- 3:49Speaker 1: you know, they be like, oh, we're just gonna do
- 3:51Speaker 1: a little something and then it'd be like a spread
- 3:54Speaker 1: for like four people.
- 3:55Speaker 2: But I'm grateful, you know what I'm saying. I love
- 3:56Speaker 2: me a good uh, a good eating situation.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Oh oh, I don't believe in barbecues without macaroni and cheese,
- 4:05Speaker 1: baked beans, and.
- 4:08Speaker 2: I gotta have tato salad. Potatoes. This is why we
- 4:11Speaker 2: we love each other. This is why I love you. Listen.
- 4:16Speaker 1: It's something about that baked bean potato salam and the
- 4:21Speaker 1: baked beans and the tato selling. Come on, let's just
- 4:25Speaker 1: put your moll.
- 4:29Speaker 2: He hated. No, listen, I just want to Yeah, come
- 4:33Speaker 2: on always, I'm real now, I pull up. Okay, it's
- 4:37Speaker 2: easy this time. You gotta bring the wife. You gotta
- 4:43Speaker 2: bring you gotta bring the wife, he said. I don't care.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Well you bring it a gold place to you. I
- 4:52Speaker 2: hope you'll bring those gold place. Listen. I'm about to
- 4:56Speaker 2: do this so backwards. Do y'all know y'all looking at
- 4:59Speaker 2: right now? This is my brother friend. We in here.
- 5:10Speaker 1: He said he wanted to come back, and I said
- 5:12Speaker 1: yes because this this this this bro, this bro I love.
- 5:16Speaker 1: I love me some Tristan McFarland, but y'all call him
- 5:19Speaker 1: Floss the mac man.
- 5:22Speaker 2: We love you.
- 5:23Speaker 1: But that's one more thing we gotta do, Trisian. Since
- 5:25Speaker 1: you're on the screen, okay, we gotta do the community
- 5:28Speaker 1: highlight and you just you just listen.
- 5:34Speaker 3: I'm in school right now, so.
- 5:37Speaker 1: On the platform, we do the community and highlight. If
- 5:39Speaker 1: you have not been here, do we take people out
- 5:41Speaker 1: of our community and just highlight them. That's what the
- 5:43Speaker 1: community highlight is. And so today's community highlight it goes
- 5:46Speaker 1: to none other than doctor Jay Burns, al of Birmingham, Alabama.
- 5:51Speaker 1: We're super excited for what God has for you. When
- 5:54Speaker 1: I when I looked at your name, I heard three
- 5:56Speaker 1: three words.
- 5:56Speaker 2: Okay.
- 5:58Speaker 1: I heard the Lord say to you, healthy, wealthy, and wise.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Come on, health, wealth and wisdom. Okay, Health, wealth and
- 6:06Speaker 1: wisdom shall be your portion at the same time. Lets
- 6:09Speaker 1: sometimes we look at our lives and we go through
- 6:12Speaker 1: and we trail through like, Oh, I just gonna get wisdom.
- 6:14Speaker 2: Oh, I'm just gonna get well. Oh I'm just gonna
- 6:16Speaker 2: be healthy.
- 6:16Speaker 1: No. I hear the Lord say that this is your
- 6:18Speaker 1: season where he is tripling down on you. Oh my gods,
- 6:21Speaker 1: it's a triple down effect. And so may the Lord
- 6:24Speaker 1: just increase your wisdom, May he increase your wealth, May
- 6:27Speaker 1: he enlarge your territory, and may health be Oh. I
- 6:30Speaker 1: even hear the Lord say, there's been a health scare
- 6:32Speaker 1: more recently than none, but.
- 6:35Speaker 2: There's been a health scare.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Is every I come against every attack on your body,
- 6:40Speaker 1: your mental health, your physical health.
- 6:42Speaker 2: I just come against it and.
- 6:43Speaker 1: I pray healthiness, wholeness, refinement, hallelujah, and may you have
- 6:49Speaker 1: what you are expecting and beyond.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Girl, We love you here, thank you so much.
- 6:54Speaker 1: She was actionally on the podcast last year for our
- 6:57Speaker 1: Mental Health Awareness Month for May. So y'all go check
- 7:01Speaker 1: doctor j Burns how she is a mental health professional.
- 7:04Speaker 1: You guys, So y'all need y'all need some therapy, y'all
- 7:06Speaker 1: need to y'all get your girl up. Okay, we love
- 7:08Speaker 1: you doctor J Burns. Y'all give it up for my girl.
- 7:13Speaker 2: Okay, So that was a community high. You like that,
- 7:16Speaker 2: you appreciate that, beautiful to your heart.
- 7:18Speaker 3: Did It's different when it just it just comes out often.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Come on now, because sometimes people be fake and may
- 7:28Speaker 1: be you know what I'm saying, like I don't you prescripted?
- 7:35Speaker 1: Y'all can already tell what it is about to be
- 7:39Speaker 1: because this is home and we done got over. You
- 7:41Speaker 1: know the proliminary what you got, proliminary preliminary put I said,
- 7:46Speaker 1: polimin you got me because we got to have each
- 7:54Speaker 1: other's baby flowers. Listen, it's been a minute I've been
- 7:59Speaker 1: watching you. You It's so much that has happened, and
- 8:02Speaker 1: it ain't been a full year yet. It has not
- 8:04Speaker 1: been a full year. Tell us how you're doing, bro.
- 8:06Speaker 3: I'm blessed. I mean, I'm here, you know, it's all
- 8:09Speaker 3: I can really hang my hat on. I'm here. I can't.
- 8:12Speaker 3: I don't have nothing to complaining. I got house over
- 8:14Speaker 3: my head, children take care of ye, wife taking care
- 8:17Speaker 3: of and I mean there's nothing I can complain about.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Yeah, is this a season that you've been waiting for?
- 8:23Speaker 1: Because it's like I've been seeing a lot of up
- 8:25Speaker 1: for you, Like it's not you know, last time we
- 8:28Speaker 1: kind of talked about stack like holmost not necessarily you
- 8:32Speaker 1: were stagnant, but it was almost like you were fighting,
- 8:34Speaker 1: like you were trying to just maintain the consistency. And
- 8:38Speaker 1: I just can only imagine as a creative because, like
- 8:41Speaker 1: we said earlier, before we start recording this same for
- 8:45Speaker 1: the week, it's not for the week. And so not
- 8:47Speaker 1: only are you a creative, but you're a comedian. So
- 8:50Speaker 1: to keep continue people, make people laugh, and just providing
- 8:54Speaker 1: the energy that they won't even when you don't maybe
- 8:56Speaker 1: feel like doing it. How has that season been for you?
- 9:00Speaker 1: Because what I've been seeing has been an up season
- 9:03Speaker 1: is that it would that be valid.
- 9:04Speaker 3: The same it has. I mean, that's what I prayed for.
- 9:07Speaker 3: That's what I told myself last year. I said, next year,
- 9:09Speaker 3: I'm gonna get out. I'm gonna travel, I'm gonna do
- 9:11Speaker 3: whatever I need to do to get myself out there
- 9:13Speaker 3: even more, you know, because like it's only so long
- 9:16Speaker 3: as you can be behind the camera. Like at some
- 9:18Speaker 3: point in time, you got to reach out to touch people,
- 9:21Speaker 3: create to reach Some people want to see you in person.
- 9:30Speaker 2: Yeah, not some people, a lot of people because you
- 9:33Speaker 2: selling out events.
- 9:36Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, Like I want to go.
- 9:39Speaker 1: I want to go there quickly, Okay, because I got
- 9:41Speaker 1: something to tell you on net TIB Like I said,
- 9:44Speaker 1: you haven't it hadn't been a full year since we've
- 9:47Speaker 1: done our first episode, right, And in that episode, I
- 9:51Speaker 1: don't know if you remember, but I asked you about
- 9:54Speaker 1: your five year plan do you And one of the
- 9:57Speaker 1: things that you said was that that you would like,
- 10:01Speaker 1: where do you want to be in five years? And
- 10:03Speaker 1: you said that I want to have a show at
- 10:06Speaker 1: the start on and it'd be so loud, And I
- 10:09Speaker 1: think that that's where I think that kind of happened. Recently,
- 10:16Speaker 1: we talked about five years years and it ain't been
- 10:19Speaker 1: a full year yet. Let's go into that, like, how
- 10:21Speaker 1: do we get from wishing and hoping to be at
- 10:25Speaker 1: a Start Home? If y'all don't know what the start
- 10:26Speaker 1: on it's a big comedy club and here in Birmingham, Alabama,
- 10:29Speaker 1: do not sleep on us, Okay, because the Start Home
- 10:32Speaker 1: is that Okay, Ricky smile to be there all the time,
- 10:35Speaker 1: big deal, Okay, big platform, and he said he wanted
- 10:38Speaker 1: to sell it out and it happened. So lead us
- 10:42Speaker 1: to the point like how do we go from wanting
- 10:44Speaker 1: that to actually executing that.
- 10:47Speaker 3: I think it's the worst ethic. It's manifestation as well,
- 10:52Speaker 3: you know, because sometimes you don't even think think about
- 10:54Speaker 3: what you're doing until it actually happens. Like you telling
- 10:58Speaker 3: me that I didn't even remember I said, I didn't.
- 11:02Speaker 3: I mean, it's just sometimes you get so lost in
- 11:04Speaker 3: working so hard and doing what you need to do
- 11:06Speaker 3: to get to where you want to go, that you
- 11:08Speaker 3: forget that you even manifested the stuff that you talk
- 11:10Speaker 3: to me. So it's just it's just a mentality that
- 11:14Speaker 3: I had, man, I just I want to get out
- 11:16Speaker 3: and do more, Like I want to be a household
- 11:19Speaker 3: stand up comedian, not just behind the camera on social media.
- 11:23Speaker 3: I want to be out there. I want to greet
- 11:25Speaker 3: my my fans, my supporters or whatever I want to
- 11:27Speaker 3: see them. I want to be able to, you know,
- 11:29Speaker 3: encourage them and make them laugh in person or whatever
- 11:31Speaker 3: the case may be, because like I said, man, it's
- 11:34Speaker 3: on so long that the behind the camera, the creating,
- 11:36Speaker 3: the creating stuff.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Listen to y'all.
