- 0:54A, Hey, y'all, welcome to today's show. We'll just pick right
- 1:03up where we left off last time with the radio replies and didn't get into
- 1:08fallow sparago and such, and you know, who knows, whatever else comes
- 1:14up along the way. You know, these shows go, they're they're really
- 1:18spontaneous, to say the least. What a beautiful cold day it is here
- 1:23today, though, I mean, it's just it's gorgeous that the sugn has
- 1:26that it's that pale winter sign, but not quite yet, you know,
- 1:32it still has that soft glow of fall. Soon, you know, soon
- 1:38it's going to be that very pale sun that can be a little bleak,
- 1:42but this one still looks really nice, and there's still some leaves on the
- 1:46trees. And I've just been enjoying the Chris cool air and a big hot
- 1:51bowl of soup and now I'm I'm in my big comfy chair with a blanket
- 1:56across my lap and oh a little swallow bourbon by my side, and it's
- 2:00just one of those days you say, you think, you know, life's
- 2:04pretty good. Actually life is pretty good, but yeah, you know,
- 2:08obviously it's not for everybody right now, and we all have our own sufferings,
- 2:13and let's just, you know, pray for each other. That's what
- 2:15we're supposed to do. Pray for each other and lift each other up.
- 2:19It's it's it's quiet here, but it's it's it's really a nice day,
- 2:24really a nice day. So let's get into it. And you remember,
- 2:29the person was questioning the priests about what they thought were inconsistencies in the Bible.
- 2:37And they've gone through the genealogy of Christ and all that kind of minutia
- 2:40that you know, modern Christians don't really pay attention to. You know,
- 2:46you don't need to. I mean, the genealogies of Jesus were very important
- 2:52to the Jews of two thousand years ago. I skipped that chapter. You
- 3:00know, maybe I'm wrong in doing that, but I skip it. It
- 3:02doesn't edify me in the least. But the person questioning them thought they had
- 3:08found inconsistencies in numbers and names. And after explaining it thoroughly that you know,
- 3:14one book was written for the Jews and another for the Gentiles, and
- 3:16one was more complete in its genealogy than the other. And they reference the
- 3:23said many scholars say, Well, the person comes back and says, as
- 3:25often happens, you say. Many scholars thus reply, do you suggest that
- 3:30others propose a more satisfactory explanation? The preachers respond, others believe that they
- 3:37have a more satisfy satisfactory solution of the difficulty. The Jews disputed among themselves
- 3:43whether the Messiah was to come from David through Solomon or through Nathan. Saint
- 3:47Matthew abstracts from the notion of consanguinity that means blood relation and deals only with
- 3:57the juridicial juridicial rights of the dividic succession. My word, could they use
- 4:03more complicated language? A successor is not necessarily a son, and Saint Matthew
- 4:10shows how the Davidic rights descend from Joseph and his legal son Jesus through Solomon.
- 4:17The genealogy given by Saint Matthew has thus only a conventional value and necessarily
- 4:24differs from the real and legal genealogy according to the consanguinity given by Saint Luke.
- 4:30Many modern scholars claim that this theory has greater probabilibility and that the preceding
- 4:36explanation would reply by denying the existence of the problem. When asked to solve
- 4:43the problem of reconciling the divergent genealogies of their principles. There would have to
- 4:48be divergence. Yeah, yeah, that's splitting hairs. As far as I'm
- 4:54concerned, I'm not going to weigh in on that. So the person goes
- 4:57on says, how could Augustus order Sin quote the whole world at that time?
