- 1:10Speaker 2: of alerts is baffling. I need to talk to somebody.
- 1:16Speaker 2: I had a headache yesterday. I don't have a headache today.
- 1:19Speaker 2: And oh, you know, I feel like I started last
- 1:22Speaker 2: episode kind of saying that Delta Airlines would never find
- 1:25Speaker 2: my lost kindle. Apparently they found it. I can't believe
- 1:30Speaker 2: they found it. They are charging me thirty dollars in
- 1:32Speaker 2: shipping to get it back to me, and I know
- 1:35Speaker 2: how much things cost to ship, and I feel like
- 1:38Speaker 2: I've suffered enough already. It should have been a free
- 1:40Speaker 2: It should have been that should be part of the package.
- 1:42Speaker 2: They should bring it to me, but I'm happy to
- 1:45Speaker 2: get it back, and then I'll return the kindle I
- 1:47Speaker 2: bought in its place. My life is chaos, but I'm shocked.
- 1:53Speaker 2: I couldn't believe that they found it. And I think
- 1:55Speaker 2: that's the important news, and then less import We have

- 2:51Speaker 2: welcome to I said, no gifts.
- 2:53Speaker 4: Is that's the this is news for me. Can I
- 2:56Speaker 4: sit here in silently just take that all in the
- 2:59Speaker 4: amount of age and I think is being directed towards
- 3:01Speaker 4: me at all times? Is in fact I bake and
- 3:04Speaker 4: I am.
- 3:05Speaker 2: No, a lot of that is true.
- 3:07Speaker 4: Oh oh yeah, you're just being nice.
- 3:09Speaker 2: I'm trying to just butter you up, try to get
- 3:11Speaker 2: you in a good place mentally. But most people, good luck,
- 3:14Speaker 2: despise you, thank you, thank you. All of your suspicions
- 3:19Speaker 2: are true. The paranoia, I'm confirming it now.
- 3:22Speaker 4: It's amazing. I actually feel nice right now. Like normally,
- 3:25Speaker 4: I think I would have spun myself out and tricked
- 3:28Speaker 4: you into thinking that it would be fun to like
- 3:30Speaker 4: do a bit where I hate myself, but then it
- 3:32Speaker 4: would actually hurt my feelings. But actually I feel great.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Good. Then we've got you in the perfect spot. And
- 3:37Speaker 2: I'm also noticing this water is in between us. This
- 3:41Speaker 2: is your water.
- 3:42Speaker 4: No what okay, I'm so glad you called it out
- 3:45Speaker 4: because I was not gonna touch it, but I was
- 3:47Speaker 4: gonna want it this whole time.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Just let that be tense.
- 3:50Speaker 4: Why don't you have water?
- 3:51Speaker 2: Well, I have this Lacroix right here. But it's a
- 3:53Speaker 2: nice little is a cozy A cozy. And now that
- 3:57Speaker 2: I've said the name of the drink, I think it's
- 3:58Speaker 2: fine for me to say that behind this.
- 4:01Speaker 4: Don't bleep it.
- 4:03Speaker 2: I have a That's something I've been complaining about the
- 4:07Speaker 2: Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. They're blurring out every soda
- 4:09Speaker 2: on the show, and I know they're diet cokes. Why
- 4:12Speaker 2: are these Yeah, they're clearly diet cokes.
- 4:15Speaker 4: They should put the bring back the black box that
- 4:17Speaker 4: goes over all that.
- 4:18Speaker 2: I love the blurring. I'm blur, the tasteful blur. Give
- 4:22Speaker 2: us the girls gone wild blur. I mean the blood
- 4:25Speaker 2: black box, or the mosaic, the like America's Most Wanted
- 4:29Speaker 2: or crime footage. Yeah, the squares.
- 4:31Speaker 4: Why aren't they doing squares anymore? Should I think that
- 4:33Speaker 4: we're so slick, we're so marvel blind that we need
- 4:38Speaker 4: a blur.
- 4:38Speaker 2: We need a nice little smooth blur. The black box,
- 4:41Speaker 2: I think is a very good idea.
- 4:42Speaker 4: It's just you everybody say, go home to your wives.
- 4:45Speaker 4: You know, like, I have a good day.
- 4:47Speaker 2: And you're just panicking that it could like fly off
- 4:49Speaker 2: at any moment. Yeah, you know, it's like the editor
- 4:52Speaker 2: could have dropped the ball, and then the black box
- 4:54Speaker 2: gets too far off of whatever's being blurred, and then
- 4:56Speaker 2: you get a peek at whatever you want to take
- 4:58Speaker 2: a peek at.
- 4:59Speaker 4: It's compelling, it's very cool. Well, I have two mugs now.
- 5:02Speaker 4: I asked for a mug because the travel mug that
- 5:04Speaker 4: I brought my coffee and is the mug I don't
- 5:07Speaker 4: like because of the sound that the ice makes me.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Oh, it's the sound of the ice.
- 5:11Speaker 4: It's cost the sound of the ice clunking against the
- 5:14Speaker 4: like leeching plastic black lid is like and I don't
- 5:20Speaker 4: want that, but I wanted it. I saw this mug
- 5:22Speaker 4: and I was like, I would like a mug too,
- 5:23Speaker 4: because that's clearly Bridger's water.
- 5:26Speaker 2: And you were so wrong.
- 5:27Speaker 4: I was like, what's wrong with them that they didn't
- 5:29Speaker 4: bring the water? But now I have two beverages, which
- 5:31Speaker 4: is at least that's my minimum.
- 5:33Speaker 2: You should start with two. What should be a water
- 5:35Speaker 2: at all times, yes, just a neutral thing, yeah, and
- 5:38Speaker 2: then whatever you want, oh, this is my fun coffee,
- 5:41Speaker 2: and then maybe a third thing that you're experimenting with.
- 5:44Speaker 2: What look at me, I've just got you know, like
- 5:46Speaker 2: you could have a new flavor of Lacroix that you like,
- 5:49Speaker 2: just grabbed out of the fridge, and you think, oh,
- 5:51Speaker 2: I might not actually like that, so I'll have these
- 5:52Speaker 2: two backups, right, But you only have two and I
- 5:55Speaker 2: only have one. So I'm a hypocrite, you are.
- 5:58Speaker 4: But it's okay.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Did you make that coffe you home?
- 6:02Speaker 3: My?
- 6:03Speaker 4: Oh this is bad. My husband put it in the
- 6:05Speaker 4: tumbler for me and I took it out the door.
- 6:08Speaker 2: That's very nice. It's very Betty Draper, Betty Draper on
- 6:12Speaker 2: the go, he's Betty Draper. Oh for oh interesting, he's Betty.
- 6:17Speaker 4: Yeah, gave me my coffee and I went to.
- 6:19Speaker 2: My car and you drove away.
- 6:22Speaker 4: Yeah, an expensive song plays.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Oh. I mean it's a little spoiler here, but r
- 6:29Speaker 2: I P Betty.
- 6:30Speaker 4: Draper, r P Betty Draper. I thought this was how
- 6:35Speaker 4: I was finding out the January Jones time, and I
- 6:36Speaker 4: was like, I.
- 6:37Speaker 2: Will feel so celebrity spoiler alert of celebrity. We're getting news.
- 6:43Speaker 4: January Jones has been apprehended by federal agents and she
- 6:46Speaker 4: did not survive.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Get a shootout with the FBI. Okay, so your husband,
- 6:55Speaker 2: but did he make the coffee at home or did
- 6:56Speaker 2: he buy.
- 6:56Speaker 4: The we had leftover cold brew from?
- 6:59Speaker 2: Why? Interesting?
- 7:00Speaker 4: And that was exciting.
- 7:03Speaker 2: I love a leftover. I drink leftover cold brew this morning.
- 7:06Speaker 4: Oh really, yes, that's I would ask you your brand.
- 7:08Speaker 4: But now I'm worried about having to bleep it.
- 7:10Speaker 2: Well, we won't have to bleep it. Well, this is
- 7:12Speaker 2: if you want a whole explanation. I usually make mine,
- 7:15Speaker 2: but we've started ordering the grounds from a thing which
- 7:18Speaker 2: I've recently canceled. But we were waiting for the latest batch,
- 7:21Speaker 2: so I hadn't made any. So I went to Starbucks
- 7:23Speaker 2: and bought a giant thing of cold brew, just because
- 7:26Speaker 2: I knew in the morning, yeah, I'm going to need
- 7:28Speaker 2: some sort of coffee and I don't drink hot coffee. Really.
- 7:31Speaker 4: In the afternoon, when you're looking at Pinterest, you're like,
- 7:33Speaker 4: I'm gonna I only ever use cheesecloth and ground beans.
- 7:38Speaker 4: I will never buy a bottle of coffee again. And
- 7:40Speaker 4: in the morning, when you know you have the Starbucks
- 7:43Speaker 4: cold brew bottle in your bridge, oh my gosh, it's well,
- 7:48Speaker 4: it's exists a thrill, it's a birthday feeling.
- 7:52Speaker 2: But the ice cubes in that are beautiful I noticed
- 7:55Speaker 2: when you pour okay and full disclosure, you did dump
- 7:57Speaker 2: part of it on the table.
- 7:58Speaker 4: I that's been clean, pour it all, I said, can
- 8:01Speaker 4: I have a mug and pour on? Elise went out it.
- 8:04Speaker 4: It took one minute and thirty seconds at least to
- 8:07Speaker 4: find the mug, which made me feel guilty. And then
- 8:10Speaker 4: I tried to quickly pour it in here and it's
- 8:13Speaker 4: billed all over the white marble table that I'm realizing
- 8:16Speaker 4: isn't real marble. I felt so guilty.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Actually, oh well, I haven't ever thought about it here.
- 8:20Speaker 2: It's too warm to be marble. It's too warm to
- 8:22Speaker 2: be yeah, oh ice cold Church temperature. I love to
- 8:26Speaker 2: be able to chop meat on this.
- 8:28Speaker 4: You should. I even if you chop meat on this,
- 8:30Speaker 4: you'd immediately make a new salmonella.
- 8:32Speaker 2: This is not no, no, no, this it's too porous.
- 8:35Speaker 4: Yeah, well, I am glad. I was feeling guilty about that.
- 8:38Speaker 4: But then, yeah, so these ice cubes are big, square guys.
- 8:41Speaker 4: Should I pour it out towards camera like a like
- 8:44Speaker 4: a stupid idiot.
- 8:45Speaker 2: It's almost impossible to show that off to camera, I think, But.
- 8:50Speaker 4: Yeah, so these are huge ice cubes. Because I live
- 8:52Speaker 4: with a man who's my husband. And husbands all have
- 8:56Speaker 4: big square ice cube train, right, every husband and comes
- 9:00Speaker 4: with one into that's his dowry and.
- 9:04Speaker 2: That's what you get from the band.
- 9:05Speaker 4: And then only the white plastic ice cube trays disappear
- 9:08Speaker 4: the longer you've been married. And then we now have
- 9:11Speaker 4: two of these, and I don't know where the second
- 9:13Speaker 4: one came from. Interesting, he's not out yeah, and then
- 9:16Speaker 4: he's like, I actually don't like this one, Like, no
- 9:19Speaker 4: one likes it them. Why are they here? But you
- 9:21Speaker 4: need ice so you're not picky?
- 9:22Speaker 2: Is he is this like a like a whiskey thing?
- 9:26Speaker 2: Is it? Like he's got to tell.
- 9:27Speaker 4: Probably what they're for. We're not whiskey guys. But we
- 9:31Speaker 4: both have siblings and siblings in law who don't quite
- 9:34Speaker 4: know us. Soaked we get a lot of whiskey stones,
- 9:38Speaker 4: a lot of wine opens.
- 9:40Speaker 2: I think that's the key to getting nice things, is
- 9:42Speaker 2: people not knowing you.
- 9:43Speaker 4: That well at all. Well, you know, no spoilers, but
- 9:48Speaker 4: that'll be that'll come.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Back sure, sure, yeah, okay, great? Interesting, Well yeah, that's
- 9:52Speaker 2: I think it's a beautiful ice cube and I'm jealous
- 9:54Speaker 2: of it. I mean, it's so gorgeous. They are. I
- 9:58Speaker 2: think that's an inconvenient type of life ice cube.
- 10:00Speaker 4: Do you want me to slide it towards these events?
- 10:02Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 10:02Speaker 2: Because it looks also very clear. You know, it's not
- 10:05Speaker 2: like foggy like this is going to take a picture
- 10:08Speaker 2: if you don't mind off please some Yeah, that's fine.
- 10:10Speaker 2: Just make sure to tag a big square social big
- 10:13Speaker 2: husband ice. Look at that, it's like there's like a
- 10:17Speaker 2: an explosion in it. This is the most beautiful ice
- 10:20Speaker 2: cube I've ever seen.
- 10:21Speaker 4: You got to come and take them out of our house.
- 10:23Speaker 4: I can't see them anymore.
- 10:25Speaker 2: I need to just.
- 10:25Speaker 4: Commit to a new ice cube. But yeah, it is
- 10:28Speaker 4: like a big square cube, which is what a cube is.
- 10:30Speaker 4: But it reminds me of like when you'd order ice
- 10:34Speaker 4: in like the nineteen early nineteen hundreds and they like
- 10:36Speaker 4: cut it out of a lake and it would just
- 10:39Speaker 4: the mountains. Yeah right, we're historians.
- 10:45Speaker 2: They had it in the wagon and they brought it
- 10:47Speaker 2: down from the creek.
- 10:50Speaker 4: And everyone stood on both sides of the road entering
- 10:53Speaker 4: town and clapped.
- 10:55Speaker 2: This is all very relevant to me, and this is
- 10:56Speaker 2: something I talk about too much on this podcast. But
- 10:58Speaker 2: I'm watching The Little House on the prairie for the
- 10:59Speaker 2: first time.
- 11:00Speaker 4: So that's the show, and it's from the fifties or something.
- 11:03Speaker 2: Seventies, seventies about the eighteen hundreds.
- 11:07Speaker 4: Tell me all about it.
- 11:08Speaker 2: You don't know anything about it, Well, I'm aware.
- 11:10Speaker 4: I can picture the color.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Picture the eighteen hundreds, yeap as funneled through the nineteen seventies.
- 11:16Speaker 2: Last night I was watching the plague episode and it's dark.
- 11:20Speaker 2: It truly is like there's some haunting images. There's a
- 11:24Speaker 2: wagon that's being dragged by two horses with no rider
- 11:28Speaker 2: because the two people have died of typhus.
- 11:30Speaker 4: And the horses are dumb. They're like, there's school, go
- 11:33Speaker 4: till someone, so stop, that's the day gooing.
- 11:38Speaker 2: That's a good question, horsob what are we doing? I feel?
- 11:42Speaker 4: So? Did they get lighter? Or am I stronger?
- 11:46Speaker 2: I haven't said anything in a while, but would the
- 11:48Speaker 2: horses just keep moving without direction?
- 11:52Speaker 4: What's your gut?
- 11:54Speaker 2: I think they would? Hard workers, commitment and they love
- 11:58Speaker 2: the job.
- 12:00Speaker 4: Truses are I mean, horses are virgos.
- 12:02Speaker 2: They're absolutely virgoes. Every horse is a virgo. Yeah. I
- 12:05Speaker 2: think that's probably true.
- 12:07Speaker 4: That's why they call it horse season.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Horse season. September but yeah, it's a That episode in
- 12:14Speaker 2: particular was very haunting. The one before it dealt with
- 12:17Speaker 2: an age gap relationship.
