Transcript
- 0:00It's Most Things Kenobi, an elegant podcast for a more
- 0:04civilized fandom. Hi everyone, Welcome to another
- 0:20episode of Most Things Kenobi, a podcast about Obi Wan Kenobi and
- 0:24all things Star Wars. I'm your host, Leanne.
- 0:27And your Co host, Clarence? If you can hear him, he's he's
- 0:31right next to the mic. And I'm your host, Laura.
- 0:38And this week, man oh man, this is Part 2 of the three-part arc
- 0:44we're doing that focuses on Ventress, and this episode is
- 0:49the second in the arc titled Monster.
- 0:52And right from the jump, I forgot that this episode
- 0:56exemplifies why this is not a kids show.
- 1:02I I have not seen this episode in a long time.
- 1:06Me either. And I I remember why now after
- 1:09watching it. It's really bad it.
- 1:13Is it's gruesome? And like, who's the monster at
- 1:18the end? Well, that's why when I said the
- 1:22title of this episode, Who is the monster?
- 1:25I think they imply it's savage, oppressed.
- 1:28But after everything that goes on, he is the least monstrous
- 1:32thing. I know, I feel like everyone is
- 1:35a monster in some way in this and he is the most innocent of
- 1:39all of it, even though he does horrible stuff.
- 1:41But he's the product of all these monsters coming together.
- 1:45And I I just, first of all, I had, like I said, I hadn't seen
- 1:51this episode in a long time. So when they first introduced
- 1:56Savage, he's with the other what are they called?
- 2:00Death Emerians? No.
- 2:02Yeah. And with the with the spikes in
- 2:04their heads. And I was like, I thought I
- 2:07could have sworn Savage was more buff than this.
- 2:13And then I I completely forgot that they transformed him and
- 2:16turn him into a ripped bodybuilder.
- 2:20I forgot about that part. Are they?
- 2:23Aren't they? Are they Zabraks?
- 2:25I don't remember. Is that what it is?
- 2:27I don't know 'cause Maul is Zabrak, but then they're living
- 2:30on Death Mirror and they're Night brothers, so I don't know
- 2:33what the hell they are. I, I yeah, that's the spiky
- 2:36headed, yeah, a version of the spiky heads.
- 2:39But you're right. They like magic him into Arnold
- 2:42Schwarzenegger and then that's his special gift for the that's.
- 2:46It his life but I forgot like how normal, like thin and and
- 2:53his face wasn't as broad when they first meet him and the
- 2:56other ones come out. Yeah, and they even make his
- 2:59horns grow longer. Yeah, yeah.
- 3:01Which, I mean, one gets broken off anyway eventually.
- 3:05So what good did that do just to make him more, I don't know,
- 3:10sinister looking? I don't.
- 3:13I feel bad for so many of those. Oh, it's just a terrible
- 3:17episode. It's a good episode, but it's
- 3:19terrifying. I remember like, it's standing
- 3:22out to me a lot the first time I I saw it because there was like
- 3:26the night sky and a comet went by and it was particularly
- 3:31beautiful and odd and it was done in the dark, which is
- 3:34obviously very difficult to do an animation, but it's so hard
- 3:39to watch it's event. It's essentially Star Wars
- 3:42Hunger Games. Yes.
- 3:45And it's really awful. And the way the whole time, and
- 3:51this is something I really had forgotten.
- 3:53The way the Night Sisters talk about these males is so
- 3:57disrespectful and gross. Yeah, right.
- 4:01In the way that women often talk about misogyny, it's the
- 4:04reverse, and it's not. It's not like taking power back.
- 4:08It's icky. It's really icky to watch it and
- 4:11I don't like it. Yeah, and and nobody wants to be
- 4:14referred to or talked to in this way.
- 4:17I don't care if it's men doing it to women, women doing it to
- 4:21men, Yeah, you know, male identifying individuals doing it
- 4:25to, you know, it's just like, it's not OK, period.
