- 0:20Speaker 2: Chuck Schumer, I think he's a terror victim. I mean,
- 0:28Speaker 2: I'm not going to say he's like those poor Israelis
- 0:34Speaker 2: in October of last year, but I think there's all
- 0:40Speaker 2: signs that Chuck Schumer, the Senate Democratic leader, is a
- 0:47Speaker 2: victim of terrorism. I'll explain that in a moment. When
- 0:51Speaker 2: it comes to shipping, packaging, industrial supplies and equipment, many
- 0:55Speaker 2: suppliers offer endless isles of product. U Line knows what
- 0:59Speaker 2: you can can't do with endless holes of product. Tests

- 1:24Speaker 2: Chuck Schumer's classic old bull democrat been around forever. Politically,
- 1:31Speaker 2: He's never shown any real signs of radicalism. It's just
- 1:35Speaker 2: a typical dope in New York lefty, and he's knowing
- 1:39Speaker 2: to work the process forever and ever and ever. But
- 1:43Speaker 2: all of a sudden, here's Chuck Schumer doing something that
- 1:47Speaker 2: politically is stupid. Governmentally is stupid, shutting down the government
- 1:53Speaker 2: by putting out demands that he knows President Trump is
- 1:57Speaker 2: never going to cave to. There's no way that Trump
- 2:01Speaker 2: is going to sign legislation the guarantees free health care
- 2:07Speaker 2: to ill legal aliens. When you make a guarantee that
- 2:10Speaker 2: you know, rather a demand that you know the other
- 2:12Speaker 2: side can't accede to, that means you don't want them
- 2:17Speaker 2: to reach a deal. Yet it's clearly not in the
- 2:20Speaker 2: best interests of the Democrats for this government shutdown to
- 2:24Speaker 2: go on. So what's happening here? I think Chuck Schumer's
- 2:30Speaker 2: being I won't say blackmailed, but extorted. He is terrified
- 2:36Speaker 2: of the left wing of his party, and so is
- 2:38Speaker 2: the entire Democratic establishment. Back in March, we were at
- 2:42Speaker 2: the same point with regard to a government shutdown, and
- 2:46Speaker 2: Schumer cut a deal with Trump and the Republicans, and
- 2:49Speaker 2: we went forward and the left eviscerated him. Chuck Schumer's
- 2:54Speaker 2: in New York State. He's up for reelection next year.
- 2:58Speaker 2: There's very little chance of Republicans could beat him, but
- 3:00Speaker 2: he could lose a Democratic primary. He could lose it
- 3:04Speaker 2: to AOC, and AOC's making it clear, we've got to
- 3:11Speaker 2: demand all of these things, and we make no deals
- 3:13Speaker 2: with Trump. Well we don't have We can't not shut
- 3:15Speaker 2: down the government nless there's a deal. Chuck Schumer is
- 3:18Speaker 2: afraid to make a deal. He's afraid to take a
- 3:20Speaker 2: reasonable position because they're the establishment of the Democratic Party
- 3:25Speaker 2: is terrified of their left. This is kind of a
- 3:30Speaker 2: new thing for them. You go back to just consider
- 3:36Speaker 2: who the mainstream Democrats are. Biden's a bad example because
- 3:40Speaker 2: we just don't know what Joe Biden would have done
- 3:42Speaker 2: had he not been mentally enfeebled. If Joe Biden, and
- 3:45Speaker 2: Joe Biden was never sharp at the top of his game.
- 3:48Speaker 2: When you think of the old Joe Biden that was
- 3:49Speaker 2: in the Senate for all of those years and so on,
- 3:51Speaker 2: he was a moderate to liberal Democrat. If he had
- 3:55Speaker 2: that mental capacity, would he have rolled over to the
- 3:57Speaker 2: radicals who said, don't enforce the border all. We don't know.
- 4:01Speaker 2: We don't know if he would have been as intimidated
- 4:04Speaker 2: or not. I have my own theory that he had
- 4:07Speaker 2: his own form of extortion that the Democrats were essentially
- 4:10Speaker 2: telling them, Look, Joe, all this crap that you did
- 4:14Speaker 2: with Ukraine, in which Hunter was making all this money
- 4:17Speaker 2: in Brisbane, how did you go from barely won't being
- 4:20Speaker 2: able to pay for one house they having three houses,
- 4:22Speaker 2: including a beach house in Rehoboth Beef Beach. We're gonna
- 4:25Speaker 2: expose out now. Maybe he would have had to do
- 4:27Speaker 2: this anyway, but again it wouldn't have been willingly. The
- 4:32Speaker 2: left wing of the Democratic Party is Marxist. Mamdani essentially
- 4:37Speaker 2: admits to being Marxist. That's where this party is, and
- 4:41Speaker 2: they aren't particularly interested in doing anything that's all that smart.
- 4:48Speaker 2: The way this thing plays out, Trump pulls all the cards.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Most of the agencies of the government that are shut
- 4:56Speaker 2: down right now are not exactly things that Republican voters love.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Some do you know you apply for Like they're talking
- 5:05Speaker 2: about replacement Medicare card, Well, you're not going to get one.
- 5:08Speaker 2: That's not an essential service to the government at shutdown.
- 5:10Speaker 2: But most of the things that you really really need
- 5:13Speaker 2: to go on are still going on. But More importantly
- 5:15Speaker 2: than that, there is this rustvouthdreat that's out there. We'll
- 5:18Speaker 2: get to that in a moment. This is JD. Van's
- 5:27Speaker 2: Chuck Schumer is terrified he's going to get a primary
- 5:30Speaker 2: challenge from AOC. The reason why the American People's government
- 5:34Speaker 2: is shut down is because Chuck Schumer is listening to
- 5:37Speaker 2: the fire left radicals in his own party because he's
- 5:40Speaker 2: terrified of a primary challenge. No, let's advance that. Why
- 5:45Speaker 2: would Chuck Schumer be so afraid of having to run
- 5:47Speaker 2: against AOC. Even in a state like New York, where
- 5:53Speaker 2: Trump did much better in twenty four than he did
- 5:55Speaker 2: in twenty or sixteen. A lot of the moderate voters
- 5:59Speaker 2: have given up on the Democrats and they're over on
- 6:01Speaker 2: the Republican side. All that's left for Democratic voters is
- 6:06Speaker 2: left wingers. Schumer took a look and while New York
- 6:11Speaker 2: State is a big state geographically, the huge population base
- 6:15Speaker 2: of Democratic voters is in New York City. And Schumer
- 6:19Speaker 2: saw what happened in the New York Democratic primary. You've
- 6:22Speaker 2: got a communist running in Mamdani and he won. Beg Well,
- 6:27Speaker 2: those are the same people that are going to vote
- 6:29Speaker 2: in a Democratic primary. You're seeing this all over Democrats
- 6:37Speaker 2: that have had a history in the past not being reasonable,
- 6:40Speaker 2: being somewhat pragmatic, or at least not out and out Marxist.
- 6:44Speaker 2: Durbin's another one. They're all caving in, and they're all
- 6:47Speaker 2: rolling over to their left wing fridge. The problem that
- 6:56Speaker 2: they have here is the Trump and this version of
- 7:00Speaker 2: Republicans is simply smarter at dealing with this stuff generally speaking.
- 7:05Speaker 2: Yet a government shutdown, you bully around the media, is
- 7:07Speaker 2: just going to do the Democrats bidding for him, and
- 7:09Speaker 2: the Republicans are the ones that are on the defensive.
- 7:15Speaker 2: The Democrats strategy on all of this was to make
- 7:18Speaker 2: the shutdown about health care, that we're doing this in
- 7:23Speaker 2: order to get better health care for the American people.
- 7:25Speaker 2: But Trump flipped the script. He's made it what their
- 7:30Speaker 2: own demand is. He's made it about free health care
- 7:32Speaker 2: for illegal aliens. And he did it because that was
- 7:36Speaker 2: their demand. Now why did the Democrats demand something so stupid? A,
- 7:39Speaker 2: Their radical base wants it, but b they didn't want
- 7:42Speaker 2: a deal. They had to put something out there that
- 7:44Speaker 2: Trump wouldn't take because if Trump would have agreed to
- 7:47Speaker 2: whatever it was, then the Democrat base. The lefties would
- 7:50Speaker 2: have simply said, look, there you are cutting a deal
- 7:52Speaker 2: with Trump again. So they had to put a deal
- 7:54Speaker 2: breaker out there. But Trump has been very successful at
- 7:57Speaker 2: articulating this next point. There's a report from a poster
- 8:10Speaker 2: on X that goes by the handle Wall Street Apes.
- 8:14Speaker 2: That person reports the desiret Townsend, who's a big lobbyist
- 8:17Speaker 2: in DC. Lefty, spoke with members of Congress and according
- 8:26Speaker 2: to Townsend, and this makes sense, why are Democrats really
- 8:30Speaker 2: fighting for illegal health for health care for illegal immigrants?
- 8:35Speaker 2: There is an actual reason for it beyond simply not
- 8:39Speaker 2: having a deal. You take a state like California, in
- 8:43Speaker 2: which a huge percentage of the population is illegal immigrants.
- 8:48Speaker 2: If the government isn't paying for that healthcare, that's a
- 8:51Speaker 2: massive blow to the healthcare industry in California, which is
- 8:56Speaker 2: by the way, entirely leftist. The illegals don't have enough
- 9:01Speaker 2: money to pay for their own health care, so if
- 9:04Speaker 2: the government doesn't pay for it, that's somebody that isn't
- 9:08Speaker 2: going to get paid. And in some of these states
- 9:09Speaker 2: it's a huge segment of the overall marketplace. In the meantime,
- 9:17Speaker 2: let's get back to Rusbaud, Big story on the Wall
- 9:21Speaker 2: Street Journal. He's Trump's director of O and B. He's
- 9:24Speaker 2: been plotting this, according to the story, for years. He's
- 9:28Speaker 2: one of the few that was in Trump's first term
- 9:32Speaker 2: that are the same level of competence as the others
- 9:34Speaker 2: that are here in term number two. Given the fact
- 9:38Speaker 2: that the government right now does not have funding authorization,
- 9:42Speaker 2: it appears as though Trump can cancel any program that
- 9:45Speaker 2: he wants. We went through this earlier in the week,
- 9:49Speaker 2: but I want to cover it a little bit more here.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Trump believes that even if money is appropriated, he doesn't
- 9:57Speaker 2: have to spend it. He believes that in appro propriation
- 10:00Speaker 2: really means you can't spend more than that amount. But
- 10:03Speaker 2: if they appropriate, just grab around number of billion dollars
- 10:06Speaker 2: to something, you know, I don't have to spend a billion.
- 10:07Speaker 2: I can spend eight hundred billion if I want. This
- 10:10Speaker 2: is being challenged in courts, But here's something that's I
- 10:15Speaker 2: think less debatable. If there isn't an appropriation, that means
- 10:23Speaker 2: that Trump doesn't have to allow the program to exist
- 10:25Speaker 2: at all. He can not reduce the spending. He can
- 10:29Speaker 2: zero it out because it's not appropriated. It Right now,
- 10:32Speaker 2: the government isn't appropriated other than the so called essential
- 10:36Speaker 2: agencies that are operating. I want to quote from again
- 10:40Speaker 2: the most journal story at it very very lengthy, and
- 10:42Speaker 2: I can't read the whole thing, but it's quite interesting
- 10:44Speaker 2: that the strategy that Vout has come up with. Russell
- 10:47Speaker 2: Vaud has been planning this move for this moment for years.
