- 0:01Luke chapter 21, let us pray. Heavenly Father, we thank you.
- 0:08Lord Jesus, we thank you, God Almighty for another day.
- 0:12Holy Spirit, come and wreck us with your love.
- 0:16Holy Spirit, come and teach us. Holy Spirit, you be our guide
- 0:20through this word, through the text on the page today.
- 0:24God, I pray for heaven to come to earth.
- 0:27Lord, I pray for your will to be done.
- 0:30God, I pray for your daily bread today.
- 0:33Father, let us feast upon the word.
- 0:36God, I pray in the name of Jesus that you will help us, God, to
- 0:40digest these words, Lord, and let them become part of our DNA.
- 0:45Let them become part of our worldview.
- 0:48Let them become part of us. Lord, I pray that as we open up
- 0:52your scriptures, Lord, that your scriptures will jump into our
- 0:56hearts, jump into our minds. Let us hide it in our hearts.
- 1:00Hearts. God, I pray that we will not sin
- 1:02against you. Father, I pray in the name of
- 1:04Jesus for power from on high. I pray that you will help us to
- 1:09understand all of the scriptures, Lord, and the
- 1:11prophecies contained in this good book.
- 1:15Father, Lord, where you are is where we want to be.
- 1:18Lord, come help us. Yes, Lord, we love you.
- 1:22We love everything about you. Heal our broken bodies.
- 1:25God, restore marriages, restore broken relationships.
- 1:30God, bring the prodigals home. Father, give us a sound mind.
- 1:34God, I pray against distraction. Lord, I pray against delusion.
- 1:39God, I pray in the name of Jesus that we will be found taking the
- 1:43whole word to the whole world. God sold out completely to you,
- 1:47the King of kings. Lord, I pray the name of Jesus
- 1:50that we will not shrink back. Lord, I pray that you will get
- 1:54all the glory and the honor and the power, Lord.
- 1:58And it is your Kingdom, Lord. We're praying for it to come,
- 2:01Lord, just as it is there in heaven.
- 2:03Lord, let it come here to earth. Lord, we await the day that King
- 2:08Jesus sits on his rightful throne in Jerusalem, Father,
- 2:13ruling and reigning. Lord, we look forward and we
- 2:16press towards that day. Lord, it's all about you.
- 2:20It's always been about you and God.
- 2:22We get out of the way. You come, You have first
- 2:26priority, you have center stage. It is your words being showered
- 2:32over the globe. God, it is by your breath that
- 2:35everything is sustained. It is for you and by you and to
- 2:39you God. And so, Lord, we say yes and
- 2:42Amen to all the promises contained in this book.
- 2:45We love you Father, and it's in Jesus Christ, holy precious name
- 2:50that I pray. Amen.
- 2:53Let's start in verse one. And he looked up and saw the
- 2:59rich men casting their gifts into the treasury.
- 3:04You know, Jesus notices everything even today and this
- 3:08day and this hour. Jesus notices everything.
- 3:12And He knows when you give out of the abundance, and he knows
- 3:18when he gives, whenever you give all that you have to live on.
- 3:24Gee, there's nothing that is missed upon Jesus.
- 3:27He sees it all. Friends.
- 3:29Verse 2. And he saw also a certain poor
- 3:33widow casting in her two mites. So here he sees that she's
- 3:40giving out of all that she had, and not out of the abundance,
- 3:48even though they gave more, it was it's never about the
- 3:52portion, it's about the proportion, and it's about the
- 3:55proportion to the amount that you have to live on.
- 3:59And she had so much faith that she was giving all that she had
- 4:04three. And he said, Of a truth I say
- 4:07unto you, that this poor widow has cast in more than they all,
- 4:12for. For all these have of their
- 4:16abundance cast in unto the offerings of God.
- 4:20But she of her penury has cast in all the living that she had.
- 4:27So we're still talking about this poor widow.
