- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listening to Bill Handle on demand from KFI AM
- 0:04Speaker 1: six forty AM six forty Bill Handle.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Here it is a taco Tuesday, November eighteenth rain. Yeah,
- 0:16Speaker 2: pretty much this week some of the big stories we're
- 0:18Speaker 2: looking at. The House is set to vote today on
- 0:21Speaker 2: that bill seeking to force the release of the Jeffrey
- 0:24Speaker 2: Epstein case files. It's going to go. The President went
- 0:28Speaker 2: one to eighty on that one because obviously the political
- 0:31Speaker 2: pressure was way way too much that overcame his reluctance
- 0:38Speaker 2: to release the files. Now he wants to release the files,
- 0:41Speaker 2: but he wants to vote even though he can make
- 0:43Speaker 2: a phone call, and the files were released immediately. Very
- 0:46Speaker 2: complicated stuff, all right, Moving to what happened yesterday. If
- 0:50Speaker 2: we go back thirty years and for those of us
- 0:54Speaker 2: that were around thirty years ago and knew about the news,
- 0:57Speaker 2: the oj Simpson case the trial of the century nine
- 1:02Speaker 2: months and it was covered literally wall to wall by
- 1:08Speaker 2: I think CNN was covering it, and it was just
- 1:11Speaker 2: completely insane in terms of its news. And Oja was acquitted,
- 1:19Speaker 2: which really interesting. The majority of white people said he
- 1:22Speaker 2: was guilty, the majority of black people said he wasn't.
- 1:26Speaker 1: VOI did that go down racial lines.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Anyway, he was acquitted of the crime and then he
- 1:33Speaker 2: was sued by the Goldman family.
- 1:34Speaker 1: If you remember, that was not Ron.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Ron is the father, I think right, Oh my god,
- 1:42Speaker 2: did I just forget the kid's name?
- 1:43Speaker 1: Now Fred is the father.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Ron was the kid who was killed as well as
- 1:47Speaker 2: Nicole Brown at the doorstep of her condo. In any case,
- 1:53Speaker 2: there was a civil lawsuit and he was found guilty.
- 1:57Speaker 2: That's OJ was found liable, not guilty, a thirty three
- 2:00Speaker 2: million dollar hit. The Goldman family got that kind of
- 2:03Speaker 2: an award, which JOJ never paid. I mean, there was
- 2:06Speaker 2: some memorabilia that was sold off and maybe three hundred
- 2:10Speaker 2: thousand dollars that was paid out of a thirty three
- 2:13Speaker 2: million dollar award. So the fight has continued on, the
- 2:18Speaker 2: judgment has been still there, and finally the OJ Simpson
- 2:23Speaker 2: estate has agreed to pay fifty eight million dollars. That's
- 2:26Speaker 2: thirty three million plus interest to the Goldman family. And
- 2:31Speaker 2: everybody's jumping up and down, isn't that wonderful? Well, the
- 2:34Speaker 2: reality there's not going to be any money. The Simpson estate,
- 2:38Speaker 2: according to the state lawyer, has more debts than it
- 2:41Speaker 2: has assets. And even if you look at all the assets,
- 2:45Speaker 2: it's six hundred thousand dollars maybe, and so there's not
- 2:49Speaker 2: going to be much money there. It's a pyrrhic victory.
- 2:52Speaker 2: But they didn't give up. The Goldmans did not give up.
- 2:56Speaker 2: They have kept going to them. It is a moral issue.
- 3:00Speaker 2: They want some kind of judgment or justice, and so
- 3:07Speaker 2: the judge overseeing the case. This is back two thousand
- 3:10Speaker 2: and eight in this where he was found guilty. By
- 3:14Speaker 2: the way, he was charged in Nevada with kidnapping, arm
- 3:19Speaker 2: robbery and other charges because he wanted to collect memorabilia
- 3:25Speaker 2: that he said was stolen from him. So he went
- 3:27Speaker 2: after the purported bad guys who probably did it, and
- 3:31Speaker 2: he came in with a gun and got nailed for that,
- 3:34Speaker 2: and he did nine years in prison for that. Now
- 3:37Speaker 2: you would think that his income right. You've heard, for example,
- 3:41Speaker 2: of the irs garnishing wages and if I get a
- 3:45Speaker 2: judgment against you, I can garnish wages.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Not Nevada.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Those are protector At least pensions are protected, and holmes
- 3:53Speaker 2: are protected, and cars are protected.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Here. If you have a car.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Worth one hundred thousand dollars and I have a judgment,
- 3:59Speaker 2: I can rabbit, not in Florida where he lives. So
- 4:04Speaker 2: you can have a million dollar Maserati, you can have
- 4:08Speaker 2: a twenty five million dollar home and it can't be
- 4:12Speaker 2: touched with a judgment. So here we are, thirty three
- 4:17Speaker 2: years later and some sense of justice. Now a quick story,
- 4:23Speaker 2: and this is why OJ was still alive. I remember
- 4:27Speaker 2: going to some event I don't know, I don't remember
- 4:29Speaker 2: exactly where or exactly when.
