Dr. Michael Freeman Challenges the Forensic Record in Jeffrey Epstein’s Death (10/5/26) · The Vault: The Epstein Files

Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:03
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. I don't think that it's any surprise to
• 0:06
Speaker 1: anybody out there that there's still questions about what happened
• 0:10
Speaker 1: to Jeffrey Epstein at MCC. Now, the only people that
• 0:15
Speaker 1: have come forward to tell us that Jeffrey Epstein killed
• 0:19
Speaker 1: himself are the people that worked for the medical examiner's
• 0:23
Speaker 1: office at the time. Well, their findings have been disputed
• 0:27
Speaker 1: by multiple experts, including... Dr. Bodden. Well, it's not only Dr.
• 0:33
Speaker 1: Bodden who thinks that Jeffrey Epstein was killed, because now
• 0:38
Speaker 1: Michael Freeman, who is a professor and editor-in-chief of the
• 0:43
Speaker 1: Journal of Forensic and Legal Medicine, plans on publishing the
• 0:46
Speaker 1: research that he's been doing after receiving the autopsy report
• 0:50
Speaker 1: and medical files from Mark Epstein. And frankly, this is
• 0:54
Speaker 1: what I've been asking for from the beginning. or real investigation.
• 0:58
Speaker 1: An independent investigation into the findings of the medical examiner
• 1:02
Speaker 1: and the people that were involved in claiming that Epstein
• 1:06
Speaker 1: killed himself. And then we can take what they have
• 1:08
Speaker 1: to say and compare it to the official narrative and
• 1:11
Speaker 1: see what's what. And wherever the evidence leads us, that's
• 1:16
Speaker 1: where I'm willing to go. I'm not bought into one
• 1:20
Speaker 1: theory or the other. I just think that him killing
• 1:22
Speaker 1: himself or him being talked into killing himself is a
• 1:26
Speaker 1: much more likely theory than Jeffrey Epstein taking his own life.
• 1:31
Speaker 1: And that comes from talking to many people who have
• 1:34
Speaker 1: known him throughout the years. And they've all said the
• 1:36
Speaker 1: same thing to me when I've talked to them. There
• 1:40
Speaker 1: is no way in hell that Jeffrey Epstein, Mr. Narcissism himself,
• 1:44
Speaker 1: who thought he was going to get off again, by
• 1:46
Speaker 1: the way, killed himself. And of course, that's not the
• 1:49
Speaker 1: be-all end-all, right? But it's part of the circumstantial evidence
• 1:54
Speaker 1: that leads me away from the official narrative. So I
• 1:56
Speaker 1: think that it's going to be very interesting to see
• 1:59
Speaker 1: what Mr. Freeman has to say. And when he releases
• 2:02
Speaker 1: his report, we're going to go through it line by line.
• 2:05
Speaker 1: And I've actually been in contact with a medical examiner myself.
• 2:08
Speaker 1: And once the report's released, that person is going to
• 2:11
Speaker 1: walk me through it before I get on here and
• 2:13
Speaker 1: start talking to you about it. That way I kind
• 2:16
Speaker 1: of have an idea, right? I'm certainly not some medical professional.
• 2:20
Speaker 1: So I like to have all my ducks in a
• 2:22
Speaker 1: row before I jump on the podcast and start waxing poetic.
• 2:25
Speaker 1: But I don't think you have to be Dr. Bodden
• 2:27
Speaker 1: or Dr. Freeman to understand that there is something very,
• 2:31
Speaker 1: very wrong with the narrative that we've been fed about
• 2:34
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein's death. So today we have an article from
• 2:38
Speaker 1: CBS News and the headline, Professor to Present Epstein Findings
• 2:42
Speaker 1: That Raise Questions About Whether He Killed Himself. This article
• 2:46
Speaker 1: was authored by Daniel Rutnick and Graham Cates. A professor
• 2:51
Speaker 1: for forensic medicine who reviewed Jeffrey Epstein's autopsy records, plans
• 2:55
Speaker 1: to present findings that call into question the official conclusion
• 2:58
Speaker 1: that the disgraced sex abuser's death by hanging was a suicide,
• 3:02
Speaker 1: according to Epstein's brother. They looked at this whole thing.
• 3:06
Speaker 1: They looked at it scientifically. They truly investigated this, Mark
• 3:10
Speaker 1: Epstein told CBS News on Friday. Well, that would be
• 3:13
Speaker 1: nice if the government did that, huh? They were quick
• 3:16
Speaker 1: to try and get this shit closed, and it all
• 3:19
Speaker 1: dovetails directly into my theory about controlling the blast radius
• 3:23
Speaker 1: of this fiasco. That's always been the goal. It's never
• 3:27
Speaker 1: been about justice, and it's never been about transparency. And
• 3:30
Speaker 1: the only reason that we're seeing that now, or at
• 3:33
Speaker 1: least a semblance of it, is because you've demanded it.
