  [upbeat music] Ah.
• 0:16
Hey, coming to you from the in-studio studio at the Everyday Cycle Shop in Milwaukee's Riverwest neighborhood. This is unscripted, unrehearsed, and unapologetic- Damn, skinny... radio in your ear.
• 0:29
It's the Full Spectrum Cycling Podcast with Sven and JK. What up, everybody? How do you dig that little jingle there? Very much so. Ding, ding, ding. It's on the new Gizmotron. It's the preloaded, uh, intro track.
• 0:44
All right. Is, is, is this courtesy of, uh, El- Cur- courtesy of Rode, the guys- Oh... that make the Gizmotron. Oh, gotcha. [laughs] This is an attempt to get rid of that big pile of crap behind me.
• 0:56
[laughs] It's all in this little magic box. [laughs] Oh, yes. Yes, now I see. The RodeCaster Pro, ladies and gentlemen. There you go. So yeah, yeah, yeah, back in the studio here. Mm-hmm. Yes, licking wounds- [laughs]
• 1:13
... of [laughs] finding where different bruises have landed themselves in the course of since our last little podcast. Our [laughs] Yeah, there was a little bit of ice out there over last couple of days. Yes, indeed.
• 1:27
Yeah. It was kinda the first snow, and I thought it was gonna be [tsks] you know, just melting on contact and not freezing over, but then more time elapsed and I was in a hurry.
• 1:40
Yeah, and the- I had, I had to get to the... I had to get my Chinese food before 10:00. [laughs] And swum out, right? Whip. [clicking tongue] But still made it on time. That was the important part. Dig.
• 1:51
[laughs] So there was a ride recently. Oh, yes. The wonderful, stumbling- Annual use of a picture ride. Exactly. Where I would have a little, little flashback looking back at the St.
• 2:05
Mary's [laughs] house as we're standing [laughs] like... There always has to be some sort of calamity. It was, um- At least this was more minor calam- a series of- Yeah... minor calamities. Minor. Yeah.
• 2:15
Entertaining calamities. Yes, yes. I know that your, um, your big calamity showed up, it was eight years ago. Yes, I did. I noticed. [laughs] I saw a couple pictures. No, I think I, I think I sent it to you.
• 2:26
Yeah, that was eight years ago. [laughs] Yes, that was a wonderful thing of, uh- Where he became bionic Mike. Yeah. The magic of the face place to remind you. [laughs] Right. Put a pin in that.
• 2:36
I'm like, [snaps fingers] "Oh, yeah, that's when I g- left the hospital, returned to the bar, and [laughs] still had a very dazed look in my face."
• 2:43
[laughs] If it weren't for Facebook, I don't know if I'd remember anything. [laughs] Yeah, indeed. Yeah. At least I couldn't put the timestamp on most anything. It would always be in the ish world of 5 to 10 probably.
• 2:56
[laughs] Yeah. I mean, close enough for who it's for. Yeah, exactly. Exactly. So we had a really good turnout for the ride. I was, uh, pretty impressed. Yes.
• 3:05
I don't know, 20 some people-ish, I would imagine, came in and out of the... Going down and seeing the Polar Bear people plunge into the lake. Yes, [laughs] that was damn entertaining. Yeah.
• 3:15
I stayed far, far enough away, 'cause apparently if you got close enough, you'd get a little kiss of the lake- Yeah... from either the splash or it was pretty damn windy, or the waves were kicking pretty good.
• 3:26
And if Big Casey didn't toss you in. [laughs] Yes, and I also have tread lightly upon his embrace. I was like, "Please don't pick me up and carry me over there."
• 3:37
[laughs] Yeah, mostly fat bike riders, but there were, uh, there were cross people, there were extra cycle people, there were troll people. Yeah, yeah. So a nice, uh, cross-section- Yeah... of biking bicycles.
• 3:52
Yeah, exactly. And took a little spin up the, you know, the part of Bradford you can actually beach ride on. [laughs] Yeah, it's, it's the quarter mile long beach we can currently access- [laughs]...
• 4:05
before you get to water again. That's why I didn't mind going back and forth, and forth and back. I'm like, "I don't get an opportunity [laughs] to get on a beach often." Right.
