- 0:12Ladies and gentlemen, this is the Church Guys podcast.
- 0:16I'm Brett. I'm the firefighter. I'm Quentin. I'm the student.
- 0:20I'm Craig. I'm the pastor. I'm dj, I'm the IT guy. And I'm
- 0:24Rusty. I'm the coach. And we are the church gu.
- 0:32Ladies and gentlemen, it is time once again
- 0:37off from a six month hiatus.
- 0:40We'll tell you about later. We are back for some
- 0:43church guys.
- 0:50Welcome back, boys. I'm glad to be here with y'.
- 0:54All. Mute my headphones on that one. Glad to be back.
- 0:57I hope you adjusted your volume to what
- 1:02you needed now. Good Lord, Russ. That's a huge water.
- 1:06Gotta fill up that big hydration. Pure hydration.
- 1:11I'm at the. You're feeling awesome. Feeling awesome for our listeners
- 1:15out there. He basically has a. A mini gallon. Yeah. Or not mini gallon.
- 1:19You might as well get one of those, like mini three gallon jug.
- 1:23It looks like you're upturning one of those, like, you know, little water dispenser things.
- 1:26The jugs that sit on top of. Why haven't
- 1:31we done this in so long? Dj, this is your fault. Was it
- 1:35my fault I don't show up? You're the host. I'm just the it
- 1:39guy. No, it's been since December
- 1:4321st was our last episode. So we're coming up on six. Merry Christmas.
- 1:47No, we already said that in the Christmas episode. Well, I wasn't here. Oh,
- 1:50okay. Make up for it. Happy New Year. We've had a lot
- 1:55going on in those six months. We are sitting in our newly remodeled podcast.
- 1:59Easy for you to say. Church room.
- 2:03Well, church room. Yes, yes. Slash for the church guys. Podcast room.
- 2:07So we went through a remodel in the church, which looks amazing.
- 2:11Very nice. We had some sickness between all the
- 2:15hosts here. Not that we shared it. We all had a sickness at some point.
- 2:19Good to specify. That's good. Sounding kind of weird.
- 2:24Am I missing anything? I don't know where your sickness was and. Just scheduling.
- 2:27Yeah. Just because. Scheduling. Tech stuff. Scheduling.
- 2:31Just the remodeling and it just. Well, you know, we have lives too,
- 2:35and it's just. It's just. It's just tough, you know, I mean, just school schedules
- 2:38in general. I work from home. Well, okay. Most of us have lives.
- 2:42I've become a homebody. It makes. It makes it tough. So we.
- 2:46I know. I try to try to cut out when I can to
- 2:50come over here, but it'll be a lot easier now. Oh, yeah, school's out.
- 2:54Yeah. Happy heat, everybody.
- 2:57Happy heat. We actually had our air conditioner break at the fire station
- 3:00the other day, so we all had to make a pallet in the office,
- 3:04and we slept three mattresses wide.
- 3:08It was. It was. Wow. Yeah. I'm glad nobody came in, but there was a
- 3:11mini split up on the wall that was actually working. Another guy slept in a
- 3:14gym. It smells like black mold in there. I'm glad that he got a taste
- 3:17of that. He was a new guy. It was awful. Freon was just hazing in
- 3:20the air, and I believe it's good to breathe. Oh, yeah, it is. So.
- 3:24Surgeon general says so. It was horrible. 82% humidity is what.
- 3:28Ouch. So, yeah, enough of me wanting. I'm in this nice
- 3:32air conditioning room right now. We had windows in this room.
- 3:35Yeah, we had them blacked out. Yeah, we had them.
- 3:40I'm just not noticing that. Let the light shine in.
- 3:44It is a lot brighter in here than it used to be. I like it.
- 3:46Yeah. You know, I know the air conditioner troubles because the last three years coming
- 3:50home from church camp, our air conditioner has been froze up. So we're shooting for
- 3:53four. If I get four, I get a steak knives from Aaron. Oh, there you
- 3:56go. Speaking of church camp acs, y' all
- 4:00make sure that that AC is going to be rolling outside next week because.
- 4:03Oh, yeah. Especially with how many we're taking.
- 4:06Yeah, yeah, it's going to be good. I might have to get some portable ACs
- 4:10rolling around in that thing. Going to be
- 4:15warm. Are we in a good dorm? Oh, yeah.
- 4:18It's been a long time since we're in a big. Yeah, it should be fun.
- 4:22We go cr. I'm gonna steal Brett's RV and crash in it. Yeah.
- 4:25Parking my RV out there.
- 4:29We got. We got a lot to catch up on. Let's see what was going
- 4:32on in December when we left off. Oh, the Aggies let me down. I know
- 4:36that. I know I was excited at that point,
- 4:39and then it was completely gone. But I expected it.
- 4:43Okay. I expected it. Let's just be honest. You made it. I've been an Aggie
- 4:46fan for too long, and I think I said that we were gonn at the
- 4:50beginning of the season and that we were going to fall off. I'm pretty sure
- 4:53those were my words. We did a little bit better than I expected. Yeah.
- 4:56Realistic expectations. Yes. So, I mean, you know, Thanksgiving,
- 5:00you know, it happened just the way I knew it was going to happen.
- 5:03The rest were paid off, and it was home.
- 5:07What are you talking about? So, yeah, that,
- 5:11that, that fell off pretty. But, you know. You know, NBA goes
- 5:15on. I haven't watched hardly any NBA. You know why? It's all
- 5:19about LeBron. And that's why I don't watch the World cup stuff. It's. The World
- 5:22cup is nothing but a field of LeBron. Oh, my goodness. He flipped
- 5:27his hair in my eye. I can't walk. They don't respect greatness,
- 5:31do they? Messi and Ronaldo, messy. What is
- 5:35he famous for? Making a mess? Famous for being
- 5:39messy. He's about to play a little bit messy.
- 5:42You haven't watched any of the games, have you? I can't. I'm. I'm literally nauseous
- 5:47because you had this one. They've. They've ran around this field
- 5:51chasing a ball for an hour and three days,
- 5:54and they've got one point on the board. This is horrendous.
- 5:59There's. There's no sport in this. All is. Cross country is more
- 6:03entertaining. At least there's a winner. Oh, boy.
- 6:08We had a lot of energy drinks today. I haven't had anything.
- 6:11It's my off day. I try not to drink energy. Hey, World cup is bringing
- 6:15us a lot of money right now, though. Let's not deny that. Bringing us a
- 6:18lot of other stuff. You know, I, I was bringing up
- 6:22some of that stuff. The only reason I know anything about the World Cups,
- 6:24we actually had a CE on it. Like they talked about it because they're anticipating
- 6:29all this. Yeah, we have a lot of people coming in, but what are they
- 6:32bringing? That's true. All kinds of cooties and everything else. They're kind of putting us
- 6:36on high alert for a lot of stuff. I love how you said cooties.
- 6:38All kinds of cooties. That works too. So they
- 6:42were kind of bringing in a lot of that stuff because evidently somebody was
- 6:48potentially talking about Ebola not too long ago. And so, I mean,
- 6:51there's. There's a lot of good stuff that we. I'll get to run and then,
- 6:55you know, I'll be on that ambulance and then I'll be locked up for a
- 6:58month. Oh, my God. It'll be coming out your house. Just think about it.
- 7:00There's a cruise ship just not too long ago. The haunted virus.
- 7:04But the Hantavirus, we know that. We know that comes from the Hana virus
- 7:08is not really communicable. China. It's from.
- 7:11It's from Chinese rats. Direct exposure
- 7:15to rat poop, man, that's it. Chinese rats. If. If you get quarantined
- 7:20we're portable so we can come to you. I won't have anything else to
- 7:24do. We'll see if they can't feed a mic cord and a cable a
- 7:28mic and a cord through the little slot in there and then we'll just burn
- 7:31it afterwards. Cuz I'm not touching it. But we'll get you in there. We'll zoom
- 7:34them. I'll take my EarPods. Be fine. Zoom them in.
- 7:37Yeah. College football, that, I mean it's always entertaining.
- 7:42Always. And Miami did pretty well. They had pretty well,
- 7:46man. They did good. So they, I, I, I'll, I'll, I'll be
- 7:50okay with saying that. A and M lost to a really good Miami team.
