Speaker 1: You probably got a whole load of cars out in the parking lot ready for this cruise.
• 3:18
Speaker 1: And behind the camera this morning is our good friend Randy welded.
• 3:24
  Speaker 2: Randy

• 3:27
  Speaker 1: There's Randy.
• 3:28
Speaker 1: So Verint, tell me about this.
• 3:31
Speaker 1: Is this an annual event?
• 3:32
Speaker 1: Is this first of its kind or what?
• 3:34
  Speaker 4: No.
• 3:34
Speaker 4: This is this is actually our our second one.
• 3:36
Speaker 4: We did this last year.
• 3:38
Speaker 4: Actually, this is going to be our fifth cruise of the year now.
• 3:42
Speaker 4: We we we are big in the cruises and and getting our members out there and and have a little bit of fun.
• 3:49
Speaker 1: Well, I sure hope that you bring with you.
• 3:52
Speaker 1: The air conditioning guy.
• 3:54
Speaker 1: Because if anybody loses air conditioning today, they're gonna be down and out.
• 3:59
Speaker 4: That that's what we got Randy for.
• 4:01
  Speaker 1: Randy welded.
• 4:02
Speaker 1: Randy's good for something, and that's a good thing for him to be good of.
• 4:05
  Speaker 1: Yeah.
• 4:06
  Speaker 1: We got Yeah.
• 4:06
  Speaker 4: I am NBA C certified.
• 4:08
  Speaker 1: Alright.
• 4:09
Speaker 1: Well, that's good to know.
• 4:10
Speaker 1: And he's got a big jug of free on in the back of the card and we're ready to go.
• 4:15
Speaker 1: So where are you guys going today?
• 4:17
Speaker 4: We're gonna hand over to Anderson to the Crocs County courthouse.
• 4:23
Speaker 4: And we're gonna travel through the downtown one zero five around up the seventeen seventy four over there and then take a few pictures.
• 4:32
Speaker 4: I mean, it's a beautiful courthouse, and then we're gonna need some there and head into the National Forest and wind, you know, wind around through there and get up to Huntsville where we're gonna take the time to eat lunch.
• 4:44
Speaker 4: And then we'll finish up there and head on over to the Texas prison museum.
• 4:49
Speaker 4: Before we head on back.
• 4:52
Speaker 1: So, you know, there's there seems to be a lot of jails and prisons and incarcerations going on in this tour.
• 4:59
Speaker 1: The courthouse, there in Grimes County, I believe, has a jail in the upstairs of that facility, and you're gonna wind up at the prison museum.
• 5:07
Speaker 1: And I think they're the walls unit.
• 5:09
Speaker 1: I think that the old sparky is in there.
• 5:11
  Speaker 4: I was
• 5:11
Speaker 2: gonna say who's testing old sparky?
• 5:15
  Speaker 4: It isn't it.
• 5:15
Speaker 4: I'm I'm definitely supposedly, there's a there's a a letter in there from Bonnie and Clyde when he sent it to Ford saying that how much he appreciated the car that Ford built, even though that he knows mister Ford didn't appreciate the kind of business he was in.
• 5:32
Speaker 1: Well, how fun I did not know that.
• 5:34
Speaker 1: Is that where that original letter is?
• 5:36
  Speaker 1: Mhmm.
• 5:36
Speaker 4: That's why I understand that the letter is.
• 5:39
Speaker 3: I'll be praising the flathead Ford v eight.
• 5:41
Speaker 1: Well, it was an accomplishment that carries on today.
• 5:46
  Speaker 4: Yes.
• 5:46
Speaker 1: And not in the flat head form, but it's certainly the v eight was a a a true game changer as as it were.
• 5:55
Speaker 1: So how many people are gonna go on this cruise?
• 5:58
Speaker 4: We've got we've got twenty one people that are headed on, you know, beyond the cruise.
• 6:03
Speaker 4: Now that's twenty one vehicles.
• 6:04
Speaker 4: We'll have you know, so we can end up with, you know, forty eighty plus people.
• 6:08