- 5:02And they just simply replied the expression meant everybody, whether in a given
- 5:06province or a locality. The person says, antiquarians say that there was never
- 5:12a census of the Roman Empire. And they reply, if men say that,
- 5:16ask them to prove it. If they could mention a thousand books which
- 5:20do not mention a census, that would not prove that a census did not
- 5:24take place, but merely those books do not mention it. Josephus and his
- 5:29Jewish Antiquities describes a census of Judea, a census to which Saint Luke refers
- 5:33an acts and ounce of positive evidence is worth a thousand omissions. And you
- 5:40know, that's sort of what I was saying yesterday. When someone makes an
- 5:44accusation, the burden is on them. The onus is on them to prove
- 5:49the accusation. Not on you to defend it. When someone says to you,
- 5:55Catholics worship Mary and the Saints. Catholics worships statues like idols, tell
- 6:01them prove it. Yeah, tell me how you know that. Prove it,
- 6:08and they'll come up with a lot of anti Catholic writing, and you
- 6:11say, okay, show me a Catholic writer that said this. Show me
- 6:15a Catholic scholar. Show me a pope that told us to deify to worship
- 6:23Mary and the Saints as God. Show me a pope that says we should
- 6:26worship statues like idols. Show me in the Catechism, show me in can
- 6:30in law. If you don't want to get that technical, show me otherwise,
- 6:35it's just someone's opinion who isn't Catholic. It's not our doctrine. It's
- 6:41prejudice, it's bigotry. It's a misguided person saying something false even if they
- 6:46think it to be true. Don't even get into it with them. I
- 6:49mean, don't just save your ammo. Seriously, sit back and let them
- 6:56prove the accusation before you ever put up a defense. If they cannot prove
- 7:01it's true, you could just say, well, it's faults and move on.
- 7:06If you want to pull a you know, passage out of Catechism telling
- 7:11them what we actually believe, that's fine, they're not gonna believe it.
- 7:15But if they can't prove that their argument is true, you will do more
- 7:19to undermine their prejudice and bigotry make them question what they believe than you ever
- 7:27will. Quoting in verses from scripture, taking passages out of the Catechism because
- 7:31they don't believe Catholic writers, they don't believe Catholicism is real, undermine their
- 7:38confidence in what they believe to be real, which is an absolute faulsehood and
- 7:41lie, and then you know you've set them off balance, and then you
- 7:46can actually have a constructive conversation or just move on, which is what I
- 7:53often do. I rarely argue with anti Catholics anymore. I'm just like,
- 7:57well, okay, you're an idiot, and I move on. Seriously.
- 8:00I mean, I'll say, well, okay, the Bible doesn't say that,
- 8:01the Catechism doesn't say that, no Catholic writing says that, and what
- 8:07you're saying is stupid, and I just you know, if it's social media,
- 8:09I just block them and move on. I don't bother wasting my time
- 8:13with them anymore. If they want to read my book, they can read
- 8:15my book. If someone gets in touch with me and said, I read
- 8:18in your book this and I want to take issue with it, I have
- 8:20a long drawn out conversation with him. And sometimes someone's respectful and they just
- 8:24have an honest question or you know, an honest disagreement. Yeah, I'll
- 8:30take plenty of time with them, a lot time, longer than most people
- 8:33will. But when someone comes out and just starts throwing false accusations, I
- 8:37just say, well, okay, you think that because you're wrong, and
- 8:41it's up to you to prove me wrong. It's up to you to prove
- 8:45yourself right. And if you can't do it, if you can't win that
- 8:48argument with yourself, I'm not going to participate in it. Have fun,
- 8:52you know. Whatever the person says. But the census mentioned by Josephus took
- 9:01place in eighty six, not at the time of Christ's birth. They reply
- 9:05there was a previous census at the time of Christ's birth, of which Josephus
- 9:09makes no mention. Saint Luke is a perfectly reliable historian, both in his
- 9:15Gospel in the Acts, both in his Gospel and in the Acts. He
- 9:20proves his exact knowledge of Greco Roman affairs and beginning and begins his Gospel with
- 9:28a reference to his diligence in verifying the facts. He narrates he would not
- 9:35at once proceed to make serious and easily avoidable errors. The census did not
- 9:39necessarily take place simultaneously in all parts and the district census. Saint Luke mentions
- 9:46in Gospel two five one, I guess what they're saying. In his Gospel
- 9:52Chapter two oh, verse one. That's what their symbols mean. I think
- 9:56I could easily refer to as a preliminary census according to Jewish customs. His
- 10:01very expression in those days suggests a lawn drawn out. The person replies,
- 10:07at least Saint Luke says, it's Cyrenius, governor Syria, published the decree
- 10:13of the enrollment, but Quintilius Varus was governor at the time of Christ's birth.
