- 0:00But I do, Amanda, want to pay some homage to President's Day,
- 0:02because you know it's a big one. Some what homage? It's a homage?
- 0:09Are you saying homage? But there are some fun facts about President's Day
- 0:12I want to share with you, Okay, And this is the most exciting
- 0:15I'm not even being sarcastic, like this is the most excited I've been to
- 0:19talk about something on the show in quite a while. Like I enjoy talking
- 0:22about whatever it is we bring up, but this for them, I'm so
- 0:24excited to share, Amanda. Did you know fun fact number one? Take
- 0:28you right? Well? You should because I'm dead serious. You know John
- 0:32Adams and Thomas Jefferson President's numbers two and three? Yeah? Do you know
- 0:38that they died on the fourth of July, the exact same day, within
- 0:43hours of each other. What total coincidence? Had nothing? It's not like
- 0:47they weren't in the car accident, which there weren't many of back eighteen twenty
- 0:53six. But really, yeah, and it was it was fifty years after
- 0:57the original for the July, the original Independence Day. That is really uh,
- 1:03unsettling. I don't know that. I think it's more of a fun
- 1:07fact not sod for their families. Real fun fact. Okay, speaking of
- 1:12president's families, I have a super fun fact that I know, I knew
- 1:15myself. I'm bringing it to the table on my own. This one though,
- 1:19John Quincy Adams remember him, JQA. He went skinny dipping every single
- 1:25day during his president Where the Laker River nearby? Oh? I have the
- 1:27answer, the Potamac or Potomac River. Oh, yeah, that was part
- 1:33of That's what allowed him to be such a good president. Really, I
- 1:37don't know if he was or not. Well, a lot of people are
- 1:38doing like those cold baths and stuff right now, like cold pods and plunges.
- 1:42I wonder if that was he was onto something years ago. Here's an
- 1:45interesting fact. I never even thought about this, but Martin van Buren.
- 1:49This was a president, Martin van Buren. Yeah, he was the eighth
- 1:52president, and he was actually the first president to be born in the United
- 1:55States. Actually, isn't that funny to think about? Because everyone before they
- 1:59had just come over here from England had no idea. Right, you didn't
- 2:02even know about Van Buur been You're didn't know? No, Yeah, there's
- 2:08gangs named after him, the Van Buren Boys. Anyway, my goodness,
- 2:12I didn't know you were such a wealth of knowledge. Pipe here's my favorite
- 2:15one. Okay, John Tyler, who is the tenth President of the United
- 2:19States. John Tyler. Okay, born in seventeen ninety. He still has
- 2:23a living grandson. What yeah, yeah, Harrison Tyler is ninety three years
- 2:30old and he is the living grandson of the tenth President of the United st
- 2:36Okay. That's wild, isn't it. Raise So here's how it happens.
- 2:38John Tyler, who had fifteen children, the youngest. The father of the
- 2:42grandchild, he was sixty three years old when he had this kid. Okay,
- 2:45okay, So then the kid had the one that's living today when he
- 2:47was seventy five years old. Whoa, this is like de Niro stuff,
- 2:53right, So obviously the mother was much younger. But the fact that this
- 2:57dude's still walking around today knowing his grand and his papa was born in seventeen
- 3:02ninety, the tenth president of the US. Nobody would believe you. Is
- 3:07this the craziest thing you've ever heard? Do you have more? I mean,
- 3:10how many more do you want? Benjamin Benjamin Harrison was afraid of touching
- 3:15light switches. That's when I didn't know. I'm just starting to realize I
- 3:19don't really know a lot about presidents, because you're dropping some names right here
- 3:22and I'm going, huh. You know. The only reason I knew it
- 3:24is because growing up, my brother and I had these coffee mugs that had
- 3:28all the presidents on them, and so it was our favorite week. Wait,
- 3:30you had that many mugs. No, they were small fixtures, oh
- 3:38them. At that time there was like forty two president. You had like
- 3:40a cupboard of mugs like, oh today, I want We had the whole
- 3:45collection, give me ape today, No, come on now. So I
- 3:50had a lot of time drinking hot chocolate looking at the presidents. I feel
- 3:53like I need to call our boss and be like, you know, just
- 3:54because I'm so incompetent when it comes to presidents. I need the day off
- 3:58so I can do a little research. The thing about the Harrison guy I
- 4:01was just telling you about. He was a twenty third president, but he
- 4:03was the first one to live in an electrified white house. That's why he
- 4:06was so scared of light switches. What do you mean an electrified white house?