Speaker 4: And then also have a hundred and twenty seven at our interested and so we know how many of those are gonna show up.
• 6:13
Speaker 1: Well, as this is strictly a Mustang thing,
• 6:16
  Speaker 4: No, sir.
• 6:17
Speaker 4: This is open to all car enthusiasts no matter what you drive.
• 6:21
Speaker 4: This is how this is to have fun with the whole community You you can bring your Chevy, your Dodge, your import.
• 6:29
Speaker 4: We'd rather you drive the Ford Mustang, but It's open to everybody.
• 6:33
Speaker 3: So listen, they could always trade in and buy a new Mustang from Gilo.
• 6:37
  Speaker 3: Well,
• 6:38
Speaker 1: the the only other thing that I can think of is that there's probably going to be a lot of No's thumbing going on up and down the the the the track today.
• 6:47
  Speaker 4: Correct.
• 6:48
  Speaker 4: There was.
• 6:51
  Speaker 1: Alright.
• 6:51
Speaker 1: What kind of what kind of car do you have?
• 6:54
Speaker 4: Well, I've I've got a sixty seven Fastback Mustang I don't have this on the cruise, but we I also have or my wife has.
• 7:03
Speaker 4: I better correct that.
• 7:04
Speaker 4: She's got the o six converted Mustang that looks like a sixty seven Fastback.
• 7:11
  Speaker 2: Oh, wow.
• 7:11
Speaker 4: Tribute cars, those aren't two.
• 7:14
  Speaker 2: How
• 7:14
  Speaker 1: close is that?
• 7:15
  Speaker 1: Yeah.
• 7:15
  Speaker 4: They're they're they're heavy to the dealers.
• 7:17
Speaker 4: I mean, that's for the dealers.
• 7:19
  Speaker 1: I didn't You know,
• 7:20
  Speaker 4: I've seen them?
• 7:20
  Speaker 1: I I well, I I don't those if I have if I have, I didn't recognize
• 7:24
Speaker 3: I think we saw them down when we were at the aviation museum in Ellington field.
• 7:29
Speaker 3: They were kinda parked right out the front door to the left.
• 7:32
Speaker 3: The guy had the sixty seven tribute cars.
• 7:35
Speaker 3: So there's a a front end change that's very much sixty seven ish and then the back end Nice conversion.
• 7:43
Speaker 1: How fun I guess I just didn't recognize it or know it.
• 7:46
Speaker 1: Do they still sell these conversions?
• 7:49
  Speaker 4: Yes.
• 7:49
  Speaker 4: They do.
• 7:50
Speaker 1: So I can I can buy a new Mustang and have it convert it and have it look like a sixty seven?
• 7:57
  Speaker 4: They're they're converting o fives to two thousand fourteen's.
• 8:01
  Speaker 1: O fives to fourteen's.
• 8:02
Speaker 3: New powertrain, classic body style.
• 8:05
  Speaker 1: I love it.
• 8:05
  Speaker 1: That's pretty cool.
• 8:06
  Speaker 1: Yep.
• 8:06
Speaker 2: But they do that also for other manufacturers as well.
• 8:08
Speaker 1: Well, I was gonna say, I think that Camaro is into that.
• 8:11
  Speaker 1: Camaro and Transan.
• 8:13
  Speaker 1: Yeah.
• 8:13
Speaker 3: This is a Mustang event.
• 8:14
Speaker 3: I don't want you to talk about the mullet head.
• 8:17
Speaker 3: But he said you could bring that right, Martin.
• 8:19
Speaker 2: You could bring anything to work.
• 8:22
Speaker 1: Jeff wants to bring -- Right.
• 8:23
Speaker 1: -- Jeff wants to bring the Cadillac.
• 8:25
  Speaker 1: Yeah.
• 8:25
  Speaker 1: Is that okay?
• 8:27
Speaker 4: That is that is perfectly sweet.
• 8:29
  Speaker 3: To do it.
• 8:29
Speaker 3: But he's in Sugarland, so we best get in it now and Hall Hall donkey to get there.
• 8:34
  Speaker 1: Hall donkey.
• 8:35
  Speaker 1: Yeah.
• 8:35
Speaker 1: So he'll have to meet you at the Grimes County jailhouse.
• 8:39
  Speaker 4: Yeah.
• 8:39
Speaker 4: Maybe you'll be in it.
• 8:41
  Speaker 4: Right?
• 8:41
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 8:42
  Speaker 3: On the yeah.
• 8:43
Speaker 3: And his paddle, I could be on the hook

