- 5:03Speaker 6: One cool Well, Hello, Hello, and welcome.
- 5:07Speaker 8: Welcome. I want to welcome everyone to another episode of
- 5:12Speaker 8: the Proof podcast. We have the Way and hopefully we're
- 5:16Speaker 8: going to have doctor Ceci here with us on tonight.
- 5:19Speaker 8: We have been taking these opportunities on these free episodes
- 5:24Speaker 8: to allow them to come on and share a little
- 5:27Speaker 8: bit about what's been going on within our judicial system
- 5:30Speaker 8: and sharing about some cases that have been really affecting
- 5:33Speaker 8: our Brown community. We want to bring some light to
- 5:35Speaker 8: some things that you know, we thought we were moving past,
- 5:38Speaker 8: but yet we see that we are yet stuck. But
- 5:42Speaker 8: it needs to be brought to the light. We have
- 5:45Speaker 8: definitely been seeing a lot of disparity within the judicial system,
- 5:52Speaker 8: and it is time for us to stand up and
- 5:55Speaker 8: to speak up and speak out so that people can
- 5:58Speaker 8: see what's really going on. And it's time for some
- 6:02Speaker 8: people to be held accountable for the things that have
- 6:05Speaker 8: been taking place and the things that have been brought
- 6:08Speaker 8: upon families.
- 6:11Speaker 1: It is time.
- 6:12Speaker 8: For people to really see what is really going on
- 6:15Speaker 8: in these great Americas. So tonight We're gonna bring brother
- 6:21Speaker 8: Dwayne own up and allow him to introduce hisself. I
- 6:26Speaker 8: tell you, I think we're gonna have to make a
- 6:29Speaker 8: space for him over here on the Crew podcast coming
- 6:32Speaker 8: up season four, because he has definitely been a pillar
- 6:37Speaker 8: over here, definitely coming on in his willingness to share
- 6:41Speaker 8: and bring a lot to a lot of things that
- 6:44Speaker 8: is happening and within the judicial system. So I'm gonna
- 6:46Speaker 8: bring him own up and allow him to introduce hisself,
- 6:49Speaker 8: and then he's gonna tell you a little bit about
- 6:51Speaker 8: the case that he's been he's been working on, sharing,
- 6:57Speaker 8: advocating for and sharing across these media. Y'all know what
- 7:01Speaker 8: we do over your own TikTok and what we do
- 7:03Speaker 8: across the platforms that God has allowed us to have
- 7:07Speaker 8: and allowed us to grace, and we just want to
- 7:10Speaker 8: be the change that we desire to see in this world.
- 7:13Speaker 8: So we're utilizing our voice and positive ways. So without
- 7:17Speaker 8: further ado, I'm going to bring my brother Duwayne up
- 7:20Speaker 8: and allow him to introduce himself, and then he's gonna
- 7:22Speaker 8: tell y'all a little bit about mister Christopher nee Hies
- 7:26Speaker 8: that we have been sharing. So brother Dawayne, come on,
- 7:30Speaker 8: in the room.
- 7:33Speaker 6: Welcome, Welcome everybody. I definitely welcome everybody in and I
- 7:37Speaker 6: appreciate everybody for tuning in today. I want to thank
- 7:40Speaker 6: everyone for just being blessed in this moment. We have
- 7:45Speaker 6: today two lovely people, a king and a queen that's
- 7:50Speaker 6: coming in to speak to us about the plight of
- 7:53Speaker 6: their son. He had got into a situation in mith
- 7:59Speaker 6: Lothian to where he was actually aggressed upon, and there's
- 8:04Speaker 6: video evidence out there. This is back in July of
- 8:06Speaker 6: this year, and we're gonna have them speak on this, uh,
- 8:10Speaker 6: this situation, because it is a travesty in my in
- 8:13Speaker 6: my mind, in my opinion based on what I know.
- 8:16Speaker 6: But I'm going to have them come and give us
- 8:18Speaker 6: a brief synopsis of exactly what happened so we can
- 8:21Speaker 6: get into the weeds of this situation. And I want
- 8:25Speaker 6: to let you guys and introduce you to mister and
- 8:28Speaker 6: missus theos. Go ahead.
- 8:32Speaker 3: Uh, it's good evening, Mark Jessica, and we are the
- 8:37Speaker 3: parents of Christopher, and just kind of a little brief
- 8:40Speaker 3: synopsis of what happened back in July, our son, Christopher
- 8:44Speaker 3: and three of his friends went up to the Lowthing
- 8:48Speaker 3: Community Park maybe about maybe about five five minutes from
- 8:52Speaker 3: the house. All the kids in the Low they go
- 8:54Speaker 3: up their line. So him and the friends went up
- 8:57Speaker 3: there just go out there for you just you know,
- 8:59Speaker 3: do a kid who has a good time and whatnot.
- 9:02Speaker 3: When they were approached by another group of kids who don't.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Actually live within Midlow.
- 9:08Speaker 3: They live about thirty minutes away different surrounding little cities around,
- 9:13Speaker 3: but still within Ellis County. So they approached him and
- 9:18Speaker 3: his group of friends said that they wanted to speak
- 9:20Speaker 3: with him about It wasn't even originally approach to my
- 9:24Speaker 3: son specifically, It was approached to one of his friends
- 9:27Speaker 3: and they, you know, they s told him they wanted
- 9:28Speaker 3: to have a conversation about something. And because they come
- 9:32Speaker 3: up to another area of the park, so they went
- 9:35Speaker 3: over there thinking that ain't we're just gonna you know, talk,
- 9:39Speaker 3: and at that point they were aggressed upon, well the
- 9:42Speaker 3: one friend was aggressed upon, and there was a little
- 9:46Speaker 3: you know, altercation that was ended. And then there was
- 9:49Speaker 3: a female in the video that you'll see she approached
- 9:53Speaker 3: son and starts yelling at him, calling him the N words,
- 9:57Speaker 3: spitting on him, and you can see in the video
- 10:00Speaker 3: her friends are pulling her back, telling her to stop
- 10:02Speaker 3: trying to keep her from you know, putting hands on
- 10:05Speaker 3: my son, and with throughout the video on my son
- 10:07Speaker 3: instead of walking around her, trying to walk away and
- 10:10Speaker 3: trying to get away from her. And then at some
- 10:12Speaker 3: point she's able to break free of the grasp of
- 10:15Speaker 3: her friend, in which she lunges at my son with
- 10:19Speaker 3: her hand out of it, you know, attempting to strike him,
- 10:22Speaker 3: and basically, you know, he was just a little bit faster,
- 10:24Speaker 3: whether it be reflexes or whatnot, and he.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Opened palms just you know, light slap across her face
- 10:29Speaker 1: one time.