- 4:29And it's icky, just like you said, watching it as an
- 4:31animation. Yeah, it makes me really dislike
- 4:35the Night Sisters despite their they're so powerful and it
- 4:39there's supposed to be this quote UN quote, strong female
- 4:42character, you know, that we we used to hear all the time
- 4:45especially referring to like Buffy.
- 4:48Oh yeah. Oh, that takes me back.
- 4:54So like. Fine, but then to have give
- 4:59female characters agency and power and have them be so brutal
- 5:04and disrespectful and sexist it it's really disappointing to
- 5:11rewatch. It Yeah, I agree with you.
- 5:15I can digest this a little easier if I view the Night
- 5:20Sisters. All that goes on as like a cult
- 5:24version, a more specific smaller cult version of the Empire
- 5:28itself, of what the Empire end up ends up becoming.
- 5:31Interesting. Like you can have small factions
- 5:34of individuals using their power, abusing their power and
- 5:41just becoming just acting in ways that are are unnecessary in
- 5:45order to wield that power. And I think that we see a real
- 5:48display of abuse of power in this because do they have to?
- 5:51I mean, that's what makes them this version of a witch, which
- 5:54we talked about last week, is not our version of a witch we
- 5:57like. You know, we're we're a little
- 6:00turned off by the evil witch persona, but right in this case,
- 6:04they're using all of this power for all of this personal gain.
- 6:09And it's deceitful, it's duplicitous, and it's it just
- 6:12reminds me of the of what the Empire eventually becomes when
- 6:16it rises. Just so.
- 6:19I mean, it doesn't matter if it's all women or all men or
- 6:21it's Palpatine and his and his little minions.
- 6:24It's all the same. It is I I wrote this down too,
- 6:28because Mother Tellson says when they decide to send Ventress off
- 6:32to the Knight Brothers and they're going to select a A
- 6:34mate, Talzan says, quote, we will use our magics to
- 6:39manipulate his meaning. Dooku's assassin, and they are
- 6:43that. To me, they're no different than
- 6:45Sidious. Yeah, yeah.
- 6:47Talzan is just another version of what they all symbolize.
- 6:52Yeah. Which is disappointing because
- 6:54we want those strong, empowered women characters, but we get
- 6:58them with Leia and we get them with Rey and we get them with
- 7:01Ahsoka and Hera, etcetera. And you know, but we could have
- 7:06had a witch, but we didn't. Not in this version.
- 7:14Something that I learned researching for the last episode
- 7:17that we kind of like teased at the end of last episode was that
- 7:20Tauzin is the biological mother of Darth Maul and Savagopress.
- 7:26And Sidious came to Daphamir before the Clone Wars before
- 7:32Phantom Menace and he came to death mare to learn from mother
- 7:37Talzin and she was going to learn from Pam and they would
- 7:39exchange their learnings of how to use the dark side and he said
- 7:43he was going to make her his apprentice and instead he stole
- 7:47his son Maul. So Maul was just kidnapped
- 7:51basically by Sidious, and Talzin held a grudge for the rest of
- 7:57time, basically against Sidious and the dark side users and
- 8:03anyone who associated with Cydia.
- 8:05So by default then Dooku eventually.
- 8:08A mother scorned. Yes, however.
- 8:12To the NTH degree. Savage is her son and she has no
- 8:18problem disassociating from him, talking about him like he's a
- 8:21piece of meat and sending him off to be manipulated, used so
- 8:26this. It's like cherry picking when
- 8:28she has motherly feelings or I think it's really nothing to do
- 8:33with her children and has to do more with She was slighted, she
- 8:37was disrespected. For sure.
- 8:40But. And she views her her children,
- 8:43as possessions, not entities with free will.
- 8:47It's it's all it's interesting but gross.
- 8:51And this is not a kid show. Yeah 'cause.
- 8:55Holy shit. Oh, I can understand from like,
- 9:00oh God, even Ventress is over the top.
- 9:02But I can understand from maybe Ventress's point of view,
- 9:04because she's got the most recent grudge, right?
