Speaker 1: I am Sherry Mackie, and it's time right now for
• 0:04
Speaker 1: today's word. God's math is different. Judges seven and two
• 0:14
Speaker 1: says the Lord said to Gideon, you have too many men.
• 0:18
Speaker 1: I cannot deliver midian into their hands, or Israel would
• 0:22
Speaker 1: boast against me. My own strength has saved me. When
• 0:28
Speaker 1: Gideon prepared to face the Midianite army of one hundred
• 0:32
Speaker 1: and eighty five thousand soldiers, he already felt out numbered
• 0:37
Speaker 1: with just thirty two thousand men. Yet God told him
• 0:40
Speaker 1: he had too many men. Now you talked about thirty
• 0:43
Speaker 1: two thousand against one hundred and eighty five thousand, and
• 0:45
Speaker 1: God said you still got too many. See that doesn't
• 0:48
Speaker 1: sound logical, does it. But God knew that if Israel
• 0:52
Speaker 1: won with thirty two thousand, they'd boast that their own
• 0:56
Speaker 1: strength saved them, So he kept reducing Gideon's army, first
• 1:01
Speaker 1: to ten thousand men, then to a mere three hundred.
• 1:06
Speaker 1: Now the odds looked laughable, but with God's repeated promise,
• 1:12
Speaker 1: I will be with you, oh Gideon, press forward, and
• 1:17
Speaker 1: against all human reasoning, Gideon and his three hundred defeated
• 1:22
Speaker 1: the mighty Midianites. God was teaching us a vital principle here.
• 1:28
Speaker 1: You don't need everything you think you need. You don't
• 1:31
Speaker 1: need the biggest team. You don't need the perfect background
• 1:35
Speaker 1: or the best connection. What you need most is a
• 1:38
Speaker 1: presence and favor of God. He delights in using those
• 1:41
Speaker 1: who feel underestimated. He delights in using those that feel overlooked.
• 1:47
Speaker 1: He delights in using those that feel unqualified because it
• 1:51
Speaker 1: allows His power to shine through. Maybe you feel like
• 1:56
Speaker 1: you're facing impossible odds today. The resources are the support
• 2:01
Speaker 1: is limited, and the task feel overwhelming. But God is
• 2:06
Speaker 1: saying to you today, go in the strength you have.
• 2:09
Speaker 1: He's already breathed his favor over your life. You are
• 2:12
Speaker 1: stronger than you realize. You are anointed, you are equipped,
• 2:17
Speaker 1: and you are chosen by God. What seems like lack
• 2:21
Speaker 1: in your eyes is a very set up for God's
• 2:24
Speaker 1: power to be revealed. He specializes in turning the little
• 2:29
Speaker 1: into much, the weak into strong, the ordinary into extra ordinary.
• 2:34
Speaker 1: You don't have to wait for perfect conditions. Step forward
• 2:38
Speaker 1: with what you have, trusting that God will multiply it,
• 2:42
Speaker 1: just as Gideon discovered, when God is with you, you
• 2:46
Speaker 1: already have the majority. Thank you, Jesus, Come on, Jesus, Father,
• 2:52
Speaker 1: Thank you that we don't need everything the world says
• 2:56
Speaker 1: it's necessary in order for us to succeed. Thank you
• 2:59
Speaker 1: that even when we feel outnumbered or unqualified, your strength
• 3:04
Speaker 1: is made perfect in our weakness. God, we choose to
• 3:07
Speaker 1: trust you with what we have, knowing you will do
• 3:11
Speaker 1: the rest. In Jesus' name. Ooh, that's your word for today.
