- 0:00Speaker 1: There is a story in a bunch of Elvis biographies.
- 0:03Speaker 1: I told people on the last episode to Google it
- 0:05Speaker 1: if they don't believe me. Elvis one time stopped a
- 0:09Speaker 1: flight on the tarmac in Las Vegas because he thought
- 0:12Speaker 1: a guy who stole from him was on that flight.
- 0:16Speaker 1: And he stopped that flight with his federal agent badge.
- 0:19Speaker 1: And the guy he was chasing is named Hamburger James.
- 0:22Speaker 1: It's a very famous Elvis story.
- 0:24Speaker 2: Elvis does it, and it's a fun time.
- 0:27Speaker 3: DMX does it, and it's a fucking negative headline.
- 0:31Speaker 4: Did DMX have a badge, though? Oh, no.
- 0:34Speaker 2: I think he just pretended he had a badge.
- 0:36Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah. That's a big difference.
- 0:37Speaker 3: That's true.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Fair.
- 0:38Speaker 5: Yeah, okay.
- 0:39Speaker 4: You know what?
- 0:39Speaker 2: Never mind. Apologies to Elvis.
- 0:43Speaker 1: So, yeah, and you're absolutely right that there's a lot
- 0:46Speaker 1: in both of these documentaries that I think was meant
- 0:50Speaker 1: to muddle the story. I don't believe any of the
- 0:52Speaker 1: Elvis phone calls. I think that's fucking nonsense. There's one
- 0:57Speaker 1: that I can't find confirmation of it now, but under
- 1:01Speaker 1: the YouTube video where that call is posted. someone says
- 1:05Speaker 1: in Elvis impersonator came out shortly thereafter.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:08Speaker 3: There's reference in the second, in the conspiracy Elvis conspiracy
- 1:12Speaker 3: that the audio played in Elvis files, uh, was debunked
- 1:17Speaker 3: and they know who did it and.
- 1:18Speaker 5: Yes it was you know elvis impersonator and they paid
- 1:21Speaker 5: him 250 dollars to that's it that's all they paid
- 1:25Speaker 5: him was 250 bucks to do a phone call which
- 1:28Speaker 5: sounds stupid low but at this time you could buy
- 1:32Speaker 5: 423 cheeseburgers with 250 oh hey that's true yeah.
- 1:39Speaker 4: Yeah, there's another one.
- 1:40Speaker 1: I actually have an audio cassette of it because Gail
- 1:44Speaker 1: Brewer Giorgio's first book came with an audio cassette of
- 1:47Speaker 1: this alleged– Elvis recording. And the thing I read about it,
- 1:54Speaker 1: which is from a book called Elvis is Alive, but
- 1:57Speaker 1: it's very confusing.
- 1:58Speaker 4: There's a lot of Elvis books with the same title.
- 2:00Speaker 1: But what the person who wrote that book claims is
- 2:03Speaker 1: that that Elvis phone call is actually a mashup of
- 2:07Speaker 1: an interview he did in 1962 and a monologue he
- 2:11Speaker 1: did during a concert and they're spliced together. And the
- 2:15Speaker 1: person names the two albums where you can find them.
- 2:19Speaker 1: But the problem is those albums are not on streaming services.
- 2:24Speaker 1: One of them's on YouTube, but it's three hours long
- 2:26Speaker 1: and there's no chapters, no indication of what starts where.
- 2:30Speaker 4: So I'm going to try and find.
- 2:33Speaker 1: The sources of that first call and see, because sometimes
- 2:37Speaker 1: the person debunking stuff is lying too.
- 2:39Speaker 4: Like that happens.
- 2:40Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
- 2:41Speaker 1: So I don't know, but I absolutely, if Elvis joined
- 2:44Speaker 1: witness protection, I don't think he called Gail Brewer, Giorgio.
- 2:47Speaker 1: I don't think he went to fucking Kalamazoo. If he
- 2:50Speaker 1: did go to Kalamazoo, he wasn't living under the name.
- 2:52Speaker 1: He signed the fucking Nixon letter. That all feels like
- 2:56Speaker 1: distractions and shit.
- 2:58Speaker 5: It also feels like he's the worst asset at that point.
- 3:01Speaker 5: Like he don't really want to be hidden.
- 3:04Speaker 2: You know, you're bad at this, Elvis.
- 3:06Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Go back to your island and grow your fucking beard
- 3:09Speaker 2: out again, man.
- 3:11Speaker 5: I'm the best cop there's ever been. You'll never find me.
- 3:13Speaker 5: All you got to do is look for my handwriting
- 3:15Speaker 5: and any pseudonym I've ever used. And if you see
- 3:17Speaker 5: a guy that looks like me, it's me. Also, just
- 3:20Speaker 5: look up my social security number. I'm still using it.
- 3:22Speaker 3: I will be at the building that is registered in
- 3:25Speaker 3: my name anytime you want to come look for me.
- 3:27Speaker 4: Yeah, that all feels like red herring stuff.
- 3:31Speaker 1: If Elvis did join Witness Protection, there's no way he
- 3:34Speaker 1: went to fucking Kalamazoo.
- 3:36Speaker 5: No, but if we're going to go Witness Protection... true
- 3:42Speaker 5: then these things could also be true and are intentional
- 3:46Speaker 5: red herrings done by the cia or the fbi.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Oh yeah that's what i mean because that would be
- 3:52Speaker 1: pretty easy although that would be risky too because if
- 3:56Speaker 1: he is in witness protection you don't have any assurance
- 3:59Speaker 1: that the people who want to kill elvis won't just
- 4:01Speaker 1: go kill this fucking john burroughs guy right but At
- 4:06Speaker 1: the same time, it feels like a really convenient thing
- 4:09Speaker 1: where you can put this guy out there who's pretending
- 4:12Speaker 1: to be Elvis in Kalamazoo. And then if the heat
- 4:15Speaker 1: really gets to be too much, you just do whatever
- 4:18Speaker 1: you need to do to prove that that guy's not Elvis.
- 4:21Speaker 1: And then that's going to shut everyone up. You thought
- 4:23Speaker 1: this guy was in Kalamazoo.
- 4:24Speaker 4: No, he's not. Next question.
- 4:25Speaker 5: Do we know if there was an influx of Elvis
- 4:28Speaker 5: impersonator murders during this time?
- 4:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:33Speaker 1: That's the real conspiracy. This backfired and the mob just
- 4:37Speaker 1: started offing Elvis impersonators for years and the government doesn't
- 4:41Speaker 1: want us to know.
- 4:42Speaker 5: Eventually, we're going to get one of them. Eventually, it's
- 4:44Speaker 5: going to be the guy we're looking for.
- 4:49Speaker 4: Oh man.
- 4:50Speaker 1: I just, yeah, I don't believe any of the sighting stuff.
- 4:52Speaker 1: I think if he joined witness protection, he fucked off
- 4:55Speaker 1: to Argentina or some shit.
- 4:57Speaker 3: Yeah. That guy that takes a photo at Graceland.
- 5:00Speaker 4: Jesus.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Mike Joseph, Mark Joe, whatever his name is.
- 5:04Speaker 3: He takes that photo at Graceland and I'm sorry, no
- 5:08Speaker 3: fucking way is Elvis just going to sit there with
- 5:12Speaker 3: that door wide open for you to get a photo
- 5:14Speaker 3: of him.
- 5:15Speaker 5: No.
- 5:15Speaker 1: And what's interesting about that photo they interview mike joseph
- 5:20Speaker 1: in this and he's like yeah i took the picture
- 5:22Speaker 1: and darn tootin it looks like elvis meanwhile gail brewer
- 5:26Speaker 1: georgio goes on larry king after that at one point
- 5:30Speaker 1: and she's talking about that photo and she's like yeah
- 5:33Speaker 1: mike joseph said he thinks it's elvis and mike joseph
- 5:36Speaker 1: calls in and is like i never said that dude
- 5:39Speaker 1: you are on a television documentary saying that What do
- 5:43Speaker 1: you mean?