- 7:53I did not care for Michael Irvin on the sidelines.
- 7:57Oh my God. That was just a celebrity row. It was just making me sick.
- 8:01But whatever, it was fun. It was entertainment. It kind of added to it,
- 8:03to it. And the wind on that game was. Oh yeah, probably the worst.
- 8:08It was like. Yes. And it was like my drives.
- 8:13It was until the last quarter, I guess it was a quarter. They had to
- 8:16kick it towards the corner of the end zone to make a field goal in
- 8:19the middle. It's wild. The way those kicks were hooking is the way my drives
- 8:22were engulfing. Hey, but man, they've had a lot of stuff at Cow Field since
- 8:26then. The Bananas played down there and they had like 102,000 show up for that.
- 8:30They sold that out. And then they, yo, dude. Yeah, I'm telling they're real deal.
- 8:33And then I think they had some of the qualifiers or something for the World.
- 8:37World cup or something. They played down there not too long ago. So it's pretty
- 8:40cool. You know, they're, they're kind of opening up. And who did Texas University place
- 8:43did it have? Yeah, Bananas didn't play there. That's right. Did they play any World
- 8:48Cup? No, I don't think they did. No. They just had the state softball games
- 8:52there. That's it. Yeah, they said on their football field. We brought back some hardware.
- 8:55Field. Oh, we also brought back some hardware from Oklahoma.
- 9:01Back to back. Back to back. National champions Tennis.
- 9:04Let's talk about the Agus Championships.
- 9:08Back to back tennis. Back to back to back. Back tennis.
- 9:11Keep it coming, brother. Keep it coming.
- 9:14Talking R10 to your
- 9:18one. Back to back would be two way to
- 9:22count. Like kind of like back to back.
- 9:25Watch your people walk versus A and M. Back to back.
- 9:29Off back. Switch Women director's cups. Back to back.
- 9:33Golf. Everything back to back to back to back to back, back, back, back,
- 9:36back, back. I've never seen that. Go ahead, show that.
- 9:40Show that one to me. We clip the back to back to back to
- 9:44back throw. Give me 50ft in there with it.
- 9:50It's good to be back, back. Yeah, it is good to be back,
- 9:54that's for sure. It's fun. Yeah. Back to back to back.
- 9:58As long as this episode is not as bad as our first one, we'll be
- 10:01good, you know? No way we could go back before recording. There's no way
- 10:05we could go back to being that bad. Never back to back.
- 10:10Well, college football came to an end and then we're sitting here,
- 10:13we're stuck because who are we celebrating in the Super Bowl? Nobody.
- 10:17No, nobody. I was pulling for the Patriots. Like, that's just who I
- 10:20was pulling for. Wait, I forgot. Who was in the Super Bowl. Seahawks and Patriots.
- 10:24It was kind of a boring game. Remember we had the watch party. We like
- 10:27the sport. See, I don't even remember watching. Yeah, it was boring. Yeah, it was,
- 10:31it wasn't good. Yeah, but Seahawks. I wasn't going to cheer for
- 10:35them because they copyrighted the 12th man. And then they hung the flag on top
- 10:38of their stadium and everything else. This is our idea. And then.
- 10:42Yeah, so whatever. Then they got sued and they lost and then we
- 10:46actually gave them some leeway. So I think they pay us to fly their
- 10:50flag now. Really? That is funny. Well, not us. Why am I saying us?
- 10:53They pay A and M. I don't get it. That's funny. Yeah, they pay the
- 10:57church guys. I wish. That'd be nice. Nice? We could build a studio.
- 11:03But I was cheering for the Patriots. I, I. You know that quarterback man,
- 11:07Greg May? Yeah. I, I liked him. I thought he, I thought he
- 11:11could, but he couldn't do it. You seen that offensive line?
- 11:16He was running for his life the entire time, Man.
- 11:20It was not much of a running game either. I'm surprised they met it all
- 11:23the way. Yeah. After Seattle. Defense is legit, though. Yeah,
- 11:27well, there's an offense. Was too. They brought the whole game. And I'm
- 11:31happy for the quarterback, Sam Darnold. Darnold. He'd been
- 11:35passed around the whole. Whole league and. Yep. Kind of a championship. Yeah.
- 11:39And jsm. Yep. Rock wall. Way to represent.
- 11:43And he's the highest paid receiver now, right? He was at one
- 11:47point. And then obviously, you know, they always one up each other. Yes.
- 11:52When he signed, he was the highest paid. I have to look at that.
- 11:55I don't think he is anymore. Yes. Yeah. Well, I like the
- 11:59Sam Darnold story, I thought. Yeah, it was good. He's got A.J.
- 12:02brown now, too. Yeah. It's gonna be dangerous. Scary return.
- 12:06Yeah. And before we even got to the super bowl,
- 12:10we were talking about the theory of the image that the NFL released
- 12:13when it was Drake, May and Arnold. They're right there,
- 12:17closest to the trophy. We were talking about that in December. Yeah.
- 12:20And then you flash forward to the Super Bowl. Oh, they're playing in it.
- 12:24Another one of those NFL conspiracies. They always
- 12:28kind of show who's gonna be there. You know, it's not scripted at all.
- 12:34Well, I promise you, whenever. As many times as Old Maze
- 12:38back was on the turf, he. He wasn't signed on to that.
- 12:43Pretty sure his agent wouldn't have signed up for that either.
- 12:46So then we had Super Bowl. So where we go from there?
- 12:49Marsh Madness was. Oh, yeah. March Madness was good. Michigan. We even
- 12:53forgot to do our bracket this year. Yeah, we did. We were just. Yeah.
- 12:56There's so many things. It was one of those things that out of side.
- 12:59Out of when we weren't. And we weren't recording. Yeah. So we'll do it next
- 13:02year. Yeah. Yeah. But Michigan beat Yukon. Yeah.
- 13:05UConn had a good run. Yeah. Unexpected run. I mean,
- 13:09they did. They're always good, but no one expected them to be in the championship
- 13:12this year. They are good, but it's like, it's. It wasn't like the Yukon of
- 13:15old. Yeah. This. This team kind of reflected the old school.
- 13:18Yukon. Well, they're going for what, three in a row? Was Yukon going for three
- 13:22in a row? Two. Two. Two in a row. Two, three, seven. I don't know.
- 13:26Two. That means back to back to back to back to back. I heard that
- 13:28somewhere. I love it. Just like top tier.
- 13:32Top tier championship, baby. He's still getting
- 13:36paid. He's still getting paid. I always had to bring it up. I love
- 13:40how when that gets brought up, brother Craig immediately goes to shaking his head.
- 13:46That was one of our highlight episodes for
- 13:50all you new listeners. I think it's like episode 15 or something like that.
- 13:53I don't remember. But that will always be in the church. Guy hall of Fame.
- 13:58Absolutely. Still stand on it, too. It was one of Rusty's
- 14:02early ones right there, too. It's like his first. When you invited yourself and started,
- 14:06that was like his first one. Oh, wow. Oh,
- 14:10wow. Hey. At least he showed up. At least he showed up to the.
- 14:15First of all. I did not invite myself. I Was invited someone else.
- 14:22He ain't even here. Yeah, rolling. He can't
- 14:26defend himself. We're rolling. He's out sick today. Hey, that's what happens when you
- 14:30don't show up. We did not disinvite him. But we're just got
- 14:34that haunted virus on something
- 14:38you invite yourself to. That's crazy. He been playing in the rat.
- 14:44So we had that March Madness. That was a good. It had a lot of
- 14:47good games in it. It did. But Michigan from way better.
- 14:51It was. That was like an NBA team. It's pretty evident every single time they
- 14:55played. Every time it was. Yeah, they rolled. They definitely wasn't really even
- 14:58close till the final four games with them. And they still won by like 10
- 15:02plus, I think. I mean, they just. These outlasted teams.
- 15:06Yeah, they were just. They had that. They had that depth, though,
- 15:09where they could. Where they could outlay. Oh, they could grind you out and then
- 15:12still have 30 people to play. It's probably because all the videotaping that they did
- 15:16and. Yeah, yeah. Still signs.
