- 0:01Speaker 1: Hi, Hi, dude, what's going on? Welcome, Welcome to the show.
- 0:05Speaker 1: Thanks for holding.
- 0:08Speaker 2: I just had to call in and talk about this
- 0:09Speaker 2: because it was it was alarming. My fiance and I
- 0:14Speaker 2: had are, like, I don't know, our first like old
- 0:18Speaker 2: person argument. We got really into like a full blown,
- 0:27Speaker 2: like screaming argument over the thermostat. I felt like I
- 0:31Speaker 2: was a retiree in Florida and a condo, Like I
- 0:34Speaker 2: walked in and it was at sixty four, and I
- 0:37Speaker 2: just like popped off.
- 0:38Speaker 3: I was so cold. And then for the next twenty
- 0:41Speaker 3: minutes we were talking about like temperatures and like our bills,
- 0:45Speaker 3: utility bills, and what constitutes a comfortable breeze and like
- 0:50Speaker 3: a gust of like you know, like a like a draft,
- 0:53Speaker 3: and and he eventually he was like, just put on
- 0:57Speaker 3: a swutcher, and I was like, why don't you take
- 0:58Speaker 3: one off? So I guess we've like officially reached that
- 1:02Speaker 3: stage of adulthood where four plays like arguing over the
- 1:06Speaker 3: temperature on the service sat and you know, figuring out
- 1:09Speaker 3: who's going to turn off the lights.
- 1:11Speaker 1: Sixty four is kind of freezing, isn't it.
- 1:13Speaker 4: I will actually die that is so cold, Like is
- 1:17Speaker 4: he like an like cold blooded?
- 1:19Speaker 1: Is he? You might have to see if your husband's vampire.
- 1:22Speaker 3: He might be. I mean he always keeps it to that.
- 1:26Speaker 3: It's crazy. Uh.
- 1:29Speaker 1: We keep ours at night at sixty eight and I
- 1:33Speaker 1: think it's freezing. No, I think it's freezing eighty. And
- 1:36Speaker 1: when I get up in the morning and I start
- 1:37Speaker 1: to get ready, I used to like pump it up
- 1:40Speaker 1: to seventy five or seventy seven, seventy six for for
- 1:43Speaker 1: my wife. And she said to me, not that long ago,
- 1:45Speaker 1: stop doing that. I want it cold in the morning.
- 1:47Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, okay, so so now I get up
- 1:49Speaker 1: and I'm too cold. It's really bizarre. Situ hot I
- 1:53Speaker 1: do so I can't wait. It makes me rush to
- 1:56Speaker 1: go outside, like I'm actually looking forward to in the
- 1:57Speaker 1: morning when he gets a little bit hotter. Yeah. I
- 1:59Speaker 1: like that early morning heat, but I don't like heat
- 2:02Speaker 1: the rest of the day. Well, at least you had
- 2:04Speaker 1: you had that adult when you say old person argument,
- 2:07Speaker 1: like how old are you? Corey right now?
- 2:09Speaker 3: Where in our mid thirties his mid thirties kind of old.
- 2:16Speaker 1: I think mid thirties now if you were if you
- 2:20Speaker 1: I just talked to this, I just talked to this couple.
