- 0:20Favorite happy places her chicken coop, along with all her
- 0:23chickens. Hey everybody.
- 0:29Good morning from the Porch today, the chicken coop, it's
- 0:32pouring outside. And as you can hear in the
- 0:35background, the frogs are in full force.
- 0:39Very early this morning. All kinds of creatures are
- 0:42taking advantage of this very very wet morning.
- 0:46So today we're talking about being able to Pivot because
- 0:49obviously I have this pivot. I have to take if you will
- 0:54thinking differently and being able to shoot the podcast
- 0:59somewhere different if I can't To the place where I need to be.
- 1:02So, how do you handle not just being able to make choice of
- 1:07doing the pivot? But it's how do you handle it
- 1:10when you have the emotion that comes up and says, I have to do
- 1:15this. How do you handle the distress
- 1:19of something different than you wanted?
- 1:21Is it a momentary blip? Or does it stick with you and
- 1:25carry with you for an extended period of time?
- 1:28And the reason this is important Important.
- 1:31The reason this is critically important is because that energy
- 1:34sets the tone for the day that energy sets, the tone for what
- 1:39will happen moving forward. And if you don't choose to shift
- 1:45it, you keep that with you for an extended period of time,
- 1:49which is not really healthy, which is not ideal.
- 1:53Because if you, if you think about this, if you really think
- 1:57about it and you say to yourself, okay, I'm going to
- 2:01Keep track of how I show up in those moments when some,
- 2:04somebody hands me something. Or I've got the best laid plans,
- 2:06I'm going to go out and going to do XYZ today and then all of a
- 2:09sudden you can't you have that how do you pivot with it?
- 2:14You know, it happens here a lot because we are dealing with
- 2:19farming types of things. And yes, while I'm a coach and a
- 2:25strategist for people, I also have this farm and we constantly
- 2:29have to be able to To change our point of reference change the
- 2:33direction. We're going, because we have no
- 2:35control over certain things. I have no control over the
- 2:37weather. I have no control over the bugs.
- 2:41I refuse to use chemicals. So, even if you did, if you, if
- 2:44you use the bad chemicals, you kill the good bugs and it's just
- 2:48not a great cycle. But needless to say, I have to
- 2:51make decisions about how I'm going to carry that energy
- 2:55forward with me because if I don't make those decisions and
- 2:59cut it off, It'll ruminate on this.
- 3:03This little tiny space in my head.
- 3:05And before you know it it becomes this big green monster
- 3:08in there and I'm dealing with something that I didn't want to
- 3:11deal with. So the frustrations have to be
- 3:13put in check quickly the take the information you need and
- 3:18move on. Don't keep hanging on to it is
- 3:21point and if you're not clear on where you get hung up, not clear
- 3:26on how they affect you, this is what this talk is about today
- 3:30because Cuz they eat you up. They chew you up little by
- 3:34little, and if you don't manage them, they manage you.
- 3:38That's the phrase. Like don't allow your emotions
- 3:40to manage you, you manage them, you are in charge and if they
- 3:44are in charge, you're in trouble because they will run amok and
- 3:48they will not take care of you the way you want them to.
- 3:51They did in the initial in the initial information.
- 3:54They were giving you, but when they stay too long, they're like
- 3:57a house guest that has stayed past the time.
- 3:59You're ready to go. A bed and they're still sitting
- 4:02there talking and your I need to go to bed and they're still
- 4:05talking. And you're just like, oh my god,
- 4:07when are you going to leave? We've all had a houseguest like
- 4:11that. Well, you know, the fascinating
- 4:13part of that is it was because we didn't handle it properly.
- 4:17We don't, we say I don't want to be rude, but if we had just
- 4:20said, you know what, I have to tell you, to be honest with you,
- 4:24I am exhausted. I got to go to bed, we have to
- 4:26say good night. There is nothing wrong with
- 4:28that. That's not being rude.
- 4:30That's being Truthful. And sometimes we get skewed in
- 4:33our head when we do that with external people and we also get
- 4:36screwed in our head when we do this with ourselves because
- 4:40we're not stopping it. And we're not saying, nope,
- 4:43we're not playing this game. We're not thinking this way.
- 4:45We're not showing up this way. So, give yourself some food for
- 4:50thought today, see where your get hung up with this.
- 4:53Make a change, make a change, make a change, make a change,
- 4:57and I promise you, when you make the change, you will Absolutely
- 5:01thrilled with the results because you feel better
- 5:05throughout your day, you have heightened awareness, when you
- 5:08don't get bogged down by Petty small little things.
- 5:12Like I'm not going to sit all day and worry about the fact
- 5:15that I was not able to shoot for you today with the chickens
- 5:18there. Because well, you know what?
- 5:20Change of plans Universe? Just offered me some different
- 5:24weather, and I've got the frogs in the background and all the
- 5:26bugs. So you know what?
- 5:29You'll hear some interesting. And other sounds today.
- 5:31And tomorrow, I'll be back at the chicken coop.
- 5:34Hopefully, looks like we're in a rainy phase, but needless to
- 5:38say, pivot and enjoy it, and give yourself the gift of
- 5:42getting out of it quickly. All right, my friends.
- 5:45I hope you have a blessed day and I will see you tomorrow.
- 5:48Bye. And other sounds today.
