- 0:07Speaker 2: The world's a big and podcasts.
- 0:14Speaker 3: Welcome to Patriots Unfiltered.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Down one.
- 0:19Speaker 3: Paul's in Italy quite a shame. Can only imagine what's
- 0:21Speaker 3: going on over there?
- 0:22Speaker 1: Right, can only imagine what if?
- 0:24Speaker 3: You can only imagine? It's probably in an argument. It's
- 0:26Speaker 3: some you know, Lotte place.
- 0:28Speaker 4: Yeah, you guys make fun of Italians here, right, there's
- 0:30Speaker 4: no making fun of Italians here?
- 0:31Speaker 1: Wrong without right?
- 0:32Speaker 3: Right with the first look at the Rooks, Yeah, yeah,
- 0:34Speaker 3: hopefully we'll be outside.
- 0:35Speaker 5: Last year we were was raining, so we had to
- 0:37Speaker 5: go to the bubble, but we did get Hamburgers.
- 0:39Speaker 3: You don't think they were a championship quality team by
- 0:41Speaker 3: the end of the season. Now you're you're a Green
- 0:44Speaker 3: teamer to the end?
- 0:45Speaker 1: How was that? You're making excuses?
- 0:46Speaker 6: I literally just said they weren't a championship every team,
- 0:49Speaker 6: and that makes me be a Green teamer.
- 0:50Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 0:50Speaker 3: The Green teamers right now are making excuses for being
- 0:53Speaker 3: knocked out in the first row.
- 0:56Speaker 1: They are the fixes have beat the Celtics. No, I
- 1:00Speaker 1: just I literally just said that.
- 1:01Speaker 6: Okay, you're making a big deal because you're not let
- 1:04Speaker 6: me finish myself.
- 1:05Speaker 3: You're making a big deal because the Knicks beat a
- 1:06Speaker 3: team that the Celtics should have been.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Because the Celtics blew it. The Celtics admit.
- 1:10Speaker 8: It, they blow.
- 1:11Speaker 1: I could talk, I would admit it, admit it. I'm
- 1:14Speaker 1: that bar. I'm gonna pushing it all right now, I'm bored.
- 1:17Speaker 1: All right, let's go to pat This is Patriots Unfiltered.
- 1:21Speaker 9: Presented by Toyota's official website for deals by a Toyota
- 1:25Speaker 9: dot com.
- 1:28Speaker 3: All right, welcome the Patriots Unfiltered. It is Thursday here
- 1:32Speaker 3: at Jillette Stadium.
- 1:34Speaker 1: The rookies are here.
- 1:35Speaker 3: They're getting acclimated, doing a bunch of stuff over there
- 1:39Speaker 3: at the new building. We got some interesting video that
- 1:43Speaker 3: will be coming out a little later. I don't know
- 1:44Speaker 3: if it's already out yet, so I don't want to
- 1:45Speaker 3: give it away.
- 1:46Speaker 6: A fog machine involved, no, because no that has a
- 1:50Speaker 6: greape today I do.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Okay, there's a fog machine on campus somewhere.
- 1:54Speaker 6: So there's a fog machine that they decided to let
- 1:57Speaker 6: out in the studio down the hall. And I walked
- 2:02Speaker 6: in this morning to like a wall of smoke. Okay,
- 2:05Speaker 6: there's no windows, there's no way to get the smoke out.
- 2:08Speaker 1: So I thought there was a fire.
- 2:10Speaker 4: Yeah, I was like, somebody canvassing our little office area.
- 2:14Speaker 10: And then we realized it's just a photo shoot.
- 2:16Speaker 1: It was some WWE fog stuff going.
- 2:20Speaker 10: But I think it's just water vapors.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Ye, it's not real smoke. I feel my chest feels
- 2:27Speaker 1: a little tighter.
- 2:27Speaker 3: Beaul Evan's already complaining, well, okay, yeah, so yeah, rookies
- 2:35Speaker 3: are getting acclimated over at the new building.
- 2:38Speaker 1: We've got our cameras over there. Today.
- 2:40Speaker 3: At around four or so, Caleb Lamoux we'll be out
- 2:45Speaker 3: on the field with the crafts and meeting the media
- 2:49Speaker 3: and he'll do his car wash and uh, from what
- 2:52Speaker 3: I understand, you and I will be able to sit
- 2:54Speaker 3: down with him in the studio.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Later on we'll tape an interview with him. Do you
- 2:57Speaker 1: want to be part of that? I do?
- 2:59Speaker 3: Okay, No, I was gonna say, yeah, yeah, so extra
- 3:04Speaker 3: chair at four point thirty, Matt Morrell, what what do
- 3:08Speaker 3: you want to know from Caleb Blamu That isn't going
- 3:11Speaker 3: to be asked on the field.
- 3:12Speaker 4: His wife posted a phenomenal TikTok of him singing, and
- 3:16Speaker 4: he's pretty good.
- 3:17Speaker 10: I can't die. He's a scratch golfer I heard, or
- 3:20Speaker 10: borderline scratch golfer.
- 3:22Speaker 1: I heard.
- 3:22Speaker 6: He can throw a football seventy yards over the mountains.
- 3:26Speaker 10: Better than some quarterbacks.
- 3:28Speaker 3: Okay, so you have some stuff lined up for all right? Okay,
- 3:33Speaker 3: so yeah, so we'll do that. Well, you know you'll
- 3:36Speaker 3: see that next Tuesday, I guess, or whenever we release it.
- 3:39Speaker 3: Obviously we can't have it part of this show. But
- 3:43Speaker 3: you know, having a chance to sit down with him
- 3:45Speaker 3: is with the rookies has become kind of a tradition
- 3:48Speaker 3: now for pu.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Yeah, I like it.
- 3:50Speaker 6: It's always it's good to get some FaceTime early on
- 3:53Speaker 6: and then they remember, oh we did this.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Yep, I remember you. Yeah.
- 3:58Speaker 3: But the actual event of him being on the field
- 4:00Speaker 3: will be covered live on Patriots dot Com at four,
- 4:03Speaker 3: so that will be live on the website.
- 4:07Speaker 1: I feel bad for Duce.
- 4:08Speaker 6: This is one of his favorite events on the year,
- 4:11Speaker 6: and he's uh, he's getting his his procedure done today.
- 4:15Speaker 3: Speaking speaking of Deuce, Rokee wants to know will his
- 4:21Speaker 3: colonoscopy be a single camp Klon remote.
- 4:26Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 4:26Speaker 10: These are the questions.
- 4:27Speaker 6: Yeah, I can't. I feel bad. He says, you're outside,
- 4:32Speaker 6: there's hope in the air, you know.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Then Rookie comes.
- 4:35Speaker 6: Out and holds up the jersey and everything. From that moment,
- 4:40Speaker 6: you feel like he's going to be a Hall of Famer.
- 4:43Speaker 1: You don't know if that.
- 4:44Speaker 6: Obviously doesn't always go that way, but I feel bad
- 4:47Speaker 6: that dude.
- 4:47Speaker 1: This is produce.
- 4:48Speaker 10: This is the sad thing.
- 4:49Speaker 4: Is Deuce like specifically planned it for today knowing that
- 4:53Speaker 4: all this stuff would probably be behind us.
- 4:55Speaker 3: And yeah nope, yeah, yeah, all right, so yeah, so
- 4:58Speaker 3: Deuce is uh probably waking up by now.
- 5:01Speaker 1: He's probably Usually they do those in the morning. Is
- 5:04Speaker 1: it quick?
- 5:05Speaker 3: Yeah, well it seems quick. It's it's probably like an
- 5:07Speaker 3: hour procedure.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Okay, but these are I need.
- 5:11Speaker 3: It really depends on what they see in there, you know,
- 5:13Speaker 3: and they might open them up and see the Hollywood
- 5:15Speaker 3: sign and say, what's going on in here? You know?
- 5:17Speaker 1: So I don't know, I wanted.
- 5:19Speaker 10: To call it and from like waking up from anesthesia, it's.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Probably now you feel It's not like you're oh yeah,
- 5:27Speaker 1: you feel great.
- 5:27Speaker 10: You know.
- 5:28Speaker 4: Sometimes like those videos of people getting like their wisdom
- 5:30Speaker 4: teeth out or something, and they come out of anesthesia
- 5:33Speaker 4: saying the craziest stuff. Like one of my good friends
- 5:36Speaker 4: at least that happened to her, and she was talking
- 5:37Speaker 4: about how hot her surgeon was, and the surgeon was
- 5:40Speaker 4: like right there, but she didn't have the where I
- 5:42Speaker 4: thought it was a really fun video.
- 5:43Speaker 3: The anesthesia for this is a little different than the
- 5:45Speaker 3: one where you're totally out. Okay, this this one, you're
- 5:49Speaker 3: actually not totally out.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Oh yeah, but you don't remember a thing.
- 5:55Speaker 10: But are you awake?
- 5:56Speaker 1: And I don't know if you're awake, but you're like.
- 6:00Speaker 3: Totally out of I think, but you don't remember a
- 6:03Speaker 3: darn thing, like from a certain point you have no recollection.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, it's not that bad. I haven't seen I
- 6:10Speaker 1: want to just knock me out, like I don't want to.
- 6:12Speaker 1: I want to be asleep. I don't want to have
- 6:14Speaker 1: any idea.
- 6:15Speaker 3: You won't you won't know, you won't know, you won't.
- 6:17Speaker 1: I don't want to. No, I don't want any of that. Yeah, okay,
- 6:21Speaker 1: all right, Paul's not here. Paul's in Italy.
- 6:25Speaker 3: I can only imagine what international incidents happening at the
- 6:29Speaker 3: local toys r US in Italy right now.
- 6:31Speaker 4: And he sent us a text the other day like
- 6:34Speaker 4: bright and early, first thing in the morning. I was
- 6:36Speaker 4: still sleep and I was like, oh god, this can't
- 6:38Speaker 4: be good. It was just him getting a sandwich.
- 6:40Speaker 1: S how come I was that chat? That's a good question.
- 6:44Speaker 10: I know you should be in that group chat.
- 6:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:46Speaker 6: Yeah, he was very he was very excited about his Italian.
- 6:51Speaker 10: He went to the sandwich shop. I recommend it.
- 6:54Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 6:55Speaker 6: He said that he didn't change his life, but it
- 6:58Speaker 6: was close didn't.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Okay, that's what he said. That was his review.
- 7:02Speaker 3: Close to life changing is pretty good.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Especially it's hard to get Paul to admit that he
- 7:07Speaker 1: likes something.
- 7:07Speaker 4: I can't wait to hear him talking about the food there,
- 7:10Speaker 4: because a lot of people go over there thinking they're
- 7:12Speaker 4: gonna get chicken, palm and stuff, and it's like, that's
- 7:15Speaker 4: Italian American.
- 7:16Speaker 10: That's not like really authentic Italian.
- 7:18Speaker 1: So what is Italian Italian food? Seven fishes? I don't know, Well,
- 7:23Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 7:24Speaker 4: It probably depends on the region right like down south,
- 7:27Speaker 4: probably really seafood heavy.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I feel like seafood, that's what I would think.
- 7:33Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 7:33Speaker 6: I think that they do have some of the Italian
- 7:36Speaker 6: Americans for sure, but like, do.
- 7:39Speaker 1: They have pasta?
- 7:40Speaker 9: Sicily is a lot of fish ran definitely just pasta obviously.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Yeah, so they do have pasta.
- 7:48Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 7:48Speaker 6: When my parents, my dad said that his best meal
- 7:52Speaker 6: is I guess it's like they claim to be the
- 7:54Speaker 6: original Alfredo sauce and he said it was unreal.
- 7:59Speaker 1: And so they have pasta. I don't know how much
- 8:02Speaker 1: red sauce pasta is going on around well, but tomatoes
- 8:05Speaker 1: are big, and.
- 8:06Speaker 6: I think tomatoes olives. Yep, Pizza I think they had.
- 8:11Speaker 6: There's plenty of pizza.
- 8:12Speaker 4: They eat pizza with a fork and a knife, though
- 8:14Speaker 4: in some places some.
- 8:15Speaker 1: People like to do that. Well, it depends on how
- 8:17Speaker 1: thin the crust is.
- 8:18Speaker 3: If you have Apolitan pizza, which is very thin, it's
- 8:21Speaker 3: tough to pick up, you know, So I eat that
- 8:24Speaker 3: with a knife and a fork. All right, I'm getting
- 8:26Speaker 3: hungry anyway. I owner an Italian sub in honor of
- 8:29Speaker 3: Paul today, So I know people in Italy might say
- 8:34Speaker 3: that's not Italian.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know.
- 8:36Speaker 6: I mean, I know what like Italians that I know
- 8:40Speaker 6: eat that, but they're all technically Americans at this point,
- 8:43Speaker 6: so I don't know.
- 8:45Speaker 1: If that's what you still eat. I don't know.
- 8:47Speaker 4: I made meatballs and I posted a picture of it
- 8:50Speaker 4: pretty recently the last month or so. Some guy was
- 8:53Speaker 4: like shaming me for them because they were too big,
- 8:56Speaker 4: and then Italy, the real Italians only do like tiny
- 8:59Speaker 4: little ones.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Okay, I don't know about that. Grow up.
- 9:02Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know about anyway. Okay, So Paul's in Italy, Uh,
- 9:08Speaker 3: Deuce's recovering, and we're here, but we're talking patriots and
- 9:14Speaker 3: whatever else.
- 9:15Speaker 1: You want to talk about.
- 9:16Speaker 3: Uh So, I mean, what developments do we have. I
- 9:21Speaker 3: mean it's kind of quiet right now in terms of
- 9:24Speaker 3: you know, uh transactions that really aren't any We're still
- 9:29Speaker 3: you know, waiting for June to see if a j
- 9:32Speaker 3: Brown actually becomes reality.
- 9:34Speaker 7: Uh.
- 9:35Speaker 3: No report has contradicted anything that Chefter reported last week,
- 9:39Speaker 3: so you know, we're we're hoping it's it's still on.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Yeah, there's really nothing going on in a good way.
- 9:46Speaker 6: Yeah, obviously this time of year, it's very slow news
- 9:51Speaker 6: time a year, and just kind of waiting for spring
- 9:54Speaker 6: practices and OTAs and Saturday we'll be out there for
- 9:57Speaker 6: a day of rookie mini camp. So we're just kind
- 10:00Speaker 6: of waiting to see some football, at least semblance of
- 10:04Speaker 6: real football. Over the next couple of weeks, we do
- 10:07Speaker 6: have quite a few Ricky mendiamp Saturday, and then by
- 10:10Speaker 6: the end of the month, in early June, we have
- 10:13Speaker 6: like three OTA open OTAs to the media and then
- 10:16Speaker 6: Mini camp will be in middle of June, so we
- 10:19Speaker 6: will see some football for you know, a couple of
- 10:21Speaker 6: weeks here of the players actually out on the field
- 10:24Speaker 6: and going through drills. But until then we don't really
- 10:26Speaker 6: have much new to talk about until we see some
- 10:29Speaker 6: stuff player availability.
- 10:30Speaker 10: On Tuesday, we had kJ Britt.
- 10:32Speaker 3: Yeah, Tuesdays and Thursdays from Chill Camp will be the
- 10:36Speaker 3: cadence for availabilities.
- 10:38Speaker 4: Yeah, they had some good stuff to say. kJ talked
- 10:43Speaker 4: about his time in Tampa and how much playing with
- 10:46Speaker 4: Tom Brady early on in his career really impacted him,
- 10:48Speaker 4: and I thought it was cool because he talked about
- 10:51Speaker 4: how when they played the Patriots and Tom came back
- 10:54Speaker 4: to Jillette for the first time, like the team was
- 10:56Speaker 4: really fired up to win that game for Tom. And
- 11:00Speaker 4: he also talked about playing for Miami last year and
- 11:04Speaker 4: the last game of the season where obviously Miami had
- 11:07Speaker 4: was not going to be in the playoffs. But he
- 11:10Speaker 4: could just tell, like the ball coming out of Drake
- 11:12Speaker 4: May's hands looked different. He knew this team was rolling,
- 11:15Speaker 4: and he could tell, like the vibes were just immaculate,
- 11:18Speaker 4: and it was a big reason why he wanted to
- 11:19Speaker 4: come here to New England.
- 11:21Speaker 6: Yeah, he's kind of a big piece, honestly, because you know,
- 11:24Speaker 6: they kind of gutted the depth at linebacker behind Roberts
- 11:27Speaker 6: playing and Christian Ellis, and I to hope is that
- 11:30Speaker 6: a guy like kJ Britt is the next Jack Gibbons,
- 11:33Speaker 6: or the next Gelawni Tavai or even the next Christian Ellis,
- 11:36Speaker 6: and they need somebody to step up as that third linebacker.
- 11:40Speaker 6: And he's played a lot of special teams in his career,
- 11:42Speaker 6: not necessarily defense, but so did those guys, you know, Gibbons, Ellis.
- 11:46Speaker 6: Those guys all started as core special teams guys and
- 11:49Speaker 6: then eventually, you know, we're able to elevate up the
- 11:53Speaker 6: depth chart on defense. So if he ends up being
- 11:55Speaker 6: a one for one replacement for let's say, you know,
- 11:58Speaker 6: Jack Gibbons, where he's a core four special team or
- 12:01Speaker 6: depth linebacker, then that's kind of they kind of need that,
- 12:04Speaker 6: they need that out of him.
- 12:06Speaker 1: So it's an interesting player in this whole.
- 12:09Speaker 3: Anthony writes in was did Diggs have an Instagram post
- 12:12Speaker 3: about coming back to New England?
- 12:13Speaker 6: No, he posted about him. I think now that his
- 12:17Speaker 6: legal situation is resolved, he kind of posted like, all right,
- 12:22Speaker 6: what's next sort of thing in terms of his playing career,
- 12:25Speaker 6: and a lot of the Patriot players, including Christian Gonzalez,
- 12:28Speaker 6: said you.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Know, oh, they said, come on back. Yeah, nice things,
- 12:33Speaker 1: come back.
- 12:33Speaker 4: Diggs posted it was it was an all Patriot highlight
- 12:37Speaker 4: reel from all last season, with caption this is not
- 12:39Speaker 4: an opinion based sport.
- 12:41Speaker 10: So here are the numbers.
- 12:42Speaker 4: I played fifty two percent of the snaps and finished
- 12:44Speaker 4: with eighty five catches for one tho forty five yards
- 12:47Speaker 4: coming off in acl where are we going? And then
- 12:51Speaker 4: Christian Gonzalez said, oh is it still there?
- 12:54Speaker 10: Where is it? I wonder if God did Gonzo delete it?
- 12:57Speaker 4: No he did not, He did not, he said to
- 12:59Speaker 4: the Pats and then common sectionist full Patriots players just
- 13:04Speaker 4: beast real one fire emoji.
- 13:08Speaker 3: So so Diggs is looking for a job and he's
- 13:11Speaker 3: making the case I would somebody should sign him.
- 13:15Speaker 6: Oh yeah, I think the only reason why he wasn't
- 13:18Speaker 6: signed yet was because of the legal drama that he
- 13:20Speaker 6: had going.
- 13:21Speaker 4: On, which also played out this week. I guess that's
- 13:23Speaker 4: a yeah, that line.
- 13:24Speaker 6: I'm not guilty, So you know, I think he'll sign
- 13:28Speaker 6: relatively soon, you know, I do. I think he had
- 13:32Speaker 6: enough of a good year last year, bounced back year
- 13:35Speaker 6: that as long as nothing off the field is deterring
- 13:38Speaker 6: teams from signing him anymore, there's no reason for football
- 13:41Speaker 6: that he shouldn't be on a team.
- 13:42Speaker 1: And he and Cardi b are done, right.
- 13:44Speaker 10: I don't know.
- 13:45Speaker 1: I saw as far as I know. Yeah, I saw a.
- 13:48Speaker 4: Pretty recent video of him at one of her shows recently.
- 13:54Speaker 10: I don't know who knows what.
- 13:55Speaker 12: That they're on good terms right now.
- 13:57Speaker 1: I think parenting. They have a baby, Togain.
- 14:01Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, yeah, all right, Well let's see what
- 14:04Speaker 3: you have to say. Eight five five Pats five hundred
- 14:07Speaker 3: is the hotline podcast at patriot dot com is the
- 14:10Speaker 3: email address will start with herm in DC?
- 14:13Speaker 1: What's up herm here?
- 14:16Speaker 7: What's going on?
- 14:17Speaker 1: Hey?
- 14:17Speaker 3: Girls?
