0:29
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and I was like, where is she going with this?
0:31
SPEAKER_00: She saw my face, right?
0:32
SPEAKER_00: I was just reminding folks what they're getting into.
0:36
SPEAKER_03: So if you don't know, too bad you're stuck now.
0:39
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, welcome.
0:41
SPEAKER_00: Watch rewatch because one of us has seen a show, the other one has not.
0:45
SPEAKER_00: And in this case, I have not.
0:48
SPEAKER_00: I'm Lisa, and I am sipping on something I haven't in a while.
0:53
SPEAKER_00: Oh, can't open.
0:54
SPEAKER_00: Come on, stupid nails.
0:58
SPEAKER_00: I got me a mango white cloth.
1:03
SPEAKER_00: I like my medications that kick in.
1:06
SPEAKER_03: I like cut water.
1:07
SPEAKER_03: Because cut water have you on the floor.
1:11
SPEAKER_00: I I don't mind them.
1:13
SPEAKER_00: I like them.
1:14
SPEAKER_00: Actually, no, I was thinking of I was thinking of the high noons.
1:17
SPEAKER_00: I like those less.
1:20
SPEAKER_00: They they have like um not not that white claws are like the epitome, right?
1:25
SPEAKER_00: I'd honestly I'd rather just have like a regular salsa and pour vodka into it.
1:31
SPEAKER_03: Because the things for me, white claws taste like static.
1:41
SPEAKER_01: What?
1:43
SPEAKER_01: Are you high?
1:44
SPEAKER_04: No, like static on the TV.
1:47
SPEAKER_04: You like you feel like that's what it tastes like.
1:51
SPEAKER_00: Such a fucking gen X shit.
1:53
SPEAKER_00: Like these kids are like, what's static?
1:58
SPEAKER_00: Like stationary.
2:01
SPEAKER_00: Non-moving.
2:03
SPEAKER_03: The look on your face.
2:06
SPEAKER_03: Because listen, if static on the TV, we could try and pull it.
2:10
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
2:11
SPEAKER_00: If they had a taste, it would be my car.
2:14
SPEAKER_00: You can you could feel it, right?
2:15
SPEAKER_00: If you got too close, you could feel it.
2:17
SPEAKER_00: You could feel it, right?
2:18
SPEAKER_00: So if so you could probably have tasted it if you stuck your tongue out.
2:22
SPEAKER_00: Right, right.
2:23
SPEAKER_00: So yeah.
2:25
SPEAKER_00: Whole fucking generation.
2:27
SPEAKER_00: I'm sure somebody out there licked their TV.
2:29
SPEAKER_00: So if you did, tell us what it tastes like.
2:34
SPEAKER_03: If it had a taste, it would be white claw.
2:36
SPEAKER_03: Um the look on your face was priceless.
2:41
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
2:43
SPEAKER_00: And and and I'm sorry.
2:44
SPEAKER_00: And to whom am I speaking?
2:46
SPEAKER_00: The the person who has seen the show?
2:48
SPEAKER_00: Who'll be you?
2:49
SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry.
2:49
SPEAKER_00: I'm still look at this.
2:50
SPEAKER_00: I still think about the look on your face.
2:54
SPEAKER_00: Here we are you.
2:55
SPEAKER_03: And I'm Agnes, the non-static drinker.
2:59
SPEAKER_00: I feel so judged right now.
3:01
SPEAKER_00: Like, fuck you.
3:02
SPEAKER_00: I'm drinking static.
3:04
SPEAKER_00: Like, what am I doing?
3:04
SPEAKER_01: Maybe later.
3:05
SPEAKER_00: Am I not good?
3:07
SPEAKER_00: I'm not getting good enough for you, my drink.
3:12
SPEAKER_00: You know what?
3:13
SPEAKER_00: Me and my static, my mango flavored static, and I had mango sour straws last night.
3:19
SPEAKER_00: They were good.
3:20
SPEAKER_03: Um you gotta think about this hours after the fact.
3:23
SPEAKER_00: We'll just be over here enjoying our fuzzy feel.
3:28
SPEAKER_03: Well, speaking of fuzzy, I've got that fermented pineapple.
3:34
SPEAKER_03: I keep a couple fermenting, and with the wine and the pineapples, and I'm let me see.
3:41
SPEAKER_03: I'm bubbly.
3:42
SPEAKER_03: My baby big mason jar.
3:44
SPEAKER_03: Oh wait.
3:45
SPEAKER_03: Can you see?
3:46
SPEAKER_00: I see.
3:47
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
3:48
SPEAKER_00: Whatever.
3:51
SPEAKER_00: That was so mean of you.
3:52
SPEAKER_03: Oh, that's a pretty picture of me.
3:55
SPEAKER_03: I just got a memory on my computer.
3:58
SPEAKER_03: They said, look back 10 years ago and this is just me.
4:00
SPEAKER_03: I'm like, oh, that I look pretty there.
4:02
SPEAKER_03: Um that might just mean okay.
4:07
SPEAKER_00: We are what?
4:09
SPEAKER_00: Five minutes in?
4:10
SPEAKER_00: I see how this episode is gonna go.
4:15
SPEAKER_03: How is this different than any other episode we record?
4:19
SPEAKER_00: Cause I don't know, but it is.
4:22
SPEAKER_00: Because we always a little woo-hoo.
4:26
SPEAKER_00: I think it was funny.
4:28
SPEAKER_00: Can I just say I think it was funny that I was watching the newer season of It's Always Sunny?
4:34
SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
4:34
SPEAKER_00: And and I sent you a picture of cricket, and you're like, who's that?
4:38
SPEAKER_02: Oh yeah, I had no idea.
4:39
SPEAKER_02: I was like, what why is she sending me so random crazy looking white guy?
4:42
SPEAKER_02: I don't I'm like, should I do that?
4:44
SPEAKER_00: I didn't even realize he's he's a producer on It's Always Sunny now.
4:47
SPEAKER_00: I don't know if he always was, but he's a producer.
4:51
SPEAKER_03: Okay.
4:51
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
4:52
SPEAKER_03: So Boomer finally did something.
4:54
SPEAKER_03: Okay, we'll stop.
4:55
SPEAKER_00: Um all right, remix.
4:58
SPEAKER_00: Season two.
5:00
SPEAKER_03: The remix of this episode, we're gonna just end it now.
5:03
SPEAKER_03: Um before we get too drunk.
5:05
SPEAKER_00: No.
5:06
SPEAKER_00: I think that ship has sailed.
5:10
SPEAKER_04: 600 episodes ago, right?
5:12
SPEAKER_00: I was like, wait a minute, is that the way the saying goes?
5:16
SPEAKER_00: I didn't really think about it.
5:20
SPEAKER_00: I think my medicine is coming in.
5:23
SPEAKER_03: I'm watching I just started watching the episode the first time and the second time and third time.
5:29
SPEAKER_03: I'm having problems.
5:30
SPEAKER_03: And the only thing I could think of, like as soon as the episode starts, is this show is like the saying is never the crime, but it's the cover-up.
5:44
SPEAKER_00: This is oh my god, this is so dumb.
5:47
SPEAKER_03: This is the phrase on TV.
5:51
SPEAKER_03: Like, this is it made for that phrase.
5:55
SPEAKER_03: I'm like, it's always the cover up because they just keep getting in deeper to keep to clean up the last shit.
6:02
SPEAKER_03: That's funny to me.
6:05
SPEAKER_00: I don't really have any hot takes.
6:07
SPEAKER_00: No.
6:08
SPEAKER_00: It I guess if I if I if I had to, you know, if I absolutely had to.
6:15
SPEAKER_03: She's repositioning her mic, so this is gonna be juicy.
6:20
SPEAKER_00: No, I think all I would say is that I was expecting more out of the episode.
6:26
SPEAKER_00: I like I like how I like the lead-in.
6:32
SPEAKER_00: I like how it was kind of like the uh fake out almost, you know, where Beth is like, I I gotta clean up a mess, and oh, but what happened to the stop sign?
6:43
SPEAKER_00: And like whatever, and then you see her scrubbing, and also that's fucking nasty with her bloody glove hands and she's holding her mug from the top, but also then okay, you know, 12 hours or however many hours earlier, and then you start to see like what happened, fine.
7:05
SPEAKER_00: But I felt like after that the episode just it lost its steam, its steam, yeah.
7:15
SPEAKER_00: Like it didn't it didn't get faster as it went down the mountain, it just kind of like rolled, you know.
7:20
SPEAKER_00: Well what's what's the law?
7:22
SPEAKER_00: Like an object in motion will stay in motion.
7:24
SPEAKER_00: Stay in motion.
7:25
SPEAKER_00: It's it it felt like that, like we're just going, and there's nothing here to push us or stop us.
7:31
SPEAKER_00: Okay, okay.
7:35
SPEAKER_03: I agree.
7:36
SPEAKER_03: Oh, I told you I agree at the beginning, but so I don't know why you're so surprised.
7:41
SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
7:42
SPEAKER_00: Because you've been mean to me this episode.
7:46
SPEAKER_00: You called my drink static.
7:48
SPEAKER_02: I called the drink static.
7:50
SPEAKER_02: I didn't call you static, so what's it?
7:51
SPEAKER_00: And what does that make me for drinking it and for actually enjoying it?
7:55
SPEAKER_02: A static drinker.
8:00
SPEAKER_00: You guys, we need new cohes.
8:04
SPEAKER_02: I've been trying to get fired for years.
8:07
SPEAKER_00: Who said it was for you?
8:13
SPEAKER_00: Alright, let's talk about this episode.
8:15
SPEAKER_00: I I I have to go make new friends.
8:20
SPEAKER_03: Um so the second episode opens and it's the morning after Beth had made her Sophie's choice between shooting Dean, the piece of shit husband, or Rio, the scary boss from hell.
8:35
SPEAKER_03: Which one do you pick?
8:37
SPEAKER_03: Before the big reveal of Beth's choice, though, of course, we're left just hanging out there.
8:43
SPEAKER_03: We see her arriving home anxious with a trunk full of clean supplies.
8:47
SPEAKER_03: A nosy neighbor is out for her morning jog because, you know, this is suburbia.
8:53
SPEAKER_03: People do that out here too.
8:54
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
8:55
SPEAKER_03: They do this out here not so much.
8:58
SPEAKER_03: Do we have sidewalks?
9:00
SPEAKER_03: No.
9:00
SPEAKER_00: But I don't have I don't have sidewalks.
9:02
SPEAKER_00: Well, not on my block.
9:04
SPEAKER_00: But I mean, around here there's sidewalks, but on this block there aren't any.
9:07
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
9:09
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they and at night they walk with their flashlights.
9:12
SPEAKER_00: I'm like, where the fuck do I live?
9:16
SPEAKER_03: Would never happen in New York because you're not out unless you're like You don't go jogging in Central Park at 12 o'clock at the end.
9:25
SPEAKER_00: But like people jog at all hours.
9:27
SPEAKER_00: Well, the morning hours, not the night hours as much.
9:32
SPEAKER_00: Right.
9:32
SPEAKER_03: The morning hours because someone's always going to work.
9:34
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, all different kinds of people jog all different places in but in the morning.
9:40
SPEAKER_00: It's usually a more morning thing, not a night thing.
9:44
SPEAKER_00: We learned what happened.
9:46
SPEAKER_03: So, yes.
9:47
SPEAKER_03: A dosy neighbor was out for her morning jog and scares the shit out of Beth.
9:54
SPEAKER_03: She goes, What does she say exactly?
9:56
SPEAKER_03: Something to the effect of what happened.
10:00
SPEAKER_03: And she's like, What do you mean?
10:01
SPEAKER_03: She's like, Oh, the stop sign.
10:02
SPEAKER_03: Beth's like, fucking bitch.
10:04
SPEAKER_03: Like you could tell that she was annoyed.
10:05
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and these people obviously don't have real problems if their biggest scandal is that a stop signal.
10:10
SPEAKER_03: Stop sign was missing.
10:12
SPEAKER_00: Like, my pearls.
10:16
SPEAKER_00: We'll get a problem.
10:17
SPEAKER_00: You can have some of mine.
10:19
SPEAKER_00: I share.
10:20
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
10:20
SPEAKER_03: I have tons of we could we could we could give out our problems and have plenty left over for ourselves.
10:26
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
10:28
SPEAKER_03: So of course, then I'm gonna call her now the nosy neighbor.
10:31
SPEAKER_03: That's what she will be always known as.
10:34
SPEAKER_03: So as she watches Beth empty out her car from her shopping, she says, So, which one of the children made the mess this time?
10:41
SPEAKER_03: That in itself was kind of like, bitch, get the fuck out of my face.
10:44
SPEAKER_03: Because it's clean supplies.
10:46
SPEAKER_03: Who doesn't have clean supplies?
10:47
SPEAKER_03: Who has to make a mess to buy clean supplies?
10:50
SPEAKER_03: Right.
10:53
SPEAKER_03: But Beth goes, me.
10:59
SPEAKER_03: And then you see her scrubbing a huge old massive blood stain.
11:05
SPEAKER_03: First of all, the best way to do that was to throw some baking soda over it with some um peroxide.
11:12
SPEAKER_03: No, peroxide first.
11:13
SPEAKER_03: Not to do the pero hydrogen peroxide first.