- 5:43Speaker 5: You looked Bill Bixby in his fucking non-hulked out eyes
- 5:47Speaker 5: and you said I took a photo of Elvis.
- 5:49Speaker 3: Through his giant glasses. By the way, my next pair
- 5:54Speaker 3: of glasses are going to be Bixby's. I'm going Bixby
- 5:57Speaker 3: with my glasses.
- 5:58Speaker 4: Oh, hell yeah.
- 5:58Speaker 5: I mean, you could call those Bixby's, but those look
- 6:00Speaker 5: like Dahmer's to me if you want to get real.
- 6:02Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:03Speaker 1: I mean, who did it first? I'm not asking who
- 6:06Speaker 1: wore it better. I'm asking who did it first.
- 6:09Speaker 5: I think Dahmer did it first.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Right.
- 6:11Speaker 5: No, no, no, no.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Bixby for sure.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Joe Esposito, he comes up in this and I won.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Don't trust him a bit, but I bring him up
- 6:21Speaker 1: because Mike Joseph, when he called in to Larry King
- 6:26Speaker 1: to say, no, I never said that was Elvis. Joe Esposito,
- 6:29Speaker 1: who comes up in the second documentary as this guy
- 6:32Speaker 1: who's meant to reassure us that everything people are saying
- 6:35Speaker 1: about Elvis is false. Meanwhile, I don't trust shit this
- 6:38Speaker 1: guy says. He's on Larry King also and says, no,
- 6:41Speaker 1: the guy in the window is this other guy. And
- 6:43Speaker 1: then someone else from Elvis's inner circle calls in and goes, no,
- 6:47Speaker 1: it's actually this guy. So no one knows who the
- 6:50Speaker 1: fuck is in that picture, it seems.
- 6:53Speaker 5: I think it's just some dude. Was it Graceland?
- 6:56Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't think Elvis would have fucking hung around
- 6:59Speaker 1: Graceland after this.
- 7:02Speaker 5: No, but also, too, men of a certain age made
- 7:04Speaker 5: Elvis their whole personality. So it was very easy to
- 7:07Speaker 5: find people who looked Elvis-like who probably wanted to go
- 7:10Speaker 5: to a place where Elvis lived at one point.
- 7:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:14Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't buy anything about that picture. I think
- 7:18Speaker 4: that picture is bullshit.
- 7:20Speaker 1: The Elvis recording session where he talks about Reagan getting shot.
- 7:24Speaker 4: Okay, how convenient is that?
- 7:27Speaker 5: Hold on, everybody. I'm just breaking news right now.
- 7:31Speaker 3: I just heard the Challenger space shuttle explosion.
- 7:34Speaker 2: What?
- 7:34Speaker 4: Did he get a text?
- 7:36Speaker 2: Right? Where's this breaking news?
- 7:39Speaker 3: Did somebody, did a PA fly in with a sheet
- 7:42Speaker 3: of paper and tap him on the fucking shoulder?
- 7:44Speaker 4: I just been handed a note.
- 7:46Speaker 2: While he's recording an album, which is a thing you
- 7:49Speaker 2: should not be doing, Elvis.
- 7:51Speaker 5: Hold on just a minute. I'm just being told the
- 7:53Speaker 5: price of Bitcoin is plummeting. Everybody just could sell you Bitcoin.
- 7:58Speaker 2: I'm buying stock in GameStop.
- 7:59Speaker 4: Oh no, John Lennon.
- 8:03Speaker 3: It's just Elvis doing We Didn't Start the Fire.
- 8:08Speaker 4: Oh, man. Yeah.
- 8:10Speaker 5: Hold on. I'm being told the price of cheeseburgers is
- 8:12Speaker 5: no longer 59 cents. Is that right? Oh, my God. Everybody,
- 8:16Speaker 5: go to Burger King.
- 8:17Speaker 3: A second plane has hit the World Trade Center. I
- 8:20Speaker 3: got to go in and warn George W.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Bush.
- 8:23Speaker 4: Yeah, the commercials in this are interesting. they left a
- 8:26Speaker 4: lot of the commercials in these.
- 8:27Speaker 3: Oh yeah. There's a lot that there's one commercial that
- 8:30Speaker 3: keeps coming up where the woman's like, I'll use my mom.
- 8:33Speaker 5: So no, no, no, no, no.
- 8:37Speaker 2: My mom's tampon.
- 8:39Speaker 5: That I had forgotten about that commercial. And that commercial
- 8:44Speaker 5: showed up at least four times during the commercial breaks.
- 8:47Speaker 5: And I was like, who allowed this to be a
- 8:49Speaker 5: commercial of a lady talking about sharing her mother's tampon? Yeah.
- 8:53Speaker 2: It, It's the only commercial that comes up multiple times,
- 8:57Speaker 2: I think. And it's a lot.
- 8:59Speaker 3: And I'm starting to think that big tampon, actually big
- 9:03Speaker 3: menstrual products killed Elvis and then created an entire conspiracy
- 9:08Speaker 3: industry so they could sell more tampons.
- 9:11Speaker 4: I wouldn't doubt that one bit. What do we think
- 9:15Speaker 4: about Kelly Burgess?
- 9:17Speaker 5: Which one was she?
- 9:18Speaker 1: She's the one who says she she met John Burroughs
- 9:22Speaker 1: in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
- 9:24Speaker 5: Like going to.
- 9:25Speaker 3: An office building that she said she found out he
- 9:29Speaker 3: owned and then just going into every room and asking
- 9:32Speaker 3: about Elvis.
- 9:33Speaker 5: And asking over and over until he stopped replying. And
- 9:36Speaker 5: then she left. Right. Wasn't that the story was eventually
- 9:39Speaker 5: he was just he kind of entertained her for a bit.
- 9:42Speaker 5: And after a while was just like, yeah, yeah. And
- 9:44Speaker 5: then she's like, and then walked away.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Yeah, so much about her story just does not make
- 9:49Speaker 1: sense from a witness protection standpoint. And again, this is
- 9:55Speaker 1: I brought this up on the last episode. This is
- 9:57Speaker 1: what I'm talking about when I say this is not.
- 10:00Speaker 1: a nefarious conspiracy, one. And two, if it's a conspiracy,
- 10:05Speaker 1: I'm on the conspirator's side here.
- 10:08Speaker 4: What Kelly Burgess.
- 10:10Speaker 1: And Gail Brewer-Giorgio are doing in this moment, if they're right,
- 10:13Speaker 1: would very easily get Elvis killed because they're saying he's
- 10:17Speaker 1: not only alive, he's in Kalamazoo, Michigan. And furthermore, he's
- 10:22Speaker 1: at this one specific office building downtown.
- 10:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:26Speaker 5: Well, I'm here in Kalamazoo, Michigan, making original Gibson guitars
- 10:30Speaker 5: where we originally made right here. Now we're called the heritage,
- 10:33Speaker 5: but we're making original Gibson guitars. My name's John Burrows.
- 10:38Speaker 3: I just I don't think that anything involved with her
- 10:42Speaker 3: is conspiracy.
- 10:43Speaker 2: I think she's.
- 10:44Speaker 3: Just one of those busybodies that a conspiracy loves because
- 10:48Speaker 3: it will create confusion. Yeah, she's got this whole thing.
- 10:51Speaker 3: And her son comes in, too, and talks about it
- 10:54Speaker 3: and their ideas. Well, we were kicked out for getting
- 10:57Speaker 3: too close to the truth. And, you know, you were
- 10:58Speaker 3: kicked out for being a fucking weird disturbance at a
- 11:01Speaker 3: place of business.