- 11:44Speaker 3: I'm sorry, y'all, listen, this is a safe space. I'm
- 11:50Speaker 3: not gonna do that.
- 11:52Speaker 2: Listen, we are It's okay, It's okay.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Grace, Grace and mercy shall follow you all the days
- 11:57Speaker 1: in your life, and you shall have the wag come on.
- 12:00Speaker 2: House of the Lord forever, you know Jesus and he because.
- 12:06Speaker 1: But no, that that is so good, because sometimes I'm
- 12:11Speaker 1: glad we recorded that. I'm glad we had decision. And
- 12:14Speaker 1: the Lord actually brought that to my uh, to my
- 12:17Speaker 1: memory yesterday, and I was like, hold up, we did
- 12:21Speaker 1: ask him that, and that did happen. And so not
- 12:24Speaker 1: only was I able to rejoice with you from a
- 12:27Speaker 1: place of oh, okay, my boy doing big things, No,
- 12:30Speaker 1: I can rejoice from you when you was, like I said, this,
- 12:33Speaker 1: and it happened. Not only did it happen, but it
- 12:35Speaker 1: happened quickly, weickly.
- 12:37Speaker 2: It happened quickly.
- 12:38Speaker 1: And I love what you said about you know, you're
- 12:40Speaker 1: so focused on on like it's almost like you got
- 12:44Speaker 1: your head down and you focus on working.
- 12:46Speaker 2: You focus on working.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Let's talk about how how do you balance rewarding yourself
- 12:51Speaker 1: while remaining for focus.
- 12:54Speaker 3: To be honest with you, I don't even think I
- 12:55Speaker 3: reward myself like I should.
- 12:57Speaker 2: Let's talk about it.
- 12:57Speaker 3: I really don't. I mean, I just like I said,
- 12:59Speaker 3: I'm just so focused on work, you know, and I
- 13:03Speaker 3: feel like I need that time. I got a big
- 13:06Speaker 3: toenail that I need to clip. I need to go
- 13:10Speaker 3: get a pedicure. You know what I'm saying. I gotta
- 13:12Speaker 3: take care of my feet. You know, I had one
- 13:14Speaker 3: long toenail that need to be cut.
- 13:16Speaker 1: If you, if y'all do feet, please please please tag yourself.
- 13:23Speaker 1: It's please take your Please tag yourself in the commings
- 13:31Speaker 1: because my bro cannot be out here with with with
- 13:34Speaker 1: toenails curled over, because we need these feet to take.
- 13:37Speaker 3: You because you just came from the beach, she was,
- 13:40Speaker 3: I can't even put on come my toenail too long, and.
- 13:43Speaker 2: You can't cut it yourself if you need a machine.
- 13:45Speaker 3: I tried.
- 13:51Speaker 2: Okay, y'all, let's just bring it. Come here, pairs, Can
- 13:56Speaker 2: she come? Can she come? Come here?
- 13:57Speaker 1: Come on my side so you won't get got Let
- 13:59Speaker 1: me right, you want to you want to sit down
- 14:02Speaker 1: the middle. Okay, you want to sit in the middle,
- 14:05Speaker 1: All right, just tell but let her way. You gotta
- 14:09Speaker 1: say something though. Let me let me get this out
- 14:11Speaker 1: so we can get this over with it.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Come on, my name is Paris, and and and what
- 14:21Speaker 2: where where are you today?
- 14:24Speaker 3: Just asked podcast?
- 14:25Speaker 1: Just this is this is this is the one that's
- 14:29Speaker 1: gonna do. Follow her dad's footsteps. All right, sit right here,
- 14:33Speaker 1: you know, just.
- 14:34Speaker 2: Uh, Jessica, don't mind the kids. Just don't mind the kids.
- 14:37Speaker 2: We're really wrong over here.
- 14:38Speaker 1: So that's one of the things that we appreciate about you,
- 14:42Speaker 1: flows because one of the sometimes and when we were
- 14:45Speaker 1: growing up, you talk, let me get this.
- 14:57Speaker 2: But sometimes when we when we grew up, I know,
- 15:02Speaker 2: we're millennials.
- 15:03Speaker 1: When we grew up, we didn't see the families present
- 15:07Speaker 1: in the lives of the entertainer. And so how do
- 15:11Speaker 1: you balance with allowing your family to be present, but
- 15:15Speaker 1: also managing the privacy of your home.
- 15:18Speaker 3: It's just, you know, certain things that I don't show,
- 15:21Speaker 3: you know. I mean, I guess everybody don't have to
- 15:24Speaker 3: know your business, you know, so, but I mean my
- 15:27Speaker 3: wife keeps.
- 15:28Speaker 2: That intact because she she don't play.
- 15:30Speaker 3: She don't play, you know, she is certain things that
- 15:32Speaker 3: she don't want me to show. She don't even like
- 15:34Speaker 3: being on camera. I have to.
- 15:42Speaker 2: You have to ask her.
- 15:44Speaker 3: Yeah, I really have to pull it out of you know,
- 15:46Speaker 3: to the point where I'm getting on the nerves. Okay, yes,
- 15:50Speaker 3: you know. But other than that, it's just, you know,
- 15:53Speaker 3: I mean, I can't really explain. It's just I try
- 15:56Speaker 3: to keep things that don't need to be on social media,
- 15:59Speaker 3: keep that don't people don't need to know out, you know,
- 16:02Speaker 3: out of out of the social media world, because people
- 16:05Speaker 3: will take things and flipping you know how social media
- 16:07Speaker 3: like it's social media is because I mean, if you
- 16:11Speaker 3: say anything about my family, I'm going up, like, if
- 16:14Speaker 3: you're gonna talk about something, talk about me, Come on now,
- 16:17Speaker 3: don't don't talk about you know, my my family, because
- 16:20Speaker 3: I can't deal with that. I crash out that That's
- 16:24Speaker 3: what y'all.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Say, look, look, crash out is a real thing. We
- 16:30Speaker 1: used to say go off, yeah, we'll go off, yeah,
- 16:32Speaker 1: go off, like real bad.
- 16:34Speaker 2: You know what I was thinking. I was just that
- 16:37Speaker 2: I'm so sorry I said what so aggressively. I was
- 16:40Speaker 2: just thinking about slash.
- 16:42Speaker 1: You're right, like people are so mean nowadays, like even recently,
- 16:46Speaker 1: you know, Beyonce has started her tour. I was just
- 16:49Speaker 1: thinking about that, She's bringing her girls out and stuff
- 16:51Speaker 1: like that, and I think their their youngest kids, maybe
- 16:55Speaker 1: like with like six or seven or something like that.
- 16:57Speaker 1: And it's almost kind of like we we are so
- 17:01Speaker 1: endowed in this social media faied lifestyle that we can't
- 17:04Speaker 1: even let kids be kids anymore, you know what I'm saying.
- 17:06Speaker 2: It's like, oh, they need to be pert right, So
- 17:13Speaker 2: I think, like we just have to be mindful.
- 17:17Speaker 1: We have to just be mindful, like you said, of
- 17:21Speaker 1: the things that we allow people to see about our
- 17:23Speaker 1: about our private lives, you know what I'm saying, to
- 17:25Speaker 1: protect them, you know what I'm saying, Because you just
- 17:27Speaker 1: never know. It's on the internet, you know what I'm saying,
- 17:30Speaker 1: So like, once it's out there, it's out there.
- 17:32Speaker 2: I was thinking about even like like if you think about,
- 17:36Speaker 2: like people.
- 17:37Speaker 1: Who are a little bit more risky out there in
- 17:39Speaker 1: the public, think about like how somebody can look back
- 17:44Speaker 1: on that.
- 17:44Speaker 2: So it's like I think that kids also can h developed.
- 17:53Speaker 2: Not gonna say developed words.
- 17:55Speaker 1: I'm just gonna say this, words hurt more than what
- 17:57Speaker 1: people think they are, So just watch them out.
- 18:01Speaker 3: It's crazy, man. It's like when they were talking about
- 18:03Speaker 3: the little girl, I'm like, she ain't.
- 18:05Speaker 2: Nothing, nothing, not anything.
- 18:08Speaker 1: Kimba told me that she she saw something on social
- 18:12Speaker 1: media where a young girl somebody said, is something wrong
- 18:16Speaker 1: with her?
- 18:17Speaker 2: Know, something's wrong with you?
- 18:18Speaker 3: She looked like any other kid that teeth came out
- 18:23Speaker 3: excited to be on saying, look, her mom is Beyonce,
- 18:25Speaker 3: and so she's.
- 18:26Speaker 2: Like, I don't know what. I don't know what this is.
- 18:29Speaker 2: She don't even think that she's irregular. This is normal
- 18:32Speaker 2: for her. And so she's like, oh my gosh, now Blue,
- 18:35Speaker 2: I don't know her mama the person he trying, y'all trying,
- 18:48Speaker 2: But she is that chick, she is that cheek. But
- 18:51Speaker 2: is it rommy or.
- 18:54Speaker 1: She reminds me and my sister did a sick talk recently.
- 18:57Speaker 1: She reminds me of my my younger I'm not a
- 19:01Speaker 1: younger brother, but my nephew Doug, I couldn't figure out
- 19:04Speaker 1: what part of the.
- 19:05Speaker 2: Family was, Like we just know what the blood somebody
- 19:10Speaker 2: somebody in my family.
- 19:11Speaker 1: But like just I would preach because I know everybody
- 19:15Speaker 1: has their different opinions of or research of Beyonce and
- 19:19Speaker 1: all that stuff like that. We can have all opinions
- 19:21Speaker 1: we want, but at the end of the day, you
- 19:23Speaker 1: know motherhood, you know the heartbeat of the entertainer, and
- 19:26Speaker 1: so you can't resist her saying Okay, I applaud her.
- 19:31Speaker 2: I applaud her for bringing on.
- 19:32Speaker 1: Stage and not being ashamed of what's going on, allowing
- 19:37Speaker 1: her to be a child.