11:16
SPEAKER_03: Get that bubbling out of the out the get it up out.
11:20
SPEAKER_03: And then once it's out, you want to dab a little bit, baking soda to soak it up, and then you could do your cleaning process.
11:26
SPEAKER_03: Because right now you're just scrubbing it into the okay, because that was my question.
11:30
SPEAKER_00: Like, you always see people clean it like this on TV, and it starts to make me wonder like, am I cleaning shit wrong?
11:37
SPEAKER_00: But then I'm like, no, because what the fuck?
11:40
SPEAKER_00: You're just scrubbing it, even if it's sudsing and coming up, unless you're removing unless you have like a dry vat, a wet vat, but you can just stuck it up.
11:49
SPEAKER_03: Other than that, you just it's just gonna go right back in.
11:52
SPEAKER_03: Yes.
11:53
unknown: Okay.
11:53
SPEAKER_00: Hydro peroxide, baking soda, I also got all the excess blood stains laying around my house.
12:00
SPEAKER_03: So well, you know, but you know, when you get your period, we are taught carbon peroxide.
12:05
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
12:07
SPEAKER_00: I know.
12:08
SPEAKER_00: Like this, not like this.
12:10
SPEAKER_00: Same, but you know what?
12:11
SPEAKER_03: You just do it on a larger scale.
12:14
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's it still works.
12:16
SPEAKER_03: So TV needs to get it together.
12:18
SPEAKER_03: And he was like, well, we don't want people to like clean up their mess.
12:21
SPEAKER_03: We all know how to clean up blood.
12:23
SPEAKER_03: We don't need TV to tell us how to actually clean up blood.
12:26
SPEAKER_03: And you know, luminol picks up like certain like common household cleaners too.
12:32
SPEAKER_03: Never mind if you even if you didn't have blood, it picks up some common household cleaners.
12:38
SPEAKER_00: Well, learn what they are and alibi.
12:42
SPEAKER_03: I'll tell you later off off air.
12:44
unknown: Okay.
12:45
SPEAKER_03: I've heard.
12:46
SPEAKER_03: No, allegedly.
12:48
SPEAKER_00: Allegedly.
12:50
SPEAKER_03: So doing a break from her scrubbing more blood into the carpet, she just casually just drinks from her I'd rather be crafting mug.
13:00
SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, Oh no, that's the name of the episode.
13:03
SPEAKER_00: I'd rather be crafting.
13:04
SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's the name of it.
13:05
SPEAKER_00: The remix was the last episode.
13:07
SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
13:08
SPEAKER_00: You see how you screw me up?
13:11
SPEAKER_00: Um and the reason I'm blaming her is because I couldn't remember and I asked her like started.
13:17
SPEAKER_00: And I said yes.
13:18
SPEAKER_00: That's arbitrarily blaming her.
13:21
SPEAKER_03: No, I have no defense because I like, yeah, that's what it is.
13:23
SPEAKER_03: Because I remember it being remixed, but that was legit the last episode.
13:27
SPEAKER_03: That was season one, that was episode 10.
13:30
SPEAKER_00: Because I'm just like, yeah, you lie and I swore, so whatever.
13:34
SPEAKER_00: Both dumb.
13:39
SPEAKER_03: But the I was gonna give you a fucking compliment, but fuck you now.
13:45
SPEAKER_03: You can wait to add you could add the episode to hear the compliment.
13:51
SPEAKER_00: Fine.
13:52
SPEAKER_00: I will.
13:55
SPEAKER_00: Maybe I'll take out that recording and I'll play it on a loop for when you call, and it'll just pay me compliments when you every time you call my phone.
14:06
SPEAKER_00: Actually, that sounds like a fun idea.
14:10
SPEAKER_03: Now I want to figure what the compliment was.
14:12
SPEAKER_00: No.
14:13
SPEAKER_00: Like, like on um the office, Jim sets his phone so when Dwight calls, just says, idiot, idiot, idiot.
14:23
SPEAKER_03: See, that would be that would fit me too.
14:26
SPEAKER_03: That's my green tail.
14:27
SPEAKER_03: Idiot.
14:28
SPEAKER_03: Idiot.
14:28
SPEAKER_03: Idiot.
14:33
SPEAKER_03: Um, so back to what Lisa had said earlier about she puts the mug back and she has these blood stains on it.
14:40
SPEAKER_03: First, you don't see the blood stain.
14:42
SPEAKER_03: She puts the coaster back, but she puts the mug back.
14:45
SPEAKER_03: Oh, right.
14:46
SPEAKER_03: But then she realizes it's not in a coaster, and then she picks it up and she puts it on the coaster, and that's when you see the blood stains, which is like, ooh.
14:53
SPEAKER_00: But they were already on the cup before.
14:55
SPEAKER_00: You just couldn't.
14:57
SPEAKER_03: You couldn't see it because it was.
14:58
SPEAKER_03: Well, you could.
14:59
SPEAKER_03: Not like you could when she after she put it in the right spot.
15:02
SPEAKER_03: It just hit different because it's just right there in your face.
15:05
SPEAKER_03: Because, you know, blood stains on a mug, it's okay, but coffee rings on a table, unacceptable.
15:12
SPEAKER_00: But but the reason it was gross is because you know she was just gonna pick up that cup and drink out of it again.
15:19
SPEAKER_00: No, it was.
15:20
SPEAKER_00: And there's blood on top because of the way she grabbed it.
15:24
SPEAKER_03: She picked it up, right?
15:26
SPEAKER_00: And it's that it's not that she had blood, it's not she's cleaning blood, it's not that she was thirsty.
15:30
SPEAKER_00: Like you didn't grab it by the handle, you grabbed it by the top, or your mouth goes but sorry.
15:36
SPEAKER_00: Gross.
15:37
SPEAKER_00: Like, ew, no.
15:39
SPEAKER_03: Like, shouldn't you know better?
15:41
SPEAKER_03: Well, let's pretend that she had finished drinking and it was empty.
15:47
SPEAKER_03: For your own peace of mind.
15:48
SPEAKER_03: Well then why would she still need a coaster?
15:51
SPEAKER_03: Because the mug was still rings on it, and she didn't want it on her table.
15:59
SPEAKER_00: No.
16:00
SPEAKER_03: Okay.
16:01
SPEAKER_03: There's not compute.
16:02
SPEAKER_03: I mean, even if it was an empty mug, it still would have, you know, we leave rings on the table.
16:06
SPEAKER_00: Not if it was from a hot beverage.
16:09
SPEAKER_00: If there's no beverage.
16:10
SPEAKER_03: But the mug's nice still be warm and it was still.
16:15
SPEAKER_00: I don't know how hot it has to be to actually like it.
16:17
SPEAKER_00: Coaster is usually for cold things because you don't want the wet.
16:20
SPEAKER_00: Cold and hot.
16:22
SPEAKER_00: But mostly for cold, because the cold is what makes the condensation.
16:26
SPEAKER_03: But then the hot stains leaves marks on the table too.
16:30
SPEAKER_00: Yes.
16:31
SPEAKER_00: But you don't need it as long as for cold.
16:34
SPEAKER_03: It doesn't take that long to damage it either.
16:37
SPEAKER_00: If the mug is hot.
16:39
SPEAKER_00: I've never used a coaster for a hot beverage.
16:42
SPEAKER_03: I do.
16:43
SPEAKER_03: On my table, if I'm in the living room, the table in my living room.
16:47
SPEAKER_03: Because I don't like to see the circles.
16:48
SPEAKER_03: And do you know what I have to do to get rid of this this the steam?
16:52
SPEAKER_00: Alright.
16:52
SPEAKER_00: I'm not listening.
16:54
SPEAKER_03: Pain in the ass.
16:55
SPEAKER_03: You know what really works magic?
16:56
SPEAKER_03: This is cleanser, wood cleanser, like an Amish wood cleanser.
17:00
SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
17:01
unknown: Amazing.
17:02
SPEAKER_03: It's life-changing.
17:03
SPEAKER_03: It really is.
17:04
SPEAKER_03: Because it cleans and waxes at the same time.
17:07
SPEAKER_03: Okay.
17:08
SPEAKER_03: Back to that.
17:12
SPEAKER_03: The episode cuts 12 hours earlier with Annie and Greg making out like teenagers in a parked car.
17:18
SPEAKER_03: And this confused me like, whoa.
17:20
SPEAKER_00: Because I'm like, wait, how did we but it I know.
17:25
unknown: I know.
17:25
SPEAKER_00: Okay, that's what I'm saying.
17:26
SPEAKER_00: Like the beginning had such potential because then it's like, wait a minute, wait.
17:30
SPEAKER_00: Wow.
17:31
SPEAKER_00: What?
17:32
SPEAKER_03: Because you were just because you had just found out about Nancy, and you're like, we can't do this because he's trying to get pregnant and we can't do this.
17:40
SPEAKER_03: And you're yelling at him in the car in the in the driveway, and then 12 hours later, you're over here, or whatever hours later, you're making out.
17:48
SPEAKER_03: Right.
17:48
SPEAKER_03: Okay.
17:49
SPEAKER_03: And it didn't even look like him for a minute.
17:51
SPEAKER_00: Uh I don't, I mean.
17:53
SPEAKER_03: Okay.
17:54
SPEAKER_00: I didn't notice that.
17:57
SPEAKER_03: So they're all fucked up and just, I don't know, living their best life.
18:02
SPEAKER_03: Fucked off.
18:02
SPEAKER_03: What?
18:03
SPEAKER_03: I said I'm fucked off.
18:06
SPEAKER_03: And then some.
18:09
SPEAKER_03: Ruby and Stan are the next scene's with Ruby and Stan.
18:14
SPEAKER_03: And Stan's making up the couch.
18:16
SPEAKER_03: Because no way in hell is he going to sleep in the same room as his criminal wife.
18:20
SPEAKER_03: Although the love of my life was accept my criminal behavior.
18:23
SPEAKER_03: And actually help me.
18:25
SPEAKER_03: But that's just me.
18:26
SPEAKER_03: So she tries.
18:27
SPEAKER_03: Ruby makes a violent pitch for forgiveness.
18:31
SPEAKER_03: I get what she did was wrong.
18:33
SPEAKER_03: Like you walk, like as a husband and a police officer, you're walking into this, like smacked in the middle, and you're like, what the fuck?
18:40
SPEAKER_03: You put our whole family in danger.
18:42
SPEAKER_03: But I feel sorry for it.
18:44
SPEAKER_03: I don't want her to be.
18:46
SPEAKER_03: I don't want this.
18:48
SPEAKER_03: I don't want the pain.
18:50
SPEAKER_03: I don't want her to go through this.
18:52
SPEAKER_03: Anyway, so she's trying to like weave her way.
18:57
SPEAKER_00: I think it was like the one of the closest things to a Sophie's choice.
19:01
SPEAKER_00: And I haven't seen the movie, so if I'm using the reference wrong, like, you know.
19:06
SPEAKER_00: But I I mean she was torn between basically her kids' life, you know, getting the medical help that she needed, which was very costly.
19:18
SPEAKER_00: And how else could she have done it so quickly?
19:21
SPEAKER_00: And you know, I don't I don't think that she would have gotten into that life if everything was.
19:28
SPEAKER_03: It wasn't for funsies.
19:29
SPEAKER_03: It was not for funsies, it wasn't for the hell of it.
19:31
SPEAKER_03: Although they are continuing in the business because Beth was having funsies.
19:36
SPEAKER_00: Um but but this is not this part is not about Beth.
19:40
SPEAKER_00: It's about No, no, no, no.
19:41
SPEAKER_03: I was like, so right.
19:42
SPEAKER_03: I was agreeing with you, but I'm just like on another note.
19:45
SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
19:46
SPEAKER_03: Okay, sorry.
19:49
SPEAKER_00: I'm all fucked up.
19:51
SPEAKER_04: That's why I'm laughing.
19:57
unknown: I'm sorry.
19:58
SPEAKER_03: So Ruby is trying to find ways to like let herself like weave him back in and hey, this and all that other stuff.
20:07
SPEAKER_03: And then finally, Stan's like, what do you want here?
20:10
SPEAKER_03: And then I'm like, my heart.
20:12
SPEAKER_03: I was like, don't yell at me.
20:13
SPEAKER_03: Oh, that's not me.
20:15
SPEAKER_03: You want to act like nothing's wrong?
20:16
SPEAKER_03: You want to cuddle?
20:17
SPEAKER_03: You want to watch TV?
20:18
SPEAKER_03: Well, guess what, baby?
20:20
SPEAKER_03: I'm living it.
20:21
SPEAKER_03: I'm sorry, I quoted that wrong.
20:23
SPEAKER_03: Let me go back and do this correctly.
20:26
SPEAKER_03: He says, he asks angrily, you ready?
20:29
SPEAKER_03: You want to act like nothing's wrong?
20:31
SPEAKER_03: You want to cuddle?
20:32
SPEAKER_03: You want to watch reality TV?
20:34
SPEAKER_03: Well, guess what, baby?
20:35
SPEAKER_03: I'm living it.
20:37
SPEAKER_03: All those nights you stuffed like a baby right next to me with your shady lying ass.
20:41
SPEAKER_03: I was like, ooh, he sounded like a scene from a reality TV show.
20:47
SPEAKER_03: I wasn't mad at it.