• 4:13
Yeah, and it was a little bit icy in some spots, which were- [laughs] Entertaining... entertaining. [laughs] It reactivated, uh, another bruise or two. The, the pirouetting and the- Yes.
• 4:26
It, uh, I mean, you know, I guess I, I'll take my lumps on that. I mean, we've made enough fun of it that [laughs] we- We do... we deserve to, like, get our own, like, mini-pirouettes here and there.
• 4:36
Whereas you did a half one. I was a- You did hit the ground. It was, it was a standup. Yeah, exactly. A standup pirouette. Yes, yes. That's how, that's how it's done. Right. Correctly. Not the whip.
• 4:49
[laughs] Well- At least the, these weren't, uh, trying to unlock a bike. [laughs] And there was that entertaining, you know, 30 seconds of the 28-minute video that Dave did.
• 4:58
[laughs] Cue it up to six minutes, 20 seconds, and then watch for about- A minute... another minute. Yeah. [laughs] Yeah, yeah. It was a good one. Um, I think we should do that again next year. Oh, yes. Most definitely.
• 5:12
It reminded me that my cold weather gear is always, uh, something I've gotta pay attention to based on the conditions, and also was very fortunate to have thought ahead enough to throw an extra set of gloves in the backpack.
• 5:25
Ah, there you go. Yeah. Yeah, I kinda o- I overdid it on the way down there just because I know I'm gonna not like it from... I mean, 'cause you're just standing around for, like, a good hour and- Oh, yeah...
• 5:38
that gets cold. Yep. [laughs] Yeah, it's, uh- And you wanna ride, but- Well you-... there's too many humans there to get in the way. You gotta hold your beer somehow. Yes, exactly.
• 5:48
And then I learned that I still have to keep an eye on my bag [laughs] when I do that, for I was the recipient of yet another rock- Oh.
• 5:59
[laughs]The annual, the rock-giving Yes, and this one was accompanied by a nice, big handful of sand, which are still residing in the side of my bag right now. Thank you, Mr. Nielsen.
• 6:09
He, he, he, he really claims he didn't do it. I don't know if I believe him, but- Could've, could've been any, [laughs] anybody else, too. Oh, exactly. He was just very impressed that it...
• 6:19
He was like, "I swear I didn't do it, but I, I'm so glad someone did." [laughs] With friends like these, I tell you. True that. [laughs] Don't need no dang old dang enemies, man.
• 6:31
[laughs] Yeah, if this is the worst that occurs, all is well. Yeah, so that was a, a good, um, New Year, New Year ride. New Year Day- Day... ride. Right. Yeah. Right.
• 6:47
So I know, uh, Mr. Berger, I thought Mr. Berger was gonna stop in tonight, and we were gon- gonna talk about his, um, everyday ride. Oh, yes, the resolution. The New Year's- The revolution... resolution. The revolution.
• 6:59
Revolution. [laughs] I, well, he was... You know, the whole thing is to ride at least every day somewhere on your bike, whether it's long or short, to the store, around the block, down a big, long ride, whatever.
• 7:11
Exactly. Just to get out on it every day. I know our friend, um, Mark Peterson out in, in, uh, Salt Lake City area has done that before, and it's a good goal, man. It's a good goal. Yeah, I mean, I end up...
• 7:24
I just commute to work every day, so- Right... I'm already kinda pre-loaded in a lot of those, but- But what happens when you're- Sometimes, I've, I have good streaks. I mean- Like, what's...
• 7:35
Well, when you're sick, what do you do? Just go out just for a quick lap around the block just to keep the thing going? I guess, or just go up and down a driveway or- Something... something.
• 7:43
[laughs] Or ride on your roof like Mark. [laughs] Well, yeah, there's that.
• 7:46
[laughs] I was gonna ask Tony on, his opinion on, like, if you're out of town and you don't take your bike because you're working or you're traveling, does a, a, a spin trainer, uh, count? Hell yes. Not...
• 7:58
Or do you have to go rent a bike, or find one, or steal one, or? Yeah, just gently borrow. Yeah. [laughs] I'm just gonna be going around the block, man. Don't worry about it. Or, uh- Or, or maybe not even that.
