Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:05Speaker 2: This is part two the Almost Famous podcast. We are
- 0:08Speaker 2: breaking down the finale and everything about the finale. If
- 0:11Speaker 2: you haven't listened to part one, you should. I talked
- 0:14Speaker 2: about the love story, the exits, the proposals, it's really beautiful.
- 0:18Speaker 2: But now we're going to talk about the live segment
- 0:21Speaker 2: of the show along with the bachelorette announcement. Ashley, let's
- 0:26Speaker 2: start with the live show kind of the in person
- 0:29Speaker 2: meetings for the first time since.
- 0:32Speaker 3: They went as well as you can.
- 0:34Speaker 4: As we were talking about in the last episode, it's
- 0:37Speaker 4: kind of nice that.
- 0:40Speaker 3: It ended the way.
- 0:40Speaker 4: It did between Daisy and Joey because like there's just
- 0:44Speaker 4: such a nice, polite hearted rapport between them, because it
- 0:49Speaker 4: was like a lot of acceptance when Daisy came out.
- 0:52Speaker 4: It wasn't going to be like the what happened, like
- 0:55Speaker 4: is what was I missing?
- 0:57Speaker 3: La La La?
- 0:58Speaker 4: Because she is the one who was like, I know
- 1:01Speaker 4: that this isn't right, and then he was like, yeah,
- 1:02Speaker 4: you're right, this isn't right. So that they just got
- 1:05Speaker 4: to rejoin each other, and they really do seem to
- 1:08Speaker 4: want the best for each other.
- 1:10Speaker 2: So here's gonna be my take that I don't even
- 1:13Speaker 2: know if I agree with. But I want to Justin
- 1:17Speaker 2: and Rachel to comment on this and to probably tell
- 1:20Speaker 2: me I'm crazy, Okay, but it's something I did think about.
- 1:23Speaker 2: It came through my head this whole season. We have
- 1:28Speaker 2: been made to believe and also witnessed some really great
- 1:32Speaker 2: people come through this show and leave this show. But
- 1:35Speaker 2: we've always had a connections on this show that felt
- 1:38Speaker 2: like they far outweighed everybody else, Daisy and Kelsey and
- 1:42Speaker 2: joe Like, you know what, I think we would be
- 1:45Speaker 2: mistaken if not every viewer said it has to be
- 1:47Speaker 2: those two at the end. If not, that's going to
- 1:48Speaker 2: be a shot. So we always had this feeling that
- 1:52Speaker 2: Daisy and Joey had this really deep seated connection, that
- 1:55Speaker 2: there's love there, that there was like a lot of
- 1:58Speaker 2: heartfelt feelings there, and then they say goodbye to each other.
- 2:04Speaker 2: I'm wondering if like it was really that real, it
- 2:08Speaker 2: was really that heavy, How was it so easy then
- 2:11Speaker 2: to move on? So my take is, yes, it's really
- 2:15Speaker 2: great that they all together. I'm so happy they're happy
- 2:17Speaker 2: for each other. I don't think I don't think that
- 2:18Speaker 2: has anything to do with it, But it doesn't even
- 2:21Speaker 2: seem hard for those two to be in the same room.
- 2:24Speaker 2: And I know for me in my experience, I it
- 2:28Speaker 2: was really hard to be in the same room as Jojo.
- 2:30Speaker 2: I did not enjoy that moment. I it was really
- 2:33Speaker 2: awkward for me, not because I didn't want to see
- 2:35Speaker 2: her and it had like ill will towards It was
- 2:36Speaker 2: just like this is this is really heavy, and like
- 2:40Speaker 2: there's a lot of emotion here and a lot of
- 2:41Speaker 2: experiences together. So why does it seem so easy? Like
- 2:46Speaker 2: was the connection Maybe not as much as we were
- 2:48Speaker 2: made to believe. Are they just different types of people
- 2:51Speaker 2: than I am, and a lot nicer and easier to
- 2:53Speaker 2: go along with? Like what's happening? Do you know what
- 2:55Speaker 2: I'm saying?
- 2:57Speaker 5: I think Daisy just had the closure she needed.
- 3:00Speaker 6: And I think a lot of the times, like after
- 3:02Speaker 6: the final holes, can be really really heavy because even
- 3:05Speaker 6: though in our mind we might think there's closure, like
- 3:08Speaker 6: the other person might not feel the same way. And
- 3:10Speaker 6: so sometimes I think that's why I get super tense.
- 3:12Speaker 6: But I think she had months just going through being
- 3:15Speaker 6: really close with Kelsey and just like kind of accepting it.
- 3:18Speaker 6: So maybe that's why it seemed lighter.
- 3:22Speaker 4: Yeah, it seemed like it was like it was almost mutual,
- 3:27Speaker 4: which I mean it wasn't, but it was.
- 3:30Speaker 7: Yeah. I hate to be the naysayer here, but I'm
- 3:33Speaker 7: kind of along with where your thought process has been
- 3:37Speaker 7: because even going from not only my experience, but like
- 3:41Speaker 7: watching the show in general, I feel like, you know,
- 3:44Speaker 7: early on, right when people get one on ones, it's like, oh,
- 3:47Speaker 7: I'm so happy for you that the end was like
- 3:50Speaker 7: when people are still playing that, oh I'm so happy,
- 3:52Speaker 7: it's like, no, you're not. Like if you're actually interested
- 3:55Speaker 7: in that person, you're not happy for them, you know
- 3:57Speaker 7: what I mean, And you don't want to be perceived
- 3:59Speaker 7: this person. It's like bitter or whatever. But it's like
- 4:01Speaker 7: if you really love someone and like that's your girl,
- 4:03Speaker 7: like that's your guy, Like you're not happy to see
- 4:05Speaker 7: them with somebody else. And so I don't know if
- 4:08Speaker 7: it's a matter of the connection wasn't as strong as
- 4:11Speaker 7: we were made to believe it was, or if she
- 4:12Speaker 7: was if days was kind of mentally preparing herself for
- 4:15Speaker 7: the worst, like Okay, I'm coming to grips with essentially
- 4:18Speaker 7: this not being me, and I'm okay with that now
- 4:20Speaker 7: you know, maybe she was, and you know, none of
- 4:22Speaker 7: us can speak for her, but you know, was it
- 4:24Speaker 7: a matter of you know, at this point, I don't
- 4:27Speaker 7: know if house money is the right word, but it's
- 4:29Speaker 7: I want to be with him, but if it's not him,
- 4:31Speaker 7: I'm also okay with that, right because on the other end,
- 4:34Speaker 7: like if it was Kelsey, right, I don't and Kelsey
- 4:38Speaker 7: knew that it wasn't her, I don't think that she
- 4:40Speaker 7: would have handled it the same way. I think she
- 4:42Speaker 7: would have been a lot more distraught than Daisy was, right, So.
- 4:46Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 4:46Speaker 7: I'm kind of I was thinking the same thing. Honestly.
- 4:48Speaker 7: It's like it would be hard for if ready to
- 4:52Speaker 7: marry someone. I don't care if it was Andrew or
- 4:54Speaker 7: Gregg in that room, Like I would be supportive, of course,
- 4:57Speaker 7: but like I wouldn't be holding their hand, like riding
- 5:00Speaker 7: in the car with them, like you go, buddy, Like
- 5:03Speaker 7: I'd be like i'd sit.
- 5:05Speaker 4: You know, both girls were actually really supportive of like
- 5:10Speaker 4: saying I want him to be happy and if his
- 5:12Speaker 4: happiness is with the other one, then I have to
- 5:16Speaker 4: accept that, and because I love him that much, But
- 5:18Speaker 4: I will say that was coming mostly from Daisy.
- 5:21Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, I think And are you asking in the
- 5:26Speaker 8: sense of like them being back in the same room
- 5:28Speaker 8: at AFR, like is.
- 5:30Speaker 2: That I think where we're going is like maybe just
- 5:33Speaker 2: in general, like it felt like it was so easy
- 5:37Speaker 2: for Daisy now and it's like, and that's okay, there's
- 5:39Speaker 2: nothing wrong with that. Maybe she had time to have closure,
- 5:43Speaker 2: she kind of saw the writing on the wall. She
- 5:44Speaker 2: was able to grieve and kind of be like, hey,
- 5:46Speaker 2: this isn't me or whatever. It just felt easier than
- 5:49Speaker 2: most seasons in a season where I expected it to
- 5:52Speaker 2: be harder, not because the two them they don't like
- 5:53Speaker 2: each other, not because they're mad at Joey, just because
- 5:56Speaker 2: what we were made to see on TV was that
- 5:59Speaker 2: their connection were deeper than most seasons we've ever seen.
- 6:04Speaker 8: I think also, your like past dating experiences shape not
- 6:08Speaker 8: only how you are, but how you like carry yourself.
- 6:11Speaker 8: Because the fact that Jesse asked her at the end,
- 6:16Speaker 8: and obviously we don't know like what happened, you know,
- 6:20Speaker 8: if there were conversations about Bachelorette or not, but like
- 6:22Speaker 8: even her saying I'm not like I just need to
- 6:24Speaker 8: focus on me, like I'm happy and healthy, right, now
- 6:27Speaker 8: and that's what's most important. Like I have so much
- 6:29Speaker 8: respect for her to be able to come on that
- 6:31Speaker 8: stage and just be like I'm actually not like there
- 6:34Speaker 8: because I've been in that place before where you're like,
- 6:36Speaker 8: I just have to like focus on me and these
- 6:38Speaker 8: are the things that are important. If it's health and happiness,
- 6:41Speaker 8: I'm going to focus on this. And I know from experience,
- 6:45Speaker 8: like coming off the show, like people mourn the relationships
- 6:49Speaker 8: they lost, so like, I don't think it was as
- 6:52Speaker 8: easy as like, Okay, we're good, Like, you know, Daisy's
- 6:56Speaker 8: probably you know, back to her normal life immediately, and
- 6:59Speaker 8: Joey was probably just you know.