20:48
SPEAKER_03: He did a pretty damn good job.
20:51
SPEAKER_00: I'm sure I'm sure they borrowed the writers from the reality show to help that line.
20:55
SPEAKER_03: Well, yeah, because I because I think um drama writers are a little bit more realistic than reality TV writers.
21:05
SPEAKER_03: So even after Ruby tries to defend herself, he doesn't want to hear it.
21:09
SPEAKER_03: She watches, both exasperated and in shock, as Stan pulls his gun and cocks it before going to bed and sliding it under the pillows.
21:17
SPEAKER_03: And she asks, and I'm like, why?
21:19
SPEAKER_03: I'm thinking, why do you have to ask?
21:22
SPEAKER_03: But then I realize she doesn't know.
21:23
SPEAKER_03: But okay, I kind of felt stupid.
21:26
SPEAKER_03: She asks, like, why are you doing that?
21:28
SPEAKER_03: And at this, at this, at this scene, I didn't understand why she's asking.
21:31
SPEAKER_03: I'm like, Dud, don't you know?
21:33
SPEAKER_03: And then I'm like, oh no, this is 12 hours before you don't know.
21:38
SPEAKER_03: They got bailed out.
21:41
SPEAKER_03: Like we see, we already seen 12 hours, we already seen Rio in the house.
21:46
SPEAKER_03: So we knew Rio got bailed out.
21:49
SPEAKER_03: But she doesn't know.
21:51
SPEAKER_03: And I forgot that she didn't know.
21:53
SPEAKER_00: Right.
21:53
SPEAKER_00: Hello, what do you mean?
21:54
SPEAKER_03: Rio's out.
21:55
SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, oh I was like, wait, what do you mean?
21:58
SPEAKER_02: No, what do you mean?
21:59
SPEAKER_02: No, what do I mean?
22:00
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
22:01
SPEAKER_03: Okay.
22:01
SPEAKER_03: They you know what?
22:03
SPEAKER_03: Hold on.
22:04
SPEAKER_03: Uh-oh.
22:05
SPEAKER_03: Uh oh.
22:06
SPEAKER_03: Uh-huh.
22:07
SPEAKER_00: She's drinking her fuzzy drink, and I'm just drinking my static drink.
22:14
SPEAKER_03: But you know that we both had a head tilted, kind of drinking.
22:18
SPEAKER_04: Drinking the s okay.
22:23
SPEAKER_03: So she questions, like, why are you doing that?
22:25
SPEAKER_03: Which is a valid question.
22:26
SPEAKER_03: Why do you sleep with the gun in the pillow?
22:29
SPEAKER_03: He replies, because you and your girlfriends thought you can play gangway, and they made Belle gang away.
22:37
SPEAKER_04: I'm sorry.
22:42
SPEAKER_04: Gang away.
22:44
SPEAKER_04: Sorry.
22:46
SPEAKER_04: It was so stupid.
22:47
SPEAKER_04: It was funny.
22:50
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
22:51
SPEAKER_04: Gang away.
22:53
SPEAKER_03: I got it.
22:54
SPEAKER_03: It was funny.
22:57
SPEAKER_03: I thought it was.
22:58
SPEAKER_03: So back at Beth's house, it goes back to the scene that we saw last season's last episode.
23:05
SPEAKER_03: Say that three times fast.
23:07
SPEAKER_03: We see the scene unfolding as though we've come in behind Beth, as opposed to watching her come in, which is kind of cool.
23:15
SPEAKER_03: I thought about you, Lisa, because I'm like, I wonder if Lisa's going to appreciate the different view of the camera.
23:21
SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
23:21
SPEAKER_03: But because Lisa's very like, she knows this kind of shit.
23:25
SPEAKER_00: I I thought about going back to the last episode to see where, like, if there were errors.
23:34
SPEAKER_03: I know I thought about that too.
23:35
SPEAKER_00: But then I was like, I'm not gonna do that.
23:38
SPEAKER_03: I just assumed that you were.
23:39
SPEAKER_03: I was waiting for you to come tell me what was missing.
23:43
SPEAKER_03: That was actually three inches to the left.
23:47
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I was waiting for that.
23:48
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, she didn't put her hand out like that.
23:50
SPEAKER_00: He didn't say it like this.
23:52
SPEAKER_03: So frame pictures are now shattered on the floor, things are knocked over, it's a complete chaos.
23:58
SPEAKER_03: And best purse is on the floor.
24:01
SPEAKER_03: You see her phone ringing as Ruby's trying to call her.
24:06
SPEAKER_03: That's a good homegirl.
24:07
SPEAKER_03: Because as soon as she clicked, she calls Beth.
24:09
SPEAKER_03: I mean, although she was a little too late, but who would have thought?
24:12
SPEAKER_03: Who would have thunk it?
24:14
SPEAKER_00: Everybody.
24:15
SPEAKER_00: Everybody else in the world was like, that's a bad idea, bitch.
24:21
SPEAKER_03: I mean, yes.
24:23
SPEAKER_03: We said the same thing.
24:24
SPEAKER_03: But okay, but okay, to be fair, for suburban moms who are not with it, the FBI is looking for this guy.
24:33
SPEAKER_03: Like he's a big gang banger.
24:35
SPEAKER_03: They have him in his.
24:36
SPEAKER_03: Do you really think they didn't think he was gonna make bail like the same night?
24:40
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they don't watch enough TV.
24:42
SPEAKER_00: They made TV and movies about this stuff.
24:46
SPEAKER_00: Like, do better.
24:48
SPEAKER_03: Do better.
24:49
SPEAKER_03: Watch more TV for research.
24:50
SPEAKER_00: Research, people, research.
24:53
SPEAKER_03: Up to now, Rio embeds, even when he has a gun to her face, there's still some tension.
24:59
SPEAKER_03: There's that's still like electricity going.
25:02
SPEAKER_03: And I don't mean the static electricity, like you're saying.
25:09
SPEAKER_03: This scene is probably the first scene, in my opinion, where it's just tension, but no sexual tension.
25:16
SPEAKER_03: It's just scary as fuck.
25:18
SPEAKER_03: You realize who Rio really is.
25:21
SPEAKER_00: Not that we didn't before, but but I think that this puts puts it in more graphic terms.
25:28
SPEAKER_00: In case you weren't picking up what he was putting down, here it is.
25:32
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
25:33
SPEAKER_03: Stevie Wonder can see what the fuck is going on now.
25:40
SPEAKER_00: That was terrible.
25:42
SPEAKER_03: First of all, there are 601 billion Stevie Wonder jokes.
25:46
SPEAKER_03: I doubt mine really hits that hard.
25:49
SPEAKER_00: How do you know?
25:50
SPEAKER_00: Maybe that's the one he'll hear.
25:53
SPEAKER_02: Then we made it.
25:54
SPEAKER_02: Then we fucking made it, okay?
25:57
SPEAKER_02: I'll take I'll take the L if that's the case.
26:01
SPEAKER_02: And you will.
26:02
SPEAKER_02: You heard it here, folks.
26:03
SPEAKER_02: Wasn't me.
26:04
SPEAKER_02: If Stevie Wonder hears this episode of Assassin's Six, fuck yes, I'll take the L, okay?
26:11
SPEAKER_03: Okay.
26:11
SPEAKER_03: I'm a big fan.
26:13
SPEAKER_03: I am too, but I like our show being listened to by Stevie Wonder.
26:20
SPEAKER_00: He's gotta have a sense of humor.
26:22
SPEAKER_00: I'm pretty sure.
26:24
SPEAKER_03: All right.
26:25
SPEAKER_03: As real cruelly asks her if she thinks she has what it takes.
26:30
SPEAKER_03: And it's just like, that's a little bit sexy though, the way he says it.
26:33
SPEAKER_03: Dean tells her, shoot him.
26:34
SPEAKER_03: Shoot him.
26:36
SPEAKER_03: His gun was sick.
26:37
SPEAKER_03: Did I feel like I had three barrels?
26:39
SPEAKER_03: That's the one, two, and the three.
26:41
SPEAKER_03: Okay.
26:41
SPEAKER_00: I did not notice.
26:43
SPEAKER_03: I did.
26:43
SPEAKER_03: I was looking.
26:45
SPEAKER_03: Okay.
26:46
SPEAKER_03: So she doesn't think the gun is loaded, but Rio assures her that it is, because you can tell by the weight.
26:53
SPEAKER_03: Because the clip adds a full pound.
26:55
SPEAKER_03: That's an extended mag.
26:57
SPEAKER_03: That's some serious shit.
26:59
SPEAKER_03: She's like, or you could just pull the trigger.
27:03
SPEAKER_03: Dean urgently reminds her, huh?
27:06
SPEAKER_00: That is one way.
27:07
SPEAKER_03: That's one way.
27:08
SPEAKER_03: So the gun is still pointing direction.
27:10
SPEAKER_03: Ryo gets up on the table, moves casually and sexy towards Beth.
27:15
SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna throw that in there every time I can.
27:22
SPEAKER_00: But that slow walk is sexy already.
27:24
SPEAKER_00: Very sexy.
27:26
SPEAKER_03: He's he's an entrepreneur, a CEO.
27:58
SPEAKER_03: A little dangerous.
27:59
SPEAKER_00: And and even like a little uh, you know, therapist action here.
28:03
SPEAKER_00: Because anyway he walks up to her, he you know, he's like, I know it's okay.
28:07
SPEAKER_00: I know it's hard.
28:08
SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, do you know I kind of melted at that moment?
28:11
SPEAKER_00: I was just like It's almost like uh you know, if if if you excuse a little bit the context of the situation, it's almost like look at how caring he is.
28:23
SPEAKER_00: You know, about to murder.
28:25
SPEAKER_00: He's the full package.
28:28
SPEAKER_03: I'm going straight to hell.
28:30
SPEAKER_03: So Rio gets up from the table, moves towards Beth, and he takes a gun away.
28:35
SPEAKER_03: He moves her hair to the side, and then as Lisa said, just gave her that little pet to.
28:42
SPEAKER_03: It's okay.
28:42
SPEAKER_03: It's you know, it's wait, don't forget the the chin caress.
28:47
SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah.
28:49
SPEAKER_03: I got shivers when I saw that.
28:51
SPEAKER_03: I just um Beth actually looks like I can breathe and kind of was like my hero at the same time.
29:00
SPEAKER_03: Like it was the I can see how Stockholm syndrome can happen because oh, thank you, my hero.
29:08
SPEAKER_03: Thank you for giving me the option to choose between shooting you and my husband, you know?
29:15
SPEAKER_03: And of course, reality hits because these Dean, you hear Dean like sniffling because it's like blood down his face, it's coming down his face.
29:23
SPEAKER_03: I'm sure there's blood going down his sinuses and his throat.
29:25
SPEAKER_03: I can't be, yeah.
29:27
SPEAKER_03: And that's when he's just I think Dean realized it's it's it's lost.
29:31
SPEAKER_03: I think that was the moment Dean was just like, the fuck just happened here.
29:36
SPEAKER_03: It was like a fucking Hallmark moment.
29:38
SPEAKER_03: You know, if Hallmark met the next 48 hours.
29:42
SPEAKER_03: It was and then of course, in typical real fashion, he turns quickly and shoots Dean.
29:49
SPEAKER_03: And then he goes, We're good, darling.
29:51
SPEAKER_04: Then it's like, okay.
29:56
SPEAKER_03: Okay.
29:57
SPEAKER_03: I think she got off easy.
30:01
SPEAKER_03: She most certainly did.
30:02
SPEAKER_03: Dean did not.
30:04
SPEAKER_03: But he could have shot her.
30:06
SPEAKER_00: She got off, he could have shot her.
30:08
SPEAKER_00: So he could have actually killed Dean.
30:11
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, he got off right.
30:13
SPEAKER_03: So he she got off easy.
30:14
SPEAKER_03: I think the other options were a lot worse than this.
30:17
SPEAKER_03: So she did get off easy.
30:20
SPEAKER_03: So she's in the hospital waiting room with Ruby and Annie.
30:29
SPEAKER_03: Thank you.
30:29
SPEAKER_03: I was gonna call her Sadie.
30:34
SPEAKER_00: Sadie's mama.
30:35
SPEAKER_03: Sadie's mama.
30:37
SPEAKER_03: To be fair, after a while, we don't have our own identities anyway.
30:41
SPEAKER_03: So there's that.
30:43
SPEAKER_03: And it's like fast action.
30:44
SPEAKER_03: Everyone's doing, you know, moving, doing their thing, and Beth is just sitting there stationary.
30:50
SPEAKER_03: And it seems like it's 10 years later.
30:53
SPEAKER_00: She's sitting there static.
30:54
SPEAKER_00: She's a static image.
30:56
SPEAKER_03: She's a static image.
30:57
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
30:59
SPEAKER_03: I'm sorry.
31:01
SPEAKER_03: Cut water is so much better.
31:04
SPEAKER_00: Come here and bring me some.
31:05
SPEAKER_03: I will.
31:06
SPEAKER_03: Okay.
31:07
SPEAKER_03: But it's like each one, and it's like alcoholic seltzer, but it has like 12.5 to 14% alcohol, depending on which drink you get.
31:17
SPEAKER_03: That's a regular I think regular mixed drinks at the bar have a little bit less than that.
