- 1:29more crucial. Joining us as we explore the
- 1:31forces shaping global markets, the power of precious metals,
- 1:35digital assets, and the dynamics influence economies across the
- 1:38globe. George Ballantine, man, how are
- 1:41you, brother? Round two of the day, What's
- 1:42going on bro? It's Friday, right?
- 1:45Round two. We'll get it done.
- 1:48I'm still nursing this stupid left eye, but it's all right.
- 1:51I can see good. When my one eye saw, I got my
- 1:53one eye. And Jonathan Rose and his new
- 1:55fella here. I'm going to, yeah.
- 1:59I just I. Just know, I just know that
- 2:03Jonathan Rose would not send one of his workers or one of his
- 2:07employees, I should say, and that would disappoint.
- 2:12The big, big show, the big, big mafia, our listeners, he would
- 2:15not disappoint. So he's going to sing that
- 2:16Jingle whether he likes it or not.
- 2:18But that's all right. Let's bring him on.
- 2:19Welcome to the big, big show, Bill Armour.
- 2:22He's on the spot now. A lot of pressure, Bill.
- 2:24A lot of pressure on the show. You can feel it already surging
- 2:26here. George got you tied into doing
- 2:29the Jingle. How are you, man?
- 2:31Thanks for joining us. It's the first time on the show.
- 2:33What's going on? Feeling great, happy to be here.
- 2:36Thanks so much for having me you guys.
- 2:37I'm cool under pressure. That's it exactly.
- 2:41Well, you, you probably are because you, you served eight
- 2:43years in the military and military intelligence, you know,
- 2:47and of course with that kind of background, you do have to keep
- 2:50it calm and cool. Depends on whether you're doing
- 2:52any of those ICA reports and what's actually going on.
- 2:56Maybe give the audience just a little bit of background on
- 2:58yourself just so they can get caught up.
- 2:59I know you've been in the bullion markets for about 7 or 8
- 3:01years, so maybe kind of give them a little other background
- 3:04on who you are. Yeah, absolutely.
- 3:08So during the military did 8 years military intelligence, got
- 3:11out, went to school, got a degree in biblical ministry,
- 3:14since been in finance and situationally or on the side
- 3:18their ministry as well did a little bit of vocational
- 3:21ministry. So been around, seen quite a few
- 3:24things, know quite a bit and hopefully can can give you guys
- 3:26some really interesting insight. Yeah, and, and it's interesting.
- 3:31I, you know what? We did a radio interview with
- 3:33you and I thought I was actually really impressed with your depth
- 3:37of knowledge. You know, the markets are always
- 3:39so, you know, there's only so many different data sets that
- 3:43really go into determining where the markets are going that it
- 3:46really takes a lot of experience in bullion markets or even the
- 3:49regular market, stock market, crypto markets now to really
- 3:52know what what's going to happen.
- 3:54But before we kick off, we always talk about, you know,
- 3:57owning hard assets. We always talk about
- 3:59diversification in your portfolio.
- 4:02And one of those pieces is, of course, the prepper bar.
- 4:05You know, I've said it before, your bank accounts could be gone
- 4:08by morning. You never know.
- 4:10This isn't crazy conspiracy theory.
- 4:11It's about to happen. We talked about it over and over
- 4:14again on the crypto power out on this show.
- 4:15The digital dollar is coming. And with it, the government
- 4:18gains total control over your money.
- 4:20But of course, it gets worse. We've talked about the hacking
- 4:23that happens. Our our financial system is
- 4:26always under pressure. You never know what's going to
- 4:28happen with it. They're going to try to cripple
- 4:29the US dollar in a way that'll make your accounts vanish,
- 4:33frozen, wiped out. Monitor control.
- 4:35I don't like the sound of any of that.
- 4:37And the government solution? More control, more surveillance,
- 4:40less freedom. But here's what they won't tell
- 4:42You can still protect yourself. I love these bars.
- 4:45And I'll tell you, the prepper bar is the perfect escape.
- 4:47They're real, tangible forms of wealth.
- 4:50They're available in gold and silver.
- 4:52And yes, they do come with an assay report.
- 4:54You can hold them, you can trade them.
- 4:56You can trust, you can stick it in your sock drawer safety
- 4:59deposit box. I don't care where you keep
- 5:01them. Better to have them and not need
- 5:03them, then need them and not have them.
- 5:05And the government can't seize it.
- 5:06No hacker can steal it. Time is ticking.
- 5:09Need to act now to secure your prepper bars before the
- 5:11government rolls it out. Their next move.
- 5:13I know Trump's in the, you know, in the White House, but you
- 5:17can't tell me that you love every single thing that's going
- 5:19on in the administration now. Genesis Gold groups on a special
- 5:23for us. They've been running it for a
- 5:24while now. Prepper all caps.
- 5:27That's the promo code. 10% off on the silver, 5% off on the
- 5:31gold. You head over to the big meat
- 5:33bar.com or you just take a picture of that QR code.
- 5:37George makes it easy for you. The reason I love these bars
- 5:40when Genesis called designed these they made it so you could
- 5:42just snap off a small piece to make a payment unlike A1 oz
- 5:46point where you have to have some tin snips to chip off that
- 5:49corner. It's a very easy system fits
- 5:51real easily in your wallet. The big make bar.com all caps
- 5:55prepper for the best deal head over there right after the show,
- 5:59maybe pick up a few send us a photo.
- 6:00If you do, we'll put you up on social media and maybe even on
- 6:03the show all. Right ready, Bill 1.
- 6:08I'm going to do it with you all. Right, we're doing 3123 break me
- 6:13off a piece of that prepper bar. He's not even singing.
- 6:16He's just moving his lips. Come on bro, we're going to do
- 6:18one more that's. The only.
- 6:19One we're going to do it one more time Bill, because I got we
- 6:22I've told you got to do this twice.
- 6:24You're ready. Come on.
- 6:24Let's just let's go. All right, 123 break me off
- 6:29Piece of piece of. That prepper.
- 6:31Bar. There we go.
- 6:33Prepper bar. Johnson Rose.
- 6:36That's twice I want my gold prepper bar before I have to go
- 6:39and break some pretty. Good for a first time, Bill,
- 6:41I'll give you, I'll give you a round on that.
- 6:43How easy. George jumps in with that
- 6:44Jingle. You know it's his thing.
- 6:47Lance screws it up all the time so don't worry, but you did a
- 6:49great and better job than with. George on the on the old Prepper
- 6:51Bar Jingle. Well, there's a lot going on,
- 6:54man. And of of course, as always, we
- 6:56like to cover bricks, you know, bullion, Wall Street, you name
- 6:59it on the show. But I think we have to start off
- 7:01with it'd be unexpected and I and I titled this rut row.
- 7:06I'm thinking of old Shaggy and scooby-doo.
- 7:09Wholesale prices rose 0.9% in July, much more than expected.
- 7:16The producer, of course, the producer price index jumped by
- 7:19almost a full percentage point in July compared to the Dow
- 7:22Jones estimate for 0.2%. That was the biggest monthly
- 7:26increase since June. Of course, excluding food and
- 7:31energy prices, the core PPI rose 0.9 against the forecast of 0.2
- 7:36or 0.3. What do you think?