- 4:11Before him, there was no electricity. Oh, like real, I'm
- 4:15thinking there's like an electric chair shows that you could hear the White House just
- 4:19going like a minute in the morning, Big Nutty eight point seven. Time
- 4:28to play a little game we call is it weird? Where we admit to
- 4:30things that we do in our personal lives and which is not quite sure.
- 4:34Is it weird that we do that? Or is everyone else doing it too?
- 4:38And so, man, I was hoping anyway that you would lead us
- 4:41off today, Well, is it weird that I get angry when people filter
- 4:46their children on social media? And we're talking like the snapchat filters. I
- 4:51have a friend on social media who her kid is going to grow up thinking
- 4:56she's a cat. It's always like the cat ears all that stuff, and
- 5:00you just know that you're probably saving these There's gonna come a point in your
- 5:03life that you're gonna regret that you don't really have any real pictures of your
- 5:09children. Well, how do you know that? Though I don't know,
- 5:11kids love the filters. You know that's fine, that's the most fun they
- 5:15have. When I'm in there with my nephew and you got snapchat filters going
- 5:17everyone, it's like it's the first time he's ever seen a filter. He
- 5:20goes nuts, catt ears. Are you kidding? So, but that's fun
- 5:24for you because you're usually babysitting, you know what I mean, doing your
- 5:27things, so's it's keeping them entertained. And it's like, oh, you're
- 5:30being the funk. Call hey, let's put like the broccoli on your head,
- 5:32that kind of thing, broccoli on my head. That's one of the
- 5:36filters. But that's crazy. It seriously enrages me when I see people putting
- 5:42all these different filters on their pictures and all this stuff with families and kids
- 5:46and especially the kids. Is it a problem with the kids or are you
- 5:50just mad that you have a friend who is constantly putting cattiers on them because
- 5:55they think it makes them look better, right, well yeah, or like
- 5:57makes you look like you have like a flawless face, or you have you
- 6:00know, I don't know, it's it's all of those things. I actually
- 6:03just saw. Chloe Kardashian is just getting ridiculed on social media right now because
- 6:09she says she doesn't face tune anything. And she has this gray cat that
- 6:13has blue eyes and in every picture it's like your normal eyes. And then
- 6:17now in some of her pictures, this cat looks like he has like all
- 6:20like you can tell she's face tuning your cat. At what point are you,
- 6:24poor cat, just losing your mind. I'll tell you what. I
- 6:29found a filter here where I'm Batman and we're on Facebook. And how crazy
- 6:31is that? I mean, now you're talking okay anyway, Yeah, I'm
- 6:35gonna say that's weird. I think you have some secure personal issues. I
- 6:39just saw the video that you look great as Batman, but I don't know.
- 6:43It just drives me nuts. Maybe this is more of a PSA with
- 6:46Hey, it's okay. Let your kids or you. You just get to
- 6:49a point in your life. You don't need all the filters and stuff.
- 6:51Nobody's fooled by it. You'll look goofy. Well, it doesn't affect you,
- 6:57a man, So just it's weird. Thank you for what do you
- 7:00mean? What's it's a youth problem? All right? A man? Is
- 7:02it weird that I don't ever use a toni al clipper? No? No
- 7:08does If you I'll tell you what I do. Please stop, tell you
- 7:11what I do? No no no, no, no no no no.
- 7:14It's not that I don't clean them up. I just tear them off with
- 7:16what pike I can't even look at you because if you tell me what I
- 7:19think you're about to tell you right now, what do you want me?
- 7:23I use my fingers, I use my fingernail. Promise, promise, that
- 7:27is what do you think I'm using my mouth? Yes, I'm not gonna
- 7:30say I haven't done that, not as an adult. But I guess a
- 7:32kid just a gross my siblings out or something. So my son just learned
- 7:35how to grab his foot and he was doing that with his and you know,
- 7:40me and feet not a thing. It's not a thing. So he's
- 7:44chewing his big tone off with it, and so I'm like, okay,
- 7:47we don't do that. And so last night after bath, I went and
- 7:50cleaned them all up and I'm like, I mean, and he's getting in
- 7:55there with that bag. That's just part of becoming an adult. Those are
- 8:00things everyone does it once you go, oh wow, I didn't know I
- 8:03was able to do this. This is crazy. You might do it for
- 8:05a while. For me and my kids, it was years, but I
- 8:07don't know not anymore. I know I tear off my finger my toenails.