- 11:03Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 11:04Speaker 5: There's this second documentary, whatever you want to call it.
- 11:07Speaker 5: They allowed live call-ins, right? And one of the call-in
- 11:11Speaker 5: questions was like why are you trying to profit off
- 11:14Speaker 5: of this or something like that and bill bixby says
- 11:16Speaker 5: the most bullshit answer he was like we're trying to
- 11:20Speaker 5: disprove rumors you are putting crazy people on national television
- 11:25Speaker 5: that's what you're doing you're not doing some investigatory service
- 11:29Speaker 5: to the world and showing how elvis isn't alive you're
- 11:32Speaker 5: letting anybody who took a photo of a stranger who
- 11:35Speaker 5: looks semi like elvis have a national platform for an
- 11:38Speaker 5: evening and Yeah, it's just weird.
- 11:42Speaker 1: I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Elvis did join Witness Protection.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Let's say that part's true and he moved to Argentina
- 11:51Speaker 1: or some shit. I wouldn't be surprised if this is
- 11:54Speaker 1: part of it because Bill Bixby is his friend. And
- 11:58Speaker 1: Bill Bixby is really, over the course of these two specials,
- 12:02Speaker 1: kind of like Travis said, just really throwing everything at
- 12:06Speaker 1: the wall to see what sticks. And that's not how
- 12:09Speaker 1: you should approach this because it's going to just make
- 12:12Speaker 1: it more confusing and convoluted. He asks a good question
- 12:16Speaker 1: at one point. They're talking about the Elvis recording where
- 12:19Speaker 1: he's alleged to have said Reagan got shot. And they
- 12:22Speaker 1: bring on this UCLA professor who's like, nah, that's not
- 12:26Speaker 1: fucking Elvis. And Bill Bixby is like, All right, so
- 12:30Speaker 1: that's not Elvis. That begs the question, who made that
- 12:33Speaker 1: tape and why? And then instead of pulling on that
- 12:36Speaker 1: thread a little more, he's like, Anyway, 59 cent cheeseburgers.
- 12:39Speaker 4: We'll be right back.
- 12:40Speaker 1: And it's like, but yeah, why?
- 12:43Speaker 4: Like, why did someone make that recording? To what end?
- 12:46Speaker 4: Was it just trolling?
- 12:48Speaker 1: And if it was just trolling, was it the government
- 12:50Speaker 1: trolling to throw people.
- 12:52Speaker 4: Off the track? Why was that video made?
- 12:55Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:55Speaker 3: There's so much of this that makes no sense because yeah,
- 12:58Speaker 3: if that video was made and that's really him, why
- 13:00Speaker 3: are you obscuring his face? You're already doing the work clearly.
- 13:04Speaker 3: And then all of the, yeah, he Bixby. I think
- 13:08Speaker 3: it's important to bring up Bixby using his relationship with
- 13:12Speaker 3: Elvis as a thing because he constantly at the end is.
- 13:15Speaker 2: Like, well, I'm friends with Elvis.
- 13:16Speaker 3: So, you know, or when he's walking around with Larry
- 13:19Speaker 3: Geller and they start talking about Elvis's house and he's.
- 13:21Speaker 2: Like, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. The house. I know I've
- 13:23Speaker 2: been there.
- 13:23Speaker 5: The big house. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 13:26Speaker 3: If you're friends with this guy, why are you trying
- 13:28Speaker 3: to get him fucking killed, bro?
- 13:29Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 13:30Speaker 3: But during the call ins that one woman calls in
- 13:33Speaker 3: and is like, do you think Elvis is stupid? And
- 13:36Speaker 3: it's so clear that she's setting up, though, because if
- 13:40Speaker 3: any of this stuff is true, then you're saying Elvis
- 13:43Speaker 3: is stupid because he would have to be stupid to
- 13:46Speaker 3: do this, this and this.
- 13:47Speaker 2: But he doesn't even let her get a word in.
- 13:49Speaker 3: As soon as she says that, he's like, we're killing
- 13:51Speaker 3: this call. I'm going to say, well, I don't think
- 13:53Speaker 3: he's stupid because I was friends with him and I'm
- 13:55Speaker 3: not friends.
- 13:55Speaker 2: With stupid people or whatever the fuck he says. Bye bye.
- 13:58Speaker 2: And then, yeah, it's moving on. It's a lot of
- 14:02Speaker 2: moving on.
- 14:02Speaker 3: It's a thing that has a lot of questions attached
- 14:05Speaker 3: and we're not going to ask any of them.
- 14:06Speaker 5: Yeah, we're going to give a microphone. No, we're going
- 14:09Speaker 5: to give a microphone to the audience. And here's a
- 14:11Speaker 5: guy who looks like he's from King of the Hill
- 14:13Speaker 5: asking a question with a British accent. Don't you think
- 14:17Speaker 5: it's going on because people don't care enough about American
- 14:20Speaker 5: people and their music? What?
- 14:23Speaker 2: Well, Boomhauer was actually British. That's a thing people don't
- 14:26Speaker 2: know about.
- 14:27Speaker 5: Oh, interesting.
- 14:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:28Speaker 1: Yeah, Joe Esposito, I found, he's kind of the final
- 14:33Speaker 1: boss in these.
- 14:35Speaker 4: He comes up, he was part of Elvis's inner circle.
- 14:38Speaker 2: Well, he was there.
- 14:39Speaker 4: Yeah, he's just like, I would know. Yeah, that's why
- 14:41Speaker 4: I don't trust you.
- 14:42Speaker 1: You would know if Elvis joined Witness Protection, and you
- 14:46Speaker 1: would not be honest about it.
- 14:47Speaker 4: And I don't blame you.
- 14:49Speaker 1: I understand why you're sitting in front of Bill Bixby
- 14:54Speaker 1: being like, Man, fuck you.
- 14:55Speaker 4: Of course this didn't happen. Of course you're going to
- 14:57Speaker 4: want to protect your friends. So I find it hard.
- 15:00Speaker 1: To trust people like Joe Esposito in stuff like this.
- 15:05Speaker 1: And I did find it interesting where in a previous interview,
- 15:09Speaker 1: because Bill Bixby does call him on this. He goes, well,
- 15:12Speaker 1: what about that interview where you mentioned how Elvis feels
- 15:15Speaker 1: about the situation? And Joe Esposito's like, oh, well, I
- 15:19Speaker 1: just meant because Elvis is always in my heart.
- 15:21Speaker 4: Shut up.
- 15:22Speaker 1: Shut the fuck up. No, you don't talk that way.
- 15:25Speaker 1: You're not a guy who says, oh, this is always
- 15:27Speaker 1: in my heart. You just fucking slipped up, dude.
- 15:30Speaker 5: I think I was not speaking to him earlier. I
- 15:34Speaker 5: just meant, yeah, nothing. Next caller.
- 15:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:40Speaker 3: That all that stuff and ending with him and Larry
- 15:42Speaker 3: Geller is just and also it just seems like a
- 15:46Speaker 3: way so that Bill Bixby can end with being like, well,
- 15:49Speaker 3: we've looked.
- 15:49Speaker 2: At all this. And guess what? I think Elvis is dead.
- 15:52Speaker 4: Sorry.
- 15:53Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 15:53Speaker 2: I don't know why I wasted my time with this
- 15:55Speaker 2: for two episodes.
- 15:56Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 15:56Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 15:57Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 15:57Speaker 5: And even Larry Geller.
- 16:02Speaker 1: Gellan, he doesn't pull on the strings he needs to
- 16:05Speaker 1: pull on. He lets Larry talk all about how Elvis
- 16:08Speaker 1: just had these honorary badges and there was nothing to it.
- 16:11Speaker 4: Am I crazy? Does he ever mention the black book?
- 16:14Speaker 4: I don't think he does.