- 10:29Speaker 3: Mind you, this is already after she had already spit
- 10:32Speaker 3: on him, called him the N word a whole bunch
- 10:34Speaker 3: of times, so you know, she had already assaulted him.
- 10:39Speaker 3: And then at that point, after that slap, her boyfriend
- 10:43Speaker 3: and several of his friends that were with him, both
- 10:46Speaker 3: male and female, all in a mob attack.
- 10:50Speaker 1: They all, you know, aggressed upon my son.
- 10:53Speaker 3: With which he defended himself using a using a knife.
- 10:58Speaker 3: And the individual that he did end up stabbing turned
- 11:02Speaker 3: out to be the son of the Ellis County Sheriff's deputy.
- 11:05Speaker 3: So that kind of adds a whole another layer to
- 11:07Speaker 3: all this situation in terms of whether it's going to
- 11:10Speaker 3: be how it's going to be tried, and then just
- 11:13Speaker 3: some of the things that we've already seen already. Immediately
- 11:16Speaker 3: after this situation took place, we started to receive death threats,
- 11:20Speaker 3: people posting our address on various social media sides pictures
- 11:24Speaker 3: of our house saying it would be ashamed of something happened.
- 11:27Speaker 3: We were informed that there was a group chat group
- 11:29Speaker 3: chat with about fifty one people that wanted to cause harm.
- 11:33Speaker 1: To our family.
- 11:35Speaker 3: So that kind of, you know, that added to that
- 11:37Speaker 3: as well, and then just somewhat the lack of concern
- 11:41Speaker 3: as well from the middle then police department as well.
- 11:43Speaker 3: You know, you know I told him that, you know,
- 11:46Speaker 3: we were receiving death threats, and he just either when
- 11:48Speaker 3: the officers, the officer said kind of chuckle and said
- 11:52Speaker 3: I heard about that, and then kind of walked off.
- 11:54Speaker 1: And then even after I.
- 11:55Speaker 3: Had told him via text, because he didn't give the detective,
- 11:59Speaker 3: I don't know if he was a lead detective, but
- 12:00Speaker 3: he presented himself as a lead detective. He gave me
- 12:03Speaker 3: his card and told me to text him a call,
- 12:05Speaker 3: and you know, if we received one.
- 12:07Speaker 1: I did didn't hear anything back two weeks later.
- 12:10Speaker 3: Two weeks later, mind, you know, texting that my family's
- 12:13Speaker 3: receiving you know, continue to received threats.
- 12:16Speaker 1: To our lives and whatnot.
- 12:19Speaker 3: So it's kind of you knows what happened. They did
- 12:23Speaker 3: charge christmal two counts of aggravated assault and one kind.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Of assault class.
- 12:32Speaker 6: Okay, so I remember when the video was released by
- 12:37Speaker 6: the media, and you can clearly see during that moment,
- 12:43Speaker 6: Christopher was in a constant retreat. I think I remember
- 12:47Speaker 6: as soon as I saw it come on and you
- 12:49Speaker 6: can hear the N word being being used by the
- 12:53Speaker 6: young lady. You can see the other young lady holding
- 12:55Speaker 6: her back she breaks that grass. But I know I
- 12:58Speaker 6: remember seeing Christopher retreating the entire time. When she swung
- 13:03Speaker 6: at him. He retreated. When the boyfriend and the other
- 13:08Speaker 6: friends start coming at him swinging, he was retreating and
- 13:11Speaker 6: you can see him then pull out the knife, which
- 13:15Speaker 6: let's just get everybody clear. In the state of Texas,
- 13:18Speaker 6: anything under five point five inches as far as a blade,
- 13:22Speaker 6: they consider it as a tool. I mean, anyone can
- 13:25Speaker 6: carry one in the state of Texas. It's legal to
- 13:27Speaker 6: have it. So that mean youa toddler all the way
- 13:30Speaker 6: to Grandpa can have a poker or a knife at
- 13:34Speaker 6: that size, So it wasn't anything illegal for Christopher to
- 13:37Speaker 6: have in this instance. He was retreating the entire time
- 13:41Speaker 6: when he stabbed the young man or swiped at the
- 13:45Speaker 6: young man and the others, because I think he was
- 13:47Speaker 6: just really trying to flee for his life at that
- 13:49Speaker 6: point time. You can hear the people saying, oh, he's
- 13:53Speaker 6: been stabbed, but you can still see them aggressing up
- 13:56Speaker 6: on him even though he was still retreating, even with
- 13:59Speaker 6: the knife. So in my mind, under our defense laws
- 14:04Speaker 6: here in the state of Texas, he doesn't have a
- 14:06Speaker 6: duty to retreat at all none. But he did that anyway.
- 14:11Speaker 6: He still gave them grace to get away from them,
- 14:15Speaker 6: and they still aggressed upon him. They still assaulted him.
- 14:18Speaker 6: And what I found is once I did hear of
- 14:22Speaker 6: this case again, because I heard of it initially and
- 14:25Speaker 6: then I saw someone talking about it on TikTok. So
- 14:28Speaker 6: at that point I decided to put in the four
- 14:30Speaker 6: request myself, and I put in the four requests to
- 14:33Speaker 6: the City of mith Lothian because I figured this happened
- 14:36Speaker 6: at at an actual park, so they have cameras. So
- 14:40Speaker 6: I asked them for their cameras, and they came back
- 14:43Speaker 6: and told me there was nothing responsive to my request.
- 14:47Speaker 6: So then I had someone that I know that lived
- 14:50Speaker 6: down there go and look at the park and they said,
- 14:53Speaker 6: there indeed are cameras, and so they I emailed them
- 14:56Speaker 6: again and said, hey, I know you have cameras. I
- 14:59Speaker 6: need those camera angles. I then got a letter from
- 15:02Speaker 6: them stating that they were taking it to the Attorney
- 15:04Speaker 6: General's office to see if I can obtain those cameras.