- 10:51Speaker 2: President Trump's budget chief, one of the main players in
- 10:53Speaker 2: the government shutdown that has ground Washington to a halt,
- 10:56Speaker 2: might also be one of its biggest beneficiaries. As the
- 10:59Speaker 2: free he this gives him the opportunity to implement funding
- 11:02Speaker 2: cuts he has long advocated. Vout, director of the White
- 11:06Speaker 2: House Office of Management and Budget, was quick Wednesday yesterday
- 11:09Speaker 2: to target Democratic priorities and projects in a move that
- 11:12Speaker 2: affected Democratic congressional leaders from New York Senator, Senate Minority
- 11:16Speaker 2: Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries. Vout
- 11:20Speaker 2: posted on the X that a hold had been placed
- 11:22Speaker 2: on eighteen billion dollars in federal funds for New York
- 11:25Speaker 2: City infrastructure work, a Hudson River tunnel project and a
- 11:29Speaker 2: subway extension. The Transportation Department pinned the blame on the
- 11:33Speaker 2: shutdown saying a review of the project's contracting policies and
- 11:38Speaker 2: their relationship to diversity, equity and inclusion requirements couldn't move
- 11:42Speaker 2: forward without a budget. The Department has been forced to
- 11:45Speaker 2: furlough the civil rights staff responsible for conducting this review,
- 11:49Speaker 2: The agency said in a savement. So you see what
- 11:51Speaker 2: Foul is doing here. See what he's doing is he's
- 11:53Speaker 2: playing hardball the way the lefties have. Okay, we got
- 11:57Speaker 2: a shutdown. We just don't have money to pay the
- 12:00Speaker 2: DEI people. That this contract requires New York contract on
- 12:04Speaker 2: the tunnel on the hudset, of course, says DEI components
- 12:06Speaker 2: in it. So we don't have the money to pay
- 12:09Speaker 2: for the civil rights people this right now, So the
- 12:11Speaker 2: contract gotta throw. We got to ax can the contract
- 12:16Speaker 2: this project the Hudson of Ever, it's important basically to
- 12:19Speaker 2: New Jersey and New York, and the Democrats have managed
- 12:23Speaker 2: to choose both of their congressional leaders both in the
- 12:25Speaker 2: House and set aside from New York and the de
- 12:28Speaker 2: facto a leader of the Congress AOC, is also from
- 12:31Speaker 2: New York. You just can't imagine an earlier Republican administration
- 12:37Speaker 2: doing this. Continuing, Foud also posted more than eight billion
- 12:42Speaker 2: dollars in Energy Department funds for climate projects would be
- 12:46Speaker 2: canceled in more than a dozen Democratic leading states, leading states.
- 12:50Speaker 2: He didn't specify which projects would be affected. The story
- 12:53Speaker 2: goes on. Now, you may wonder why in the world,
- 12:58Speaker 2: with the Democrats, knowing that they're far more dependent on
- 13:02Speaker 2: all of these programs already appropriated to the Republicans, why
- 13:06Speaker 2: would they give Trump the legal ability to cancel this.
- 13:10Speaker 2: And here's the answer. I think Schumer knows that. He
- 13:13Speaker 2: said back in March, we can't shut down the government.
- 13:15Speaker 2: Look what Trump's gonna do. But then after they didn't
- 13:19Speaker 2: shut down the government, the lefties all, what nuts, you
- 13:21Speaker 2: gotta fight Trump, You gotta fight Trump, you gotta fight Trump.
- 13:26Speaker 2: I do not believe Schumer wants to do this. He's
- 13:29Speaker 2: being terrorized by the left wing of his party. And
- 13:33Speaker 2: that's why I use this line that he's a terror victim.
- 13:37Speaker 2: He's being forced to do things that he knows are
- 13:41Speaker 2: stupid because his political survival depends on it. In the meantime,
- 13:48Speaker 2: the pr wars going on again, you're seeing from Trump
- 13:52Speaker 2: a willingness to do things that just would not have
- 13:55Speaker 2: been done in the past. So they did this parody
- 13:57Speaker 2: video like these memes. It was a couple of days ago.
- 13:59Speaker 2: And when they've got the two Democratic leaders, Schumer and Jeffries,
- 14:04Speaker 2: and they've got like a Mexican hat and a mariachi
- 14:06Speaker 2: song being played as they have Schumer saying a bunch
- 14:09Speaker 2: of things that he didn't say. It was hilarious, a caeme.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Jeffries immediately ran to MSNBC. He's going us, this is racist.
- 14:16Speaker 2: This is racist. This is racist. This is racist. Most people,
- 14:21Speaker 2: it's kind of other than the people on the left.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Most of America is just done with all of that.
- 14:27Speaker 2: It's racist, it's racist, it's racist. So Trump doubled out.
- 14:32Speaker 2: They have a new meme out today. It's another mariachi
- 14:39Speaker 2: band and the lyrics go meme them until they cry.
- 14:45Speaker 2: They make memes about them crying. In other words, now
- 14:48Speaker 2: they have a meme showing them crying because they were
- 14:51Speaker 2: made fun of in the first one. Again, this is
- 14:56Speaker 2: something Republicans have never done, and in the past maybe
- 14:59Speaker 2: you would not have been able to get away with it.
- 15:01Speaker 2: But there's been such a backlash against all of this
- 15:04Speaker 2: PCBs that Trump is now able to do it. Of course,
- 15:10Speaker 2: of course, would not have never have done it. You know,
- 15:12Speaker 2: I think that this pretty much started when you got somebody,
- 15:16Speaker 2: you know of the fake Indian, Elizabeth Warre, and she
- 15:18Speaker 2: claims she was Cherokee, and Trump started calling her Pocahontas.
- 15:22Speaker 2: This goes back ten years. Trump's the president still despite
- 15:26Speaker 2: the fact that he keeps calling her Pocahontas. It's not racist.
- 15:30Speaker 2: She's the racist. She's the one that culturally appropriated something
- 15:34Speaker 2: that she isn't. She's not an Indian. Now. The King Report,
- 15:42Speaker 2: which is a news service aggregator, makes a very good
- 15:46Speaker 2: point about this. You can go back sixty years, maybe longer,
- 15:50Speaker 2: and it's always been the left making fun of Republicans.
- 15:54Speaker 2: They cite they go back to the National Lampoon used
- 15:56Speaker 2: to call Spiro Agnew. You remember Spiro Agnew? You remember that?
- 16:00Speaker 2: You don't even remember who he was? Who was he?
- 16:03Speaker 2: He was?
- 16:03Speaker 3: He?
- 16:03Speaker 2: What is? What was he.
- 16:07Speaker 3: Was? He? Yeah?
- 16:07Speaker 2: He was with Nixon. He was the vice President of
- 16:10Speaker 2: the United States, forced to resign. He was a crook.
- 16:12Speaker 2: He was taking bribes when he was the governor Maryland.
- 16:15Speaker 2: They called him sphincter t Agnew. So the left'sman dishing
- 16:22Speaker 2: this stuff out for sixty years and finally you have
- 16:26Speaker 2: the right dishing it back and the lefties, as I've
- 16:28Speaker 2: said forever, I mean, as long as I'm doing my
- 16:30Speaker 2: radio said, the left condish it out. They can't take it.
- 16:33Speaker 2: We on the right have to be able to take it.
- 16:35Speaker 2: Otherwise we'd have to just drop out of the game
- 16:37Speaker 2: because they're constantly ridiculing us. The lefties can't take it.
- 16:41Speaker 2: All you have to do is give them their own
- 16:43Speaker 2: medicine and they fall apart. Like I said, the Mariachi
- 16:47Speaker 2: thing with Jeffries Is, I mean, it was mild, It
- 16:50Speaker 2: wasn't even mean spirit and just kind of making fun
- 16:52Speaker 2: of them as they babble off their uh they're uh
- 16:57Speaker 2: to clean it up a bit their stuff. Another story here,
- 17:04Speaker 2: it's kind of a cousin of these. You've got two
- 17:08Speaker 2: things going on here, lefty political correctness and lefties wanting
- 17:14Speaker 2: to make money. These things come in and clash with
- 17:17Speaker 2: one another. Here there is a big comedy festival in
- 17:23Speaker 2: Saudi Arabia. Saia Arabia has got a lot of money,
- 17:28Speaker 2: and if you've been following this story, which we've mentioned
- 17:30Speaker 2: a few times, Saudi Arabia is mainstreaming itself right now,
- 17:34Speaker 2: and one of the things that's doing is right and left.
- 17:36Speaker 2: It's buying sports franchises, buying entertainment and so on. The
- 17:40Speaker 2: new regime of Saudi Arabia is trying to shed off
- 17:43Speaker 2: the kind of stone age notion of Islam that you
- 17:47Speaker 2: can't have fun and so on. So anyway, that this
- 17:50Speaker 2: big comedy festival, and you know, the richest horse race
- 17:54Speaker 2: of the world is the Saudi Cup, twenty million dollars.
- 17:57Speaker 2: They put up that kind of money because they can't.
- 17:59Speaker 2: They're just you wanted to draw attention to them. Same
- 18:01Speaker 2: thing with this comedy festival. Well, how do you get
- 18:03Speaker 2: a bunch of comedians, most of whom are lefties to
- 18:05Speaker 2: come to this stud You pay him a fortune? And
- 18:08Speaker 2: I all went, I look at this list here some
- 18:12Speaker 2: of them. I mean, I like Dave Chappelle. I don't
- 18:15Speaker 2: think that you can figure out what his politics are.
- 18:18Speaker 2: So he went, of course he's gonna go because he
- 18:20Speaker 2: couldn't care less if he offends anyone. But then you
- 18:22Speaker 2: got Pete Davidson going. Maybe the most unlikable comedian in
- 18:26Speaker 2: the history of comedy. Right, he's just completely unless I
- 18:31Speaker 2: have no clue why even the lefties like him. He's
- 18:34Speaker 2: there's nothing funny about him for some reason. Also, he
- 18:37Speaker 2: gets hot women but then dumps them and says it
- 18:40Speaker 2: becomes suicidal. He's just an odd book. He's also as
- 18:43Speaker 2: lefty as gonna be. He took the money. Bill Burr
- 18:48Speaker 2: hard to figure his politics. He's the bald guy or
- 18:50Speaker 2: the shaved headed guy. You think he's funny. He took
- 18:56Speaker 2: the money. Kevin Hart took the money. They all took
- 18:59Speaker 2: the money, and now they're gonna got backlash from their
- 19:02Speaker 2: fellow people on the left, saying, how can you possibly
- 19:04Speaker 2: go and associate with this terrible Saudi government. See here's
- 19:07Speaker 2: the thing about lefties. They love Muslims, but not all Muslims.
- 19:11Speaker 2: For some reason, they hate the Saudis. And I suspect
- 19:14Speaker 2: they hate the Saudis because of all the Muslim nations
- 19:16Speaker 2: out there, the Saudis seem to be the one most
- 19:18Speaker 2: interested in having a good relationship with the United States. Also,
- 19:22Speaker 2: the Saudis were originally the major funder of terror. They
- 19:28Speaker 2: were the bankrollers have bin laden the new regime there.
- 19:33Speaker 2: I don't think because of any kind of morality. I
- 19:35Speaker 2: think that they're just pragmatic. They realize that terror is
- 19:38Speaker 2: not good business. For them to be, and especially if
- 19:40Speaker 2: they have these notions of being a global economic power.