- 7:39You know, a lot of people are trying to point the finger at
- 7:42tariffs. Start with you, Bill.
- 7:44Tell me what you think. Where, where are we at on this?
- 7:46Why do you think this happened? Because a lot of people missed
- 7:49this number. Yeah, absolutely.
- 7:52I mean, I would, I would first I want to address the elephant in
- 7:55the room that is whenever you're dealing with the the BLS there
- 7:59and, and CPI numbers and whatnot, there's a long track
- 8:02record of the numbers not being honest.
- 8:04So, but eventually they have to get numbers because people won't
- 8:08believe them. So eventually they have to start
- 8:09putting these out, you know, and they're a little more accurate.
- 8:11So what I would I would argue, and you know, I'm not at at BLS,
- 8:16but what I would argue it's Bureau of Labor Statistics that
- 8:18are the ones that put out these CPI reports, etcetera, is that a
- 8:21lot of this is catch up to Biden era inflation that was not
- 8:25represented because they had downplayed that so heavily
- 8:28during his term. And so it's it's an easy finger
- 8:30point. And I think it's it's, you know,
- 8:32a broad goes into a broader discussion of the partisanship
- 8:36of the BLS, but of them putting together stats, just try and
- 8:40eventually get them to reflect what they currently exist.
- 8:43So, you know, I don't know how much of this is actually tied to
- 8:46the tariffs. I'm sure, you know, it could be
- 8:47some of it, you know, that's, that's probably undeniable at
- 8:51some level. But beyond that, I'm always
- 8:53skeptical whenever numbers are are this far off, you know,
- 8:57potentially with with what Trump has done.
- 8:58It's just been, you know, generally very, very positive.
- 9:02Yeah. And, and, and you are right
- 9:04about that. We talk about it often when it
- 9:06comes to polling. But the same thing with these
- 9:08numbers. We know there were some
- 9:09irregularities in the unemployment numbers.
- 9:12It seems like there's lots of holdovers in the administration.
- 9:15I agree with you. I don't think these numbers are
- 9:17accurate. If there is any accuracy, and
- 9:20I'm meaning that they came on the high side.
- 9:22I do believe it's that leftover from Joe Biden because, you
- 9:25know, talk about maybe the worst presidency in the history of the
- 9:28United States. Of course, I believe him to be
- 9:30an installed president, but other than that, didn't do a
- 9:33good job. Never was a business guy
- 9:36surrounded himself. What I would think ineffective
- 9:38leadership within his administration that didn't do
- 9:40the job. You know, I think it's simple
- 9:44enough to always point the finger.
- 9:46Everybody loves to to to villainize Donald Trump, you
- 9:49know, so how accurate these. I think it's a very good point
- 9:53you made. I agree with you.
- 9:54But I think you know, there, there obviously there is some
- 9:57impact. We are seeing some increases in
- 9:59prices. You know, you can see it on
- 10:01Amazon, you can see it on some of the platforms and some
- 10:04products have risen. Maybe it's knee jerk because of
- 10:07course we know that the as an example that China is not facing
- 10:11the tariffs that they will face. I think it's in another 90 days
- 10:14or maybe it's 75 days now and we're going to see some of this.
- 10:19There's no doubt. But at the end of the day, we do
- 10:21need a solution economically, $37 trillion in debt and
- 10:25counting. George, throw up that media too
- 10:27and then give me your comments. What do you think?
- 10:30Media too. Please.
- 10:32Well, listen, we've seen even like the labor market, job
- 10:36market numbers there. Now they have to change them up.
- 10:38I mean, it's hard to believe in any numbers.
- 10:41But what I seen yesterday come out and I know I talked to you
- 10:45about this land is the price housing, the housing market.
- 10:48Now this is kind of sets its own has actually slowed down where
- 10:53buyers are now have the upper hand and they're actually
- 10:56selling below list because before they were fighting
- 10:59prices, you know, yes, let's say example 200,000 for a house they
- 11:03were selling for 2/22/40. And I know first hand because it
- 11:06happened across the street from me.
- 11:08It's and it's crazy, but now buyers have have the upper hand
- 11:11and they're selling below cost. So, you know, we don't, we're
- 11:16not getting the real numbers anywhere from the government.
- 11:18So it's hard to tell. But you know, the market's going
- 11:21to be what the market's going to be.
- 11:23It's you know, we've seen for the last 6-5 months that because
- 11:28you know, everybody's panic over tariffs, but then you know, that
- 11:32fluctuated the market but not realizing back in 2017 trumped
- 11:36into tariffs and everything was fine just like it is now.
- 11:38We have so much, we have money coming in or change.
- 11:42Yeah, and they've been taking it.
- 11:43They do this globally. I think that's one thing.
- 11:46Historically we've taken a beating.
- 11:48They've taken advantage of our weak tariff policies for
- 11:51decades, really. And you know, I think the
- 11:54economic indicator of of, of now housing slowing down.
- 11:57Well, look, let's say it, face it, Jerome Powell is doing a
- 12:01tremendous amount of damage to this economy.
- 12:04You know, his unwillingness, and I think it's intentional to
- 12:10lower interest rates is, is definitely going to have an
- 12:13impact. Now, he sees these numbers and
- 12:14this is going to be his justification.
- 12:17Of course, he's going to use this to say, well, This is why
- 12:18I'm not lowering interest rates. But the truth of the matter is
- 12:22when you're dealing with a private institution like the
- 12:23Federal Reserve, even when those people aren't doing a good job,
- 12:27you can't fire him. And you heard Trump talking
- 12:29about a civil lawsuit that's going to get filed.
- 12:32That tells you everything you need to know.
- 12:34I've always said we need to nationalize the Federal Reserve.
- 12:36Not necessarily that I want the US government to be the only one
- 12:40running our money, but why? We're paying a private
- 12:42institution to print currency where they're charging us for a
- 12:46Fiat currency at face value after they print it, plus the
- 12:49printing cost. And then of course, they're
- 12:51charging us the interest on it when it doesn't even exist.
- 12:55I'm even questioning whether or not there's any gold in in Fort
- 12:57Knox at this point. There's supposed to be an audit
- 13:00with a video, you know, with a video team.
- 13:01And of course, that never happened.
- 13:03But when I look at these numbers, I think to myself, OK,
- 13:05US producer, you know, price index.
- 13:08What bothers me about this, and then I'll flip to you, William,
- 13:11is that I'm concerned that here's another thing to just
- 13:15crack the stock market, crack the crypto market.
- 13:18You combine this with, you know, Jerome Powell's unwillingness to
- 13:24lower interest rates, you know, whatever his policy beliefs are,
- 13:28and it's really damaging for recovery.
- 13:30And the question is, is it damaging to recovery because
- 13:33this is these numbers are accurate and Jerome Powell's
- 13:36right, or is it damaging the the economy because it's intentional
- 13:41to undermine the new administration with Donald
- 13:43Trump? What do you think?