- 15:07Speaker 6: So we went from not having cameras to now having
- 15:10Speaker 6: to go to the AG's office. I also put in
- 15:12Speaker 6: the four requests Ellis County as well, and then also
- 15:16Speaker 6: to the police department. I think they just lowered it up.
- 15:20Speaker 6: I only remember getting a response from them. I just
- 15:22Speaker 6: remember someone got a law firm. I forget which one
- 15:25Speaker 6: it was, but they said they were going to the
- 15:27Speaker 6: AG's office. So what I did understand from that is
- 15:32Speaker 6: that since this young man is the son of one
- 15:36Speaker 6: of the Ellis County Sheriff's officers, then they're trying to
- 15:40Speaker 6: protect that and they're trying to protect them, and so
- 15:44Speaker 6: I just believe at this point we have to put
- 15:46Speaker 6: pressure on Ellis County to release the information one of
- 15:50Speaker 6: that officers so we can see we kind of disphene
- 15:51Speaker 6: their records he got, but then to make that connection
- 15:55Speaker 6: so we understand exactly what is going on. We know
- 15:58Speaker 6: what's going on, but you have a paper trailer going on,
- 16:02Speaker 6: and I just feel that they are trying to protect
- 16:05Speaker 6: the real crime, and the real crime is that that
- 16:08Speaker 6: group of individuals, those thugs and that's me speaking, decided
- 16:12Speaker 6: to aggress upon Christopher that day and his friends for
- 16:17Speaker 6: whatever reason. The reason is really not that important. But
- 16:20Speaker 6: when you follow someone and you continue to follow them
- 16:23Speaker 6: and you aggress upon them, and they're trying to say
- 16:26Speaker 6: no and retreating and you still aggress and then they
- 16:29Speaker 6: defend themselves, that is not a crime. And so for
- 16:34Speaker 6: that reason, I want to know, without you getting any
- 16:39Speaker 6: into any specifics and to the actual case and defense
- 16:45Speaker 6: of the case, what was the district attorneys conversation when
- 16:57Speaker 6: they were at arraignment and at pre trial or any
- 17:02Speaker 6: kind of motions that they had. Were they matter of
- 17:05Speaker 6: fact about these two council charges charging them with or
- 17:08Speaker 6: were they just kind of methodical that, hey, we charged
- 17:11Speaker 6: them with this, this and this.
- 17:15Speaker 1: So he actually hasn't had any any to try or anything.
- 17:19Speaker 3: He had he had the court a court day he
- 17:22Speaker 3: did go, but DA was the DA didn't even show up.
- 17:25Speaker 3: I guess maybe the system was there or whatnot. And
- 17:28Speaker 3: that was rescheduled to the twenty third January. So as
- 17:33Speaker 3: of right now, he formally hasn't seen any you know,
- 17:36Speaker 3: any you know, any at any really corporate seedings. But
- 17:41Speaker 3: just to speak on the fact that they are trying
- 17:43Speaker 3: to protect, you know, in the fact that he is
- 17:46Speaker 3: the son of a shared else kind of shriffs, you know, Deputy.
- 17:49Speaker 3: That was kind of evident in the very beginning, just
- 17:51Speaker 3: with the simple fact that bond was the bond started,
- 17:53Speaker 3: the bonding was three and fifty five off the job.
- 18:00Speaker 3: Just the way, just the way things have been trying
- 18:02Speaker 3: to you know, just the way things have been trying
- 18:03Speaker 3: to move.
- 18:03Speaker 1: They weren't showing. So when he wasn't ddty, we never
- 18:07Speaker 1: found out.
- 18:07Speaker 3: He never knew that he was indety. They weren't really
- 18:09Speaker 3: communicating what's going on. Everything's kind of just under the
- 18:15Speaker 3: table kind of moving, you know what I'm saying, No
- 18:17Speaker 3: real communication as to what's going on. So, you know,
- 18:22Speaker 3: just in the signal, just the way, you know, just
- 18:24Speaker 3: the way everything's kind of being handled, just in the signal,
- 18:26Speaker 3: just the fact that he was the only one charge.
- 18:28Speaker 1: Nobody else's charged with anything.
- 18:32Speaker 6: So yeah, I think that that was the main strange
- 18:40Speaker 6: thing to me looking at the video, knowing that they
- 18:42Speaker 6: had the media coverage that they had, because the media
- 18:45Speaker 6: played that video immily, and they had disortations about the video,
- 18:50Speaker 6: and you can clearly see and as the media reporter
- 18:55Speaker 6: was saying, is that you can see them aggressing up
- 18:58Speaker 6: on this young man, and you can see him immediately
- 19:01Speaker 6: trying to defend himself as it got to the end.
- 19:05Speaker 6: Outside of that, he was leaving and trying to get
- 19:07Speaker 6: away the whole time. And so based on just that
- 19:11Speaker 6: reporting alone, it troubles a person just looking at it
- 19:17Speaker 6: to say, hey, how do we get to the point
- 19:19Speaker 6: of charging him, How do we get to the point
- 19:22Speaker 6: of charging him when we see five or six people
- 19:25Speaker 6: aggressing upon him. You see one lady being kept back
- 19:29Speaker 6: and she breaks loose just to go get him. But
- 19:31Speaker 6: he's the one being charged. And so that is kind
- 19:36Speaker 6: of the reasoning for taking these stands on the media platforms,
- 19:41Speaker 6: because we do have to get people involved, outside of
- 19:44Speaker 6: your family and outside of your legal team, to be
- 19:47Speaker 6: able to put pressure on Ellis County, on the DA's office,
- 19:52Speaker 6: on the City of mid Lothian, on all those people
- 19:55Speaker 6: to do the right thing, and the right thing here
- 19:58Speaker 6: is to dismiss these charges and then charge the people
- 20:01Speaker 6: that that assaulted Christopher that day because they assaulted him.
- 20:06Speaker 6: They they they charged him. They kept him from leaving
- 20:10Speaker 6: because they kept surrounding him and they assaulted him, and
- 20:14Speaker 6: so those should be the proper charges. How is Christopher
- 20:19Speaker 6: doing these days? Is he holding up pretty well?
- 20:22Speaker 7: Yes?
- 20:25Speaker 3: So, I mean, given everything that's going on, I'm be lying.
