- 0:02Speaker 1: Hi, guys, this is Teddy Mellencamp and I'm joined by
- 0:04Speaker 1: my friend Emily Simpson for our new spin off show
- 0:08Speaker 1: hopping Off, where we are digging deep on this season
- 0:12Speaker 1: of Banner Pump Rules. Hi, welcome to another episode of
- 0:16Speaker 1: Hopping Off with Teddy Mellencamp and.
- 0:19Speaker 2: And Emily Simpson. Next time, I'm going to say my
- 0:21Speaker 2: name first. Just want to let you know you can
- 0:24Speaker 2: take the lead next time.
- 0:25Speaker 1: I mean, this time, I feel like it's a double
- 0:28Speaker 1: wind for me because I'm in Mexico overlooking this beautiful.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Water I know, and I'm in rain in Orange County.
- 0:36Speaker 2: So really you should have let me do that because
- 0:38Speaker 2: you should throw me a bone when I'm in Orange
- 0:41Speaker 2: County in the rain.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Yeah I should. But I hope you're enjoying the rain
- 0:46Speaker 1: and you're probably off to go film today. But something
- 0:48Speaker 1: we need to address right at the beginning of the
- 0:50Speaker 1: podcast is, y'all, we know and understand that Tom Schwartz
- 0:56Speaker 1: is name Tom.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Schwartz or I know you guys think we're idiots, but
- 1:01Speaker 2: we're not that big of idiots.
- 1:03Speaker 1: We clearly know his name is Schwartz. We just have
- 1:07Speaker 1: made a conscious decision that for the duration of this
- 1:11Speaker 1: podcast popping off, we are going to refer to Tom
- 1:14Speaker 1: as shorts, so we either get with it or get out.
- 1:18Speaker 1: If you don't realize that we're making a joke, it
- 1:21Speaker 1: just blows off the tongue a little better, and it
- 1:24Speaker 1: actually quite suits him, especially now that he's on his
- 1:26Speaker 1: sober curious journey. He's got a lot of shorts to
- 1:30Speaker 1: figure out. So, yeah, you know, I can't even with
- 1:33Speaker 1: that sober curio.
- 1:35Speaker 2: It is such a long name, a sober curious journey
- 1:38Speaker 2: for someone who basically is like should I stop drinking
- 1:41Speaker 2: or not?
- 1:41Speaker 1: And that's it.
- 1:42Speaker 3: Listen, I am not sober curious today. I have already started,
- 1:47Speaker 3: and it's a lot later here.
- 1:50Speaker 1: I'm wondering how I'm going to This is a question
- 1:53Speaker 1: I have that my husband's able to do properly. But
- 1:56Speaker 1: as seeing as you were recently photographed dancing on a bar,
- 2:00Speaker 1: I think you may struggle with. Some of the things
- 2:03Speaker 1: that I struggle with is how to astain an entire
- 2:06Speaker 1: day of casual drinking without being a mess at the
- 2:10Speaker 1: end of the day.
- 2:11Speaker 2: I'd see I don't drink during the day, I only
- 2:14Speaker 2: drink random.
- 2:16Speaker 1: You wouldn't like on a housewipe. Like for example, I
- 2:19Speaker 1: would leave this and go right to like the first
- 2:23Speaker 1: like pool party blah blah blah that my husband's having
- 2:26Speaker 1: for his work thing. So it's like, how do I
- 2:29Speaker 1: keep the momentum going going? Okay, right now?
- 2:32Speaker 2: I could take a little nappy poo. Yeah, Well you
- 2:35Speaker 2: have to either stop drinking completely and eat some food
- 2:38Speaker 2: or you have to just drink continuously the whole day.
- 2:41Speaker 1: You just can't stop. Well, this could be rough, This
- 2:45Speaker 1: could go poorly for me, This could end poorly. We
- 2:50Speaker 1: had boots on the ground, people focusing their information on
- 2:57Speaker 1: getting us some additional details because something about her is
- 3:02Speaker 1: still all over the world wide.
- 3:03Speaker 3: Webs It is something about nothing. It is.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Something about There is nothing about her. There is nothing
- 3:13Speaker 1: about her that's currently and it's in its form. We
- 3:16Speaker 1: had one of our producers drive by.
- 3:18Speaker 3: It was Monica that drove by.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Monica's side producing cars from Salt Lake City and she's
- 3:25Speaker 1: in town and she decided to drive by. She also
- 3:28Speaker 1: is working on getting AT access to their security cameras
- 3:32Speaker 1: which are not hooked up.
- 3:35Speaker 3: But we keep seeing reports that it's going.
- 3:38Speaker 1: You know, they're on a slight delay, but something we
- 3:40Speaker 1: need to point out before we even get to delay.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Is they filmed that opening scene inside of this restaurant
- 3:49Speaker 1: that had a sign that had the little green square
- 3:52Speaker 1: out front to set all that is gone. Yeah, we
- 3:57Speaker 1: were told that that does not mean that this isn't opening.
- 4:01Speaker 1: We are told that the original restaurant or low thing
- 4:05Speaker 1: that was there was not permitted to have those items up,
- 4:13Speaker 1: so they had to take them down just outside.
- 4:16Speaker 2: So the items outside were not permitted. Is that what
- 4:19Speaker 2: you're saying, Uh huh, So they had to be removed.
- 4:23Speaker 2: So now it just looks like a desolate location. But
- 4:26Speaker 2: we're assured that there's something going on inside at your.
- 4:32Speaker 4: Point, This is what I'm being told according to our
- 4:36Speaker 4: producer who drove up up close and personal, we can't
- 4:39Speaker 4: with one hundred percent certainty guarantee there's nothing going on
- 4:43Speaker 4: past the blinds.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Because there's blackoutshades over all of the windows. So maybe
- 4:48Speaker 1: if you lift those up, there's an entire thing of
- 4:51Speaker 1: sandwich making going on inside. Right, speak easy. There is
- 4:58Speaker 1: a speakeasy here at this hotel, which is kind of brilliant.
- 5:01Speaker 1: You go in, it looks like a pharmacy, Like it
- 5:04Speaker 1: is a pharmacy they're selling all types of things, like
- 5:07Speaker 1: the full pharmacy, but then you go in it. It's
- 5:12Speaker 1: a pharmacia.
- 5:13Speaker 3: It's a pharmacia for pharmacia.
- 5:16Speaker 1: You walk into the pharmacia, and then in order to
- 5:18Speaker 1: get into the speakeasy, you have to use the code
- 5:21Speaker 1: word aspirin.
- 5:26Speaker 3: At least it's not mass.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Yeah, it's not heroin or crack or fiddle. But what
- 5:34Speaker 1: do you think the code word is for something about her?
- 5:37Speaker 3: Do you think it's it's shorts, it's a it's b LT. Yeah,
- 5:50Speaker 3: So we don't know.
- 5:51Speaker 1: This is what we're doing the best work that we
- 5:53Speaker 1: can because and also rumors Schwarts and Sandy's is supposedly
- 5:58Speaker 1: no longer going to be staying open.
- 6:00Speaker 2: I did see a little reference to that, but that
- 6:03Speaker 2: has neither been confirmed nor denied.
- 6:05Speaker 1: It's just a rumor, I guess at this point. But
- 6:08Speaker 1: the only other rumor that we were able to get
- 6:10Speaker 1: out of this rumor is that the guy who is
- 6:13Speaker 1: seen featured as one of the main dudes from Shorts
- 6:18Speaker 1: and Sandy's is a scientologist. I don't know what this
- 6:22Speaker 1: has to do with anything else, but that's what we know.
- 6:27Speaker 2: Wait, he's a partner. The scientologist is a partner. Oh,
- 6:31Speaker 2: there were some protests. Maybe the protests. Now I'm just
- 6:35Speaker 2: going to start making shit up what kind of protests?