• 3:37
Speaker 1: But short of that, we were never going to get
• 3:39
Speaker 1: any of this. Michael Freeman, a professor who was editor-in-chief
• 3:43
Speaker 1: of the Journal of Forensic and Legal Medicine, plans to
• 3:46
Speaker 1: publish his research and the New York City Medical Examiner's
• 3:50
Speaker 1: autopsy files, which he obtained from Mark Epstein. after presenting
• 3:54
Speaker 1: his findings at the University College London on November 16th.
• 3:58
Speaker 1: So I haven't been privy to his research, so I
• 4:00
Speaker 1: don't want to jump the gun. But from what we
• 4:03
Speaker 1: already know, and what we've already uncovered, it doesn't seem
• 4:07
Speaker 1: very likely to me that Jeffrey Epstein hung himself. And
• 4:12
Speaker 1: I think that's really reflected when you read the depositions
• 4:16
Speaker 1: that were given to the OIG by the people that
• 4:19
Speaker 1: were working at the facility that night. None of it
• 4:22
Speaker 1: matches up. They're all trying to hide things. None of
• 4:25
Speaker 1: them want to tell the truth. And of course, there
• 4:28
Speaker 1: was no penalties for anybody. Oh, Tova Noel and Michael Thomas.
• 4:33
Speaker 1: Little suspended sentence. But did anyone really get in trouble?
• 4:37
Speaker 1: Has anything been fixed? Of course it hasn't. Mark Epstein
• 4:42
Speaker 1: told CBS News on Friday that Freeman's analysis bolstered his
• 4:46
Speaker 1: belief that his brother's death required a deeper investigation. The
• 4:51
Speaker 1: cause on Jeffrey Epstein's original death certificate They further studied
• 4:54
Speaker 1: it in detail. This kind of study hasn't been done before,
• 4:57
Speaker 1: Mark Epstein said. If this kind of study had been
• 5:00
Speaker 1: done before, they wouldn't have come up with the suicide conclusion.
• 5:04
Speaker 1: This report was not done on my behalf. They did
• 5:07
Speaker 1: this of their own volition. So according to Mark Epstein,
• 5:11
Speaker 1: that means there's no financial incentive as far as coming
• 5:14
Speaker 1: from Mark Epstein. This is a project that Mr. Freeman
• 5:18
Speaker 1: decided that he wanted to undertake. And according to him,
• 5:23
Speaker 1: His results don't match up with the official narrative. And
• 5:27
Speaker 1: to all the people that really aren't paying attention, this
• 5:30
Speaker 1: is what a cover-up looks like, okay? There's no Egyptian airplanes.
• 5:35
Speaker 1: There's no Sasquatch. What we have is hard evidence and
• 5:38
Speaker 1: circumstantial evidence that builds a foundation. And then you work
• 5:42
Speaker 1: from there. And I think that there is a strong
• 5:44
Speaker 1: foundation to build upon. Whether this report does that or not,
• 5:48
Speaker 1: we'll have to wait and see. Freeman's review highlights several
• 5:52
Speaker 1: details that make Epstein's death investigation unique for a suicide case,
• 5:56
Speaker 1: including that there were no photographs of Epstein's body at
• 5:59
Speaker 1: the scene of his death and the ligature used wasn't
• 6:02
Speaker 1: preserved or examined. Ligature refers to the rope or other
• 6:07
Speaker 1: material used to choke or bind the person. In Epstein's case,
• 6:10
Speaker 1: according to investigators, bedsheets were used and still not explained.
