Transcript
- 0:00SPEAKER_03: Hey guys, welcome to Housewives Goss and Glitter.
- 0:02SPEAKER_03: Today we're on the Real Housewives of New York, episode four, season 16.
- 0:08SPEAKER_03: And we start off again at Daisy's to continue this very awkward Seder.
- 0:16SPEAKER_01: Oh my god.
- 0:17SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 0:18SPEAKER_03: Everyone is still so I mean we go the first scene is literally like in the fight, and Aaron and Haley hashing it out.
- 0:27SPEAKER_01: I watched them like what a week apart or something.
- 0:31SPEAKER_01: So when the episode started, I was like, wait, is this the last episode?
- 0:35SPEAKER_01: I forgot that they just like continued right into the fight.
- 0:38SPEAKER_03: Yeah, because they start off like because Aaron gets mad at Haley and brings up the fact that she apparently she broke up a marriage with a guy who had eight kids, and Haley's like, that is just not what happened.
- 0:54SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I feel like it was a big swing.
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: Like Haley, jam.
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: Like you're not sure.
- 1:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:05SPEAKER_01: She was like, Well, you called me boring.
- 1:07SPEAKER_01: So I wanted to say that you broke up a marriage with a guy who had eight kids.
- 1:13SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, those two things are like really far apart, and that's like so extreme.
- 1:19SPEAKER_01: Like, I don't know if I would have gone there.
- 1:22SPEAKER_01: But I thought it was really funny because Haley like has zero movement in her face.
- 1:29SPEAKER_01: So the way that she's like expressing her anger, she's like, and everybody's just looking around the room, like laughing.
- 1:36SPEAKER_01: And Erin's just like, Why are you breathing like that?
- 1:38SPEAKER_01: Did you hear her?
- 1:39SPEAKER_03: Like it was, and yeah, she was like, I feel like she was trying so hard to like not blow up, and then it yeah, it got kind of weird, and then everyone's like, Let's just Daisy literally gets in the middle of them.
- 1:55SPEAKER_03: But my thing was, sorry, I have to backtrack a little bit, but Erin kept saying that the reason she was mad is because Haley was saying it behind her back and she was a snake.
- 2:06SPEAKER_03: I'm like, Yeah, you that is not that is not what makes you mad.
- 2:12SPEAKER_03: You are actually mad about being called boring and like damn, and that is why you came in with the low blow of the jam, the gift of the jam.
- 2:23SPEAKER_01: Like right, this has been like back and forth too.
- 2:26SPEAKER_01: Like the boring thing came from Aaron talking about Haley and like getting knocked in her nose with a boob.
- 2:36unknown: Yeah.
- 2:37SPEAKER_01: So like this whole thing is kind of like stupid, honestly.
- 2:40SPEAKER_01: It's like Haley tells her the story about the boob, then Aaron repeats the story to like the girl that this happened with and a bunch of other people, and Haley was like WTF, that wasn't like a funny story that I wanted you to repeat.
- 2:54SPEAKER_01: And then Haley calls her jam, and then Aaron gives her jam, and it's like, okay, can we just like yeah, this is not that serious, it really isn't.
- 3:02SPEAKER_03: No, and then in the middle of the fight, though, Daisy gets up and she's like, I spent all this money and I spent all day cooking food, and she's like literally like in their face, like looking like she's trying to like break them apart.
- 3:15SPEAKER_01: How about what Jessle said?
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: Jessle annoyed me the most out of this whole conversation because Haley was like, like, when she wanted to try to explain what happened, she was like, I was young, this was traumatizing for me, like the paparazzi, this like destroyed my life.
- 3:31SPEAKER_01: The paparazzi were stalking me.
- 3:33SPEAKER_01: And Jessel's like, Well, I'm so glad that you told us that because when I heard this, and I'm just like, and then Haley just like cuts her off, and I'm like, Jessel, shut the fuck up.
- 3:43SPEAKER_01: This has nothing to do with you, first of all, and like second of all, why would Haley have to explain like you appreciate that she's explaining herself?
- 3:52SPEAKER_01: It's like this happened like a million years ago.
- 3:55SPEAKER_01: Why should she have to explain this to them?
- 3:58SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 3:59SPEAKER_01: This has nothing to do.
- 4:00SPEAKER_01: This was like way before the show.
- 4:02SPEAKER_01: It's like, why would she, why would she be like, yeah, 20 years ago or whatever this was, I like was accused of having an affair with this guy on TV.
- 4:12SPEAKER_01: Like, it's like, why does she owe them an explanation for like Jess was just like, oh, thank you so much for telling me.
- 4:17SPEAKER_03: Then Aaron kept saying she posted on TikTok, which I guess Haley did post the tabloids on TikTok, but at the same time, it doesn't it's nothing to do with them though, yeah.
- 4:28SPEAKER_03: It's nothing to do with them.
- 4:30SPEAKER_03: And she said the tabloids, but it's not like she I don't know, people weren't questioning it, and she has the right to explain herself again, I guess now that she's like back on T like now that she's on TV, but I don't think it's anything to like be thrown around, and like you said, it happened a million years ago.
- 4:48SPEAKER_01: I'm just saying that like she can choose to talk about it because she's on TV, but I just thought it was stupid that Jessel chimed in as if like she was appreciative, like she owed them some sort of explanation.
- 4:59SPEAKER_01: I'm like, why would she owe you an explanation about this?
- 5:02SPEAKER_01: This has nothing to do with you.
- 5:03SPEAKER_01: It happened a million years ago.
- 5:04SPEAKER_01: Like, do you know John Gossel?
- 5:06SPEAKER_03: No, yeah, and then Sai had to be like, Well, we got the media side and you're a side, and I'm like, Okay, this is a lie.
- 5:14SPEAKER_01: So, like even if it came out that like she did have an affair with this guy, like actually, like, say she admitted to that, it's like it still happened a million years ago, and they're divorced, yeah.
- 5:26SPEAKER_01: And they could they were getting a divorce, like they were separated, so it's like that's been confirmed.
- 5:31SPEAKER_01: So it's like this is I don't think it's like that scandalous.
- 5:34SPEAKER_01: And he's only 10 years, he she was in her early 20s, he was in his early 30s.
- 5:38SPEAKER_01: Like, he wasn't like a 70-year-old man, this isn't like Anna Nicole Smith and that like super old guy.
- 5:44SPEAKER_01: It was like it was like a 10-year difference.
- 5:47SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm like, it it wasn't I get it was traumatizing for her, but I don't think her part in it in it was like that bad.
- 5:54SPEAKER_01: Like, there's been much worse scandals that have come out on this fucking show.
- 5:58SPEAKER_03: Yes, much worse.
- 6:00SPEAKER_03: Yeah, Haley like gets up and leaves though, and then this part killed me.
- 6:04SPEAKER_03: So Haley comes back, right?
- 6:06SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and she goes to fix her makeup, and she's like, I have to go to the bathroom, give me a second.
- 6:11SPEAKER_03: And Jessel's like, You need to fix it here.
- 6:13SPEAKER_03: Use a sponge.
- 6:14SPEAKER_03: I have a sponge in my bag, and I'm like, such a bitch, she's such a bitch.
- 6:18SPEAKER_01: It's like in front of everybody.
- 6:19SPEAKER_01: She's like, Oh, I have a sponge, you might want to dab that under your eyes.
- 6:24SPEAKER_01: And I'm just like, and Erica's like, No, you look perfect.
- 6:26SPEAKER_01: And I was like, You guys are both such fake assholes.
- 6:30SPEAKER_01: Go to the bathroom, like, why don't you need to say anything?
- 6:34SPEAKER_00: Like, it's so rude.
- 6:36SPEAKER_03: No, and then oh my god, though, it was funny because then in the confessional, though, Erica goes, This is why I like white white people holidays because everyone, or no, waspy holidays, not white people, waspy.
- 6:49SPEAKER_03: I was like, wait, what?
- 6:50SPEAKER_03: I was like, that's not the right term.
- 6:52SPEAKER_03: Waspy holidays because everyone just suppresses their feelings, yeah.
- 6:56SPEAKER_01: That was that's funny, yeah.
- 6:59SPEAKER_03: But and then Haley starts saying how the Seder is like the most the worst Seder in the history of Judaism.