- 7:01Speaker 9: One hundred percent.
- 7:02Speaker 8: And on Kelsey, it's like he went from having two
- 7:04Speaker 8: people that he was falling in love with to then
- 7:07Speaker 8: being in one relationship. And I'm I'm sure that Joey
- 7:09Speaker 8: had to mourn that relationship.
- 7:11Speaker 9: Like I don't know.
- 7:12Speaker 8: If that was your experience when you were the Bachelor,
- 7:14Speaker 8: but like you lose somebody that you really care about,
- 7:18Speaker 8: so there's like sadness in it too. But it has
- 7:21Speaker 8: been a few months, so I think that it's just
- 7:24Speaker 8: like I think it's probably like a whole.
- 7:27Speaker 9: Lot of things, but mostly with Daisy and Joey.
- 7:30Speaker 8: I think everyone can admit they're like very mature, well
- 7:34Speaker 8: rounded kind people.
- 7:35Speaker 9: That's what it seems like.
- 7:36Speaker 8: So I feel like they probably both like rationally thought
- 7:39Speaker 8: about like how is the best way.
- 7:40Speaker 9: To conduct myself?
- 7:41Speaker 8: Like That's how I imagine they went into It wasn't
- 7:43Speaker 8: like let me lead with my emotions and like I want,
- 7:47Speaker 8: you know, my like I need to be heard and
- 7:50Speaker 8: I need my feelings validated like some names in a relationship,
- 7:53Speaker 8: like you don't get your relationship, you don't get your
- 7:56Speaker 8: feelings validated, and you just the end is the end,
- 7:58Speaker 8: and it's like so unfortunate. But so many people are like,
- 8:00Speaker 8: oh I need closure, and I get that, like I
- 8:02Speaker 8: totally do. But I think they both were like this
- 8:04Speaker 8: is not a scenario where you get like everything validated
- 8:08Speaker 8: in full closure, like Joey's in a new relationship, and
- 8:10Speaker 8: like I feel like they both just came in and
- 8:12Speaker 8: were like this freaking sucks and we had to mourn
- 8:15Speaker 8: this loss, but like we're both moving forward and maybe
- 8:18Speaker 8: Daisy's not ready to date yet, but she's like focused
- 8:21Speaker 8: on her health and happiness. So I think it was
- 8:24Speaker 8: like a choice rather than like maybe how she they
- 8:27Speaker 8: really felt.
- 8:29Speaker 4: It could also be a perspective thing, well I do, I.
- 8:32Speaker 2: Think I think you can make a great point, jusee.
- 8:33Speaker 2: It's like your past relationships also kind of, you know,
- 8:37Speaker 2: determine how you're going to date in the future. And
- 8:38Speaker 2: then they both probably were like, hey, I still like you,
- 8:41Speaker 2: like you're still a good human. I mean, Rachel, obviously
- 8:44Speaker 2: you sat in the seat as a bachelor, Like how
- 8:46Speaker 2: good of a feeling would have been for you? And
- 8:48Speaker 2: maybe it did happen, I don't remember, but like you
- 8:51Speaker 2: are sad, you are confused. There really is no closure
- 8:55Speaker 2: on this show, Like I know it looks like there is,
- 8:57Speaker 2: but like you don't get the like intense conversation where
- 8:59Speaker 2: it's like, you know what, I really did care about you.
- 9:01Speaker 2: I will always care about you. You're going to always
- 9:03Speaker 2: be a part of my life and my story, and
- 9:05Speaker 2: you know it just wasn't right between us, and you
- 9:07Speaker 2: get to kind of go back and forth for a
- 9:08Speaker 2: bit and maybe even fight for bit. You don't get
- 9:10Speaker 2: this on the show typically, but it would have been
- 9:15Speaker 2: the best thing in your life or in the for
- 9:19Speaker 2: this season of life. If you're runner up, would have
- 9:22Speaker 2: treated you the a Daisy treated to Joey and just
- 9:25Speaker 2: and Joey vice versa back to Daisy, but just to
- 9:28Speaker 2: give you that like, hey, I know you're like I
- 9:30Speaker 2: believe in you still, like I still think you're great.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Like this just didn't work out with us. It would
- 9:36Speaker 2: have felt so good. And I did get that a
- 9:37Speaker 2: lot with Jojo. She was terrific to me. But I
- 9:41Speaker 2: just think it Susie's right, Like it was a mature
- 9:43Speaker 2: decision from both of them to say, hey, this is
- 9:45Speaker 2: how we're going to do this thing.
- 9:46Speaker 4: I think that, like just Daisy has a very special
- 9:50Speaker 4: personality where she is just always going to be positive,
- 9:55Speaker 4: and I think that because of what she went through
- 9:59Speaker 4: health wise, have a different perspective or she's like, well
- 10:02Speaker 4: if I'm healthy and I've got my family, then I'm
- 10:08Speaker 4: going to be all good.
- 10:10Speaker 6: Yeah, that's a really good point because even being there,
- 10:13Speaker 6: like she just is so sweet and just so genuine
- 10:17Speaker 6: like who you saw on stage is who she is
- 10:19Speaker 6: off camera, And I like completely agree with you, Ashley.
- 10:23Speaker 6: I feel like it wasn't for camera or for anything.
- 10:25Speaker 6: She just genuinely is in a good place now and
- 10:28Speaker 6: maybe that's why it was like such a good conversation.
- 10:32Speaker 2: Yeah, show me somebody that's been through through it in life,
- 10:35Speaker 2: and I want to learn from them. I mean, you know,
- 10:37Speaker 2: the people in life that haven't been through it are
- 10:40Speaker 2: the people that you know usually don't have the wisdom,
- 10:42Speaker 2: the perspective insight as those who have gone through some
- 10:46Speaker 2: heavy stuff and they'll last, you know, two years for
- 10:48Speaker 2: her has been really heavy and so as she's coming
- 10:50Speaker 2: out the other side of it, you know, healthier, just
- 10:53Speaker 2: had this crazy experience on this national you know show,
- 10:56Speaker 2: got a lot of love and support. She's probably like, hey, like, yes,
- 11:00Speaker 2: I have to, you know, I want to take some
- 11:02Speaker 2: time for myself. But there's some really great things that
- 11:04Speaker 2: have happened to me, and there's some things in my
- 11:06Speaker 2: life that I've seen that are not important that I've
- 11:08Speaker 2: focused on the past, and I'm not going to focus
- 11:10Speaker 2: on those things anymore. Like, I think she has a
- 11:12Speaker 2: lot of wisdom and just her character and it's something
- 11:16Speaker 2: to learn from. I think this was this whole conversation
- 11:18Speaker 2: I meant to bring it to is like we have
- 11:21Speaker 2: a lot to learn, I think for future contestants, also
- 11:24Speaker 2: for us who have been on this show before, to say, hey,
- 11:27Speaker 2: if you want to handle this thing well, like do
- 11:30Speaker 2: it this way, because this is really beautiful in so
- 11:33Speaker 2: many levels. And now hopefully all these people can move
- 11:36Speaker 2: on and happiness. And the thing that excites me the
- 11:39Speaker 2: most for joe and Kelsey right now is that they're
- 11:41Speaker 2: going to show up to the Day Show today and
- 11:43Speaker 2: Good Morning America and all those places that they'll go
- 11:45Speaker 2: and they won't have these crazy questions that will like
- 11:48Speaker 2: put a wedge in between their relationship for a period
- 11:50Speaker 2: of time. Instead, it's going to be about those two
- 11:53Speaker 2: and what they're excited for. And now, oh, Joey, how
- 11:56Speaker 2: sad are you? You know that you had to say
- 11:58Speaker 2: say goodbye to Daisy last night like they're gonna sit
- 12:00Speaker 2: there in confidence like it sucked. It was awful, but hey,
- 12:04Speaker 2: this is what I've got now, So that excites me
- 12:06Speaker 2: too for the two of them.
- 12:08Speaker 4: I think it's worth mentioning that I think Daisy feels
- 12:11Speaker 4: liberated now after going through this experience with Joey, because
- 12:14Speaker 4: she did feel so nervous dating with the cochlear implant,
- 12:18Speaker 4: and she did have this absolutely wrong sense, but like
- 12:22Speaker 4: understandable sense that she like wouldn't be accepted by men
- 12:28Speaker 4: because of this disability. And I think now she has
- 12:33Speaker 4: a grown confidence.
- 12:37Speaker 2: She should she's she's a catch. I don't think days
- 12:42Speaker 2: is gonna hurt.
- 12:42Speaker 3: For male attention. For sure.
- 12:59Speaker 4: Kelsey gets on stage, final Rows moment, you know the moment.
- 13:05Speaker 4: What do we think about body language? How they're doing?
- 13:08Speaker 4: He you know, I know they're doing well. He was
- 13:12Speaker 4: honest by saying it's always not easy getting off the
- 13:15Speaker 4: show and that adjustment period. He's she he's gonna move
- 13:19Speaker 4: to New Orleans for a little while, and then they
- 13:21Speaker 4: might settle in New York in a couple months. What
- 13:25Speaker 4: is your fortune telling telling you about these two?