- 19:45Speaker 2: So they're not pro terror anymore. They're not supportive of
- 19:49Speaker 2: at all of Iran, that's their mortal enemy. And because
- 19:51Speaker 2: they're not supportive of Iran, they're therefore not supportive of
- 19:54Speaker 2: the terror groups that Iran bankrolls, which would be Hesbollah
- 19:57Speaker 2: and Hamas. So maybe that's why the lefties hate the Saudis.
- 20:01Speaker 2: See well, as Saudis do things like they behead women
- 20:03Speaker 2: and all those Muslim nations do, but the lefties for
- 20:06Speaker 2: some reason don't like the Saudis. If this thing was
- 20:08Speaker 2: in it Ran, no lefties would have objected at all.
- 20:11Speaker 2: But anyway, Pete Davidson or law, they took the money
- 20:15Speaker 2: and now they're being called to account by other lefties
- 20:17Speaker 2: and being forced to explain themselves in it's always amusing
- 20:21Speaker 2: when lefties have to explain themselves. Well, let's turn our
- 20:23Speaker 2: attention to this story. Well, I won't say lost, but
- 20:29Speaker 2: overshadowed in the moves that RFK Junior has made on autism.
- 20:34Speaker 2: So much attention was given to the report linking and
- 20:38Speaker 2: suggesting a correlationship between sidamniphin tilot All use by pregnant
- 20:43Speaker 2: women and autism. At the same time, RFK Junior did
- 20:49Speaker 2: authorize as government approved a specific treatment for a form
- 20:55Speaker 2: of autism, nonverbal autism. It's a drug that's been around
- 20:58Speaker 2: for a while called I think you pronounce it Luca
- 21:03Speaker 2: vorn I might have the emphasis on the wrong syllable.
- 21:06Speaker 2: I've heard it pronounced every way imaginable, but that's the
- 21:09Speaker 2: one that I'm going to use. A woman has posted
- 21:13Speaker 2: on TikTok that she has a nonverbal autistic and nonverbal
- 21:19Speaker 2: just means the kid doesn't talk. Following this announcement of
- 21:24Speaker 2: my Kennedy last two weeks ago, last week whenever it was,
- 21:28Speaker 2: she says her kid is speaking, and this video has
- 21:32Speaker 2: like it posted on TikTok, but that it gets linked
- 21:35Speaker 2: up and everything else. It's in the tens of millions
- 21:37Speaker 2: of views globally. Listen to it.
- 21:42Speaker 4: So my son just started luke hobrn for the first time.
- 21:45Speaker 4: In case you haven't paying attention, that was the other
- 21:47Speaker 4: drug that was mentioned when they were talking about this
- 21:49Speaker 4: tilt off fiasco, which put up in an we really
- 21:53Speaker 4: should be talking about luke obren. My son is five
- 21:56Speaker 4: years old and he's nonverbal low functioning autistic always this
- 22:00Speaker 4: way though, up until about a year and a half,
- 22:02Speaker 4: two years old, my son knew words, a lot of words.
- 22:06Speaker 4: He couldn't say sentences, but he could say one or
- 22:08Speaker 4: two words put together. And then there was an incident
- 22:12Speaker 4: that I'm not allowed to speak of because of TikTok regulations.
- 22:18Speaker 4: They took down in the video that I tried to
- 22:20Speaker 4: talk about what had happened in there, but you put
- 22:23Speaker 4: the two together. At right after that, he just had
- 22:27Speaker 4: a steep decline in language and it just it halted.
- 22:31Speaker 4: And he hadn't spoken since he's been on this medication
- 22:36Speaker 4: for less than forty eight hours. And my son just
- 22:39Speaker 4: spoke for the first time.
- 22:41Speaker 5: My nonverbal son just spoke for the first time in
- 22:46Speaker 5: over three years. Every day I have been praying for
- 22:52Speaker 5: an answer, praying for my son to be healed, and
- 22:56Speaker 5: all this time we've just had Lukovid sitting on the shelves.
- 23:01Speaker 5: I'm telling you right now, if your child is nonverbal,
- 23:04Speaker 5: if you are the parent of a non verbal autistic child,
- 23:07Speaker 5: get them on Luke Obran as soon as you possibly can,
- 23:11Speaker 5: because this is the answer that we have all been
- 23:14Speaker 5: praying for.
- 23:16Speaker 2: All right, I have no expertise in this area at all.
- 23:23Speaker 2: What I do know is that after Kennedy said this
- 23:27Speaker 2: is now an authorized treatment for nonverbal autism, some parents
- 23:34Speaker 2: are using it until it's government authorized. Physicians are often
- 23:38Speaker 2: unwilling to practicip risks to prescribe something. The authorization of
- 23:44Speaker 2: the culbrain when Kennedy did it has been attacked by
- 23:47Speaker 2: the pharmaceutical industry, attacked by the left, and so on.
- 23:49Speaker 2: There's no proof. There's no proof. There's no proof. There's
- 23:52Speaker 2: no proof. We do know that though, that the drug
- 23:54Speaker 2: is a low risk drug. In other words, what's the harm.
- 24:00Speaker 2: There's very little indication that this is any good for
- 24:03Speaker 2: any form of autism other than the nonverbal, the nonverbal
- 24:07Speaker 2: and the mothers. My kid did in his first couple
- 24:10Speaker 2: of years, he spoke, but then he just stopped speaking.
- 24:13Speaker 2: First time he spoken in three years is forty eight
- 24:15Speaker 2: hours after he took the first dose of la cuvern.
- 24:21Speaker 2: I am so sick and tired of hearing the media
- 24:26Speaker 2: say that anything that comes out of the mouth of
- 24:29Speaker 2: any alternative medical sources is bs or crap or hogwash.
- 24:33Speaker 2: You'd think that after COVID we would realize that these
- 24:36Speaker 2: people are the ones that are raw. The cverin is
- 24:40Speaker 2: not a high paid drug because it's been out there
- 24:42Speaker 2: for a long time. I don't know if it's generic,
- 24:45Speaker 2: but it's not real expensive. The drug companies don't make
- 24:49Speaker 2: much money off of all drugs. They make money when
- 24:54Speaker 2: there's a brand new one that they can charge six
- 24:56Speaker 2: thousand dollars a dose for and have the insurance companies
- 24:59Speaker 2: pay for it. The same was true of ivermectin. We
- 25:07Speaker 2: had that mocked for three years during COVID. It's hartste wormer,
- 25:10Speaker 2: it's horse well, that's one of the nineties zillion things
- 25:12Speaker 2: that an anti is it in a viral or whatever
- 25:14Speaker 2: it was, it's good for We now know that all
- 25:18Speaker 2: sorts of people who took iver mecton had their COVID
- 25:21Speaker 2: treated better. The turning point in that one was, interestingly,
- 25:25Speaker 2: I think it was the one of the turning points
- 25:26Speaker 2: in society is when the biggest podcaster in the world
- 25:35Speaker 2: got COVID and he took ivermectin, Joe Rogan, and he
- 25:39Speaker 2: said it made me better right away. I think that
- 25:43Speaker 2: was significantly gotten to everything because I think that was
- 25:45Speaker 2: the thing that made Joe Rogan question his leftiism to
- 25:47Speaker 2: the point that he came around and endorsed Trump, and
- 25:49Speaker 2: one of the bigger it had Trump on the podcast.
- 25:51Speaker 2: And so one of the big reasons that Trump won
- 25:54Speaker 2: is that you had people who wrote like Rogan, who
- 25:56Speaker 2: had trusted the lefties forever and ever and ever and
- 25:59Speaker 2: realized that they may be wrong. The thing that's so
- 26:04Speaker 2: annoying about all of this is that all of my life,
- 26:08Speaker 2: the side of the political spectrum that refused to carry
- 26:11Speaker 2: water for big pharma was the left. They were the
- 26:14Speaker 2: ones that questioned and challenged everything, and now they're the
- 26:17Speaker 2: ones that simply doctorate air. You can't do this, you
- 26:22Speaker 2: can't do that, you can't try anything alternative. So I
- 26:26Speaker 2: have no my It may well be that this is
- 26:29Speaker 2: the lakovern for nonverbal autism is like the cancer drugs.
- 26:32Speaker 2: Most of these cancer drugs work for some people who
- 26:34Speaker 2: they don't work for others. It has to do with
- 26:36Speaker 2: how what helps with your own body. SAME's true with
- 26:39Speaker 2: migraine medications. Some work for some people, who do work
- 26:42Speaker 2: for others. And I don't know that la Crovn's gonna
- 26:44Speaker 2: work for every kid that's got nonverbal autism. But you've
- 26:46Speaker 2: got parent and this woman doing out that there's anecdote
- 26:49Speaker 2: eleven in from others that the same thing is happening,
- 26:52Speaker 2: and instead of the media touting and highlighting and spotlighting this,
- 26:57Speaker 2: they're doing the same thing they did with Ivermectin claiming
- 27:00Speaker 2: yet it's craphole like claiming that it's snake oil, which
- 27:02Speaker 2: is deterring some people from doing the very thing that
- 27:05Speaker 2: they ought to be doing. You're listening to the Mark
- 27:09Speaker 2: Belling podcast. This is the Mark Belling Podcast. I have
- 27:16Speaker 2: a really interesting crime story here. It's going to require
- 27:20Speaker 2: you to go back a little bit. You may, if
- 27:22Speaker 2: you're from the Milwaukee area, recall the story. It has
- 27:25Speaker 2: to do with a babysitter who killed the family dog
- 27:28Speaker 2: of the family that she was babysitting. She cut one
- 27:34Speaker 2: of the children's hair and then she killed the family dog.
- 27:37Speaker 2: She ended up pleading not guilty by insanity. She was convicted.
- 27:42Speaker 2: She served nine months in jail. It seemed like just
- 27:47Speaker 2: one of those odd stories of some completely screwed up
- 27:51Speaker 2: young woman that was, as I say it roughly, I
- 27:56Speaker 2: got the deeds, sir. I think it was like a
- 27:57Speaker 2: year and a half, two years ago, and her name
- 28:00Speaker 2: is Kylie Sonomon. Fast forward just several days ago, somebody
- 28:09Speaker 2: broke into a vacant house in Sussex. They must have
- 28:13Speaker 2: had some knowledge that there were guns in the house.
- 28:16Speaker 2: They broke into the house. The house was at the
- 28:18Speaker 2: time unoccupied, but not empty. There were things in it
- 28:21Speaker 2: that just weren't people living in it. They stole twelve
- 28:26Speaker 2: to fifteen firearms out of the house. Guess who the
- 28:34Speaker 2: dog killer? Kylie Sonomon and she's now twenty from Sussex,
- 28:40Speaker 2: and a co defended Samuel Striker, he's seventeen. They're charged
- 28:44Speaker 2: with breaking in and stealing a dozen or more firearms,
- 28:49Speaker 2: and they later went off to a nearby park and
- 28:51Speaker 2: fired him. It doesn't even look like they stole the
- 28:54Speaker 2: guns for the purposes of reselling them. Because you're gonna
- 28:57Speaker 2: resell them, you're gonna draw attention to yourself by going
- 28:59Speaker 2: out in a park get shooting the guns off. Now,
- 29:05Speaker 2: in this case, it doesn't seem like they gave her
- 29:08Speaker 2: a pass in Waka Shaw County for the Washington County
- 29:11Speaker 2: actually for the for the killing of the dog, she
- 29:13Speaker 2: got nine months, which for killing a dog first offense.
