• 0:05
Speaker 1: Good morning. I'm John North, and as we get into
• 0:08
Speaker 1: a new week, let's make sure we set our lives
• 0:12
Speaker 1: in the right direction this week. And our lives are
• 0:15
Speaker 1: in the right direction when God is the one leading them.
• 0:20
Speaker 1: The Bible says in Romans chapter 8, as many as
• 0:23
Speaker 1: are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons
• 0:27
  Speaker 1: of God.
• 0:28
Speaker 1: Well, is God leading your life? The best way to
• 0:32
Speaker 1: make sure that's so is to be sensitive to God's
• 0:37
Speaker 1: voice in your life, and that happens as you take
• 0:40
Speaker 1: time to listen to God each day.
• 0:43
Speaker 1: Take some time to get in God's word. Listen to
• 0:46
Speaker 1: what He's saying to you and make sure that you
• 0:50
Speaker 1: respond to God in what He's saying to you. Then
• 0:54
Speaker 1: you'll find your life moving down that path with God
• 0:57
Speaker 1: at the head of it.
• 1:00
Speaker 1: We're going to look this week at the theme of
• 1:03
  Speaker 1: God's voice.
• 1:05
Speaker 1: I want to look today in Genesis chapter 1, the
• 1:11
Speaker 1: very first chapter of the whole Bible. Genesis chapter 1
• 1:15
  Speaker 1: and verse 26.
• 1:20
Speaker 1: It says then God said, Let us make man in
• 1:23
Speaker 1: our image. Well, who do you think he was talking to.
• 1:27
Speaker 1: Well, of course God is a Trinity. Three persons God
• 1:31
Speaker 1: the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, and
• 1:35
Speaker 1: God the Father is speaking to the other members of
• 1:38
Speaker 1: the Trinity and saying, Let us make man in our
• 1:41
Speaker 1: image according to our likeness, and let them rule over
• 1:47
Speaker 1: the fish of the sea and over the birds of
• 1:49
Speaker 1: the sky and over the cattle and over all the
• 1:52
Speaker 1: earth and over every creeping thing.
• 1:55
Speaker 1: That creeps on the earth.
• 1:59
Speaker 1: And so God created man in His own image. In
• 2:03
Speaker 1: the image of God, He created him, male and female.
• 2:07
  Speaker 1: He created them.
• 2:09
Speaker 1: In the next chapter, the writer of the book of
• 2:12
Speaker 1: Genesis gives us a bit more detail about that creation.
• 2:16
Speaker 1: It says in verse 7, then that Lord God formed
• 2:20
Speaker 1: man of dust from the ground and breathed into His
• 2:24
Speaker 1: nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being.
• 2:32
  Speaker 1: Isn't that interesting?
• 2:34
Speaker 1: God spoke everything into existence with His words, with His voice,
• 2:41
  Speaker 1: except for mankind.
• 2:44
  Speaker 1: Us
• 2:46
Speaker 1: God formed with his own hands.
• 2:50
Speaker 1: You know, God takes special concern for mankind, for you.
• 2:58
Speaker 1: You are special to God. God has so many special
• 3:05
Speaker 1: purposes and desires for you in your life.
• 3:09
Speaker 1: So many times we ignore how special we are to God.
• 3:15
Speaker 1: Life can deal us experiences, and we never understood how
• 3:21
Speaker 1: badly they could hurt us. And in those times when
• 3:24
Speaker 1: we feel broken and not capable of doing anything worth while,
• 3:30
Speaker 1: it's those times that we really need to remember that
• 3:35
Speaker 1: God considers us very precious to Him. He created you
• 3:40
Speaker 1: with His own hands.
• 3:42
Speaker 1: And he breathed into you the breath of his own life.
• 3:47
Speaker 1: You weren't just created with a spoken word, as amazing
• 3:50
Speaker 1: as that is. You were a breath from the Almighty God.
• 3:56
Speaker 1: And this day that you're going into today was also
• 4:00
Speaker 1: created by God for you, and it's God's plan for
• 4:05
Speaker 1: you to enjoy what He has made for you as
• 4:09
Speaker 1: you step outside the door or if you're driving in
• 4:12
Speaker 1: your car. Just look around you at the day God
• 4:15
Speaker 1: has made for you today. Take time out and recognise
• 4:20
Speaker 1: that you are a part of that creation made specially
• 4:25
  Speaker 1: by God.
• 4:26
Speaker 1: Because he has an eternal purpose for you, look around
• 4:30
Speaker 1: you at nature today.
• 4:32
Speaker 1: And let God know how thankful you are.
• 4:36
Speaker 1: That he has shown such care for you.
• 4:41
  Speaker 1: I'm John North