- 14:20Speaker 13: So obviously, being in sales, right, you never know what
- 14:25Speaker 13: happens until people work actually signed. So I guess my
- 14:29Speaker 13: question is this if for some reason, how He Roseman
- 14:33Speaker 13: right changes because he is human.
- 14:35Speaker 14: I mean, people change them mount all the time, right about.
- 14:39Speaker 14: I mean, obviously everybody's saying that quot cool, we have
- 14:42Speaker 14: a different place with Agent Brown, but I don't believe
- 14:44Speaker 14: it until it actually happens. If someone word is swooping
- 14:49Speaker 14: and snatch Agent Brown from bunder us, what will be
- 14:55Speaker 14: a realistic contingency plan for him? Given that, I mean,
- 15:00Speaker 14: we didn't draft one.
- 15:01Speaker 13: Receive it as this past, right, if I'm so right?
- 15:06Speaker 1: No, it's a good it's a good question, you know.
- 15:09Speaker 3: And I think we just talked about it, and like listen,
- 15:13Speaker 3: I don't know the details, but the way it's being reported,
- 15:17Speaker 3: I would I would think if things changed, then somebody
- 15:23Speaker 3: is going to be really pissed off. Like, for example,
- 15:26Speaker 3: if all of a sudden, Howie Roseman made a deal
- 15:28Speaker 3: with another team, the Patriots could say, wha, we had
- 15:33Speaker 3: we had an agreement. We didn't draft a wide receiver
- 15:36Speaker 3: because of that, and they drafted one, Mikayle Lemon.
- 15:40Speaker 1: You know, so what's going on here?
- 15:41Speaker 3: So I I don't think that's gonna happen, but who knows,
- 15:45Speaker 3: Like like you said to her, things change. You never know,
- 15:49Speaker 3: but I would think somebody, you know, if the Patriots
- 15:53Speaker 3: changed your mind or the Eagles changed your mind, the
- 15:55Speaker 3: other party is going to be really pissed off.
- 15:57Speaker 1: But we'll see.
- 15:58Speaker 3: Maybe, you know, maybe the reports aren't accurate and maybe
- 16:00Speaker 3: they're not that close, you know, so it wouldn't be
- 16:04Speaker 3: that big a deal.
- 16:05Speaker 1: But contingency plan.
- 16:06Speaker 3: If the Patriots counting on AJ Brown and it doesn't happen,
- 16:09Speaker 3: maybe now you do call up Stefan Diggs.
- 16:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 16:13Speaker 6: I don't that that's a you know, I said yesterday
- 16:15Speaker 6: on catch twenty two. It's like a tiny bit of
- 16:18Speaker 6: leverage for the Patriots where it's like the Eagles are
- 16:21Speaker 6: really gonna hold on a first round pick or something
- 16:24Speaker 6: that's out of the question in terms of an asking price.
- 16:26Speaker 6: The Patriots could just say, well, you know, Digs is available. Yeah,
- 16:30Speaker 6: and he played here last year. He played pretty well
- 16:32Speaker 6: for US. You know, but do you think.
- 16:33Speaker 4: They would be salty? Do you think Digs would be
- 16:35Speaker 4: salty though to.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Come, I don't know.
- 16:39Speaker 6: I I think that there was a combination of factors
- 16:43Speaker 6: that led to him leaving his contract, the situation off
- 16:46Speaker 6: the field, so they if he's cool with the content
- 16:50Speaker 6: he's going to sign the contract. So if he's good
- 16:51Speaker 6: with the money that they're paying him, then in.
- 16:53Speaker 3: Terms of personnel, though, does Digs on this team now
- 16:56Speaker 3: make less sense because of Dobbs.
- 16:59Speaker 6: Maybe a little bit, But I mean I think that
- 17:01Speaker 6: you're talking about stacking as much talent in that room
- 17:05Speaker 6: as you possibly can. And I still feel more comfortable
- 17:08Speaker 6: with Diggs as the top dog than I do with Romeo.
- 17:11Speaker 10: Dobs like the personality especially.
- 17:13Speaker 6: I just don't know if I've seen it yet with
- 17:14Speaker 6: Romeo Dobbs to say that he's a number one wide receiver.
- 17:17Speaker 6: Diggs might not be a one number one wide receiver
- 17:20Speaker 6: of the future, but he is the number one wide receiver.
- 17:22Speaker 1: Today, okay, or was last year?
- 17:24Speaker 6: All right, but it makes more sense, you know, from
- 17:27Speaker 6: a x's and o's standpoint for a J. Brown, you know,
- 17:30Speaker 6: like that is a true outside guy paired with the
- 17:33Speaker 6: true inside guy and bring it together.
- 17:35Speaker 3: But I think they could figure it out. Okay, So yeah,
- 17:39Speaker 3: it's a you know, it's a good thought.
- 17:41Speaker 1: Her things change. But like I said, it just seems
- 17:47Speaker 1: like the stars are aligned here. You know.
- 17:49Speaker 6: I just think that, you know, a guy like Adam
- 17:52Speaker 6: Scheffer doesn't come out as strongly as he did, right
- 17:55Speaker 6: and say, and.
- 17:56Speaker 1: No one is, no one has argued with it, no
- 17:59Speaker 1: one is. Well, I don't know. Yeah.
- 18:02Speaker 6: He On draft weekend, the Eagles drafted Makayle Lemon in
- 18:06Speaker 6: the first round and Adam Schefter said this is a
- 18:11Speaker 6: precursor to an expected trade to the Patriots. He said
- 18:15Speaker 6: that on X on the night one of the draft,
- 18:18Speaker 6: expected trade to the Patriots. I don't think Adam Schefter
- 18:21Speaker 6: is coming out that strongly with that kind of phrasing.
- 18:24Speaker 6: If it's not, there's isn't some sort of wink wink
- 18:28Speaker 6: going on with the Patriots and the Eagles. So I
- 18:31Speaker 6: think this is a lot like those trades that get
- 18:34Speaker 6: done before the league year begins and they say they've
- 18:38Speaker 6: agreed in principle to this trade, but of course it
- 18:40Speaker 6: can't process until you know, the league year begins, so
- 18:43Speaker 6: it's not.
- 18:44Speaker 1: Official, and I think this is similar to something like that. Also,
- 18:46Speaker 1: in the locker room, there's a locker says A. J. Brown.
- 18:50Speaker 1: I'm only kidding, just.
- 18:53Speaker 6: Kidding, Fred's getting aggregated.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Oh who's this Christian in LA? What's up? Christian?
- 19:02Speaker 7: You guys there?
- 19:02Speaker 2: You guys, you know you better chill out for when
- 19:05Speaker 2: these guys you know, pop it in the back of
- 19:07Speaker 2: the head over there, which is smart comments. But uh,
- 19:11Speaker 2: here's here's a off season topic that I don't think
- 19:15Speaker 2: I've heard anybody talk about. You know, how the season
- 19:19Speaker 2: ends with the Super Bowl. But there's the two teams
- 19:22Speaker 2: that lost the AFC Championship and lost.
- 19:23Speaker 7: The ANC Championship.
- 19:25Speaker 2: Why isn't the first game of the season the next
- 19:27Speaker 2: season the like those two teams, like the would have
- 19:31Speaker 2: been Bowl.
- 19:31Speaker 3: Well, they're not always on the schedule, you know, the
- 19:33Speaker 3: schedules are I mean, the opponents are already set for
- 19:36Speaker 3: the most part, so.
- 19:38Speaker 2: They couldn't the league couldn't flex it or change it
- 19:41Speaker 2: so that you know, that first game is always the
- 19:43Speaker 2: deal that people could have seen no, because.
- 19:45Speaker 3: You don't know I mean like right now, you already
- 19:49Speaker 3: know who the opponents are going to be for twenty
- 19:50Speaker 3: twenty seven except for two.
- 19:53Speaker 2: Wow, that's right, yeah, right, right right, So it wouldn't
- 19:56Speaker 2: lie if it doesn't line up natural, it doesn't line
- 19:57Speaker 2: up right. And then the second thing, do you think
- 19:59Speaker 2: how we Rose has in a position where he can
- 20:01Speaker 2: now once too first starts and we didn't get anybody
- 20:05Speaker 2: sort of jack up the price. But AJ Brown knowing
- 20:08Speaker 2: that he has a corner. I know we got digs
- 20:10Speaker 2: in waiting, but he's a smart guy. Do you think
- 20:13Speaker 2: that's something that he would have he would do again?
- 20:16Speaker 3: Again, Anything's possible, and thanks Christian, anything's possible, I suppose.
- 20:21Speaker 1: But I doubt that right now.
- 20:23Speaker 3: Those details are going to change if everything is correct
- 20:28Speaker 3: what Schefter is saying and everybody else, I doubt that
- 20:31Speaker 3: those details haven't already been hammered out.
- 20:34Speaker 10: We're doing during practice with the Eagles, remember awkward.
- 20:40Speaker 1: Right point?
- 20:41Speaker 6: Well, I just think that in general that the Eagles
- 20:44Speaker 6: have also gone out all off season and added wide receivers.
- 20:48Speaker 1: They drafted a Wires here in the first one.
- 20:50Speaker 10: They can still go to another team though.
- 20:52Speaker 6: But they But my point is is like they have
- 20:54Speaker 6: positioned themselves that Aj Brown is not going to be
- 20:56Speaker 6: an Eagle, right, So like if you draft Mikayle Lemon
- 20:59Speaker 6: and you trade for Dontavian Wicks, and you sign Hollywood
- 21:02Speaker 6: Brown and you make all these other moves, and now
- 21:04Speaker 6: all of a sudden, Aj Brown's in training camp and
- 21:07Speaker 6: is still an Eagle, and I mean it just you
- 21:10Speaker 6: still have DeVante Smith on the roster too, So now
- 21:13Speaker 6: what are they doing another team.
- 21:15Speaker 4: You guys could see kind of swooping in and cutting
- 21:18Speaker 4: us out.
- 21:19Speaker 6: The Rams were the team that I guess kicked the
- 21:21Speaker 6: tires on it the most besides the Patriots. But their deal,
- 21:25Speaker 6: I guess was contingent on finding a trade partner for
- 21:29Speaker 6: DeVante Adams. So they wanted to move off of Devontae
- 21:32Speaker 6: Adams and switch out DeVante Adams for AJ Brown. And
- 21:36Speaker 6: when that got complicated with the AJ Brown timeline and
- 21:40Speaker 6: all that kind of stuff, that the reporting was that
- 21:42Speaker 6: the Rams bowed out, And there was also some reporting
- 21:45Speaker 6: about AJ Brown's health and his knee and that stuff
- 21:48Speaker 6: complicating things. But I think the bigger thing was that
- 21:52Speaker 6: the Rams kind of wanted to do it now so
- 21:54Speaker 6: that they could put their ducks in a row in
- 21:56Speaker 6: terms of trading Devontae Adams and making their situation work.
- 22:01Speaker 3: I mean, you know, again, we don't know anything. We
- 22:03Speaker 3: really don't. We know what you know, we know what
- 22:05Speaker 3: Schefter said, but speculation. What if the deal is, you know, okay,
- 22:12Speaker 3: here's what I'll accept what you're offering, Patriots, but if
- 22:17Speaker 3: someone swoops in with what you know, we really want,
- 22:20Speaker 3: you know, let's just say two first round picks. You
- 22:24Speaker 3: have the right of first refusal, but we have the
- 22:27Speaker 3: right to take that. So who knows. Maybe there is
- 22:30Speaker 3: some thing like that that could change everything.
- 22:32Speaker 1: I don't know. I have no idea.
- 22:34Speaker 3: It could be anything from there is no deal and
- 22:37Speaker 3: Schefter is one hundred percent wrong too.
- 22:40Speaker 1: It's a done deal and it's just a matter of time.
- 22:42Speaker 1: So but we don't know.
- 22:43Speaker 6: Yeah, the only thing that I would say is like
- 22:45Speaker 6: I would try to get the deal done sooner rather
- 22:49Speaker 6: than later. Once that June first, oh yeah passes, because
- 22:52Speaker 6: if you get into training camp and somebody gets hurt
- 22:54Speaker 6: in training camp on another team, then another team might
- 22:57Speaker 6: get desperate and aggressively after.
- 23:00Speaker 4: I want to wake up on June first and have
- 23:03Speaker 4: the news already broken.
- 23:04Speaker 6: Well, it feels like Schefter has the tweet in the
- 23:06Speaker 6: drafts like that's like how if she's talking.
- 23:08Speaker 1: If Shifter's right, this thing happens right away.
- 23:11Speaker 6: Yeah, you don't want to the only like people are
- 23:14Speaker 6: so worried about somebody swooping in. I would only be
- 23:16Speaker 6: worried about that if we get into training camp and
- 23:19Speaker 6: some contender loses their number one wide receiver to a
- 23:23Speaker 6: practice injury, and then all of a sudden, you know,
- 23:25Speaker 6: there's another suitor.
- 23:26Speaker 1: I'm not so worried about. I think the market's the market.
- 23:29Speaker 6: Like I think they've kind of just figured out what
- 23:32Speaker 6: teams view AJ Brown as right now. That could always
- 23:35Speaker 6: change if a team gets desperate because of an injury.
- 23:38Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, let's see get my mouse working here.
- 23:44Speaker 1: We'll go to Virginia. Cam is in Virginia. What's up, Cam?
- 23:49Speaker 15: Hey, guys, how's it going?
- 23:50Speaker 7: Can you hear me?
- 23:50Speaker 1: Okay, we can.
- 23:53Speaker 15: Hey, Well, thanks for having me on. Been a long
- 23:55Speaker 15: time listener since Mac jones hers and it's been a
- 23:58Speaker 15: fun ride. So thinks really entertaining. And then I've got
- 24:01Speaker 15: a quick story that I think is topical, especially if
- 24:04Speaker 15: they kill low mood debate right tackle versus left tackle
- 24:08Speaker 15: and kind of switching sides of the line. So in
- 24:11Speaker 15: high school I actually got to play against Harold Landry
- 24:14Speaker 15: I was playing left tackle and give up three stacks
- 24:17Speaker 15: against them. So rough nights, say the least, But in
- 24:22Speaker 15: that regard, I actually ended up playing left and right
- 24:26Speaker 15: in college. Our I guess offense had a bit of
- 24:29Speaker 15: a unique system where both the guards and tackles got
- 24:33Speaker 15: to a quick side and a strong side, and they
- 24:36Speaker 15: would actually switch switch sides depending on all the players
- 24:39Speaker 15: that we're in. And I got to say, I think
- 24:42Speaker 15: it's a lot easier to switch sides of the line
- 24:45Speaker 15: then maybe folks are making it out to be. I
- 24:48Speaker 15: know it's different for some guys, but if you don't
- 24:51Speaker 15: think about it, if you just kind of go out
- 24:53Speaker 15: and do it, I think it's a lot easier. And
- 24:55Speaker 15: I think he's got a real shot out right tackle.
- 24:57Speaker 15: So all I got there, Thank you?
- 24:59Speaker 3: All right, So an endorsement for Caleb to be able
- 25:03Speaker 3: to go from left to right. And you know, Evan,
- 25:06Speaker 3: you talked to his coach and yeah, he seems pretty
- 25:09Speaker 3: confident he's gonna be able to do it too.
- 25:11Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 25:11Speaker 6: I think that the two things that you know, just
- 25:13Speaker 6: talking to his coach and some of the other coaches
- 25:16Speaker 6: was just one. He's so athletic, so like that it's
- 25:21Speaker 6: probably not as big of an issue for guys that
- 25:24Speaker 6: have that kind of elite, you know, first round caliber
- 25:26Speaker 6: athleticism as it is for others. And you know, he
- 25:30Speaker 6: he kind of explained the circumstances, circumstances that led them
- 25:34Speaker 6: down that road and how Spencer ferout kind of volunteered
- 25:38Speaker 6: to play on the right side and then it just
- 25:39Speaker 6: sort of stuck that way and that was their their
- 25:42Speaker 6: best five combination. But yeah, he didn't seem Jim Harding,
- 25:46Speaker 6: his offensive line coach at Utah is now at Michigan,
- 25:50Speaker 6: didn't seem concerned at all about him switching. You know,
- 25:53Speaker 6: he had some other nitpicks of his game that he
- 25:56Speaker 6: was honest about, but that one, he was like, No,
- 25:58Speaker 6: that's not had nothing to do with him not being
- 26:01Speaker 6: able to play right tackle, had nothing to do with
- 26:04Speaker 6: anything other than it just kind of worked out that way.
- 26:06Speaker 1: And we just didn't touch it.
- 26:08Speaker 3: Yeah, so how do we talk to Caleb about being
- 26:11Speaker 3: mean because that's the one nitpicked that I think is
- 26:14Speaker 3: without being mean constant, like he needs to add some
- 26:18Speaker 3: nastiness to his game. Could we ask him give us
- 26:21Speaker 3: your nasty face, see what that looks like.
- 26:25Speaker 6: Uh, that was the one thing that was honest about, right,
- 26:28Speaker 6: he said, You.
- 26:29Speaker 1: Know, I hope he was honest about everything.
- 26:31Speaker 6: Uh, you know, you never know what these interviews red.
- 26:33Speaker 6: I'm not gonna lie to you. And sometimes you got
- 26:35Speaker 6: a glowing Yeah, we threw all the the the you know,
- 26:41Speaker 6: the glowing reviews and stuff like that from their coaches.
- 26:44Speaker 6: But he was honest about it, and he said, you
- 26:47Speaker 6: know that was the one area that you know, he
- 26:49Speaker 6: could be a little bit more of a prick, I
- 26:51Speaker 6: think is the way that he would it. And but
- 26:53Speaker 6: he said that in no way does that outweigh all
- 26:57Speaker 6: the positives about him as a player. But if there
- 26:59Speaker 6: was one thing that he would have to say was
- 27:02Speaker 6: a quote unquote negative, it would be bad. But he said,
- 27:05Speaker 6: there's a million things that are great.
- 27:06Speaker 3: I wonder like, as a coach, how that manifests itself?
- 27:09Speaker 3: Like how do they know like, oh, you needed to
- 27:12Speaker 3: be meaner there? Like what like what does that look like? Well?
- 27:16Speaker 6: I just think that there's like a there's a finish
- 27:19Speaker 6: to it, right, you know, playing through the whistle like
- 27:23Speaker 6: and you know, finishing blocks and when you get opportunities
- 27:27Speaker 6: to put guys in compromised positions or put them on
- 27:30Speaker 6: the ground.
- 27:30Speaker 1: Like do you go that extra bat to get that done?
- 27:34Speaker 3: But does that matter more than just getting the job done?
- 27:37Speaker 3: You know you're talking about you talk about style points
- 27:40Speaker 3: really right?
- 27:40Speaker 1: Are right?
- 27:41Speaker 6: I think that there's questions about that when it comes
- 27:46Speaker 6: to that kind of stuff, like all these guys that
- 27:48Speaker 6: are drafted as high as Caleb Bloom, who have the
- 27:50Speaker 6: physical talent to play in the NFL. They have the athleticism,
- 27:54Speaker 6: they have the size, they have all those different types
- 27:56Speaker 6: of things. But I think that the question is more
- 27:58Speaker 6: about like that mentality in that hunger to not only
- 28:02Speaker 6: finish blocks and that sort of thing, but also, you know,
- 28:05Speaker 6: get better and improve on your craft and all that
- 28:08Speaker 6: kind of stuff. And that was the one thing that
- 28:10Speaker 6: coach Harding said was, you know, this is a he's
- 28:13Speaker 6: a he's a student of the game, and this is
- 28:15Speaker 6: the guy that would ask for the coaches to create
- 28:18Speaker 6: cutups of you know, film that he could study of
- 28:22Speaker 6: opponents of himself, of the greats in the NFL. You know,
- 28:25Speaker 6: he said that they would watch like Trent Williams and
- 28:28Speaker 6: you know guys like that in the NFL and study
- 28:31Speaker 6: their habits in their games.
- 28:32Speaker 1: So he definitely puts the work in.
- 28:36Speaker 6: I think that you're just looking for a little bit
- 28:38Speaker 6: more strength play strength, like raw power and a little
- 28:41Speaker 6: bit more nasty and like that I think is something
- 28:44Speaker 6: that maybe this coaching staff is perfectly built to bring
- 28:48Speaker 6: out of somebody with buttons.
- 28:50Speaker 3: Yeah, reads in South Carolina, what's up?
- 28:54Speaker 16: Reid Hey, First off, I want to thank you guys
- 28:57Speaker 16: for your show, sure and watching it for many years.
