Sewer trouble just got a whole lot bigger on Hooker Road—after quick fixes in June, heavy rains caused a sinkhole, but thankfully no sewage spilled. Starting Monday, August 10th, Millbrook Street near Hooker will be shut down for four weeks, then Hooker Road itself will close for seven hundred feet of pipe replacement. A temporary bypass keeps sewer flow uninterrupted. Drivers: heed detours and avoid the intersection—it’ll be a hassle for a few weeks, but the city’s racing to get it back to normal.