- 7:08SPEAKER_01: Oh my god.
- 7:09SPEAKER_01: Also, like I thought it was funny that we find out that that guy is not just Daisy's driver, he's like her assistant, he's like this young guy that just does all these chores for her.
- 7:21SPEAKER_01: She's like, what's the one?
- 7:22SPEAKER_01: She's like Dale.
- 7:23SPEAKER_01: Yeah, she's I'm like, I didn't even know Dale was there.
- 7:26SPEAKER_01: She's like, she's like, Dale, bring out the food, uh.
- 7:31SPEAKER_03: I'm like, oh my god, yeah.
- 7:33SPEAKER_03: Oh, this also annoyed me about Jessel.
- 7:35SPEAKER_03: So Daisy is like calling out for Dale, right?
- 7:38SPEAKER_03: And she had offered to help Daisy, but she like doesn't make a move to like help.
- 7:43SPEAKER_03: Daisy goes, No, no, I'm like, Jessel, if your friend says no, but she's clearly having an issue getting everything ready, just stand up and help your friend.
- 7:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you couldn't just like get up instead of the channel.
- 8:05SPEAKER_03: Like, I always offer to help, or like if someone else made dinner, like I try and do the dishes type of thing, and I'm like, less you yeah, it was bad.
- 8:16SPEAKER_01: No, that was annoying because she had no intention to help.
- 8:19SPEAKER_01: I am not like a kitchen helper, so I will bring what you want me to bring or buy whatever you want me to buy, but I also don't fake pretend, like I can't help you cook, so I'm not gonna like give you a fake offer to help you.
- 8:33SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean?
- 8:35SPEAKER_01: Like, I'll help you with something else, but it just seemed so fake.
- 8:39SPEAKER_03: Like she could have gotten the wine or brought a plate in or something, and then she said that she didn't even like the matzo ball soup, and then I almost died when Carol goes and needed more salt, and I was like, they're just I will kill you.
- 8:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's like first you guys come over, you're unimpressed with her parents' house, and you're making all these comments, and now you're gonna like then you're fighting at the table, and now you're gonna complain about the food.
- 9:04SPEAKER_01: They're like awful, they're awful house guests.
- 9:07SPEAKER_03: I know, and Daisy's like, they've been here for 50 years, and like then Jessel tries to explain that she wasn't making fun of the popcorn ceilings, and I'm like, You were making fun of the popcorn ceilings, you took a dig at it.
- 9:22SPEAKER_01: This whole conversation pissed me off so badly.
- 9:26SPEAKER_01: It's like she's like, Oh, honestly, like we weren't making fun of you at all.
- 9:30SPEAKER_01: I thought we were laughing together.
- 9:32SPEAKER_01: It's like Daisy wasn't laughing.
- 9:35SPEAKER_01: You guys were making snarky comments behind her back that she could hear from the kitchen.
- 9:40SPEAKER_01: Then you were saying that there was dust falling from the popcorn ceiling onto Erica's head.
- 9:46SPEAKER_01: I'm like, you were definitely making fun of her, like in front of her and behind her back.
- 9:51SPEAKER_01: And it was so rude when she invited you over for a glass.
- 9:54SPEAKER_01: Like, someone invites you over for a glass of wine and you insult their home inside their home.
- 9:59SPEAKER_01: Like it's so fucking rude.
- 10:02SPEAKER_01: It's like so rude.
- 10:03SPEAKER_01: Like she again, like you said, like she just has she she's like trying to be super classy, but she does everything that you don't do when you're actually classy.
- 10:12SPEAKER_01: Like, you do not do that.
- 10:14SPEAKER_01: That is so fucking rude.
- 10:15SPEAKER_01: She's awful.
- 10:16SPEAKER_01: Oh my god, I just I hate her so much.
- 10:19SPEAKER_01: But I also like hated Cy in this scene, too, by the way.
- 10:22SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah, because Sai goes after Daisy because she's saying that Daisy is jealous, and Daisy's like, I'm not jealous, my rent is controlled, it's$350 a month or whatever, something insane like that, right?
- 10:37SPEAKER_03: Like, so cheap.
- 10:39SPEAKER_03: $300.
- 10:40SPEAKER_03: Yeah,$300.
- 10:42SPEAKER_03: And Daisy's like, I'm not jealous, but like I know where I want to put my money, and then somehow Sai gets actually upset about it, and then Daisy says, But you spend way too much on rent, like you're you don't.
- 10:58SPEAKER_03: She does, yeah.
- 10:59SPEAKER_01: She spends way too much money on rent for a person that's sitting there complaining that it's a one-income household because her lazy ass husband isn't working, and it's like, so why the fuck are you living in a$25,000 a month apartment?
- 11:13SPEAKER_01: Like, that is stupid.
- 11:14SPEAKER_01: I'm sorry, I would never give up a rent-controlled$300 apartment unless I had like Erica level wealth.
- 11:24SPEAKER_01: Like a$300 a month apartment, even if you like were like, okay, I really want to upgrade, I would still fucking keep that apartment.
- 11:32SPEAKER_01: Somebody that I know would be living in that apartment.
- 11:34SPEAKER_01: There is no fucking way that I would give up a$300 rent-controlled apartment in New York City.
- 11:39SPEAKER_01: That is insane.
- 11:41SPEAKER_01: Insane.
- 11:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 11:42SPEAKER_01: And you I mean, I would make improvements to the apartment.
- 11:45SPEAKER_01: Can you do that?
- 11:46SPEAKER_01: Can you like do stuff to it?
- 11:48SPEAKER_03: Well, I mean, they have because they obviously it's rent.
- 11:51SPEAKER_03: So I mean, they probably could.
- 11:53SPEAKER_03: It sounds like Daisy has tried it, but I mean, the last thing on my mind would want to be spending money on the popcorn ceiling and spending the time and effort, it's a ceiling.
- 12:03SPEAKER_03: You know what I mean?
- 12:04SPEAKER_01: I I mean, if she can afford it and they've been there for a really long time, like if it's not a problem to fix it, like, and you're gonna be living there forever, yeah, I would.
- 12:16SPEAKER_01: But like also, I think it's they're acting like I just thought it was so rude of Sai to be like, I think it does bother you that we all live differently.
- 12:25SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, you live differently.
- 12:26SPEAKER_01: There's two of you here that are super stuck up about money, Jessel and Sai.
- 12:31SPEAKER_01: And both of them have husbands that are not working and not bringing any money, and they're complaining about it all the time.
- 12:37SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 12:37SPEAKER_01: Because you want to.
- 12:38SPEAKER_01: I mean, that's not right, but it's also like because you're living in apartments that cost tens of thousands of dollars, and that's so fucking important to you.
- 12:46SPEAKER_01: It's like, yeah, no, I'd rather be with Eugene, who works, in my$300 a month apartment, and I can chop as much as I want.
- 12:53SPEAKER_01: Thank you very much.
- 12:54SPEAKER_03: Cause I just goes, it makes me happy, it makes me happy, and I have a pool and I have this, and I'm like, okay, that's great that it makes you happy, but like I don't think Daisy is jealous.
- 13:03SPEAKER_03: If Daisy was jealous, her and her husband both work, they could probably go find a different apartment.
- 13:09SPEAKER_03: But like you said, they struck gold.
- 13:12SPEAKER_03: Even Carol was like, you don't give up a rank-controlled apartment.
- 13:16SPEAKER_01: That's absurd, and also if Martha Stewart can get her makeup done in that apartment, Jessel and Sai can like sit there and have a fucking glass of wine.
- 13:26SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm sorry, but that's like they're being so stupid.
- 13:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I know.
- 13:30SPEAKER_01: And Sai's like, I'm so happy, I'm so happy that I'm able to do this for my kids.
- 13:34SPEAKER_01: It's like you don't fucking seem happy.
- 13:36SPEAKER_03: No, she seems like absolutely miserable with everything.
- 13:41SPEAKER_01: I just thought it was so rude.
- 13:44SPEAKER_01: I was like, This girl is supposed to be your best friend for like years and years, and these two girls came over to her apartment and like shit on it because they don't think she lives in a nice place, and you're like siding with them.
