- 0:25Welcome inside the Treehouse. It's time to leave your worries outside. Join me
- 0:29Daniel Malley, Tory Trenholm and Raj Sharma for a always special Friday edition of
- 0:39the Treehouse to make you happy, Raj. Every time between between football and
- 0:47Friday, Like, I don't know what, it just makes me. Yeah,
- 0:50the Treehouse, the Treehouse Football Podcast, and then the Friday episode and
- 0:57then Monday's just Monday. Yeah. I like, I had a little broke
- 1:03on that Friday and that football you gave. Oh I did, didn't I
- 1:07There's been a while since I've tried that. Oh, maybe we can add
- 1:11that to our guest list for next week's five Days a Week Treehouse, super
- 1:18Week or Stupid Bowl Week, whichever we've decided on. Because one of the
- 1:23things that's hysterical to me about the Super Bowl, especially on the radio side
- 1:27of things, is radio row at the Super Bowl. Now, granted we've
- 1:32never been. When we were on the radio, we didn't go. There
- 1:34was no reason for us to go because we were not a sports station.
- 1:40Back when I worked at the Fan, they barely put us up at the
- 1:45Hampton End in San Antonio for training camp. They sure as shit weren't sending
- 1:51us to the super Bowl the way that they do now, because that was
- 1:55back, you know, two thousand and nine ten. Anyway, my point
- 1:57is when radio shows they go to Radio Row, they get all these big
- 2:02name guests. But all these big name guests are hawking some of the most
- 2:06random products that they could get their bank accounts attached to. So you'll get
- 2:13some guy who's like on the edge of the Hall of Fame, but because
- 2:15he's not quite in the Hall of Fame, but everyone knows who he is,
- 2:20he's going to get some really cool uh you know, Amazonian for a
- 2:24super food juice product endorsement for the Super Bowl. That he's got a hawk
- 2:30up and down Radio Row. So in order for us to compete with that,
- 2:36I think it's important that we bring on our own big name guests next
- 2:39week, and that would include people like I'm Luke Bryant, h which no
- 2:45one else is gonna have. It could it could all possibly be, even
- 2:47though I haven't even attempted the impersonation in years, Hombro call Nightly News.
- 3:00That's about as much as I can get out of that. Christopher Walking might
- 3:02make an appearance in the Treehouse, absolutely he's he's promoting his new line of
- 3:07chicken shoes. I would imagine, I would imagine Christopher walking in the classic
- 3:13Saturday Night Live bit where he says and that he's got a fever and he
- 3:17needs more of something. It wasn't, in fact, cow Bell, it
- 3:21was rage. What do you think it would be shoes made from chickens?
- 3:27No, No, that's that's like a fifteen year old bit that only you
- 3:30and I get. We'll have to explain that at some point. But no,
- 3:34it's it's he's got a fever and he needs more Treehouse. Oh,
- 3:38there you go. I like that should be we can make that a shirt.
- 3:42I like it. That's great. Oh so I think, I think.
- 3:46And then also maybe we could get Morgan Freeman to narrate our our five
- 3:53Our Treehouse Super Weak, which of course would be done by Aaron Aport.
- 4:00Yes, and then perhaps we can get to Trey doing some impersonations of his
- 4:03mother. Big things planned next week Inside the Treehouse super Week, so five
- 4:13days a week. Make sure that you are subscribed to whatever your favorite podcasting
- 4:17platform is, whether it's Spotify, Apple, iHeart I think Stitcher may have
- 4:25gone away. Google's gone away, Google Pods has gone away, but there's
- 4:28plenty of others to choose from, and you can find those at Treehouse on
- 4:32Air dot com, and of course the Patreon is going to be up and
- 4:36running next week as well for some fun stuff. Patreon dot com slash Treehouse
- 4:40on Air for the Treehouse Super Week or Stupid Week whatever we'll figure out in
- 4:47the meantime. It is Friday for today, and they're trying to recall what
- 4:56exactly it was that got us started today. Oh that right, I remember,
- 5:00Raj. Why is it that your neighbors hate you? Oh? I
- 5:03don't think they hate me. I posted a very it was a very sweet
- 5:06gesture on on my neighbor's party. The next next Our neighbors are Pakistani Indian.
