- 0:00Speaker 1: Career high forty seven forty one percent from three fourteen
- 0:04Speaker 1: points a game. And Peyton Pritchard is ready to join
- 0:07Speaker 1: us here on this night in which he is named
- 0:10Speaker 1: the sixth Man of the Year twelve. Those congratulate you,
- 0:13Speaker 1: We congratulate you. Uh here's my question, it's uh, you
- 0:18Speaker 1: know you're gonna have this John Havlachik Trophy, this Celtic
- 0:21Speaker 1: legend as a Boston Celtic. What does that mean to you?
- 0:27Speaker 2: I mean, it's just a lot of people in the
- 0:29Speaker 2: Celtics organization, obviously John havchech being named after Kevin McHale,
- 0:37Speaker 2: obviously a couple other guys, Malcolm Brogden.
- 0:39Speaker 3: When I was here with him, I Washington win is.
- 0:40Speaker 1: So yeah, Billaton, yeah.
- 0:43Speaker 3: Bill Waldon, Yeah, So yeah, this is definitely an honor
- 0:47Speaker 3: Peyton Shack here, you played with a lot of superstars.
- 0:50Speaker 4: How do you know when to look for the guys
- 0:52Speaker 4: or say, you know what, I need to go ahead
- 0:54Speaker 4: and take this shot myself to get myself in game.
- 0:57Speaker 3: So it was definitely tough. It's a learning curve. Come
- 1:00Speaker 3: from college, everything's ran through me.
- 1:01Speaker 2: So then you know, coming here, I got playing with
- 1:04Speaker 2: a lot of stars like you said, So, it's definitely
- 1:07Speaker 2: a feel. I feel like I'm I still am getting
- 1:09Speaker 2: better at it, But it's just reading the game knowing
- 1:12Speaker 2: when you know, maybe the defense is keen in on JT.
- 1:15Speaker 3: JB.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Moore and they kind of leaving gaps open, then you
- 1:18Speaker 2: got to take advantage of those opportunities. And then you know,
- 1:21Speaker 2: once they loosen it up, then you give it back
- 1:23Speaker 2: to them and let them rock again, and you know,
- 1:25Speaker 2: just kind of a field.
- 1:27Speaker 4: You know, paid number one. Congratulations, But I said that
- 1:30Speaker 4: a few minutes ago. Man, you you're letting it go.
- 1:32Speaker 4: Who on the coaching staff is it coach Missoula or
- 1:35Speaker 4: any other coach of yo? Man, don't hesitate, don't worry
- 1:38Speaker 4: about the two stars y'all got, don't worry about the
- 1:42Speaker 4: big fella, don't worry about Derick White, don't worry about Drew.
- 1:45Speaker 4: If you open, let it go. Who's on the coaching
- 1:47Speaker 4: staff empowered you to let that happens?
- 1:50Speaker 3: Well, obviously Joe kind of empowers everybody.
- 1:52Speaker 2: But I'd have to give credit to my player development
- 1:54Speaker 2: coach Craig before the season started, like he made an
- 1:59Speaker 2: emphasis like he just knew that the shooter I was
- 2:02Speaker 2: capable of being, and so he had an emphasis on, like,
- 2:04Speaker 2: you know, every time I got an opening, I gotta
- 2:06Speaker 2: let it fly. I gotta have this mindset that like
- 2:08Speaker 2: I'm the best shooter in the world, and so I've
- 2:10Speaker 2: tried to carry that throughout the season, you know, even
- 2:13Speaker 2: through games that I might be struggling shooting, just having
- 2:16Speaker 2: that mindset like the next one always going in and
- 2:19Speaker 2: it's always going to be a good look.
- 2:21Speaker 5: You know what, Peyton. You know, we talk about your
- 2:23Speaker 5: player development. You know, it's well documented what you doing
- 2:27Speaker 5: in summertime, which is a little unique than a lot
- 2:29Speaker 5: of guys dribbling around cones. Can you explain that how
- 2:33Speaker 5: this is helped prepare you for the NBA season.
- 2:36Speaker 2: So it's it So it's really I have somebody guarding
- 2:40Speaker 2: me instead of like playing one on one where you
- 2:42Speaker 2: can just go anywhere on the court, because that's not realistic.
- 2:45Speaker 2: In a game, I set up cones that's like, you know,
- 2:48Speaker 2: it's like an out of bounds, so I can I
- 2:50Speaker 2: have to hit the gaps.
- 2:51Speaker 3: So that's really what it is.
- 2:53Speaker 2: It's it's learning how to play in small spaces, learning
- 2:56Speaker 2: how to cut defenders off. And then I feel like
- 2:59Speaker 2: that helps you know what I'm getting into the paint
- 3:01Speaker 2: using my bumps and uh finishes and footwork and stuff
- 3:04Speaker 2: like that.
- 3:06Speaker 1: Last thing from us before we let you go, Peyton. Look,
- 3:09Speaker 1: I know there are probably a lot of folks who
- 3:11Speaker 1: are planning weddings in the coming weeks and months. Would
- 3:16Speaker 1: you recommend Blake Griffin as an officiant at a wedding.
- 3:22Speaker 3: A set? I definitely would. He was, he was alleged.
- 3:25Speaker 2: He definitely ragged on me a little bit, but he
- 3:27Speaker 2: got the people laughing and got them enjoying the moment,
- 3:30Speaker 2: so he was.
- 3:31Speaker 3: It was definitely a hit.
- 3:32Speaker 6: Wait, Blake Griffin married him, Yeah, married him and Emma Hey,
- 3:41Speaker 6: congratulations on the.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Congratulations on the award, It's so richly deserved. And congratulations
- 3:49Speaker 1: continued success in the on your playoff running. Thanks a
- 3:52Speaker 1: bunch of Bayton Appreciate you.
- 3:54Speaker 3: Appreciate you man, Thank you.
- 3:55Speaker 4: You got it paperwork since and you know, you know,
- 4:00Speaker 4: it was really cool about that situation, like he built
- 4:04Speaker 4: his game, like he made himself a hell of a player.
- 4:10Speaker 4: Like you know, a lot of guys come in, they
- 4:11Speaker 4: got all the hype and everything, but that kid made
- 4:14Speaker 4: itself a terrific NBA player, You happen to see guys
- 4:18Speaker 4: wining awards like that,
