- 2:37Speaker 6: On Wednesday it was Diljito Coachella. Today, I want to
- 2:41Speaker 6: talk about a different kind of stage, the comedy stage,
- 2:45Speaker 6: because here's something that does not get talked about enough.
- 2:50Speaker 6: South Asians are really, really funny, and the rest of

- 5:45Speaker 6: It's the fourth song from his Chapter four EP that
- 5:48Speaker 6: he just released last Friday. It's shub. The song is
- 5:52Speaker 6: called broken and we played the other three songs Monday,
- 5:55Speaker 6: Tuesday and Wednesday. There it is for you grade EP.
- 6:00Speaker 6: I think the song Bounce is probably my favorite of
- 6:03Speaker 6: the four. But see what the public says. This one's
- 6:07Speaker 6: got a nodula.
- 6:09Speaker 8: Carlos Son.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Aur lok me.
- 6:16Speaker 8: Matt so.
- 6:26Speaker 13: Ya ya are holiday yah are holiday?
- 6:45Speaker 14: So there they are then the holiday to n there
- 7:08Speaker 14: we are then the holiday and it's only to Nina.
- 7:32Speaker 14: Come bodies and Na on the pach, the Honda, the
- 7:40Speaker 14: General Arena, Garla.
- 7:46Speaker 13: Holaday where they are.
- 7:50Speaker 1: The holiday to.
- 7:55Speaker 2: There they are then a holiday.
- 8:31Speaker 6: This Making Memories ep was a great one, it really was.
- 8:34Speaker 6: We had Ikey sing on the show and he talked
- 8:38Speaker 6: about this being the greatest work that he had done
- 8:40Speaker 6: so far, and I think is still the case. It's
- 8:43Speaker 6: a great ep. It's aging so well. Making Memories got
- 8:47Speaker 6: a nod. That song called Softly going from one classic
- 8:52Speaker 6: to another. The song is called insane.
- 8:57Speaker 12: And his Colob the oar Umar the Holy Head your tone,
- 9:05Speaker 12: but Emmon day Parkling Colover the but Umar the Holy.
- 9:17Speaker 15: And no natural league, Jona Hallow Leak, Jona sort to
- 9:22Speaker 15: that honey even pot leak or Johnny Harry Ferdy along
- 9:32Speaker 15: with your little John and.

- 10:00Speaker 1: the Garden the little Journy Jory I said, no look
- 10:11Speaker 1: at them.
- 10:17Speaker 10: Sorry Glama diaml the Holy today and sorry Glama dimad
- 10:29Speaker 10: laid the Holy to them.
- 10:36Speaker 16: Mary cockylically carry Majockey Ray Love Perpe, Jory.
- 10:48Speaker 13: Bars up Ama cardenal Berday.
- 10:54Speaker 17: Monday Park Sorry, Tanama Ta day Lay, How He's Sorry,
- 11:06Speaker 17: the Lamada Umar, the Holy.
- 11:15Speaker 10: Sorry, the load Laid Holiday.
- 11:24Speaker 12: Sorry, Glover, Divarr Umar, the Holly Hornerra.
- 11:39Speaker 6: That's a p delon. The song is called insane. No
- 11:46Speaker 6: talking about comedians here as we are today. Of the
- 11:50Speaker 6: most radical thing that Zakar Khan ever did was not
- 11:53Speaker 6: sell out Madison Square Garden. The most radical thing he
- 11:56Speaker 6: ever did was do in India. And he didn't translate
- 11:59Speaker 6: himself with the world. He made the world come to him.
- 12:02Speaker 6: You know, if that sounds familiar, That's exactly what Dilji
- 12:04Speaker 6: did at Coachella, and that's exactly what Asha Bosley did
- 12:08Speaker 6: for sixty years. The language was never the barrier, you
- 12:12Speaker 6: know what I mean. It was just all about them
- 12:14Speaker 6: and who they were as artists. So always something to remember. Now,
- 12:18Speaker 6: let's bring in doctor Roy to the show. What's up
- 12:20Speaker 6: Doctor Roy?