- 4:31Speaker 1: But the part that I remember vividly was OJ was there.
- 4:38Speaker 2: And the people lining up to get his autograph and
- 4:43Speaker 2: owing and aweing, and OJ were just sign this please.
- 4:47Speaker 1: He was a hero. It was this. It was if
- 4:52Speaker 1: he was a major star, still with no blemish at all.
- 4:56Speaker 2: And I'm looking at this and these are young women
- 4:59Speaker 2: in their and thirties, both black and white, and I'm
- 5:04Speaker 2: thinking this guy committed to murders. In my mind there
- 5:10Speaker 2: was there's absolutely no issue. By the way, I was one.
- 5:13Speaker 2: I think I was on CBS at the time. I
- 5:16Speaker 2: was a commentator on CBS every day until they kicked
- 5:19Speaker 2: me off because they didn't like what I was saying.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Yeah so much. Yeah, I get kicked off a lot
- 5:26Speaker 2: of panels. No surprise there, all right. The good news
- 5:31Speaker 2: in the world of the Kamas Israel war. A US
- 5:36Speaker 2: drafted UN resolution endorsing the President's got as a peace
- 5:39Speaker 2: plan passed in the Security Council overwhelmingly. It passed and
- 5:45Speaker 2: unanimously except for China and Russia who just they abstained
- 5:50Speaker 2: from the vote, and it provides a legal mandate for
- 5:53Speaker 2: key parts of the plan of the President's plan, including
- 5:57Speaker 2: persuading other countries to provide troops for an international security force.
- 6:03Speaker 1: It's pretty good news.
- 6:05Speaker 2: Several countries have voted in favor, still sought commitments that
- 6:09Speaker 2: would they be watching carefully to see the progress because
- 6:12Speaker 2: they're being asked to advance the cause or advance the plan,
- 6:20Speaker 2: and asked to provide troops for the international force now
- 6:26Speaker 2: turning in their weapons as the peace planned demands. Hamas
- 6:32Speaker 2: said that must remain an internal national matter. In other words,
- 6:36Speaker 2: they will decide whether to give up their weapons, which
- 6:40Speaker 2: of course Camas is going to say no to. The
- 6:43Speaker 2: plan also calls for the eventual establishment of a Palestinian state. Nettagna,
- 6:50Speaker 2: who says that will never happen. There will be no
- 6:54Speaker 2: Israeli or there will be no Palestinian state.
- 6:57Speaker 1: So it's a problem.
- 7:00Speaker 2: So while the peace plan is it's great news, and
- 7:04Speaker 2: it was done under because of the pressure of Donald Trump.
- 7:08Speaker 1: There's no issue about that.
- 7:10Speaker 2: And so this international Peace Organization, which by the way,
- 7:15Speaker 2: will be headed by President Trump and the members will
- 7:20Speaker 2: be selected by President Trump. It truly is a Trump plan,
- 7:26Speaker 2: and initial elements of the plan.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Actually it's already a ceasefire.
- 7:30Speaker 2: The hostages, the Israeli hostages held by Hamas.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Have been received released.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Expansion of humanitarian aid to Gaza is happening, at least partially.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Now.
- 7:42Speaker 2: There's a story in the La Times that I read
- 7:44Speaker 2: this morning that famine is now part of what's going
- 7:49Speaker 2: on in Gaza.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Israel says that's an utter lie.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Israel says that there is unbridled, total allowance of humanitarian aid.
- 8:04Speaker 2: They're not getting in the way of humanitarian aid whatsoever.
- 8:08Speaker 1: That is a crock.
- 8:10Speaker 2: And I'll say about schooling, you know, one of the
- 8:12Speaker 2: things we don't talk about very much. We talk about
- 8:14Speaker 2: humanitarian aid not going there. There are kids, most of
- 8:17Speaker 2: the kids in guys that have not been in school
- 8:19Speaker 2: for two years. There's been no education and there are
- 8:25Speaker 2: no schoolrooms left. Now we're talking about medicines being brought
- 8:30Speaker 2: in and food being brought in. How about school supplies?