- 9:08Yeah. Oh my.
- 9:10She beats their asses without, I mean, which I love to see.
- 9:16Just kick them. Just go, Ventress, go.
- 9:20But at the same time, Oh my God, stop.
- 9:24It's a bit drastic. It's almost like they're
- 9:28expendable, like clones. Yeah.
- 9:30But, but the Jedi definitely treat clones with more respect
- 9:35than than this group treats this entity of men.
- 9:41I think, even though they have so many clones that they're just
- 9:44expendable and they have to leave them where they lie.
- 9:47You know, which I always had a problem with, But like fallen
- 9:50soldiers, right? You got to, you got to keep
- 9:52going. But these these were just
- 9:55discarded in the Hunger Game. I just love how Star Wars.
- 10:00In Clone Wars they just have fields of these sort of obstacle
- 10:04courses that they just use. Where do they get convenient?
- 10:09Like they had them for the I don't know what the What's the
- 10:13Kenobi. Oh my my brain's shot for the.
- 10:18The box. The for the Yeah when he turns
- 10:21into what's his name and pisses Anakin off.
- 10:23Oh, Reiko Hardeen, yeah. They had a game.
- 10:26Shocks yeah. Yeah, boss, for they had the
- 10:30squid games. They just pop up whenever
- 10:32necessary in Star Wars. Like, what the fuck?
- 10:35It's true. And actually this arena kind of
- 10:37reminded me of the mortise arena, but in reverse.
- 10:40Like reverse. Color totally which could see
- 10:44that. Makes sense if like all mother,
- 10:47Talzin left Mortis and brought all her weird shit to death,
- 10:52Amir and set up shop. She did.
- 10:54The old one finger to the forehead knocked him right out.
- 10:56Which the Father does. Yes, and I noticed it more this
- 11:01time because you and I talked about how like, if that's her
- 11:03sleeping pill, I want in. Remember from last episode, I
- 11:08still want please sign me up for this, but I just realized how
- 11:12much her finger. I know it's the animation style,
- 11:14but like with the nail and everything was so like the
- 11:17father. Yeah, it is.
- 11:19I think there's something there to that theory, I really do.
- 11:22And if not, they're really, it's a red herring, 'cause it's so
- 11:26there's so much there that could be that it almost feels like
- 11:30they're doing it on purpose, if you're paying attention.
- 11:32There was a lot to this that was like an evil version of Mortis.
- 11:40I I just forgot how much violence there was in it.
- 11:44Me too. And I had totally forgotten that
- 11:46the people who are the brothers, who are unsuccessful were
- 11:49killed. It wasn't just like.
- 11:53Sliced and diced. Yeah, like, holy fucking shit
- 11:56guys. Like, no respect for life
- 11:59whatsoever. And it's even more heartbreaking
- 12:02that Savage sacrifices himself for his brother and that that
- 12:07adds a whole layer. And OK, so as as I was re
- 12:11watching, I was like, he's controllable because he has an
- 12:15attachment to his brother, right?
- 12:17So And then he converts to like sacrifices himself to Ventress
- 12:22to protect his brother out of hatred, not out of loyalty.
- 12:26So that's a weak bond to begin with.
- 12:29Yeah, totally. And then they have him kill his
- 12:32own brother at the end, thus removing the only piece of
- 12:35control they had over him. I know they were trying to prove
- 12:38that there was like nothing left inside him anymore.
- 12:41So terrible. It is terrible, but then as like
- 12:45the the show evolves and Savage's plot evolves, he
- 12:49doesn't give a shit about Ventress.
- 12:50He very no rarely will actually do what she tells him.
- 12:54Yeah, he ends up bonding with Maul more.
- 12:57Yeah. Because Maul, whether it's
- 12:59genuine or not, respects him and treats him like a a brother
- 13:05maybe Like a kid brother where? Yes.
- 13:08Maul still knows he's like the most powerful one, and don't get
- 13:11it twisted. Right.