- 8:11Is that weird? Yeah? I think so, Lott, get it out
- 8:15of your head. That I'm putting it up to my pouth. I'm just
- 8:16vision. I mean, you're probably still pretty limber from yours. I think
- 8:20that's just the problem. I think that's why I stopped doing it, because
- 8:22I became less flexible. Should I try to get my toe, I'm gonna
- 8:26take my shoe off. I'm gonna try. Do not take your shoe off.
- 8:28True, you can try it with your shoe on. Can you see
- 8:31right now? Scoop back and see if you can put your foot. I
- 8:35think, oh, you know, you're getting No, you're getting a little.
- 8:39We're also wearing jeans, but you're getting close. If I had my
- 8:43yoga pants on, I'd surely be out to get Amanda in the morning.
- 8:48See ninety seven Amanda Stills the Sea. Look See Jennifer Aniston awarded Adam Sandler
- 8:56with the Icon Award at the People's Choice Awards, And just they're dynamic in
- 9:00general. And I don't know if you ever heard the story or not,
- 9:03but I knew they were friends, but I didn't know how close they were.
- 9:05Jennifer Aniston when she said she had infertility issues. I believe it was
- 9:11last Mother's Day dish that Adam Sandler every single year because he knew she was
- 9:16going through it, would send her a bouquet of flowers on Mother's Day because
- 9:18he knew it was so hard on her. Oh, for all of those
- 9:20years. I'm like, that is just the sweetest. He just seems like
- 9:24the best guy, the Sandman, the same Jesse, one of the all.
- 9:28I mean, he was in that golden era of comedians in my opinion
- 9:31anyway of you know, Will Ferrell, Jim Carrey, and for me,
- 9:35out of all of those, he's the best and still just funny. So
- 9:39when my agent called me and said I won the People's Choice Icon Award,
- 9:41I was driving. I had him on speakerphone and I was also eating frosted
- 9:46flakes, and I think I misheard him. I thought he said, I
- 9:52congratulations, Adam, you won the People Magazine Sexiest Man Alive. So,
- 9:56and I don't have one prepared for the Icon thing, but I'm gonna do
- 10:01the speech I wrote, and because they said, I got to talk a
- 10:03few minutes. So let's get to it. Hello, ladies and gentleman,
- 10:07my name is Adam Sandler, and I am the sexiest man alive. Can
- 10:11I get a hell here? If you get a chance to pull up the
- 10:16entire thing. If you miss the People's Choice Awards last night, just definitely
- 10:20worth it. He's just if you have a character but a good guy.
- 10:22Who do you think if you had to pick, like their top five movies,
- 10:26who do you think who's got the best five? I'm going to Adam
- 10:30Sandler because I was more of the rom com for me. Jim Carrey's were
- 10:33too cheesy, he was a little obnoxious for me. Will Ferrell, eh
- 10:37Like, I would go Adam Sandler, Will Ferrell, then Jim Carrey.
- 10:41Noah, where are you going? Well, I would go probably the complete
- 10:45opposite. I'd probably go Ferrell, Jim Carrey then and Adam Sandler. Listen,
- 10:48Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore like the best, Like some of my favorite
- 10:52movie fifty first Dates, that early is funny. I mean it's still good,
- 10:56but it's not even like the humor. It's just like I said,
- 10:58I'm coming, which I'm curious, versus like, alrighty then acevent all that
- 11:05I watched it Oka. Those are silly. I get what. They're hilarious,
- 11:09but like Dumb and Dumber and Liar Liar incredible films, they're funny,
- 11:13but they're just good movies. Those two were fine. They're fine, She
- 11:16says, they're fine. Those will do all right. Usher recalls that he
- 11:20won a bidding war with Justin Timberlake to sign Justin Bieber. So, I
- 11:24guess back in two thousand and eight, Justin Bieber, Scooter Brown, they're
- 11:26hanging out and they he had options. It was either you're gonna sign on
- 11:31with Usher or Justin Timber. Imagine if Bieber was what fifteen fourteen, not
- 11:37even that, yeah, and you got Justin Timberlake and Usher fighting over you.
