- 0:12Speaker 1: Hey everybody, welcome to Pink Shade. It's Tuesday, it's TLC Tuesday.
- 0:17Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, we have a new show, new show,
- 0:21Speaker 1: who dis?
- 0:22Speaker 2: New people to hate, except we don't hate them yet.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Except we will hate them soon. We'll probably hate them
- 0:29Speaker 2: in two to three weeks. And I am looking forward
- 0:32Speaker 2: to the next two or three weeks before I hate
- 0:36Speaker 2: all their guts and I want them to leave.
- 0:40Speaker 1: You're doing that thing of that guy that was like,
- 0:42Speaker 1: one thing about it is when I was at Thanksgiving
- 0:45Speaker 1: and my mom... I forgot. I loved her so much.
- 0:49Speaker 2: If my aunt decided on Thanksgiving, it would be a
- 0:53Speaker 2: good idea to invite her to all to her house
- 0:58Speaker 2: and then to die upstairs. But then we were waiting
- 1:02Speaker 2: for the coroner to come because that's a thing that
- 1:05Speaker 2: you do. And then we decided that my aunt made
- 1:09Speaker 2: this pie so we should at least eat it. So
- 1:12Speaker 2: we ate the pie while she was dead upstairs.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Kimberly's in New York and she's really embracing the Broadway
- 1:21Speaker 1: of it all.
- 1:23Speaker 2: I did see Schmigadoon the other night. It was fabulous.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Okay. Yeah. You have, have you had other Broadway experiences
- 1:32Speaker 1: since you've been there?
- 1:33Speaker 2: No, not yet. But there's like an app where you
- 1:37Speaker 2: can get very, very last minute tickets that people are reselling.
- 1:40Speaker 2: And so I literally went on and was like, yes, tonight,
- 1:44Speaker 2: let's go. Okay.
- 1:45Speaker 1: I want you to go see O'Mary.
- 1:47Speaker 2: I'm dying to see O'Mary. The problem is Bowen Yang
- 1:50Speaker 2: seems to be out on certain dates. So I'm deciding
- 1:53Speaker 2: how important it is if I see him or if
- 1:55Speaker 2: I just want to see the show.
- 1:57Speaker 1: I think you should just see the show. Yeah. I
- 1:59Speaker 1: think you should just see the show. I did see
- 2:01Speaker 1: it with Cola Scola, and I'd never see anything first run.
- 2:06Speaker 1: You can't say anything. You could go Hamilton. You could
- 2:08Speaker 1: say anything, and Ingrid would go, saw it with the
- 2:10Speaker 1: original cast, saw it with the original cast. And I'm
- 2:13Speaker 1: always like, okay, great. Well, I saw it in the
- 2:15Speaker 1: touring company in D.C., so whatever. It was still good. Bitch.
- 2:18Speaker 2: I know. You're not better than us.
- 2:21Speaker 1: She's really not listening because she's on vacation. We could
- 2:25Speaker 1: say whatever we want.
- 2:26Speaker 2: She said she does listen to us sometimes, and that
- 2:28Speaker 2: made me very scared. The things that we have said
- 2:31Speaker 2: about her, thinking that she wasn't listening.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Christina is filling in. Thank you, Christina. Christina is a
- 2:39Speaker 1: wonderful producer.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Is she actually listening? Okay.
- 2:43Speaker 1: She probably is listening.
- 2:44Speaker 2: I don't know her. She seems lovely.
- 2:46Speaker 1: I think Christina is an actual listener of this show. Wow. Yeah,
- 2:54Speaker 1: I know. It's surprising. It's surprising, but she is. She
- 2:57Speaker 1: also does production for Jake and Matt and Ben and Ronnie.
- 3:01Speaker 2: So she's a roster.
- 3:03Speaker 1: What a roster, including Pink Shade. I mean, come on.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Come on. Thank you, Christina, for filling in while Ingrid
- 3:11Speaker 1: is out. She is in Canada. So she really didn't
- 3:17Speaker 1: go that far. Truly, she has no excuse for not working,
- 3:19Speaker 1: but she's going to be on a boat. So looking
- 3:24Speaker 1: at the leaves and things in Canada with her family.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Oh, I'm so jealous.
- 3:27Speaker 1: That actually sounds pretty, right?
- 3:29Speaker 2: Yeah. It sounds amazing.
- 3:30Speaker 1: It sounds like something you do when you're old and
- 3:32Speaker 1: you think it sounds exciting.
- 3:33Speaker 2: No, leaf peeping. I just taught Katie about leaf peeping
- 3:37Speaker 2: and how it's a thing that sounds naughty but is not.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Now, are you going to be on date with Dateline
- 3:45Speaker 1: this week?
- 3:47Speaker 2: No, not yet. Katie's handling it and I don't know
- 3:51Speaker 2: what's happening and I'm just, I don't, I'm unawares and
- 3:54Speaker 2: I'm fine with it.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Okay.
- 3:56Speaker 2: I'm letting the reins go. I don't know what's happening.
- 4:00Speaker 2: I know we posted our, a date with the bank
- 4:02Speaker 2: episode to YouTube, but I don't think it's been posted
- 4:06Speaker 2: to the podcast feed and I don't know why. And
- 4:09Speaker 2: I'm just not going to worry about it.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Okay.
- 4:11Speaker 2: Letting, letting go of the reins.
- 4:14Speaker 1: It's hard. It's hard. It's rough. It's rough. You've got Adam.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Can Adam help? Uh-huh.
- 4:20Speaker 2: He's going to post it to YouTube. So hopefully they'll
- 4:24Speaker 2: connect and talk.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Okay. But you know what? You might get to go
- 4:28Speaker 1: see Elmery tonight. So you don't know.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Who knows?
- 4:31Speaker 1: Who knows? But let's talk about this, guys. We have
- 4:33Speaker 1: a new show. It's 90 Day the Other Way, Season
- 4:36Speaker 1: 8 of 90 Day the Other Way, Episode 1. Love
- 4:42Speaker 1: Lies and La Dolce Vita.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Yes.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Exciting for me is there is a couple on here
- 4:47Speaker 1: and the guy is from florence italy where i'm going
- 4:50Speaker 1: next month at the end of this month that's amazing
- 4:54Speaker 1: so will i be trying to find them yes yes i.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Will and it looks amazing it looks beautiful.
- 4:58Speaker 1: It looks beautiful i can't wait um but we're going
- 5:01Speaker 1: to start with uh an oldie buddy goodie a favorite
- 5:05Speaker 1: and that is matilda and niles and uh You know,
- 5:13Speaker 1: as per usual, Niles is not telling the truth.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Niles has learned nothing, which is disappointing. I still love him,
- 5:21Speaker 2: but he has not learned from his mistakes, which is
- 5:24Speaker 2: what we don't want from these people. We don't want growth,
- 5:29Speaker 2: because if there were growth, there would be no TV show.
- 5:32Speaker 2: So we want no emotional progress being made.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Okay, perfect.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Keep these people away from therapists.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Except... KD. You will know Katie needs all the therapy
- 5:46Speaker 1: from last season. But just like quick plug for Love
- 5:50Speaker 1: After Lockup Relationship Rehab, which came out, our episode came
- 5:53Speaker 1: out on Monday. Dr.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Ish. I haven't heard, listened to it yet, but I'm
- 5:57Speaker 2: dying to know if you love Dr. Ish as much
- 5:59Speaker 2: as I do.
- 6:01Speaker 1: I'd like to move in with Dr. Ish.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Right?
- 6:03Speaker 1: Dr. Ish should be on every program. Right? After one episode.
- 6:07Speaker 1: After one episode, I'm like, he should be on every show.
- 6:10Speaker 2: He's so good. I only know him from Mama June,
- 6:13Speaker 2: but he is like just so good.
- 6:16Speaker 1: So maybe you could help Niles. I don't know. Yeah,
- 6:19Speaker 1: he could.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Yeah. So Niles is from Mobile, Alabama. That's the only
- 6:25Speaker 2: time I'm going to do that accent because he doesn't
- 6:27Speaker 2: really have an accent.
- 6:28Speaker 1: He doesn't have much of a Southern accent. He really doesn't.
- 6:31Speaker 2: He's 29. Matilda, 26, from Ofenso, Ghana. Sure. We have
- 6:39Speaker 2: two people from Ghana this season.
- 6:41Speaker 1: I know. That's crazy. I know. Matilda just.
- 6:44Speaker 2: How big is Ghana? Do they know each other? Or
- 6:47Speaker 2: is it a very large country?
- 6:50Speaker 1: I'm sure, but I just, Matilda continues to be just
- 6:53Speaker 1: cute as a button.
- 6:54Speaker 2: I'm just, she's as cute as her name. I love
- 6:57Speaker 2: the name Matilda. I love Matilda. So we're seeing the
- 7:00Speaker 2: opening is some sort of D & D dragon type
- 7:04Speaker 2: board game. Game of Thrones, dragons, things like that. But
- 7:09Speaker 2: it's actually Niles, and he's telling the story of his
- 7:11Speaker 2: Princess Matilda with the board game pieces to a dude
- 7:17Speaker 2: who wants to buy a goblet from him because they're
- 7:20Speaker 2: at some sort of convention or gaming store, unsure. I
- 7:29Speaker 2: really could not tell if it was a convention or
- 7:31Speaker 2: a gaming store or.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Or the rec room at a church. Like you just couldn't.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Couldn't tell. But he is trying to sell his wares.
- 7:40Speaker 2: He's an apothecary trying to sell. No, he's wearing a
- 7:44Speaker 2: hooded cape and he is selling some of his role
- 7:47Speaker 2: playing game memorabilia to make money. for Ghana. And he
- 7:53Speaker 2: is trying to sell to people dressed like fairies and knights.
- 7:57Speaker 2: And I loved it all. I love it.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Health years, the whole thing.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Yes, the whole thing. And he is grinning at people
- 8:03Speaker 2: slightly awkwardly because he has autism spectrum disorder. And I was,
- 8:09Speaker 2: at this point, lost any interest in him because there
- 8:14Speaker 2: was a large black dog that walked by by itself.
- 8:20Speaker 2: not on a leash, loose at the convention or store.
- 8:24Speaker 2: I was like, is that an Animagus from Harry Potter?
- 8:28Speaker 2: Is that Sirius Black? Because he can take a large
- 8:33Speaker 2: black dog who is walking around without an owner, without
- 8:37Speaker 2: a leash.
- 8:38Speaker 1: I did not see this dog at all.
- 8:40Speaker 2: So I automatically assumed that's a wizard. That's a wizard, Harry.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Okay. Okay.
- 8:47Speaker 2: And I got so excited. So then Niles tells this
- 8:52Speaker 2: fairy girl with elf ears that this little figure that
- 8:56Speaker 2: he's trying to sell her is how he sees his wife.
- 8:58Speaker 2: He likes to imagine that he and Matilda are in
- 9:00Speaker 2: an epic love story. Two young black people who fell
- 9:04Speaker 2: in love 4,000 miles away. And we then cut to
- 9:09Speaker 2: Matilda driving in Ghana. She did not drive before. I
- 9:12Speaker 2: do not believe she had a car.
- 9:15Speaker 1: We never saw her drive before.
- 9:17Speaker 2: No. And she's calling other drivers stupid, which is just,
- 9:21Speaker 2: she's a cute as a button road rager. And Niles
- 9:28Speaker 2: tells us they met on social media. He told her
- 9:31Speaker 2: to slide into his DMs, which I don't think that's
- 9:34Speaker 2: how that works.
- 9:35Speaker 1: You either do or you don't.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Is it sliding in if you had the person to
- 9:39Speaker 2: do that?
- 9:41Speaker 1: No, it's not.
- 9:43Speaker 2: But good for him for being assertive because he's not
- 9:46Speaker 2: very assertive. And they were friends at first because she
- 9:49Speaker 2: was in another relationship. I didn't remember this.
- 9:53Speaker 1: I don't remember that either.