- 12:19Speaker 4: Oh, and the direction is what we could guess.
- 12:21Speaker 2: It's well, now I fall asleep a lot, so I
- 12:24Speaker 2: can't remember exactly. You don't know who was older? Oh
- 12:26Speaker 2: who was older? I was. I thought you were gonna
- 12:27Speaker 2: say if it worked out or not, No, because it
- 12:29Speaker 2: doesn't work. I feel like they eventually acknowledge and said
- 12:33Speaker 2: this isn't going to work. The part as friends, they
- 12:35Speaker 2: part of his friends, and this guy is not old,
- 12:37Speaker 2: and it's just like, how did this happen in any
- 12:39Speaker 2: situation there's it's a bad matchup.
- 12:42Speaker 4: Well, it's the prairie, this's the prairie.
- 12:44Speaker 2: He's the town doctor, but the gal is head over
- 12:47Speaker 2: heels for this guy.
- 12:49Speaker 4: A town doctor. Imagine a town doctor.
- 12:56Speaker 2: Well, town doctor who let's everyone in the next episode
- 12:58Speaker 2: die of typhus.
- 13:00Speaker 4: I know he's so broken up.
- 13:02Speaker 2: Yeah, that's probably if she's to blame. It's always the
- 13:05Speaker 2: younger woman is to blame.
- 13:07Speaker 4: Is she a guest star or she's star? So she's
- 13:10Speaker 4: just gone after the relationship.
- 13:11Speaker 2: She vanishes, She's she's in town visiting her maybe her aunt.
- 13:18Speaker 2: I think, okay, and so then when the relationship falls apart,
- 13:22Speaker 2: why stick around?
- 13:23Speaker 4: She walks out of town and throws a vial over
- 13:25Speaker 4: her shoulder that explodes and releases diavis.
- 13:29Speaker 2: It's her rat that gets into the corn feed. They're
- 13:32Speaker 2: rat in the corn feed, Rat in the corn feed.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Classic episode.
- 13:35Speaker 4: I love that show.
- 13:36Speaker 2: You've got to watch it. Everybody's got to watch it.
- 13:38Speaker 2: Mostly sounds. It's a lot, it's really dark. This episode
- 13:44Speaker 2: honestly is largely sound. You see that it opens with
- 13:47Speaker 2: people I now you're talking about this podcast episode, this episode,
- 13:52Speaker 2: this particular podcast episode relying on sound for this one.
- 13:56Speaker 4: The sound episode.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Mostly purely visual, an action kind of a buster keat
- 14:02Speaker 2: and type a show. But this one we're entering the
- 14:08Speaker 2: sound era, and so, okay, great. This episode will be
- 14:12Speaker 2: two voices, a voice of at least two people talking
- 14:14Speaker 2: to each other.
- 14:15Speaker 4: We're trying it out, we're trying it out.
- 14:17Speaker 2: It's experimental. It's an idea show.
- 14:20Speaker 4: It's an idea no wrong answer, no wrong answer.
- 14:23Speaker 2: Yeah, what's going on in your life?
- 14:29Speaker 4: Oh my god? It sucks that you asked that because
- 14:32Speaker 4: the answer is something I would normally avoid, like someone
- 14:37Speaker 4: who Okay, I shot a short film the last two days.
- 14:41Speaker 2: Oh, directed it, yeah, acted in it. No, No, thank god, Okay,
- 14:46Speaker 2: that would be a lot.
- 14:47Speaker 4: Is just so to walk back and forth and look
- 14:50Speaker 4: at yourself on camp Why no, No, I don't ever
- 14:53Speaker 4: need to see a picture of myself ever.
- 14:55Speaker 2: Again.
- 14:56Speaker 4: None that it's bad. It's just I think that humans
- 14:58Speaker 4: weren't supposed to see what they're.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Faces look like. I really don't think we meant to
- 15:02Speaker 2: do it.
- 15:03Speaker 4: That's why we're all mentally ill. That's because we can
- 15:05Speaker 4: see it used to just be like the stream.
- 15:08Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, like a glimpse, and you would think it
- 15:12Speaker 2: was another realm.
- 15:14Speaker 4: It's another It's not what God wanted. If God wanted
- 15:17Speaker 4: us to see our faces, he wouldn't have put our
- 15:20Speaker 4: eyes on them.
- 15:23Speaker 2: Wow, I'll say it brought up a good point. Yeah,
- 15:26Speaker 2: but you are directing, and.
- 15:28Speaker 4: Direction wrote yeah, so it was. It was I'm sleepy now,
- 15:32Speaker 4: but it was so cool, it was so fun. We
- 15:34Speaker 4: shot it in this like beautiful old Uh it was
- 15:37Speaker 4: a church campus, church campus, like it was. We were
- 15:40Speaker 4: in a building that wasn't the church building.
- 15:43Speaker 2: Okay.
- 15:44Speaker 4: It was like a big old house with an extra
- 15:50Speaker 4: not the rectory is where is like where the priest
- 15:53Speaker 4: shoot pool.
- 15:53Speaker 2: I think, I don't really know the church and I
- 16:00Speaker 2: know the guys get out of here. But it it was.
- 16:06Speaker 2: It was.
- 16:06Speaker 4: It's called Hamilton. The house itself was called Hamilton House.
- 16:10Speaker 4: It was at the Congregational Church of the Chimes in
- 16:12Speaker 4: Sherman Oaks and it was it just it almost felt
- 16:16Speaker 4: like a summer camp right where because they also had
- 16:18Speaker 4: a summer camp going on. So we were shooting in
- 16:21Speaker 4: this beautiful house that had multiple rooms. It was massive,
- 16:25Speaker 4: which was great. But right outside of it was a
- 16:30Speaker 4: swimming pool where they taught preschoolers swim.
- 16:35Speaker 2: Lessons, okay, and probably baptisms.
- 16:37Speaker 4: Wow. I didn't even think about that.
- 16:39Speaker 2: Might as well if you just blessed the water like
- 16:42Speaker 2: a little bit of summer fun.
- 16:44Speaker 4: I took my kid to go swimming and now he's saved.
- 16:48Speaker 4: What the hell has.
- 16:49Speaker 2: A great idea? Wow, you can teach your child to
- 16:53Speaker 2: swim and have them be born again m secretly secret.
- 17:00Speaker 2: No one needs to know.
- 17:01Speaker 4: No one's doing this, no one needs no one needs
- 17:03Speaker 4: to know that your baptized up for guard. But it
- 17:08Speaker 4: was great that anytime we were in the middle of
- 17:12Speaker 4: I was like, this is it this is the take.
- 17:14Speaker 4: Oh my god, I'm picturing the Laurels. Here they come.
- 17:18Speaker 2: You'd hear ki kick kick good. Yeah, And it was.
- 17:23Speaker 4: Great because people kept saying, kids are screaming outside, and
- 17:26Speaker 4: then my idea was like, it's actually the adults teaching
- 17:29Speaker 4: the kids. The kids are they have their faces in
- 17:31Speaker 4: the water, and the adults are screaming like their kids were.
- 17:35Speaker 2: They were you not warns that there was gonna be
- 17:36Speaker 2: all this noise.
- 17:37Speaker 4: They said sometimes they teach swim lessons, but only from
- 17:42Speaker 4: three pm to seven pm every day. We were like, well,
- 17:45Speaker 4: that's sort of when tough time movies happen. And they
- 17:50Speaker 4: were like, we can just tell them not to come
- 17:52Speaker 4: if you want, and we were like that'd be good.
- 17:56Speaker 4: And but so neither of us were really committing to
- 17:58Speaker 4: saying like, yeah, go tell the kids that I can't
- 18:00Speaker 4: swim in a pool in the summer time.
- 18:03Speaker 2: I think.
- 18:03Speaker 4: I was just like, God's on my side. There's wind
- 18:05Speaker 4: in my sales, it won't be a problem. It was
- 18:08Speaker 4: actually the sound person was like, it's fine, Like it's
- 18:11Speaker 4: really thick glass windows, so she was it was the
- 18:14Speaker 4: opposite where like everyone in the room could hear screaming
- 18:17Speaker 4: and then on the boom mic she was like, no,
- 18:18Speaker 4: it's fine.
- 18:19Speaker 2: That to me sounds wrong. I'm I think your audio's ruined.
- 18:24Speaker 2: I'm always like, if I can hear it, absolutely, If
- 18:27Speaker 2: a microphone can't pick up something, I can hear, the
- 18:29Speaker 2: microphone's broken.
- 18:30Speaker 4: Do you hear a suggestible I am where I'm like,
- 18:32Speaker 4: I don't know how film works, and I'm gonna be
- 18:34Speaker 4: a good collaborator. I'm just gonna say, oh, crossing one eighty,
- 18:37Speaker 4: I'll never understand that day in my life. Ever, I'm
- 18:40Speaker 4: committed to not knowing it. So you tell me that
- 18:42Speaker 4: if we can hear it with our ears but the
- 18:44Speaker 4: mic can't, I'll go that's just another thing that I
- 18:46Speaker 4: don't get at. Okay, and thumbs up.
- 18:49Speaker 2: That's like if I can smell something, I'm like, my
- 18:51Speaker 2: sense of smell is so bad. I'm like, certainly this
- 18:53Speaker 2: is like a statewide issue. Everyone can smell this.
- 18:57Speaker 4: Yeah, well, we're in Burbank, near the the beautiful wastewater treatment.
- 19:01Speaker 2: Plant over in the five and can you smell that when.
- 19:04Speaker 4: You drive past it? It's crazy. Certain times a day
- 19:08Speaker 4: it's by the AMC, the like three AMC's.
- 19:11Speaker 2: Oh yeah, they're at least on the five. Yeah, have
- 19:13Speaker 2: you ever smelled it?
- 19:15Speaker 4: You just haven't been over there at rush hour. I
- 19:17Speaker 4: guess they release all the fart smells at rush hour.
- 19:21Speaker 2: They just open a valve and it just pipes.
- 19:24Speaker 4: As bad as possible. They're like, what if we created
- 19:26Speaker 4: a bad moment for people.
- 19:29Speaker 2: There's also kind of a secret jail right there. Oh,
- 19:33Speaker 2: aware of this? No, it's right by those theaters. No. Yeah,
- 19:37Speaker 2: I park by it because it's the easiest parking over there,
- 19:40Speaker 2: because it's notoriously near the worst parking in the world,
- 19:44Speaker 2: which is dominated by Ross Dress for Less. I don't
- 19:47Speaker 2: know if you've been in that parking garage.
- 19:49Speaker 4: I have, and it doesn't feel good.
- 19:51Speaker 2: It feels baffling. I go in there and I think,
- 19:55Speaker 2: how is Ross just always just overrun with customers? How
- 19:59Speaker 2: are there this many Ross cars? It Also, there's something
- 20:02Speaker 2: about that parking garage that makes me feel like I'm
- 20:05Speaker 2: about to accidentally drive into the store. It's like, keep going,
- 20:10Speaker 2: and it points you towards the door. Really, this isn't right.
- 20:14Speaker 2: They also have a valet for the Ross.
- 20:16Speaker 4: No they don't.
- 20:17Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure they do. I might just be in
- 20:20Speaker 2: a state when I'm in there, and but I'm pretty
- 20:23Speaker 2: sure you can have your car valet at Ross.
- 20:25Speaker 4: Who's valeting their car at Ross?
- 20:27Speaker 2: I guess if there was one place in the world
- 20:28Speaker 2: where I would valet, it would be at a Ross.
- 20:31Speaker 2: Why because I refuse to valet anywhere else. I think
- 20:34Speaker 2: it's too expensive. But I feel like it Ross. They
- 20:36Speaker 2: must have a good deal.
- 20:38Speaker 4: You know that it's the opposite. You know what Ross
- 20:41Speaker 4: I really likes. It's seventy bucks.
- 20:44Speaker 2: And then they park you just like in a tow
- 20:46Speaker 2: zone somewhere else.
- 20:47Speaker 4: They just drive you into the rocks a valet.
- 20:53Speaker 2: Oh my god.
- 20:53Speaker 4: Now there is a one man show if I've ever heard.
- 20:55Speaker 2: It, Oh the Ross valet guy. Oh come on, okay,
- 20:59Speaker 2: what what is the short about? Can you say?
- 21:02Speaker 4: It's about two sisters and their mom just died, and
- 21:09Speaker 4: they're at the funeral and they're about to go to
- 21:12Speaker 4: the cemetery and like close the coffin and go, but
- 21:15Speaker 4: they realize that they haven't decided if their mom would
- 21:19Speaker 4: have wanted to be buried wearing the necklace that she's wearing,
- 21:21Speaker 4: or if she would have wanted them to take it
- 21:22Speaker 4: off and like give it a new life, right, And
- 21:26Speaker 4: it's them having that conversation and then the mom comes
- 21:30Speaker 4: back to get it back at night.
- 21:32Speaker 2: Oh I love this. Yeah, this also reminds me. I
- 21:35Speaker 2: just watched The Mortician. I don't know if you watched that.
- 21:37Speaker 4: I watched it. I have a friend who lives near
- 21:39Speaker 4: that place.
- 21:40Speaker 2: No, we have you driven past?
- 21:43Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 21:44Speaker 2: What's left?
- 21:44Speaker 4: It's a lamp store now.
- 21:46Speaker 2: Oh, good lamps expensive?
- 21:48Speaker 4: I may The lamp industry is not not romanticized about anything.
- 21:52Speaker 2: No, they're like, you don't care.
- 21:54Speaker 4: What whose teeth got pulled out to be sold?
- 21:57Speaker 2: You will have got dragged off a body? It het frosts.
- 22:01Speaker 4: Do you think you'd be a good cremation worker?
- 22:05Speaker 3: No?
- 22:06Speaker 4: What job would you want in a crooked funeral home?
- 22:09Speaker 2: In a crooked funeral home, yes, I would probably want
- 22:12Speaker 2: to be. I would want to be doing the flowers
- 22:14Speaker 2: and overcharging for flowers. That's the easiest, cleanest job. You know,
- 22:18Speaker 2: everybody overcharges for flowers, so you don't feel as bad
- 22:21Speaker 2: about it. You're just in your shop, just in my shop.
- 22:25Speaker 2: You're not going where they're doing it, not smelling the
- 22:28Speaker 2: various things, not saying I couldn't deal with the bodies.
- 22:33Speaker 2: What would you do?
- 22:34Speaker 4: Is there a job that you clean up like little
- 22:38Speaker 4: trash that's been left in the the chapels.
- 22:41Speaker 2: Like various like Dorito's bags and cigarettes.
- 22:45Speaker 4: No, like indoor trash, like a little dixie cup.
- 22:47Speaker 2: That's what I'm talking about, funeral goers like popcorn buckets.
- 22:51Speaker 2: It's not Joe, try my grandma. Yeah, up the chapel.
- 22:57Speaker 4: I think that's a job, big gulf cups, a sweeper.
- 23:01Speaker 4: This is the problem, though, is I don't think there's
- 23:03Speaker 4: any good jobs.
- 23:05Speaker 2: I think.
- 23:06Speaker 4: If you're the flowers person, you're also you're in it.
- 23:10Speaker 2: You're in it, you're experiencing it being you're getting paid
- 23:13Speaker 2: too much. The mom who's pulling all the strings, you know,
- 23:16Speaker 2: because she was so heavily involved.
- 23:17Speaker 4: They loved her.