- 19:38Speaker 2: Right.
- 19:38Speaker 1: And so I think even with this, even with parents
- 19:41Speaker 1: sitting next to us, I think this is a poor
- 19:43Speaker 1: We got a poor into our kids and just be
- 19:45Speaker 1: unashamed of how the poor looks at the time, and
- 19:48Speaker 1: it looks so listen, I got I'm doing hard switches
- 19:52Speaker 1: because I promise something on social media when we when
- 19:55Speaker 1: I told you that we told them that we were
- 19:57Speaker 1: recording this, right, and.
- 20:00Speaker 2: I did remember I had told you.
- 20:03Speaker 3: Yea coming and said what you said, but it was
- 20:07Speaker 3: on the lines of you didn't ask the right questions
- 20:10Speaker 3: or something.
- 20:10Speaker 1: I figure out what questions that you didn't ask, Like,
- 20:13Speaker 1: we had a great conversation first, Like we learned so much, y'all.
- 20:17Speaker 1: We're gonna tag the first episode with him because we
- 20:21Speaker 1: really get deep and personal.
- 20:22Speaker 2: Right now.
- 20:23Speaker 1: We have a conversation because y'all said he wanted to
- 20:25Speaker 1: come back, and I said, you know what, let's make
- 20:27Speaker 1: it a fan a fan thing, you know.
- 20:29Speaker 2: And so we're gonna get to.
- 20:30Speaker 1: Some of the questions that y'all post, some of them
- 20:32Speaker 1: not gonna ask because y'all kind of like, wows.
- 20:37Speaker 3: It was one of them. It was one of them
- 20:40Speaker 3: that I had.
- 20:41Speaker 2: Why up because you didn't want me. I thought she
- 20:44Speaker 2: said something empty, so you wided it out.
- 20:47Speaker 3: I asked me.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Disrespectful, y'all. Gotta y'all gotta remember that entertainers are human
- 20:55Speaker 1: people like they are human. Y'all can't be going out
- 20:58Speaker 1: here disrespecting folks like you can more things with love, because.
- 21:01Speaker 3: Man, listen, I will literally like go off on somebody
- 21:04Speaker 3: on social media, but I mean, there's no point in
- 21:06Speaker 3: doing it because I'll never see you.
- 21:09Speaker 2: Never.
- 21:10Speaker 3: Even if I do see you, I probably won't know
- 21:12Speaker 3: who you are. I about to know who I am,
- 21:14Speaker 3: but I don't know who you are. You see a
- 21:15Speaker 3: lot of people base your personality or you off your
- 21:19Speaker 3: social media videos. Like people think that these.
- 21:22Speaker 2: Characters like no, no, like they really do, but you
- 21:25Speaker 2: play them right.
- 21:26Speaker 1: So well, okay, before before, before I get to these questions,
- 21:32Speaker 1: I'm finna talk.
- 21:32Speaker 2: I'm not about to get bad at you.
- 21:34Speaker 1: I'm upset with you because why does Angela's name have
- 21:38Speaker 1: to be Angela Smith?
- 21:40Speaker 2: Change her last name?
- 21:41Speaker 3: See, that was just a spur of the moment thing.
- 21:44Speaker 3: Like when I was doing the skit, I was like,
- 21:45Speaker 3: I was thinking of a name because when I looked
- 21:47Speaker 3: at the paper, your name Angela. I looked again and
- 21:49Speaker 3: I said Smith. I mean, it's just sometimes I don't
- 21:52Speaker 3: be thinking about the names. Like before the video, I
- 21:55Speaker 3: just said, I'm sorry.
- 21:57Speaker 2: No, it's it's okay.
- 21:58Speaker 1: But let me tell you, Angela is doing numbers right now,
- 22:02Speaker 1: and Angela, it's hard.
- 22:08Speaker 2: At BG TV, we provide snacks if y'all.
- 22:12Speaker 1: Water.
- 22:14Speaker 2: Jesus, who saw what.
- 22:19Speaker 3: Come on?
- 22:21Speaker 2: But how did how did you come up?
- 22:23Speaker 1: Just do it?
- 22:23Speaker 2: You listen. You were daddy first.
- 22:25Speaker 1: You can't run away from it now now parents, I've
- 22:33Speaker 1: been the rattling. Now we're on the mic, we're gonna
- 22:37Speaker 1: get you kicked out, all right. So Angela, how did
- 22:42Speaker 1: she come about?
- 22:44Speaker 3: To be honest with you? Like, I just be trying
- 22:46Speaker 3: stuff Like I used to be a mental health teach,
- 22:48Speaker 3: like what people call it behavioral health tech. Right, So
- 22:51Speaker 3: I've been around the nurse and home stuff, the behavior
- 22:55Speaker 3: health stuff, I've been around it. So I've seen a
- 22:58Speaker 3: lot of cool, cool people, you know. So I just
- 23:02Speaker 3: was like, man, let me try this. Yeah. And that's
- 23:04Speaker 3: just the same thing that happened with the first video
- 23:06Speaker 3: that I mean, it's just just trying different things, that's
- 23:09Speaker 3: all it is.
- 23:10Speaker 1: So were you because someone asks you let me see
- 23:13Speaker 1: what her name is. It's mill Fina is m I
- 23:17Speaker 1: L F I A N N A underscore shout out
- 23:22Speaker 1: to you? She was asking did you really do She said,
- 23:25Speaker 1: do you really work for a site?
- 23:27Speaker 2: W ward? Ward? I can't get encouraged me. She said,
- 23:35Speaker 2: do you really work for a site war? And I
- 23:37Speaker 2: know the answer to do is no.
- 23:40Speaker 1: But previously speaking the site I know there's difference between
- 23:43Speaker 1: the behavior health or spaces nursing home and the site war.
- 23:47Speaker 1: Have you ever physically been in a psyche war don't
- 23:50Speaker 1: have the work, okay, so how long did you do that?
- 23:52Speaker 3: For six years?
- 23:55Speaker 2: That's why you play that character too well.
- 23:56Speaker 3: I loved it like it was. I mean, of course
- 23:59Speaker 3: you got bad, but they just wanted to be treated
- 24:03Speaker 3: like humans.
- 24:04Speaker 2: Right, because they are humans.
- 24:05Speaker 1: Because when we think about mental health and this, and
- 24:08Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you the truth about it. So when
- 24:09Speaker 1: I first encountered the Angela character, right, I don't know
- 24:13Speaker 1: if I didn't know if I could digest it because
- 24:15Speaker 1: I know my bloodline has experienced levels of mental health. Right,
- 24:21Speaker 1: maybe not to the level of Angela. If y'all don't
- 24:26Speaker 1: know this Angela character, she's in a trench coat. She
- 24:30Speaker 1: normally wears this nappy curly wig with a hat or something,
- 24:34Speaker 1: and she got buck teeth, okay, and he plays her
- 24:38Speaker 1: very well.
- 24:39Speaker 2: So I was like, ooh, I don't know, I don't
- 24:42Speaker 2: know if this is gonna trigger me, you know.
- 24:44Speaker 1: But then I had to take a step back and say,
- 24:46Speaker 1: you know what, the people that work in the spaces,
- 24:50Speaker 1: they deserve to laugh about it, because that's.
- 24:52Speaker 2: That's pretty heavy it is coming out of that.
- 24:55Speaker 1: So how did you juggle did you did you consider
- 24:57Speaker 1: the opposite side of how people would feel with you
- 25:00Speaker 1: doing that type of content.
- 25:01Speaker 3: I mean, yeah, I mean it's like the same way
- 25:03Speaker 3: with the nursing home skits. I mean, you got you
- 25:05Speaker 3: gotta think about it. If you don't, it's just like,
- 25:07Speaker 3: you know, because like I wouldn't I don't even say that. See,
- 25:12Speaker 3: I wouldn't do like, m how can I say it's
- 25:17Speaker 3: mentally retarded?
- 25:19Speaker 2: Mentally I wouldn't do that.
- 25:21Speaker 3: I wouldn't do that because I just feel like it's
- 25:22Speaker 3: just it's just too personal.
- 25:24Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 25:26Speaker 3: But like with the psyche WARLD, it's just like you know,
- 25:28Speaker 3: that's that's what I did as my job.
- 25:30Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 25:30Speaker 3: I think it's a lot of people that can relate
- 25:31Speaker 3: to it, you know, because it happens. You know, it's
- 25:36Speaker 3: you can't fake it. Yeah, you know, so it's like
- 25:38Speaker 3: it's real life situation. So it's like, you know, I
- 25:41Speaker 3: just make it funny, yeah, you know, because it's like
- 25:44Speaker 3: like you said, people got to laugh at it. Yeah,
- 25:46Speaker 3: you know, because it's it's it's it's a real world, man,
- 25:50Speaker 3: you're going there. It's like like I said to me,
- 25:53Speaker 3: when I went to work, I didn't feel no type
- 25:56Speaker 3: of way. I didn't. I didn't I wasn't scared. I
- 25:58Speaker 3: wasn't scared of nobody. I just it's loved on. Everybody
- 26:01Speaker 3: treated everybody like they were me.
- 26:04Speaker 2: You know, they have no issues, yeah like that.
- 26:06Speaker 3: So it's just the fact of treating people normally. You know,
- 26:10Speaker 3: we are human. You know everybody have some type of
- 26:12Speaker 3: issue because you.
- 26:14Speaker 2: In yours, you know, you love to call them coldes.
- 26:16Speaker 2: How many? How many? How many coldes you did you
- 26:21Speaker 2: actually have to like call cold did you feel? How
- 26:23Speaker 2: did you feel? Like I feel?
- 26:24Speaker 1: I would feel so weird because you know, the industry
- 26:27Speaker 1: teacher teaches us they fighting you, putting you down, pin
- 26:30Speaker 1: you down, or whatever.
- 26:30Speaker 2: And I know that.
- 26:33Speaker 1: People that I've heard that's in that the patience point
- 26:37Speaker 1: of view, it's like they were hurting me.
- 26:38Speaker 2: They were doing everything like this.