- 13:28Speaker 5: I think they're gonna make it.
- 13:29Speaker 3: I really really do they better, I will be very upset.
- 13:32Speaker 5: I know I have the.
- 13:33Speaker 6: Body language, Like we've said this whole time, just their season,
- 13:37Speaker 6: the way it ended, I think they're in a really
- 13:40Speaker 6: good place. I'm really really excited to see what comes
- 13:44Speaker 6: from both of them.
- 13:47Speaker 4: Susie, I feel like you have skepticism.
- 13:51Speaker 5: I don't.
- 13:52Speaker 8: I think that I'm well, if I'm being honest, I
- 13:55Speaker 8: think I'm skeptical of like any relationship that comes off
- 13:58Speaker 8: the show. I think it's so freaking hard. Plus, I
- 14:00Speaker 8: don't think you really know the person, like until you're
- 14:03Speaker 8: in the real world with them for a significant amount
- 14:07Speaker 8: of time. But that doesn't mean it's about them specifically.
- 14:10Speaker 8: I just think in general it's based on where I
- 14:16Speaker 8: was and how much time you get to spend with
- 14:18Speaker 8: the person. It's like, you really don't know what you're
- 14:20Speaker 8: getting yourself into. But I think that again, like so
- 14:25Speaker 8: many things in life, it's a choice, and like they
- 14:27Speaker 8: put a ring on the finger and they decided to
- 14:29Speaker 8: get engaged. And I think if they want to make
- 14:31Speaker 8: it work, if they make the decision like, hey, we're
- 14:32Speaker 8: going to work through whatever we face, then they one
- 14:35Speaker 8: thousand percent can I just I just also think that
- 14:39Speaker 8: it's a really tough position to be in.
- 14:42Speaker 5: So I don't know.
- 14:45Speaker 8: I think time will tell, but I think that they are.
- 14:48Speaker 8: They're so cute together. They seem very much in love.
- 14:53Speaker 8: But I think that I don't know, and not that
- 14:55Speaker 8: they're like listening right now as I say this, But
- 14:57Speaker 8: I'm like, if there was any like, you know, the
- 15:00Speaker 8: thing I could share, I would say, like, do what's
- 15:02Speaker 8: best for you, like, don't let the pressure of the
- 15:04Speaker 8: world like keep you in a relationship that you're not
- 15:06Speaker 8: meant to be in. But if you two love each
- 15:09Speaker 8: other and you want to fight for it, then I
- 15:10Speaker 8: think that they can make it work no matter what.
- 15:14Speaker 2: I'm with Susie. I think I have just like in
- 15:19Speaker 2: a sense, the exciting part happens now for me because
- 15:22Speaker 2: I do think so many couples come out of this
- 15:24Speaker 2: and they're very compatible and they did have a really
- 15:27Speaker 2: true story and a great love story form on the show.
- 15:31Speaker 2: But when you get off the show, it is harder
- 15:34Speaker 2: than any exp I mean, the show is hard in
- 15:37Speaker 2: some ways. We also have a whole team of people
- 15:39Speaker 2: keeping you there, like you're not like leaving most of
- 15:42Speaker 2: the time, and you know you're going on these crazy
- 15:45Speaker 2: cool dates. You're having these amazing memories, and you're so
- 15:47Speaker 2: excited for the next week when you travel to some
- 15:49Speaker 2: new location and there's so much keeping you there. I
- 15:52Speaker 2: think the hard part happens now. You know where you
- 15:55Speaker 2: probably will start to go back to your normal jobs.
- 15:58Speaker 2: You will move to a new You're going to have
- 16:01Speaker 2: to figure out ways that you two like to entertain
- 16:03Speaker 2: each other. There'll be really cool moments where you get
- 16:07Speaker 2: invited to red carpets and cool events and opportunities that
- 16:10Speaker 2: you've never dreamed of being invited to before. But those
- 16:13Speaker 2: that takes up let's say twenty percent of your life,
- 16:16Speaker 2: you know, there's eighty percent of your life still to
- 16:18Speaker 2: be filled with this new partner. And I think that's
- 16:20Speaker 2: where the real work starts. You have to kind of
- 16:22Speaker 2: start redating each other. I think Jojo and Jordan are
- 16:25Speaker 2: a great example of that, right they very publicly said
- 16:27Speaker 2: we started over, like we did this whole, like we
- 16:30Speaker 2: had a really rocky time, we almost broke up, like
- 16:32Speaker 2: we didn't know who we were, and we finally said,
- 16:34Speaker 2: if we're gonna do this, we're gonna do this. And
- 16:36Speaker 2: I think that's my advice to them, And I do
- 16:38Speaker 2: think you know, either Joey or Kelsey will listen to
- 16:40Speaker 2: this is start over and be okay with that, like,
- 16:44Speaker 2: you know, start anew and see where this takes you.
- 16:46Speaker 2: Because it does get really hard now in a beautiful way.
- 16:50Speaker 2: It's really hard, like any relationship it's hard. Like it's
- 16:52Speaker 2: not like it's hard because it has more pressure maybe,
- 16:55Speaker 2: but every relationship is hard in its own way. So
- 16:58Speaker 2: you're just like a normal couple now in a lot
- 17:00Speaker 2: of ways.
- 17:01Speaker 4: Yeah, Susie, when did you feel with Clayton that like,
- 17:04Speaker 4: oh wow, I don't know this guy very well.
- 17:08Speaker 9: I felt like at the end of the show, like everything,
- 17:10Speaker 9: at the very end, I was like, I don't know you.
- 17:12Speaker 8: I was like, I'm like when it was time to
- 17:15Speaker 8: make a decision of like are we leaving together separate,
- 17:18Speaker 8: it was very much like you either have to like
- 17:21Speaker 8: leave together or not together. It wasn't like there was
- 17:25Speaker 8: no option to like say maybe, So my brain was like.
- 17:30Speaker 9: I don't really know you.
- 17:31Speaker 8: Like That's how I felt at the end of the show,
- 17:33Speaker 8: Like I was like, I don't know you well enough
- 17:35Speaker 8: to be like, yeah, let's make that, let's try to
- 17:37Speaker 8: make this work. So I felt it at the very end,
- 17:40Speaker 8: even like when everything happened, it was just like you
- 17:43Speaker 8: really don't know each other and you don't know me,
- 17:45Speaker 8: and like you get so little time. I think people
- 17:48Speaker 8: forget that, like it seems like we've been watching for weeks,
- 17:50Speaker 8: but it's like it's so quick when you're there, and
- 17:54Speaker 8: all the time you get is in little fractions, and
- 17:56Speaker 8: you're talking about things that aren't like things you would
- 17:58Speaker 8: talk about.
- 17:59Speaker 9: I think when you're like in the real.
- 18:00Speaker 8: World dating, because everything's exciting and positive around you, so
- 18:04Speaker 8: mostly so I feel like I knew pretty early on
- 18:08Speaker 8: that I was like, Oh, we like don't really know
- 18:10Speaker 8: each other. And then you and then you get into
- 18:13Speaker 8: the real world like post show, in between the show airing,
- 18:17Speaker 8: and then it was like, oh, we really don't.
- 18:18Speaker 9: Know each other.
- 18:19Speaker 8: Like I feel like it was even more so we were like,
- 18:21Speaker 8: oh my gosh, like we literally don't know anything about
- 18:23Speaker 8: each other.
- 18:24Speaker 7: That's how it felt for me.
- 18:26Speaker 4: Rachel. I feel like you can relate with Tino.
- 18:29Speaker 6: I mean, I was gonna say I've never even experienced
- 18:31Speaker 6: having a relationship post show, like mine failed very very
- 18:35Speaker 6: early after filming. But I think they're already at an
- 18:38Speaker 6: advantage where I feel like a lot of couples like
- 18:41Speaker 6: Susie could probably relate, Like when you come out and
- 18:44Speaker 6: there's so much criticism, like on the lead on the season,
- 18:48Speaker 6: everyone has an opinion, and I feel like that really
- 18:51Speaker 6: really hurts couples. And I think they're going into the
- 18:54Speaker 6: world with everyone loving Joey like such a great support
- 18:58Speaker 6: system behind the couple, And it really does feel like
- 19:01Speaker 6: the show is moving towards more of like wanting to
- 19:04Speaker 6: see success and like nurture the couples in a way
- 19:08Speaker 6: like I feel like Charity and Dotn are doing so
- 19:10Speaker 6: well Zach and Katie, so I mean, I've never been
- 19:13Speaker 6: in the position, but I'm really hopeful for them going forward.
- 19:18Speaker 4: I have a question. This is probably more towards Rachel,
- 19:21Speaker 4: but chime in if any of you guys can relate.
- 19:25Speaker 4: How did you go from being like I love you
- 19:28Speaker 4: and being so sure of it to Tino to having
- 19:30Speaker 4: that realization of being like, oh my gosh, I said
- 19:35Speaker 4: I love you to someone I don't know.
- 19:38Speaker 5: I don't know, Like for me, like I felt it.
- 19:42Speaker 6: I felt like I was in love and I truly
- 19:44Speaker 6: believed it up until we had like really really actually
- 19:47Speaker 6: big issues and that's when it started to like come
- 19:50Speaker 6: into the place where I'm like, wait, like maybe like
- 19:53Speaker 6: I'm going to stop saying that for a little, but
- 19:55Speaker 6: like coming off the show, like I genuinely believed it,
- 19:59Speaker 6: but I'm also like so delusional and like I buy
- 20:01Speaker 6: into it so hard.