• 8:08
Just even if it's locked up, just as long as you get your ass on the saddle. 'Cause mine will already be- And spin one direction or the other [laughs] and go, "Wee-coo, wee-coo," okay, I did it.
• 8:17
[laughs] I mean, mine'll already be broken on the 6th because I'm not gonna be here, and my bike isn't going with me, unless I can use the hotel's, uh, spin trainy thingy- There you go... as, as cycling.
• 8:29
I'm gonna say yes at this point, until Tony chimes in- [laughs]... and says, "You're wrong. You gotta go outside." Yeah. I think I'd drag it outside and stick it by the pool there in Las Vegas and, uh- Oh, yeah.
• 8:39
There you have it. Yeah. Yeah, I- I, I saw a similar, uh, thing, I can't remember what...
• 8:45
I don't know if it was Step into Liquid or Riding Giants, about this one guy, and he would get out and surf every day, and did it for, shit, like, 25 years. Something, something out of control.
• 9:00
Even, you know, sick, Christmas, everything, da, da, da, da, da. You know, he's like, "Ah, I don't care. I just got to be out there, at least for one rave, one wave."
• 9:09
Yeah, there's so, there's some guys out there for sure that I've met in the past that have managed to do this for many, many, many years.
• 9:15
I, I don't know if, um, Scott Dixon still has the record, but seems to me it was something like, I don't know, 25 years without ever missing a day or something to that effect.
• 9:25
[laughs] Yeah, I, I may have had on the- It was long, very long. Yeah, there are some days where you just, I can't. I can't. [laughs] Just can't.
• 9:34
So the resolution is to do it, the reality is that it's gonna get really close. Yeah. [laughs] I mean, so, like, today, I got on the Seed and pedaled it back to my Jeep to [laughs] put it in there.
• 9:49
So technically, the streak hasn't even broken on the, on day two yet. Not yet. [laughs] I was able to pull that off. Yep, we got JK's rig sitting in the shop here.
• 9:58
It's gonna get its winter feet on with studs and whatnot. Yes, that [laughs] Might've been handy for yesterday. Yeah, exactly, or today, or tonight even
• 10:08
on the, the classy-looking, uh, I don't trust it out there right now. Yeah. At least with the studs I'd have that at least mental state of mind going, "I'm studded," so.
• 10:21
I know it's very much mental as well as practical, but yeah. They do do the job when needed. Yes, indeed. So that will be... Maybe that's our post-show job. We'll just throw those on there real quick.
• 10:35
Diggity-doo dig-doo. Um, couple people came back over the holidays that, uh, are Schlick alumni. Ah. You know, don't know if you... Well, you, I think you ran into Amber yesterday. Yes, yep.
• 10:48
She came in the s- Yeah, that was a glancing sha-... I was like, "Oh, yeah, wait, hey." Yeah. Yeah, later. [laughs] She came in the store today just to say howdy and check it out, 'cause she hadn't been here before.
• 10:56
And "Oh, look very nice." "Yes, thank you, it does." Right. I appreciate her input. Yeah. Was she still in- Denver... Denver? Denver, that's what I thought. Yeah. And Mr. Jim waltzed through a few days ago, too, former
• 11:10
wrench- Oh, yeah... Mr. Huber. Oh, right on. Didn't know he was... And he's out in Cali right now. Yeah, I believe- Or something like- Yep, somewhere San Fran area probably.
• 11:19
Um, he's still got family here, so he was visiting and... So it's good to see some of the old crew from years ago. Yeah, for sure. I know, uh, Colin was around- Oh, yeah... at some point. Yep. I think. True that.
• 11:33
He was here. Right in that area. The holiday zone. Well, it's good to see all the old people. Yeah. Hey, guess what? Uh, I think we got the, uh, call-in line working, so probably next show
• 11:50
gonna try and make a little bigger deal about people calling in. But, uh, 717-727-2453- That is-... could now- 717-727-BIKE... BIKE. Not Mike. Not Mike. [laughs] Not Mike. That's not Mike.
