Today we're going to learn something very practical: ordinal numbers. Luna: Ordinal numbers? Like first, second, third? Lucas: Yes. In Danish: første, anden, tredje, fjerde, femte. Luna: Første, anden, tredje, fjerde, femte. That's a mouthful. Lucas: Let's take it one at a time. Første. First. Luna: Første. Lucas: Anden. Second. Luna: Anden. Lucas: Tredje. Third. Luna: Tredje. Lucas: Fjerde. Fourth. Luna: Fjerde. That one is tricky. Lucas: Say it slowly: fjerde. The 'j' is silent. Luna: Fjerde. Got it. Lucas: Femte. Fifth. Luna: Femte. That's easier. Lucas: Now let's put them in sentences. For example: 'Jeg er den første.' I am the first. Luna: Jeg er den første. Lucas: Han er den anden. He is the second. Luna: Han er den anden. Lucas: Hun er den tredje. She is the third. Luna: Hun er den tredje. Lucas: Vi er de fjerde. We are the fourth. Luna: Vi er de fjerde. Wait, 'de' not 'den'? Lucas: Yes, because it's plural.