- 13:54SPEAKER_01: It's like, yeah, why?
- 13:55SPEAKER_03: And then I like how she's like, and Daisy has a shopping addiction, she has things that she spent, and I'm like, okay.
- 14:03SPEAKER_01: Again, I would rather spend my money shopping and having a fabulous closet and pay$300 a month in rent.
- 14:12SPEAKER_01: They're acting like she lives in a hovel, like it's a nice apartment, it's like it's outdated.
- 14:18SPEAKER_01: But if you can, if you wanted to spend some money fixing stuff up, I would 100% do that.
- 14:23SPEAKER_01: There is no way I would move.
- 14:25SPEAKER_01: Like, there's no way.
- 14:25SPEAKER_03: Yeah, no, no, not even close.
- 14:28SPEAKER_03: Like, and with all the money she's saving, she can redo her decor all the time.
- 14:33SPEAKER_01: With all the money she's saving, she can literally be like going to Europe and living in Airbnbs for like months at a time.
- 14:42SPEAKER_01: Yep, I mean, exactly.
- 14:44SPEAKER_03: She already gets to go the first class life with Martha.
- 14:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no, this is like the stupidest fucking conversation.
- 14:50SPEAKER_01: I'm like, you girls are just morons for having this take on things.
- 14:54SPEAKER_01: Like, I do not understand.
- 14:56SPEAKER_03: Yeah, they're like out of touch.
- 14:58SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 14:58SPEAKER_03: It's very strange.
- 15:00SPEAKER_01: But I it's just uh I just hated it because it's like then when we have that scene later on with Jessel, she's in this like gorgeous apartment in Chelsea, but she's sitting there bitching because they're only a one-income household, and it's so stressful.
- 15:11SPEAKER_01: And it's like, okay, you're living beyond your means, and you're shitting on somebody who's living well within theirs and doing what they want with their time, like shopping and gallivanting around the world with Martha Stewart.
- 15:23SPEAKER_01: Like, I do not understand.
- 15:24SPEAKER_01: Like, are you jealous of Daisy?
- 15:26SPEAKER_03: Yeah, right.
- 15:27SPEAKER_03: I know.
- 15:28SPEAKER_01: I'm jealous of Daisy, and she has Dale.
- 15:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's true.
- 15:33SPEAKER_01: She has d I would love to have a Dale, a guy to drive me around and like do all these tasks for me.
- 15:38SPEAKER_03: Like, I know she needs you know what?
- 15:40SPEAKER_03: I was thinking that because if we watched OC2 and then Shannon spends like 3K on Ubers, like at that point, you could probably hire a driver.
- 15:52SPEAKER_01: She said she spent 3k on Ubers.
- 15:54SPEAKER_01: I'm like, you could also get like a Porsche for less than that a month.
- 15:59SPEAKER_03: Right, I know.
- 16:00SPEAKER_03: But doesn't she have a car?
- 16:01SPEAKER_03: She has a car.
- 16:02SPEAKER_03: I thought she had like a SUV because she drives around with it in the dogs, but she spent$3,000 a month on Uber.
- 16:11SPEAKER_03: I have no idea.
- 16:13SPEAKER_03: That's but anyway, that's the OC.
- 16:16SPEAKER_03: So we're back here, but no, we're back here.
- 16:18SPEAKER_01: We could jump to Carol then confronting Jessel, which I loved.
- 16:23SPEAKER_03: Yes, Carol is basically like she's not she's not a season, not like her friend.
- 16:31SPEAKER_03: It's not Carolyn Bissette Summer, it's not a season, she was a real person, like it was like they died tragically.
- 16:39SPEAKER_03: She was like, and you just think of it as the show, and she was like, She was my best friend.
- 16:46SPEAKER_03: Like, you just need to think of that.
- 16:48SPEAKER_03: Like, I lost my best friend.
- 16:50SPEAKER_03: You aren't getting that part.
- 16:53SPEAKER_01: I mean, I think what was so cringy about it was she just like things settled down, and then Carol just kind of like lectured her in this like really like calm voice, but she was being like really mean to her.
- 17:08SPEAKER_01: She was like, and so Jessel was just kind of like, you know, but like Carol was just like, I know you didn't mean it like that.
- 17:15SPEAKER_01: I just feel like you know, you're being more of a ding bat than being like the C word.
- 17:20SPEAKER_03: And I'm just like and then they just like said it so calm and in a nice way, and I was like, Oh god, that was like really I just feel like Jessel was so stunned that she didn't even know what to do or say.
- 17:37SPEAKER_03: She was just like, huh?
- 17:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and then Carol just kept going.
- 17:41SPEAKER_01: She was just like, do not ever mention the Kennedy curse in front of me ever again.
- 17:45SPEAKER_01: I was like, ooh, yeah, I know.
- 17:47SPEAKER_03: That'd be kind of dumb to mention the Kennedy curse in front of Carol.
- 17:53SPEAKER_01: I just don't think Jessel had I think she's just completely tone-deaf.
- 17:57SPEAKER_01: Like, I just don't think she was picking up at all how uncomfortable that was in front of a person that actually like knew them.
- 18:05SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah, I agree.
- 18:07SPEAKER_03: And then so then we have that little one that goes over without much fanfare, and then Erica decides to invite all the girls to her island.
- 18:16SPEAKER_03: And I liked how Carol goes, Wait, are the husbands going?
- 18:19SPEAKER_03: And they were like, No, this is a girls' trip, and Carol didn't want to be a like a tenth wheel, like she was like, I don't want to be a third wheel on this, like, no hubbies, I'll go.
- 18:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they're just like, Why would you ever say that the husband?
- 18:32SPEAKER_01: I'm feel I feel like if I was going on private island, I would definitely want John to come with me.
- 18:36SPEAKER_03: Right, I know, but if you're going with like all the girlfriends, it I guess it's a gigantic private island.
- 18:44SPEAKER_01: Why can't the husbands go?
- 18:46SPEAKER_01: Because they don't want to bring they don't want to reward their husbands who aren't working with a trip to a private island.
- 18:50SPEAKER_01: Is that what this is?
- 18:52SPEAKER_03: Well, I don't know.
- 18:53SPEAKER_03: Jessel said that she went to the private island with Pav Pop it.
- 18:58SPEAKER_03: What's his name?
- 18:59SPEAKER_01: Oh, I don't know.
- 19:00SPEAKER_01: The food influencer.
- 19:02SPEAKER_03: Yeah, she brought him to the private island a few months before the Seder, so yeah.
- 19:08SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 19:09SPEAKER_03: So I guess they get to go.
- 19:10SPEAKER_03: Maybe more when it's a couples thing.
- 19:13SPEAKER_01: I would yeah, I would much rather go with John than these ladies.
- 19:18SPEAKER_03: Same, same, but at least this season is better than the last one, and it's definitely better than Yosie.
- 19:27SPEAKER_03: Then it does all those random cuts, but I need to know does Haley actually rollerblade everywhere?
- 19:33SPEAKER_03: Because it is amazing.
- 19:35SPEAKER_01: She does.
- 19:36SPEAKER_03: I mean, she must not in the winter, but because her getting the coffee in her rollerblades, yes.
- 19:43SPEAKER_03: I love it.
- 19:43SPEAKER_01: And are those are skates or blades?
- 19:46SPEAKER_01: Is she skate?
- 19:48SPEAKER_01: They're blades.
- 19:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, that's awesome.
- 19:51SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I am obsessed.
- 19:53SPEAKER_03: And we see Carol though, she's part of an off-Broadway group, and she invites all the girls to go to the gala that she's having for this off-Broadway group.
- 20:05SPEAKER_03: And Erica says she can't go because she's been invited to the Devil Wears Prada premiere personally by Ann Hathaway.
- 20:14SPEAKER_01: I love how awkward that was because Carol's like, Well, do you have to go?
- 20:18SPEAKER_01: And she's like, Well, Ann did invite me and whatever she calls her husband Ankh or whatever.
- 20:25SPEAKER_01: I just feel like she was just trying not to say Anne Hathaway on TV because it just sounds like so pretentious, but like it's true.
- 20:31SPEAKER_03: Yeah, exactly.
- 20:33SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 20:34SPEAKER_01: So I was just like, Oh my god, that was so funny.