- 6:39Speaker 1: I was about to be like, well, there were protests
- 6:43Speaker 1: and allegedly this guy's wife got arrested. Wait, we have
- 6:48Speaker 1: to go back to protests. You can't just say protests
- 6:51Speaker 1: and leave me yanging. Here's the thing. I don't know
- 6:54Speaker 1: what the protests were about. We don't know, we have
- 6:56Speaker 1: no idea what the protests are about. And also I
- 6:58Speaker 1: don't really need scientology coming after me. Yeah. I wouldn't
- 7:02Speaker 1: want that either, So I'm going to just zip it.
- 7:04Speaker 1: We don't know what the protests are about, but we
- 7:06Speaker 1: do know that's okay.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Wait, so there was a protest and his wife got arrested,
- 7:10Speaker 2: So now there's problems with the restaurant because of that.
- 7:14Speaker 1: That's according to really reliable sources aka TikTok.
- 7:19Speaker 3: That's what's going on.
- 7:21Speaker 1: That is where I get all of my information.
- 7:23Speaker 2: Whenever I talk about what's going on currently, I have
- 7:26Speaker 2: to preface it by saying I saw in an instagram.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Real. So, according to the sources at TikTok, this is
- 7:37Speaker 1: what we've heard. Other things. Everybody and their mother except
- 7:42Speaker 1: for us were at the People's Choice Awards. I was
- 7:45Speaker 1: wondering why we were invited. It was I mean, it
- 7:48Speaker 1: was weird. I mean not just because we weren't nominated
- 7:51Speaker 1: for anything. I know. I was like, what weird?
- 7:56Speaker 3: I don't see popping off anywhere around here.
- 7:59Speaker 1: I'm confused. But the Bravo series received nods in two categories.
- 8:04Speaker 1: Vand Pump Rules competed for Show of the Year. Gray's
- 8:09Speaker 1: Anatomy took home. How are Gray's Anatomy and Vander Pump
- 8:12Speaker 1: Rules in the same category. I know, I wondered the
- 8:15Speaker 1: same thing.
- 8:15Speaker 2: I was like, who was smoking crack when they put
- 8:18Speaker 2: them in the same category.
- 8:19Speaker 1: That makes no sense.
- 8:20Speaker 2: You're talking about a scripted show, and I don't get
- 8:23Speaker 2: a reality show.
- 8:25Speaker 1: It's I guess it's just the it's a show of
- 8:28Speaker 1: the year, so it can be any show. I mean,
- 8:31Speaker 1: I get that it's the TV show of the year.
- 8:32Speaker 1: I mean, y'all don't have our producers are.
- 8:34Speaker 3: Like, guys, it's the TV show of the year.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Yeah, we understand. But it's they're two very different I mean,
- 8:40Speaker 1: I guess they're not too different demographics because I watch
- 8:43Speaker 1: both shows, so I don't know. But then It also
- 8:48Speaker 1: was competed in Reality Show of the Year, but the
- 8:54Speaker 1: Kardashians won this category. That is surprising what the Kardashians
- 9:02Speaker 1: talking shocking?
- 9:04Speaker 4: What?
- 9:05Speaker 1: But no, who did win? Ariana? Yeah? Ariana won for
- 9:10Speaker 1: her part, she won for Competition Contestant of the Year
- 9:15Speaker 1: after appearing on season thirty two of Dancing with the Stars.
- 9:18Speaker 1: She also was up for Reality TV Star of the Year. However,
- 9:22Speaker 1: it was once again a shocker. Chloe Kardashian took home
- 9:26Speaker 1: that honor. YEA shout out to Chloe Kardashian. Okay, Chloe, Okay,
- 9:31Speaker 1: I'm just I'll probably get a little crap for this.
- 9:34Speaker 1: I don't really care, but are you really the Reality
- 9:41Speaker 1: TV Star of the year if something just happened to you?
- 9:46Speaker 1: Do you know what I'm saying? I I wonder now
- 9:51Speaker 1: that what we're seeing currently and the way Arianna.
- 9:55Speaker 3: Is acting, if she will be up for the same
- 9:58Speaker 3: She might be up for Least Favorite Reality Star of
- 10:02Speaker 3: the Year, reality TV Villain of the Year.
- 10:05Speaker 1: Yeah. This episode was hard to watch. It was really
- 10:18Speaker 1: hard to watch. It was multiple for multiple reasons. But
- 10:23Speaker 1: before we get there, there's an extra article Katie Maloney
- 10:28Speaker 1: on awkward and frustrating New pump Roule season. On the
- 10:32Speaker 1: Green Carpet, Katie admitted it was the most awkward, frustrating
- 10:36Speaker 1: season I've ever been a part of because just coming
- 10:39Speaker 1: off the reunion, it was just a few months later,
- 10:41Speaker 1: a lot of information was trickling in over a period
- 10:44Speaker 1: of time. I am someone that leads with integrity and
- 10:47Speaker 1: really my values and kind of moral code that I have.
- 10:50Speaker 1: That's where I'm coming from.
- 10:52Speaker 3: Okay, I don't understand that that was like a very
- 10:54Speaker 3: vague statement.
- 10:57Speaker 1: I think she's saying that she was being I mean,
- 11:01Speaker 1: I'm just guessing she's being Ari on his ride or
- 11:04Speaker 1: Die regardless if anything, because of her morals, and this
- 11:08Speaker 1: was so quickly off of it, she couldn't, I would hope. Okay,
- 11:12Speaker 1: let's just say this was me and you. Let's say
- 11:15Speaker 1: that Edwin cheated on me with someone we know where
- 11:19Speaker 1: me and Edwin are still living in the house with
- 11:21Speaker 1: a white noise machine and a lamp. Don't forget the
- 11:25Speaker 1: friendship lamp. Yeah, and the friendship lamp and all the things.
- 11:29Speaker 1: And then I move on. I'm now with Brad Pitt.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Things are going great, but I'm still very scorn by
- 11:39Speaker 1: the fact that Edwin's around, yeah, and now my assistant,
- 11:44Speaker 1: so I'm thriving in that way as well. But I
- 11:47Speaker 1: would hope you would be like Teddy get like, let's
- 11:51Speaker 1: move on here. You can be in his presence, who
- 11:54Speaker 1: cares like you're above this shit At this point.
- 11:57Speaker 2: I would, I honestly would. I would say, I know
- 12:00Speaker 2: what it's done. It's over. You can't change the past.
- 12:03Speaker 2: You're with Brad Pitt, so stop crying and acting like
- 12:08Speaker 2: a victim and move forward and get out of the house.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Move out.
- 12:12Speaker 3: And also, we learned a new word which I now
- 12:15Speaker 3: have forgotten it.
- 12:16Speaker 1: But oh, it's like the flu. I think it's squatting essentially,
- 12:20Speaker 1: like you're living in a place and not it's a.
- 12:22Speaker 2: Form of squatting, which right, yeah, I don't ever made
- 12:27Speaker 2: that up. I don't think it's a legal term. I
- 12:28Speaker 2: don't think I can go look up my California real
- 12:32Speaker 2: estate terms and frogging will be in there.
- 12:34Speaker 3: But can you shoot over a text to Gina and
- 12:37Speaker 3: see if she knows.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Why would Gina know, Oh, because she's a real estate aga.
- 12:43Speaker 1: I didn't. I'm saying I don't think it's a real term.
- 12:48Speaker 1: I think someone's got to be a real term. Everyone's
- 12:50Speaker 1: online saying it. But this is what I can't comprehend about,
- 12:53Speaker 1: the not paying of it all. If you are to
- 12:57Speaker 1: look at how much you are mortgage is, and how
- 13:02Speaker 1: much your cable bill is and how much your whatever
- 13:05Speaker 1: bills are, it's not that difficult to say this is half.
- 13:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't understand why there's a why there's confusion
- 13:18Speaker 2: that makes no sense to me. Plus you get you
- 13:20Speaker 2: get bills for everything, so all you do is divide
- 13:23Speaker 2: by two.
