- 0:00Speaker 1: It's more of Mark.
- 0:01Speaker 2: Mr.
- 0:02Speaker 1: New York on 710WOR. Well, we'll get to the Kennedy Center.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Crazy Ed Sheeran, Mom Donnie, and more. I just upgraded
- 0:15Speaker 1: my iPhone to iOS 27 because it said a whole
- 0:21Speaker 1: new experience. iOS 27. Let me just tell you what
- 0:25Speaker 1: the new experience is. First of all, everything looks exactly
- 0:28Speaker 1: the same. The experience is Anytime you want to do anything.
- 0:31Speaker 1: I try to, I open my calendar. Let's show you
- 0:34Speaker 1: what's new in calendar. Just open the calendar. I don't
- 0:36Speaker 1: care what's new in calendar. Now I try to get
- 0:39Speaker 1: my mail. Let's show you what's new in mail. I
- 0:42Speaker 1: don't want a tour of what's new in mail. Just
- 0:45Speaker 1: open the mail. So, uh, the new iPhone coming, uh,
- 0:49Speaker 1: I think in a week or so, uh, everybody, uh,
- 0:52Speaker 1: has had a chance to test all these reviewers and experts.
- 0:54Speaker 1: They've tested the, um, The new stuff, not too crazy
- 0:58Speaker 1: about the foldable phone. Nobody's too crazy about that. The
- 1:02Speaker 1: new iPhone 18 Pro, everybody raving. It's the most incredible phone.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Battery life is unbelievable. It can go for almost two
- 1:10Speaker 1: days on that battery. So iPhone 18 Pro, that's the
- 1:15Speaker 1: one to get, the foldable. Unless you got to look
- 1:18Speaker 1: at big documents on your phone where you need to
- 1:21Speaker 1: see a big screen to really see the documents, unless
- 1:23Speaker 1: you do something like that, Or charts or something. You
- 1:27Speaker 1: really don't need the foldable. And the camera's not as
- 1:30Speaker 1: good on the foldable. So a lot of reasons to
- 1:34Speaker 1: wait on the foldable. Just wait on that. This crazy Macklemore.
- 1:40Speaker 1: This is the guy that was opening for Ed Sheeran.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Ed Sheeran is like the nicest guy in the music business.
- 1:46Speaker 1: I got tangled up with this idiot. Macklemore is using
- 1:52Speaker 1: this as much as he can. His point is he
- 1:55Speaker 1: hates Jews. He hates Israel. He gets on stage. You're
- 1:58Speaker 1: paying hundreds of dollars a ticket for a concert for
- 2:01Speaker 1: the guy to sing, and instead you get.
- 2:03Speaker 3: To all of my Jewish brothers and sisters, criticism of Israel,
- 2:10Speaker 3: criticism of apartheid, being against genocide, in no way is
- 2:15Speaker 3: a criticism of you.
- 2:18Speaker 1: That's a real anti-Semitism. Semite. Called it apartheid. There was
- 2:22Speaker 1: no apartheid. genocide there was no genocide except on the
- 2:26Speaker 1: part of hamas when they committed the october 7th holocaust
- 2:30Speaker 1: but so he's uh been thrown off the tour uh
- 2:35Speaker 1: the stadium owners will not let him appear they're led
- 2:38Speaker 1: by bob craft robert craft so mclemore trying to exploit
- 2:43Speaker 1: the whole situation now he's going after bob craft and
- 2:47Speaker 1: he was yelling and screaming about craft why don't you
- 2:51Speaker 1: do something humanitarian? Why don't you do something like that? Well,
- 2:56Speaker 1: if you look at the track record of Bob Kraft,
- 2:59Speaker 1: the guy's a major, major philanthropist donating to all kinds
- 3:02Speaker 1: of humanitarian causes, charities all his life. And as soon
- 3:08Speaker 1: as McLemore said that, Kraft wrote a check for $ 2
- 3:13Speaker 1: million for humanitarian aid for Gaza and all of that.
- 3:19Speaker 1: As soon as he heard that, Kraft wrote a $ 2
- 3:21Speaker 1: million check for humanitarian aid. We're still waiting for McLemore's check.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Still waiting to get something from McLemore. Haven't heard anything yet.
- 3:31Speaker 1: So all of this is exposing the silly, frightening anti-Semitism
- 3:37Speaker 1: in the world of music fans. Many of them are
- 3:43Speaker 1: now demanding a refund for their Ed Sheeran tickets. They
- 3:46Speaker 1: won't go. And they want their money back if Macklemore
- 3:49Speaker 1: is not there. So this is absolutely insane. AOC jumping
- 3:54Speaker 1: in on this. Now she's going after Ed Sheeran.
- 3:56Speaker 2: I have a huge amount of empathy for the situation.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Because I think people want the focus here to be
- 4:06Speaker 2: about Ed Sheeran. And he, of course, plays a role.