- 29:20Speaker 2: I mean, I'm used to everybody getting probation. She got
- 29:22Speaker 2: nine months in jail for it and now she or
- 29:24Speaker 2: she is breaking into a house and stealing guns. There
- 29:30Speaker 2: is zero chance that if she's not given significant time now,
- 29:34Speaker 2: it's all gonna get worse. This is just a bad scene.
- 29:39Speaker 2: She had bail set in Waukashaw County. It's twenty five
- 29:42Speaker 2: hundred dollars cash. I would have any idea for family
- 29:45Speaker 2: is maybe your family just figuring we've got to wash
- 29:47Speaker 2: her hands of this thing, that if we fail her
- 29:49Speaker 2: out and so on, it's just gonna get worse. Maybe
- 29:51Speaker 2: sitting in jail will teach her a lesson. I don't
- 29:53Speaker 2: know if she's gonna stay in jail with regard to
- 29:55Speaker 2: this or not. But it's the same person. Two very
- 29:58Speaker 2: different types of crimes the same person. Another criminal story,
- 30:05Speaker 2: this one also with a very weird twist. We have
- 30:11Speaker 2: a case of a woman from Franklin that southern Milwaukee County.
- 30:14Speaker 2: She's been missing now for four years. I sometimes don't
- 30:20Speaker 2: you can't keep up with all of them. But it's
- 30:22Speaker 2: the kind of case that a lot of these true
- 30:24Speaker 2: crime podcasts and videos on YouTube would focus on. But
- 30:27Speaker 2: I don't know if they have in this one seventy
- 30:30Speaker 2: year old woman just disappeared, Nobody found no trace of her.
- 30:37Speaker 2: She just disappeared and the case has not been solved.
- 30:42Speaker 2: Her name is Sandra Eckert. Now, if you follow anything
- 30:48Speaker 2: about these true crimes, or for that matter, follow any
- 30:51Speaker 2: type of stories whatsoever, if a seventy year old man
- 30:54Speaker 2: or woman, whatever it is, turns up missing, who's the
- 30:56Speaker 2: person that's going to be looked at the first? This
- 30:59Speaker 2: sposs Nobody however, has been charged. But she does have
- 31:03Speaker 2: a spouse. Her name. His name is Wesley Eckert. He's
- 31:07Speaker 2: in his seventies now as well. This week, Wesley Eckert
- 31:12Speaker 2: was arrested by police driving the wrong way on a
- 31:17Speaker 2: one way street in Sandra Eckert's car. Sandra Eckert's children,
- 31:24Speaker 2: and I assume that they're also the children of Wesley Eckert,
- 31:26Speaker 2: are talking to Fox six and saying that this is
- 31:28Speaker 2: just bringing back all the old memories again. It sounds
- 31:31Speaker 2: like the kids may suspect the spouse. He's not charged
- 31:36Speaker 2: with anything, but boy, oh boy, old boy, let's just again,
- 31:40Speaker 2: I don't know if he did it or not. The
- 31:43Speaker 2: story indicates that he was a suspect in the case.
- 31:45Speaker 2: And again, when you don't have a body, unless there's
- 31:48Speaker 2: other evidence, Sometimes you can charge, sometimes you can't. There
- 31:51Speaker 2: is not a statute of limitations for murder, so the
- 31:53Speaker 2: authorities can't wait. Anyway, Let's imagine you did it to
- 31:59Speaker 2: Boulish for me to say, like, imagine you killed your wife, Paul,
- 32:02Speaker 2: But imagine somebody that you knew killed their killed their
- 32:05Speaker 2: wife four years ago. Wouldn't you get rid of her car?
- 32:10Speaker 2: Doesn't it just seem odd that thinks do it? And
- 32:13Speaker 2: then he's driving that car? Why is he going the
- 32:17Speaker 2: wrong way down a one way street? And he's an
- 32:19Speaker 2: older guy. Maybe he's one of these guys starting to
- 32:20Speaker 2: lose it. He was not nailed for drunk driving or anything,
- 32:23Speaker 2: so far as I can tell. He did crash the
- 32:26Speaker 2: vehicle though, So that crash and his arrest on the
- 32:36Speaker 2: crash charges is putting the story back in the news
- 32:41Speaker 2: about the disappearance of Sandra. I have another crash story
- 32:47Speaker 2: for you before I do this. There's a story here
- 32:50Speaker 2: in the news. There's nothing particularly significant about it other
- 32:52Speaker 2: than it amuses me. And it's not even the kind
- 32:55Speaker 2: of story that should amuse me, but it does amuse me.
- 32:57Speaker 2: They're just certain things and certain people that amuse me.
- 33:00Speaker 2: Remember when Jay Cutler got his DUI didn't that amuse you?
- 33:04Speaker 2: That Jay Cutler got in drunk driving? It is funny.
- 33:07Speaker 2: I just it just seems to me that he was
- 33:10Speaker 2: intoxicated when he was playing. First of all, Jay Cutler's
- 33:13Speaker 2: one of those guys, not many of them. He looks
- 33:15Speaker 2: drunk all the time, even when he's sober. He just
- 33:18Speaker 2: has that drunk look to him. It's because it's droopy
- 33:20Speaker 2: eyes or something. He looks drunk. Well, so here're the
- 33:24Speaker 2: guy that always looks you gotta so. Right now, Jay
- 33:26Speaker 2: Cutler is serving he got it's Colorado four year no
- 33:31Speaker 2: at Tennessee four your four day jail term. He's in
- 33:35Speaker 2: jail now. He's in the middle of his four days
- 33:37Speaker 2: in jail for drunk driving. Again, there's nothing significant about
- 33:40Speaker 2: the story at all. It just amuses me. It probably shouldn't,
- 33:43Speaker 2: Does it interfuse you? Jay Cutler's in jail for drunk
- 33:45Speaker 2: driving right now? Another collision story, Two Delta commuter jets
- 33:54Speaker 2: collided on the ground at LaGuardia Airport in New York.
- 33:58Speaker 2: The commuter jets what the commuter jets are usually not
- 34:02Speaker 2: operated by the main airline, and this one is not.
- 34:05Speaker 2: They're operated by Endeavor air but they are part of
- 34:08Speaker 2: the Delta network and it says Delta on the side
- 34:10Speaker 2: of the plane. In some cases, the main airline owns
- 34:12Speaker 2: the commuter line as well, and I don't know who
- 34:14Speaker 2: owns Endeavor, but they're Endeavor air Airlines, but they've got
- 34:17Speaker 2: Delta on the side. They use the Delta gates, the
- 34:19Speaker 2: Delta terminals, et cetera. A flight attendant was banged up
- 34:25Speaker 2: a little, but nobody was seriously injured. I am amazed
- 34:32Speaker 2: that this does not happen more often. First of all,
- 34:36Speaker 2: if you've ever traveled at any of the busy airports,
- 34:39Speaker 2: most of them, most of the major airlines, have their
- 34:42Speaker 2: flights all go out around the same time. I can
- 34:46Speaker 2: tell you, for example, sighting this airport, LaGuardia, New York
- 34:50Speaker 2: late afternoon to early evening. Every airline's got flights is
- 34:54Speaker 2: flying at that point in time, and LaGuardia is just
- 34:58Speaker 2: a weird airport. I've flown out of LaGuardia forever, way
- 35:02Speaker 2: back in the days in which I guess hosted for
- 35:04Speaker 2: Rush and I fly back to Milwaukee. It was always
- 35:06Speaker 2: La Guardia, never JFK, which just that was the airport
- 35:10Speaker 2: go bag back to Midwest Express, and there was air Train,
- 35:13Speaker 2: and then they all used LaGuardia. LaGuardia is this airport
- 35:18Speaker 2: and it's just stuck at a piece of property that's
- 35:21Speaker 2: too small for an airport. LaGuardia is near where the
- 35:24Speaker 2: Mets play City Field. It's also that's also near where
- 35:26Speaker 2: the tennis tournament, where the US Open is held. It's
- 35:29Speaker 2: on the northern portion of Queens. It's right up against
- 35:34Speaker 2: the water, on the northern portion of I mean, it's
- 35:37Speaker 2: kind of long. Long Island is the Long Island, but
- 35:40Speaker 2: it's still in the city of New York. So one
- 35:44Speaker 2: of the runways when you come in, and anybody who've
- 35:47Speaker 2: ever flown to Lguardia's experiences you're flying in right over
- 35:50Speaker 2: the water and the edge of the runway is at
- 35:52Speaker 2: the water's edge. In fact, the runways are so short
- 35:55Speaker 2: that I don't think LaGuardia can be used for international travel.
- 35:59Speaker 2: I don't think they can handle seven forty sevens. I
- 36:01Speaker 2: don't know that, but I think I'm right about that.
- 36:03Speaker 2: It's also and it's a busy there's two airports in
- 36:06Speaker 2: New York. There's laguardieran JFK New York. It's a huge seti,
- 36:10Speaker 2: so there's a lot of flights are about the air
- 36:11Speaker 2: it's just small. The airport building is small. They did
- 36:15Speaker 2: a renovation of LaGuardia Airport a few years ago, and
- 36:20Speaker 2: there were taxi driver saying, this is a miracle. It
- 36:23Speaker 2: is a miracle that they renovated everything, the parking lot
- 36:25Speaker 2: and everything. They managed to keep the airport open during
- 36:28Speaker 2: the entire edit. It was miraculous. I don't even know
- 36:32Speaker 2: how they did it because it's just too small to
- 36:35Speaker 2: begin with. Imagine now construction all over the place and
- 36:38Speaker 2: stuff out of commission. And so by the way, the
- 36:40Speaker 2: terminal LaGuardia used to be the worst in the world
- 36:42Speaker 2: that it's been really nice ever since they read it. Anyway,
- 36:45Speaker 2: the same is true in the area where your taxi
- 36:49Speaker 2: the gates the terminal building is very very close to
- 36:52Speaker 2: the couple of runways that they have there. It's not
- 36:54Speaker 2: one of these places like Atlanta where you're taxi for
- 36:56Speaker 2: twenty five minutes. In fact, it's so cockam amy that
- 36:59Speaker 2: when you're at the end of the terminals, the pilots
- 37:02Speaker 2: can't drive in. They have to be tugged in because
- 37:04Speaker 2: you come in at a goofy angle. Because they're using
- 37:06Speaker 2: every last piece of space at the other thing, you know, Laguardi,
- 37:12Speaker 2: it was just notorious that if you weren't first in
- 37:15Speaker 2: line for takeoff, you could be sitting on the ground
- 37:17Speaker 2: longer than your flight was in there. We're number fifty
- 37:19Speaker 2: nine for takeoff, and there's only the one or two
- 37:22Speaker 2: uh what is it they called jetways that take you
- 37:24Speaker 2: over toward the runway, and you could be backed up
- 37:26Speaker 2: forever and you got planes incoming out, and it's just
- 37:28Speaker 2: it's all packed in. So two of these commuter jets
- 37:32Speaker 2: banged into one another. I think it is a credit
- 37:35Speaker 2: to all of the I don't know if air traffic
- 37:37Speaker 2: control controls you once, say, at the ground or not.
- 37:39Speaker 2: There's all those guys with those orange signals that are
- 37:42Speaker 2: waving your round all over the place, but they only
- 37:44Speaker 2: approach you when you're right by the terminal itself, when
- 37:47Speaker 2: you're on the jetways and everything's zigzagging all over the place.
