  Speaker 1: doing is you're developing a spiritual discipline. You know, we

  Speaker 1: need to seek the Lord daily. We need to pick

  Speaker 1: week thing. This is not something we do once a
• 2:03
  Speaker 1: month or twice a month. This is something that we

  Speaker 1: need to do on a daily basis. And so this

  Speaker 1: chapter nine. The Book of Acts is amazing. We just
• 5:13
  Speaker 1: on our last episode, we were going over the life
• 5:16
  Speaker 1: of Saul, who becomes Paul the Apostle. Saul was very
• 5:22
  Speaker 1: zealous for his religion of the days. Saul was consumed
• 5:28
  Speaker 1: with going after those who were of the way, those
• 5:32
  Speaker 1: who are calling upon the name of the Lord. This
• 5:35
  Speaker 1: was something new to him and new to Israel. They
• 5:39
  Speaker 1: didn't understand it, but they if they were open to
• 5:44
  Speaker 1: the scriptures. Jesus was telling them the whole time that
• 5:50
  Speaker 1: the scriptures are always talking about him. He is the
• 5:54
  Speaker 1: fulfillment of the law. And so Jesus stops them and
• 6:00
  Speaker 1: he says, why are you persecuting me? And so we
• 6:04
  Speaker 1: saw that we could be working against a movement of
• 6:08
  Speaker 1: God just by refusing not to help. The Lord calls
• 6:14
  Speaker 1: us to help, right, to be a part of the fight.
• 6:19
  Speaker 1: For instance, you can help just by supporting his hot nation.

  Speaker 1: I guarantee you that we are good ground, and we're
• 6:27
  Speaker 1: going to remain good ground as long as I got
• 6:30
  Speaker 1: breadth in my lungs. Amen. Just by praying for us,
• 6:35
  Speaker 1: or just by sending a donation two dollars, three dollars.

  Speaker 1: Hey man, this is not a ploy to get your money. No,

  Speaker 1: this is sowing into the Kingdom so that you can
• 6:48
  Speaker 1: read eternal rewards, so that you are helping in the
• 6:53
  Speaker 1: movement of the Gospel going forward. Just little things like that.

  Speaker 1: Are just being faithful to your local church.

  Speaker 2: It looks like you lost another one.

  Speaker 1: I remember when I was new to my church years ago.

  Speaker 1: My responsibility was to sweep the parking lot, get the

  Speaker 1: cigarette butts and stuff, and sweep all that up. And

  Speaker 1: I took pleasure in it. Just helping to keep my
• 7:23
  Speaker 1: father's house clean. Amen. Just anything to bless the Lord
• 7:32
  Speaker 1: and to help the gospel go forward. Amen. But I'd
• 7:38
  Speaker 1: rather do that than to work against God. And so
• 7:41
  Speaker 1: we're gonna see opposition. We're gonna see all that through
• 7:45
  Speaker 1: the life of Paul the Apostle. This man became a
• 7:50
  Speaker 1: firecracker for Christ. So let's go ahead and jump into it.

  Speaker 1: We're gonna pick it up. In verse eighteen back it
• 8:01
  Speaker 1: up a little bit and they we're gonna go forward
• 8:03
  Speaker 1: from there. So this is where Annanayas had prayed for Paul.
• 8:08
  Speaker 1: Paul was blind and immediately they fell from his eyes,
• 8:14
  Speaker 1: something like scales.
• 8:16
  Speaker 3: Right.
• 8:17
  Speaker 1: So Saul was healed, he was baptized, and he immediately
• 8:22
  Speaker 1: responded to the gospel. God will a true encounter with
• 8:28
  Speaker 1: Christ will change your life. Amen. You see testimonies all
• 8:34
  Speaker 1: over the world of Muslims who encounter Christ and they
• 8:40
  Speaker 1: come back changed, they come back repented, they come back
• 8:45
  Speaker 1: trying to reach people, trying to preach the gospel to people.