- 23:18Speaker 2: Everyone loved her. And she was a villain, an absolute devil.
- 23:22Speaker 4: She's the devil, but everyone talked about her just so rapturously.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Well, I guess she was a really sweet gal. Outside
- 23:29Speaker 2: of just robbing the general public and kind of orchestrating
- 23:33Speaker 2: all these bodies being burned at once. She had a
- 23:36Speaker 2: lot of good ideas.
- 23:37Speaker 4: It's bad And then when her son got caught and
- 23:39Speaker 4: went to prison, her son's wife was like, I can't
- 23:44Speaker 4: feed my children, and this beautiful, lovely woman told her
- 23:48Speaker 4: to go on food stamps instead of giving her money
- 23:51Speaker 4: for the grave robbing business that she profited off of.
- 23:57Speaker 2: Once you put a lot of hard work into that shed,
- 24:00Speaker 2: you know what she earned it.
- 24:02Speaker 4: This is why people with money have money is because
- 24:04Speaker 4: they save their money.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Yes, they save and earned they do. No one has
- 24:08Speaker 2: ever gotten money dishonestly. When you earn it, you deserve it,
- 24:11Speaker 2: and you shouldn't give it to other people, most all
- 24:14Speaker 2: your daughter in law and grandchildren.
- 24:16Speaker 4: What are kids gonna do with money? Why everyone's like
- 24:20Speaker 4: child support? Why does a kid they don't even have wallets?
- 24:25Speaker 4: Why is a kid using money for?
- 24:28Speaker 2: Yeah, there's something that you just had a huge problem
- 24:30Speaker 2: in the system.
- 24:31Speaker 4: I don't get it.
- 24:35Speaker 2: Can someone explain to me child explain it?
- 24:37Speaker 4: Like I'm vie.
- 24:40Speaker 2: For what? Well? Yeah, I think I probably would either
- 24:48Speaker 2: be the mom or the flower flop.
- 24:50Speaker 4: I think those are great answering. I honestly, I had
- 24:53Speaker 4: a phase where I wanted to become a funeral director.
- 24:55Speaker 4: Really yeah, at one age thirty four, So recently I
- 25:03Speaker 4: looked into it. There's a college nearby, you can get
- 25:06Speaker 4: the Pasadena. Yeah, Pasadena, like invented.
- 25:09Speaker 2: What's going on on death?
- 25:12Speaker 4: What's going on in Pasadena?
- 25:13Speaker 2: There's there's a lot of the occults. There's a lot
- 25:16Speaker 2: of things happening there.
- 25:18Speaker 4: You're right, there is the call the JPL.
- 25:20Speaker 2: There's the JPL cult and yeah, and how did that happen?
- 25:23Speaker 2: Because it was kind of sci fi cults, the devil
- 25:27Speaker 2: it was.
- 25:27Speaker 4: Yeah, it was like the scientists were also like sort
- 25:31Speaker 4: of Alistair Crowley.
- 25:32Speaker 2: I say, number one Satanist Alistair Crowley.
- 25:35Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know. It's beautiful there.
- 25:38Speaker 2: It's gorgeous.
- 25:38Speaker 4: You need to invent something that's darker.
- 25:41Speaker 2: People have big houses. They're bored.
- 25:43Speaker 4: The houses are scary there.
- 25:45Speaker 2: Ye, people are like, oh my house is scary. What
- 25:47Speaker 2: should I do?
- 25:47Speaker 4: I will worship Saytan, Yeah, what were we talking about?
- 25:53Speaker 4: Oh that I I honestly, unfortunately, do think that I
- 25:57Speaker 4: would want to be down there mixing it up with
- 26:00Speaker 4: the tooth pluckers.
- 26:02Speaker 2: You would what?
- 26:04Speaker 4: Not because I want to, but because that seems like
- 26:08Speaker 4: the hardest, worst job, and that is sort of what
- 26:11Speaker 4: I gravitate towards.
- 26:13Speaker 2: You want to just miserable work.
- 26:16Speaker 4: Yeah, I want to be squeezed hard.
- 26:19Speaker 2: What's the most miserable job? You've ever had.
- 26:22Speaker 4: That's such a good question. Miserable. I had a job
- 26:28Speaker 4: after college working for a fabric manufacturer or a fabric
- 26:34Speaker 4: importer okay, okay, which was a woman. It was a
- 26:36Speaker 4: business run by a woman who lived in Chelsea, and
- 26:40Speaker 4: it was like she would have an assistant that rotated
- 26:42Speaker 4: around different UCB people. And the job was cold calling
- 26:48Speaker 4: fabric wholesalers to try to get them to buy a
- 26:54Speaker 4: like bulk orders of fabric.
- 26:57Speaker 2: How successful could that possibly be?
- 27:00Speaker 4: I don't know. I'll tell you something. They were not
- 27:04Speaker 4: successful when I was working there because I didn't The
- 27:07Speaker 4: only words I remember are ponting knit. So I was
- 27:10Speaker 4: calling places that I didn't know. I don't like talking
- 27:13Speaker 4: to people I don't know sure, and trying to sell
- 27:16Speaker 4: them something that I didn't understand and had never seen.
- 27:20Speaker 4: And I also was in charge of logging my own hours,
- 27:23Speaker 4: and because I didn't understand it at all, I spend
- 27:26Speaker 4: a lot of time trying like being shy, Right, I
- 27:31Speaker 4: guess I've had my hours because I spent so little
- 27:33Speaker 4: time working. Does that make sense?
- 27:35Speaker 2: A lot of us just spent stuttering.
- 27:36Speaker 4: And yet if you have a pit in your stomach,
- 27:39Speaker 4: that's actually working.
- 27:41Speaker 2: Oh, that's regardless of if you're working or not. I
- 27:44Speaker 2: would argue, that's more than working, that's double time time.
- 27:47Speaker 4: Yeah. So then she was I made no sales for her,
- 27:50Speaker 4: and after like a month she was looking at my time.
- 27:52Speaker 4: She's like, how is this possible? You work ten hours
- 27:58Speaker 4: this whole week and you sold nothing?
- 28:03Speaker 2: Did she pay for them?
- 28:05Speaker 4: She paid me out and then fired.
- 28:06Speaker 2: Me, but she continued to hire UCB people. I don't
- 28:10Speaker 2: know what she did. Number one comedy nerd, this fabric saleswoman.
- 28:15Speaker 4: Do you want to buy Ponting knit?
- 28:17Speaker 2: Sure? Tell me about it.
- 28:19Speaker 4: No, I can't, And I don't want to be talking
- 28:24Speaker 4: to you at all right now. A shy doorder door salesman.
- 28:27Speaker 2: That's that's what I would be.
- 28:29Speaker 4: Yeah, well, I think you'd be a great doorder door salesman.
- 28:32Speaker 2: So insulting.
- 28:34Speaker 4: That is insulting. I'm sorry. You're friendly and you have
- 28:37Speaker 4: a nice voice.
- 28:38Speaker 2: I would be horrible. I would crumble, what kind of
- 28:40Speaker 2: horrible would you be? I don't like talking to people
- 28:43Speaker 2: I don't know. Really, I don't like imposing, Okay, I don't.
- 28:48Speaker 2: I'm just a bad salesperson, to be honest, I've been
- 28:51Speaker 2: in I've been in SALESI ish jobs and been so bad.
- 28:54Speaker 4: As what described to me as sales issue.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Let's see it. The first one that comes to I've
- 28:59Speaker 2: both were kind of retailish. One was Apple store that
- 29:03Speaker 2: is a social owner, and I an Apple computer at
- 29:08Speaker 2: the time, so I was not only trying to sell
- 29:10Speaker 2: these things. I didn't know anything about them because I
- 29:12Speaker 2: didn't I owned an iPod.
- 29:14Speaker 4: No, so I titled genius.
- 29:17Speaker 2: Thank God they didn't let me see as a genius.
- 29:21Speaker 2: A genius. I don't know anything, Please God, No, I
- 29:25Speaker 2: let no one ask me a question today because I
- 29:28Speaker 2: don't know anything. That's how I felt. So I was
- 29:29Speaker 2: like I would just kind of like not make eye
- 29:31Speaker 2: contact with customers and kind of just buzz around and
- 29:34Speaker 2: try to stay near music stuff so I can answer
- 29:36Speaker 2: questions about iPods.
- 29:38Speaker 4: Oh no, I.
- 29:39Speaker 2: Think it was probably like six months before I actually
- 29:41Speaker 2: because then they give you a discount on a computer
- 29:42Speaker 2: because I think they're like, please God, buy one of
- 29:44Speaker 2: our products. So I bought I think six months in.
- 29:47Speaker 2: But then I think I worked for eight months total
- 29:49Speaker 2: or something, and then I went back to work. But
- 29:52Speaker 2: whatever that one, and then I worked at best Buy
- 29:54Speaker 2: selling and as a cashier. This thing you have to
- 29:57Speaker 2: sell is product replacement plans, which is like insurance on
- 30:01Speaker 2: your CD player or whatever, and then free subscriptions to
- 30:05Speaker 2: Entertainment Weekly or Sports Illustrated.
- 30:08Speaker 4: That's the scammiest shit. You were also pitch it to
- 30:11Speaker 4: them at the registered Yes, what would you say.
- 30:14Speaker 2: Would you like to sign up for eight free weeks
- 30:16Speaker 2: of Entertainment Weekly or Sports Illustrated? To like, what the
- 30:18Speaker 2: fuck I'm buying headphones that I'm gonna return? What do
- 30:21Speaker 2: you talk? Why are we talking?
- 30:23Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 30:24Speaker 2: And then then you like had to then you would
- 30:26Speaker 2: hope that the man manager wasn't nearby because you could
- 30:29Speaker 2: be like, you can just give me your credit card
- 30:31Speaker 2: number and then cancel right here, because you know, you're
- 30:33Speaker 2: like just trying to get people to sign up for
- 30:35Speaker 2: these things.
- 30:36Speaker 4: Did you have a quota?
- 30:37Speaker 2: Of course, there was a whole thing, and then fuck,
- 30:39Speaker 2: you didn't make commission, So it's like, why am I
- 30:41Speaker 2: doing it?
- 30:42Speaker 4: It's pressure. I worked at Victoria's Secret for a little
- 30:44Speaker 4: bit and they try to get us to get people
- 30:46Speaker 4: to sign up for the bullshit in store credit cards
- 30:49Speaker 4: and they were like, you need to do one per
- 30:51Speaker 4: shift at least. That's a lot and I was like,
- 30:55Speaker 4: I will not. I think I worked there for a
- 30:58Speaker 4: few months and I, oh, it's got one person to
- 31:01Speaker 4: do it. And then she couldn't find her driver's license.
- 31:04Speaker 4: Gives you so close?
- 31:05Speaker 2: Can you pitch me on a Victoria's Secret credit card?
- 31:15Speaker 2: An underwear card? Sure that sounds good? Oh no, oh no, no,
- 31:25Speaker 2: it's horrible.
- 31:25Speaker 4: And you're interested in signing up for an Angel's card.
- 31:28Speaker 2: Oh that's what they're called angels.
- 31:29Speaker 4: I my mouth remembered it, my brain did card. You
- 31:32Speaker 4: seem to really easily remember.
- 31:35Speaker 2: Oh, like that came out of me, Like, I mean,
- 31:36Speaker 2: this is such a long time ago. This is brainwashing, brainwashing. Yeah,
- 31:41Speaker 2: I've been brainwashed. Yeah, and people don't talk about that
- 31:43Speaker 2: enough about me, what I've been through.
- 31:46Speaker 4: What do you want them to say in your fantasy?
- 31:48Speaker 2: What do they say he was brainwashed? I think that's easy.
- 31:53Speaker 4: Spread the word he was brainwashed. And look at him now,
- 31:57Speaker 4: and look at him now, he's doing so good. That's
- 32:00Speaker 4: so sweet.
- 32:02Speaker 2: Spread the word.
- 32:03Speaker 3: Well.
- 32:03Speaker 2: I think, look, there's something else we have to talk about. Yes,
- 32:07Speaker 2: another thing I'm not that comfortable talking about. I was
- 32:10Speaker 2: so happy you would be on the podcast. I was
- 32:12Speaker 2: really excited you would come and do the show. Thought,
- 32:14Speaker 2: Anna will come by. We'll have a nice conversation, you
- 32:18Speaker 2: will share secrets. We'll get into it and have a
- 32:21Speaker 2: nice time, and then our lives will move on. The
- 32:24Speaker 2: podcast is called I Said No Gifts. I don't know
- 32:28Speaker 2: if you got an email or a call or anything. Okay,
- 32:31Speaker 2: interesting because you did kind of walk into the studio.
- 32:35Speaker 2: I would say, kind of stride into the studio today
- 32:38Speaker 2: holding what's obviously a gift. Yeah, okay, is that for me?
- 32:46Speaker 2: Well yeah, okay, I skim the email. Oh you're a skimmer.
- 32:51Speaker 4: Yeah, but it did say please bring a gift.
- 32:54Speaker 2: Oh. Interesting.
- 32:54Speaker 4: On the podcast, make sure it's wrapped, because that's part
- 32:57Speaker 4: of it. It's funny that it's called I Said No Gifts,
- 33:00Speaker 4: and the joke will be that you bring one, and
- 33:03Speaker 4: then he'll act offended.
- 33:04Speaker 2: That is not in the email. Yes, it is absolutely
- 33:08Speaker 2: not in the email. And the email went like this,
- 33:11Speaker 2: It was moving its head all around. Well, okay, so
- 33:14Speaker 2: you've come here to lie in my to my face,
- 33:16Speaker 2: Lie in your face, lie in my face, lie in
- 33:20Speaker 2: my arms. As I whispered you lie in your that
- 33:24Speaker 2: I'm ready.
- 33:26Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 33:26Speaker 2: Should I open it here on the podcast? Yes?
- 33:31Speaker 4: Okay, I'm giving you a gift that's a classic me gift,
- 33:35Speaker 4: which is so tall, an insecure gift that's a bunch
- 33:40Speaker 4: of stuff, okay, a grab bag. Is this not okay?
- 33:44Speaker 2: That's here?
- 33:45Speaker 4: If it's not okay, I have a thing that I
- 33:47Speaker 4: want you to pull out from it.
- 33:49Speaker 2: It's okay, it's okay, Okay, it's Okayause I know that
- 33:51Speaker 2: that's cheating.
- 33:52Speaker 4: But this is the way that I give gifts with
- 33:54Speaker 4: friends is I feel insecure, and I put too much
- 33:57Speaker 4: stuff in, and I put it in like an ironic
- 33:58Speaker 4: leftover bag. This is an edible arrangements bouquet bag. I
- 34:04Speaker 4: wrote on an awards show, and Edible Arrangements sent three
- 34:07Speaker 4: arrangements that were my size and a big, beautiful bouquet
- 34:10Speaker 4: of like eighty flowers, Oh my god, and no one
- 34:13Speaker 4: touched any of it. Of course, I ate so much
- 34:15Speaker 4: fruit I almost died. And then I took home the flowers,
- 34:18Speaker 4: which were all dead.
- 34:19Speaker 2: What were the arrangements fruit? Like? What was the shape like?
- 34:23Speaker 4: I don't The shape was like a hot air balloon.
- 34:26Speaker 4: But all of it was like the wedges of it.
- 34:28Speaker 4: It wasn't like a little chunk of melon. It was
- 34:31Speaker 4: like an entire crescent of honeydew, but naked.
- 34:35Speaker 2: Interesting. I love honey honey.