- 13:45Absolutely. So, and, and I would just to
- 13:47clarify, you know, something earlier, while, while who knows,
- 13:50you know, when these statistics are coming and they're accurate,
- 13:53I think anyone with a brain can look around and say that things
- 13:56are getting more expensive, things are getting that this is
- 13:59the problem. You don't, you don't have to
- 14:00have exact numbers to know that. So whether or not they've been
- 14:03bad for a while, whether they're getting worse, how quickly
- 14:06they're getting worse, you know, there's some speculation there,
- 14:08but you can just look at this as a rational person and say, oh,
- 14:12there's a problem developing here and this doesn't end well.
- 14:15Now, in terms of Jerome Powell's stance on this, what he is, the
- 14:19people he's hurting really are our average everyday Americans,
- 14:22young people that want to buy homes, pieces like that.
- 14:24And that is really, you know, as a country where we want to make
- 14:27sure that people that work hard, you know, pay into the system,
- 14:31etcetera, are rewarded. And when you keep interest rates
- 14:33that high, you're a stopping them from starting businesses.
- 14:37They can't take out loans to start a business.
- 14:38They can't buy a home. So the people that you're
- 14:40crushing are the same people that end up renting, right?
- 14:44And we, you know, we all, I don't know, you know, who's
- 14:45benefiting from that, you know, BlackRock, etcetera.
- 14:48Vanguard. Vanguard, I think that this is,
- 14:52and I do agree with you somewhat of a coordinated effort here.
- 14:55People are making billions and billions and billions of dollars
- 14:58by keeping interest rates high and people stuck in the
- 15:01positions they're in. You know, I saw something, I
- 15:05think it came off a TikTok. I don't know.
- 15:06It was a nurse that had an 808 credit score, had a sizeable
- 15:11down payment written and she was in RN.
- 15:13She'd gone for the advanced nursing, you know, licenses, so
- 15:17clearly should be qualified as a first time home buyer.
- 15:21And, and she was talking about that even with her overtime
- 15:23wages. And we know, and of course we
- 15:25know that the medical industry, they make a good wage and of
- 15:28course overtime is really good for them.
- 15:30She couldn't afford a house. She figured out that even with
- 15:34her down payment that it just wasn't affordable.
- 15:37And to me that's that's really that's the ideal home buyer,
- 15:40right? Eight O 8 credit score really
- 15:42secure, you know, income stream, you know, good down payment.
- 15:45That should be somebody. But she was making a comment
- 15:48that the interest rates had put the the payment up so high that
- 15:50she didn't feel comfortable in doing it.
- 15:52Of course, that's why she has an 808 credit score.
- 15:54How much is? She cautious how much does she
- 15:56make and well how much was the house though, because that.
- 15:58Didn't go into all those details but.
- 15:59Factors into it though, like. She was being genuine when it
- 16:02came to it. And at the end of the the day, I
- 16:04think the interest rates when you're looking at what's what's,
- 16:06what's the average 30 year mortgage right now, 4 1/2, five,
- 16:09no more. Is it more than that?
- 16:10No, it's like 6. What is it?
- 16:12Yeah, six to seven, yeah. Yeah, I mean, that's insane,
- 16:15right? I mean, you look at what that
- 16:16does to a 30 year mortgage, that's almost double when you
- 16:20think about it payment wise, right?
- 16:22Doesn't that double your payment basically from what it would be
- 16:24with normal rates? And, and I don't think Powell
- 16:27cares. Powell doesn't like Donald
- 16:28Trump. I think it's a personal
- 16:30vendetta. I personally believe with agree
- 16:33with Rand, you know, the rands, of course, Rand Paul and Ron
- 16:37Paul. I think we ought to nationalize
- 16:42the Federal Reserve. I think we should end the Fed.
- 16:44I don't like a private institution controlling it.
- 16:47And at the end of the day, you know, I don't blame the, you
- 16:50know, BLS, you know, Donald Trump of course fired him.
- 16:52Everybody went into a big hoopla that he fired somebody, but he
- 16:55fired him for inaccurate numbers and I don't blame him.
- 16:57I don't, I would imagine that this may 'cause somebody to get
- 17:00fired this time also if they're not accurate.
- 17:02But what the damage, you're right, is being funneled down.
- 17:05And I think what's important is we always have to talk about
- 17:07real world impact. You know, you being the gold
- 17:10expert you are, I always want to know what this, what the impact
- 17:12this is going to be on the bullion markets because George
- 17:15and I aren't experienced enough to know that.
- 17:16So, you know, right now gold prices are steady.
- 17:20Of course the inflation dated delayed, you know, and and and
- 17:23no, you know, aggressive Fed interest rate cuts.
- 17:26But gold is at an you know, I think an all time high.
- 17:29Silver isn't back to the hunt brothers prices, but it's as
- 17:33high as it's been in a long time with I think it's what 38 and
- 17:35change. Is that right?
- 17:37Yep, you. Got it.
- 17:37Yeah. So tell me, what do you think
- 17:39the impact of this news and the fact that Powell now will have
- 17:43an excuse not to lower interest rates?
- 17:47Yeah, absolutely. So one thing I would say just
- 17:49about gold as a whole is that people maybe don't realize this
- 17:53because we've been on such a a bull run for medals as of late.
- 17:57But historically gold's best moves come when interest rates
- 18:00come down. So right now, Powell, you know,
- 18:03the fact that interest rates have been staying up gold is
- 18:05people think, oh, well, maybe that's why gold has been going
- 18:07up so much. Actually the opposite.
- 18:08Because when people can get money and they can put their
- 18:12money into ACD, let's say, or Treasury, and then get a great
- 18:15return on that relatively because, you know, rates are
- 18:17high, they're less likely to go into tangibles.
- 18:20So there's less demand. So what we know for a fact is
- 18:23that interest rates won't stay this high forever.
- 18:25Powell will be gone, you know, next year.
- 18:27And then we'll have someone in there that you know, hopefully
- 18:30aligns more with a realistic view of this country's future
- 18:34and interest rates will come down.
- 18:35And when they do, that will be some of the best news you could
- 18:38ever hope for for gold. So as far as rate staying
- 18:41steady, not staying steady, the the answer is gold's going to
- 18:44continue to move positively because of the debt issues, you
- 18:47know, other countries, bricks, etcetera.
- 18:49But as another, you know, match to light the fire of gold's
- 18:53explosion and price, you absolutely know that on the
- 18:55horizon that's going to be very beneficial for you.
- 18:59Well, he's going to lower the he's going to lower the interest
- 19:01rates in September. He's going to drop it some.
- 19:04He has to. There's no, there's, there's no,
- 19:06there's no other way of looking at it because all the numbers
- 19:09that they were looking at, it's just what two people from the
- 19:12board left. Now Trump is replacing them.
- 19:14The question is who's he going to replace?
- 19:16It's Jerome Powell. So I'm saying maybe Scott
- 19:18Besson, who knows. I don't know if he's a great
- 19:21pick for that. We'll find out.
- 19:22But. Well, I, I guess we'll have to
- 19:24wait and see it. You know, the Federal Reserve is
- 19:28one of those loose cannons. But I think the case, the case
- 19:31here really is that even though short term is inflation is going
- 19:34to push on gold for the moment, I think the case is still long
- 19:38term bullish, don't you think? Of course, gold's up what, 37 or
- 19:428% year to date for the last 12 months, is that correct?