• 8:45
Speaker 1: -- on the hook out front again.
• 8:47
  Speaker 1: Yep.
• 8:48
Speaker 1: Now, Ainsley, I think that he needs to bring the van.
• 8:51
Speaker 1: Did you bring the van today?
• 8:52
  Speaker 1: Yeah.
• 8:53
  Speaker 4: Not the van.
• 8:53
Speaker 1: So that that so let us let us just kind of go off of a sidetrack here.
• 8:59
  Speaker 1: Let's talk about Ainsley's van.
• 9:02

• 18:47
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 18:47
  Speaker 1: --
• 18:47
Speaker 3: at Texas, and they canceled it because they were too fast and
• 18:49
  Speaker 1: they thought the
• 18:50
Speaker 2: drivers didn't wanna run unsafe.
• 18:52

  Speaker 1: Bad things.
• 19:15
  Speaker 1: Bad things.
• 19:16
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 19:17
Speaker 3: So that's the race car.
• 19:18
Speaker 3: Don, back to you.
• 19:19
Speaker 1: I think that they all should be road courses.
• 19:21
Speaker 1: Either street courses or actual road courses like up in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.
• 19:28
  Speaker 3: Elkkosh.
• 19:29
  Speaker 3: Road America.
• 19:30
Speaker 1: What a wonderful track that is.
• 19:31
  Speaker 1: Yeah.
• 19:32
Speaker 1: Remember, I remember I always used to love watching Riverside for NASCAR.
• 19:36

• 19:40
  Speaker 3: Except It's
• 19:41
  Speaker 1: not a
• 19:41
Speaker 2: very good part of town.
• 19:42
  Speaker 2: Alright.
• 19:44
Speaker 1: Mister Zikin is back.
• 19:46
  Speaker 1: Yep.
• 19:47
Speaker 1: And he always has a feature for us this week.
• 19:49
  Speaker 1: It's automotive calendars.
• 19:50
Speaker 2: And how many automotive calendars have you bought in your allotted time?
• 19:54
Speaker 2: The calendar was first invented thirty one hundred BC was the first calendar.
• 19:58
Speaker 1: Well, will it start
• 19:59
Speaker 2: to work on cars there?
• 20:00
  Speaker 2: Was it
• 20:00
Speaker 3: I didn't know it was BC
• 20:01
Speaker 2: because they it was on the calendar.
• 20:03
Speaker 2: They checked it off.
• 20:04
Speaker 2: So the you know, I'll get into this, and then we're gonna show some what my version of a calendar would be for twenty twenty four.
• 20:12
Speaker 1: Is it like a rock?
• 20:13
  Speaker 1: Is it
• 20:15
Speaker 2: But calendars, again, way back and and my version, this is about the time of the year where you get that information and you plug in all those pretty pictures of cars and bikes and all that other stuff.
• 20:27
Speaker 2: But the first Photo of a car was invented by Karl Benz in Manheim Germany, the first appearance on the Manheim streets of Germany,
• 20:36

• 20:40
  Speaker 2: We are horrible.
• 20:41
Speaker 2: The pictures are sensitive for trademark.
• 20:44
Speaker 2: So I couldn't pull those up.
• 20:45
  Speaker 2: It wouldn't wouldn't go through.
• 20:46
Speaker 2: So that's why we don't have anybody.
• 20:48
Speaker 2: But eighteen eighty three is the first one.
• 20:50
Speaker 2: The first color photograph was taken in nineteen o six of a girl in front of a nineteen o two Renault.
• 20:55
Speaker 2: And her father's truck, her father's car, French.
• 20:58
Speaker 1: Was it called the Oolala?
• 20:59
  Speaker 1: No.
• 21:00
  Speaker 1: But her name
• 21:01
  Speaker 2: was Suzanne Demur.
• 21:03
Speaker 2: And she was the daughter of Louis Lemir.
• 21:05
Speaker 2: And it was his own Renault, an eight eight horsepower car, and he did it for Who knew?
• 21:10
  Speaker 2: Four photograph.
• 21:11
Speaker 1: So Oh, Renault knew
• 21:12
Speaker 2: Renault knew So that's where the calendars started.
• 21:15
Speaker 2: And this actually is my version of a twenty twenty four calendar check this out.
• 21:22
Speaker 2: These are the January through February.
• 21:25

  Speaker 1: Let's see from
• 21:37
  Speaker 2: Here's February.

• 21:53
  Speaker 2: That's April.
• 21:54
Speaker 2: And of course, my month for me would be this one, you know, you're out in front of the house and you look out and boom your cars on fire.
• 22:01
Speaker 1: The fire department pulls up and you're going, what's a big hub up?
• 22:03
Speaker 1: About wait a minute.
• 22:04
  Speaker 1: That's my car.
• 22:04
  Speaker 2: And I think there's a Porsche, and then I think there's a a Range Rover behind it.
• 22:08
Speaker 2: No flames or any no one was hurt in any of these.
• 22:11
Speaker 2: So there you go.
• 22:12