• 12:07
That doesn't work[sniffs] So, um, w- [laughs] I don't know if that... Let's see how, let's make sure, let's see if this works here. I just thought this was funny because it was a, uh,
• 12:17
New Year's Eve [laughs] late call in when somebody was trying to get their bike ready. Um, w- Dave Luns, uh, repaired one of his bikes with some new stays, which actually looks like it turned out pretty good. Yeah.
• 12:32
But he left at 6:00 with a b- frame, so [laughs] had to whip that together to try and get ready for the next day's ride. Oh, man. Which would've been the New Year's Day ride. [laughs] Let's see if this works.
• 12:46
[laughs] Uh, comes out over there. I'll, I'll try and may- I'll try and get this on the, uh, on the podcast, but it's, uh, basically just Dave Daving.
• 12:58
[laughs] I'm just hearing it coming through a phone, headphone over there. Ha- happy New Year. Yeah. [laughs] Yeah, so, um, m- okay, that, yeah, that's the call in thing, so those, that is working.
• 13:12
Um, and if you call in, it, if it works like the old, uh, Fat Bike Radio Weekly Dose of Fat show, same basic service.
• 13:22
So you dial in the number, you get put in the queue room, you can hear the show while you're dawdling and waiting for us to get around to, um, to, uh, talking to you. Yapping with ya.
• 13:33
And it'll also give us the ability to have guests on the show, so that'll be nice. Indeed. Looking for some guests. Anybody wants to be on the show, just let us know, uh, every other week on a Wednesday. Indeed.
• 13:46
Gonna try and keep the schedule pretty well going, so. Yep. And that is 717-727-2453. Very good. Very good.
• 13:57
Uh, on shop, on shop news, just wanted to remind you all that, uh, the remaining stock of the, the Chumba Titanium Ursa Major Fat Bikes are residing in the building here,
• 14:10
and if that's something that you think you might wanna ride, you should let us know. Give us a shout, info@uh everydaycycles.com. These are like the most modern fat bike you can get, and they're titanium and beautiful.
• 14:24
Made in United States of America. America. Titanium's good. That's what's in my shoulder. [laughs] Right? You know, you know it's durable if it's in your shoulder. Yeah. [laughs] Pretty good.
• 14:33
So all the, all the salt and the sand and all that other g- gunk out there, it doesn't matter. It does- it just brushes it right off. That's nice. That is nice. And it's, you know, it's the latest standards.
• 14:43
You can run a 100 millimeter rim in there with a five-inch tire and, mm, man, it's beautiful. Mm. I just, I, I was riding it earlier today. I thought, "Oh, [laughs] this is a nice bike." [laughs] So, uh, got sold.
• 14:57
That's that thing. I don't know what else we got really. It's not really... It was kind of a, a holiday, uh, period of time with less cycling activity with the family- Right... and all that stuff.
• 15:12
Yeah, mine was pr- primarily functional, like, okay, I gotta... Oh, I forgot something at the store. Well, okay. I'll bike it. [laughs] So [laughs] plus my Jeep's brakes are suspect at best right now.
• 15:25
[laughs] Yeah, that's, that's- That kind of forces my hand a lot. [laughs] Yeah. Well, at, at least you're not gonna go sliding through any intersections too much, so, uh...
• 15:37
♪ Doo, doo-doo, doo-doo, doing a little button pushing on the telephone. ♪ Yes, because the Trailer Park Boys, uh, special event ended at 7:00. [laughs] Oh, yeah. Did you get to Lahey or no? No. No, no, no, no.
• 15:54
[laughs] I started it up with only, like, 10 hours left in the thing, so. Oh, okay.
• 15:59
Yeah, it was- Yeah, I, I, I don't know if I got him or not, but the, the last one was, like, uh, some extra special version of him too, so. Oh, nice. Hey, guess what? You almost fell asleep at the wheel.
• 16:11
Looks like we got a caller. Oh, my. [laughs] Maybe this thing really does work. That'd be super weird. [laughs] Hey, caller. Um, hello? Hey, caller. Thank, thank you for calling. Uh- Thanks for calling, caller...