- 20:36SPEAKER_01: That was really cool.
- 20:37SPEAKER_01: I mean, you have to go to that.
- 20:39SPEAKER_01: Like, how are you gonna say exactly?
- 20:40SPEAKER_03: If Anne Hathaway is like, you should come to the premiere, be like, let me find a dress myself.
- 20:46SPEAKER_03: I would totally know that was I can't believe that you know Anne Hathaway like that, billionaire life.
- 20:53SPEAKER_03: It's crazy.
- 20:54SPEAKER_01: It is crazy, it's completely crazy, but they should still make a donation to the gala.
- 20:59SPEAKER_03: They should, they should definitely make a donation and yeah, support those kids.
- 21:05SPEAKER_03: So then we are with Cy, and she's out her Aunt Sophia, her mom passed.
- 21:15SPEAKER_00: And they were talking about the city, yikes, yikes, yikes, yikes.
- 21:22SPEAKER_00: That's the whole conversation, yeah.
- 21:24SPEAKER_03: Because she's asking Cy about her marriage, and Cy says that she tried to throw out the D word, but it didn't really go over, so then she asked for a separation, and she was like, he just likes the illusion of a family unit, the lifestyle, and a couple other things.
- 21:41SPEAKER_03: She's like, he doesn't really want to be that family man, he just wants the illusion of it.
- 21:47SPEAKER_03: And then we find out that I guess like Cy's mom never liked her husband or something, and her aunt doesn't like her husband.
- 21:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they never felt that he they never said.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: Saw him being affectionate and that like she says when you're in the wrong relationship, it's lonelier than being alone, which is like uh just absolutely right, like 100%.
- 22:10SPEAKER_01: I think that's weird to like never like the fact that they're saying he was never affectionate, because it's like why do you and like size like agreeing?
- 22:21SPEAKER_01: It's like I just don't understand how people marry.
- 22:23SPEAKER_01: Like, you know how you always know somebody who's like has a boyfriend or something that's just like really cold.
- 22:28SPEAKER_01: It's like I just I wouldn't be able to like marry somebody like that.
- 22:33SPEAKER_01: Like, I need I need lots of attention and compliments, like they're just like compliments, I want to hold your hand, like people want you to give me a kiss.
- 22:43SPEAKER_01: Like, yeah, I just I'm like, how did it even get that far if he was like always like this?
- 22:48SPEAKER_01: Like it's just weird.
- 22:49SPEAKER_01: Um it is weird.
- 22:52SPEAKER_01: I have comments about the birthday dinner story.
- 22:55SPEAKER_03: Okay, I want you to say, so anyway, for those of you who haven't watched, she says that she her husband took her out for her birthday and wind her, dined her, they had sex, they had a great time, and then when she looked over her credit card statement, he had used her credit card.
- 23:15SPEAKER_03: And so let me know your comments because I have them too.
- 23:19SPEAKER_01: My comments are one you after sex, you look at bills.
- 23:28SPEAKER_01: Like, why?
- 23:30SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 23:31SPEAKER_01: That was so weird.
- 23:34SPEAKER_01: Second of all, I get so this is separate from how I feel about the fact that he has not been working for a long time.
- 23:41SPEAKER_01: Like, that is wrong, and that should not be going on.
- 23:44SPEAKER_01: However, as far as like your husband paying for like you guys going out and like your credit card is used, like for me, I'm married, I've been married for a long time.
- 23:56SPEAKER_01: Like, we have two separate cards, but they're linked to the same bank account in which our money goes.
- 24:04SPEAKER_01: Both of our both of our checks go.
- 24:07SPEAKER_01: So even when we're out to dinner, like, yeah, John like pulls out his card to pay, but like ultimately, like when his credit card bill gets paid out of our account where we both deposit our paychecks, like we're both paying for that dinner.
- 24:21SPEAKER_01: So the fact that she's so disappointed, like it is kind of like to me, I'm like, yeah, that's not the sexiest thing, but it's like, who does she think was fucking paying for this dinner if he's not working?
- 24:32SPEAKER_01: Like, even if he used his, even if he took his credit card out to pay, she's still like someone's your bank account is paying that bill.
- 24:41SPEAKER_01: So if he's not bringing in the money, then you're paying for the dinner.
- 24:44SPEAKER_03: But that makes the most sense.
- 24:46SPEAKER_01: Like, I know confused.
- 24:48SPEAKER_01: I'm confused by people that are married that are like, we just keep everything separate.
- 24:52SPEAKER_01: It's like, so do you keep your paycheck separate too?
- 24:55SPEAKER_03: I knew a girl, I knew I worked with someone who kept their bank account separate, and when the mortgage was due, or like a bill was due, they like Venmo'd each other.
- 25:06SPEAKER_01: I see that when I go into Venmo, like the little list of like people that yeah, like I just see that I'm not gonna get it.
- 25:16SPEAKER_03: He would just like Venmo his half.
- 25:19SPEAKER_03: And I was like, You guys don't have like a joint account, and she was like, No, and we've been married the same amount of time, like we got married on the same weekend, and this was when I lived, so it's she's also been married 10 years, and I mean now they have kids, so I guess it makes sense.
- 25:34SPEAKER_03: I guess it's working, but Slater and I have had I can understand if you like you put some money away, maybe like on your own, but in the end you're a team, and like someone is paying for something.
- 25:48SPEAKER_03: It's like when we go out to Slater, like you said, Slater may pull out the credit card, but at the end of the month, we're paying the same bill from your same joint account.
- 25:59SPEAKER_01: Like, I think when it's not that way, it kind of then you get to this whole like keeping score thing, which is stupid and unnecessary.
- 26:08SPEAKER_01: I do think you know, like it is good, maybe if you have your own, like we don't to be honest, we don't like separate like savings and investments, but for some women, I feel like for them, maybe it's good to set money aside for themselves and they should be doing that.
- 26:28SPEAKER_01: Um, but that's not what she's saying.
- 26:30SPEAKER_01: She's just like, he's not like taking me out and doing this or that, and it's like he's not working.
- 26:36SPEAKER_01: So, how is he gonna take you out to this lavish dinner?
- 26:40SPEAKER_03: So, is he pulling it out of like his retirement account?
- 26:43SPEAKER_03: Like, is that what you were expecting?
- 26:46SPEAKER_03: Like, I don't know.
- 26:47SPEAKER_01: It's just yeah, she's just skipping over the bigger issue here, which is the fact that this man is not bringing in any money, and yet you guys are still going out again.
- 26:56SPEAKER_01: He's not bringing in any money, and you're super thrilled that he's taking you out to this like very expensive dinner.
- 27:02SPEAKER_01: And it's like, I would not be thrilled by that.
- 27:04SPEAKER_01: Like, if John didn't have a job and he was like, We're gonna go to like we're gonna go out to dinner, and the bill is like$400.
- 27:14SPEAKER_01: I wouldn't be happy with that.
- 27:16SPEAKER_01: I'd be like, the bigger issue is like we need to figure out like household's income and the fact that like this is an issue that you haven't been working for like three years or whatever.
- 27:27SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm just confused with what she thought was happening.
- 27:30SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I don't know either.
- 27:32SPEAKER_03: The whole thing was that she just confuses me.
- 27:36SPEAKER_01: So I don't know.
- 27:37SPEAKER_01: It's just I just feel like her values are like a little off.
- 27:42SPEAKER_01: She said that she thinks he likes the lifestyle, but I think the lifestyle is way more important to her.
- 27:47SPEAKER_01: She's like constantly talking about how important it is for her to like still support this, like, still support the super expensive apartments, still support her kids going to really expensive schools.
- 27:59SPEAKER_01: Like it's and like she was really happy with the fact that he took her out on this really expensive date.
- 28:04SPEAKER_01: And it's like it sounds like you're less concerned about him finding a career and like contributing than like you are with making like a ton of money so you can like keep up with this really expensive lifestyle that like you honestly can't afford right now.
- 28:21SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 28:23SPEAKER_01: It's kind of I don't know, it kind of just like bothers me.
- 28:27SPEAKER_01: I'm not sticking up for him, but I kind of just feel like maybe she could focus more on the marriage aspect and less on the money aspect.