- 26:40Speaker 3: It's not like that. It's it's you got certain residents
- 26:44Speaker 3: or patients that are very combative. And when I when
- 26:48Speaker 3: I whenever I call a cold that's like my last resort.
- 26:51Speaker 3: It's really the last one. If you got to call
- 26:53Speaker 3: the colde, then that's your last resort. You can try
- 26:55Speaker 3: to escalate the situation, trying to talk to and work
- 26:58Speaker 3: when something like that, because normally, you know like I
- 27:00Speaker 3: had a good report with the kids. Yeah, so anytime
- 27:03Speaker 3: an issue happened, they would call me, hey, can you
- 27:04Speaker 3: come calm this this patient down? And nine times out
- 27:07Speaker 3: of ten I'd be able to do it.
- 27:08Speaker 2: Did you do it through comedian? I mean comedy comedian?
- 27:11Speaker 3: I mean yeah, I mean because a lot of kids,
- 27:14Speaker 3: I mean like kids ease they still mister Trisian, you
- 27:17Speaker 3: did so much for me. I miss you or how
- 27:19Speaker 3: you doing? You helped me out all type of good things. Yeah,
- 27:23Speaker 3: because I treated the kids like that. With my kids, yeah,
- 27:26Speaker 3: you know, I made them lab but when it was
- 27:28Speaker 3: time to get see it, hey chill out. Yeah, they
- 27:31Speaker 3: gonna get your out of here. You know what I'm saying.
- 27:34Speaker 3: I ain't play about it on there. You if you
- 27:35Speaker 3: can consistently being combative and fighting and stuff like that,
- 27:38Speaker 3: they don't get your better.
- 27:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:40Speaker 3: But like I said, I had a good rapport with
- 27:42Speaker 3: the kids. So it's like, you know, I was able
- 27:44Speaker 3: to talk them down and relax and or whatever. But
- 27:46Speaker 3: when they get back to the unit, I ain't you know,
- 27:49Speaker 3: ain't that I gonna do? Ain't you can do? That's
- 27:52Speaker 3: on y'all at that point.
- 27:53Speaker 2: But that's so that's so good.
- 27:54Speaker 1: So to answer your question, I think I think I'm
- 27:57Speaker 1: not even gonna try to say your name again. Yes,
- 27:59Speaker 1: he actually worked at the psych War, And I think
- 28:01Speaker 1: that's why you're like people I like, look at the
- 28:04Speaker 1: comments I look at any time I see your thing,
- 28:06Speaker 1: I'll be trying to see what people.
- 28:08Speaker 2: Saying because they really be in tune with it.
- 28:10Speaker 1: And it's a lot of people that work in a
- 28:12Speaker 1: psych war that's like they get so excited about your
- 28:15Speaker 1: coming your skits, especially with Angela, like Angela is popping Angela,
- 28:21Speaker 1: I don't know what, and she just sit there mostly
- 28:24Speaker 1: in stare. Now Tracy, I'm talking, I'm talking to him
- 28:27Speaker 1: like he don't know these folks, but Tracy like it's
- 28:29Speaker 1: a soap opera.
- 28:30Speaker 2: It's literally.
- 28:32Speaker 1: A mental health soap opera. But that Tracy didn't care, Okay,
- 28:35Speaker 1: she don't care.
- 28:36Speaker 3: I love it.
- 28:36Speaker 2: I love how the characters are still like like, I
- 28:40Speaker 2: don't know how your and I know you said.
- 28:42Speaker 1: Last time that you write everything down, but it seems like,
- 28:46Speaker 1: what is your creative process like to come up with
- 28:49Speaker 1: these new characters and fit them into what you already have.
- 28:53Speaker 3: It's just random, honestly, Like, I really don't even think
- 28:56Speaker 3: about it. Sometimes I just do it. Yeah, that's what
- 28:58Speaker 3: I tell people all the time. If you don't do it,
- 29:00Speaker 3: you'll never know what will happen. So you just have
- 29:03Speaker 3: to do it. Like the process of it is like
- 29:06Speaker 3: sometimes I write it. Sometimes I don't depend on what
- 29:08Speaker 3: it is. Like if it's grumpy and Tracy, I got
- 29:11Speaker 3: to write it because it's just it's too good to
- 29:14Speaker 3: not write it. When it comes to tracing somebody anytime
- 29:18Speaker 3: it's Tracy, no, I'm nine times out of ten, I
- 29:20Speaker 3: don't because Tracy is like me. But in the female yes,
- 29:25Speaker 3: women in the in the industry, in the industry is
- 29:29Speaker 3: like prominent, like it's mostly women, so women are gonna
- 29:34Speaker 3: gravitate to it more so than the male. Like if
- 29:37Speaker 3: I was to do it by myself, it ain't that
- 29:40Speaker 3: many men that don't do that work. So that's why
- 29:42Speaker 3: I chose to make Tracy a woman, because it is
- 29:45Speaker 3: women that gravitate to it. Like women like to laugh.
- 29:47Speaker 3: I don't people don't think people understand that women love
- 29:50Speaker 3: to laugh. Like if you go to a comedy show,
- 29:52Speaker 3: it's women in the front room. You know what I'm saying. So,
- 29:55Speaker 3: like I said, the process is just to me, it
- 29:58Speaker 3: ain't heard. It's because I'm so used to doing it.
- 30:01Speaker 3: It's like a it's like second nature to me. So
- 30:04Speaker 3: like if I if I'm sitting down to write it,
- 30:06Speaker 3: I'm gonna write it all out until I'm done with it. Yeah,
- 30:10Speaker 3: and I just plug them in whatever, Like it's depending
- 30:12Speaker 3: on what kind of scene it is. Like if it's
- 30:15Speaker 3: with Angela, I know what I'm gonna do with If
- 30:17Speaker 3: it's Tracy and GRAMPI home, hell, it's you know, basically
- 30:21Speaker 3: the same thing. But it just depends on what what
- 30:25Speaker 3: resident I'm doing. Other than that, it's just just plugging
- 30:29Speaker 3: in and just doing whatever.
- 30:31Speaker 1: And I love I love something about you and I
- 30:34Speaker 1: gotta it challenged me as a creative right you stay
- 30:37Speaker 1: on ready? Right? You recently not too long ago, it's
- 30:41Speaker 1: looked like you went on a family vacation and you
- 30:44Speaker 1: were still recording and and I think Angela was there
- 30:52Speaker 1: in that trench coat, and it's like you prepared to
- 30:55Speaker 1: work even when you're on vacation. So you can get
- 30:57Speaker 1: new scener because you do. You mainly do most of
- 31:00Speaker 1: your content out at home. And what what are you
- 31:03Speaker 1: using again, like to create your content?
- 31:06Speaker 2: Like tools?
- 31:07Speaker 1: Can you tell the folks in that you my phone,
- 31:11Speaker 1: you use your phone, because you would really think that
- 31:13Speaker 1: you're using Yeah, so many angles, so many you know
- 31:18Speaker 1: what I'm saying, all the tools, but you've grown just
- 31:22Speaker 1: using my phone, he said, my phone, which means only one.
- 31:25Speaker 2: Yeah, thank you, thank you for catching that, all right,
- 31:28Speaker 2: thank you for catching that. So when you hear creators saying, oh,
- 31:31Speaker 2: I can't do this because it is what do you?
- 31:33Speaker 2: How does that?
- 31:35Speaker 3: How does that make you fre just just an excuse
- 31:38Speaker 3: to not do it? I mean, like I said, if
- 31:40Speaker 3: you don't do it, you'll never know what happened. You
- 31:42Speaker 3: just got to do it. Your phone is like your
- 31:45Speaker 3: best friend. Like every content, everything that I've recorded, I've
- 31:50Speaker 3: done on my phone. Rather it was an iPhone ten eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen,
- 31:55Speaker 3: every single.
- 31:56Speaker 1: One to the camera, good or bad, d okay, it
- 31:59Speaker 1: don't It don't matter, man, because you can't really tell.
- 32:01Speaker 2: You can't really tell the difference.
- 32:02Speaker 3: Yeah I just made man, It don't matter what. I
- 32:04Speaker 3: always make sure I have something like a costume or character,
- 32:08Speaker 3: something in my trunk because I just never know what
- 32:12Speaker 3: I might just think of.
- 32:13Speaker 2: Some ooh that's so good. So when you think of it.
- 32:17Speaker 2: You literally act on it and just keep going.
- 32:19Speaker 3: Because if I don't, I forget. I forget. Oh, I
- 32:22Speaker 3: write it down in my notes, and when I get home,
- 32:24Speaker 3: I'll do it. Like if I'm driving, I think of something,
- 32:27Speaker 3: I pull over because I don't like to driving right,
- 32:31Speaker 3: I pull over and write it in my notes, and
- 32:33Speaker 3: then when I get home, I do it.
- 32:36Speaker 1: I think that's so powerful, and that just challenged me again.
- 32:39Speaker 1: They just challenge you because sometimes that shows to me
- 32:42Speaker 1: how much you value your creativity. Not necessarily because the
- 32:46Speaker 1: people gonna come, the followers obviously for you are gonna come.
- 32:50Speaker 1: But it's almost like I gotta honor my my moment,
- 32:55Speaker 1: I gotta honor my memory. I gotta honor with if
- 32:57Speaker 1: you if we want to be frank, because we know
- 32:59Speaker 1: what platform, what God is downloading into me. Because it's
- 33:04Speaker 1: only so much. You can only be so creative. You
- 33:06Speaker 1: can only use the same characters so long you've been used.
- 33:09Speaker 2: You've been used. I know you've been using Tracy.
- 33:10Speaker 1: For years, for years, okay, And so to be able
- 33:19Speaker 1: to give her new language, give her new opportunities to
- 33:22Speaker 1: show up differently. That can't be you, that can't like
- 33:27Speaker 1: for you to be so many cares that can't be you.
- 33:29Speaker 1: That's that's all God, And so I think I think
- 33:32Speaker 1: that's interesting. So one of the things I have another
- 33:35Speaker 1: fan question for you now, y'all, y'all in these names,
- 33:39Speaker 1: I'm not even okay, all right?
- 33:42Speaker 2: You know you know what question you asked?