• 16:26
can you- Uh... can you hear me now? Hello? [laughs] Yes, I can hear you. Yeah, we were just talking about you. What's going on? And hearing you. We were just talking about you- Oh, yeah... as a matter of fact, and yeah.
• 16:37
Yeah, this is Dave, ladies and gentlemen. Oh, good, I hope. Yeah, mostly. [laughs] Hi, my name's Davey. I like my fries with gravy.
• 16:47
[laughs] I, it was, uh, I think it was related to your, uh, A, your call in on New Year's Eve, and then also your speedy building of the bike to get it ready for the ride on the New Year's Day. Yeah.
• 17:00
[laughs] It actually made the whole ride. Actually, you're almost the whole show today. We talked about your video, and, uh- [laughs]... we talked about... So, uh...
• 17:10
Yeah, I caught my bike between my legs as I was on the ground. That was pretty hilarious. [laughs] That was, that was pretty brilliant timing. [laughs] After I tried to lay on the ground, fucking 10, 15- All right...
• 17:21
a half hour. Talking into your shoulder again. [laughs] Let's, let's get Dave talking clearly into his telephone. Uh, which I, um- There you go...

• 17:41
was that, uh, from impact damage from the, the s- the bail? Yeah. Uh, the knee took the brunt of it and yeah, that really hurt. [laughs] Well- Yeah, I went- Kind of still does... I went hip. I went hip. Hip and elbow.
• 17:58
That was- Yeah. [laughs] Uh, there were a few people that did go sliding. Well, that's what, uh, if you're gonna do it...
• 18:04
Yeah, um, y- if you're gonna do anything, Mike, break your hip 'cause that heals a lot quicker than a knee. That's what I heard, so, you know. Lead with the hip. Right on. [laughs]Yeah, lead with the half.
• 18:15
That, that's only like a two-month recovery. Yeah, fair enough. Planning my new- Yeah, New Year's Day... my new adventure. [laughs] Yeah, well, you know, Mike actually did do his- Yeah. [laughs]...
• 18:24
his, his injury on a New Year's Day, so. [laughs] Don't know if that was- Yeah... how long ago. Rec- recovery was that? Yeah. That was... It was a couple m- hmm, eh, a good month.
• 18:36
Month and a half, I wanna say, for- Yeah... classical surgery. I, I'd stay- Something like that... I'd stay well away from the rotator cuff surgery based on my, my last January surgery. [laughs] That was much longer.
• 18:47
That was- Yeah. It's still not 100% perfect, but it's, it's way better than it was. Yeah. Yeah, I didn't- Yeah... and I didn't ride for, like, three months, I think. That was...
• 18:59
Because I know, the, the n- the next time I got on a bike was the, uh, Justin Timberlake birthday. Oh, that's gotta be coming up in, uh- [laughs]... March some time. [laughs] Yeah. Exactly.
• 19:09
And I was just white-knuckling it everywhere. [laughs] Yeah. That was my first time back on the bike after... That was my, that was my first time back on the bike after my, uh, work-related injuries last year. Oh, yeah.
• 19:20
[laughs] I had to get special clearance by the doctors just so I could ride. [laughs] Don't you know it's his birthday? [laughs] He recommended, "Yeah, yeah, I guess that'd be fine. Just don't get hit by a car," he says.
• 19:30
I'm like, "Yeah, okay. That's- Fair enough... the general plan usually." [laughs] Yeah. [laughs] I'm like, "Did you go to doctor school to learn that?" [laughs] That, that's some doctoring right there, man.
• 19:40
That's them practicing medicine. Right. [laughs] Yeah. How much are we paying you for that kind of advice? [laughs] Why are you practicing? Yeah. Don't practice on me. Yeah. No. Are you kidding me?

• 20:13
[laughs] Yeah, you're at the, you're at the beginning of a lot of, uh, cutting edge stuff. [laughs] Yeah. Yeah. You know. [laughs] So be- besides your fall yesterday, how was your, uh, otherwise preparedness?
• 20:26
Were you cold? Were you warm? Did you have enough beer? Um, how was that day? Um, uh, we had plenty of beer, yeah. [laughs] We brought the 30 pack and, uh, down to the lake.