31:22
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I don't know.
31:24
SPEAKER_03: It's good.
31:24
SPEAKER_03: Could be.
31:25
SPEAKER_04: It's good.
31:26
SPEAKER_04: Okay.
31:27
SPEAKER_03: Okay.
31:27
SPEAKER_03: Finally, the silence is broken.
31:29
SPEAKER_03: Riubi notices Annie's eating the fruit cup.
31:32
SPEAKER_03: That she's still off a card.
31:36
SPEAKER_03: Appalled that her friend was steal from patients.
31:40
SPEAKER_03: She goes, You stealing from a patient.
31:42
SPEAKER_03: She goes, the cafeteria was closed.
31:46
SPEAKER_03: But that was for a sick person.
31:48
SPEAKER_03: What part of the cafeteria was closed did you not get?
31:54
SPEAKER_03: And I get that.
31:55
SPEAKER_03: I've been tempted.
31:57
SPEAKER_03: Sometimes I'm like, little fucking tray of food there.
32:03
SPEAKER_03: And that's that insane conversation snaps Beth out of her little, what would you call it?
32:11
SPEAKER_00: It's almost like a trance.
32:12
SPEAKER_03: Her trans?
32:13
SPEAKER_03: That's a good word.
32:14
SPEAKER_03: Thank you.
32:14
SPEAKER_03: Good word, Lisa.
32:16
SPEAKER_03: You get brownie points today.
32:18
SPEAKER_00: Do you want a psychological term?
32:20
SPEAKER_03: No.
32:20
SPEAKER_03: Okay.
32:21
SPEAKER_03: No.
32:22
SPEAKER_00: Like in a fugue state?
32:24
SPEAKER_03: Okay, I I like that.
32:26
SPEAKER_03: I like that.
32:28
SPEAKER_03: Not only because I like I like it.
32:30
SPEAKER_03: It's a word that I would have used too if I wasn't fucked.
32:34
SPEAKER_03: Um, but yes.
32:35
SPEAKER_00: And yet I managed to remember it.
32:39
SPEAKER_03: Because you're Lisa.
32:41
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, practically a doctor.
32:43
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, practically a doctor.
32:44
SPEAKER_00: And a lawyer.
32:45
SPEAKER_00: And an Indian chief?
32:47
SPEAKER_00: No, because I watched the People's Court.
32:50
SPEAKER_03: That's me.
32:50
SPEAKER_03: I'm a doctor's lawyer, Indian chief.
32:52
SPEAKER_00: Oh.
32:53
SPEAKER_03: Butcher Baker, beggar thief.
32:55
SPEAKER_03: Okay.
32:56
SPEAKER_00: Candlestick maker?
32:57
SPEAKER_03: That too.
33:03
SPEAKER_03: Everyone's listening to the episode, like I think they're getting fucked up via listening to us.
33:09
SPEAKER_01: Impossible.
33:14
SPEAKER_01: Amazing.
33:16
SPEAKER_01: That was amazing.
33:20
SPEAKER_01: Oh shit, I'm true.
33:24
SPEAKER_04: Best episode ever.
33:31
SPEAKER_00: How many years did I have to talk while you ate and munched on things on mute and I had to watch and no all knowing that I couldn't eat.
33:43
SPEAKER_00: And I'm okay with you doing it.
33:45
SPEAKER_00: I think good.
33:46
SPEAKER_00: Because I plan to.
33:47
SPEAKER_03: You were like 10 episodes behind.
33:49
SPEAKER_03: I expect you to do it the entire first season.
33:51
SPEAKER_00: Okay, good.
33:53
SPEAKER_00: Cheers.
33:53
SPEAKER_00: Here's my potato chip.
33:55
SPEAKER_00: Bye-bye.
33:56
SPEAKER_03: I find it funny that she thinks she's getting me back, but I'm like, okay, go for it.
34:00
SPEAKER_03: Not that much fun when I'm giving you permission, is it?
34:04
SPEAKER_03: She's shaking her hand.
34:05
SPEAKER_00: It is not.
34:10
SPEAKER_01: Sorry.
34:11
SPEAKER_00: But I know you're just saying that.
34:13
SPEAKER_00: Because you know, you're just you're just wielding whatever little power you can by trying to take it away from me.
34:20
SPEAKER_02: Doesn't really bother me, though.
34:22
SPEAKER_00: Okay, it's okay.
34:23
SPEAKER_00: It's okay.
34:23
SPEAKER_00: I'll let you believe that.
34:29
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
34:32
SPEAKER_02: If it makes you feel better, Lisa.
34:34
SPEAKER_02: He goes, it does.
34:37
SPEAKER_03: So she sh snaps out of the trance and she falls into fits of hysteria.
34:45
SPEAKER_03: She won't stop laughing.
34:46
SPEAKER_03: And I get that.
34:48
SPEAKER_03: Um, and people look at her like she's crazy.
34:50
SPEAKER_00: They believe that's grief takes many different forms.
34:53
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
34:54
SPEAKER_03: So that wasn't weird to me, honestly.
34:57
SPEAKER_03: People look at her like she was crazy was weird to me.
35:02
SPEAKER_03: Because anyone experienced grief.
35:04
SPEAKER_03: I'm sorry.
35:05
SPEAKER_03: Maybe I'm just too open-minded.
35:09
SPEAKER_03: Yes.
35:10
SPEAKER_03: Okay, I'm trying to be nice about it.
35:11
SPEAKER_03: But yeah, I'm too educated.
35:13
SPEAKER_03: I know that if I saw someone like laughing hysterically or angry.
35:19
SPEAKER_03: I'd get the fuck out of the way because they're about to snap.
35:21
SPEAKER_03: They're about to snap, but I wouldn't think it was weird.
35:23
SPEAKER_03: They looked at her like she was weird.
35:25
SPEAKER_03: And I'm like, girl, I get it.
35:27
SPEAKER_03: So she's to be playing like everything that's happening as she's laughing.
35:32
SPEAKER_03: I was like, oh, she could be on our podcast because this is what we do.
35:35
SPEAKER_03: We talk about our traumas.
35:36
SPEAKER_03: We laugh hysterically.
35:37
SPEAKER_03: That's amazing.
35:38
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, there you go.
35:41
SPEAKER_00: Way to reach out to new guests.
35:43
SPEAKER_03: Ruby officially asked her, like, are you happy?
35:46
SPEAKER_03: Are you sad?
35:47
SPEAKER_03: Like, what do we do here?
35:49
SPEAKER_03: And before she could figure out which one she is, I don't think she honestly feels, I don't think she knows which one she is.
35:56
SPEAKER_03: And when the doctor comes, Ruby goes, She's just really sad.
36:02
SPEAKER_03: I guess she just she made the executive decision for her.
36:06
SPEAKER_03: The doctor tells her Dean's gonna be just fine.
36:09
SPEAKER_03: You know, she had a lot of surgery, he's gonna be fine.
36:13
SPEAKER_03: And she sits there, like worse off, and Annie's like, yay.
36:20
SPEAKER_03: She's like, My husband's going to kill me.
36:22
SPEAKER_03: Because at that moment, she's like, she realized exactly what transpired, what he's seen, what he feels about everything.
36:28
SPEAKER_03: She's like, I'm dead.
36:30
SPEAKER_00: But she still has the cancer card, the cancer card.
36:34
SPEAKER_00: She hasn't used that yet, has she?
36:36
SPEAKER_00: Right.
36:37
SPEAKER_00: And I wonder if that even influenced her decision, not being able to pull the trigger one way or the other.
36:43
SPEAKER_03: That would totally influence my decision.
36:45
SPEAKER_03: Because that's why she he didn't she didn't get a chance to tell him.
36:48
unknown: Right.
36:48
SPEAKER_03: Because that all happened in the same episode.
36:51
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
36:52
SPEAKER_03: So ah, look at you all smart and fucked up.
36:56
SPEAKER_03: Love it.
36:57
SPEAKER_00: Yep.
36:58
SPEAKER_00: That brain.
37:00
SPEAKER_00: They're parting up there.
37:05
SPEAKER_03: But the Lisa, also known as the Final Frugal.
37:11
SPEAKER_03: Do you remember that that's what I call the store now?
37:13
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you say that every episode.
37:16
SPEAKER_00: And you say, and that's what I call the fine and frugal.
37:19
SPEAKER_03: I just want to make sure, because you know.
37:21
SPEAKER_00: You forget.
37:23
SPEAKER_03: No, I don't forget because I actually say the Lisa, so obviously.
37:26
SPEAKER_00: But I'm saying so you're the one who forgets.
37:29
SPEAKER_00: So if you don't need to be reminded, I don't need to be reminded.
37:33
SPEAKER_03: Oh, I'm the one who forgets, period, in general.
37:36
SPEAKER_03: Right.
37:37
SPEAKER_03: Okay.
37:38
SPEAKER_03: You just like you remembered the 600 times I told you about the show.
37:42
SPEAKER_00: I forgot one thing a few times.
37:44
SPEAKER_00: But like 600 times.
37:46
SPEAKER_00: Whatever.
37:49
SPEAKER_03: There's an IL conjured off, like with police tape.
37:54
SPEAKER_03: Fucking asshole.
37:56
SPEAKER_03: Boomer has.
37:58
SPEAKER_03: I'm so sorry.
37:59
SPEAKER_03: He does.
38:00
SPEAKER_03: He's like the low, but he's the wish version of David Caruso, and he's not even the wish.
38:11
SPEAKER_02: He aspires to be the wish version of David Caruso.
38:14
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
38:18
SPEAKER_03: So he's he's sitting Tyler like going through the nasty.
38:22
SPEAKER_03: That was the worst.
38:24
SPEAKER_03: That was worse for me than the blood on the mug.
38:26
SPEAKER_03: Yes.
38:26
SPEAKER_03: And I wouldn't just die.
38:28
SPEAKER_00: Uh-uh.
38:28
SPEAKER_00: No.
38:29
SPEAKER_00: I was like, yeah, kill me.
38:32
SPEAKER_00: When I worked at Starbucks, we had an employee who I'm not gonna say anything, but he was the kind of person who would get down on his belly on the floor at the end of the night to like scrape shit from underneath the cabinets.
38:53
SPEAKER_00: With gloves on at least?
38:55
SPEAKER_00: I don't I don't remember, but remember they were like plastic gloves.
39:00
SPEAKER_00: They were, you know, like the to get the page.
39:02
SPEAKER_00: It wasn't like so even if he had it was No, he he just and you don't have to do it that way.
39:10
SPEAKER_00: No, no, no, no.
39:11
SPEAKER_00: I I mean there's also a guy who sometimes stood out in the middle of the street and yelled at cars.
39:18
SPEAKER_00: This was invisible people.
39:20
SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah, he was very helpful, but but like some people kind of like that nasty shit.
39:28
SPEAKER_00: Like I worked with one who was like that.
39:30
SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
39:31
SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
39:32
SPEAKER_00: Not my thing.
39:34
SPEAKER_00: But yeah.
39:36
SPEAKER_00: Okay, great.
39:37
SPEAKER_03: I wait, I gotta take it with a sip.
39:40
SPEAKER_03: I I have to disinfect my brain with alcohol.
39:45
SPEAKER_00: The more you know and all.
39:47
SPEAKER_03: As he's going through things, Boomer wants Tyler to what is it?
39:51
SPEAKER_03: Bag it and tag it.
39:53
SPEAKER_03: The fuck, Boomer?
39:54
SPEAKER_03: Now he's watched way too much TV.
39:58
SPEAKER_00: So so we know that the town gets TV.
40:01
SPEAKER_00: Right.
40:01
SPEAKER_00: It just seems as though Beth, Annie, and Ruby don't watch it.
40:05
SPEAKER_00: Oh, they don't watch what they supposed to.
40:06
SPEAKER_00: Well, they do Although they do reference, okay.
40:10
SPEAKER_00: So they so that they know that these shows exist.
40:12
SPEAKER_00: They do reference it.
40:13
SPEAKER_00: You watched it enough to know how samples go to labs, but yet you don't watch it enough to know that you don't put a pen cap in your mouth.
40:24
SPEAKER_00: You don't watch it enough to know you don't try try to take the gang leader down on that bullshit.
40:30
SPEAKER_00: Like girls get back behind the TV, you have some more research to do.
40:36
SPEAKER_03: Sit down and watch TV now.
40:38
SPEAKER_00: That's why our generation's so smart.
40:42
SPEAKER_03: Seriously.
40:43
SPEAKER_03: We had Big Bird and The Street.
40:46
SPEAKER_00: And we had the street The Wire, Sesame Street, Mr.
40:50
SPEAKER_03: Rogers, Reading Rainbow, and then actually and then we grew up.
40:56
SPEAKER_00: We had a little bit hippie, a little bit hood, educated gangsters.
41:00
SPEAKER_00: The wire and white peeny blue.
41:02
SPEAKER_00: Like we had I know, but we got them skills early.
41:06
SPEAKER_00: So all you needed was Sesame Street and the street.
41:10
SPEAKER_03: Both streets.
41:11
SPEAKER_03: What what?
41:12
SPEAKER_00: Hello, Sesame Street is southern New York City.
41:14
SPEAKER_00: They knew.
41:16
SPEAKER_00: It's all about the street.
41:28
SPEAKER_03: I'm sorry, I'm too bad we can't do video today.