- 33:44Speaker 1: I was you know, I was trying to shout out,
- 33:47Speaker 1: but it ain't work.
- 33:53Speaker 3: You know who?
- 33:54Speaker 1: You are.
- 33:56Speaker 3: Taking me too long?
- 33:58Speaker 2: So she said it.
- 34:02Speaker 1: When when will you feel like, yes, I made it?
- 34:06Speaker 1: Or do you already feel that way? On my step daddy, Oh,
- 34:09Speaker 1: my step dad.
- 34:09Speaker 3: I don't feel that way. I don't.
- 34:11Speaker 2: Let's talk about it.
- 34:13Speaker 3: I think it when when when I get to where
- 34:17Speaker 3: I want to go, Like when I finally reach where
- 34:20Speaker 3: I want to go, then I probably feel like that.
- 34:22Speaker 3: But right now, I just feel like I'm still working.
- 34:26Speaker 3: I just feel like I gotta keep grinding like I don't.
- 34:29Speaker 3: I don't want to stop. I don't want to feel
- 34:30Speaker 3: that way. I don't. I don't think I ever want
- 34:32Speaker 3: to feel way. I can think it. Once I feel
- 34:34Speaker 3: that way, I'm gonna slow down. I don't want to
- 34:36Speaker 3: feel that way.
- 34:37Speaker 1: So where is it that you're trying to get to,
- 34:39Speaker 1: like what is like ultimately, like I know that goal
- 34:44Speaker 1: that you're that you can see that you're trying to
- 34:46Speaker 1: get to.
- 34:48Speaker 3: Once I still out of arena, Like what arena?
- 34:52Speaker 2: Let's let's put since we put language, so the start
- 34:55Speaker 2: not the start on that the what arena? Is your
- 35:01Speaker 2: goal of arena to sell out? Okay? I love how
- 35:06Speaker 2: you keeping it. I love how you keeping it. Birmingham Legacy.
- 35:10Speaker 3: I want legacy. That's what I want.
- 35:12Speaker 2: Oh, I just feel God on that. He said.
- 35:14Speaker 1: No, he said, I want legacy not just not just
- 35:19Speaker 1: in the form of the building, but I even see
- 35:21Speaker 1: a double portion on it for you. I want legacy
- 35:25Speaker 1: not just as a building, but as a as a
- 35:27Speaker 1: as a as a longevity. Like I'm leaving something for
- 35:30Speaker 1: my kids. I'm leaving something to where when people look
- 35:33Speaker 1: up my name, they gonna be able.
- 35:34Speaker 2: To see results on top of results. That's so good.
- 35:38Speaker 1: I need you to put a picture. I need we
- 35:40Speaker 1: need to go down downtown and go take a picture
- 35:43Speaker 1: in front of the Legacy building. Record yourself so we
- 35:47Speaker 1: can have evidence. Because it's something about like wet we
- 35:50Speaker 1: gotta go back to the manifestation because people really think
- 35:53Speaker 1: that or I have the idea that things happen overnight.
- 35:57Speaker 2: Things happen so easily.
- 36:01Speaker 1: But if I go down your your if I scroll enough,
- 36:04Speaker 1: because baby, you be posting, Oh Jesus, my little little dots.
- 36:09Speaker 2: I'm baby be rolling.
- 36:12Speaker 1: But if you patient enough and you scrolled down far enough,
- 36:16Speaker 1: you will see, like we talk about the residue of
- 36:19Speaker 1: his work, right, you.
- 36:21Speaker 2: Will see the different home.
- 36:22Speaker 1: You'll realize that they moved, right, you had a like
- 36:26Speaker 1: you moved and it's like, man, this this is not
- 36:31Speaker 1: an overnight suceays. So when you get legacy, I need
- 36:33Speaker 1: front row seats.
- 36:35Speaker 2: I want to.
- 36:35Speaker 1: I want to, you know, talk the people up. You
- 36:38Speaker 1: gotta teach me though, because I you know, I be
- 36:41Speaker 1: at church normally. That's what I That's why I you know,
- 36:44Speaker 1: I exhort. I know how to exhort listen. And so
- 36:51Speaker 1: some people, some of your fans are curious even more
- 36:55Speaker 1: in your family dynamic. Right, and so I know we
- 36:58Speaker 1: talked about your wife before. I need y'all to go
- 37:00Speaker 1: back and watch that first episode because at that point
- 37:04Speaker 1: you were going through like some health issues you had
- 37:07Speaker 1: spoken about, you know, you not being able to walk,
- 37:11Speaker 1: you not being able you know, you were going something
- 37:14Speaker 1: through your mind and I think that's what that lady
- 37:16Speaker 1: was talking about. She wanted me to get deeper in
- 37:18Speaker 1: your business of what's going on with those brain scans.
- 37:22Speaker 1: But I don't even feel go go look at the content,
- 37:25Speaker 1: like we don't even have to get into that. We're
- 37:34Speaker 1: not to get into that. And so thinking about you know,
- 37:36Speaker 1: we're thinking about the tradition or the traditional thought patterns
- 37:40Speaker 1: of men in the industry, and you see all all
- 37:44Speaker 1: the opportunities for infidelity or opportunities to step out on
- 37:48Speaker 1: your family.
- 37:49Speaker 2: The question it actually came from a woman.
- 37:53Speaker 1: I think this is a fair question because you know,
- 37:55Speaker 1: as single women that look to be married and successfully
- 37:59Speaker 1: mirroried like yourself, I think this is a fair question.
- 38:01Speaker 1: So she said, can men be faithful one hundred percent
- 38:04Speaker 1: or is it not realistic?
- 38:06Speaker 3: Yes, men can be faithful one hundred percent, But I'm
- 38:09Speaker 3: not gonna say it's gonna happen. I mean, life is life, man.
- 38:13Speaker 3: I mean, whatever you got going on with you and
- 38:16Speaker 3: your significant that's between y'all. The thing is, people put
- 38:19Speaker 3: too many people in their business, so it just it
- 38:22Speaker 3: just makes it even worse than what it is, to
- 38:24Speaker 3: the point where y'all don't want to be together no more,
- 38:27Speaker 3: because everybody's in your business at this point. But like
- 38:30Speaker 3: I said, it's it can go both ways. I mean,
- 38:35Speaker 3: you can have men that don't she, you can have
- 38:37Speaker 3: men that do. That's just life. I mean, I don't.
- 38:39Speaker 3: I mean, I don't want to bring women into it
- 38:42Speaker 3: because we're talking about men. But I mean everybody some
- 38:46Speaker 3: women cheat me and cheap, So I mean, I don't
- 38:49Speaker 3: think it's really an ending conversation. That conversation gonna go
- 38:52Speaker 3: on forever and ever.
- 38:53Speaker 1: Why I think they're asking you, And I think they're
- 38:57Speaker 1: asking you because you show your family and you show
- 39:01Speaker 1: your kids and all this stuff with some if we
- 39:04Speaker 1: want to call a spade a spade, some of these
- 39:06Speaker 1: people be flexing flows.
- 39:08Speaker 3: Right right, don't man, don't don't get caught up in
- 39:10Speaker 3: the YouTube of couples. Please couples, man, because because especially
- 39:17Speaker 3: with the female the couple podcasts and stuff like that,
- 39:20Speaker 3: people be talking about relationship and stuff. Man, listen, keep
- 39:23Speaker 3: posts out your business, yeah, that's it. Like it's just
- 39:26Speaker 3: if you keep folks out your business, you wouldn't have
- 39:28Speaker 3: to worry about anything. Yes, me and cheap, Yes, do
- 39:31Speaker 3: I think it's will will it? Will it stop? No,
- 39:34Speaker 3: I don't think it will. I don't.
- 39:37Speaker 2: I think it's because also I don't know what I
- 39:40Speaker 2: was watching.
- 39:42Speaker 1: I think it was hardly initiated this where this is
- 39:45Speaker 1: the lady that I told you that came for my
- 39:47Speaker 1: neck about femininity. Yea, ma'am, I put makeup on the
- 39:50Speaker 1: day because you you you came from my womanhood.
- 39:55Speaker 2: Okay.
- 39:57Speaker 1: But basically she was talking about the idea of how
- 40:00Speaker 1: social media allows it just to be out there, right,
- 40:03Speaker 1: and so it it's out there for people to do.
- 40:07Speaker 1: But she also put it back on the person, whether
- 40:09Speaker 1: it's male female. But they were talking about, you know,
- 40:12Speaker 1: men at that point to have discipline, self control or whatnot.
- 40:18Speaker 1: How would how would you say you different that? Because
- 40:21Speaker 1: I can only imagine, like let's call a spa spade,
- 40:24Speaker 1: I can only imagine what goes in your d MS.
- 40:26Speaker 2: I can only imagine people and women knowing that you
- 40:30Speaker 2: got a wife. Oh wow. Oh yeah, so the spirits
- 40:36Speaker 2: be spiriting.
- 40:38Speaker 3: See that's the thing people get to get, the female
- 40:40Speaker 3: care that mixed mixed up with my real life.
- 40:45Speaker 2: You're happily married to a woman.
- 40:48Speaker 3: Yeah, if I went with my woman, I would be
- 40:51Speaker 3: with a woman. You know what I'm saying, but I've
- 40:55Speaker 3: had my issues in my relationship. I'm not I mean,
- 40:57Speaker 3: I can't lie about it. You know it's happened, Yeah,
- 41:01Speaker 3: you know, but me and my wife are still together.
- 41:03Speaker 2: Yeah, and y'all still working towards.
- 41:05Speaker 3: Still working to I mean, it's not easy. A marriage
- 41:07Speaker 3: is not easy. You have to work towards that, you
- 41:10Speaker 3: know what I'm saying. So it's not like I'm just
- 41:12Speaker 3: out here just doing whatever.
- 41:14Speaker 2: What keeps you working towards it because it's it's easy
- 41:17Speaker 2: to let it go.
- 41:18Speaker 3: My wife. Love my wife. She's been there for me
- 41:22Speaker 3: when nobody else was there. Like imagine, every every woman
- 41:25Speaker 3: is not gonna wipe yo yo butt when you can't walk.
