- 0:25Speaker 1: There is one who commented, told me, thez, alright, we press on.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Yeah, it's transfer portal like you're not telling me anything.
- 0:36Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Buddy, yeah, one of the biggest fans, oh yeah, of course.
- 0:44Speaker 1: All right, we got some bunch of new transfer portal.
- 0:48Speaker 1: Yeah, I've been doing work man, a lot, of, a lot of Giving, a lot of taking pulled up the u-haul in.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Tuscaloosa said hey, man, just throw us anything.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Yeah, what you got all right, yeah, yep.
- 1:03Speaker 2: CC depth maybe some, maybe something, maybe something.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Lot to get to.
- 1:08Speaker 1: We've got a lot of transfers to go over, as Florida State has brought in a new Class of transfers or that will and all of a sudden, continue to bring him in.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Yeah continue to bring him in there they got about eight guys, as you see it right now, and they're already ranked like seven, right, just according to two, four, seven last couple days made a lot of movement, jumped up into a top-ten transfer portal class.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Those rankings are even more subjective and oh yeah yeah, but again you've you've added a lot, right, you know you started off with DJ or it started off with Marvin Jones Jr.
- 1:50Speaker 2: Yeah, actually, but you know, kept it going with DJ and in these last few days They've added a lot of nice pieces to the puzzle man it's.
- 1:59Speaker 2: We're gonna go over those pieces.
- 2:01Speaker 1: We're gonna go over all the transfer pieces.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Stick around For the end of the show, shuttle time.
- 2:08Speaker 1: You should do that every show.
- 2:09Speaker 1: It's the best part of the show, reason why the show exists right.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Stick around for shuttle time.
- 2:16Speaker 1: We're gonna go over the national championship tonight.
- 2:19Speaker 1: We're gonna get the picks that you got to take to the bank.
- 2:23Speaker 1: You don't miss it.
- 2:25Speaker 1: But first we got transfer portal.
- 2:27Speaker 1: We're gonna go over these transfers, the additions, and See where they'll fit on next year's roster.
- 2:35Speaker 1: And we're also gonna talk about the outgoing transfers and see if you know out which one outweighs the other.
- 2:43Speaker 1: You know.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:44Speaker 2: If you're actually Upset about any of them, yeah.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Or addition by subtraction, or if you're just trying to break water and you know it's a numbers game Tread water, break wind that's what I always see.
- 2:58Speaker 2: A cheese, cut that cheese, man.
- 3:01Speaker 1: All right, okay, let's start.
- 3:06Speaker 1: We got DJ, we got Marvin Jones Jr.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Where do we pick up?
- 3:10Speaker 1: Last Did we?
- 3:10Speaker 1: We kind of talked about Grady Kelly.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Yeah, we talked about Grady Kelly, defensive lineman from Colorado State.
- 3:17Speaker 2: I don't think he had committed at that point.
- 3:19Speaker 2: It was pretty shortly after that he, he committed.
- 3:22Speaker 2: And these kids, I mean, they they're pretty much just going on their visit and if somebody can catch him coming out of the Moore Center and get an interview with them, they're just oh, yeah, yeah, I'm coming here next year.
- 3:31Speaker 2: It's that kind of thing.
- 3:32Speaker 2: A lot less, you know announcing online and stuff like that.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Well, that's because they're men now.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm in the game.
- 3:41Speaker 1: They're ready to just get to it.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Ready to get to work right and I think we'll start with Grady Kelly.
- 3:46Speaker 2: I think he's about six, three, maybe the two ninety range.
- 3:49Speaker 2: He's got multiple years defensive tackle, originally from Navar, florida, so he's an 850 kid.
- 3:56Speaker 2: You know he's somewhat local.
- 3:59Speaker 2: I Think it's a really nice Add.
- 4:03Speaker 2: You know you're losing Malcolm Ray to Rutgers.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Rutgers.
- 4:06Speaker 1: So what about that?
- 4:07Speaker 1: Rank him who's better?
- 4:08Speaker 1: I would.
- 4:09Speaker 1: I would say right now the upside is on Grady Kelly.
- 4:11Speaker 2: I mean you know you?
- 4:12Speaker 2: You've had your shot with Malcolm Ray right in here since 2019.
- 4:15Speaker 2: Yeah and he's been solid in the last few years took a little bit of a dip in production this year.
- 4:21Speaker 2: So I think you're looking as that as a, as an upgrade.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Okay, hopefully that's not too harsh of a word.
- 4:30Speaker 2: I mean, you're not, you know it just you're not losing?