- 5:15We're not to get along is what I posted. And I was walking
- 5:18with dog and they have people that's been a regional crisis that could boil over
- 5:26into a global crisis at a yeah time. And I they were you know
- 5:30sometimes I'll have people come over for like Sunday prayers or whatever, and they
- 5:34were cooking, and I just how could you tell? Oh? Yeah,
- 5:41I was like that smells incredible. And I happen to see the guy,
- 5:46the husband, and I said, you know, I go I don't know
- 5:47what you guys are making up there, but it smells incredible, and he
- 5:50goes, oh really. I was like, yeah, absolutely, And about
- 5:54eleven PM, I got a knock on my door. I believe this was
- 5:58fri It's Saturday because they were cooking for Sunday, so I think it was
- 6:00Saturday night. And uh it was beautiful food. It was a ground chicken
- 6:09curry and then some potatoes and a very nice sweet dish, and I indulged.
- 6:15And I have been sick ever since. I'm not stopped. So it
- 6:20seems like the regional crisis of India and Pakistan has has carried over into Addison.
- 6:29It's relocated into my belly, inflamed your southern border and sometimes the northern.
- 6:39So I did wake up last night and I was like, oh,
- 6:46I think I have to vomit now. And uh, that's also that's that's
- 6:50called nuclear proliferation rash, yes, and I was like, I, I
- 6:55it's not it's not it's not good either direction. It's but I have I'm
- 7:00I'm very proud of myself because this is the longest I have gone without getting
- 7:05sick. So how long is that now? No, I mean this just
- 7:11just the show. Seven minutes is how long I have gone without without getting
- 7:18sick. And now I I also, you know, have a weekend of
- 7:23shows here in town, so I have to be at least well enough to
- 7:29do those. But yeah, it's not that I don't think they eat me.
- 7:31I just think they accidentally gave me food poison accidentally. Yeah, a
- 7:40special dish they just you yeah, you know what you know what that dish
- 7:45is called Trey the Sphinx. I mean it was it was eleven pm.
- 7:51Uh it was. I was like, this is uh, I know,
- 7:54you guys are cooking for the next day for your guests, and I don't
- 7:58know if it just sat out for too long. And then they were like,
- 8:03oh, we got to go give it to that guy because she said
- 8:05she tried to come by before and I wasn't home, which was not true.
- 8:09I did not I haven't left, so I was just probably asleep and
- 8:13at eleven PM that's when. So I don't know if it was sitting out.
- 8:16It wasn't cold, so I know it wasn't the fridge, and I
- 8:20don't know how many hours it takes before chicken can spoil so Trey. I
- 8:24mean, I think you because you're in that business. I don't know how
- 8:26long it can sit out, set out for a while. It's the fecal
- 8:31matter that'll really yeah, the secret. Yeah, you can't. You can't
- 8:37make your curry in the toilet. I don't care if the size and the
- 8:43shape of the commode seem convenient. You just can't make the curry in the
- 8:46toilet. Toilet curry. Toilet curry. Toilet curry sounds like something they make
- 8:52in Indian prison here. You got toilet wine over there. Toilet curry,
- 9:01that's yeah. But I have I five o'clock this morning, five o'clock this
- 9:07morning, I was up and I was like, oh yeah, still gotta
- 9:09do that thrown up thing. And it hasn't stopped, luckily. Just what
- 9:16all of a sudden, That Applebee's date Night pass sounds pretty good, doesn't
- 9:18it. Did you see you'd prefer the toilet curry. Okay, toilet curry
- 9:30over all. You can eat riblets from the Applebee. Did you see the
- 9:35story of those sold out? They sold those out in like two minutes.