- 41:29Speaker 3: Everyone was not gonna do that. Everyone was not gonna
- 41:32Speaker 3: take care of you like that. I done had two
- 41:35Speaker 3: major things happened in my life while I was with
- 41:37Speaker 3: my wife, and she's still here. So there's no reason
- 41:40Speaker 3: why I should be out here stepping out doing anything
- 41:43Speaker 3: giving any woman the upper hand on my wife.
- 41:46Speaker 1: Come on, come on, so let me tell y'all something
- 41:51Speaker 1: Foster said. Y'all don't even need to try anymore because
- 41:54Speaker 1: his decision is made.
- 41:56Speaker 2: Okay. I love that I love that.
- 41:58Speaker 1: That gives me confidence because you know, people try, people
- 42:01Speaker 1: really try to act like you know, there are no
- 42:03Speaker 1: good men out here, right, And even in my situation,
- 42:07Speaker 1: it's easy for me to say, oh, ain't no good man.
- 42:09Speaker 1: When I say situation, I'm talking about my singleness, not
- 42:12Speaker 1: necessarily all my situation, but in my singleness, it's like
- 42:16Speaker 1: Easther saying.
- 42:16Speaker 2: Oh, ain't no good man out here. Ain't gonna be
- 42:18Speaker 2: a man really doing it.
- 42:19Speaker 1: But I also want to challenge on the woman's side,
- 42:23Speaker 1: are you Are you willing to do what's necessary to
- 42:26Speaker 1: manage the relationship too, because it takes two to tango right.
- 42:29Speaker 1: The man is the head, that's what we believe in
- 42:31Speaker 1: the word. The word says the man is the head,
- 42:33Speaker 1: and then the the wife is to help me right.
- 42:36Speaker 1: And so really I really value and look because this
- 42:41Speaker 1: is not my first time hearing you say, oh I
- 42:43Speaker 1: love my wife, I'm into my wife. I ain't going
- 42:45Speaker 1: nowhere she wiped my butt type of thing. But I
- 42:48Speaker 1: also think that people believe that it's fake because they've
- 42:51Speaker 1: never seen it for themselves.
- 42:54Speaker 3: It ain't for you, It's for me and my wife,
- 42:56Speaker 3: is it?
- 42:57Speaker 2: Period?
- 42:58Speaker 3: Ain't ever see what y'all want to see, like, we
- 43:01Speaker 3: don't have a we don't have a o F website. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 43:07Speaker 3: it's us and I kids.
- 43:09Speaker 2: And I business, right.
- 43:11Speaker 1: I think I think also to like, we just have
- 43:14Speaker 1: to settle with you know, like you said earlier that
- 43:20Speaker 1: everybody's relationship is different.
- 43:22Speaker 2: I was watching.
- 43:23Speaker 1: It's interesting that you bring it up because I was watching.
- 43:25Speaker 1: I don't I don't know if you've seen this guy.
- 43:28Speaker 1: You probably have. His name is Broadcast, is called Grits
- 43:31Speaker 1: and Eggs or something like that. He had a he's out.
- 43:34Speaker 1: I'll send you his profile.
- 43:35Speaker 2: I think you would like him, but he cuss up
- 43:37Speaker 2: a storing baby. I can't.
- 43:41Speaker 3: Yeah, I like it.
- 43:41Speaker 2: I think you don't like his black boy, he cuss
- 43:43Speaker 2: up the store. But he's very real.
- 43:45Speaker 1: He's very much so I like his content because he's real.
- 43:49Speaker 1: He's raw, but he's also honest.
- 43:52Speaker 3: And uh.
- 43:53Speaker 1: He was bringing up the fact that he was on
- 43:55Speaker 1: the episode with Jay Hill, and he brought up the
- 43:59Speaker 1: fact that it's not I don't give relationship advice because
- 44:05Speaker 1: it's not my business to give other folks relationship advice
- 44:08Speaker 1: because that's their relationshiphip and everybody's relationships that's unique.
- 44:12Speaker 3: I cannot give you no advice about your relationship because
- 44:16Speaker 3: hours are different. I mean, the same thing to work
- 44:18Speaker 3: in my relationship may not work in your relationship. So
- 44:20Speaker 3: I don't feel like I should. I mean, I can
- 44:22Speaker 3: give you advice, but that don't mean it's gonna work.
- 44:24Speaker 3: But it's just the fact of what you're going through.
- 44:27Speaker 3: I might not have been through, or what I'm going
- 44:30Speaker 3: through you might not be going through. That's it's like like,
- 44:35Speaker 3: especially when people be like single people be on on
- 44:39Speaker 3: the podcast, be trying to tell people about relationships, you know, marriage, relationship,
- 44:43Speaker 3: like a single person trying to tell you about marriage.
- 44:45Speaker 3: It's kind of like, you know, do you think so?
- 44:47Speaker 1: Though?
- 44:48Speaker 3: Now all the time I don't okay because something because something.
- 44:50Speaker 3: Some people do have good points, like when you're thinking
- 44:53Speaker 3: about it, it's a person and you married and they
- 44:55Speaker 3: saying something not timely. Sometimes it's it's real right, but
- 44:59Speaker 3: it is some people don't know what right. Yes, just
- 45:04Speaker 3: want to click basically yeah, But it is some single
- 45:06Speaker 3: people out there that do know what they're talking about.
- 45:09Speaker 1: Because through it right right, not only to be through it,
- 45:12Speaker 1: but I believe, I do believe that the wism of
- 45:15Speaker 1: the Lord is people's portions, right, and so some people
- 45:18Speaker 1: just have just walk in the wism of the Lord.
- 45:20Speaker 2: Right. But when you were talking, I just heard, I
- 45:24Speaker 2: just heard this.
- 45:25Speaker 1: We might not be able to give merital advice or
- 45:27Speaker 1: be comfortable again like necessarily marital advice, but we can't
- 45:30Speaker 1: give character advice, right, And we can align people up
- 45:34Speaker 1: with their character and most of the times and you
- 45:36Speaker 1: can correct me and my room because I'm not married.
- 45:38Speaker 1: Most of the times. If you deal with the issue
- 45:40Speaker 1: with you, the issue with the marriage ends up kind
- 45:43Speaker 1: of working itself out. Have you seen how have you
- 45:46Speaker 1: seen yourself develop and grow due to your marriage?
- 45:52Speaker 3: I'm more into my wife, if that makes sense. You'll
- 45:57Speaker 3: get to a point in marriage where you get stagnant,
- 45:59Speaker 3: where it's like you don't do the same things you
- 46:02Speaker 3: did to get that person. And that's what my wife
- 46:05Speaker 3: had to get on my butt about. Date me still
- 46:08Speaker 3: continue today, take me out, It don't matter what. To
- 46:10Speaker 3: bring me flowers even though she don't like flower. But
- 46:13Speaker 3: it's just the thought, the thought, you know what I'm saying.
- 46:15Speaker 3: When she gets she gonna go on my way. But
- 46:17Speaker 3: you know it's just a thought. But I don't forget,
- 46:22Speaker 3: forgot what I was talking about.
- 46:23Speaker 2: We were talking about how you've developed.
- 46:29Speaker 3: Yeah, it's just it's a process. And I don't think
- 46:33Speaker 3: people understand that, Like it's really a process that you
- 46:36Speaker 3: have to go through. Like she's trying to mold me
- 46:39Speaker 3: into the man that she wants me to be, and
- 46:41Speaker 3: I'm trying to mold her into the woman that I
- 46:43Speaker 3: want her to be. And when I say that, I
- 46:45Speaker 3: don't mean it's like being controlling anything like that. Like
- 46:48Speaker 3: she tell me, Hey, this is you know, this is
- 46:52Speaker 3: what I would like for you to do to better
- 46:54Speaker 3: our relationship, and that I tell her the same thing.
- 46:57Speaker 2: Y'all communicate, We communicate.
- 46:59Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying. I think we're getting better
- 47:01Speaker 3: at that as well. You know. So it's.
- 47:05Speaker 2: It's it's work. It's worked, but you got to be
- 47:09Speaker 2: willing to work to work.
- 47:10Speaker 3: You've got to be willing. If you're not willing to
- 47:12Speaker 3: work on your marriage, it ain't gonna happen.
- 47:14Speaker 1: So good, so good you, Like I was I was
- 47:18Speaker 1: telling that day we originally recorded the first time, it
- 47:21Speaker 1: was we recorded with the with three three out of
- 47:25Speaker 1: three out of four of our recordings, it was.
- 47:27Speaker 2: Three men, right, it was you. It was Caleb and Tyler.
- 47:35Speaker 2: Those are two of our brothers. Shout out to Tyler,
- 47:38Speaker 2: He's a b g TV brother.
- 47:40Speaker 1: But it was the three of y'all, and each of
- 47:42Speaker 1: you guys really showed us, like really depositive with the
- 47:47Speaker 1: love of a man to a woman.
- 47:49Speaker 2: Looked like right, all y'all married. All of y'all are
- 47:54Speaker 2: happily married, thank you. You know, like actually like are
- 47:57Speaker 2: into their wives.
- 47:58Speaker 3: And I want to say it is I want to
- 48:01Speaker 3: change the narrative of that because I've seen it so
- 48:04Speaker 3: much in my life, like from people that like uncles
- 48:09Speaker 3: and people that I grew up knowing, you know, and
- 48:12Speaker 3: we've seen me and my brother, we've seen stuff like that.
- 48:15Speaker 3: We don't want to be like that because we know
- 48:17Speaker 3: what how it messed up the the family, you know,
- 48:22Speaker 3: it missed up the dynamic of the family when my
- 48:26Speaker 3: dad left, Like it's it got bad, you know, growing
- 48:31Speaker 3: up and not being able to you know, go certain
- 48:36Speaker 3: not having the financial things to do certain things. My
- 48:39Speaker 3: mama and they have it all. You know, she did
- 48:41Speaker 3: what she could, what she had, you know. But as
- 48:43Speaker 3: far as like I want to say, water getting cut off,
- 48:50Speaker 3: you know, not having power, you know, I usually sleep
- 48:54Speaker 3: on a freaking matches with no box springs. I don't.