- 11:41Well, what ended up happening is Usher said, uh, this is
- 11:45this is good. Usher. I like what you did here. He said,
- 11:48if you go with Justin, you're not gonna be you know, Justin,
- 11:52You're not even the best Justin exactly, So you'd just be another Justin.
- 11:56So ultimately we know what happened. He signed with Usher. He said,
- 11:58they're there's no hard feelings anywhere. But I like that little nugget.
- 12:03How we didn't know the behind the scenes of that. Bieber was the nugget.
- 12:07Like that, he was a little nugget back in the day. And
- 12:11in a new interview, Sylvester Saloon's two daughters, so they have a reality
- 12:15show, and they're much like the Kardashians. I mean, these girls are
- 12:18just gorgeous. They are admitting interesting because I feel like his jeans wouldn't transfer
- 12:24well to a woman. They must have got a lot of their mom or
- 12:28something. So he is doing everything he can to give the Rocky Balboa vibes
- 12:31to his kids, because the twenty five and twenty seven year old daughters sat
- 12:35down for an interview and said that he actually hired a Navy seal to train
- 12:39them before they moved to New York City. He said it or they went
- 12:43on to say, it was the hardest. I mean about six hours a
- 12:46day they were in the woods doing military esque things. What to Rocky,
- 12:50Why's it got to be in the woods? You know they make these like
- 12:52really nice gym gyms now, guys, it don't have to be hanging from
- 12:56a wooden rafter went on to say that it was like rigorous routine ups,
- 13:00push ups, pull ups and clean and jerks. What are clean and jerks?
- 13:03You can use and then you jerk. It's more of a you know,
- 13:07like if you do like a what the deadlifts, Well, that's a
- 13:11that's a part of it. You know that's like the first motion. What
- 13:13is the little the fitness group? What do you call that? The people?
- 13:16Really intense fitness like a stamp cross cross fit? Thank you. You
- 13:22would do a lot of that in CrossFit, didn't you CrossFit one time?
- 13:26I think I did one or two times and then then walk for a week
- 13:30and you never went No, no proaps of them. I just yeah,
- 13:33absolutely, I'm more of a bike girl these days, easy on the k
- 13:41in the morning, big nu. I would say all criminals are dumb to
- 13:46some regard, right, this one, though Amanda, stood out to me
- 13:48is probably the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Okay, this guy, this
- 13:50guy's driving drunk, not a good idea, not smart, not smart,
- 13:54but he did it. Well. He gets to a gas station. Okay,
- 13:58so he's not been pulled over yet, hasn't hurt anybody. But when
- 14:01he gets to this gas station, he decides to park in a handicap spot.
- 14:05He's already infuriating in general. Well that's why he gets the police calling
- 14:11on him. So police arrived at this gas station where they start questioning this
- 14:13guy. And here's the incredible part to me is that these officers, even
- 14:18though the guy was so drunk that the cops were called on him. They
- 14:20said, hey, dude, here's your option. Get a ride home and
- 14:24you'll be fine, or we're gonna have to arrest you if you get back
- 14:26in your vehicle and try to drive. I feel like that is some small
- 14:30town stuff. When you know the police officer, it's like, do you
- 14:31want me to give you a ride home, Amanda or kid. They stopped
- 14:35short of offering a ride from them, but still, and this guy just
- 14:41couldn't leave well enough alone. So he starts arguing with them for some reason,
- 14:46and then given those options, he takes the third option, which is
- 14:50let's go crazy. Okay, gotcha. So then the unbelievable part is he
- 14:56picks up his cell phone as he's arguing with the and he calls nine one
- 15:01one to report the police. I don't know. I mean, I we
- 15:11shouldn't be laughing at this, but this is a story to tell, a
- 15:16story to tell. Do we have the nine one audio of this guy calling
- 15:20the police on the police, No, we don't, unfortunately, but it
- 15:24was just him complaining about the officers. He didn't have any actual crime he
- 15:28was reporting. He just overall he just was that they were razzing him.
- 15:31It's a little grief, yeah, kind of like kind of like semi trucks.