- 4:09Speaker 2: But they're not putting the focus on Robert Kraft and
- 4:14Speaker 2: the actual people who are... who are kind of twisting
- 4:17Speaker 2: things here. So, and again, everyone has responsibility in the situation.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Everyone plays a role, but we need to be very
- 4:25Speaker 2: clear about how dangerous a precedent this is.
- 4:28Speaker 1: It's not a dangerous precedent. You're booking a music concert.
- 4:31Speaker 1: You don't want any crazy political nonsense. And she is
- 4:34Speaker 1: going after Ed Sheeran. See, she's lying there. Listen to
- 4:38Speaker 1: this reporter who asked her a question. Hey, if Ed
- 4:42Speaker 1: Sheeran comes on the radio while you're driving along, are
- 4:45Speaker 1: you changing the channels?
- 4:48Speaker 3: I am.
- 4:48Speaker 2: I am.
- 4:49Speaker 1: I am.
- 4:50Speaker 3: I am.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Now, I love Z100. It's our other station right down
- 4:54Speaker 1: the hall. I do actually listen to Z100. I have
- 4:57Speaker 1: never once said, what is that, Ed Sheeran? Turn the channel.
- 5:00Speaker 1: I'm not listening to this. Who would turn the station
- 5:02Speaker 1: because Ed Sheeran? First of all, Ed Sheeran comes on
- 5:04Speaker 1: every 20 minutes. It's just insane. And if you had
- 5:08Speaker 1: any sympathy for Macklemore, remember when he said.
- 5:11Speaker 3: Yeah, f * * * America.
- 5:17Speaker 1: That's Macklemore. Yeah, f * * * America. Yeah, so
- 5:22Speaker 1: have no sympathy for him at all. President Trump getting
- 5:27Speaker 1: blocked everywhere about putting his name on the Kennedy Center.
- 5:30Speaker 1: He wanted to call it the Kennedy Trump Center, or
- 5:33Speaker 1: probably the Trump Kennedy Center. Uh, that got shot down.
- 5:37Speaker 1: So then the idea was it does need renovations. It's
- 5:40Speaker 1: about to collapse. It's in total disrepair. So it has
- 5:44Speaker 1: to be renovated, but the judge blocked everything. And then
- 5:46Speaker 1: he was going to, he finally agreed to, uh, Kennedy center.
- 5:50Speaker 1: And then somewhere on this building, it would say as
- 5:52Speaker 1: a read, redone by Donald Trump, a judge shot that
- 5:56Speaker 1: down and the Kennedy center, uh, well, Trump is now
- 6:00Speaker 1: saying he may tear down the whole Kennedy center. You know,
- 6:05Speaker 1: the problem is it's a little childish. You can't do that.
- 6:10Speaker 1: I mean, if you renovate the thing, I guess you're
- 6:15Speaker 1: entitled to have your name on it somewhere, but you
- 6:17Speaker 1: don't have to insist on it. But he likes to
- 6:21Speaker 1: put his name on things. The problem with this, it's
- 6:24Speaker 1: too childish. I'm going to tear it all down. I'll
- 6:25Speaker 1: just destroy it. You can't do that. That's the kind
- 6:28Speaker 1: of thing you do in business when you're a builder.
- 6:32Speaker 1: And see, the problem is he's done that all his life.
- 6:34Speaker 1: And all these guys do it. That's not wrong. If
- 6:37Speaker 1: you're trying to build some big office building or some
- 6:40Speaker 1: Yankee stadium or something and the city or the town
- 6:43Speaker 1: is giving you a hard time and blocking you and
- 6:46Speaker 1: giving you nothing but grief, that's what you do. You throw, well,
- 6:49Speaker 1: I'll move the Yankees to New Jersey or some big
- 6:53Speaker 1: office building. You know, the companies do that all the
- 6:55Speaker 1: time and they're giving a hard time. Oh, we'll move
- 6:57Speaker 1: the thing to Westchester then if you want. How many
- 7:00Speaker 1: times has the stock market threatened to move to Westchester?
- 7:04Speaker 1: You do that all the time in the private sector.
- 7:07Speaker 1: You can't do that in the government. These are public institutions.
- 7:09Speaker 1: You can't threaten to tear down the Kennedy Center just
- 7:12Speaker 1: because they won't let you put your name on it.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Although he is right about the dire need to fix
- 7:18Speaker 1: this place. They've actually closed it down because it's just
- 7:21Speaker 1: too dangerous to have people in the building. The whole thing.