- 10:20They reply, the English version has the words this enrolling was first made
- 10:24by Sirenius, the governor of Syria, but a bear translation of the Greek
- 10:28would be the first enrolling was made by Sirenius. The procurator or quaesitter.
- 10:35I don't even know that word qua e s t o r of Syria.
- 10:39Saint Luke knew of two distinct enrollments under Sirenius, the first of when he
- 10:46was procurator under Verus, which he mentions of the second Chapter of the Gospel,
- 10:54the second under Sirenius as governor and enrolling, which he mentions in the
- 10:58Acts. It is not mere high hypothesis that Serenius twice exercised authority in Syria,
- 11:03the first time under Verus and the second time in charge. It is
- 11:07the conclusion of the studies of Momson m se N. I suppose that was
- 11:16a historian, and also have zumped another historian after his study of inscriptions dealing
- 11:22with the matter of Ti Voley outside of run. So, as far as
- 11:28I'm concerned, all that's just minutia. If someone questions me in such details
- 11:31on the historical points of the Bible, I know of actual several Catholic historians,
- 11:39I would just refer them to and say this does this conversation doesn't interest
- 11:43me. I'm interested in the message of the Bible, not minution and bureaucratic
- 11:50details of who ruled what province. At what time. Now that's your thing,
- 11:54Hey, go for it. And the priests in Radar Applies give you
- 11:58plenty of ammo. Philip at miss O'Day, I believe has degrees in history,
- 12:03and he's really good on such as set me. I just plain don't
- 12:07have the patience for it. I enjoy history. I was never a dates
- 12:13and places person. You know how when you're testing school, you're supposed to
- 12:18say, on what date did Napoleon and you begin to try and invade Russia
- 12:24or something, right, and you got to write down the date, the
- 12:26day and the year and all that. I'm like, sometime during his reign
- 12:31and whenever he felt like it. Okay, not my thing. I am
- 12:35not a specifics guy when it comes to history. What matters to me is
- 12:41not is what happened what happened, not the exact day and time it happened,
- 12:46or who said what or whatever. It's just not the way I'm wired.
- 12:50I mean, honestly, Shoot, if you've read my cookbook you probably
- 12:54figured that out. I don't write detailed recipes. I'm like, adjust to
- 12:58your taste, to your taste, adjust to the quantity you're making. You
- 13:03know. I'm just not a detailed guy. I'm an overall big picture kind
- 13:07of guy, not a being counter. You know, when I was in
- 13:13college, my field of study was economics. Well, you may ask,
- 13:18how did you study economics when you're dyslexic and have trouble doing basic math.
- 13:22That's very true. I'm dyslexic and I can't keep my numbers straight. I
- 13:28mix them all up. I mean, it's a nightmare just trying to fill
- 13:31out my taxes. But yeah, I studied economics because I understood the principles
- 13:37and became a really good economist. I actually did some contract work for several
- 13:41politicians and such. I could predict what was going to happen in the economy
- 13:46six months or a year out based on trends and you know, history and
- 13:50overarching patterns. But you asked me to do microeconomics, not macroeconomics. Macro
- 13:58ecnomics thing microeconomics are accounting. You'd probably be better off getting your Doberman retriever
- 14:05to do your taxes. I mean, I kept seriously, it's just a
- 14:09nightmare for me to do really anything beyond basic addition, subtraction. And even
- 14:16then I have to count, I mean, I have to double check and
- 14:18triple check and concentrate really hard because I invert numbers. And you may ask,
- 14:24you've written twelve books, how the heck did you do that? And
- 14:28I'll tell you through a miracles, through the grace of God, who gave
- 14:31me the ability to write. And if I, I mean, yeah,
- 14:37I invert letters, I'm dyslexic. But somehow he made it so I can
- 14:43write and usually get things ninety nine percent right, and then spell check or
- 14:50a proofread or will catch my little mistakes usually. But essentially, when I
- 14:56read, my brain guesses it words. I don't read words a letter at
- 15:01a time. I read words by recognition. So if it's anything longer than
- 15:07five letters, somehow my brain guesses at the word. And you know,
- 15:13I mean, I just read to you from a book and I didn't get
- 15:16things that wrong. It's not bad for dyslexic. I consider that a miracle.