- 12:21Speaker 18: Hey guys, this is doctor Boy with Today's word on
- 12:23Speaker 18: the Avenue in Film and TV News. In a recent interview,
- 12:27Speaker 18: filmmaker Farakhan revealed that Shara Khan had been a long
- 12:31Speaker 18: term fan of the singer King and even introduced her
- 12:34Speaker 18: to his music. The Best continues as his track with
- 12:37Speaker 18: Nick shonas Monmejan is still taking the chartbusters by storm.
- 12:43Speaker 18: In media news, Semi Rhna's special Still Alive has now
- 12:46Speaker 18: crossed forty four million views on YouTube since its release.
- 12:50Speaker 18: Blending humor with deeply personal storytelling, Ranna reflects on the
- 12:54Speaker 18: Kushmdia Bunded Exodus and his recent controversies with this show,
- 12:57Speaker 18: India Got Latent, which is now coming back for season two,
- 13:01Speaker 18: and eventineers at the Western Qualifiers of Red Bull Dancer
- 13:05Speaker 18: Style in Las Vegas, Hareni Nila Kandan brought Part Not
- 13:09Speaker 18: Damn to a freestyle street dominated arena without changing its essence.
- 13:13Speaker 18: Her performance wasn't just about fusion, but about assertion, proving
- 13:16Speaker 18: that classical Indian forms don't need reinvention, just a new
- 13:20Speaker 18: lens to be truly seen. That's it for today's Word
- 13:23Speaker 18: on the Avenue.
- 13:24Speaker 6: Until next time, Thank you, doctor Roy, Thank you so
- 13:27Speaker 6: much for that. We've got a big episode for you

- 23:01Speaker 28: What's up, buddy?
- 23:02Speaker 14: How are you you?
- 23:02Speaker 28: Punjumpy?
- 23:03Speaker 6: I am brother? Are we doing this in Punjumbia?
- 23:05Speaker 8: What? Well?
- 23:05Speaker 29: By the way you said my name, Okay, well, I
- 23:07Speaker 29: mean I'm not Fudumby, but I can tell you're Punjumbi.
- 23:10Speaker 7: By the way you said my name, I know, my man.
- 23:12Speaker 6: Some certain words just come out of our mouths a
- 23:14Speaker 6: certain way, you know.
- 23:15Speaker 29: Yeah, every everybody else is va gosh everything dumb?
- 23:20Speaker 6: You know that's that's a really interesting observation the cosh. Well, listen, brother,
- 23:27Speaker 6: I know you're getting ready for the big concert going
- 23:29Speaker 6: on this weekend, this Saturday at the Radio City Music Hall. Listen?
- 23:34Speaker 6: Are you ready for this? Are you terrified? What's the deal?
- 23:37Speaker 28: Oh? So much stress, dude, so much stress. I feel
- 23:40Speaker 28: good about so you are.
- 23:41Speaker 29: Comedians work on their their set like for a long time,
- 23:44Speaker 29: especially before you do a high stake show and a
- 23:46Speaker 29: bigger market. So I feel pretty good about the set,
- 23:49Speaker 29: very good, I think great. But pressure of selling six
- 23:52Speaker 29: thousand tickets so like I think a week ago, I
- 23:55Speaker 29: was at like thirty five hundred, which you could.
- 23:57Speaker 28: Get the great number of great sell anyway's great.
- 24:00Speaker 29: If you walk into a place at seat six thousand
- 24:02Speaker 29: and there's only thirty five hundred people there, you're like, Wow,
- 24:05Speaker 29: this guy's a loser.
- 24:06Speaker 28: This place is empty.
- 24:07Speaker 29: So where we do sale? Indians do everything late, so
- 24:11Speaker 29: they're buying the tickets plate obviously the sale they're picking up,
- 24:13Speaker 29: but there's still it's just a lot of stress. Why
- 24:15Speaker 29: would Indians do anything without making exactly exactly.