- 29:00Speaker 16: You guys, you're all amazing.
- 29:01Speaker 1: Thank you appreciate that.
- 29:04Speaker 16: I have just kind of two questions. Being a Pass
- 29:07Speaker 16: fan for over fifty five years now, I've seen a
- 29:10Speaker 16: lot of different kind of teams that come out each year,
- 29:14Speaker 16: and obviously each one's different. My main concern is I
- 29:17Speaker 16: believe we're like a top ten defense near the end
- 29:20Speaker 16: of the year, maybe even better. As far as that's concern,
- 29:25Speaker 16: What do you see as far as our defense this year?
- 29:28Speaker 16: Is you're gonna be as good is You're gonna fall
- 29:30Speaker 16: back a little bit. And then the second question I
- 29:33Speaker 16: have is really a concern is our running back position.
- 29:37Speaker 16: I think we got two good running backs with Henderson
- 29:40Speaker 16: and Stevenson. But my concern with Henderson is they keep
- 29:43Speaker 16: trying to run him up the middle. He gets them
- 29:45Speaker 16: two yards two yards unless he breaks it somehow, and
- 29:49Speaker 16: you know, we're not really doing much as far as
- 29:52Speaker 16: other than that. He gets a lot of yards when
- 29:53Speaker 16: he can break it. But other than that, kind of
- 29:56Speaker 16: concerned about that, do you think a better line is
- 29:59Speaker 16: gonna help him? This about all I have, And again,
- 30:02Speaker 16: thank you for letting me watch your show and.
- 30:05Speaker 1: Thanks for the nice words.
- 30:07Speaker 3: I mean, in terms of the running game, I do
- 30:09Speaker 3: think the line's going to be better this year. But
- 30:12Speaker 3: I also think you're right last year, when you know
- 30:15Speaker 3: Henderson was running up the middle, he didn't seem.
- 30:17Speaker 1: To get the.
- 30:19Speaker 3: You know, that extra yr that Stevenson would be able
- 30:23Speaker 3: to get. And I think part of that is just
- 30:24Speaker 3: being a rookie and being a little indecisive, you know,
- 30:28Speaker 3: and just going where you're supposed to go and and
- 30:31Speaker 3: not you know, having that vision that Stevenson seems to have.
- 30:35Speaker 3: But I think he's going to get better at that,
- 30:38Speaker 3: and mostly it's going to be because I think the
- 30:41Speaker 3: holes will be a little bit more apparent for him
- 30:43Speaker 3: because of the line.
- 30:44Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, I mean I'm really excited about their running game.
- 30:47Speaker 6: I think that has a real chance to be a
- 30:48Speaker 6: strength of their team.
- 30:50Speaker 3: Uh.
- 30:50Speaker 1: You know, they sign a full back and Regie Gilliam
- 30:53Speaker 1: Julian Hill. I think that help to Elijah Barat Tucker.
- 30:57Speaker 6: They really put a lot of resources into improving the
- 31:00Speaker 6: running game this offseason in terms of the blocking, and
- 31:03Speaker 6: I think that that's the biggest thing with any running
- 31:06Speaker 6: game is more so than what the back does is
- 31:08Speaker 6: with the offensive line and the blocking and all that
- 31:11Speaker 6: kind of stuff. So I think that they have a
- 31:14Speaker 6: lot more at their fingertips to kind of play with
- 31:18Speaker 6: I guess, you know, a lot in the more in
- 31:20Speaker 6: the arsenal for Josh.
- 31:21Speaker 1: McDaniels, and look, it can only help a.
- 31:23Speaker 6: Running back that has that kind of speed but doesn't
- 31:26Speaker 6: have great vision to put a full back in front
- 31:27Speaker 6: of him and say just follow Reggie and he's gonna
- 31:30Speaker 6: do it for you.
- 31:31Speaker 1: You know, he's going to open the hole for you.
- 31:32Speaker 6: So I think that that's all things that they've really
- 31:36Speaker 6: wanted to get stronger, tougher, more consistent with the run
- 31:40Speaker 6: game all offseason long has been a talking point, especially
- 31:43Speaker 6: for Mike Frable, and they went out and did a
- 31:46Speaker 6: lot of things to do that. So I would also
- 31:48Speaker 6: just say, like with Henderson, you know, he's a home
- 31:51Speaker 6: run back, like he's not, he's not going to be
- 31:55Speaker 6: the most consistent.
- 31:56Speaker 3: But they didn't need him to go up the middle
- 31:58Speaker 3: at times, you know, but but he's going up.
- 32:00Speaker 6: The middle to set things up like he's going up
- 32:03Speaker 6: the middle, uh, because on occasion he's going to run
- 32:06Speaker 6: through the middle of the field.
- 32:07Speaker 1: But it's hard.
- 32:07Speaker 3: It doesn't really set things up if you lose the yard.
- 32:10Speaker 3: You know, you want it to be positive, you want.
- 32:12Speaker 1: To be positive.
- 32:13Speaker 6: But I would just say that, you know, Remandre is
- 32:16Speaker 6: he's thunder and Henderson's lightly so, Like I just wouldn't
- 32:19Speaker 6: expect Henderson to be this all around type of runner,
- 32:25Speaker 6: Like I don't think that that's how he's built.
- 32:27Speaker 1: I don't think that's his game. I don't think that's.
- 32:29Speaker 6: How he played at Ohio State when he was with
- 32:31Speaker 6: Quinn Shawn Jenkins, Like he's not. You know, Remandre is
- 32:34Speaker 6: here to hit the singles and doubles and Henderson's here
- 32:36Speaker 6: to hit the home runs. And hopefully that continues to
- 32:40Speaker 6: they can kind of get that firing together. I think
- 32:43Speaker 6: last year that was the one thing that didn't happen
- 32:46Speaker 6: is they were kind of trading off. Henderson had that
- 32:48Speaker 6: really big, like October and November stretch, and then Remandre
- 32:52Speaker 6: finished the season really strong, but they weren't able to
- 32:54Speaker 6: kind of get them both going at the same.
- 32:56Speaker 1: Time, right.
- 32:57Speaker 3: And then his first question about does think the defense
- 33:01Speaker 3: is going to be better than last year? And I
- 33:02Speaker 3: think on paper, I think yes, a lot of it
- 33:06Speaker 3: will have to do with injuries. They got pretty lucky
- 33:08Speaker 3: last year until you know, towards the end when Spileane
- 33:11Speaker 3: got hurt.
- 33:12Speaker 1: And but you.
- 33:14Speaker 3: Know, Carlton Davis has that scare every other game where
- 33:18Speaker 3: you know he goes down, it's like, oh, thank goodness.
- 33:22Speaker 3: But you know that's that's always, you know, a question mark.
- 33:26Speaker 3: I do think, you know, in terms of safety, I'm
- 33:29Speaker 3: excited about this safety pair. You know, Byered, he's older,
- 33:33Speaker 3: but he's been very durable, very good. And then Woodson
- 33:36Speaker 3: played his best ball at the end of the season.
- 33:39Speaker 3: So I'm really excited to see that pair that's so.
- 33:41Speaker 10: Good in the s. Yeah.
- 33:43Speaker 6: Yeah, So hopefully they create more turnovers with Byed I
- 33:46Speaker 6: think that's the idea. They weren't a big takeaway defense
- 33:49Speaker 6: last year. I think they're trying to create more turnovers.
- 33:52Speaker 6: I think the defensive ceiling depends on what happens on
- 33:56Speaker 6: the edges. Like is Draymond Jones an upgrade over calebon
- 33:59Speaker 6: Chason is Is that a wash?
- 34:01Speaker 1: Is that a downgrade? Right? That's a question.
- 34:03Speaker 6: And then obviously what you get out of the rookie
- 34:06Speaker 6: gay accus on the other side, if he's already better
- 34:09Speaker 6: than Harold Landry then you are going to take a
- 34:12Speaker 6: step forward. I think that there's a lot riding on
- 34:15Speaker 6: those two Landry and Akis, Like one of those guys
- 34:18Speaker 6: has to play and play a lot and play a
- 34:21Speaker 6: significant amount of snaps and also produce at a high
- 34:24Speaker 6: level for the defense to be better than it was
- 34:27Speaker 6: last And I'll.
- 34:28Speaker 3: Make a prediction right now, Christian Barmore will have his
- 34:32Speaker 3: best season today. Wow, better than twenty twenty three. Yeah,
- 34:35Speaker 3: he is really good twenty He's gonna have his best season.
- 34:39Speaker 1: I mean they still have those two guys inside.
- 34:42Speaker 6: If Acis and Draymont Jones can be a little bit
- 34:45Speaker 6: better than Landry and Chase on as a pairing as
- 34:47Speaker 6: a duo, then I think they have a chance to
- 34:50Speaker 6: take the step forward. But other than that, I kind
- 34:53Speaker 6: of feel like the defense is pretty much the same
- 34:54Speaker 6: as it was last year. Buyern's an upgrade over Hawkins
- 34:57Speaker 6: like that. That's a fun one that I hopefully they
- 34:59Speaker 6: get a little bit.
- 35:00Speaker 10: My favorite move this offseason.
- 35:03Speaker 1: It is fired.
- 35:04Speaker 3: Yeah, let's see branded from Lexington, writes in a podcast
- 35:09Speaker 3: at Patriots dot Com. I know it's officially the off season,
- 35:12Speaker 3: so apologies for hitting you with a football question, but
- 35:15Speaker 3: I need Evan to put a name to the claim.
- 35:17Speaker 1: Okay, cool Evan made it clear.
- 35:19Speaker 3: He wasn't a big fan of the Patriots taking Lomu
- 35:21Speaker 3: at twenty eight overall, but I don't think he actually
- 35:24Speaker 3: said who he'd have preferred there.
- 35:26Speaker 6: It's a good point. We're a couple of weeks removed. Now,
- 35:30Speaker 6: I need to think of who went after that. Let
- 35:38Speaker 6: me come back to that one. I gotta remember the
- 35:40Speaker 6: order of the draft now. And yeah, I mean it's
- 35:44Speaker 6: a fair point. I just I think that there's an
- 35:47Speaker 6: argument to be made that the board didn't exactly follow
- 35:49Speaker 6: their way in that regard. You know, they they kind
- 35:52Speaker 6: of missed out on like the case he concepci owns
- 35:55Speaker 6: the mesadors like those types of player went already obviously Jonnachoran,
- 35:59Speaker 6: Blake Miller and higher. That that's fair. I mean, I
- 36:03Speaker 6: just it wasn't my guy. Like I have said that
- 36:05Speaker 6: multiple times. I don't I might be wrong or he
- 36:09Speaker 6: you know, that doesn't mean I think he stinks. I
- 36:11Speaker 6: just it just wasn't the tackle that I thought was
- 36:13Speaker 6: going to be their guy, or I would have drafted there.
- 36:15Speaker 6: But that's a good question. He put me on the spot. Okay,
- 36:19Speaker 6: I appreciate it. Put the name to the claim. You
- 36:21Speaker 6: always say that about other people.
- 36:22Speaker 1: I do say that. No, it's a valid it's a
- 36:24Speaker 1: valid take, okay.
- 36:27Speaker 3: Chris writes in my favorite part of every episode is
- 36:30Speaker 3: when Evan says something and then one minute after he's
- 36:32Speaker 3: done speaking, Fred says the exact same thing as he was,
- 36:35Speaker 3: obviously ignoring Evan, and who can blame him? It happened
- 36:39Speaker 3: again Tuesday when Evan was talking about Yakis wearing number
- 36:42Speaker 3: fifty in it being Rabel's old number. As soon as
- 36:45Speaker 3: he was done, Fred says, well, the numbers are out.
- 36:47Speaker 3: Did you see that Akus is wearing a Brabel's old number.
- 36:50Speaker 1: That did happen? It happened. I did too, But you
- 36:54Speaker 1: don't do that to just me that I don't.
- 36:56Speaker 6: Yeah, you do that pretty, but we didn't have me
- 36:58Speaker 6: induced like kind of made eye contact on it, but
- 37:01Speaker 6: we just sort of.
- 37:01Speaker 1: You should have made fun of me fun. I don't care.
- 37:05Speaker 1: That's what Paul's for. He wasn't here.
- 37:07Speaker 3: Chris also says I've never watched Star Wars and want
- 37:09Speaker 3: to want to with my daughter. Would you watch them
- 37:13Speaker 3: in the order of the original release or the episode number?
- 37:15Speaker 3: Where do the other movies slash shows of Star Wars
- 37:18Speaker 3: fit in. George Lucas said in an interview, he suggested
- 37:21Speaker 3: first time watchers to watch them in order of.
- 37:24Speaker 1: The episode numbers.
- 37:26Speaker 3: I would always say, I used to always say, no,
- 37:29Speaker 3: watch them in order of the release, But now I'm changed.
- 37:33Speaker 3: I think I think you watching them in order of
- 37:37Speaker 3: the episode number. In other words, watch the fourth one
- 37:42Speaker 3: that came out first, and watch four, five, six, and
- 37:45Speaker 3: then go back and watch the original three. Makes more
- 37:50Speaker 3: sense storyline, you know, so you get the full storyline, uh,
- 37:55Speaker 3: you know, the story arc of it. And then I
- 37:58Speaker 3: would say, after you watch those six, you know, going
- 38:01Speaker 3: to the other ones that came out afterwards, and all
- 38:04Speaker 3: the TV ones.
- 38:06Speaker 10: Sit this one out.
- 38:07Speaker 6: I just feel like to me and I do somebody
- 38:10Speaker 6: that grew up with the prequels like that they came
- 38:13Speaker 6: out when I was a kid, But like the original three,
- 38:16Speaker 6: I kind of put it on its own pedestal still,
- 38:19Speaker 6: Like I the prequels like were fine, They were all fine.
- 38:23Speaker 6: They all had good moments that there was, you know,
- 38:25Speaker 6: good action sequences in certain movies like do you really
- 38:30Speaker 6: need to waste your time watching Attack of the Clones?
- 38:32Speaker 6: That movie's not good. It's not good. It just isn't
- 38:36Speaker 6: like Phantom Menaces. It got its like nostalgia pieces and
- 38:40Speaker 6: it's got good parts.
- 38:42Speaker 1: Uh.
- 38:43Speaker 6: Sith is a good movie. Revenge of This is a
- 38:45Speaker 6: good movie. Yeah, Attack of Now the other thing, go ahead.
- 38:48Speaker 3: The other thing.
- 38:48Speaker 1: I'm depending on how oldest daughter is.
- 38:51Speaker 3: If she's like really young, if she's like under twelve,
- 38:55Speaker 3: then I would probably say start with the one that
- 38:58Speaker 3: was released first, the original one. You know, I just
- 39:01Speaker 3: think the original one.
- 39:03Speaker 6: That's that's the real Star Wars, right, like all this
- 39:05Speaker 6: other stuff is, well.
- 39:07Speaker 3: They're all Star Wars.
- 39:08Speaker 1: No, you know, I don't do the TV shows.
- 39:11Speaker 9: Well, the rumor that came out yesterday is that the
- 39:14Speaker 9: Nielsen ratings came out after May fourth, and nobody watched
- 39:17Speaker 9: the new trilogy the Accolte anything new besides Mandalorian really
- 39:22Speaker 9: and or so they're talking I'm looking at it right now.
- 39:25Speaker 9: They're talking about redcon the new trilogy altogether and basically
- 39:29Speaker 9: taking away the numbers and then redoing the sequel trilogy. Really,
- 39:33Speaker 9: they've lost billions on Star Wars Disney.
- 39:36Speaker 1: Yeah, because they they ruined it. Interesting, they just.
- 39:40Speaker 12: But here's the thing.
- 39:41Speaker 9: He just designed Galaxy's Edge based off that trilogy.
- 39:45Speaker 12: What does Disney do?
- 39:46Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, I just if you're gonna like say, I'm
- 39:51Speaker 6: introducing somebody to Star Wars, I think you got to
- 39:53Speaker 6: start with the originals, like that's that's Star Wars.
- 39:57Speaker 1: If they like it, then you go back.
- 40:00Speaker 3: Reginals is when it came out in nineteen seventy seven,
- 40:03Speaker 3: it was like the technology and the CGI was like
- 40:06Speaker 3: something you'd never seen before. You know, when that Imperial
- 40:09Speaker 3: Cruiser comes over in the first scene, I was in
- 40:12Speaker 3: awe because you'd never seen that on a movie screen before. Now,
- 40:15Speaker 3: the technology with movies is so great. When you watch
- 40:18Speaker 3: those originals, it's it's kind of campy. It's kind of
- 40:21Speaker 3: you know, like old school, and like, I agree, but
- 40:25Speaker 3: younger kids might get distracted by.
- 40:27Speaker 1: That still holds on, you know, it's still great. I
- 40:30Speaker 1: think so, but I don't know, like you know.
- 40:34Speaker 12: I just feel with you.
- 40:35Speaker 9: I say, you got to watch them in the original
- 40:37Speaker 9: way they were released, but at the same time.
- 40:39Speaker 12: And I used to say that for my son, especially because.
- 40:41Speaker 9: I didn't want Darth Vader being the dad spoiled stuff
- 40:44Speaker 9: like that. But he already knows all that stuff without
- 40:46Speaker 9: ever watching them.
- 40:47Speaker 1: So I just feel like if you need the new stuff, if.
- 40:49Speaker 6: You're trying to get like a kid into Star Wars,
- 40:52Speaker 6: Phantom Menace has a chance because of all the action
- 40:55Speaker 6: and you know, all the pod racing and all that
- 40:57Speaker 6: kind of Like as a kid, I thought that stuff
- 40:59Speaker 6: was wicked cool. As an adult, I was like, this
- 41:02Speaker 6: movie had a lot of work that needed to be
- 41:04Speaker 6: done to it for it to be a good movie.
- 41:06Speaker 6: But as a kid, like when they're flying around in
- 41:08Speaker 6: spaceships and fighting with lightsabers, they're like, Wow, this is awesome.
- 41:12Speaker 6: So I guess if you're trying to get a kid
- 41:13Speaker 6: into it, like maybe that's a little bit more.
- 41:15Speaker 12: Why Mandalorian's working is Yeah, I love Yeah, it's doing well.
- 41:23Speaker 1: Of course too much.
- 41:25Speaker 3: Pedro also Chris Chris says Evan was slightly wrong about
- 41:30Speaker 3: the Celtic salary cap. They were under the cap this season,
- 41:34Speaker 3: but if they go over it again next season, they
- 41:36Speaker 3: would still be considered repeat offenders as they were over
- 41:40Speaker 3: it for two out of the previous three seasons, so
- 41:42Speaker 3: I expect them to remain under it again next season,
- 41:45Speaker 3: so no big moves.
- 41:46Speaker 1: Unfortunately, this offseason.
- 41:48Speaker 6: I highly doubt it they actually they're actually over the
- 41:52Speaker 6: salary cap, they are under the aprons and under the
- 41:54Speaker 6: luxury tax threshold. If you watch Brad Stevens's press conference
- 41:58Speaker 6: yesterday and think that they're not going to do anything
- 42:00Speaker 6: this offseason, then I don't know what press conference you
- 42:02Speaker 6: were watching.
- 42:03Speaker 4: Speaking of Fred's predictions, what did you say that Tuesday
- 42:06Speaker 4: about the Jay's getting split up? And now yesterday there's
- 42:09Speaker 4: all these grumblings about Jen Brown.
- 42:12Speaker 1: Did you watch them?
- 42:12Speaker 6: Did you watch him on stream last night? Because I did.
- 42:15Speaker 6: He put the lips to the toothpaste back in the tube.
- 42:19Speaker 1: Yeah, but don't worry about it. He's fine.
- 42:21Speaker 6: He was just like that was like a good you know,
- 42:25Speaker 6: it was probably a good discussion about these athletes going
- 42:29Speaker 6: directly to the fans on these streams and stuff like that.
- 42:32Speaker 6: He did a stream less than twenty four hours after
- 42:34Speaker 6: getting eliminated from the playoffs, and I don't think he
- 42:37Speaker 6: really had had the time to process.
- 42:40Speaker 4: But I'm not even thinking about his stream. I'm thinking
- 42:42Speaker 4: about Tracy McGrady, who is his mentor, and who I.
- 42:46Speaker 6: Hear like Tracy McGrady was kind of talking out of
- 42:51Speaker 6: his butt, So maybe last night Jalen Brown went on
- 42:54Speaker 6: his stream and said he if it was up to him,
- 42:55Speaker 6: he'd retire a Celtic, he'd be Celtic for the next time.