- 15:20Now, let's see what Father Spiago has to tell us today under the
- 15:24topic God requires of us that we should make an outward profession of our faith.
- 15:31Christ says, so let your light shine before men, that they may
- 15:33see your good works and glorify your Father, who is in heaven. We
- 15:39are bound in our words and actions to let men know that we are Christians
- 15:43and Catholics. It is by the open profession of our faith that we help
- 15:48others, as we see from the above words of our Lord, to know
- 15:54God better and to honor Him more. We also thereby lead them to imitate
- 15:58our good deeds. For men are like sheep, which, though lazy in
- 16:02themselves and unwilling to move, and actually sheep can be a little bit difficult,
- 16:07will follow where one of them leads the way. Sheep are so docile,
- 16:12and compared to goats, I grew up with goats. Goats are like
- 16:17dogs with hoofs. They're playful, they're mischievous, they're stubborn as can be.
- 16:22Sheep are like the opposite. They're just like docile, and they kind
- 16:27of go where somebody leads. But they're both herd animals, and when one
- 16:30goes, they all go, so it's you know, they're very interesting animals.
- 16:36Actually I enjoy I enjoyed raising goats a lot when I was a kid,
- 16:40used to play with them all the time. I studied kung fu when
- 16:42I was a kid. So when the billy goats would start to try to
- 16:45butch you and ram you. You know, when they get to a certain
- 16:48age, I would use my blocking skills and like send them flying across the
- 16:53pasture and they get mad and shake their head and charge at me. And
- 16:56it was just like a game. I'd be out there trying to feed them
- 17:00and you know, get the dozen from milking or whatever, and you know,
- 17:04yeah, there'll be four or five little billy goats just like running at
- 17:07me like a like a a linebacker in a football game. And I mean
- 17:15just I'd redirect them and send them flying or flip them over or you know,
- 17:19it was fun. I enjoy goats quite a bit. And you know,
- 17:25people have odd prejudices about goats. A billy goa, once he's full
- 17:29grind, will become very protective of you. He will consider himself he's like
- 17:33a guard dog. His job is to protect the herd. And he'll come
- 17:37and rub up against you as he walks past, and wants you to rub
- 17:41his head and his back and everything, and that that got will be as
- 17:44protective of you as a as a dog in their own odd, irrational stubborn
- 17:51ways. And goats are incredibly irrational and stubborn, and they love to climb
- 17:56on things and they're just really you, I don't know. They're almost like
- 18:00kids in a way. I guess maybe that's why they call young baby oats
- 18:04kids. You can either get annoyed with them or you can laugh at their
- 18:08antics. They're not gonna listen to you, and they're not gonna do what
- 18:11you tell them to whatsoever you have to induce them with food or just you
- 18:17know, herd them. But yeah, they're actually a whole lot of fun.
- 18:22And I hope very soon to get settled and have a few milk goats
- 18:26at the very least. I love goat cheese, especially chev or Bursanne cheese,
- 18:33which is a spice chev Feta Feta is a goat cheese and it's I
- 18:37mean, that's one of my probably top five cheeses. That is nothing but
- 18:41a goat cheese brined and saltwater and it's fantastic. Chev which is the fresh
- 18:47goat cheese, is so good. It's sour. It has almost like a
- 18:49sour cream type taste to it, with like a marscapone cheese, creamy texture
- 18:56in an almond with some fresh herbs, maybe a couple of mushrooms, some
- 19:00ham my, gosh, that's good stuff. I mean, it is so
- 19:04worth putting up with annoying, stubborn goats just to have that incredible cheese.