- 9:39Yeah, I I saw that, and then I actually was a friend of
- 9:43mine. She has a younger son who's super athletic kid very so he eats
- 9:48quite a bit and they usually do sushi and I was like, you should
- 9:50go to Applebee's. It's like why and I was like, fourteen ninety nine
- 9:54all you can eat, and she thought it was kidding. She's like,
- 9:56are you making this up? And I was like, absolutely not. And
- 9:58that's where they went. Yeah, the story that when it first came out
- 10:05a couple of weeks ago, it was the Applebee's announced their date night pass
- 10:09leading up to Valentine's Day, and we of course made fun of it.
- 10:13It's two hundred bucks and you could save thirteen hundred dollars having date night at
- 10:20Applebee's once per week for an entire year, and we made fun of it
- 10:24rightfully. So now we hear that it sold out in like two minutes,
- 10:28so it's obviously a good deal that people want to jump in on it.
- 10:31And when we made fun of it a couple of weeks ago, Raj,
- 10:35if I remember correctly, you said, if you're having date night at Applebee's,
- 10:39you're cheating on your wife. Well after hearing that it sold out in
- 10:45two minutes, I would like to add on to that if you are having
- 10:48date night at Applebee's. She's cheating on you too. Yeah, you're in
- 11:03the treehouse. Visit is online a treehouse on air dot com. Let's get
- 11:13Daniel Cook from Cook DFW Roofing end Restoration into the treehouse for your free roof
- 11:18inspection. Give this man a call eight three to three Cook DFW. That's
- 11:22eight three three Cook DFW the website cookdfw dot com. Daniel, I'm gonna
- 11:26start out with a weird question for you today. Have you ever found bats
- 11:31when you've been doing a roof inspection? Bats? Wow? No, I
- 11:37have not. I think from my understanding. You know that's going to be
- 11:41mostly probably southern or central Texas area. I could see that happening often in
- 11:46that area. I know when we vacation down there. That's a very common
- 11:48theme. I just saw an article the other day that the bats were actually
- 11:52so cold that they were going into hibernation and freezing and kind of like the
- 11:58the a couple of years ago in Florida were doing the same thing. These
- 12:03bats were freezing and they were falling down to the ground. Oh, people
- 12:05were thinking they were dead, so they were kicking them and different things like
- 12:09that, and everybody's like, no, don't, don't touch them. Once
- 12:13it gets warming out, they'll wake back up and they'll be able to hopefully
- 12:16fly away if they haven't broken a wing or anything on the way down.
- 12:18Not around here, I've seen. I don't see any bats around here.
- 12:22We do have a couple of bats that apparently have weaseled their way into the
- 12:26space between I guess the wood portion of our roof and the metal galvanized part,
- 12:33which I'm stunned by because the gap is minuscule, and they will wake
- 12:37my wife up like you would not believe. They have little bat parties.
- 12:39Bat parties. That's a popular thing. I remember that back in the eighties.
- 12:43So so make sure for that free roof inspection. You have our guy,
- 12:48Daniel Cook a call eight three to three Cook d FW or that website

- 13:18filth that garbage. It's Marilyn Manson. Sounds like a sweet girl, though,

- 15:01a living. So that's everything you got coming on Dallas Comedy Club this weekend,
- 15:07plus of course COOKEDFW, roofing and restoration. And there was one other
- 15:11thing I thought about with the Applebee's Date Night pass. I also realized that
- 15:20because okay, let me start over, the apple Bee's Date Night Pass sold
- 15:24out in about a minute. And the new realization I had was that if
- 15:31you're out for the Applebee's date night. I imagine the date night sex you
- 15:35have will also be about a minute. I like, how you're you think
- 15:46people have sex after Applebee's, Well not maybe not if they're doing the all
- 15:50you can eat Yeah that's what I Yeah, but you know, you don't
- 15:54play a bone after a buffet. I think they're also if they're also doing
- 15:58the two dollars Margarita's with their eight night pass, then now that's that's where
- 16:03the magic could happen, right. Yeah, Now, if you're in,
- 16:06if you're if you're in for you know, the Applebee's marks, then you're
- 16:11probably gonna have some some sloppy sex, uh and you'll probably be slinging around
- 16:15some spinded chartichoke dip in the process. But if you're going the the all
- 16:19you can eat route, I just don't understand. And I'm sure there are
- 16:22people that do it. I'm not one of them. How you can gorge
- 16:26yourself at any buffet and then afterwards think you know what I need? Now?