- 24:18Speaker 28: But you know what, they'll go.
- 24:19Speaker 6: There'll be a line outside the door, around the corner.
- 24:21Speaker 6: You just wait, you'll see that.
- 24:22Speaker 28: I'm hoping for it. Thank you for thank you.
- 24:25Speaker 6: Gosh, your crowd work is just absolutely legendary.
- 24:28Speaker 28: Oh thank you.
- 24:29Speaker 6: And I love the way that you do it. It's
- 24:31Speaker 6: not a very easy thing to do, but you do
- 24:33Speaker 6: it so well. You know, And I'll tell you something,
- 24:37Speaker 6: you know, how do you do that? How do you
- 24:39Speaker 6: prepare yourself the audience? How do you develop a safe
- 24:43Speaker 6: space with them? Because what you do, man, it's it's
- 24:46Speaker 6: not easy. It's it's it's kind of like a balancing
- 24:48Speaker 6: act a little bit, you know what I mean.
- 24:49Speaker 7: I've been doing this.
- 24:50Speaker 29: I'm forty one, forty two because I've been doing comedy
- 24:53Speaker 29: like eighteen nineteen years. So you learn throughout the failure
- 24:56Speaker 29: what you can get away with them when you can't
- 24:57Speaker 29: get away with it. I'll also make an announcement at
- 25:00Speaker 29: the beginning of every show, and it's an honest thing.
- 25:02Speaker 28: I don't I say, I don't want.
- 25:04Speaker 29: People to like walk away feeling disrespected or hurt or whatever.
- 25:07Speaker 29: So if I go too far, or if you just
- 25:10Speaker 29: don't want to be talked to, give me like, I'll
- 25:12Speaker 29: give them a motion, like a cut it out motion,
- 25:14Speaker 29: and then I'll just move on.
- 25:15Speaker 28: Yeah, And then at some point I was like, that's
- 25:17Speaker 28: my honest thing.
- 25:18Speaker 29: I don't want people to walk out feeling bad about themselves,
- 25:20Speaker 29: So why don't I just say it? So I think
- 25:22Speaker 29: that helps me get away with more, but then also
- 25:25Speaker 29: decently learn through again nineteen years of doing this, how
- 25:28Speaker 29: to stolpen things, how to word things where you're still
- 25:30Speaker 29: kind of sharp but not too sharp.
- 25:32Speaker 6: Right right? Oh gosh, I got a question for you, Yes, sir,
- 25:37Speaker 6: how's the personal life? With all that went down? My man,
- 25:41Speaker 6: I've been one to ask you how's married life?
- 25:43Speaker 28: I mean, look, that was not fun.
- 25:45Speaker 29: Obviously none of it was true, and I think people
- 25:49Speaker 29: it was more fun for them to believe the lies
- 25:51Speaker 29: than to like the most obvious ants, Like yeah, I
- 25:55Speaker 29: was a little that sucked watching that happen to your
- 25:57Speaker 29: wife because you make fun of me and makes me
- 25:58Speaker 29: insecure and whatever. But like, if you're just going to
- 26:00Speaker 29: run with these lives about my wife, that's tough.
- 26:02Speaker 28: But it ended up being good for me and for us,
- 26:05Speaker 28: and I think it kind of got it. We were
- 26:08Speaker 28: lucky enough. I was lucky.
- 26:09Speaker 29: Like this is weirdly how I found out I had any.
- 26:11Speaker 28: Level of same.
- 26:12Speaker 29: But I got to see the bad side first before
- 26:14Speaker 29: I could be seduced by the good side.
- 26:16Speaker 28: So it was like, now I know, I don't that's
- 26:18Speaker 28: nothing I want.
- 26:19Speaker 29: I want as we do family playing and we're talking
- 26:21Speaker 29: about having kids, I don't want them to have to
- 26:24Speaker 29: I want them to be able to say whatever they say.
