- 0:00Speaker 1: It's the Mark Simone Show on sevent Well, let's take
- 0:06Speaker 1: some calls. Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten
- 0:11Speaker 1: is the number, and let's go to Stuart, South Carolina. Stuart,
- 0:14Speaker 1: how you doing?
- 0:15Speaker 2: Hey?
- 0:16Speaker 3: Mark?
- 0:16Speaker 2: How you do? I just heard the Meli masaker mentioned
- 0:19Speaker 2: a couple times by Vincent on Friday. I just want
- 0:21Speaker 2: to set the record straight. It happened in nineteen sixty
- 0:24Speaker 2: eight Lieutenant Cally. Yeah, yeah, massacreing in Meli. Later on
- 0:31Speaker 2: he was exonerated for that, and nobody mentions that. And
- 0:34Speaker 2: I just want to add that he in I remember when
- 0:37Speaker 2: it happened Verber Okay.
- 0:38Speaker 1: But I said it was illegal. But it is illegal.
- 0:40Speaker 1: I'm massacre civilians, isn't it.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, you have to go through the case and
- 0:45Speaker 2: everything else. But like I said, he was eventually exonerated.
- 0:48Speaker 2: And the fact that these Democrats are telling the military
- 0:51Speaker 2: men and women they have no dog in this fact fight.
- 0:54Speaker 2: If soldiers end up saying I'm not going to obey
- 0:57Speaker 2: this law, you know, or this order because I think
- 1:00Speaker 2: that it's illegal, they're going to get tried under the
- 1:05Speaker 2: UMJ and probably put in prison in Levenworth. I mean,
- 1:09Speaker 2: what they're telling these people is unconscionable.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Well, but it was pretty smart of them. It was
- 1:15Speaker 1: a you know, this is a world of trolling people.
- 1:18Speaker 1: Now they were trolling Trump. He overreacted a little. I
- 1:22Speaker 1: mean he's still right. He's absolutely right. I mean they're
- 1:23Speaker 1: talking about sedition.
- 1:25Speaker 2: But h and that's absolutely right, sedition. I live right
- 1:29Speaker 2: near Fort Gordon in Augusta, and there are a lot
- 1:32Speaker 2: of military people here on Vice President of Vietnam Veterans
- 1:34Speaker 2: of America, North Augusta.
- 1:36Speaker 4: And people are outraged.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely outraged.
- 1:39Speaker 1: All right, good call, Stuart, thanks for calling. Let's go
- 1:42Speaker 1: to Steve in Manhattan. Steve, how you doing.
- 1:46Speaker 4: Don't blame me.
- 1:47Speaker 1: I voted for Pap Buchanan. Now there's nobody under ninety
- 1:51Speaker 1: who knows who you're talking about. But okay, he was
- 1:54Speaker 1: a great guy, Pat Buchanan, he was a regular guest
- 1:56Speaker 1: on the show. I love the guy. But I think
- 1:59Speaker 1: he's been dead twenty years and he ran for president
- 2:01Speaker 1: like thirty forty years ago or something. Those of you
- 2:03Speaker 1: that don't know who that is. Let's go to Mike
- 2:06Speaker 1: and Florida. Mike, how you doing morning, Mark, Yes, Mike.
- 2:11Speaker 4: I have a quick story that kind of illustrates how
- 2:13Speaker 4: the president is in person. I a number of years
- 2:17Speaker 4: ago worked on an infomercial and he was the guest,
- 2:20Speaker 4: and I had met him previously a couple of times,
- 2:23Speaker 4: but on another show. And so the producer comes down
- 2:27Speaker 4: and just the usual spiel that produces. Do don't look
- 2:29Speaker 4: at him, don't talk to him. Okay. So of course
- 2:32Speaker 4: I'm the stage manager. So I go to the back
- 2:34Speaker 4: of the dressing room and in the outer room there's
- 2:38Speaker 4: a big burly security guard and he stops me. And
- 2:41Speaker 4: the President Trump is in the other room tying his tie.
- 2:45Speaker 4: So the god does what you need. I go on
- 2:47Speaker 4: the stage, my Mike on the stage manager. I just
- 2:49Speaker 4: wanted to show mister Trump his walkout. And Trump stops
- 2:53Speaker 4: what he's doing. He looks, and he goes. He walks out,
- 2:56Speaker 4: and he goes to the security guard. You will listen
- 2:59Speaker 4: to this guy pointing to me. He knows what he's
- 3:02Speaker 4: talking about. I said, Hi, Hi, missus, nice to meet
- 3:05Speaker 4: you again.
- 3:05Speaker 3: I just want to show you. Yes. He puts his yes,
- 3:07Speaker 3: Mike puts his arm on my shoulder.
- 3:09Speaker 4: I walk him down the hallway.
- 3:11Speaker 3: He loves me, and this illustrates who he is.
- 3:15Speaker 4: He wasn't insincere, he wasn't blowing smoke.
- 3:18Speaker 3: He's genuinely like that.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Oh yeah, no, No, he's when he goes into a
- 3:24Speaker 1: building or anywhere, he always like to say hello the
- 3:26Speaker 1: doorman first. If he comes into a radio station, he's
- 3:29Speaker 1: the only guest I've ever seen going into the control
- 3:31Speaker 1: room say hello to everybody in there. That's the way
- 3:34Speaker 1: he is.
- 3:34Speaker 3: That's a very very gregarious guy. And he has love
- 3:38Speaker 3: in his heart, and he's not you know, if he
- 3:40Speaker 3: has to fight, he will. You look, he's fought the
- 3:43Speaker 3: toughest guys in New York, you know, lobsters and bad
- 3:46Speaker 3: landlords and unions and politicians.
- 3:49Speaker 4: So you know, sometimes you have to you know, sometimes
- 3:52Speaker 4: you get more you know, flies with honey, but sometimes
- 3:55Speaker 4: you kick him in the butt.
- 3:57Speaker 1: We can do both. Yeah, good call, Mike, Thanks for calling. Yet,
- 4:00Speaker 1: you know, if you talk, there's people that work in
- 4:01Speaker 1: the White House for like thirty years, forty years. They're
- 4:04Speaker 1: just staff. They're there through every president, and a bunch
- 4:07Speaker 1: of them have told me the only president who ever
- 4:11Speaker 1: comes into the kitchen to talk to them, you know,
- 4:13Speaker 1: the people who work in the kitchen, it's Trump. He'll
- 4:16Speaker 1: walk in every you know, every few days, says, how
- 4:18Speaker 1: you doing, what's going on? And here you guys need anything.
- 4:20Speaker 1: He'll walk around the grounds, talk to the gardeners everything,
- 4:23Speaker 1: how you're doing, you need anything? Got everything? You need everything?
- 4:27Speaker 1: And they've been there for decades. They've never seen another
- 4:29Speaker 1: president do that, does that all, you know? I always
- 4:31Speaker 1: noticed when he comes to the big donors throwing a
- 4:36Speaker 1: big fundraiser in the apartment on Park Avenue or Fifth Avenue.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Whenever the candidate walks in, the big, big candidate. I
- 4:43Speaker 1: don't want to measure your names, mint round me. But
- 4:45Speaker 1: whenever the big candidate walks in, it's always the same thing.
- 4:50Speaker 1: The wife will come over first, and he'll like swat
- 4:53Speaker 1: the wife out of the way. Get out of the way.
- 4:54Speaker 1: Where's the husband, where's the guy right in the check
- 4:56Speaker 1: I want to talk to him, and all he wants
- 4:58Speaker 1: to do is talk to the big donor. But I
- 4:59Speaker 1: always that's when Trump walks in. He always ignores these people.
- 5:02Speaker 1: He always wants to talk to the waiters first, the
- 5:04Speaker 1: bartender first, the woman checking the coach. He'll always talk
- 5:08Speaker 1: to her first. I'll make the donors weight. He's always
- 5:10Speaker 1: been that way. Let's go to David in Brooklyn. David,
- 5:13Speaker 1: how you doing?
- 5:16Speaker 3: Yep?
- 5:16Speaker 1: We lost him. Let's go to uh Ray in the