- 19:11And you can make an excellent like crim fresh sort of a thin sour cream
- 19:15out of it. You know, Goat milk's good too, but you know
- 19:18it's not as good as cow milk when it comes to cheese. You know,
- 19:22yeah, the milks are I mean, goat milk cheese, sheep milk
- 19:26cheese. They're so different than cow milk cheese. And I mean, I
- 19:30would not want to say one was better than the other because they're all just
- 19:33so very good. I mean, I mean, I'll take some Peccorina romano,
- 19:41and I'll take some Bursanne, I'll take some good up. Yeah,
- 19:44I mean, I love cheese. I love cheese. But anyway, oh,
- 19:48let that be a tribute to my good friend Alyssa in Italy who comes
- 19:52from a cheese making family. Please remember, pray for Alyssa. She's going
- 19:56through legal battles right now. She's actually fighting the mob for control of her
- 20:02family company, So pray for a Listen, anyway, let's just get back
- 20:06to this, all right. So he said that she will follow where one
- 20:11leads them. The open profession of our faith also strengthen us, strengthens us
- 20:15in all that is good, for practice makes perfect unhappily. Men are often
- 20:21too often cowards for fear of being laughed at by those around them, or
- 20:25through dread of suffering some injury in their business or some disadvantage in worldly affairs
- 20:30or interests. They have not the courage openly to profess their faith or defend
- 20:34their religion when it is attacked. They laugh at indeed, or they laugh
- 20:41at indecent or profane stories, join in immodest conversations, or talk against the
- 20:48church and priests and religious and eat meat on Fridays in order to escape the
- 20:52jests of their companions, and miss Mass on Sunday without excuse. They forget
- 20:59that those who at them out of doing what it's right only despise them in
- 21:02their hearts, and would respect and honor them if they should firm. They
- 21:07forget too, that at the day of judgment, the tables would be churned,
- 21:11and that those who now mock at them will be full of terror and
- 21:14shame, and those who have been loyal to their religion will be objects of
- 21:18envy and admiration of their persecutors who will bitterly omit the folly of their wickedness.
- 21:25And on that note, I actually have wonderful news today. North Carolina
- 21:30has two Catholic congressmen. The first is Virginia Fox. She's the congresswoman from
- 21:40where I live, and a wonderful nice woman who has voted horribly over the
- 21:47past couple of years and is very elderly and hopefully shore retire sin. Wonderful
- 21:52nice woman, but she's been really let astray recently and has become essentially a
- 21:59Democrat Ryan a Republican name only. The other is from the next district over
- 22:04from me. His name is Patrick McHenry. Patrick McHenry went to Belmont and
- 22:10Belmont Abbey, and he is an absolute scumbag. He is thoroughly corrupt,
- 22:18utterly immoral, and an absolute embarrassment to North Carolina. Not only that,
- 22:22but in his district people have told me. I haven't seen it myself.
- 22:27He will go to Lutheran churches and pretend to be Lutheran. He will go
- 22:33to any church, Presbyterian, Baptist, and did basically deny his Catholicism.
- 22:40That's what I've been told. I don't know, you know, I know
- 22:42he has a couple of male roommates in a very small apartment. I'm not
- 22:48gonna go way further than that. He not only votes like a Democrat and
- 22:52seems to be probably well. He was one of what the seven Republicans who
- 23:00voted against impeaching my orcis. He's Kevin McCarthy's roommate and tody. I think
- 23:11tody would be a wonderful term for him. He seems to be willing to
- 23:19violate any tenet of his religion, all morality, and any laws that allow
- 23:27him to gain power and stay in office. And he's about four feet tall,
- 23:33Napoleonic complex, and a complete utter piece of human garbage in my opinion,
- 23:44well just my opinion, my opinion. Only never met him personally,
- 23:48you know, I spoke to him one time in passing, actually in the
- 23:52men's room. We stood beside each other journals as we washed our hands and
- 23:56said hello. He said hello. That was we ever got. He announced
- 24:04today he is retiring. It seems Steve Bannon and the War room really went
- 24:12after him for his horrible votes, his horrible, rhino, disgusting liberal democrat
- 24:22posing as a Republican fake. I should not I'm not going to say he's
- 24:30not. I'm not going to say he doesn't believe in the Catholic Church and
- 24:36its teachings. And maybe he goes to Mass sometimes and his conscious is his
- 24:40business. But you want to talk about someone who, from all I've been
- 24:45told, is willing to compromise anything, even to pretend to be Protestant for
- 24:53position and power. He's the poster child. I think we could put Kevin
- 25:00McCarthy in that same category, really, really, really really. I mean,
- 25:08if we have a representative government, what does that say about us?