- 26:26Speaker 29: Like my wife and I make jokes about each other
- 26:28Speaker 29: that y'all probably would find disrespectful, but like I truly
- 26:32Speaker 29: I call her an idiot all the time.
- 26:33Speaker 28: I called her a.
- 26:34Speaker 29: Dipshit last week, Like these are things that are funny
- 26:37Speaker 29: to us because we know each other, We love each other,
- 26:39Speaker 29: and I do think it's funny that some people, now
- 26:41Speaker 29: that they're like okay, find nothing that they made up
- 26:44Speaker 29: about her, which is crazy was true, but still she
- 26:47Speaker 29: was disrespectful to you. And it's like a lot of
- 26:49Speaker 29: those same people are the guys who are very anti
- 26:52Speaker 29: censorship for comedy. But if a woman is making jokes
- 26:55Speaker 29: about her husband, now you're kind of a snowflake about it.
- 26:58Speaker 29: I try to keep the same energy, be like, hey,
- 27:01Speaker 29: I legit, I'm not even making this up. I just
- 27:03Speaker 29: remembered this. I called her a bitch on our first date,
- 27:06Speaker 29: just to make sure she was cool with me being me.
- 27:09Speaker 9: I just like dead ass.
- 27:10Speaker 29: I was like this bitch jokingly, but like catching the waters.
- 27:14Speaker 29: And she and I are fooled because we know each
- 27:16Speaker 29: other very intimately. We are the only partners we've ever had.
- 27:19Speaker 29: We know she's been broke together, so like there's no
- 27:21Speaker 29: level of understanding of each other that these jokes are
- 27:25Speaker 29: fine with us. And that's something I want for my
- 27:28Speaker 29: kids too. I want us to all be able to
- 27:29Speaker 29: joke around with each other. Take the shot, even if
- 27:32Speaker 29: it hurts my feelings. I'll tell you, and then you
- 27:34Speaker 29: move on and that's it, like try to be funny,
- 27:36Speaker 29: and it's if you succeed amazing.
- 27:38Speaker 28: It's not.
- 27:39Speaker 27: It's all good.
- 27:39Speaker 29: But like words or words and actions are different, and
- 27:41Speaker 29: in action, my wife has carried herself with a lot
- 27:43Speaker 29: of honor and dignity, even if you don't like the
- 27:45Speaker 29: words she said. It's been six months now. There's no
- 27:48Speaker 29: in like text messages or screenshots or photos or videos
- 27:53Speaker 29: that validate any.
- 27:54Speaker 28: Of the rumors that were made up about her. And
- 27:56Speaker 28: tens of millions, hundreds of millions of people saw it.
- 27:58Speaker 29: So if there was true, don't you think one guy
- 28:01Speaker 29: would have been like, yeah, in college, she and I
- 28:03Speaker 29: X y Z.
- 28:04Speaker 28: Here's a screen, chet, here's a picture, here's.
- 28:06Speaker 29: Her saying I had a great time, but none of
- 28:08Speaker 29: that came out.
- 28:08Speaker 28: Yeah, yeah, yeah, so yeah.
- 28:10Speaker 29: I think it's I just think it's a little Yeah.
- 28:13Speaker 29: It was ended up being good for me and my
- 28:15Speaker 29: wife and I are fantastic and like I know her
- 28:17Speaker 29: and she knows me, and God knows us, and that's
- 28:20Speaker 29: what we try to remember.
- 28:21Speaker 6: I love that, brother, that's a great answer, and thank
- 28:23Speaker 6: you so much for sharing that with us. That's not
- 28:26Speaker 6: very easy to address. And I know a lot of
- 28:28Speaker 6: people have been kind of poking about it, so of course, yeah,
- 28:31Speaker 6: thank you.
- 28:31Speaker 28: Of course I know everybody wondering, so we have to
- 28:33Speaker 28: admit it.
- 28:34Speaker 6: Yeah, it's very class of you. Thank you so much.