- 34:37Speaker 4: Oh my god, I was dressed. I was like, these
- 34:39Speaker 4: all have to get eaten.
- 34:41Speaker 2: Was edible arrangements to funerals? God, I bet they do
- 34:46Speaker 2: have a nice fruit wreath in front of the tall
- 34:49Speaker 2: this is it's a tall in this.
- 34:54Speaker 4: Yeah, and it's great for a bouquet because you can
- 34:55Speaker 4: put water in the bottom of the bag.
- 34:57Speaker 2: Oh yeah, of course. Yeah. Okay, so we're opening it.
- 35:00Speaker 2: It's a very tall, kind of transparent bag from edible
- 35:03Speaker 2: Arrangements and with this gorgeous sage ribbon that I'm struggling
- 35:09Speaker 2: right here we go. Okay, so time does it matter?
- 35:11Speaker 1: No?
- 35:11Speaker 4: I thought we'd just play.
- 35:13Speaker 2: My arm isn't long enough to get to the bottom
- 35:15Speaker 2: of stick.
- 35:16Speaker 4: Put it on the floor and then reach it.
- 35:17Speaker 2: Does it even further away my body?
- 35:20Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 35:21Speaker 2: Does it matter which thing I bring up first? No,
- 35:23Speaker 2: it's going to be like jazz okay, of course, kind
- 35:26Speaker 2: of a jazz guy. Okay, Oh this is great. Already
- 35:30Speaker 2: we've got a beautiful uh slinky radio rainbow slinky.
- 35:35Speaker 4: I don't know when I got that, but it is
- 35:37Speaker 4: unopened new inbox. Mint condition, and I be, and I
- 35:43Speaker 4: keep it in a little pile of things for if
- 35:47Speaker 4: I have a friend with a kid who comes over.
- 35:49Speaker 4: This is my pile of children, like the.
- 35:51Speaker 2: Person you are. It's like a dentist office treasure box.
- 35:53Speaker 4: Well this is I think this is the last one
- 35:56Speaker 4: of two things.
- 35:56Speaker 2: Oh there were two objects.
- 35:58Speaker 4: Yeah, but I've lost confidence in a kid being interested
- 36:01Speaker 4: in overtime.
- 36:02Speaker 2: Now I've never seen a slinking Is this a spine
- 36:05Speaker 2: on it?
- 36:06Speaker 4: Yeah, it's it's never stuck together a little bit. Oh
- 36:08Speaker 4: it's also quite old.
- 36:09Speaker 2: Yeah, like it's like sealed. Yeah. Isn't that fun? Oh yeah,
- 36:15Speaker 2: crack the spine on that baby, careful, be careful, snatch
- 36:22Speaker 2: it out of my hands. Okay, now it's tied into them.
- 36:25Speaker 4: Oh he likes you.
- 36:28Speaker 2: This could be the rest of the episode. Is me
- 36:29Speaker 2: now being wait.
- 36:30Speaker 4: Okay, yeah, just okay, Now push the part that you
- 36:32Speaker 4: have in your right hands.
- 36:33Speaker 2: Yeah, there you go it stressful see directing? Wow where
- 36:36Speaker 2: did you oh did you can't get Where did you
- 36:39Speaker 2: get this? I don't know.
- 36:41Speaker 4: It's been in the do children like this pile for
- 36:44Speaker 4: so long? I think I got it as like there
- 36:47Speaker 4: were leftover prizes at a dunk tank or something.
- 36:49Speaker 2: I have no idea. It's beautiful. I've never seen a
- 36:53Speaker 2: rainbow slinking like I only ever see the metal ones.
- 36:57Speaker 4: Wow, those are like the historic ones.
- 37:00Speaker 2: What did you do? I broke it? No, it's just
- 37:04Speaker 2: break it. Don't you try to.
- 37:06Speaker 4: I'm just amazing.
- 37:08Speaker 2: It's like it ruined here. You can like this like this.
- 37:13Speaker 2: It's good for like a phone call. I like to
- 37:15Speaker 2: have a thing on a phone call that I can
- 37:17Speaker 2: play with, like a fidget spinner.
- 37:18Speaker 4: Like a fidget spinner, you can go like that. You
- 37:23Speaker 4: can try to get it to go downstairs. But the
- 37:25Speaker 4: small ones just do that.
- 37:26Speaker 2: They kind of just die.
- 37:27Speaker 4: They fall diacic.
- 37:28Speaker 2: Looks like it has lost its skeleton or something. Let's
- 37:31Speaker 2: see if we can do it off. I think it
- 37:33Speaker 2: fell down.
- 37:34Speaker 4: That's the cool thing about slinkies is if you drop
- 37:36Speaker 4: them off a table, they fall down.
- 37:38Speaker 2: That's why they called it that. I honestly with without stairs,
- 37:43Speaker 2: I don't really see the point of a slinking.
- 37:45Speaker 4: It's to do exactly what you're doing right now.
- 37:47Speaker 2: This is them. This is like the reason you have
- 37:49Speaker 2: a slinky is to kind of just accordion style.
- 37:52Speaker 4: Oh and you can also hold it.
- 37:53Speaker 2: Actually, a little closer to the mic so we can
- 37:55Speaker 2: get that asmr oh.
- 37:57Speaker 4: Yeah like that, yeah and also yeah, like back and
- 38:04Speaker 4: forth like like that. Well, when there's a kink in it,
- 38:06Speaker 4: it doesn't slink as much.
- 38:08Speaker 2: There's no kink in it. Yeah, I like that.
- 38:13Speaker 4: You're smiling now.
- 38:13Speaker 2: I feel I've never done this with the slinky before.
- 38:16Speaker 4: Really, that's the whole thing I've done with slinkies.
- 38:19Speaker 2: Evidently, the one thing you're supposed to do with it.
- 38:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 38:21Speaker 2: Oh, I like it a lot.
- 38:23Speaker 4: The slinkies that can go downstairs. You need the metal heft.
- 38:27Speaker 2: To do the plastics not going plastics.
- 38:29Speaker 4: It can try, but it will it'll fall.
- 38:32Speaker 2: How often are you having like a long phone call.
- 38:36Speaker 4: I'm a verbal thinker, so all the time really just
- 38:39Speaker 4: takes a.
- 38:40Speaker 2: While, Like daily you'll have multiple long for I mean no.
- 38:44Speaker 4: Like I would say, a long phone call is like
- 38:47Speaker 4: an eleven minute phone call. Oh okay, where I need
- 38:50Speaker 4: to have my hands doing something, right. Do you ever
- 38:53Speaker 4: get off a phone call and look down and you've
- 38:55Speaker 4: made like a hereditary, weird haunted like doll out of
- 38:59Speaker 4: like paper clips and like bobby pins and stuff.
- 39:03Speaker 2: I hang up and I'm like, what did I make.
- 39:06Speaker 2: I wonder it's kind of like automatic writing or something
- 39:08Speaker 2: where your brain is one place and your hand is
- 39:11Speaker 2: doing something else.
- 39:11Speaker 4: It's fucked up. The devil is working through my hands,
- 39:13Speaker 4: the devil when I'm going right, okay, yeah, yeah.
- 39:17Speaker 2: That sounds good. I like to doodle while I'm on
- 39:20Speaker 2: a long phone call. What do you?
- 39:21Speaker 4: What kind of do? What are your classic go to witch?
- 39:24Speaker 2: I love a little witch witch. Yeah, little people, various
- 39:27Speaker 2: small people.
- 39:28Speaker 4: Whole body or face.
- 39:30Speaker 2: I start with face, and then I'm not as good
- 39:32Speaker 2: with body and arms and hands. It gets harder as
- 39:36Speaker 2: you go down. But with a witch you kind of
- 39:38Speaker 2: have a like you know, a dress is not hard
- 39:41Speaker 2: to draw, A little striped legs are not hard to draw.
- 39:44Speaker 4: And the curly shoe, that's.
- 39:45Speaker 2: The curly shoes so fun. The little boot with a
- 39:47Speaker 2: heel a wizard, that's an easy one to draw.
- 39:51Speaker 4: Oh you can do that too. That's another thing. You
- 39:53Speaker 4: can go like, what the hell?
- 39:56Speaker 2: And you can also put it on your wrist like
- 39:59Speaker 2: a bracelet. I wonder if that'll fit over my hand.
- 40:01Speaker 2: Oh that looks good.
- 40:02Speaker 4: Actually, I was really scared. That was the feeling of
- 40:04Speaker 4: getting in a roller coaster seat where you're like, am
- 40:06Speaker 4: I gonna fit? This is gonna be embarrassing.
- 40:08Speaker 2: I wonder if my hands are I'm putting for.
- 40:13Speaker 4: The listener he's trying to put it on.
- 40:17Speaker 2: We're gonna have to butter up my.
- 40:18Speaker 4: Thick thumb joint. It's is a handsome feature.
- 40:23Speaker 2: Oh I guess you can kind of just cheat it.
- 40:25Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly.
- 40:26Speaker 2: Oh well, this is can fit on anyone. It's rest them.
- 40:29Speaker 2: That's not if you've got the time.
- 40:31Speaker 4: If you got the time, and it feels nice to
- 40:34Speaker 4: go like this when it's on your wrist, like move
- 40:36Speaker 4: your hand back and forth because it'll go like.
- 40:39Speaker 2: Get this on completely. This is really for you.
- 40:43Speaker 4: Look like you're from the future.
- 40:44Speaker 2: Now, Oh my god, I look so good. I'll look
- 40:46Speaker 2: at that. It looks good. Everyone loves it on me,
- 40:52Speaker 2: they do, okay, and I'm gonna use it to reach
- 40:54Speaker 2: into the bag again. Oh my god.
- 40:56Speaker 4: Okay, great.
- 40:57Speaker 2: There's so many objects in here, a lot. You're a
- 41:01Speaker 2: bad uh. I was gonna say a bad game game
- 41:04Speaker 2: is called bad Choice.
- 41:06Speaker 4: This is a a type of what's it called Cards
- 41:10Speaker 4: against Humanity type game that is a spin off that's a.
- 41:15Speaker 2: Different company, Okay, different company.
- 41:17Speaker 4: In bookstores or target. There is an entire half of
- 41:22Speaker 4: an aisle that's this kind of thing, right, and this
- 41:27Speaker 4: is like it pull out, just pull out a card.
- 41:30Speaker 4: It's called bad choices. This was given to us by selus.
- 41:34Speaker 4: It's given to us by people who love cards against humanity.
- 41:39Speaker 2: Which I'm trying to neutral. Yeah, trying? Okay, great, and
- 41:45Speaker 2: keep the party going. Okay, let's pull a card out.
- 41:48Speaker 2: This says, would you ever lie about a person to
- 41:50Speaker 2: get them fired? Sure? Yeah?
- 41:56Speaker 4: The conversation ends after are you a piece of shit?
- 42:00Speaker 4: Keep going?
- 42:01Speaker 2: I do it constantly. I found somebody who ever?
- 42:03Speaker 4: Let I need more context.
- 42:05Speaker 2: Okay, let's see here. Would you spend the night in
- 42:08Speaker 2: a full porta potty for ten thousand dollars? See, this
- 42:11Speaker 2: is where you know my attitude towards the game is
- 42:13Speaker 2: getting worse and worse.
- 42:14Speaker 4: Would you?
- 42:16Speaker 2: I would? I would spend the night like buried, like
- 42:19Speaker 2: in a coffin for twenty dollars? What are we talking about?
- 42:24Speaker 2: Sounds nice? Some quiet? It's a little float tank. Ten
- 42:30Speaker 2: thousand dollars? Ye have course?
- 42:31Speaker 4: How long is a night?
- 42:33Speaker 2: That's nothing? Which you would? Yeah? My superpower is I
- 42:38Speaker 2: don't mind porta potties? Oh interesting, I can hang with it.
- 42:41Speaker 4: I think it's the same part of me that would
- 42:42Speaker 4: want to be ripping out teeth. Oh right, most people
- 42:45Speaker 4: would hate this, and I can put up with anything.
- 42:47Speaker 2: I almost feel like it's the cleaner smell in a
- 42:49Speaker 2: porta potty that's the real problem. Yeah, that stuff.
- 42:53Speaker 4: Is how would you describe that smell?
- 42:56Speaker 2: Like the smell of a gag? Do you know what
- 42:59Speaker 2: I mean? That's it's like so, I mean, it's just
- 43:02Speaker 2: horrible industrial Okay, let's get one more out of here.
- 43:05Speaker 2: Out of bad choices the game and this is like
- 43:07Speaker 2: a wild card. Have you ever had more than eight
- 43:11Speaker 2: shots in one night? Yeah? I love These are yes
- 43:18Speaker 2: or no questions. It really is just people contending with
- 43:22Speaker 2: am i abusis shit. And then I guess like at
- 43:25Speaker 2: some point the box just goes to the side and
- 43:27Speaker 2: then everyone continue trying to make anyone looks at their feet. Yeah.
- 43:32Speaker 2: I don't know if this is how you feel about
- 43:35Speaker 2: this style of game, Cards against Humanity, whatever, where it
- 43:38Speaker 2: kind of is like trying to make you feel like
- 43:40Speaker 2: a naughty person or whatever. Yes, it's very like morning radio.
- 43:46Speaker 4: It's like it's for religious people to be like, I
- 43:50Speaker 4: can't believe I did a crazy thing last night, right,
- 43:53Speaker 4: and the crazy thing was would you kiss an ant
- 43:57Speaker 4: for a hundred donuts? You're like that was crazy?
- 44:04Speaker 2: Yeah, they And sometimes you get drawn into these, you know,
- 44:09Speaker 2: like you'll go to an event or a party or
- 44:11Speaker 2: something and someone's playing it and then the feeling for
- 44:13Speaker 2: me couldn't be worse.
- 44:17Speaker 4: The feeling for me couldn't be worse too, And the
- 44:21Speaker 4: worst part of it, the feeling is the worst when
- 44:24Speaker 4: you see the game, like the game's already on the
- 44:26Speaker 4: table and then the hand is taking the lid off
- 44:29Speaker 4: of the box, because then you know you're in.
- 44:32Speaker 2: You're for at least like six rounds, and then you
- 44:36Speaker 2: have to you can't be like a like a sore party.
- 44:40Speaker 2: What is a sour post a sore participant participant? You
- 44:44Speaker 2: don't want to be like the drag at the party.
- 44:46Speaker 2: But it's like, oh, what do you look at? You're
- 44:48Speaker 2: doing to me? This isn't who I am, And I
- 44:51Speaker 2: have to like throw myself in because I am competitive
- 44:53Speaker 2: and I'll feel bad if I lose.
- 44:55Speaker 4: Yeah, would you ever fuck a chair or.
- 44:58Speaker 2: Kiss hi? Or I'm like what it's always obviously it's
- 45:04Speaker 2: your birthday?
- 45:04Speaker 4: What are we talking about?
- 45:05Speaker 3: This?
- 45:06Speaker 2: Horrible and I would do both. I would do it.
- 45:09Speaker 4: I have to pick only one.
- 45:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I uh, there's another game that's that kind of
- 45:15Speaker 2: walk walks the line of this. I don't know if
- 45:17Speaker 2: you've ever played Quiplash, yes, which was kind of my
- 45:21Speaker 2: hell through the pandemic.
- 45:22Speaker 4: That's hard.
- 45:23Speaker 2: You know. People would be like, let's have a game
- 45:25Speaker 2: night on Zoom.