- 4:32And you know all the rich men of this time, they are not seen in
- 4:39a very bright light. And he says it's easier for the
- 4:43camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to
- 4:47make it into heaven. And you can see why for the rich
- 4:51man, they have no need for God. Their faith is diminished and
- 4:56decreased. And you see that it is the poor
- 5:01who have to have the childlike faith to believe that their very
- 5:04next meal is going to be provided for, and they increase
- 5:10their faith. And that is what pleases God.
- 5:12It's impossible to please God without faith, friends.
- 5:16And here this widow in her mites, her 2 little mites was
- 5:22enough to catch Jesus's glance, and he looked upon her and used
- 5:30her as an object lesson for his disciples.
- 5:34So that it wasn't about the amount being given, it was about
- 5:38the heart behind and the trust behind and the faith behind the
- 5:42giving. And it's no different in our day
- 5:44and our our friends. We need to make sure that we are
- 5:48giving all, not just some, but giving all to the Lord and
- 5:55allowing Him to distribute it. That is the way of the Lord.
- 5:59Don't worry about tomorrow. Let tomorrow worry about itself.
- 6:05Live in the reality that Jesus is in full control of everything
- 6:13all around you, even your very next breath.
- 6:16What does it profit you to gain the whole world and to lose your
- 6:20soul? Then you know you don't have to
- 6:22have money to be obsessed by money.
- 6:25You don't have to have money to love money.
- 6:29And he says if you love money, you will hate God.
- 6:32And it is just that simple. Friends, it's not very hard to
- 6:37sit and to meditate upon these words and to understand the
- 6:41heart of God whenever you have of an abundance.
- 6:44And you think I will just build another barn.
- 6:47And he says, you fool, for this very night your life will be
- 6:52demanded from you. And what does it profit you?
- 6:57It profits nothing. And so therefore you need to
- 7:01know that our walk with the Lord is a day-to-day moment by moment
- 7:08walk where we trust the Lord for everything and He tells us with
- 7:14food and clothing be content that we need to increase the
- 7:18contentment that we have friends which will spring joy out of.
- 7:24And this little widow understood that five.
- 7:27And as some spoke of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly
- 7:33stones and gifts, he said, 6 As for these things which you
- 7:38behold, the days will come in which there shall not be left
- 7:42one stone upon another that shall not be thrown down.
- 7:46So here we're going to go into the Olivet discourse, and here
- 7:50he's predicting AD 70. Here he is predicting whenever
- 7:54the temple will be destroyed. He's already told them about the
- 7:58city being besieged and now he's telling them that their temple
- 8:03will be thrown down to the ground.
- 8:05Don't marvel at Herod's augmented temple.
- 8:10Don't marvel at the temple that the second temple that was built
- 8:18by Ezra and Nehemiah here. He's telling them that it will
- 8:23be destroyed by the Romans and sacked by them.
- 8:27Seven. And they asked him, saying,
- 8:31Master, but when shall these things be?
- 8:36And what signs will there be when these things shall come to
- 8:41pass? So the disciples, they wanted to
- 8:43know the truth, the black and white, the plain news about it
- 8:49all, and Jesus is going to give them so much tapestry and it
- 8:56would do us well to lock in and to pay attention and to try and
- 9:01to decipher all the words of Christ.
- 9:05This is one of the most prophetic passages that Jesus
- 9:11ever talked about, and he's going to tell us and it's all
- 9:16going to match up. When you go and read Revelation
- 9:196, all of these events, they match up beautifully with what
- 9:24he talks about, what he gave John in Revelation 6.
- 9:29Let's keep going. 8 And he said, Take heed that you be not
- 9:36deceived, for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ,
- 9:42and the time draws near you, not therefore after them.
- 9:46He's already told us a couple times, don't go to the inner
- 9:50rooms, don't go to the places when they say He is here because
- 9:54he tells us that the whole world will see his coming back just as
- 9:58lightning as parent from the east.
- 10:01And we know that it cannot be hidden when Christ comes back.
- 10:06Don't believe them. This is where a lot of cults
- 10:10rise up. People start date setting.
- 10:12People start trying to tell others that they have a corner
- 10:16on Christ's return. And there's been so many people
- 10:19LED astray, so many people LED off into the to their dismay and
- 10:25their death and their plundering of their goods because they
- 10:29believed these false Christs that came about.