- 37:51Speaker 2: I'm just surprised that doesn't happen more often. There's the
- 37:55Speaker 2: same airport that the you know, the miracle on the Hudson.
- 37:57Speaker 2: They took off over the water and hit the birds
- 38:01Speaker 2: and they landed in the U in the other river,
- 38:03Speaker 2: the East River, which is one of the rivers that
- 38:06Speaker 2: you know straddles straddles New York. It was no, it
- 38:08Speaker 2: was the Hudson. It was it was it was the Hudson.
- 38:10Speaker 2: It was the Hudset. It was called Miracle on the Hudson.
- 38:12Speaker 2: It was the Hudson. The Hudson is let's see, east
- 38:16Speaker 2: of Manhattan and west. I don't remember, yeah, I just
- 38:23Speaker 2: so that was that was that airport. And now this
- 38:29Speaker 2: some of you may not know what's been going on
- 38:31Speaker 2: with gold. Do you know what's been going on with gold?
- 38:35Speaker 2: You don't know anything about this. You don't just keep
- 38:39Speaker 2: it on on your foot. So you're one of these
- 38:40Speaker 2: iff It doesn't affect me. I have no level of interest.
- 38:44Speaker 2: Gold has been doing nothing but going up for the
- 38:47Speaker 2: last two to three years. This year, silver is going
- 38:50Speaker 2: up at a higher percentage. Usually silver is like one
- 38:52Speaker 2: percent of a gold is and silver's trackedep But gold
- 38:55Speaker 2: has been soaring. It's at an all time high. And
- 39:00Speaker 2: the thing that's been curious about that is usually gold
- 39:04Speaker 2: goes up when stocks go down. Gold is considered a hedge.
- 39:09Speaker 2: When things are bad, that's when people buy gold. Also,
- 39:12Speaker 2: gold has traditionally been an inflation hedge, because you know
- 39:16Speaker 2: gold things in flake. Gold inflates. The thing that's been
- 39:20Speaker 2: odd is gold has really taken off ever since inflation
- 39:24Speaker 2: started to get under control. There's a disconnect between inflation
- 39:28Speaker 2: and gold. Why is gold? Why is silver? Why are
- 39:31Speaker 2: they going up? There's a million theories. Some of them
- 39:35Speaker 2: the real inflation hedge became bitcoin and gold was left
- 39:38Speaker 2: in the wayside, and when bitcoin slowed down, everybody got
- 39:40Speaker 2: into gold and silver. I've heard that. The other theory
- 39:42Speaker 2: is you need metals, including precious metals, for AI, and
- 39:47Speaker 2: there's now uses beyond investment and jewelry purposes for gold,
- 39:51Speaker 2: and that would be the AI purpose. I've heard all
- 39:53Speaker 2: of those things, but I've got some numbers for you.
- 39:55Speaker 2: This is interesting stuff. Between seventeen ninety three and eighteen
- 40:01Speaker 2: thirty three, gold was at the same price nineteen dollars
- 40:05Speaker 2: and thirty nine cents. It then made a big move
- 40:08Speaker 2: in the mid eighteen hundreds. It hit forty seven h
- 40:11Speaker 2: three and forty seven dollars and three cents in the
- 40:13Speaker 2: middle of the Civil War, and then pulled back to
- 40:18Speaker 2: twenty dollars to twenty dollars by eighteen seventy eight. In
- 40:23Speaker 2: eighteen seventy nine, gold was back down to twenty dollars
- 40:26Speaker 2: and sixty seven cents, In other words, only a buck
- 40:28Speaker 2: higher in eighty years. That's a dead investment. Part of
- 40:33Speaker 2: this has to do with America being on the gold standard.
- 40:36Speaker 2: When America was on the gold standard, gold basically didn't
- 40:39Speaker 2: move because the American dollar was tied to gold anyway. Then,
- 40:43Speaker 2: from eighteen seventy nine through nineteen thirty two, gold stayed
- 40:48Speaker 2: at that range of twenty dollars and sixty seven cents.
- 40:51Speaker 2: In the mid nineteen thirties, what happened in the nineteen
- 40:53Speaker 2: thirties even you know this, they're great depression, but generally
- 40:58Speaker 2: had gold does well when everything else has gone to crap.
- 41:02Speaker 2: In the mid nineteen thirties, gold got up to thirty
- 41:04Speaker 2: five dollars, where it stayed for the next thirty years.
- 41:09Speaker 2: Because of the gold standard being created, gold didn't move
- 41:12Speaker 2: an inch from thirty five to sixty five, still thirty bucks. Then,
- 41:16Speaker 2: in August of nineteen seventy one, Nixon took the dollar
- 41:22Speaker 2: off of gold, end of the gold standard. I wasn't
- 41:26Speaker 2: around with any kind of money that I wonder if
- 41:28Speaker 2: I would have had the brains to realize by gold
- 41:30Speaker 2: when Nixon did that, because gold started to explode in
- 41:33Speaker 2: nineteen seventy one, and between nineteen seventy one and nineteen
- 41:35Speaker 2: eighty gold went on one of the greatest bull markets of
- 41:38Speaker 2: all time. I do remember in that era, this is
- 41:41Speaker 2: when the gold bugs came out and they were on
- 41:43Speaker 2: the radio all over the place. By gold, by gold,
- 41:46Speaker 2: by gold, the world's coming to an end, by gold,
- 41:47Speaker 2: by gold, by gold, by gold. Gold went in four
- 41:53Speaker 2: years from nineteen seventy one to seventy five, from thirty
- 41:55Speaker 2: six dollars to one hundred and eighty four. Pretty good move.
- 42:02Speaker 2: It fell to ninety nine dollars in nineteen seventy six.
- 42:06Speaker 2: And then this is when the fireworks that happened between
- 42:10Speaker 2: nineteen seventy six and January of nineteen eighty. Now, what
- 42:13Speaker 2: happened between seventy six and eighty Carter, for those of
- 42:17Speaker 2: you route it out at the time. Carter was there's
- 42:21Speaker 2: never been a worse economy in America other than the
- 42:23Speaker 2: Depression than Carter. Screwed everything up. And again, when does
- 42:26Speaker 2: gold go up when everything else is bad? Gold went
- 42:29Speaker 2: during the Carter years between nineteen seventy six and nineteen eighty.
- 42:35Speaker 2: It went from ninety nine dollars to eight hundred and
- 42:37Speaker 2: fifty by January of nineteen eighty. That's what I read.
- 42:41Speaker 2: It made that incredible run, and that's what all the
- 42:43Speaker 2: ads were on to buy gold. If I've learned anything
- 42:45Speaker 2: about this is when everybody's telling you to buy gold,
- 42:47Speaker 2: then it's too late. So it made that incredible run,
- 42:50Speaker 2: running from about one hundred bucks to eight hundred bucks
- 42:52Speaker 2: in the five years up to nineteen eighty. Gold managed
- 42:58Speaker 2: to pull all the way back from eight fifty in
- 43:02Speaker 2: nineteen eighty and was essentially dead money for decades. By
- 43:10Speaker 2: nineteen ninety nine, gold was down to two hundred and
- 43:13Speaker 2: fifty bucks. So gold went from eight hundred to two
- 43:17Speaker 2: fifty in the eighties and the nineties. What has going
- 43:19Speaker 2: on In the eighties and nineties, the economy was great.
- 43:22Speaker 2: Reagan turned the economy around, and it remained strong under Clinton.
- 43:26Speaker 2: So in the eighties of the nineties, gold lost pretty
- 43:28Speaker 2: much all its value, went from eight hundred back to
- 43:29Speaker 2: two fifty in nineteen ninety nine. From that point forward
- 43:39Speaker 2: until the day before nine to eleven, excuse me, five
- 43:43Speaker 2: days before nine to eleven nine to six. I take
- 43:46Speaker 2: that back, I've got the wrong reference point. Between nineteen
- 43:49Speaker 2: ninety nine and two thousand eleven, gold moved back up
- 43:54Speaker 2: to nineteen hundred and twenty one dollars, So that was
- 43:57Speaker 2: the next big move that occurred in the market. You
- 44:02Speaker 2: then had a bear market in which gold from eleven
- 44:05Speaker 2: to fifteen went from nineteen hundred to ten forty six. Again,
- 44:11Speaker 2: this was during a period of time in which the
- 44:15Speaker 2: economy was mostly moving forward. This is the tail end
- 44:20Speaker 2: of Obama ten forty six, so that last reference point
- 44:24Speaker 2: almost exactly ten years ago. Gold was ten forty six
- 44:27Speaker 2: on December third of fifteen. As of two days ago,
- 44:30Speaker 2: I don't know what it was. Yesterday gold was up
- 44:32Speaker 2: to thirty eight twenty four and continuing to rise. I
- 44:37Speaker 2: have no idea what any of that means. I can, however,
- 44:40Speaker 2: tell you that the history of gold is to be
- 44:44Speaker 2: one of the most volatile things imaginable. After these massive runs,
- 44:49Speaker 2: it tends to pull way way way way way back
- 44:54Speaker 2: and could be dead for fifteen to twenty years. There's
- 44:57Speaker 2: just no way of knowing if we're at thirty eight
- 44:59Speaker 2: hundre right now at the peak, or if this run
- 45:02Speaker 2: is going to go to nine or ten thousand. I
- 45:04Speaker 2: don't know. I own a lot of gold. I haven't
- 45:07Speaker 2: sold that aid, but you certainly have to think about it, because,
- 45:12Speaker 2: as I say, gold does have a tendency to pull
- 45:15Speaker 2: way back. The thing that is a wildcard for me
- 45:17Speaker 2: and trying to assess this and the same thing as
- 45:19Speaker 2: silver silver's really gone up, is whether or not this
- 45:22Speaker 2: is fundamentally driven that you simply need so much gold
- 45:25Speaker 2: and silver for AI where you need rare earth metals
- 45:28Speaker 2: and precious metals that you now have. Silver's always had
- 45:31Speaker 2: a use beyond gold. You know, it's used in an
- 45:33Speaker 2: industry and a lot of things. It's not just a hedge.
- 45:36Speaker 2: It's also used in manufacturing and a lot of things.
- 45:40Speaker 2: Gold basically is just an investment and used in jewelry
- 45:43Speaker 2: and used for almost nothing else. I mean, I don't
- 45:45Speaker 2: even know if they use it for tooth fillings anymore.
- 45:47Speaker 2: So it's just been that. But if there is now
- 45:49Speaker 2: an actual industrial use for the both of them, given
- 45:53Speaker 2: what AI is doing and so on, there may be long,
- 45:56Speaker 2: long long ways for these to run or its implube
- 46:00Speaker 2: speculative and now would be the time to get out
- 46:04Speaker 2: of it. But anybody who's got a lot of gold.
- 46:08Speaker 2: It's just I am not somebody who likes to sell things,
- 46:12Speaker 2: but it seems like they're too high. I always want
- 46:14Speaker 2: to wait for it. I'm willing to let it go
- 46:17Speaker 2: back twenty five percent and say, okay, this is the
- 46:19Speaker 2: downturn rather than you know, I learned that from some
- 46:24Speaker 2: of these tech stocks. Well, gee, it seems like Amazon's overvalued.