- 9:54Speaker 2: And he thought, oh, that's a bummer. Maybe they didn't
- 9:58Speaker 2: tell us. He was like... oh, that's a bummer. She's
- 10:01Speaker 2: in a relationship. I guess we'll just be friends. But
- 10:03Speaker 2: then they broke up and he said, I got so excited.
- 10:07Speaker 2: And he goes, that sounds horrible, doesn't it? This guy
- 10:10Speaker 2: got his heart ripped in two. And I was like,
- 10:12Speaker 2: this is my chance. So he's so fun and cute.
- 10:17Speaker 2: I love Niles. So they talked online for two years
- 10:21Speaker 2: and he flew out to Ghana to meet her. And
- 10:23Speaker 2: we see a flashback of them meeting at the airport.
- 10:26Speaker 2: And she asks, should I call him daddy? And he
- 10:29Speaker 2: makes a joke that he has an erection. And it
- 10:33Speaker 2: was the most innocent erection joke ever seen on this
- 10:36Speaker 2: show because he doesn't actually say anything gross. He just says,
- 10:40Speaker 2: it's a good thing the camera is waist up.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. We get a lot of that on Love
- 10:45Speaker 1: is Blonde.
- 10:45Speaker 2: But then they start banging each other.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Pillow on the lap. Yeah. Pillow.
- 10:51Speaker 2: But they started banging pretty quickly, right? Or did they
- 10:54Speaker 2: wait till the wedding? I can't remember.
- 10:56Speaker 1: No, no, no. They banged before the wedding, I believe.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Okay. And they loved it. So basically, they totally cut
- 11:07Speaker 2: out the whole sequence of how they got married and
- 11:10Speaker 2: they make it seem like he was totally excited to
- 11:12Speaker 2: marry her, which is not what happened at all. He
- 11:15Speaker 2: went- thinking he was going to have to break the
- 11:19Speaker 2: news to her that they weren't getting married because he
- 11:22Speaker 2: hadn't saved up the money and he wasn't ready. But
- 11:24Speaker 2: he was pressured into marrying her by a one-handed elder
- 11:30Speaker 2: of the village named Mr.
- 11:32Speaker 1: Ark. Mr. Ark.
- 11:33Speaker 2: Yes, I was trying to remember. Mr. Ark was as
- 11:38Speaker 2: cut out of that montage as his hand was.
- 11:42Speaker 1: Never forget before the wedding, he said, remember. We only
- 11:47Speaker 1: do it in the vagina, not in the anus.
- 11:48Speaker 2: No anal.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Yeah, no anal.
- 11:52Speaker 2: So then he had to leave. He promised Matilda that
- 11:55Speaker 2: he would bring her to the U.S. in five months.
- 11:57Speaker 2: He said, that was really stupid on my part because
- 12:01Speaker 2: he's broke and he had no idea how long visas
- 12:05Speaker 2: take to come from Africa. Yeah. And so it's been
- 12:09Speaker 2: two years. They haven't seen each other since then. And
- 12:12Speaker 2: they have argued a lot about that. So we see
- 12:16Speaker 2: Matilda is getting her car washed. And I was like,
- 12:18Speaker 2: she's driving a car and she's getting it washed. Does
- 12:21Speaker 2: she have more money than I do?
- 12:22Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:23Speaker 2: Because my car is perpetually covered in an inch of dirt.
- 12:29Speaker 2: So she's stepped up in life. And she says going
- 12:32Speaker 2: two years without sex with her husband has been very hard.
- 12:36Speaker 2: She's a horny little rabbit.
- 12:37Speaker 1: They both are. They both are.
- 12:40Speaker 2: And the car wash guy says, I thought you left.
- 12:44Speaker 2: And I bet she has to.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Deal with that a lot because I'm sure everyone in
- 12:47Speaker 1: the village knew that she had been like.
- 12:49Speaker 2: Was married to an American who was going to take
- 12:51Speaker 2: her away. And then it didn't happen. So she's like,
- 12:55Speaker 2: my husband's just getting things together. I swear I'm leaving soon.
- 12:59Speaker 2: And she says it's her dream to get to America
- 13:02Speaker 2: and have an education and have a family with Niles.
- 13:06Speaker 2: And Niles tells, meanwhile, this total stranger that he's trying
- 13:10Speaker 2: to sell to that he's going to Ghana to see
- 13:12Speaker 2: his wife. And he wants to give her a surprise
- 13:15Speaker 2: that money can't buy. And the surprise is him because
- 13:19Speaker 2: Matilda thinks he's going for two weeks to visit, but
- 13:22Speaker 2: he's actually moving there. And she kind of sort of
- 13:25Speaker 2: definitely maybe doesn't know because he didn't tell her. And
- 13:30Speaker 2: so he has learned nothing. And he still does that
- 13:33Speaker 2: masking trait where he lies to avoid any sort of
- 13:38Speaker 2: conflict whatsoever.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Where are they going to live?
- 13:41Speaker 2: No idea. Okay. So he sells something called a screeching
- 13:46Speaker 2: weaver for 75 bucks. Wow. And apparently that's a really
- 13:50Speaker 2: good price for.
- 13:51Speaker 1: A screeching weaver. Look that up. Screeching weaver. Next.
- 13:56Speaker 2: He's at home and he's putting out snacks and specialty
- 14:00Speaker 2: flavored sodas for his friend Gabe. And I was so
- 14:03Speaker 2: excited that he has a new friend because he didn't
- 14:07Speaker 2: really have a ton of friends.
- 14:09Speaker 1: A screeching weaver is a kind of a bird. I
- 14:13Speaker 1: don't know.
- 14:14Speaker 2: Okay. It's some sort of collecting guard card. Yeah. Collectible
- 14:18Speaker 2: card that I guess. Yeah.
- 14:20Speaker 1: I was glad he had a friend too.
- 14:22Speaker 2: Yeah, and the music is like, we're popping bottles, bottles.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:28Speaker 2: So he's getting the cool hip-hop music, just like Greg
- 14:33Speaker 2: from Long Island.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:37Speaker 2: He's popping these soda bottles that are flavored like peanut
- 14:40Speaker 2: butter and jelly and stuff that you get at a
- 14:42Speaker 2: specialty store. And Niles explains that it's not weird and
- 14:47Speaker 2: ranch soda is basically like eating salad with ranch dressing
- 14:51Speaker 2: with a soda on the side. It's the same thing.
- 14:54Speaker 2: And the producer's like, no, it's not.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Ew.
- 14:57Speaker 2: That's nasty.
- 14:58Speaker 1: Ew.
- 14:59Speaker 2: Gabe is his very good friend. They're playing video games.
- 15:02Speaker 2: And he says, I'm a lot to deal with, so
- 15:04Speaker 2: I don't have a lot of friends. So again, really
- 15:07Speaker 2: glad he has Gabe. Niall says something like he can
- 15:11Speaker 2: still gamble in Ghana because there's internet. So I was wondering,
- 15:15Speaker 2: does he do a lot of online gambling?
- 15:18Speaker 1: Wait, did he say gamble or game?
- 15:21Speaker 2: He said gamble, but gaming is what I was hoping
- 15:24Speaker 2: they were talking about. But- Let's go with game.
- 15:30Speaker 1: Okay. Okay.
- 15:30Speaker 2: I'm really hoping I was wrong and that he's not
- 15:33Speaker 2: an online gambler because they have a lot of money problems.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 15:37Speaker 2: So let's hope that I've just misheard. And he said game.
- 15:41Speaker 2: The housing situation right now is that Matilda moved out
- 15:46Speaker 2: of the apartment, needs money for a new place. And
- 15:50Speaker 2: he said, we don't really have any money. And Matilda
- 15:53Speaker 2: threw a temper tantrum because she mismanaged the money that
- 15:57Speaker 2: he sent her and was going to be homeless. And
- 16:00Speaker 2: he told her, you're not going to be homeless. Just
- 16:02Speaker 2: move back in with your family. And she did not
- 16:06Speaker 2: take that very well. I think she's become a little spoiled.
- 16:10Speaker 2: A little spoiled. And so he tells Gabe that he
- 16:16Speaker 2: hasn't told her that he's moving there. Um, Gabe says, yeah,
- 16:20Speaker 2: she's a bit of a diva, but you can't just
- 16:22Speaker 2: show up like surprise. I'm moving here. And Niall says, yeah,
- 16:26Speaker 2: it sounds pretty stupid when you say it like that.
- 16:29Speaker 2: So you think Gabe is actually talking him into telling
- 16:32Speaker 2: the truth, but I doubt it because, um, this is
- 16:35Speaker 2: a show.
- 16:36Speaker 1: And do you think it'll be the day he's supposed
- 16:38Speaker 1: to go to the airport? And he's like, surprise return ticket.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Yeah. Could be.
- 16:44Speaker 2: I think he'll wait until he's been there for two
- 16:46Speaker 2: weeks and she's like driving him back to the airport
- 16:49Speaker 2: to leave.
- 16:50Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying.
- 16:51Speaker 2: Oh, that's what you meant. Yeah, literally.
- 16:53Speaker 1: Yes. Yes.
- 16:54Speaker 2: The last day in Ghana. Actually, I'm staying.
- 16:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 16:58Speaker 2: So Gabe says, I've heard from Niles about Matilda's temper.
- 17:04Speaker 2: And yeah, she's a brat. And I was like, whoa, whoa, Gabe.
- 17:07Speaker 2: You've now called her a brat and a diva. What
- 17:10Speaker 2: has Niles been telling you? And she kind of could
- 17:14Speaker 2: be though. That's totally possible.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Team Matilda all the way.
- 17:19Speaker 2: I love her, but I do think she thinks that
- 17:23Speaker 2: she has a sugar daddy in Niles and he is
- 17:27Speaker 2: had like a part-time job at a disability center or something. Yeah.
- 17:33Speaker 1: And I think he also may have sold himself that way. Yeah. Yeah. Yes.
- 17:38Speaker 2: With his lies.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Yes.
- 17:41Speaker 2: Or masking, let's say it nicer. So Gabe goes, he
- 17:47Speaker 2: laughs in his talking head and he's like, or his
- 17:50Speaker 2: on this moment on the spot, whatever it's called. And
- 17:54Speaker 2: he goes, what's wrong with you? Talk to your wife, please.
- 17:59Speaker 2: So he's even frustrated with Niles. And Niles says, you know,
- 18:04Speaker 2: she did once say that she'd be happy living anywhere
- 18:07Speaker 2: as long as she was with me. So this is
- 18:10Speaker 2: really going to be a test of that. It's like
- 18:13Speaker 2: she said that because you guys were banging and she
- 18:17Speaker 2: was trying to. win you over. That's something you said.
- 18:20Speaker 1: She thought you were going to live in the United States.
- 18:22Speaker 2: She thought you were going to live in the United States. Yeah.
- 18:24Speaker 2: So Gabe says there's going to be a culture shock
- 18:28Speaker 2: also for Niles. The amenities, like just the living conditions there,
- 18:32Speaker 2: he's only visited. And he might be the least prepared
- 18:35Speaker 2: man I've ever seen.
- 18:37Speaker 1: So what could go wrong? Yeah.
- 18:41Speaker 2: Can't wait.
- 18:42Speaker 1: Y'all, we all have those things in our closet that
- 18:44Speaker 1: we just reach for again and again, right? It could
- 18:46Speaker 1: be your favorite jeans. It could be a jacket that
- 18:49Speaker 1: just always looks good with everything or your favorite handbag.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Like these are the pieces that earn a permanent place
- 18:55Speaker 1: in your wardrobe. And that's exactly what Quince does so well.
- 18:59Speaker 1: So whenever I come on here to talk to you
- 19:01Speaker 1: all about Quince, I look at my cart. What did
- 19:03Speaker 1: I just buy? What am I about to buy? Right now,
- 19:06Speaker 1: I have the organic French terry hoodie in white in
- 19:09Speaker 1: my cart. It's perfect for elevating a athleisure look, you know,
- 19:12Speaker 1: when you're trying to be comfy, but also look great.
