Salt Lake County just confirmed its first human case of West Nile Virus this year — a lucky break, as the adult is expected to fully recover. With mosquito traps already catching the virus in 86 samples locally and 296 statewide — a massive jump from last year’s 39 — health officials are sounding the alarm.