41:32
SPEAKER_00: As he's um static is empty.
41:38
SPEAKER_00: Fresh out of static.
41:39
SPEAKER_02: The TV turned off.
41:41
SPEAKER_00: Anybody got a balloon?
41:49
SPEAKER_03: So as Boomer's making Tyler into a mini CSI, he also knows, he tells, he lets Tyler know that he knows he sold out.
42:00
SPEAKER_03: So with his evidence bag in hand, Boomer.
42:06
SPEAKER_03: Wait, I'm sorry.
42:08
SPEAKER_03: Boomer.
42:10
SPEAKER_03: Is that how you said it?
42:12
SPEAKER_03: With a little emphasis on boomer.
42:14
SPEAKER_03: Is that right?
42:15
SPEAKER_00: I think so.
42:15
SPEAKER_03: Okay, we think so.
42:21
SPEAKER_02: You remember when I do stupid shit 20 years ago?
42:27
SPEAKER_03: She's like, because it's stupid shit, it's memorable.
42:33
SPEAKER_03: Um, boomer decides to intrude on the personal life of FBI agent, um his door.
42:43
SPEAKER_00: And you know what he had right here?
42:46
SPEAKER_00: Some fucking audacity.
42:47
SPEAKER_03: They always have the audacity.
42:49
SPEAKER_00: That's the only thing they have.
42:50
SPEAKER_00: Like you really went to this fucking cop's house.
42:54
SPEAKER_00: FBI agent, whatever.
42:58
SPEAKER_00: The fuck are you doing?
42:59
SPEAKER_00: Oh, you got you got a roommate?
43:01
unknown: Right.
43:02
SPEAKER_00: Why the fucking business?
43:03
SPEAKER_03: Okay, so this is funny because while it's a parent to everyone else, Jimmy's with his boot thing.
43:11
SPEAKER_03: He's he's hanging out with his boot thing, and Boom just like, oh.
43:19
SPEAKER_03: So he is so excited at what he did.
43:21
SPEAKER_03: He's like the cat that brings home the dead bird.
43:24
SPEAKER_03: Like, look what I did, mom.
43:26
SPEAKER_03: He walks into his man's house and he goes, No, he doesn't walk in, but I feel like he would have.
43:31
SPEAKER_03: Did he walk in?
43:35
SPEAKER_00: Sorry.
43:36
SPEAKER_00: I think he grabbed him and put him up against the wall, but like right into the side.
43:42
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
43:43
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
43:44
SPEAKER_03: But he goes, he goes, wrap up the team ASAP.
43:49
SPEAKER_03: Like he has some kind of junior.
43:52
SPEAKER_02: He's like a I think the badges that the cops give like the kids at like events have more power than Boomer does.
44:01
SPEAKER_02: Uh-huh.
44:02
SPEAKER_03: And he gives him his um bag, his ziploc bag of his evidence.
44:08
SPEAKER_03: Of course, now this is when the detec the detective, the agent, Jimmy, apparently his name is Jimmy.
44:14
SPEAKER_03: I did not know this.
44:17
SPEAKER_03: Puts him against the wall by the throat and warms him never to come back again and kicks him out.
44:24
unknown: But
44:25
SPEAKER_03: She looks through the folder that Beth left for him at the grocery store, and that makes something click.
44:31
SPEAKER_03: And he goes back to the garbage of the evidence.
44:35
SPEAKER_03: I say evidence quite loosely.
44:37
SPEAKER_00: Well, I mean it was a ziploc bag with the word evidence written upon it.
44:42
SPEAKER_00: So clearly it must be evidence.
44:44
SPEAKER_00: It's very important.
44:46
SPEAKER_03: It's very official.
44:47
SPEAKER_03: Now this goes back and forth.
44:49
SPEAKER_03: The next scenes go back and forth.
44:50
SPEAKER_03: So if you're like me, it's kind of less like watching table tennis a little bit in my head.
44:59
SPEAKER_03: So the next scenes unfold back and forth between Ruby and Stan's house and Beth's.
45:04
SPEAKER_03: With the former kicking off at Stan and Wives' home to hear Sarah, who's home for the hospital.
45:10
SPEAKER_03: And then her brother made her a sign.
45:11
SPEAKER_03: And it started off, Welcome Home, Welcome Ho.
45:15
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he got tired.
45:18
SPEAKER_00: Welcome ho.
45:20
SPEAKER_03: If it was my brother, it would be done intentionally.
45:23
SPEAKER_03: And I probably would appreciate it because I know it's out of love.
45:26
SPEAKER_03: So Sarah's asking Ruby, how did Uncle Dean get shot?
45:30
SPEAKER_03: Just as fucking Stan's walking in.
45:32
SPEAKER_03: I'm like, really?
45:34
SPEAKER_03: Really?
45:34
SPEAKER_03: Couldn't I have better timing than this?
45:37
SPEAKER_03: So Ruby's able to brush her off with um, and Stan helps her with, you know, the bullshit.
45:45
SPEAKER_03: And um it's kind of a beautiful moment because Ruby has like this slight sliver of hope that maybe it'll get better.
45:53
SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
45:54
SPEAKER_03: Beth's kids are asking the same question, like the fuck, how did I get shot?
45:59
SPEAKER_03: And she goes, Oh, what is this?
46:01
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, robbed?
46:02
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
46:03
SPEAKER_03: And he goes, What do you mean?
46:04
SPEAKER_03: How did he get robbed?
46:05
SPEAKER_03: She goes, Oh, that happens all the time.
46:06
SPEAKER_03: And he goes, Wait, that happens all the time?
46:09
SPEAKER_03: And she goes, Well, not all the time.
46:10
SPEAKER_03: And she's like, fuck.
46:12
SPEAKER_03: So the doorbell rings because they ordered pizza.
46:15
SPEAKER_03: And she gets the oldest, I can't remember his name now, the money.
46:19
SPEAKER_03: And he and she looks, I think it's at the same time where she says, Well, not all the time, and the doorbell rings, and she's like, Yeah, I guess I'll go get the door then, right?
46:31
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because they're like, Well, what if it's a you know a bad guy?
46:34
SPEAKER_00: She's like, because they don't bring doorbells.
46:37
SPEAKER_03: And that's what it was.
46:38
SPEAKER_03: And then yeah, and then we all kind of flip through.
46:40
SPEAKER_03: Well, yeah, some of them do.
46:44
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
46:46
SPEAKER_03: She opens the door, and it's worse.
46:48
SPEAKER_03: It's worse than a bad guy, Lisa.
46:50
SPEAKER_03: It's a fucking good guy.
46:52
SPEAKER_00: I know.
46:54
SPEAKER_00: Because in this sense, a good guy is worse than a bad guy.
46:56
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, the only thing worse than a bad guy with a gun is a good one.
46:59
SPEAKER_00: Good guy with a gun.
47:01
SPEAKER_00: Something like that, right?
47:02
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, something shit like that.
47:06
SPEAKER_03: So, yeah, of course, he's not there to see how her week is going.
47:09
SPEAKER_03: He's not there to say, hi, how's it going?
47:11
SPEAKER_03: He tells her forensics.
47:13
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, forensics.
47:16
SPEAKER_03: How is that even honestly?
47:18
SPEAKER_03: That shouldn't even be allowed as evidence.
47:21
SPEAKER_00: What do you mean?
47:22
SPEAKER_03: The evidence is the pin cap.
47:25
SPEAKER_00: Right.
47:26
SPEAKER_00: They didn't find it.
47:28
SPEAKER_03: Boomer did.
47:29
SPEAKER_03: That shouldn't be allowed.
47:30
SPEAKER_03: This the chain of custody.
47:31
SPEAKER_00: Well, I think that a lawyer can, you know, a a defense lawyer can get it tossed.
47:38
SPEAKER_03: But you have to go all you have to go through all.
47:39
SPEAKER_03: But you know what?
47:40
SPEAKER_03: If you found a lawyer right then, I mean, either way, he already thinks they did it.
47:43
SPEAKER_03: He knows they he knows they're involved.
47:45
SPEAKER_03: So what point, what's the problem?
47:47
SPEAKER_03: I mean, obviously, they don't know that Bloomer found.
47:49
SPEAKER_00: Okay, here's the problem.
47:51
SPEAKER_03: They don't know that Boomer found it.
47:52
SPEAKER_00: I well, um I'm practically a lawyer because I watched the people's court.
47:57
SPEAKER_00: So let me tell you right now what how you're gonna get that dismissed.
48:02
SPEAKER_00: Number one It wouldn't even get dismissed, it'll be before they even they wouldn't have to go to court.
48:06
SPEAKER_00: Right, it wouldn't it it would get cost because Beth's sister works at that store.
48:14
SPEAKER_00: So even if you determined that that ink was specifically from a Sharpie that Beth owned, which I mean you still can, right?
48:30
SPEAKER_00: But even if that's her like her saliva, it's so easy to say she comes into this store all the time.
48:41
SPEAKER_00: Of course, she could have dropped it.
48:42
SPEAKER_00: Her sister works at the store, her sister could have had a pen, you know, from her sister and and lost it at the store.
48:50
SPEAKER_00: Like checking off your shopping list house.
48:52
SPEAKER_00: Right.
48:53
SPEAKER_00: Also there's chain of custody issues.
48:58
SPEAKER_00: It's just because Boomer says that this is where it comes from, you kiss the evidence from a random guy.
49:08
SPEAKER_03: Right.
49:08
SPEAKER_00: So it would never it would never be allowed in.
49:12
SPEAKER_03: And I think he would I think he knows that.
49:15
SPEAKER_03: And I think he's using that for the to trick them into making a mistake.
49:20
SPEAKER_00: Well, I think that also it's more so for him.
49:25
SPEAKER_00: Okay, well, if if if it matches, then I at least I know.
49:31
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
49:33
SPEAKER_00: And and also maybe I can utilize this, even though it will get thrown out in a court of law, doesn't mean that they know that.
49:43
SPEAKER_00: Right.
49:44
SPEAKER_03: That's saying they don't know that Boomer found it.
49:46
SPEAKER_03: Right.
49:46
SPEAKER_03: They think it's real evidence.
49:48
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
49:48
SPEAKER_03: Although to that point, I'll say and we get a little bit later to the end.
49:54
SPEAKER_03: So Jimmy tells her that forensics, Boomer, found a pen cap in the store.
50:00
SPEAKER_03: When Beth asks what kind of pen, he explains.
50:03
SPEAKER_03: It's like, why would she even ask?
50:05
SPEAKER_03: She should have been like, alright, and so, but that's just my opinion.
50:09
SPEAKER_03: So she asks, and he says, the kind of that matches the ink or the envelope that he knows she left for the fits.
50:15
SPEAKER_03: There's no way to match a pen top to the pen.
50:19
SPEAKER_03: To the pen and the ink, like anyway, I think they could have left the the they could have let this shit ride and it just would have gone out to nothing because they couldn't do anything with it.
50:30
SPEAKER_03: So she's not giving it to his line of questioning, although she kinda is, but that's just my opinion.
50:36
SPEAKER_03: She feigns innocence until Jimmy tells her, well, there's lipstick on the cap, and he needs her DNA.
50:43
SPEAKER_03: Once again, like our lawyer here, Lisa says, she shops there.
50:48
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so what?
50:49
SPEAKER_03: I had a pen.
50:49
SPEAKER_03: I was checking off my check.
50:53
SPEAKER_03: Bullshit.
50:54
SPEAKER_03: But even then, they couldn't even get that far for her to even tell them that story because the pen top would not be allowed into everything.
51:00
SPEAKER_03: It would not be admissible.
51:01
SPEAKER_00: That's the word I couldn't think of.
51:03
SPEAKER_00: Didn't you say admissible?
51:05
SPEAKER_00: Did I?
51:06
SPEAKER_00: You did.
51:06
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
51:07
SPEAKER_03: That's how good you are, Lisa.
51:09
SPEAKER_03: We didn't even know you're doing it.
51:12
SPEAKER_00: Thank you, Judge Million.
51:15
SPEAKER_03: So she drops the L word.
51:18
SPEAKER_03: Not like the TV show though.
51:20
SPEAKER_00: Lawyer.
51:21
SPEAKER_00: Oh, I was like, what L word?
51:25
SPEAKER_03: Lisa?
51:26
SPEAKER_03: She dropped Lisa.
51:29
SPEAKER_03: But she kicks them out.
51:30
SPEAKER_03: Now we're going back to Rubistan.
51:33
SPEAKER_03: Rubistan.
51:34
SPEAKER_03: Ruby's and Stans.
51:35
SPEAKER_03: Rubistan.
51:36
SPEAKER_00: I'll be like, where's Rubistan on the globe?
51:41
SPEAKER_00: Does it have palm trees and blue seas?
51:46
SPEAKER_00: It doesn't.
51:47
SPEAKER_00: Do they have Wi-Fi?
51:48
SPEAKER_03: Yes.
51:49
SPEAKER_03: If you want it to, it absolutely can.
51:52
SPEAKER_03: Okay.
51:52
SPEAKER_03: Doesn't make sense.
51:53
SPEAKER_03: So get whatever you want.
51:54
SPEAKER_03: Okay.
51:55
SPEAKER_03: Back at Ruby Stance.