- 20:02Speaker 3: You're such a pissy.
- 20:04Speaker 5: Yeah, my take is so bad.
- 20:05Speaker 6: So like I find Susie would might have a better
- 20:08Speaker 6: answer on that one.
- 20:10Speaker 9: Oh, I don't know. I think.
- 20:14Speaker 8: Well, I think for me, it happened when I was
- 20:15Speaker 8: still on it, like I said earlier, happened when I
- 20:17Speaker 8: was still on the show because I was like in.
- 20:19Speaker 9: The la la land of it all, like the falling
- 20:21Speaker 9: in love and everything's romantic and fun.
- 20:24Speaker 8: But I did always think like, okay, we haven't had
- 20:27Speaker 8: a fight, like we like you learned so much about
- 20:29Speaker 8: somebody when you fight with them, and like how they
- 20:31Speaker 8: treat you when you fight and how you like communicate
- 20:36Speaker 8: during arguments, like that says so much about somebody's character.
- 20:41Speaker 8: And I was I remember thinking on the show is
- 20:43Speaker 8: like not that I wanted to fight, but that was like,
- 20:46Speaker 8: what is conflict going to look like? Because everything is
- 20:48Speaker 8: happy and positive and so I don't know. I don't
- 20:52Speaker 8: think I said I love you when I was still
- 20:54Speaker 8: on the show, I just was like falling in love.
- 20:57Speaker 9: And then by the end I was like, oh, I.
- 20:59Speaker 8: Think I need to take a step back, and like
- 21:00Speaker 8: reassess does justin fight.
- 21:05Speaker 9: He's sassy.
- 21:10Speaker 6: You know.
- 21:10Speaker 7: The thing is, yeah, yeah.
- 21:15Speaker 4: Did you guys fight as friends before you got together?
- 21:19Speaker 8: Actually, he said to me, this was so funny. He
- 21:22Speaker 8: said to me, I can't imagine what we would fight about.
- 21:24Speaker 8: I was like, oh, let me tell you, like, oh,
- 21:29Speaker 8: we're going to fight.
- 21:32Speaker 7: Something, you know. I think going through the show, I
- 21:39Speaker 7: was like such a realist, maybe to a full I
- 21:43Speaker 7: don't know, maybe to a detriment, I don't know, but
- 21:45Speaker 7: I feel like a lot of times, even when it
- 21:47Speaker 7: got down to the wire and they I'd be in
- 21:49Speaker 7: items and they're like asking, you know, they want you
- 21:51Speaker 7: to be in this like la la, like I'm so
- 21:53Speaker 7: I love And I remember saying like, we haven't faced
- 21:56Speaker 7: any adversity. And that's a huge thing to me because
- 21:59Speaker 7: in past relations, as Susie mentioned, that has been a
- 22:02Speaker 7: huge like turning point of like, Okay, we do not
- 22:06Speaker 7: communicate well when things aren't great. And so going into
- 22:09Speaker 7: my expansion of the show, that's something that I looked for.
- 22:11Speaker 7: Not that I wanted to fight with Katie, but I
- 22:12Speaker 7: was like, this is a real life, right, Like this
- 22:15Speaker 7: is not a microcosm of what life is going to be.
- 22:19Speaker 7: But yeah, that's that's what I was gonna say. But
- 22:21Speaker 7: I think we communicate really well. And I am sassy.
- 22:24Speaker 8: He is sassy, but he's actually he like also is
- 22:27Speaker 8: very good with his words, and you can communicate very well,
- 22:30Speaker 8: which is super important.
- 22:31Speaker 2: Yeah, you want to find healing. I think he can
- 22:33Speaker 2: be sassy, like you got to get your words out there,
- 22:35Speaker 2: but you don't want it to like hurt the other person.
- 22:37Speaker 7: And I think I think you know, with every in
- 22:40Speaker 7: any relationship, I think when because not a relationship is
- 22:45Speaker 7: going to be perfect, Like you're going to argue, You're
- 22:46Speaker 7: gonna have disagreements, right, But I think as long as
- 22:49Speaker 7: you're going into those conversations or disagreements with the goal
- 22:53Speaker 7: to seek resolution and not to just like hurt each
- 22:56Speaker 7: other or like get the last word or win, that's
- 22:59Speaker 7: what prepare relationships. Because if you can, if you can
- 23:01Speaker 7: disagree but then come to a resolution and find ways
- 23:04Speaker 7: to get better for your partner moving forward, I think
- 23:06Speaker 7: that's what it's all about. So I don't know where
- 23:09Speaker 7: Kelsey and Joe we're at. I'm sure they've you know,
- 23:11Speaker 7: their disagreements have probably been based heavily on the premise
- 23:15Speaker 7: of the show and what they've seen this thus far,
- 23:17Speaker 7: But like you said, been like now the real work
- 23:19Speaker 7: starts where everyone's rooting for them, right, and they're gonna
- 23:22Speaker 7: have these cool experiences, but they're also finally get to
- 23:24Speaker 7: experience real life together in the public and doing them right.
- 23:28Speaker 7: And so I hope and I feel like they're both
- 23:30Speaker 7: very mature, level headed people, So yeah, interested to see,
- 23:35Speaker 7: you know, how they work through things. But I think,
- 23:37Speaker 7: you know, we're all rooting for them.
- 23:38Speaker 2: So how about the wild moment where you wake up
- 23:42Speaker 2: the next day and you're like, Hey, what's your birthday?
- 23:45Speaker 2: What's your middle name? And can I get your phone number?
- 23:48Speaker 7: So true again, being a real and maybe this wasn't
- 23:53Speaker 7: like maybe I didn't have a realistic expectation of the show,
- 23:58Speaker 7: but I remember being I remember being on my hometown,
- 24:02Speaker 7: which was in New Mexico because it was still COVID
- 24:04Speaker 7: so it wasn't really a hometown. But we were on
- 24:06Speaker 7: this horse drawn carriage and I remember Katie and I
- 24:09Speaker 7: were talking about something and she was like, what stay
- 24:12Speaker 7: are you from again? And I was like, I'm such
- 24:16Speaker 7: a detail oriented person that does things like that.
- 24:18Speaker 4: I'm like, yeah, I understand that.
- 24:21Speaker 7: He was like, it's a m state, right, I was
- 24:23Speaker 7: like Maryland. He was like, oh, I don't know if
- 24:25Speaker 7: it was like Maine or Massachusetts.
- 24:26Speaker 2: I was like, yeah, maybe we aren't where were we?
- 24:29Speaker 6: I know.
- 24:29Speaker 7: I'm like but it's like, I mean, I know you
- 24:32Speaker 7: had a lot of people to but I'm like, little
- 24:35Speaker 7: things like that matter to me.
- 24:36Speaker 4: So I'm like, yeah, Okay, Rachel, you were in the
- 24:40Speaker 4: audience last night, tell us what happens during commercial break?
- 24:44Speaker 4: There was so much Bachelor alum There so many Bachelor
- 24:47Speaker 4: Alumni alum. I don't know when you say the difference.
- 24:50Speaker 6: I mean like, was there any drama or like, what
- 24:55Speaker 6: do you mean?
- 24:55Speaker 4: Well, I don't know, yeah, like drama, I don't know.
- 25:01Speaker 2: I first, how about you run through all the alumni
- 25:04Speaker 2: that you remember being there and then all the kind
- 25:08Speaker 2: of any dynamics that stood out?
- 25:11Speaker 6: Okay, so they had It was me and Gabby, and
- 25:14Speaker 6: then we were next to Gary Teresa, and then behind
- 25:18Speaker 6: us it was a lot of women from Joey's season,
- 25:22Speaker 6: which I was really surprised. I didn't know if they
- 25:24Speaker 6: normally bring back so many women, especially Rachel being there.
- 25:28Speaker 5: I remember being like really shocked.
- 25:30Speaker 6: I'm like, either is she going to get a hot
- 25:31Speaker 6: seat or I wouldn't really want to be there in
- 25:33Speaker 6: that situation. But Rachel was there. I think Leah, Lexie.
- 25:41Speaker 4: Maybe Lauren, and then Oh and Autumn Maria and Maria.
- 25:46Speaker 6: Yeah, and Maria was behind me, and then there was
- 25:49Speaker 6: like a couple guys from Charity season. There was Sean,
- 25:54Speaker 6: John b Tanner, Oh and John Henry, they.
- 25:59Speaker 4: Were all there. I felt like the kind of random.
- 26:02Speaker 6: Yeah, it was definitely an interesting choice of alumni in
- 26:07Speaker 6: the audience.
- 26:08Speaker 4: And then with Golden Bachelor, we saw of course Kathy
- 26:12Speaker 4: and Susan.
- 26:13Speaker 2: They are just they must have like an expense card
- 26:16Speaker 2: right now for the show. They're everywhere.
- 26:18Speaker 3: They have the podcasts, they have the Warner podcast.
- 26:21Speaker 5: They're the best.
- 26:22Speaker 2: They are awesome, but they are everywhere. I think how
- 26:25Speaker 2: they've been every event to the last year is impressive
- 26:29Speaker 2: and exact.