- 28:37SPEAKER_01: Like, let's fix like the underlying issues, yeah, exactly.
- 28:41SPEAKER_03: And then maybe the relationship can fix itself.
- 28:45SPEAKER_03: I I don't know.
- 28:47SPEAKER_01: I mean, either that or they need to get a divorce, and like they both need to downsize their lifestyles, which it doesn't seem like she's something she's like really willing to do.
- 28:57SPEAKER_01: I'm wondering it seems like she's trying to figure out how to divorce him while she can still maintain everything.
- 29:03SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I'm wondering like if they get divorced though and he doesn't have a job, is she worried she's gonna have to pay like alimony or something, and then that's gonna be a she probably is sport, yeah.
- 29:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so um, yeah, and then the story about his mother was so fucked.
- 29:20SPEAKER_03: Oh, I know.
- 29:21SPEAKER_03: Well, wasn't it her mom?
- 29:23SPEAKER_03: Wasn't it size you said her mom or his mom?
- 29:28SPEAKER_01: I the I thought that they were talking about his mom.
- 29:31SPEAKER_01: Was that about her own mother?
- 29:33SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that was her own mom.
- 29:35SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that's how come her aunt knew about it.
- 29:40SPEAKER_03: Yeah, she put her mother in a shelter, yeah, because they put her mom in a shelter because she had been watching the kids.
- 29:49SPEAKER_01: So did you hear so No, I listened to the story and I agree that she should not be living with them because she's got pets and kids, and like that whole scene is appalling.
- 29:59SPEAKER_01: But it's like you can pay$25,000 a month for your rent, but you put your fucking mother who clearly has issues in a shelter, you have nowhere else.
- 30:09SPEAKER_01: They obviously have other family, there's nowhere else this woman can go.
- 30:13SPEAKER_01: You can't pay for some sort of program for her to go in, you put her in a shelter.
- 30:18SPEAKER_03: Mm-hmm.
- 30:19SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that was her mom, and that's why she felt so bad because then her mom died a few months later.
- 30:26SPEAKER_03: That's fucked.
- 30:27SPEAKER_01: If you have if you can't afford like if you are a normal person and you can barely afford like your own bills, I could totally understand that.
- 30:36SPEAKER_01: But it's like you're living the lifestyle that you're living, and I understand you not wanting to live with your mom after something like that, but she there's no other option besides putting her in a shelter.
- 30:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I know that doesn't make any sense to me.
- 30:50SPEAKER_01: That's crazy.
- 30:50SPEAKER_01: That's what I'm saying.
- 30:51SPEAKER_01: I think her values are like not there.
- 30:54SPEAKER_03: Yeah, something's I don't know, maybe she just never got along with her mom, and her mom staying there, I don't know, was like supposed to be helpful, and then she just wore out her welcome.
- 31:08SPEAKER_03: So I don't know.
- 31:09SPEAKER_01: I wouldn't put a family member in a shelter if I could afford$25,000 a month for a fucking apartment.
- 31:16SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah, I know.
- 31:17SPEAKER_01: So that's insane.
- 31:19SPEAKER_01: That's completely insane.
- 31:21SPEAKER_01: I can't believe that she was talking about her own mother.
- 31:23SPEAKER_01: I thought she was talking about his mother.
- 31:25SPEAKER_03: No, and that's how come she was kind of like her fifth, like the fifth kid for her aunt because her childhood was like so rough.
- 31:35SPEAKER_01: That's wild to me.
- 31:37SPEAKER_01: My god, I don't know what did you think about that?
- 31:40SPEAKER_03: I thought it was crazy.
- 31:42SPEAKER_03: Like, that's gotta be it's gotta be so scary to come home to that, and obviously it's not okay to have it around the kids.
- 31:50SPEAKER_03: But when she was like, Oh, we just put her when she went to a shelter, that kind of like was odd to me.
- 31:56SPEAKER_03: Because if you're like, like you said, could they put her in a treatment program?
- 32:01SPEAKER_03: Could they get her into a like try and get her into a treatment program and then a halfway house?
- 32:06SPEAKER_03: Instead, you just put her in a homeless shelter, so yeah, no, that's crazy.
- 32:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah, totally fucking crazy.
- 32:13SPEAKER_01: Wow, and then she was like, and you know, David and I just never talked about it, and it's like, well, why?
- 32:18SPEAKER_03: Like, that's not 100% on him, like no, that should be something that you should be bringing up too, like it's a big thing, and you're and like if your kids saw it and were around it, exactly like they definitely should have talked about it as a family, yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 32:37SPEAKER_01: She's just like, I just don't have a partner that like is supports that, and I'm like, but you didn't talk about it either.
- 32:44SPEAKER_01: You just said you guys just didn't talk about it.
- 32:46SPEAKER_01: It's like, did you try?
- 32:48SPEAKER_01: I mean, maybe she did, I don't know, but just the way that it was described was just very like I felt cold on her part, yeah.
- 32:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I was like, wow, yeah, I did feel horrible for the dog.
- 33:00SPEAKER_01: I was like, WTF.
- 33:02SPEAKER_03: I feel bad for the dog and the cats and everything, and the cats and the kids.
- 33:08SPEAKER_01: The menagerie, yeah, yeah.
- 33:12SPEAKER_03: Then anyway, off that subject, then we go to Jessel, and she has her stylist come over.
- 33:19SPEAKER_03: Her stylist is not good, by the way.
- 33:21SPEAKER_03: I'm not a fan of her style, so I don't think her stylist is a good one.
- 33:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no, I agree.
- 33:27SPEAKER_01: She doesn't have that great of style at all.
- 33:29SPEAKER_01: Her haircut is still fucking unflattering, too.
- 33:31SPEAKER_03: And her it doesn't work.
- 33:34SPEAKER_03: So, anyway, she says that her and her stylist overhauled their clock closet and she has a bunch of stuff to donate, she doesn't know where to donate it.
- 33:43SPEAKER_03: Her husband says, just bring into the salvation army, and she goes, That you can do that.
- 33:48SPEAKER_03: I don't, I don't do that.
- 33:49SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, This woman would be my absolute like arch nemesis.
- 33:54SPEAKER_01: Like, first of all, you're so fucking classy, and you're throwing a bunch of your clothes and that you want to donate into trash bags and just like tossing them in the corner.
- 34:03SPEAKER_01: It's like you could do a little bit nicer to drop the donated.
- 34:07SPEAKER_01: I know some people do that, like us normal peasants maybe do that, but it's like she's so like high-end, and it's like, so you're putting a bunch of your high-end clothes in trash bags, like there's gotta be designer stuff in there.
- 34:20SPEAKER_01: That's like insane to me.
- 34:22SPEAKER_01: Like, if I'm good, if I'm trying to find a place to donate like very nice clothes somewhere, I'm not like stuffing them in a trash bag and putting them.
- 34:30SPEAKER_01: You need to deliver those in good condition.
- 34:33SPEAKER_03: I normally just fold my stuff up and put it in a reusable bag.
- 34:37SPEAKER_03: That tends to be what I do, yeah.
- 34:40SPEAKER_01: Which is nicer than how she had them.
- 34:43SPEAKER_01: I'm not gonna put like a$500 jumpsuit stuffed into a trash bag to go donate.
- 34:48SPEAKER_01: If I was gonna donate it, I would have it in something like presentable.
- 34:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah, if you're I'm sorry, but like if you're that stuck up, like you should be trying a little bit harder.
- 34:58SPEAKER_01: And then she's acting like she's too good to drop the donations off at the Salvation Army, and it's like like we were talking about earlier, it's like there are celebrities that like go to shelters and do charity work and do things at soup kitchens and churches and all these places, and like you cannot go to the salvation army to drop things off.
- 35:17SPEAKER_01: Like, why the fuck are you too good for that?
- 35:19SPEAKER_01: She's like, Oh, that'll be that can be a task for you.
- 35:22SPEAKER_01: And I was like, You are such a fucking asshole, like you really are.
- 35:27SPEAKER_03: And then she's annoyed that he uh is like trying to be an influencer for the food thing and he doesn't have a job, yeah, but she was like, He left his corporate career, and now it's just me.
- 35:40SPEAKER_03: If it if you're the sole person and you're that worried about money, why are you having a stylist over?