- 19:15Speaker 1: I also just got the sienna hand-woven tote in cognac
- 19:18Speaker 1: for my upcoming trips. I'm going to New York soon
- 19:21Speaker 1: and Italy, and it's going to look amazing. With all
- 19:24Speaker 1: my travel outfits, it's a perfect piece. And don't tell
- 19:27Speaker 1: my sisters, but I got us some matching soft pajamas
- 19:30Speaker 1: for our trip. They're made of bamboo jersey. They're so comfy.
- 19:34Speaker 1: You know that Quince makes elevated everyday essentials using premium
- 19:38Speaker 1: materials like Mongolia and cashmere. You guys, those sweaters start
- 19:42Speaker 1: at just $ 50. They also use organic cotton and premium
- 19:46Speaker 1: stretch denim. I love the jeans. The designs are timeless.
- 19:50Speaker 1: and made to be worn again and again. And as
- 19:53Speaker 1: the weather gets colder, Quince has everything you need to
- 19:55Speaker 1: round out your wardrobe from warm, responsibly sourced down jackets
- 19:59Speaker 1: to cozy cashmere scarves and gloves. And you know, everything
- 20:03Speaker 1: at Quince is priced 50 to 80% less than similar
- 20:07Speaker 1: brands because they work directly with ethical factories and cut
- 20:11Speaker 1: out the middleman. So you're paying for quality, not that
- 20:13Speaker 1: brand markup. It's luxury without the luxury price. And you know,
- 20:17Speaker 1: I've told you, Quince has everything, guys. They have furniture.
- 20:20Speaker 1: They have jewelry. They have candles. They have gifts. They
- 20:22Speaker 1: have skincare. I mean, really, it's a one-stop shop. You
- 20:25Speaker 1: need a baby gift? That's where you're going. So find
- 20:28Speaker 1: the fall pieces you'll reach for most at Quince. Download

- 20:41Speaker 1: available in Canada and the UK, too. And when quints
- 20:45Speaker 1: ask you where you heard about them, let them know
- 20:47Speaker 1: it was Pink Shade. It is the best way to
- 20:50Speaker 1: support our show. Well, now let's talk about the aforementioned Florence,
- 20:59Speaker 1: Italy guy. So we've got Jesse. Jesse. She's 29 from
- 21:03Speaker 1: the Bronx, and we've got Vittorio, 29 from Florence, Italy. Now,
- 21:10Speaker 1: we open up with Jessie, and she's just doing Bronx shit,
- 21:13Speaker 1: being very Bronx-like, right? She's Jenny from the block, and
- 21:17Speaker 1: she's Jessie from the block.
- 21:18Speaker 2: I should go over there and do it and then
- 21:21Speaker 2: be Kimberly from the Bronx.
- 21:23Speaker 1: You're going to need to wear a leopard print bra
- 21:26Speaker 1: and leggings.
- 21:27Speaker 2: I can do that.
- 21:28Speaker 1: Okay. Jessie tells us the Bronx is the best borough.
- 21:32Speaker 1: And what makes her a Bronx girl is she takes
- 21:34Speaker 1: no shit. And she's a lot to handle. But that
- 21:38Speaker 1: just means there's more to love. She's the three L's. Loud, Latino,
- 21:42Speaker 1: and Leo. I was hoping she was going to say Libra.
- 21:45Speaker 1: But she didn't. She's Dominican American. Her whole family is
- 21:49Speaker 1: from the Dominican Republic. And we get her hero reveal.
- 21:53Speaker 1: And like I said, she's in a leopard two-piece bodysuit sitch.
- 21:57Speaker 2: I love her. I think it's great that she won't
- 22:01Speaker 2: take any shit. Imagine what the series would be like
- 22:04Speaker 2: if we had a bunch of women who knew their
- 22:07Speaker 2: worth and weren't going to take crap. There would be
- 22:09Speaker 2: no Debbie and Mito. There would be no Pow and Russ,
- 22:13Speaker 2: Paula and Thomas.
- 22:16Speaker 1: Somebody posted that the guys from the last season, 90
- 22:20Speaker 1: Day OG, and the girls from the last season, 90
- 22:22Speaker 1: Day OG, that we just got done with last week,
- 22:24Speaker 1: We're doing like TikTok lives. So the first thing is
- 22:27Speaker 1: when the guys all did it, Mito has a picture
- 22:30Speaker 1: of Mito behind him. Yeah. It's hilarious. And then when
- 22:34Speaker 1: the girls did it, they spelled TikTok wrong. I mean,
- 22:38Speaker 1: so it's just like ladies. Okay. Okay. So.
- 22:43Speaker 2: Also, he just made a joke that Debbie is dead
- 22:46Speaker 2: and people are really mad at him.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Okay. Now I saw that and somebody asked him. what
- 22:53Speaker 1: happened to your mamacita? And he said, she's dead. I
- 22:56Speaker 1: think he didn't understand that. He thought what happened to
- 22:58Speaker 1: your mother and his mother is dead. Oh, I don't
- 23:02Speaker 1: think he understood. Mamacita means your wife. He's not from here.
- 23:07Speaker 1: And so I was like, I'm no Mito fan. I'm
- 23:09Speaker 1: not sticking up for Mito, but I don't think he
- 23:11Speaker 1: understood the question. Okay.
- 23:13Speaker 2: That could be.
- 23:15Speaker 1: So he said, what's up with your mamacita? And he's like,
- 23:17Speaker 1: my mother has passed away. How dare, because he said,
- 23:20Speaker 1: how dare you curse on your family or whatever? Like,
- 23:23Speaker 1: He was like, fuck you for asking about my mom.
- 23:26Speaker 1: And that's where I think.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Stop getting my information from Reddit.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Yeah, you do.
- 23:29Speaker 2: Because it's like a horrible game of telephone.
- 23:31Speaker 1: Yeah. I'm telling you, I saw it. I went under
- 23:34Speaker 1: it and said, I'm no fan of this guy. But
- 23:36Speaker 1: I think you are missing that this is his second language.
- 23:39Speaker 1: And you said mamacita. He didn't know what that meant. Okay,
- 23:41Speaker 1: I'm glad you clarified.
- 23:43Speaker 2: Thank you. Apologies to Mito. I never thought I'd say that.
- 23:47Speaker 1: Same. This is the man who did a TikTok with
- 23:50Speaker 1: his own headshot in the background. Okay. So Jesse tells us,
- 23:54Speaker 1: my dream man is not in another borough. He's on
- 23:58Speaker 1: another continent. He is from Florence, Italy. And I said, Kimberly,
- 24:05Speaker 1: the reason I picked this couple for myself is because
- 24:08Speaker 1: I'm hoping to meet them when I'm there.
- 24:09Speaker 2: Okay.
- 24:10Speaker 1: That's fine.
- 24:10Speaker 2: She met Even though I thought you said you picked
- 24:14Speaker 2: them randomly and did not assign people based on who
- 24:18Speaker 2: you liked or who you hated and wanted me to cover.
- 24:23Speaker 1: I did say that. But it's not always 100% true.
- 24:28Speaker 2: So you mask and lie.
- 24:31Speaker 1: I also picked the couple from Paris because I love Paris.
- 24:37Speaker 2: You're just a giant liar.
- 24:39Speaker 1: Sometimes. Okay. So. Jesse met Vittorio. Are we going to
- 24:46Speaker 1: call him Vito? I can't. I'm unclear. Yeah, Vito. She
- 24:50Speaker 1: met him when they were both working for a designer
- 24:53Speaker 1: in Miami during Art Basel Week. Now, I'm going to
- 24:56Speaker 1: get to the bottom of what designer they work for.
- 24:58Speaker 1: Don't worry. I didn't get to do it for this episode,
- 25:01Speaker 1: but I will. During Art Basel Week in Miami and
- 25:05Speaker 1: towards the end of the work assignment, he asked her
- 25:07Speaker 1: on a date. He made her feel very special. And
- 25:10Speaker 1: after a week, they went on this date. And then
- 25:13Speaker 1: a week later, he invited her to go to the
- 25:14Speaker 1: Bahamas for a getaway. I guess he's like, I'm in Miami.
- 25:18Speaker 1: I may as well just hop on down to the Bahamas, right?
- 25:22Speaker 1: He swept her off her feet. We see the pictures
- 25:24Speaker 1: of them. They look like a very attractive, good-looking couple.
- 25:29Speaker 1: She says, he's kind. He's genuine. I've encountered so many
- 25:32Speaker 1: American jerks. Now we've been on vacations together. We've done
- 25:36Speaker 1: lots of video calls. And She doesn't say this right away,
- 25:39Speaker 1: but she has been to his town. She has been
- 25:41Speaker 1: to Florence. She loves it. She loves it. I mean,
- 25:45Speaker 1: who wouldn't? So she says, then she comes up with
- 25:50Speaker 1: a revelation that no one's ever heard of. My friends
- 25:52Speaker 1: and all, we all have gay besties. Like, she invented this.
- 25:58Speaker 1: She says, my friends and I like to say, all
- 26:00Speaker 1: girls have our gay besties. So now we call ourselves
- 26:03Speaker 1: our ladies and our gays. Like scabies.
- 26:06Speaker 2: That sounds like rabies.
- 26:08Speaker 1: Yes, scabies it does. Ladies and gabies. And we're all
- 26:13Speaker 1: like family. So she says, you know, I've been through
- 26:17Speaker 1: some really bad relationships. I always go for the bad guys,
- 26:20Speaker 1: like six foot five, tatted up, dark skin, muscular. But Vito,
- 26:27Speaker 1: he's my height, has curly hair, and likes to wear
- 26:30Speaker 1: double-breasted linen suits. I was like, well, I just think he's...
- 26:33Speaker 1: Does curly hair have to do with it? Nothing. And
- 26:38Speaker 1: double-breasted linen suits. I was like, okay, he likes to
- 26:40Speaker 1: dress nice. So we hate him. I don't know. So
- 26:44Speaker 1: now she goes out dancing and having drinks with her
- 26:47Speaker 1: Gabies and her Scabies. And Gabie Bryan says, can this
- 26:54Speaker 1: man pick you up? He seems fragile. Your legs seem
- 26:58Speaker 1: bigger than his. And she's tiny.
- 27:01Speaker 2: That was so rude.
- 27:05Speaker 1: And then Manny goes, I don't know if he's gay
- 27:07Speaker 1: or European. Now, when we were.
- 27:10Speaker 2: That's fair.
- 27:11Speaker 1: That's fair. When we were in France with the kids,
- 27:16Speaker 1: you know, Anna would go, I don't know if he's
- 27:17Speaker 1: gay or French.
- 27:18Speaker 2: I was like.
- 27:21Speaker 1: So, Rochelle, her friend, says, listen, I know you've got
- 27:24Speaker 1: a certain type, and you've not had sex with this guy,
- 27:28Speaker 1: and you're moving all the way there. Like, what will
- 27:31Speaker 1: you do if it doesn't work? So, she hasn't had
- 27:34Speaker 1: sex with him, which is interesting.
- 27:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:37Speaker 1: She says, he's very physical. He's very sensual.
- 27:40Speaker 2: So, we'll see.
- 27:41Speaker 1: And they're like, how do you even know that? And
- 27:44Speaker 1: Manny goes, look, girl, we're going to tell you the truth.
- 27:46Speaker 1: You've been into Lulu situations in the past, okay? Mm-hmm.
- 27:50Speaker 1: And listen, you look at this girl and you think,
- 27:53Speaker 1: if this girl can get into Delulu situations, the rest
- 27:56Speaker 1: of us have no chance. Like, wow.
- 27:59Speaker 2: And also, I feel like when she was like, I
- 28:01Speaker 2: don't take shit from anybody. I'm from the Bronx. And
- 28:04Speaker 2: it's like, you're actually the same as every girl on
- 28:07Speaker 2: this show.
- 28:08Speaker 1: Every girl.