- 10:33And we would do well to safeguard ourselves.
- 10:37Never go with anybody who tries to date set.
- 10:40Never go with anybody who claims to be Christ.
- 10:43The whole world will know that he is here.
- 10:46Don't forget it, friends, do not be deceived. 9 But when you
- 10:53shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified,
- 10:58for these things must first come to pass.
- 11:01But the end is not by and by. There will be an increase of all
- 11:08of these events right before Jesus comes back.
- 11:13He tells us in the seven-year tribulation that it'll be worse
- 11:17than it's ever been since the beginning of time, and if God
- 11:20had not cut those days short, no one would survive.
- 11:24The persecution will be so rampant it'll be unlike anything
- 11:28this world has ever known because the beast system is in
- 11:33place and there is a an ability to persecute in ways that this
- 11:40world has never known during that time.
- 11:42You can see it all shaping up today, and that's not fear
- 11:46mongering. We should look up and see that
- 11:48our redemption is drawing near. We should be able to see the
- 11:51leaves appearing on the fig tree, Friends, and know that
- 11:54summer is near. And so it will be with the
- 11:57coming of the Son of Man, Friends 10 Then he said unto
- 12:06them, nation will rise against nation, and Kingdom against
- 12:11Kingdom. It's not hard to see today.
- 12:17It's not hard to see how all of these things are shaping up.
- 12:22And the reality is, and no scholar can debate that we're
- 12:27closer today than we were yesterday.
- 12:30Praise God. Hallelujah, no matter where you
- 12:34fall in the eschatology of scripture, we're closer today
- 12:39than we were yesterday. 11 And great earthquake shall be in
- 12:44diverse places, and famines, pestilences, fearful sights, and
- 12:49great signs shall there be from heaven.
- 12:53And we should be very balanced. Blessed is the balanced.
- 12:59We cannot fall off the Cliff here where we get so preoccupied
- 13:04with one facet of scripture that we forget to lock in with the
- 13:09practical, with the day-to-day. We can't be so incredibly
- 13:14futuristic that we forget about all the needs of today.
- 13:20There are many people right now who desperately need to hear the
- 13:24good news of Jesus Christ and what He did for you and how He
- 13:28saved your life. And that is what we're called to
- 13:31scatter the seed, friends, knowing that most of it's going
- 13:35to fall on unfruitful soil. But praise God, Hallelujah, when
- 13:39one person gets the blinders taken off, when one person gets
- 13:44their ears unstopped, and they get to see Jesus in all his
- 13:48glory, glory, glory in the highest. 12 But before all
- 13:56these, they shall lay their hands on you, persecute you,
- 14:01delivering you up to the synagogues and into prisons,
- 14:05being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake.
- 14:09So we're going to see persecution increase, not
- 14:13decrease. We're going to see the church
- 14:15being persecuted on a global scale and it will culminate in
- 14:20the seven-year tribulation. It'll be unlike anything this
- 14:24world has ever seen. 13 And it shall turn to you for a
- 14:30testimony. So he's telling us, do not be
- 14:33afraid. And there will be many who give
- 14:35their life to the Lord Jesus Christ during the seven-year
- 14:39tribulation, but it will be much harder for them.
- 14:43They're going to have to suffer in ways.
- 14:47But you can see that it's such a zeal for the Father's house that
- 14:52it is counted. All is joy.
- 14:54It's not a fearful thing. And He's telling us here, do not
- 14:58be afraid. If you are one of the ones who
- 15:00are left behind and you give your life to Him during that
- 15:04time, it will be such a zeal for the Father's house that death
- 15:10will be nothing. It will be counted as joy,
- 15:13friends, and it will be a testimony unto all of the wicked
- 15:18perverse rulers. 14 Settle it, therefore, in your hearts not to
- 15:26meditate before what you shall answer.
- 15:29He's saying the Holy Spirit is going to give you all the
- 15:32answers that we can. Rest assured that the Holy
- 15:36Spirit is going to speak for us, and He's going to tell the
- 15:43wicked rulers all the things that God wants to say to them.