- 35:46SPEAKER_03: So unnecessary, like so unnecessary, yes, it's just a very weird dynamic, and like I don't know, and he doesn't even want to talk to her about it, really.
- 36:01SPEAKER_03: I think he hates her, huh?
- 36:03SPEAKER_01: I think he hates her.
- 36:05SPEAKER_01: I mean, I don't know how anyone could like her, so I like the idea of the food channel.
- 36:13SPEAKER_01: I would if John wanted to pursue this, I would think it was really cute.
- 36:17SPEAKER_01: I do understand the stress of leaving a I don't know what the situation was with his exit.
- 36:25SPEAKER_01: Obviously, they have lots of money, so maybe he maybe it was some sort of corporate exit that he got a lot of money for or something.
- 36:32SPEAKER_01: I mean, you can get like if he left of his own accord, maybe not, but if it was some sort of severance, he could have gotten like a really nice package or something.
- 36:39SPEAKER_01: I don't know like what he's what they're living off of, but yeah, I mean it is scary to be like, you know, my husband was making 500,000 a year and now he wants to be a food influencer.
- 36:52SPEAKER_01: Like, what's the plan?
- 36:54SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it yeah, no, it's it's that's a good point, but yeah, I don't know.
- 37:01SPEAKER_03: I feel like they're they're just fine, and I feel like at least he's involved enough to be like, if it's not working out, then he has he can find something else.
- 37:10SPEAKER_01: I would he doesn't seem like an idiot to me.
- 37:12SPEAKER_01: I would think he has some sort of plan, yeah.
- 37:15SPEAKER_01: Like he knows that he needs income.
- 37:18SPEAKER_01: So he must have gotten some sort of package, I assume.
- 37:21SPEAKER_03: We also know that's very hard to make it in social media that's when you try to put ours together for this.
- 37:28SPEAKER_01: Well, he has to step up because he's connected to the biggest bitch on the real housewives of New York, so exactly, exactly.
- 37:37SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 37:38SPEAKER_03: So then from there, we go to Haley and she's with her mom, and they are bird watching, like her therapist said she should try it too.
- 37:48SPEAKER_01: These faces, Zoe.
- 37:50SPEAKER_03: Oh, what happened to her mom?
- 37:53SPEAKER_01: They both are in rough, rough shape.
- 37:57SPEAKER_01: I mean, Haley and her confessionals, because she probably has like professional hair makeup done in the prof in the confessionals, you can't see it that much, but whatever she has done to her face has aged her like a thousand years, and Haley is not old.
- 38:14SPEAKER_03: No, she's a year, she's 39, which is like crazy because in my head, she's as old as Carol.
- 38:24SPEAKER_01: That's what she looks like, and I'm like, what is that?
- 38:27SPEAKER_01: Like, is that is that just from filler or why she's she's she's got the really big cheekbones lifted that could be filler, but then she also has the super hollow, and I'm like, Yeah, like when they remove that that the boot, yeah, and I'm just like, what what did you do here?
- 38:49SPEAKER_01: Because you look like a thousand years old, and her mother is like her face is like misshapen.
- 38:55SPEAKER_01: Where I'm like, is that from filler then?
- 38:58SPEAKER_03: Because if she got a face, like her mom is also so white, she's so white, and like aren't they a plastic surgery family?
- 39:08SPEAKER_03: Yeah, her dad is a plastic surgeon.
- 39:11SPEAKER_01: I'm just thinking, like, Heather DeBro looks fantastic and not overdone, and she's married to a plastic surgeon, she doesn't look overdone like at all.
- 39:21SPEAKER_01: No, he looks great, she looks great.
- 39:23SPEAKER_01: So I'm like, what and her mom looks great.
- 39:26SPEAKER_01: So I'm just confused.
- 39:27SPEAKER_01: I mean, I if I had that kind of I mean, they've always had money, they come from money.
- 39:32SPEAKER_01: Her dad's a plastic surgeon.
- 39:33SPEAKER_01: It's like, okay, then go get the Chris Jenner facelift.
- 39:36SPEAKER_01: That's what I would do, right?
- 39:38SPEAKER_03: I know, I know.
- 39:40SPEAKER_01: Um I'm just confused of what that's why I don't think it's a facelift.
- 39:44SPEAKER_01: It's got that's gotta be filler.
- 39:46SPEAKER_01: They're bulge like completely frozen, it's like really it's just like yeah, when you just see it in natural light, like when they're outside and stuff like that, and they're not wearing like professional makeup, you can really tell how bad it looks.
- 40:02SPEAKER_03: It's like oh my god, it's odd, but we find out a lot about Haley and her mom's relationship.
- 40:09SPEAKER_03: So we've heard she we know that she talks to her mom all the time, and she loves her mom, but her mom also finds a way to make everything about her because then she asks Haley how therapy is going, and she starts crying about the tabloids and like having her 20 is like just like decimated because of the John Gosselin thing, and she's still just trying to work through it.
- 40:36SPEAKER_03: And her mom was like, Oh my god, it was so hard for me, too.
- 40:39SPEAKER_03: It was so hard, okay, and she was like I was like, What the fuck?
- 40:45SPEAKER_03: She's like, What do you mean so hard for you too?
- 40:48SPEAKER_03: Like, I was the one lit, like this was my life on the tabloids, and like, yeah, but I once had to lock myself in the bathroom be and people were asking me if I was your mom, and she was like, I I was so taken aback by her talking about how traumatizing it was for her and not Haley.
- 41:06SPEAKER_01: I was like, really?
- 41:08SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it was I was like, Okie dokie then.
- 41:11SPEAKER_03: And Haley is like, I don't know.
- 41:14SPEAKER_03: Okay, like my mom was never there for me during it, and so to have her talk about it like this was a disaster for her life too is just so awkward.
- 41:24SPEAKER_01: Maybe dumb question, but like, okay, so she's 39, so she's five.
- 41:30SPEAKER_01: No, she's four years older than me, so she was like what 22, so I was 18.
- 41:35SPEAKER_01: I don't remember John Gosselin being that famous.
- 41:38SPEAKER_01: Uh is it just me?
- 41:40SPEAKER_01: I remember John and Kate.
- 41:42SPEAKER_01: He was famous, they were they were that famous.
- 41:45SPEAKER_01: They were I never watched the show, so maybe that's why.
- 41:48SPEAKER_01: Was he really that big of a deal that this was like such big news?
- 41:52SPEAKER_03: No, they were.
- 41:53SPEAKER_03: They it was like a huge deal, and I remember it being all over the tabloids.
- 41:58SPEAKER_03: Like, I don't remember like the cheating thing, but I definitely remember because they had eight kids and it was all on TV.
- 42:04SPEAKER_03: Yeah, no, I never watched the show.
- 42:07SPEAKER_03: Okay, like how many, how many seasons?
- 42:10SPEAKER_03: Hold on, let's look this up.
- 42:12SPEAKER_01: Is he still famous now?
- 42:14SPEAKER_01: Like, where is this guy now?
- 42:16SPEAKER_03: I feel like I hear about him every once in a while, but I don't know if it's because of the show.
- 42:23SPEAKER_03: But I feel like every once in a while he randomly pops up.
- 42:26SPEAKER_03: The kids are grown up now, aren't they?
- 42:29SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and one of the kids just wrote a book about how much Kate sucked and how horrible like growing up with them was.
- 42:37SPEAKER_03: So John and Kate plus eight was five seasons long, and then there was then they got a divorce, and then it was Kate plus eight, and it ran for six more seasons.
- 42:49SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay.
- 42:50SPEAKER_03: It ran from 2007 to 2017.
- 42:54SPEAKER_03: Okay, wow.
- 42:55SPEAKER_03: There's 11 seasons.
- 42:57SPEAKER_01: Okay, so it's just me that's I'm super interested in these people.
- 43:00SPEAKER_01: Interesting.
- 43:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I I do think there's something weird with the mother and this story.
- 43:06SPEAKER_01: I think like I did get this weird impression because Haley's sort of alluding to, I mean, she's not alluding to it.
- 43:16SPEAKER_01: I mean, she says that her mom was the one that pushed this relationship, which I do personally find weird.