- 20:30Speaker 3: I said my son was doing good. He's been struggling emotionally,
- 20:36Speaker 3: dealing with depression, not leaving his room, just over overly
- 20:43Speaker 3: heightened with certain things like my son, my son is
- 20:46Speaker 3: legitimately struggling right now. We have gotten therapy because you know,
- 20:50Speaker 3: so to help him through this. But you know, at
- 20:53Speaker 3: the end of the day, I watched my son.
- 20:55Speaker 9: Wait, you know, he lost a lot of weight. He's
- 20:58Speaker 9: struggling at the moment. He had a few meltdowns, So
- 21:06Speaker 9: were just pouring life into him and trying to keep
- 21:09Speaker 9: him encourage. We visit some trade schools and to keep
- 21:14Speaker 9: him busy because he did graduate it. He's done with school,
- 21:19Speaker 9: he's looking for work.
- 21:22Speaker 1: Well, look iffy on how.
- 21:24Speaker 9: That will play out for him and most definitely him Lothian.
- 21:28Speaker 3: So we you know, just get in the face and
- 21:33Speaker 3: people know who he is. Definitely can't work love and
- 21:36Speaker 3: regardless of where it works, is always still the chance
- 21:38Speaker 3: that somebody may recognize.
- 21:41Speaker 9: Always friends are enjoying their senior years and the guys
- 21:45Speaker 9: that attacked my son is also and you know, so
- 21:53Speaker 9: my son gets to that. Meanwhile, he don't participate in
- 21:58Speaker 9: any of it.
- 21:59Speaker 6: So yeah, I think I remember hearing about the bond situation.
- 22:08Speaker 6: I know you said that they had a high bond.
- 22:11Speaker 6: You guys were able to get that reduced down some
- 22:14Speaker 6: and you weren't able to get down.
- 22:17Speaker 1: So the bonds three and we played.
- 22:21Speaker 9: Yeah, I think it was. And so we had to
- 22:27Speaker 9: pay them that and so they didn't reduce anything. We
- 22:32Speaker 9: knew we had to get our son that.
- 22:34Speaker 3: Yeah, so given given, given, given the father's connection to
- 22:38Speaker 3: law enforcement, and just I mean stuff like this has
- 22:41Speaker 3: happened before. I wasn't about to risk, you know, halving
- 22:44Speaker 3: my son being a place where I couldn't be there.
- 22:47Speaker 1: We couldn't be there, and somebody wanted to do something
- 22:50Speaker 1: to what they could. Yeah.
- 22:52Speaker 6: Yeah, well, I just I'm troubled by just the willingness
- 23:01Speaker 6: of these organizations in the state of Texas because it
- 23:05Speaker 6: seems to be something that's not just hater to just
- 23:10Speaker 6: one moment. It seems to be a connection in the
- 23:16Speaker 6: state of this type of behavior and so and it
- 23:21Speaker 6: seems to always affect our young men and our young women,
- 23:25Speaker 6: and so we definitely have to step up and stand
- 23:29Speaker 6: up for you guys. I also know that you guys
- 23:32Speaker 6: have a go fundme set up a Gifts God Gifts
- 23:38Speaker 6: and go and so we want to make sure that
- 23:40Speaker 6: you guys give that out to everyone so that way
- 23:43Speaker 6: they could help and contribute for the different things, because
- 23:47Speaker 6: we know that this gets expensive with lawyer fees, with
- 23:53Speaker 6: counseling and therapy, just with everyday expenses, because you can't
- 23:58Speaker 6: do things differently. As you said, you guys, we get
- 24:02Speaker 6: death threats and different things that nature. So you have
- 24:05Speaker 6: to kind of redo and reboot your life and it
- 24:07Speaker 6: can be very expensive, and so we want to make
- 24:09Speaker 6: sure we give that information out. Could you give them
- 24:12Speaker 6: the gifts and go information.
- 24:15Speaker 3: Yeah, I was actually playing on the bottom of the screen,
- 24:16Speaker 3: but it seems to go to w ww gifts dot
- 24:19Speaker 3: com and if you just put in you can put
- 24:22Speaker 3: in Christophernien heist or justice for with the letter with
- 24:25Speaker 3: the number four Chris, and you should be able to
- 24:28Speaker 3: find it will have our family picture on. We all
- 24:30Speaker 3: have redstrats on.
- 24:32Speaker 6: Most definitely, most definitely we need to make sure we
- 24:35Speaker 6: uh get that out so that way people can help
- 24:39Speaker 6: because this can get expensive. It can get expensive. We
- 24:42Speaker 6: are praying that somehow this thing breaks that we get
- 24:46Speaker 6: the proper information because we do have some some four
- 24:50Speaker 6: requests in and I'm going to be working to try
- 24:53Speaker 6: to get that information that I requested because I requested bodycam,
- 24:58Speaker 6: I requested the the camera footage from the actual recenter itself.
- 25:05Speaker 6: I requested all of the information. Really, some of the
- 25:08Speaker 6: smaller information you think they would give you, like the
- 25:11Speaker 6: rest records, the bookend sheet. They wouldn't give me any
- 25:13Speaker 6: of that stuff. They said it straight to the AG's
- 25:16Speaker 6: office to cover it up because they know it's a
- 25:19Speaker 6: lot of flaws in it. They know that it's a
- 25:21Speaker 6: lot of things that they had to add and do
- 25:23Speaker 6: things because He should have never been charged that day.
- 25:26Speaker 6: He should have never been charged. He should have never
- 25:28Speaker 6: this case never went forward at the least, or at
- 25:31Speaker 6: the most, I would say they should have referred this
- 25:34Speaker 6: to the grand jury at the most, but instead they charged.