51:56
SPEAKER_03: Ruby Stance.
51:58
SPEAKER_03: Ruby Stance.
51:59
SPEAKER_03: Ruby Stance.
52:02
SPEAKER_03: Stan tells her, okay, you need to turn yourself in.
52:06
SPEAKER_03: Tell them everything.
52:07
SPEAKER_03: First one in gets the best deal.
52:10
SPEAKER_03: And she's like, but Beth, you know, is in her wedding and you know, we're like sisters, whatever, the whole emotional shit.
52:19
SPEAKER_03: He goes, You made this bed and you made it so well.
52:23
SPEAKER_03: She goes, You can you even got pillows.
52:27
SPEAKER_00: You got throws, you got duvet.
52:30
SPEAKER_00: He made that shit.
52:31
SPEAKER_03: It looks like a slave bed.
52:36
SPEAKER_00: They always look comfy.
52:37
SPEAKER_03: They're not.
52:39
SPEAKER_03: And he said, You got into this for us, get out of it for us.
52:44
SPEAKER_03: And I was just like, damn, that's deep.
52:46
SPEAKER_03: He's not wrong.
52:47
SPEAKER_03: I mean, you know, coming from so Beth brings the girls up to speed on the latest little wrinkle, nothing major of the aftermath of their last heist.
53:01
SPEAKER_03: And they ask Ruby, what does Stan do?
53:05
SPEAKER_03: And it's clear that Ruby has made a decision to roll her friend.
53:08
SPEAKER_03: So she's a little like not Ruby.
53:12
SPEAKER_03: And she's like, um, nothing.
53:15
SPEAKER_03: They didn't say anything, you know.
53:17
SPEAKER_03: And of course, because they're gonna rub salt into the wound unknowingly.
53:23
SPEAKER_03: Annie goes, Oh, here, I got some movies for uh Sarah to while she watched while she recovers, and here comes back.
53:30
SPEAKER_03: Oh yeah, I made her a quilt with all of the hand-me-down baby clothes that you gave me.
53:36
SPEAKER_03: And then there's her books, favorite quotes, and Oh yeah, and as if that wasn't enough.
53:41
SPEAKER_00: I stitched her favorite quotes.
53:43
SPEAKER_03: It's literally four times, right?
53:45
SPEAKER_03: Right.
53:46
SPEAKER_03: And then Ruby's like, oh my god, it's so it's just too much.
53:50
SPEAKER_03: Because you know she's feeling the the pangs of guilt.
53:54
SPEAKER_03: And then Beth goes, Well, it's not a 'cause the kidney.
53:57
SPEAKER_03: But Annie goes, but we would have done that too.
54:00
SPEAKER_03: And they totally would have.
54:01
SPEAKER_03: And that I think broke that broke Ruby even more so.
54:05
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
54:06
SPEAKER_03: Because you see her sitting outside the police station and she's about to go in, and then she looks at the passenger seat, and there's the quilt in the movies.
54:14
SPEAKER_03: There is a quote on the quilt.
54:20
SPEAKER_03: Quilt, quote, sorry.
54:23
SPEAKER_03: And it says, Words have it's from Shonda Rhines.
54:28
SPEAKER_03: Like, I love you.
54:30
SPEAKER_03: Words have power, TV has power, my pen has power.
54:36
SPEAKER_03: I just thought it was kind of fitting, unless, like, you know, it's a TV show, the pen top, you know what I mean?
54:42
SPEAKER_03: In the at the moment.
54:44
SPEAKER_03: Uh-huh.
54:45
SPEAKER_03: So it's just like, okay, I see what you did there.
54:48
SPEAKER_03: I don't know who wrote this show, but I see you.
54:50
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
54:51
SPEAKER_03: I see you.
54:52
SPEAKER_03: That was a good catch.
54:53
SPEAKER_03: So she's about to go inside and she sees the evidence, testing, evidence span.
55:02
SPEAKER_03: And then you can see that the light goes off.
55:04
SPEAKER_03: Like she's a if they could, the little light bulb on her head went bing.
55:09
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
55:10
SPEAKER_03: So this is the plan.
55:12
SPEAKER_03: Ruby's plan, she wants the girls to tell the van and take the evidence out the van.
55:18
SPEAKER_03: Because this is another heist.
55:20
SPEAKER_03: Like I said earlier in this episode, it's never the crime, it's the fucking cover-up.
55:26
SPEAKER_03: Because it's not one thing, it's a fucking other.
55:28
SPEAKER_03: But if that wasn't the case, the show would have been over many, many episodes ago.
55:33
SPEAKER_03: Yep.
55:36
SPEAKER_03: So Beth wonders well, how do we know if the pen cap has been sent off already?
55:41
SPEAKER_03: And this starts kicking off a huge, another whole.
55:45
SPEAKER_03: I love their discussions.
55:48
SPEAKER_03: Because this is where they actually use their resources and their TV expertise about TV procedurals.
55:55
SPEAKER_03: Um, because CSI and SVU depends on what happens.
56:00
SPEAKER_03: Ruby's like, no, they're not going to do it until after you turn in your sample.
56:05
SPEAKER_03: And then Annie's like, well, don't CSI just run it at the lab, right then and there.
56:11
SPEAKER_03: She's like, we don't have a lab.
56:14
SPEAKER_03: She's like, no.
56:16
SPEAKER_03: She goes, Oh, I can just like thought you got to own the bus and cut myself a sweet deal.
56:22
SPEAKER_03: And they're like, yeah, okay.
56:24
SPEAKER_00: Um I thought I thought that that was kind of like on one hand it was funny, like on face value.
56:31
SPEAKER_00: Because they're like, right.
56:33
SPEAKER_00: Like in that fucked up way that only friends could do to each other.
56:38
SPEAKER_00: But then I was like, but Ruby didn't seem like laughing at the end.
56:46
SPEAKER_03: So then I I took it as like like Ruby didn't have to be like, they don't do what she was going to.
56:50
SPEAKER_00: Like they they like take her for granted almost.
56:55
SPEAKER_00: Because like they they're sisters.
56:58
SPEAKER_00: So it's like uh you know, they're they're kind of one.
57:06
SPEAKER_03: I'm pretty sure if they didn't go with this, she was going to throw them under the bus.
57:12
SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
57:13
SPEAKER_03: Um I think I took it as that's her warning.
57:17
SPEAKER_03: Like, like, ha ha ha.
57:20
SPEAKER_03: Get your shit together.
57:22
SPEAKER_03: And they at the end they decide, yeah, we do it because Annie goes, Well, you know, SUV has been out longer.
57:28
SPEAKER_03: Because so obviously Ruby's right because that's what would happen with SUV.
57:35
SPEAKER_02: That's how I took her comment.
57:37
SPEAKER_02: S V U.
57:39
SPEAKER_02: S V U.
57:39
SPEAKER_02: I said S U V.
57:43
SPEAKER_02: S U V, S V U.
57:44
SPEAKER_02: Oh, that's funny.
57:46
SPEAKER_02: You know.
57:47
SPEAKER_03: Oh, that's hysterical.
57:49
SPEAKER_03: So they start doing their uh surveillance and taking notes on when he leaves, when he comes back, when he goes, and what Starbucks run.
57:58
SPEAKER_03: Starbucks run.
58:00
SPEAKER_03: Can't Annie at this point, she she didn't have a pen that worked.
58:04
SPEAKER_03: Should she lose her lipstick?
58:06
SPEAKER_03: And after she does, she looks impressed by it.
58:08
SPEAKER_03: She's like, hmm.
58:09
SPEAKER_03: I know.
58:09
SPEAKER_03: I couldn't understand shit.
58:11
SPEAKER_03: No, but she obviously could, and she was impressed by it.
58:15
SPEAKER_00: At least somebody was that special.
58:17
SPEAKER_03: So the night before, I don't know what to call this.
58:22
SPEAKER_03: Pan cap gate?
58:24
SPEAKER_00: What okay.
58:26
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
58:26
SPEAKER_03: Oh the cape or the pen capper?
58:28
SPEAKER_03: Pen caper?
58:30
SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
58:32
SPEAKER_03: Like a caper.
58:33
SPEAKER_03: The cat I don't know.
58:36
SPEAKER_03: Annie, what is what did they call Greg again?
58:39
SPEAKER_03: Greggles?
58:40
SPEAKER_03: Greggles.
58:41
SPEAKER_03: Annie and Greggles almost get caught by Sadie.
58:45
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
58:46
SPEAKER_03: That's embarrassing.
58:48
SPEAKER_03: That should have been your I mean, if nothing else in this world convinces you to stop it, the fact you need to stop.
58:55
SPEAKER_03: That would have made me like, that's it, I'm done.
58:58
SPEAKER_03: Being almost being caught by my kid.
59:00
SPEAKER_03: I would have just like lost, like my vagina would have sealed up for life.
59:04
SPEAKER_03: But before Sadie almost caught them, Greg goes and goes, I'm leaving Nancy for you.
59:10
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
59:11
SPEAKER_03: What the fuck?
59:12
SPEAKER_03: I didn't think she was just like, no, it's a bad idea.
59:15
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
59:16
SPEAKER_03: If Annie's telling you this is a bad idea, it's a really bad idea.
59:22
SPEAKER_03: That was never gonna work.
59:24
SPEAKER_00: And and and also, can we also talk about like for a second, or at least acknowledge, if Regles is not happy with Nancy, while it's not ideal, considering what we know, he can just not be with her.
59:42
SPEAKER_00: He doesn't have to not be with her and be with someone else.
59:46
SPEAKER_03: And the reason he doesn't want to be with her is bullshit, it's too hard.
59:51
SPEAKER_03: It's what it boils down to.
59:52
SPEAKER_00: But but let's let's just say that.
59:54
SPEAKER_00: He needs not mess with marriage.
59:55
SPEAKER_03: He needs to be he needs to leave them alone so they can go on with their lives.
1:00:00
SPEAKER_00: It if you are only staying with someone, not because you're happy, but because you're you don't have someone else to hop on to, maybe the problem is you.
1:00:11
SPEAKER_00: It's you.
1:00:12
SPEAKER_00: Greggles, you're the problem.
1:00:14
SPEAKER_00: And also, like, that's really selfish because that's not being fair to the women who get involved with you simply because well, you need a place to live or you can't be alone.
1:00:25
SPEAKER_00: Like, that's the appearance that it gives.
1:00:27
SPEAKER_00: Like, I'll leave her for you.
1:00:29
SPEAKER_00: You could just leave her for you, buddy.
1:00:31
SPEAKER_00: If you're really not happy, you know what I mean?
1:00:35
SPEAKER_00: Like, that's not gonna be a good place for that kid to grow up.
1:00:38
SPEAKER_03: He's a sucky person.
1:00:41
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's just my four and a half cents.
1:00:44
SPEAKER_03: I'll even give you a whole quarter for it, Lisa.
1:00:46
SPEAKER_03: That's how good it is.
1:00:48
SPEAKER_02: Not even a nickel.
1:00:49
SPEAKER_03: Quarter.
1:00:50
SPEAKER_03: Nope, a whole quarter.
1:00:51
SPEAKER_02: Thank you.
1:00:52
SPEAKER_02: Look at you're looking up proud of yourself.
1:00:54
SPEAKER_02: You should.
1:00:55
SPEAKER_02: You really should.
1:00:56
SPEAKER_02: I'm a dime plus fifteen.
1:01:01
SPEAKER_03: And at the what I call it, Ruby Stan.
1:01:04
SPEAKER_03: Uh-huh.
1:01:06
SPEAKER_03: People listening to the show are like, wait, what?
1:01:09
SPEAKER_03: Yes, I'm renaming everything.
1:01:13
SPEAKER_03: A Ruby Stand, Stan is actually pissed at Ruby because she never showed up at the police station.
1:01:18
SPEAKER_03: And he reminds her, you're looking at at least 16 years of missed birthdays.
1:01:23
SPEAKER_03: And she goes, their kids have birthdays too.
1:01:27
SPEAKER_03: Which is true.
1:01:28
SPEAKER_03: But at the same time, I get both of them situations.
1:01:30
SPEAKER_03: Like, I get both situations.
1:01:33
SPEAKER_03: She didn't go into this unknowingly.
1:01:40
SPEAKER_03: You do the crime, you do the time.
1:01:41
SPEAKER_03: I that's but a stand is like, no, I need my I can't.
1:01:46
SPEAKER_03: I can't fuck up, you can't fuck up my family.
1:01:48
SPEAKER_03: You can't fuck up this family.
1:01:49
SPEAKER_03: You need to.
1:01:51
SPEAKER_03: We already have a child that just had surgery.
1:01:54
SPEAKER_03: We can't have, you know, the day of the caper, capper, pen capper.
1:01:59
SPEAKER_03: The pen caper.
1:02:00
SPEAKER_03: Okay.
1:02:01
SPEAKER_03: Any in a bathroom position waiting for the delivery guy to um make his stop at Starbucks, because Starbucks is life.
1:02:08
SPEAKER_03: Fuck what I don't care what anyone has to say about it.
1:02:11
SPEAKER_02: Ruby's inside.
1:02:13
SPEAKER_02: There's two people ahead of the of the guy.
1:02:17
SPEAKER_03: And Ruby becomes that customer with the 600 questions.
1:02:24
SPEAKER_03: Oh, it's just that it's for a reason.