- 42:58Speaker 6: I know he said that, So I think, you know,
- 43:00Speaker 6: when you go on your stream twenty four hours later
- 43:04Speaker 6: after you just lost in kind of humiliating fashion in
- 43:07Speaker 6: the first round, you're still emotional about it. And he,
- 43:10Speaker 6: you know, he took he probably got it talking to
- 43:13Speaker 6: I am sure about you know, some of his comments
- 43:15Speaker 6: he got fined by the league or some of his
- 43:17Speaker 6: other comments, and he kind of walked it back a
- 43:20Speaker 6: little bit.
- 43:20Speaker 3: Last night, James Pettigrew, the most interesting Patriots fan in
- 43:24Speaker 3: the world, says, I disagree with Fred. I find the
- 43:26Speaker 3: original job of the Hut model from Return of the
- 43:29Speaker 3: Jedi way better than the CGI versions.
- 43:31Speaker 1: Now.
- 43:32Speaker 3: I still think the effect from the old one holds
- 43:34Speaker 3: up and the new ones look really fake at some point. Well,
- 43:37Speaker 3: the reason they had to do this because the original
- 43:39Speaker 3: job of the Hut died, he passed away, so they
- 43:41Speaker 3: had to go CEGI with the new one.
- 43:45Speaker 10: No one I've seen. I think the first one one,
- 43:48Speaker 10: the original.
- 43:49Speaker 6: The original Joba. Yeah, I so, but they've done like
- 43:53Speaker 6: a lot of the things that are now CGI though,
- 43:56Speaker 6: like in the New one, which is it's fine, like
- 43:59Speaker 6: I I, that's not what bothers me about the New Ones.
- 44:02Speaker 6: The New ones would like the plot in the writing
- 44:05Speaker 6: is just terrible, like that's it's not about CGI or
- 44:09Speaker 6: anything like that. It's just we could have done better here,
- 44:12Speaker 6: that's all.
- 44:13Speaker 3: But so, but here's put it going back to the
- 44:17Speaker 3: original three, going about how bad it was going back
- 44:22Speaker 3: to the Original three versus the new ones that came out.
- 44:24Speaker 3: The technology in the original three is obviously not as good.
- 44:28Speaker 3: But the explanation that they give for that is because
- 44:32Speaker 3: the Original three came after the Empire took over, and
- 44:38Speaker 3: the Empire took away all the rebels technology, so they
- 44:42Speaker 3: kind of had to start from scratch, which is a
- 44:45Speaker 3: reflection of the Original three. Their technology, isn't it advanced
- 44:49Speaker 3: as the rebel technology in the later movies, which actually
- 44:53Speaker 3: happened before you know what I'm saying, the Empire, you know,
- 44:59Speaker 3: the original read chronologically happened before the New Three, and
- 45:04Speaker 3: so by that time, the Empire had stripped the Rebel
- 45:07Speaker 3: alliance of all their taken away all their.
- 45:09Speaker 1: Cool sea the.
- 45:13Speaker 12: Gaps between the movies, right, you're.
- 45:14Speaker 6: Saying the original the New Three as in like the
- 45:17Speaker 6: ones with Ray and Kyloe.
- 45:19Speaker 17: Yeah yeah, yeah, okay, yeah yeah yeah so I I yes,
- 45:22Speaker 17: well that right because the Phantom Menace in those movies
- 45:26Speaker 17: is the prequel, then the Originals and then these new movies,
- 45:29Speaker 17: and yeah.
- 45:30Speaker 3: You would take all of their prequels. Why does the
- 45:31Speaker 3: technology look better in those? It's because they had better technology.
- 45:36Speaker 3: But then the Empire took over and they got rid
- 45:41Speaker 3: of all their stuff and they had to start from scratch.
- 45:42Speaker 3: They became scavengers and had to rebuild their arsenal.
- 45:48Speaker 4: That's like what they say about our civilization, like the
- 45:51Speaker 4: pyramids in Egypt and Guatemala, and then some cataclysmic event
- 45:55Speaker 4: happens and wipes out this very advanced society we used
- 45:58Speaker 4: to have it right started.
- 45:59Speaker 3: I mean, for all we know, Like I don't want
- 46:01Speaker 3: to get like we're going to go down a rabbit
- 46:03Speaker 3: hole here, but like, yeah, you know, we know from
- 46:06Speaker 3: archaeology and all this stuff of like.
- 46:08Speaker 1: Some things that happened.
- 46:09Speaker 3: But for all we know, there was a period on
- 46:11Speaker 3: this planet where technology was even more advanced than it
- 46:14Speaker 3: is now. But it was so recyclable that when this
- 46:18Speaker 3: cataclysmic thing happened, there.
- 46:20Speaker 1: Was no trace of it.
- 46:22Speaker 3: There was no trace, but there could have been a
- 46:24Speaker 3: part where we can't determine from archaeology or from geology
- 46:29Speaker 3: what happened because it just vanished.
- 46:31Speaker 1: Like you're talking like like dinosaurs and stuff like that.
- 46:35Speaker 3: Or maybe after dinosaurs or before dinosaurs.
- 46:38Speaker 7: We know.
- 46:38Speaker 6: I feel like if we we would be able to
- 46:40Speaker 6: know if it was after like we know everything about
- 46:43Speaker 6: the dinosaurs.
- 46:44Speaker 1: We do because those bones didn't go away.
- 46:46Speaker 6: So you're saying that you think that there could have
- 46:48Speaker 6: been a highly technically savvy civilization.
- 46:53Speaker 1: That we have no trace of, have no trace.
- 46:57Speaker 4: There's an awesome Netflix documentary about this called Apocalypse.
- 47:01Speaker 10: I don't know how credible Graham Hancock.
- 47:03Speaker 4: Is, who's the guy that kind of leads this documentary
- 47:07Speaker 4: and produces it, But it all adds up to me,
- 47:10Speaker 4: like it's very fascinating, Like how were we building those pyramids?
- 47:13Speaker 4: They were so precise, Like the way what did you say,
- 47:19Speaker 4: that's the tribe that built everything right, and like things
- 47:22Speaker 4: lined up perfectly with like directly north on the summer
- 47:27Speaker 4: or the summer solstice, and like the way it ties
- 47:30Speaker 4: in with.
- 47:31Speaker 1: Like the stars, and it's all explainable. That part's explainable.
- 47:34Speaker 3: You know, we look at these people back then as oh,
- 47:36Speaker 3: they weren't as intelligent as we are.
- 47:38Speaker 1: No, they were as intelligent.
- 47:40Speaker 3: They understood like what was going on, you know, in
- 47:43Speaker 3: terms of direction of of you know, the solicits. So
- 47:47Speaker 3: maybe they didn't understand like what revolved around what, but
- 47:51Speaker 3: they thinking back then, Yeah, we do. Now. They were
- 47:56Speaker 3: looking up in the stars just as much as we were.
- 47:58Speaker 3: So I can understand building something that over time lined
- 48:03Speaker 3: up a certain way. And in terms of how those
- 48:05Speaker 3: pyramids uh got built, there's a lot of explanation.
- 48:09Speaker 1: One of it is water.
- 48:10Speaker 3: Like they built these giant rafts and they would raise
- 48:13Speaker 3: the water and the water would do a lot of
- 48:15Speaker 3: the work to get the these huge blocks up.
- 48:17Speaker 10: So the desert in Egypt would have had to been river. Yeah.
- 48:22Speaker 1: So it's fascinating not technology. Well it was technology back then. Yeah,
- 48:28Speaker 1: but it wasn't like they were like, no, it wasn't.
- 48:30Speaker 10: I think we had a super advanced se We had to.
- 48:33Speaker 3: Start from Aliens.
- 48:35Speaker 4: It was either aliens there was a cataclysmic event that
- 48:39Speaker 4: wiped out everything we had and covered Atlantis and covered it.
- 48:45Speaker 12: They were giants.
- 48:47Speaker 1: They were giants.
- 48:48Speaker 3: Okay, Well, if they were giants, we'd have giant bones, right, I.
- 48:53Speaker 12: Haven't found them yet.
- 48:54Speaker 1: Okay, I haven't gone down this. I haven't.
- 48:59Speaker 6: I don't have enough like education to speak on this
- 49:03Speaker 6: of what the possibilities are. I usually am a conspiracy.
- 49:07Speaker 10: But it's fun to talk about with drinks.
- 49:09Speaker 1: With your friends.
- 49:09Speaker 3: Oh I love this kind of stuff.
- 49:12Speaker 10: Watch Ancient Apocalypse.
- 49:13Speaker 1: Okay, good stuff. I don't know. This time of year,
- 49:17Speaker 1: we got some time to fill. You know, it's a busy.
- 49:19Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 49:20Speaker 1: I want to believe in aliens. I mean, but you
- 49:23Speaker 1: don't believe in aliens.
- 49:24Speaker 3: No. I believe that somewhere out there, but they're never
- 49:27Speaker 3: We're never going to come in contact with them, and
- 49:31Speaker 3: uh maybe not.
- 49:31Speaker 1: People have times see that.
- 49:34Speaker 3: That's the thing when you when you talk about our lifetimes.
- 49:37Speaker 3: Let's talk about the total existence of humans as a species,
- 49:42Speaker 3: and even you think, oh that we've been around a
- 49:45Speaker 3: long time.
- 49:45Speaker 1: No we haven't. It's like that.
- 49:47Speaker 3: Oh yeah, And so what we're doing is, in that
- 49:50Speaker 3: snap of a finger, we're hoping that within that time,
- 49:53Speaker 3: aliens from light years away are going to meet up
- 49:56Speaker 3: with us. The odds of that happening beyond just you know,
- 50:01Speaker 3: defeeding space travel is infintesibly small because we are only
- 50:06Speaker 3: here in the blink of an eye.
- 50:09Speaker 6: I'm fully convinced that so like the government knows that
- 50:12Speaker 6: aliens exists and they just don't tell anybody.
- 50:15Speaker 10: I think they do.
- 50:16Speaker 3: I'm fully I think if aliens.
- 50:19Speaker 6: Boble like kind of slipped up on it in an
- 50:21Speaker 6: interview like not too long ago, and what did he say?
- 50:24Speaker 1: And then he like was like, oh, I was only kidding.
- 50:26Speaker 9: I was like, Okay, it was all in the news
- 50:27Speaker 9: yesterday that a bunch of the pastors had to meet
- 50:29Speaker 9: with the government officials to figure out how to talk
- 50:32Speaker 9: to their flock.
- 50:32Speaker 12: When this all comes in and it all comes down
- 50:34Speaker 12: this lizard, I.
- 50:35Speaker 4: Think they've been slowly desensitizing us to the idea and then.
- 50:38Speaker 9: Eventually Steven Spielberg's new movie Disclosure Day.
- 50:43Speaker 3: I'm not saying that, like how many moays is he
- 50:45Speaker 3: going to have about aliens?
- 50:46Speaker 12: That's what he works for. He's been desensitizing us all these.
- 50:49Speaker 1: Years, right.
- 50:52Speaker 10: What to make movies about to sensitize us.
- 50:54Speaker 6: I'm not saying that like et is walking around or
- 50:57Speaker 6: something right like it could be in like a like
- 50:59Speaker 6: a what if the under a lot.
- 51:00Speaker 12: More look like the Gorn from Star Trek.
- 51:02Speaker 6: Yeah, or like something like I don't know what form
- 51:04Speaker 6: thery and I just I like, I think we we know.
- 51:07Speaker 1: I think we're I think they know.
- 51:09Speaker 4: What if the aliens are us from the future coming
- 51:12Speaker 4: back to warn us that like we're like really screwing
- 51:14Speaker 4: stuff up down here and we need to get our
- 51:17Speaker 4: act together.
- 51:17Speaker 1: It sounds like about a million movies that have been made.
- 51:20Speaker 4: I'm saying that moying to.
- 51:24Speaker 6: I also feel like most of the time, though we
- 51:26Speaker 6: think of aliens as being more advanced than us tech like,
- 51:30Speaker 6: technology wise, I think it's actually the opposite. I think
- 51:33Speaker 6: that like there's like there's living beings out there, but
- 51:37Speaker 6: I don't think that they're I think we're actually probably
- 51:40Speaker 6: further along than they.
- 51:42Speaker 3: I think it's I think it's a combination. I mean,
- 51:45Speaker 3: our bunds can't wrap around how you know. We think
- 51:50Speaker 3: of things in terms of time, and that's a made
- 51:55Speaker 3: up concept. We made that up to track things, to
- 51:57Speaker 3: keep track of things, but really time has no relevance
- 52:03Speaker 3: when it comes to existence, because are we.
- 52:08Speaker 1: Going to do this?
- 52:10Speaker 3: I just don't want no listen, I don't want people
- 52:13Speaker 3: to get mad that oh they're going off the rails here.
- 52:16Speaker 3: But here's the conundrum of the human mind. Okay, when
- 52:25Speaker 3: trying to figure out existence, you have two things that
- 52:28Speaker 3: you have to believe in, and both of them contradict
- 52:32Speaker 3: our way of thinking. One is that at one time
- 52:36Speaker 3: there was absolutely nothing and something came of nothing. We
- 52:41Speaker 3: can't comprehend that because in our mind nothing something cannot come.
- 52:47Speaker 1: Of nothing because like, what is nothing exactly? What is nothing?
- 52:51Speaker 3: If nothing is nothing, I mean nothing, then nothing can
- 52:55Speaker 3: come of it. So then if that can't happen, then
- 52:58Speaker 3: we have to believe that there was always something, which
- 53:03Speaker 3: also means there was never a beginning, and that's something
- 53:07Speaker 3: that our minds can't wrap around up right. We believe
- 53:11Speaker 3: that everything has a beginning because life has a beginning.
- 53:15Speaker 3: But no, if there was never nothing, then there was
- 53:19Speaker 3: always something. And if there was always something, then there
- 53:22Speaker 3: was no beginning. And then that throws out all our physics,
- 53:26Speaker 3: that throws out all our philosophies because now we have
- 53:29Speaker 3: to believe that there was always something. And now you say, okay, well, yes,
- 53:33Speaker 3: God was that thing that was always there all right?
- 53:36Speaker 3: Then what is God? If you believe we want to
- 53:40Speaker 3: go people believe God made us in his own image,
- 53:42Speaker 3: then that doesn't cut it. If God is like this force, Okay,
- 53:47Speaker 3: where did that force come from?
- 53:50Speaker 1: You know?
- 53:50Speaker 3: So like obviously the answer to existence something, the answer
- 53:56Speaker 3: to our existence and how did things start is something
- 53:59Speaker 3: that we cannot understand.
- 54:01Speaker 1: Yeah, we're not equipped and we have to beat something.
- 54:05Speaker 10: But now we have quantum computers and like.
- 54:07Speaker 4: Yeah it does what happens advanced it doesn't know. AI
- 54:11Speaker 4: is already like light years behind, like quantum computing.
- 54:15Speaker 10: That is the thing that's like really.
- 54:17Speaker 4: Gonna flip in our lifetime the world on its head.
- 54:20Speaker 1: I think the nothing concept is something that I do.
- 54:23Speaker 4: You get panic attacks. I don't know when I think
- 54:26Speaker 4: about it, but.
- 54:27Speaker 1: Not to get dark.
- 54:27Speaker 6: But like when I started losing my grandparents and stuff
- 54:30Speaker 6: like that, you like think about these kinds of things, right,
- 54:33Speaker 6: and like thinking about the concept of like there might
- 54:36Speaker 6: not be there might be nothing after this is like,
- 54:39Speaker 6: well what is nothing?
- 54:41Speaker 1: Like you just don't e like that. That gave me
- 54:44Speaker 1: a lot of sleepless nights. I was like freaked out
- 54:47Speaker 1: by it.
- 54:48Speaker 3: Right in terms of you what was here before you
- 54:51Speaker 3: were born? In terms of your own memories, nothing nothing right.
- 54:54Speaker 1: And that's how that's nothing that could be how it
- 54:56Speaker 1: is after too.
- 54:58Speaker 3: Now, some people believe that you know, when we carnation
- 55:00Speaker 3: and that there you get glimmers of things that happened
- 55:04Speaker 3: in your former life that you you.
- 55:05Speaker 4: Know, it's weird to talk. He listened to little children
- 55:08Speaker 4: talk about that.
- 55:09Speaker 3: Though.
- 55:09Speaker 1: I think a lot of this is so that we
- 55:10Speaker 1: feel better. It's all this stuff good.
- 55:13Speaker 3: It's to make Yeah, hope is good. And I don't
- 55:15Speaker 3: blame someone for having faith.
- 55:17Speaker 1: Why not?
- 55:18Speaker 3: Like again, I don't think it's things that we can understand,
- 55:22Speaker 3: So like, why not believe that there is an afterlife?
- 55:25Speaker 1: Why not? Like what's the harm in that?
- 55:28Speaker 3: You know?
- 55:29Speaker 1: It's a lot less scary than believing that there's nothing.
- 55:32Speaker 3: And it's also it's also a good way to keep
- 55:34Speaker 3: the masses in check because if people believe, hey, what
- 55:38Speaker 3: the hell you got to there's no judgment after life,
- 55:43Speaker 3: so I might as well do whatever the hell I want, you.
- 55:45Speaker 1: Know some anyway, Well that one didn't no place. I
- 55:50Speaker 1: didn't expect, that's what. But why I apologized in advance.
- 55:53Speaker 4: Is right, like we really only consider time from like
- 55:57Speaker 4: a d you know, like the birth of Christ on
- 55:59Speaker 4: but like beasts he goes forever and ever and ever.
- 56:02Speaker 3: And it's just well, it goes down to when the
- 56:06Speaker 3: Big Bang happened, and you know, people say, well that's
- 56:09Speaker 3: how things were created.
- 56:11Speaker 1: Well what what banged?
- 56:13Speaker 3: You know? Like in other words, that always has to
- 56:15Speaker 3: be something something, There always has to be something, And
- 56:19Speaker 3: then how can that be? You know, how can there
- 56:22Speaker 3: never be a beginning? And there isn't there's never like
- 56:26Speaker 3: it's just something we can't understand.
- 56:29Speaker 1: I think I'm too sober for this conversation.
- 56:31Speaker 10: Yeah, we need some drinks and a bondfire.
- 56:35Speaker 3: I need an Italian sub is all right, So let's
- 56:40Speaker 3: see Justin says there was something in our past that
- 56:45Speaker 3: was advanced or had some sort of help.
- 56:47Speaker 1: Alex's point about the.
- 56:48Speaker 3: Pyramids is one of the main ones we point to
- 56:50Speaker 3: think about Stonehenge or the massive Easter Island heads. The
- 56:54Speaker 3: Library of Alexandria burned down thousands of years ago, and
- 56:57Speaker 3: so much knowledge of the Old War was lost, so
- 57:00Speaker 3: much human history we will never know about, and it's
- 57:03Speaker 3: just fascinating to think about.
- 57:04Speaker 4: Yeah, I agree, that's a good point too, Like the
- 57:06Speaker 4: Pyramids and the Mayan ruins in like Guatemala, in Central
- 57:12Speaker 4: and South America, like they all have some of the
- 57:14Speaker 4: same symbolism throughout, and it's like, Okay, well Egypt is
- 57:18Speaker 4: nowhere near Guatemala, and yet these landmarks are highly advanced.
- 57:23Speaker 10: How did they build them?
- 57:24Speaker 4: And why do they all have such similar themes and
- 57:27Speaker 4: symbolism throughout? You know, like back then, these cultures wouldn't
- 57:31Speaker 4: have known each other, they wouldn't be a changing ideas.
- 57:33Speaker 3: I mean, you know, you're like again, these people were
- 57:37Speaker 3: no less intelligent than we were.
- 57:39Speaker 1: They just didn't have the knowledge base that we have.
- 57:42Speaker 3: Or it did and it builts of progress.
- 57:45Speaker 1: But they were just as intelligent as we are, and
- 57:47Speaker 1: they adapted to they did what they needed to do
- 57:50Speaker 1: to survive in their environment. Let's do an experiment.
- 57:53Speaker 3: Let's just say that right now, humans as we are
- 57:57Speaker 3: were put in the desert in the exact environment that
- 58:02Speaker 3: the Egyptians were and were told you have to build pyramids.
- 58:05Speaker 1: I think we would figure it out. But I think
- 58:08Speaker 1: we figure it out now, you know.
- 58:13Speaker 3: So I think that how they did it exactly, we
- 58:17Speaker 3: don't know, but I think that they figured out how
- 58:20Speaker 3: to do it because they were smart people.