- 16:16Speaker 1: No, no.
- 16:18Speaker 5: What's the black?
- 16:19Speaker 1: In Larry Gellan's book that he wrote about Elvis, he
- 16:23Speaker 1: claims that at a 1976 concert in Cincinnati, they were
- 16:28Speaker 1: on the road. He was at a hotel in Cincinnati
- 16:30Speaker 1: and He claims Elvis showed him this book that was
- 16:35Speaker 1: a book that the DEA put out that was just
- 16:38Speaker 1: a listing of narcotics agents and that Elvis was.
- 16:42Speaker 4: In that book. And they don't mention that here, which
- 16:45Speaker 4: seems weird.
- 16:47Speaker 5: No, the only black book in this is he somehow
- 16:51Speaker 5: has the reservation book from the restaurant where John Burroughs
- 16:56Speaker 5: ate at. And he holds that up and says, look,
- 16:58Speaker 5: he made a reservation under this name.
- 17:01Speaker 4: Yeah. But they never mentioned that claim.
- 17:03Speaker 5: No, they never mentioned this DEA book.
- 17:05Speaker 1: That Elvis was listed in a listing of DEA agents
- 17:09Speaker 1: or federal narcotics agents.
- 17:11Speaker 5: That seems like a terrible idea.
- 17:14Speaker 4: Sure does.
- 17:15Speaker 5: To just have that in print. Well, great. Now we
- 17:18Speaker 5: know who to kill.
- 17:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:19Speaker 1: How's that going to work? You hold up your badge
- 17:21Speaker 1: and you say, no, I'm DEA. And the other DEA
- 17:24Speaker 1: agents like, all right, let me consult the book.
- 17:26Speaker 5: Fucking turn to page 98 look at line seven that's
- 17:29Speaker 5: me my.
- 17:31Speaker 4: Name's listen to john burroughs yeah what i told nixon
- 17:34Speaker 4: my name was.
- 17:36Speaker 3: I do think that elvis and larry geller had sex
- 17:39Speaker 3: i do think that they i do.
- 17:41Speaker 2: Larry geller stuff is odd.
- 17:44Speaker 5: Larry geller was his hairstylist astrology advisor he was talking
- 17:50Speaker 5: to me he's like And then Elvis was like, if
- 17:52Speaker 5: you really want to know some stuff, I'm going to
- 17:55Speaker 5: tell you about this book. Maybe that's where the numerology
- 17:58Speaker 5: stuff came from, because he didn't get into the spirituality stuff.
- 18:02Speaker 5: But it was like, whose hairstylist is also their crystal clutching,
- 18:07Speaker 5: number waving shaman? Yeah.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Unless they're fucking, you know what I mean? Right.
- 18:14Speaker 3: Right.
- 18:14Speaker 4: And here's the thing.
- 18:15Speaker 1: Even when he says, oh, Elvis's badges were just honorary.
- 18:18Speaker 1: Motherfucker Elvis wouldn't tell you. In no world is someone
- 18:22Speaker 1: who's actually an undercover cop going to be like, no,
- 18:25Speaker 1: for real. I'm an undercover cop. I know you think
- 18:27Speaker 1: this is just fake, but I'm actually here to.
- 18:29Speaker 4: Spy on you for doing drugs. I think here's the thing.
- 18:31Speaker 4: I think Elvis was a narc at the very least.
- 18:34Speaker 5: I don't.
- 18:34Speaker 2: Yeah, I can.
- 18:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:36Speaker 2: I don't think that's much of a conspiracy.
- 18:38Speaker 5: Like full time or as a hobby just because he
- 18:40Speaker 5: liked law enforcement so much. Or do you think it
- 18:42Speaker 5: was like.
- 18:43Speaker 4: That's a question.
- 18:44Speaker 1: One of the things about Elvis, did he have hobbies
- 18:47Speaker 1: or did he just have fucking passions?
- 18:49Speaker 4: Karate.
- 18:50Speaker 2: Oh, that's a passion. That was a passion too.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Yeah, karate was not a fucking hobby for him. He
- 18:55Speaker 1: was like a fifth degree black belt, whatever the highest
- 18:59Speaker 1: degree black belt you can be. And that I thought
- 19:02Speaker 1: was one of the interesting questions about the body in
- 19:04Speaker 1: the casket. Why were there no calluses or anything on
- 19:08Speaker 1: his hands if he did?
- 19:10Speaker 2: He just took a belt sander and just....
- 19:14Speaker 3: Sure.
- 19:14Speaker 1: Maybe.
- 19:15Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 19:17Speaker 3: Morticians get serious with their fixes, you know?
- 19:19Speaker 1: I think that's where his cousin went wrong when he
- 19:22Speaker 1: was talking about Elvis's body in the casket. Because the
- 19:26Speaker 1: first thing he says is, Elvis will break bricks with.
- 19:28Speaker 4: His hands all the time.
- 19:30Speaker 1: It's like, all right, well, I'm not even listening anymore.
- 19:32Speaker 1: But that was true, is the problem.
- 19:34Speaker 5: Yeah. I remember that and being like, wait, what?
- 19:37Speaker 4: Yeah, but it was true.
- 19:39Speaker 5: I know, but that just seemed to, it was like,
- 19:41Speaker 5: Elvis was strong. He would just break bricks with his
- 19:43Speaker 5: hands and you're like, wait, what?
- 19:45Speaker 4: Just picking them up and smash them.
- 19:48Speaker 3: I want to say this is somebody who has spent
- 19:50Speaker 3: time in martial arts circles. Those guys are all crazy.
- 19:54Speaker 3: And they're all these weird, delusional nutcases. And they all
- 19:57Speaker 3: want to be cops. So Elvis, as a karate guy,
- 20:00Speaker 3: totally checks out. They're always lying about shit. They're always
- 20:04Speaker 3: making stories up. They're all fucking nutcases.
- 20:08Speaker 5: I hope Elvis was the karate guy I've always encountered
- 20:10Speaker 5: who's like, all right, now come at me real slow.
- 20:12Speaker 5: I'll show you what I do. And they'll make you
- 20:14Speaker 5: come like you're going to punch him in super slow motion,
- 20:16Speaker 5: and then they'll throw you on the ground. And you're like, well,
- 20:18Speaker 5: I wasn't really trying to punch you, dude. You told
- 20:20Speaker 5: me to move at you slowly. Yeah. I mean, what
- 20:23Speaker 5: are you going to.
- 20:23Speaker 2: Be, the guy who actually punches Elvis? No.
- 20:26Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 20:27Speaker 1: If a karate guy asked me that, I would just
- 20:29Speaker 1: slowly mimic pulling out a gun.
- 20:31Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 20:33Speaker 4: Like, all right, what are you going to do?
- 20:35Speaker 2: And then with your other hand, pull out a real
- 20:37Speaker 2: gun and shoot him.
- 20:38Speaker 1: Yeah, that was always, what was the Steven Seagal movie?
- 20:41Speaker 1: Was it on dangerous ground? What was that movie called?
- 20:44Speaker 2: It was on deadly ground with Michael Caine.
- 20:46Speaker 1: I don't remember, but there's a scene where he pulls
- 20:48Speaker 1: out a badge in the middle of a bar and
- 20:50Speaker 1: is like.
- 20:51Speaker 4: If anyone can take this from me, $ 500.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Someone would have just shot you from the corner of
- 20:56Speaker 1: the fucking bar.
- 20:56Speaker 2: That sounds like above the law or maybe out for justice.
- 20:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:00Speaker 5: It sounds like all of his movies. I think he
- 21:02Speaker 5: does that in every one of them. I think he
- 21:05Speaker 5: even does that in life. I think he puts down
- 21:07Speaker 5: a 59 cent cheeseburger and he goes, but anyone can
- 21:09Speaker 5: take this from me.