1:02:26
SPEAKER_03: She's trying to hold up the line, and I get it.
1:02:28
SPEAKER_03: But I think we've all had we've all been behind that customer.
1:02:34
SPEAKER_00: I've I've been the one to serve that customer.
1:02:36
SPEAKER_03: You've been the one to serve that customer.
1:02:38
SPEAKER_03: Oh, but what do you got?
1:02:40
SPEAKER_03: T's?
1:02:40
SPEAKER_03: I modern.
1:02:42
SPEAKER_03: I had a custom.
1:02:43
SPEAKER_03: I was behind some lady at the store, and she was grocery shopping.
1:02:48
SPEAKER_03: She got a new card.
1:02:49
SPEAKER_03: She had a pen.
1:02:50
SPEAKER_03: She goes, but it wasn't activated.
1:02:52
SPEAKER_03: It really wasn't.
1:02:53
SPEAKER_03: Because you could see it to she goes, did you call and activate?
1:02:57
SPEAKER_03: She goes, They gave me a pin number.
1:02:58
SPEAKER_03: And the cashier's like, but did you call to activate it?
1:03:01
SPEAKER_03: But I have a pin number.
1:03:03
SPEAKER_03: So she kept trying.
1:03:04
SPEAKER_03: She goes, Let me call my son.
1:03:05
SPEAKER_03: Her son comes in from the parking lot and he's trying to.
1:03:09
SPEAKER_03: She's like, but Ma, you know, I was so aggravated.
1:03:13
SPEAKER_03: Well, she's turning this way.
1:03:14
SPEAKER_03: I swipe my card.
1:03:17
SPEAKER_03: And the cashier was just like, Why are you doing that?
1:03:20
SPEAKER_03: But thank you.
1:03:22
SPEAKER_03: And the lady goes, Oh, look, it went through.
1:03:24
SPEAKER_03: And I was just like, just, and the woman looked at me.
1:03:27
SPEAKER_03: I'm like, just let her get her the fuck out of my face.
1:03:30
SPEAKER_03: Like, I want to go.
1:03:30
SPEAKER_03: It was like 20 minutes.
1:03:32
SPEAKER_03: I'm sitting, like, my stuff is on the belt.
1:03:34
SPEAKER_03: Uh-huh.
1:03:35
SPEAKER_03: I want to fucking go.
1:03:37
SPEAKER_03: Can you imagine standing at the belt for 20 minutes waiting?
1:03:40
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
1:03:42
SPEAKER_03: And I'm talking to the lady.
1:03:44
SPEAKER_03: I'm like, she's gonna get fucked next time she has to use that card.
1:03:47
SPEAKER_03: She's like, yeah, I said, but I don't care.
1:03:48
SPEAKER_03: She goes, even too hard.
1:03:53
SPEAKER_03: But anyway, but so yeah.
1:03:55
SPEAKER_03: So after driving us crazy, she finally places an order and she tries to play with Apple Pay, but she doesn't even have it, so she's trying to download it.
1:04:04
SPEAKER_03: Beth and Annie are breaking into the van and they can't find it.
1:04:10
SPEAKER_03: Um, they see the rape kits.
1:04:12
SPEAKER_03: After the fact, I'm sorry, wait, backtrack.
1:04:17
SPEAKER_03: They can't find it.
1:04:18
SPEAKER_03: Beth remembers, oh, remember when we did that DNA test and we had to keep refrigerator or it's going to like down.
1:04:26
SPEAKER_03: What's the word I'm looking for?
1:04:27
SPEAKER_03: Not degraded.
1:04:28
SPEAKER_03: Degrade.
1:04:29
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
1:04:29
SPEAKER_03: It was gonna degrade.
1:04:30
SPEAKER_03: They're like, okay, fine, let's try to find the air conditioning unit.
1:04:33
SPEAKER_03: So they're looking for it, they're about to unplug it when Annie sees a whole section of rape kits.
1:04:39
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
1:04:39
SPEAKER_03: And they're like, yeah, we can't do that.
1:04:42
SPEAKER_03: So it's failed.
1:04:46
SPEAKER_03: So despite their failed mission, Beth invites Jimmy.
1:04:49
SPEAKER_03: Who knew his name was Jimmy?
1:04:50
SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
1:04:50
SPEAKER_03: Anyway.
1:04:52
SPEAKER_00: Um for a didn't Boomer say Jimmy, like something like that.
1:04:56
SPEAKER_03: But I don't understand anything Boomer says.
1:04:58
SPEAKER_03: So there's that.
1:04:59
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
1:05:00
SPEAKER_03: She invites Jimmy over for the yet-to-be-revealed reason.
1:05:05
SPEAKER_03: Like, we don't know.
1:05:06
SPEAKER_02: So he's drinking milk from her I'd rather be crafting mug.
1:05:10
SPEAKER_02: Did you catch that?
1:05:11
SPEAKER_02: I didn't.
1:05:14
SPEAKER_03: I was like, yeah, then you deserve that.
1:05:16
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
1:05:18
SPEAKER_03: And he compliments her cake, and they do the banter over cakes and strudels and cobblers.
1:05:23
SPEAKER_00: And but uh buckle and buckle, right.
1:05:28
SPEAKER_00: And all I know is that then I want a cake.
1:05:30
SPEAKER_03: I think to she doesn't explicitly admit to the crime, but she does wind up apologizing.
1:05:36
SPEAKER_03: And Jamie replies, My mom used to say, sorry, don't cut it.
1:05:44
SPEAKER_03: I think he could have come up with a better mama-ism, but that's okay.
1:05:47
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
1:05:48
SPEAKER_03: Surprisingly, she asks him, just let this one go.
1:05:52
SPEAKER_03: Like, who does that?
1:05:53
SPEAKER_03: Who asked the FBI to just let it go?
1:05:54
SPEAKER_03: What the fuck?
1:05:55
SPEAKER_03: What kind of balls do you have?
1:05:57
SPEAKER_03: Seriously.
1:05:58
SPEAKER_03: And he's like, no, what the fuck?
1:06:00
SPEAKER_03: So she kicks him out because how right, how dare he not say yes to her demands because she thinks she's Rio.
1:06:08
SPEAKER_03: The fucking nerve.
1:06:09
SPEAKER_03: And she gets mad at him.
1:06:10
SPEAKER_03: She goes, You get what you get and you don't get upset.
1:06:12
SPEAKER_03: And that doesn't make sense to me.
1:06:14
SPEAKER_03: Like, she's mad at him.
1:06:15
SPEAKER_00: She's like, She's getting what she's getting, but she's getting upset.
1:06:20
SPEAKER_00: Right.
1:06:21
SPEAKER_03: Ruby stand.
1:06:22
SPEAKER_03: Ruby's on the phone with the insurance company.
1:06:25
SPEAKER_03: Doing the whole what everyone does, representative.
1:06:29
SPEAKER_03: I think we all do that.
1:06:31
SPEAKER_03: The stand walks in and just drops the evidence bag in front of her.
1:06:37
SPEAKER_03: Um, and I was like, oh shit.
1:06:40
SPEAKER_03: No wonder they couldn't find it.
1:06:44
SPEAKER_03: So boomer, he's sad drunk.
1:06:46
SPEAKER_03: He's doing what we all do: dancing with a stranger in a bar, because that's what we all do.
1:06:52
SPEAKER_03: Jimmy shows up.
1:06:53
SPEAKER_00: No, but continue.
1:06:57
SPEAKER_02: I read that facetiously, okay, Lisa?
1:07:00
unknown: Okay.
1:07:01
SPEAKER_02: Lisa and I licked elbows.
1:07:03
SPEAKER_02: Right.
1:07:04
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
1:07:05
SPEAKER_03: So Jimmy tells Boomer he was right about it all, and they're gonna take these women down.
1:07:11
SPEAKER_03: And then Boomer has little tears of relief and joy because it's a Hallmark movie, apparently.
1:07:17
SPEAKER_02: So then Boomer does what Boomer does, and he asks for compensation.
1:07:22
SPEAKER_03: And this is what I thought of you.
1:07:24
SPEAKER_03: He goes, Okay, I'll give you compensation and away.
1:07:27
SPEAKER_03: Because but I know you're on the take because how much money they give you to let that money slide.
1:07:33
SPEAKER_03: But how much money was coming in and out.
1:07:35
SPEAKER_03: And I'm like, Lisa, I know she she's getting some sense of uh-huh at the same time.
1:07:41
SPEAKER_00: It's still like, but who was giving him the money?
1:07:43
SPEAKER_00: Well, I'm I mean, it obviously is not Rio.
1:07:47
SPEAKER_00: And I think that Rio is smart enough not to not do it anyway.
1:07:51
SPEAKER_00: But someone would, but I feel like he would have known that.
1:07:54
SPEAKER_03: But Rio Rio has connections.
1:07:58
SPEAKER_03: But at the same time, someone's paying you because they're laundering money.
1:08:02
SPEAKER_03: Right.
1:08:03
SPEAKER_03: You thought you would have been smart enough to let this shit go when it got when it got hit the very first time.
1:08:08
SPEAKER_03: Oh yeah, but he's a fucking moron.
1:08:10
SPEAKER_03: Right.
1:08:10
SPEAKER_03: That's because that's my whole thing.
1:08:12
SPEAKER_03: You he had to have he had to know something enough to keep his fucking mouth shut.
1:08:17
SPEAKER_00: Right.
1:08:18
SPEAKER_00: And but I don't think that he he probably never put two and two together.
1:08:23
SPEAKER_03: Like whatever Kakamami story that they gave him.
1:08:26
SPEAKER_03: Whether it was connected or not, but still something illegal was happening.
1:08:30
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but I fucking And then why didn't fucking Real just take him out long time ago?
1:08:37
SPEAKER_03: A lot of stuff that's kind of pissing me the fuck off.
1:08:39
SPEAKER_03: But anyway, so meanwhile, Boomer is sad and drunk dancing with a stranger in a bark, as we all do, or lick elbows, depends who you are.
1:08:52
SPEAKER_03: When Jimmy shows up, he goes, You were right.
1:08:56
SPEAKER_03: We're gonna take those women down.
1:08:59
SPEAKER_03: Boomer starts to ugly cry with relief and validation, so to speak.
1:09:07
SPEAKER_03: But then he pushes his luck by trying to ask for compensation.
1:09:10
SPEAKER_03: So Jimmy lets Boomer know.
1:09:12
SPEAKER_03: In no uncertain terms, he knows Boomer was on the take for the fine and frugal money laundering.
1:09:20
SPEAKER_03: So we energized by this conversation, Boover Boomer takes his overinflated self-ego to Mary Pat's to impress her, to impress upon her, rather.
1:09:36
SPEAKER_03: He's gonna be a witness to take them down.
1:09:39
SPEAKER_03: And sh if she has any information, um, he should tell.
1:09:43
SPEAKER_03: So eventually Mary Pat admits to taking the money from them and starts groveling for Boomer not to say anything to the feds about her.
1:09:51
SPEAKER_03: I have questions.
1:09:52
SPEAKER_03: I have answers.
1:09:54
SPEAKER_03: Okay.
1:09:54
SPEAKER_00: Doesn't she have him on audio?
1:09:59
SPEAKER_00: She does.
1:10:00
SPEAKER_00: So why is she so afraid of him when he's commit he's admitted to committing a crime?
1:10:09
SPEAKER_00: Like, so apparently she has the fucking audacity yet lacks brain cells.
1:10:18
SPEAKER_00: Okay, you're you're giving me that look, so whatever.
1:10:22
SPEAKER_03: It's the I had nothing to say about it because I just don't know what was going through.
1:10:27
SPEAKER_00: So apparently it's a ploy, there's something else behind it.
1:10:30
SPEAKER_00: Got it.
1:10:36
SPEAKER_03: I think the ploy is I think Boomer knows she's not gonna like Boomer's using this to his advantage.
1:10:45
SPEAKER_03: Boomer's a dick.
1:10:46
SPEAKER_03: Obviously.
1:10:48
SPEAKER_03: So he's like, I can't be forced to testify his a man can't a husband can't be forced to testify against his wife.
1:10:56
SPEAKER_03: So him going to Mary Pat is really trying to give himself a wife.
1:11:01
SPEAKER_00: The thing is, if a man is already gonna attempt rape and and extort sex out of Annie, oh, I'm so shocked that he would try to take advantage of Mary Pat in this situation to extort of marriage out of her.
1:11:18
SPEAKER_00: Right?
1:11:18
SPEAKER_00: Why would this be this come as a shock to anyone who has been looking at this character?
1:11:26
SPEAKER_03: Boomer, boomers.
1:11:27
SPEAKER_03: Boomers always gonna boomer.
1:11:29
SPEAKER_03: So we have a moment of normalcy at the Hill House, and for me it was good to see it.
1:11:36
SPEAKER_03: Stan's making pancakes, and everyone's just laughing and joking, like the last 24-48 hours didn't happen.
1:11:44
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because the pancake looked like grandma.
1:11:47
SPEAKER_00: Right.
1:11:47
SPEAKER_03: So they're clowning his mama and say that she looks like a snowman.
1:11:57
SPEAKER_03: Of course, then you realize everything's not okay.
1:12:00
SPEAKER_03: Because when Ruby thanks him after she falls into the kitchen, he goes, I did it for them.