- 13:23Speaker 1: I mean, I'm not great at mad highlight it. Highlight them.
- 13:27Speaker 2: You're like, Okay, here's the bills for April bop bop.
- 13:31Speaker 1: You owe half.
- 13:33Speaker 3: It's not raps, I do believe.
- 13:37Speaker 1: And I granted I still don't share a bank account
- 13:40Speaker 1: with my husband, but I do not think unless you
- 13:44Speaker 1: have all of these types of details ironed out with financials,
- 13:49Speaker 1: that you should share a bank account with somebody you
- 13:51Speaker 1: film a reality television show with.
- 13:53Speaker 2: I think it's always going to get messy. And someone
- 13:56Speaker 2: that you're not married to.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Yeah, because then who really at what point? I mean,
- 14:02Speaker 1: I guess it could be considered you're in a partnership
- 14:05Speaker 1: after a certain amount of years, but not paying because
- 14:09Speaker 1: you're not sure of how the bills work. I just
- 14:11Speaker 1: don't know how that's going to pan out.
- 14:13Speaker 2: Yeah, but I really think it's not paying because you're
- 14:15Speaker 2: just bitter and you just don't want to pay, don't
- 14:17Speaker 2: feel like you are obligated to.
- 14:19Speaker 3: But even you're obligated to, Yeah, I.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Mean, if you originally were paying, you originally put money
- 14:25Speaker 1: into that joint account to pay from, you should be paying.
- 14:29Speaker 1: But we also heard not to only come down in
- 14:31Speaker 1: Ariana that they did some sort of I'm going to
- 14:35Speaker 1: get the wording wrong, but some kind of mortgage or
- 14:37Speaker 1: something they second financing of the house to help him
- 14:41Speaker 1: pay for shorts and Sandy's and all that kind of stuff.
- 14:45Speaker 1: So I'm sure there's other financial situations that aren't fully
- 14:49Speaker 1: coming into play. Well, it sounds very complex, messy and convoluted.
- 14:54Speaker 3: Correct.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Now we're going to get into the truth about vander
- 14:58Speaker 1: Pump rules conspiracy revealed. So when the it's not about
- 15:03Speaker 1: the Palsta and everybody thought they were thought they were
- 15:06Speaker 1: talking about coke coke, right. What we're told is during
- 15:11Speaker 1: a twenty eighteen episode of Bravo reality series, James Kennedy
- 15:15Speaker 1: and La La got into a heated fight about her
- 15:18Speaker 1: allegedly eating his then girlfriend's food, which led into DJ
- 15:22Speaker 1: infamously shouting, it's not about the pasta. Since then, many
- 15:26Speaker 1: viewers have speculated that it was word for drugs and
- 15:30Speaker 1: Kent and his best friend Logan Noah allegedly took from
- 15:34Speaker 1: Rachel Levis. Levis revealed on her podcast on February thirteenth,
- 15:41Speaker 1: Rachel Goes Rogue, also on an iHeartRadio, pasta is not
- 15:44Speaker 1: code for any substances.
- 15:46Speaker 3: It was really about the pasta.
- 15:48Speaker 1: You guys people thought, there's no way this is actually
- 15:51Speaker 1: about the pasta. She concluded, they can't be this passionate
- 15:54Speaker 1: about someone eating someone else's pasta. So it's not code
- 15:57Speaker 1: word for anything. But we can put that room to
- 16:00Speaker 1: bed now. So I have a question, is Rachel now
- 16:03Speaker 1: the end all be all of people we trust when
- 16:05Speaker 1: it comes to anything, whether it's cocaine versus pasta, whether
- 16:09Speaker 1: it's cheating or friendship lamps.
- 16:12Speaker 2: She just I guess the argument is she has nothing
- 16:17Speaker 2: to lose at this point, so you know, she might
- 16:21Speaker 2: as well be honest. I mean, she got caught cheating,
- 16:25Speaker 2: so why would you lie about pasta at this point?
- 16:30Speaker 2: I mean, I feel like I feel like at this
- 16:32Speaker 2: with everything that's gone on with her, she would be honest,
- 16:35Speaker 2: because how much worse can it get?
- 16:38Speaker 3: Well, drugs, I guess it wasn't about the pasta.
- 16:42Speaker 2: I mean I like pasta, so I can understand how
- 16:44Speaker 2: you could get that heated. If somebody ate my spaghetti
- 16:46Speaker 2: and meatballs, I'd be pissed.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Listen, if somebody ate my penny bowlonnaise that I put
- 16:52Speaker 1: the right amount of red chili flakes on and had
- 16:55Speaker 1: the right ratio of everything, I'd get annoyed too, right,
- 16:57Speaker 1: and it would be about the pasta. It would can
- 17:00Speaker 1: be about the pasta.
- 17:01Speaker 3: I mean, I like pasa better than drugs, so it
- 17:03Speaker 3: makes sense to me.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, I'm not interested in doing any cocaine,
- 17:07Speaker 1: but if you tried to take my champagne, it would
- 17:09Speaker 1: be about the champagne.
- 17:10Speaker 2: Right, Like I don't have addictive habits, Like I don't
- 17:13Speaker 2: think I could ever get addicted to meth or cocaine,
- 17:16Speaker 2: but I could eat.
- 17:17Speaker 3: Off the daily and not stop. So it makes sense
- 17:23Speaker 3: to me.
- 17:23Speaker 1: I get it well. Speaking of abuse, Kristen Dooty confirms
- 17:29Speaker 1: James Kennedy abuse allegations on her podcast Okay Kristin and
- 17:36Speaker 1: her boyfriend Luke were chatting on her podcast, Sex Love
- 17:39Speaker 1: and What Else Matters. When Luke joked that James' DJ
- 17:44Speaker 1: name should be DJ Beats Women Allegedly, Kristin fires back,
- 17:48Speaker 1: it's not alleged, that's exactly right. Fans point out that
- 17:54Speaker 1: Kristin has also punched James on camera, as well as
- 17:57Speaker 1: Jack's and Tom. However, Kristin defended that James had pushed
- 18:02Speaker 1: her into a bush before she hit him, but producers
- 18:04Speaker 1: cut that section out to protect James. Despite all this,
- 18:08Speaker 1: everyone is an agreement that this doesn't justify james behavior.
- 18:14Speaker 1: This leads me to the next thing, which is now
- 18:16Speaker 1: on this episode, we're seeing that James is not drinking
- 18:20Speaker 1: because there's something that happened three months prior. I did
- 18:24Speaker 1: the math. I can't figure out what could have been
- 18:26Speaker 1: three months prior to this because this was probably filmed
- 18:30Speaker 1: around July ish, so.
- 18:34Speaker 2: It would have been a March yes timeframe. Well, the
- 18:39Speaker 2: thing is, I don't know. Ali doesn't want to say
- 18:43Speaker 2: what it is because she doesn't want to talk about it,
- 18:44Speaker 2: but she tells La La that La Law should ask
- 18:46Speaker 2: him and find out what it is. So that makes
- 18:48Speaker 2: me feel like it's not something physical, because otherwise, why
- 18:55Speaker 2: would she encourage Lala to go ask him? And maybe
- 18:57Speaker 2: he'll be honest with her. I mean maybe it's just
- 19:00Speaker 2: rage in general. Yeah, maybe gets angry. Maybe I had
- 19:04Speaker 2: something with another woman. Maybe it had something physical. We
- 19:06Speaker 2: don't know.
- 19:07Speaker 1: We can't be one hundred percent because now with this timing,
- 19:11Speaker 1: I'm confused. But what I I think she's telling La
- 19:18Speaker 1: Lala to say something, but she probably has a touch
- 19:22Speaker 1: amount of anxiety and fear about bringing up whatever this
- 19:25Speaker 1: may be with James on camera.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that's true too. That's a good point. So
- 19:30Speaker 2: then if Lala does it, then La La can get
- 19:32Speaker 2: herself in trouble. But Ali wants to stay in the
- 19:34Speaker 2: in the clear.