- 15:35It says, how well how am I driving? He was calling in
- 15:37to report how the police were police? Got it, got it, got
- 15:41and how did it end for this guy? Believe it or not, they
- 15:43ended up retracting their offer in a way because they did end up giving him
- 15:48a ride, but got it. Yes to prison with some platinum cups on
- 15:52Oh yeah, yeah, the old chauffeur. Do we know how drunk he
- 15:56was? Did they give a blood alcohol level here? It just says drunk
- 16:00enough. So yeah. I mean, they gave you a lot of options
- 16:06in the morning on Big Disney on ice coming to the far of it,
- 16:14doome. I'm gonna be super fun for the family, for the kiddos,
- 16:15and we got four tickets for you to win right now. In fact,
- 16:18all week you have chances to win. So just keep listening. Let's get
- 16:22caller nine on the phone. Good morning. Who is this? This is
- 16:25Jordi? Oh Jordy, that's a cool thing. Is your name Jordan or
- 16:27is it actually Jordy? Actually Jordi? I like it, I love it.
- 16:30Good news Jordy or caller nine, assuming you have a couple of kids.
- 16:36I do. Yeah, awesome. Were you happen to be named after
- 16:38packer legend Jordy Nelson? I don't think so. I think that my parents
- 16:44name me after a drummer, actually Winter, Jordi. I'm not sure,
- 16:47Jeordi the drummer. Huh. Well, Jordy, here's the deal. Since
- 16:52it is President's Day, I know that has nothing to do with Disney on
- 16:55Ice, but it's how we're gonna give you a chance to win the tickets.
- 16:57I'm gonna name five games, and Amanda has to guess whether or not
- 17:03he was a president or not. Okay, oh gosh, Jordy think this
- 17:08would be easy for me, but I'm a little nervous. She has to
- 17:11get four of the five correct in order for you to win these dise on
- 17:15ice tickets. Okay, okay, all right, so here we go,
- 17:18Amana. Jordy's fate and her children's fate are in your hands. I've never
- 17:22felt this kind of pressure before I named the name. You tell me is
- 17:26it a president or no? First up, Amanda, Benjamin Franklin not a
- 17:30president? Not a president? Correct? Thank you, thank you, thank
- 17:36you. Yes, she's one for one, Jordy, So far, so
- 17:37good. Name number two Colonel Sanders President or no, no, but I
- 17:45sure do want to bucket a KFC. That's a no. I'm going no,
- 17:48that's correct, that's correct, should have been you ask me, all
- 17:52right, Amanda. Name number three Herbert Hoover, Oh the Hoover myser,
- 17:59for sure, press it in. You're going president, the vacuum guy.
- 18:00Yeah, you got it, the vacuum guy, Jordy. She only has
- 18:06to get one more crack for you to win these Disney on Ice tickets.
- 18:07You feel pretty good? Yes, a lot easier than I thought. Thank
- 18:11you for putting Colonel Sanders on the list to help me out here, But
- 18:17I was just hoping get it wrong. All right? Finally, Amanda,
- 18:22Charles Dickens, that author of that classic novel Dickens. Yeah. Yeah,
- 18:30Dickens wrote a novel called Dickens. It's a biography Charles Dicketts President or no,
- 18:37no, no, President? Are you serious? What book is it,
- 18:45Jordy? Do you know the book that Dickens wrote? Nos? Fan,
- 18:53I think it was a Christmas Carol? Okay, with that tiny tim
- 18:56and whatnot? Jordy, good news, you won the tickets. Oh,
- 19:02now, here's what you need to know. Authorities in West Barga are warning
- 19:06residents in the area to stay off ice over retention ponds. I think a
- 19:10lot of people now because a lot of the ice rinks and the skating areas
- 19:12and stuff like that are closed down because the weather is so warm, people
- 19:17are starting to go over to the retention ponds, like, you know,
- 19:18like you a little skating here. They're saying, no, it can look
- 19:21very deceiving, so let's just stay off of them. They off the ice
- 19:25kids. Yeah, not a good situation. You're a local ice rink where
- 19:27it's only a few inches deep, and someone in Florida. I can't even
- 19:33imagine if this was me and even finding out in a month or a year
- 19:37whatever it is that you had a thirty six million dollar Mega Millions lottery ticket
- 19:44that expired. So they ended up having to forfeit this. You have one
- 19:48hundred and eighty days to claim it, so they probably just threw it away.