- 7:26Speaker 1: It's about to collapse, the Kennedy Center. They call it
- 7:29Speaker 1: water intrusion. The piping system, they kept adding on and
- 7:33Speaker 1: doing it incorrectly. And it's government, so they made a
- 7:36Speaker 1: mess of it. And the water has just seeped into
- 7:38Speaker 1: every inch of the building. Not this past weekend, but
- 7:42Speaker 1: the weekend before, big, big chunk of the ceiling collapsed.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Right over the lobby where everybody would have been standing
- 7:49Speaker 1: had the place been open. Enormous chunk of the ceiling
- 7:53Speaker 1: came crashing down. People would have been injured, hurt, maybe
- 7:55Speaker 1: even killed. So it's not safe to open the building.
- 7:59Speaker 1: They've closed it down. It may just stay closed if
- 8:02Speaker 1: he can't renovate it. If you've got to renovate the
- 8:05Speaker 1: Kennedy Center, Congress allocated $ 250 million for the renovation. If
- 8:10Speaker 1: the government does the renovation, it'll cost $ 6 billion. If
- 8:14Speaker 1: a real builder from the private sector does, it'll probably
- 8:16Speaker 1: cost $ 100 million. And as long as you've got a
- 8:20Speaker 1: president who's a master builder... why not let him do it?
- 8:25Speaker 1: I know many of you hate Trump. You can't stand him.
- 8:28Speaker 1: You don't like him. You don't like his policies. Fine.
- 8:32Speaker 1: But the one thing he does know how to do
- 8:34Speaker 1: is build. In fact, they do need a ballroom. Many
- 8:37Speaker 1: presidents have said they've got to have this ballroom. As
- 8:40Speaker 1: long as you've got a guy in office who's a
- 8:42Speaker 1: master builder and has already built 150 ballrooms, let him
- 8:47Speaker 1: do it. Let him do it. Have you seen that
- 8:49Speaker 1: new heliport? It's beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. it's got the seal
- 8:56Speaker 1: of the president. It's magnificent. It's in all kinds of granite.
- 9:00Speaker 1: You know, when the helicopter would land on the White
- 9:03Speaker 1: House lawn, this has been going on for years. These
- 9:06Speaker 1: are not regular helicopters. These are these big, enormous military
- 9:10Speaker 1: marine helicopters. You know how hot the heat coming out
- 9:14Speaker 1: of that engine gets? When they would land, they would
- 9:17Speaker 1: burn up the grass. The tires are so big, they
- 9:20Speaker 1: would destroy the grass. So what they would do When
- 9:22Speaker 1: the helicopter had to land, you never even noticed this.
- 9:24Speaker 1: They put down these four enormous metal plates on the
- 9:28Speaker 1: ground for the tires to land on the metal plates
- 9:31Speaker 1: because the grass couldn't hold the helicopter or it'd burn
- 9:34Speaker 1: up the grass. So that's why when you saw Marine
- 9:37Speaker 1: One come down, it came down so slow and it
- 9:39Speaker 1: jerked around a little because the pilot had to hit
- 9:42Speaker 1: those four plates exactly. And Trump, after watching this, just
- 9:46Speaker 1: thought it was preposterous, put in a helipad, a real one,
- 9:50Speaker 1: so the helicopter wouldn't just land and it won't tear
- 9:52Speaker 1: up and burn up the grass all the time. And
- 9:55Speaker 1: it's so big and beautiful, this heliport, with the big,
- 9:57Speaker 1: beautiful emblem in it. You could also use it for events,
- 10:00Speaker 1: for parties, for a cocktail party or whatever. So he
- 10:03Speaker 1: rebuilt it. It's perfect. A lot of these things he's
- 10:05Speaker 1: done are great. Absolutely great. There's an entrance where when
- 10:10Speaker 1: you see the world leaders come in and they're greeted
- 10:13Speaker 1: on the steps and then they go through the door
- 10:14Speaker 1: into the White House. Well, when they first go to
- 10:16Speaker 1: the White House, that big area is called the Palm Court.
- 10:20Speaker 1: And it was hideous. It was cheap, cracked linoleum. The
- 10:24Speaker 1: walls weren't so great. So Trump redid that immediately. Now
- 10:27Speaker 1: it's beautiful marble. It's a grand entrance when you come in.
- 10:31Speaker 1: So he's done a lot of great things. All right.
- 10:34Speaker 1: The Oval Office, that was a good idea to put
- 10:37Speaker 1: some gold trim up there. but not every inch of
- 10:41Speaker 1: the wall. Maybe some gold on the molding or something,
- 10:45Speaker 1: but not every inch. And it was a very good
- 10:48Speaker 1: idea to bring some more paintings, some of those beautiful
- 10:50Speaker 1: paintings in there, but not 300 of them. You don't
- 10:53Speaker 1: need to put a painting on every inch of every wall.