- 13:13And then we know what ends up happening to Savage, and it's so
- 13:17sad. Yeah, his whole arc is
- 13:21absolutely heartbreaking. He's just another pawn in this
- 13:25big giant game where nobody really wins other than like the
- 13:30main puppeteers at the top. It's disgusting.
- 13:34God, Star Wars pain. It makes me wonder, like I very
- 13:40genuinely wonder if when it was written they thought it was
- 13:44cool, or if they were aware how gross their themes were.
- 13:49I think it was done to show just how different they are
- 13:53comparatively to what the Jedi are trying to do.
- 13:58I don't know. That's the only way I can like
- 14:00reason the excessiveness in this episode.
- 14:04I keep, I I found myself constantly trying to be like,
- 14:07well, it's just another culture, Lauren, You, you just don't live
- 14:09in that culture. You don't understand that
- 14:11culture. Like maybe that's how they do it
- 14:14on death of me or like all the way the witches are treating the
- 14:17brothers. And I just kept thinking like,
- 14:20how do you be that archaeologist or whatever?
- 14:23The anthropologist was just like observing without judgement.
- 14:28It was very difficult because it's so ruthless.
- 14:32I wonder if they had to because of how crazy Maul was.
- 14:36So maybe they were trying to set the stage for more of his type
- 14:40and so they had to make him like, I don't know, I'm, I'm
- 14:43kind of reaching here, but there had to been a reason, 'cause I
- 14:47don't feel like that team did anything without some reason.
- 14:52Right, right. It was never just a throw away.
- 14:54Yeah, so I I got to believe it was symbolic somewhere hard to
- 14:59hard to see it when you're watching their arms and limbs
- 15:02and entire bodies just get sliced and tossed away like
- 15:05they're nothing. Like, yeah.
- 15:08Well, like the very first thing Ventris does when she gets there
- 15:12is choke out some guy and then tell someone else they're too
- 15:15skinny and someone else they're too weak.
- 15:18Yeah, it's. Terrible messaging.
- 15:22It's just so sad. I mean, if you think about the
- 15:24modeling industry, that's what men do to women all the time and
- 15:27other women I shouldn't. Say.
- 15:29Exclusive. The women can be just as
- 15:31venomous as the men in the fashion industry.
- 15:34So to me that was that was the violent version of the that that
- 15:42show. Yeah, that's it.
- 15:44I could it was like runway something.
- 15:48I'm sorry, your pleats are too obvious.
- 15:51You have to go. With an.
- 15:55X, You're weak. We have to kill you.
- 15:57It's just terrible anyway. God.
- 16:00It's. I did kind of think it was cool,
- 16:06which of course I knew this, but like, I don't know.
- 16:08It hit differently now after seeing the Ahsoka show that
- 16:12Mother Talzin provides Savage with an enchanted bleed, which
- 16:18again, there's an enchanted blade in Mortise.
- 16:22In the mortise? Yep.
- 16:26So she either had a crush on the dad, father and said, you know
- 16:32what, I'm I'm going to style all my business just like his.
- 16:36Or she was a part of that and she said I'm out, but I'm going
- 16:41to take a few things with me when I go.
- 16:45There's got to be something there.
- 16:48It just seems terribly obvious, but I guess you could argue it's
- 16:52just a force thing, but. Could be.
- 16:55Yeah, sure. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 16:57I don't know. I mean, Ray ends up having a
- 16:59blade in the sequel trilogy. A small remember that thing that
- 17:04she had and had the writings on it, and he lined it up.
- 17:07I always thought that should have been the mortise blade.
- 17:11Oh yeah, that would have been a great, great connection.
- 17:15Oh my God, now I'm pissed. That would have been so good.
- 17:20Oh my. God, even I remember just the
- 17:22trailers. I was like, Oh my God, that
- 17:24could be the mortise blade. And then, of course, it wasn't
- 17:26so missed. Opportunity #672.
- 17:33Right, Disney, come on, you have our number.