1:12:07
SPEAKER_03: I was like, Oh, I need like Ruby and Stan are my life like relationship goals.
1:12:18
SPEAKER_03: I need them to get this shit together.
1:12:21
unknown: Yeah.
1:12:22
SPEAKER_03: Annie pulled up to Greg's house to pick up Sadie, who's just bubbling with the secret.
1:12:26
SPEAKER_03: You know that look.
1:12:28
SPEAKER_03: Because I may or may not do that look.
1:12:30
SPEAKER_03: You may or may not do that look.
1:12:32
SPEAKER_03: And she just blurts out, Nancy's prigs.
1:12:36
SPEAKER_03: And Annie's just like, wow.
1:12:38
SPEAKER_03: Wow.
1:12:39
SPEAKER_03: It's just start laughing like a moron.
1:12:42
SPEAKER_03: Like those those creepy clown toys.
1:12:46
SPEAKER_03: You know.
1:12:46
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
1:12:47
SPEAKER_03: Girls are at the park watching Bepp's son be a little prick.
1:12:52
SPEAKER_03: I wonder what he can say.
1:12:53
SPEAKER_03: Obviously.
1:12:54
SPEAKER_00: And then they laugh about it.
1:12:56
SPEAKER_00: Well, that's why your son's a little fucking asshole.
1:12:59
SPEAKER_00: Asshole.
1:13:00
SPEAKER_00: Because you think it's cute.
1:13:01
SPEAKER_00: I would have taken that fucking ice cream and been like, oh, oh, this is what we're doing?
1:13:07
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
1:13:08
SPEAKER_00: Here, little sister, this is yours now.
1:13:11
SPEAKER_00: And because you decided to be selfish, and because you decided to spend all the money, now I'm gonna give it to your little sister, and there's no money left over to get you anything.
1:13:20
SPEAKER_00: So you're just gonna have to sit and watch her eat it.
1:13:23
SPEAKER_00: Let me tell you, my kids never would have done that shit again.
1:13:25
SPEAKER_03: Honestly, my kid would never have done it to begin with, but let's start off with that.
1:13:29
SPEAKER_03: But if they did do it, this would be the first and last time.
1:13:32
SPEAKER_03: Right.
1:13:33
SPEAKER_03: And of course, our favorite gang, but our favorite CEO, I still think he's a CEO, Rio shows up and someone wrote online like a sexy whack-a-mole.
1:13:50
SPEAKER_03: You can't just can't get rid of them.
1:13:55
SPEAKER_03: He tells him that he knows they have a connection to Boomer.
1:13:58
SPEAKER_03: Of course, Annie's like, no, no, no, no, no.
1:14:02
SPEAKER_03: Now you would have come in and deal with Boomer?
1:14:04
SPEAKER_03: What the fuck, dude?
1:14:05
SPEAKER_03: And because Boomer is talking to the feds, he needs the girls to take care of them.
1:14:09
SPEAKER_03: They should have done that at the beginning.
1:14:10
SPEAKER_03: Mm-hmm.
1:14:11
SPEAKER_03: And then, out of like, I don't know why this is a complete shock, but it was.
1:14:16
SPEAKER_03: A little boy comes running over to Rio with a soccer ball, a soccer ball in his arms.
1:14:21
SPEAKER_03: And Rio asks his son, that's his son, in case we haven't figured it out yet, what is it I'm always telling you when you make a big old mess?
1:14:30
SPEAKER_03: And the boy goes, That I gotta clean it up.
1:14:33
SPEAKER_00: He was the cutest little boy on the planet.
1:14:35
SPEAKER_03: Wasn't he?
1:14:36
SPEAKER_03: So Rio scoops up the boy, but leaves a fast food bag on the bench.
1:14:41
SPEAKER_03: Annie and Ruby asked, Well, what is it?
1:14:44
SPEAKER_03: And that is all we know as viewers.
1:14:46
SPEAKER_03: I mean, we can probably guess what it is.
1:14:48
SPEAKER_00: I mean, you got this long extended shot of Beth looking in the bag and just like, oh.
1:14:53
SPEAKER_03: I mean, we could probably guess what it is.
1:14:56
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
1:14:57
SPEAKER_03: That was the end of the episode.
1:14:59
SPEAKER_03: And like I said at the beginning, this is uh like a comedy of errors.
1:15:03
SPEAKER_03: And it's not the not the crime, it's the cover-up.
1:15:06
SPEAKER_03: Mm-hmm.
1:15:07
SPEAKER_03: So, how do you feel about what we've watched?
1:15:11
SPEAKER_03: I know you said it was kind of just like a little lackluster, but I think it set us up for a season of a lot of OMG moments.
1:15:20
SPEAKER_00: I would hope so.
1:15:23
SPEAKER_00: Because if it goes downhill, then the show goes downhill with it.
1:15:29
SPEAKER_00: Like there's not much more room to go down.
1:15:32
SPEAKER_00: So, and and then seeing the potential that the show had, like in the first half of the episode, because it's it's still like like I said, it's that building, right?
1:15:41
SPEAKER_00: We're getting, you know, the stakes are being raised, and then all of a sudden it's kind of like the stakes got plateau.
1:15:48
SPEAKER_00: Right.
1:15:50
SPEAKER_00: Um, I mean, other than that, I think that the show still has a lot of potential.
1:15:55
SPEAKER_00: I think that it still has my full attention.
1:15:59
SPEAKER_00: So I'm looking forward to seeing how the second season turns out in especially in comparison to the first, because you know, sometimes the first ones aren't completely fleshed out before they have to start production and then you see the character growth towards the end of the first season or the second seasons.
1:16:21
SPEAKER_00: So I'm I'm gonna try to like look for that stuff too to see how it compares.
1:16:30
SPEAKER_00: And I'm not surprised that Rio is a dad, but I think what can be surprising is the contrast between here we were before looking at Rio shooting Dean in what seems like cold calculated blood, and then you got him in the park with his you know small kid and being a parent of doting father.
1:16:56
unknown: Yeah.
1:16:57
SPEAKER_00: You know, like look at his kid.
1:16:59
SPEAKER_00: His kid is seemingly normal, he's he's you know, healthy, he's he, you know, uh respectful, he has manners, he's smart, like you know, like let's go play soccer.
1:17:11
SPEAKER_00: You know, very different than the guy who's like, it's okay.
1:17:14
SPEAKER_00: I know it's hard.
1:17:15
SPEAKER_00: Pow.
1:17:18
SPEAKER_00: Right below the kisser.
1:17:20
SPEAKER_03: And it's funny you say that because on the surface, you're like, yeah, two different people.
1:17:24
SPEAKER_03: But if you dig in deeper, it makes sense.
1:17:28
SPEAKER_03: Because even though, yeah, he is still very much in touch of all his whether he means it or not, he's still in touch with different feelings and empathy, whether it's faked or not.
1:17:45
SPEAKER_03: He's definitely aware of his emotional hold on people, or at least on Beth.
1:17:53
SPEAKER_03: So it kind of makes sense to for him to be that doting fathers too.
1:17:58
SPEAKER_03: So it's kind of like a it's kind of like it doesn't make sense, but it does make sense, but it doesn't make sense.
1:18:05
SPEAKER_03: It does.
1:18:06
SPEAKER_00: It does because I think that I think that sometimes, and and I know that this is a character, I know that this is fictional, but I also know that many times in in the recent years with so much competition, the shows really try to go deep into their character development.
1:18:29
SPEAKER_00: So I would not be surprised if they kind of took a page out of the DSM to build this character.
1:18:37
SPEAKER_00: But with that being said, I think that it's it's one of those things where you see this like stark contrast between what you perceive as a warm and doting family man versus cold-blooded gang gang, a gang member, gang leader.
1:19:00
SPEAKER_00: But then oh, yeah.
1:19:02
SPEAKER_00: But then I also think that with within that character profile, there's a lot of disconnect that comes, and probably a lot of outsourcing and not getting your own hands dirty so that you can continue to perpetuate that belief within yourself, you know, the um the separation of like the cognitive distance dissonance, but you know, and so like that bridges the gap between the two so that you can sleep at night, so that you can, you know, so you you put out that warmth to make up for the cold below.
1:19:42
SPEAKER_03: Or people can still be the both.
1:19:44
SPEAKER_03: Absolutely.
1:19:45
SPEAKER_03: People you you can still be a cold-hearted bastard and a loving parent, but then you have the consciousness.
1:19:51
SPEAKER_00: But I'm talking about the reasoning.
1:19:53
SPEAKER_00: The reasoning behind how people come to be both.
1:19:57
SPEAKER_00: My god, dig deeper.
1:19:58
SPEAKER_00: Dig deeper.
1:19:59
SPEAKER_03: All right, so you always have the the compared of contrast between Dean, who's supposed to be the doting husband and the family, like, you know, the picture perfect life.
1:20:10
SPEAKER_03: He's supposed to be the husband, the father, the businessman, like what you want in a man.
1:20:17
SPEAKER_03: Here you have Ryo, who's like the fucking gangbanger.
1:20:21
SPEAKER_03: But the reality is Dean's a fucking shitty husband and father.
1:20:25
SPEAKER_03: Well, he might he might be a good father.
1:20:27
SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
1:20:27
SPEAKER_00: He might be, yeah.
1:20:28
SPEAKER_03: But at the same time, how good of a father are you if you're a shitty husband?
1:20:31
SPEAKER_03: I think sometimes, because your kids see this shit.
1:20:35
SPEAKER_03: I don't care.
1:20:35
SPEAKER_03: It bleeds.
1:20:36
SPEAKER_03: It bleeds, exactly.
1:20:38
SPEAKER_03: Meanwhile, you have this gangbang, CEO gangbanger, who, for what we can see, is raising a well-adjusted child who's not a little shit to his sister at this scene.
1:20:50
SPEAKER_03: You're just looking on superficially, the the snapshots.
1:20:55
SPEAKER_00: That's a really actually that's a really good connection too, because you have even on that level, right?
1:21:01
SPEAKER_00: Like his kid is over here polite, has manners, right from wrong, you know, moral ethics.
1:21:08
SPEAKER_00: And her kids are like, fuck you, I just spent all the money on myself, haha, cry about it.
1:21:14
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
1:21:16
SPEAKER_00: I think I deserve a cinnamon sale scrunch.
1:21:20
SPEAKER_00: I'm taking another sip of my drink.
1:21:24
SPEAKER_00: I've been craving cinnamon sale scrunch all week, and like the adult that I am, I didn't do anything about it.
1:21:31
SPEAKER_00: And then they came home and they brought home an a big unopened box, and I was like, ooh, you've answered my prayers.
1:21:38
SPEAKER_03: Oh, they love you.
1:21:39
SPEAKER_00: They had no idea.
1:21:41
SPEAKER_00: It was a fluke.
1:21:42
SPEAKER_00: But I I'll take it.
1:21:43
SPEAKER_03: Our next episode is gonna be season two, episode two.
1:21:47
SPEAKER_00: Wait, that was the whole episode?
1:21:49
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that was the whole episode.
1:21:50
SPEAKER_03: That's we left it there.
1:21:52
SPEAKER_03: Oh, well, her face in the bag.
1:21:54
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
1:21:56
SPEAKER_03: Now, if it was like food in the bag, that would totally be me.
1:21:59
SPEAKER_03: So I'm gonna say it now, cause I'm gonna forget, but I'm gonna say it now.
1:22:02
SPEAKER_03: Next week's episode is titled Slow Down Children at Play.
1:22:06
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
1:22:06
SPEAKER_00: So I guess we're back to the stop sign.
1:22:09
SPEAKER_03: Get out of my empty head.
1:22:10
SPEAKER_03: I was gonna say that.
1:22:11
SPEAKER_03: Holy shit, Lisa.
1:22:14
SPEAKER_03: Read my mind.
1:22:15
SPEAKER_03: I know it's roomy in there, right?
1:22:16
SPEAKER_03: I could stretch out in there, it's nothing else.
1:22:18
SPEAKER_03: Like a an echoes.
1:22:20
SPEAKER_03: Hello.
1:22:20
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
1:22:22
SPEAKER_00: Are we are we done?
1:22:24
SPEAKER_00: Are you waiting for me?
1:22:25
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I'm done.
1:22:26
SPEAKER_00: I I'm just I don't have anything else.
1:22:30
SPEAKER_00: So unless you have anything else about this episode, I think I just use the task done.
1:22:38
SPEAKER_03: I've used the entirety of my brain function on that last thought I had.
1:22:42
SPEAKER_03: So I have shit for you.
1:22:45
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
1:22:45
SPEAKER_00: So yeah, I think I think that's our sign to wrap it up.
1:22:48
SPEAKER_00: So thank you for hanging out with us.
1:22:52
SPEAKER_00: Visit Sassinsips.com for all the ways and more of the ways to get in touch with us and hear our stuff and support our stuff and um drink responsibly.
1:23:06
SPEAKER_00: Yes, that's definitely that stuff.
1:23:09
SPEAKER_00: Don't drink and drive.
1:23:11
SPEAKER_00: And until next time, I'm Lisa and I'm Agnes.
1:23:14
SPEAKER_00: And we are out of here.
1:23:16
SPEAKER_00: See you later.
1:23:17
SPEAKER_00: Bye.