- 25:38Speaker 6: And it seems like that is a common denominator in
- 25:43Speaker 6: this case and the prima Anthee case and some of
- 25:47Speaker 6: the other cases here with Christopher, even with Tristan Weekly's case,
- 25:51Speaker 6: the young man that someone tried to deduct in the school,
- 25:54Speaker 6: they did the same thing. They're covering up the initial
- 25:58Speaker 6: paperwork to show their work and so people can't see that,
- 26:02Speaker 6: and if you get it, then they try to cover
- 26:04Speaker 6: up the videos, try to cover up this. And so
- 26:06Speaker 6: we're just gonna have to work hard. And the only
- 26:08Speaker 6: way we can work hard is getting it out to
- 26:10Speaker 6: the public, getting it out to the community so people
- 26:13Speaker 6: can work with us and work with you and make
- 26:16Speaker 6: sure that you, guys, are not alone. And that's the
- 26:18Speaker 6: most important thing, is to make sure you're not alone
- 26:21Speaker 6: in this. So people that have a little bit more
- 26:24Speaker 6: war with all than we do can force these people
- 26:26Speaker 6: to get that information out and hopefully force them to
- 26:29Speaker 6: dismiss this case, and then hopefully you guys can go
- 26:33Speaker 6: out and get Christopher to press charges against each one
- 26:37Speaker 6: of those people because they did assault him, and no
- 26:41Speaker 6: one's addressing that because he has that trauma that he
- 26:45Speaker 6: has to deal with of being aggressed upon that day.
- 26:48Speaker 6: Because you can see the fear in his face, you
- 26:50Speaker 6: can see the fear in his body and the way
- 26:52Speaker 6: that he was reacting, but you can also see he
- 26:55Speaker 6: was trying to protect himself and trying to fight for
- 26:57Speaker 6: his life as well. But he gave them grace to
- 27:00Speaker 6: retreat and they didn't give him grace at all. And
- 27:03Speaker 6: so we have to always make sure that we focus
- 27:06Speaker 6: in on that. What are some things that you guys
- 27:09Speaker 6: want to give out to the public that you guys
- 27:13Speaker 6: think from the bottom of your heart that they need
- 27:15Speaker 6: to know.
- 27:17Speaker 3: One thing that I definitely want to touch on is
- 27:19Speaker 3: the arrest Affidavid.
- 27:20Speaker 1: That was that was It's been flowing around that whole
- 27:25Speaker 1: entire arrest Affidavid is solely It's solely.
- 27:30Speaker 3: Information given by people that were either on the on
- 27:34Speaker 3: the you know, friends of the individual that got stabbed,
- 27:37Speaker 3: or bystanders that may have been in the park, whether
- 27:40Speaker 3: or not their information is accurate, whether they spoke to
- 27:43Speaker 3: those kids, and that's what they got their information from
- 27:46Speaker 3: and presented it. It was never none of that information
- 27:49Speaker 3: was ever given by Christopher or anybody that was with him.
- 27:52Speaker 3: There's so many inconsistencies in that, in that in that
- 27:58Speaker 3: arrest Affidavid that they use to serve the search one.
- 28:03Speaker 3: But that's just something that really needs to be put
- 28:05Speaker 3: out there because a lot of these people are reading
- 28:06Speaker 3: that arrest Abbi David and taking that exactly.
- 28:09Speaker 1: For for for the word, that's what it is.
- 28:11Speaker 3: And that that's the truth, and that's what happened, But
- 28:13Speaker 3: that's not what happened that even. Yeah, So that's just
- 28:17Speaker 3: that's just something that people definitely need to know.
- 28:19Speaker 1: I won't know if you have anything that's such a thing.
- 28:23Speaker 1: So that's that's one big thing for sure.
- 28:26Speaker 3: And that also that we this isn't like the first
- 28:29Speaker 3: time our kids have been attacked by a group of
- 28:32Speaker 3: white kids out of this happened, This happened when we
- 28:34Speaker 3: first moved here.
- 28:36Speaker 1: This isn't the first.
- 28:37Speaker 3: This isn't the first incident of racial stuff we've had.
- 28:41Speaker 1: Happened to us.
- 28:41Speaker 3: This is the first incident of targeted things, whether it
- 28:45Speaker 3: be issues with the midloathing police Department of Unfair Treatment
- 28:48Speaker 3: issues with the Midloathing Independent School District with unfair treatment.
- 28:53Speaker 3: This isn't this isn't just the isolated event. This is
- 28:57Speaker 3: just kind of the icing on the cake of a
- 28:59Speaker 3: lot of stuff that happened. We were already in the
- 29:03Speaker 3: process of trying to move Midlot, leave Midloathing because we
- 29:06Speaker 3: had already started to realize the culture of Midloathing and
- 29:10Speaker 3: what it is. And to speak on other incidents, we're
- 29:13Speaker 3: not the only ones that had had situations after the
- 29:17Speaker 3: situation happened with Chris. There was a family whose house
- 29:19Speaker 3: you can see a guy run up there, Porsche gasoline
- 29:22Speaker 3: all on their porch, along their like along.
- 29:24Speaker 1: The front of their house, lights and on fire, and
- 29:28Speaker 1: you can clearly clear he has a massing but you
- 29:29Speaker 1: can clearly see them.
- 29:30Speaker 3: It's big enough where you can see that this is
- 29:33Speaker 3: you know, it's a Caucasian gentleman.
- 29:37Speaker 1: Middloading Police department doesn't know anything.
- 29:41Speaker 3: All these people at doorbell camera suddenly nobody can find
- 29:44Speaker 3: this guy they had and I actually went over and spoke,
- 29:47Speaker 3: you know, I kind of actually developed a relationship with
- 29:49Speaker 3: the family.
- 29:50Speaker 1: Like I said, it is another black family. We kind
- 29:51Speaker 1: of developed a little.
- 29:52Speaker 3: Relationship, a little bit of a report, and you know,
- 29:55Speaker 3: he kind of updated me on We talk about things,
- 29:57Speaker 3: and he kind of updated me on his stuff that
- 29:58Speaker 3: was going on with him, on me that the midl
- 30:00Speaker 3: Ofthe police Department came to his house, inside.
- 30:03Speaker 1: His house and had the nerve to ask him, do
- 30:05Speaker 1: you think maybe your wife is cheating on you and
- 30:07Speaker 1: maybe her lover did it.
- 30:08Speaker 3: They were going out of their way, out of their
- 30:11Speaker 3: way to convince him that it wasn't a white guy,
- 30:13Speaker 3: that maybe one of your daughter's baby daddy's did it.
- 30:16Speaker 1: These are the things that they were saying that they
- 30:18Speaker 1: were saying to this.
- 30:19Speaker 9: Man to try to or they was looking for our house. Yeah,
- 30:23Speaker 9: just just it was they said a lot of crazy.
- 30:26Speaker 1: There's another family that had.