- 15:51And just like Agrippa, it will be either to their dismay or for
- 15:58their benefit. 15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom,
- 16:05which all your adversaries shall not be able to gain, say, nor
- 16:10resist. So imagine that God is going to
- 16:14be speaking through the ones being persecuted. 16 and you
- 16:21shall be betrayed both by parents and brothers and
- 16:24kinsfolks and friends, and some of you shall they cause to be
- 16:28put to death. So we know that even within the
- 16:32four walls of our homes there will be, and you can already see
- 16:36it with children being disobedient to their parents.
- 16:40You can already see it in distant lands when people become
- 16:44Christians and that is not their family's heritage.
- 16:47You can see it, friends, all shaping up with the propagation
- 16:52of the gospel worldwide through the technology, friends.
- 16:56You can see people making a love decision for Jesus Christ that's
- 17:00causing them to be ostracized from their families.
- 17:04You can see how wayward prodigal children within the four walls
- 17:08of your home are ridiculing you as a parent for the faith that
- 17:12you possess. You can see it all shaping up
- 17:15right here, friends 17 and you shall be hated of all men for my
- 17:22name's sake. There's going to be coming a
- 17:24time and a day Whenever you call yourself a Christian, you put a
- 17:30crosshair on your back and people will push you into a
- 17:36camp. That is at the very outset.
- 17:42It is persecution subtly, and then as time progresses, that
- 17:49very mark that you possess as being a Christian is going to
- 17:54cost you your very life. 18 But there shall not a hair of your
- 18:01head perish, for to God no one ever really dies. 19 And your
- 18:06patience possess you, your souls.
- 18:09So he says, do not fear the one that can take your life away,
- 18:12but fear the one that can take your life and your soul away.
- 18:16And we know that the only one we need to fear is God, and
- 18:20everything else bows. And he might call you to spill
- 18:24your life out. But just remember that the blood
- 18:27of the martyr is the seed of the gospel, and you, by laying down
- 18:31your life, could be the very thing that many souls enter into
- 18:35eternity because of the witness that you have for him.
- 18:39That is what the martyr means is witness.
- 18:42Friends 20 And when you shall see Jerusalem compassed with
- 18:49armies, then know that the desolation thereof is near.
- 18:53So here this is a twofold prophecy. 1 of course, is when
- 18:578070, whenever the Romans came and he's telling them that they
- 19:01are going to be destroyed here, he's telling them that not one
- 19:06stone is going to be on top of the other.
- 19:08But it's also futuristic for us. It's prophetic for us knowing
- 19:13that Jerusalem is center stage on the world map, friends.
- 19:19All the nations are hyper fixated upon this little nation
- 19:24that is the size of Israel and it's still mainstream political
- 19:28news right now and this day and this hour, friends, and it will
- 19:32be that way until the end of time.
- 19:35Everything is hinged upon Jerusalem, the city of peace.
- 19:38This is where Jesus Christ is going to return to.
- 19:41And we can see that it's all culminating exactly the way that
- 19:47scriptures tell us that it is. 21 Then let them which are in
- 19:51Judea flee to the mountains, and let them which are in the midst
- 19:55of it depart out, and let not them that are in the countries
- 20:00enter there into. So he's telling them to get out
- 20:03of that place. He's telling them that when you
- 20:07see it being besieged, to go into safety. 22 For these be the
- 20:14days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be
- 20:18fulfilled. So we believe that Jerusalem is
- 20:24the. Center the navel of the whole
- 20:27world. We believe that all the wicked
- 20:29armies are going to be amassed against it right before Jesus
- 20:34overthrows it at the Battle of Armageddon.
- 20:36And we can see that being mirrored back whenever Babylon
- 20:41came against it. We can see that being mirrored
- 20:44whenever Rome came against it. But the final battle, friends,
- 20:49will be the Battle of Armageddon.
- 20:52And then we know that Jesus takes his rightful place for the
- 20:56thousand year reign. But then there's an interesting
- 21:00we'll get to it in Revelation, but there's an interesting
- 21:03passage where it says that Satan is released for a short time.