- 28:09Speaker 2: Just gets walked all over, picks the wrong guy.
- 28:13Speaker 1: All of it.
- 28:15Speaker 2: Bad boy.
- 28:18Speaker 1: She says, he's very sweet. He pays for all our trips.
- 28:21Speaker 1: He gives me gifts. She says, trust me. I have
- 28:25Speaker 1: a good feeling about this one. So then she tells us,
- 28:29Speaker 1: we have had foreplay, but he has not hit a
- 28:32Speaker 1: home run. I've been holding out to make sure he's
- 28:34Speaker 1: with me for the right reasons because in the past,
- 28:37Speaker 1: I've jumped in too quickly. But I don't know. I'm
- 28:40Speaker 1: curious to see if he can keep up with me
- 28:43Speaker 1: and satisfy me.
- 28:44Speaker 2: Okay.
- 28:45Speaker 1: Okay. Now we get the talking head outside.
- 28:52Speaker 2: Well, okay.
- 28:53Speaker 1: She's moving there.
- 28:53Speaker 2: I'm uncomfortable.
- 28:55Speaker 1: I'm uncomfortable.
- 28:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 28:56Speaker 1: Well, we usually are.
- 28:58Speaker 2: I just, I don't want to speak. Yeah. I have
- 29:01Speaker 2: the many thoughts about him.
- 29:03Speaker 1: Do you?
- 29:04Speaker 2: Okay.
- 29:05Speaker 1: So the talking head outside, we get Brian and Manny,
- 29:08Speaker 1: the Gabies. And Manny goes, you know, this guy, he
- 29:12Speaker 1: seems so sweet and so kind. But what if he's
- 29:15Speaker 1: trying to overcompensate for something? And Brian goes, What if
- 29:18Speaker 1: he's love bombing her? And Mandy's like, love bombing. That's
- 29:22Speaker 1: the word I was looking for. They're like, no cookie
- 29:25Speaker 1: is involved here. Like he's not banging her. What is
- 29:28Speaker 1: going on? So they're trying to say, yeah, he may
- 29:31Speaker 1: be a gay bee as well.
- 29:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:35Speaker 1: So now we meet Vito Vittorio.
- 29:38Speaker 2: And what is he getting out of it?
- 29:40Speaker 1: Right.
- 29:40Speaker 2: He's spending money on her. He's not getting sex out
- 29:44Speaker 2: of it. Right. And doesn't want sex out of it.
- 29:47Speaker 2: So is he just want a beard or does she
- 29:51Speaker 2: spend money on him as well? It doesn't seem like that. So.
- 29:56Speaker 1: Yeah. I mean, they both work in the fashion industry together.
- 29:59Speaker 1: So I don't know if they're both getting rich off this,
- 30:02Speaker 1: you know? Right. So now we meet Vittorio. And I
- 30:05Speaker 1: think I forgot to say their ages. Let's see. Let's
- 30:08Speaker 1: go back up. So that she's 29. He's 29. They're
- 30:11Speaker 1: both 29. So totally age appropriate. Okay. Boring.
- 30:16Speaker 2: Boring.
- 30:17Speaker 1: We like it when they're 73 and 33. So now
- 30:18Speaker 1: we meet Vittorio. And he's on his motorcycle. He's talking
- 30:25Speaker 1: about the beautiful symphony of riding his motorcycle. In the
- 30:31Speaker 1: background while he's riding his motorcycle. And he tells us
- 30:35Speaker 1: he's a very passionate person and people either love him
- 30:39Speaker 1: or hate him. No in between.
- 30:42Speaker 2: That's never good.
- 30:43Speaker 1: Not good.
- 30:44Speaker 2: Usually means people hate you.
- 30:46Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. If you have to say that, it means
- 30:48Speaker 1: you've come across a few that don't like you. His
- 30:51Speaker 1: lifestyle is to study hard, work hard, experience hard. And
- 30:56Speaker 1: he says, I have the freedom to go wherever, ask
- 30:59Speaker 1: no permission, my motorcycle, my freedom. I don't feel trapped
- 31:04Speaker 1: to be in the pressure of the adult world. You
- 31:09Speaker 1: don't have it with you, I bet.
- 31:10Speaker 2: No.
- 31:11Speaker 1: But I do. Giant.
- 31:12Speaker 2: Red flag.
- 31:13Speaker 1: Red flag.
- 31:14Speaker 2: The cleaning lady left a towel. It's blue, but pretended red.
- 31:17Speaker 2: It's a blue flag.
- 31:18Speaker 1: Okay. Yeah. He works in the fashion industry. He's a
- 31:23Speaker 1: manager for a fashion brand, but he also has his
- 31:26Speaker 1: own brand and designs clothes. And he goes, you know,
- 31:30Speaker 1: in my line of work, I've been approached by many
- 31:32Speaker 1: gay men thinking I'm gay, but I'm 25% gay, but
- 31:36Speaker 1: that part of me is lesbian. Because I like women.
- 31:40Speaker 1: Get it? He only likes women. So if he's gay,
- 31:44Speaker 1: he's lesbian. It didn't work. It didn't work, Vito. But
- 31:47Speaker 1: we understand. Do we? You like women. That's what he's
- 31:51Speaker 1: telling us. Okay? I don't think there's any stigma for
- 31:56Speaker 1: being gay in the fashion industry in Italy. I think
- 31:59Speaker 1: it would be fine. So I do think he likes women.
- 32:01Speaker 1: I think he just is, you know, more in touch
- 32:04Speaker 1: with his feminine side, I guess.
- 32:06Speaker 2: Okay. Okay.
- 32:07Speaker 1: I mean, that's like, huh.
- 32:10Speaker 2: And I was trying to think, like, does that mean
- 32:12Speaker 2: you're more like non-binary if you feel like you're.
- 32:16Speaker 1: Like a significant? I think he was making that portion.
- 32:21Speaker 2: As a lesbian. I think it was maybe just a joke.
- 32:23Speaker 1: It was a joke that didn't land.
- 32:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:26Speaker 1: Maybe this is why people hate him. So he says,
- 32:32Speaker 1: I met Jesse in Miami. We fell in love. Very
- 32:35Speaker 1: innocent and very genuine relationship. She's beautiful and different. And
- 32:39Speaker 1: I love that New York accent. And I felt something
- 32:44Speaker 1: inside like I never felt before. And I knew it
- 32:46Speaker 1: was right. So he meets with his friend, Irma. They
- 32:51Speaker 1: are looking at fabrics. Irma tells us. Irma is a problem. Oh,
- 32:57Speaker 1: Irma is a shit sir.
- 33:00Speaker 2: Did you see the way Irma was hugging him? She
- 33:03Speaker 2: is feeling him.
- 33:04Speaker 1: Up like this. Kimberly's doing that thing where you turn
- 33:09Speaker 1: around and you pretend like you're making out with somebody. Stop.
- 33:17Speaker 2: She loves him. And then later they do a close-up
- 33:20Speaker 2: of her gripping his arm, like clinging to it as
- 33:24Speaker 2: they're talking. And they even do a close-up because they
- 33:27Speaker 2: want us to know she is in love with him.
- 33:30Speaker 1: Okay.
- 33:30Speaker 2: Wow.
- 33:32Speaker 1: And her talking head, Irma, tells us, I've worked with
- 33:35Speaker 1: Vito and I've modeled for him. I want you to
- 33:37Speaker 1: know that I'm a model. I love doing things with Vito.
- 33:41Speaker 1: He's a fantastic person. And the producer says, has there
- 33:45Speaker 1: ever been a spark between you two? And she goes, hmm. Now,
- 33:49Speaker 1: she's nodding yes. Okay, which is always a tell of it.
- 33:52Speaker 1: She says no as she's nodding yes and says something
- 33:57Speaker 1: could have happened, but we decided just to stay friends.
- 34:00Speaker 1: Something could have happened. Could have.
- 34:04Speaker 2: Did she want to, but he didn't? Or did something happen,
- 34:09Speaker 2: but then they decided it was a mistake?
- 34:12Speaker 1: Yeah. Unsure. So Irma says to him.
- 34:17Speaker 2: You live in- She regrets that night for the rest
- 34:18Speaker 2: of her life.
- 34:19Speaker 1: Yeah. She's like, I should have pushed harder. I should
- 34:21Speaker 1: have taken no for an answer. No, I'm just kidding.
- 34:24Speaker 1: So Irma says to him, you live in Florence with
- 34:27Speaker 1: Italian style, and now you choose a girl from New York?
- 34:32Speaker 1: This is a bad idea. Irma is very judgy about
- 34:35Speaker 1: Jessie being from New York. Very. Yeah.
- 34:37Speaker 2: New York is also a fashion capital.
- 34:40Speaker 1: It sure is. I mean, I don't know if Jessie's
- 34:41Speaker 1: got it, but maybe she does. We haven't seen it yet. Yeah.
- 34:45Speaker 1: She just says, this is a bad idea. I would
- 34:48Speaker 1: prefer you to be with an Italian girl. Like me?
- 34:52Speaker 1: Like me. What? No.
- 34:55Speaker 2: Oh, my God. Did you just suggest that? That we
- 34:57Speaker 2: get together? Oh, my God, Vito. You're so funny.
- 35:01Speaker 1: He says, Italian women are boring. With an American girl
- 35:05Speaker 1: that is Dominican, I could never be bored.
- 35:08Speaker 2: He says that to his Italian friend. Yeah.
- 35:11Speaker 1: Like, yes.
- 35:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:13Speaker 1: And the talking head Irma says, Jessie, she seems superficial
- 35:17Speaker 1: to me on Instagram. She cares too much about her
- 35:20Speaker 1: physical appearance. She wears too much makeup, and it's obvious
- 35:24Speaker 1: she's had plastic surgery.
- 35:26Speaker 2: Okay, Irma. Like, your lips don't take up half your face.
- 35:30Speaker 1: Okay, Irma. And I don't think Jessie's had plastic surgery.
- 35:34Speaker 1: She's probably just had some Botox and whatnot. And also,
- 35:36Speaker 1: she's young and beautiful, you know? Yeah. So I'm talking, hey,
- 35:41Speaker 1: Vito tells us, I've been a playboy in the past.
- 35:43Speaker 1: I would disappear and not answer, just not commit to people,
- 35:46Speaker 1: not answer their calls. I'm not proud of it, but
- 35:49Speaker 1: that's how I behaved in the past. So Irma says
- 35:52Speaker 1: to him, you know, I'm surprised to see you do this.
- 35:55Speaker 1: You've only ever lasted one year with a woman. That's
- 35:58Speaker 1: the longest. And it wasn't me. And you seem to
- 36:02Speaker 1: love your freedom. And he says, yeah, up until now,
- 36:05Speaker 1: I was like that. But with her, Something clicked. You know,
- 36:09Speaker 1: you just know and you can't explain it. When you know,
- 36:11Speaker 1: you know. I can't explain it. And he says, now
- 36:14Speaker 1: I need to step up and I'm going to be
- 36:15Speaker 1: a committed man. Temptation will always be there, but I'm
- 36:19Speaker 1: going to make it work. You're going to meet her
- 36:21Speaker 1: and you're going to see. But there's one thing I
- 36:26Speaker 1: didn't tell Jesse.
- 36:27Speaker 2: A secret.
- 36:30Speaker 1: So she might be shocked. And Irma says, yes, that's
- 36:34Speaker 1: never a good idea.
- 36:35Speaker 2: What is it?
- 36:37Speaker 1: But then he goes, I'm going to do something wonderful
- 36:39Speaker 1: and romantic, and she'll see how wonderful he is, and
- 36:41Speaker 1: I'm just going to bet on that. So what did
- 36:44Speaker 1: he do? What did he do? There's one thing I
- 36:48Speaker 1: did not tell Jesse. He was married before.
- 36:51Speaker 2: Does he live with his parents? Is that why he
- 36:53Speaker 2: has freedom?