- 58:23Speaker 1: I believe that. I just think that if you if
- 58:25Speaker 1: we have precise.
- 58:27Speaker 6: I don't think society right now could handle going backwards
- 58:30Speaker 6: in terms of like resources, Like if all of a sudden,
- 58:33Speaker 6: like we are so soft and spoiled everything.
- 58:36Speaker 1: And the soft would be weeded out and the people.
- 58:40Speaker 3: Who are are would adapt and they would like our
- 58:44Speaker 3: population would go way down.
- 58:46Speaker 1: I can tell you that much.
- 58:47Speaker 3: But the people who would be left would be the
- 58:49Speaker 3: people who adapt.
- 58:50Speaker 10: It or the billionaires that built an underground bunker like and.
- 58:56Speaker 1: Right, Yeah, you know, so I got good stuff. It's
- 59:02Speaker 1: good stuff, very deep Ford and Savannah.
- 59:06Speaker 3: I was switching rooms and had Patriots unfiltered on two
- 59:09Speaker 3: separate TVs, so there was an echo effect. While Fred
- 59:12Speaker 3: was talking about the nature of existence itself, and I
- 59:14Speaker 3: think I started to have a spiritual experience.
- 59:18Speaker 1: So it's fair. I I haven't thought about that kind
- 59:22Speaker 1: of stuff in a long time.
- 59:24Speaker 4: Yeah, because you get painic attacks.
- 59:32Speaker 3: I start thinking about this stuff, and I that would
- 59:35Speaker 3: make me up because I think that there's a there's
- 59:39Speaker 3: a mechanism that the aliens, because I get when I
- 59:42Speaker 3: get close to figuring it out, they make me go
- 59:44Speaker 3: to sleep.
- 59:44Speaker 10: Probably they're like Fred, again.
- 59:48Speaker 1: We can't have Fred figuring this out. He's there, like
- 59:51Speaker 1: in some control room somewhere, just like Fred needs to
- 59:56Speaker 1: go to bed right.
- 59:58Speaker 3: Bill and Norfolk, Virginia love and geeking out over today's
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: off season topics Matt and Alex Noball. I highly suggest
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: you guys go out and watch the doc Age of Disclosure.
- 1:00:10Speaker 3: So it's a documentary called Age of Disclosure. Also, Hollywood
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: has one thousand percent been trying to desensitize society. I
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: don't know blame you ever see the one with is
- 1:00:23Speaker 3: it Jody Foster?
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: No? Not Jody Foster?
- 1:00:26Speaker 4: Oh?
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: What's where they the aliens come down?
- 1:00:30Speaker 12: Fourth Kind? What the fourth Kind?
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: I don't think so. I think it was after that.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: It's like she the Arrival.
- 1:00:38Speaker 3: Yeah, I think it's the Arrival the screen.
- 1:00:41Speaker 10: With What's the guy from the town.
- 1:00:43Speaker 12: Amy Adams Amy?
- 1:00:45Speaker 10: What's the journey Runner? That's a great movie, A lot movie,
- 1:00:50Speaker 10: I think that.
- 1:00:52Speaker 4: And that came out right around the same time as
- 1:00:54Speaker 4: Interstellar too, and when I went.
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: Off the deep end, I love all.
- 1:00:58Speaker 4: When you guys were talking on you say about your
- 1:01:00Speaker 4: favorite ever experiences in a movie theater?
- 1:01:03Speaker 10: I think that was mine?
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: Really interesting, Yeah, but it was I need to watch
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: that again.
- 1:01:07Speaker 4: I did have a gummy for the first time ever
- 1:01:09Speaker 4: before that movie, and I thought I was more like
- 1:01:11Speaker 4: it melting into the sofa, and then the movie is
- 1:01:13Speaker 4: just such a mind.
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: I was like a lot of people didn't like it,
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: but I really like. Oh, I don't know if you
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: saw it.
- 1:01:21Speaker 6: I have, and I think I watched it on a plane. Yeah,
- 1:01:25Speaker 6: which isn't exactly the same.
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: It's a slow moving movie, moving movie, but I like
- 1:01:31Speaker 3: the concepts.
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: Yeah, it's in it. I like it.
- 1:01:35Speaker 3: Uh, Rodrigo writes in wait until you look into the
- 1:01:39Speaker 3: Book of Enoch. Also, aliens have always been among us,
- 1:01:43Speaker 3: and there's different classifications. There's a treaty between humans and
- 1:01:46Speaker 3: aliens that they would only take a certain amount of
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: human beings and animals so they could clone the DNA
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: with theirs and return them back to their lives with
- 1:01:54Speaker 3: zero memory of what happened to them, in order to
- 1:01:57Speaker 3: save their own planet. So this is the plot of
- 1:01:59Speaker 3: the I guess the book of everyone.
- 1:02:03Speaker 4: That claims to have been abducted by aliens, they have
- 1:02:06Speaker 4: all the same story like, it's very similar. And there
- 1:02:10Speaker 4: were some out on the in the birks Hears. I
- 1:02:11Speaker 4: think in like Great Barrington, there was alien sightings.
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: I saw crazy well, that makes sense because there's nowhere.
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: There's too much drugs out there. As violated that treaty
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: and took more humans than they were supposed to and
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: started mutilating animals.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: Mermaids are real too. Giants existed.
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: They were offspring from angels and aliens with humans back
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: in time, which is why God flooded the earth. The
- 1:02:36Speaker 3: pyramids were built by aliens and are a power source.
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: New research has found chambers that nobody knew about before,
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: and each pyramid is one big power source, similar to
- 1:02:46Speaker 3: what Nicola Tesla invented.
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: The government is hiding everything killed Tesla.
- 1:02:51Speaker 10: Why, well, there's a lot of Nicolas.
- 1:02:56Speaker 9: At the other thing going on. All the alien scientists
- 1:02:58Speaker 9: are going missing.
- 1:03:00Speaker 4: The one that lived in Brookline, the Portuguese guy knew
- 1:03:02Speaker 4: No I forget his last name, but I mean they
- 1:03:06Speaker 4: knocked on his brownstone door and killed him, like with
- 1:03:09Speaker 4: his family inside getting ready for dinner. There's like ten
- 1:03:12Speaker 4: scientists that have all been.
- 1:03:14Speaker 12: Because scientists have gone missing.
- 1:03:17Speaker 10: Yes, it's insane, it's alarming.
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: I'm sure they're not just at a conference.
- 1:03:21Speaker 9: No, have vanished or died under mysterious sexist Twelve US scientists.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean we know.
- 1:03:28Speaker 10: All of them studied.
- 1:03:30Speaker 4: All of them studied, like after you, they're all astro phys.
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: Why haven't I heard about that? Because they're burying.
- 1:03:37Speaker 10: What news sor they don't want you to know, Fred,
- 1:03:39Speaker 10: they don't want.
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: You to know there's a bunch of them.
- 1:03:42Speaker 12: But Trump mentioned it the other day.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: No, I can't tell you there.
- 1:03:47Speaker 6: This is like like I'll find you, Like.
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: I'm not receding, and I just.
- 1:03:55Speaker 4: Ten people tied to sensitive US research have died or
- 1:03:57Speaker 4: disappeared in the last couple of years, the CNN, sparking
- 1:04:03Speaker 4: federal investigation. A nuclear physicist and MIT professor fatally shot
- 1:04:07Speaker 4: outside his Massachusetts residents, a retired Air Force general missing
- 1:04:11Speaker 4: from his New Mexico home. An aerospace engineer who disappeared
- 1:04:15Speaker 4: during a hike in Los Angeles. These are among at
- 1:04:17Speaker 4: least ten individuals connected to sensitive US nuclear and aerospace
- 1:04:21Speaker 4: research who have died or disappeared in recent years, prompting
- 1:04:25Speaker 4: concerns whether or not they are connected and fueling speculation
- 1:04:28Speaker 4: online about the possibility of nefarious activity.
- 1:04:32Speaker 9: And the general is the latest one who went missing
- 1:04:34Speaker 9: in February Wow.
- 1:04:35Speaker 4: The FBI now says it is spearheading the effort to
- 1:04:38Speaker 4: look for connections into the missing and deceased scientists.
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: I'm sure they are. I'm sure they're really.
- 1:04:43Speaker 3: Gonna Unfortunately, have no confidence in any government agency.
- 1:04:50Speaker 6: Are the ones that are trying to muzzle these people,
- 1:04:53Speaker 6: So why would we think that they're.
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: It's part of the cover.
- 1:04:57Speaker 10: I need a beer.
- 1:04:58Speaker 3: This is too good, Christopher the t I a n
- 1:05:02Speaker 3: incredible week of Star Wars Talk. Addition by subtraction, lose,
- 1:05:05Speaker 3: Paul gained Star Wars Talk, Star Wars Talk a win
- 1:05:09Speaker 3: for everybody. I hold episodes four, five, and six in
- 1:05:11Speaker 3: high regard. Seeing those as a kid was a life
- 1:05:14Speaker 3: changing experience. There was nothing bigger. I enjoy the rest,
- 1:05:18Speaker 3: Mendalorian being my favorite.
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: Fred. When do we see the lightsaber?
- 1:05:22Speaker 3: You will see it the newsletter. Yeah, well I didn't
- 1:05:25Speaker 3: want I shouldn't have given it away. But there's some
- 1:05:28Speaker 3: behind the scenes pictures from me on May May fourth, so.
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: He had to call in the conversation, what's going on?
- 1:05:44Speaker 7: I think you're all totally insane. First thing, first point
- 1:05:48Speaker 7: is the billionaire bunkers in Armageddon. Don't worry. People liked me.
- 1:05:53Speaker 7: That's the first place we're visiting. So the billionaire bunkers
- 1:05:55Speaker 7: will last about two days before we get him. As
- 1:05:59Speaker 7: for nothing, nothing, there is nothing. I'm afraid to sort
- 1:06:04Speaker 7: of break that to everyone. There is nothing out there.
- 1:06:06Speaker 7: We haven't been visited by aliens. It's all humans that
- 1:06:10Speaker 7: have done it. The problem with nothing is this is
- 1:06:13Speaker 7: that the concept of nothing is an internal one, right,
- 1:06:17Speaker 7: It's different to each individual person. So when we talk
- 1:06:20Speaker 7: about nothing, it's not the same. We're bound by a
- 1:06:24Speaker 7: common language, and nothingness exists in our consciousness, in our brain,
- 1:06:30Speaker 7: irrelevant of our physical universe, irrelevant to anything else. So
- 1:06:34Speaker 7: when people think of nothing, they think of themselves as
- 1:06:37Speaker 7: a conscious person is a physical universe. You must separate boat.
- 1:06:41Speaker 7: What only exists is what is inside your head. The
- 1:06:44Speaker 7: rest is a physical environment that you will leave eventually
- 1:06:48Speaker 7: and there'll be no trace of you afterwards. All right, Now,
- 1:06:51Speaker 7: that doesn't mean that there is nothing. Because you want
- 1:06:54Speaker 7: to race in the first place to get to this experience.
- 1:06:57Speaker 7: You already won the lottery from the billion and billion
- 1:07:01Speaker 7: of one to exist in this space, and time for
- 1:07:04Speaker 7: you to do it. Now. What you've got to think
- 1:07:06Speaker 7: about is if you were born two hundred years ago,
- 1:07:09Speaker 7: one hundred years ago, what would you be who would
- 1:07:12Speaker 7: you be? How would your life been different? So don't
- 1:07:16Speaker 7: worry about there being nothing, because there's nothing you can
- 1:07:20Speaker 7: do about it, because the word nothing means that, right,
- 1:07:23Speaker 7: it's the inability for the human experience to do anything about.
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: See James, I get what you're saying.
- 1:07:31Speaker 3: But when I think of nothing, I don't think of
- 1:07:33Speaker 3: my consciousness in it. When I think of nothing, I'm
- 1:07:37Speaker 3: thinking of no.
- 1:07:38Speaker 7: Kind of think about it this way, Think about it
- 1:07:41Speaker 7: this way. Let's presume that the human race is wiped out, right,
- 1:07:45Speaker 7: but the entire human experience, as in all of our history,
- 1:07:50Speaker 7: was kept on a flash drive and was planted on
- 1:07:53Speaker 7: a planet. Now, we would not exist. Our consciousness will exist.
- 1:07:57Speaker 7: We would say, the human race would not exist. But
- 1:08:00Speaker 7: if an alien found a splash drive, loaded it into
- 1:08:03Speaker 7: its computer, and suddenly coul due the history of our history,
- 1:08:06Speaker 7: we would then exist in consciousness. It would be another
- 1:08:10Speaker 7: alien consciousness. Right now, whether that experience is on a
- 1:08:13Speaker 7: flash drive stuck on a planet, or it's been loaded
- 1:08:17Speaker 7: onto a alien as million years from now, we can
- 1:08:20Speaker 7: look through the Wikipedia of history and go, wow, there
- 1:08:22Speaker 7: was the first ever podcast in this existence was something
- 1:08:26Speaker 7: called the w in progress, right, and they'll know that
- 1:08:28Speaker 7: a million years from now because it'll be on the
- 1:08:30Speaker 7: Wikipedia of Humanits. The whole idea of this consciousness is
- 1:08:35Speaker 7: we are individually one consciousness, right, there's nothing afterwards, but
- 1:08:40Speaker 7: our combined experience that can be passed on to another
- 1:08:44Speaker 7: consciousness is all we have. Right, So there's nothing inasmuch
- 1:08:49Speaker 7: as we're all related to our ancestors. But surviving the
- 1:08:54Speaker 7: plague means nothing to us. Most of our ancestors survived
- 1:08:58Speaker 7: the plague. Percent of the human race in Europe was
- 1:09:02Speaker 7: wiped out. None of us think, oh my god, the plague.
- 1:09:05Speaker 7: How does it affect me now? I don't wake up
- 1:09:07Speaker 7: and think about the plague, don't. It doesn't affect my
- 1:09:10Speaker 7: consciousness in my life today. The fact that not more
- 1:09:14Speaker 7: than a few hundred years ago in Europe, thirty percent
- 1:09:16Speaker 7: of the population there was a mass, huge thing, it
- 1:09:19Speaker 7: doesn't affect us. We could go through an armageddon and
- 1:09:23Speaker 7: two generations later it won't be relevant to their consciousness.
- 1:09:26Speaker 3: No, I get it, I get I get what you're saying.
- 1:09:28Speaker 3: But when I'm talking about nothing, it has nothing to
- 1:09:31Speaker 3: do with consciousness. It has like if there is like
- 1:09:34Speaker 3: one element floating around in a vacuum. That's not nothing.
- 1:09:38Speaker 3: That's not nothing, even though there's no one to be.
- 1:09:41Speaker 7: Conscious Fred, Fred, it's a linguistic problem of the definition
- 1:09:46Speaker 7: of the word nothing. No one will understand what you
- 1:09:49Speaker 7: mean by when you say nothing, because we haven't lived
- 1:09:52Speaker 7: your life. Evan is scared of nothing. You're scared of nothing.
- 1:09:57Speaker 7: Other people are scared of nothing, but you nothing that
- 1:10:00Speaker 7: irrelevant to each other. To some guy, nothing will be
- 1:10:03Speaker 7: about as children. To another guy, it will be about
- 1:10:06Speaker 7: as parents. Someone else that nothing will be about their pets,
- 1:10:10Speaker 7: be about their job, the nothing that you talk about,
- 1:10:13Speaker 7: and ever and then everyone talks about. They're a problem
- 1:10:16Speaker 7: of language, of the human experience. So we can all
- 1:10:19Speaker 7: say we're all worried about nothing but our individual nothings
- 1:10:22Speaker 7: that irrelevant to each other. There's no link there.
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: So do you believe that there was always something nothing?
- 1:10:31Speaker 19: No?
- 1:10:32Speaker 7: No, no, no no. I believe that whatever. Humans develop
- 1:10:37Speaker 7: a language and call it nothing. And you look at
- 1:10:40Speaker 7: the root of the Latin word, what does nothing mean?
- 1:10:44Speaker 7: It all comes down, all of the root of language
- 1:10:48Speaker 7: comes to a philosophy of an individual's experience. Even though
- 1:10:52Speaker 7: we knitted together as a community and we look around
- 1:10:54Speaker 7: life like that it is the philosophical experience Einstein talks
- 1:10:58Speaker 7: about the theory of relativity, it's the relativity of the observer.
- 1:11:04Speaker 7: Your view of the universe is as important as Einstein's
- 1:11:07Speaker 7: view because your unique relative view can never be experienced
- 1:11:12Speaker 7: by someone else, because you're in an unique point of
- 1:11:15Speaker 7: space and time, and the problem that there's nothing surrounding
- 1:11:20Speaker 7: that should not prevent you from enjoy.
- 1:11:22Speaker 3: Oh okay, well, but I think I think this this
- 1:11:25Speaker 3: your line of conversation is different than what mine is,
- 1:11:29Speaker 3: and I agree with you.
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: By the way, I agree with you because to me.
- 1:11:33Speaker 7: You the idea of nothing is not the same because
- 1:11:36Speaker 7: I can't understand what nothing means.
- 1:11:39Speaker 3: To you, Well, I don't think any of us can understand.
- 1:11:43Speaker 3: And again it's a word, but I don't think any
- 1:11:47Speaker 3: person can understand what nothing is.
- 1:11:49Speaker 6: Yeah, Like I would think about this, like I would
- 1:11:52Speaker 6: think about nothing, and I was like, well, it's like
- 1:11:55Speaker 6: it's like like darkness, but that's not something.
- 1:11:57Speaker 3: No, there cannot not be darkness without life, right, darkness Right.
- 1:12:02Speaker 6: So it's like, oh, it's like if everything went black,
- 1:12:04Speaker 6: And I'm like, oh wait.
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: That's not that's not nothing, right, that's something.
- 1:12:07Speaker 7: Right, I'll give you an example. Have you Have you
- 1:12:12Speaker 7: ever watched a conversation where two people agree on a point,
- 1:12:17Speaker 7: but you know they're talking about two different things.
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: What happens on this show all the time?
- 1:12:25Speaker 11: Who point?
- 1:12:26Speaker 7: Frequently you'll see two humans agree a point and you've
- 1:12:29Speaker 7: watched the conversation, like, but they're talking about two different things.
- 1:12:33Speaker 7: And it's the problem of language. Those two people are
- 1:12:35Speaker 7: convinced they agree on a point that they've misunderstood, and
- 1:12:39Speaker 7: you've put in now who's right, who's wrong. That's the
- 1:12:42Speaker 7: problem with language is that everyone's understanding of what a
- 1:12:45Speaker 7: word means is different, and words the meaning of words
- 1:12:50Speaker 7: change over time. Right, I would have been you know,
- 1:12:53Speaker 7: when I joined the army, I was like, I think
- 1:12:57Speaker 7: homosexuals it's fine. In the army. I was considered very forward.
- 1:13:02Speaker 7: But maybe nowadays I shouldn't have not cared. I should
- 1:13:05Speaker 7: have been more supportive of it. So an opinion where
- 1:13:08Speaker 7: I was I didn't really care was acceptable back then,
- 1:13:14Speaker 7: But as times change, maybe I need to be more
- 1:13:17Speaker 7: proactive about it. Right, Because words change meaning as you
- 1:13:21Speaker 7: go through socially. That's why when you speak to all
- 1:13:24Speaker 7: the people about stuff, you're generally disagreeing because you've were
- 1:13:28Speaker 7: understanding about words and so I know it goes off
- 1:13:31Speaker 7: on a bit of a tangent. Don't worry about there
- 1:13:34Speaker 7: being nothing, because you know, we could have lived, you know,
- 1:13:38Speaker 7: we could have lived in the seventies with the Patriots dynasty, right,
- 1:13:42Speaker 7: I mean, you pick and cheese where you are, all right,
- 1:13:45Speaker 7: So be thankful at least, you know. And like I said,
- 1:13:49Speaker 7: if there are aliens, maybe they can play spot receiver.
- 1:13:52Speaker 7: It opens up. Imagine that Evan grading the RAS score
- 1:13:56Speaker 7: on aliens. We can reply, well, I.
- 1:13:57Speaker 6: Thought of that when I saw men in black for
- 1:14:01Speaker 6: the first time, where like, thanks James, the aliens can
- 1:14:04Speaker 6: like disguise themselves as right, right, right, And I was like,
- 1:14:07Speaker 6: what if like Calvin Johnson's like actually an alien and
- 1:14:10Speaker 6: we just don't know, you know, who's actually an alien?