- 30:28Speaker 3: I think this was like twenty twenty three, maybe had
- 30:30Speaker 3: like schwashed the cubs go back to Africa, spread painting
- 30:33Speaker 3: in her house.
- 30:34Speaker 1: School school board member.
- 30:35Speaker 3: Wearing black face, but refused to recuse herself from the
- 30:39Speaker 3: school board despite community members protesting her still being a member.
- 30:43Speaker 1: Of the board.
- 30:45Speaker 3: Just my kids have never been called the N word
- 30:48Speaker 3: ever until we moved out here. And it's it's a
- 30:52Speaker 3: consistent thing and the thing that I've said before in
- 30:55Speaker 3: another interviews, historically, prior to you know, prior to maybe
- 31:01Speaker 3: twenty twenty, really Midlothian has always been a predominantly Caucasuan
- 31:07Speaker 3: Caucasian in town, right.
- 31:09Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 31:09Speaker 3: With the past maybe six seven years, ten years, there's
- 31:13Speaker 3: been a large influx of African American people moving out here,
- 31:18Speaker 3: and there's been a lot of clashing.
- 31:21Speaker 1: Back and forth, you know, people who and even.
- 31:25Speaker 3: In the comments with Chris when in like the Facebook
- 31:27Speaker 3: comments in Ellis County Facebook or Ellis County thing's a
- 31:30Speaker 3: Sheriff's department page, the Midloathan Police Department page, the comments were,
- 31:35Speaker 3: that's what happens when the demographic changes. If y'all hadn't
- 31:38Speaker 3: built the basketball courts, they wouldn't come. I hope he
- 31:42Speaker 3: gets gentle bent over a jailhouse bump. I mean, these
- 31:45Speaker 3: are the things that are coming from our so called neighbors,
- 31:48Speaker 3: because at the end of the day, they like to
- 31:49Speaker 3: present this all inclusive town, but they're still underlying there's
- 31:53Speaker 3: still underlying racial tensions that they don't want to address,
- 31:56Speaker 3: and they try to sweet stuff under the rug.
- 31:59Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 31:59Speaker 6: Yeah, and that and that seems to be the culture
- 32:03Speaker 6: of a lot of the smaller. Uh, yeah, it is,
- 32:07Speaker 6: that's the perfection. Yeah, yeah, you're right, you're right, and
- 32:12Speaker 6: and it's it's sad because that's been the direction of
- 32:17Speaker 6: this state for the past decade or so, even though
- 32:22Speaker 6: it is Texas and you know, hey, I'm a lifelong Texans,
- 32:24Speaker 6: so we've dealt with you know, different variations of things.
- 32:31Speaker 10: It has.
- 32:39Speaker 6: Mm hmm.
- 32:46Speaker 10: Yeah, right, yeah, m hm.
- 33:20Speaker 9: M hm.
- 33:31Speaker 8: Make me want to fight for the individuals that are
- 33:34Speaker 8: there because it should not be happening, should not be
- 33:37Speaker 8: definitely right.
- 33:38Speaker 6: And that's and that's what this thing is about. It's
- 33:41Speaker 6: about filling those seats that get Governor Greg Abbot uh
- 33:45Speaker 6: promised to the private to the private institutions to keep
- 33:49Speaker 6: them at one hundred percent capacity. And that's right. Yeah,
- 33:54Speaker 6: that is how we've got to go.
- 33:57Speaker 8: Why that's why it's very important that we are taking
- 34:02Speaker 8: our rightful places, that we are going to these meetings,
- 34:04Speaker 8: even though they don't want us there. It's it's time
- 34:06Speaker 8: for us to go sit in there and see what
- 34:08Speaker 8: they're talking about. They can't deny us. Have to go
- 34:11Speaker 8: in and see what these people are doing. And then
- 34:14Speaker 8: when these offices come vacant, we got to run for
- 34:16Speaker 8: these offices don't care if you ain't got no kind
- 34:18Speaker 8: of experience. They don't got none. They keep putting their brothers,
- 34:22Speaker 8: their sisters, their nieces and nephews, they uncles, and all
- 34:25Speaker 8: the tism that they use in these offices. It's time
- 34:28Speaker 8: for us to do it too. It's time for us
- 34:30Speaker 8: to step in there and allow our voices to be heard.
- 34:33Speaker 8: Because it's these local elections and these local offices would matter,
- 34:37Speaker 8: don't matter because they're gonna put who they want to
- 34:39Speaker 8: put up there in their presidency. But if you got
- 34:42Speaker 8: people that you got people that's fighting on the local level,
- 34:45Speaker 8: and then county wide, state wide, and then you sitting
- 34:49Speaker 8: on these seats in Congress and in the Senate, then
- 34:53Speaker 8: you can make the change. Then we can see change
- 34:59Speaker 8: coming together. And it's going to take all of us
- 35:01Speaker 8: putting our foot down and saying enough is enough.
- 35:04Speaker 6: And that's what that's what it is. We have to
- 35:11Speaker 6: protect our babies. We have to get them in a
- 35:13Speaker 6: position to where they're able to stand up against this
- 35:16Speaker 6: tyranny with us standing behind them, making sure that they
- 35:19Speaker 6: can stand up behind against this tyranny. And that's what
- 35:22Speaker 6: it's all about. We have to stand firm and protect Christopher,
- 35:26Speaker 6: protect these young people that are out here facing these
- 35:30Speaker 6: moments and get them out of it, and then protect
- 35:32Speaker 6: the ones they're trying to get into that same trap.