- 4:33Speaker 2: Yeah, you're not losing anything when you add a kid like Grady Kelly and I look, assuming that farmer and Jackson, you know, are still here when the season begins.
- 4:42Speaker 2: Um, you know, it's looking a little bit less Of a disaster in the defensive tackle room right now.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Right, even if that's your only guy that you add at that position.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Still looking at a lot of other guys up there.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Let's go down.
- 4:56Speaker 1: We all the Florida state also got to commit it from a guy.
- 5:01Speaker 1: Let's do it in order.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Was it earth Earl little junior that on the in the secondary from Alabama?
- 5:08Speaker 1: Two guys from Alabama.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Right, we got a couple from Alabama, one that just happened today, malik Benson, wide receiver.
- 5:15Speaker 2: It's about six one, six, two, 200 pounds, something like that.
- 5:19Speaker 2: But it the story with him is his speed.
- 5:22Speaker 2: He's a kid, that's a 10, 10, 400 meter, which is very Like.
- 5:27Speaker 2: You don't find kids over six feet, guys over six feet.
- 5:30Speaker 2: They can run that fast.
- 5:31Speaker 2: You think about a little bit of a smaller version of DK Metcalf.
- 5:36Speaker 2: Whatever reason last year didn't really click for him at Alabama, we'll see.
- 5:43Speaker 2: I mean, he was the number one, number one Juco wide receiver, number one Juco player a year ago when he signed with Alabama.
- 5:50Speaker 2: So there was definitely a lot of Hope and, and you know, optimism that he was gonna be a big playmaker for him.
- 5:57Speaker 2: So he's definitely got plus traits.
- 6:00Speaker 2: I the speed is is intriguing man.
- 6:03Speaker 2: You know we're gonna be missing that, that deep threat in terms of body.
- 6:07Speaker 2: So you'd like a guy that can maybe just outrun everybody.
- 6:12Speaker 2: Okay so that's a that's a solid pickup.
- 6:14Speaker 2: Earl little is a guy that that you know you.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Basically he's another kid that you went back, just like with Marvin Jones Jr.
- 6:20Speaker 2: You went back to the 2023 class and and signed one of your top prospects.
- 6:25Speaker 2: There you go.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Essentially, he went to Alabama, lifted weights for a year, got a year, the Nick Saban DB room.
- 6:31Speaker 2: So I mean that that's a huge, huge pull and the familiarity with him and Pat Sertan.
- 6:37Speaker 2: That's only gonna be, you know, more productive he's gonna, can you know, conducive to him getting on the field early.
- 6:45Speaker 2: So I think he's gonna play a big part in the secondary next year.
- 6:49Speaker 2: I Was hoping maybe he would think about safety.
- 6:53Speaker 2: I think it's gonna be a straight corner for him.
- 6:55Speaker 2: Another DB that they got Devonte Brown, miami from Miami.
- 6:59Speaker 2: I think you may be looking at a position change for him in terms of moving him to safety.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Struggled a little bit at corner for Miami this year when he did play, got into the doghouse of the DB's coach down there.
- 7:13Speaker 2: You know Interesting note about him as his younger brother was very highly rated Defensive back recruit that signed with Miami last year.
- 7:20Speaker 2: He was a freshman this past year.
- 7:22Speaker 2: The spring portal will be interesting to watch With with him that those are two, two more kids that play for Pat Sertan in high school.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Oh, so you're starting to see a theme here and you're gonna You're gonna have four or five different defensive backs that are from the Broward County area, didn't directly play for Pat Sertan but are from that area.
- 7:43Speaker 2: You know Edwin Joseph Conrad Hussie.
- 7:45Speaker 2: Both went to different high schools but still in that same county.
- 7:48Speaker 2: So I Think you're gonna see a real heavy, lean, heavy influence of South Florida there in the secondary for these next couple seasons.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Yep, but you know the SEC speaking of a guy that for, say, recruited last year another wide receiver from LSU, jaylen Brown.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Yeah, another wide receiver, another kid.
- 8:08Speaker 2: That that is pure speed.
- 8:09Speaker 2: That's a theme here with these offensive transfers at the skill.
- 8:13Speaker 2: You know the skill positions Redshirted at LSU.
- 8:16Speaker 2: So again, it's a kid that, like the other two, you know little.
- 8:19Speaker 2: And Marvin Jones Jr yeah, you went back to the 23 class and you signed one of your top wide receiver prospects.
- 8:26Speaker 2: I think that's a definite.