- 43:24SPEAKER_03: Like, yeah, it's hard to do it.
- 43:30SPEAKER_01: I think she was trying to get them famous.
- 43:32SPEAKER_01: I think she was trying to get Haley famous and the family famous because it is weird, like, not like it's not weird to me that like because they he was separated and the story that Haley told made sense.
- 43:47SPEAKER_01: Like, they just weren't out in public with it yet.
- 43:49SPEAKER_01: And I don't think Kate's denied that, but like I just find it weird that she would want her daughter.
- 44:00SPEAKER_01: To date somebody who is 10 years older with eight kids, unless she was trying to get her on TV or something.
- 44:06SPEAKER_03: That makes a lot of sense.
- 44:08SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 44:08SPEAKER_03: I didn't think of it that way, but that would make sense.
- 44:11SPEAKER_01: Because she just has said, like, well, my mom was really pushing this relationship.
- 44:15SPEAKER_01: And it's like, why would your mom want that for you, knowing that it would be like this big scandal?
- 44:21SPEAKER_01: I mean, because she knew she was aware of the whole situation, how like he wasn't out with the separation yet.
- 44:27SPEAKER_01: And also, it's like, why do you want your young daughter dating some guy with eight kids?
- 44:31SPEAKER_01: Like, they already have money.
- 44:32SPEAKER_01: That's why they're already rich.
- 44:35SPEAKER_03: That's why I was saying, like, the vicarious thing might be a thing too, because her mom was like super adamant about them dating, right?
- 44:43SPEAKER_03: And her mom was like BFF, so maybe there was like a fame thing, and then like, oh, I want my daughter to do this.
- 44:51SPEAKER_03: Because then after she broke up with John, remember her mom basically like pushed her into like a marriage with Reuben to kind of like fulfill roles.
- 45:01SPEAKER_03: So I'm wondering, like, if her mom just and I mean Reuben's family is very wealthy, and so I'm wondering if her mom busy aspirations of being higher up, and if this happens and if we get famous, but maybe she also just liked John because she was best friends with John.
- 45:20SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 45:20SPEAKER_03: It's very weird.
- 45:21SPEAKER_03: I think the whole situation is just bizarre, and it sounds like her mom has a lot a lot of life, and maybe there's definitely yeah, it seems like there's something a little dark there.
- 45:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah, awkward.
- 45:40SPEAKER_01: Very strange.
- 45:41SPEAKER_01: Yeah, very strange.
- 45:43SPEAKER_01: But then we get to go see Daisy and Martha in the wild.
- 45:46SPEAKER_03: Oh my god, I thought this was so funny.
- 45:49SPEAKER_03: So the scene opens up and it's Martha.
- 45:51SPEAKER_03: I can't remember the other woman's name, and I didn't write it down, but it's Martha and her friend, and they're waiting on Daisy, and a little kid walks by, and Martha just goes, tries to call the kid like over like a dog, like and her friend's like, What are you doing?
- 46:08SPEAKER_03: She was like, The kid looks thirsty here.
- 46:11SPEAKER_03: Have some ice water, and the mom's like, Go take ice water from Martha Stewart.
- 46:15SPEAKER_01: Like, I know, and he's like, and then Martha calls him a girl, and the mom's like, Oh, it's a boy, and he and she's like, Oh, he's a boy.
- 46:24SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and then you're like, Oh my god, that was so weird.
- 46:29SPEAKER_03: It was so weird, but I kind of loved it.
- 46:32SPEAKER_03: But now I understand why Martha and her daughter don't have the best of relationship.
- 46:37SPEAKER_03: Anyway, so then Daisy is late to lunch because she couldn't find parking because Dale's on vacation, and then Martha and her friend tell Daisy the story about the kid because they don't want Daisy to drink the water that they gave the kid, and they start going over Martha's traveling schedule and when she's gonna need Daisy around, and Daisy is like, This is a lot of fucking time.
- 47:03SPEAKER_03: Like she needs her like every day for the month of May.
- 47:07SPEAKER_03: It's insanity, and then she's like, But I like it because I get to live first class when I travel with Martha, and then this was oh my god, so out of touch, but so funny at the same time.
- 47:19SPEAKER_03: They start talking about how her son is in soccer and she likes being a soccer mom and she enjoys going because she loves that aspect of her life, it's like a totally different daisy, and then she talks about wanting to get five FIFA tickets for the playoffs or whatever for her son, so they can go.
- 47:40SPEAKER_03: And she's telling Martha, like, how do regular people afford like these insane tickets?
- 47:46SPEAKER_03: And Martha Stewart just goes, they don't.
- 47:48SPEAKER_01: I know she is gonna say that.
- 47:50SPEAKER_01: I know, but it's true though.
- 47:51SPEAKER_01: Like you don't, you don't go.
- 47:54SPEAKER_01: I mean, you don't spend$120,000 on two tickets to FIFA.
- 48:00SPEAKER_03: No, but you don't, it's crazy.
- 48:02SPEAKER_03: And then she's like, I have tickets, and then it turns out Erica gave them the tickets, gave her the tickets, and she was like, Oh, okay.
- 48:11SPEAKER_01: I mean, I think Daisy's life, I would there's a huge part of me that would like love this lifestyle as far as like all the stuff she gets to do with Martha, but I do think that it's probably much better for somebody who's just totally single, yeah.
- 48:26SPEAKER_01: That's hard to not only be married, but then but like have kids, and someone just being like, Oh, I need you for the like entire months, like that's a lot, yeah.
- 48:37SPEAKER_03: And then she tricks, she's like, Oh, I have to have a week off.
- 48:41SPEAKER_03: Like, I'll be gone that week.
- 48:43SPEAKER_03: And Martha's like low-key annoyed that she's gonna be gone.
- 48:48SPEAKER_03: And like well, Daisy will be back eventually, it's only a week, but you can tell how much she's just like, Oh man, but yeah, it's definitely easier when you would be a single versus like trying to balance soccer games with your son and like having a date night with your husband, especially if he's going late and like you're gone all the time.
- 49:10SPEAKER_03: It's gotta be a lot on your plate.
- 49:12SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so that was an interesting glimpse.
- 49:14SPEAKER_01: I love seeing Martha Stewart on the show.
- 49:17SPEAKER_01: Same, same, same, same.
- 49:21SPEAKER_01: But then we go to the gala where we end things.
- 49:25SPEAKER_01: Okay, before we talk about like the actual plot, Jennifer Tilley's dress is the best dress ever.
- 49:34SPEAKER_03: Yes, it is amazing.
- 49:36SPEAKER_01: I love Jennifer Tilly so much.
- 49:39SPEAKER_03: I was like, we get a Jennifer Tilly cameo.
- 49:42SPEAKER_03: This is amazing.
- 49:44SPEAKER_01: I like her better than Martha Stewart.
- 49:46SPEAKER_01: I think her and Kathy Hilton on Beverly Hills as friends of they're the best cast members that show has ever casted.
- 49:54SPEAKER_01: They're so funny.
- 49:55SPEAKER_01: And Jennifer Tilly has the best clothes, like the best clothes.
- 50:00SPEAKER_03: I love Jennifer Tilly's dress of herself.
- 50:03SPEAKER_03: Did you see that?
- 50:04SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 50:05SPEAKER_01: Or that she did another reunion with this like yellow gold, like old Hollywood dress.
- 50:11SPEAKER_01: It was just, I love how she's just very open that like everything that she has is like like I know she's an actress, but she's like, I am like super wealthy because I was like married to the guy that created the Simpsons, and she's just like, I thank him every day.
- 50:27SPEAKER_01: I just love her so much, and she's just very like she's really relatable, even though she's also like so just like well off, just like living her life.
- 50:37SPEAKER_01: She's so funny, yeah.
- 50:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah, like no, that dress was awesome.
- 50:41SPEAKER_01: I just love that.
- 50:42SPEAKER_01: What is that called?
- 50:43SPEAKER_01: Like the black the the jewels are black, but they're also like iridescent, kind of with all the different green bow.
- 50:51SPEAKER_01: It was so cool, it was so cool.
- 50:53SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I loved it back to the actual drama the girls being annoying.
- 50:59SPEAKER_01: I was like, is Jennifer Tilly gonna be on the rest of this episode?