- 35:34Speaker 6: And that's by as Sis said, we have to make
- 35:37Speaker 6: sure we start changing these laws running for these offices,
- 35:40Speaker 6: going to stand up in these these city council medium
- 35:43Speaker 6: meetings and school board meetings and the Senate needs and
- 35:47Speaker 6: hearings and go in there and start being the change
- 35:49Speaker 6: that we desire. We have to. We can't be fearful
- 35:52Speaker 6: of it. But I definitely want to thank you guys
- 35:54Speaker 6: for coming in today. We're going to have to make
- 35:58Speaker 6: a greater space as well for you guys again to
- 36:01Speaker 6: come in and update on this case. Hopefully we have
- 36:04Speaker 6: some news coming up in the beginning of the year,
- 36:09Speaker 6: because I'm definitely trying to get some things taken care
- 36:11Speaker 6: of in you guys favor, and so we definitely want
- 36:15Speaker 6: to tell you guys that we are behind you, We're
- 36:17Speaker 6: praying with you, but we're also working hard behind the
- 36:20Speaker 6: scenes to make sure you guys are good. I know
- 36:23Speaker 6: I don't talk to you guys at all, but I
- 36:25Speaker 6: am working behind the scenes to make sure that things
- 36:28Speaker 6: are good, and I get in contact with those that
- 36:31Speaker 6: do contact with you guys, because we definitely got to
- 36:34Speaker 6: see Christopher free. We got to see him able to
- 36:37Speaker 6: go on in his life and do things. Now we
- 36:40Speaker 6: know we still got to fight in Texas, we still
- 36:42Speaker 6: got to fight in the United States. But we want
- 36:44Speaker 6: that fight for him to be without that charge on
- 36:49Speaker 6: his neck. We want that to be free. We want
- 36:51Speaker 6: that to be dismissed. So he wants to deal with that.
- 36:54Speaker 6: But you guys, I want to give you guys an
- 36:56Speaker 6: opportunity to speak to the people before we leave. And
- 37:00Speaker 6: again I just want to thank you guys for coming
- 37:03Speaker 6: in today and sharing with us what you guys are
- 37:05Speaker 6: going through, because I don't think people really realize what
- 37:10Speaker 6: the plight of our kings and our queens raising black
- 37:13Speaker 6: kings and queens are going through in these small cities
- 37:17Speaker 6: in the metroplex. We just think the DFW Metroplex and
- 37:20Speaker 6: we say, oh, Dallas for Worth, Okay, everything good. But
- 37:23Speaker 6: we don't think about myth low tem We don't think
- 37:25Speaker 6: about Ovilla, we don't think about Red We don't think
- 37:27Speaker 6: about all these other different cities that are out there
- 37:30Speaker 6: where people are living and doing what they need to do,
- 37:34Speaker 6: but people around them don't want to give them peace.
- 37:37Speaker 6: So I need you guys to speak to the people
- 37:40Speaker 6: one last time and closing and just let them know
- 37:43Speaker 6: from your heart what you guys got going down.
- 37:47Speaker 1: Just say, everybody out there and we appreciate it.
- 37:49Speaker 3: Support y'all, giving the prayers, you know, the thoughtful kind words.
- 37:54Speaker 3: You know, it all means a lot to all of us.
- 37:58Speaker 3: We're fighting for our sons life, you know, fighting for
- 38:02Speaker 3: his future. We're fighting for the future.
- 38:06Speaker 1: Of our family as well, his name as well.
- 38:09Speaker 3: Self defense is not a crime, like you know, like
- 38:12Speaker 3: we said, the video clearly shows my son's attacked and
- 38:15Speaker 3: he defended himself as as anybody should in any type
- 38:19Speaker 3: of situation like that. Stuff like this has to stop it.
- 38:23Speaker 3: You know, it's becoming a continued problem. We as a people,
- 38:27Speaker 3: we as a community, we gotta get behind, you know,
- 38:29Speaker 3: each and every one of these situations, like you said,
- 38:31Speaker 3: applying pressure to these DA's, like you said, getting ourselves
- 38:35Speaker 3: in into these these positions, these opposites so we can
- 38:38Speaker 3: make a difference. I know I'm not gonna stop after this.
- 38:41Speaker 3: I'm gonna fight for my son. We're gonna fight for
- 38:44Speaker 3: our son but after this is it on end, because
- 38:47Speaker 3: that's gonna be another There's gonna be another Christopher, that's
- 38:49Speaker 3: gonna be another Carmelo, that's gonna be another somebody else.
- 38:53Speaker 1: And we're gonna get behind the fight the same way
- 38:55Speaker 1: people are fighting for us.
- 38:58Speaker 3: And just knowing you know these don't you know, everything
- 39:02Speaker 3: that is given is solely beings big to keep ours
- 39:07Speaker 3: from behind Boss in his defense. So just you know,
- 39:11Speaker 3: just keep that in mind as well, and.
- 39:16Speaker 6: Most definitely the most definitely, we're definitely gonna keep praying,
- 39:19Speaker 6: and I just want you guys to know that we're
- 39:21Speaker 6: fighting with you. And as a person who has been
- 39:25Speaker 6: in the system, fighting this system from the outside the inside,
- 39:30Speaker 6: I know what that looks like. And there's no reason
- 39:32Speaker 6: for someone that was defending themselves to have to go
- 39:36Speaker 6: through this moment, but he is. And so we know
- 39:39Speaker 6: that God won't put more on us than what we
- 39:41Speaker 6: can bear, even though sometimes it seems like that, but
- 39:45Speaker 6: sometimes it's a catalyst to something greater. And so just know,
- 39:50Speaker 6: just like with myself, they have pushed me into advocacy
- 39:53Speaker 6: more than what I was and so I understand now
- 39:56Speaker 6: throughout all of those testing trials of advocating for others.
- 40:01Speaker 6: I can just imagine what you guys are going through
- 40:04Speaker 6: being actually part of the situation. And all I know
- 40:08Speaker 6: is that this too shall pass, because we know we serve,
- 40:12Speaker 6: and we know whose we are, and we know where
- 40:15Speaker 6: we come from, being the kings and queens that we are,
- 40:17Speaker 6: and we're going to trust God that he's going to
- 40:20Speaker 6: make this thing come out in you guy's favor, and
- 40:24Speaker 6: that it's going to be a blessing that that young
- 40:27Speaker 6: King Christopher will be able to stand up and proclaim
- 40:30Speaker 6: and help others that effaced this moment just like he is.