- 21:13Speaker 4: And before he's done talking, it's gone.
- 21:14Speaker 5: Because he ate it.
- 21:18Speaker 4: Someone give me a guitar.
- 21:21Speaker 5: I've got to sing some songs from the crystal cave.
- 21:24Speaker 2: My name is Civil Nora, everybody.
- 21:25Speaker 4: Why would you do that?
- 21:27Speaker 2: Why?
- 21:27Speaker 3: Why would you just make your name your backwards name
- 21:30Speaker 3: and then start doing music?
- 21:32Speaker 1: Did either of you know, this is a thing I
- 21:35Speaker 1: brought up on the first episode, but this is more
- 21:37Speaker 1: related to our music pod than anything. Did you know
- 21:41Speaker 1: about a year or so after Elvis died, Sun Records
- 21:46Speaker 1: released an album by a sounded like Elvis and wore
- 21:54Speaker 1: a mask.
- 21:56Speaker 3: Is that where GBG got the title for her first novel?
- 22:00Speaker 4: No.
- 22:00Speaker 1: What's weird is she wrote that novel. She started shopping
- 22:06Speaker 1: it around. And one of the outlets she ended up
- 22:10Speaker 1: shopping it around to was the William Morris Agency. which
- 22:13Speaker 1: she later found out was very closely related to Elvis
- 22:16Speaker 1: and Colonel Tom Parker. Someone during those negotiations took her
- 22:22Speaker 1: book and spun it into this Orion character without her permission.
- 22:28Speaker 1: So the prologue from her Orion book is on the
- 22:31Speaker 1: back of that Orion album.
- 22:34Speaker 5: That's amazing.
- 22:35Speaker 1: She said when she approached Sun Records about it, they
- 22:37Speaker 1: were like, Sue us.
- 22:38Speaker 4: What are you going to do?
- 22:40Speaker 3: So that's probably why her book was disappearing from bookstores
- 22:43Speaker 3: then is because Sun Records and William Morris Agency were like, yeah,
- 22:47Speaker 3: get this out of here.
- 22:48Speaker 2: We don't need any.
- 22:49Speaker 4: No, they were promoting.
- 22:50Speaker 2: We don't need them having any proof.
- 22:51Speaker 5: No, they were wanted.
- 22:53Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 22:53Speaker 5: It's promoting. Value added.
- 22:55Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 22:55Speaker 3: Look.
- 22:56Speaker 1: Her argument, and I don't know, but her whole line
- 23:00Speaker 1: of thinking originally was that she wrote this book about
- 23:03Speaker 1: a musician faking his death and that the details were
- 23:08Speaker 1: so similar to Elvis's. in real life that it spooked people.
- 23:12Speaker 1: And she does have letters from associates of Elvis who
- 23:16Speaker 1: are like, yeah, you really fucking nailed Elvis's life in
- 23:19Speaker 1: this book.
- 23:20Speaker 4: What the fuck, lady?
- 23:21Speaker 1: And she says she was just writing it as a
- 23:24Speaker 1: work of fiction. And yeah, all of that stuff, I
- 23:27Speaker 1: talked about it on the first episode. It's all very strange.
- 23:29Speaker 5: Oh, okay.
- 23:30Speaker 2: Well, I'll just have to listen to that episode.
- 23:32Speaker 1: I think this is all way simpler than it's made
- 23:36Speaker 1: out to be. I think Elvis, if he joined Witness Protection,
- 23:39Speaker 1: he just joined Witness Protection. I don't think there was
- 23:43Speaker 1: a body. I don't think there was an autopsy. I mean,
- 23:45Speaker 1: you could make a fucking wax figure and put it
- 23:47Speaker 1: in a coffin. That's not impossible. But I didn't put
- 23:51Speaker 1: it in the notes for this episode. But I mentioned
- 23:54Speaker 1: on the last episode, the reason I think all of
- 23:57Speaker 1: the medical examiners report All of that is just people lying.
- 24:02Speaker 1: Because it raises the question, well, then who was in
- 24:05Speaker 1: the autopsy room? Who was this autopsy being done on?
- 24:08Speaker 1: And one of the popular fan theories is that a
- 24:12Speaker 1: man from England who was dying of cancer approached Elvis
- 24:16Speaker 1: and offered to help in some way in exchange for
- 24:22Speaker 1: being the body that's found when Elvis died. Elvis would
- 24:26Speaker 1: financially take care of this guy's family. One, that either
- 24:29Speaker 1: means Elvis and his team consensually killed a guy to
- 24:33Speaker 1: make this plot work, or two, that guy just died.
- 24:36Speaker 4: Exactly on the day they needed him to. None of
- 24:39Speaker 4: that happened.
- 24:40Speaker 5: It also implies there is a casting call for dead Elvis.
- 24:44Speaker 5: They knew this was going to happen.
- 24:46Speaker 2: How did this guy hear about it? If this news
- 24:49Speaker 2: is getting across the pond?
- 24:51Speaker 5: I'm not going to be faking the old death. I'm dying.
- 24:54Speaker 5: You can use me.
- 24:55Speaker 4: Oh, so naturally.
- 24:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:59Speaker 2: The Biebs said.
- 25:00Speaker 1: And one of the claims you see about this theory,
- 25:04Speaker 1: which to me is a little citation needed, is that
- 25:08Speaker 1: it would take a thousand people who are all lying
- 25:11Speaker 1: to pull this off.
- 25:13Speaker 3: What?
- 25:13Speaker 4: No, it would take 15 or 20.
- 25:15Speaker 1: You wouldn't need that many people to lie. You would
- 25:17Speaker 1: need his closest inner circle. You would need to lie.
- 25:22Speaker 1: Other than that, people could just never know.
- 25:24Speaker 5: Yeah, it gives credence to the whole didn't just allow
- 25:28Speaker 5: all the crazy people to talk because now you have
- 25:30Speaker 5: a thousand misdirections just of people doing whatever the fuck
- 25:33Speaker 5: they want to say. You just got to have the
- 25:34Speaker 5: same little people.
- 25:35Speaker 3: There were conspiracies about him when he was a fucking
- 25:38Speaker 3: when he was alive, you know, like that.
- 25:40Speaker 2: That Johnny Hera, who they bring in, who was mistaken.
- 25:43Speaker 3: He was front page news in Denver when they thought
- 25:47Speaker 3: he was actually Elvis, when Elvis was still alive.
- 25:50Speaker 5: I think he is actually Elvis. I think that was
- 25:52Speaker 5: the big plot twist of the whole second episode is
- 25:55Speaker 5: that they bring out this heavyset guy who looks and
- 25:57Speaker 5: sounds just like Elvis. And there's an Elvis impersonator. I'm like,
- 26:01Speaker 5: that's just Bill Bixby's buddy right there. Just doing him
- 26:03Speaker 5: a solid. Yeah.
- 26:05Speaker 3: And look, Bill asked him a lot of questions, but
- 26:08Speaker 3: one question he never asked was, Hey, Are you really
- 26:11Speaker 3: Elvis Presley?
- 26:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 26:13Speaker 3: So Elvis can say he didn't lie, you know?
- 26:17Speaker 1: I like that they do a poll at the end
- 26:18Speaker 1: of this and 70% of Americans are convinced Elvis is
- 26:23Speaker 1: still alive.
- 26:25Speaker 5: Well, my big takeaway from the end of that was
- 26:29Speaker 5: Larry Geller is talking and Bill asks him some esoteric
- 26:32Speaker 5: question about Elvis living on. And Larry goes crazy. Elvis
- 26:38Speaker 5: will live on forever. And he's like, what do you mean?
- 26:40Speaker 5: He goes, like me, you, Martin Luther King. And he
- 26:44Speaker 5: just starts naming random people. And it was like, why?