- 46:30Speaker 2: You know, in nineteen ninety eight, a lot of those
- 46:32Speaker 2: tex stocks went boom, went went bust. And then there's
- 46:36Speaker 2: the NVIDIAs and the Amazons and the Microsoft saying all
- 46:39Speaker 2: the others of the world. We come back after the
- 46:42Speaker 2: break football preview and some football picks, as we normally
- 46:45Speaker 2: do on the end of the week podcast. All right,
- 46:51Speaker 2: it's time for our weekly football preview and pointspread bricks,
- 46:56Speaker 2: as we are everywhek. We're joined by Mike Burletta of
- 46:58Speaker 2: American Sports Analysts and uson. Mike is threatening to resign
- 47:02Speaker 2: from the program if he doesn't get one of these
- 47:04Speaker 2: points spread picks picks correct. I'm assuming that your service
- 47:09Speaker 2: is doing a little bit better than some of your
- 47:12Speaker 2: scoring picks here here on our podcast. Anything special going
- 47:16Speaker 2: on this week out at ASA?
- 47:18Speaker 3: Yeah, we're having a decent year. Last week we lost
- 47:21Speaker 3: had a poor college day, which aligned with what I had,
- 47:25Speaker 3: and we had a decent NFL weekend. So just again,
- 47:30Speaker 3: we lost our first college top game of the season
- 47:32Speaker 3: last year, but I think we'll bounce. I think we've
- 47:34Speaker 3: got a really good spot this year. So check it
- 47:36Speaker 3: on Friday at ASA wins dot com. We'll have something
- 47:38Speaker 3: up for a big plan on Saturday.
- 47:40Speaker 2: I could not find a single college football game that
- 47:43Speaker 2: I liked all last weekend. I think you kind of
- 47:46Speaker 2: have to have something going on, but last week it
- 47:49Speaker 2: is a very very difficult week Anyway, the way we
- 47:52Speaker 2: normally do this is we talk about college football first
- 47:55Speaker 2: and then the NFL, because other than the Thursday night game,
- 47:57Speaker 2: college football games are played first. I was looking through
- 48:00Speaker 2: the schedule and there really isn't a huge matchup this weekend.
- 48:06Speaker 2: But I think the most interesting one is it's a
- 48:09Speaker 2: conference game and it's an interstate game. Miami is playing
- 48:15Speaker 2: Florida State. Now, Miami was very heavily hyped going into
- 48:20Speaker 2: the season, and I just had some thoughts that they
- 48:24Speaker 2: were too overhyped. They have a lot of transfers and
- 48:27Speaker 2: their Coachmurrio Christobal every single year manages to lose a
- 48:31Speaker 2: game by doing something stupid during the game, But so
- 48:34Speaker 2: far they've looked very good. Florida State is what a
- 48:37Speaker 2: weird program. Two years ago, they were one of the
- 48:39Speaker 2: best teams in the country almost won the national championship.
- 48:42Speaker 2: Last year they were one of the worst teams of
- 48:44Speaker 2: the ACC. I don't know that I've ever seen a
- 48:46Speaker 2: team drop as much as they've dropped, and they've bounced
- 48:50Speaker 2: right back this year. They're coming off a loss, but
- 48:52Speaker 2: they're a much better team that this year. And this
- 48:55Speaker 2: is I guess what's going to happen in the transfer
- 48:57Speaker 2: portal where teams can remake themselves and single year. In
- 49:01Speaker 2: any event, it's actually a conference game. They're both in
- 49:04Speaker 2: the ACC and they might be the two best teams
- 49:08Speaker 2: in the ACC. Your thoughts on Miami and Florida State.
- 49:12Speaker 3: Bike, Yeah, Miami's favored at Florida State by four and
- 49:16Speaker 3: a half. We'll learn more about Miami even though they
- 49:20Speaker 3: have two good wins against Notre Dame and Florida is
- 49:22Speaker 3: still a good win. Even though Florida hasn't been very
- 49:24Speaker 3: good this year.
- 49:25Speaker 2: Florida has a tremendous defense and a pathetic offense, So
- 49:28Speaker 2: they are I think the Cleveland Browns of college football.
- 49:31Speaker 3: Florida they are. They're really you hit it right on
- 49:35Speaker 3: the head. Their quarterback is supposed to be really good,
- 49:36Speaker 3: and he's not playing very good. But this is Miami's
- 49:39Speaker 3: first road game of the year. They played every game
- 49:41Speaker 3: at home so far. You get Florida State a little
- 49:44Speaker 3: angry coming off a loss. Florida State is the number
- 49:47Speaker 3: one offense in the entire country. They averaged six hundred
- 49:49Speaker 3: yards a game, their number one rush offense in the
- 49:52Speaker 3: country three hundred and thirty six yards per game, and
- 49:54Speaker 3: they average fifty three points a game. So it'll be
- 49:57Speaker 3: interesting to see how their offense plays against a really
- 49:59Speaker 3: good defense. Miami's top ten in total defense. It's a
- 50:04Speaker 3: rivalry game, and as you'd expect a rivalry game, it's
- 50:07Speaker 3: normally leans toward the underdog. The last twenty meetings, the
- 50:10Speaker 3: dog has won fifteen of those. In the last ten
- 50:13Speaker 3: times the dog has been an underdog at home, they've
- 50:15Speaker 3: covered eight of those, So I would lean Florida State
- 50:20Speaker 3: in this game. I don't think it's high enough for
- 50:22Speaker 3: us to use, but if it got a little higher,
- 50:23Speaker 3: we probably leaned Florida State.
- 50:26Speaker 2: Are both of these teams top ten teams in the country.
- 50:30Speaker 2: It's really early to tell, and Florida State does have
- 50:34Speaker 2: a loss. Miami has looked very good. As I say,
- 50:38Speaker 2: the coach, and this has been going on forever with
- 50:40Speaker 2: Mario Crystabal. He just does one dumb thing every year,
- 50:43Speaker 2: and he's going to cost this team For all I know,
- 50:45Speaker 2: they'll run the table and going to the National Championship
- 50:47Speaker 2: game and he'll do his dumbell thing then. But he
- 50:49Speaker 2: does know how to build a program. He does assemble
- 50:51Speaker 2: tremendous talent. He's just one of these guys that needs
- 50:54Speaker 2: to have an assistant make a lot of the in
- 50:56Speaker 2: game decisions rather than him. Anyway, they both like me
- 51:00Speaker 2: as really good, hard hitting football teams, kind of back
- 51:05Speaker 2: to what we've seen from the State of Florida in
- 51:08Speaker 2: the past. Do you think they're top ten teams?
- 51:11Speaker 3: I think Miami right now is a top ten team.
- 51:13Speaker 3: If they win this game, they're absolutely a top ten team.
- 51:16Speaker 3: But I agree with you, don't. I can't stand their coach.
- 51:19Speaker 3: He's going to lose a game or two for him
- 51:21Speaker 3: by making dumb decisions at some point. Unless they're just
- 51:24Speaker 3: that much talent, more talented than everyone else. I think
- 51:27Speaker 3: Florida State is fringe top ten. If they would have
- 51:29Speaker 3: won last week, you know you're looking at a top
- 51:31Speaker 3: ten team. This game will tell a lot about both
- 51:34Speaker 3: those teams.
- 51:34Speaker 2: The Cristobal reminds me of a guy who used to
- 51:37Speaker 2: coach at LSU less miles. Every year he'd do something stupid,
- 51:41Speaker 2: but he assembled incredible talent and he was an innovative coach,
- 51:44Speaker 2: but he made just bizarre ind game decisions and it
- 51:48Speaker 2: always had cost them. All Right, we have to turn
- 51:50Speaker 2: our attention to the Wisconsin program, which just appears right
- 51:54Speaker 2: now to be bleak. They're in a transition year, which
- 51:59Speaker 2: you shouldn't be the third year of a new head coach,
- 52:01Speaker 2: but they are, and they're facing the toughest schedule, probably
- 52:05Speaker 2: of any team in college football. Their most witable conference
- 52:08Speaker 2: game was two weeks ago against Maryland, and they got pasted.
- 52:12Speaker 2: Before we talk about this weekend's Michigan game, you're in Madison.
- 52:17Speaker 2: You're close to what's going on over there, the state
- 52:20Speaker 2: of the program, and after what we saw against Maryland,
- 52:24Speaker 2: some people are seriously asking if they're going to lose
- 52:27Speaker 2: every game on the remainder of their schedule. Could they
- 52:30Speaker 2: really be a two to ten team finishing with ten
- 52:33Speaker 2: losses in a row or is it not that dire?
- 52:37Speaker 3: Well, they're going to be underdogs in every game from
- 52:39Speaker 3: this point on, so yeah, it's highly possible they lose
- 52:43Speaker 3: every game from this point on. They're actually they've been
- 52:45Speaker 3: in a double digits underdog once. They're going to be
- 52:47Speaker 3: a double digit underdog four more times this year, so
- 52:51Speaker 3: almost half their games they're going to be double digit underdogs.
- 52:55Speaker 3: The last time that happened was Elva this first year
- 52:57Speaker 3: in nineteen ninety. Now they're playing a much more difficult
- 53:00Speaker 3: schedule than they have in the past, which I mean every.
- 53:03Speaker 2: Bad team in the Big Ten is not in their
- 53:05Speaker 2: schedule and every good one. You know, the Big Ten's
- 53:08Speaker 2: got all these teams and some aren't very good, but
- 53:11Speaker 2: Wisconsin doesn't catch any of them. The weakest one was
- 53:14Speaker 2: probably Maryland. No, maybe Maryland is better than we think
- 53:17Speaker 2: they are. It's too early to tell, but they just
- 53:20Speaker 2: don't have any of the cupcakes in there. The fear
- 53:22Speaker 2: that I have is that the coach is going to
- 53:25Speaker 2: lose the team and players are going to mentally check out,
- 53:28Speaker 2: and it could get really ugly. And I see some
- 53:32Speaker 2: of Luke Fickl's press conferences and I mean, I don't
- 53:37Speaker 2: know how you're supposed to act at press conferences like this,
- 53:39Speaker 2: but he I don't know that. I want to say
- 53:41Speaker 2: he seems defeated, but I think he just realizes that
- 53:45Speaker 2: talent wise, his team is overmatched. Is there any reason
- 53:51Speaker 2: to be more optimistic than what I draw out there?
- 53:54Speaker 3: No, I think I think you're right. I don't you know,
- 53:56Speaker 3: he's probably running out of stuff to say.
- 53:58Speaker 2: I mean, it's hard to I mean, they asked, what
- 54:00Speaker 2: are you supposed to say? I mean, you keep losing
- 54:02Speaker 2: in this? And he so he says, well, we've got
- 54:04Speaker 2: to do this, We've got to do this. But there's
- 54:05Speaker 2: there's nothing to say, I mean, and he's got to
- 54:07Speaker 2: be frustrated. He's a guy that has been successful everywhere.
- 54:12Speaker 2: He was an interim coach at Ohio State like ten
- 54:14Speaker 2: years ago, and they didn't have a very good year
- 54:16Speaker 2: that year. But that was I forget who it was.
- 54:18Speaker 2: It was it urban Meyer who walked away, or Tressel
- 54:20Speaker 2: or somebody. He inherited a team that wasn't really his
- 54:23Speaker 2: and he was only an interim coach. But when you're
- 54:26Speaker 2: somebody that's been in football and have always been successful,
- 54:31Speaker 2: it's hard to figure out what to do when you're
- 54:33Speaker 2: not because you've never been confronted with a lack of
- 54:35Speaker 2: success before.