  Speaker 1: And I've heard preachers say, if your faith hasn't changed you,
• 8:56
  Speaker 1: your faith has not saved you. Amen. Now, let's good

  Speaker 1: at verse nineteen and twenty. So when he had received food,

  Speaker 1: he was strengthened. Then Saul spent two days with the
• 9:13
  Speaker 1: disciples at Damascus. So we talked about discipleship, We talked
• 9:23
  Speaker 1: about how important to have someone pour into your life,
• 9:30
  Speaker 1: someone who is biblically correct.
• 9:33
  Speaker 3: Right, it looks.
• 9:35
  Speaker 2: Like you lost another one.
• 9:41
  Speaker 3: And so.

  Speaker 1: Immediately he preached to Christ in verse twenty. So I'm like,
• 9:53
  Speaker 1: let's go to nineteen years. So when he had received food,
• 9:57
  Speaker 1: he was strengthened. Then saw spent some days. I said

  Speaker 1: two days, but it says spent some days with the
• 10:06
  Speaker 1: disciples at Damascus. Immediately he preached the Christ in the
• 10:12
  Speaker 1: synagogues that he is the Son of God. Hallelujah. That's amazing.

  Speaker 1: He his the ground running. Then all who heard were
• 10:25
  Speaker 1: amazed and said, is this not he who destroyed those
• 10:29
  Speaker 1: who called on this name in Jerusalem and has come
• 10:36
  Speaker 1: here for that purpose so that he might bring them
• 10:41
  Speaker 1: bound to the chief priest.

  Speaker 4: A man.
• 10:46
  Speaker 1: So immediately he preached Christ in the synagogue. There was
• 10:56
  Speaker 1: no waiting period. Saul testified immediately, like you went straight
• 11:02
  Speaker 1: at it right now. You don't need to know everything
• 11:06
  Speaker 1: to tell what Jesus did for you. You don't need
• 11:10
  Speaker 1: to go to seminary, you don't need to go to
• 11:12
  Speaker 1: Bible college. All you have to do is tell people
• 11:15
  Speaker 1: what Jesus has done for you. That is your witness,
• 11:19
  Speaker 1: that is your testimony. No one can argue against your
• 11:24
  Speaker 1: personal experience or your personal testimony. Right and sometimes you know,
• 11:35
  Speaker 1: like for myself, this is the first time that I've
• 11:40
  Speaker 1: ever received a college degree in evident associates and Biblical studies.
• 11:47
  Speaker 1: Thanks to the Lord but I don't need that to
• 11:50
  Speaker 1: tell people what God has done for me or how
• 11:53
  Speaker 1: good God is. Amen. If God has done something for you,
• 11:59
  Speaker 1: you need to share it. As a matter of fact,
• 12:02
  Speaker 1: I'm gonna start inviting people into this podcast and share
• 12:06
  Speaker 1: their testimonies about what God has done for you. Hallelujah.

  Speaker 1: I have the first person that I want to invite
• 12:16
  Speaker 1: on here to have that discussion. So thank you, Holy Spirit.

  Speaker 1: And then in verse two, the one they're saying, is
• 12:26
  Speaker 1: this not he who destroyed those who called on this name? Hallelujah?
• 12:32
  Speaker 1: And remember their last podcast, I received a revelation through
• 12:38
  Speaker 1: the Holy Spirit that the Bible tells us those who
• 12:43
  Speaker 1: call up on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
• 12:47
  Speaker 1: This is the only way, beloved, that we're gonna make
• 12:50
  Speaker 1: it into heaven. And this is a continuous calling. We
• 12:54
  Speaker 1: need to call up on the Lord daily. Right, They
• 12:58
  Speaker 1: were actively calling up on the name of the Lord.
• 13:01
  Speaker 1: Are you actively calling upon the name of the Lord.
• 13:05
  Speaker 1: This is our prayer life. This is where our relationship
• 13:09
  Speaker 1: with God actually gets hammered out. It's good to know scripture, Amen,
• 13:17
  Speaker 1: It's good to study the Word. But if you're just
• 13:19
  Speaker 1: studying the Word and you're not praying, you're missing it.
• 13:23
  Speaker 1: The word is to lead us to the presence of God.
• 13:26
  Speaker 1: And then once we get into his presence, we worship,
• 13:30
  Speaker 1: we praise him, and we speak to him. We call
• 13:33
  Speaker 1: upon the name of the Lord. And like I said
• 13:38
  Speaker 1: before examining your prayer life, if Saul came to arrest you,
• 13:43
  Speaker 1: if he broke down your door, would he put you
• 13:46
  Speaker 1: in handcuffs or would he just walk past you and
• 13:49
  Speaker 1: maybe go after your grandma or somebody like are you
• 13:53
  Speaker 1: calling upon the name of the Lord? Because that's who
• 13:55
  Speaker 1: he's after. And I pray to be guilty every time.