- 19:45Yep, 36 1/2 percent. Yeah, you're absolutely right.
- 19:49And then the long term case, we haven't had any big, you know
- 19:52the people always talk about what gold and silver is being
- 19:56mined and there haven't been any really big reserves found,
- 19:59right. There haven't been any big new
- 20:00mining properties or new discoveries, correct?
- 20:03No, that's correct. I'm glad you asked that.
- 20:04So we, we do have incredible technology that's able to scan
- 20:08the Earth's crust for metals. And it's, it's good to a good to
- 20:12a point it, it can generally identify where there is gold,
- 20:15but it's not great identifying exactly how much.
- 20:17And one of the things that we found is, is general estimations
- 20:20for how much, you know, gold and silver we have, we're finding
- 20:23these deposits and they're much smaller than we had anticipated.
- 20:26So what that means in layman's terms is there's less gold and
- 20:30silver than we thought. And as you know, as anyone with
- 20:32an economics, you know, has ever been to an economics class in
- 20:35their life or just been around the block, you know, supply and
- 20:38demand. And so as we find out that
- 20:40there's less gold and silver, it's a finite resource.
- 20:42We're not going to, it's not like the Fed where they're just
- 20:44going to make more of it. So once we're out, once there's
- 20:47no more to be mined, it is a you have or you do not have.
- 20:51Well you know what? Never say never because look at
- 20:54let's say diamonds, right? How they make lab grown diamonds
- 20:58now they take it from a little piece of diamond like a crumb.
- 21:02They just expedite the process of what it would be in the earth
- 21:04to make it, you know, so you never know what gold is.
- 21:07Anything's possible. They'll probably, they might
- 21:09come up with it one day. You know, gold.
- 21:11Gold's actually not even native to the planet.
- 21:13It's from asteroids. This is true.
- 21:15Look this up. It's from they they slam into
- 21:17the Earth and that's where the deposits of gold come through.
- 21:19It does not naturally occurring. That is crazy.
- 21:22I never knew that. I actually didn't know that
- 21:24we're sitting at what, 3300 high 80s?
- 21:27You might be able to duplicate this somehow, who knows.
- 21:29Yeah. Well, 33180, I'm looking at the
- 21:34resistance and support. Of course there's been a lot of
- 21:37accumulation in that 3300 and 3533, you know 3333 I should
- 21:44say. The question is what do you
- 21:46think is going to what's the next breakout level?
- 21:48We're at 3800 and change since we've had so much support and
- 21:52consolidation at those numbers, where do you think the next
- 21:55level is? You know, George thinks we're
- 21:58way past 4000 come the end of the year. 3800.
- 22:03Oh, is that what you? Is that your last prediction 30?
- 22:05838, yeah. Well, you're you, you know, OK,
- 22:09So what do you think? What do you think for?
- 22:11The end of the year or just what the general receipt?
- 22:13End of the year. The end of the year, I mean, so
- 22:17whenever I get this question, the the answer is twofold
- 22:19because a lot of the things I mean we can have tomorrow, we
- 22:23can come out and bring, you know, or next month or you know
- 22:25what not they can have the bricks forum and and things can
- 22:27change dramatically. So I look at it as, you know, of
- 22:31course there's going to be steady growth and that 3800 is
- 22:33probably a pretty reasonable expectation for the end of the
- 22:35year. But the real moves in in gold
- 22:38and silver will come when the things that we're waiting for
- 22:41occur, and that is bricks. That's, you know, you know,
- 22:44really rapid de dollarization we're experiencing or obviously,
- 22:48you know, a, a real fiscal disaster here with the, the Fiat
- 22:51currency. So any of those I, I look at it
- 22:53not in the stretch of, of, you know, one year, six months, but
- 22:56in the stretch of, you know, 25, you know, 10 years.
- 22:59And what is it doing over that? Because those singular events
- 23:03will manifest in much greater returns than any one thing.
- 23:06And and with that, you're either early to that or you're late to
- 23:09that, right? Well, let's talk about for a
- 23:11minute. Even though Trump, of course,
- 23:13this new executive order on four O 1 KS and hard assets, which
- 23:17opens up the door for more investing.
- 23:19You guys have been way ahead of the curve.
- 23:20You got a product that allows people to invest in their four O
- 23:251K or their IRA in in hard assets to get delivered right to
- 23:29their house. Maybe give people a little bit
- 23:30of that background just so they understand how that product
- 23:33works. And maybe even touch on, I know
- 23:38it's hard to because each each case is individual, but I guess
- 23:41touch on, I know last time Jonathan was on the show, he
- 23:44thought that everybody should be, if they are investing in
- 23:46bullion, it should be 70% silver, 30% gold.
- 23:50Now I know you guys also carry platinum and Palladium.
- 23:52So if you think exposure to those assets is important, maybe
- 23:56pepper a little of that in there.
- 23:58Sure, sure, absolutely. So in, in terms of exposure, you
- 24:01would really just look at and, and you know why you would maybe
- 24:04go heavier in silver than gold, you know, like a 7030 split or
- 24:07so is you would look at the historic tie insurance between
- 24:12gold and silver. You're looking anywhere from
- 24:14from 15 when it was when gold was tied here to the dollar was
- 24:18tied to gold all the way up to about 3035 here historically.
- 24:22So 35 ounces to 15 ounces is a pretty reasonable place for
- 24:26silver to equal gold. Now at this current juncture, we
- 24:29find ourselves closer to 8090. So what does that tell us?
- 24:31Tells us one of two things, either gold is tremendously
- 24:35overvalued or silver is tremendously undervalued.
- 24:37And every technical indicator, every fundamental indicator we
- 24:40have would say that gold is in fact not overvalued.
- 24:43It's it's really, it's undervalued.
- 24:45But silver in particular, then the only logical conclusion
- 24:48there is silver is dramatically, dramatically undervalued.
- 24:51And there's a lot of explanations on that, that that
- 24:53we can get into if we had more time.
- 24:55But you look at even things like the JP Morgan silver lawsuit,
- 24:58the paper silver lawsuit and why that's staying down.
- 25:01At some point though, that does materialize and you can see that
- 25:04come back more into the historic norms at which point you're
- 25:07talking about just to, to fall in line with that, you know, 15
- 25:11to 30 oz to 1 ounce of gold ratio.
- 25:14That's a, you know, a 2 to 300% return.
- 25:16So, you know, when that happens, no one has a crystal ball, but
- 25:20certainly I'd like to be there when it does.
- 25:22As far as platinum and Palladium, in niche
- 25:24circumstances, for investors that want to be really
- 25:28categorically separated, we can definitely help with that.
- 25:31But as a rule of thumb for most general investors, they're going
- 25:34to stick to gold and silver. They're a little more reliable
- 25:36and less volatile. You know, there's been a lot of
- 25:38stuff in the press that there's a shortage of platinum because
- 25:42of its uses, you know, medical equipment, electronics.