- 15:21I mean, fared out good for the football team, right? Yeah. Yeah. And now the
- 15:25head coach, you know, with his problems. We can talk about that.
- 15:30Well, now we're in the heat of summer. There's nothing on but college baseball.
- 15:34At least there's college baseball. Hey, but how did Edgewood. Edgewood fared
- 15:39out pretty good in about three rounds, I guess. Yeah, three rounds. High school baseball.
- 15:42Yeah. I thought they went pretty decent. No, no, that they lost first round.
- 15:46Okay, thanks, Edwin. Girls.
- 15:51They lost first round. They won the first game in the series
- 15:54and then lost the next two. But our district was unreal.
- 15:57Yeah. The two teams that were in the top of our district ended up going
- 16:01to the final four. But they tried hard in small school and big school.
- 16:04What about tennis? They do get in tennis. I thought they didn't. We had.
- 16:07Yeah. One. Go to state. See there? That's. Yeah,
- 16:11I knew. How about the drama team? There's a
- 16:15lot of drama. Yes, a lot of drama. A lot of
- 16:20turnover at the state school. We had a lot. Lot of. A lot.
- 16:23We had a. We had a. A couple girls go to state and Emory
- 16:27and raise. They. They made it. They did good. I was proud. So,
- 16:31I mean, that. That's about it. Yeah.
- 16:35And here we June y. And not a
- 16:39lot going on. Hey. I'll say I was entertained, though. I was entertained.
- 16:43Thank God we have Trump as president instead of something else we
- 16:47could have had. Because if you look in June,
- 16:51it's usually celebrated as the. The.
- 16:54It's the fall of our nation. How about that? That's how it's celebrated.
- 16:58They don't even have the dead gum rainbow, right. They got six color. I think
- 17:02it's because of mockery. Okay. I think that's why they did it. And, you know,
- 17:05you look at any other administration, there's rainbow flags or whatever else hanging from the
- 17:09White House, but not this year. You look out on the front lawn
- 17:13and it's men covered in blood.
- 17:17UFC on the White House. That crazy. I know some people, they didn't
- 17:22care for him. I'm like, man, that was awesome. I loved it. Yeah,
- 17:25yeah, absolutely. Josh Hoket guy. Yeah.
- 17:28Hey, he made a comment that made some. Some news out there. Yeah.
- 17:32And. Which is not a conspiracy theory. Okay. He. He wore out
- 17:36that big boy. Ah. So that's exactly how I feel like
- 17:39if. If I wasn't knocked out within the first second, I feel like that's how
- 17:43I would be. I would drag. After 30 seconds,
- 17:47I was belly laughing. That sucker was so t.
- 17:51So tired. But every match, except for the last one, ended him in a knockout.
- 17:55Wow. And then the very last match was because they called the medical.
- 18:00I don't. I guess the corner technically threw the towel in, but medically he
- 18:03couldn't go in. And he made a comment, and he was an undefeated champion,
- 18:08I believe. And he made a comment. I heard him say it. Or. Or they
- 18:11talked about it in the. In the end of the first round that he couldn't
- 18:14see. And they're like, well, they're going to call it if he said something like
- 18:18that. And then I guess he was like, no, no, no, no, no, I can
- 18:20see. Or. So I don't know. He kind of went back on. It's a miracle.
- 18:23They. Yeah. So then they end up
- 18:27going four full rounds, and before they came out on the fifth, they. They called
- 18:30it, said he couldn't go back out there. Well, now his comments is like,
- 18:32yeah, so my. I think his right eye was completely lost in the. Right.
- 18:36In the first round, and then he can see in the second round.
- 18:39So, I mean, he would. Man, it was bad Herrera.
- 18:44No, he lost, but it was. I can't say his last name.
- 18:48Totally. It was the championship. Yeah, it was.
- 18:51It was the main. Main event, not the co. Main. And so
- 18:56it was. But it was good. And the guy that won,
- 19:00he. In the interviews, like, man, people's got to test my skin because
- 19:03it's tough. I don't even understand it. He's talking about. That guy just waylaid
- 19:08him. I Mean just was weighing into him. He's like, I'm. He was hurting me.
- 19:12I'm like, yeah, imagine. It was a good. It was a good fight. They had
- 19:16the Blue Angels and the Thunderbirds do a flyover. That was pretty. That was neat.
- 19:20Oh, that was cool. I'd have loved to been there. The live music was
- 19:24awesome, too. They had live music. They had all kinds of stuff going on.
- 19:28And I guess. I guess that was in the mall and then. No,
- 19:32they were at the orchestra. Well, no, I'm talking about in the mall,
- 19:35but he's talking about, like, they had, like, Zach Brown people out there. They had
- 19:39all this stuff going on. And then every one of the walkout songs was done
- 19:42by the president's band, whatever that's called. I can't remember. The Marine. Something. Yeah,
- 19:46and they. Man, they did a good job, too, because they came out with the.
- 19:49I don't know, the Brazilian music or Mexican music, whatever it was. They were singing.
- 19:53They did. They did great. It sounded good. What did you tune into the Democrat
- 19:57concert? I've seen some highlights. I would definitely not tune into it,
- 20:01that's for sure. Have y' all seen it? It's pretty. Damn.
- 20:04It's cringy. So they threw. They threw an anti
- 20:08UFC rally, I guess you could say. Yeah. Because. And everybody
- 20:12was against it. And, like, the one clip I saw, it had, like, these four
- 20:15golden girls up there singing, and it just sounded like they were strangling cats.
- 20:17We're gonna stop the facts. Bette Midler. That's who it was.
- 20:22Was in the middle of it, and. Oh, and then it sounded terrible.
- 20:26Oh, it was bad. I can mix audio, but there's
- 20:29no way even a professional engineer could have fixed it. Yeah, it was a
- 20:33lot like their politics. It was awesome. What's the music thing they use that they.
- 20:37So. Auto Tune. Auto Tune. Yeah. That wouldn't have helped. Auto Tune tried
- 20:41and it quit auto tuning. It started protesting.
- 20:46I'm out. Some people are beyond Auto Tune,
- 20:49but, yeah, that was. That was. I didn't watch it. I just happened to go
- 20:52through a reel on Facebook and I saw it. I was like, this is.
- 20:54It was real bad. It was real bad. And then I heard
- 20:58about it. Somebody was talking about on the podcast I was listening to today,
- 21:00and they're like, yeah, the. The anti UFC rally.
- 21:05All the servicemen and women like the ufc. And by the way. Yeah. You know,
- 21:09the people yelling about fascists would not know fascists if it bit them in
- 21:13the room. They can't define it, and they're the ones that are the fascists,
- 21:16they can't define a woman. Exactly. Yeah. You see
- 21:20them, go up to them and ask them, hey, okay, well, just tell me,
- 21:22what does fascist even mean? Yeah. Oh, you're being a fascist for
- 21:26asking that question. Okay, well, yeah, but what does that mean? Sure.
- 21:31But it was really cool in the arena, I think was mostly just
- 21:35servicemen, first responders. I know there's some Congress and senators
- 21:39and stuff like that in there, too. And then outside of it, that was like,
- 21:42you know, us common folk. But that was kind of cool that he opened it
- 21:44up. Now, I did see Dana White said, I'll never do this again because it
- 21:47cost him a bunch, I bet. And I'm sure he'll make it up.
- 21:51Oh, yeah, he made it up. The eyes on there and the numbers. Yeah,
- 21:54yeah, he'll make it. I'm sure he makes it up. That construction of the thing
- 21:57alone was just. That thing took like a whole month to build.
- 22:01Yes. I wonder if it's going to stay there for anything else. Like,
- 22:04I just wonder, you know, they're going to use it for the 4th of July
- 22:07for anything, you know, I don't know, maybe that'd be kind of cool. I would
- 22:11like the diplomats to come in that we have issues. They can put them out
- 22:15there in that ring. Maduro. Yes, someone said Maduro.
- 22:19And the Iran. Yeah. That killed. Yeah, you brought him over. Just.
- 22:23All right, y' all fight for the next nuke or something.
- 22:28That'd be good. Yeah. That's crazy. It was kind of neat. I I,
- 22:31there's a lot of patriotism in it, and, and I I for
- 22:35sure like that it was better than what they did last June. Yeah.