- 54:37Speaker 3: Yeah, and I think the problem right now is their
- 54:41Speaker 3: depth is not good. I mean, their offensive line loses
- 54:44Speaker 3: guys and they're one of the worst offensive lines in
- 54:46Speaker 3: the Big Ten. They lose their quarterback and their backup
- 54:48Speaker 3: look decent against some bad teams, and that they're just
- 54:51Speaker 3: they're not really deep and they can't afford to lose
- 54:54Speaker 3: those type of guys and be competitive against these type
- 54:56Speaker 3: of teams. And that's where they sit right now.
- 55:00Speaker 2: People are saying Fickle can't be fired because of his buyout.
- 55:03Speaker 2: I don't agree with that. I think he can be fired,
- 55:06Speaker 2: and I think these things are negotiable, and I think
- 55:09Speaker 2: Luke Fickel wants to coach again if he is fired here,
- 55:11Speaker 2: so you negotiate a buyout. I'm just not sure that
- 55:14Speaker 2: it's the right thing to do. I think he made
- 55:17Speaker 2: a terrible decision in switching to an air raid offense
- 55:20Speaker 2: and picked the wrong coordinator to do it, and has
- 55:23Speaker 2: set his offense back. Not the two years that they
- 55:25Speaker 2: had it, but three because they're trying to redirect everything.
- 55:29Speaker 2: I just think that if they're going to go out
- 55:32Speaker 2: and take a look at hiring somebody new, you'd be
- 55:35Speaker 2: hiring somebody who has the profile a fickle Fickle lost
- 55:39Speaker 2: only one game is last season at Cincinnati and went
- 55:42Speaker 2: to the Final four in college football. I mean, they'd
- 55:45Speaker 2: be looking for another guy of that profile, and then
- 55:49Speaker 2: you have everybody transfer your start all over again. But
- 55:51Speaker 2: I mean, if they do go two and ten or
- 55:54Speaker 2: three and nine, I think that the pressure to fire
- 55:56Speaker 2: him would be overwhelming. I'm just not convinced it's the
- 55:59Speaker 2: right thing to do, real quick quick. On the Michigan game,
- 56:02Speaker 2: Michigan might not be quite as good as some of
- 56:04Speaker 2: the Michigan Harbough teams in the past, but they're still
- 56:07Speaker 2: really good. I think Michigan's favored by what's seventeen against
- 56:11Speaker 2: Wisconsin on Saturday. They gave it in Michigan. By the way,
- 56:15Speaker 2: have you ever seen that stadium you've ever been to Ianna.
- 56:17Speaker 2: They call it the Big House, so unusual, hundred thousand
- 56:20Speaker 2: seats but single deck, so I mean the top row
- 56:24Speaker 2: of that. I don't even know. How about the row.
- 56:25Speaker 2: It's got to be like row one hundred and fifteen
- 56:27Speaker 2: or something. It's just such an unusual stadium, but they
- 56:31Speaker 2: managed to They managed to fill that thing up anyway.
- 56:33Speaker 2: Your thoughts on the badges in Michigan.
- 56:36Speaker 3: Yeah, and interesting the stadium. When you look at the stadium,
- 56:38Speaker 3: it doesn't look big because it doesn't look very it
- 56:41Speaker 3: goes down into the ground. So like the top one
- 56:44Speaker 3: hundred and fifteenth row or whatever is not that high
- 56:46Speaker 3: from the ground. It goes down into.
- 56:48Speaker 2: Because the stadium was sunk into the ground.
- 56:49Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, But it's you know, I think
- 56:53Speaker 3: Wisconsin's chances they got to somehow stay in it early.
- 56:58Speaker 3: They scored seventeen old points in the first half and
- 57:01Speaker 3: twenty two possessions this year. And those are again some
- 57:04Speaker 3: bad teams. I mean, Alabama was good, but there's some
- 57:06Speaker 3: bad teams out there. If they in Michigan scored seventy
- 57:09Speaker 3: six points in the first half in four games. If
- 57:11Speaker 3: Wisconsin gets behind early, they've shown they don't have the
- 57:15Speaker 3: offense to come back. They don't. They got behind against
- 57:16Speaker 3: the Alabama got blown out, They got behind against Maryland,
- 57:19Speaker 3: couldn't do anything. They somehow got to keep this game
- 57:22Speaker 3: close into the second half. I don't know if they
- 57:24Speaker 3: can do it or not. Michigan's defense is good, not
- 57:26Speaker 3: as good as they have been. They've got a freshman
- 57:28Speaker 3: quarterback who's making multi millions of dollars because he was
- 57:31Speaker 3: the best recruiter.
- 57:32Speaker 2: Freshman quarterback was making about as much money as Jordan Love.
- 57:36Speaker 3: Yeah, oh yeah, yeah exactly. I mean, I think it's
- 57:39Speaker 3: gonna be tough. If they can somehow ugly the game
- 57:42Speaker 3: up and stay in it into the second half though,
- 57:44Speaker 3: the chance to make it a game. But if they
- 57:46Speaker 3: get behind big in the first half again, they're done.
- 57:48Speaker 3: They just can't. They don't have the offense.
- 57:49Speaker 2: I mean, they the oldest one of the oldest sayings
- 57:52Speaker 2: is no old line no oh, and that's their problem.
- 57:55Speaker 2: Let's try to attention to the NFL. I think maybe
- 57:59Speaker 2: the most bitter rest of the game in the league
- 58:01Speaker 2: is the game tonight. We're doing the podcast on Thursday,
- 58:04Speaker 2: the Rams and the forty nine Ers. I won't even
- 58:06Speaker 2: give it an intro other than that. Your thoughts on
- 58:08Speaker 2: that game.
- 58:09Speaker 3: Well, the lines, the crazy line move in this game.
- 58:12Speaker 3: So the Rams open is a three point favorite. Right now,
- 58:15Speaker 3: they're eight and a half and nine. So that move
- 58:18Speaker 3: that moved through four through six, through seven, and now
- 58:21Speaker 3: it's almost ten.
- 58:22Speaker 2: Why is pretty party? The quarterback's been banged up. Is
- 58:25Speaker 2: he playing for San Francisco?
- 58:27Speaker 3: No, No, he's out, But I mean mac Jones. Their
- 58:30Speaker 3: backup has started in two games and won them both
- 58:33Speaker 3: and looked okay.
- 58:34Speaker 2: As backups go, he's right there with Malik Willis as
- 58:37Speaker 2: being one of the two or three best backups. I
- 58:39Speaker 2: would think he's been a starter in the NFL.
- 58:42Speaker 3: Yeah, and he started two games this year and they
- 58:44Speaker 3: won them both and looked look decent. But the Niners
- 58:47Speaker 3: are really banged up. Their wide receivers are banged up.
- 58:50Speaker 3: They have some offensive line issues. The Rams are healthier.
- 58:53Speaker 3: I think the Rams are a top five ish NFL
- 58:57Speaker 3: team right now. You know, the niners three wins have
- 59:00Speaker 3: come by a combined ten points, so they've played a
- 59:03Speaker 3: bunch of close games. They could have a worst record
- 59:05Speaker 3: and the Rams could easily be four. Now we know
- 59:07Speaker 3: their one losses at Philadelphia. You know how that ended.
- 59:10Speaker 2: And I used them as my pick last week, a
- 59:12Speaker 2: little bit lucky and covering. I had the terrible three
- 59:15Speaker 2: and a half, but they got the touchdown late in
- 59:17Speaker 2: the game went to win by a full touchdown. But yeah,
- 59:20Speaker 2: I agree with you. I think they're a really, really
- 59:22Speaker 2: good team. I both two of the best coaches in
- 59:25Speaker 2: the NFL. I mean, Shanahan's great coach and the Rams coach.
- 59:31Speaker 2: His name is scaping my head right now, McVeigh McVeigh.
- 59:34Speaker 2: They're both really good coaches. They're both second generation coaches.
- 59:39Speaker 2: I think San Francisco is going to give them a
- 59:42Speaker 2: fight in that game. And home field situation is so
- 59:45Speaker 2: weird with the Rams having so few local fans and
- 59:48Speaker 2: so many of the visiting team fans coming in. There
- 59:51Speaker 2: no Packer game this weekend, so let's preview another game.
- 59:54Speaker 2: The Ravens play the Texans, And the reason Mike I
- 59:57Speaker 2: pulled this one out is these two teams were both
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: ought to be Super Bowl contenders, and they're both one
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: and three, and they both have big name quarterbacks. They're
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: both one and three. I know it's early in the
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: season and it's not even a divisional game, but I
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: think this is a must win game. It's really hard,
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: even with the extended season now, to make the playoffs.
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: If you start one and four and one of these
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: teams is going to lose your thoughts in this game,
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: because it just doesn't seem like either of these teams
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: is as bad as their poor one and three records.
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: Well, they've got two different situations here, because the Ravens
- 1:00:34Speaker 3: are really good offensively, you know, they ranked number second
- 1:00:38Speaker 3: yards for play number three and scoring. Their defense stinks.
- 1:00:42Speaker 3: They're thirty second in total gas.
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: That's so unlike that program too. I mean, the Ravens
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: have had a great defense.
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: Forever and they're bad right now. And they're banged up
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: on defense. If you look at two of their three losses,
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: the offense scored thirty or more points eight games. They
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: lost two of their three losses. They've got five or
- 1:00:59Speaker 3: six starters injured on defense. And then Houston's the exact opposite.
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: Their defense is really good and their offense stinks. And
- 1:01:07Speaker 3: they to give you an idea of how bad their
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: offense has been going into the fourth quarter last week
- 1:01:13Speaker 3: against Tennessee, so they had played fifteen quarters going into
- 1:01:16Speaker 3: the fourth quarter, they had scored three total touchdowns in
- 1:01:19Speaker 3: fifteen quarters, and then they scored three in the fourth
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: quarter last week to match their total the first fifteen
- 1:01:24Speaker 3: quarters against a bad team in Tennessee. Maybe that turns
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: them around. I don't know. The line move in this
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: game has been crazy as well. The look aheadline in
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: this game was Baltimore minus nine and a half and
- 1:01:35Speaker 3: Houston is favored by one and a half right now
- 1:01:37Speaker 3: because Jackson's not going to play at quarterback and their
- 1:01:39Speaker 3: defensive injuries are massive right now. Yeah, we're not going
- 1:01:44Speaker 3: to use this game either way, but it's a huge
- 1:01:46Speaker 3: game for both teams.
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, one team has their quarterback, although he's
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: played badly, that's Houston, and the other team has maybe
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: the best quarterback in the NFL and he's out, but
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: they still have a surrounding cast on offense. It's real, real, good, Mike.
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: I'm forgetting the backup for the Ravens. Who's going to
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: start a quarterback for them?
- 1:02:05Speaker 3: It's doing an interesting part that it's Cooper Rush, but
- 1:02:09Speaker 3: the used to the Cowboys. Correct, Yeah, he's with the Cowboys,
- 1:02:13Speaker 3: So Lamar Jackson. Since he's got drafted in twenty eighteen,
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: he's won seventy two percent of the games that he
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: started in the NFL. In the fourteen games he hasn't started,
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: Baltimore's four and ten.
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: So that shows you how Yeah, that means that means
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: he's really good, you know.
- 1:02:31Speaker 3: Yeah, and they're gonna have to change their offense, right.
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: Their offense is predicated on him moving around and running
- 1:02:36Speaker 3: some Mark.
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: Cooper rushed the pocket quarterback.
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: Yeah, correct, correct, So it's going to look completely different
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: this week for them.