- 45:27Speaker 4: Yeah, and it's the only way you can get social.
- 45:29Speaker 2: Interaction with your friends.
- 45:31Speaker 4: But oh, that's really I happen to enjoy those games
- 45:35Speaker 4: you do. But I like playing it with other comedy
- 45:40Speaker 4: people because then it's us just writing like poop poop
- 45:42Speaker 4: peepee and that like seeing the game like flip a
- 45:46Speaker 4: thing around and it says like doodoo diarrhea likes. That's
- 45:51Speaker 4: the appeal for me. But when I'm playing with non
- 45:53Speaker 4: comedians and it's like the way that it's supposed to
- 45:56Speaker 4: be played, I feel so competitive and inane. I'm like,
- 46:01Speaker 4: I don't like I don't like who I am right.
- 46:03Speaker 2: Now, right, I'm fine with them if Yeah, everybody's on
- 46:05Speaker 2: board from the beginning of just like, let we're destroying
- 46:07Speaker 2: the game. We know what this is. Yeah, I also
- 46:11Speaker 2: don't mind one. That's mind one that's more like neutral,
- 46:13Speaker 2: like an apples to apples. Yeah, where it's like it's
- 46:19Speaker 2: just very neutral words on cards.
- 46:21Speaker 4: I also I have I don't like apples.
- 46:24Speaker 2: To as you don't like apples to apples.
- 46:25Speaker 4: Because I'm not.
- 46:26Speaker 2: Good at it.
- 46:26Speaker 4: I always get bad cards.
- 46:28Speaker 2: Every card's fine.
- 46:30Speaker 4: No, I'll get a full hand of like a truck
- 46:34Speaker 4: a dog.
- 46:35Speaker 2: Those are good.
- 46:37Speaker 4: Oh you know what I'm realizing now, I'm blaming my cards.
- 46:40Speaker 4: I'm the problem.
- 46:41Speaker 2: You're the problem.
- 46:42Speaker 4: It's what you do with them.
- 46:44Speaker 2: The cards are dealt. This is life, this is this
- 46:46Speaker 2: is life. Okay, well it should we keep going. Let's
- 46:49Speaker 2: ask one more. Let's just see why is it? Why
- 46:52Speaker 2: is every one of them? Yes? Or no? I guess
- 46:53Speaker 2: I must play into the game.
- 46:54Speaker 4: It's an end of a conversation.
- 46:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 46:56Speaker 2: Would you drink a glassful of someone else's piss for
- 46:59Speaker 2: five thousand dollars? I hate this? No, I again, I
- 47:03Speaker 2: would do it for twenty I'm very hard.
- 47:09Speaker 4: Stop overpaying me for things I would do anyway.
- 47:12Speaker 2: That I'm doing for free.
- 47:13Speaker 4: Coff, I'm annoying because I answered all of this is
- 47:18Speaker 4: like who's pits?
- 47:20Speaker 2: Right, which I think you're actually like kind of fixing
- 47:22Speaker 2: the game for that.
- 47:23Speaker 4: Big as the glass? What's the temperature of the piz right?
- 47:26Speaker 2: Whereas like the game is just asking yes or no?
- 47:29Speaker 2: You need more information a negotiation. This is but it
- 47:32Speaker 2: is seventeen plus.
- 47:34Speaker 4: Ooh yeah, that's why it's fun.
- 47:36Speaker 2: Okay, we're reaching back in. Oh, this is tasteful. This
- 47:42Speaker 2: is a sticky note folio from the Rifle Paper Company.
- 47:45Speaker 4: Yeah, give it an open.
- 47:47Speaker 2: Oh, I like this.
- 47:48Speaker 4: This is really good.
- 47:49Speaker 2: Little labels and stuff with that kind of a floral.
- 47:52Speaker 4: Little sticky notes, sticky. You can see it's still mint.
- 47:56Speaker 2: Brand brand new. Where did this come from?
- 47:59Speaker 4: I I bought three of them with the idea that
- 48:01Speaker 4: I would give them as gifts to my aunts for
- 48:03Speaker 4: Mother's Day, and then I realized that I can't follow
- 48:06Speaker 4: through on anything.
- 48:08Speaker 2: Did you give away any of them?
- 48:10Speaker 4: Maybe?
- 48:11Speaker 2: Okay? I I feel like my uh ability to schedule
- 48:16Speaker 2: and remember things has absolutely been decimated in the last year. Yeah.
- 48:21Speaker 2: Where I have things fully scheduled and I'll look at
- 48:23Speaker 2: my calendar in the morning and then do none of them?
- 48:26Speaker 2: Can fully miss therapy fully? Oh you forget? Yeah. I
- 48:32Speaker 2: think it's just like I have so much free time
- 48:34Speaker 2: at this point that.
- 48:35Speaker 4: It's just when there's something to do, you forget.
- 48:38Speaker 2: Yeah, it makes it doesn't make any sense that I
- 48:41Speaker 2: would have something to do that doesn't sound like me therapy,
- 48:47Speaker 2: I'm fine. Do you use like a Google like a Google? Yoh, yeah,
- 48:52Speaker 2: of course.
- 48:53Speaker 4: And do you put any alerts on there?
- 48:55Speaker 2: Well, here's my big problem. I don't like an alert.
- 48:58Speaker 2: I don't like to be bothered. I have my phone
- 49:00Speaker 2: on do not disturb at all times. So it's kind
- 49:03Speaker 2: of luck that I am in touch with anyone that
- 49:07Speaker 2: I remember anything. Yeah, it's all kind of on my schedule.
- 49:10Speaker 2: Even my own calendar is on my schedule or like
- 49:13Speaker 2: you know, it's like up to me whether I look
- 49:15Speaker 2: at it, and so you know, it's kind of luck
- 49:20Speaker 2: if I get something done.
- 49:21Speaker 4: Is that exciting though? Do you like the excitement?
- 49:24Speaker 3: No?
- 49:24Speaker 4: Okay, it feels bad.
- 49:25Speaker 2: Yeah, it feels hard. This is a problem you're creating,
- 49:28Speaker 2: Oh absolutely, and you're aware of it. Yes, that's I
- 49:30Speaker 2: And this is something I really don't like in other
- 49:32Speaker 2: people when I'm like, I know you're aware of the problem,
- 49:34Speaker 2: why aren't you just working on it?
- 49:36Speaker 4: I know? It's it is like when someone says I'm
- 49:38Speaker 4: having such a hard time with this thing, and then
- 49:42Speaker 4: they say or if it's like I'm having a hell
- 49:46Speaker 4: of a time fighting an apartment and you say I
- 49:48Speaker 4: can help, they're like, okay, because I need it to
- 49:51Speaker 4: be a two bedroom, I need it to be on
- 49:54Speaker 4: the Hollywood side, and it has to have a butler, and.
- 49:59Speaker 2: If it could be in San Diego, yeah, and also there.
- 50:03Speaker 4: And you're like, oh no, the problem is the goal.
- 50:08Speaker 2: Yes, and I have all I do all of these things,
- 50:12Speaker 2: and yet I, oh, yeah, I don't try to fix them.
- 50:15Speaker 2: Are you good with scheduling?
- 50:17Speaker 4: I am not, And I think I'm one of those
- 50:20Speaker 4: people who's bad with scheduling. And so I put everything
- 50:23Speaker 4: in the Google calendar, right, But that then means that
- 50:28Speaker 4: if I don't put it in, it doesn't exist.
- 50:31Speaker 3: Right.
- 50:31Speaker 2: That's the thing I used to be. Yeah, and now
- 50:33Speaker 2: I've kind of become both where nothing ever exists, Apparently.
- 50:38Speaker 4: Nothing ever exists. Apparently it's so tough. It's a good podcast.
- 50:42Speaker 2: Nothing ever exists. Apparently that could be a good like
- 50:45Speaker 2: not true crime, but the mystery genre, mystery poetry, mystery
- 50:50Speaker 2: poetry podcast. Wow, this is very good, though, I think
- 50:54Speaker 2: little reminders maybe it'll help. Physical reminders is a good
- 50:58Speaker 2: way back, I think to schedule. Yeah, right, big time,
- 51:02Speaker 2: big time.
- 51:02Speaker 4: A notebook? A notebook with two things written on the
- 51:06Speaker 4: first two pages and then completely empty.
- 51:08Speaker 2: Is that how you journal?
- 51:10Speaker 4: Do you journal the amount I do? And it is shameful.
- 51:14Speaker 4: I'll I'll go through like eight months of doing it
- 51:17Speaker 4: and then five years. Not right, but the shame of
- 51:20Speaker 4: having a planner or a notebook where it's like the
- 51:24Speaker 4: first two pages are filled in and the rest is playing.
- 51:26Speaker 2: Oh yeah, so what happened to my life? Sucks? Have
- 51:29Speaker 2: you missed any big events because of scheduling.
- 51:32Speaker 4: All the time? I will say there was one example
- 51:36Speaker 4: where it wasn't my fault, where my agent asked me,
- 51:40Speaker 4: this is years ago, if I would do a college
- 51:43Speaker 4: show in Maine, okay? And I said, yeah, I'm available,
- 51:47Speaker 4: And then I didn't hear back. And then on the
- 51:49Speaker 4: day the agent assistant called me and was like, hey,
- 51:54Speaker 4: just wanted to check and make sure you're on your
- 51:56Speaker 4: way to rule mail. Oh no, I was like, what
- 51:59Speaker 4: the fuck is up? Just in my house?
- 52:01Speaker 2: Oh?
- 52:02Speaker 4: And then I had to fly into a different city
- 52:04Speaker 4: in Maine. I guess it didn't have.
- 52:05Speaker 2: To, but I wanted to sure it was.
- 52:08Speaker 4: I was in such a panic that I didn't realize
- 52:10Speaker 4: that it was not my fault because I just like,
- 52:13Speaker 4: I'm always confused. So I had to fly into a
- 52:15Speaker 4: different city in Maine because there were no other flights
- 52:18Speaker 4: available at that time to get there for the flight,
- 52:20Speaker 4: and then I took a two hour uber.
- 52:23Speaker 2: How much did it cost to get there?
- 52:24Speaker 4: I think the flight was like two hundred dollars and
- 52:27Speaker 4: then the uber was one hundred and eighty or something,
- 52:30Speaker 4: and then I probably got like maybe fifteen hundred dollars
- 52:34Speaker 4: for the show.
- 52:35Speaker 2: Wasn't you made it out a little bit?
- 52:37Speaker 4: Yeah, it wasn't a good deal. But the woman who
- 52:41Speaker 4: drove me told me that she used to work in
- 52:43Speaker 4: nursing homes and she quit because the staff, the staff
- 52:47Speaker 4: at all nursing homes aren't very abusive to the patients.
- 52:50Speaker 2: Oh, I think that happens more often than you think.
- 52:53Speaker 4: I was like, I'm so glad that we have two
- 52:56Speaker 4: hours to really dig into this.
- 52:58Speaker 2: I worked at a retirement home in the dining room.
- 53:01Speaker 4: What did you do there?
- 53:02Speaker 2: I was a waiter and a lot of the residents
- 53:04Speaker 2: would lie about having diabetes in order to get the
- 53:06Speaker 2: diabetic ice cream. That's that was the big secret. Why
- 53:09Speaker 2: did they want that? Because they didn't want the desert
- 53:11Speaker 2: of the day, because it was usually worse than diabetic
- 53:13Speaker 2: ice cream.
- 53:15Speaker 4: That sounds bad. I must have loved you. I measure
- 53:19Speaker 4: being an old person and you're the waiter.
- 53:21Speaker 2: I can't say one way or the other. I will
- 53:23Speaker 2: say at the time I had pretty long hair, and
- 53:24Speaker 2: a lot of them just thought I was a woman.
- 53:26Speaker 2: For the probably the first two weeks, They're like, who's
- 53:28Speaker 2: this sweet young lady? And then we slowly learned, and
- 53:30Speaker 2: then some of them didn't, and we just worked worked
- 53:33Speaker 2: through it.
- 53:34Speaker 4: Most people, I think probably like talking to you.
- 53:39Speaker 2: That's very nice.
- 53:40Speaker 4: I think it's true.
- 53:41Speaker 2: It's calm, it's very sweet. I don't know.
- 53:43Speaker 4: If I were a rehabbed owl and you came towards
- 53:47Speaker 4: my creat I wouldn't go on the corner.
- 53:51Speaker 2: I just maybe I'll start an owl rescue.
- 53:54Speaker 4: Maybe maybe keep going getting back in here.
- 53:59Speaker 2: This is a full destroyed book. I've never heard of this.
- 54:02Speaker 4: It'sanaslavsky system.
- 54:04Speaker 2: Yeah, this is a system of acting. It is.
- 54:06Speaker 4: Yeah, this is like the big one.
- 54:08Speaker 2: How have I never heard of this one?
- 54:10Speaker 4: It's Danaslavsky. I don't know. That's so the main one
- 54:12Speaker 4: this is from college. We had to get it.
- 54:14Speaker 2: Where did you go to school? Why you okay, Well,
- 54:17Speaker 2: I mean.
- 54:19Speaker 4: The Harvard of the South.
- 54:21Speaker 1: Uh.
- 54:22Speaker 4: Yeah, this is a must have acting.
- 54:24Speaker 2: Book and you've really gotten into it.
- 54:26Speaker 4: Yeah, it's water damaged. I hope nothing's highlighted. I just
- 54:30Speaker 4: wanted you to have it in case you wanted to.
- 54:32Speaker 2: I want to see if you highlighted anything.
- 54:34Speaker 4: Do iret my name and phone number in the front?
- 54:37Speaker 2: I didn't do that.
- 54:38Speaker 4: No, this I've been through it. Yeah, it's a lot
- 54:40Speaker 4: of acting as if like, what's your character motivation? Actually,
- 54:47Speaker 4: I was like, I don't know if I can give
- 54:48Speaker 4: this away because.
- 54:48Speaker 2: What if I become what if you forget about it
- 54:51Speaker 2: really hot and they need me. Let's see, you didn't
- 54:53Speaker 2: highlight anything, so I don't think you really cared to learn. Oh,
- 54:57Speaker 2: let's see more. Just that kind of facts. These aren't
- 55:02Speaker 2: that interesting thing?
- 55:03Speaker 4: Can you read one?
- 55:03Speaker 2: Uh? Let's see on stage. An actor's senses are often
- 55:08Speaker 2: prone to paralysis because of the break in natural psychophysical behavior.
- 55:12Speaker 2: The actor then loses the feeling of real life and
- 55:14Speaker 2: forgets how to do the simplest things that he does
- 55:16Speaker 2: not naturally and spontaneously do. In life. Hmm ring any
- 55:22Speaker 2: bells remind you of anyone? Did you major in acting?
- 55:29Speaker 2: I did? Oh, I didn't know that.
- 55:31Speaker 4: I have a college degree in acting.
- 55:33Speaker 2: And it can we apply to almost anything. It can, yeah,
- 55:37Speaker 2: sort of action.
- 55:38Speaker 4: It's always shocking when something from the acting degree.
- 55:42Speaker 2: Is helpful in other areas.
- 55:44Speaker 4: You mean, like in like writing or whatever.
- 55:46Speaker 2: Oh sure, sure, it's like, huh I went.
- 55:50Speaker 4: To goofball school.
- 55:51Speaker 2: I can't believe. Can you think of anything specifically like? Uh?
- 55:55Speaker 4: No, no, I guess, like uh character, like the idea
- 56:00Speaker 4: of having a character biography.