• 6:15
Speaker 1: How did he get all the bedsheets? The dude's in
• 6:17
Speaker 1: the shoe. He shouldn't be getting all these bedsheets. So
• 6:20
Speaker 1: who gave him those? Was it Tova Noel? Was it
• 6:22
Speaker 1: Michael Thomas? Was it Mr. Darden? And there's so many
• 6:27
Speaker 1: people that were there that day, that night, so many
• 6:29
Speaker 1: people that were involved in the lead up that we've
• 6:32
Speaker 1: never heard from. And I was hoping that we'd get
• 6:35
Speaker 1: that fixed with the congressional testimony, but we only heard
• 6:38
Speaker 1: from Tova Noel. What about Michael Thomas? What about the
• 6:42
Speaker 1: associate warden? What about the engineer? What about everybody else
• 6:47
Speaker 1: that was there? I guess you'd only talk to them
• 6:51
Speaker 1: if you were doing a real investigation. Freeman performed a
• 6:55
Speaker 1: biomechanical analysis of the ligature pattern and reviewed what he
• 6:59
Speaker 1: described to CBS News as images that show injuries unaccounted
• 7:03
Speaker 1: for by the medical examiner. For now, he's declined to
• 7:07
Speaker 1: describe his conclusions. The Times, a British newspaper, first reported
• 7:11
Speaker 1: on Freeman's planned presentation. The death can only be a
• 7:15
Speaker 1: suicide or a homicide, and the lecture will describe the
• 7:17
Speaker 1: weight of evidence for both explanations, said Freeman, a professor
• 7:22
Speaker 1: at the Oregon Health and Science University School of Medicine
• 7:25
Speaker 1: and the Netherlands Maastricht University Medical Center. Freeman's previous work
• 7:30
Speaker 1: includes advising an audit of Maryland's medical examiner's office. So
• 7:36
Speaker 1: obviously somebody that's qualified to do this study, somebody that,
• 7:40
Speaker 1: you know, knows what they're talking about, and I think
• 7:43
Speaker 1: it's going to be very interesting to see what he
• 7:44
Speaker 1: has to say. Freeman's review comes as the Federal Epstein
• 7:49
Speaker 1: Files Transparency Act has fed a worldwide fascination with Epstein
• 7:53
Speaker 1: and his circle of elite, wealthy power players who socialized
• 7:56
Speaker 1: with him even as he became notorious for allegations of
• 8:00
Speaker 1: sexual abuse. Epstein died in jail in 2019 while facing
• 8:05
Speaker 1: federal charges for sex trafficking of minors. The act passed
• 8:09
Speaker 1: in 2025 and required the Department of Justice to release
• 8:13
Speaker 1: its voluminous investigative records into Epstein and those in his orbit. Boy,
• 8:19
Speaker 1: they did a real good job at that, huh? How
• 8:20
Speaker 1: about we just release half of them and we call
• 8:22
Speaker 1: it a day? In May, a U.S. District Judge ordered
• 8:27
Speaker 1: the release of an apparent suicide note from an incident
• 8:30
Speaker 1: less than a month before Epstein's death. The note had
• 8:33
Speaker 1: been filed and sealed in May 2021 as part of
• 8:36
Speaker 1: a murder case involving Epstein's former cellmate, Nicholas Tartaglione. It
• 8:41
Speaker 1: was released in response to a filing by the New
• 8:44
Speaker 1: York Times. If anyone believes what this dude's saying, then
• 8:49
Speaker 1: I'm sorry, but you're stupid, okay? You're going to believe
• 8:52
Speaker 1: Nicholas Tartaglione, who I believe was put there to pass
• 8:55
Speaker 1: a message on, to Epstein. And I'll say that until
• 8:58
Speaker 1: the cows come home. Prove me wrong. But before you
• 9:01
Speaker 1: do that, first you need to explain what he was
• 9:04
Speaker 1: even doing in the cell with Epstein in the motherfucking
• 9:07
Speaker 1: first place. Okay, let's start there. Tartaglione, a former police
• 9:12
Speaker 1: officer convicted of killing four people, claimed in a podcast
• 9:15
Speaker 1: interview that he'd found the note, in a book, the
• 9:18
Speaker 1: morning after Epstein's death, and he gave it to his lawyers.
• 9:22
Speaker 1: And the reporter who reported this is like in love
• 9:24
Speaker 1: with Nicholas Tartaglione. Yeah, there's no conflict of interest here, right?
• 9:31
Speaker 1: The scrawled note appears to read, They investigated me for
• 9:33
Speaker 1: a month, found nothing, so 15-year-old charges resulted. The note
• 9:37
Speaker 1: also includes the phrases, time to say goodbye, and no fun.
• 9:41
  Speaker 1: Not worth it. I don't believe it, okay? I don't
• 9:44
Speaker 1: believe that note was written by Epstein, and I don't
• 9:46
Speaker 1: believe the whole entire scenario they're trying to pitch. So
• 9:50
Speaker 1: if they want to continue to pitch that, and people
• 9:52
Speaker 1: want to believe it, that's on you. As I've told
• 9:55
Speaker 1: you a million times on this podcast, I'm not here
• 9:57
Speaker 1: to convince anybody of anything. Instead, I'm here to convince you.
• 10:00
Speaker 1: here to open the door. And if you want to
• 10:01
Speaker 1: walk through it and learn some more, that's great. If not,
• 10:05
  Speaker 1: that's cool too. But I don't believe for a minute
• 10:08
Speaker 1: that Nicholas Tartaglione found a suicide note in that jail cell. Sorry,
• 10:13
Speaker 1: I don't buy it. And speaking of things that I
• 10:16
Speaker 1: don't buy, I don't buy the official narrative surrounding Jeffrey
• 10:19
Speaker 1: Epstein's death either. So we'll see what Mr. Freeman and
• 10:23
Speaker 1: his report have to say on November 16th. And the
• 10:26
Speaker 1: second we get our hands on it, you better believe
• 10:29
Speaker 1: we'll have it added to the catalog. All the information
• 10:32
Speaker 1: that goes with this episode can be found in the
• 10:35
  Speaker 1: description box.