- 8:29Speaker 2: With him and Benson, it's a definite upgrade in terms of looking at what you lost, in terms of Not so much Coleman and Wilson, but you know you lost Goldie Lawrence from the transfer.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:42Speaker 2: I don't think there's gonna be anything they can do to replace Keon Coleman.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Right and let you know, short of another, another balloting finalist.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Talk about who was here.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Right, lawrence, you like that position was left, yeah, and I think you probably guys that you wanted last year, right, and you'll probably see a couple at least one more wide receiver likely portal out when the spring hits, just just due to a numbers game.
- 9:10Speaker 2: But you know, you take those transfer portal, you add them to the guys that you already counting on next year.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Yeah, and I think you know, I think you're breaking even there, right.
- 9:19Speaker 2: It's just gonna be a proof it year for a lot of guys at the wide receiver spot right, you're also getting a guy, douglas brother, jalen Lucas, from Indiana right.
- 9:31Speaker 2: It's kind of a easy guy running back wide receiver.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Yeah, Swiss Army knife guy you know a great kick returner.
- 9:37Speaker 1: That's something you play running back.
- 9:39Speaker 2: You can do pretty much.
- 9:40Speaker 2: That's a good pickup yeah he's got a lot of what his older brother has in his game.
- 9:44Speaker 2: I think he's just a couple steps faster because he has home run hitter speed and I, I wouldn't it wouldn't shock me to see him line up in some running back packages and, just you know, try to try to get a big hitter with him.
- 9:57Speaker 1: So you get three, three weapons, three skill position.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Yeah, and speed is speed.
- 10:02Speaker 2: The emphasis.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Right, that's good.
- 10:04Speaker 1: All right, so DJ gonna have some weapons to go to, and then on the defensive side you got a Grady Kelly defense alignment.
- 10:12Speaker 2: Yeah, and they're waiting on a couple guys man.
- 10:15Speaker 2: They're waiting on big toco from from Oregon State.
- 10:17Speaker 2: I know he was gonna visit USC.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Let you know yesterday, last evening.
- 10:23Speaker 2: Still no real word on that Kid out of West Virginia who I can't attempt to say his name, I'm just gonna butcher it.
- 10:30Speaker 2: But he's another young kid.
- 10:32Speaker 2: That that shows a lot of upside.
- 10:34Speaker 2: Okay, had three or four sacks and very limited time last year for West Virginia.
- 10:39Speaker 2: That's another kid they're waiting on.
- 10:40Speaker 2: So they're kind of waiting.
- 10:42Speaker 2: See, with that defense offensive line, you know I don't know that that Ferguson is getting from Alabama is gonna gonna be a realistic possibility for Florida State.
- 10:54Speaker 2: It seems like he's kind of Just just beginning the process.
- 10:58Speaker 2: You know these kids they haven't to the 15th Theoretically, but if some of them are already graduated, you know it, they may take a little longer.
- 11:08Speaker 2: But yeah, offensive line, it looks like it.
- 11:11Speaker 2: You may not even add in this right this spring.
- 11:14Speaker 2: So we'll see.
- 11:16Speaker 1: But again, I think they they got the guys to come back.
- 11:21Speaker 1: That was first.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean you getting buyers back with what you lost.
- 11:25Speaker 2: Eventually you're gonna have to see some of these young guys in high school.
- 11:29Speaker 2: You know, sink or swim.
- 11:30Speaker 2: If they're looking to bring in another four along the offensive line, that signals big trouble In that regard, at least to me.
- 11:39Speaker 1: No, yeah, you got to see these guys that you've got right, right but again you know the spring portal is.
- 11:46Speaker 2: It's another, it's another opportunity.
- 11:48Speaker 2: You may see some guys that you know after they see them in the spring or kind of go through their little process.
- 11:54Speaker 2: They, they might tell some guys that, hey, you find another home.
- 11:57Speaker 2: I mean you've seen a lot of turnover already With with some of the underclassmen on the offensive line, guys like we, sean sap, you know, can I a Charlton, just medically retired Fosse, yeah big aos.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Yeah, that's another defensive tackle guy that you lost.
- 12:14Speaker 2: I mean it.
- 12:15Speaker 2: They had a lot of hopes for him.
- 12:16Speaker 2: The word was he got passed pretty, pretty early by KJ Samson, the freshman, in terms of getting reps and playing time.
- 12:24Speaker 2: I think he just got squeezed out due to the the numbers game man.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Yeah, well, that's, that'll do it, man yeah and it.
- 12:35Speaker 2: I would expect maybe Two or three more more transfers.
- 12:40Speaker 2: I would like to see a linebacker somewhere.
- 12:42Speaker 2: Yeah but you know, yeah, I don't, I don't know, dude, doesn't doesn't seem to be bearing a whole lot of success.