- 19:35Speaker 1: What's going on?
- 19:36Speaker 3: There's a shade coming down behind you.
- 19:40Speaker 1: Hey, no one's even in there. How's this happening? I
- 19:44Speaker 1: don't know? Wow, Okay, well you have a new background. Now,
- 19:51Speaker 1: a new background. The episode starts, James and Ali are
- 19:56Speaker 1: hosting their first get together at the new house. James
- 20:00Speaker 1: admits he spent two thousand dollars for this pool party. Okay,
- 20:03Speaker 1: we've already talked about it. I'm not good at math,
- 20:06Speaker 1: but like his math his math is not mathing.
- 20:09Speaker 3: But twelve towels, three floaties, and a grill.
- 20:13Speaker 1: He bought.
- 20:14Speaker 3: The The grill alone had of costs, right, I don't know.
- 20:17Speaker 3: I've never bought a grill. It looked expensive.
- 20:21Speaker 1: I mean that, I don't know. It seemed like a
- 20:23Speaker 1: big expenditure for two thousand dollars. I mean the three floaties.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Maybe the little thing that you had to buy to
- 20:29Speaker 1: blow up the floaties.
- 20:31Speaker 3: Well, he had to buy the food and alcohol.
- 20:33Speaker 1: Okay, all right, did you see anyone eating? I saw
- 20:38Speaker 1: Ariana eating.
- 20:39Speaker 2: They showed a little clip of her eating something, and
- 20:41Speaker 2: I saw some burgers on fire.
- 20:43Speaker 1: Okay, Well, before that happened, Arianna and Katie go into
- 20:49Speaker 1: a lift and it happened to be the same lift
- 20:52Speaker 1: driver that took Ariana and stand of All home the
- 20:54Speaker 1: night of March first, when she found out about the fair.
- 20:58Speaker 1: The lift driver remembered bringing them home because they were
- 21:02Speaker 1: fighting about the affair in his car. So this is
- 21:05Speaker 1: the night he drops his phone, And I'm trying to
- 21:09Speaker 1: think that maybe this lift driver knows more about vander
- 21:13Speaker 1: Pomp rules than he's letting on.
- 21:14Speaker 2: Yeah, he's like, you look familiar to me. I think
- 21:17Speaker 2: I remember this house. Meanwhile, he has a whole like
- 21:21Speaker 2: Reddit page or something.
- 21:23Speaker 3: Meanwhile, he's a shrine of sand all in his home.
- 21:28Speaker 1: He's the guy that was randomly talking to James at
- 21:31Speaker 1: Santoval's party.
- 21:32Speaker 3: Yes, it's that guy, same guy.
- 21:36Speaker 1: But then Katie, Katie and Arianna are talking shit about
- 21:40Speaker 1: Shorts and his Tahoe trip. They have permits, licensing and
- 21:43Speaker 1: staffing to worry about for their sandwich shop. Well, apparently
- 21:46Speaker 1: they didn't worry enough because it ain't done. No, they
- 21:49Speaker 1: should have worried a little more.
- 21:51Speaker 2: They can't just sell sandwiches out of that floaty that
- 21:53Speaker 2: had their their sign on it, the signage that James
- 21:56Speaker 2: made for them. It said something about her. They could
- 21:58Speaker 2: just start making some sandwich and just float around in
- 22:00Speaker 2: a pool.
- 22:01Speaker 1: If they would have brought the sandwiches to this party,
- 22:04Speaker 1: it would have cost James less money.
- 22:06Speaker 2: Yes, and then they could have practiced. They could have
- 22:09Speaker 2: made sandwiches.
- 22:10Speaker 1: Held it out of that lit It would have been
- 22:11Speaker 1: a really good Instagram post too. Right. Yeah, but I
- 22:16Speaker 1: feel like from now on we just need to go
- 22:19Speaker 1: to Santa Monica Boulevard and just take lifts up and down,
- 22:22Speaker 1: down and see if we can find this guy. But
- 22:24Speaker 1: how do we find out more details about him? I
- 22:27Speaker 1: don't know.
- 22:28Speaker 2: You're just gonna have to throw it out into the universe.
- 22:30Speaker 2: He probably listens to this podcast. We for sure he does.
- 22:34Speaker 1: We could stand outside of shorts and Sandy's or something
- 22:38Speaker 1: about her, say our name is Ariana and see how
- 22:41Speaker 1: long until we get picked out?
- 22:43Speaker 2: That's right, let's do it, Okay, we have the time.
- 22:55Speaker 2: She and La La show up at Villa Rosa to
- 22:57Speaker 2: chat with Lisa. She wants to talk about Sandaval and
- 22:59Speaker 2: his depression. Sheena and Lala emphasize they're only seeing the
- 23:03Speaker 2: side of him that's not taking any accountability and projecting
- 23:06Speaker 2: his emotions onto others. Lisa tears up as she talks
- 23:09Speaker 2: about her brother's suppression, saying she will not let Sandoval go.
- 23:12Speaker 1: Through the same thing.
- 23:13Speaker 2: Lala admits she never took Sandival's mental health into consideration.
- 23:17Speaker 2: She doesn't want to be angry anymore. It's tearing her apart.
- 23:21Speaker 3: Is not that a song, It's tearing.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Me apart when I'm with you.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Yeah, Sheena calls Tom one of the best friends she's
- 23:30Speaker 2: ever had in her entire life. But it's forgiving Sandoval
- 23:33Speaker 2: worth it if she loses Ariana. So what do you
- 23:38Speaker 2: think would you be able to move forward if you're
- 23:40Speaker 2: Lala and Sheena?
- 23:41Speaker 1: Okay, well, well first talking about Laala. I did very
- 23:45Speaker 1: much appreciate Laala in this scene because all of these
- 23:48Speaker 1: people have done wrong.
- 23:49Speaker 3: They've all treated they've all done whatever.
- 23:51Speaker 1: I mean. At one point, Lala was eating Arianna's pasta
- 23:55Speaker 1: cooky so oh, yeah, it wasn't the pasta. Yeah, all
- 24:00Speaker 1: I was eating Arianas.
- 24:01Speaker 2: It also starts with a peed Oh it's not pasta.
- 24:06Speaker 1: We're not talking. It's not about the pasta. It's not
- 24:09Speaker 1: about the pasta. It was about the cookie.
- 24:11Speaker 3: It's about the cookie.
- 24:12Speaker 1: Okay. So, I mean they've all had these things happen.
- 24:15Speaker 1: But I think where Laala really kind of hits home
- 24:18Speaker 1: as she says, like, I was letting my emotions and
- 24:22Speaker 1: how I felt about my personal relationship kind of cloud
- 24:25Speaker 1: everything that's going on here, and I didn't think about
- 24:28Speaker 1: how he was doing because I was so angry. I did.
- 24:32Speaker 1: I felt compassion for all parties involved in that moment.
- 24:35Speaker 1: I had too. I actually cried during this moment.
- 24:37Speaker 2: I just want everyone to know that I got very
- 24:40Speaker 2: emotional during this moment. I felt like what Lisa was
- 24:44Speaker 2: saying really hit home because she was relating it back
- 24:47Speaker 2: to her brother who committed suicide, and she's saying, let's
- 24:51Speaker 2: I mean, how long can you continue to persecute stand
- 24:53Speaker 2: the bal At some point you got to let it go.
- 24:57Speaker 1: I think if they're going to continue persecuting stand of all,
- 25:01Speaker 1: there's no place for him on the show.
- 25:02Speaker 3: Like it has to stop. It's exhausting.
- 25:05Speaker 2: It is exhausting, and like you said, there is no
- 25:07Speaker 2: one in this group with clean hands. Everybody has done
- 25:10Speaker 2: terrible things to each other at some point, so why
- 25:13Speaker 2: is it that they all just continue to I understand
- 25:17Speaker 2: what he did was worse than anything else, but at
- 25:19Speaker 2: some point you have to just move forward. I mean,
- 25:22Speaker 2: he's been persecuted enough, not only by this whole group
- 25:24Speaker 2: of friends, but by the entire population in general. Like
- 25:29Speaker 2: how much are I.