  Speaker 1: But his task was to destroy those who called up
• 14:13
  Speaker 1: on the name of the Lord. Now, transformation confesses and
• 14:24
  Speaker 1: transformation observes. In other words, people should be able to
• 14:33
  Speaker 1: see the difference in your life, the way you talk,
• 14:37
  Speaker 1: the way you live. A change life is undeniable evidence
• 14:44
  Speaker 1: of God's powers should be working in our lives. Amen,
• 14:49
  Speaker 1: they should be breaking down our doors. I hope we
• 14:52
  Speaker 1: get if they ever make Christianity illegal in America. I'm
• 14:57
  Speaker 1: hoping to get arrested. I want to be the first
• 14:59
  Speaker 1: one and let it be evidence that Christ is in
• 15:03
  Speaker 1: my life. Hallelujah. All right, let's go to verse twenty two.
• 15:12
  Speaker 1: But Saul increased all the more in strength and confounded
• 15:19
  Speaker 1: the Jews who dwelt in Damascus, proving that this is Jesus,
• 15:26
  Speaker 1: and that Jesus is the Christ amen verse twenty two. Now,
• 15:42
  Speaker 1: after the days were passed, the Jews ploted to kill him,
• 15:47
  Speaker 1: but their plot became known to Saul, and they watched
• 15:52
  Speaker 1: the gates day and night to kill him. Then the
• 15:55
  Speaker 1: disciples took him by night and let him down through
• 16:00
  Speaker 1: the wall in a large basket. Hallelujah. Now it says
• 16:10
  Speaker 1: Saw increased all the more in strength. Now if it
• 16:15
  Speaker 1: says increase, this is gradual. One thing that I realized
• 16:20
  Speaker 1: about the kingdom, and this is actually a principle in
• 16:23
  Speaker 1: the world. Right, there's a principle of increasing, like you
• 16:30
  Speaker 1: don't get it all at once. I want to say,
• 16:34
  Speaker 1: let's talk about finances. Let's say come compound interest. They
• 16:39
  Speaker 1: always tell you to put a little way. If you
• 16:41
  Speaker 1: start young, you put money away. When you get older,
• 16:44
  Speaker 1: you would be wealthy. That's a principle. It's very rare
• 16:49
  Speaker 1: when people get it all at once. And that's the
• 16:52
  Speaker 1: same thing spiritually, like you have to increase, like your
• 16:57
  Speaker 1: prayer life increases. It takes twenty one days to develop
• 17:00
  Speaker 1: a habit. That's why I encourage people to come on
• 17:04
  Speaker 1: this podcast every day. Eleven o'clock is usually your lunch
• 17:07
  Speaker 1: break or something. Or even if you can't make it,
• 17:11
  Speaker 1: go to the replay, right, go to the archives on
• 17:16
  Speaker 1: the app. That's what Zoom three does. And it just
• 17:20
  Speaker 1: develops and you start to increase, and then your prayer
• 17:24
  Speaker 1: life and all that, it starts to get stronger. And
• 17:27
  Speaker 1: that's what the enemy fights that he fights consistency when
• 17:32
  Speaker 1: it comes to our prayer life. If you notice you
• 17:35
  Speaker 1: don't have a problem going on social media every day,
• 17:38
  Speaker 1: or you don't have a problem, you know, just think
• 17:41