- 12:51Speaker 2: All that, all that portal this year, man that position.
- 12:57Speaker 2: Yeah for that position.
- 13:00Speaker 1: So they're not.
- 13:01Speaker 1: They don't have their eyes on anyone well they did.
- 13:04Speaker 2: They brought a couple guys in.
- 13:05Speaker 2: You know the kid from Charlotte that was committed to UCF, I think it Mikhail green.
- 13:11Speaker 2: I don't think that's gonna really materialize.
- 13:14Speaker 2: It's an eligibility kind of thing right.
- 13:16Speaker 2: And you know, the cues guy they brought in, stefan Thompson, likely gonna follow the defensive coordinator out to Nebraska, so Okay, well again, you know you're losing two linebackers.
- 13:29Speaker 2: Yeah, you gotta add something, man, right You're losing two.
- 13:34Speaker 2: So that's one position that needs to be addressed it does and it there's not a whole lot of you know what seemed like likely Candidates to fix that issue right now.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Maybe it's different when the spring hits and guys Start really thinking about stuff.
- 13:52Speaker 2: But I just you know, I think what you're gonna likely be depending on is a lot of youth at that position next season Might just have to start looking at ways to cover up for it.
- 14:03Speaker 1: So Okay, well, playoffs are set.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Nfl playoffs yeah, they are my dolphins.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Everything just move it.
- 14:15Speaker 2: I just want to get some barbecue in Kansas City, man, oh yeah 13 degree weather.
- 14:19Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that's, that's, that's the move.
- 14:22Speaker 3: That's just what they do man.
- 14:23Speaker 1: They're injuries, seems like every year it's two of the right guy, I mean I mean, who else would you have right now, right for two?
- 14:34Speaker 2: exactly like who.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Realistically, I can't even think that far back like who.
- 14:38Speaker 2: Who else was on the board at that point?
- 14:41Speaker 1: Oh, who did you pass up?
- 14:43Speaker 2: Oh, her, that's the that's the, that's the great debate, so I mean.
- 14:47Speaker 3: Or is he the?
- 14:48Speaker 1: guy.
- 14:48Speaker 1: No, I don't even know if that's the debate, if you would say, the people that hate on them.
- 14:53Speaker 1: Yeah, or would rather have people that think that, don't think he's not the guy, but that's just the way it is, but that's the guy they used to like.
- 15:00Speaker 2: We could have had this guy.
- 15:01Speaker 2: We could have had Herbert instead of to.
- 15:03Speaker 1: Well, yeah, of course okay, and they were in the same.
- 15:06Speaker 1: Well, he did.
- 15:07Speaker 2: He did already.
- 15:08Speaker 2: He has already gotten two coaches fired, though.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Oh, I know well, right now neither of them have really done anything in the big games.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Yeah, I'd still probably lean to a man.
- 15:19Speaker 2: Yeah, well you can't fall in love.
- 15:22Speaker 2: They're gonna be going to play the chiefs.
- 15:24Speaker 2: Yeah, you're in the playoffs.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Texans Ravens get the one seed, not your Niners got the one seed.
- 15:31Speaker 1: In the NFC, the Packers made it.
- 15:33Speaker 1: The Saints, however, did not make it.
- 15:38Speaker 1: They played the Falcons in a game that started at the same time.
- 15:44Speaker 2: That was basically.
- 15:44Speaker 2: The loser loses their job.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Well, yeah.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Maybe both.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Yeah, Arthur Smith was losing his job anyway, but I think yeah, yeah well, I don't really give a crap about that game.
- 15:55Speaker 1: I just, I just want to talk about the end of it.
- 15:58Speaker 2: I was amazing.
- 15:59Speaker 1: You saw the end, the Math out.
- 16:03Speaker 1: Honey badger gets a pick and he should have made it a touchdown.
- 16:07Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, stumbled out, but they get the ball at the one yard line or whatever.
- 16:12Speaker 1: It's like an over a minute left and they called victory formation from the sideline and the players Didn't run victory formation.
- 16:21Speaker 1: The formation was victory formation.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Oh, they ran it out of that.
- 16:26Speaker 2: They just ran it out of that.
- 16:27Speaker 2: Yeah, it was beautiful.
- 16:32Speaker 1: To get Jamal Williams a touchdown?
- 16:33Speaker 2: yeah, to get Jamal Williams a touchdown, he would not score it all season after having a career season the last year with the Detroit Lions.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Oh man, that was funny.
- 16:46Speaker 3: Well, I apologize to DA, because the play was victory.
- 16:52Speaker 1: I was the first place to DA.