- 8:34Speaker 2: Those aren't being brought in? And where do the kids
- 8:36Speaker 2: go to school? Most of the kids are not in school,
- 8:41Speaker 2: they don't have the facilities. I mean you talk about
- 8:44Speaker 2: a generation. I mean this is it will literally take
- 8:48Speaker 2: Gaza a generation or more to come back to normal.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Israel is not helping. They're getting in the way of it.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Israel has committed war crime in my opinion, there's no
- 9:01Speaker 2: question about it. Of course, the war in Gaza started.
- 9:05Speaker 2: You know, is anybody at Hamas in the organization said hey,
- 9:09Speaker 2: maybe we shouldn't have done this attack. You think we
- 9:12Speaker 2: guessed wrong on this one. You think that maybe the
- 9:16Speaker 2: people of Gaza would suffer, that they have any doubts
- 9:19Speaker 2: what Israel would do. And the thinking was that once
- 9:24Speaker 2: the terrorist attack happened, the Arab world would then just
- 9:30Speaker 2: start up its attack on Israel. The entire Arab world
- 9:34Speaker 2: would join for forces to destroy Israel. What were they thinking?
- 9:39Speaker 2: I mean, what planet were these people on. The problem
- 9:43Speaker 2: is is that now it's a question of bringing back
- 9:47Speaker 2: Gaza to some sense of statehood. Israel is not helping
- 9:52Speaker 2: at all. And the two major parts of the peace
- 9:56Speaker 2: plan that is Hamas, the Hamas not having any more weapons,
- 10:02Speaker 2: giving up their weapons, no longer becoming a military force,
- 10:08Speaker 2: and the Palestinian state Hamas says it will decide about
- 10:13Speaker 2: the weapons, which means it'll never give up the weapons.
- 10:16Speaker 2: And the Palestinian state will never happen as long as
- 10:20Speaker 2: Nettaignahu in a right wing government are in place. So
- 10:23Speaker 2: two points of that Peeps plan are not in good
- 10:27Speaker 2: shape and may never happen. But for the most part,
- 10:31Speaker 2: at least the world is on the same page. The
- 10:34Speaker 2: UN Security Council and I think most of the world
- 10:38Speaker 2: believes that a Palestinian state. I do, and let me
- 10:42Speaker 2: tell you, I'm not particularly pro Hamas, if you've noticed
- 10:46Speaker 2: over the last couple of years, but I think the
- 10:50Speaker 2: Palestinians deserve a state. The problem is there a lot
- 10:53Speaker 2: of Palestinians. They think that their state is in is
- 10:56Speaker 2: part of Israel, that Israel should cease to exist. That's
- 11:00Speaker 2: a little problematic too, because you think that's going to happen.
- 11:05Speaker 2: There were still a ways away from a peace plan
- 11:09Speaker 2: that actually is going to expand into a real peace plan.
- 11:14Speaker 2: All right, all right, we go back to nineteen ninety
- 11:18Speaker 2: two and nineteen ninety two through nineteen ninety six, and
- 11:25Speaker 2: the war between Croatia and Serbia was going full blast.
- 11:32Speaker 2: It was a civil war, and astounding criminality had occurred,
- 11:38Speaker 2: I mean straight war crimes where eleven thousand people were killed,
- 11:44Speaker 2: many many civilians, and it was the Bosnian Serb that
- 11:49Speaker 2: committed The Serbs committed these atrocities, even to the point
- 11:52Speaker 2: where the head of the army was tried for crimes
- 11:57Speaker 2: against humanity and was given twenty.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Years in prison. Here's what's come out of this.
- 12:04Speaker 2: Italy's Public Prosecutor's office has just opened up an investigation
- 12:08Speaker 2: into claims that Italians traveled on weekends sniper safaris to
- 12:16Speaker 2: Sarajevo to shoot at citizens during the Serb army siege
- 12:22Speaker 2: on the city that killed more than eleven thousand people.
- 12:25Speaker 1: Now, wait a minute, hold on. We know.
- 12:29Speaker 2: That the Bosnian Serbs were targeting civilians.
- 12:34Speaker 1: If you remember stories.
- 12:35Speaker 2: Of kids crossing streets to go to school were targeted
- 12:41Speaker 2: and killed in droves. It was virtually the entire country
- 12:46Speaker 2: was a killing zone. It was completely insane, and we
- 12:52Speaker 2: all know what was happening. Of course, was it Radovich
- 12:56Speaker 2: who said, oh no, that's not happening. And Or Carriagi said,
- 13:03Speaker 2: denied it, that was not happening. He was the one
- 13:05Speaker 2: that was convicted. And there were stories that were confirmed
- 13:09Speaker 2: of thousands of men lined up and slaughtered, much like
- 13:14Speaker 2: what happened during World War Two with the Jews. Literally
- 13:18Speaker 2: thousands and open pits that were slaughtered. And this story
- 13:24Speaker 2: is amazing, just incredible. During nineteen ninety two through nineteen
- 13:29Speaker 2: ninety six, the Bosnian Serb army was attacking the Croatian population.