- 21:09And again we see another battle at the end before New Jerusalem,
- 21:15before we're with him forever. 23 But woe unto them that are
- 21:22with child, and to them that give suck in those days, for
- 21:26there shall be great distress in the land and wrath upon this
- 21:29people. So we know that it's going to be
- 21:32this tribulation that causes the Jews to see that Jesus Christ is
- 21:40the Messiah. That's the whole purpose,
- 21:45friends, the whole purpose of the seven-year tribulation is
- 21:50for the Jews to come into the fold.
- 21:52Don't miss it. 24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword,
- 21:56and shall be LED away captive into all nations, and Jerusalem
- 22:01shall be trodden down to the Gentiles until the time of the
- 22:05Gentiles be fulfilled. So we know that the Antichrist,
- 22:09when he arrives onto the scene, we know that he is going to make
- 22:13a 3 1/2 year peaceful truce with Jerusalem.
- 22:18We know that the Antichrist is going to demand to be worshipped
- 22:22in the temple. We know that it is going to be
- 22:25worse than it's ever been. We know that it is the
- 22:28abomination of desolation. We know that it is unlike
- 22:34anything that this world has ever known, but it's only for a
- 22:37short time, friends. And then Jesus comes back with
- 22:41all of the angels and the Saints. 25 And there shall be
- 22:46signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars, and upon
- 22:50the earth. Distress of nations, perplexity,
- 22:54the sea and the waves roaring, This is the return of the Lord
- 22:58and all of his glory, and even the foundations of the earth and
- 23:03the galaxies announce his return. 26 Men's hearts failing
- 23:09them for fear and for looking after those things which are
- 23:12coming on the earth, for the powers of heaven shall be
- 23:15shaken. People will be so fearful
- 23:18they'll be trying to hide from the face of Jesus Christ coming
- 23:22in all of his glory. 27 And then shall they see the Son of Man
- 23:26coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
- 23:29That's what he told them. Whenever they were about to put
- 23:36him on the cross, they told him that they would see this.
- 23:40They told He told them. He told the Sanhedrin.
- 23:44He told Caiaphas that he would see him coming on the clouds
- 23:49when he ripped his robe, and he cried out that he was
- 23:54blaspheming. And Jesus told him what he would
- 23:58see. And here you could see it all
- 24:01happening. And it's going to happen exactly
- 24:03the way that Jesus told him. And it's going to happen exactly
- 24:08the way that Jesus tells us all of the prophecies that have not
- 24:14been fulfilled is 110% going to be fulfilled to the letter,
- 24:22exactly the way that he tells us that they will.
- 24:25In the same way that Scripture has predicted in the past to the
- 24:30letter with pinpoint accuracy. All of the prophecies that have
- 24:36come true, friends. And we would do well to get in
- 24:40line with Scripture, to learn Scripture, to understand
- 24:43Scripture, to believe Scripture in the exact pinpoint accuracy
- 24:50that it tells us. 28 And when these things begin to come to
- 24:55pass, look up, lift up your heads, for your redemption draws
- 25:02near. Praise God, Hallelujah, our
- 25:05redemption is drawing near. We can see it, friends. 29 And
- 25:11he spoke to them a parable. Behold the fig tree and all the
- 25:15trees. 30 When they now shoot forth, you see and know of your
- 25:21own cells, that summer is now near at hand. 31 So likewise
- 25:26you, when you see these things come to pass, know you that the
- 25:30Kingdom of God is near at hand. 32 Truly I say unto you, this
- 25:36generation shall not pass away until all be fulfilled. 33
- 25:41Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not
- 25:44pass away. What an amazing passage here.
- 25:48We can meditate upon this. We can bank on this, circle it,
- 25:52underline it, highlight it, write it down.
- 25:55Friends, we know that as believers, we can see all of
- 25:59these things shaping up. We know that our redemption is
- 26:02near. It's right at the door.
- 26:04We know that Jesus's return is closer today than it was
- 26:07yesterday. We can see all the leaves
- 26:10appearing on the fig tree. We know this summer is near.