- 16:34You know, it depends on like if you're like, hey, we're
- 16:40we're frugal and we just did this and I save thirty percent off this date
- 16:45night. If they're on board with like, you know what, for for
- 16:48all of the the buffalo wings we had, you're getting some ashing tonight.
- 16:53That's you're you're on the same page. That chicken wing is not the last
- 16:57bone you're gonna get. I'm ashamed of myself. But to make sure she
- 17:06brusures her teeth before she gives you some world though vice versa. Oh because
- 17:11the buffalo sauce. Yeah, So I mean if you're in on it together,
- 17:17like we're very frugal people and uh, and that's what turns you on
- 17:21is a deal, then I could see how how that would work. Otherwise,
- 17:26if you're just taking a date to Applebee's, like that's it. That's
- 17:30that's the last date, right, Like you don't go your first date is
- 17:33also your last date. That's what I'm saying. Like you like, where
- 17:37do you want to meet? And you type in and you text back Applebee's
- 17:41and I'm sure the next message is seriously and you're like yeah, and these
- 17:45these people have already like hey have committed to this plan. Let me just
- 17:48see how this turns out. And then you go to the Applebe's and go,
- 17:51Okay, well, I'm never going to see you again. And I
- 17:53think that's fair. You can go yeah, all right, well it was
- 17:57it was take the riblets home. I don't know. I don't know what
- 18:03a riblet is. I keep saying it, but I think that's what they're
- 18:06called. It's it's it's rib nuggets, that's what it is. Oh,
- 18:10no, rib nuggets. That sounds worse. It's just it's just beef chunks.
- 18:19That's all it is. It's just some sauce. But when you say
- 18:23you talk about, you know, going Applebe's and you never see him again.
- 18:27Are you talking about like, all right, you're gonna have date night.
- 18:30They're a drunk, nasty you know, Saxon, you're never gonna see
- 18:33each other again. Or are you talking about like it puts the lotion on
- 18:37its skin type you're never going to see someone again. Yes, except in
- 18:47Ra's version of the story, it puts the riblet sauce on this it marinates,
- 18:57or else it gets the spinach r to choke again. Oh man,
- 19:10all right? Today is Freddie February second, twenty twenty four. Happy Groundhog
- 19:15Day. It might be more winter, it might not. I don't know
- 19:18if when they flipped the groundhog, if they said heads or tails and what
- 19:23came up. Frankly, I don't think it's I think the last time I
- 19:29saw the statistic whatever, the people you know that handle Pucksatani Phil and say
- 19:36whether it's six more weeks of winter or whatever, or it's not. It's
- 19:40only accurate like thirty something percent of the time anyway, So it doesn't matter
- 19:44what they said. It's still it's just an event. People do it.
- 19:48It's for show and they don't really know until something happens. Well, it's
- 19:53seventy three in Dallas, sot's let's hope for this mo this weather for the
- 20:00rest of the year, that would be that would be perfect. Ain't gonna
- 20:04happen. But it's nice too. It's nice to dream, absolutely all right.
- 20:11So once again, Friday, February second, twenty twenty four, heavy
- 20:12Groundhog Day. Heels like we just did that. Birthday is today we are
- 20:18looking at She plays Ramona Gibblert on Fuller House. Sony Bringus is twenty two.