- 26:48Speaker 5: He goes, we all live forever.
- 26:50Speaker 2: He brings up somebody else.
- 26:52Speaker 3: The first name he mentions actually is, oh my God,
- 26:55Speaker 3: it's somebody else. It's another celebrity who died.
- 26:57Speaker 2: And I can't remember. Oh.
- 26:59Speaker 4: It's not Wayne Newton.
- 27:00Speaker 2: It's escaping me.
- 27:02Speaker 3: No, it was somebody else that had recently died. And
- 27:06Speaker 3: then he says, Martin Luther King Jr.
- 27:08Speaker 2: you.
- 27:09Speaker 4: John Lennon.
- 27:09Speaker 3: It's like, all right, dude, he does bring up John Lennon.
- 27:13Speaker 3: But the first one he says is such a weird,
- 27:15Speaker 3: deep cut one, too.
- 27:16Speaker 5: And what stood out to me was while the Elvis
- 27:20Speaker 5: conspiracy show was filmed in 1992, by 1993, Bill Bixby
- 27:25Speaker 5: had passed away. So it seems like Larry Geller was
- 27:28Speaker 5: threatening Bill Bixby. It seems like he was like, you're
- 27:31Speaker 5: going to die soon.
- 27:32Speaker 3: Bill Bixby died six days or something after filming an
- 27:37Speaker 3: episode of Blossom and only a few days after playing
- 27:40Speaker 3: golf with James Woods.
- 27:41Speaker 5: So, OK, all important info.
- 27:45Speaker 2: I feel like James Woods was involved in Bill Bixby's
- 27:47Speaker 2: death is what I'm trying to say.
- 27:49Speaker 4: Let me tell you.
- 27:49Speaker 2: And maybe Mayim Bialik.
- 27:51Speaker 1: I know public opinion has turned on him, and for
- 27:53Speaker 1: good reason. But I walked past James Woods outside Dantana's once.
- 27:58Speaker 5: Yes, you did.
- 27:59Speaker 4: And that man smelled remarkable. Oh, he smelled good. It
- 28:04Speaker 4: was nuts.
- 28:05Speaker 5: You smelled him on the way to Steve Earle.
- 28:08Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah. Oh, yeah, that's right. It was Steve Earle
- 28:10Speaker 4: where I saw him. Hollywood legend James Woods outside.
- 28:13Speaker 3: That wasn't James Woods. That was just Steve Earle. He
- 28:16Speaker 3: smells like that for a six block radius.
- 28:18Speaker 5: I was I hadn't seen Adam in person because this
- 28:21Speaker 5: was during all of the COVID shit. It was the
- 28:23Speaker 5: first time we'd meet up in a while and we're
- 28:25Speaker 5: meeting up in person. And the first thing he says,
- 28:27Speaker 5: he was like, I just saw James Woods.
- 28:32Speaker 3: Interesting fact that gets buried. This was how Bill Bixby
- 28:36Speaker 3: spent his birthday in 1991.
- 28:37Speaker 2: That's right. Somebody asked, somebody says happy birthday to him.
- 28:44Speaker 4: Yeah, they have to do it on his birthday. Come on.
- 28:46Speaker 5: Right, man. BB's a working man. He just wanted to,
- 28:49Speaker 5: you know, he was about to work.
- 28:51Speaker 1: So I think the ultimate question here is, was Bill
- 28:54Speaker 1: Bixby murdered for his involvement in these documents?
- 28:57Speaker 5: A hundred percent. Clearly.
- 28:59Speaker 4: Absolutely.
- 28:59Speaker 5: Yeah. He overturned the wrong stone. He asked the wrong questions.
- 29:03Speaker 5: He put actual Elvis on television because that's who Johnny
- 29:06Speaker 5: Harrow was. And so he had to be punished.
- 29:09Speaker 1: Speaking of the wrong questions, I'm not going to ask
- 29:13Speaker 1: the wrong question, which is, was Bill Lou Ferrigno involved?
- 29:17Speaker 1: I'm going to ask the right question, which is why
- 29:20Speaker 1: was Lou Ferrigno involved?
- 29:22Speaker 5: That's a good question. The answer is not as simple
- 29:25Speaker 5: as you think. We have to go back.
- 29:27Speaker 2: It goes deeper.
- 29:29Speaker 5: Yeah. I have to go back to the very first
- 29:32Speaker 5: bodybuilding contest that Lou Ferrigno was in.
- 29:35Speaker 2: I'm going to be honest.
- 29:36Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 29:37Speaker 3: He's not here to talk about it anymore that we
- 29:40Speaker 3: know of.
- 29:41Speaker 5: But who?
- 29:42Speaker 3: Stan Lee of Marvel Comics. I think he's the linchpin.
- 29:47Speaker 4: Oh, could be. Could be. If nothing else, he killed
- 29:49Speaker 4: Bill Bixby.
- 29:50Speaker 5: Probably. If you look at Lou Ferrigno's career post Bill Bixby. What?
- 29:57Speaker 5: He goes on to be, yeah, he goes on to
- 29:59Speaker 5: be on King of Queens playing himself. He goes on
- 30:02Speaker 5: to be on Celebrity Apprentice. He only ever plays himself.
- 30:06Speaker 5: That's not true. Okay. He played Hercules.
- 30:08Speaker 4: There's the movie, I Love You Man, where he, nope, nevermind.
- 30:11Speaker 2: He plays himself.
- 30:14Speaker 5: I'm just saying, I think Lou Ferrigno is an asset
- 30:18Speaker 5: closely tied to the Trump administration.
- 30:20Speaker 3: I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if Lou Ferrigno was
- 30:23Speaker 3: some kind of, you know.
- 30:25Speaker 2: Look at him.
- 30:26Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 30:26Speaker 1: You're going to want to use that bod for something.
- 30:28Speaker 1: Why not government shit? So I think we've reached the end.
- 30:31Speaker 1: I think everyone is fully convinced that Lou Ferrigno is Elvis.
- 30:35Speaker 1: Everything in this documentary is correct.
- 30:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 30:38Speaker 1: I don't, again, I think a lot of what's in
- 30:41Speaker 1: this is just smoke and mirrors bullshit.
- 30:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 30:44Speaker 1: I do think Elvis joined witness protection, but I don't
- 30:46Speaker 1: think it's as dramatic as people are making it out
- 30:50Speaker 1: to be in this. I think if he did, he
- 30:52Speaker 1: just fucking got.
- 30:53Speaker 4: Out of here and went and lived somewhere else.
- 30:55Speaker 5: And if he did, he's for sure not alive now.
- 30:58Speaker 2: No, that's this is what throws me. OK, I do.
- 31:03Speaker 3: It's not difficult for me to stretch my belief to, OK,
- 31:08Speaker 3: witness protection. Sure.
- 31:09Speaker 2: Makes sense.
- 31:10Speaker 3: What it is difficult for me to reckon with is
- 31:13Speaker 3: that if he, Elvis is dead now, we would have
- 31:17Speaker 3: heard about it somewhere, right?
- 31:18Speaker 2: It would have, I feel like it would have come
- 31:20Speaker 2: out in some way of, well, he wasn't dead then,
- 31:22Speaker 2: but now he is because he was just too big
- 31:25Speaker 2: a star, you know?
- 31:27Speaker 4: Yeah. Well, here's the thing.
- 31:29Speaker 1: It comes up, I think in this documentary, well, maybe not,
- 31:33Speaker 1: but it's brought up a lot. I've brought it up
- 31:36Speaker 1: a lot on this podcast. There's still a few hundred
- 31:39Speaker 1: pages of Elvis's FBI files that are classified on national
- 31:44Speaker 1: security grounds.
- 31:46Speaker 4: What?
- 31:46Speaker 2: When is that going to get Freedom of Information Acted?