- 26:13We know that Jesus's return is near.
- 26:16And what does he tell us? He says that the Jewish nation
- 26:20will not pass away. There is no way they can be
- 26:23exterminated. There is no way that they can be
- 26:28annihilated. They will remain because they
- 26:33are God's chosen people. And don't forget it, friends.
- 26:37If we bless them, God will bless us.
- 26:41That's not an old timey religion saying that is biblical,
- 26:45friends. We can go and search in Genesis
- 26:50chapter 12 verse 3, and we can see that God promises to bless
- 26:55us when we bless that nation, Israel.
- 26:59And He's telling us that He's going to make a new heaven and a
- 27:03new earth and the second destruction is by fire.
- 27:07But these words will remain forever.
- 27:10They are resounding, they are reverberating, they are going
- 27:15out and they're calling many men to salvation.
- 27:18They will never pass away. And His Word is alive and active
- 27:24and sharper than any 2 edged sword, friends, and it is
- 27:29profitable. We need to add nothing to the
- 27:32Word of God and take nothing out of the Word of God.
- 27:36It is the infallible, inerrant word from Genesis to Revelation,
- 27:40friends, and it is our lifeline. 34 Take heed to yourselves, lest
- 27:49at any time your hearts be overcharged with suffering.
- 27:59He says in verse 34, take heed to yourselves, lest at any time
- 28:05your hearts be overcharged with suffioting and drunkenness and
- 28:13cares of this life. And so that day come upon you
- 28:18unaware. So what he's telling us here in
- 28:21this verse is that if we're not careful, we will be swept away
- 28:28in the torrent, in the flood of our own fleshly desires.
- 28:34The pride of life, friends, the lust of the eyes or the less of
- 28:39the flesh will get the best of us.
- 28:41Because we think that God's promises are a long way off and
- 28:46everything just keeps going as they always have.
- 28:49And we forget that 1000 years is like a day, a God, and a day is
- 28:56like 1000 years. And He's not being slow to bring
- 29:00about all of these promises. He's waiting for the final
- 29:04number. He knows who belongs to him.
- 29:08And he is waiting for those people to give their life over
- 29:12to him. And He makes it about his
- 29:14business to make sure that they all make it into the fold.
- 29:18Friends 35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell
- 29:25on the face of the whole earth. It's like a snare, it's like a
- 29:29trap. It's like a Fowler who sets a
- 29:33trap. It's like the circle is closing
- 29:40in and there is no escape. Friends And the only hope that
- 29:44we have is in the Lord Jesus Christ and the promises
- 29:49contained in this book. And we know that the church will
- 29:53be raptured before all of these things happen.
- 29:57And we know that it'll be worse than it's ever been since the
- 30:00beginning of time. We know that the seven years
- 30:04will be unlike anything that this world has ever experienced.
- 30:08And you can see all the atrocities in the past and you
- 30:11can magnify that, Friends. It'll be worse than anything
- 30:16that has happened on this globe. And it's not a place that we
- 30:20want to be. But there will be many in that
- 30:23time who give their lives over to the Lord Jesus Christ.
- 30:26And the Jewish nation will see that they've murdered their
- 30:29Messiah. And it's all for a reason.
- 30:33And Jesus has a good plan in it all, friends.
- 30:37And he's coming back. And when he comes back, he's
- 30:41going to sit as the rightful ruler and reign over this earth
- 30:48for 1000 years, and we will be with him forevermore. 36 watch
- 31:02you. Therefore, pray always that you
- 31:10may be accounted worthy to escape.
- 31:22All these things that shall come to pass and to stand before the
- 31:31Son of Man 36 is the verse that we really need to hyper fixate
- 31:39upon. This is our mandate, friends.
- 31:42You could go back and you could pick apart all of the previous
- 31:47part of this chapter. You could debate it until the
- 31:52cows come home and we could talk about eschatology.
- 31:55And we don't have to agree on it all, But this verse particularly
- 32:03is our mandate for today and for right now and for this hour.
- 32:08What does he tell you and what does he tell me?
- 32:12Watch, don't fall asleep. Don't get swept away in greed.