- 25:31Speaker 1: Also think that people are This may not be the
- 25:35Speaker 1: right word, but people are scared of Ariana and Katie
- 25:40Speaker 1: of pissing them off.
- 25:42Speaker 2: I agree, And I don't know if they're scared from
- 25:44Speaker 2: a show point of view, where they're scared to say
- 25:47Speaker 2: anything against Ariana because of public backlash, Because I don't
- 25:52Speaker 2: feel like anyone's really saying what they really want to
- 25:55Speaker 2: say because they're worried about public opinion.
- 25:59Speaker 1: Or going back because they all went so hard before.
- 26:02Speaker 1: You know, like when you're really animate about something and
- 26:04Speaker 1: then you realize you may have been wrong, and then
- 26:06Speaker 1: you're like, shit, I'm going to look like a hypocrite,
- 26:08Speaker 1: or but how can you get a pass?
- 26:10Speaker 2: It doesn't have to be hypocrisy, though it can be
- 26:12Speaker 2: like in that moment, I was that angry, and now
- 26:15Speaker 2: that time has passed, you know, I mean, I don't know,
- 26:20Speaker 2: like you can't hold that amail the anger forever.
- 26:22Speaker 3: At some point you just have to move on and
- 26:24Speaker 3: let it go.
- 26:25Speaker 1: And I also think it the way that Arianna and
- 26:31Speaker 1: Katie and and I like both of these people, Like
- 26:34Speaker 1: if we were out right now, those are two people
- 26:36Speaker 1: that I would gravitate to.
- 26:37Speaker 3: They're very fun when we're together, but they kind of have.
- 26:42Speaker 1: This like RBS, like resting bitch face on them about
- 26:47Speaker 1: everything involving the whole thing, like and calling Sheena like, oh,
- 26:51Speaker 1: you're a flip flopper and you're this, and like those
- 26:54Speaker 1: words if you're very confident and you say those to
- 26:57Speaker 1: somebody who.
- 26:59Speaker 3: May struggle in that area a little bit or who.
- 27:02Speaker 1: I think Sheena's job is kind of always on the
- 27:04Speaker 1: line in Vandon Brumbles, like some seasons we see her
- 27:07Speaker 1: a lot and some we don't. And these two, like
- 27:10Speaker 1: you know, pivotal women from you know, last season, are
- 27:14Speaker 1: telling her what she has to do. It's gone a
- 27:17Speaker 1: weigh on you. It's kind of like a and I
- 27:19Speaker 1: hate saying it, but like a mean girl persona like
- 27:22Speaker 1: you either fall in line with this or you're out
- 27:24Speaker 1: with us.
- 27:25Speaker 2: Yeah, I and I feel like when you look at
- 27:27Speaker 2: Sheena and you look at La La, I feel like
- 27:28Speaker 2: they have more that they want to say, but they're
- 27:30Speaker 2: holding back.
- 27:32Speaker 1: Yeah. But Katie and Sheena have always had a tumultuous
- 27:36Speaker 1: relationship over the course of the show, and I'm assuming
- 27:39Speaker 1: we're going to see more of it coming out. You
- 27:42Speaker 1: know now that Katie and Shorts are both hooking up
- 27:47Speaker 1: with Sheena's babysitter, who was also talking about ozepic to
- 27:51Speaker 1: Summer Moon, which I thought was another strange thing this episode.
- 27:57Speaker 2: It's like, really, do we have like a little baby
- 28:01Speaker 2: doctor kid or something that syringe And she's like, should
- 28:05Speaker 2: I give her the zimpick?
- 28:06Speaker 1: I'm like, I don't know from all now that I'm
- 28:10Speaker 1: going back. She is really narrowing down the one person
- 28:13Speaker 1: she trusts with her kid. I'm not sure it's the
- 28:16Speaker 1: one that's making out with shorts Katie me and talking
- 28:19Speaker 1: about ozimpic shots to her two year old.
- 28:21Speaker 2: Yeah, but then but she doesn't really trust her because
- 28:24Speaker 2: then she has her sister come over.
- 28:26Speaker 1: Yeah, and then oh, but it gets heated at the
- 28:29Speaker 1: end when Rock brings up she Anda's mom, which which
- 28:36Speaker 1: we we got into a little bit last night. But anyways,
- 28:38Speaker 1: we get back to Schwartz's semi curious sober journey coming
- 28:42Speaker 1: to an end at the pool party. We're seeing him
- 28:44Speaker 1: doing things like is that really a journey? Is it
- 28:47Speaker 1: really a journey.
- 28:48Speaker 3: If you're just like I was, wondering if I should
- 28:50Speaker 3: be sober.
- 28:51Speaker 1: Nope, I'm not not today, not today, not today. Now
- 28:56Speaker 1: When I jump off the balcony into this five foot pool,
- 29:00Speaker 1: like that felt dangerous to me.
- 29:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I kept thinking someone is gonna get whiplash or
- 29:06Speaker 2: break their neck or their back.
- 29:08Speaker 1: And also don't jump too high because one of those
- 29:10Speaker 1: airplanes could have just easily be right over. But Laala
- 29:17Speaker 1: and Ali, this is where they talk about James sobriety.
- 29:20Speaker 1: Ali won't share what james reason is for quitting, but
- 29:23Speaker 1: said he may confide to Laala about it, which I
- 29:26Speaker 1: hate to be the bear of bad news. He has
- 29:28Speaker 1: not yet. And then James, but I love this, He's
- 29:33Speaker 1: so but he's just love the editing THHC and fused beverage.
- 29:39Speaker 3: Yes, while his barbecue is up in flames.
- 29:41Speaker 1: I I love the editors. They love to do stuff
- 29:43Speaker 1: like that.
- 29:45Speaker 2: It's like, let's let's talk about how he's been sober
- 29:48Speaker 2: for three months and how hard that is.
- 29:52Speaker 3: Meanwhile his gorilla is on fire and.
- 29:54Speaker 2: He's let's also, I don't know, are you can you really?
- 30:01Speaker 2: Can you really say you've been sober for three months if.
- 30:05Speaker 3: You're chugging to you? I'm not saying.
- 30:07Speaker 1: Yes.
- 30:08Speaker 3: They may be different.
- 30:09Speaker 1: They may like I am a different drunk if I
- 30:12Speaker 1: have vodka versus Margarita's, like I am not. I can't
- 30:17Speaker 1: drink vodka like it's I'm nasty, like no buoyno, Like
- 30:21Speaker 1: I know that's not a good drink for me. But
- 30:23Speaker 1: like if I have a couple of skinny marks, or
- 30:25Speaker 1: if I have a couple of glasses of champagne, I
- 30:26Speaker 1: can be somewhat tolerable, but I don't know if you're
- 30:30Speaker 1: having multiple I've had one THHC full drink and I
- 30:35Speaker 1: remember having a hard time like formulating words.
- 30:38Speaker 2: Yes, I had one of tameras and I couldn't stop laughing. Yeah,
- 30:42Speaker 2: so it's like you're putting on I put the hoodie on,
- 30:45Speaker 2: I like closed it over my face, couldn't stop laughing.
- 30:49Speaker 2: I mean it was definitely a different effect than when
- 30:52Speaker 2: I drink tequila or something like that. But your but
- 30:55Speaker 2: your mind influence, right, you're under the influence. You're still
- 30:58Speaker 2: there's still alters. You're still your mind is altered.
- 31:02Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a little questionable. But then La La and
- 31:09Speaker 1: Schwarts do have their heart to heart. Lalla apologizes for
- 31:13Speaker 1: her wrongdoings and Shorts apologizes for the way he slashed
- 31:17Speaker 1: out at her, But then he kind of keeps making
- 31:20Speaker 1: like flirtatious jokes.
