- 1:17Speaker 4: that is not who he used to be.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Here, all right, Kevin mccallaugh, glad to have you with
- 1:26Speaker 1: us as we kick off the Friday edition. Lots of
- 1:29Speaker 1: breaking news to get to and we're gonna delve into it.
- 1:32Speaker 1: We've also got great guests today, Christine Nicholas. We'll give
- 1:35Speaker 1: us a little sneak preview of some fun things to
- 1:37Speaker 1: do if you're headed to New York City this weekend.
- 1:40Speaker 1: The Broadway season is now open in full. A lot
- 1:43Speaker 1: of people think it opens in the fall, and actually
- 1:46Speaker 1: the spring opening is really the major opening because that
- 1:50Speaker 1: is in the lead up to the Tony's which then
- 1:52Speaker 1: take place at the end of May. But we've got
- 1:55Speaker 1: some fun there. And then we'll talk with both doctor
- 1:59Speaker 1: Gina Aloud and Bethany Mandel about some of the top stories,
- 2:03Speaker 1: including that story that I told you about on Monday,
- 2:06Speaker 1: where the continuous reading of the Bible is taking place
- 2:09Speaker 1: in our nation's capital at the Museum of the Bible.
- 2:13Speaker 1: And already this week, the Speaker of the House, the President,
- 2:16Speaker 1: a handful of other elected leaders have been among the
- 2:19Speaker 1: five hundred plus people reading the Bible cover to cover
- 2:22Speaker 1: out loud to the nation. It's being live streamed and
- 2:26Speaker 1: some of it's being carried on television and radio as well.
- 2:28Speaker 1: I'm part of that line up. I will be reading
- 2:31Speaker 1: Saturday night or Saturday afternoon at some point in time.
- 2:34Speaker 1: I'm not sure exactly the time, but it will be
- 2:37Speaker 1: I think sometime just afternoon. My section of scripture is
- 2:41Speaker 1: first Timothy four through on Timothy six, and looking forward
- 2:44Speaker 1: to being part of that event as well. And I'm
- 2:47Speaker 1: going to ask doctor gene A Loud about this because
- 2:48Speaker 1: I saw her say something about the president's reading of
- 2:51Speaker 1: scripture from the Oval office and that moved her, and
- 2:54Speaker 1: I think that we need more of this. I don't
- 2:56Speaker 1: even care if the person reading the scripture lives it
- 3:00Speaker 1: perfectly or not. I think the public pronouncement of scripture
- 3:04Speaker 1: over our nation and into the universe, for people to
- 3:07Speaker 1: hear it and to see it, I think it's a
- 3:10Speaker 1: good thing. So anyway, honored to be part of that.
- 3:13Speaker 1: And we'll try to post on social media when I
- 3:15Speaker 1: know more about what time my section of scripture will
- 3:18Speaker 1: in fact take place. Yesterday I mentioned that the Somali
- 3:22Speaker 1: fraud case was taking additional turns. The state committees that
- 3:28Speaker 1: had been put in charge of looking into some of
- 3:30Speaker 1: this stuff had basically subpoenaed elon Omar to show up,
- 3:36Speaker 1: and she didn't show up. And now there is a
- 3:41Speaker 1: bit of slack back from elon Omar back to the
- 3:46Speaker 1: people that she stood up. I don't understand how she
- 3:48Speaker 1: quite get away with how she quite gets away with this,
- 3:51Speaker 1: But it is shocking to me that when you've altered
- 3:55Speaker 1: your received income for a given year from thirty million
- 3:59Speaker 1: dollar dollars down to sixty thousand dollars for the year,
- 4:04Speaker 1: and then you're you're claiming, oh, I had nothing to
- 4:06Speaker 1: do with any of the corruption or the or any
- 4:09Speaker 1: of the other stuff that was going on. It just
- 4:11Speaker 1: I just think that she has grossly underestimated this because
- 4:14Speaker 1: this is not just just standing up. The people that
- 4:16Speaker 1: were looking into it are not going to ultimately stop it.
- 4:22Speaker 1: She's going to have to answer more questions and this
- 4:24Speaker 1: is this is not going away. Also, the same kind
- 4:28Speaker 1: of walls are closing in on Governor Waltz as well
- 4:32Speaker 1: from Minnesota because James Comer's committee is increasingly make it
- 4:37Speaker 1: making it less and less comfortable for him to avoid
- 4:41Speaker 1: answering the harder questions that he's that he has to answer.