- 32:22Don't get swept away in the lust of the flesh.
- 32:26Don't get swept away in the pride of life.
- 32:30Don't get swept away in all of the pleasures and pleasantries
- 32:38and all of the entertainment of today.
- 32:44Don't get swept away with false doctrine, false theology, false
- 32:50teachers, apostate church that's propagating a lot of garbage out
- 32:55there. He tells us, do not be deceived.
- 33:01Watch. You know that summer is near.
- 33:06He tells us to watch. And then he tells us to pray
- 33:11always. This is the key, my friends.
- 33:15Listen up. Listen, we must increase our
- 33:21prayer life. Take every thought captive, make
- 33:25it obedient unto Christ. Don't worry about anything.
- 33:29Pray about everything. Rejoice always.
- 33:34Pray without ceasing 24/7 365. Do not decrease your prayer
- 33:44life. Increase your prayer life.
- 33:47And it is in that prayer life that you're going to receive so
- 33:51much instruction of what it is that you need to be doing for
- 33:56this very day, for this very hour.
- 33:59We need to not forsake the ministry of prayer.
- 34:03Friends, watch and pray. Always listen to this next part.
- 34:11It's so imperative that you may be accounted worthy to escape
- 34:21all these things that shall come to pass.
- 34:30How are we going to escape? These are not my words, friends,
- 34:34these are Holy Scripture. He said it.
- 34:39These are the words Jesus Christ do not get sidetracked with all
- 34:45the false teachings that are out there and that tries to tell you
- 34:50that this escapism is not from God.
- 34:56He says it right here and in Revelation chapter 3.
- 35:00He tells us that because we have kept His word, He will keep us
- 35:07from that hour that is coming to test all the inhabitants of the
- 35:12earth. And we can see it here, that if
- 35:14we are counted worthy, how are we to be counted worthy, you
- 35:17might ask? It's by getting in the boat,
- 35:22friends. It's by being covered in the
- 35:24blood of Jesus Christ. Friends, we cannot ride in on
- 35:28the coattails of Grandma's faith.
- 35:30We must have a personal relationship with God Almighty.
- 35:35Through His Son Jesus Christ, Noah was saved.
- 35:38Why? Because He walked with God, we
- 35:45must walk with our Father day-to-day, moment by moment,
- 35:502nd to 2nd, heartbeat to heartbeat.
- 35:55That is how we are counted worthy.
- 35:58It's by being covered in the blood of Jesus Christ.
- 36:03And that's how we will we will be able to stand before the Son
- 36:06of Man. His our redemption is drawing
- 36:10near. His rewards are with Him.
- 36:12And we will have to stand the judgment where all of our deeds
- 36:20are tested in the fire, and most things are burned up as wood,
- 36:23hay and stubble. And only a few things we get to
- 36:26keep with us. And those are the things that no
- 36:28one saw but only Him. And we can stand.
- 36:31We can gird up our loins and stand in the presence of Jesus
- 36:35Christ only by being covered in His blood, friends, and
- 36:40receiving His Holiness, receiving His justification,
- 36:45receiving all the things that were given to him by the perfect
- 36:49life that He lived. And we can have those things
- 36:52covering us. And blessed is the man whose
- 36:54sins are never counted against him.
- 36:56That is how we stand in His presence, Friends. 37 And in the
- 37:05daytime he was teaching in the temple, and at night he went out
- 37:10in a boat in the mount that is called the Mount of Olives.
- 37:14So imagine that Jesus Christ going from the temple and then
- 37:19out and staying on the Mount of Olives, which would overlook the
- 37:24temple. And I'm sure he was grieved by
- 37:27what was coming. He could see it all.
- 37:29He's already told us and prophesied about what is to come
- 37:33on that city and on that temple. 38 And all the people came early
- 37:39in the morning to him in the temple for to hear him.
- 37:46We know that this is Passion Week.
- 37:48We know that Jesus is about to be put to death.