- 25:46Any thought that you think that that's going to that that that
- 25:49disparity in the industrial, the industrial needs is going to is
- 25:52going to be, is that starting to really impact the price right
- 25:54now? Yeah, absolutely.
- 25:57We're definitely seeing some of that.
- 25:59We're still waiting because there's a a report coming out
- 26:01talking about abundance of of platinum.
- 26:03So we're kind of waiting on that before we make any large scale
- 26:06determinations on, on price predictions there.
- 26:09But you're right, the the industrial use of platinum is
- 26:11widespread and will continue to be widespread.
- 26:14But on the flip side, you've got silver as well, which you know
- 26:17they believe the Samsung here that just came out with a new
- 26:20battery takes a kilo per battery.
- 26:22It's more effective in in every single way than the lithium ion
- 26:24batteries. I would, I would make a pretty
- 26:26strong suggestion that that in fact fully replaces the lithium
- 26:30ion battery in the next 5 to 10 years.
- 26:32So that'll be a dramatic increase in the amount of silver
- 26:35that we're utilizing and therefore a demand or a demand
- 26:38increase. Silver in the battery, Yes.
- 26:40Tell them Lance. Well, there's no doubt that
- 26:43Samsung technology, there's a couple of big manufacturers that
- 26:46I know are looking at embracing that technology because of
- 26:49course the efficiency of the battery.
- 26:51I think you can charge the entire battery in under 10
- 26:53minutes is what they're claiming.
- 26:55And and my understanding is you can add about 300 miles of
- 26:59distance drive because the battery's that much more
- 27:02efficient. Now, I don't know if that's 100%
- 27:03true. That's some of the early
- 27:04reporting. Like, you know, I don't know if
- 27:06they've got real world tests in different models of cars or not,
- 27:10but let's talk about silver, the Silver's 38 and change.
- 27:14You know, we've heard that there's a shortage and that the
- 27:19shortage is going to get worse. A bunch of people are saying
- 27:22even though silver fell a little bit, I know it came back pretty
- 27:25quickly and there seems to be a ton of support.
- 27:28I don't think we're going to see the high 20s anymore, that's for
- 27:31sure. A lot of people are talking the
- 27:32basement really anymore is about 33 or $34.
- 27:36I don't know if that's true on your end or what you think.
- 27:39Let's talk about the green energy.
- 27:43You know, of course lots of needs for silver and that just
- 27:45like you mentioned EVs, do you think the lack of any new real
- 27:50big deposits around the globe, what do you see maybe over the
- 27:54next 12 months for silver? What's what are your thoughts on
- 27:57where it's going to head? Right, absolutely.
- 27:59And just to touch base on on one thing you'd said there a moment
- 28:02ago about the consolidation we're seeing with silver.
- 28:05The reason this is very different than the last time we
- 28:07saw all time silver highs is you're seeing much more of a
- 28:11growth and then consolidation pattern, which is not something
- 28:14we saw in silver's last bull run.
- 28:16It was much more of a fanatical response to actually gold's you
- 28:20know massive drive there. So we're seeing a much more
- 28:22consistent growth in that, which is a great sign for the long
- 28:25term performance of silver as opposed to it just being, you
- 28:28know, a addish growth. So that's a great sign.
- 28:31In terms of the, the the growth on silver, I think that we're
- 28:35looking at at well over $40 obviously in the next month or
- 28:39so. And then once you break that
- 28:41$40, a lot of this, particularly with every $10 you see a
- 28:45psychological barriers, at least that's the historical trend on
- 28:48these. So you tend to see with gold, it
- 28:50was 2000, right when it broke 2000 people didn't really it's
- 28:53too high, it's too high. Then once it got to, you know,
- 28:552120220300, eventually people started saying, you know, wait a
- 28:59minute, this doesn't seem to be slowing down.
- 29:01And here we are at 3200. So you see those at every check
- 29:04mark. That's just human psychology.
- 29:06Once you see that $40 break, you should see a lot of growth
- 29:09there. Yeah, regrets.
- 29:12Most people have regrets. They look back and say why
- 29:14didn't I buy it at the 18-19 hundred or the 2100?
- 29:17But you know, you're going to keep doing that as it's moving
- 29:20right now. We'd love to have the Hunt
- 29:21Brothers back in the mix. I mean, they pushed silver damn
- 29:23near up to 48 or $49.00. I don't think it quite made 50
- 29:27before their whole House of Cards came tumbling down, but I
- 29:30think that was a 700% increase for where silver was before they
- 29:34started to go after that market. You know, the, the audience in
- 29:39general, we, we, a lot of them talk about silver because they
- 29:42like, you know, because of course the price entry point is
- 29:44reasonable. If somebody comes to you, you
- 29:47know, we always talk about diversification for safety.
- 29:51Do you feel, feel like there's a perfect age, you know, you know,
- 29:56section of the, of the demographic where people should
- 29:59be transferring, they're getting close to retirement?
- 30:02Is there an age group that you feel like it's more important
- 30:05than for them to be, you know, of course risk averse and and
- 30:08look at hard assets like silver and gold?
- 30:11Well, certainly. So one of the ways I would frame
- 30:13it, for instance, is let's say you're someone who has a pension
- 30:16and Social Security and so your income is fixed there.
- 30:19Maybe you get, you know, COLA adjustments on your Social
- 30:21Security, but ultimately your your income is going to be fixed
- 30:24there for the rest of your life. Now, if inflation is
- 30:27dramatically going to continue to affect you at some point,
- 30:30what is good for you now will not be good for you long term,
- 30:33right? That won't be enough.
- 30:34So you're going to want something that will grow
- 30:37alongside this inflation that obviously is a tremendous place
- 30:40for gold. So generally really that's
- 30:42retirees, people close to retirement who don't want to see
- 30:45the big swings in the market. They don't want to see a repeat
- 30:47of 2008. Now don't get me wrong, I think
- 30:50everybody should have gold or silver and whether you're you're
- 30:5220 or or or 90. But at the same time, certainly
- 30:56the people that need to have gold and silver in a portfolio
- 30:59in order to diversify are going to the be people that are in the
- 31:02latter stages, retirement or near retirement.
- 31:04Yeah, I've got you. And I think that's important
- 31:07advice. We always talk about it on the
- 31:09show that diversification is where your safety is, right?
- 31:12The fact that you don't want to be overweighted at any
- 31:14particular asset. We talk about crypto a lot and
- 31:17all the other markets. OK, I know we're getting heading
- 31:21short to a break here, George. We are.
- 31:24I was, I was texting Jonathan that he lost and he's like what?
- 31:28I'm like, yeah, I got the I got on video.
- 31:30He couldn't believe it. All right, you know, I told him,
- 31:33I says I put him on a spot, says I told him You don't want to
- 31:35disappoint the big, big mafia and every all our listeners.
- 31:39So, listeners, just. Start my money.
- 31:41All right. No, listen, he, he promised me
- 31:45way before you're in a picture and you know.
- 31:48George has been working him on that gold prep for Barb for a
- 31:50long time. He's.
- 31:51Been that, you know, trying to be that slick Brit.
- 31:53I'm going to call him, you know, so he gave a challenge.
- 31:56He lost. There's witnesses again.