- 17:36Let's let's talk. Let's talk for real.
- 17:39We will. Fill your plot holes and make
- 17:41your stories a little bit better.
- 17:44That's all. Just teeny little things like
- 17:47that. Anything would take, so you put
- 17:50it in anyway. Make it have more meaning.
- 17:53Yeah, exactly. Well, anyway, damn.
- 17:57Yeah, they take, Oh well, I guess they don't take mall like,
- 18:01well, yes they do. They take mall to see Dooku and
- 18:04then Dooku. Test No.
- 18:06Oh, I'm sorry. You're savage.
- 18:08No, Savage. Sorry.
- 18:11Well. What's crazy is that if you say
- 18:12Assange and Savage too close together, it's true that too.
- 18:18And then Mall and Savage are two peas in a pod.
- 18:20So yeah, there's a lot of confusing shit in this, in this
- 18:23corner of the Galaxy. Yeah, my brain is just mushing
- 18:27it all together and into one person.
- 18:31Anyway, what I met was Savage. They take Savage Sudoku and he
- 18:35tests him. And that's where we see Devron,
- 18:38which we talked about in the episode.
- 18:40What was it a couple episodes ago?
- 18:43The book when we were doing another story review from a
- 18:46certain point of view, they talk about Devron, the Jedi Temple
- 18:49and the Jedi Revveron. Was that was the chef the head
- 18:54chef of Bespin? Yes.
- 18:57Was Devronian. Yes.
- 19:00And. She made reference to a Jedi
- 19:02temple and a holiday or something like that, and then
- 19:05also had the temple got destroyed and we see the savage
- 19:11shows up and just kills the Jedi Master and the Padawan in like
- 19:1610 seconds. It's nothing.
- 19:17Oh, it's he, flings the little padawan.
- 19:21Yeah, they didn't even show it. And just like crumples, it's.
- 19:25Too awkward because not a kid show.
- 19:27Holy cow. That's crazy.
- 19:30We don't really see Ventris kill any Jedi, do we?
- 19:35Kill Jedi. I know we see her kill clones
- 19:39and she's always going after Anakin.
- 19:41Yeah, well, so am I. Not in the same way, but you
- 19:48know what I mean? Yeah.
- 19:51I don't think she's killed a Jedi.
- 19:53That's interesting though, if you think about it.
- 19:55Maybe there's a reason there. She's rocking the hood, though.
- 19:59She is And a mask, which now just makes me think of COVID,
- 20:02but I know that that's not what it was intended.
- 20:04For Yeah, yeah. I don't know.
- 20:06She She. I think she's better without the
- 20:08hood. Hey, did you?
- 20:09I I. Her nose has a wrinkle in it to
- 20:14me that it's just reminiscent of my dogs, which I don't mean to.
- 20:17Like. Compare to a dog.
- 20:19But it just it's it like gave me a sentimental feeling which I
- 20:23know is not the right feeling. That was my own projecting onto
- 20:28the. Character but.
- 20:30Yeah, I don't know. I like ventures.
- 20:32Without it. She's so, like, striking.
- 20:35But I guess, like, what was the point of it?
- 20:37Because it's not like she was hiding her identity.
- 20:40No, I'm not sure. I don't know.
- 20:42Masks and hoods are for to build mystery.
- 20:45I don't know. Just to be intrigued, I guess.
- 20:48I guess so. It's the hood that never moves,
- 20:51though, and I would like one in a windstorm, yeah.
- 20:56Yeah, there was something I was curious about which I I don't
- 21:00have an exact answer for this, but last week we talked about
- 21:04the Kariatids, the the statues that were like holding up.
- 21:07I noticed also above that is a giant like head with the mouth
- 21:11open. Yeah.
- 21:14Which is I I want to learn more. I haven't really had time to
- 21:18research it in too much depth. Like, what does that symbolize
- 21:21when a statue's mouth is hanging open like that?
- 21:24And what I saw really quickly is that it's like a portal.