- 5:44Speaker 1: Okay, because with your voice, it wouldn't work if you
- 5:46Speaker 1: went stop police. It doesn't sound right.
- 5:50Speaker 5: I know, I got it. I got a crazy voice.
- 5:52Speaker 1: No, you got a nice voice. Good voice, very peppy,

- 6:13Speaker 5: what do you call residency and they got cameras all
- 6:18Speaker 5: over that precinct, all over that area.
- 6:21Speaker 1: All right. I don't know what the hell you're talking about,
- 6:22Speaker 1: but you sound happy about it. What do you mean
- 6:24Speaker 1: you built a PC?
- 6:29Speaker 5: We did the the precinct there, the old precinct. We

- 6:42Speaker 5: Yeah, the nineteenth the firehouse.
- 6:44Speaker 1: I got to be honest that that did in that
- 6:46Speaker 1: nineteenth precinct kind of run down. Yeah, you built that.
- 6:49Speaker 1: It's not exactly an architectural digest that place.
- 6:53Speaker 5: I know. It's an eighteen eighty sixth facades.

- 7:00Speaker 5: In the h The insight of it is good.
- 7:05Speaker 1: I've seen the inside. It's okay. I mean it's functional, but.
- 7:09Speaker 5: Oh yeah, yeah, I just want to let you know
- 7:11Speaker 5: about this.
- 7:11Speaker 1: But you want a decorator. I wouldn't go around showing
- 7:15Speaker 1: that to anybody.
- 7:18Speaker 5: There's also a spy room in that precinct which they
- 7:23Speaker 5: have cameras looking at the Russian consulate right across the street.

- 7:43Speaker 1: has some real insight into Trump derangement syndrome. What is
- 7:47Speaker 1: it really all about? Well, this is fascinating. We'll get