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: Is Wemby?
- 1:14:13Speaker 6: Like Wemby like might actually be an alien? Right, Like
- 1:14:16Speaker 6: I just don't know, you know, maybe he doesn't even know.
- 1:14:18Speaker 3: All right, Time to take that break. We'll take a
- 1:14:21Speaker 3: deep breath. We'll come back. Blieve me, there will be
- 1:14:24Speaker 3: something after the break.
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: We'll be right back.

- 1:16:48Speaker 3: If you had much interaction with Drake and if show,
- 1:16:51Speaker 3: what's that been like?
- 1:16:52Speaker 23: Yeah, Actually, Drake and I have kind of headed off
- 1:16:54Speaker 23: the bat right away from the very first workout on
- 1:16:57Speaker 23: in the field. We're stretching together just kind of getting
- 1:16:59Speaker 23: to know each other. In the last couple of days
- 1:17:01Speaker 23: we've been meeting after our little practice out there and
- 1:17:04Speaker 23: kind of going over some schemes.
- 1:17:07Speaker 24: You you wanted to ask you we hear offensive lineman
- 1:17:11Speaker 24: when a quarterback changes, like, you want to know who's
- 1:17:13Speaker 24: back there, if guys more mobile when you're a fullback,
- 1:17:16Speaker 24: are you learning your running back? Like do you Hey,
- 1:17:19Speaker 24: Trivia is behind me? And once you start that process,
- 1:17:21Speaker 24: have you already started looking at the tape of those guys?
- 1:17:23Speaker 19: Oh? Yeah, absolutely. I mean every running back is different.
- 1:17:25Speaker 23: You know, you got the patient ones, you got the
- 1:17:27Speaker 23: you know, downhill speed guys like like Trey, and you know,
- 1:17:30Speaker 23: it's really just learning how they see different blocks. Is
- 1:17:33Speaker 23: I like to think of the fullback as like the
- 1:17:35Speaker 23: bus driver, right, So, like I'm leaving the bus wherever
- 1:17:37Speaker 23: I go, He's going to follow me. So I got
- 1:17:39Speaker 23: to know like his tempo and his reads and you
- 1:17:41Speaker 23: know whatever the landmark of the scheme is. So it
- 1:17:43Speaker 23: is different running back to running back, but still the
- 1:17:45Speaker 23: process of learning these guys.
- 1:17:48Speaker 25: Is that something you can do like on film or
- 1:17:50Speaker 25: is it you got to get out on the practice.
- 1:17:51Speaker 23: It's more of a film, it's more of a feel thing.
- 1:17:53Speaker 23: But obviously, yeah, you can see it on film. I
- 1:17:55Speaker 23: mean Travion speed jumps off the tape remondering his physicality
- 1:17:59Speaker 23: jumps off the tape, so you can kind of get
- 1:18:00Speaker 23: a feel for it, but it's totally different when they're
- 1:18:02Speaker 23: right behind you and you can feel their footsteps coming
- 1:18:05Speaker 23: up on you.
- 1:18:05Speaker 19: Is there a starting like better?
- 1:18:07Speaker 23: I mean, I've blocked for a couple of different running backs,
- 1:18:10Speaker 23: so I don't really have a preference.
- 1:18:14Speaker 19: That's just nice to know who's back there. Back in March,
- 1:18:18Speaker 19: you talked about.
- 1:18:20Speaker 6: What you're feeling more about New England just from the outside.
- 1:18:23Speaker 19: Now that you're actually in the building, where do you
- 1:18:25Speaker 19: feel about this place?
- 1:18:26Speaker 23: And the first thing I noticed right away was coming
- 1:18:29Speaker 23: in as away team, as a visiting team, you come
- 1:18:32Speaker 23: in through this neighborhood back here, you just felt like
- 1:18:34Speaker 23: you're in the middle of nowhere. I had no idea
- 1:18:35Speaker 23: that one Patriot place is over here. So I'm coming
- 1:18:38Speaker 23: to work the first day and I'm just like, whoa,
- 1:18:41Speaker 23: where did all these come from? I mean, you have
- 1:18:42Speaker 23: the statue of Tom Brady, and you got all these
- 1:18:44Speaker 23: restaurants and all this nice stuff, and I'm just like, wow,
- 1:18:46Speaker 23: this is actually pretty nice. But I've been up here
- 1:18:48Speaker 23: a couple weeks now really learning the area, and it's
- 1:18:51Speaker 23: it's been a really nice area. I thought this place
- 1:18:53Speaker 23: is in the middle of.
- 1:18:53Speaker 19: Nowhere, but that was wrong. Restaurants out there yet.
- 1:18:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:18:56Speaker 23: I tried the Hibachi spot over next to the Renaissance
- 1:18:59Speaker 23: and it was really good.
- 1:19:00Speaker 18: A hard hitting full back is the springtime challenge for you,
- 1:19:04Speaker 18: considering there's no contact a loot.
- 1:19:07Speaker 23: No, not really, because it's still getting that fit up,
- 1:19:09Speaker 23: you know, kind of seeing how you're going to fit it.
- 1:19:11Speaker 23: I mean, obviously when the past come on, it's a
- 1:19:12Speaker 23: totally different ball game. But you can mentally, you know,
- 1:19:15Speaker 23: fit with somebody and be like, Okay, this is how
- 1:19:17Speaker 23: it's going to be, like learning the scheme, like okay,
- 1:19:19Speaker 23: they want me to fit with my hat outside on
- 1:19:21Speaker 23: this time or my hat down the middle. Like you
- 1:19:22Speaker 23: can kind of walk through those you might.
- 1:19:25Speaker 24: Have talked about this when you first came, But was
- 1:19:28Speaker 24: there a pitch part of you like, Hey, we want
- 1:19:29Speaker 24: to we want to be a little bit more physical,
- 1:19:31Speaker 24: we want to run the ball, to be a little
- 1:19:33Speaker 24: bit more efficient with that part of their Yeah, a
- 1:19:35Speaker 24: little bit.
- 1:19:36Speaker 23: Yeah, they appreached to me that, you know, they like
- 1:19:38Speaker 23: my physicality, they like my style of play, and uh,
- 1:19:40Speaker 23: you know McDaniels echoed that. So I just heard a
- 1:19:46Speaker 23: lot of the you know, we want to be physical,
- 1:19:48Speaker 23: we want to run downhill, We like how you play
- 1:19:50Speaker 23: and we think that you could be an asset to
- 1:19:51Speaker 23: this team.
- 1:19:52Speaker 26: Speaking of Josh, it's you know that he likes to
- 1:19:54Speaker 26: full back in his office.
- 1:19:55Speaker 19: What's it just been like getting to know him and.
- 1:19:59Speaker 23: He's a high energy guy and he definitely likes the fullback,
- 1:20:02Speaker 23: you know, James Devlin. So you know, New England's been
- 1:20:05Speaker 23: known for having that you know, full back back there
- 1:20:08Speaker 23: and that's been part of the success of this this organization.
- 1:20:12Speaker 19: You've got in a sense in.
- 1:20:13Speaker 25: Which way they want to use you or any different
- 1:20:15Speaker 25: ways they could utilize you.
- 1:20:16Speaker 7: That you have been in the past.
- 1:20:17Speaker 23: Yeah, So I'm learning the entire the entire offense. I'm
- 1:20:20Speaker 23: not just learning fullback. I'm learning you know, different positions
- 1:20:23Speaker 23: and you know how he can spread you out one
- 1:20:25Speaker 23: way or you know, have you in motion this way.
- 1:20:27Speaker 19: You know, he's very versatile.
- 1:20:29Speaker 24: I think there's some untapped potential for you, like production
- 1:20:32Speaker 24: wise as a past catcher.
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:20:34Speaker 19: Absolutely.
- 1:20:34Speaker 23: I feel like, you know, I've been underutilized before, and
- 1:20:37Speaker 23: I feel like a lot of people don't know what
- 1:20:38Speaker 23: I can do with the ball in my hand because
- 1:20:40Speaker 23: you know, it hasn't been displayed and haven't really had the.
- 1:20:42Speaker 19: Opportunity to do so. But I definitely feel like there's
- 1:20:44Speaker 19: some untap potential there along those lines.
- 1:20:46Speaker 24: I know you talk to love like James Devin when
- 1:20:48Speaker 24: we were here for your Freege's pretty dem pressed conference.
- 1:20:51Speaker 24: The way Josh used James, whether it was you know,
- 1:20:54Speaker 24: just been allowed to help create a match up somewhere else,
- 1:20:59Speaker 24: what stood to the way he was used.
- 1:21:01Speaker 23: I was actually watching film yesterday and I seen James
- 1:21:04Speaker 23: Devin split out running a go route, and I was
- 1:21:06Speaker 23: just like, hey, if he can do it, I can
- 1:21:07Speaker 23: definitely do it. No, this was Mac the James, but
- 1:21:09Speaker 23: you know, I'm a little a little more agile with him.
- 1:21:11Speaker 23: But it's just it's nice to see that. You know,
- 1:21:14Speaker 23: Josh values the position in a way more than just
- 1:21:16Speaker 23: running your head into a wall.
- 1:21:19Speaker 7: So badly.
- 1:21:20Speaker 19: Kind of a weird one, but with fullbacks kind of
- 1:21:22Speaker 19: on their way out. Disagree, they're on the way back up. Yeah.
- 1:21:27Speaker 12: Do you keep in touch with the other fullbacks like
- 1:21:29Speaker 12: group chat?
- 1:21:30Speaker 19: Yes?
- 1:21:31Speaker 23: I said back in March, we have a Fullbacks for
- 1:21:33Speaker 23: Life group chat, and it's a bunch of all the
- 1:21:35Speaker 23: current fullbacks and all the you know, legendary fullbacks like
- 1:21:38Speaker 23: Mike all Style and Lorenzo Neill on those guys. So
- 1:21:40Speaker 23: it's pretty cool being in the group chat with those guys.
- 1:21:41Speaker 23: Actually texted Lorenzonil on the side once I got his
- 1:21:44Speaker 23: number saved. I was like, hey, like, you're my favorite
- 1:21:45Speaker 23: fullback growing up, Like, I love watching you block for
- 1:21:47Speaker 23: La Danian Thomlinson. That was my inspiration because I wanted
- 1:21:50Speaker 23: to be a running back. I wasn't running back up
- 1:21:52Speaker 23: until college, but I was that tweeda with Kream Hust.
- 1:21:54Speaker 23: I wasn't get on the field, but I was a
- 1:21:57Speaker 23: fullback for Kareem and watching La, Danny and Lorenzo go
- 1:22:02Speaker 23: to work was really fun to watch.
- 1:22:03Speaker 19: Talk a little bit more about you in that chat
- 1:22:06Speaker 19: there was like forty of us.
- 1:22:08Speaker 10: Is it active?
- 1:22:09Speaker 19: It's muted on my phones? Is that you said fullbacks
- 1:22:14Speaker 19: for life? Is at the name of the chat with
- 1:22:16Speaker 19: the transition?
- 1:22:18Speaker 26: Can you talk a little bit more about your transition
- 1:22:20Speaker 26: from running back to fullback. I know you mentioned like
- 1:22:22Speaker 26: obviously cream Honey weren't, but like, what was that time
- 1:22:24Speaker 26: like and why ultimately, Like, was that the only reason
- 1:22:28Speaker 26: you decided to transit?
- 1:22:29Speaker 23: So the reason why I transitioned to fullback because I
- 1:22:32Speaker 23: was a walk on at Toledo and at the time,
- 1:22:34Speaker 23: I don't know if it's still like this in CAA,
- 1:22:36Speaker 23: but you can only take.
- 1:22:36Speaker 19: One hundred and five guys on your roster to camp.
- 1:22:39Speaker 23: So I was the last fullback or a last running
- 1:22:41Speaker 23: back on the roster because I was a walk on.
- 1:22:43Speaker 23: So head coach Jason Campdell was like, hey, like, we
- 1:22:46Speaker 23: can't take you to camp unless you want to change
- 1:22:48Speaker 23: positions to our hybrid fullback tight end rule or h back.
- 1:22:51Speaker 19: I was just like, yeah, whatever it takes.
- 1:22:53Speaker 23: So of course I made the transition, and it was
- 1:22:56Speaker 23: more hard mentally than it was physically, just because like
- 1:22:59Speaker 23: I was used to being the guy that had the ball,
- 1:23:01Speaker 23: but the physical part of it. It's just like playing
- 1:23:04Speaker 23: running back. Honestly, it's the same key as the same reads.
- 1:23:07Speaker 23: It's just your a couple of steps head you were.
- 1:23:09Speaker 19: I want to go back to the pullbacks are coming back.
- 1:23:12Speaker 24: We did see a lot last year on the tight
- 1:23:14Speaker 24: ends and the thirteenth person oul twenty two Like is
- 1:23:17Speaker 24: that where you're like the league is sort of cyclichone
- 1:23:20Speaker 24: and it's starting to come back more to that powerfootball.
- 1:23:22Speaker 23: So the league was passed heavy for so long and
- 1:23:24Speaker 23: a lot of teams just started going nickel and dime
- 1:23:25Speaker 23: all the time. So I think offensive cordiers are kind
- 1:23:27Speaker 23: of switching back to that. Okay, if you're going to
- 1:23:29Speaker 23: play a two hundred pound linebacker, let's put a two
- 1:23:31Speaker 23: hundred and fifty pound fullback on you and see what
- 1:23:33Speaker 23: you can do. And obviously it's an advantage for the offense.
- 1:23:37Speaker 25: Kind Of along those lines, there's I think three fullbacks
- 1:23:39Speaker 25: currently on the roster and it's like ninety man limit.
- 1:23:42Speaker 25: But have you ever been on a team where there's
- 1:23:43Speaker 25: three in the NFL roster.
- 1:23:46Speaker 23: I've always only been the I've always been the only
- 1:23:49Speaker 23: fullback on the roster.
- 1:23:50Speaker 19: Yes, So what's that thing?
- 1:23:51Speaker 7: I know?
- 1:23:52Speaker 25: Sometimes like but the tight end room and you know
- 1:23:54Speaker 25: you're not just alone, but what's ability to have other guys.
- 1:23:56Speaker 23: Oh, it's really much different because I've always been in
- 1:23:58Speaker 23: the tight end room my whole career. So it was like,
- 1:24:01Speaker 23: you know, if I go four plays in a row
- 1:24:03Speaker 23: and I need to blow someone, one of the tight
- 1:24:05Speaker 23: end is going to happen for one of the places's
- 1:24:07Speaker 23: maybe not fullback you know specific, but like tight end
- 1:24:09Speaker 23: in the backfield type thing.
- 1:24:10Speaker 19: Maybe if it's pass pro whatever it may be.
- 1:24:15Speaker 24: I'm just curious, after being in one place for a
- 1:24:17Speaker 24: number of years as you were, and you talked about
- 1:24:20Speaker 24: coming here and.
- 1:24:21Speaker 19: Discovering a new Foxborough it didn't exist before.
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: What else has been? You know?
- 1:24:26Speaker 24: Part of that adjustment for you just getting used to
- 1:24:29Speaker 24: if I'm a new new surroundings settling in.
- 1:24:32Speaker 19: We know, don't often think sometimes that you guys are people. Yeah, yeah, families.
- 1:24:36Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:24:37Speaker 23: I just learnt to work without GPS, So it's been
- 1:24:40Speaker 23: different learning the area and trying to just figure out
- 1:24:42Speaker 23: like I'm like figuring out what's for dinner. I'm like
- 1:24:44Speaker 23: I don't know where to go. I don't know where
- 1:24:45Speaker 23: anything is. So like I'm on my you know apps,
- 1:24:47Speaker 23: my maps happened, like trying to figure out what's where,
- 1:24:50Speaker 23: and of course the whole moving process moving a house
- 1:24:53Speaker 23: into an apartment.
- 1:24:53Speaker 19: That's metal pain, but it's going well. Curious any special
- 1:24:58Speaker 19: connection with the number of four.
- 1:25:01Speaker 23: No, I actually won forty one, like I said back
- 1:25:02Speaker 23: in March, but the schooler wouldn't give it to me.
- 1:25:06Speaker 19: He didn't even let me offer him any money.
- 1:25:08Speaker 7: So thank you, thank you, Thank you, guys.
- 1:25:14Speaker 12: And now great moments in.
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: History.
- 1:25:19Speaker 3: You know, in the media area down by the rope there,
- 1:25:21Speaker 3: and all of a sudden, this, you know, Paul guy,
- 1:25:25Speaker 3: It's like, that's Jason Tatum. I have to admit I
- 1:25:28Speaker 3: was a little bit starstruck.
- 1:25:29Speaker 10: Yeah, you know, you know he's tall and you yeah,
- 1:25:32Speaker 10: yah tall you let me finish my sentence.
- 1:25:39Speaker 4: Then you see Tatum standing next to an offensive lineman
- 1:25:43Speaker 4: or like a massive behemoth of a d tackle and
- 1:25:47Speaker 4: you're like, Tatum's really effing tall.
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:25:52Speaker 6: Like this new surgery, I know it's going to have
- 1:25:54Speaker 6: him back before this really starts, Can you let me have.
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: Some hope, Paul for some seconds.
- 1:25:59Speaker 6: But so he had the surgery immediately, like within twenty
- 1:26:03Speaker 6: four hours, and then he had this news.
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: I think it's called the speed Bridge.
- 1:26:07Speaker 6: It's like this new procedure of how they You guys
- 1:26:14Speaker 6: know me well enough to know that I am now
- 1:26:16Speaker 6: an expert on Achilles revery.
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: Let's be honest.
- 1:26:19Speaker 6: He had the Speedbridge procedure with the best doctor in
- 1:26:22Speaker 6: the world who performs his surgery in New York City. Say,
- 1:26:28Speaker 6: we're playing in New York when it happened, So.
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: That's why you only had the surgery that night.
- 1:26:32Speaker 19: Can you let me that's a fact. That's another great moment.
- 1:26:36Speaker 3: From all right Jordan and Tampa writes in he says
- 1:26:42Speaker 3: James is the most boring Patriots fan in the world.
- 1:26:45Speaker 3: I felt like I was eight years old watching one
- 1:26:47Speaker 3: of those national geographic shows with my grandfather listening to
- 1:26:50Speaker 3: this guy. Can we please go back to Colonoscope or
- 1:26:53Speaker 3: Star Wars Talk side point for all the Star Wars diehards,
- 1:26:58Speaker 3: This new Darth Maul animated show Want Disney Plus is
- 1:27:01Speaker 3: the best thing that Star Wars has produced since Mando
- 1:27:04Speaker 3: season one.
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: Really, that's high praise. That's high praise.
- 1:27:10Speaker 9: Its animated, Its animated, So I stay away from the animated.
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: Yeah, but I heard the Clone Wars animation series was
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: really good. I don't know it.
- 1:27:19Speaker 4: Yeah, is it like animated shows, not like like that.
- 1:27:25Speaker 9: It was very gi animation. It's a kiddie show. It
- 1:27:28Speaker 9: looks like bubble guppies.
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: Okay, here good.
- 1:27:31Speaker 6: I want to go back to the movie played out
- 1:27:33Speaker 6: of the break with Starky with me that.
- 1:27:37Speaker 4: Yeah, we got to replay that, that segment when Paul's here.
- 1:27:40Speaker 3: Yeah, that's absolutely yeah, well Paul, Yeah, Paul was. At first,
- 1:27:45Speaker 3: he's like, you know, as evidence from the segment, he's
- 1:27:50Speaker 3: not coming back. All you Green teamers are getting your
- 1:27:52Speaker 3: hopes up. And then when he came back, he's like, well,
- 1:27:55Speaker 3: it's to be expected. That's the average time for someone
- 1:27:57Speaker 3: to come back from an achilles.
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: He really changed just too.
- 1:28:00Speaker 6: One of the craziest things that he said recently is
- 1:28:03Speaker 6: that Jason Tatum came back in the average time for
- 1:28:06Speaker 6: Achilles recovery. Yeah, that was his recovery.
- 1:28:13Speaker 3: It's just further proof that Paul's mission in life is
- 1:28:17Speaker 3: to upset fans, whoever you were a fan of. He
- 1:28:21Speaker 3: just doesn't like fans. I don't know why, Like he's
- 1:28:24Speaker 3: got this innate thing in himself to like argue with fans.
- 1:28:29Speaker 6: I had The Celtics are a divisive topic like that
- 1:28:33Speaker 6: one you can you can A lot of people.