- 21:28Oh, oh, OK. Yeah.
- 21:30Yeah. Which?
- 21:30Kind of makes sense because then they showed Dooku enter the
- 21:34Night Sisters temple from above through that statue's mouth.
- 21:39Like it looks like they're walking into the mouth.
- 21:42I think that's that's kind of interesting.
- 21:44Again, I didn't research it in too much depth, so if anyone out
- 21:47there knows width that is a reference to, if it's based on
- 21:51anything specific, I'd be really interested to hear.
- 21:53I tried to research it really quick.
- 21:55I'm sure that this has got to be like a reference to to something
- 21:58that I just didn't have time to research enough, but if anyone
- 22:02knows I would really be interested to learn more.
- 22:04About that I would love to know. Do you know anything about why
- 22:07why these Death Amirians are yellow versus why Mall?
- 22:12'S red. Red.
- 22:13I don't know. And people have said that like,
- 22:16mall's color, like the black is actually tattooing.
- 22:19I don't know. Oh, I'm.
- 22:21I'm not really sure. It says here gold because
- 22:25sauvage is gold in my in my opinion he's a hue of gold, not
- 22:30bright yellow. And according to this, it says
- 22:34gold is associated with male energy and the power of the sun,
- 22:38SUN, but could be SON. Compared with silver, which is
- 22:43related to female energy in the moon, gold adds richness and
- 22:46warmth to everything it comes in contact with.
- 22:50Yeah, totally him. It's optimistic and positive.
- 22:55It's the color of wealth and high status, success,
- 22:58achievement and triumph. So maybe it was some of that
- 23:04twist on it. Yeah, yeah.
- 23:07Almost ironic. That it's corruption.
- 23:11Yeah, yeah. Yikes.
- 23:15That was interesting how they basically turn him into an
- 23:18animal at the end. Oh yeah, that's the only way.
- 23:22He has like, a snarling, like animal sounds even coming out of
- 23:26him. Yeah, which is very.
- 23:28Keep in mind folks, that Obi Wan fought off him and Maul with
- 23:36just himself and two lightsabers.
- 23:38How bad ass is that? That is hot.
- 23:43It's really hot. It's really hot.
- 23:46I mean. He actually.
- 23:47He cuts off Savage's arm in that duel, and there is this shot
- 23:52that is. I'll never forget it.
- 23:54I didn't see it the first time I watched it, but there's a moment
- 23:57he swoops under, cuts off Savage's arm and like they show
- 24:02his feet land and savages our lands.
- 24:05Between his feet so. Dramatic and gross.
- 24:11Very awful. It's really icky.
- 24:16He's always dismembering the mall family.
- 24:19Yeah, well, I was including Anakin in that.
- 24:23So oopsie, oopsie. He does go for the limbs.
- 24:28He does. He cuts off a lot of limbs.
- 24:31Well, he tries to stop them from coming on without killing them.
- 24:34That's his style, just dismembering them.
- 24:38Yeah, Dismember. Oh God.
- 24:41But it stands to prove when you see a scene like Savage going to
- 24:44that Jedi temple and knocking out one Jedi and his or her
- 24:49Padawan. Just like that plus a bunch of
- 24:51guards and and droids and all this stuff one and then Kenobi
- 24:54does just handles him and Maul at the same it's oh God oh
- 25:01powerful powerful dude. He doesn't get enough credit.
- 25:05It's hot. Yeah.
- 25:07That's why it's my favorite scene ever.
- 25:10We love him here. If you don't know, just in case.
- 25:17Just just a twinge, I don't think.
- 25:18I have anything else? I just wrote that the story is
- 25:21fucking awful. It's all.
- 25:23Yeah, it's it's a pretty violent tale.
- 25:25No good comes from it on either front.
- 25:28Savage's story. It's just as sad as Assange.
- 25:33Ventress. Savage Oppress Assange,
- 25:36Ventress. Their stories are just sad.