• 20:40
So yeah, we a- we actually, uh, had a couple for the ride home. Um, the only time I was really cold is when we were just standing around drinking, but when we were moving I was fine. Yeah, right. That's- So-...
• 20:52
a lot of times how that is. E- even with the wolf hammers on, my toes were getting a little cold just standing there. Really? Have you seen their new, uh- I don't know, we just stand there for about, what?

• 21:09
[laughs] Have you seen their new ultra super, um, I don't know, arctic boot that, uh, 45NRTH is doing? I think- No, I haven't... I gotta say it's, like, a $400 boot. It looks a lot more like a,
• 21:25
um, not quite like a, a, a Mickey Mouse boot, but it's big. [laughs] Like a moon boot? [laughs] Moon boot? Yeah, I know. Yeah. [laughs] Not moon boot. I've been saying for years, man, we gotta bring back the moon boot.
• 21:37
[laughs] Let's see. That'd be good. I never, I never had any as a kid, but I'd buy them as adult. [laughs] Yeah, this one, I think this one even still has- Oh, yeah. Now I see it... footwear.
• 21:50
Sorry, I'm digging through the beers here. [laughs] Uh, uh, right on. There it is. There's that. There it is. I'm fishing for beer. It, it's, it's called the... Well, there's a couple of them.
• 21:59
There's the Wolfgar, that's like the extreme winter one, double boot, and then they have a- Extreme... they have a red wing edition now too. [laughs] Working with those folks over there in Minnesota for the...
• 22:12
That one looks warm. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Fat bike. It's made for fat biking and commuting apparently. [laughs] But, uh, it- Yeah. Wherever it works... I, it looks kinda- How they feel too. [laughs] Uh, doesn't say.
• 22:23
I wonder if you could, uh, get that as an option. Designed to pair with Bergraven Gaiters. Hmm. We just got a pair of those for their Christmas- Yeah... birthday Christmas present. Indeed. I did.
• 22:36
[laughs] Oh, you got s- you got some too. Yeah. [laughs] They picked up a pair too. [laughs] It's like, yeah. Good times. Ah. The new year of the gaiter. Well, I can finally... Yeah.
• 22:45
I forgot to actually- Now we need some snow... wear those. Right. Yeah. Arizona got two feet of snow today, but [laughs] it's, it's gonna rain tomorrow here. [laughs] Right. Yeah.
• 22:54
The, the next, uh, week and a half is all above freezing again, so if we're gonna get- [laughs]... if we're gonna get winter- Oh, man... maybe it'll be in July. Oh, nice... I don't know. Right.
• 23:05
[laughs] Oh, j- always- No... holding out hope for February. Well, I, I... Even if there's no snow, the f- freezing of the lake would be great. There, there was absolutely no ice.
• 23:15
I mean, ev- for the Polar Bear Plunge, it's, there's usually some ice down there. Uh, there was not a speck- Yeah... of ice to be seen and- Where there are snow...
• 23:25
[laughs] Well, except where we were riding and, and sliding. [laughs] Right. [laughs] Except for underneath my sail.
• 23:31
[laughs] [laughs] Um, I haven't seen an update on their, uh, Facebook page yet, but, uh, wonder if, uh, Bike Across Bagel's gonna have enough, uh, ice. Hmm. I don't know what their weather's been like up there.
• 23:47
That's like February 2nd, so that's coming up. Isn't that the same weekend as Frost Bike? Oddly enough, I, I think it is. Uh, I don't know. [laughs] [laughs] Shut up, Todd. [laughs] Oh, you slurped it up too much.
• 24:01
Well, that- [laughs] Yeah. [laughs] Gotta hit the wiffle ball. Yeah. [laughs] That's right. [laughs] Gotta wet my whistle. There you go. The one we gotta go to before Frost Bike is Cabinda this year.
• 24:10
What with no Interbike at all coming up. Yeah. When is that? It's the weekend before Frost Bike. [laughs] Literally, though. [laughs]Or- So it's the same weekend as Frost Bike. Yeah. Everything is.
• 24:23
Now, they were trying to get me to go to Frost Bike, and I thought, "Was that the same weekend as CABDA?" [laughs] Should've asked them if Frost Bike was the same weekend as Frost Bike.