- 25:12If they actually represent us bad? They're named bad, They're just pathetic.
- 25:18They're just waste of carbon. They're waste of carbon. I'll put it that
- 25:23way. God willing, they'll have some kind of conversion at some point.
- 25:30But McHenry is not going to run for office again, and good riddits to
- 25:34bad rubbish. And I don't think I you know, I don't have I
- 25:41would literally rather see an honest liberal Democrat hold that seat than a lying,
- 25:48worthless, cheating, pathetic Republican in name only, because when someone calls themselves
- 25:56republican, you know people vote straight party tickets. I mean, I'm seening
- 26:02a million times you go to meetings. This guy will be as corrupt and
- 26:04pathetic as possible when everybody over the age of seventy five is going to vote
- 26:07for him, you know, because oh, you know, they like the
- 26:11young man that speaks well, doesn't matter what his record is. And you
- 26:15say, wait a minute, this guy votes like a Democrat to be Oh,
- 26:18don't talk bad about him. Oh it's so awful you'd speak so bad
- 26:22about our great Republican representative. I mean, I said, look, you
- 26:25know, I mean, I don't know anything about McHenry. I'm not saying
- 26:27this, but you know, you could walk in and say, look,
- 26:30this guy's having affairs. You could walk in and say this guy's embezzling.
- 26:33You could walk in and say, this guy just you know, I don't
- 26:37know, stole Kenny from a baby. Oh how but here you talk so
- 26:41bad about our Republican representative. Well, you know that's the way old folks
- 26:45in the Republican Party tend to be. The country club folks don't talk bad
- 26:49about anybody, don't say anything offensive. Once a Republican gets elected the first
- 26:53time, they're basically in there for life. Look at Lindsay Graham, look
- 26:56at the pathetic jackass Lindsay Graham. I mean, the powerful of incumbency is
- 27:06really something. And just think of Patrick McHenry as Lindsay Lindsey Graham's mini me.
- 27:14He's like a little tiny mirror image of the remarkably unmasculine Lindsey Graham.
- 27:23And he's out. Thank God, he's out. Chalk one up for Steve
- 27:29Bannon and the good guys. Thank god. This is a day to celebrate.
- 27:37And hopefully Virginia Fox will retire very soon so I don't have to go
- 27:40walk the district and knock on doors campaigning for anyone who will run against her.
- 27:47A very nice lady who's been in office far too long. Ah,
- 27:52And I would tell her, you know, sometimes I see her mass next
- 27:56time I got a chance, I would definitely ask her. I will definitely
- 27:59ask her if I happen to be in the pew next to her in front
- 28:03behind. Please retire. You're far too old to continue to hold the office.
- 28:08Don't embarrass us any further. Sorry. But she's also one that voted
- 28:14against impeaching my orchis. She's been in there far too long, all right.
- 28:21So among the splendid instances of those who are faithful to their religion and
- 28:25fearlessly made confession of their faith. Were the three young men who refused to
- 28:30adore the golden image set up by Nebo. Oh gosh, how is that
- 28:36you're supposed to actually pronounce this name? Let me do it fanatically, Nabo
- 28:42Chad donassor, which isn't pronounced that way. I've heard it pronounce a thousand
- 28:48times, but I'm not going to get it today. And the holy Tobias
- 28:52alone, who alone all of his kindred, refused to go the golden calfs
- 29:00at Dan and Bethel, and went up every year the Temple of Jerusalem in
- 29:03Jerusalem, Eliezer, who preferred death to even appearing to eat Sline's flesh.
- 29:11One of the wonderful stories of the Book of Maccabee's. Wonderful time of year
- 29:15to read Maccabees. I mean, this is why Hanuka is celebrated. Very
- 29:19very good to remember the great heroes of the Jewish faith that you know through
- 29:25whom we get our Christian faith. Saint Ignatius, the Martyr of the Martyr,
- 29:30Saint Agnes, Saint Lucy, Saint Marris, and the Theban religion of
- 29:34Theban Legion sorry, and countless other Christian martyrs, martyrs and confessors. It
- 29:41is by way of an open profession of her faith that the Holy Church has
- 29:45instituted processions like those of Corpus Christi, processions of our Lady, et cetera.