- 48:57Speaker 3: I don't want through that because that my income it helps, Yeah,
- 49:03Speaker 3: my dad income in helped. But when it when he
- 49:06Speaker 3: when he left.
- 49:08Speaker 2: It was horrible. How old were you when he left?
- 49:12Speaker 3: I'm gonna say, like self made, Oh you were young
- 49:17Speaker 3: young when he left?
- 49:19Speaker 2: You were young young. So do you have a relationship
- 49:21Speaker 2: with him now?
- 49:22Speaker 1: No?
- 49:24Speaker 3: No, I don't. I mean we're we okay, but it's
- 49:27Speaker 3: not like I'm feel the calumn and be like, hey,
- 49:29Speaker 3: what's up man? It is it didn't got past that point.
- 49:34Speaker 3: I mean, I hate it. I don't like it because
- 49:36Speaker 3: I mean I love my dad. I mean, I'm always
- 49:38Speaker 3: love my dad. It's my dad. But our relationship is
- 49:41Speaker 3: not like it used to be. Like he he used
- 49:44Speaker 3: to write movies.
- 49:45Speaker 2: You know.
- 49:45Speaker 1: Oh no no no no no no no no no,
- 49:48Speaker 1: doesn't ring. We're not gonna pass that. You said, your
- 49:53Speaker 1: daddy what.
- 49:53Speaker 3: He wrote movies? He wrote two movies. It might have worked,
- 49:56Speaker 3: wrote more than that, but I know it's two of
- 49:57Speaker 3: them that I know for sure that he feel I
- 50:00Speaker 3: used to help him with it, and I just I
- 50:03Speaker 3: just think it would have been so dope. I still
- 50:06Speaker 3: think it could happen.
- 50:07Speaker 2: I was just about to say that, like.
- 50:08Speaker 3: If we wrote a move together, I just think it'd
- 50:10Speaker 3: be like some some Lebron and Brnnie James type stuff.
- 50:13Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying. I just think it'll be
- 50:14Speaker 3: cool to have both our names written by my daddy's
- 50:17Speaker 3: name and my name.
- 50:19Speaker 2: Do you think that because what's your dad? Well, maybe
- 50:22Speaker 2: I shouldn't ask it. Are you not a junior? Yeah?
- 50:25Speaker 1: Okay, so his name is not Randall Rundall McFarland. So
- 50:29Speaker 1: seeing Randall and Tristan McFarland, what the thought of that?
- 50:35Speaker 3: Are you?
- 50:35Speaker 2: First of all? Are you open?
- 50:37Speaker 3: I'm always open to it because, like I said, that's
- 50:39Speaker 3: my dad. You know what I'm saying. I've been in
- 50:43Speaker 3: the entertainment because of him. You know, I was just
- 50:47Speaker 3: behind the scenes. You know. He knew I want to
- 50:49Speaker 3: do music. He bought me a michaelphone. I used to
- 50:52Speaker 3: make music on the microphone, all that kind of stuff.
- 50:55Speaker 3: I used to help him film all types of stuff.
- 50:58Speaker 3: You know. So it's if if that happens, if God
- 51:02Speaker 3: sees that happen, and then it happened.
- 51:04Speaker 1: Mmm, I'm gonna pray for that on you with you
- 51:07Speaker 1: on that because that that just that hit different because
- 51:10Speaker 1: I don't think I've ever heard you say that like originally,
- 51:14Speaker 1: because usually when we say when did it started, when
- 51:17Speaker 1: we always go back to the place of when we
- 51:18Speaker 1: first pit record, right. But even when I had my
- 51:22Speaker 1: moment with Tabitha, my mama reminded me, you remember that desert.
- 51:27Speaker 1: She called me that day and reminded me. She said,
- 51:29Speaker 1: I remember you were I think I was four years old,
- 51:34Speaker 1: four not even five years old, and no three, Actually
- 51:38Speaker 1: I was three years old and I was at this
- 51:41Speaker 1: daycare and the daycare had this you know play, They
- 51:44Speaker 1: had something with the arts in there, and she she said,
- 51:48Speaker 1: it was like thousands of people in the in the audience,
- 51:52Speaker 1: and I had a solo and I took She was like,
- 51:54Speaker 1: I took the mic, I took a deep breath, and
- 51:57Speaker 1: I just went for it, right. And it's those moment
- 52:00Speaker 1: moments where people think that, oh, it started, Oh it
- 52:03Speaker 1: started when we pressed record, or it started when we
- 52:06Speaker 1: did X, Y and Z. No, it really started in
- 52:08Speaker 1: the places where we were young, we were adolescent, and
- 52:12Speaker 1: our parents really have you know, pushed us into our purpose.
- 52:18Speaker 1: And so it's so interesting because I have the same
- 52:21Speaker 1: thing with my mom. My mom and I have had,
- 52:25Speaker 1: you know, to work for our relationship a parents. You
- 52:28Speaker 1: mighty want to stop because the daddy coming out, But
- 52:36Speaker 1: my mom and I have had opportunities to grow and
- 52:41Speaker 1: develop in our relationship. And I was like, you know,
- 52:45Speaker 1: I would love to see me and my mom do X,
- 52:47Speaker 1: Y and Z together. I want to see I want
- 52:49Speaker 1: to be on stage with my mama one day. I
- 52:51Speaker 1: haven't verbalized that to her, but I want to see
- 52:54Speaker 1: me and my mama on stage because I know what's
- 52:56Speaker 1: embedded in me really comes from her, because I've seen her.
- 52:59Speaker 1: I've seen her encourage women. I've seen her, you know,
- 53:02Speaker 1: talk to people and people just gravitate to her. I've
- 53:05Speaker 1: seen her, you know, just manifest these big ideas and
- 53:09Speaker 1: then something in life just stopped her. And I want
- 53:13Speaker 1: to be able to say I kept it going and
- 53:17Speaker 1: I want you to be a part of it because
- 53:19Speaker 1: you really embedded this thing in me. It takes a
- 53:22Speaker 1: lot of courage for you and a lot of I
- 53:24Speaker 1: just love you, Christian because for you to say, my
- 53:26Speaker 1: daddy walked out on me, but I would love to
- 53:28Speaker 1: see us do something together that that that's.
- 53:30Speaker 3: A lot man. Like I said, I love I love
- 53:32Speaker 3: my daddy forever. Like it's I don't know, I don't
- 53:37Speaker 3: know what it's gonna take, you.
- 53:39Speaker 2: Know, maybe seeing this maybe, so maybe we clip it
- 53:43Speaker 2: up and send it to him.
- 53:45Speaker 1: Yeah, because we were just not too long ago talking
- 53:48Speaker 1: about does a raised relationship with her dad?
- 53:50Speaker 2: Can you talk? Can you encourage him with that?
- 53:53Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, kind of saying, my my dad's in
- 53:57Speaker 1: the military. And so I pretty much grew up only
- 54:00Speaker 1: my mom. I was my mom's only kid. She was
- 54:02Speaker 1: a single parent. And so but I've just realized as
- 54:05Speaker 1: I've gotten older, I've just as I've received grace, I've
- 54:08Speaker 1: learned to give the grace, you know, understanding that I
- 54:12Speaker 1: truly believe. I don't believe that either one of my
- 54:14Speaker 1: parents did anything malicious towards me intentionally, right, I just
- 54:19Speaker 1: had to understand that they did the best they could
- 54:21Speaker 1: do with the capacity of ahead at the time. And
- 54:23Speaker 1: so growing up, you know, me and my dad we
- 54:24Speaker 1: were cool, but we wouldn't We didn't have like that,
- 54:27Speaker 1: like a real type relationship that I would want, especially
- 54:29Speaker 1: as a daughter to father to a father. And these
- 54:33Speaker 1: last couple of years, as I've really journeyed with the Lord,
- 54:38Speaker 1: as I look back, I was like, dang, Lord, why
- 54:39Speaker 1: have I made certain decisions and moved through life the
- 54:43Speaker 1: way I have? And if I'm honest, a lot of
- 54:46Speaker 1: them tied back to those daddy wounds. And so in
- 54:48Speaker 1: this season, as I've been journeying with God being obedient,
- 54:52Speaker 1: there's been opportunities where we've had me and my dad
- 54:55Speaker 1: has had interactions and they weren't favorable to me. Like
- 54:58Speaker 1: matter of fact, one of my I'm thinking about in
- 55:00Speaker 1: twenty twenty three, actually, I think really kind of set
- 55:04Speaker 1: me back a little bit. Like the response that I
- 55:06Speaker 1: was expecting from him I didn't get, and so it
- 55:08Speaker 1: really broke my heart. But as I just began to
- 55:11Speaker 1: pray for him, like it allowed me to, the Lord
- 55:13Speaker 1: really began to show me his heart and where he is,
- 55:16Speaker 1: and I literally just begin to pray for him like
- 55:18Speaker 1: it ain't.
- 55:18Speaker 2: It wasn't nothing like super deep or anything like that.
- 55:21Speaker 2: I was praying for his salvation, I was praying for
- 55:23Speaker 2: his heart. I was just praying for everything.
- 55:24Speaker 1: He's a musician, so I was just praying for everything
- 55:26Speaker 1: that his hands touched, that they were blessed, you know,
- 55:28Speaker 1: just whatever came up at the time. And I'm literally
- 55:31Speaker 1: beginning to see the Lord do a transformation on him. Now,
- 55:34Speaker 1: now we ain't really like like he really honestly don't
- 55:36Speaker 1: even know how I feel what he made now if.
- 55:38Speaker 2: He watched you know, if he watched this. But I'm saying, like.
- 55:46Speaker 1: He said, I'm gonna put this great listening. But honestly,
- 55:51Speaker 1: like I just I just believe that my sincere prayers
- 55:56Speaker 1: have really begun. It was I think, like to see
- 55:59Speaker 1: that was needed for the Lord to be able to
- 56:00Speaker 1: do what he need to.
- 56:01Speaker 3: Do for him.
- 56:02Speaker 2: So now it's like.