- 56:02Speaker 2: Oh sure sure it's like.
- 56:03Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I spent three weeks building out like I'm
- 56:06Speaker 4: an abusive old woman who lives in an attic and
- 56:11Speaker 4: I'm gonna write my favorite food where I grew up.
- 56:16Speaker 4: Yeah that's a bad example, but I guess I guess
- 56:20Speaker 4: it has never happened. I just wanted you to have it.
- 56:23Speaker 4: I'm worried that there's too much stuff in the bad No.
- 56:25Speaker 2: I feel like we're almost done. Okay, and we've actually
- 56:28Speaker 2: received more idents on this podcast. Oh good, Okay, I
- 56:31Speaker 2: like not to well, actually, now that I'm saying maybe not.
- 56:34Speaker 4: Yeah no, oh yeah. So there's a couple of press
- 56:39Speaker 4: on nails. Never, it's called never ever ever look at
- 56:42Speaker 4: that and you can stick control. Just to try. I
- 56:45Speaker 4: bought a bunch of press on nails for a thing
- 56:47Speaker 4: and then I was started to panic.
- 56:50Speaker 2: I was like, which one is right? And then I
- 56:52Speaker 2: didn't return them. Oh sure, And when I see them
- 56:56Speaker 2: in my house, I feel like a stupid idiot. Where
- 57:00Speaker 2: are you storing all of this stuff.
- 57:01Speaker 4: In little plastic bins in the only closet in the house,
- 57:06Speaker 4: and a bin that's labeled travel.
- 57:10Speaker 2: The press on nails were in travel Travel has a
- 57:13Speaker 2: lot of room in it. Sure, and this is technically
- 57:16Speaker 2: weddings corporate events.
- 57:19Speaker 4: Let me show you what it would look like. Does
- 57:21Speaker 4: this look great?
- 57:22Speaker 2: Yes?
- 57:23Speaker 4: This does this look like my hand?
- 57:27Speaker 2: Absolutely? If you had shown up today with those nails,
- 57:31Speaker 2: I wouldn't have beat an eye.
- 57:32Speaker 4: I panic and go who am I before? I get
- 57:35Speaker 4: dressed every time, and this this day was a bad one.
- 57:39Speaker 4: There's more. There's three more in there.
- 57:41Speaker 2: And then we've got some multi action super CSPF which
- 57:46Speaker 2: expire February of last year.
- 57:50Speaker 4: I bought that at Costco in to two BAC never
- 57:51Speaker 4: used it once, not neither of them.
- 57:54Speaker 2: The other one is used but I think it's uh,
- 57:57Speaker 2: let's now in box.
- 58:00Speaker 4: That's also from the travel box, because there is room
- 58:02Speaker 4: in travel.
- 58:03Speaker 2: What is I've never used a vitamin sea moisturizer. Is
- 58:06Speaker 2: that supposed to like burn your skin off it?
- 58:08Speaker 1: No?
- 58:09Speaker 4: It puts it on. It puts the more on.
- 58:11Speaker 2: What is vitamin C supposed to do to your skin?
- 58:13Speaker 4: Make it good?
- 58:14Speaker 2: Keep digging, Come on, people, people are almost done folding
- 58:18Speaker 2: their laundry. There's so many things this is. Look at this.
- 58:26Speaker 4: Okay.
- 58:27Speaker 2: Yep.
- 58:28Speaker 4: Those I put in my suitcase every time I travel,
- 58:30Speaker 4: just in case, and they're old.
- 58:32Speaker 2: Have they been used? No? I guess you can only
- 58:35Speaker 2: use these ones. People, you know, take them.
- 58:38Speaker 4: Off and put them back on them are resourceful.
- 58:40Speaker 2: From the Sephora collection.
- 58:42Speaker 3: Yep.
- 58:43Speaker 2: Then we've got a I dine.
- 58:45Speaker 4: When I thought they might nuclear war, I bought in
- 58:47Speaker 4: a five pack.
- 58:48Speaker 2: Do these expire? They better not expired? No?
- 58:54Speaker 4: I bought them like five months ago.
- 58:56Speaker 2: Oh expires in twenty thirty four.
- 58:57Speaker 4: Oh thank god.
- 58:58Speaker 2: So we definitely have to have a nuclear or more
- 59:00Speaker 2: before then. Waste. Yeah, what a waste of money.
- 59:03Speaker 4: Then I have to eat them all at.
- 59:04Speaker 2: Once if there isn't some level of nuclear winter in
- 59:07Speaker 2: the next what nine years, we can do it. I
- 59:13Speaker 2: feel I feel like we have yeah, got the come on,
- 59:16Speaker 2: the power and the beliefs.
- 59:18Speaker 4: It's also like I realized, like, what's the plan When
- 59:20Speaker 4: I run out? I just turn into Google.
- 59:22Speaker 2: You had a great time.
- 59:25Speaker 4: What's the point of extending?
- 59:27Speaker 2: Like, what's the point in two weeks or something?
- 59:29Speaker 4: Nuclear famously doesn't go away by that amount of bottle.
- 59:32Speaker 2: Yeah, these bottles should be huge.
- 59:35Speaker 4: It came in a five pack on Amazon. It made
- 59:37Speaker 4: it look huge, and then they showed up and were tiny.
- 59:39Speaker 2: I was like, okay, yeah, that's like for like a
- 59:42Speaker 2: quick like a nuclear weekend. That's not that's where like.
- 59:46Speaker 4: I shouldn't.
- 59:49Speaker 2: But I will.
- 59:49Speaker 4: I'm yeah. And that also was in the travel bit.
- 59:54Speaker 2: That's travel worthy. I would say, just in case more tips.
- 59:59Speaker 2: These are alway for chill tips.
- 1:00:01Speaker 4: I'm sorry, so no, So the chill tips were the
- 1:00:04Speaker 4: ones I ended up wearing. Oh right, and they were.
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: The yellow ones, And that's a chill tips brand. I
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: don't like chill tips. Chill tips and this one's called
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: the never have I Ever.
- 1:00:13Speaker 4: Yeah, they're both kind of like want you to think
- 1:00:15Speaker 4: about hand jobs.
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: Yeah, keep going, okay, setting this all up more from
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: the travel, more press on, more pressed on?
- 1:00:27Speaker 4: Does that never have every These.
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: Are never had by ever with a It's like a
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: pink with a cheetah print.
- 1:00:34Speaker 4: Cheata print. I was panicking. I was like, am I
- 1:00:38Speaker 4: who do I? Whose hands are these going on?
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: And you had I mean they're all over the place.
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: You really had no idea.
- 1:00:45Speaker 4: It was for the sn L fiftieth.
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: Okay, that's a confusing, and I never know.
- 1:00:50Speaker 4: I never know how to be in a room right
- 1:00:53Speaker 4: with other people in general.
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: And that was like, what steaks are kind of hot.
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: I have to just.
- 1:00:59Speaker 4: Become a different person in order to get through whatever.
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: What did you end up wearing?
- 1:01:05Speaker 4: I wore a bridesmaid's dress with a leather jacket, great
- 1:01:09Speaker 4: and yellow press on nails that I glued on my
- 1:01:12Speaker 4: fingers in thirty rock while watching the show.
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: Did you get any compliments?
- 1:01:17Speaker 4: I don't think so. And I just kept hurting myself.
- 1:01:21Speaker 4: If you hit the tip of the back of it
- 1:01:23Speaker 4: on something, it like hurts, it pulls up your little guy.
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: These. Yes, that feels like if you got them done professionally,
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: they would be on so much.
- 1:01:32Speaker 4: Well, it's not gonna It's just like a little yank.
- 1:01:34Speaker 4: It's not. It wouldn't pull your finger off.
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: Well maybe depending on your diet and general health.
- 1:01:41Speaker 4: It comes back to who's pisses this?
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: Yeah, who's pisses this? Keeep gone?
- 1:01:46Speaker 4: Come on? Also from the travel.
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: Then tissue tissue. There's only one thing.
- 1:01:50Speaker 4: Let throw the tissue on there. It really Oh my god,
- 1:01:52Speaker 4: I'm excited for this.
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: In who Let's sit here, it's it says I needed tension.
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: It's a button that says I need attention.
- 1:02:02Speaker 4: But that says I need attention.
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: State Mutual Savings.
- 1:02:05Speaker 4: I got that in an estate sale a few years ago,
- 1:02:08Speaker 4: and I was like, I need to give this to
- 1:02:09Speaker 4: someone who's funny and stylish, because I think it's actually nice.
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: This is There was a I feel like a period
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: probably between nineteen sixty nine and nineteen eighty seven. I
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: would say that feels like a period when buttons like
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: this were getting made and they looked hard and they
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: had things right that were like kind of funny but
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: not trying too hard, yes, and anyone could wear them
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: any You're so almost anyone could wear a button during
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: that period.
- 1:02:36Speaker 4: Almost anyone these days these days, you really it's like
- 1:02:40Speaker 4: it's just the town.
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: Docked one in a million. It's able to wear a button.
- 1:02:45Speaker 4: Yeah, So this is an assembly of things from the
- 1:02:47Speaker 4: travel bin, things that I bought with the idea of
- 1:02:51Speaker 4: I'll give it to someone and then kept not doing it.
- 1:02:54Speaker 4: And I somehow see that button eight times a day.
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: I love this button and.
- 1:03:00Speaker 4: Things that, uh it's it's stuff I don't use that
- 1:03:05Speaker 4: I feel I can't throw away.
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: Right, that's almost everything for me. Yeah, if I spent
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: money on it, it does not matter if it has
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: any value in my life. If it's getting in the way,
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: I'm keeping it. I will carry it around like Jacob
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: Marley with the chains that he built in life link
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: by link, and I'm like.
- 1:03:23Speaker 4: This is my bird. I bought this chill tips and
- 1:03:28Speaker 4: I will carry for the rest of my life as punishment.
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: Right now, something I didn't even buy myself. My dad
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: accidentally sent me two massive boxes of industrial sized garbage
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: bags from Costco. He was trying to send them to himself,
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: and they've been in my car for well I've bet
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: I've talked about on this podcast, probably over a year ago.
- 1:03:48Speaker 4: Industrial size meaning like a big barrel, like a big.
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: Cbetaria, big enough probably to fit inside a like, you know,
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: like your la garbage can, so I can't be used
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: in the home, you know, I can't just put in
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: my kitchen garbage pan.
- 1:03:59Speaker 4: Wow, who's lining their outdoor trash bin? That's impressive.
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: Somebody who doesn't like smell.
- 1:04:04Speaker 4: I guess they respect themselves a lot.
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: Yeah, but yeah, I'm holding onto everything. Did you go
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: to the state sales a lot?
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: No?
- 1:04:11Speaker 4: My friend Amy is in a state sale queen and
- 1:04:14Speaker 4: she finds great stuff. Whenever I went into a phase
- 1:04:18Speaker 4: and really liked it because I like little dude ads
- 1:04:20Speaker 4: and nickknacks. Sure, the issue is I now have buckets
- 1:04:22Speaker 4: of little craps like I need attention that I do
- 1:04:26Speaker 4: love that should go to someone as.
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: A gift, right, and today was your turn. It's like
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: a people museum. It's like a museum. I like, Yeah,
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: I love going into a house that I wouldn't be
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: allowed in any other circumstances. I rarely buy anything. I'll
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: buy like a trinket.
- 1:04:43Speaker 4: I now enjoy thrift stores and a state sales way
- 1:04:46Speaker 4: more knowing that I don't have to buy anything.
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: Oh interesting, It's just it's a thing to go and do.
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: This is me completely, This is literally me with a
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: grocery store. You like to go and visit the I
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: love to just walk around and visit the food. My friend,
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: the food high food.
- 1:05:04Speaker 4: Do you have a favorite food, a favorite isle? What
- 1:05:06Speaker 4: do you like to look at?
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: I don't have a favorite isle. Every isle has something
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: new for me to look at. I would say the
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: things that have the most turnover are like the snacks
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: and cookies for sure. Because Oreo has a new flavor
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: every thirty to forty seconds.
- 1:05:19Speaker 4: They're very attention grabby.
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: I mean, give them this button. I mean they're desperate,
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: the Oreo people are. It's sad, Dawn. We already like
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: you if we liked the first one. You don't have
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: to do any of this. I mean, like truly, seventy
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: flavors ago, they were out of good flavors, and now
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: it just feels like somebody that's like, oh, what's next
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: for your life? You're in a bad place. Banana. No
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: one likes a banana candy. I think there's a Selena Gomez.
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: Are you like a banana candy?
- 1:05:51Speaker 4: I do, but yeah, I was like, who is it
- 1:05:53Speaker 4: to me?
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: More?
- 1:05:55Speaker 4: I'm one hundred years old.
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: You like a banana runt?
- 1:06:00Speaker 4: I like love a banana runt. Oh, that's when I save.
- 1:06:02Speaker 4: I like a banana laffy. Daffy comes with a smile.
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: It's nice to know that there is somebody that they're
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: making them for. Yeah, I'm the one. You're the person.
- 1:06:09Speaker 4: Sorry, I do that.
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: I haven't had a runt in a long time. And
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: I love that texture. Oh yeah, it's like eating a bead.
- 1:06:17Speaker 4: I love putting beads in my mouth. I love plastic
- 1:06:21Speaker 4: in my mouth. And then I found out about micropot.
- 1:06:23Speaker 4: It is like eating a bead.
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: It's very much like eating a little bead.
- 1:06:26Speaker 4: And it's an exciting moment because it's like there's a
- 1:06:29Speaker 4: chance if I bite down hard enough, I'll split my
- 1:06:31Speaker 4: skull open. This could this could be.
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: It for a split second of banana. That's that's what
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: you're putting on the line.
- 1:06:41Speaker 4: It's a rush.
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: Yeah, it's an absolute rush. I don't even know if
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: they sell runts anymore. I should look into it. Well,
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: is there anything left to say about this enormous pile
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: of goods.
- 1:06:51Speaker 4: It's a relief to have it out of the house.
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: Thank you so much for kind of pouring it on.
- 1:06:55Speaker 4: Yeah, thank you so much to help me out. I
- 1:06:59Speaker 4: keep being like I'll put it on the curb and
- 1:07:00Speaker 4: put a post on buy nothing Burban, right, And then
- 1:07:03Speaker 4: even that.
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: Is like that's hard.
- 1:07:04Speaker 4: You're not supposed to just do flash gibs.
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: You can, but oh, I didn't know you couldn't do that.
- 1:07:08Speaker 4: You can, Okay, it's not the spirit of the.
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: Group, right. It needs to be more intentional.
- 1:07:14Speaker 4: You should post it individually with photos.
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: It should be. The admins are.
- 1:07:18Speaker 4: Constantly tagging everyone in the group to add another role
- 1:07:22Speaker 4: and I'm scared of the group. So yeah, but I
- 1:07:26Speaker 4: can't throw it out and I can't really donate it.
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: The standards for buy Nothing are way higher than I expected.
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: Just getting into my group was a huge pain. You
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: have to say, like it's like who you are Almoso,
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: like a background.
- 1:07:37Speaker 4: Check a thousand percent. It's like there's nothing in my
- 1:07:41Speaker 4: neighborhood that's so awesome that people are trying to get.
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: In, right, Yeah, And like I feel like they knew
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: better about where I live within Los Angeles than I do.
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: I think I gave them the wrong information about where
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: I live and they're like, you don't live there, find
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: out where you live and come back what is your zone? Ide?