- 31:49Speaker 4: See, that's the thing. His autopsy, I brought up on
- 31:52Speaker 4: one of these episodes.
- 31:53Speaker 1: I think a lot of people have it in their
- 31:56Speaker 1: mind that they know exactly how Elvis died.
- 31:59Speaker 4: And no, you don't. No one knows.
- 32:01Speaker 1: That's not been settled yet. His family had his autopsy
- 32:05Speaker 1: sealed for 50 years.
- 32:09Speaker 5: Oh, he was.
- 32:11Speaker 2: Yeah. He was killed by a ghoulie while on the toilet.
- 32:14Speaker 3: Right.
- 32:15Speaker 2: That's what I read.
- 32:16Speaker 4: I think so.
- 32:16Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 32:17Speaker 1: And so, yeah, his autopsy will be out in two years.
- 32:21Speaker 1: And maybe that is, you know, maybe we'll get some
- 32:25Speaker 1: answers then. Also, maybe they've just been spending the past
- 32:28Speaker 1: 50 years concocting the perfect fake autopsy report.
- 32:34Speaker 5: What if Elvis still living Elvis comes out and goes,
- 32:37Speaker 5: This whole time, I was fine. I'm 97, 92 years
- 32:41Speaker 5: old now, but I'm fine. Everything's great.
- 32:44Speaker 2: You know who's not alive anymore?
- 32:46Speaker 5: Bill Bixby.
- 32:47Speaker 1: What if the plan was he goes public once the
- 32:51Speaker 1: last of the people he set up dies and those
- 32:54Speaker 1: people just never died?
- 32:56Speaker 4: God damn it, man.
- 32:57Speaker 3: What if he's out there hunting down all of the
- 33:00Speaker 3: members of the fraternity?
- 33:02Speaker 1: Yeah, we're going to get a Munich style movie at
- 33:04Speaker 1: some point that's just Elvis taking out fucking wire fraudsters.
- 33:10Speaker 5: If you think about Goodfellas, you know, Henry Hill, by
- 33:13Speaker 5: the end of Henry Hill's life, he was very public
- 33:16Speaker 5: and selling cookbooks. Everybody he tried to put away had died. Yeah.
- 33:20Speaker 2: So I feel like movies made about him.
- 33:22Speaker 5: I feel like we would have gotten a Henry Hill
- 33:25Speaker 5: version of Elvis if he were still alive. He'd have
- 33:27Speaker 5: been like, you know, here's my fried banana sandwich cookbook.
- 33:30Speaker 5: Here's how here's how I'm doing. I feel he would
- 33:33Speaker 5: have come back.
- 33:35Speaker 1: Maybe, but also I think there's an equally good chance
- 33:39Speaker 1: he might have settled into private life for a little
- 33:42Speaker 1: bit and been like, oh, wait, I'm still rich.
- 33:44Speaker 4: This rips. I can just do whatever the fuck I want.
- 33:47Speaker 4: Nobody knows me. I'm never coming back.
- 33:50Speaker 3: It also could be a situation of, you know, he
- 33:54Speaker 3: disappeared literally even from the people who knew where he was.
- 33:57Speaker 3: He went hiking one day and just fell off a
- 34:00Speaker 3: cliff or something. And then, well, fuck, I guess he's
- 34:02Speaker 3: really gone now.
- 34:03Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 34:03Speaker 1: Then it becomes a foster system thing where the government
- 34:06Speaker 1: has to be like, we lost Elvis.
- 34:08Speaker 4: I don't know. No idea. He's off the map.
- 34:11Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 34:11Speaker 2: We don't know.
- 34:13Speaker 5: It's like a Jason Bourne situation. He just shows back
- 34:15Speaker 5: up one day doing shit. And they're like, he's back
- 34:17Speaker 5: on the map. We thought he was done.
- 34:20Speaker 1: Except he's just singing Viva Las Vegas somewhere in Argentina.
- 34:25Speaker 3: I'll fake my death again from you.
- 34:28Speaker 1: And I also think it's possible that if Elvis did
- 34:32Speaker 1: join Witness Protection, I think it's possible he could have
- 34:35Speaker 1: just seen this as a chapter in his life that
- 34:38Speaker 1: was done.
- 34:39Speaker 4: He was 42.
- 34:39Speaker 1: He wasn't an old man.
- 34:41Speaker 3: No, no.
- 34:44Speaker 2: I'm 43 and I'm done.
- 34:46Speaker 1: Yeah, but Elvis could have been like, yeah, I mean,
- 34:49Speaker 1: they bring up that he started adding a cover of
- 34:52Speaker 1: My Way to his concerts on his final tour, which
- 34:56Speaker 1: I know seems kind of inconsequential. But also think about
- 35:00Speaker 1: the lyrics of that song. That's very much someone being like,
- 35:02Speaker 1: all right, well, I did that and that's fucking done.
- 35:06Speaker 1: Now I'm going to go do the rest of my
- 35:08Speaker 1: fucking life.
- 35:09Speaker 5: It's also weird.
- 35:10Speaker 1: Sid Vicious also faked his death, you know? I don't
- 35:13Speaker 1: think he faked his death, but man, I feel like,
- 35:15Speaker 1: I don't know. I feel like the cops killed Sid Vicious.
- 35:19Speaker 2: Courtney Love killed Sid Vicious.
- 35:20Speaker 5: Or do you think Elvis killed Sid Vicious? Because he
- 35:25Speaker 5: had a badge. He was like, oh, look.
- 35:28Speaker 1: What if that's what Elvis did the rest of his days?
- 35:31Speaker 1: He just showed up at Kurt Cobain's place and was like, look, man,
- 35:35Speaker 1: you're so important. You get to know that I'm alive.
- 35:36Speaker 2: Boom.
- 35:39Speaker 3: He's just killing rock stars that had drug problems.
- 35:42Speaker 5: Let me tell you what the problem is. Because he
- 35:43Speaker 5: hates drugs.
- 35:44Speaker 4: Hey, guy from Sublime, want to do some cocaine?
- 35:48Speaker 5: How about counterculture? How about counterlife? That's what's happening right now.
- 35:52Speaker 5: I'm giving you an alternative to living. Kaboom.
- 35:56Speaker 3: Eric Clapton, you better stop doing that cocaine. I'm going
- 35:58Speaker 3: to push a kid out a window. Oh, man.
- 36:01Speaker 5: What did Eric Clapton's kid do?
- 36:02Speaker 4: He was just a toddler.
- 36:04Speaker 2: He was a message.
- 36:05Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
- 36:08Speaker 1: I don't know why you couldn't just take Clapton out directly.
- 36:10Speaker 1: You had to send him a message.
- 36:12Speaker 3: Elvis admired Clapton's racism.
- 36:14Speaker 5: He's just too big. I can't take Clapton, but I
- 36:16Speaker 5: can take his kid. Not a problem.
- 36:18Speaker 3: I'm too, I like the way Clapton steals the blues
- 36:20Speaker 3: from black people too much.
- 36:22Speaker 5: Maybe that was Elvis's born, Jason Bourne moment where he
- 36:27Speaker 5: pushed Clapton's kid out the window and it made him
- 36:30Speaker 5: snap and he went off, he just disappeared and all
- 36:33Speaker 5: of his training dissolved. He didn't, he had disassociation, didn't
- 36:36Speaker 5: know who he was anymore. I think that's why. Oh yeah, amnesia, amnesia.
- 36:40Speaker 3: And yeah, Bradley Newell from Sublime triggered him again.
- 36:45Speaker 1: Imagine being Elvis and having amnesia.
- 36:48Speaker 4: You're just out.
- 36:49Speaker 2: Who am I?
- 36:51Speaker 3: Why are there people talking like me everywhere?
- 36:54Speaker 5: Why am I wearing this very ornate rhinestone suit? I
- 36:57Speaker 5: don't understand.