- 13:37Speaker 2: Eleven thousand people had died, and in Sarajevo there was
- 13:44Speaker 2: a place called Sniper Alley where snipers would be in
- 13:48Speaker 2: the buildings and shoot at anybody, civilians, kids.
- 13:53Speaker 1: And now the prosecutor's office.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Is opening this investigation because Italians are being accused of
- 14:01Speaker 2: traveling on weekends to the sniper safaris to shoot at
- 14:07Speaker 2: citizens during the siege on the city. I mean, that's
- 14:13Speaker 2: completely crazy. I mean the allegations came after a journalist
- 14:18Speaker 2: and a novelist with a couple of lawyers who looked
- 14:21Speaker 2: into this, filed the legal complaint of murder aggravated by
- 14:25Speaker 2: cruelty and despicable motives against these Italians traveling on the
- 14:31Speaker 2: sniper safaris.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Wow.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Evidence was turned over, and the investigator who's there said,
- 14:40Speaker 2: because we're talking about wealthy people with reputations, entrepreneurs who
- 14:45Speaker 2: during the siege paid to be able to kill defenseless civilians.
- 14:50Speaker 2: I mean, you know how upset do we get when
- 14:54Speaker 2: Safaris go out and kill animals in Africa and the
- 14:59Speaker 2: amount of money that was paid. Can you imagine paying
- 15:03Speaker 2: to kill people? There were even price lists. According to
- 15:09Speaker 2: La Republica, which is a very well regarded newspaper, the
- 15:14Speaker 2: safari tourists paid up to one hundred thousand dollars adjusted
- 15:19Speaker 2: for inflation to join these trips. And these price lists
- 15:26Speaker 2: actually included the type of kill that foreigners would pay,
- 15:30Speaker 2: children costing the most, Men, women and elderly could be
- 15:37Speaker 2: killed free of charge. I mean, that's almost unbelievable. It's
- 15:45Speaker 2: the inhumanity, the depravity.
- 15:47Speaker 1: I mean, this reminds us of the Holocaust.
- 15:51Speaker 2: It's a seventeen page filing, including the testimony of a
- 15:55Speaker 2: Bosnian military intelligence officer who said that he and colleagues
- 16:00Speaker 2: informed elderly about this. That Italians would fly from tries
- 16:06Speaker 2: to Sarajevo to take part in early nineteen ninety four,
- 16:12Speaker 2: and the Italian Intelligence Service didn't do a damn thing
- 16:15Speaker 2: about it. Serbia has of course denied any involvement, but
- 16:20Speaker 2: investigators are aware that, of course Italy was involved or
- 16:26Speaker 2: certainly allowed it to happen or knew it was happening.
- 16:30Speaker 2: And there are photos of this Sniper Alley photo project,
- 16:35Speaker 2: and we saw what was going on, We saw newsreels
- 16:39Speaker 2: of this, and it's believed citizens of multiple countries took part.
- 16:45Speaker 2: I mean, it is It's almost impossible to believe it. Now.
- 16:50Speaker 2: These were gun nuts who did this, obviously depraved. I
- 16:56Speaker 2: may even call them human beings, because human beings don't
- 17:00Speaker 2: do this. I mean, human beings don't go go out
- 17:03Speaker 2: and shoot animals on safaris in Africa anymore.
- 17:09Speaker 1: I mean, can you believe this? If this is true?
- 17:11Speaker 2: And it looks like there's tons of evidence, I mean
- 17:15Speaker 2: tons that are there. And my dad was Yugoslav He
- 17:21Speaker 2: was part of Croatia during the war and the atrocities
- 17:26Speaker 2: that happened there, but that were the Nazis that were
- 17:28Speaker 2: coming in that when after Serbs, Serbs are Muslim and
- 17:34Speaker 2: the Croatians are Catholic. And Bill Clinton, by the way,
- 17:39Speaker 2: when he attacked Serbia straight out attacked Serbia for no
- 17:43Speaker 2: other reason than to save serbs. It's one of the
- 17:48Speaker 2: defining moments of his presidency in which it was a
- 17:52Speaker 2: straight humanitarian decision, no politics were involved. I mean, this
- 17:57Speaker 2: is really crazy. This is is KFI AM sixty.