- 28:36Speaker 6: You know, let's take this back to comedy. Yeah, you know, listen,
- 28:40Speaker 6: you you do podcasts for three hours, you're on stage,
- 28:46Speaker 6: you know, doing stand up. Those are two different worlds.
- 28:49Speaker 6: They almost take two different brains. You know, which ones
- 28:52Speaker 6: you do you enjoy the most? And what is it
- 28:55Speaker 6: that each of you know, each kind of medium takes
- 28:57Speaker 6: from you.
- 28:58Speaker 28: Oh, it's just stage. Casting is like it's a job.
- 29:01Speaker 29: Like I don't think God put me here to be
- 29:03Speaker 29: a podcaster, and I think if you, if you, thank God,
- 29:05Speaker 29: but he's here to be a.
- 29:06Speaker 28: Podcast that's pretty lame. So I love stand ups. Stand
- 29:10Speaker 28: up to me is like a real art format. Podcasting
- 29:12Speaker 28: is cool.
- 29:13Speaker 29: But also I realized most of the things that got
- 29:15Speaker 29: people in hot water, including stand ups our podcast. But
- 29:18Speaker 29: the jokes are jokes, and people somehow don't have my
- 29:21Speaker 29: wife and stuff that everybody was defended by podcast right,
- 29:24Speaker 29: And it's like, what's the upside of that? I don't
- 29:27Speaker 29: it's money, but like it's kind of everything else that
- 29:30Speaker 29: comes with it kind of sucks. So what are we
- 29:32Speaker 29: doing here?
- 29:32Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 29:33Speaker 6: Yeah, listen, big show this weekend. I know as a
- 29:37Speaker 6: creative you're always tinkering with your sat and kind of
- 29:41Speaker 6: playing around with it. Where are you at with this thing?
- 29:43Speaker 6: Are you ready for this Sunday? And you ready to
- 29:46Speaker 6: go with it?
- 29:47Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 29:47Speaker 29: I feel very good about the set. I think it's
- 29:49Speaker 29: in a really good place. I think it's my beast
- 29:51Speaker 29: material by far, I hope and everybody feels that way.
- 29:53Speaker 28: Who comes out.
- 29:54Speaker 29: But the idea of selling out six thousand tickets is done.
- 29:57Speaker 29: If I sell four thousand, great number, but you walk
- 30:01Speaker 29: in and the theater's only two thirds full and you're like, wow,
- 30:03Speaker 29: this guy sucks.
- 30:04Speaker 28: So I passed fourth.
- 30:05Speaker 29: Outand for the record, but I really want to sell
- 30:08Speaker 29: this out there.
- 30:08Speaker 28: I mean a lot to me, so anybody who's listening,
- 30:10Speaker 28: but I take it. I'm sorry.
- 30:11Speaker 29: The venue did not They will not allow me to
- 30:13Speaker 29: do discount codes Indians, so I do not have a
- 30:16Speaker 29: discount code. There was one of tree sale, but y'all
- 30:18Speaker 29: didn't do it. So because you do everything late, so
- 30:22Speaker 29: no discount go, but please still come out.
- 30:24Speaker 28: I comit.
- 30:25Speaker 29: We're going to put on a phenomenal show from the
- 30:27Speaker 29: moment you walk into the room and tell the moment.
- 30:29Speaker 28: The show is over.
- 30:30Speaker 29: I truly believe every single second there's something that will
- 30:34Speaker 29: be fun for you.

- 30:40Speaker 6: that whole discount code thing. I was about to get
- 30:42Speaker 6: hit up in my DMS for it, so.

- 31:16Speaker 29: things dot com go there.
- 31:17Speaker 6: There you go, folks, or take a message.

- 36:33Speaker 6: the show that song called and ladies and gentlemen, it's
- 36:40Speaker 6: now our time to bring in Niche x Fader to
- 36:44Speaker 6: the show as he's about to bring in his song Veria.
- 36:48Speaker 2: Thank you Sammy.