- 36:59Speaker 3: Why do I keep wanting to break bricks? I'm breaking
- 37:02Speaker 3: five bricks just sitting here.
- 37:03Speaker 5: I don't even know why.
- 37:04Speaker 3: Am I Mario from the Super Mario games?
- 37:08Speaker 4: So I think that's our episode. We did it.
- 37:11Speaker 5: Yeah. I.
- 37:12Speaker 4: We did not recommend... We didn't even talk.
- 37:13Speaker 2: About Monty Nicholson at all, really.
- 37:15Speaker 5: The fucking.
- 37:17Speaker 4: I don't ever want to talk about cops in this.
- 37:20Speaker 3: No.
- 37:20Speaker 4: Yeah, Monty Nicholson, he's another... What a piece of shit.
- 37:23Speaker 4: He's another guy who wrote a book.
- 37:25Speaker 1: But yeah, anytime... LAPD shows up in a conspiracy. It's like,
- 37:29Speaker 1: I know what side you're on. Let's fucking move on
- 37:32Speaker 1: to the next thing.
- 37:33Speaker 5: Wasn't he the LAPD guy that LAPD made fun of
- 37:37Speaker 5: because of his.
- 37:39Speaker 2: Here's the thing. He's not LAPD. He's LASD, which is
- 37:42Speaker 2: even fucking worse.
- 37:43Speaker 5: Oh, he's sheriff. Oh, yeah.
- 37:45Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.
- 37:46Speaker 1: Yeah, that's not his jurisdiction. I don't give a fuck
- 37:48Speaker 1: what that guy has to say about Elvis. Yeah, there's
- 37:51Speaker 1: a lot in this we didn't talk about. And that's
- 37:54Speaker 1: the thing. I don't really recommend these documentaries. Listen, not
- 37:59Speaker 1: to be that guy, but I feel like you've heard
- 38:01Speaker 1: everything you need to hear about.
- 38:02Speaker 4: The death of Elvis.
- 38:06Speaker 1: The books, all the books, everything out there is a
- 38:09Speaker 1: lot like this, where- There's some kernels of what seems
- 38:14Speaker 1: like might be the truth, reference to our corn podcast.
- 38:17Speaker 4: But then there's also just.
- 38:19Speaker 1: A lot of bullshit that is clearly fake that is
- 38:23Speaker 1: meant to muddy the waters a little bit.
- 38:26Speaker 2: Hey, muddy waters.
- 38:29Speaker 1: I think the most compelling thing is the way the
- 38:32Speaker 1: Frederick Peter Pro investigation and Elvis's last days as a
- 38:37Speaker 1: public figure line up. I think that is the most
- 38:39Speaker 1: compelling shit. I think them sending it to a grand
- 38:43Speaker 1: jury the day before he disappears, I think is highly
- 38:46Speaker 1: fucking compelling. The fact that several people... went to prison
- 38:50Speaker 1: over it. Some of them ended up being informants themselves.
- 38:54Speaker 1: And when all that is announced, then they put out
- 38:56Speaker 1: the medical examiner's report. I think it's just simpler than
- 38:59Speaker 1: people are making it out to be.
- 39:01Speaker 3: The Operation Fountain Pen stuff, that's where the meat is.
- 39:05Speaker 3: And they spend so little time with it.
- 39:07Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 39:08Speaker 1: And what's frustrating is Gail Brewer-Giorgio in the last Elvis
- 39:13Speaker 1: book of hers that I covered said, Talks about her
- 39:15Speaker 1: upcoming Operation Fountain Pen book.
- 39:18Speaker 4: And that never happened. I don't know.
- 39:19Speaker 2: No, they got her.
- 39:21Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know.
- 39:22Speaker 1: But I think that is really the crux here. And
- 39:26Speaker 1: one important thing about Operation Fountain Pen, because you're right,
- 39:28Speaker 1: they don't bring it up enough. in this documentary is
- 39:32Speaker 1: at one point during that while they're investigating frederick peter
- 39:36Speaker 1: pro he tried to have someone killed who was going
- 39:39Speaker 1: to testify against him so it's very possible that this
- 39:43Speaker 1: whole time elvis was like oh This is fun side
- 39:46Speaker 1: police work. And then at one point, the FBI was like, actually,
- 39:49Speaker 1: this guy's going to fucking murder you if this goes awry.
- 39:53Speaker 1: So we might actually need you to disappear forever.
- 39:57Speaker 2: It's all because Elvis wanted to sell one of his planes.
- 40:01Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 40:02Speaker 4: Crazy.
- 40:03Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 40:03Speaker 4: Crazy, man. But yeah, I don't know. We're never going
- 40:06Speaker 4: to know.
- 40:06Speaker 1: We're never going to know.
- 40:08Speaker 5: Until he shows up as a guest on the podcast.
- 40:11Speaker 5: That's when we get 92 year old Elvis.
- 40:13Speaker 3: Yeah. That'd be a good get. Fuck you guy from
- 40:15Speaker 3: Eve six. We've got Elvis.
- 40:18Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 40:21Speaker 5: Jesus.
- 40:22Speaker 1: So, all right, let's try this again. I think that's
- 40:25Speaker 1: our episode. Andy, Travis, thank you so much for joining
- 40:30Speaker 1: me on conspiracy. The show, everyone who listens to conspiracy,
- 40:34Speaker 1: the show should also check out. You don't even like
- 40:36Speaker 1: this band. I'm going to put the whole first Fleetwood
- 40:39Speaker 1: Mac season out publicly soon.
- 40:41Speaker 5: Nice.
- 40:42Speaker 4: By the time you hear this, it should be up.
- 40:43Speaker 1: And then there's a whole second Fleetwood Mac season that
- 40:47Speaker 1: is currently for subscribers only that you can subscribe and
- 40:51Speaker 1: listen to.
- 40:51Speaker 4: And then. We're going to be back with another season soon.
- 40:54Speaker 4: I don't know who we're going to cover, but we'll.
- 40:56Speaker 5: Figure it out.
- 40:57Speaker 4: Maybe Elvis.
- 40:58Speaker 1: In the meantime, what do we have to plug before
- 41:00Speaker 1: we get out of here? AdamToddBrown.substack.com.
- 41:02Speaker 4: That's all I got. Andy, what do you got to plug?
- 41:05Speaker 3: Live from the Imperial Palace Casino. Look good for the boys.
- 41:10Speaker 3: New episodes are up. Season seven is going.
- 41:13Speaker 2: And that's it. That's all I got.
- 41:16Speaker 5: I got nothing to plug plug, but you can follow
- 41:18Speaker 5: me on Instagram at Track Rivals. I'm posting all my
- 41:21Speaker 5: hiking shit there, and I am going to be attempting
- 41:24Speaker 5: Mount Whitney in two weeks. So you can follow along
- 41:28Speaker 5: if you want to see if I live.
- 41:30Speaker 4: You're going to live. Don't be that way.
- 41:32Speaker 3: Unless.
- 41:33Speaker 4: The fraternity gets you.
- 41:34Speaker 5: I'm telling you, three people have died on that mountain
- 41:37Speaker 5: this in the past month. So it's a dangerous spot.
- 41:40Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 41:40Speaker 4: Sounds fun. Sounds fun. Well, be safe and let's get
- 41:44Speaker 4: the fuck out of here. Andy, say goodbye.
- 41:46Speaker 2: Please don't die, Travis. Goodbye.
- 41:48Speaker 4: Travis, say goodbye, but not forever.
- 41:50Speaker 5: Goodbye, but not forever, mama.
- 41:53Speaker 4: Goodbye, everybody. We love you.
- 41:59Speaker 5: People of Earth, your planet is about to be destroyed.
- 42:13Speaker 1: Your planet is about to be destroyed.