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: Okay, recapping our picks from last week, which Mike doesn't
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: want us to do. Mike thought Indiana and Iowa would
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: score more than forty seven and a half and they didn't.
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: They're just it's so hard to figure out some of
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: these teams. I think Illinois is better than Iowa, but
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: Indiana beat iow Illinois by sixty points and they beat
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: Iowa by five points. So it's just it's hard to
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: figure a lot of this stuff out. Paul took the
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: forty nine ers to beat the Jaguars by four and more.
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: We're just discussing the forty nine as they lost the
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: game to Jacksonville. So he took a loss, and Paul
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: list me is I guess Yeah. I was thinking I'm
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: three and one, I'm four, and how in the world
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: could I short change myself? But this is the uh
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: sixth week. Yeah, I'm four, And when I took thet
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: I won't say lucky, but fortunate here. I had the
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: Rams three and a half over the Colts. That game
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: was tied and the Rams got a touchdown. Often you
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: just get the field goal and you don't cover. So
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: I moved to four and one with my picks. Then,
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: all right, we'll make some point spread picks pro college
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: games to be played this weekend, Paul, you get to
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: go first, the Lions and the Bengals. In fact, I
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: have strong thoughts on that game myself. That's ten Detroit
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: on the road at Cincinnati is favored by ten. The
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: Patriots and the Bills. Right, lad, you're asking about the NFL.
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: There's fewer games to scroll through. That game is that's
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: the Sunday night game. It's in Buffalo, and the Bills
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: are favored at home by eight and a half. The
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: Chiefs and the Jaguars. Yes, about the Chiefs and the
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: day that's Monday night, the Monday night game. That game
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: is in Jacksonville. But the Chiefs on the road are
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: favored by three and a half. You're taking the Chiefs.
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: You're taking the Chiefs to win by four or more
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: on the road at Jacksonville. You might want to reconsider
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: going against Jacksonville what you did last week and lost
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: in this, Kansas City seems to me to be better
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: than I thought they were going to be. Once again,
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: we're only a few weeks into the season and we
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: already realized Week one is completely irrelevant. I mean, Detroit's
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: an example. There's just so many teams that played either
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: good or bad or Week one, and he just every
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: year people overreact to Week one and you can just
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: already see it. Anyway, why do you like the Chiefs
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: over Jacksonville here? Well, you say that, I mean they
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: do Jacksonville. Jacksonville's a hard read because they're in such
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: a crappy division, so when they play in the division,
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: somebody's got to win. But the quarterbacks in his prime
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: Chiefs are You often pick games now you mentioned one game.
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: I do have an opinion, but you often pick games
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: in which I'm completely mystified by. And I do think
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: Kansas City is much better that I think they might
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: be better last year than they were last year when
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: they went to the super Bowl, but did it with mirrors.
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: They seem so far this year to be a more
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: complete team in the offense is bounced back a little bit. Yeah,
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: Bill's on the Patriots. I've another impossible game with that
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: big spread. Mike, do you have any quick thoughts on
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: Paul's pick of the Chiefs over the Jaguars on Monday?
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, Jaguars have a good record. They have
- 1:06:07Speaker 3: one loss on the season, you know, three and one,
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: but they've been helped by they're the number one turnover
- 1:06:14Speaker 3: team in the NFL. Margin they're plus nine and turnovers
- 1:06:16Speaker 3: all right.
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: And turnovers are often luck, not always, but often luck.
- 1:06:21Speaker 3: Their luck a lot of times. And they again I've
- 1:06:25Speaker 3: talked about this on this show for years, if you
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: win the turnover battle in your game, you're gonna win
- 1:06:29Speaker 3: seventy five to eighty percent of the time. That's just
- 1:06:31Speaker 3: the way it is in the NFL. And they're plus
- 1:06:33Speaker 3: nine already, so that has a lot to do with
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: why they sit where they are. Chiefs. I think they
- 1:06:38Speaker 3: might be a little better than last year. I'm still
- 1:06:40Speaker 3: not quite sold on them. I see, I understand why
- 1:06:43Speaker 3: they're three and a half in this game. I think
- 1:06:45Speaker 3: Jacksonville's pretty overrated for a three and one team, to
- 1:06:48Speaker 3: be honest, right now, so you.
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: Kind of think maybe Paul's right. I'm like always a
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: three and a half.
- 1:06:53Speaker 3: You think if it was under three?
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, give me Mike needs his win. Where are
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: we going with our games?
- 1:07:00Speaker 3: Well, let's get one college and one NFL college. I
- 1:07:03Speaker 3: need the Iowa State Cincinnati at three twenty seven. Three
- 1:07:07Speaker 3: twenty eight is the number.
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: Yeah, Cincinnati is better than I thought they'd be. But
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: I'm not sure they're bed. I just don't know if
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: they're bet In the Iowa State, Cincinnati at home is
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: favored by one and a half over Iowa State.
- 1:07:18Speaker 3: And then in the NFL, how about the uh well
- 1:07:22Speaker 3: two in the NFL Saints Giants Giants said, Saints Saints.
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: Giants, Though, there's a marquee game for you, the Saints
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: and the Giants. That game is in New Orleans. The
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: Saints are favored by one and a half.
- 1:07:35Speaker 3: And then Denver at Philadelphia.
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: That's a better game. Broncos and the Eagles. Here we
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: go there it is uh three and a half. The
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: Eagles at home favored by three and a half. Broncos
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: have a really good defense, yes they do.
- 1:07:56Speaker 3: Let's go with the college game. I'm gonna take Cincinnati
- 1:07:58Speaker 3: minus one and a half over IWA.
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: Yeah, Cincinnati's just better than I thought they were. Frankly,
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: they don't seem to have missed the beat since Luke
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: Vikele left Cincinnati. Iowa State still a really good team too.
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: Why do you like Cincinnati?
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: I like the Cincinnati is a lot better than people think. Cincinnati.
- 1:08:19Speaker 3: Offensively is really good. Their top twenty in total offense
- 1:08:23Speaker 3: averaged forty points a game. They're number three in the
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: whole country and yards per play. They average over eight
- 1:08:28Speaker 3: yards per play offensively, and they've played some decent teams,
- 1:08:31Speaker 3: including Nebraska. They averaged six point three yards per carry,
- 1:08:35Speaker 3: which is ninth in the country. Their offenses is really good.
- 1:08:39Speaker 3: I'm not sold on Iowa State. I'll be honest. They
- 1:08:42Speaker 3: beat Kansas State the first week. We see what. Kansas
- 1:08:44Speaker 3: State is not that great this year. They looked good
- 1:08:47Speaker 3: last week. But the thing about Iowa State last week
- 1:08:50Speaker 3: is they lost their two starting corners last week, who
- 1:08:53Speaker 3: started fifty five games between them. They're both gone. They're
- 1:08:56Speaker 3: both lost for the season last week. That's a huge
- 1:09:00Speaker 3: blow to them. I like the fact that Iowa State's
- 1:09:03Speaker 3: played all home games. The one true road game they
- 1:09:06Speaker 3: played was at Arkansas State, who's bad. Arkansas State is
- 1:09:10Speaker 3: zero to four, including losses to ul Monroe and Kanansas State.
- 1:09:15Speaker 3: Iowa State won that game by eight points with a
- 1:09:18Speaker 3: touchdown in the fourth quarter. They struggled in that game.
- 1:09:21Speaker 3: The numbers, I look at it across the board, Cincinnati's
- 1:09:24Speaker 3: better at the yards per play margin, those type of names,
- 1:09:29Speaker 3: type of games. The one thing I also like about
- 1:09:31Speaker 3: this game, Mark is you've got a team that's ranked
- 1:09:33Speaker 3: in the top fifteen against a team that's not even
- 1:09:37Speaker 3: receiving votes in the rankings. And Iowa State was favored
- 1:09:42Speaker 3: in this game and it switched to Cincinnati favored. You
- 1:09:44Speaker 3: don't see that too often. There's a reason Cincinnati's favored
- 1:09:47Speaker 3: at home in this game. And I'll lay the one
- 1:09:48Speaker 3: and a half.
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: Okay, I'm going to go to the NFL. It's one
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: of the games that Paul mentioned, and I'm getting over
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: my version of laying a lot of points. It's the
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: Detroit Cincinnati game. The Lions on the road are favored
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: by ten. Picking double digit road favorites used to be
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: way back in the day. A really dumb thing to do.
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: It get throw week one out. The Lions are spectacular
- 1:10:09Speaker 2: if you ignore Week one, where they look just terrible
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: against Green Bay since then, they've been spectacular and Cincinnati
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: is an absolute mess. Paul. Whether Mike mentioned the Ravens
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: without Lamar Jackson, it's the same thing Cincinnati without Joe
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: Burrow and he's out for months. They have no offense
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: without him. They scored only three points last week. I
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: just Detroit is scoring again. Take Week one out. They're
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: over thirty points every game. It doesn't matter whose defense
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: is facing them. Throw the green Bay game out. Detroit's
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: going to score over thirty and I think they'll throw
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: a score over thirty against Cincinnati. And with a ten points,
- 1:10:46Speaker 2: I can't fathom the Bengals scoring twenty. They just seem
- 1:10:50Speaker 2: to have no offense at all without Burrow, and the
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: season seems to be spiraling out of control for them.
- 1:10:55Speaker 2: So I'm laying all ten on the road with the
- 1:10:58Speaker 2: with the Detroit Lions. I know you just don't like
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: laying a lot of points with the NFL, but I
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: think the spy calls for it.
- 1:11:05Speaker 3: Yeah. I think San Cincinnati is gonna cash it here soon.
- 1:11:08Speaker 3: The third offense, like you said, it, is horrible. Last
- 1:11:11Speaker 3: two weeks against Minnesota and Denver, they've been outscored seventy
- 1:11:14Speaker 3: six to thirteen in those two games, and now they're
- 1:11:17Speaker 3: playing an offense that's way better than Minnesota and Denver's offense,
- 1:11:20Speaker 3: So I don't disagree with that. Another interesting point on
- 1:11:24Speaker 3: Paul's take taking Kansas City. Remember Cincinnati three weeks ago
- 1:11:29Speaker 3: beat Jacksonville at home thirty one to seven, thirty one
- 1:11:32Speaker 3: to twenty seven, and Burrow went out early in that game,
- 1:11:35Speaker 3: and they still beat Jacksonville, So that might tell you
- 1:11:37Speaker 3: Jacksonville is just not where they should be. I don't
- 1:11:39Speaker 3: disagree with the player. I'm not huge in the land
- 1:11:41Speaker 3: huge points on the road, but there's no way I'd
- 1:11:43Speaker 3: take Cincinnati in that game.
- 1:11:44Speaker 2: Yeah, I do think that the numbers on it are
- 1:11:47Speaker 2: no longer as terrible as they used to be, and
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: there isn't as much parody, and that there's just more
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: really bad teams and really good teams now in the
- 1:11:56Speaker 2: NFL than there was in the past. So I'm willing
- 1:11:58Speaker 2: to lay you agree you were going to I assume
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: you were going to take Detroit when you were mentioning
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: asking about that game as well. Yeah, well you kind
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: of regret not to. You just think, for all of
- 1:12:08Speaker 2: a sudden, you're into this impression that I've got things
- 1:12:10Speaker 2: figured out this season, and I just had Whenever you
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: start thinking that way, that means it's about to crash
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: to an end. Anyway, We'll talk to Mike again next week.