- 36:54Speaker 1: He lives in his mom's basement. What is it? She's
- 36:59Speaker 1: been there to visit him. So she knows what his
- 37:02Speaker 1: life is there. He's in a lot of debt. because
- 37:05Speaker 1: of his business.
- 37:07Speaker 2: It's debt.
- 37:07Speaker 1: He lives with his mom. We got to think about
- 37:09Speaker 1: all the tropes on this show. Yeah. He's been married before.
- 37:12Speaker 1: He has a kid.
- 37:13Speaker 2: A little Vito walking around.
- 37:16Speaker 1: Vito Jr. BJ lives with us.
- 37:20Speaker 2: He did hook up with Irma and that's, and he
- 37:23Speaker 2: hasn't told her and he's still like best friends with her.
- 37:26Speaker 1: Yeah. That would be a problem. Jesse from the Bronx
- 37:29Speaker 1: is not going to like that. Let's move on to Andy.
- 37:35Speaker 1: or Annie as her family calls her and Nigel. Now
- 37:39Speaker 1: my notes here to ask you are, why does her
- 37:42Speaker 1: family call her Annie? And also how old is this
- 37:45Speaker 1: Australian asshole? Cause I've got her as 40, but I
- 37:48Speaker 1: don't have his age.
- 37:49Speaker 2: No, they didn't give us his age.
- 37:51Speaker 1: Okay.
- 37:52Speaker 2: He looks 40, but is acting like he's 20.
- 37:55Speaker 1: I'd say he looks 50.
- 37:57Speaker 2: He looks like a, he looks like an unshowered man who, um, yeah.
- 38:05Speaker 1: Who spends a lot of time on his mustache.
- 38:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 38:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 38:09Speaker 2: And a beard and handlebar little mustache. And maybe wants
- 38:15Speaker 2: to be a white guy with dreads at some point.
- 38:17Speaker 1: Yeah. He wants to be like my ex-boyfriend that runs
- 38:20Speaker 1: the yoga cult where he does things like eats air
- 38:23Speaker 1: for three days.
- 38:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 38:26Speaker 1: Yeah. And disowned his child and lives in Bali. But Nigel... Listen...
- 38:35Speaker 1: The most problematic thing for me on this whole segment,
- 38:37Speaker 1: and there's a lot, is Andy's bangs.
- 38:40Speaker 2: I can't... Yeah.
- 38:42Speaker 1: I understand it's a choice that she's making to look alternative,
- 38:45Speaker 1: and that's her look, but I can't stand those bangs.
- 38:50Speaker 2: I hate the micro bangs so much. And if that
- 38:54Speaker 2: psychic had done any of us a favor, it would
- 38:57Speaker 2: have been to tell her to get rid of the
- 38:59Speaker 2: micro bangs and not that she was going to meet
- 39:01Speaker 2: her soulmate soon.
- 39:02Speaker 1: Totally. Yeah.
- 39:04Speaker 2: He would be nigel so yeah okay the psychic really
- 39:09Speaker 2: screwed us all um so andy is 40 she's from
- 39:15Speaker 2: tennessee and nigel's from australia um and i don't have
- 39:19Speaker 2: to do my accent until next week when we meet.
- 39:21Speaker 1: Him so thank God.
- 39:23Speaker 2: I'm looking forward to it. Andy is a redhead lady
- 39:27Speaker 2: that is doing a show where she sings. She does.
- 39:30Speaker 2: She has like one of those washboard things on her. Yeah.
- 39:35Speaker 2: Around her neck.
- 39:36Speaker 1: She's super talented.
- 39:38Speaker 2: Yeah. She is very good. She does like bluegrass music
- 39:42Speaker 2: in a bar and she's singing in this like Western
- 39:45Speaker 2: bar and She tells the audience that a psychic told
- 39:48Speaker 2: her that she would meet her soulmate and he would
- 39:51Speaker 2: be a foreign man that she'd meet at the beach.
- 39:53Speaker 2: And she didn't buy it. And she did end up
- 39:57Speaker 2: meeting an Aussie man named Nigel. And after their second date,
- 40:01Speaker 2: he asked her to meet her on a beach in Mexico.
- 40:05Speaker 2: So she did because she thought, well, then maybe he's
- 40:08Speaker 2: my soulmate, even though it's not exactly what the psychic
- 40:11Speaker 2: told me. Because we already had one date. In person,
- 40:16Speaker 2: before the beach thing. But we're going to count it,
- 40:20Speaker 2: I guess.
- 40:20Speaker 1: She met him in Mexico? Is that right?
- 40:22Speaker 2: So she went to Mexico to meet him for the
- 40:26Speaker 2: second time.
- 40:27Speaker 1: Where did she meet him the first time? In Nashville?
- 40:31Speaker 2: I think... I think in Nashville.
- 40:33Speaker 1: Yeah. Okay.
- 40:35Speaker 2: And after spending like one day with him, he said,
- 40:38Speaker 2: meet me in Mexico on this trip. And she did
- 40:42Speaker 2: it because of a psychic. So she sings a song
- 40:47Speaker 2: that she wrote about him. She says he's very charismatic.
- 40:50Speaker 2: He's a wild man. He's an adventure man. He has
- 40:53Speaker 2: a beard and a handlebar mustache. And she says she's
- 40:56Speaker 2: a little uptight and serious about, doesn't really seem like that,
- 41:01Speaker 2: but she likes more playful people who chill her out. She's, uh,
- 41:05Speaker 2: he's very funny and weird and keeps things exciting for her.
- 41:10Speaker 2: And singing, however, will always be her first love. And
- 41:14Speaker 2: after eight years of hustling in Nashville, her bluegrass band
- 41:18Speaker 2: is finally taking off and finally booking shows. And she
- 41:22Speaker 2: released an album and she is now leaving all of
- 41:25Speaker 2: that to go to Australia and start over.
- 41:27Speaker 1: Mm.
- 41:28Speaker 2: Mm.
- 41:29Speaker 1: Bad.
- 41:30Speaker 2: So the owner of the bar wants her to perform
- 41:33Speaker 2: at this upcoming thing, and she's like, I'm moving to Australia,
- 41:37Speaker 2: throwing my whole career away. And she's like, I have
- 41:41Speaker 2: to go all in and move to Australia to see
- 41:44Speaker 2: if he's my soulmate. Again, the psychic screwed the pooch here.
- 41:49Speaker 2: Should have said, get rid of those micro bangs and
- 41:52Speaker 2: that weird rat tail mullet thing going on in the back.
- 41:57Speaker 2: I know you're trying to be edgy. So she goes
- 42:00Speaker 2: to a family barbecue. Her sisters say she is artistic
- 42:03Speaker 2: and dramatic. And her parents called her Annoying Annie growing
- 42:08Speaker 2: up because she always wanted attention. So these parents maybe
- 42:12Speaker 2: hate her as much as Katie's parents hate her. And
- 42:16Speaker 2: also they keep calling her Annie. So who knows? Her
- 42:19Speaker 2: name must be Andrea or something.
- 42:22Speaker 1: I don't know. I think her name is Annie and
- 42:25Speaker 1: she decided it sounded better to be Andy Jane for
- 42:28Speaker 1: like a stage name. Okay.
- 42:32Speaker 2: Okay. Her mom asks if Nigel cooks and Andy says,
- 42:38Speaker 2: we'll find out. I barely know the man. We ate
- 42:42Speaker 2: camping food once. So, and the mom's like, okay, okay.
- 42:49Speaker 2: So she asks, about this timeshare vacation. And Andy says, well,
- 42:54Speaker 2: Nigel said he wouldn't pay for it. So I'm paying
- 42:56Speaker 2: for it. And he hasn't said if he's paying me back.
- 43:01Speaker 2: So apparently when they went on this trip to Mexico
- 43:05Speaker 2: for their second date, they got roped into a timeshare.
- 43:10Speaker 1: I mean, who could have seen these two suckers coming?
- 43:13Speaker 2: I mean, geez, a traveling couple who don't even live
- 43:17Speaker 2: on the same continent. bought a timeshare.
- 43:21Speaker 1: Together you don't have to buy it you could just
- 43:23Speaker 1: sit through the seminar and then you're going to get
- 43:25Speaker 1: a free dinner and one free night you don't have
- 43:27Speaker 1: to buy the timeshare you could say no.
- 43:29Speaker 2: They were doing that and they were doing it for
- 43:32Speaker 2: all the freebies and then nigel said we should get
- 43:37Speaker 2: one and it is a 10-year commitment and she was
- 43:42Speaker 2: like are you sure we just started dating. This is
- 43:47Speaker 2: our second date. We live on different continents. Is it
- 43:51Speaker 2: wise to purchase a timeshare together? And also, I don't
- 43:55Speaker 2: think you have a job, Nigel. I'm just going to
- 43:58Speaker 2: say it. Yeah, I don't think so. So should we
- 44:02Speaker 2: do this? And he's like, yeah, there's water slides involved,
- 44:06Speaker 2: which I didn't know if that was a metaphor or
- 44:09Speaker 2: if the resort had a water slide. And he just
- 44:11Speaker 2: meant If there are water slides, I'll pay whatever to
- 44:16Speaker 2: go on a water slide.
- 44:17Speaker 1: We could go to, I wonder if they were at
- 44:20Speaker 1: Atlantis in the Bahamas. And he's like, or that's what like,
- 44:26Speaker 1: he's like, we could go to Atlantis in the Bahamas
- 44:27Speaker 1: where they have that water slide where you can go
- 44:29Speaker 1: through the sharks and boom, I'm sold.
- 44:33Speaker 2: Don't they have one of those in Vegas too?
- 44:35Speaker 1: Probably. Yes. He wants to go to Vegas too, probably. Yeah.
- 44:39Speaker 2: So she was not sure, but she got swept up
- 44:44Speaker 2: in the romanticism of him being all excited about it
- 44:47Speaker 2: because she's a sucker. And after a few payments, he
- 44:53Speaker 2: wanted to cancel it, but it was too late to
- 44:56Speaker 2: cancel it. And it was all on her credit card.
- 44:59Speaker 2: So she's been paying for it and he has not
- 45:02Speaker 2: been paying for her back. And so she's in for
- 45:06Speaker 2: like 10 grand. And the mom says she can't believe it.
- 45:10Speaker 2: And one of the sisters is like, yeah, Andy told
- 45:13Speaker 2: me not to tell you. And the mom's like, why?
- 45:16Speaker 2: And the sister's like, because it's horrible and dumb and
- 45:19Speaker 2: embarrassing and stupid. And everyone, just the whole family is
- 45:24Speaker 2: super unimpressed with Nigel and thinks she's an idiot. So
- 45:29Speaker 2: mom is like, I was kind of hoping they'd make it,
- 45:32Speaker 2: but not anymore. The timeshare thing. Now I'm over it.
- 45:36Speaker 2: And she says she is a good person and she
- 45:40Speaker 2: is a bum magnet. I hate to say it, but
- 45:45Speaker 2: she sees the good in everyone. They take advantage of
- 45:48Speaker 2: her because she assumes that they're good, too, and they
- 45:50Speaker 2: are not good. And so they use her. And so
- 45:54Speaker 2: they all sit down for some barbecue and some grilling.
- 45:57Speaker 1: Get it? Grilling. Yeah, she's going to get grilled. Yeah,
- 46:02Speaker 1: I get it.
- 46:03Speaker 2: Intervention, basically. It's a grillervention. And so their mom says,
- 46:08Speaker 2: you know, let's talk about this timeshare. I'm really upset
- 46:12Speaker 2: that he's not paying it off. And Andy says, yeah,
- 46:14Speaker 2: I wanted to put it on both of our credit cards,
- 46:17Speaker 2: but he didn't have a credit card that worked in Mexico.
- 46:20Speaker 2: And the mom says, that's convenient. And mom says, you've
- 46:24Speaker 2: already given so much and it's just the beginning of
- 46:27Speaker 2: the relationship and you're already giving more than he is.
- 46:30Speaker 2: And you're a giver and you tend to find takers.