  Speaker 1: of some of the bad habits we've developed. Right, there
• 17:45
  Speaker 1: wasn't a problem being consistent. But when it comes to
• 17:49
  Speaker 1: serving God and prayer and study and all that stuff,
• 17:53
  Speaker 1: it's a fight. It's a battle. But once we increase
• 17:57
  Speaker 1: and get that strength, it's hard to stop us. And
• 18:02
  Speaker 1: so the enemy is trying to come against that principle
• 18:06
  Speaker 1: of increase. Right, but here you see saw he increased
• 18:10
  Speaker 1: all the more strength. Now, truth will always silence opposition,
• 18:19
  Speaker 1: and so we saw where Saul was debating and the
• 18:24
  Speaker 1: Jews couldn't do nothing with it. Boldness grows when truth
• 18:29
  Speaker 1: is grounded in scripture. Now, I wish I would have heard.
• 18:35
  Speaker 1: I wish I would have been there to hear some
• 18:38
  Speaker 1: of these discussions, right, But the Jews could not handle him.
• 18:45
  Speaker 1: Saul was in there talking, and he not only taught,
• 18:53
  Speaker 1: but he confounded the Jews. The Jews were confounded, like,
• 18:58
  Speaker 1: there's like, where is this coming from? Now? They watched
• 19:06
  Speaker 1: day and night to kill him. At this point, since
• 19:08
  Speaker 1: they couldn't do nothing with them, They's like, man, we
• 19:12
  Speaker 1: got to get rid of this guy right now. That's
• 19:15
  Speaker 1: always a coward move, that's like the easy way out. Yeah,
• 19:22
  Speaker 1: let's just take somebody's life. And they felt they didn't
• 19:25
  Speaker 1: have to deal with the truth if they got rid
• 19:27
  Speaker 1: of Paul. But of course that is not the truth,
• 19:32
  Speaker 1: and we know that's just deception. We all have to
• 19:36
  Speaker 1: go before the Lord and give an account of our lives.
• 19:45
  Speaker 1: Now right here, it's funny the persecutor became the target.
• 19:50
  Speaker 1: Saul came to persecute the saints and those who called
• 19:56
  Speaker 1: upon the Lord, and now that same spirit jumped on
• 19:59
  Speaker 1: everybody else, and now he is the target. He's getting
• 20:04
  Speaker 1: a little taste of his own medicine. When you switch sides,
• 20:09
  Speaker 1: resistance comes with a calling. Now just think about it,
• 20:16
  Speaker 1: like this, Satan lost one of his generals, right, this dude,
• 20:21
  Speaker 1: he didn't know he was doing the will of Satan
• 20:24
  Speaker 1: and he was doing a good job. But now he's
• 20:28
  Speaker 1: a trader and Satan lost another one. There's so many
• 20:34
  Speaker 1: testimonies of Look up John Aryan Merits, He's one of
• 20:38
  Speaker 1: my favorite ones. So many witches and warlocks and Satanists
• 20:43
  Speaker 1: who are turning to Christ and now they are exposing
• 20:47
  Speaker 1: his kingdom. I've gotten so many of his books. But
• 20:53
  Speaker 1: just look it up. Ex witches and ex warlocks and
• 20:56
  Speaker 1: people who are trying to let the Church know how
• 20:59
  Speaker 1: the enemy operates a man, and we see it right
• 21:05
  Speaker 1: here with Saul. Alright, let's go to verse twenty six.