- 26:30Speaker 6: They're carrying this franchise on their back, and they're the
- 26:33Speaker 6: busts that they come up and they try to take
- 26:35Speaker 6: a selfie with every single person, and I love it,
- 26:38Speaker 6: like they're.
- 26:39Speaker 2: Just the bust they are. They are hilarious. Okay, I
- 26:43Speaker 2: guess maybe have more direct question based on asking this question,
- 26:46Speaker 2: but when they announced the next Bachelorette, did you get us?
- 26:49Speaker 2: Did you look back at Maria and did she seem disappointed?
- 26:53Speaker 6: So I cheated and I asked Charity, and Charity told
- 26:56Speaker 6: me so. I already kind of knew that it was happening,
- 27:00Speaker 6: but I did find it interesting that Jen wasn't even
- 27:04Speaker 6: in the audience like they had Rachel and Maria and Daisy.
- 27:08Speaker 4: Did that tip you off that it wasn't them before
- 27:12Speaker 4: you talk to Charity?
- 27:13Speaker 6: No, because I feel like for a lot of the
- 27:18Speaker 6: other maybe I'm wrong because I know me and Gabby
- 27:22Speaker 6: were in the audience. But okay, yeah, I was trying
- 27:25Speaker 6: to think back. I thought it was weird that.
- 27:27Speaker 5: She wasn't in the audience.
- 27:29Speaker 7: Rachel, when you were you did you know ahead of
- 27:32Speaker 7: time when you were in the audience, you had no clue?
- 27:34Speaker 3: No, you didn't know you were the bachelorette.
- 27:37Speaker 5: No, I did it, I swear to God. And I thought.
- 27:39Speaker 6: I kept asking them because I was like, if you
- 27:42Speaker 6: bring me out there and you put me next to
- 27:44Speaker 6: Gabby and you call Gabby up there, like I will
- 27:46Speaker 6: be so angry, So just like tell me not even
- 27:49Speaker 6: that I'm ingry, it's Gabby, but like that's you're doing
- 27:51Speaker 6: it to embarrass me. So I remember we both went
- 27:53Speaker 6: out there, and then I started thinking maybe it was
- 27:55Speaker 6: like a Michelle and Katie situation.
- 27:58Speaker 5: But yeah, No, they didn't tell us all.
- 28:00Speaker 6: And I remember asking because I was like, I need
- 28:02Speaker 6: to quit my job, Like they didn't tell me anything.
- 28:04Speaker 5: I had to do that all after Yeah.
- 28:06Speaker 7: Because we were like we were wondering because Jesse kept
- 28:08Speaker 7: on being like, could it be this lady?
- 28:12Speaker 6: Right?
- 28:12Speaker 7: And I'm like, that's gonna be crazy if they bring
- 28:13Speaker 7: Daisy up and then.
- 28:14Speaker 4: It's like, you know, but that's what they did. But
- 28:16Speaker 4: they basically did that. That was so crazy because he
- 28:20Speaker 4: was like, where you have to announce the next bachelorette, Daisy,
- 28:24Speaker 4: come to the stage dot dot dot and explain why.
- 28:27Speaker 3: You're not going to be the bachelorette. That was why
- 28:31Speaker 3: you old.
- 28:33Speaker 7: No.
- 28:34Speaker 4: But it wasn't brutal because it's very well, I'm sorry, guys,
- 28:38Speaker 4: I got some inside scoop on this situation, so I'm
- 28:40Speaker 4: gonna have to reveal it. I have known from multiple
- 28:44Speaker 4: sources over the past couple of i'll say a week
- 28:49Speaker 4: that it wasn't going to be Daisy. Daisy did not
- 28:52Speaker 4: want it. That's why they had her come up and
- 28:55Speaker 4: explain she did not want it. They had really try
- 29:00Speaker 4: to get her on board, and she was just like,
- 29:02Speaker 4: it is not my personality. I do not want to
- 29:04Speaker 4: deal with this. I cannot dumb people. I don't want
- 29:06Speaker 4: to be I cannot have this on my conscience, Like
- 29:10Speaker 4: this is just not made. This's not a role made
- 29:12Speaker 4: for me, and I think that she kind of I mean,
- 29:15Speaker 4: she said that it was because she wasn't ready to date.
- 29:18Speaker 4: But I promise you guys, they they wanted to have
- 29:21Speaker 4: her in that role and she.
- 29:23Speaker 7: Did not want it. Did Maria deny it too?
- 29:26Speaker 4: So my sources about Maria A fewer sources about Maria.
- 29:31Speaker 4: I'll say what I I'll say things if they get I.
- 29:36Speaker 6: Have heard.
- 29:38Speaker 4: I know I have heard that they were concerned that
- 29:43Speaker 4: Maria would be too much of a handful production wise. Okay, now,
- 29:49Speaker 4: if that is the case, I still think they messed
- 29:53Speaker 4: up royalty royally. I think that no matter how difficult
- 30:00Speaker 4: she was going to be to produce, to control, whatever
- 30:03Speaker 4: you want to call it, that was going to be
- 30:07Speaker 4: your million dollar ticket, your billion dollar ticket. That was
- 30:10Speaker 4: going to keep the franchise on this high that we have.
- 30:14Speaker 4: Everybody wanted it to be Maria. When I was at
- 30:17Speaker 4: Audrey's yesterday, so at our coffee shop, we had a
- 30:21Speaker 4: big watch party. There was like over one hundred people
- 30:23Speaker 4: there and at the beginning of the night, I said,
- 30:25Speaker 4: who do you want to be the bachelorette? And I
- 30:27Speaker 4: heard there was it was just a booming sound of Maria.
- 30:33Speaker 4: Well at that point, they didn't know who was going
- 30:35Speaker 4: to be the runner up. So that's why in second
- 30:38Speaker 4: place wasn't like an option as bachelorette in the audience,
- 30:42Speaker 4: But everybody said Maria. And then I heard from Jared
- 30:47Speaker 4: that later in the night when they announced that it
- 30:49Speaker 4: was Jen, everybody was like, whoa.
- 30:53Speaker 2: No matter what Jen was like plus fifteen thousand in Vegas,
- 30:58Speaker 2: the Bachelorette like at a nowhere.
- 31:00Speaker 3: Like if you and I said, remember when she got eliminated.
- 31:03Speaker 4: We're like, if she got eliminated a little bit further
- 31:06Speaker 4: down the road and and Maria and Daisy and Kelsey
- 31:11Speaker 4: weren't part of this cast, Rachel then then yeah, Rachel,
- 31:15Speaker 4: then yeah she'd have a shot.
- 31:17Speaker 3: But she has no shot.
- 31:18Speaker 2: I mean Rachel was like, Okay, if it's not Daisy,
- 31:21Speaker 2: if it's not Maria, then in my mind it's like
- 31:22Speaker 2: it's Rachel. And if it's not Rachel, then they're pulling
- 31:25Speaker 2: out like tons of stops. Not because there's anything wrong
- 31:30Speaker 2: with Jim, Like there is nothing I'm going to see
- 31:32Speaker 2: him be like terrible choice, bad choice whatever. I thought
- 31:35Speaker 2: she was hilarious. I thought we didn't shoot enough of her.
- 31:37Speaker 2: I said that, but we don't like, there is there
- 31:40Speaker 2: we don't know her like and traditionally, you know the
- 31:46Speaker 2: familiarity from the audience to the contestants based on their
- 31:49Speaker 2: social media phone. It's a great, you know, way to
- 31:52Speaker 2: quantify how much people know the contestants.
- 31:55Speaker 3: Jin wasn't even at least feel like they know them.
- 31:58Speaker 2: Yeah, not because she's she's not a good choice, not
- 32:01Speaker 2: because she's not going to be entertaining or whatever. We
- 32:03Speaker 2: just don't know her now, guys. I will make a
- 32:07Speaker 2: comparison here, and it's somewhat accurate. I look this up.
- 32:12Speaker 2: It's somewhat accurate, but will be shocked. I think at
- 32:17Speaker 2: maybe going back to that time, you know whose only
- 32:20Speaker 2: other announcement kind of feels similar to this.
- 32:23Speaker 4: Here's a Hannah Brown.
- 32:24Speaker 2: Hannah Brown, Hannah Brown, shock her for everybody. Nobody knew her.
- 32:28Speaker 2: She got out on stage and fumbled over her words
- 32:31Speaker 2: and everybody's like, what are they doing?
- 32:33Speaker 6: Right?
- 32:33Speaker 2: If you remember her first time on camera, it.
- 32:35Speaker 3: Was like I knew how did my bones?
- 32:38Speaker 4: I was like, this girl's going to be a rock star.
- 32:40Speaker 3: Have faith in her.
- 32:41Speaker 2: But if you go back to that moment, you watch
- 32:43Speaker 2: her interview after the final Rows You're like, she can't
- 32:46Speaker 2: even talk, like like we don't know her, who is she?
- 32:50Speaker 7: What are we doing?
- 32:51Speaker 2: She was just involved in some drama on the season,
- 32:53Speaker 2: and then now she's a bachelorette, and look where we're
- 32:55Speaker 2: at now. So I'm saying like there's a lot of
- 32:57Speaker 2: hope here. There's probably a lot of excitement, but I
- 33:02Speaker 2: think when it comes to this season, it could be
- 33:04Speaker 2: a shocker of how popular it is and will all
- 33:07Speaker 2: forget that we didn't really know Jin on the Bachelorette.
- 33:10Speaker 4: We're getting some incoming news that Daisy's also currently in
- 33:13Speaker 4: another relationship. She might be rekindling things with a former flame.