• 24:37
Well, I haven't been up to one of those for a bunch of years. I could joke that back to them, yeah. [laughs] They had a run with it. I wonder if it...
• 24:44
I wonder if Frost Bike knows about how much fun we had with that line. [laughs] Copyright. Or as much fun as I had with that line. [laughs] Right. Dig. I don't know if anybody else has fun with it.
• 24:58
It's still funny after all these years. You know I, you know how I like to beat stuff into the ground. [laughs] No. Yeah. All right. Well, what, um...
• 25:09
So we, we left you guys down at The Swinging Door, and you guys went west, and we went, uh, north, and I, I saw you got some presents. When did you get- Yeah... when did you get those presents?
• 25:20
[laughs] And what's with the toilet paper? Oh, those are, uh, all freebie presents I got. Yeah. I forgot, um, Scanlon gave me the book.
• 25:30
Um, Dave Zward, for some reason, [laughs] I think gave me a pencil and an eraser or something, uh, he might've stole from his daughter. I don't know.
• 25:38
[laughs] And then, uh, Kenny gave me a Ziploc bag full of TP for my bun rolls. [laughs] Was he, was he present at the- Which I actually still haven't used. I think Zward... Yeah, Zward had a...
• 25:52
He asked me if I wanted to go take a bathe and I was with Zward on a art trail on the way home one time. [laughs] I was like, "Hey, I just happen to have some toilet paper for you."
• 26:00
[laughs] That's the snakebite kit, man. That came in real dandy. [laughs] Yes. You, you always ought to have the snakebite kit. What's that? Or the Constitution. Yeah, the snakebite kit. Yeah. For sure.
• 26:08
Hey- Not that it would've helped last time. [laughs] That's where the joke came from. Speaking of presents, I forgot about this, Mike. That's that coat I was telling you about over there, under your coat.
• 26:19
The coat under the coat? Remember that coat? The one that... Remember? Look at that thing. Let me see this. I got that for you. What?
• 26:26
Well, it was a deal, because the Burton shop was closing these things out at ridiculously low prices, and I thought, uh, you know, it's so cheap, I'm gonna get more than one of them, and
• 26:37
by cracky, your coat was looking a little ragged, so... [laughs] Right on, man. It was something like 279 bucks, and they were selling them for $30, so I said, uh- Oh, hell... gotta have one of those. No doubt.
• 26:51
This is fine, fine, fine. It'll keep you dry. I thank you. [laughs] Yeah, sure enough for me. I could always use another coat. Coat for a goat. Coat for a goat. Coats and goats.
• 27:04
Yeah, I tested out my, uh, new $40 windbreaker I found at the Milwaukee Bike Bazaar on Tuesday yesterday. That was, uh, pretty good. Ooh, listen to that coat. I almost left it at The Swinging Door, though.
• 27:16
I walked out, I... I walked out, I'm like, "I'm a little cold." I'm like, "Oh, shit, I forgot my coat. I'm gonna go back in for that." I was glad to have, uh, some extra layers in my bag yesterday. That was... You know.
• 27:28
When you're rolling, boy, you don't, really don't need a lot. But when you're stopping, ooh. Oh, God. Yeah. [laughs] Wow, that thing looks like it fits you. Yeah, we should've gone up to one of those fires.
• 27:38
Actually, uh, I was up to the... I don't know if you're familiar with down there. They had a little, uh, you know, five or six people or whatever around the fire.
• 27:46
[laughs] I'm like, "I had no matter we're gonna crash this party." But I was like, "Yeah, I see a few people." They were like, "Oh, everybody's invited." I was like, "Oh, everybody's out here. Cool."
• 27:55
[laughs] Did you run into Charlie the bee guy? Yeah. Yes, I did. Yeah. And, uh, Andy Oatmeal was out there somewhere. Yep, yep. Charlie wants to get on a bike. Get a bike, get a bike, get a bike.
• 28:07
Charlie needs to get on a bike. I don't know what the- Charlie needs to pop a wheelie... I don't know what that bag of stuff's all about. It's patches and weird stuff. Yeah, yeah. It's like those, the Velcro-y belt.