- 29:51We are only bound openly to confess our faith when our mission to do
- 29:55so would bring our religion into contempt or do some injury to neighbor or to
- 30:00when or when we are in some way challenge to declare and make a profession
- 30:03of our religion. We are not bound always on all occasions to confess our
- 30:08faith, but only when the honor due to God or the edification due to
- 30:12our neighbor requires it. If officious people question us about our faith, we
- 30:18are not bound to answer them. We can refuse to answer or turn away.
- 30:22So that's like you know, when the Nazis are knocking at your door
- 30:23and saying, are they're a Catholics in the house? Are you Catholic?
- 30:26You know the Soviets, you who were really big on killing everybody who was
- 30:32Christian? Did Communists Chinese who do the same thing. Well, some it
- 30:38seems like parts of the FBI in our time seem to want to persecute Christians
- 30:44for praying the Rosary outside of an abortion clinic or something. You don't actually
- 30:47have to tell them you're Catholic. It's not because it's none of their business.
- 30:52But if there was someone else around, and by doing so you would
- 30:56prove a bad example, you would absolutely be obligated to say, yes,
- 31:00I'm Catholic, this is what I believe, and I'm willing to face punishment
- 31:03for it. It's situational. It depends on the situation. It's not like
- 31:10you know, I will being a politician, a congressman in western North Carolina
- 31:15and pretending to be Lutheran and a Lutheran church and even taking communion with him,
- 31:18which is what someone told me about a certain midget who's just retired from
- 31:22Congress or said he wouldn't run again. Thank god, I love it.
- 31:29I love it. Oh my gosh, I love it. I'm very grateful.
- 31:37If only McCarthy will leave next. And what was that guy, ken
- 31:41Buck? Somebody needs to kick his butt out of there figuratively, not literally.
- 31:48I think you got that. But if we are questioned by someone who
- 31:52possesses legitimate authority to do so, we are bound to confess our faith,
- 31:56even when it should cost us our lives, as our Lord did when questioned
- 32:00before Caiaphas, and as thousands of early Christians did when called upon to sacrifice
- 32:07to idols. In such cases, the word of our Lord's apply. Fear
- 32:10not them that kill the body and are not able to kill the soul.
- 32:15To fear man more than God is to bring on us his anger. We
- 32:19should also try and avoid all wrangling, discussions and controversies about religion, which
- 32:24generally do harm and embitter men against the truth. Very true, you know,
- 32:29I say I don't always engage with Protestants. I don't pick I mean,
- 32:32I never criticize their faith. Only when they say something anti Catholic.
- 32:37Will I defend mine, because it just sow's division. I don't attack other
- 32:43people at all. Our faith is so holy a thing that it must be
- 32:47spoken of with great discretion and prudence. And I guess i'll wrap it up
- 32:52there. We'll get into part two of this tomorrow. They're about equally long,
- 32:58you know. And I did have quite a sides. Had to celebrate
- 33:00a little bit that the I had to celebrate a little bit that the rhino
- 33:07dwarf for shall we call him a Republican name only. I would probably be
- 33:13mean to say Catholican name only. I can't read the boy's heart, you
- 33:19know, at six' four and him at like, you know, four
- 33:22foot two, I can't even really, I wouldn't even be able to read
- 33:25it from the distance. You know. I'm just saying he is such a
- 33:30little jackass. I'm so glad he's retiring. Oh now, if we can
- 33:35just get a legitimate maga Republican in his office that will actually do something for
- 33:42the people rather than for the donors, it will be a godsend. North
- 33:49Carolina has historically had some of the worst, most corrupt politics in the entire
- 33:53United States, and I should say some people on the republic side learned to
- 34:00be justice corrupted is on the Democrat side, and once then you couldn't get
- 34:06him out with a crowbar. So it is actually a very good day.
- 34:09So you know what, I'm going to wrap it up here, And what
- 34:14a more appropriate time to say, in the words of Saint Padre Pio,
- 34:17pray, hope and don't worry. God is in his heavens and all is
- 34:22right with the world. Y'all have a go win and I'll talk to you tomorrow,