- 31:22Speaker 3: Yeah, Like I mean it was you.
- 31:24Speaker 2: You're so hot, but just plutonically speaking, but you're really hot.
- 31:28Speaker 1: Like I make fun of your lips, but they are
- 31:30Speaker 1: the sexiest lips I've ever seen as a friend.
- 31:32Speaker 2: I you're the beautiful woman on the face of the earth,
- 31:35Speaker 2: but this is just a plutonic.
- 31:39Speaker 3: I want to bone your brains out if you weren't
- 31:41Speaker 3: my friend.
- 31:42Speaker 1: Could you take your bathing suit off forrgeous friend? Can
- 31:46Speaker 1: I get a whiff your cookie? That just for a second,
- 31:50Speaker 1: but as a as a brother type, so bizarre, but
- 31:57Speaker 1: it really it really was a lot. Then we get
- 32:02Speaker 1: into Sandoval and Billy Lee.
- 32:07Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, he deserves an Emmy for that.
- 32:13Speaker 1: One. I'm like, this is not a shock to you.
- 32:15Speaker 1: We all know you've been on Special Forces drowning yourself
- 32:20Speaker 1: and freezing cold water and getting yourself out of like
- 32:24Speaker 1: sunken helicopters with like a bag of money or whatever
- 32:27Speaker 1: it is, like wherever your excursion is. And now you
- 32:30Speaker 1: can't sit in this cold punched tub for twenty seconds.
- 32:33Speaker 3: It's intense. It's intense.
- 32:35Speaker 1: I arned every day you do. You're nuts.
- 32:39Speaker 3: I would never I have never done it. I would
- 32:41Speaker 3: never do it.
- 32:42Speaker 1: Well, now that you said that, you will the next
- 32:44Speaker 1: time the film popping off of my house, You're gonna
- 32:47Speaker 1: take a little dunk and then I'll give you some pasta.
- 32:50Speaker 3: I then I'll eat. It's all about the pasta.
- 32:53Speaker 1: Then he talks about how he misses Rachel. They haven't
- 32:55Speaker 1: talked in three weeks. He tells Billy what they had
- 32:59Speaker 1: was love and that's why he was addicted to it,
- 33:01Speaker 1: and he couldn't see anything else. He wants to give
- 33:04Speaker 1: their relationship a shot, and he's saving himself for her.
- 33:07Speaker 1: Billy looks heartbroken at this point. She's like oh, but
- 33:12Speaker 1: she tries to go Wait, he's saving himself means he's
- 33:16Speaker 1: not screwing other women? Is that? Yeah? Right now, he's
- 33:19Speaker 1: off the sauce. He's not just sober curious. He is
- 33:21Speaker 1: sober and he's not hooking up with other chicks. Oh,
- 33:24Speaker 1: so he's sex sober. Yeah, he's sex. He's sex sober curious,
- 33:29Speaker 1: sex sober curious. But Billy says, Tom, you're allowed to
- 33:37Speaker 1: be happy. You don't need to feel like this, and
- 33:40Speaker 1: then she's like, leans over for a kid, Yeah, she
- 33:43Speaker 1: wants to. Then, Shena tells Ariana and Katie about the
- 33:47Speaker 1: conversation she had with Lisa about easing up on Tom.
- 33:51Speaker 1: She says his thoughts and feelings he's having is because
- 33:54Speaker 1: of a situation he created, calling Tom I annoying. Annoying.
- 34:01Speaker 1: Sina starts to cry to the girls, reminding them Tom
- 34:04Speaker 1: was a great friend to her. Ariana shuts it down
- 34:06Speaker 1: saying every word that comes out of his mouth is manipulation.
- 34:10Speaker 3: Okay, can I.
- 34:11Speaker 2: Can I say something during that conversation, I was. I
- 34:15Speaker 2: was so annoyed with her, how she kept talking about
- 34:19Speaker 2: how manipulative he is while she's manipulating that entire group
- 34:25Speaker 2: into disliking him and staying mad at him.
- 34:29Speaker 1: And I don't understand caring if your friend. I understand
- 34:35Speaker 1: being if Arianna wants to be mad at Rachel till
- 34:38Speaker 1: the end of time, and I get her hanging out
- 34:41Speaker 1: with the group, I get it, But being mad at
- 34:43Speaker 1: these other women or his best friend remaining friends with him. Yeah,
- 34:49Speaker 1: he didn't try to kill anybody. He wasn't. He didn't
- 34:53Speaker 1: try to kill her. He didn't put her life in changer. Like,
- 34:58Speaker 1: I get it. It was a really shitty thing he did.
- 35:00Speaker 1: But like it's just like, let's dig into it. Ariana
- 35:04Speaker 1: is she has her You know, she has a right,
- 35:07Speaker 1: I guess, to completely cut off Sandobal, but they are
- 35:11Speaker 1: filming a reality show.
- 35:12Speaker 2: Well let's talk about she has a right to not
- 35:14Speaker 2: want to be around Sandoval, not want to have a
- 35:16Speaker 2: relationship with him, and not want to be anywhere near him.
- 35:18Speaker 3: Got it, great?
- 35:20Speaker 1: But then don't bother with him, maybe yes.
- 35:22Speaker 2: But exactly move out, and then you can't control everyone
- 35:27Speaker 2: else's relationship with him. You have to let each one
- 35:30Speaker 2: of those people have their own journey and get to
- 35:33Speaker 2: whatever relationship they want.
- 35:35Speaker 1: She has to let that go. It's exhausting. It is exhausting,
- 35:38Speaker 1: and the fact that we should still be feeling bad
- 35:42Speaker 1: for Ariana if she took a different route right now.
- 35:45Speaker 1: I feel like I would have empathy for her, but
- 35:48Speaker 1: because it's so like stank face, annoyed, yeah, manipulating, yeah,
- 35:55Speaker 1: and it's like, yeah, he all these things, he sucks,
- 35:59Speaker 1: but these are his friends.
- 36:02Speaker 3: And not for nothing. They were his friends first. Yeah, exactly.
- 36:08Speaker 3: Just to let it go.
- 36:09Speaker 2: It's so what it's when did she do the confessional
- 36:12Speaker 2: where she's putting the makeup on. I had to watch
- 36:14Speaker 2: that like five times. I was like, could you look
- 36:19Speaker 2: any more? Just like yeah, when she was talking about
- 36:23Speaker 2: shorts and she pulls out the mirror and she's like
- 36:26Speaker 2: dabbing her face the whole time, I was like, I can't, Well, you.
- 36:30Speaker 3: Can tell at that point she's hoping they're.
- 36:32Speaker 1: Not going to use that. She's talking to production, right,
- 36:35Speaker 1: but she's like just by point, I know and the
- 36:38Speaker 1: fact that they used it. I was like, oh, for
- 36:41Speaker 1: the loves. They're wanting to prove that you can't you know,
- 36:47Speaker 1: you can put demands on who you film with and
- 36:49Speaker 1: who you don't film with. They're saying, we're gonna.
- 36:51Speaker 3: Make you regret that day exactly.
- 36:54Speaker 1: Then James comes over to La LA's apartment and they
- 36:56Speaker 1: talk about a sobriety, how him and Ali got into
- 36:59Speaker 1: a huge fight while he was drunk amid the sand
- 37:02Speaker 1: of all Rachel affair, and he came home and she
- 37:04Speaker 1: was gone, along with their cats. He quit drinking in
- 37:07Speaker 1: twenty nineteen for Rachel. This was a little hypocritical because
- 37:11Speaker 1: he said he quit drinking because of the relationship with Rachel,
- 37:15Speaker 1: but this time he was doing it for himself. But
- 37:17Speaker 1: then he tells us he actually did it because Ali
- 37:20Speaker 1: left with the cats.