- 46:35Speaker 2: And the sisters say that Andy is spontaneous and fun.
- 46:38Speaker 2: But when the monotony of everyday life comes, she's either
- 46:42Speaker 2: going to realize this is exactly what she's ever wanted
- 46:45Speaker 2: or it'll be a mistake. That's every choice in life.
- 46:51Speaker 2: But it is a mistake. Yeah. So they say you
- 46:55Speaker 2: just like the dopamine rush of this like beginning part.
- 46:58Speaker 2: And Andy said, well, that's why this relationship is perfect
- 47:01Speaker 2: for me because we are non monogamous. And the mom goes,
- 47:06Speaker 2: Oh God.
- 47:08Speaker 1: Oh God.
- 47:09Speaker 2: What does that mean? And then I don't want to
- 47:12Speaker 2: hear this. And the dad goes, you know what it means?
- 47:17Speaker 2: The dad barely speaks. He barely speaks, but he's like,
- 47:20Speaker 2: you know what it means? Betsy. She's like, I know
- 47:24Speaker 2: what it means. I just don't want to hear it.
- 47:27Speaker 2: So surprise, surprise. This was all Nigel's idea to be
- 47:32Speaker 2: non monogamous. He says he doesn't feel like a monogamous person.
- 47:37Speaker 2: And he also doesn't feel like showering. If the pictures
- 47:40Speaker 2: we've seen are any indication. And she didn't. It wasn't
- 47:45Speaker 2: really into that has never done non monogamy before, but
- 47:49Speaker 2: she agreed because they were long distance monogamy. And she
- 47:53Speaker 2: thinks once she gets there, they'll be monogamous.
- 47:56Speaker 1: Of course. Sure.
- 47:58Speaker 2: But they haven't discussed it.
- 48:01Speaker 1: No.
- 48:01Speaker 2: She just assumes that it's understood that if I'm moving
- 48:07Speaker 2: all the way to Australia, it should be obvious that
- 48:10Speaker 2: we'll be monogamous. And the sister is like rolling her
- 48:14Speaker 2: eyes out of her head. You should discuss that with him.
- 48:21Speaker 2: idiot yeah and um you've dated some doozies and nothing
- 48:26Speaker 2: i've learned today has made me think this isn't another
- 48:29Speaker 2: doozy yeah and she tells us she's had bad relationships
- 48:34Speaker 2: but nigel is so sweet he's he's such a great
- 48:37Speaker 2: guy and the sister says i love you but your
- 48:40Speaker 2: track record sucks they hate her they're sick of dealing
- 48:43Speaker 2: with this and now they have to do it on
- 48:45Speaker 2: tv they're.
- 48:46Speaker 1: Happy she's leaving yeah.
- 48:48Speaker 2: Yeah Yeah, at least she's leaving and then I don't
- 48:51Speaker 2: have to hear about it. The long distance calls, she's
- 48:53Speaker 2: not going to have a cell phone plan because she'll
- 48:56Speaker 2: break her phone or something by accident. So Andy says,
- 49:00Speaker 2: this is my chance to have a soulmate because that
- 49:03Speaker 2: psychic told me, but she did tell me I should
- 49:05Speaker 2: keep the sphinx. And so we're all great. We're all
- 49:08Speaker 2: happy about that. And mom says, well, you deserve to
- 49:12Speaker 2: find someone who loves you like dad loves me. And
- 49:15Speaker 2: dad is just sitting there like, I'm awake. I'm involved
- 49:20Speaker 2: in this conversation. And Andy says, I believe in Nigel.
- 49:25Speaker 2: And they're all crying. She's crying for unknown reasons. They're
- 49:31Speaker 2: crying because she's an idiot. And how did you raise
- 49:34Speaker 2: this idiot? Now we're sending this idiot off to another continent.
- 49:39Speaker 2: She's going to be an idiot on TV. She's going
- 49:41Speaker 2: to lose all of her money. She didn't really have
- 49:44Speaker 2: that much money to begin with. She's probably going to
- 49:46Speaker 2: ask us for money. This is like how Elise's parents feel.
- 49:49Speaker 1: Except they have a lot of money.
- 49:53Speaker 2: Except they have plenty of money. So she says, I
- 49:57Speaker 2: do have some worries. And the dad says, listen to
- 50:00Speaker 2: those worries. And I was like, good for you, dad.
- 50:03Speaker 2: And the sister says, listen to those red flags that
- 50:07Speaker 2: you're spotting.
- 50:11Speaker 1: I know.
- 50:12Speaker 2: So another day she is packing up to leave. She
- 50:15Speaker 2: packs a worry stone. She's going to need it. And
- 50:19Speaker 2: she says, I'm not feeling good about this trip. A
- 50:21Speaker 2: couple of weeks ago, Nigel told me that he was
- 50:24Speaker 2: camping with a lover at a music festival and So
- 50:29Speaker 2: we were just going to be really smelly and camping
- 50:32Speaker 2: and banging. Yeah. And people around us were going to
- 50:36Speaker 2: be super high. It's just going to be amazing. And
- 50:40Speaker 2: this is my nightmare. A music festival camping with people
- 50:44Speaker 2: who call somebody lover. So... He just everything I hate.
- 50:52Speaker 2: So he had bought this woman a ticket to the
- 50:56Speaker 2: music festival and slash bang camping trip. And Andy was like,
- 51:01Speaker 2: this seems like a girlfriend thing. And there was not
- 51:05Speaker 2: supposed to be feelings involved in this non monogamy. He's
- 51:08Speaker 2: my priority. I want to be his priority. So she
- 51:11Speaker 2: told him how he felt, how she felt. And he
- 51:14Speaker 2: canceled his trip. But afterwards he, She was talking to him.
- 51:20Speaker 2: And it's unsure if this is the weekend of the
- 51:22Speaker 2: music festival or a different weekend. But she was like,
- 51:26Speaker 2: how did the weekend go? And he was telling her
- 51:28Speaker 2: all the stuff he had done that weekend. And one
- 51:30Speaker 2: of the nights he had spent with a lover. And
- 51:34Speaker 2: she's like, what? And he said, oh, I had copy
- 51:39Speaker 2: and pasted that response to you from a text that
- 51:44Speaker 2: I was sending to someone else about my weekend. So
- 51:48Speaker 2: she was like, you couldn't be bothered to text me
- 51:51Speaker 2: a fresh text. I'm your girlfriend.
- 51:54Speaker 1: Also, why are you telling everyone you spent the night
- 51:57Speaker 1: with a lover? And I've ignored a lot of red
- 52:01Speaker 1: flags in my life and I need to listen to
- 52:03Speaker 1: my intuition now.
- 52:05Speaker 2: So then she's writing a song about him and she's like,
- 52:09Speaker 2: I've realized that that girl that he spent the night
- 52:12Speaker 2: with was the girl that he was going to camp with.
- 52:17Speaker 2: So after she told him she didn't like it, he
- 52:20Speaker 2: did it anyways, whether it was that weekend or a
- 52:23Speaker 2: different weekend, he still was sleeping with this woman, maybe
- 52:27Speaker 2: just not at the music festival. And he's like, she's like,
- 52:32Speaker 2: that sounds like they're in a relationship and he might
- 52:34Speaker 2: have feelings for her. And what if I get there
- 52:37Speaker 2: and he's in love with someone else? And so she's like,
- 52:41Speaker 2: I'm leaving my whole life to take a chance on love,
- 52:44Speaker 2: but What if I'm so convinced that he's my soulmate.
- 52:47Speaker 1: Because of a psychic?
- 52:51Speaker 2: And I'm ignoring all of these red flags. And I
- 52:54Speaker 2: have made a lot of bad decisions with relationships, and
- 52:57Speaker 2: I might be repeating my past mistakes. My flight is
- 53:00Speaker 2: in four hours, and I don't know if I should
- 53:03Speaker 2: get on the plane.
- 53:04Speaker 1: I'm going to tell you something. If your flight from
- 53:07Speaker 1: Nashville to Australia is in four hours, your ass better
- 53:10Speaker 1: be at the airport. You should already be on the
- 53:12Speaker 1: plane to the airport, girl. You should be headed to
- 53:15Speaker 1: the airport. I'm not writing it. What are you writing
- 53:17Speaker 1: a song on the piano for?
- 53:18Speaker 2: Good grief.
- 53:19Speaker 1: You don't have time. Just be there three hours ahead
- 53:22Speaker 1: for an international flight.
- 53:23Speaker 2: Jeez.
- 53:25Speaker 1: I never do that, but still, she should.
- 53:27Speaker 2: Maybe she won't make the flight and then this whole
- 53:30Speaker 2: crisis will be averted. She'll have more time to think
- 53:32Speaker 2: about it.
- 53:33Speaker 1: Yeah. I don't know all the clips that we've seen
- 53:36Speaker 1: of them together. I mean, I guess.
- 53:38Speaker 2: I'm sure she goes.
- 53:39Speaker 1: I'm sure she goes.
- 53:40Speaker 2: She's already on this show. The only time people don't go,
- 53:44Speaker 2: we had Ty Ray, who found out she was not real.
- 53:53Speaker 1: Right.
- 53:54Speaker 2: So he could not go.
- 53:55Speaker 1: He had already been, and she didn't come and see him. Remember? Right. Yeah. Right.
- 54:01Speaker 2: Who else? Caesar did go, but that person, she didn't
- 54:04Speaker 2: show up.
- 54:06Speaker 1: Right.
- 54:07Speaker 2: Was there anybody else who ever was just like, I'm
- 54:10Speaker 2: just not going? We got into a huge fight. I
- 54:12Speaker 2: feel like there was one other couple and then they
- 54:15Speaker 2: were just not on the show anymore.
- 54:17Speaker 1: Yeah, that does happen, but I don't think it's going
- 54:18Speaker 1: to happen here because they've really promoted her especially. And
- 54:22Speaker 1: I went and looked her up because I was like, oh,
- 54:24Speaker 1: you know, her music is good. And sort of like
- 54:26Speaker 1: maybe she has a huge following and I don't even,
- 54:28Speaker 1: but no, I mean, it's a regular, I mean, it's
- 54:30Speaker 1: less Instagram followers than me, which, you know, it's kind
- 54:33Speaker 1: of hard to do. Please follow me on Instagram at PinkShadePod.
- 54:36Speaker 2: Maybe there is like a country music bluegrass pocket. Maybe
- 54:41Speaker 2: Australian loves country music.
- 54:43Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, she's super talented. So she could, you know,
- 54:45Speaker 1: just go and do pickup shows at bars and maybe
- 54:48Speaker 1: get some gigs. But she seemed to have like a
- 54:50Speaker 1: good rapport with her band and stuff.
- 54:53Speaker 2: And her family. I mean, they hate her, but I mean,
- 54:56Speaker 2: she needs their support.
- 54:58Speaker 1: They're concerned about her hair. Yeah. Okay, let's move on to...
- 55:04Speaker 1: Allie and Jonathan slash John. Everything that says Jonathan, but
- 55:08Speaker 1: they only call him John, so I'm calling him John.
- 55:12Speaker 1: Allie is 28 from Singapore, and John is 49 from Connecticut.
- 55:18Speaker 2: Yep.
- 55:18Speaker 1: All right. Do that math. Yep. So it's almost 50
- 55:23Speaker 1: and almost 29. Yeah. So that would be... 20... 21 years?
- 55:26Speaker 1: 21 years. 20, 21 years. Yeah. All right. We start
- 55:32Speaker 1: at a childbirth class. Her name is Alimna.
- 55:37Speaker 2: A-L-I-M-N-A.
- 55:40Speaker 1: But everybody calls her Allie. We're going with Allie. And
- 55:44Speaker 1: she burps and says her bra is tired. She's pregnant. LOL.
- 55:48Speaker 1: She's cute. She's funny. She's so cute. I pretty quickly
- 55:54Speaker 1: am going to label her as a whiner. She does
- 55:56Speaker 1: whine a lot.
- 55:58Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. She does... Go a little high.