- 16:53Speaker 3: It was a team decision and I think when you have a team around and I ask the guys, I say, guys, what do you want to do?
- 16:59Speaker 3: We know how much Jamal means to the team and I understood from DA's perspective.
- 17:03Speaker 3: So I give him that.
- 17:04Speaker 3: But DA didn't condone that at all, he didn't.
- 17:11Speaker 2: However, we decided to do it.
- 17:13Speaker 3: We got an interception to the one-yard line.
- 17:16Speaker 1: However, da no one gives a shit what DA says.
- 17:21Speaker 2: He was defensive coordinator I got here.
- 17:23Speaker 2: I didn't even know his name for the first two years I was here.
- 17:27Speaker 3: That's why I call him DA.
- 17:28Speaker 3: However, when you return the ball to the one-yard line and you have the opportunity, we just had the opportunity and we decided Do you think it's the kind of thing, though, that is forgotten fairly quickly, or you know what I mean?
- 17:40Speaker 3: I think it should be forgotten, especially when the score is already 41-17.
- 17:44Speaker 3: I don't know how much worse you can get.
- 17:47Speaker 3: But I got a ton of respect for Arthur Smith and the coach that he is.
- 17:52Speaker 2: I think it's some incredible things.
- 17:53Speaker 2: It's good of him to say that, but disrespect him.
- 17:55Speaker 3: That was not my intention.
- 17:56Speaker 3: My intention was to lead the team that I've been with, the entire year.
- 18:01Speaker 2: If he knows him, then he's got respect for it.
- 18:03Speaker 2: He's not trying to disrespect him, it's the same thing, as like a bad flip.
- 18:07Speaker 3: Every game in the end zone.
- 18:08Speaker 1: Yeah, it really is.
- 18:09Speaker 1: It's not trying to disrespect him.
- 18:12Speaker 2: No, it's more about getting your guy.
- 18:14Speaker 2: No, it's not even about that.
- 18:15Speaker 2: It's getting your guy.
- 18:15Speaker 2: It's pro man, it's pro.
- 18:17Speaker 3: It's not about regrets, it's not about regret.
- 18:19Speaker 3: It's about us, as a team, making a collective decision.
- 18:22Speaker 2: There you go, a collective decision.
- 18:24Speaker 3: If anything is dead Because that was not his call, Cut him whatever.
- 18:28Speaker 1: Yeah, he sees the zone.
- 18:29Speaker 3: He's right there Free agent, what decision are you talking about At the end?
- 18:32Speaker 3: All right, ok, at the end, what decision?
- 18:35Speaker 3: To go for the touchdown, to go for the touchdown?
- 18:37Speaker 3: Is that something to decide on the sideline after the pick, or did you wait until you got out there?
- 18:42Speaker 3: We decided on the field.
- 18:44Speaker 3: As a team, we don't regret.
- 18:48Speaker 3: Do we regret, for scoring 41 points, or no?
- 18:51Speaker 3: Do you think we regret that?
- 18:53Speaker 3: Well, you do have to play these guys twice a year.
- 18:55Speaker 3: That's all I'm saying.
- 18:56Speaker 3: We already played them twice.
- 18:59Speaker 3: I know what I'm talking about.
- 19:00Speaker 3: Somebody's got to play these guys twice a year.
- 19:03Speaker 3: That's all.
- 19:05Speaker 3: I love the music.
- 19:06Speaker 3: How do you feel about it?
- 19:07Speaker 3: Tell me how you feel about it, that's not good.
- 19:09Speaker 3: How do you feel?
- 19:09Speaker 3: Why don't you feel good about it?
- 19:11Speaker 3: Because you got to play these guys twice a year.
- 19:13Speaker 3: But what about?
- 19:14Speaker 3: It makes you not feel good about it.
- 19:17Speaker 2: That's what kills me.
- 19:18Speaker 2: Is like dude.
- 19:18Speaker 3: You think they're not out here trying to kill me every game Right.
- 19:23Speaker 2: Well, I'm just telling you.
- 19:24Speaker 2: The NFL oh no, they're going to give me and.
- 19:28Speaker 3: I'm telling you as respectfully as I can that I respectfully disagree with you.
- 19:33Speaker 3: That's all.
- 19:33Speaker 3: You disagree with me or the entire team, whoever made that decision?
- 19:37Speaker 3: So you disagree with the entire team.
- 19:39Speaker 3: No, no, no, I'm just being honest.
- 19:43Speaker 3: So you get a show, and that's what I am doing.
- 19:46Speaker 3: He needs that reality.
- 19:48Speaker 3: Well, I apologize to the NBA.