- 22:39If you cannot enjoy that, if you cannot respect that. Yeah. You got
- 22:43problems. Oh, yeah, I know. Well, it's all right to not agree with it and
- 22:47to still enjoy it. Yeah. They got somebody printed out
- 22:52all these different days that are celebrated. I mean, one,
- 22:56they tried to take over the whole month, and then what do we give?
- 22:59Just our just servicemen in general, you know, we might remember them on the 4th
- 23:02of July, but beginning of summer and in summer, and that's it, you know,
- 23:05I'm like, are you kidding me? And then what do people do to celebrate that?
- 23:08They usually just go out on a boat and inebriate themselves where they can't even
- 23:12drive the boat back in and call the fire department to come help them.
- 23:15Yeah, exactly. So, you know,
- 23:18it's kind of sad that that's, that's the way it is, but that's
- 23:22biblical, man. You know, at the end of days, good's gonna be good is bad,
- 23:26and bad is good, you know? So, I mean, it's definitely biblical. But I.
- 23:30I was happy to kind of see that we actually had some patriotism and sense
- 23:34of pride that I can turn on TV and be ashamed, so.
- 23:37And I'm not the biggest UFC guy I could. I couldn't tell you all this
- 23:40stuff, but I enjoyed it, man. I really did. I thought it was great,
- 23:42and I'm glad they partnered with Paramount. Plus, I don't have to pay per view
- 23:46every time I want to watch it. Exactly. That's been big. That's huge.
- 23:50I used to watch UFC all the time, but then, like, I wouldn't do the
- 23:53pay per view, so, like, when the main event would come off, it would cut
- 23:56off. Yeah, exactly. I guess I'll find out tomorrow.
- 24:00I mean, who wants to pay a hundred bucks for something if. In 10 seconds.
- 24:04Yeah, if the main event ends in 10 seconds. Oh, yeah. Ronda Rousey,
- 24:0717 seconds with Aldo.
- 24:10Yeah, yeah. 10 seconds. Yeah. I'm like, I don't. At least
- 24:14you didn't buy the tickets and get that. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 24:18That's even more money even. What is your VB whatever on this stupid laptop?
- 24:22Is it Dollar General? This is the dumbest sport on the planet.
- 24:26Are we circling back to that? I can't get away from it. Let's move forward.
- 24:30He's already celebrating, man. They've played for an hour and a half.
- 24:34He's just scored a point, so you
- 24:38don't even know what it's called. It's a goal. Not a point. Okay,
- 24:42A goal. Unit basketball. It a touchdown.
- 24:45It's going into the net. That was a good score, though.
- 24:48But that dude dove on out of the cross. Look at him. He dove
- 24:52out of the way on purpose to get the paycheck. What a joke. Look,
- 24:55Biden's there celebrating. All right,
- 24:59let's get this back on the rail. Is it the baseball game? Oh, I think
- 25:02it's the baseball. Sorry. The only thing worse than this. Well, no, I guess it's
- 25:05a little bit better. Is. Is basketball. Yeah. NBA.
- 25:08I was trying to cheer for San Antonio, you know, just try to. A Lone
- 25:12Star. I'm telling you. I know I'm weird, but I try to always go for
- 25:15the Lone Star State and these things, and, man, Wimpy, he's an alien.
- 25:19He's 112ft tall, and I just.
- 25:23Maybe he just doesn't have enough help. I don't know. But I thought that he's
- 25:27still young. Yeah. Still young. And they might put some support staff around
- 25:31him. I don't know. Knicks, they slammed them pretty
- 25:35good. Brunson. Yeah. I was going for the Knicks because I like Brunson. I like
- 25:38Brunson. Didn't he play for the Mavericks? Yes, that's why I was going. That's,
- 25:41of course, because the Mavericks give away everybody. He got
- 25:45dreaded by the Mavericks. They should have just paid him and.
- 25:48And. But. And just championship. I don't know if him and Luca would have kept
- 25:52it together, though. Maybe him and Flag. At this point, though, I'm glad Luca's gone,
- 25:56but let's not talk about that. Yeah. Because we got. We got Cooper.
- 26:01So it's for the American flag. Jalen was talking about how he
- 26:06missed Texas because he misses the attack. Taxes.
- 26:09Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. And now. And now New York with them down.
- 26:14New York is so. It's bipolar. Yeah. You know,
- 26:17like, you make your free throw. Yeah. And then you miss your next one.
- 26:20Then they're blowing up cars. Fire him, you know? Yeah. They're torching
- 26:25everything. Jeez. He missed the free throw. Let's go burn a cop
- 26:29car. Yeah. Yeah. These. Okay. Maybe the Nick fans need to turn on the World
- 26:33cup and watch the. At least Japan. Yeah. Can they even watch Japan anymore?
- 26:37Did it win? I don't even know. Okay. They tied, so they
- 26:40need to watch Japan.
- 26:44Jerry World, too. That was right here. Old Jerry World. No, they don't.
- 26:48How to keep it. If I was going to travel, I'd like to go to
- 26:50Japan. Man, what a way to be remembered. Like, they are
- 26:54such a respectful people that, like, honor is just one of their things
- 26:59that they strive for. It's a tradition. Yeah. They've always done
- 27:02that after World cup games. Well, just in general. I mean, I think if
- 27:06you go to Japan, it's a clean place. Yeah. It's just. They have respect,
- 27:11man. Like, I. I kind of wish that Christians had a
- 27:15name like that. That's for sure. And you go to. Out to these
- 27:20places where waitresses are after church on Sundays and they'll talk about how. Yeah,
- 27:24the church people are the hardest people to deal with and they give the worst
- 27:26tips. Sometimes it's like, golly, it's just. Only God's.
- 27:32Sorry. I couldn't help it.
- 27:36We had a guy that. He lives in Colorado and he.
- 27:40Colorado. However they say it. And he
- 27:43was just talking about how just that alone is just so different. People wave and
- 27:47smile, you know, and. And even, like, I would think Colorado would be like that,
- 27:51but it's a liberal, left leaning state, so all the cities
- 27:55kind of control it. And then who goes to Colorado and those big cities and
- 27:58skis and stuff like that? Californians. Yeah, you know, it's. It's like there's a.
- 28:02There's a friend of mine, he moved up to, to Michigan. He lives in that
- 28:05little, what they call the Upper peninsula, which is like the only Republican portion of
- 28:09Michigan. And he lives in a small town, it's a little bit bigger than Edgewood.
- 28:12And he's like, it's basically a place where you can leave your doors unlocked.
- 28:16I mean, when they first moved in, nobody knew them. Like they had nobody.
- 28:20And neighbors from like eight houses down the block.
- 28:24I mean, he said by the time they got, they had like a week's worth
- 28:26of food. He's like, we didn't eat because it was. Because marijuana is legal.
- 28:30No, people welcome them. Welcome to the neighborhood. Just bringing food.
- 28:36But I was wondering. You always gotta go there.
- 28:41But no. Something my wife and I were talking about. It's like you don't see
- 28:44that much anymore. That kind of, you know, just. Even here. I think even
- 28:48here it's getting worse. But it's probably just because people's moving in, you know,
- 28:51cultures are changing. It's kind of sad, you know, it's kind of sad.
- 28:55There's. There's a lot of people don't even know how to tip, you know,
- 28:57I just leave $2 every time. It's not even that hard. Oh my
- 29:02God. Well then though, you go to fast food, they're like, tip, tip culture now.
- 29:05They're like, even like the fast food places, even if you do an order on
- 29:10Dutch brothers, they're like, oh, you'd like to tip? Well, we went to. Was it
- 29:13Jersey Mike's and yeah. And it's like, would you like to leave a tip for
- 29:16like 25? I'm like, like, oh, no other no.
- 29:19Because it's like, no, it's not like a sit down place to eat.
- 29:23You know what I'm saying? Even though Brookshire's now that raise money for whatever cause
- 29:27you got, you want to round up. Yeah, everybody's doing that though. Yeah,
- 29:32it's all the same stuff. I'm going, no, I'm glad Chick Fil A hasn't joined
- 29:36that. I want to help church or something else that I can help. I'm not
- 29:39going to help everything. Yeah, you help me feel bad either, which is crazy.