- 56:01Speaker 1: Yeah. But she's got a lot to whine about, you know.
- 56:04Speaker 2: But she is. She's adorable. Yeah.
- 56:07Speaker 1: Very cute. So she gets up during this childbirth class
- 56:13Speaker 1: to having them read an affirmation at the end. Like
- 56:16Speaker 1: every day I'm pregnant is a day closer to meeting
- 56:19Speaker 1: my baby or something. So she gets up to read
- 56:21Speaker 1: the affirmation. I can.
- 56:24Speaker 2: Picture you in one of these classes being like, what
- 56:27Speaker 2: the fuck? This is bullshit.
- 56:29Speaker 1: Like, duh. Um, so yeah, I'm already, there's a, there's
- 56:33Speaker 1: a phrase for it. You're already pregnant.
- 56:34Speaker 2: It's a phrase.
- 56:35Speaker 1: Yeah. Um, so, so her friend Megan goes, the affirmation
- 56:40Speaker 1: she told me is that after she gives birth, she
- 56:42Speaker 1: can be a MILF.
- 56:43Speaker 2: I mean, that's a legitimate, that is. That's an affirmation. Yeah.
- 56:48Speaker 2: I mean, because no one in an excruciating amount of
- 56:50Speaker 2: pain wants to be like, every breath I take is.
- 56:54Speaker 1: One step closer to meeting my child. No. You're like,
- 56:58Speaker 1: I'm miserable. Fuck off.
- 57:00Speaker 2: Fuck it. I just want this to be over.
- 57:02Speaker 1: In her talking head, she tells us she's six months pregnant.
- 57:06Speaker 1: A couple of years ago, she was having the best time.
- 57:08Speaker 1: She was partying every night. And we see her up
- 57:11Speaker 1: at the club, and she is partying. She seems to
- 57:14Speaker 1: be drinking and making out with girls. She's partying.
- 57:19Speaker 2: She's like Kara.
- 57:22Speaker 1: Then she met a hot American. Him?
- 57:27Speaker 2: Footage not.
- 57:29Speaker 1: Where is he? Is it John? Is that who it is?
- 57:32Speaker 2: Was the bar like super dark?
- 57:37Speaker 1: There is a dog barking in my house. And again,
- 57:39Speaker 1: there are other adults here that could be taking care
- 57:41Speaker 1: of that. And they're not. So sorry. So she met
- 57:47Speaker 1: a hot American at a bar. It was the best
- 57:49Speaker 1: sex of her life. So it was a couple of
- 57:51Speaker 1: years ago. So she was only 26. So maybe she
- 57:55Speaker 1: hadn't had a lot of experience. Unclear. But She says
- 57:58Speaker 1: he was very tall and handsome and had tall socks
- 58:02Speaker 1: and gave daddy vibes. I don't know what the socks
- 58:05Speaker 1: have to do with it, but all right.
- 58:07Speaker 2: He does give daddy vibes.
- 58:09Speaker 1: Literally, like a father. So we meet John slash Jonathan,
- 58:14Speaker 1: who is appearing to be welding. He introduces himself as John.
- 58:19Speaker 1: He says he designs and manufactures sonar equipment. He's a
- 58:25Speaker 1: nerdy mad scientist who just landed a hot girlfriend. All right.
- 58:29Speaker 1: He admits it.
- 58:30Speaker 2: And the way they introduce him is they're playing like
- 58:33Speaker 2: rock music. And then when it goes onto his face,
- 58:35Speaker 2: the music like stops. They're like, they.
- 58:40Speaker 1: Want you to understand.
- 58:42Speaker 2: The guy from Love After Lockup who was in the band, Chaz.
- 58:47Speaker 1: Chaz. Yeah, Chaz.
- 58:50Speaker 2: And you'd hear like, banging rock music or, like, metal,
- 58:53Speaker 2: and then it would be like, hi, I'm Jess. I'm
- 58:57Speaker 2: the dorkiest guy you've ever seen.
- 58:59Speaker 1: First of all, these AI pictures are insane that they're
- 59:02Speaker 1: giving us. Yeah. She's cuter than this, and he looks
- 59:07Speaker 1: cross-eyed in this picture. Mm-hmm. Okay. Anyway, that's them. Okay.
- 59:12Speaker 1: So if you're watching a video, what happened?
- 59:15Speaker 2: What happened?
- 59:16Speaker 1: Do you see that I have him on the stage
- 59:18Speaker 1: and I removed him from the stage? But, okay.
- 59:22Speaker 2: There we go.
- 59:23Speaker 1: I don't know what's going on with our... Okay. I
- 59:25Speaker 1: fixed it.
- 59:26Speaker 2: Okay.
- 59:26Speaker 1: Sorry, guys, if you're watching on video.
- 59:28Speaker 2: So.
- 59:31Speaker 1: Okay, so he designs a man, sonar equipment. He's a
- 59:34Speaker 1: nerdy mad scientist who landed a hot girlfriend. They met
- 59:38Speaker 1: at a bar in Malaysia. He was there for work.
- 59:41Speaker 1: She must have been there on vacay. And he said
- 59:44Speaker 1: he didn't think he had a shot with this gorgeous
- 59:47Speaker 1: young woman. Why would she want an old guy like him?
- 59:51Speaker 1: But she asked him on a date. And she laughs.
- 59:55Speaker 1: It's like, I'm not stupid. A girl's got to eat.
- 59:57Speaker 1: I needed a free meal. So I was like, all right. Okay, good.
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: Also, his shaking in his weird hip shaking snake moves
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: in his hero shot.
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: It's not great. It's not great.
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: It did something to her, though.
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: Those moves into club really did a lot to her.
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: We need to figure out what her relationship is with
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: her father.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll find out.
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: Because that's where the whole thing comes in.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: So we were talking ahead. She says, John is funny.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: He always makes dad jokes. You know, he has a
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: lot of responsibilities in the United States. He has two
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: sons and runs a business with his father. So we've
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: been long stretches not seeing each other. It's been really hard.
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: And there's been many times I wanted to break up.
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: But then I asked, you know, for a sign. What
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: should I do? And found out I was pregnant. So
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: that was her sign.
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: That's a sign, unlike Anne's freaking psychic. True.
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: A pregnancy is a real sign. So in her talking head,
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: in the talking head, he says, John says, everything changed
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: when we found out she was pregnant. Her visa to
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: move to the United States got denied. Why? We always
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: want to know why.
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: Why?
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: Because they've been together several times. It wasn't like they'd
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: only met on the phone or. She's pregnant, so they, yeah.
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: Is it just because of lockdowns on immigrants? I don't know.
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: But I don't know what America's relations with Singapore are like.
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: Later on, she says she's been to visit him in Connecticut. So,
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: I mean, she's able to travel. Interesting. Someone has a secret.
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: Secret.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: Her visa to move got denied, so he is moving
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: there to Singapore to be with her and the baby.
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: So the birth coach, now we're back to this, the
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: birth coach asked her, what is your birth plan? And
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: she goes, oh, it's complicated because the father lives in
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: the US right now. That's why I've got Megan here
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: to help me with the classes. And also my parents
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: don't know I'm pregnant. And the people in the class
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: are looking around. She says, I'm Muslim. And then we
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: see a Muslim woman in the class looking at her like, bitch, what? What?
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: Dead. Yeah. Yeah. She's like, Oh my God. So she
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: says only 3% of births in Singapore are to unmarried women.
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: And she says as a Muslim and in the Indian culture,
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: you're not even supposed to have premarital sex. So it's
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: a double disgrace, the Muslim and she's Indian culture as well.
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: And she says, I'm obviously not a traditionally Indian Muslim girl,
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: but I'm still afraid to tell my parents. So, meanwhile,
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: this other couple is like, sinner.
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: Scandalous.
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: Stay away from us.
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: So, the birth coach says, who's very supportive, she says,
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: it could be scary to walk on a path of
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: the unknown, but having a baby is a good thing.
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: It's a happy thing. She's very pro-baby, this birth coach.
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: She's like, it doesn't matter. You're going to have the
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: baby at the end. Who cares?
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: So the other couple does a talking head and they're like,
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: my parents would definitely kill me, like literally kill me,
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: like not a joke. That would be murdered if I
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: had a kid before marriage. Yeah.
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: Serious. Yeah.
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: Like bad.
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: So Allie talks with Megan and says, I'm really grateful
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: for you being here with me, but it's so hard
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: to be pregnant without my partner here. I was looking
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: forward to doing these classes with him by my side,
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: but I feel very lonely and she cries. And then
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: her talking head, she goes, I don't know what I'm
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: going to do if my family rejects John. So has
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: the family never met him? And it's going to be like,
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: not only am I pregnant, but also here's the guy
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: and he's American and he moved here? No, because later
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: he says that he didn't meet his dad and asked
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: for permission.
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: Or unless it was over video. He's been there, but
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: so why did they... They could just live there without
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: his support unless they're financially dependent on his parents. But
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: if he can somehow work remotely for his company in
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: the U.S. and he makes maybe good money.
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: Seems like it. Yeah.
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: And does she have a job?
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: I don't know. So now we open with this weird,
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: awkward dancing in this hero shot. He's in Connecticut. She calls.
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: They're FaceTiming. He's doing the dishes. And he goes, yeah, yeah,
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: my friend left me to do the dishes. She's like,
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: what friend? He says, you know. So talking ahead, he says,
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: I live at home with my dad, my youngest son,
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: and my ex-wife. So I'm assuming this is his family
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: home that he raised his children in with his ex-wife
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: and the dad moved in because he's elderly probably. Yeah.
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: And he says, we were married. My ex-wife and I
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: were married for 25 years. Wow.
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: That's almost as old as she is.
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: That's right. Yeah, I have been married for 26 years.
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: I mean, this would be like my husband and I
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: getting divorced and him starting to date a 28-year-old that
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: lives in Singapore. I'd be like, what the fuck?
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: And you two still live together.
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: Yeah, right. I'm not leaving this house. So he says,
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: we just grew apart. We split two years ago. She's
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: just getting on her feet. I don't want to kick
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: her to the curb. I do care about her. She
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: is the mother of my children. So it seems very amicable.
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: They just grew apart. They decided to split. It doesn't
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: seem like there's anything bad there. We'll find out. But
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: in the talking head, she says, how the fuck did
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: I get myself in this situation? She says, in the
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: five times I had this. So she has been to
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: the U.S. to visit him five times and they still
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: won't give her a visa. Jeez. What's going on? In
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: the five times I've visited John, his ex-wife was in
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: the next room across from the bathroom. We had to
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: be quiet during sex, so awkward. So the ex-wife has
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: met her, is on board. It all seems amicable right now.
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: And so why does he have to evict the ex-wife
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: if he's moving to Singapore?
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: Yeah, who cares? Who cares? So she says, you said
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: you would evict her. And he goes, I know it's
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: not great, babe, but I'm dealing with the mother of
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: my children here. But I did do one thing I
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: said I would do. I told Ryan, his son, about
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: me moving there. And he's excited about it. He's on board.
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: We see the conversation between him and his son, who's like, Dad,
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: I understand right now. You need to be there with her.
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: You need to be there with the baby. He's like,
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: I get it.
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: He was very mature. The kid was like, you need to...
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: Be with your pregnant lady. Like, I know we're your kids,
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: but we're adults now. And he needs you more than
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: we do. Yeah. Wow. So she says, so.
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: How are the job applications going? And he goes, I'm
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: still looking. But the good news is, is here we
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: have a lot of orders. So I'm going to have
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: a good amount of money on hand when I get there.
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: And she goes, how much? And he says, well, not
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: as much as I should. And she's like, yeah. And
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: he goes, don't stress about stuff like I'm coming. Things
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: will be good. I'm going to take care of you.
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: Don't worry about it. So he tells us having my
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: sons be supportive meant the world to me. It's going
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: to be really hard moving away from my kids. We're
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: all very close. And for 22 years, like these kids
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: have been my world. Allie puts a lot of pressure
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: on me, like get the X out of the house,
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: save a money, save the money, get a job. But
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: I'm moving 10,000 miles away from my kids and my business.