- 19:50Speaker 3: He needs a reality Because the play was victory.
- 19:53Speaker 1: He needs a reality show man yeah.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Yeah, well, that's what I wanted to discuss there, and I think we pretty much said what we needed to say there.
- 20:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:07Speaker 1: You know that was hilarious.
- 20:11Speaker 2: Great Great stuff.
- 20:13Speaker 1: Love James, love James.
- 20:15Speaker 1: I mean the argument I guess on the other side is Cares it's, yeah it's ridiculous.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Cares, nobody would have said anything.
- 20:24Speaker 2: They did it to get their guy a touchdown Right, you know.
- 20:28Speaker 1: Well, here comes the victors.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Michigan is your national champion.
- 20:33Speaker 1: Was it a new game, man, no, you were right.
- 20:37Speaker 2: It was a game.
- 20:38Speaker 2: Washington's defense they could have done something.
- 20:40Speaker 2: Washington's defense did what they could.
- 20:42Speaker 2: Yeah, let me tell you what lost the game for Washington, it was Michael Penix.
- 20:49Speaker 1: Yeah, it was too big for him, he missed.
- 20:52Speaker 1: There were too many throws that he missed Not even tough throws.
- 20:56Speaker 2: He missed wide open guys.
- 20:58Speaker 2: Yeah Sucks.
- 21:00Speaker 1: Feel bad for the kid Sucks.
- 21:03Speaker 2: But, it is what it is.
- 21:04Speaker 2: Michigan is your champion.
- 21:07Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, what do you all right?
- 21:08Speaker 1: Well, let's just ask you, since we're right here in North Florida Sports Network, a full strength Florida State defense.
- 21:16Speaker 1: I just would have liked to see it.
- 21:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:19Speaker 2: I would have liked the opportunity to see the defensive line against that offensive line, like, yeah, indiana, I'm not sure that that Alabama's defensive line is as deep as Florida State's, so I think that it would have been kind of similar to that.
- 21:34Speaker 2: And I'll be honest with you, nobody at the skill positions in terms of the wide receivers really, really scare me a ton in terms of Florida State's defense.
- 21:45Speaker 2: I would have liked to see it.
- 21:47Speaker 2: Michigan's defense is really good.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Yeah, their defensive line would have been a problem.
- 21:53Speaker 2: Right, they got good corners.
- 21:56Speaker 1: It would have been an ugly game.
- 21:57Speaker 1: Yeah, and that's, I think, what you wanted you got the message.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Well, what I think is, you know, that doesn't mean they couldn't, they didn't have a chance to win the game Right and you know, and if I'm a Georgia fan, I understand.
- 22:10Speaker 2: Yeah, if I'm a Georgia fan, I'm pretty pissed off that we lost that game.
- 22:14Speaker 1: Now they should have been.
- 22:15Speaker 1: They were the best one loss team, even though they beat Right.
- 22:20Speaker 2: They were beaten by Al.
- 22:21Speaker 2: My biggest takeaway from this playoff is that Texas Washington.
- 22:27Speaker 2: Neither one of you guys should have been an automatic lock for the playoff like you were.
- 22:33Speaker 1: Well, yeah.
- 22:34Speaker 2: I think that's clear.
- 22:34Speaker 1: That's playoff.
- 22:36Speaker 1: I think it's clear.
- 22:36Speaker 1: So you get hit and would have Michigan probably.
- 22:38Speaker 1: You know it's a different story if there's 12 teams.
- 22:42Speaker 2: But Right, if there's 12 teams, I've both got it in bro.
- 22:45Speaker 2: Yeah, you did.
- 22:46Speaker 1: And then like he's out, man, he's out, he got his title.
- 22:49Speaker 2: He's like yeah, I don't, he is out of there.
- 22:51Speaker 2: I don't care what anybody says about it.
- 22:52Speaker 2: You cheated, you did this, whatever.
- 22:54Speaker 1: I'm on to the NFL.
- 22:55Speaker 1: I'll try to get that one.
- 22:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I beat Nick Saban.
- 22:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I won the title.
- 23:00Speaker 2: I'm going to the NFL.
- 23:01Speaker 2: I'm going to coach the Chargers.
- 23:02Speaker 2: I'm going to live in LA.
- 23:04Speaker 2: I'm going to trade the khaki pants in for some skinny jeans and whatever's Right, whatever's popping out there in Hollywood Yep, milk steak, milk steak, yeah.
- 23:16Speaker 1: He's not going to change.
- 23:16Speaker 1: He's going to go to classic Harbaugh, Michigan, that's he wouldn't have wanted any other way.