- 56:04Speaker 1: I remember last year, I went to my grandmother's house
- 56:07Speaker 1: for her birthday, my dad's mom. They'll gather for her birthday,
- 56:10Speaker 1: and you don't seen heavy birthday and stuff like that.
- 56:12Speaker 1: And I get there, you know, I hug him, and
- 56:15Speaker 1: I swear he probably gave me a hug like three
- 56:16Speaker 1: or four times throughout that day. Now, this is this
- 56:18Speaker 1: is not nothing that typically happens rounds Like I'm just like, hmmm.
- 56:22Speaker 2: So earlier in the year, we.
- 56:24Speaker 1: Had a conversation and after the conversation, what I what
- 56:27Speaker 1: I heard him say as we're talking was I see you,
- 56:31Speaker 1: I'm proud of you.
- 56:31Speaker 2: And I love you. The literally the little girl in
- 56:34Speaker 2: me was just like, oh man, that's all I've been
- 56:37Speaker 2: looking for.
- 56:38Speaker 1: Literally the other the other day, we having a conversation
- 56:40Speaker 1: and he tells me I'm beautiful.
- 56:41Speaker 2: Now, these are conversations that I've never me and my
- 56:44Speaker 2: dad has never had.
- 56:45Speaker 1: But I know it's because the Lord is doing the work,
- 56:48Speaker 1: like if I'm open to it, you know, I've been
- 56:51Speaker 1: open to this journey, and so I'm just like, Wow, Lord,
- 56:54Speaker 1: and I'm just so grateful because it just shows me,
- 56:57Speaker 1: like God really is concerned about our heart, you know
- 57:00Speaker 1: what I'm saying. So the so the fact that that's
- 57:02Speaker 1: still a desire of yours, Like as you just begin
- 57:05Speaker 1: to walk it out and just pray for him, you know,
- 57:08Speaker 1: God is really going to be able to restore the
- 57:10Speaker 1: things that we think are dead.
- 57:11Speaker 3: Yeah, that's and that's the thing. Like my my story
- 57:14Speaker 3: is basically the same as yours. Like my dad was
- 57:16Speaker 3: in the military when I was younger, you know, when
- 57:18Speaker 3: I was a baby. So when you come around, I
- 57:20Speaker 3: used to cry because I didn't really know him, you know,
- 57:23Speaker 3: And I think that relationship kind of carried on to now.
- 57:26Speaker 3: Like it's just I've always wanted that close relationship, Like
- 57:30Speaker 3: my daddy used to call me. He had a nickname.
- 57:33Speaker 3: Hesed to call me Arkle. Whenever he called me Urkle.
- 57:36Speaker 3: I used to feel like I was Superman because it
- 57:39Speaker 3: just felt like I had a connection with my dad.
- 57:41Speaker 3: You know, you got a nickname, you know, Rkle. Anytime
- 57:45Speaker 3: he said Earkle, I knew he was in a good move.
- 57:48Speaker 3: You know. So anytime he said that, I'm smiling, what's up?
- 57:51Speaker 3: You know, only anything. But it just got to the
- 57:54Speaker 3: point where I got older, and you know, things started happening.
- 57:57Speaker 3: You know, you started to see different things, and it's
- 58:01Speaker 3: just it just got to that point where it's like
- 58:02Speaker 3: we don't even communicate. And I hate it. I mean,
- 58:07Speaker 3: I pray for him too, But like I said, I
- 58:09Speaker 3: got I got a family. I gotta take it here,
- 58:11Speaker 3: so I can't be dwelling too much on that situation. Yeah,
- 58:15Speaker 3: so I just continue to live my life. I pray
- 58:17Speaker 3: for him. I know, my daddy, you know, I know
- 58:20Speaker 3: what I mean. It is what it is. So I mean,
- 58:23Speaker 3: it's just like I just gotta I just got to
- 58:25Speaker 3: keep my head forward, you know, keep that tunnel vision.
- 58:29Speaker 3: If you pop into that tunnel, then you know, well
- 58:31Speaker 3: we'll see what happened. But right now, I just got it.
- 58:33Speaker 3: I can't. I can't keep you know, trying and it
- 58:37Speaker 3: ain't working out. So if if that alignes and it
- 58:40Speaker 3: comes back to you know, us talking again, then I'll
- 58:44Speaker 3: accept it.
- 58:45Speaker 2: Okay, I'm if you're open to it, I'll normally, you know,
- 58:51Speaker 2: I let.
- 58:53Speaker 1: People say, you know, what's on their heart and based
- 58:56Speaker 1: on the conversation that we've had. But I'm really gonna
- 59:02Speaker 1: ask you this question, and we're gonna land a plane here.
- 59:04Speaker 1: If you're open to it, if you can look at
- 59:07Speaker 1: your camera and speak to your dad right now, what
- 59:11Speaker 1: would you say to him?
- 59:12Speaker 3: I love you, man, I love you feel I mean,
- 59:16Speaker 3: I hate the relationship that we have. I wish it
- 59:18Speaker 3: was better. I just wanted the relationship that we never had.
- 59:25Speaker 3: You know, my feelings is hurt. I know yours probably
- 59:30Speaker 3: hurt too, you know. I mean, I'm a grown man now,
- 59:33Speaker 3: But I love my daddy. It's just just simple as that.
- 59:38Speaker 3: I mean, my children love you. You know. They always
- 59:41Speaker 3: ask me about you. So it kind of like give
- 59:43Speaker 3: me a bad feeling because I'm like, you know, way
- 59:46Speaker 3: easy for real, you know, But I don't know. I mean,
- 59:55Speaker 3: I don't know what else to say or what to
- 59:57Speaker 3: do at this point, man, I mean, we had our conversations.
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: You know, it just seemed like nothing works, nothing changes,
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: still the same, you know, and I know you feel it.
- 1:00:08Speaker 3: I know you feel it because if I feel it,
- 1:00:10Speaker 3: I know you feel it. You know all your children,
- 1:00:13Speaker 3: you know. But one thing, one thing I feel like
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: you need to do, man, is talk to talk to
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: your daughter. Talk to talk to Caitlyn. I mean, I
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: feel like if you get their relationship right with Caitlyn,
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: I think everything will align back to you know what
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: we're trying to get to. You know, you got grandchildren, man,
- 1:00:34Speaker 3: and we want our children to grow up knowing who
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: their granddaddy is. I mean, we know who our granddaddies were,
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: but our granddaddy wasn't really in our life like that.
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: And we would like for our kids to have their
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: grandfather in their life. They got their grandmas, they need
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: their granddaddy.
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: I'm proud of you. I appreciate it, and I'm thankful
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: that you felt safe enough.
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: That this is a safe place.
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: It's a safe space.
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: And I will even now that we know this, there's
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: a raise over the crying. I'm over here trying to
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: fight to you. So we're gonna we're gonna end this.
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: But I want to say to you that because you
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: spoke it out loud, because your heart was in it,
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: I asked the same when I tell you, okay, I
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: hear you, Holy Spirit. Like literally, my me and my
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: mother fought physically and to the point where I was
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: in college when this happened, and I was like, you know,
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: my dad raised me. My dad was military too, but
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: he's the one that got custody of me and my sister,
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: and so not really understanding why my mom couldn't have
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: us or didn't get win the custody, I just felt
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: like she hated me. But truth of the matter is
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: she was going through her own thing. She was dealing
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: with whole thing and navigating her life, and there was
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: a reason why God kept me in the space where
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: my dad raised me. But when I got older, I
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: ended up going to having to go back to my
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: mom and she nurtured me, she loved me. I learned
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: that she loved me back. You know, I loved her,
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: but I didn't know how to express it. So I'm really,
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: I really admire your heart and just saying you know,
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: I love you. You hurt me and I love you,
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: and sometimes, y'all, we gotta be honest. This is wild
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: that we land in here, but we have to be
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: honest with our feelings. We got to be honest about
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: what's going on because you never know the poor that
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: your dad could have and the impact that your dad
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: could have not just on you.
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: And your kids, but to this world.
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: Because you just said that you know, and so Man
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: of God, I pray that when you see this, when
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: you see this, that you'll just hear his heart and
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: hear this love. And if anybody else is going through
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: this and experiencing this some disruption in the parental child relationship,
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: I just encourage you to first pray about it, and
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: I hope that God allows you to see your your
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: family members as humans right because life is too short life,
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: life is too short to hold grudges, Life is too
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: short to just not believe that God can can restore all.
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: And so Flos, I am so proud of you.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: I love you, dear, I love deeply, like really real talk,
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: like you family, real talk. I pray for you consistently.
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: I'm gonna continue praying for you. Does at way this
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: one went kind of uh? I mean, I mean it
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: took a little like a little you know, but you know,
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: the beauty, the beautiful thing about it is, I believe
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: the conversation that needed to happen happened. That's that's the
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: that's that's that's God like we this, this this is
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: God's platform. So whatever conversation, whatever needs to be said,
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: he knows that, and all we have to do is
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: be obedient.
- 1:04:00Speaker 3: Now.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: So I'm grateful that you felt safe enough to express that,
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, because I know it's not easy, right,
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: but also and i know freedom comes in in the
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: trans transparency and freedom comes into testimony, you know what
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: I'm saying.
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: So I'm looking forward to I'm looking.
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: Forward and to the victory because the victory has already
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: already had, you know what I'm saying.
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: To to see that, because I'm come to see the movie.
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: Listen, I'm coming to see the move just like y'all
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: went in South Centers, I'm coming to see I'm coming to.
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: See just like y'all went and see South Centers. I'm
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: going to.
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: See Christian Christian Tristian McFarland and his dad was Ronald Randall,
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: Mister Randall we were ready for it.
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: We are ready for it. And it's not just gonna
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: be on T Move, It's gonna be on Netflix. Okay,
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: we speak not Oh is it?
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: Oh?
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: I said T moves everybody as well. I'm glad, y'all.
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: We love you guys.
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: Thank you Tristan, thank you, Devil Ray, thank you Paris,

- 1:05:23Speaker 1: Y'all didn't hear him. He just corrected me on his name.
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: But my real name small small flax.
