Michael Knight Sentenced for Rape | Auckland News
Michael Knight, 46, sentenced to seven years and seven months for raping a woman more than 20 years his junior after she pretended to be asleep in his home — the jury rejected any claim of consent. The victim’s emotional courtroom testimony revealed how she trusted him, only to be betrayed. Despite a five percent sentence reduction for past good behavior, Knight’s inconsistent remorse and alcohol-related past offenses were noted by the judge, who emphasized his lack of true accountability.