- 23:21Speaker 2: He's going to be eating that Keemaw.
- 23:22Speaker 2: He ran the ball.
- 23:23Speaker 2: Keemaw burgers.
- 23:24Speaker 2: Yeah, oh, he's going to go LA.
- 23:27Speaker 1: Yeah, keemaw burgers, he's going to go to the Chargers.
- 23:30Speaker 2: My wife's turning me on to him.
- 23:31Speaker 2: You know I can't eat red meat anymore.
- 23:33Speaker 2: No more milk steak, no more milk steak.
- 23:35Speaker 1: It's actually learned that we're not supposed to be drinking cow milk.
- 23:38Speaker 2: Yeah, it's wheatgrass and Keemaw burgers.
- 23:41Speaker 2: Man, that's him, that's what he's getting into.
- 23:46Speaker 2: Why not?
- 23:47Speaker 2: He just won the title.
- 23:48Speaker 1: Yeah, he'd won their invitation National champions man First time since before the BCS 97, where they split it.
- 23:55Speaker 1: They split it Before that it was it was, who?
- 23:59Speaker 2: God, who knows?
- 24:01Speaker 1: What they wanted.
- 24:01Speaker 1: The last time Somebody was going to get a reunion, yeah.
- 24:04Speaker 2: This is big for them because it's undisputed and it's been since black and white days.
- 24:09Speaker 1: Yep, you know 15 years Old pictures Undisputed national champions, well deserved.
- 24:16Speaker 2: Well deserved by Michigan.
- 24:18Speaker 1: I mean it's not their fault.
- 24:19Speaker 1: I know you're never going to get over it.
- 24:21Speaker 1: I know that.
- 24:23Speaker 2: No man.
- 24:24Speaker 1: It's not Michigan's fault.
- 24:25Speaker 1: They even told you when they reacted to the game.
- 24:29Speaker 1: Yeah, we were surprised.
- 24:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:33Speaker 2: The FSU didn't make it Right and I guess they figured that Anybody?
- 24:37Speaker 1: I mean yeah.
- 24:38Speaker 2: They're just going to pick teams to put in there.
- 24:40Speaker 2: We figured Georgia might be in there too.
- 24:42Speaker 2: You know it's.
- 24:43Speaker 1: Well, they just really.
- 24:44Speaker 1: It was a really bad year to have just 14.
- 24:48Speaker 1: I guess, but you should have went with the undefeated teams.
- 24:52Speaker 1: Add respect to your future investment.
- 24:56Speaker 2: You know, like you, or just maybe, or you know just maybe compared the undefeated teams is what I'm looking at now.
- 25:04Speaker 1: I was like hey, why aren't we looking at Impact players?
- 25:06Speaker 2: Why aren't we looking at Washington?
- 25:08Speaker 1: Impact players in Florida State and you were talking about draft eligible players and what players can impact the game and what are the chances that it all came down to quarterbacks.
- 25:15Speaker 2: Let me Like.
- 25:17Speaker 2: I fully believe that, tate Rodamaker, you know decision to leave.
- 25:24Speaker 2: You know not with, you know that doesn't matter at all.
- 25:27Speaker 1: They're going to last month Right right, it was all based on a decision.
- 25:31Speaker 2: I don't think he would have done any worse against, say, a Texas or Michigan defense.
- 25:37Speaker 1: He wouldn't have transferred yet.
- 25:39Speaker 2: Right.
- 25:40Speaker 1: He might have after a loss and a playoff maybe Right.
- 25:43Speaker 1: If he had the chance, he wouldn't have transferred.
- 25:45Speaker 1: When he did, he would have played in the game.
- 25:48Speaker 2: The big thing was you know, they don't have their quarterback.
- 25:52Speaker 2: Yeah, what I'm saying is tonight when we saw out of Washington's quarterback performance.
- 25:58Speaker 2: Right.
- 25:59Speaker 1: Like and then what do you saw out of Michigan and I know he had JJ McCarthy played great, I mean not really.
- 26:06Speaker 1: He only had like six completions.
- 26:08Speaker 3: He made the plays when he needed to.
- 26:10Speaker 1: But doesn't mean that the guy behind him couldn't have done that.
- 26:13Speaker 2: Yeah, they dominated up front.
- 26:15Speaker 1: Yes, exactly, they were the team.
- 26:17Speaker 1: They were because of way more than JJ McCarthy.
- 26:21Speaker 2: Right, right and this whole narrative that we had to have Jordan Trapp.
- 26:25Speaker 1: And Washington tonight had chances and didn't convert them because of PNX.
- 26:33Speaker 2: Yeah, the QB play was four.