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: Want to argue with Celtics fans.
- 1:28:38Speaker 3: Well, I I have a thing about I think there's
- 1:28:42Speaker 3: a group of Celtics fans who demand excellence and they
- 1:28:45Speaker 3: believe that the Green teamers are too apologetic for the team.
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: That could be true. I mean, I don't know. I
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: think that.
- 1:28:55Speaker 3: And then and it happens to be split on age.
- 1:28:59Speaker 3: I think the older Celtics fans are the more rigid.
- 1:29:03Speaker 3: Don't give them any slack, you know, blah blah blah,
- 1:29:06Speaker 3: and your age Celtics fans are more forgiving.
- 1:29:10Speaker 6: The older The older age fans like are miserable, like
- 1:29:14Speaker 6: you guys, Like old.
- 1:29:15Speaker 10: Age fans had so much more winning.
- 1:29:18Speaker 4: They saw so much more winning where we were like, Hey,
- 1:29:21Speaker 4: these Isaiah Thomas years are pretty fun, you know.
- 1:29:23Speaker 6: And I just think that in today's NBA, like there
- 1:29:29Speaker 6: hasn't been a repeat champ since the Warriors in twenty eighteen,
- 1:29:33Speaker 6: you know, like they the thunder might repeat, but they
- 1:29:36Speaker 6: the league as to their credit if this is what
- 1:29:39Speaker 6: they wanted. And I could argue that it's bad for
- 1:29:42Speaker 6: the lead that they've done this, but.
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: They they have parody. They have they They have to
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: an extent, they have legitimate.
- 1:29:49Speaker 3: Party among the top eight teams, but after that it's
- 1:29:53Speaker 3: a big drop off.
- 1:29:54Speaker 6: But they have parody in turns like last year Indiana's
- 1:29:57Speaker 6: in the NBA Finals. This year the Sixers upset the
- 1:30:01Speaker 6: Celtics in the first round. Well, the Wolves upset the
- 1:30:04Speaker 6: Nuggets in the first round, and the way.
- 1:30:06Speaker 3: That can happen. But I'm talking about getting to the
- 1:30:09Speaker 3: you know, winning it.
- 1:30:10Speaker 6: Well, I think that there's a chance that you know,
- 1:30:14Speaker 6: Detroit's not going to come out of.
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: The East that's number one seed in the conference. Like
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: they they've done it.
- 1:30:20Speaker 6: Maybe it's only the top half of the league, but
- 1:30:22Speaker 6: they've done a nice job in the NBA of creating.
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: More because listen, it's tough in every league. Every league
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: has this problem.
- 1:30:28Speaker 6: But back back when you know, like the eighties Celtics
- 1:30:32Speaker 6: for instance, team you know, the nineties with the Bulls,
- 1:30:34Speaker 6: like there was these like dynastic times in the NBA
- 1:30:38Speaker 6: where like it was like a two team league.
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: Well yeah, you know, the same teams every year.
- 1:30:43Speaker 6: Yeah, but now there is there's a lot more parody
- 1:30:46Speaker 6: to it, which I think most people would say is
- 1:30:49Speaker 6: a good thing.
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: You know, I think it's watered.
- 1:30:52Speaker 6: It down personally, Like I don't think that we have
- 1:30:55Speaker 6: like truly great teams anymore because the talent has been
- 1:30:59Speaker 6: spread out too much.
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: Too many teams.
- 1:31:02Speaker 6: I think it's just like you can't really have more
- 1:31:04Speaker 6: than two star money because of the way the CBA
- 1:31:08Speaker 6: is set up, so like you can't really stack a
- 1:31:10Speaker 6: team anymore, which the league would say is good because
- 1:31:13Speaker 6: there's parody. But I would say, well, now there's just
- 1:31:16Speaker 6: a bunch of really good teams, but there's nobody that's like, right,
- 1:31:19Speaker 6: you know, truly a great team.
- 1:31:20Speaker 3: For the amount of money these guys pay for teams,
- 1:31:22Speaker 3: you gotta you know, you gotta keep it somewhat competitive
- 1:31:28Speaker 3: in the lower levels or else. No one.
- 1:31:30Speaker 6: Now they're going to put the anti tanking rules in,
- 1:31:32Speaker 6: and it's they're gonna create parody even more.
- 1:31:36Speaker 3: Dana Virginia and Michigan says, I really feel for Mike today.
- 1:31:40Speaker 3: If the poor guy decides to check in on the
- 1:31:41Speaker 3: show after he gets out of his procedure, he's going
- 1:31:43Speaker 3: to be wondering what kind of drugs the doctors gave him. Also,
- 1:31:47Speaker 3: it's ironic that you're the ones talking about aliens, but
- 1:31:49Speaker 3: it's poor Mike that's getting probed.
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: No, oh yeah, that's nice. True.
- 1:31:56Speaker 3: Matt's in Oregon, he's on the phone. What's up Matt?
- 1:32:00Speaker 16: Hey, guys, good, Hey, a couple of click things.
- 1:32:06Speaker 8: First of all, being from Morgan, I got to see
- 1:32:07Speaker 8: Sadik play four times last year and man, I am
- 1:32:10Speaker 8: so bummed.
- 1:32:11Speaker 7: We didn't get him. Sadiq said, sorry, can you hear me?
- 1:32:17Speaker 27: Yeah yeah, okay, yeah, yeah, okay, bomb that we didn't
- 1:32:25Speaker 27: get them, all right.
- 1:32:25Speaker 8: But hey, the other thing I just wanted to I
- 1:32:27Speaker 8: just wanted to chime in on the volume thing. Okay,
- 1:32:32Speaker 8: it's bad, guys. I think something really needs to be fixed.
- 1:32:36Speaker 8: I mean, I listened primarily on the Apple podcasts, but
- 1:32:39Speaker 8: I have I don't have this issue with any of
- 1:32:40Speaker 8: my other podcasts, Like even like I'll be listening to
- 1:32:44Speaker 8: one and it'll end and it'll go right into Peu
- 1:32:46Speaker 8: and the volume is literally like I have to turn
- 1:32:48Speaker 8: it all the way up, whether it's on the phone,
- 1:32:50Speaker 8: in the car, on the headphones, anything. And I've even
- 1:32:54Speaker 8: tried switching over to Spotify and it's not really any
- 1:32:56Speaker 8: better over there. So I just wanted to chime in
- 1:32:58Speaker 8: on that because it's been.
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: Really we're aware. We're working on it, right.
- 1:33:02Speaker 7: Okay, I think it's fixed.
- 1:33:04Speaker 12: I don't know what this guy's talking about.
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: Well, how do you know it's fixed. I just got
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: to say and listen, I because.
- 1:33:10Speaker 9: Of all the people that we've been talking to saying yes,
- 1:33:13Speaker 9: it's fixed.
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: Okay, Matt, is this have you checked recently?
- 1:33:18Speaker 8: I mean yeah, Tuesday show was really quiet.
- 1:33:20Speaker 12: All right, thank you.
- 1:33:22Speaker 3: And that was on Apple Podcasts and Spotify. All right, yeah,
- 1:33:26Speaker 3: there's something happening in the encoding process, so I don't
- 1:33:31Speaker 3: I don't know right Well, we're gonna keep working on it, Matt.
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 1:33:35Speaker 6: It's really weird to me because I see these complaints
- 1:33:39Speaker 6: from time to time in the comments and stuff like that,
- 1:33:41Speaker 6: and I go, so I go, and I tested myself
- 1:33:44Speaker 6: and it's on all my devices.
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: It always sounds perfectly fine. But how do you are
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: you are you listening on the app? Where are you
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: listening it to YouTube?
- 1:33:54Speaker 6: On YouTube usually, but the comments are saying like you
- 1:33:58Speaker 6: got like I can't hear you turn it up.
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: I think it's more when people download it. Maybe, yeah,
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: I mean listen.
- 1:34:04Speaker 3: I don't know whether it's Apple Podcasts or Spotify or
- 1:34:08Speaker 3: I think that's most of the time when people have
- 1:34:10Speaker 3: a problem, I think, I don't know.
- 1:34:12Speaker 6: I just find it odd because when I every time
- 1:34:15Speaker 6: I see a comment, whether it's on this show or
- 1:34:17Speaker 6: Catch twenty two, that the sound is off, I always
- 1:34:20Speaker 6: double check it myself, just because I'm a curious person,
- 1:34:23Speaker 6: and it always is fine. It's a I never had,
- 1:34:26Speaker 6: like I can hear it perfectly fine.
- 1:34:28Speaker 3: But I don't, like, I don't discount what these people
- 1:34:31Speaker 3: are saying either, do I. I'm nothing more frustrating technology wise.
- 1:34:35Speaker 3: When you're trying to tell someone there's a problem and
- 1:34:37Speaker 3: then the other person says, well, I can't recreate it,
- 1:34:40Speaker 3: It's like, you know, just believe me.
- 1:34:42Speaker 6: Well, but that's my point, is like I'm not saying
- 1:34:44Speaker 6: that they're wrong. I'm just saying, like I can't recreate
- 1:34:47Speaker 6: the problem. Yeah, which if we can't recreate the problem,
- 1:34:50Speaker 6: then it's hard to fix it.
- 1:34:51Speaker 4: Usually sometimes when I listen to you guys, like on Tuesdays,
- 1:34:54Speaker 4: when I'm just cutting clips for it and I'm in
- 1:34:56Speaker 4: the car, I definitely have to turn the volume up.
- 1:34:59Speaker 10: I've never, like abe tested it with another podcast though,
- 1:35:02Speaker 10: to compare it.
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, but I just turn it up.
- 1:35:05Speaker 10: And it's like, okay, poems, Yeah, solved.
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: I don't know, it's interesting.
- 1:35:10Speaker 3: Yeah, let's see a lot of emails coming in appreciate
- 1:35:15Speaker 3: it about life. So let's take a call Sean's and Vancouver.
- 1:35:19Speaker 3: What's up, Sean.
- 1:35:21Speaker 27: I'm listening on the website on my phone and it's
- 1:35:25Speaker 27: fun and I often listen, uh through the Apple app
- 1:35:30Speaker 27: for the podcast app, and it's always been fine, So
- 1:35:32Speaker 27: I guess it's different for different people.
- 1:35:35Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:35:35Speaker 27: I want to find out from Paul what his recommendations
- 1:35:38Speaker 27: are because I'm going to be in Florence on the nineteenth,
- 1:35:41Speaker 27: so that'll be amazing.
- 1:35:42Speaker 3: Okay, we'll have to get a huge review of his
- 1:35:47Speaker 3: trip when he gets back.
- 1:35:48Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: It doesn't have to much you type.
- 1:35:53Speaker 27: You know, Fred, I'm I'm a big fan of I
- 1:35:55Speaker 27: love going to interactive museums. I've been to Canon, Cooperstown,
- 1:35:59Speaker 27: Hockey Hell Fame, Toronto, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Graceland,
- 1:36:01Speaker 27: Academy of Motion Pictures, Grammys, Jazz and New New Orleans,
- 1:36:04Speaker 27: BB King Museum of Flight, moll Pop and Seattle and
- 1:36:07Speaker 27: Mercedes in strescard Ramones and Berlin. But my favorite, I'm biased,
- 1:36:12Speaker 27: is the Patriots Hall of Fame really, so what I'm Yeah,
- 1:36:15Speaker 27: I love the big well because I'm a huge Patriots
- 1:36:17Speaker 27: and obviously, but it's so interactive. It's amazing, and I'm wondering,
- 1:36:20Speaker 27: why can't we just have more players go in every
- 1:36:23Speaker 27: year and just expand the museum.
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: More players go be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
- 1:36:29Speaker 27: Yeah, exactly instead of Won bringing Mankins and and Minitary
- 1:36:36Speaker 27: need to be in there and you know then yeah
- 1:36:38Speaker 27: will be next year.
- 1:36:39Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm not in favor that, you know, they'll all
- 1:36:42Speaker 3: get in in their time, but I you know, I actually, honestly,
- 1:36:48Speaker 3: I think like visiting that portion of the Hall.
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: Of Fame is the most boring.
- 1:36:54Speaker 3: Noah scene, Like all right, so so Logan Mankins is
- 1:36:57Speaker 3: in the Hall of Fame and I can look up
- 1:36:59Speaker 3: his stats and the video on him.
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: I want to see all the other stuff.
- 1:37:02Speaker 6: I feel like it depends on I like the cool memorabilia,
- 1:37:06Speaker 6: like if like when I would go with like my
- 1:37:07Speaker 6: dad or just his dad that remember like all the
- 1:37:11Speaker 6: players from that are in from like the seventies and
- 1:37:13Speaker 6: eighties and stuff like they like to watch it and
- 1:37:15Speaker 6: like tell me about you know, what they remember.
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: About the Bob d when played correct. Now that that
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: sort of thing.
- 1:37:23Speaker 6: All those places though, and he picked the Patriots Hall
- 1:37:25Speaker 6: of Fame is his favorite.
- 1:37:27Speaker 1: That that's I think. I think he's kissing a little
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: but that's fine, a little bit. You'll take it, Yeah,
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: we'll take it.
- 1:37:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:37:33Speaker 6: I kind of found the Baseball Hall of Fame to
- 1:37:35Speaker 6: be a little bit man, not gonna lie.
- 1:37:37Speaker 10: Really the area go there for like a baseball tournament.
- 1:37:41Speaker 6: No I went when I so, I went to Ithaca
- 1:37:43Speaker 6: and it's only a couple hours from Indica. So me
- 1:37:46Speaker 6: and my dad went to the Baseball Hall of Fame. Uh,
- 1:37:49Speaker 6: just on a weekend trip. The the area where all
- 1:37:52Speaker 6: the the plaques are and stuff is really really cool,
- 1:37:55Speaker 6: Like we spent a lot of time there.
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: The rest of it was it was fine. Yeah.
- 1:38:00Speaker 3: In California, writes in Multi cam Colonoscopies, is pasta real
- 1:38:05Speaker 3: Italian food, star Wars, Missing Scientists, Nothing, black, white, dark light.
- 1:38:11Speaker 3: Calvin Johnson might be an alien. The train is off
- 1:38:14Speaker 3: the rails and engineer Fred is pushing the accelerators, saying faster, faster,
- 1:38:18Speaker 3: with a glint in his eye, and I'm here for it.
- 1:38:22Speaker 10: Us talking about pasta in Italy.
- 1:38:24Speaker 3: Um Ota discussions will be boring.
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: How will you up your game? Yeah?
- 1:38:28Speaker 3: I know everything else goes is boring.
- 1:38:33Speaker 6: As we were talking about the food in Italy, I
- 1:38:36Speaker 6: realized how just dumb I sounded like. I was like,
- 1:38:40Speaker 6: I had no idea what I'm talking about, totally talking
- 1:38:43Speaker 6: out of my butt about this.
- 1:38:46Speaker 3: Let's see, Fred, I think you have some residual anesthesia.
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: Rattling around Hancock is an.
- 1:38:51Speaker 3: Ancient civilization buffoon tossing crumbs to guppies. We're learning all
- 1:38:56Speaker 3: the time, some more than others.
- 1:38:58Speaker 1: Okay, I don't know. I don't even know what that means.
- 1:39:01Speaker 10: I'm the one that brought up Graham. So that's yeah,
- 1:39:04Speaker 10: an unncessary shot on you.
- 1:39:05Speaker 3: You see on the radio, like, how do you listen to?
- 1:39:07Speaker 3: He's a podcast?
- 1:39:08Speaker 10: No, he has the Netflix documentary Ancient Apocalypse.
- 1:39:11Speaker 12: Oh okay, it's got two seasons. It's a pretty good show.
- 1:39:14Speaker 3: Was excellent, uh Bill in Norfolk, Virginia, once again Matt
- 1:39:18Speaker 3: and Alex no Ball bringing up the scientists in an
- 1:39:21Speaker 3: ataboy to Fred for asking the biggest question, why isn't
- 1:39:24Speaker 3: this bigger news? Because we have the attention span of
- 1:39:27Speaker 3: flies and around to the next thing in the news
- 1:39:30Speaker 3: cycle until you keep asking questions. Also look up the
- 1:39:33Speaker 3: name David grooce g r us C h oh boy
- 1:39:38Speaker 3: another missing person. I guess, huh something like that.
- 1:39:41Speaker 1: I just want to make sure I don't go missing
- 1:39:43Speaker 1: at this rate. You'll know he'll bring it right back.
- 1:39:47Speaker 4: Don't worry, no, h UFO whistleblower, United States Air Force
- 1:39:55Speaker 4: officer and intelligence official.
- 1:39:57Speaker 1: I think I saw a UFO once.
- 1:40:00Speaker 10: Really, yeah, I just bring this out now.
- 1:40:02Speaker 1: I mean yeah, I.
- 1:40:06Speaker 6: Wasn't, but go ahead, and and we I have eyewitnesses too.
- 1:40:09Speaker 1: I wasn't alone. So, Uh.
- 1:40:11Speaker 6: We were out on a lake when I was a teenager. Uh,
- 1:40:16Speaker 6: and we were we decided that we were going to
- 1:40:18Speaker 6: sleep on the boat for the night that my my
- 1:40:20Speaker 6: friend had his family had a boat and we were
- 1:40:22Speaker 6: going to sleep on the boat. So we were all
- 1:40:24Speaker 6: out on the boat on the middle of the lake
- 1:40:26Speaker 6: and like you know, it was dark, it was and
- 1:40:28Speaker 6: we we saw a UFO, an unidentified object that was
- 1:40:34Speaker 6: just flying across the sky.
- 1:40:37Speaker 10: And no one else makes you say it was a UFO.
- 1:40:39Speaker 6: Because it wasn't a I can guarantee you it wasn't
- 1:40:42Speaker 6: a plane. And this was way before drones and stuff
- 1:40:45Speaker 6: like that existed like in a regular, you know, commercial basis.
- 1:40:50Speaker 6: I don't know what it was, but it looked like
- 1:40:52Speaker 6: an alien spacecraft to me, okay, and to my friends
- 1:40:55Speaker 6: as well, well, well we all to this day insist.
- 1:40:58Speaker 3: That we saw don'd with phones now, like if there was,
- 1:41:02Speaker 3: we'd know about it if there was a But.
- 1:41:04Speaker 1: This was before then.
- 1:41:05Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm not like like I want, like I said,
- 1:41:07Speaker 3: I want to believe, but like there's a lot of
- 1:41:10Speaker 3: pilots who have said this stuff and they're told to
- 1:41:13Speaker 3: just like never talk about it again.
- 1:41:15Speaker 4: Where they're up in the sky and they see things
- 1:41:18Speaker 4: that are crazy that just the five physics as we
- 1:41:20Speaker 4: know it.
- 1:41:20Speaker 1: And it looked like a.
- 1:41:24Speaker 6: I'd say it looked more like a blimp than it
- 1:41:26Speaker 6: looked like a plane. But there would be no reason
- 1:41:29Speaker 6: for a blimp to be in at this time of
- 1:41:32Speaker 6: night in a random part of New Hampshire like it
- 1:41:36Speaker 6: it didn't try.
- 1:41:37Speaker 3: Is it by the Air Force base up there? I
- 1:41:40Speaker 3: don't think he's Air Force base? No, No, I don't know.
- 1:41:44Speaker 3: It looked like a looked like a UFO. Don Juan
- 1:41:48Speaker 3: in Oregon loyal listener for around ten years. So I
- 1:41:52Speaker 3: rarely miss an episode, but man, my ears prooked up
- 1:41:54Speaker 3: when you all started discussing today's topics.
- 1:41:57Speaker 1: I'll keep it quick. For all things pyramids and.
- 1:41:59Speaker 3: Giants, look into a guy by the name of Timothy Alberino.
- 1:42:03Speaker 3: He's a modern day Indiana Jones. Giant bones have already
- 1:42:06Speaker 3: been found and the Smithsonian has them, but will not
- 1:42:09Speaker 3: show them due to the fear of shifting our reality
- 1:42:12Speaker 3: and how civilization came to be. Okay, now for my
- 1:42:16Speaker 3: CGI versus old time special effects argument, the best example
- 1:42:20Speaker 3: is this. Go watch the original Willy Wonka in the
- 1:42:23Speaker 3: Chocolate Factory and then watch the newer one with Johnny Depp.
- 1:42:27Speaker 3: The old Ones CGI is so cheesy and unbelievable, whereas
- 1:42:31Speaker 3: the original movie they didn't have the ability to use
- 1:42:33Speaker 3: such technology, so everything was made by hand on set.
- 1:42:37Speaker 3: In my opinion, was far more believable.