- 51:01SPEAKER_01: But she just came on for like two.
- 51:03SPEAKER_03: No, she was there for about 14 seconds, and it was kind of a moment.
- 51:06SPEAKER_03: I wanted more.
- 51:07SPEAKER_03: I was gonna say that she should be at their table, like that would have been great.
- 51:12SPEAKER_01: But she might have stayed longer if Haley wasn't like sexually assaulting her.
- 51:16SPEAKER_03: Yeah, can I play your banjos if she meant bongos?
- 51:20SPEAKER_01: She not only was she didn't just say that though, she was like doing the motion, she was like, and I was just like, Oh my god, what are you doing?
- 51:28SPEAKER_03: Yeah, Haley was definitely, definitely stoned out of her mind at the gala.
- 51:33SPEAKER_03: She was just kind of like speechless at some of the times when she's talking to Aaron, and you're like, What are you doing?
- 51:41SPEAKER_01: It just seems like she lives a lot of her life that way, and I just don't know how you do that.
- 51:46SPEAKER_03: I don't know either.
- 51:47SPEAKER_03: And to be like completely just like, ugh, like it's just I don't know.
- 51:52SPEAKER_03: So she shows up.
- 51:54SPEAKER_03: I liked, I actually liked Jessel's dress.
- 51:58SPEAKER_03: Um it was a really pretty yellow one that was like one shoulder.
- 52:02SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah.
- 52:03SPEAKER_03: She makes a comment that was an Indian designer, and it was really pretty.
- 52:06SPEAKER_03: I liked it a lot.
- 52:07SPEAKER_03: Anyway, Aaron comes in and Haley tries to ignore, and then she can't be ignored.
- 52:12SPEAKER_03: And Aaron is like, you can't ignore me, like you should at least say hi to me or something.
- 52:16SPEAKER_03: And Haley just kind of stands there like a stick, just like a deer in the headlights, and they move to the table, and Haley makes a joke that she's gonna raise Aaron's hand for the$10,000 for during the auction.
- 52:32SPEAKER_03: And anyways, they say that's a bad seating because then the two of them, Haley and Aaron, just argue the whole time more about the jam, more about what was said to Haley about the tabloids, and Carol is like, you guys need to shut up, like you need to be quiet.
- 52:50SPEAKER_03: Like, you need you can rehash this after the auction, and we can chit chat, but like for the auction, can you please be quiet?
- 52:59SPEAKER_01: Yeah, like they're like well, another thing too is like they start out like whisper fighting, but then they just start talking at like normal voice level, and the auction is like still happening.
- 53:11SPEAKER_01: It's like you need to at least continue to whisper if you're gonna have this conversation, or like go out into the lobby or something, yeah.
- 53:19SPEAKER_01: Because it was just so cringy, because then it's like Aaron just starts talking in like a normal voice, and I'm like, this is so embarrassing.
- 53:25SPEAKER_01: Like the lights are off, and everybody's like being quiet while the auctioneer's talking, and it was the worst part was when that random woman turned around and was like, You guys are being so disrespectful.
- 53:36SPEAKER_01: I was like, Oh my god, this is so humiliating.
- 53:38SPEAKER_03: Yeah, like oh my god, it was so awkward.
- 53:41SPEAKER_03: If another table yells at you and it's not just Carol, like it's embarrassing, shut up.
- 53:46SPEAKER_03: Like you're in an important event that is like obviously like they want, like, you know what I mean?
- 53:52SPEAKER_03: Just be quiet for five seconds, but no, they have to have a fight.
- 53:55SPEAKER_03: Then somehow they make up and they say that everything will be okay and it'll work out.
- 54:00SPEAKER_01: It's a really unnecessary fight.
- 54:01SPEAKER_01: Like, I don't think they should be fighting anymore.
- 54:03SPEAKER_01: Like, again, it just was very like tit for tat.
- 54:06SPEAKER_01: I'm like, let's just like there's nothing to carry forward with this, yeah.
- 54:12SPEAKER_03: Yeah, like we'll get over to find each other again, and then it like ends, huh?
- 54:17SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I found it off-putting that like Carol was the only one that like raised her paddle too.
- 54:25SPEAKER_01: I was like, again with Jessa, like, I'm so classy, I'm not participating in the fight.
- 54:29SPEAKER_01: This is so embarrassing.
- 54:30SPEAKER_01: And it's like, you didn't make a donation.
- 54:33SPEAKER_01: No, exactly.
- 54:34SPEAKER_01: Like, you just she had her, she kept, she's like, Oh my god, they shouldn't be doing this, but she wasn't even looking at the auctioneer the whole time.
- 54:41SPEAKER_01: She was like seated the other way eating, and I'm like, uh you just are like the worst.
- 54:47SPEAKER_03: I know.
- 54:48SPEAKER_03: I'm hoping that maybe there was like a way to make a donation.
- 54:51SPEAKER_03: If you didn't buy anything at the auction, they all made donations.
- 54:54SPEAKER_03: That's okay, or like you had to make a sizable donation to get a ticket, huh?
- 54:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah, like I would hope so because I was just kind of like, Oh, that's a little cringe roo.
- 55:04SPEAKER_01: Um yeah, I do, I will say though, Erin is bothering me a lot less, and Jessel is bothering me a lot more.
- 55:13SPEAKER_01: Because, like, at least with Erin, like she I do appreciate that she does call you out directly, like in the moment, instead of making these like snarky sad comments.
- 55:25SPEAKER_01: I did think like when Haley, when she got there and Haley just ignored her, I did kind of like that Aaron was just like, hey, like what's going on?
- 55:32SPEAKER_01: Like, are you still you're just gonna like start ignoring me now?
- 55:35SPEAKER_01: Like, you know what I mean?
- 55:36SPEAKER_01: It's like at least she's doing that, then like whispering about because like the girls were just like whispering about Jessel and then whispering about Erin at the table where it's like people can still hear you and you're acting like they can't hear you, and it's like obvious you're just talking about them.
- 55:53SPEAKER_01: It's like at least she says something directly to you, like in the moment.
- 55:59SPEAKER_01: I feel like Jessel's like a lot worse.
- 56:02SPEAKER_01: I I hated Jessel this episode, and I just got like a really bad impression of Sai.
- 56:07SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I know, I agree, and I don't think I like Erin, but I'm with you.
- 56:12SPEAKER_03: At least she calls it out when it's happening, and she doesn't have like stupid comebacks.
- 56:18SPEAKER_01: Like, I forgot, I forgot you bootleg Houdini, like I know she said like three things that made absolutely like no sense.
- 56:30SPEAKER_03: Bootleg Houdini, a one-man Ponzi scheme, and I oh that makes sense.
- 56:36SPEAKER_03: There was the one you project more than something, a movie, I don't know, project more than a theater or something, something that didn't make use.
- 56:50SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 56:51SPEAKER_01: She should try to come up with a tagline for her husband's food influencer channel.
- 56:57SPEAKER_03: Uh, yes, put those skills to use, yeah.
- 57:00SPEAKER_03: Put those skills to juice to use exactly like she said, she does do marketing or something, so work on it.
- 57:07SPEAKER_01: She does marketing, and that those were her lines that she came up with.
- 57:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yep.
- 57:13SPEAKER_03: Yep, she mentioned it during her closet, huh?
- 57:16SPEAKER_01: Does she work at like an actual company?
- 57:18SPEAKER_01: Does she have like a job?
- 57:20SPEAKER_03: Yeah, she has a job.
- 57:22SPEAKER_03: I don't know what she does.
- 57:23SPEAKER_03: I that's my assumption.
- 57:26SPEAKER_03: Oh no.
- 57:27SPEAKER_03: Interesting.
- 57:28SPEAKER_03: That was this episode.
- 57:30SPEAKER_03: I liked it better than the last episode.
- 57:32SPEAKER_03: There was a long time.
- 57:34SPEAKER_03: It was fine.
- 57:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no, this was good.
- 57:36SPEAKER_01: This was a good one.
- 57:37SPEAKER_01: It's much better than what we're about to recap.
- 57:39SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 57:40SPEAKER_03: So, anyway, thank you for listening to us recap New York.
- 57:44SPEAKER_03: We appreciate it.