- 1:07:58Speaker 4: Like what is I have to look at of surveyor's
- 1:08:01Speaker 4: map to get into this.
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: And I have not given away or taken anything from
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: the group, So why am I in it?
- 1:08:07Speaker 4: I don't you like to look?
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: I know I like to belong you. I like to belong.
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: Was looking to belong. Let's play a game. Okay, we're
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: gonna play a game called Gift you a Curse. But
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: I need a number between one and ten from you. Nine. Okay.
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: I have to do some light calculating to get our
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: game pieces. So right now, you can promote, recommend, do
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: whatever you want. I'll be right back. I would like
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: to say that you're doing great, all of you out there,
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: and you should feel nice and give yourself a hug
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: and hear me. I've never I don't think i've ever
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: seenized on this podcast. Interesting. What's in this bag?
- 1:08:50Speaker 4: Oh? Got a big dust?
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:08:54Speaker 4: Probably the travel bind does not get rifled through often
- 1:08:57Speaker 4: or not.
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: I wasn't listening. Did you promote or recommend? No?
- 1:09:02Speaker 4: I panicked you guys said a prayer.
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: Do you have anything to promote right now? Yourself?
- 1:09:07Speaker 4: Myself, my brand?
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: You're on Instagram? Oh and you have the other services? Really?
- 1:09:16Speaker 4: My Instagram is pictures of my dogs.
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: Sure, have you enjoyed anything recently enjoyed? Yeah, that's not
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: of your own?
- 1:09:26Speaker 4: Like shows and stuff.
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: Whatever, movie, food, music, movie TV.
- 1:09:31Speaker 4: Why can't I think of one thing?
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: Because it's a horrible question. It is, it will erase
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: your mind.
- 1:09:37Speaker 4: I yeah, I rewatched Hereditary the other day to treat it,
- 1:09:41Speaker 4: and I watched the last thirty minutes on mute. Oh sure,
- 1:09:44Speaker 4: she's have really taken the choices?
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: Did you see bring her back?
- 1:09:48Speaker 4: No?
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: I feel like Hereditary? I mean, who I'm.
- 1:09:52Speaker 4: Gonna I'm going to race out of the studio, go home,
- 1:09:54Speaker 4: close every window, and angle the TV away from any surface.
- 1:09:58Speaker 4: It is noon, not a good time I watch movie.
- 1:10:00Speaker 4: I cannot wait to get home and put it on.
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: Did you see talk to Me? I did? You didn't?
- 1:10:05Speaker 2: You didn't like talk to me?
- 1:10:06Speaker 4: It didn't It didn't get me. Okay, it's not that
- 1:10:10Speaker 4: I didn't get it. It didn't give me. No, I
- 1:10:12Speaker 4: liked it. I liked Yeah, it was a cool thing
- 1:10:15Speaker 4: that I've never really seen a horror movie do. Where
- 1:10:17Speaker 4: like everyone immediately is like cool, we're talking to ghosts. No,
- 1:10:21Speaker 4: One's like that's not real.
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: What are you doing?
- 1:10:23Speaker 4: Everyone was immediately on board.
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: Okay, I wonder how you feel. And this is the
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: same people, the same character.
- 1:10:29Speaker 4: I'll have to look, but.
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: I think you'll probably like it better.
- 1:10:32Speaker 4: Was it as bleak as talked to me?
- 1:10:34Speaker 2: It's I mean, I think it is the bleakest thing
- 1:10:37Speaker 2: I've ever seen.
- 1:10:38Speaker 4: Was it mean mean bleak? Mean mean sad?
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: No, it's not mean.
- 1:10:42Speaker 4: I found talk to me to be mean sad.
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: No, I would say this is like just sad, just
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: so dark and sad.
- 1:10:50Speaker 4: That sounds great. Does a dog get hurt?
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: I can't remember if any animals get hurt? I don't.
- 1:10:55Speaker 4: This is the thing I want to promote is I
- 1:10:57Speaker 4: don't do anything with them. But there's a site, an
- 1:11:00Speaker 4: app called does the Dog Die?
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: Oh, that's a good thing to download.
- 1:11:03Speaker 4: Premium version I think is ten dollars a year, and
- 1:11:07Speaker 4: any movie or TV show And it's not just dog dying,
- 1:11:10Speaker 4: it's does a dragon feel sad?
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: Sure?
- 1:11:13Speaker 4: Our fingernails ripped off? You can put in anything that's
- 1:11:16Speaker 4: either triggering or upsetting. Because if I see a movie
- 1:11:19Speaker 4: where a dog is confused about being abandoned, I actually
- 1:11:22Speaker 4: have to go to the hospital. It's debilitating and I
- 1:11:26Speaker 4: am now I've gotten a little bit better. But it's
- 1:11:28Speaker 4: really nice because you can see like, okay, yeah, in
- 1:11:30Speaker 4: this episode of Suernobyl from minute thirty, I just skipped that.
- 1:11:37Speaker 4: That's another frequent rewatch for me because amazing explaining grave things.
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: It's so I loved it.
- 1:11:44Speaker 4: It's perfect. But iodine.
- 1:11:45Speaker 2: That's how they say right, they say antibiotic, antibiotic or something.
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: There's like the way you say it with a British accent.
- 1:11:56Speaker 2: Is anytime I've ever heard it, I've thought, wait, I
- 1:11:59Speaker 2: don't know what you're sing saying to me.
- 1:12:00Speaker 4: We're going to find out.
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: Doesn't matter.
- 1:12:03Speaker 4: I really like it. Jared Harrison Runtkin. It's a measure
- 1:12:10Speaker 4: of right right.
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: I love him. I loved him in mad Men.
- 1:12:16Speaker 4: And Everything, put him in all the things I'm here
- 1:12:18Speaker 4: to promote.
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: Jared.
- 1:12:20Speaker 4: I am too, who never stops working. He doesn't need it.
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: He needs the help, Jared, reach out, reach out. This
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: is how we play gift or a curse. I'm going
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: to name three things. You'll tell me if there are
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: a gift or a curse, and why then don't tell
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: if you're right or wrong, because there are correct answers.
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: Oh great, so you can loose I love that look
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: forward to it. Okay, the first one is from an
- 1:12:39Speaker 2: unknown listener who knows where this came from. But it
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: was a listener, and we do appreciate you despite me,
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: either forgetting to put your name down or getting lost
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: in transactor, lost in translation gift or a curse public
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: Venmo transactions gift.
- 1:12:55Speaker 4: Why, Oh, it's so personal. It's like a girl I
- 1:13:01Speaker 4: knew from improv who married rich is paying her babysitter
- 1:13:08Speaker 4: with a date Saturday for Saturday. Oh the ephemera A
- 1:13:18Speaker 4: man I dated for.
- 1:13:19Speaker 2: One moment.
- 1:13:21Speaker 4: Paying utilities to a woman who has this same last name.
- 1:13:25Speaker 4: His wife took his name, but he's chipping in for utilities.
- 1:13:31Speaker 2: Correct gift. I don't participate. I refuse to participate, and
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: I feel like it is an opt in, which is
- 1:13:39Speaker 2: always a little confusing for me.
- 1:13:41Speaker 4: Interesting, Oh, I have it, so it's opt out, like
- 1:13:45Speaker 4: you have to opt to make it private.
- 1:13:47Speaker 2: I feel like I've never been asked and I've always
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: been private.
- 1:13:50Speaker 4: Oh maybe it's a setting.
- 1:13:52Speaker 2: Because it feels like it should be backwards. Don't you
- 1:13:55Speaker 2: think like it shouldn't be private, it should be public,
- 1:13:58Speaker 2: and you turn on private.
- 1:14:00Speaker 4: I feel that that's what I have.
- 1:14:02Speaker 2: And you're currently public or you've turned I actually don't know.
- 1:14:06Speaker 4: I think sometimes it's public and someone is private.
- 1:14:08Speaker 2: This is why a worry for me. I'm like, I
- 1:14:09Speaker 2: think I'm private, But am I like this loser from
- 1:14:12Speaker 2: high school that's paying his mom for pizza or whatever?
- 1:14:15Speaker 2: Do you know what I mean? I don't want to
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: be my name like people seeing my petty transactions.
- 1:14:20Speaker 4: I love seeing them, and not even in a mean way.
- 1:14:23Speaker 4: I'm like, it's beautiful. It's like ephemera. It's a torn
- 1:14:27Speaker 4: corner of a birthday card from the eighteen hundreds.
- 1:14:30Speaker 2: Well, I don't mind seeing them. I just don't want
- 1:14:31Speaker 2: to know anyone.
- 1:14:33Speaker 4: There are times where I feel a little bit exhibitionist
- 1:14:35Speaker 4: and I'm like, I want them to see that. I
- 1:14:38Speaker 4: went to dinner with one of my closest friends.
- 1:14:43Speaker 2: And they demanded eighteen dollars. Yeah, yeah, okay, you got
- 1:14:47Speaker 2: one right so far? Thank you. The second one is
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: from two different Patreon listeners. They both submitted a similar thing.
- 1:14:53Speaker 2: Patricia and Sophia thank you gift to a curse when
- 1:14:57Speaker 2: watching a cooking show slash video and the person says
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: Jarlick for jarred garlic curse.
- 1:15:04Speaker 4: Why I've never heard of that, and I don't like
- 1:15:09Speaker 4: the way it sounds.
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: And apparently it's happening a lot, because it's getting submitted
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: by multiple people. Jarlick jar lick.
- 1:15:16Speaker 4: And this is a cooking video. So we're looking at
- 1:15:19Speaker 4: sort of like what are the bone appetite stuff? And
- 1:15:23Speaker 4: someone says, jarl like, a jar of garlic is a curse?
- 1:15:26Speaker 4: You think so, yeah, because it's the it's a bad color,
- 1:15:30Speaker 4: the colors bad. The color is so different from regular
- 1:15:33Speaker 4: you open a garlic, And I don't like the way
- 1:15:37Speaker 4: that the word jarli sounds. We do have frozen garlic,
- 1:15:40Speaker 4: like Trader Joe's will sell those like little tiny ice
- 1:15:43Speaker 4: cube trays farlic farlic that sounds wonderful. That sounds like
- 1:15:49Speaker 4: a folk character. What's the Did I get it right?
- 1:15:55Speaker 2: The answer is it's an it's a curse. Okay, good
- 1:15:59Speaker 2: have you'd have been so I don't think jarlck it's
- 1:16:01Speaker 2: not necessary. It's actually it's more confusing because now we
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: have to learn a new word for a thing that
- 1:16:07Speaker 2: is very When you say jarred garlic, you know what
- 1:16:10Speaker 2: that is?
- 1:16:11Speaker 4: Jarred garlic.
- 1:16:13Speaker 2: Now that we're even saying, I don't I feel like
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: I'm losing grasp of the English language.
- 1:16:17Speaker 4: I feel like I've never heard.
- 1:16:18Speaker 2: A word before jarred garlic.
- 1:16:21Speaker 4: Hearing the two people said that thing where Jarlick makes
- 1:16:25Speaker 4: me feel out of touch, like a loser, like I've
- 1:16:28Speaker 4: been in a coma for three years. What's happening with
- 1:16:31Speaker 4: culture that I don't know that. Sophia and Patricia, they're
- 1:16:36Speaker 4: in a group that's most people, and I'm all the
- 1:16:40Speaker 4: way over here.
- 1:16:40Speaker 2: This is my entire experience. I was just talking about this.
- 1:16:43Speaker 2: I feel like there's a newsletter that goes out to
- 1:16:45Speaker 2: ninety nine percent of the population that I just didn't
- 1:16:47Speaker 2: get signed up for. And I'll be like, wait, everyone
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: knows this, and they knew it immediately, and they're acting
- 1:16:53Speaker 2: like I should have known it about it six months ago.
- 1:16:55Speaker 4: Well, you have your phone on, do not disturb. You're free.
- 1:16:58Speaker 2: But I don't feel free, all right? I want to
- 1:17:01Speaker 2: be I'm desperate for attention to Maybe.
- 1:17:06Speaker 4: Maybe you and I will hold hands and pray out
- 1:17:08Speaker 4: at the end of this and we'll try to become
- 1:17:10Speaker 4: included more.
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: So we'll like, you know about the next jar Lick.
- 1:17:16Speaker 4: Yeah, I want to see it come in. I don't
- 1:17:17Speaker 4: want to get hit in the side of the.
- 1:17:18Speaker 2: Head with another jar. I couldn't handle it.
- 1:17:21Speaker 4: No, it's I'm one jar lick away from a.
- 1:17:23Speaker 2: Rubber room, all right. This third one is from another
- 1:17:27Speaker 2: Patreon person, an a gift or a curse. Salt life
- 1:17:31Speaker 2: car stickers.
- 1:17:33Speaker 4: Oh, like a bumper sticker that says salt life and
- 1:17:36Speaker 4: it's like surf people saying that.
- 1:17:38Speaker 2: I guess that's always been my assumption. That's what it is.
- 1:17:41Speaker 4: I'm I'm smiling. I think it's a gift. I like
- 1:17:44Speaker 4: knowing that people surf because that's so involved. I never
- 1:17:50Speaker 4: we occupy completely different areas and they like their hobby
- 1:17:53Speaker 4: so much that they put a sticker on their car
- 1:17:55Speaker 4: about it. And it's salt and it's salt life. Those
- 1:17:59Speaker 4: are two nice words. I love to see it. I
- 1:18:02Speaker 4: love seeing the back of a car and being like,
- 1:18:04Speaker 4: that's they did a diorama of themselves.
- 1:18:08Speaker 2: Right, like a little like school project. Yes, the trifled cardboard. Yeah, wrong, curse.
- 1:18:16Speaker 4: That just that seems mean.
- 1:18:18Speaker 2: We'll explained this has nothing to do with mean. First
- 1:18:20Speaker 2: of all, I see like you. Until you said the
- 1:18:22Speaker 2: surf thing, I was still wondering what it even meant.
- 1:18:25Speaker 2: So maybe I'm wrong. See what you don't even know?
- 1:18:29Speaker 2: What does it mean? We could be committing to something
- 1:18:32Speaker 2: that's bad right now?
- 1:18:33Speaker 4: Can you have a laptop?
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: This could be a group that you know, bomb's clinics.
- 1:18:37Speaker 2: I don't know what salt life is. I need a
- 1:18:42Speaker 2: more clear It could.
- 1:18:45Speaker 4: H it stands for a save abortion. Let me talk.
- 1:18:51Speaker 4: It's the opposite. Yeah, I think it would be stop abortion. Yes,
- 1:18:57Speaker 4: literally get today? You're literally today life?
- 1:19:02Speaker 2: Yeah? Who knows? And most of these bumper sekers are
- 1:19:05Speaker 2: always so vague and I can't commit to what I
- 1:19:08Speaker 2: don't want to know about your life. Okay, keep it
- 1:19:10Speaker 2: to yourself.
- 1:19:11Speaker 4: You're telling me you're at a red light and there's
- 1:19:13Speaker 4: an empty car but in front of you, and you
- 1:19:17Speaker 4: aren't feeling left out of having a little thing to read.
- 1:19:20Speaker 2: I'm glad to have a moment of peace. All right,
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: Salt life hot least? Do we know what salt life is.
- 1:19:28Speaker 2: I think it's a company.
- 1:19:29Speaker 4: It's a company.
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: Oh, it's a company.
- 1:19:31Speaker 4: Why did I think it was surfing?