- 31:59I don't want to have to go to California and Nevada and just
- 32:01walk in the office and have to. I don't know, the odds on Polly
- 32:04Market are not good at him coming off any gold.
- 32:06You know, he holds on to that gold like he's a leprechaun.
- 32:08All right, let's go ahead. And I know you.
- 32:11I know you've got a quick read. You got to do George's

- 39:40I'll take it Right to block trust IRA, but not now after the
- 39:43show. We got important business to
- 39:44handle. All right, look at that.
- 39:47So you know by Bill, I know you don't have much time left
- 39:50because I know you've got some appointments you've got to make.
- 39:53So I want to get your input on this just before you leave.
- 39:56I think this is a big point bombshell we're supposed to be
- 39:59making ourselves. The, you know, the, the world's
- 40:03capital for crypto. Everybody's been very hopeful
- 40:07about the, the, you know, the change in the SE CS position,
- 40:12the, you know, the, the legislation that Donald Trump,
- 40:15the Clarity Act, the Genius Act and some other policies, I
- 40:20think. Besson, Scott Besson, who's of
- 40:23course the US Treasury Secretary, I think he screwed
- 40:26the pooch today. I think that was absolutely the
- 40:28worst thing he'd have done on an interview.
- 40:31You know, everybody thought that the strategic crypto reserve was
- 40:35some of that was going to be purchased.
- 40:37It was not just going to be assets that had been seized from
- 40:41criminal enterprises moved into a strategic reserve. the US
- 40:44government hasn't done a good job of managing those in
- 40:46general. They've sold a lot of them at
- 40:48bargain basement prices, tons and tons of Bitcoin.
- 40:51It would be worth excessive amounts of money from the Silk
- 40:54Road seizures and other seizures, do you think?
- 40:57Did did Scott Besson screw the pooch here?
- 40:59I mean, what do you think about this comment about how the US is
- 41:02not going to be buying Bitcoin? Well, I, I think it's just a, a
- 41:06very strange backtracking. I think my interpretation of
- 41:10this is that there's something we're missing here because it,
- 41:12it is such AU turn from the, the direction, you know, what the,
- 41:16the administration had put out up to this point.
- 41:18And anytime I see something that goes so against the grain in
- 41:22that way, my next question is why and so screwed the pooch.
- 41:26Absolutely. Is there more to it?
- 41:27I would guess so. Well, I have some answers for
- 41:30you. So first, when Trump announced
- 41:33they're doing crypto reserves, Bitcoin wasn't part of it.
- 41:36It was only XRP, Ethereum, a bunch of others.
- 41:38And when like, you know, people start complaining, they added
- 41:42Bitcoin. So it's no surprise.
- 41:44But also Trump with Trump Media Group, they have Bitcoin
- 41:48reserves. So, you know, if people start
- 41:51selling off and then all of a sudden he announces that, all
- 41:53right, we're going to, we're going to start buying it.
- 41:56How much money are you going to make?
- 41:57And everybody else, there's always an angle.
- 41:59There's always something here. So it was never really begin.
- 42:02It was never really to be Bitcoin in reserves anyway.
- 42:05It was added on to it. So it's not, it's not no
- 42:07surprise, but whether they continue to do it or not, just
- 42:10everybody's going to make money. Well, the Bitcoin, the Bitcoin
- 42:13Maxis, I think they're, they've got their panties in it and.
- 42:17I have a feeling though. They're clenching right now
- 42:20because this goes against everything they had hoped for.
- 42:22I agree with you. He did mention XRP, Solana and
- 42:25Ethereum in the very beginning. He didn't mention Bitcoin.
- 42:28And then of course, he circled back, I think Eric Trump and
- 42:31Donald Trump Junior said, oh, wait a minute, you can't do
- 42:33that. The Bitcoin Maxis, I don't know
- 42:35what happened. Of course, he added it after the
- 42:36fact. Now, some people on the other
- 42:38side of the crypto aisle, this would be the last thing, Bill.
- 42:40And then I know you got to go XRP, Solana and Ethereum, those
- 42:43people are rejoicing. They are thinking that the
- 42:47acquisition, we've heard a lot of rumors, not really SO20022
- 42:51the SWIFT system who's going to be replacing.
- 42:54Some people think it's going to be link, other people think it's
- 42:58it's XRP. We know there's 3300 agreements
- 43:01that have never been publicly announced because of the SEC
- 43:04case. XRP has made those agreements
- 43:07with lots of institutions and banks and countries around the
- 43:11globe. So I don't know.
- 43:12We'll see what happens. We'll keep an eye on this.
- 43:14Bills. Thank you so very much for
- 43:16joining us today, man. Hopefully, we'll have you longer
- 43:18next time. Appreciate your input and good
- 43:20luck on closing those deals. Brother with that slave driver
- 43:23Rose over there, you got it. He's going to be cracking the
- 43:26whip. He is always cracking the whip
- 43:28but that's what makes him good at this, That's what makes our
- 43:30team great at this as we we work very, very hard.
- 43:32Yeah, you guys do a great job. Our customers that have signed
- 43:35up with you, they love you guys. They load the they love the low
- 43:37pressure environment. So don't forget, maybe ask for
- 43:40Bill when you call over, don't forget to let him know the Big
- 43:41Mink show. You can head over to block
- 43:43trustira.com. You can head over to the big
- 43:45minkbar.com. You can head over to the big
- 43:47Mink gold.com that'll get you over to the IRA tools.
- 43:51But pretty much everything there, you can do it all.
- 43:54Ask for Bill, tell him the big Mink show sent you.
- 43:56Thanks again, man. We appreciate that you.
- 43:58Bill, you want to go for a third time's a charm?
- 44:00We did it twice around. It doesn't make any difference.
- 44:03You already won. I know, but we just want to do
- 44:06it for our audience. Why not come?
- 44:07On let's do it all. Right here we go 123, break me
- 44:11off a piece of that prepper bar. All right, man, I love it for
- 44:16being such a good boy at work. Appreciate you.
- 44:18All right, All right, So listen, you know Scott Besson, I think
- 44:26he screwed the pooch. They're not going to be buying
- 44:29that declared flatly during that interview.
- 44:33We've got the clip I think, George, don't we?
- 44:35No. No, we should try to grab that.
- 44:38I should have put that in there. Let me let me drag it over you
- 44:40kind of just go on with the story from it.
- 44:41Let me just grab it you. Don't have to grab it.
- 44:43What do you want? I have it on my laptop computer.
- 44:45Which one you want, Scott? Was going to say just the just
- 44:47that interview clip we had where he's talking about that I'll.
- 44:52Get it? Don't worry, you just keep
- 44:53going, keep talking. I'll get, I'll grab.
- 44:55It yeah. So look, this is a stark pivot.
- 44:58I mean, you know, the hype of a Bitcoin moon mission and that
- 45:02the US government was going to be actively buying Bitcoin was
- 45:05the assumption everybody made that they were going to be
- 45:08actively buying Ethereum, Solana, XRP as part of this
- 45:12strategic reserve. One guy on social media popped
- 45:17out with FU Besant. Yeah, he he wasn't that's dark
- 45:23came from dark Soulja 3323. Then then then of course,
- 45:29another guy comes out and said he just really pissed off all
- 45:32the crypto holders that voted for Trump.