- 29:42In brochures. Like you can't tip Tip the guys that help take stuff out?
- 29:45No, because if they take it, they'll get fired. Yeah, but then they can ask
- 29:49you that at the register. How does that make sense? Because I. I didn't
- 29:54know that. And I tried to tip a kid one time and he was like,
- 29:56I can't take. I was like, man, just take it. He's like, I can't take
- 29:58it. I mean, it was like 20 bucks. I was like, he. I was like,
- 30:00is that too much? I got a five. He's like, no, I can't take it.
- 30:02And then like, he did this, like, quick look around to make sure nobody was
- 30:05watching. He's like, I'll get fired if I take that. Yeah. Oh, my bad,
- 30:08dude. I didn't know that. Yeah, I know a guy worked there too. And I
- 30:11mean, yeah, I did. I worked
- 30:15there in high school, which is it. It doesn't seem right that
- 30:19you can't. I mean, because especially like nowadays when it's 9, 000 degrees outside and
- 30:23you got two buggy fulls and the economy the way it is, if someone's trying
- 30:26to bless you, let them bless you. I tell you. Hey, if you're trying to
- 30:29bless us, please, like, follow and subscribe. We will take
- 30:33donations a little more. We don't have
- 30:37a Venmo. Trying to get some chairs. Right. We'll take a
- 30:41little fun said these uncomfortable plastic ones. Maybe talk
- 30:46real quick about the Brendan Sorsby thing. Yeah, I'm reading that right now.
- 30:50Hey, there you go. Leave us off. I'm so sick. What do you think about
- 30:53the matter? I mean, he's obviously going supplemental draft now because of all the pressure
- 30:57that's been placed on them from ags of different states.
- 31:01Let's do this. Let's rewind. For those folks that are living under a
- 31:05rock and don't know what this whole situation. Maybe they're just waiting for us to
- 31:08talk about it. Maybe they're not living under a rock. Maybe they're not living in
- 31:11Texas. They're like. They're like, man, I wish the church got would come back so
- 31:14we could talk about this. I don't know what's going on. Well, now's your opportunity.
- 31:17Their number one source for sports information. They have no more sports information for
- 31:22six months. There's all right,
- 31:26big, big old money Texas Tech. Go ahead, lead us off. I was
- 31:30just leading it in. What was the lead in? You didn't say anything about it.
- 31:34You just said so essentially Brennan stores be transferred from Cincinnati.
- 31:39Right? Go back to the beginning and
- 31:44then he went to. Oh, okay, I forgot he was at Indiana. No, that's where
- 31:47it started. That's where it started. Like 9,000 bets.
- 31:50Put in. 9,000 bets. Why?
- 31:54$90,000. Yes.
- 31:57This ain't like a couple bets. Yeah, 9,000 Texas Tech.
- 32:01Tried to. Kept saying. Oh, he just met it a few times. He didn't bet
- 32:04here. No, he did too. But $90,000 is like.
- 32:07Like a house. Went to Cincinnati, got the play.
- 32:10It is part of a house. Yeah, part of a house
- 32:14now. DJ, probably DJs house. DJ has a 200, 000 house.
- 32:18I'll say my house, too, if you don't mind. Contact Row.
- 32:22Yeah, contact Roland. Heck of a. Well, he hadn't sold it yet. I can't say
- 32:26he's a good realtor.
- 32:30Roland, I'll send you the bill for the free advertisement. Yeah,
- 32:33buddy. Anyway, so it's all
- 32:36around bets. So he went from Indiana to Cincinnati,
- 32:40ended up in Texas Tech. What happened after that? Because I forget. Well, he plays
- 32:44bets. $90,000 worth. The NCAA came in.
- 32:48Yeah, it was gonna be ineligible. Yeah, he was banned.
- 32:51And Texas Tech went shopping around for judges to
- 32:55put in a court after they sent him to rehab.
- 32:58Four of. Well, they're pretty much 30 days.
- 33:02He's. His mental health.
- 33:07He's got a gambling addiction. And his mental health,
- 33:10if he doesn't get to play football, is going to dwindle.
- 33:15But then he applies for the NFL supplemental draft,
- 33:19so his mental health must not be that bad. It's going to hurt his ability
- 33:23to make money and survive and those kind of things. What the judge said.
- 33:26Well, wait a second. There's consequences to things that we do, aren't there? Well,
- 33:30let's talk about the money being spent on these white collar
- 33:34lawyers to do that. We'll go back at the beginning again
- 33:38because I think it makes. It makes a world of picture here for us.
- 33:41First of all, while he was Indiana, he bet on games
- 33:45that he was suited up for. He didn't play, but he was sued up
- 33:49for. That's no big deal. He didn't play. Hold on now. Who knows who's
- 33:54going to play on a game and who's not going to play in a game?
- 33:56The players of the game. You don't necessarily release all that information to the people
- 34:00like you're supposed to. Like this person isn't playing. This person has a
- 34:04hobble knee or this hit it all week so that they can protect against.
- 34:07It's called insider trading that people get indicted
- 34:11for. If you're not sitting
- 34:16Congressman. Well, he was making in game bets too as the game was going.
- 34:20Really? He was sitting on, he was sitting on the sideline making
- 34:23my. Through family members or friends, that kind of deal. And he
- 34:27wasn't old enough. He wasn't old enough. You got to be 21.
- 34:30Yes. That even with like the DFS, which is legal,
- 34:34like in Texas where you're able to bet on somebody scores a touchdown,
- 34:37something like that. He was betting on stuff like that. That's what I was about
- 34:41to, that's what I was about to bring up. And if you're doing. He knows
- 34:44what plays are about to be called. He's, he's in there with the f.
- 34:47Oh, you know what this about to be a pass.
- 34:50We know he's about to get 10 yards. Go ahead and put it in.
- 34:53He was in cahoots with the Michigan people. Right.
- 34:56Exactly. How long would it take to
- 35:00rack up $90,000 worth of bets in
- 35:04that thing? You know what I'm saying? I mean if you know the plays,
- 35:07you know what's coming. It wouldn't take long. Yeah, it's not that hard. But I'm
- 35:11going. It was a lot. It was over 9,000 bets. Yes.
- 35:149,000 times. And Louisville and at Texas Tech, while they'd
- 35:18already signed us a few months ago, Cincinnati. And then they kind of go,
- 35:21well, we're gonna seem to rehab. I'm not sure he did it in Cincinnati because
- 35:25he was already on their investigation when he transferred. And let's remember.
- 35:29And who alerted him to that? It was the
- 35:33betting sites themselves that alerted the people to that. And when
- 35:37you go to college, you get, you get told the first day
- 35:41you're there, don't bet. Yeah. Every year you get told,
- 35:45don't bet on anything. The betting apps
- 35:50are legally obligated to inform. And they did.
- 35:54Yes. People said, oh, it was Louisville. They were mad at Texas Tech for taking
- 35:57him. Not true. It was the betting apps. Yeah,
- 36:00Cincinnati. Same thing, same level, same people. Red and black,
- 36:04red and black. I'm just
- 36:08so tired of. Or we're trying to help him. No, if you're trying to help
- 36:11him, you sit his rear down for a year and say you're going to rehab
- 36:14for a year because you're not going to get over a addiction in 30 something
- 36:18days. It's not going to happen. Yep. Well, that's what happens with all the other
- 36:21celebrities because they got a check box that they got checked off. They're playing a
- 36:24game. It's not about actually helping somebody. They're just trying to get out there.
- 36:28But we're looking good. I think. I think that this is
- 36:32just what's in the spotlight. There's so many more problems that's out there, especially whenever
- 36:36we don't have a cap or a limit on any of the nil stuff that's
- 36:39going on. It's. That's. And I know they're fighting for it. And what's
- 36:44that. What's scrolling at the bottom of the screen on any sports? Oh, sure.
- 36:47Oh, yeah, sure. That's the society and the culture that we live. Sure it is.
- 36:50Here's this guy. He's got some money in his pockets. He's going around. He's kind
- 36:53of getting a name for himself now. And look at the. Oh, Johnny Football.