- 25:40Maybe that's the maybe that is the overarching theme here,
- 25:44People doing wrong to other people having wrong done to
- 25:48them. Yeah, they say that pain has
- 25:50like a ripple effect. Oh, it doesn't.
- 25:52It does for sure in this. So if you're a wounded person,
- 25:56you'll just perpetuate that on other people until you learn
- 25:59some sort of compassion, Which she does, sort of eventually,
- 26:02but even after, because she has her transformation while Savage
- 26:08and Maul are running all over the Galaxy still.
- 26:10So that's when she remembers she gets the bounty to go and kill
- 26:15Savage. She still wants him dead even
- 26:17after everything, and it's like she's the one who ruined his
- 26:21life and turned him into this monster.
- 26:23You started this, Ventress. Well then maybe she should have
- 26:27been the one to end it. Oh well.
- 26:29She was not, though. It was Sidious, wasn't it?
- 26:32Sidious is the one who Oh yeah, well.
- 26:34I don't even think we do. We see it.
- 26:36Yes, we do see it. We do 'cause he dies and then
- 26:39kind of like shrinks a little bit, like back into his normal
- 26:44self. And he says to maul that.
- 26:47Yeah, Maul's there. That's what I remember.
- 26:48Yeah, he says something like, oh, it's so heartbreaking.
- 26:51I can't remember but. Brother, I am an unworthy
- 26:54apprentice. I'm not like you.
- 26:56I never was. But it's so sad.
- 26:59Oh my God. I hate it.
- 27:04It makes my skin hurt. Like just all of this is so
- 27:08brutal and and heartless. And we, I think we sometimes
- 27:12forget that about Ventress because we're always like, oh,
- 27:14Venture is such a badass and she has this great evolution and
- 27:17it's like there's this really gross part in the middle where I
- 27:21don't like this. This doesn't sit well with me,
- 27:24honestly. Well.
- 27:26It says here he's a Dathomirian Zabric night brother, so he's
- 27:29all three and go back to what we were saying earlier.
- 27:33Is he Dathamurian? Is he Zabric?
- 27:34What he's he's all and then some is the full.
- 27:39Package deal. Feel bad for him?
- 27:42I do. I do.
- 27:43Too. He deserved better, just like so
- 27:46many people in Star Wars. Yeah, really.
- 27:48And their path chosen unchosen. I don't know.
- 27:52It's just I don't think when these characters go into it,
- 27:57they can foresee the end that awaits them because it's so
- 28:00beyond what they're led to believe in the beginning that
- 28:04they never ever, I mean from people like Talzin and Mall and
- 28:11then the father in Mortis and then, you know, because I'm
- 28:14pretty sure the son never thought the father would, you
- 28:16know, all this business. And then, of course, Sidious,
- 28:18that nobody, nobody really knows how awful it is at the end of
- 28:23whatever they have set up for them.
- 28:26What's what we've said before sometimes, like if you knew the
- 28:29end, you'd never start. Yeah, it's true.
- 28:38So next week we will wrap up this three episode arc
- 28:42discussion with the final episode of this arc titled The
- 28:46Witches of the Mist, and it's going to have it all just like
- 28:50these other two have. I hope it's less depressing.
- 28:55Less depressing, Yeah, except, you know Star Wars is pain, so
- 29:00come prepared, right? So last week we obviously were
- 29:05talking about part one of this arc, the episode called Night
- 29:07Sisters and we spent a few minutes chatting about Dooku's
- 29:11pajamas, which was hilarious. And then our friend Ben sent us.
- 29:17It's It's so funny. Is it?
- 29:20What was the game? I can't remember now.
- 29:21It was Battlefront. Battlefront, yeah.
- 29:24It was one of the skins. That you could One of the skins
- 29:27Dooku's Exquisite Pajamas, that's actually what.
- 29:32Yes, they were exquisite, and I'm glad that they're in
- 29:35Battlefront. And Ben, thanks for sharing that
- 29:38skin with us because. It literally made my day.