- 19:51They may never know the fact though, that at some point you could
- 19:53go, hey, it was in a pair of jeans that you had more
- 19:57nor a vest or stuff, and yes, and you look at it and
- 20:00you're like, oh, I'm gonna just take a peek, and you realize
- 20:03it was a winner, and then you go back and do some research and
- 20:06realize it was a thirty six million dollar mega million I take it. I
- 20:08don't know how I would react. It would be bad. I would start
- 20:11doing some really crazy desperate stuff, like I'd probably start robbing banks things like
- 20:15that, just doing anything to sort of try to get some of it back.
- 20:19I mean, of course I would end up in prison. I would
- 20:22be I couldn't live with myself. I would be just sick, that is.
- 20:26I mean, your whole life would have been different. Your whole life
- 20:29would have been different. Oh man, all right, President's Day today?
- 20:32Were you going to dress up as a pres today? If I remember right,
- 20:36I think we had a little side combo last week about it. I
- 20:37did mention potentially putting on my Benjamin Franklin costume, which of course is one
- 20:42of the most famous presidents. Do you have a favorite President Washington? I
- 20:47always I that's such a lazy, no, it is. Remember when you
- 20:49used to go and stay in hotels and go to a pool, and then
- 20:52you'd go under well, I guess I had long hair. You'd go under
- 20:55water and then you'd put your flip your hair up and act like you were
- 20:57a Washington. I don't remember that your hair. Your sister never did that.
- 21:02I never remember coming up from the pool going Washington. It was after
- 21:07a real fun game of Marco Polo in the pool. No, you know,
- 21:11swimming really is a good history lesson between Marco polo pastime, like a
- 21:18minute in the morning, Big Natty eight point seven. I mean, you
- 21:19know, we're both married, so these dating tips aren't really useful for us.
- 21:23However, when I do find a good one, I like to pass
- 21:26it along to people who are in the dating world, because a couple of
- 21:29friends that are single and ready to mingle, got a great way for them
- 21:32to meet people, and it's not via dating apps. Because you know,
- 21:34dating app fatigue is a thing, right people sure they're just done with them.
- 21:38They think they've seen everybody on the app. It's just not working out.
- 21:41So going back to some more traditional ways of meeting people. You know,
- 21:45back in our day was you gotta go out, you got to you
- 21:47gotta go to the bar, you gotta go. You know. Just had
- 21:49this conversation with one of my girlfriends over the weekend about you really do have
- 21:52to put yourself out there, right, and it does get probably way harder
- 21:56the older you get, because yeah, you might go to a hat y
- 22:00hour or something, but what are the chances somebody else is going to be
- 22:03at happy hour where you can interact. It's not like an interactive situation.
- 22:07Usually it was bar time, you know what I mean, or when you
- 22:10have you're feeling a little loosey goosey, or you meet on the dance floor.
- 22:12Other than that, where do you meet people? Actually organic situations where
- 22:18you just know somebody through somebody where you kind of spend time in a group
- 22:22together and you're like, hey, who was this person and then you start
- 22:23to you know, get their number whatever. Well there's a new trend though
- 22:26among young singles where they're signing up for running clubs and meeting people there.
- 22:33They're finding that to be very successful. Interesting, all right, I could
- 22:37see that. I guess you ever done a running club? So do you
- 22:40remember, actually you were a part of it. My when my mom passed
- 22:44away, one of the things I wanted to do. I was just like,
- 22:47in a moment, I'm like, I want to run a ten k,
- 22:48And so I did the training bras is what we called it. So
- 22:52it was like people who had never ran before, which was me, and
- 22:55then we ended up running the ten k. You ran the ten k.
- 22:56You were part of it. You keep getting I remember joining a group called
- 23:00training bras. I think you just were hanging with me. I remember running
- 23:06the ten k. I remember your being there. Yeah, you might have
- 23:07left me in the dust, but yeah, yeah, okay, anyway,
- 23:12but we got together. You did not train with us, but but again
- 23:15that was girls. Did you wear bras? We did, yes, but
- 23:21in a shirt or did you just wear bras? No, it was that
- 23:23was the name of It was kind of a joke in a training bras what
- 23:26a child would wear, right, you're really thinking into this way too much.