- 36:57That was his biggest downfall. Yeah. You know, he didn't even. Yeah. I mean,
- 37:00his was signatures, though. Yeah. But I mean, he's. What I'm saying is just the
- 37:04corruption. Yeah. He's. He's doing stuff he's not supposed to. He's. He's finding a way
- 37:07for him to make more money. And he's a child, you know,
- 37:12and he's an egotistical. He was one of the biggest egotistical trials out there.
- 37:15So I'm kind of wondering how the NFL is going to take that.
- 37:20Our team's going to touch him. NFL hasn't even.
- 37:24The NFL haven't even cleared him to be in that supplemental. But they will.
- 37:28Ray Lewis. Kill the guy. Everybody. But I mean, if you're
- 37:32somebody. It's different than gambling, though. It's still different than gambling on the team that
- 37:35you've been playing on. Because they said on. On get up this morning that NFL
- 37:39hasn't accepted this and they've taken a hard stance against sports betting. I mean,
- 37:43let me take it from a different angle, too. What did Texas Tech
- 37:47do this last year? They put in a lot of money. They put a lot
- 37:51of money together. So they did as much dirty work in. And that other kid
- 37:55did, you know, like trying to cover for it. Yeah. I mean, cover for it
- 37:59so much. They put in so much money. This. So they're gonna get it
- 38:03back. It's gone. And. And what did they get for it?
- 38:06They. Okay, they won the championship of the. Of Big 12. Man, that's awesome.
- 38:10I remember beating a junior college one time. And then what happened?
- 38:14Whenever it came to show that they had a plan, Oregon, they rolled
- 38:18zero points. They didn't score touchdown. But I think what this shows is
- 38:22also their integrity. Absolutely. Because they wouldn't stand up and go,
- 38:26this Is wrong. We're same down for half a season or whatever else. They want
- 38:30to do it. Two games. Yeah. I'm going. You can't. That ain't right.
- 38:33That's not right. And everybody else said that's not right. He's bet on it.
- 38:36He bet on the teams he played, games he played on, and then games he
- 38:39was suited up for. Yeah. It'd be a little bit different if he was betting
- 38:42outside of his. Yeah. What he was playing at. Yeah. Yeah.
- 38:45And so that's kind of like,
- 38:49oh, we're trying to help him out and. No, I'm sorry. Don't give me that.
- 38:53You wanted to play. I get you want to play. Just say yeah. We're fighting
- 38:56for the players. Yeah. Yeah. Don't be lying about it because now you shot your
- 39:00integrity. Yeah. And now all the big. The Big Ten has already done.
- 39:04SEC has already said we don't want to play with Texas Tech. And so their
- 39:07Texas Tech wants to get into big boy leagues. Guess what? They fried their own
- 39:10goose. They ain't coming in now. They don't show their integrity. And.
- 39:14And I think. I think that should even go back to game one with
- 39:18the Longhorns last year. It showed that there's a lot of issues with that.
- 39:22It didn't help us or help you all in the long run or whatever.
- 39:24How are you going to say right. So why even do bother with that stuff?
- 39:26Leave them Texas Tech goof nuts out there and they can go play utep.
- 39:31You know, congratulations. I mean, my baby brother is
- 39:36bigger and better than in any sport. And I'm willing to say that with
- 39:39a long horns, too. Okay. Baby brother's good. All right. But all retarded cousin
- 39:44out there in west Texas. I ain't gonna let him come in over here.
- 39:47Jeez. Yes, they're gonna play. They're gonna help. Being the
- 39:51Pack 12 again with the. Yeah, they'll be Pack 3. They're gonna do.
- 39:56They've lost their. They've lost their. Yeah. Whatever opportunity
- 40:00they had. Who's gonna take them in? No one. Yeah. No one. That.
- 40:04That's what they were standing up for. Nobody's gonna take them in. I mean,
- 40:06not only did that. It. It could potentially hurt their schedule further on.
- 40:10You know, Michigan already said the softball team not
- 40:14playing them. They already. They're already pulling it. Wow. They think, oh, we're standing up.
- 40:18We're being. No, you know, you don't. You. You guys can't see beyond your nose.
- 40:22There's such a. Like one thing I try to do with my kiddos is
- 40:26always try to use something for spiritual application. You can use it for anything.
- 40:29Like sports is one of the biggest things. But you look at what they did.
- 40:33They sold their soul. Yes, they sold their soul. They sitting here and they're counting
- 40:37their money right now. This, right now. So satisfied. This, this temporary
- 40:41moment right here, man. And then look what it cost you. Yep. It costs you.
- 40:44It could cost you a lot. Yeah, exactly. I mean, they. I don't know what
- 40:48the. There's so many judges out there. Like you're saying, like you brought up while
- 40:52ago shopping. There's. There's so much corruption out there that you
- 40:55may. Maybe they not get much more than a spank.
- 40:59And they got tried for that because they tried to do one at Lubbock.
- 41:02Yeah. And then they said that judge said, I'm recusing. I really can't
- 41:06do this. Let me give it to a retired judge. Yeah, retired judge,
- 41:12Fort Worth. Yeah. Guess what he wants to do? Go back to playing golf.
- 41:15He don't want to write or contemplate anything that actually makes sense. They shouldn't
- 41:19have any purview on any of that anyway. No, but again,
- 41:23let's go back even further like Brett said with this nil stuff.
- 41:26What about the quarterback from Ole Miss? He's going for a sixth year.
- 41:30Sixth year. Eight, nine years.
- 41:34Guess what he's doing. He's taking away a spot from a sophomore
- 41:37that could play. He's taking away somebody that could help progress.
- 41:41And that's. It's wrong. Give them five years at the max.
- 41:45They're talking about doing that. I hope they do that. A five year rule.
- 41:48You got five years to play after you graduate high school and you're done.
- 41:51I like that. So they need to cap that already. Not yet. Not yet.
- 41:55No. I thought that was five years to play. Five. I mean that's going to
- 41:58change everything. The way that I do Russell's, you know, recruitment for baseball.
- 42:03So we were talking about two years in juco and then going four
- 42:07years. Yeah. Hey, you know, because that's what everybody else is doing. Why not?
- 42:11But you only get five years now they're gonna do. Which makes sense. You don't
- 42:15want some 27 year old lineman playing some 18,
- 42:1819 year old lineman. Who's that? Utah quarterback. Yeah,
- 42:22Rising. Rising. Yeah. It's like 30 years old.
- 42:26He was recruited by Texas the same year they did Sam Ellinger. Yeah,
- 42:30I remember that. And then he
- 42:34was in Utah for seven years. Living the glory days. Well,
- 42:38I mean, no, he hurt his Knees.
- 42:42But that's still. What, and company. Yes, yes. Five years
- 42:46is all you got to get. I'm sorry if stuff happens to you. That's part
- 42:49of life too. Yeah. Imagine being 27 and an
- 42:5218 year old hiking the ball. They're just wanting that in. Man.
- 42:56That'd be nuts. It's even more. It's gonna be even
- 43:00worse. Yeah, because people want to say somebody else besides the. The Ole Miss quarterback.
- 43:04Somebody else did too this year. I forgot who it was now. But there's the
- 43:08live. The. Oh, the Indiana line. Several of them were six year guys. I'm going.
- 43:12Okay. That's a huge difference. And linemen especially,
- 43:16it showed. I mean they dominated on the line. I was thinking
- 43:20Oregon had a bunch on there. I can't remember now. They had a couple thinking
- 43:23Oregon had a lot and then Indiana. They just try to do the best.
- 43:26Oh, I think like the five star recruits. No, I think that's what they were
- 43:29talking about. How Oregon was just way up there and then Indiana was just
- 43:33like me and then Indiana, you know. Yeah, but they got 20 something year
- 43:38old guys. Yeah, sure. That makes. Yeah, yeah, makes sense.
- 43:42Man. Come on. You can't beat the old man. They already won
- 43:46the super bowl and came back down and. But again, it just shows. You can't
- 43:49experience. You can't buy experience. You can't buy experience.
- 43:53I don't know. T. Moo's got a lot of stuff out there.
- 43:57So that's where I can get it. Evidently.