- 26:34Speaker 2: Missed the throws.
- 26:35Speaker 1: The guys were open.
- 26:36Speaker 1: I mean they were on the wrong shoulder here.
- 26:40Speaker 2: I mean.
- 26:40Speaker 1: And he was a little bit nervous.
- 26:42Speaker 2: There's some throws that he can make and there's just some throws that he can't.
- 26:45Speaker 2: That's you know, right?
- 26:47Speaker 2: I know that a bunch of people have talked about him in the first round.
- 26:51Speaker 2: I guess, man, people need quarterbacks.
- 26:54Speaker 2: Well, I don't see him.
- 26:56Speaker 2: I don't know, man.
- 27:01Speaker 1: Well, that's definitely gonna hurt him tonight.
- 27:03Speaker 2: Like, the windows only get tighter.
- 27:05Speaker 1: Right, and if the game's going to get bigger, Only moves faster.
- 27:09Speaker 2: You don't get time to set your feet and just rear back and throw it Like I don't know man.
- 27:15Speaker 1: Well, we know that Michigan's the champ.
- 27:20Speaker 2: Yeah, biggest difference was the lines.
- 27:23Speaker 2: Their offensive and defensive line just held up throughout.
- 27:26Speaker 2: That's the biggest matchup I wanted to see.
- 27:29Speaker 2: Man is our defensive line against some of these big-stout offensive lines, dude.
- 27:35Speaker 1: They broke up with the all-time D-line man.
- 27:37Speaker 2: I'm gonna say it right now they didn't wanna see any of Michigan City, Indiana Fiske, it might've been a huge.
- 27:44Speaker 2: Yeah, ooh, Dude, that's the game that's Taylor made for him.
- 27:48Speaker 2: We would've played Michigan first.
- 27:50Speaker 1: They probably would've put us on the floor to state it yeah, whatever man Right it doesn't matter.
- 27:55Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying.
- 27:56Speaker 1: You earn the benefit of the doubt, right, you lose all the games.
- 28:01Speaker 2: But I do think that everybody that's been bitching for a whole month about Alabama and maybe they just got in because they blah blah, or maybe Texas I think we need to start looking at Washington as well.
- 28:13Speaker 2: It's just like why were they automatically?
- 28:17Speaker 3: in the box.
- 28:18Speaker 2: Yeah, just because they're undefeated.
- 28:21Speaker 2: We were undefeated, we were undefeated.
- 28:23Speaker 2: They got nothing.
- 28:25Speaker 2: This more.
- 28:26Speaker 1: and more seems like the battle of the TV.
- 28:30Speaker 2: Titans.
- 28:32Speaker 1: Yeah really does Made for TV show man and they need to have rules.
- 28:37Speaker 1: They need a commissioner.
- 28:38Speaker 1: It's clear as day.
- 28:41Speaker 1: You can like or hate Roger DeVille.
- 28:43Speaker 1: There's a lot of things to hate.
- 28:45Speaker 2: Right, but it serves a purpose.
- 28:46Speaker 2: Yes, it serves a purpose.
- 28:48Speaker 2: And we are seeing what that purpose is, well, then it's over you look at the college game now with NIL Well that's the thing it's pretty much making it yeah.
- 28:57Speaker 1: When people get paid with no commissioner.
- 28:58Speaker 1: Now you have the special interest from all the leagues and all the TV deals running the show here and pretty much dictating where the money goes.
- 29:10Speaker 2: That's where there's a little bit different is the networks are dipping in and trying to one up in the NFL man, it's all one league.
- 29:20Speaker 1: Yes, by the way, yes.
- 29:21Speaker 1: Just one product you see like the playoffs, right, it's probably a war to see who gets the rights to them.
- 29:27Speaker 2: The word is consolidation.
- 29:29Speaker 2: Why not?
- 29:29Speaker 1: why not transform around Fox gets one, espn gets one, and then the title is switched around to the networks NBC Fox.
- 29:37Speaker 1: Because what?
- 29:38Speaker 1: No, we wanted to control it to get our to show.
- 29:43Speaker 1: It's the incident stars.
- 29:43Speaker 1: Ah, that was the end of the season.
- 29:46Speaker 1: Congratulations to Milk State man.
- 29:50Speaker 2: Hey, you couldn't win a Super Bowl.
- 29:51Speaker 1: Cheaters never prosper.
- 29:52Speaker 1: They just won a title, man.
- 29:55Speaker 2: Hey, cheaters won a title.
- 29:56Speaker 2: Every year it's tube season.
- 29:57Speaker 1: We'll react to that next and we'll talk to you next time.