- 37:21Speaker 2: Okay, but what did they get He doesn't go into detail,
- 37:24Speaker 2: but what they got in a fight about right, it
- 37:27Speaker 2: was after the affair, But we don't know the details
- 37:30Speaker 2: of what they got in this huge fight.
- 37:31Speaker 3: About you mean in regard to Ali.
- 37:35Speaker 2: And yeah, when he left or she left and the cat.
- 37:38Speaker 2: I love that she took the cats. She's like, I'm
- 37:40Speaker 2: leaving and taking the cats. She's like, I'm going to
- 37:43Speaker 2: prove to you that I'm really gone, and so I'm
- 37:45Speaker 2: taking my favorite things about being with you, and that's
- 37:48Speaker 2: our cats, right. So she never says what neither of
- 37:50Speaker 2: them say what they were fighting about. So now essentially
- 37:53Speaker 2: we're in the same situation we were when things got
- 37:56Speaker 2: bad with Rachel, where he stopped drinking, said that's his
- 37:59Speaker 2: new thing. But my question is, if you have.
- 38:05Speaker 1: That side of you where you will fight badly with
- 38:10Speaker 1: your significant other when you drink, does that not exist
- 38:13Speaker 1: at all when you're not drinking. I find that hard
- 38:16Speaker 1: to believe.
- 38:17Speaker 3: I don't know, because when I drink, I'm just funny,
- 38:19Speaker 3: So I don't know. When I drink, I'm kind of
- 38:22Speaker 3: an asshole, but I'm I'm kind.
- 38:24Speaker 2: Of violent, but you know, I mean, I was like,
- 38:26Speaker 2: how was that a change?
- 38:28Speaker 1: Yeah? I was like, that's exactly like I'm an asshole
- 38:31Speaker 1: in general.
- 38:32Speaker 3: So that's my question.
- 38:33Speaker 1: Consistently an asshole, consistently an asshole, and I consistently don't
- 38:38Speaker 1: mind if people call me one, so at least I
- 38:41Speaker 1: can take accountability for my assho That's my question. Is
- 38:45Speaker 1: there really a huge change or if all least said
- 38:49Speaker 1: something to him that pissed him off or I feel
- 38:51Speaker 1: like made him feel less than would he lash out
- 38:54Speaker 1: in some way Virgie.
- 38:57Speaker 2: You're a drink and not probably. I mean he seems
- 39:00Speaker 2: like he would. He's got an ego.
- 39:03Speaker 1: Yeah, so that's I don't know, but either way, now
- 39:07Speaker 1: he's sober again allegedly for the time being. Then we
- 39:20Speaker 1: see Shorts and Joe at his apartment. Joe we never
- 39:23Speaker 1: got to see last season, although she came up in
- 39:26Speaker 1: conversation a lot because she used to be friends with
- 39:28Speaker 1: Christian Duty.
- 39:30Speaker 3: And Katie like all of it. They were all pals.
- 39:34Speaker 1: But allegedly he was hooking up with Joe and then
- 39:37Speaker 1: they moved in together. After seeing Joe cut his hair.
- 39:41Speaker 1: I'm fine with never seeing Joe again. I don't need Okay,
- 39:46Speaker 1: here's the question.
- 39:46Speaker 2: Can you have a whirlwind romance with someone and then
- 39:49Speaker 2: just be friends afterwards? I just don't see how that happens.
- 39:54Speaker 2: How do you be in love with someone and sleep
- 39:56Speaker 2: in the same bed with them and have sex with
- 39:57Speaker 2: them and then you're just like.
- 39:58Speaker 1: Oh, now we're just friends. How that happen? Because I
- 40:02Speaker 1: think the only way that happens is if one person
- 40:04Speaker 1: is completely done and the other one's still in love
- 40:06Speaker 1: with the person. Right, So my guess is Shorts no
- 40:10Speaker 1: longer's into Joe, and Joe's like, all right, I'll just
- 40:13Speaker 1: be here and to you know, make you change your
- 40:19Speaker 1: mind and you or you're no longer sober curious and
- 40:21Speaker 1: you come home tipsy one night and you want to
- 40:23Speaker 1: get it in. Like I feel like Joe's just waiting around.
- 40:27Speaker 1: But I think if both people have truly moved on,
- 40:30Speaker 1: it's probably because you really don't actually like.
- 40:33Speaker 2: One another at all exactly. That's why it doesn't make
- 40:35Speaker 2: sense to me. I just don't get it. Can you
- 40:38Speaker 2: think of an ex boyfriend that you were like madly
- 40:40Speaker 2: in love with and then now could you be friends
- 40:41Speaker 2: with them.
- 40:43Speaker 3: After high school?
- 40:44Speaker 4: No?
- 40:44Speaker 1: Like my high school boyfriend, we see each other out
- 40:47Speaker 1: and when we go home and there's not.
- 40:49Speaker 3: There's no like tension.
- 40:51Speaker 1: Yeah. Would you let him cut your hair?
- 40:53Speaker 3: Absolutely not?
- 40:54Speaker 1: No. Now would you let him like shave your legs?
- 41:00Speaker 4: No?
- 41:00Speaker 1: But like my ex husband, I was married before my
- 41:03Speaker 1: ex husband. When I first got with Edwin, we were
- 41:06Speaker 1: all friends and then once once Matt got serious with
- 41:11Speaker 1: his next girlfriend, she didn't like it and she was like,
- 41:13Speaker 1: y'all can't be friends anymore that Bean said we didn't
- 41:16Speaker 1: live together.
- 41:17Speaker 2: Still, yeah, he was like, he wasn't hanging out at
- 41:19Speaker 2: your house cutting your hair.
- 41:21Speaker 1: Alone like we would. We'd all be like, oh, do
- 41:23Speaker 1: you want to go to the salts I gets? Or
- 41:24Speaker 1: do you want to do this? Do you want to
- 41:25Speaker 1: get that? But it was because I really was done
- 41:30Speaker 1: and so I could do it. But I don't know
- 41:32Speaker 1: necessarily indifference. I was adding difference, yes, but I think
- 41:38Speaker 1: you know whatever. But between Sandoval's one lightning bolt earring
- 41:42Speaker 1: and Shortz's bare feet, the scene could not end fast enough.
- 41:48Speaker 1: Like all of it, Sandoval saying he doesn't forgive Lala
- 41:54Speaker 1: and Sheena for blasting them on their podcast, Lala selling
- 41:58Speaker 1: merch and both of them paved the way for the
- 42:00Speaker 1: rest of the world to treat him.
- 42:03Speaker 3: I'm like this part, it's like, Sandival, now you have
- 42:06Speaker 3: a podcast, like just.
- 42:08Speaker 1: Okay.
- 42:09Speaker 2: I actually I actually felt as if that was I
- 42:14Speaker 2: don't know.
- 42:14Speaker 1: I thought he had a point there.
- 42:16Speaker 2: They did because they have a public audience and because
- 42:19Speaker 2: they can't get out the information in a widespread way.
- 42:23Speaker 2: I do feel like there is an element of whatever
- 42:27Speaker 2: their feelings are whatever they're saying. I felt like it
- 42:31Speaker 2: was a valid point on his behalf, but also slightly
- 42:33Speaker 2: hypocritical because clearly he has a podcast and he can
- 42:35Speaker 2: say whatever he wants too, so they could make the
- 42:37Speaker 2: same argument. But I do think that there is an
- 42:40Speaker 2: element of validity in what he was saying, where they
- 42:42Speaker 2: did kind of set the tone for how everyone else
- 42:44Speaker 2: was supposed to feel.
- 42:46Speaker 3: But then Schwortz didn't make a good point.
- 42:48Speaker 1: He said, I'm nervous about Sandoval's behavior in tallahope, but
- 42:51Speaker 1: he's optimistic the trip will lead to doors to forgiveness.
- 42:56Speaker 1: I'm not super optimistic about that, like.