  Speaker 1: And when Saul had come to Jerusalem, he tried to
• 21:20
  Speaker 1: join the disciples, but they were all afraid of him
• 21:25
  Speaker 1: and did not believe that he was a disciple. I mean,
• 21:31
  Speaker 1: I can't say that I blame them, you know what
• 21:33
  Speaker 1: I mean. Trust is going to take time. They can't
• 21:41
  Speaker 1: just immediately jump into a situation or a circumstance. Your
• 21:49
  Speaker 1: past made delay your trust, but faithfulness restores credibility. Faithfulness
• 22:00
  Speaker 1: restores credibility. Hallelujah, Thank you Lord. Now, if he's just
• 22:07
  Speaker 1: stayed faithful and allow God to establish what he's doing
• 22:12
  Speaker 1: in your life. Faithfulness, consistency is what we're just talking about.

  Speaker 1: That's where we're going to get our growth. We're going
• 22:20
  Speaker 1: to increase and we're going to establish the credibility Verse
• 22:29
  Speaker 1: twenty seven. But rabbits took him and brought him to
• 22:35
  Speaker 1: the apostles, and he declared to them how he had
• 22:41
  Speaker 1: seen the Lord on the road, and that he had
• 22:45
  Speaker 1: spoken to him, and how he had preached boldly at
• 22:50
  Speaker 1: Damascus in the name of Jesus. Hallelujah. Becausebas Barnabas, that
• 22:58
  Speaker 1: word means encourager. We all need a Barnabas in our lives. Amen.

  Speaker 1: Barnabas had a great ministry, and Barnabas became the bridge.
• 23:10
  Speaker 1: He was a bridge builder between the church and between
• 23:17
  Speaker 1: the apostle. Everyone needs a Barnabas, someone willing to vouch
• 23:25
  Speaker 1: for the grace of God on your life. I need
• 23:30
  Speaker 1: a Barnabas for the ministry that I've been able to
• 23:35
  Speaker 1: do and am still doing and trying to reach and
• 23:40
  Speaker 1: trying to connect our community. Amen. It's great to have
• 23:47
  Speaker 1: good connections. It's great to have a team, and it's
• 23:52
  Speaker 1: great to have people in our lives that believe in
• 23:55
  Speaker 1: the vision and that are not selfish. Right, they're not jealous,
• 24:00
  Speaker 1: they're not competing because that's not kingdom. But they want
• 24:05
  Speaker 1: to sow in our field and help build us up.
• 24:08
  Speaker 1: That's how the kingdom is built. Bless somebody else, helps
• 24:11
  Speaker 1: somebody else, and God will bless us, Amen, hallelujah. Twenty
• 24:20
  Speaker 1: eight through thirty and So he was with them at Jerusalem,
• 24:26
  Speaker 1: coming in and going out, and he spoke boldly in
• 24:31
  Speaker 1: the name of the Lord Jesus and disputed against the
• 24:35
  Speaker 1: Hellenists that they attempted to kill him. When the Brethren
• 24:42
  Speaker 1: found out, they brought him down to cessarea and sent
• 24:47
  Speaker 1: him out unto Tarsus. Man. This was a great time
• 24:53
  Speaker 1: of revival. Now the apostle here he spoke boldly in
• 24:59
  Speaker 1: the name of Lord. Hallelujah. We need to add that
• 25:03
  Speaker 1: to our prayer list, that this will be our testimony.

  Speaker 1: You know, I need to speak up more. When people
• 25:14
  Speaker 1: begin to brag about their sin, right, they begin to
• 25:17
  Speaker 1: talk about their sin, confessing their sins around me. I
• 25:21
  Speaker 1: pray for more boldness to speak up for the Lord. Right,
• 25:28
  Speaker 1: Saul never lost his boldness. He was bold when he
• 25:31
  Speaker 1: was against Christ. Now that he's on the same word,
• 25:35
  Speaker 1: the same team, he's bold lifting up the name of Christ.
• 25:40
  Speaker 1: And I can see why the Lord chose him. Damn.
• 25:46
  Speaker 1: Bold faith often requires wise relocation. Right, wise relocation. They
• 25:56
  Speaker 1: had to rescue the apostle because now they have a
• 26:04
  Speaker 1: death wish out on this man. And you know what,
• 26:08
  Speaker 1: this is still the same today. A lot of Christians
• 26:12
  Speaker 1: who have bold faith get targeted. And it's happening to me.