- 40:34Speaker 6: Give him new purpose on top of the purpose that
- 40:36Speaker 6: he already had in his life to be able to
- 40:39Speaker 6: move forward. And so that's our prayer is that this
- 40:41Speaker 6: thing is released, this thing is dismissed. You guys are
- 40:45Speaker 6: made whole because this has put a rock in your
- 40:48Speaker 6: place and in your way that you have to climb
- 40:51Speaker 6: over for no reason. And so we ask God that
- 40:53Speaker 6: he make you guys hold, give you the peace that
- 40:56Speaker 6: passed all understanding that you're able to go forward this
- 41:00Speaker 6: thing as a family and stay that tight nucleus knowing
- 41:03Speaker 6: that God got you back. And so we definitely are
- 41:06Speaker 6: praying with you guys. We are covering you guys in prayer,
- 41:09Speaker 6: but we're also covering in action too, because we're gonna
- 41:12Speaker 6: definitely do what we got to do to help you
- 41:14Speaker 6: guys and to make sure that we are the support
- 41:17Speaker 6: outside being that armor around you guys. So I definitely
- 41:20Speaker 6: thank you guys tonight for coming in, and this won't
- 41:24Speaker 6: be the last. We'll reach out again and try to
- 41:26Speaker 6: get you guys in another time so we can kind
- 41:28Speaker 6: of get more into the webs and the weeds of
- 41:31Speaker 6: this case and try to see what we can do
- 41:34Speaker 6: to strategize to get this case dismissed. Queen Angela, you
- 41:38Speaker 6: want anything you have to say before we leave, Well, I.
- 41:41Speaker 8: Just want them to know that we are yet cheering
- 41:43Speaker 8: for them. I don't know if y'all know, but every
- 41:46Speaker 8: day I try to share something positive about your son.
- 41:51Speaker 8: I created this picture of him. It has his name
- 41:56Speaker 8: on it and he said self defense its side of crime.
- 41:58Speaker 8: I share that every day. I share some type of
- 42:02Speaker 8: inspiration encouragement, just to let people know that we are
- 42:07Speaker 8: yet pulling for him and Carmelo. These kings will not
- 42:11Speaker 8: get lost to the system. These kings will get justice,
- 42:15Speaker 8: and we are fighting for them. We are standing with them,
- 42:18Speaker 8: and we want them to know that self defense is
- 42:21Speaker 8: not a crime. It is not a crime. Want we
- 42:25Speaker 8: want our babies to make it back home to their families.
- 42:27Speaker 8: They leave their family safe and we want them to
- 42:30Speaker 8: make it back home to their family safe. So we
- 42:32Speaker 8: are here to provide a space for you guys. So
- 42:35Speaker 8: know that you guys are welcome here. Anytime you want
- 42:38Speaker 8: to come and share. There is gonna be a full
- 42:42Speaker 8: feature inside of the magazine that we're gonna talk about
- 42:44Speaker 8: your baby story. We're gonna share you know, a little
- 42:48Speaker 8: bit about your family and things that you guys want
- 42:50Speaker 8: the public to know and how they can assist you
- 42:53Speaker 8: guys on this journey. Again, we thank you guys for
- 42:57Speaker 8: stopping by and allowing us to share this story and
- 43:00Speaker 8: allowing us to be a part of the advocacy for Christopher.
- 43:05Speaker 8: So know that we are yet praying and God is
- 43:09Speaker 8: yet working. No matter what it looked like to us
- 43:11Speaker 8: in the natural, know that he's working. He's working behind
- 43:14Speaker 8: the scene because that's what he do. He's a waymaker.
- 43:17Speaker 8: So were good and I think so yeah, any time
- 43:24Speaker 8: y'all want to stop by, just let us know we're
- 43:28Speaker 8: always here. January is our break period, so normally you'll
- 43:33Speaker 8: see me on here a lot. I am the person
- 43:36Speaker 8: that's behind the scene. I do all of the production
- 43:38Speaker 8: over here on the network. So the hosts take a hiatus.
- 43:42Speaker 8: Their last show is going to be December the thirty first,
- 43:45Speaker 8: and they won't return until February the first, So during
- 43:48Speaker 8: that time, I have plenty of time to play with
- 43:50Speaker 8: the network. So if y'all want to stop by in
- 43:53Speaker 8: January and share y'all story and get it out there more,
- 43:58Speaker 8: y'all more than welcome to because because this one here,
- 44:01Speaker 8: once we finish here, I'm gonna upload it and it's
- 44:04Speaker 8: gonna be distributed out to about fifteen different platforms, so
- 44:08Speaker 8: people are gonna be able to hear it. So I
- 44:11Speaker 8: just tell y'all, just share it out. Just share it
- 44:13Speaker 8: out every chance you get, so people can hear of
- 44:16Speaker 8: what's going on, they can learn how they can give
- 44:18Speaker 8: to the Give Seeing Go again. It is running across
- 44:21Speaker 8: the bottom of the screen, but you can go to
- 44:24Speaker 8: give seeing go dot com backslash Justice for Chris and
- 44:29Speaker 8: make your donation. Donate to the family and show them
- 44:34Speaker 8: that you are rallying behind them because we all know
- 44:38Speaker 8: that when things like this happen, and especially with what
- 44:41Speaker 8: they're dealing with, that there are costs behind these things
- 44:46Speaker 8: and they need protection. They need to be protected because
- 44:50Speaker 8: I'm sure that y'all have other kids, right correct, Yes,
- 44:55Speaker 8: they have other kids that have to be protected. They
- 44:58Speaker 8: have other kids that have ne and wants as well,
- 45:02Speaker 8: So we have to make sure that they're okay, And
- 45:04Speaker 8: definitely have to make sure that Christopher's okay because we
- 45:07Speaker 8: know that trauma, a lot of trauma comes behind situations
- 45:11Speaker 8: like this, and even though we are strong people, we
- 45:14Speaker 8: do need help. So he definitely probably needs some counseling
- 45:18Speaker 8: and he's gonna need some ongoing things. And so this
- 45:22Speaker 8: is over and and and he says that he's okay,
- 45:25Speaker 8: so we have to be there to rally behind them.
- 45:28Speaker 8: So if y'all can donate, please donate as much as
- 45:31Speaker 8: you can, as often as you can. And if you
- 45:34Speaker 8: can't do anything else, you can lift up a prayer,
- 45:37Speaker 8: say a prayer, send some words of encouragement because every
- 45:41Speaker 8: little big helps, And that's how I got y'all. Again,
- 45:46Speaker 8: Thank y'all for stopping by and sharing.
- 45:50Speaker 1: Opportunity.
- 45:51Speaker 3: Most definitely, just appreciate everything you all have been doing
- 45:54Speaker 3: viron the scenes, and you know it means a lot
- 45:57Speaker 3: to us.
- 46:00Speaker 6: It was definitely we definitely appreciate you guys, and to