- 42:58Speaker 2: I know me neither, but I do he does have
- 43:01Speaker 2: a point, though, I mean, Sandoval does need to go
- 43:03Speaker 2: on this trip, and he needs to tuck his tail
- 43:05Speaker 2: between his legs, and he needs to stop arguing with people,
- 43:08Speaker 2: you know, and stop pointing fingers. He needs to be like,
- 43:11Speaker 2: I'm just up, I'm sorry. Can we move on?
- 43:14Speaker 1: What can we do to a question? Do we really
- 43:16Speaker 1: think Sandoval cares about being friends with any of these
- 43:20Speaker 1: people or he just cares about maintaining his position on
- 43:23Speaker 1: the television show. Once we figure that out, I'll be
- 43:26Speaker 1: able to compartmentalize this a little better. I don't know.
- 43:28Speaker 2: He and Sheena were always close. What do you think
- 43:30Speaker 2: do you think he wants to repair that relationship? Like,
- 43:32Speaker 2: do you think he's personally invested in that relationship? I
- 43:36Speaker 2: mean he's just a show thing.
- 43:38Speaker 1: I don't know. I mean I think he when he
- 43:41Speaker 1: came on to Teas in a pod and then we
- 43:43Speaker 1: did his podcast, we all like were in the same car,
- 43:47Speaker 1: and he definitely like, you can tell the seconds.
- 43:52Speaker 3: I hate to use this sword, but like triggered.
- 43:54Speaker 1: You can tell when something bothers him because he's like
- 43:56Speaker 1: has an immediate, like big reaction. But in his New
- 44:02Speaker 1: York Times article that just came out, he said, I'm
- 44:04Speaker 1: not a pop culture historian, really, but I witnessed the
- 44:07Speaker 1: OJ Simpson thing and George Floyd and with all these things,
- 44:11Speaker 1: which is really weird to compare this to. But what
- 44:13Speaker 1: do you think, in a weird way, it's a little
- 44:16Speaker 1: bit the same.
- 44:17Speaker 3: Okay, that makes no sense.
- 44:18Speaker 2: He went from OJ Simpson, which happened in nineteen ninety four,
- 44:21Speaker 2: to George Floyd, which was a couple of years ago,
- 44:25Speaker 2: and then he's comparing himself to both of those men.
- 44:28Speaker 2: Once a murderer. The other was a victim. So which
- 44:33Speaker 2: is he? Is he the murderer or the victim?
- 44:36Speaker 1: I don't know, but this is just things that he said.
- 44:38Speaker 1: But he should probably stop talking that he should have
- 44:43Speaker 1: stopped talking, start apologizing, and then let this move on
- 44:47Speaker 1: to somebody else's drama.
- 44:49Speaker 2: I feel like he's the ding dong that keeps prolonging
- 44:52Speaker 2: it because he keeps saying stupid things.
- 44:54Speaker 3: Because he wants to listen. And I'm a person that
- 44:56Speaker 3: loves to be right.
- 44:56Speaker 1: We know this, but I think he so badly wants
- 45:00Speaker 1: people to see his side.
- 45:01Speaker 3: He can't get out of his own damn way. Well,
- 45:03Speaker 3: that's stupid.
- 45:04Speaker 2: He needs someone in his ear saying you need to
- 45:07Speaker 2: just shut up and stop making comparisons and try to
- 45:09Speaker 2: stop trying to act like the viction.
- 45:10Speaker 3: What's told him that, well, over Shorts.
- 45:14Speaker 2: Yeah, he needs someone, someone that he actually respects and
- 45:19Speaker 2: would listen to.
- 45:20Speaker 1: Is there a person out there that could do that, Well,
- 45:23Speaker 1: Lisa vander Pump tried, but that didn't work either.
- 45:27Speaker 3: Oh, I guess there's no one. So he's clearly.
- 45:30Speaker 2: Is that, And maybe he is a narcissist. He's clinically
- 45:33Speaker 2: a narcissist. I guess allegedly. I feel like if I
- 45:36Speaker 2: just put allegedly on there, then I don't get myself
- 45:38Speaker 2: in trouble.
- 45:39Speaker 1: That's that's the way we go. But then we end
- 45:42Speaker 1: the episode. I mean, well, they're all going to Tahoe.
- 45:45Speaker 1: That should be a real except for Katie and Arianna.
- 45:49Speaker 1: They have a business to open, still waiting for my sandwich.
- 45:54Speaker 1: And then James thinks that he's going to talk to
- 45:58Speaker 1: Lisa about sand of all going to vander Pump Dogs,
- 46:03Speaker 1: but she has a surprise for him. And then it's
- 46:05Speaker 1: that she rescued Graham, the dog that James does to
- 46:09Speaker 1: share with Rachel. She starts crying instantly. I know, first
- 46:15Speaker 1: of all, I have so many this has happened so
- 46:18Speaker 1: many times with vander Pump Dogs. I'm confused.
- 46:21Speaker 2: I don't even understand what's going on. So Rachel took
- 46:25Speaker 2: the dog when she left.
- 46:27Speaker 1: When they broke up. She took the dog last season
- 46:30Speaker 1: or the season before, whatever it was. James would get
- 46:33Speaker 1: like visitation park visits with the dog.
- 46:36Speaker 2: Okay, so Rachel would be the dog. So then Rachel
- 46:39Speaker 2: goes to therapy in Arizona.
- 46:42Speaker 1: The therapy rehab place, but also allegedly the dog was
- 46:45Speaker 1: starting to act out. The dog allegedly kept biting people,
- 46:49Speaker 1: and then the dog bit her mom, and then the
- 46:54Speaker 1: mom gave him up. And then because why wouldn't my
- 46:57Speaker 1: mom reach out to James though, because James allegedly did
- 47:02Speaker 1: terrible things to his daughter, her daughter, so she.
- 47:06Speaker 3: Doesn't want the dog to go back to him.
- 47:09Speaker 2: Correct, So a foster family and a rescue a dog
- 47:14Speaker 2: rescues a better place.
- 47:17Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 47:17Speaker 2: I just I generally like dogs better than people, So
- 47:21Speaker 2: I was more offended by this whole dog situation than
- 47:25Speaker 2: anyone else treating each other badly.
- 47:27Speaker 1: I decide you badly for the dog. Well, I can
- 47:30Speaker 1: say this from personal experience. Lisa creating a storyline with
- 47:34Speaker 1: an abandoned dog feels vaguely familiar to me.
- 47:38Speaker 2: So you think Lisa reached out said bring the dog
- 47:41Speaker 2: to vander Pump. So it looks like I rescued the
- 47:43Speaker 2: dog and then called James to come and get the dog.
- 47:46Speaker 1: I'm sure that this was not. Whether the dog was
- 47:50Speaker 1: chipped and they found out where it was originally, I
- 47:53Speaker 1: don't know, but I am sure there was multiple hands
- 47:57Speaker 1: in this jar figuring it out. And how to pull
- 48:00Speaker 1: on James's heartstrings and get him to start opening up.
- 48:04Speaker 1: But Lisa says that she got a call that this
- 48:06Speaker 1: dog had been in a foster home for two months,
- 48:08Speaker 1: but he had bitten a few people and so he's
- 48:11Speaker 1: being given up to a shelter. Lisa rescued him because
- 48:14Speaker 1: she feels like the dog is meant for James. You
- 48:17Speaker 1: could see how happy Ali was about this decision when
- 48:20Speaker 1: you see that Graham starts to bark at the cats
- 48:23Speaker 1: that sometimes don't live with her and James. It was
- 48:26Speaker 1: a lot. It was a lot. That's where they end
- 48:28Speaker 1: the episode. I'm happy Graham is back. I don't know.
- 48:32Speaker 1: I guess with James.
- 48:34Speaker 2: Oh my gosh.
- 48:34Speaker 1: Well, here we go another episode of Popping Off. We
- 48:37Speaker 1: have finished and we will be back next week to
- 48:40Speaker 1: talk about all the additional things.
- 48:42Speaker 3: Thanks guys,