- 1:42:40Speaker 21: I mean, the set of the old movie was actually edible,
- 1:42:43Speaker 21: and they use multiple different people for the umpa lumpas
- 1:42:46Speaker 21: instead of how in the new one they use one
- 1:42:49Speaker 21: guy and just cloned him. Anyway, Absolutely love today's show
- 1:42:52Speaker 21: and I wish I was there in person discussed this
- 1:42:55Speaker 21: with you.
- 1:42:56Speaker 6: The original Willy Walker is the only one that I
- 1:42:58Speaker 6: will identify with me too, the Johnny one Goodbye, Jean
- 1:43:03Speaker 6: Wilder Wilder when they when they when they're on the
- 1:43:06Speaker 6: boat in the tunnel, that used to scare me when
- 1:43:09Speaker 6: I was a little kid.
- 1:43:11Speaker 12: Terrifying is Timothy Alberino.
- 1:43:13Speaker 16: Guy.
- 1:43:13Speaker 12: He looks like Tom Cruise in the Top Gun.
- 1:43:16Speaker 1: Wow.
- 1:43:17Speaker 12: Not Indiana Jones.
- 1:43:18Speaker 6: That's not derogatory, that's it. That's a compliment if you
- 1:43:20Speaker 6: look like Tom Cruise and Top Gun.
- 1:43:22Speaker 10: I don't think he was saying that he looked like him.
- 1:43:24Speaker 10: He was just his essence.
- 1:43:26Speaker 12: This guy's a tense.
- 1:43:30Speaker 1: Uh Ja.
- 1:43:31Speaker 3: Darius keeps sending me emails, but they're like all in black.
- 1:43:35Speaker 1: I can't read a word nothing. It's just like one.
- 1:43:38Speaker 3: No, it's not nothing because it's blackness.
- 1:43:41Speaker 1: Black is something.
- 1:43:43Speaker 10: Update from Deuce. Deuce has survived. His colonoscopy has survived.
- 1:43:49Speaker 1: I mean that of health. I hope. I wasn't really
- 1:43:52Speaker 1: expecting him to not survive.
- 1:43:55Speaker 10: Hey, anesthesia, you never know, never know.
- 1:43:58Speaker 1: It's not that deep.
- 1:43:59Speaker 6: Connie West, my Eric is in Fort Meade, Maryland, clastic
- 1:44:02Speaker 6: surgery situation.
- 1:44:04Speaker 1: Fort Mead. Thank you for service.
- 1:44:05Speaker 3: On Tuesday show you post the question why is Empire
- 1:44:09Speaker 3: Strikes Back regarded as the best Star Wars movie.
- 1:44:13Speaker 1: I suspect there were a few reasons.
- 1:44:15Speaker 3: The practical special effects were far superior to Episode four
- 1:44:18Speaker 3: and still hold up well. The score, it is by
- 1:44:21Speaker 3: far one of the best movie scores by possibly the
- 1:44:24Speaker 3: best film composer, introducing one of the most recognizable sections,
- 1:44:29Speaker 3: the Imperible Imperial March.
- 1:44:31Speaker 1: Is that one that that was introduced in two In.
- 1:44:33Speaker 6: That maybe, but the score is obviously famous. In a
- 1:44:37Speaker 6: Star Wars.
- 1:44:38Speaker 3: Movie, there was more world building or in the case,
- 1:44:42Speaker 3: galaxy building, introducing new characters like Yoda and Lando, as
- 1:44:46Speaker 3: well as new worlds like hof, Bestmin and Dagaba.
- 1:44:51Speaker 1: That's I mean, Orlando is a great character. Yeah, so
- 1:44:53Speaker 1: that's fair.
- 1:44:54Speaker 3: It was the first time we see the hero face
- 1:44:57Speaker 3: off with the bad guy.
- 1:44:59Speaker 1: There was more ca depth.
- 1:45:01Speaker 3: I Am Your Father is one of the greatest, if
- 1:45:03Speaker 3: not the greatest plot twists in cinematic history. Hans Solo
- 1:45:07Speaker 3: became one of the coolest protagonists out there, helping to
- 1:45:10Speaker 3: launch Harrison Ford as one of the biggest movie.
- 1:45:12Speaker 1: Stars over the next two decades. It's true.
- 1:45:15Speaker 3: Finally, at least for now, it ended on a down note,
- 1:45:18Speaker 3: which is not common for this type of film. I'll
- 1:45:21Speaker 3: wrap this up with my own hot take. On last
- 1:45:23Speaker 3: Thursday Show, somebody mentioned It's a Wonderful Life. That thing
- 1:45:28Speaker 3: is barely a Christmas movie if you look, if you
- 1:45:31Speaker 3: took all Christmas references out of it, the story would
- 1:45:34Speaker 3: remain the same.
- 1:45:35Speaker 1: I know, but it's a Christmas movie. It happens around
- 1:45:38Speaker 1: Christmas and the Angel and everything. And yeah, I mean, come.
- 1:45:42Speaker 6: On, I've only seen the like I've only seen a
- 1:45:46Speaker 6: few Christmas movies. That's not I don't feel like that
- 1:45:48Speaker 6: needs to be on.
- 1:45:49Speaker 1: The list to go.
- 1:45:50Speaker 6: All good points about the Star Empire strikes back all true.
- 1:45:54Speaker 1: Yeah, I always Lando is great. What was it like to.
- 1:45:59Speaker 6: Not know that he was Luke's father, because like I
- 1:46:02Speaker 6: knew that, Like it's because it's so publicly known that
- 1:46:07Speaker 6: that's like the plot twist. Like by the time I
- 1:46:10Speaker 6: was getting into Star Wars, I already knew that that
- 1:46:12Speaker 6: was Luke's father. But you when you guys all saw
- 1:46:14Speaker 6: it for the first time, I mean.
- 1:46:15Speaker 3: I don't remember being so oh my god, you know,
- 1:46:18Speaker 3: like I don't know why, but I kind.
- 1:46:20Speaker 1: Of figured, well, I do drop some significant yeah.
- 1:46:22Speaker 3: Right, I kind of I don't know if I sick.
- 1:46:25Speaker 3: I can't really say that I saw it coming, but
- 1:46:28Speaker 3: I wasn't shocked.
- 1:46:29Speaker 1: You know. Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:46:30Speaker 6: Then they find out that him and Layers brother and
- 1:46:34Speaker 6: sister and sister they had already kissed it.
- 1:46:37Speaker 1: I think that was that was.
- 1:46:38Speaker 3: More of a little bit of oh really than than
- 1:46:41Speaker 3: finding out that Darth Vader was his was his father.
- 1:46:44Speaker 1: It kind of felt like that was the way it was.
- 1:46:46Speaker 6: It was building, But I thought maybe that was just
- 1:46:48Speaker 6: because I kind of I already had already knew.
- 1:46:51Speaker 3: So I guess I was kind of rooting for Luke,
- 1:46:53Speaker 3: you know, to get together with her, and now he couldn't,
- 1:46:57Speaker 3: you know, Yeah, yeah, I was gonna say this isn't
- 1:47:01Speaker 3: and now Harrison. Then Harrison Ford took over. We were solo.
- 1:47:05Speaker 6: We were watching another show on HBO and there was
- 1:47:08Speaker 6: a trailer for House of the Dragon and Jess was like, oh,
- 1:47:14Speaker 6: is that is that the blonde girl? And I was like,
- 1:47:16Speaker 6: different blonde girl, but same family. And then she was like,
- 1:47:19Speaker 6: so if we went as like a Halloween cotchum, I
- 1:47:21Speaker 6: was like, no, she marries her uncle, so we're not
- 1:47:24Speaker 6: going to do that.
- 1:47:26Speaker 1: There was it was accepted.
- 1:47:27Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, Tyler writes in he's in South Carolina. I'm
- 1:47:32Speaker 3: not sure if you mentioned your thoughts on this yet,
- 1:47:34Speaker 3: but did everyone What did everyone think of Project Hale?
- 1:47:37Speaker 1: Murray Hail?
- 1:47:38Speaker 6: Mary?
- 1:47:38Speaker 1: Haven't seen it yet?
- 1:47:39Speaker 7: Heard?
- 1:47:39Speaker 1: I want to. I haven't seen it.
- 1:47:41Speaker 3: Is it it's out of the theaters right probably? Okay,
- 1:47:46Speaker 3: it was in the theaters of like a while. I
- 1:47:49Speaker 3: want to say, yeah, but I do want to see it. Also,
- 1:47:52Speaker 3: my favorite childhood movie experience is going to see The
- 1:47:55Speaker 3: First Iron Man in two thousand and eight.
- 1:47:57Speaker 1: Okay. Uh.
- 1:47:59Speaker 3: And I am a big fan of hearing you guys
- 1:48:00Speaker 3: talk about all Boston sports. I know some hate it,
- 1:48:03Speaker 3: but I love it. I can't help myself. I've been
- 1:48:07Speaker 3: sometimes you have to.
- 1:48:09Speaker 6: There's been some sleep well, I mean nights since the
- 1:48:12Speaker 6: Celtics loss, so you know, yeah.
- 1:48:15Speaker 1: Who's this? Uh, it's been a lot n veg at
- 1:48:19Speaker 1: been tough. What's up, Vinnie?
- 1:48:22Speaker 11: Hey, guys, how's it going good?
- 1:48:26Speaker 4: Uh?
- 1:48:27Speaker 1: You know?
- 1:48:27Speaker 11: I I normally listen on the on the website, and
- 1:48:32Speaker 11: recently I've switched to YouTube because YouTube has an option
- 1:48:36Speaker 11: where you can go back even with the you know,
- 1:48:39Speaker 11: with the live episode, you can actually go back to
- 1:48:41Speaker 11: the to the beginning. If I miss something. So I
- 1:48:44Speaker 11: don't know if that's something you guys can work on
- 1:48:45Speaker 11: the on the app Vature's website, right, I usual sure
- 1:48:51Speaker 11: you have available on the on the app, or you
- 1:48:54Speaker 11: can go back to the live podcast. And so just
- 1:48:58Speaker 11: my five cents on that.
- 1:49:00Speaker 7: I have a question.
- 1:49:04Speaker 11: What should be our expectation for Lomo on the first
- 1:49:07Speaker 11: year and the second year, Like what should we be expecting?
- 1:49:11Speaker 11: And you know that we can say, look, this was
- 1:49:13Speaker 11: good or it was bad, you know, his first year
- 1:49:15Speaker 11: in his second year, Well, if we.
- 1:49:17Speaker 3: See Lomo his first year, that means Morgan, Moses, there's
- 1:49:21Speaker 3: something going on with him. So do we want that?
- 1:49:24Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean obviously you hope that that doesn't happen
- 1:49:27Speaker 6: with Moses or Campbell, that he's forced to play out
- 1:49:31Speaker 6: of injury.
- 1:49:31Speaker 1: But he plays that obviously you evaluate and see what
- 1:49:34Speaker 1: he looks like. But I think that.
- 1:49:37Speaker 6: The floor of it as a rookie is him pushing
- 1:49:41Speaker 6: for snaps as either like a sixth offensive lineman in
- 1:49:44Speaker 6: those jumbo packages. Obviously, if he has to pitch hit
- 1:49:49Speaker 6: for Moses or Campbell if they get hurt, you know,
- 1:49:52Speaker 6: for a short period of time.
- 1:49:53Speaker 1: By year or two, he should be a starter.
- 1:49:55Speaker 6: I mean, I love Morgan Moses and I'm not trying
- 1:49:58Speaker 6: to drive him to the airport or any thing like that,
- 1:50:00Speaker 6: but you drafted a guy in the first round with
- 1:50:03Speaker 6: starting caliber trades at tackle. By next season, by twenty
- 1:50:07Speaker 6: twenty seven, he should be starting. On one side, I
- 1:50:09Speaker 6: agree with it. Whether Moses has shown signs of age
- 1:50:13Speaker 6: or not, that's right. And I hate to like kick
- 1:50:15Speaker 6: him to the curve like that, but that's just the
- 1:50:17Speaker 6: reality of the business.
- 1:50:18Speaker 3: That's what it is. Yeah, So I and hopefully maybe
- 1:50:21Speaker 3: Morgan's wants to stay on the team and be that
- 1:50:24Speaker 3: you know, super sub or whatever. But yeah, like by
- 1:50:27Speaker 3: twenty seven, I would hope that Lamu is your I.
- 1:50:32Speaker 6: Think you're gonna Unfortunately, just by the nature of the
- 1:50:36Speaker 6: of the sport, like Loan was gonna get his chance
- 1:50:39Speaker 6: to play as a rookie, you know, Nate Solder got
- 1:50:41Speaker 6: a couple of chances to play as a rookie too.
- 1:50:43Speaker 6: You know, that wasn't the plan. But people get hurt
- 1:50:45Speaker 6: and things happen, and Campbell got hurt.
- 1:50:47Speaker 1: Last year.
- 1:50:48Speaker 6: Moses was mostly healthy, but you know, that was kind
- 1:50:51Speaker 6: of remarkable that he was as healthy as he was
- 1:50:53Speaker 6: at his age. So even if it's only a spot
- 1:50:56Speaker 6: start here and there for guys that are injured, it's
- 1:50:58Speaker 6: gonna happen at some point.
- 1:51:00Speaker 3: Captain Steven Men's writing in from Fort Drum, New York,
- 1:51:03Speaker 3: thank you for your service. Potentially a dumb question, but
- 1:51:06Speaker 3: I've been wondering, why would you use a tight end
- 1:51:09Speaker 3: who's primarily a blocking tight end over the six offensive
- 1:51:12Speaker 3: lineman package. We've seen offensive tackles catch touchdowns before, so
- 1:51:16Speaker 3: why play an objectively worst blocker when you don't intend
- 1:51:19Speaker 3: to catch passes anyway?
- 1:51:21Speaker 6: There's a little bit more pass catching upside with like
- 1:51:24Speaker 6: a Julian Hill, and then putting an offensive lineman out there,
- 1:51:27Speaker 6: there's at least a little bit more of a threat
- 1:51:29Speaker 6: that you're they're gonna throw them the ball when you
- 1:51:31Speaker 6: have an offensive lineman out there. Sure, we've seen guys
- 1:51:34Speaker 6: catch touchdowns on like on the goal line like Mike
- 1:51:36Speaker 6: Rabel used to do, but they're not catching passes in
- 1:51:39Speaker 6: between the twenties and stuff like that, and you know,
- 1:51:41Speaker 6: actually making plays in the passing game.
- 1:51:43Speaker 1: They're catching Oh, they forgot to cover him and he's
- 1:51:45Speaker 1: wide open in the end zone.
- 1:51:47Speaker 6: There's no one around him, right, Like, that's not the
- 1:51:49Speaker 6: same as you know, catching passes. So uh that that's
- 1:51:53Speaker 6: why the sixth offensive lineman package, though, is something that
- 1:51:57Speaker 6: is becoming way more in vogue around league. I'm pretty
- 1:52:00Speaker 6: much every team has it at their disposal at this
- 1:52:03Speaker 6: point to go to. But a guy like Julian Hill,
- 1:52:06Speaker 6: even though he's not known for being a big time receiver,
- 1:52:09Speaker 6: is at least a little bit more of a receiving
- 1:52:11Speaker 6: threat than low move or you know whatever it would be.
- 1:52:15Speaker 3: Jack and and Arbor says, It's a Wonderful Life is
- 1:52:18Speaker 3: definitely a Christmas movie because it's about hope and the
- 1:52:21Speaker 3: Christmas holiday is about hope.
- 1:52:23Speaker 6: I mean, I agree, come on that that. You can't
- 1:52:26Speaker 6: every movie about hope is a Christmas movie. No, but
- 1:52:29Speaker 6: it's also Star Wars Hope.
- 1:52:31Speaker 3: It's about it's also during the Christmas holiday and it
- 1:52:35Speaker 3: all happens. They're having this Christmas party and it's it's
- 1:52:38Speaker 3: it's the Christmas movie. Oh.
- 1:52:40Speaker 1: I'm not disputing that.
- 1:52:41Speaker 6: I just think that that's a very vague definition of
- 1:52:44Speaker 6: Christmas fair enough, But I think what's a Christmas movie
- 1:52:48Speaker 6: is something I'm very passionate about. As you can imagine
- 1:52:50Speaker 6: as someone that didn't well.
- 1:52:51Speaker 3: Die Hard Die hard is not a holiday Christmas movie.
- 1:52:55Speaker 1: It's not. I agree with that wholeheartedly.
- 1:52:58Speaker 6: All these people to say is they're just it's he
- 1:53:01Speaker 6: literally trolling. He says ho ho ho one time, and
- 1:53:05Speaker 6: it's a Christmas movie. Apparently like that that just is Yeah,
- 1:53:10Speaker 6: we're on the same page.
- 1:53:11Speaker 3: Jadarius writes in wondering what you guys think about Craig
- 1:53:15Speaker 3: Woodson's growth in being capable of getting more interceptions this year,
- 1:53:19Speaker 3: giving his late playoff breakout and also being paired with
- 1:53:22Speaker 3: a ball Hall ballhawk like KB.
- 1:53:25Speaker 6: Yeah, you know, I think his skill set has always
- 1:53:29Speaker 6: been a little bit more like what we saw in
- 1:53:32Speaker 6: terms of peak last year in the playoffs, which is
- 1:53:35Speaker 6: like kind of just a guy that's everywhere and makes
- 1:53:37Speaker 6: tackles all over the field and stuff like that. You know,
- 1:53:40Speaker 6: he doesn't necessarily, to me have like a natural Ballhowking
- 1:53:45Speaker 6: skill set, but that doesn't mean he can't grow that
- 1:53:47Speaker 6: or he can't develop that. But I don't look at
- 1:53:49Speaker 6: him as like that type of player. I definitely look
- 1:53:51Speaker 6: at him more as you know, a guy that can
- 1:53:53Speaker 6: just cover a lot of ground and be sort of
- 1:53:55Speaker 6: everywhere like he.
- 1:53:56Speaker 1: Was in the playoffs. But maybe Kevin Byer gives him
- 1:54:00Speaker 1: some tips.
- 1:54:00Speaker 6: You know, maybe he gives them some pointers about how
- 1:54:02Speaker 6: to be around the ball a little bit more.
- 1:54:06Speaker 3: Okay, Jordan and Kentucky. This is how you know it's
- 1:54:10Speaker 3: the off season when the show top, when this is
- 1:54:13Speaker 3: the show topic. Wait for the lawnmower talks coming soon. Well,
- 1:54:17Speaker 3: it is getting to be the lawn cutting season, so
- 1:54:20Speaker 3: you know we'll probably get into lawnmower.
- 1:54:21Speaker 6: One of my more famous moments on this show is
- 1:54:24Speaker 6: telling everybody that I never know anything.
- 1:54:28Speaker 12: I bought a new lawnmower last week, a nice Toro.
- 1:54:30Speaker 12: It's beautiful.
- 1:54:30Speaker 1: You got a toro? Did you self propelled?
- 1:54:33Speaker 9: Self propelled? I didn't go self propelled. There's one hundred
- 1:54:35Speaker 9: bucks more for the self propelled?
- 1:54:36Speaker 1: Really, so you're gonna you don't have a They got
- 1:54:40Speaker 1: me on.
- 1:54:40Speaker 12: Epidural steroids shots. Now my back's are right, I can push.
- 1:54:43Speaker 1: I thought, you have to have surgery.
- 1:54:45Speaker 12: They want to wait one more year. Really, they want
- 1:54:48Speaker 12: the disc to be on the disc.
- 1:54:50Speaker 1: Why do they have to wait that?
- 1:54:51Speaker 12: The reasons, but the neuros.
- 1:54:54Speaker 9: My primary care doctor said I need surgery. The neurosurgeon said, no,
- 1:54:57Speaker 9: you got another year before we could do it. Right now,
- 1:54:59Speaker 9: we'll do pills shots.
- 1:55:00Speaker 1: Okay, they want your back to really be broken before.
- 1:55:03Speaker 12: They want me to be paralyzed before they do surgery.
- 1:55:06Speaker 3: Yeah. Wow, don't mess around with that though. I mean
- 1:55:10Speaker 3: that whole spine, anything near that spine, you know. All right, Well, listen,
- 1:55:17Speaker 3: it's been fun, but that's going to be it for
- 1:55:22Speaker 3: this edition of Patriots Unfiltered.
- 1:55:25Speaker 1: We've got uh four o'clock around.
- 1:55:29Speaker 3: We will have the live event on the field with