- 10:56Speaker 1: It's a little too much. So when you walk in there,
- 10:59Speaker 1: it's like a kaleidoscope. You can't even see straight when
- 11:01Speaker 1: you walk in that room. So he does get carried
- 11:04Speaker 1: away on some of those things, but let him Let
- 11:07Speaker 1: him rebuild the Kennedy Center. He does know how to
- 11:09Speaker 1: do that. And everything he's built is pretty good. Have
- 11:12Speaker 1: you ever heard about a problem with any of his buildings,
- 11:14Speaker 1: with Trump Tower? You ever heard about a problem with
- 11:17Speaker 1: the Grand Hyatt, which he built over Grand Central? You
- 11:20Speaker 1: ever hear about a problem with Trump International, Columbus Circle?
- 11:26Speaker 1: You ever been in the U.N. building? It is the
- 11:28Speaker 1: most disgusting, decrepit building. From the moment you walk in
- 11:31Speaker 1: the lobby to every hallway, every room is old, decrepit looking.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Right across the street, Trump, what's it called? The Trump
- 11:39Speaker 1: World Tower. Magnificent building. Much better. So let them rebuild
- 11:43Speaker 1: all this stuff. Hey, let me just check here. If
- 11:48Speaker 1: you're a Democrat, cover your ears. Stock market is up today.
- 11:52Speaker 1: Way up. And oil is falling. It's down to $ 100
- 11:55Speaker 1: a barrel. Still way too high. But it's coming down
- 11:59Speaker 1: and will keep coming down. Hey, a new book has
- 12:03Speaker 1: come out. Princess Dye Her brother wrote a book. Princess
- 12:10Speaker 1: Di's brother has written a book. It's a little late.
- 12:13Speaker 1: I mean, that's how long ago is that? 30 years ago.
- 12:16Speaker 1: You don't realize that? Princess Di crashed in 1997. That's
- 12:21Speaker 1: almost 30 years ago. So it's a new book, and
- 12:24Speaker 1: it really goes after King Charles. Her brother is Charles Spencer,
- 12:28Speaker 1: the ninth Earl of Spencer. Yeah, great. I don't know
- 12:34Speaker 1: what happened to the first eight Earls of Spencer, but
- 12:36Speaker 1: this guy's the ninth Earl of Spencer. It says, new
- 12:39Speaker 1: bombshell book, Swan Song, Diana, my sister. All right, not
- 12:44Speaker 1: the greatest title, but then he's only the ninth Earl
- 12:47Speaker 1: of Spencer. The monarch, he says that after Diana died,
- 12:54Speaker 1: that Charles was very cold about it. You know, the
- 12:57Speaker 1: marriage hadn't been great. And then after she died, after
- 13:00Speaker 1: the car crash, he vowed that he said his ex-wife
- 13:04Speaker 1: would be forgotten soon enough. That's how they talk if
- 13:09Speaker 1: you're royalty. You know, if you're in America, if you
- 13:11Speaker 1: hated your wife and she was going to cry, you'd say,
- 13:13Speaker 1: F her. You'd say, eh, people forget about her. But
- 13:17Speaker 1: if you're a royal, she'll be forgotten soon enough. Now,
- 13:21Speaker 1: if you want to sound really classy, use that phrase,
- 13:24Speaker 1: soon enough. Yeah. So if you yelled at somebody, I'll
- 13:30Speaker 1: take care of you, just throw that in. I'll take
- 13:33Speaker 1: care of you soon enough. It makes you sound very classy.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Soon enough. Diana, you know, I forgot about this. She
- 13:42Speaker 1: was only 36 at the time. Only 36. So this
- 13:46Speaker 1: new book discusses how Charles had contempt for Diana. And
- 13:50Speaker 1: he couldn't believe anybody would be so bowled over by
- 13:54Speaker 1: her death. They put out a statement at Buckingham Palace.
- 13:57Speaker 1: It's a good statement, actually. Very classy, this Buckingham Palace book.
- 14:02Speaker 1: Normally you put out a statement, this guy's a liar
- 14:04Speaker 1: and an idiot. The statement said, it warned that the
- 14:09Speaker 1: loss of the Princess of Wales could have muddled Spencer's memory.
- 14:14Speaker 1: His Majesty is mindful that the pain of fraternal grief
- 14:18Speaker 1: can cloud reason, affect judgment, and color memory in ways
- 14:23Speaker 1: others do not recognize. Even many years after such a loss.
- 14:27Speaker 1: That is the classiest put down. ever in the history
- 14:31Speaker 1: of the world. You got to give Charles credit for
- 14:33Speaker 1: that stuff. Anyway, we'll take some calls next. 800-321. Oh,
- 14:39Speaker 1: excuse me.
- 14:39Speaker 3: Wait.
- 14:40Speaker 1: We'll take some calls soon enough. Soon enough, we'll take
- 14:44Speaker 1: some calls. 800-321-0710 is the number.
- 14:45Speaker 3: 800-321-0710.