- 23:30I don't know. It's kind of an awkward name it is. I
- 23:33mean, I get you're trying to be silly, but it worked. It
- 23:37was just a running group. Yes, but you called her train But I
- 23:38don't remember there being any guys a part of it. Clearly you didn't show
- 23:41up for the training bros like I was part of the team. Take a
- 23:45Man in the morning. Seven the worst kind of criminals and they're all bad,
- 23:51but the worst ones are the ones where you don't understand the motive.
- 23:53Like this woman here, I would say she's up there, and I haven't
- 23:56watched America's Most Wanted in some time. I don't even know if it's still
- 23:59on, but she's gotta be up there on the list of America's Most Wanted
- 24:03because she's on the run right now. But there are photographs of this woman
- 24:07stealing eighteen hundred dollars worth of gum from a store. Gum only, so
- 24:14she went to one store and sold eighteen hundred dollars Or she's like a gum
- 24:18thief and she's just every time she needs gas, she just pops in and
- 24:22steals gum and she's just on a haul. Well, Amanda, nobody can
- 24:26say for sure. Police aren't trying to trace her back to previous gum thefts
- 24:30that have gone unsolved in the area. Now the woman, they don't know
- 24:34why, is stealing gum in particular, they say, Normally crimes that are
- 24:40retail theft. You see people stealing the higher price items like razors, baby
- 24:45formula, gum though not even close to the highest price. Probably just do
- 24:51you think it just real bad breath? Do we know what kind of gum,
- 24:53because that also is going to be pretty telling. Is it like a
- 24:56bazooka bubble tape? Is it big league chew? Would you even would you
- 25:03even falter if she was trying to get out of there with a bunch of
- 25:06big league chew? When's the last time? I mean some big league chew?
- 25:10The best throwing I remember just going to my dad's softball games back and
- 25:14more had grown up. You were so cool throwing a big chaw of big
- 25:18league chew in your mouth. Fun fact, I cannot stand bubble gum,
- 25:21like just the flavor taste of it, anything but bubble tape when you just
- 25:23like take it all out and you put a little bit oh what do you
- 25:27mean? Just gross? Like what is the powder that kind of goes and
- 25:33it's on like a few too. Yeah, you like to make it last
- 25:36double bubble. The reason I attribute my strong muscular jaw as an adult is
- 25:42chewing on a couple of pieces of double bubble growing up? Did you ever
- 25:48like try to put the whole big league chew in your mouth? And did?
- 25:52I? Yes? I mean, of course I have to be ridiculous.
- 25:55Now we know her motive. She's just a big rascal. She likes
- 25:59having fun, you know, severe surveillance photos they're not the clearest thing.
- 26:03So it's hard to decipher what kind of gum specifically, you know, to
- 26:07me, it kind of looks like maybe like a juicy fruit. Oh,
- 26:11juicy fruit of all? I mean that would be do you remember that?
- 26:15And it was always what did it? I always feel like it was like
- 26:18the heart, it was hard, like no matter what, you never got
- 26:21a soft piece of juicy you did. I don't know what changed the consistence
- 26:25yet, because you're right, sometimes it would be it would break apart,
- 26:27yes, and then you have to like really, and you'd lose the flavor
- 26:32within a second. Which also again, maybe she is juicy fruit's a good
- 26:34pick because it loses its flavor so fast that she needs to take eighteen hundred
- 26:40dollars worth. Yeah, she can't afford. But she has bad breadth and
- 26:44she has self confidence issues at work? Will we making excuses for this kleptomania?