- 44:03Evidently. No doubt about. They just don't have enough money down there.
- 44:09They won't spend it now they've got it. It's just going to Jimbo.
- 44:16Come back, he'll get him another championship. He'll be the first 87 year old.
- 44:20I'd never applied for anywhere about
- 44:24the Aggies is Johnny Menzel. Oh yeah, that's it. It's been 27 years.
- 44:27Because you don't look anywhere else. That is
- 44:31the only thing. All I say about the Longhorns is. No, wait a second now.
- 44:34Control himself with alcohol. But let's talk. Let's talk about the receiver, Mike Evans.
- 44:39Mike Evans, be fair. He's at
- 44:43Russell's favorite place. 49ers dude. And I'd just
- 44:47like the listeners to know he literally handed me a Miles Garrett card to start
- 44:51this off with. You're welcome, buddy. So thank you.
- 44:54I'll hold back. I'll have a little bit more self control with you. I'm sorry.
- 44:57The other two got, you know, Longhorn got
- 45:01Matthew Golden. When you Were coming up,
- 45:05though. There you go. Coming up. I asked you if you wanted somebody. No,
- 45:08I got one. Your hand lad is good, though. I like lad too. So he's
- 45:13gonna be the. The Wells Walker. Not the Wells Walker. Who's the. No,
- 45:16he's gonna be the. He's gonna be
- 45:20the next Hunter R. He's not gonna be there. Oh, no man's gonna be.
- 45:24He's the big. I know. I like. Glad he's a big worker.
- 45:28What are you saying, D.J. i was asking since he brought up Quinn Ewers,
- 45:32you know, him and Malik are fighting for the start spot. Have you seen videos
- 45:36of them? I have not seen any videos. Malik is out throwing him by 20
- 45:40yards. Well, you can out throw him, but accuracy wise, he out throws
- 45:43most of the NFL by 20 yards. What are you talking about? Doesn't he out
- 45:47throw his receivers? He does do that. That's the problem.
- 45:51He's got a big arm. He does. I mean, what. Who's that guy that was
- 45:54on the couch? Milton. Oh, yeah, Like Joe Milton? Yeah.
- 46:00You got to be able to make those. He made quite a few. He was
- 46:04good in Green Bay. I mean, he had a good offensive line. It's an old
- 46:07joke about the 500 pound gorilla playing golf. He drives at 700
- 46:10yards. How far does he put? 700 yards?
- 46:15Yeah. He would never make it for the Cowboys because it's only five yards.
- 46:19That's the max they can throw. You know what's crazy Jerry
- 46:24put out there? We went to the. We had to go
- 46:28to the game a couple years ago to watch them play the Bengals and Joe
- 46:31Barrow and those guys. You don't get it because on TV there's
- 46:35not three, four, five long passes in a whole game. There's 15
- 46:39yard passes is about. But they're on time and then, boom, the receiver takes off.
- 46:43And so that's a short pass that turns into a long play.
- 46:47So they'll throw them every now and then, but it's not. You think, oh,
- 46:50it's a long pass. No, it's a 15, 20 yard pass. And it just gets
- 46:54exploited. Yeah, because those receivers, even Joe Burrow, which is
- 46:58when we went and watched that. Yeah. Top. It's crazy. Third quarter, three quarterback in
- 47:01the league, top team. He is top tier. Top three.
- 47:06You win a championship, though. I don't know if I give him that far.
- 47:09Oh, he ain't talked. He was. I got hurt. He's got two of the best
- 47:12receivers. Oh, Jamar Chase T. Higgins. Yeah,
- 47:15yeah, yeah. Did they stay together this year? Or did they get.
- 47:19I don't even know. They're together. Okay. Yeah. I mean, they had a tough time
- 47:22with paying one. Lost all their defenders. Yeah. Yeah. Well, they. I was about to
- 47:25say they paid their wide receivers. They didn't get no defenders, and their offensive line
- 47:29still trash. So the. The Bengals front office
- 47:33basically pulled them in and be like, look, you two are it. Yeah, you gotta
- 47:37win it. Run faster. Faster. You know what? They're. They're starting to get along
- 47:40the lines of what Jerry does. Yeah. They sell offense. Yeah.
- 47:44You know, if you can score a bunch of points, might not win. But if
- 47:46you score a bunch of points, throw those 70
- 47:50points up there. Throw. Throw 70 points up.
- 47:54We got this. Joe Burrow is going to wear, like, the full. What is
- 47:58it? Halo cap. It's going to be all of his whole body.
- 48:01Those things are cool, but they look like backyard
- 48:06football. Did you ever play that game on a computer?
- 48:10Because the receiver knobs. Yeah, I'm surprised. Not everybody wears them,
- 48:15but the. The guys that get hit hard should. Because it's pretty crazy.
- 48:19It's so fun. Like, they were talking about on one time that, like it said,
- 48:22it should be taken. It should be ruled illegal because it's a disadvantage because you
- 48:25can always pick out that one receiver. Tua has four of them, don't he?
- 48:30Yeah, they dipped them in gold and they're sitting on his mantle.
- 48:33Four on a ten. Well, man, there's been a
- 48:38lot of other stuff, too. I know just outside of sports,
- 48:41I. I was on spring break and I went to this place
- 48:45in the middle of Kansas. It's crazy. And they had all this. It was called
- 48:49the Cosmosphere, and they had space stuff everywhere. And it was
- 48:53a lot of fun because, you know, I work at that flat. Earther. Shout out.
- 48:56Clint. And it was. It was really cool.
- 49:00It was really neat, man. They had. Oh, man, I want to say it was
- 49:03Apollo 13. I think it was their actual capsule there. And I'm like, why does
- 49:06this place in the middle of Kansas have this? It makes no sense. They got
- 49:09a better stage. Amazing. It was amazing. What is it? They got a better stage.
- 49:13Yeah. Yeah, man. The green screen was amazing. I'm sorry.
- 49:19He's like, don't get me started.
- 49:22You go back to back here, Back to back.
- 49:27Very cool, though. It was. Oh, it was. It was. It was. It was amazing.
- 49:31Was that the museum that was in the mine? No, no, no. This was beside
- 49:34it, though. It's just down the road a little bit. The mine is called Strata.
- 49:38That Was incredible, man. You go down like 700ft or something and it's a,
- 49:42it's a, it's a different kind of salt mine. Ours here,
- 49:45they like use water, you know, that's how they get. Oh there. They actually like
- 49:48dig it out. But it's like 95 or 96.9%
- 49:53pure or something like that. So it's not good enough. So they only use it
- 49:56for like the ice cream salt, you know, you put around there or throw it
- 49:59on the street, so that's what that's used for. But they cleared out over 50
- 50:03acres on this one side and sold it to the movie people. So they use
- 50:06it for storage for all of their. Like I seen them in the Mr.
- 50:09Free suit and all that. It was really cool. It was like neat to see
- 50:12all that stuff. Mr. Freeze is really cool. Yeah. See what you did.
- 50:16But then I went to, not too long
- 50:20ago, we went to on a cheer competition all the way down to South Padre.
- 50:24I got to see a little bit in the distance, a little, little, little SpaceX
- 50:29field over there. Space City or whatever it's called. Yes, yes.
- 50:32And then I was like, well, I'm stopping at NASA on the way back that
- 50:35I don't care. I'm gonna do it, dude. I was so let down how much
- 50:38that's the difference. Like NASA was not good at all.
- 50:42Compared of how fake it is. Yes. Everything looks
- 50:47in there. Yes. Like you look at the space and you're like, how did this
- 50:50go up there? That looks like, like. Are you
- 50:54talking about. Yeah, it's not like that. You gotta go
- 50:58to Florida for the real nasty. That's the one that's. The natural is not
- 51:02good. I'll tell you. It was not good. Yeah. And then like everything's moved away
- 51:05because of the video. I mean, the, the video, but like
- 51:10they used to have like the, the swimming pool on like on campus
- 51:14now 16 or 17 miles down the road at an air force base. Like it
- 51:17was. Oh, man, I was just so let down. They did talk a lot about
- 51:20Artemis, which I was pumped up about. That's pretty cool. Let me just throw something
- 51:24out there. Okay. SpaceX has cameras all over his spaceships,
- 51:28everywhere. Right. Why couldn't we see any of that footage on Artemis?