- 20:26At least I hope that's how she pronounces her name, because otherwise it's
- 20:27bring Ass. So yeah, that's when you used the first pronunciation and not
- 20:37the second one. That's when you change your last name. And it's bring
- 20:41ass. Yeah. I've seen many people with last names like that, and
- 20:47I have immediately thought you can change that. Yeah. Yeah. I met
- 20:52a guy at one of the clubs in Oklahoma City to go what's your name?
- 20:56And he goes Dick and I go, I mean Richard. Yeah,
- 21:00but you chose Dick, like you can go by Richard. He's like,
- 21:04uh, yeah, but my dad was Richard and I was like, oh,
- 21:08and he named you Dick. So so because your dad was Richard,
- 21:12you were only left with Dick. Go by the full name, go by
- 21:18Richard, go by rich by Shard would be better than going by Dick.
- 21:29And if someone said Shard, what kind of a name is that? Short
- 21:33for Richard or long for Dick, and then they would get I get it.
- 21:37I can see why you chose long for Dick. That is uh.
- 21:47That's gonna be the takeaway from this episode. I'm I'm contemplating making it the
- 21:52the episode title we are we are not too big for a clickbait headline or
- 21:59a title hundred percent the Friday episode number twenty two. I think something like
- 22:06that Friday number twenty two, long for Dick. I feel good Other birthdays
- 22:14today jim at Archerton is thirty eight. She's a British actress from films like
- 22:18Prince of Persia, Hansel and Gretel Witch Hunters, which was kind of fun.
- 22:22I watched that. It's Netflix and it was the Pandemic. Yeah,
- 22:26of course I did. I watch almost everything. She was also in justin
- 22:30Timberlake's Runner Runner. Oh. She was also the bond girl in Quantum of
- 22:33Solace, naked and dripping with oil when she died. So that's her.
- 22:40Shakira Shakira turns forty seven, former drummer from The Counting Curls Been Maze is
- 22:45fifty three from STP's Don't Tiple Pilots. Robert Daleo or DeLeo. I always
- 22:52forgot to say that he is fifty eight today. And Christy Brinkley, she
- 22:56turns seventy, wow and seventy years old and still looks like an SI Swimsuit
- 23:06model, which her daughter is now by the way, her daughter was in
- 23:10the twenty eighteen SI Swimsuit issue. And her name I believe is Solar Sailor
- 23:15Sailor Solar'd dumb solo. It's celebrities, they have weird names and that they
- 23:21probably named the kid Shard, long for Dick. You know. The problem
- 23:29is, though, if you go by Shard, everyone's gonna be like Shart.
- 23:32Yeah, I know, that's what I thought you said. At first,
- 23:33I was like, that's not short print, that's that's just an unfortunate
- 23:38name. That's short. Oh shar gotcha Okay. And finally, Lieutenant Commander
- 23:44Data on Star Trek, the next generation Brent Spiner is seventy five. Today.
- 23:51There are your celebrity birthdays inside the Treehouse for today. Yeah. Yeah,
- 23:56I did mention obviously that the Applebee's Date Night pass sold out in two
- 24:00minutes and also crashed their website. In addition to that, some other lovely
- 24:06pieces of news include a man who accidentally handed police his bag of cocaine when
- 24:11it was time for him to do his breath test or you can just call
- 24:18that. Meanwhile, in Florida, this is actually Australia. This is Australia,
- 24:29the international Florida. It's where we would send Florida if we could.