- 2:22Speaker 1: They're twenty four years old. They've been married since they're eighteen. Like,
- 2:25Speaker 1: having that argument at twenty four, I go like, damn,
- 2:28Speaker 1: But if you're thirty and you're argument about thermostaff that
- 2:29Speaker 1: seems normal. That's not a world old person. If you're
- 2:34Speaker 1: thirty and you're having a conversation of where you want
- 2:36Speaker 1: to be buried after you die, that's a little bit
- 2:38Speaker 1: more real. Yeah, Like my wife had had that conversation
- 2:41Speaker 1: with the other day. Well, well, like where you want
- 2:43Speaker 1: to be buried? Yeah, so I was in we were
- 2:44Speaker 1: in a meeting with like the people, you know, likew
- 2:46Speaker 1: talks about the death book. Yeah, and one of the
- 2:48Speaker 1: things they want to know, you know, you talk about
- 2:50Speaker 1: like okay, so who gets what gets distributed? Who gets
- 2:53Speaker 1: it when you die? And then it's like where where
- 2:54Speaker 1: do you want to be buried when you die? And
- 2:56Speaker 1: Blake has an answer, she knows exactly what you want,
- 2:58Speaker 1: and they're asking me and I was like, well, I
- 3:00Speaker 1: don't know. And then and then well you don't want
- 3:02Speaker 1: to get Blake, get me want to get cremated? And
- 3:05Speaker 1: I'm like, I don't know if I want to do that,
- 3:07Speaker 1: And they're like, well why not? And I was like,
- 3:09Speaker 1: and honest to God, I'm saying I don't want to
- 3:11Speaker 1: get cremated. And people laugh at this because I'm saying,
- 3:13Speaker 1: what if when you go to the next place, you
- 3:17Speaker 1: need your whole body? And then I know there's the
- 3:19Speaker 1: argument off, yeah, but it's your soul.
- 3:20Speaker 3: I know.
- 3:21Speaker 1: But what if do you get up there and they're like, whoa,
- 3:24Speaker 1: you got cremated. We're gonna keep you over here in
- 3:26Speaker 1: this dish for a while and can figure out Well, my.
- 3:28Speaker 4: Question for you is like, let's say that's correct, right,
- 3:31Speaker 4: So when you picture heaven, right, you just picture like
- 3:36Speaker 4: some angels walking around that look amazing because those are
- 3:39Speaker 4: the people that did not get cremated, and then like
- 3:41Speaker 4: just dust figures.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Uh maybe just like sand dunes, maybe the sand dues,
- 3:46Speaker 1: all those two. But I'd be like, I think you
- 3:48Speaker 1: get the what if they get you get to pick
- 3:49Speaker 1: the age you died. You're going to heaven, man, what's
- 3:52Speaker 1: your favorite year? I think eighteen eighteen, Eh, we'll give
- 3:55Speaker 1: me twenty one, twenty. You can pick the year so
- 3:57Speaker 1: that you get to be that person interested. I'm just saying,
- 4:00Speaker 1: you don't know. So I I didn't feel that I
- 4:03Speaker 1: had the right. I was ready to give that answer
- 4:05Speaker 1: in this meeting. And then I was like, do I
- 4:07Speaker 1: want to be buried to my mom in Tucson? And
- 4:10Speaker 1: I was like, She's like, what they've done with that
- 4:12Speaker 1: area right now is not exciting. I was like a
- 4:15Speaker 1: corner no. So I was like, I don't want to
- 4:17Speaker 1: do that, So I'm trying to figure out where i
- 4:18Speaker 1: want to go. So that I was like, why don't have
- 4:19Speaker 1: to give an answer right now? And they go like, well,
- 4:20Speaker 1: you know about this meeting for a month ago. I did,
- 4:22Speaker 1: but I know we were talking about this up. Yeah,
- 4:27Speaker 1: So that to me is an old person conversation. But
- 4:31Speaker 1: good for you, Corey. You're fighting over the temperature in
- 4:33Speaker 1: your mid thirties, sixty four to cold. We got your back.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Thanks for calling Ed, Corey. And then I told Blake,
- 4:40Speaker 1: I do so much, so many peptides. I'm never gonna die.
- 4:43Speaker 1: That's probably true. I'll be more than happy to spread
- 4:46Speaker 1: your ashes where you want to go, but I will
- 4:47Speaker 1: live forever. Do you want to be immortal?
- 4:51Speaker 3: We're not.
- 4:52Speaker 1: I would not want to be immortal, rough it'd be
- 4:55Speaker 1: so much fun to be so old and young looking
- 4:58Speaker 1: and seeing everybody in my life. That's that's the second God.
- 5:11Speaker 4: We have lost, lost, and I'm on my way.