- 1:19:32Speaker 2: No, but it's it's connected to celebrating the ocean and
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: coastal activities. Okay, oh my god, they are Okay, then,
- 1:19:40Speaker 2: thank god.
- 1:19:41Speaker 4: I think it's a gift. I love to know that
- 1:19:43Speaker 4: there are people who do the ocean and water activities,
- 1:19:46Speaker 4: and that they also have cars.
- 1:19:48Speaker 2: They're not always in the water.
- 1:19:50Speaker 4: It's not just a boat, it's a car. They can
- 1:19:51Speaker 4: do multitudes. Also, I will say, as an olive branch,
- 1:19:55Speaker 4: sure to this idea, I think the twenty six point
- 1:19:59Speaker 4: two oval umper sticker is a curse.
- 1:20:01Speaker 2: Oh and there's there's just so many of them. Yeah,
- 1:20:04Speaker 2: I can't creep up with the math on which what
- 1:20:07Speaker 2: does this one mean? And like the ones that are
- 1:20:09Speaker 2: really small, I'm like, oh, now I'm just sad. Like,
- 1:20:11Speaker 2: what's the smallest number you can have of one of
- 1:20:14Speaker 2: those things? That's I think it's ten point two, it's
- 1:20:19Speaker 2: or thirteen point thirteen point one is a half marathon.
- 1:20:21Speaker 2: Get back to me when you've got to the full,
- 1:20:24Speaker 2: or just I don't want to know.
- 1:20:26Speaker 4: Don't stop at the sticker. Don't you put the sticker
- 1:20:29Speaker 4: on at thirteen point one?
- 1:20:30Speaker 2: That makes me sad. The energy you spent buying and
- 1:20:32Speaker 2: putting that on your car could have been spent training.
- 1:20:35Speaker 2: You shouldn't be driving, you should be running to work.
- 1:20:37Speaker 2: You should be running. Maybe maybe it.
- 1:20:39Speaker 4: Would be a different number.
- 1:20:41Speaker 2: Absolutely well, you got two out of three. Okay, that's good,
- 1:20:46Speaker 2: Thank you horrible. This is the final segment of the podcast.
- 1:20:51Speaker 2: It's called they said no emails. People a writing into
- 1:20:53Speaker 2: I said no gifts at gmail dot com. They're also
- 1:20:55Speaker 2: sending voice notes. People send voice notes, you prefer it's easier,
- 1:21:00Speaker 2: and they need to be sixty seconds long and recorded
- 1:21:02Speaker 2: in a quiet room. That's easy.
- 1:21:04Speaker 4: This is so fun.
- 1:21:05Speaker 2: But we're gonna read one. Okay, we help me answer
- 1:21:07Speaker 2: a question? Yeah, okay, let's get into the talk here.
- 1:21:11Speaker 2: This is Bridger and guessed, very clean, very cold greeting.
- 1:21:16Speaker 2: I'll say this is please. I need your help with
- 1:21:18Speaker 2: a social dilemma. I have a work event coming up soon,
- 1:21:21Speaker 2: and while I normally feel comfortable chatting with people, I
- 1:21:24Speaker 2: always find myself second guessing how to leave conversations without
- 1:21:27Speaker 2: being awkward. Okay, you know those moments when the conversation
- 1:21:31Speaker 2: has naturally quieted down and you're unsure of what's supposed
- 1:21:34Speaker 2: to happen next. I tend to linger too long out
- 1:21:36Speaker 2: of politeness or leave out of panic. I know both
- 1:21:39Speaker 2: of those feelings. How do you wrap things up at
- 1:21:41Speaker 2: move along? At parties, especially when it's someone more senior
- 1:21:44Speaker 2: or somebody I don't know, well, I never know what
- 1:21:46Speaker 2: to do. Would love any advice or phrases you have
- 1:21:49Speaker 2: to navigate. I imagine you're much better at this. I
- 1:21:53Speaker 2: can't imagine where this person got that idea. Benjamin Benjamin
- 1:21:57Speaker 2: is having the problem of at a converse leaving a conversation.
- 1:22:02Speaker 4: This is a this is a problem that I also have.
- 1:22:05Speaker 2: I don't know how to handle this at all.
- 1:22:06Speaker 4: You are you have like dysmorphia about the way that
- 1:22:10Speaker 4: you come across.
- 1:22:10Speaker 2: No, I think you just don't know me very you're.
- 1:22:12Speaker 4: Very polished and lovely, like straight up. And also, yeah,
- 1:22:20Speaker 4: I don't I don't have an answer. This also the
- 1:22:24Speaker 4: question itself would be like writing in how do I
- 1:22:27Speaker 4: become a prima ballerina with verbal advice? It's like you
- 1:22:32Speaker 4: got to put in the years, you got to know.
- 1:22:35Speaker 4: There's nothing I'm gonna tell you, although I will say,
- 1:22:39Speaker 4: Matt was it or Benjamin Benjamin close. Benjamin did ask
- 1:22:43Speaker 4: a good question in this big existential one, which is
- 1:22:46Speaker 4: do you have suggestions of phrases?
- 1:22:48Speaker 2: Which is incredible, right, gives us an opportunity at least, Yeah,
- 1:22:52Speaker 2: let me think my I mean, my two go tos
- 1:22:56Speaker 2: are always I'm going to get a drink, right, I
- 1:22:59Speaker 2: need to use the bathroom. But you know both of
- 1:23:02Speaker 2: those that you kind of have a small amount of
- 1:23:06Speaker 2: them for each party, because then eventually people are like, well,
- 1:23:09Speaker 2: you've asked, You've gone to get nineteen drinks. How could
- 1:23:12Speaker 2: you possibly know?
- 1:23:13Speaker 4: I also think at this point, I'm going to go
- 1:23:15Speaker 4: get a drink has become like not even euphemistic anymore.
- 1:23:22Speaker 2: People know what's going on.
- 1:23:23Speaker 4: People know exactly what it is, and it's it's almost
- 1:23:26Speaker 4: like a version of looking at your watch going well
- 1:23:29Speaker 4: it's getting late. It's just so used. The first thing
- 1:23:35Speaker 4: I thought of was turning it around to the party
- 1:23:38Speaker 4: saying like do you know anyone else here? Or like
- 1:23:41Speaker 4: oh before, or like bring it out to the space
- 1:23:44Speaker 4: so that way your body language.
- 1:23:46Speaker 2: Kind of opens up. You're half leaving, and.
- 1:23:48Speaker 4: You've made their eyes move away from you, because I
- 1:23:51Speaker 4: find getting stuck in eye contact to be It's sticky.
- 1:23:54Speaker 2: Right, It's very and it's my problem is is like
- 1:23:58Speaker 2: i'll run into a I'll say, well, I'll just I'll
- 1:24:00Speaker 2: let you enjoy it, or I'll leave you alone, is
- 1:24:02Speaker 2: what I'll say. And that's not No one wants to
- 1:24:05Speaker 2: be like Oh, now they think he thinks I'm bothering them.
- 1:24:09Speaker 2: There's no, that's not a good way out of it.
- 1:24:11Speaker 4: I unfortunately do have this dynamic with one of my
- 1:24:14Speaker 4: closest friends, or I had it before, and my husband
- 1:24:18Speaker 4: overheard us doing exactly what you're saying. Like I was
- 1:24:22Speaker 4: saying to her, I don't want to take up too
- 1:24:24Speaker 4: much of your time. Sorry, you probably have to go,
- 1:24:28Speaker 4: and she was saying, I'm so sorry. I'll get out
- 1:24:30Speaker 4: of your hair. I just need to charge my phone.
- 1:24:31Speaker 4: I'll be out of here. And he saw we are
- 1:24:34Speaker 4: very close friends. We worked together for years. She officiated
- 1:24:39Speaker 4: my wedding. He was watching it happen and stopped us
- 1:24:44Speaker 4: and said, I just need to say something. Neither of
- 1:24:48Speaker 4: you has plans, and both of you want to be
- 1:24:54Speaker 4: with each other. You like each other, you are friends.
- 1:25:00Speaker 4: You are being friends right now, and you're not mad
- 1:25:04Speaker 4: at her, she's not mad at you. You both want
- 1:25:08Speaker 4: her to sit on your couch and watch Celtic Woman
- 1:25:12Speaker 4: music videos.
- 1:25:12Speaker 2: Oh, I like say, stand of this.
- 1:25:14Speaker 4: We do it. And then that was like a turning
- 1:25:17Speaker 4: point in our friendship. We need it to be like
- 1:25:19Speaker 4: manually reset.
- 1:25:22Speaker 2: No, I think you get into rhythms like that.
- 1:25:24Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, but yeah, the saying like I'll get out
- 1:25:26Speaker 4: of your hair, right, I think, oh, they want to
- 1:25:29Speaker 4: get away. Yeah, other phrases, this is great. I feel
- 1:25:33Speaker 4: like I don't want to tell you how to run
- 1:25:34Speaker 4: your show, but I would love to hear people write
- 1:25:36Speaker 4: in with phrases.
- 1:25:37Speaker 2: That, oh, that's a great I have you get out
- 1:25:39Speaker 2: of a conversation.
- 1:25:40Speaker 4: Yeah, polite things, Oh, it's great.
- 1:25:42Speaker 2: To back away. I would love to hear something for
- 1:25:44Speaker 2: my own well being. Yeah, do you know what I mean?
- 1:25:47Speaker 2: This is kind of in the same territory. I wonder
- 1:25:49Speaker 2: how you feel about nice to see you, because people
- 1:25:52Speaker 2: have started cheating with saying that instead of saying nice
- 1:25:55Speaker 2: to meet you, and I see right through it, and
- 1:25:56Speaker 2: I just think.
- 1:25:57Speaker 4: Nice to see you is a weird fucking thing to
- 1:25:59Speaker 4: say forever. Regardless, if you're meeting someone for the first
- 1:26:02Speaker 4: time and they say nice to see you, I know
- 1:26:04Speaker 4: that they're doing the thing where they don't know if
- 1:26:05Speaker 4: you met me or not.
- 1:26:06Speaker 2: Nobody is being fooled by that anymore. No.
- 1:26:09Speaker 4: Wait, I just thought of one. It's I'm gonna take
- 1:26:12Speaker 4: a lap, I'm going to.
- 1:26:13Speaker 2: Circulate a little. And you think that's good.
- 1:26:15Speaker 4: Well, you do it like in a tongue in cheek
- 1:26:16Speaker 4: way where it's like, all right, let me just do
- 1:26:18Speaker 4: a lap, where you're like, I'm gonna let me just circulate.
- 1:26:22Speaker 4: I'm gonna have to hobnob, so it takes the pressure
- 1:26:28Speaker 4: out of it.
- 1:26:28Speaker 2: I can't imagine myself saying that I'm gonna take a lap.
- 1:26:32Speaker 2: Does that sound.
- 1:26:35Speaker 4: Jimmy Stewart affect.
- 1:26:36Speaker 2: No, not at all. I don't know what to say.
- 1:26:42Speaker 2: I'm trapped.
- 1:26:43Speaker 4: I'm I'm an earthy, brassy, sort of broad type. I
- 1:26:48Speaker 4: can get away with it.
- 1:26:49Speaker 2: I'm gonna take a lap. I'm going to see what's
- 1:26:51Speaker 2: on the.
- 1:26:52Speaker 4: Let me just I have to say hi to a
- 1:26:53Speaker 4: few people.
- 1:26:54Speaker 2: Oh, I have to stay hi to a few again.
- 1:26:56Speaker 2: That seems mean.
- 1:26:59Speaker 4: I have to. I want to make sure I say
- 1:27:02Speaker 4: I've talked to you enough. Well, this has gone far enough.
- 1:27:07Speaker 4: I feel trapped. I'm gonna.
- 1:27:11Speaker 2: I can barely breathe. This isn't great.
- 1:27:14Speaker 4: Just walk away, yeah, I think also like calling attention
- 1:27:17Speaker 4: to it, like, wow, did you feel the conversation? Just
- 1:27:20Speaker 4: go away crazy hard right now? Holy shit, I'm scared?
- 1:27:23Speaker 4: Are you scared?
- 1:27:25Speaker 2: I think that's fair. I feel sick and maybe blame
- 1:27:27Speaker 2: them for it. Yeah, and then say I gotta go
- 1:27:30Speaker 2: get a drink. Perfect.
- 1:27:32Speaker 4: Because of how horrible this was.
- 1:27:35Speaker 2: I hope that we don't cross pads again. Wow. I'm
- 1:27:38Speaker 2: gonna be watching out for you. This was hard for me.
- 1:27:40Speaker 4: This sucked.
- 1:27:42Speaker 2: Well. We answered the question perfectly.
- 1:27:44Speaker 4: Yeah, but people should still write in with you, bra.
- 1:27:46Speaker 2: If people I think send them in. I think that
- 1:27:49Speaker 2: maybe we could next episode or whenever we get these phrases,
- 1:27:53Speaker 2: we'll update let people know, just in order to help
- 1:27:57Speaker 2: in situations. This is great again. It's autility podcast. People
- 1:28:01Speaker 2: come here for life help.
- 1:28:04Speaker 4: This is this old house of talking exactly.
- 1:28:09Speaker 2: Well, I have so many things to deal with that
- 1:28:12Speaker 2: you've brought today.
- 1:28:13Speaker 4: Yeah, good luck.
- 1:28:14Speaker 2: This could change everything from me walking and I felt
- 1:28:17Speaker 2: worried for you that you display the gifts, and I
- 1:28:20Speaker 2: hope that you don't feel the pressure to put them
- 1:28:23Speaker 2: all up. We'll put up whatever we want. It's kind
- 1:28:25Speaker 2: of rotating, okay, great, oh, rotating.
- 1:28:27Speaker 4: Okay, it's a gallery.
- 1:28:28Speaker 2: It's a gallery. I mean, if you had to pick what,
- 1:28:31Speaker 2: this could easily this.
- 1:28:32Speaker 4: Yeah, that really that goes.
- 1:28:34Speaker 2: It goes matches with the dinosaur and the unicorn.
- 1:28:38Speaker 4: Imagine you just hit your hand on the table while
- 1:28:41Speaker 4: unspooling this slinky. Imagine if this table were marble. Oh,
- 1:28:44Speaker 4: you'd be bleeding.
- 1:28:45Speaker 2: You'd be bleeding and cold, so chilly, Willy, I can't
- 1:28:49Speaker 2: believe had long sticks to get off. Okay, there we go,
- 1:28:52Speaker 2: it's going right on to the table. Look at that there.
- 1:28:56Speaker 2: Oh she matches the cactus candy perfectly gorgeous.
- 1:29:01Speaker 3: Oh.
- 1:29:02Speaker 2: I've had such a nice time with you.
- 1:29:03Speaker 4: This was lovely.
- 1:29:04Speaker 2: Thank you for bringing all of these objects.
- 1:29:07Speaker 4: Thank you for taking them off my hands.
- 1:29:08Speaker 2: Of course, really this rocked listener. The podcast is over.
- 1:29:12Speaker 2: We're closing it down for the day. Do whatever you
- 1:29:16Speaker 2: want to do. I don't want anything to do with it.
- 1:29:18Speaker 2: I love you, good, Bobby, I said, No Gifts is

- 1:29:54Speaker 1: Funa man myself perfectly clear? But you're I guess home.
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: You gotta come to me empty, And I said, no, guests.
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: Your own presence is presents enough.
- 1:30:12Speaker 3: I already had too much stuff, So how do you
- 1:30:17Speaker 3: dare to surbey me?