- 37:51We know that this is his last week on planet earth before he
- 37:58ascends to the right hand of the Father, where he goes to prepare
- 38:02a place for us. And in our Father's house there
- 38:06are many dwelling places, There are many rooms, there are many
- 38:10mansions. And if it were not so, he would
- 38:13not have told us. And we know that we can have
- 38:18hope because of our future with him.
- 38:22And where He is, is where we want to be.
- 38:25Let's be lay down lovers today, friends.
- 38:29Let's sell out to the King of Kings, friends.
- 38:33Let's not compartmentalize our lives and make this little life
- 38:37about anything else except for him.
- 38:39For He is worthy, worthy, worthy.
- 38:43He's worthy of all of our attention and adoration and
- 38:46affection. Friends, give him your whole
- 38:49heart. Nothing hidden, nothing held
- 38:51back. Friends, give him every thought,
- 38:54Give him every emotion. Give him every word.
- 38:58Give him all your years, all your days, all the minutes and
- 39:03all the seconds. The reality is, this might be
- 39:06your last month on earth. This might be your last year on
- 39:12earth. This might be your last day on
- 39:16Earth. Friends, you just don't know.
- 39:21So prepare to meet your Maker each and every day.
- 39:28Every day you wake up. Give your life over to Him.
- 39:35Surrender all. Not some.
- 39:39Surrender all, everything. Your future, your finances, your
- 39:46health, your pride, your reputation, your children's
- 39:56lives, your spouse's life. Surrender all.
- 40:05He's worthy. We can't go through this life
- 40:11double minded. We must be completely fixated
- 40:16upon the face of Jesus Christ. Hope you've been blessed by this
- 40:20wonderful, powerful chapter here in the Bible.
- 40:26Doctor Luke giving us some different facets of eschatology.
- 40:32He's predominantly writing to the Gentiles here and he's
- 40:37giving us the details that we need, that he's went and
- 40:41searched out, and these are reliable sources as he's writing
- 40:48to old Theophilus so that he can stand firm in his faith.
- 40:51And that's what we can do today, friends.
- 40:54Stand firm in the scriptures knowing that they are reliable,
- 40:59knowing that they are inspired. Don't believe all of the news
- 41:08about the Bible being written by man or being barbaric or
- 41:14archaic. Don't believe all that trust in
- 41:19the Bible. Stand on the Bible.
- 41:22Do not be duped and LED astray with all this garbage of Paul's
- 41:28epistles not being worth anything or books that should be
- 41:33in there that are not. It's all a tactic of the enemy,
- 41:39friends, and he's trying to make us believe that there's higher
- 41:44ground that we can reach. But there is no higher ground
- 41:48than building your life upon the 66th Canon from Genesis to
- 41:54Revelation, friends. There's no higher ground.
- 41:59Anything else is going to be quicksand.
- 42:02You're going to find yourself in a mess if you try to take
- 42:09anything out or add anything to this Holy scripture.
- 42:14It is inerrant, it's infallible, it's profitable.
- 42:20It's everything that we need and we need to stand on it, believe
- 42:26in it. Don't call any of it into
- 42:27question if you don't understand it, it's OK.
- 42:31Just keep moving. Just keep moving.
- 42:35It'll all become clear the longer that you walk with
- 42:38Christ. He's going to reveal different
- 42:41facets of you. It's a deep, deep, deep gold
- 42:45mine, gem mine. It's the Mariana Trench.
- 42:48It's unsearchable. You're going to swim in the deep
- 42:51end and never touch the bottom. Praise God, Hallelujah.
- 42:54That Scripture interprets Scripture.
- 42:56Praise God, Hallelujah. That it is trustworthy and true.
- 43:00Praise God, Hallelujah, it is alive and active and the word
- 43:08became flesh and in the beginning was the word, and the
- 43:12Word was with God, and the word was God.
- 43:17I hope you've been blessed by this chapter.
- 43:21I know I sure have. I'm praying for every single one
- 43:27of you. I love you.
- 43:31So does God, so does the Lord Jesus Christ be covered in his
- 43:36blood today. Receive your salvation today.
- 43:44Let the Holy Spirit fill you today.
- 43:50I'll see you back here tomorrow. God bless you.