- 51:33You saw some? No. Most of it was animated, no. Yeah.
- 51:37Oh, yeah. Most it was. And like whenever they were doing re entry,
- 51:41all animated. Whenever they were coming through the atmosphere somewhere, somewhere.
- 51:45No, during re entry, there was nothing that was being seen on
- 51:49tv. It was all animation. The only time that it started showing him is
- 51:53whenever it was like a few hundred feet above the the ocean and then it
- 51:57landed and then like my dad said, it didn't steam.
- 52:01So it came in at 25000 miles an hour and then it didn't steam whenever
- 52:05it hit the water. So that was one of that other. But yeah,
- 52:10it was like I. They need to talk to Degum Elon put some cameras all
- 52:13over that thing. Everything he launches has got cameras. Oh yeah. And like that
- 52:17little PEZ dispenser, like looking thing for the satellites.
- 52:21It's amazing. Is that one. Is that one SpaceX or is it Boca Cheetah,
- 52:24which is the. No, Starbase Star base is Boca Chica. That's a
- 52:28banana. Yeah, that's the Starbase SpaceX.
- 52:32No. What's the name? Jeff Bezos does it down there too. He does
- 52:35it down there. Origin. I thought he did it in like he did Florida.
- 52:38I thought he's also got
- 52:42where the girls went up and down. That was. Yeah. Oh yeah. Yeah. I don't
- 52:45know. Yeah, the little, the little rat just. Yeah, yeah. I thought that was like.
- 52:48Yeah, a desert or something. I don't know. That was a movie set in Nevada.
- 52:53Well, they just take them up and they drop them. So that's how they get
- 52:55there. Did y' all see the blue Origin one blow up though? Yeah, he can't
- 52:59keep up, man. Spectacular. That was the largest.
- 53:02Just. That was wild. Well,
- 53:06yeah, hopefully that's just like Iran's missiles that they have left too.
- 53:10So. Yeah, maybe that'll all blow up. Hopefully be
- 53:14done. So these gas prices, they're going down, but I'm hoping so too.
- 53:18I don't need to give. It's nuts that it's like some
- 53:22dude that's just like, well, they could go up. So I'm gonna go ahead and
- 53:25spike the prices. That's it. It has nothing to do with anything. There's a bunch
- 53:29of old guys sitting in the room. I'm like, well, who cares? Quit subscribing to
- 53:33that guy. We got our. Let's make it here. Unless you charge the price that
- 53:36we need to charge. But the problem is, is that our refineries aren't built to
- 53:40cut to do our sweet crude, which is light crude. It's built. Our finders
- 53:44are built to do the heavy crude, which is Middle east crude. Why they did
- 53:48that, I don't know. Yeah, I wonder why that's the case. We sell ours.
- 53:51Yep. Yeah. It's exported. Yep. Then we import.
- 53:55That's right. That makes A lot of sense. Yeah. Perfect sense.
- 53:58Yeah. We'll see. We'll see how that. Hopefully we can go down and enjoy a.
- 54:03A summer of a little bit lighter gas prices. But I'm about
- 54:06to take that rv and that thing's going to go. It gets gallons
- 54:10per mile. I think four miles of the gallon as you're going
- 54:14uphill. That's how that goes. We're gonna go
- 54:18up there and see. Oh, Nick Bolton putting on a football camp. I'm excited.
- 54:21That's cool. There you go, Nick. Where's that? I think it's called
- 54:25Carthage, Missouri.
- 54:28Yeah. So it'd be neat to see him. I haven't seen him since his
- 54:32high school days. That was it. That was the last time I seen him.
- 54:35You should ask him to let him see your super. See a Super bowl ring
- 54:37and then take off running. Yeah. See if he tackles. You should take Roland's
- 54:41ring and say, I have one, too.
- 54:45You won me fantasy through defense.
- 54:52That'd be funny. I won because I. Y' all pray for my team.
- 54:57We're not gonna be too far along. We're gonna be doing a draft again.
- 55:01Oh, yeah. We will do a live stream again for that. Yeah, I'm excited for
- 55:05that. Well, what. What are y' all got for the summer? Oh, church camp.
- 55:08Next week. Two weeks. Two weeks. Two weeks. Next two. Two weeks. My bad.
- 55:11Yeah, we should do a. A mobile podcast.
- 55:15I mean, at church camp. Church camp edition.
- 55:18I mean, we can. If we can find a place that's quiet enough. Just gotta
- 55:21haul all these mics. Mics, though. That wouldn't be too hard. We can figure out.
- 55:25I'll do it. We figure out. Yeah, we'll do it. You can do it in
- 55:28the dorm and just. Yeah, but then I walk it off. Then I got to
- 55:31produce it, though. Like, I gotta do all my editing and. Oh, yeah, that takes
- 55:35time. Just send it to Canva. It'll do it. Claude. AI,
- 55:39bro, come on. I ain't that hard. No. AI messes stuff up
- 55:43when it does it. It does. AI is not very good. Still experimental.
- 55:47Yeah. I mean, we could do a live from down there, though. You could live
- 55:52stream. You'd have to have some show notes, though, because we're gonna be like,
- 55:56first episode back to back. Don't talk about the
- 56:00butter for all those. Listen,
- 56:04that. That part was cut off, so you're not gonna know what that is.
- 56:09It's gonna. It's gonna be like the first episode, the camera. We go live on
- 56:12camera. We're all just kind of sitting There going, who's gonna talk first?
- 56:17I'm just gonna have a butter knife.
- 56:20That's all I'm gonna say. We'll figure something out. I mean, we do. Listeners questioning.
- 56:25What are they talking about? I wish we had cameras in here because your
- 56:29daddy's face when you said that he was on.
- 56:34Now that we have a nice podcast room, we are going to start recording.
- 56:37Like, we're doing video too. So I, like, probably won't do lives.
- 56:41Yeah. I mean, yeah, if we do like a short condensed version in church
- 56:45camp, like 15, 20 minutes. Oh, yeah. It would take me
- 56:49maybe 30 minutes to an hour to get it wrapped up. Hey, good luck.
- 56:53I'll put in seven and a half hours for that 15 minute podcast. Right.
- 56:56I put in four for this one. Well, if you
- 57:00made it this while, it probably sounded like it was seven and a half hours.
- 57:03Thanks for coming back and listening to us. You too.
- 57:08All three of you. Probably lost all of our listings.
- 57:13And Radomir, I haven't forgot about you. From New York.
- 57:17From New York. We've probably lost everybody. They're like, well, these guys are not recording
- 57:21anymore. What happened? But we're
- 57:25back officially. Church guys has turned into the cemetery guys.
- 57:29They're dead. And on that note of being back, well, it's time to go.
- 57:37I would always, I always like to end, you know, like, sports is fun
- 57:41and I enjoy talking about this. I enjoy coming with you guys and just.
- 57:44Just coming together, just a good group of buddies is.
- 57:48It's essential in life. It really is. It's. It's really needed.
- 57:53But we've got to make sure you stay grounded, stay firm.
- 57:56That's the most important thing that you can. You can do. By the way,
- 57:59had a great, great letter waiting for me the other day when I got home
- 58:03from the station. And Clara had wrote that she has
- 58:07accepted Jesus into her heart. She wants
- 58:10to be baptized. So I had to show Craig to my. My next
- 58:15board. Crazy neighbor. I was like, hey, keep it down. But,
- 58:18hey, you want to read this letter? So I was really excited about that.
- 58:23That's great. That's awesome. I'm. I'm super excited. That's. That's just some
- 58:27of those moments. I. I can feel the frog in my throat right now,
- 58:30you know, but that you just, you just. You've been praying
- 58:34for since the day they were born or before that. Yeah. So,
- 58:37yeah, really cool. But stay grounded. Keeping the word. I hope
- 58:41you guys are too. I hope y' all are, you know, staying, and anytime
- 58:45we can get together, I'm I'm in. Let's do this thing, you know,
- 58:49and we got a lot of things coming down the pipe that are behind the
- 58:52scenes. We have an app that I'm working on, so that way you don't have