- 33:20Speaker 4: We also I also need to say that these sources
- 33:26Speaker 4: of mine told me that it was going to be
- 33:28Speaker 4: Jen this week, and I was like, no way, but
- 33:32Speaker 4: also kind of in belief because I kind of believe
- 33:35Speaker 4: it because I knew Daisy didn't want it. But then
- 33:38Speaker 4: I also thought that perhaps Maria would not be the
- 33:42Speaker 4: easies of choices for production.
- 33:45Speaker 2: Oh, I thought it would be great, it would be wild.
- 33:47Speaker 3: To bea but they would hate it, but the audience
- 33:50Speaker 3: would love it.
- 33:50Speaker 4: Look, I get I think the Bachelor production needs to
- 33:54Speaker 4: appeal and accommodate for the audience's wishes. That's what they
- 33:58Speaker 4: did with Joey and that worked so well. I think
- 34:02Speaker 4: this is a big mistake to not go with Maria
- 34:06Speaker 4: not And this is of course not to say anything
- 34:09Speaker 4: bad about Jen, nothing bad about Jen. But I was shocked.
- 34:12Speaker 4: And then when and yesterday when it actually was announced,
- 34:17Speaker 4: I was also my jaws still dropped.
- 34:20Speaker 3: I couldn't.
- 34:21Speaker 2: I was like, wow, Okay, So for our guests here
- 34:34Speaker 2: justin I want you to start, what are your thoughts?
- 34:37Speaker 2: Like it take off? Like we've all shared our opinions here,
- 34:40Speaker 2: but I want to hear everybody's thoughts on what's going on.
- 34:42Speaker 7: Yeah, I think it's even bigger of a fumble if
- 34:47Speaker 7: there isn't a paradise this year, because I feel like
- 34:51Speaker 7: you got to get Maria back on screens somehow. Yeah,
- 34:54Speaker 7: it was so frustrating. Obviously we've all been through, but
- 34:57Speaker 7: even like now as a viewer, I feel like it's
- 35:00Speaker 7: trading because it's like, okay, just when the franchise was
- 35:03Speaker 7: back on a good trajectory, it's like, yeah, people are
- 35:05Speaker 7: telling you what they want, and it's so frustrated that
- 35:07Speaker 7: they don't listen. Yes, Oh and I understand there's a
- 35:10Speaker 7: lot that goes on behind the scenes that you know,
- 35:12Speaker 7: we're pretty too, but there's stuff that we're not even
- 35:14Speaker 7: pretty to. I mean, you guys, some of you guys
- 35:16Speaker 7: were leads, but I feel like you got to figure
- 35:20Speaker 7: it out, right. And I even said, you know, because
- 35:22Speaker 7: Susie thought it was gonna be Maria, I thought it
- 35:24Speaker 7: would be Daisy, And part of me was like, I
- 35:27Speaker 7: don't like the personality is fun, it's exciting, whatever, but like,
- 35:31Speaker 7: I don't know if she makes for good, like for
- 35:34Speaker 7: what does And I'm thinking from the production standpoint, I understand, yeah,
- 35:37Speaker 7: from it like we want to see Maria, right, but
- 35:39Speaker 7: from a show stand like she doesn't fit that mold
- 35:41Speaker 7: that they want. But that's kind of the problem, right,
- 35:43Speaker 7: Like I feel like they got to break out of
- 35:45Speaker 7: that mold.
- 35:45Speaker 4: Why do they want that mold so bad? Because like,
- 35:48Speaker 4: don't they want a Caitlyn Bristow again, I just am
- 35:50Speaker 4: so confused because then I would say that Hannah Brown
- 35:52Speaker 4: is also the closest relation to a Caitlin Bristow, And
- 35:55Speaker 4: those are your two like most monumental like season right, I'm.
- 36:00Speaker 7: Like that's what people. People want good TV. They don't
- 36:03Speaker 7: want like just boring bland, you know whatever. So I
- 36:08Speaker 7: don't know my my take, I feel like on the
- 36:12Speaker 7: gen pick, and I don't want to sound like I think.
- 36:17Speaker 7: I think it's great. I think I'm I'm rooting for.
- 36:19Speaker 7: I hope she's, you know, surprised as we don't know her,
- 36:22Speaker 7: but that's probably not to her fault. They just didn't show,
- 36:24Speaker 7: you know, her personality. She seems like she has a
- 36:27Speaker 7: lot to offer, so I think she's gonna make for
- 36:30Speaker 7: a good bachelorette. I think it's interesting though, and maybe
- 36:33Speaker 7: I might be looking too deep into it. I think
- 36:36Speaker 7: it's great that she is the first Asian bachelorette, so
- 36:40Speaker 7: to have that representation is huge, and I think she's
- 36:42Speaker 7: going to put on for a lot of people and
- 36:45Speaker 7: that's that's amazing. It was interesting to see I don't
- 36:49Speaker 7: know if you guys saw that the preliminary cast was released. Yeah,
- 36:53Speaker 7: which Noah's brother is in there, which I think is
- 36:57Speaker 7: no herb.
- 36:58Speaker 4: Oh, Noah's actual brother. I saw somebody in the comments
- 37:01Speaker 4: saying like Noah's like twin or I was like, oh,
- 37:06Speaker 4: so like yeah, he looks like no Oh, there's actual brother.
- 37:08Speaker 2: Yeah, cool, that's.
- 37:10Speaker 7: It's so funny. But I don't know if I'm looking
- 37:12Speaker 7: too deep into it. But if you look at the
- 37:13Speaker 7: cast and again it's not finalized, I don't think, but
- 37:16Speaker 7: there is zero Asian representation now, so I'm thinking, you know,
- 37:21Speaker 7: and I don't know how much say you get? You know,
- 37:23Speaker 7: I know they asked Joey in one of the interviews
- 37:24Speaker 7: he did. There's a lot of brunettes like is that
- 37:26Speaker 7: your preference? Is that what you asked for? And so
- 37:30Speaker 7: I don't know what Jen's dating preference preferences are, but
- 37:34Speaker 7: it was just interesting to see that there was like
- 37:37Speaker 7: your first Asian bachelorette. There's no Asian representation in the cast.
- 37:41Speaker 7: It was I don't know, I don't know if I'm
- 37:43Speaker 7: looking too deep into it, but it's like, okay, so
- 37:44Speaker 7: was that like kind of a scramble pick last minute?
- 37:47Speaker 4: I think it's a scramble pick, right. I really think
- 37:49Speaker 4: that they were gonna they were going to They thought
- 37:51Speaker 4: they were going to convince Daisy, and I mean, who knows,
- 37:55Speaker 4: who knows what Maria think. Maybe I'm wrong, Maybe it's
- 37:57Speaker 4: not about Maria being like any sort of diva or whatnot,
- 38:00Speaker 4: because Lauren, who is you know. Her closest friend from
- 38:04Speaker 4: the season said that Maria declined the role as well.
- 38:09Speaker 3: But Maria just does.
- 38:10Speaker 4: I can't believe that, because Maria just doesn't seem to
- 38:14Speaker 4: have the personality to decline that role. Why would she,
- 38:16Speaker 4: especially with so much support behind her.
- 38:19Speaker 2: I want to hear I do want to hear Susie
- 38:22Speaker 2: and Rachel takes on this too, justin that's a great point,
- 38:24Speaker 2: and it's one that maybe they're maybe now they'll recast
- 38:29Speaker 2: a little bit, like that's been a thing, you know,
- 38:31Speaker 2: announce a bachelorette. It's kind of a shocker they recast,
- 38:35Speaker 2: will not see some of the people? Do they preliminary announced?
- 38:39Speaker 2: But don't they start filming like in a week lesson
- 38:43Speaker 2: a week Yeah, like tomorrow, Like aren't they like going
- 38:46Speaker 2: at it on Wednesday? Okay? Yeah, Susie, I want to
- 38:50Speaker 2: hear your take, and we'll get to Rachel and then
- 38:51Speaker 2: Ashley and I will kind of close because I do
- 38:54Speaker 2: have some thoughts and I do have some weird feelings
- 38:58Speaker 2: based on Jin's appearance life night too on the show,
- 39:01Speaker 2: like kind of this the jokes and some of the
- 39:03Speaker 2: weird stuff. I just I have some question that was
- 39:06Speaker 2: a weird joke.
- 39:10Speaker 8: Okay, So my thoughts, like breaking down everything we just discussed.
- 39:15Speaker 9: I think Daisy was such an.
- 39:16Speaker 8: Obvious pick because she appeals like she was such a
- 39:20Speaker 8: fan favorite. People loved her her denying it or not
- 39:24Speaker 8: wanting to be in it or possibly like rekindling a
- 39:26Speaker 8: relationship taking her out. I think we made we dorew
- 39:32Speaker 8: the comparison of like, everybody wanted Joey and so they
- 39:35Speaker 8: picked Joey. But Joey also is like a production dream.
- 39:39Speaker 8: You know, he seemed I mean from what I know,
- 39:41Speaker 8: he seems like somebody that is like easy going, kind considerate,
- 39:45Speaker 8: going to treat people around him with consideration, and you know,
- 39:49Speaker 8: humble and like all of those things. So yes, he
- 39:52Speaker 8: was what the people wanted, but he also was production's dream,
- 39:55Speaker 8: where I'm like, Marie's what the people want, but I
- 39:57Speaker 8: don't know that she's a production dream, so she's not safe.