- 36:49Speaker 34: So this upcoming single is called Veria, which means enemies.
- 36:54Speaker 34: It features the very talented Romo Hunts and the track
- 36:58Speaker 34: represents souation flavors with urban music, similar to all my
- 37:04Speaker 34: release singles and also as a DJ, I've always tried
- 37:08Speaker 34: to showcase those sounds. But this time it is my
- 37:11Speaker 34: tribute to Doctor Trey, whose music has influenced me and
- 37:16Speaker 34: so many artists around the world. So the track should
- 37:18Speaker 34: be out on the first of me and I'm really
- 37:22Speaker 34: excited about the music video. It's been done by sam Battacharji,
- 37:26Speaker 34: who has won so many prestigious awards like the Dada
- 37:29Speaker 34: syb Falk Award. The music video has some cutting edge
- 37:33Speaker 34: EI programming in terms of audio. It showcases, you know,
- 37:38Speaker 34: the true essence of gangster hip hop from the nineties,
- 37:40Speaker 34: just like the Masters did it back in the day. Basically,
- 37:43Speaker 34: it is our Punjabi version of gangster hip hop and
- 37:47Speaker 34: I hope everyone enjoys it.
- 37:48Speaker 12: Back to you, Sammy, thank.
- 37:50Speaker 6: You so much, Manish, We're here for it. This song
- 37:54Speaker 6: is called Vadia and it features Romo Hans.

- 39:38Speaker 9: Call and come on.
- 39:43Speaker 1: The very ark okay okay very a kid.
- 40:12Speaker 6: The song is called Vanya. I wanted to bring in
- 40:16Speaker 6: my buddy, Sonny. Got a while into the show. Was up, Sonny,
- 40:19Speaker 6: did you get a chance to hear that interview with
- 40:21Speaker 6: ash Sing?
- 40:22Speaker 7: Dude, I'm gonna relate to that guy, think I am
- 40:26Speaker 7: funny thing.
- 40:28Speaker 6: I really enjoyed that conversation, Sonny. It was you know,
- 40:33Speaker 6: he was really upfront, and I'm really happy that he
- 40:38Speaker 6: answered his question. Of course about his marriage. It's something
- 40:40Speaker 6: that everybody wants to know about, and he was very
- 40:42Speaker 6: open about it. And and of course he talked a
- 40:45Speaker 6: lot about his career and what he's doing. But I
- 40:47Speaker 6: think this interview was a moment for him as well.
- 40:50Speaker 6: I think he got a chance to address something that
- 40:53Speaker 6: everybody has been thinking about, and I think he hit
- 40:57Speaker 6: it right on the head.
- 40:58Speaker 36: Acting you would do you with so warm and comforting,
- 41:02Speaker 36: and also you got him to you know, you're going
- 41:05Speaker 36: to do a safe space where he felt comfortable talking
- 41:08Speaker 36: about it.
- 41:08Speaker 7: Do you know what I mean? And not every interviewer
- 41:10Speaker 7: can do.
- 41:11Speaker 36: That is a skill in itself, just to make people
- 41:13Speaker 36: feel comfortable in these kinds of spaces.
- 41:15Speaker 7: And don't forget the.
- 41:16Speaker 36: Fact that you know, he was like, I don't know,
- 41:20Speaker 36: so when you asked him about his wife. Was this
- 41:22Speaker 36: something that was be prepared Did he know about it
- 41:24Speaker 36: or is it something that you just asked off the cough.
- 41:26Speaker 7: I mean, you know, like something like that.
- 41:28Speaker 36: I guess you you cannot be really think about it
- 41:32Speaker 36: or you're prepared.