- 26:51I just try to, you know, I just make an effort to
- 26:52try to understand people and why they are the way they are. And I
- 26:55think we we nailed it here with the gum thief. Do you think she's
- 26:59just blowing bubbles some of those gums. You can't. You can't blow bubbles
- 27:02with juicy for it? Would you? We got to get some gum in
- 27:04here. I want to blow up. I can't remember the last time it
- 27:07had like just a good piece of gum and I was snapping bubbles and how
- 27:11annoying obnoxious. What's the biggest bubble you ever blew? I blew one one
- 27:15time, the size of my head in the morning, big night. But
- 27:25there was a survey down to find out how people prioritize what they would save
- 27:30in the event of a fire. Have you gotten through this with like the
- 27:33kiddos, like just get out, you know, don't be grabbing your dolls
- 27:36and whatnot. Stop drop roll like all of that kind of stuff. If
- 27:38you're on fire, you don't need to roll out of the house. That's
- 27:42not the optimal, most efficient way to get it. If you smell smoke,
- 27:47just stop dropping roll. No, you don't we really ever, I
- 27:51haven't had this, And now that we're talking about this, I don't even
- 27:52know if we have like a fire safe case for all of our important document
- 27:56You have to have like a meeting place you work on that. But I
- 28:00want to go over this survey, and this is a survey of what people
- 28:03are prioritizing from least important to most important to save in a fire. Okay,
- 28:07okay. Now the funny thing about the survey it was done in Australia,
- 28:11so some of the things may be Australia specific. Okay, kangaroos and
- 28:17such or what you'll see, gotcha. Starting with the least important thing that
- 28:22would be saved on a property fire, a shed. You can let the
- 28:27shed go. Yeah, that's usually full of shed stuff, you know what
- 28:32I mean, the shovels and the got it yep, hose and things like
- 28:36that. Next to a shed was the house itself. Yep. People would
- 28:41yep replaceable. That's why you got insurance. Next to that would be amazingly
- 28:47above the house, a tree, Amanda. People would save a tree over
- 28:52a house or a shed. See. And I actually, depending on where
- 28:56you live, if you have a place full of trees. My stepdad last
- 28:59year he cut down, we cut down this big, huge tree over by
- 29:02the garden and I don't think the property has looked the same ever since at
- 29:06all. Like now, remember when that tornado hit Wodina, Are right?
- 29:10I went, that's where I went to school, grew up. When you're
- 29:11driving in from the one side of town, it just looks totally different,
- 29:15like it's just make it old difference, Yeah, exactly. Then above tree.
- 29:22Amazingly people Amanda would save a rock in a property fire. You know,
- 29:26it's hard to find a good rock. I don't think I have any
- 29:30any rocks that are never No, it was a big rock guy growing up
- 29:33where you loved rocks, loved coolik and rocks, and that, like,
- 29:37of all the hobbies to get into, that was the best because they're everywhere.
- 29:41So wouldn't a rock sustain a fire? You would think? So kind
- 29:45of wondering about that, like, couldn't you polish it off if there was
- 29:48one that you really Probably And now here's where it gets very Australia. The
- 29:53survey of things people would prioritize in a fire. Next up that people would
- 29:57save our snails, deep wallabies and koalas in that order. Imagine cats,
- 30:06dogs, it wallabies in their homes. Uh. Possibly, you just never
- 30:11know the things that people would say the most. So number two was a
- 30:15person ignoring advice to evacuate. Okay, so somebody who knew that they should
- 30:21be getting out of there, but they were staying. So that's the second
- 30:23most important thing. Somebody would still save over your animals the house itself.
- 30:29Of course, you're going to save a person, and then the number one,
- 30:32of course, is a person that was not warned and is oblivious to
- 30:36what's going on. I am shocked that there's not anything else. I'm trying
- 30:41to think of what I have in my home. My husband will probably go
- 30:45for his deer antlers or something ridiculous. I think those could last two.
- 30:48You think those might be able to I don't know what they're made out of,
- 30:52but I think firefighters. I think obviously number one priority is people,
- 30:56of course, But then wouldn't they start saving the structure the house for they
- 31:00would save animals? No? Is that right? No, you got to
- 31:03go animals first. I know that's your heart saying that. I guess.
- 31:07I'm pretty sure they. I think they will for every living object. Maybe
- 31:11not a goldfish, but for sure because they're risking their lives. Amanda,
- 31:15do you really you really go in if it's an animal? Really truly depends
- 31:21on the situation and if the structure is ready to implo. Here's a situation
- 31:26houses on fire, But I'd say, like, do you have ten minutes
- 31:32before it gets to the place or is it you know this steer, did
- 31:36you ever watch Chicago Fire? No? You see. Yes, it's giving
- 31:41me anxiety thinking about it. You know how quickly a house can you think?
- 31:45It's not it's certainly it's your toast because you went in to save the
- 31:48goldfish. I just don't know, man, I think maybe somebody knows.
- 31:52Thank you though for bringing this up, because we have not had a family
- 31:55meeting in our house about a fire and evacuation process because we're all on the
- 32:00same level, all upstairs. Yeah, you gotta have that. So it's
- 32:01like, because as of now, you're gonna have a five year old trying
- 32:05to roll her way out of the house even though she's not on fire.