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: I have to learn to support two households and move
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: to a foreign city and tell her very religious family
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: about the baby at a wedlock. I'm doing the best
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: I can right now.
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: Well, I'm sorry she puts a lot of pressure on you,
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: but you shouldn't have shot up the club. Exactly.
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: The 30 years younger Muslim club. Yeah, I mean, there's
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: ways to not get people pregnant. We discuss it every
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: season on this show. But now he's on his way
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: to Singapore. It's unclear. Is he on this trip going
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: there to move there? Is he going to get there
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: to get established? It doesn't seem like he's moving on
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: this trip, but I guess he is. I know.
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: No one seems to have a lot of luggage.
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: No luggage.
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: But the whole premise of the show is moving there.
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: Right, right. So Singapore is 12 hours ahead of Connecticut.
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: Just wanted to let you know. I looked that up.
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: So it took him 24 hours to get there. He says,
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: you know, these flights, they will wear you out, but
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: it's always worth it when I see her. And he
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: arrives and she's jumping around and she hugs him. And
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: this is why I wrote, did he bring a backpack
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: and one suitcase to move there? Yeah. It doesn't make sense.
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: So it only ever made sense when like Paul and
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: Karini did it or when we saw Ari and Binyam
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: and she, you know what I mean? Like we've seen
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: people with 20 suitcases and you're like, this makes sense.
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: But one suitcase in a backpack does not make sense.
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: I don't know who you just said, cause you cut out.
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: But Ari and Benyam, Ariella. Yeah. Ari and Benyam.
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: I think not. She had nine, I think. Yes. Or
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: something because the episode was called my whole life is
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: in these nine suitcases or something like that. Or 13.
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: I don't know. Is it like a lot of suitcases?
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: Made sense. Yes.
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: Made sense. Maybe the, some people are shipping their things.
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: Right. Remember, what's his name?
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: Josh. His stuff got stuck at customs in the last season,
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: although that might have just been a lie for the show. Right.
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: Who was the weirdo that went to the Philippines who
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: was obsessed with the ladyboys? Lauren.
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: Oh, my God, Lauren.
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: He was shipping his stuff, too.
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: Yeah. God bless. Okay. Okay.
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: Um so did he have stuff because he was houseless
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: it was a big brown box couches it's a big
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: brown box of his stuff um so he arrives and
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: she's like let me sniff your armpit yeah so she
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: goes let me sniff your armpit she gets right in
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: there um I had to think about it, and I
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: had to ask our group chat who else sniffed armpits
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: on this show, and Amy Archer came through with Tanya
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: and Sinjin. Yep. I'd forgotten about that. I was like,
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: somebody did it. Mm-hmm.
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: Yeah. The pheromones.
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: Then we see the jewel, which I guess is this
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: thing in Singapore, but it's this airport waterfall. It's a
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: huge waterfall in the middle of the airport.
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: Yeah, this airport is legendary. I've seen it on YouTube.
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: videos with my YouTube travel vlogger people. And it's like
- 1:11:10Speaker 2: considered one of the most beautiful airports in the world.
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: There's like a whole park, like a greenhouse. Like I
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: don't even, it's like a jungle inside the airport. Wow. Incredible.
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: Wow. This is where I noticed she's a little whiny. Okay.
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: But again, six months pregnant, he's just coming there for
- 1:11:30Speaker 2: the first time, you know? And yeah. Yeah.
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: So in the talking head in the airport, he says,
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: right now, I'm just trying to enjoy this moment. We
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: have a big stack of obstacles ahead of us. I
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: have to get a job. I've got to get to
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: know a brand new city. And we have to tell
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: her parents about the baby. And then we get a
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: hero shot together. He kisses her belly. Unclear where her
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: parents live that they haven't seen her in six months
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: to see this. Or if they just FaceTime.
- 1:11:58Speaker 2: That's a good question, too. Yeah. How do they not know?
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: That's a really good question.
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: Hmm. So in the car, she's like, I'm hungry. And
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: then she's like, you're so handsome. He's like stroking his jaw.
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: I was like, weird. He says, you know, the best
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: thing about coming to Asia, I love all the food.
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: And she's like, I thought you would say it was me.
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: And he says, well, maybe what we should do is
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: go on like eating all the pork. Like I should
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: eat all the pork before the conversion. So the talking head,
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: he says, when he asked Ali's parents to marry her,
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: there was one stipulation that he convert to Islam. And
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: he goes, you know, I was raised by hippies and scientists.
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: So religion is not really my thing, but it's important
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: to our families. So he jokes, maybe I should start
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: studying about the five pillars. And she goes, yeah. And
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: he makes a fart diarrhea joke. And she's like, okay,
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: that's offensive.
- 1:13:02Speaker 2: Yeah, he makes a sharding joke.
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: And then he's like, no, she goes, seriously, you're offending
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: my religion.
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: Is she really offended? Because she's.
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: Not religious.
- 1:13:15Speaker 2: Okay, but you're pregnant.
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: We've seen your partying in the club videos, girl.
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: The daddy that you met at the club. Yeah.
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: So he then jokes about he's going to be praying
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: five times tonight. You know what I'm saying? Oh, mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: And then she goes, okay. And he goes, but like
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: for the conversion, all I have to change is like
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: eating pork and the drinking, right? And she goes, well,
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: it's okay to drink sometimes.
- 1:13:47Speaker 2: Yeah, look at what I do.
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: Yeah, that's her version.
- 1:13:50Speaker 2: Yeah, I do coke off ladies' boobs at the club.
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: That's fine.
- 1:13:56Speaker 2: She even makes a joke about feeling high. So like
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: at one point, so she's obviously done some sort of drugs.
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: Yeah. And he says, well, I didn't know if you
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: wanted me to commit like hardcore. And she goes, I don't.
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: I don't. Maybe my parents do. And he goes, well,
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: maybe they want you to convert me. So then I'll
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: help you become more religious. And she goes, maybe. And
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: then she goes, what about your vaping? And he goes, nah,
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: I don't have any with me. And she goes, but
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: when was the last time you did it? The last
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: time I caught you? And he goes, I don't know.
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: And she goes, I found out I was pregnant, but
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: then your vape fell out of your pocket. So that
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: was the last time, you swear? And he goes, no,
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: I don't swear to that. And she goes, oh my God,
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: you can't be vaping. What else are you hiding? The
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: talking head, she says, he's supposed to stop vaping because,
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: first of all, it's illegal in Singapore. And he could
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: be fined.
- 1:14:57Speaker 2: $ 7, 820. Crazy.
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: Or put in jail.
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: And, wow, good for you, Singapore. Yeah. And she says, also,
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: it's super unhealthy. And he's going to be the father
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: of my baby. And he goes, what else would I
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: be hiding? Come on. He goes, look, I'm 49 years old.
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: You're not my mom. You can't go around cutting off
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: my nuts and expecting me to be this proud, providing man.
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: And she goes, but if you hide one thing, you
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: could hide other things. He goes, I'm not hiding anything.
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: I'm making huge changes for you. I'm converting to Islam.
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: I quit smoking weed. I'm not fucking drinking anymore. And
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: I'm not vaping anymore. Right? Like, how many things have
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: you given up to be with me? Well, her body.
- 1:15:43Speaker 2: Her body.
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And he says, you're not having to
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: do what I'm having to do to make it work.
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: So this is a bunch of bullshit. Like, chill, sister.
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: I was like, somebody's got jet lag. And that's where
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: we leave it. And we don't. Now, I watched the screener.
- 1:16:00Speaker 2: I didn't like that.
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: I watched the screener. And we did not get a
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: next time on the screener. But it was probably like
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: this season on. So we do have three couples that
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: we haven't seen. We've got Zuri and Ben. Ben is
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: from France. Mm-hmm. Armando and Kenny that they had to
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: just slide in there at the last minute, which is fine.
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: Michelle and Felix. Felix is from Ghana.
- 1:16:23Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't even remember what they look like from
- 1:16:25Speaker 2: the preview.
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: I don't either, but Ghana, I just looked it up.
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: It is the size of Oregon. Yeah, they don't know
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: each other. Is that big? I don't... And it also
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: said it's also the size of the UK. Is the
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: UK only the size of Oregon? I can't be right.
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: I can't be right.
- 1:16:41Speaker 2: The whole UK?
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: Listen... Google AI doesn't always work.
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: You're asking the wrong person.
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: Yeah. And you and I.
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: I literally have to look up most of these places
- 1:16:52Speaker 2: on a world map to see where they are.
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: I just know that Ghana is in Africa. France and
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: Italy are both in Europe. And Singapore is in Asia.
- 1:17:02Speaker 2: Yep.
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: That's it. That's all I got for you.
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: Yep. And Australia is on its own.
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: It's on its own. It's its own thing.
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: Well, there's other things down there. New Zealand.
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: Sure.
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: Tasmania.
- 1:17:15Speaker 2: Tasmania, but it's part of Australia. Yeah.
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: Dylan and Pateer. Yeah.
- 1:17:20Speaker 2: Pateer.
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: RIP. You guys, that's it. Thank you so much. And
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: like I said, yesterday was the new episode of Love
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: After Lockup Relationship Rehab. I covered it with Keisha. So good.
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: So good. Praise, praise, praise Yahweh. We didn't have to
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: hear Agent Appropriate or This Is Polly. Those are gone.
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: We're going to be right here on TLC Tuesdays talking
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: about 90 Day The Other Way. Kimberly and I also
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: cover 90 Day, The Last Resort. That comes out on
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: Fridays on the $ 5 level of Prime. And Keisha and
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: I are continuing our coverage of Welcome to Plathville, The Rewatch,
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: The Rewind. And I also want to tell you this
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: week on Thursday, I have a very funny Southern comedian.
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: Her name is Mary Ryan Brown. She's very, very funny
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: and she does Southern comedy, which I love. So I'm
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: excited to have her on. I don't know what she watches.
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: I don't, she's just funny and is friends with Landon Bryant.
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: So I was like, let's have her on and see
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: what's doing. So that will be this week. Now, also,
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: I want to say, if you guys are coming to
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: New York for LibreFest, and I hope you are. There
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: are people, like always happens, people at the last minute
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: can't use their tickets for whatever reason. If you have
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: a ticket or if you need a ticket, DM me
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: on Instagram because there are some people that aren't in
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: the Facebook group that are like, hey, I have one ticket.
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: I thought I could come. Something happened. So if you
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: still want to come, there is like a one-off here
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: and there where people do have a ticket. So you
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: could go into the Facebook group, not the main Facebook page.
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: that's like the official page, but the Facebook group. It
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: is pinned at the top and people are writing underneath
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: it if they have tickets and then people are DMing
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: me directly. Not lots of people, there's like one or two.
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: But if you want to come, you don't have a ticket,
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: let us know. It's this Friday at the Hard Rock
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: Cafe in Times Square. Yeah, we're going to Times Square,
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: you guys. We're going to be on a marquee. All
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: of it.
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: All of it. All of it.
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: I can't wait to see Kimberly and Keisha. I'm so excited.
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: I'll see you guys on Thursday. I know. I'm so happy.
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: That's it. Make sure you're following Kimberly and Katie's podcast,
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: A Date with Dateline. They also have a separate podcast
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: called A Date with the Bake, which is the Great
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: British Baking Show.
- 1:19:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: It was the Great British Bake Off.
- 1:19:33Speaker 2: Or Bake Off.
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:19:35Speaker 2: Yeah. Depends where you are.
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: Yeah, they're covering that. And make sure you're following them
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: on YouTube as well. A Date with K & K.
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: Make sure you're following me, Pink Shade. Pink Shade Monkeys

- 1:19:49Speaker 1: find it. Please. We need all the followers we can get, guys.
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: It helps. It helps. And we'll be back right here
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: next week to talk about 90 Day the Other Way.
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: New season. We're excited. That's it. Bye. Bye.