- 40:00Speaker 9: Yeah, she may not be safe, which is exciting.
- 40:03Speaker 8: And again I think it's like one of those moments
- 40:06Speaker 8: which I don't want to say is a fumble because
- 40:08Speaker 8: for all we know, Jen is about to be the
- 40:10Speaker 8: most iconic bachelorette like ever, So we can't speak before
- 40:14Speaker 8: we know, but we just we just don't know.
- 40:17Speaker 9: We haven't seen enough of her. I'm hopeful.
- 40:20Speaker 8: Obviously she is stunning, and from what we hear, she's
- 40:23Speaker 8: like sweet.
- 40:24Speaker 9: Kind, funny, witty, all all the above.
- 40:27Speaker 8: But I think that this is my hot take and
- 40:32Speaker 8: not trying to be too big for my britches. But
- 40:33Speaker 8: I think that production thinks they can create like a
- 40:37Speaker 8: Caitlin Bristow, a Hannahbee two point out. Like I think
- 40:41Speaker 8: that they think, oh, we take this person and we
- 40:44Speaker 8: can maybe shape them and rold them and like give
- 40:46Speaker 8: the people.
- 40:46Speaker 9: What they want. But what the people want is like
- 40:48Speaker 9: an authentic person.
- 40:49Speaker 8: Like people don't want a curated version of like a
- 40:53Speaker 8: previous bachelorette where they're like, oh, go be the empowered this,
- 40:57Speaker 8: go go give like a tough line. Like I think
- 40:59Speaker 8: Perduction is maybe thinking, oh, we can like curate people
- 41:03Speaker 8: to be what we want. But the reason why people
- 41:05Speaker 8: love Joey is because he was authentic, and it's the
- 41:08Speaker 8: same reason why people loved Caitlin and Hannah and like
- 41:11Speaker 8: everybody that's just so like authentical.
- 41:15Speaker 4: I know I'm looking at Rachel's you guys know, you
- 41:18Speaker 4: guys were incredible bachelorettes.
- 41:20Speaker 3: Yes, No, I know you should have had your own season.
- 41:23Speaker 3: And what I would have loved to have is you
- 41:25Speaker 3: have your own season.
- 41:26Speaker 5: Well I was.
- 41:27Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, I was gonna say, like just like kind
- 41:29Speaker 6: of to go off what Susie said in a way
- 41:31Speaker 6: too though, like trying to make someone like I think,
- 41:36Speaker 6: a lead, like they all the time just pick random
- 41:38Speaker 6: people to be leads, Like I feel like Katie was
- 41:41Speaker 6: like kind of a choice that I didn't see comming
- 41:43Speaker 6: Like Clayton, they don't really care like what the audience
- 41:46Speaker 6: thinks like and in a way, the lead is kind
- 41:49Speaker 6: of just like there, and the show is about the
- 41:52Speaker 6: cast kind of in a way. And I think with
- 41:54Speaker 6: Me and Gabby season, why everyone considers it like such
- 41:57Speaker 6: a big, huge, like failure it sucked was because the
- 41:59Speaker 6: whole seas and what's about me and Gabby and me
- 42:01Speaker 6: and Gabby had all the screen time when we were
- 42:03Speaker 6: on screen crying, where like the seasons that do well,
- 42:07Speaker 6: it's like the cast has drama and it's a good cast.
- 42:10Speaker 6: So I think the lead is kind of just there
- 42:12Speaker 6: in a way, and that might be like a weird take,
- 42:14Speaker 6: but I don't know. It's like they don't carry the
- 42:16Speaker 6: season as much as like the contestants too.
- 42:19Speaker 4: I don't know, I felt like Joey really carried this season.
- 42:22Speaker 4: He just has everything we wanted to watch. And when
- 42:25Speaker 4: I keep referring to like duds in the past, I'm sorry,
- 42:28Speaker 4: but I'm thinking about Clayton and Zach, particularly because those
- 42:31Speaker 4: were two bachelors that we really never asked for at all.
- 42:36Speaker 5: Well, Clayton had a good season, it was dramatic.
- 42:38Speaker 4: Yes, you girls actually carried that season. Yeah, so I
- 42:42Speaker 4: guess it's it's up to the season.
- 42:44Speaker 8: But I agree with Rachel in the sense that like
- 42:46Speaker 8: Joey's girls, yeah wild, like.
- 42:48Speaker 3: They were also incredible cast. Incredible cast.
- 42:51Speaker 7: Yeah, Like I agree with Rachel's but like I think
- 42:54Speaker 7: the cast makes it. And I don't know if they
- 42:57Speaker 7: just don't air it or whatever, but like I feel
- 42:59Speaker 7: like we all we go off of a feel like
- 43:02Speaker 7: Joey seems like an incredible person, right, and that's just
- 43:05Speaker 7: a feeling we get from what he emotes. It's it's
- 43:07Speaker 7: what we hear from all the girls. So it's like
- 43:09Speaker 7: Joey is a good person, right, But we really didn't
- 43:11Speaker 7: get to know that much about him. When you think
- 43:13Speaker 7: about it all, I walk away you know him is like,
- 43:15Speaker 7: my biggest fear is that the person I choose, that's
- 43:18Speaker 7: all I know about him, you know what I mean.
- 43:20Speaker 7: So it's like the cast. Yeah, like I don't know
- 43:23Speaker 7: anything about him.
- 43:24Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 43:24Speaker 4: I think what we have to I think let's agree
- 43:27Speaker 4: on it being probably a perfect combination of both. Yeah
- 43:31Speaker 4: and yeah, that's that's best.
- 43:33Speaker 7: Trouble Like, the lead has to facilitate good like he
- 43:37Speaker 7: was great in one on.
- 43:37Speaker 4: One, but you need him to be likable. He just
- 43:40Speaker 4: had this radiation. He's radiated like ability.
- 43:42Speaker 7: So it is a combination of both, but without a
- 43:44Speaker 7: good cast we got And I would point out to
- 43:48Speaker 7: Rachel saying her season was fairly I don't think it
- 43:51Speaker 7: was at all.
- 43:51Speaker 2: I think there's a lot of variables in everybody's time
- 43:55Speaker 2: that sit here, that's sitting here on this call, when
- 43:59Speaker 2: the show was doing well, and I think there's a
- 44:01Speaker 2: lot of variables to why it was not like getting
- 44:03Speaker 2: the viewership that maybe past seasons received. I don't know
- 44:08Speaker 2: if it was any at any level the leads or
- 44:10Speaker 2: the lack of leads. I do think there were some
- 44:12Speaker 2: weird choices, especially when it comes to the Bachelor, Bachelor
- 44:15Speaker 2: or the Bachelor, But Rachel, the best response that you
- 44:19Speaker 2: ever had, and to go to Susie's point, is your authenticity, Like, yes,
- 44:24Speaker 2: you say it showed you crying a lot. I also
- 44:26Speaker 2: think that brought the viewership in a lot, Like I think, yes,
- 44:29Speaker 2: there was like memes and no, there's memes and jokes
- 44:33Speaker 2: because that's what people do when they watch the show.
- 44:35Speaker 2: But that's also a response. So any response is positive
- 44:40Speaker 2: for the show, good or bad or indifferent. But what
- 44:43Speaker 2: people really related to and what they wanted to respond
- 44:46Speaker 2: to was your moments of authenticity. Who are you gonna be?
- 44:49Speaker 2: What were you gonna say? Put together in perfect ald time? No,
- 44:52Speaker 2: because that's not who humans are when they did, and
- 44:55Speaker 2: so I do think there was that like oh towards
- 44:58Speaker 2: your season of the show, and probably did as best
- 45:01Speaker 2: as it possibly could given the varigals that we were
- 45:03Speaker 2: just speaking of, because of just you and Gabby being
- 45:07Speaker 2: able to be who you were, like unfiltered, uncut together,
- 45:12Speaker 2: like causing chaos and trying to find love like that's beautiful.
- 45:16Speaker 2: I do think in all of this, I hope the
- 45:23Speaker 2: authenticity is allowed from jin We don't know her, we
- 45:26Speaker 2: don't know her at all, right, then, again, that's like,
- 45:29Speaker 2: as Justin was saying, it's not her fault. But last
- 45:32Speaker 2: night when she sat up on stage, it felt like
- 45:35Speaker 2: she was fedlined that she would not have said on
- 45:38Speaker 2: her own. And here's the thing, I don't know her,
- 45:41Speaker 2: so I don't know if she's like susceptible to being,
- 45:44Speaker 2: you know, with that input or what. I hope somebody
- 45:47Speaker 2: gets in her ear here soon. And then it's like
- 45:49Speaker 2: twenty four hours, I guess some pass lead and says, Jin,
- 45:54Speaker 2: you're great, You're incredible, You're obviously funny. We saw some
- 45:59Speaker 2: moments of you on the show, right, like they tried
- 46:01Speaker 2: to make another joke on live television of you making
- 46:05Speaker 2: a joke in the past, like be yourself, Like, never
- 46:10Speaker 2: sacrifice yourself for the sake of what they're telling me
- 46:13Speaker 2: to do, because if you do, this show is gonna
- 46:15Speaker 2: tune you up and spit you out real fast. But
- 46:17Speaker 2: put your foot down now. You're incredible who you are.