- 24:37That's what that's how Australia came to be. Britain had their version of Florida
- 24:42and sent them all to Australia. Yeah yeah, And and and good on
- 24:48him because cocaine's very, very hard to find in Australia. And I know
- 24:52this because my ex wife is Australia and all of her friends whenever they come
- 24:55to LA, that's the first thing they asked for it. Where's Ramins Chinese
- 25:00theater? And where can we get cooked? So I'm like, I don't
- 25:03know why you think I would know the latter, but one of them did
- 25:07say, He's like, uh, you know where? Do you know where
- 25:07to get it? I was like, you don't get this physique, bye,
- 25:11you don't. You don't get this belly by being on cocaine. That
- 25:15doesn't. That doesn't happen. There are there are very few cocaine addicts that
- 25:18that were able to maintain the sloppy body. And yeah, yeah, so
- 25:26uh so good on him for And it's very expensive. It's like three hundred
- 25:30and fifty dollars a gram in Australia. So that's why he wanted the police
- 25:36officer to safeguard it. Take this place to me, you to it,
- 25:49get it later. You're in the treehouse. Visit us online at Treehouse on
- 25:57air dot com two one four at three six eight thirty eight, thirty eight

- 26:11course Jacqueline from Brooks Plumbing and Jacqueline, I know that you are a busy,
- 26:15busy woman, you are a titan of the plumbing industry. But that
- 26:19also means you have to balance it out with a little knee time, a
- 26:22little Jacqueline time. So you're doing that by doing the parade in New Orleans.
- 26:26I am it'll be my fourth year in the row in a row so
- 26:33kind of Marti gra The history of Marti Gras is that it's actually privately funded
- 26:36by the individuals that are on the parade float. So each group, each
- 26:40parade that you see, consists of a crew of people, and each crew
- 26:44is like a private club. It's a social club, and you have to
- 26:47pay dues to join, and your dues go towards basically the cost of riding.
- 26:52So they build the floats with your dues. The tractors that are driven
- 26:56that pull the floats go into that and then everything that gets through our own
- 27:00off of the parade float is privately for purchase by the writer themselves. But
- 27:04I just love it. I think that it's so fun, and so this
- 27:08is my fourth year doing it. It's very hard to get into these clubs,
- 27:11but they're very cool. There's a lot of history behind kind of each
- 27:15of them. So they'll have some that are all women, some that are
- 27:18all men, some that are all first responders, and I've ridden with them
- 27:22before and that's just insane. First responders just know how to party like nobody
- 27:26else. They have some that are all veteran or active duty. That's awesome.
- 27:30See of all the times I've been to New Orleans, I have never
- 27:33experienced Marty gra plenty of other stuff, but not Marty Gras. Now I
- 27:37did do for a number of years in a row through the show, through

- 30:22sense to you, Raj. Once i'd tell you who sent me this story.
- 30:26There was a uh this is this is no surprise. Yes, it
- 30:30happened in Florida. At a certain point, it kind of becomes I don't
- 30:37know, old hat or just okay, it's another Florida story, but this
- 30:44is a good one. Naked woman inconvenience store rampage. M hmm. Yeah,
- 30:52a again it is Florida, but it look if this stuff happened in
- 31:00uh, you know, Arizona, it would still garner attention, it would
- 31:04still make the news. But It's just a continuing thread of things that that
- 31:11only seemed to happen. And is it? Is it because opioids are so
- 31:15readily available in Florida? Is that what it is? Like? I can't
- 31:18figure out like why, like who makes that decision? You know, this
- 31:22case, in this case, they're I think they're mainly citing alcohol. Police
- 31:30alleged that Celia Barrett, thirty five, caused a drunken disturbance on Sunday at
- 31:36a racetrack in Saint Petersburg, Florida. Yeah. Uh, To give you
- 31:41a little more detail on this situation, a naked woman wielding a sharp edged
- 31:48vegetable peeler threatened convenience store workers, destroyed a red bull display, and masturbated
- 31:56in front of sheriff's deputies before being taken into custody on a variety of criminal
- 32:00charges in Saint Petersburg, Florida. Can we go ahead? And can we
- 32:06go ahead and stop the show? Now? Why? The story reminds me
- 32:10of an excellent decoll True Love Never Never dies. It just moved to St.
- 32:35Petersburg. Oh my god, we will see you next week for the
- 32:40five days a week plus the day after the Super Bowl special event inside the
- 32:45treehouse. Treehouse, super stupid week. That's not bad. Oh yeah,
- 32:51I stumbled over something. Clever, I will. I will make a note
- 32:55of that in my book. We will see you for that big week next
- 32:59week, right here inside the treehouse