- 41:33Speaker 6: I did prepare him, you know, it was something that
- 41:35Speaker 6: was I didn't want to feel like I was ambushing
- 41:39Speaker 6: him on the air with a question that was so personal,
- 41:41Speaker 6: because you know, there's this public persona thing going on,
- 41:44Speaker 6: but you got to forget you forget it's a husband
- 41:46Speaker 6: and wife and their private dynamic is playing out in public,
- 41:50Speaker 6: and so I don't want to just pull that into
- 41:53Speaker 6: the front of this conversation like that, And so I
- 41:56Speaker 6: did prepare him. I said, listen, I if it's okay
- 41:59Speaker 6: with you, do you mind if I ask you the
- 42:00Speaker 6: personal question. And he was open with it, and he
- 42:03Speaker 6: was like, yeah, man, totally cool with it and totally open.
- 42:05Speaker 6: And I just loved how he hit it head on.
- 42:08Speaker 6: And you know, the answer was great because he said, listen,
- 42:10Speaker 6: I know that people have this kind of thought as
- 42:14Speaker 6: to what's going on, but you know, in our private life,
- 42:16Speaker 6: we're completely happy with each other. And I've seen and
- 42:19Speaker 6: there's no evidence of any of these false rumors that
- 42:22Speaker 6: were being spread. And apparently, you know, there are people
- 42:25Speaker 6: around him that were doing that, and so he kind
- 42:28Speaker 6: of knew where the information was getting leaked out and
- 42:30Speaker 6: it was just just down to them as a couple
- 42:33Speaker 6: kind of remaining strong through it all. And I think
- 42:35Speaker 6: they did that and that's what he was reflecting on,
- 42:36Speaker 6: I think in that interview. And so but it was
- 42:38Speaker 6: an interesting conversation. Nonetheless, Oh god, yeah, I mean, don't.
- 42:42Speaker 36: Forget when it first came out as a station that
- 42:45Speaker 36: reflects from the culture and what's going on, and especially
- 42:48Speaker 36: with the support of people from our community and the mainstream.
- 42:52Speaker 36: Like he is, he is mainstream, he's not. He's not
- 42:54Speaker 36: he's not an Indian. He's talking about Indian things. You're
- 42:57Speaker 36: just a comedian talking about his experiences of what that
- 43:01Speaker 36: may be. And the fact that we commented on the
- 43:04Speaker 36: station about this incident with his wife and her podcast
- 43:08Speaker 36: and her remark, I think it would have been I
- 43:11Speaker 36: think it would have been a missed opportunity if you
- 43:13Speaker 36: didn't ask him, because I think it's something that he
- 43:16Speaker 36: feels that, Oh, they talked about this situation, but they
- 43:19Speaker 36: also gave me the chance to sort of address it
- 43:22Speaker 36: as well, and I think that just gives credit to
- 43:24Speaker 36: the station that we have the freedom to have these
- 43:26Speaker 36: kinds of conversations and also bring on the people that
- 43:29Speaker 36: we are talking about and give them the opportunity to
- 43:32Speaker 36: give their side of event, you know what I mean,
- 43:34Speaker 36: because there all speculation unless you're in that room with
- 43:36Speaker 36: each other. I mean, that's a husband and wife relationship.
- 43:39Speaker 36: We don't know what happens. And I said this on
- 43:41Speaker 36: the I think I said this to you as well.
- 43:43Speaker 7: As long as you happy with his wife with whatever
- 43:45Speaker 7: he does it, that's between them two.
- 43:48Speaker 36: But what's coming out And maybe and I did say
- 43:51Speaker 36: this is well, I'm sure about her, you know her
- 43:54Speaker 36: experience on these you know, and the language or how
- 43:57Speaker 36: she presented herself. Maybe a bit more guidance would have
- 43:59Speaker 36: been appropriate, you know what I mean.
- 44:01Speaker 7: Yeah, And he's just skill, because don't get this guy.
- 44:04Speaker 7: He's a comedian. He's really good at what he does.
- 44:06Speaker 7: He's been doing it for years, you know what I mean.
- 44:09Speaker 7: He's like grafted.
- 44:10Speaker 6: He's a pro.
- 44:10Speaker 36: He didn't just turn up on YouTube and he was
- 44:12Speaker 36: overnight success.
- 44:13Speaker 7: He's been grafting.