- 45:36Another post raged on about now. Some people rejoiced and they
- 45:42said now you know, the end game is XRP.
- 45:46Is that true? I don't know, We'll have to see.
- 45:48Well, go ahead, George. So I wouldn't get too much of an
- 45:55frenzy about this because I'm telling you, buy, buy in the dip
- 46:00of Bitcoin and watch. You're going to make money and
- 46:01you're going to thank me later. Just buy, buy into the dip
- 46:05because already went to 124, whatever's down now 1/19/18,
- 46:08whatever, buy into the dip and you're going to make money
- 46:11within a week or two and you're going to say, damn, I love
- 46:13George. Here's the deal.
- 46:16You don't have to just buy Bitcoin.
- 46:18Go over to Block Trust IRA and you can actually buy in there
- 46:21and they use AI to trade it. They're doing much better than a
- 46:24buy and hold strategy. So if nothing else, go over
- 46:27there and get educated that Block Trust IRA product.
- 46:29Animus Technologies won an award from Bitcoin Magazine in 2023.
- 46:34They run $1,000,000 in seed capital.
- 46:36They competed I think against 1500 other companies.
- 46:39It's an amazing product and they trade 60 different cryptos, but
- 46:42the AI cryptos they trade currently are Etherium and
- 46:46Bitcoin. Soon.
- 46:47I hear XRP. They haven't done it yet.
- 46:49They're not rolling XRP yet. But I heard his comment.
- 46:51So in Etherium a lot of people are pretty optimistic.
- 46:54Etherium hitting all time highs but digital gold?
- 46:57I don't know. There might be a pause here.
- 46:59Institutional buying in the ETFs took a hit right after Besson
- 47:02opened his trap. You know, he said no taxpayer
- 47:07funded crypto gambling, tweeted hedge fund analyst Bull Vision.
- 47:12You know that now they're going to rely on seizures.
- 47:15I have the clip if you want it. Yeah, let's, let's, let's hear
- 47:18it from the horse's mouth, of course, for the audience all.
- 47:20Right, here we go. You're talking about number way
- 47:24above 750 billion. What's the story on Gold You?
- 47:29Know we we've got this the large gold holding I I doubt we're
- 47:32going to revalue it, but we are we are going to keep it there
- 47:36again as a store of value for the American people.
- 47:39We've also started A to get into the 21st century a Bitcoin
- 47:45strategic reserve. We're not going to be buying
- 47:47that, but we are going to use confiscated assets and continue
- 47:53to build that up. We're going to stop selling
- 47:55that. You know, I, I believe that
- 47:57Bitcoin reserve at today's prices is, is somewhere between
- 48:0115 and 20 billion. That's it. 1520 billion should
- 48:07be a lot more. That's why they sold a lot of
- 48:10it, stupidly, the Silk Road stuff, a lot of that got
- 48:12liquidity. You know what prior?
- 48:13To this decision by the administration.
- 48:16That's not counting the money that that the like the DA still
- 48:20has a Bitcoin they're holding from seizures.
- 48:24Yeah, there's a couple of the seizures.
- 48:26They are Homeland Security. That's not that's not including
- 48:28that. It should be a lot more.
- 48:30But listen, I like to keep track of it to see who's who dipped
- 48:34into it. You know, I don't trust him, but
- 48:38we're going to. Keep you on top of this,
- 48:39especially when keeping with the.
- 48:40Gold in Fort Knox What gold? Where is the gold in Fort Knox?
- 48:43There is no. Gold.
- 48:44He wasn't going to revalue the gold.
- 48:46Did you hear him say that? Because what?
- 48:48Did you hear him say he wasn't going to revalue?
- 48:51That. Asset, yeah, keeping it that
- 48:53$60.00 an ounce, I think what George?
- 48:55And I'll take all of it at 60 an ounce.
- 48:58But of course, you know, it's always about, I think fortune
- 49:00favors the informed is my opinion.
- 49:03So if you like what you're hearing on this show, you'll
- 49:05probably love our Crypto Power Hour.
- 49:07We do this show at 1:00 PM. We usually try to get the
- 49:10Genesis gold guys on to participate as long as they can.
- 49:13They're awfully busy over there, which tells you how good the
- 49:16market is for what they're providing at the end of the day.
- 49:18Also, we've got the crypto power hour, 3:00 PM Wednesday and
- 49:22Friday, every Wednesday and Friday, crypto power.
- 49:24Now, George says we might be changing the time.
- 49:27Rumble would like us to maybe move it to a new time slot
- 49:29because they'd like it in a busier slot because it's doing
- 49:31so well. It's the number one crypto show
- 49:33on Rumble right now. So if you want to get educated,
- 49:37this is spot to be for finance. Let's talk about bricks in 2025,
- 49:41Jordan navigating tariffs, you know, unity, economic shifts.
- 49:47You know, Donald Trump says he's not going to allow this to
- 49:49happen. He's not going to allow anybody
- 49:51to undermine the US dollar as the Petro dollar or otherwise.
- 49:55What do you think, man? World?
- 49:56You know, I think the world's grappling with a lot of
- 49:58escalating trade tensions, a lot of kinetic events.
- 50:02What do you think? Well, you know, Trump's, it's
- 50:06Trump's meeting with Putin today, you know, over Ukraine.
- 50:09And he's there in Alaska. I'm pretty sure Brexit is going
- 50:12to be brought up in this conversation and Trump be like,
- 50:16yo, Vlad, what are you trying to do, man?
- 50:18Why are you trying to undermine our US money?
- 50:20So listen, as long as there are strong leaders in this country
- 50:26who are leading it, I don't think BRICS is going to do what
- 50:29it what people think it's going to do.
- 50:31I'm not worried about it. As long as we have strong
- 50:34leaders. We have weak leaders and they
- 50:36see that weakness, of course they're going to pray on that
- 50:38weakness. Look at the last four years, for
- 50:40example. And there's been other times,
- 50:42but you know, bricks is bricks. You can't.
- 50:45I, I can never mock a country for trying to do something that
- 50:48they, you know, they do. Personally countries.
- 50:53I said, well, a country for doing it.
- 50:54So that means any country. But but look, hold on.
- 50:58I think United States should should actually go back to the
- 51:01gold standard. I agree.
- 51:04So maybe if United States said hell with it, let's just join
- 51:10bricks and lead bricks. What do you think?
- 51:12What do you think would happen? We couldn't do that because it
- 51:15the damage it would do to our dollar as far as being the the
- 51:18Petro dollar currency would be huge.
- 51:21We have a solution for the $37 trillion in debt for the Federal
- 51:24Reserve. Do we have a solution for that?
- 51:26I don't know. But of course, for everybody out
- 51:28in the audience might not be familiar with bricks, you have
- 51:29to look at the alliance. You've got Brazil, Russia,
- 51:31India, China and South Africa for the initial countries, but a
- 51:35lot of it's expanded in recent years and there's more countries
- 51:38joining. You got Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran,
- 51:41Saudi Arabia, you know, United Arab Emirates.