- 46:19Speaker 2: You've been chosen. They're not choosing anybody else. Be yourself
- 46:23Speaker 2: because people are gonna most love you if you're yourself,
- 46:26Speaker 2: and you have the best shot of finding love on
- 46:28Speaker 2: the show. But last night, I will say threw a
- 46:31Speaker 2: red flag up for me when it got really weird
- 46:34Speaker 2: and really awkward on my TV and it felt like
- 46:36Speaker 2: she was being fed lines that well she would not
- 46:38Speaker 2: have said naturally, And I'm like, I hope this is
- 46:40Speaker 2: not a marker for the rest of the season for
- 46:42Speaker 2: her sake. Really.
- 46:43Speaker 7: Yeah, even I remember like it felt kind of weird
- 46:47Speaker 7: and again, we don't know her, so maybe this is her.
- 46:49Speaker 7: But even the whole like shot o'clock thing, we were like, oh,
- 46:52Speaker 7: like trying to your fun and so it's just like maybe,
- 46:55Speaker 7: I mean, I'm sure she is fun and funny, but
- 46:57Speaker 7: it's like it felt like production knew, like Okay, they
- 47:01Speaker 7: don't know anything about her, Like let him know you're
- 47:03Speaker 7: fun and you drink.
- 47:05Speaker 2: You take shots.
- 47:10Speaker 8: It's like yeah, but yeah, it's like I think that's
- 47:13Speaker 8: where I'm just like, just let her be her, like,
- 47:15Speaker 8: don't try to like sculpture into any previous anything, because
- 47:18Speaker 8: that's when she'll be successful.
- 47:20Speaker 4: Yeah, it was so awkward, and Ben, I think you're
- 47:22Speaker 4: referring to the line where she said I'm looking for
- 47:24Speaker 4: a big.
- 47:26Speaker 2: Big, big, big.
- 47:27Speaker 3: Big personality.
- 47:29Speaker 4: It's like, yeah, and before we move on completely to that, Rachel,
- 47:34Speaker 4: I just wanted to let you know that you two
- 47:36Speaker 4: are beloved.
- 47:37Speaker 3: Your cast sucked.
- 47:39Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, so you're actually this is like a whole
- 47:42Speaker 4: this is the case in point your cast. I don't
- 47:44Speaker 4: remember one man from it besides Tino and then whatever
- 47:48Speaker 4: the name of the guy that that you chose, that chose,
- 47:54Speaker 4: I have no idea.
- 47:55Speaker 3: I'm sorry, I forget his name already.
- 47:57Speaker 5: So yeah, no, it wasn't. It was a very miserable well.
- 48:01Speaker 6: I mean they were great, they were great, but I
- 48:03Speaker 6: just think no one really know, like they didn't know
- 48:06Speaker 6: how to do the season. There was just like so
- 48:08Speaker 6: many variables. But I was just saying, I think people
- 48:11Speaker 6: grew to dislike me and Gabby Moore just because we
- 48:14Speaker 6: were on screen so much.
- 48:16Speaker 3: Always because the other guys.
- 48:18Speaker 5: Yeah, because there was no drama in the house, like
- 48:20Speaker 5: at all.
- 48:21Speaker 6: The boys didn't fight about a single thing because they
- 48:22Speaker 6: didn't care about being Gabby, so why would they fight
- 48:24Speaker 6: each other?
- 48:25Speaker 5: But yeah, interesting season.
- 48:27Speaker 6: Definitely agree with the gen thing though as well. But
- 48:32Speaker 6: I will say, like the only thing I could think
- 48:34Speaker 6: of is like, I think in that moment, gen or
- 48:37Speaker 6: like any lead, you feel so lucky to be chosen
- 48:40Speaker 6: in that moment. And I think they always kind of
- 48:41Speaker 6: dangle over you, like Maria's in the audience, like Daisy's here,
- 48:45Speaker 6: Like it might not be you, like we're saying it
- 48:47Speaker 6: to you, but it could always change. So maybe she
- 48:49Speaker 6: was just trying to like appease in that moment of
- 48:51Speaker 6: like this splashy like thing that people are going to
- 48:55Speaker 6: talk about, and like, like you said, hopefully she just is.
- 48:58Speaker 5: Able to be more of herself on our own season.
- 49:01Speaker 2: Yeah, that's hope. I think you're right. Yeah again, I go.
- 49:05Speaker 2: I want it to be clear, your first interaction on
- 49:07Speaker 2: live television is not when we're gonna judge off. I'm
- 49:10Speaker 2: not gonna be like I can't. I can't even watch
- 49:11Speaker 2: this season because Jin's gonna be ripping shots and making weird,
- 49:15Speaker 2: you know, bick jokes the whole time. Like no, I
- 49:17Speaker 2: don't think that's what's gonna happen, because but I just
- 49:22Speaker 2: think you're first, like we can't because they hand a
- 49:24Speaker 2: brown right, or or like I'm sure you Rachel, like
- 49:27Speaker 2: you're so nervous, you're so excited, you're so weird out
- 49:29Speaker 2: by this whole thing that you're like, I'll do whatever
- 49:30Speaker 2: just to get off stage and start this thing. So
- 49:34Speaker 2: it's a season I'm excited for. I don't think she's
- 49:36Speaker 2: a bad choice. I don't think she I think she's
- 49:38Speaker 2: an unpopular choice. I don't think will end her season
- 49:42Speaker 2: and be like, can I believe they chose Jin Like.
- 49:44Speaker 2: I don't think it's gonna be case. I don't think
- 49:46Speaker 2: it's gonna feel like some bachelor's a past were like
- 49:48Speaker 2: that never really made sense.
- 49:50Speaker 4: I have two more comments before we wrap this very
- 49:53Speaker 4: long episode up. Sorry, guys. One, I think there's a
- 49:57Speaker 4: good promising. There's there's promise that there's gonna be a
- 50:01Speaker 4: bachelor in Paradise. I don't think that it's going to
- 50:04Speaker 4: happen in the traditional timeline, but I think it will happen,
- 50:08Speaker 4: especially with so many beloved characters from Joey season, and
- 50:12Speaker 4: because I think they want Maria to be the queen.
- 50:14Speaker 3: Of something, just something in which she's.
- 50:16Speaker 4: Not the actual leader. What do you guys think about that? Okay, fine, Well,
- 50:22Speaker 4: my sources also tell me that they're looking for another
- 50:24Speaker 4: spot to shoot the show. You really don't think that
- 50:28Speaker 4: Paradise is going to happen ever? Again, Ben, wait a.
- 50:31Speaker 7: New spot for Paradise or like the new.
- 50:33Speaker 4: Mansion, No for a Paradise Spot because apparently the Paradise
- 50:38Speaker 4: Spot was bought out by somebody and they can't use
- 50:40Speaker 4: that Mexico spot anymore.
- 50:42Speaker 3: Ben, why are you such a pessimist.
- 50:45Speaker 2: I just don't think it's gonna happen this year, I.
- 50:47Speaker 4: Said, not in the traditional timeline. I think it's gonna
- 50:50Speaker 4: happen again at some.
- 50:51Speaker 2: Point in the next five years.
- 50:53Speaker 4: Paradise I'm sure, yes, she wants Jared in my origin
- 50:57Speaker 4: place to be destroyed.
- 50:58Speaker 2: When I'm forty years old, there might be a parent No.
- 51:01Speaker 4: You're being sassy. Okay, he's being sassy. A yes, that
- 51:07Speaker 4: is my next point. Seems as if Kelsey's dad is
- 51:11Speaker 4: going to be on the next season of The Golden Bachelorette.
- 51:16Speaker 3: Well, I don't know. I'm like saying things with confidence
- 51:19Speaker 3: that I shouldn't be.
- 51:20Speaker 4: But guys, they showed that man so many times in
- 51:24Speaker 4: the audience, and I was like, that is such an
- 51:26Speaker 4: attractive man, Like that is such unattractive older man.
- 51:30Speaker 3: Wow.
- 51:31Speaker 4: And I wasn't even thinking about him being on the
- 51:34Speaker 4: Golden Bachelorette. I was thinking, like, make this man the
- 51:37Speaker 4: next Golden Bachelor. And then when they said at the end,
- 51:42Speaker 4: they said, I don't know. When they wrapped up with
- 51:44Speaker 4: Kelsey's dad, Jesse said maybe we'll be seeing more of
- 51:48Speaker 4: you in the future something blah blah blah, and then
- 51:50Speaker 4: his son nudged him and it was all giddy for
- 51:54Speaker 4: a moment.
- 51:54Speaker 3: Did you guys pick up on that.
- 51:56Speaker 7: I didn't hear that.
- 51:58Speaker 3: Oh, it was said like he was like, we'll be
- 52:01Speaker 3: seen hopefully.
- 52:02Speaker 4: We'll be seeing more of you soon or something like that,
- 52:04Speaker 4: and then there was a nudge and then there was
- 52:06Speaker 4: smiles exchange knowing smiles.
- 52:08Speaker 7: I was like looking for something like that, and I
- 52:10Speaker 7: didn't because I.
- 52:13Speaker 6: Don't know.
- 52:14Speaker 4: All I want is that man to not get chosen
- 52:16Speaker 4: to be the fiance the husband, and I want him
- 52:20Speaker 4: to be the next Golden Bachelor. That man is if
- 52:24Speaker 4: he's wanting to, he's wanting to because because I know
- 52:28Speaker 4: it's still recent and I still don't know whether I
- 52:31Speaker 4: would ever want a date again. But those are my
- 52:36Speaker 4: personal insights.
- 52:39Speaker 2: Hey, Susie, Justin Rachel, we're really glad you came on.