- 44:14Speaker 36: And you know how comedy club then you and and
- 44:17Speaker 36: I guess you would know bet than I because he's
- 44:19Speaker 36: it's in America that he's you know, cut his teeth.
- 44:22Speaker 7: And did the groundwork.
- 44:23Speaker 6: Yeah, he has been really working the scene for a while,
- 44:26Speaker 6: and you know, there is a public persona and there's
- 44:28Speaker 6: a private persona, right, and I think that you know,
- 44:30Speaker 6: they're probably skating in between those two worlds. But it
- 44:33Speaker 6: was a fascinating conversation. I think. You know, listen, you
- 44:36Speaker 6: take a step back from this. The gentleman is about
- 44:40Speaker 6: to perform at Radio City Hall here in New York
- 44:42Speaker 6: City in front of six seven thousand people, which is
- 44:45Speaker 6: going to be an amazing accomplishment on a personal level.
- 44:48Speaker 6: So you know, he's rebounded well from this, and I'm
- 44:51Speaker 6: proud of him, you know, as a friend, and I
- 44:53Speaker 6: think that it's something that we can all take something
- 44:56Speaker 6: away from that. No matter what may be going on
- 44:58Speaker 6: in the private life or whatever, you sometimes got to
- 45:00Speaker 6: put your head down and just go face the world
- 45:02Speaker 6: and you know, and go be funny on top of that,
- 45:05Speaker 6: which is so hard to do nothing.
- 45:07Speaker 36: And he is a funny guy. I mean, like you's
- 45:09Speaker 36: good at he's good at breaking people down in the audience.
- 45:12Speaker 36: You know, Like there's some comedians who are like my
- 45:14Speaker 36: favorite comedians are people like you know, I've said this before,
- 45:17Speaker 36: but I've just mentioned this one, Billy Connolly. I love
- 45:20Speaker 36: the way that he sets up a joke and he
- 45:22Speaker 36: takes you on a story and if you heckle him,
- 45:25Speaker 36: or if you interrupt him, he gets pissed the fuck off.
- 45:28Speaker 36: But then he missed me saying, look, you just broke
- 45:31Speaker 36: the I'm trying to paint you a picture here and
- 45:33Speaker 36: there's a punchline he cut thee And when you get
- 45:37Speaker 36: and when you and when you watch him, no one heckled.
- 45:40Speaker 7: Well, no one heckled him, right.
- 45:42Speaker 36: And if you go to one of those kind of
- 45:43Speaker 36: comedian shows that any pictures that are setting.
- 45:46Speaker 7: Up a joke, you don't want them to be interrupted.
- 45:48Speaker 36: You want to sit back and let them paint that
- 45:51Speaker 36: picture for you, you know what I mean. And there's
- 45:53Speaker 36: comedians like him, like like a gosh, who are like,
- 45:56Speaker 36: come on, bring it on.
- 45:58Speaker 7: I'm here for you, man. Give me what you've got.
- 46:00Speaker 7: What what do you do for a living? What's that
- 46:01Speaker 7: company you're going? Who's that with you?
- 46:03Speaker 6: He's one of the.
- 46:04Speaker 36: Crowd working kind of comedian. Yeah, yes, a lot of
- 46:06Speaker 36: comedians do recently, you know what I mean. And that's
- 46:08Speaker 36: a skill youself. I can't wait for him to come
- 46:12Speaker 36: to London, Yeah, I.
- 46:14Speaker 6: Can't wait for you. An interview would be a great conversation, Sonny. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 46:21Speaker 6: I can't have all this fun all the time hanging
- 46:23Speaker 6: out with you, right, Sonny.
- 46:24Speaker 4: So you know, there you go.
- 46:26Speaker 6: Great talking with you, Sonny. I'll see you next week, brother,
- 46:30Speaker 6: next week. God, thank you, thank you Sonny. Great Sunny.
- 46:33Speaker 6: Got a while. Check out a show Monday afternoon, five