- 51:44So you got to look that BRICS now actually represents as an
- 51:48institution 40% of the global population.
- 51:51So that's that's a significant share of the world GDP when you
- 51:54think about it, right? So I think there's no doubt I
- 51:58agree with you, strong leadership can slow this down.
- 52:01The question is US tariffs, are they pushing BRICS nations?
- 52:06You know, maybe sparking what I would consider a unified
- 52:09response, maybe even a bold escalation because of the tariff
- 52:12position That I think is justified.
- 52:14I think we've been screwed over on tariffs for a very long time.
- 52:17But these nations are using it as a way to say to each other,
- 52:20well, we can't let them continue to do this.
- 52:23But he's demanding these trade concessions.
- 52:25This is what they're saying, not what I'm saying.
- 52:27And I think that's pushing the bridge, the BRICS nations closer
- 52:31where there has been some division.
- 52:33You know, China didn't go to the last meeting.
- 52:35Russia didn't go to the last meeting, probably because they
- 52:38were in negotiation over tariffs and didn't want to poke the
- 52:41lion. You know, they didn't want to
- 52:42poke the beast. So what do you think with the
- 52:46with tariffs being in play, do you think that maybe is making
- 52:49the BRICS nations kind of huddle together and say, you know, we
- 52:52can't put up with this? Well, listen, China is trying
- 53:02to, China's trying to come, come to a deal with US with the
- 53:06tariffs. So I don't know if it's if it's
- 53:08a play. I mean people that are like
- 53:10India's having, you know, I'm surprised India hasn't made a
- 53:13deal. What are they waiting on?
- 53:14What are they doing? I don't know.
- 53:16But Brazil is Brazil, Russia. I think part of the, you know,
- 53:23when Trump today and whenever he's talking to Putin, and part
- 53:25of the that's going to be part of the talks too, is tariffs.
- 53:29Trump wants to make a deal. He wants to get this war ended
- 53:33because for a lot of reasons, one, it's sending all our money
- 53:38weapons is it's not economically feasible anymore.
- 53:43It's better for the world. But another third, more
- 53:45important fact, Trump wants that for his ego and to get that
- 53:48Pulitzer Prize because that will seal the deal.
- 53:51And, you know, he wants that. What, Out of doubt 'cause you
- 53:55know, yeah, I don't disagree with you.
- 53:57You know, I think Ukraine lost the way the day it started.
- 54:00But you know, when you look at bricks, right, and you look at
- 54:02how these nations are operating almost like a second NATO in
- 54:05their own way, you know, you look at that sneaky Brazilian
- 54:09President bastard. You know, Lula da Silva, I don't
- 54:13like him. I think he was installed.
- 54:15I think he cheated, but, you know, he's pushing the nation's
- 54:19behind the scenes. He's been engaged in phone calls
- 54:21with many of the nations trying to tell him we have to de
- 54:23dollarize sooner. We have to push for a BRICS
- 54:26currency sooner to facilitate trade between our countries.
- 54:30You know, So when you've got somebody like that, you know,
- 54:33you know, squeaking into everybody's ear, you have to
- 54:35wonder, right? And of course, they don't like
- 54:36the tariffs because they've been getting away with screwing us
- 54:39for so many decades over tariffs.
- 54:43But now you've got a new development.
- 54:44The bank announces they're guaranteed fund to boost
- 54:46financing the bricks back new Development Bank.
- 54:50They're set to launch a new guarantee fund aimed at reducing
- 54:53financing costs and attracting private investments for
- 54:55infrastructure projects in member states.
- 54:58Now, as timely as that is, it makes me wonder, you know,
- 55:02what's Donald Trump's big play? He's been meeting with Brad
- 55:05Garlinghouse. Brad Garlinghouse after the SEC
- 55:08settlement just got named to a board of advisors in the White
- 55:11House for crypto. And I'm wondering, is this all
- 55:15part of this change over to the ISO 20022, you know, getting rid
- 55:19of SWIFT? Is this maybe a response?
- 55:22Because I don't think they can lower the rates low enough to
- 55:25compete with decentralized finance, George.
- 55:27And of course, Donald Trump's been very vocal about making us
- 55:30the central hub for the crypto, you know, metaverse or universe,
- 55:35call it whatever you want. That's his plan now.
- 55:37I, I think Scott Besson sent us back today.
- 55:40I think that was a bad choice on his part.
- 55:42But what do you think? Do you think even if this bank,
- 55:45this initiative through the, the, the new Development Bank, I
- 55:49don't think this is almost too little too late for me because
- 55:51of what's going on with, you know, the SWIFT system and XRP
- 55:55and the other, the other coins that are in that system and the
- 55:57changeover. That's a tough call.
- 56:02I mean, I, I have to agree with you on that.
- 56:05I don't, I think it is too late. You know, when we're talking
- 56:09about just for example, like, you know, going to the gold
- 56:12standard, they won't, they won't do it in this country and they
- 56:18won't get rid of the swift and go back to the gold, at least
- 56:21not the gold standard because there is no gold.
- 56:22So there's no standard to go with it.
- 56:24That's the problem. But I think lands like the the
- 56:28wave of the future and people see it is, you know,
- 56:31decentralized and that's where that's where we're headed.
- 56:34Whether anybody, whether the government likes or not, where
- 56:37there's a well, there's a way with people when we want
- 56:38something, when we want to get it done, they'll get it done.
- 56:42That's it. Can't can't, you know, that's
- 56:45what I'm sorry, I'm just trying to fix something.
- 56:49No, are things I actually. Agree with you.
- 56:51So, you know, I think when you look at an era, I think we're in
- 56:53an era of fracturing alliances, you know, of course, and rising
- 56:56protectionism. There's many countries that are,
- 56:59you know, going eat, going introverted.
- 57:01I think brick stands as a beacon for emerging economies.
- 57:05I think they're proving that the collective action, you know, can
- 57:07counter unilateral dominance. I think the US has taken
- 57:10advantage of a lot of these countries in many ways,
- 57:12petrodollars and otherwise. But I don't think this is an
- 57:15instant fix. And I don't think China wants to
- 57:18rock the boat with Donald Trump. I think they're worried about
- 57:20the consequences of those actions.
- 57:22They haven't come to the table with guaranteeing they're not
- 57:24going to be shipping precursor chemicals for, you know,
- 57:28methamphetamine, fentanyl and car fentanyl yet.
- 57:31Hopefully that's part of the negotiation.
- 57:33But right now, Donald Trump is meeting with one of the most
- 57:36powerful members of Bricks. Of course, Russia and Alaska is
- 57:39meeting with Putin. And, you know, those guys have
- 57:41always had a great relationship. They've always been able to get
- 57:44down to the chase sooner than later because they understand
- 57:47each other. They respect each other.
- 57:49You've seen the mutual respect. That can't be good for Bricks no
- 57:52matter what. So we'll keep an eye on this.
- 57:54We'll let you know. In the meantime, I think we're
- 57:57out of time for this show for now, of course, the Global
- 58:01Finance Forum powered by Genesis Gold Group.