• 28:18
Yeah. Right on. [laughs] Well, Dave, thanks for taking time out of your busy, busy evening to call in and test out our new, uh- Oh, sure... thing that works. So we'll get some real guests on next time. [laughs] Okay.
• 28:34
Uh- Right on. When's the next weekend? I don't know, but it has- No, I was thinking about- For me, it has to be on Saturday... three weeks from now. Can't be on Sunday this week, so. Sunday I fly. Yeah.
• 28:44
I make like a tree and get out of here. [laughs] Oh. Um, Kenny wants to bring his bike down to you. Yeah, he said he was gonna- That'll be neat...
• 28:52
clean up some wheels and bring it down, so maybe Saturday he can drop it off. We'll get a... I just gotta get a look at it and see what- Yeah, we were talking about that but-...
• 29:00
what damage happened at the, uh, Jungle Cross race. Yeah, I told him I should have a hanger, and I know I have it three layer, but whatever. Now, I'm- I've gotta have-...
• 29:12
if he's not gonna be around, who's gonna work on it? Yeah. I'll, we'll get her, we'll get her done. And, uh, they have an updated version of that hanger. Are you guys gonna work on it? What's that? Oh, yeah?
• 29:23
You can come down when Tony's... Tony Burger's gonna sit in the shop for a while, so he can come down when he's in here on the evening. Oh, that's right, yeah. Um, yeah, I think I got- Yeah, he'd have to do the rifle.
• 29:35
Say it again. [laughs] Yeah. I just say that, um, they have a- Oh, I told Tony I'd go to work on his bike, no problem. Oh. It's like- Right on... guy gives me, guy gives me enough booze and all.
• 29:46
I'm like, "Yeah, I could, I could tune his bike up for you." [laughs] You don't even have to bring me booze at that time, but you, I know you will. [laughs] But- Right on... yeah. Uh, I guess we're coming down Saturday.
• 29:59
Oh, cool. Okay. Well, I'll have the... They have an updated version of that hanger, I think, 'cause that original one was a little bendy-prone, if you ask me. Yes. Yes. I noticed that. Um,
• 30:11
I think I broke three in one weekend. Well, judging by the condition of Mike's- So much so-...
• 30:16
he's gonna need one, too, so we'll have to see how many are floating around the- So, so much so that I started, I started ordering them in bulk and carrying an extra. Yeah. A good call. Good call... yeah Yep.
• 30:29
So these new ones are supposed to be strong. Let's make sure that's true, without testing it too thoroughly. Right. All right, dude. Well, we'll see you Saturday- Cool. All right, thanks... then if not before.
• 30:41
We'll see you Saturday. Okay. Bye. Hope you're well, Paul. Bye bye. Bye. Bye. [burps] [laughs] Drop the call. All right. Well, I guess the, uh, call-in line works, 717-727-2453.
• 30:59
That's 717-727-BIKE. Yeah, we're gonna have to put a schedule up so people know when to call in. I think, uh, if we can get to the, the every week point one of these years, that'd be sweet.
• 31:10
Then everybody'd just go, "It's Wednesday." Right. Now they gotta go, "Which freaking Wednesday is it again?" So we'll figure that out for you fine people, but, uh, in the meantime [crickets] Crickets.
• 31:27
It was so quiet. [laughs] I had to turn something on. [laughs] Wait. Let me... Okay. [crickets] Be very, very quiet. [laughs] We're hunting rabbits.
• 31:43
[applause] Yay. All right. Hey, isn't it great having these little pads here to make sound? Boom, tsh. I thought it was, like, a game of Simon or something. Somewhere there's one of these. [trumpet] [laughs] Shit.
• 31:58
[laughs] I don't, I don't have them all mapped out yet. [crickets] [drum beat] Oh, that's the cricket. There we go. Aha. Okay.
• 32:06
All right, you fine people, thank you for tuning in and, uh, wasting another half hour plus with us and, uh, we'll do another one of these in a couple of weeks again. Yes, indeed. Meanwhile, keep the rubber side down.
• 32:19
  Yes, please.