- 4:45Speaker 1: You can't be in charge of the state end of
- 4:47Speaker 1: giving away federal dollars and get to walk away without
- 4:50Speaker 1: answering questions about it. That's that's just gonna that's going
- 4:54Speaker 1: to happen. I just have a feeling that it's not
- 4:56Speaker 1: going to be overlooked at all. But when when Omar
- 5:00Speaker 1: refuses to attend, she has the audacity then to mock
- 5:04Speaker 1: the people that had subpoened her. I just think that's
- 5:07Speaker 1: a bad move on her part. So we'll see what's
- 5:09Speaker 1: going on there. We've got other news related to the
- 5:13Speaker 1: grander scheme of war. I'm going to get to that
- 5:17Speaker 1: in a minute, but I want to highlight this piece
- 5:20Speaker 1: of information, specifically, Ed Morrissey, my colleague over at hot
- 5:24Speaker 1: air dot com, is reporting that the president and I
- 5:29Speaker 1: don't know why this is such a controversial thing, but
- 5:34Speaker 1: there are some a ten warthogs, which are basically what
- 5:39Speaker 1: we use to take out mind laying operations, and they're
- 5:46Speaker 1: really good at this, and they have entered the chat,
- 5:50Speaker 1: and Morsey says, in the wake of Iran's refusal to
- 5:53Speaker 1: negotiate over its highly enriched uranium and its continued attack
- 5:56Speaker 1: on commercial shipping, President Trump has decided to redefine the
- 5:59Speaker 1: season fire on the US Israeli side as well. Trump
- 6:02Speaker 1: accused the IERGC of laying more mines in the Strait
- 6:05Speaker 1: of Hormuz, where the US Navy had already begun minesweeping operations,
- 6:09Speaker 1: and he says, I have ordered the United States Navy
- 6:11Speaker 1: to shoot and kill any boat small boats, though they
- 6:13Speaker 1: may be their naval ships, are all one hundred and
- 6:16Speaker 1: fifty nine of them at the bottom of the sea
- 6:18Speaker 1: that is putting mines in the waters of the Straits
- 6:20Speaker 1: of Hormuz. There is to be no hesitation. Additionally, our
- 6:24Speaker 1: minesweepers are clearing the strait right now, and I am
- 6:26Speaker 1: here by ordering that that activity continue, but at a
- 6:29Speaker 1: tripled up level. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
- 6:32Speaker 1: That's the President responding to Iran's attempt to lay more
- 6:37Speaker 1: minds and friends. I I know that they're not listening
- 6:42Speaker 1: to me. I know that nobody in Iran's listening to me.
- 6:44Speaker 1: But man, if I could have your ear for a second,
- 6:46Speaker 1: I would tell you take him at his word. He
- 6:50Speaker 1: is going to blow your little speedboats right out of
- 6:52Speaker 1: the water and not apologize for it. These ward hoogs
- 6:56Speaker 1: are going to find their target, and you're not going
- 7:01Speaker 1: to be confused about it. No one's going to be
- 7:03Speaker 1: confused about it. We the United States, in this effort,
- 7:08Speaker 1: are performing such a huge lift, such a huge responsibility
- 7:13Speaker 1: for what's going to be the result in the outcome
- 7:16Speaker 1: of the war to clear the Strait, and we don't
- 7:19Speaker 1: even benefit from it. This is all just because we
- 7:22Speaker 1: want peace in the world and we want the Straight
- 7:24Speaker 1: of hord Moves to be opened so that Europe and
- 7:27Speaker 1: Asia can have their boats go back and forth and
- 7:29Speaker 1: do what they need. The US doesn't use the Strait.
- 7:31Speaker 1: We don't need it, we don't want it. This is
- 7:35Speaker 1: all one hundred percent graciousness on our part. And when
- 7:40Speaker 1: we get this done, and when we get the uranium
- 7:42Speaker 1: out of Iran, and you know, whatever's left of their leadership,
- 7:47Speaker 1: nobody knows who's actually in charge of what anymore. Like
- 7:49Speaker 1: it's they're just in utter, total abysmal chaos. The Iatola
- 7:55Speaker 1: is not in charge, the president's not in charge, the
- 7:58Speaker 1: IRGC can't get its story straight from one end of
- 8:00Speaker 1: it to the other. And it's going to be a
- 8:03Speaker 1: great opportunity for the Ranian people to rise up and say, hey,
- 8:05Speaker 1: we're gonna we're gonna take our country back. Ultimately, that's
- 8:08Speaker 1: not what we're there to do. We're not there to
- 8:10Speaker 1: change their regime. We killed all the bad guys. That's
- 8:12Speaker 1: the change we brought. And then we're going to get
- 8:16Speaker 1: rid of the uranium, and we're going to open the
- 8:17Speaker 1: straight and then we're gonna come home, and our men
- 8:20Speaker 1: and women in uniform are going to deserve a hero's
- 8:22Speaker 1: welcome because this has been one of the most well
- 8:25Speaker 1: executed military operations in the history of military operations. We
- 8:30Speaker 1: have lost precious, minimal few lives, and we have achieved
- 8:35Speaker 1: nearly every objective. And the Iran economy is in complete
- 8:38Speaker 1: collapse because they can't get anything out and they can't
- 8:40Speaker 1: get anything in. We have literally suffocated this you know,
- 8:47Speaker 1: power that was so projected so much danger to all
- 8:51Speaker 1: of its neighbors just you know, a couple of years ago.
- 8:53Speaker 1: It's really crazy how how much you know projection they did.
- 8:58Speaker 1: I think there were really a tiger. I don't think
- 9:00Speaker 1: there was really much to them. But we're we're finding
- 9:03Speaker 1: out that they're certainly not strong now. All right, Kevin mccaullugh,
- 9:06Speaker 1: glad to be with you. We'll get into all those
- 9:08Speaker 1: stories and more as we go along. Plus, I'm thankful
- 9:10Speaker 1: for those of you that are helping us feed those
- 9:12Speaker 1: hungry children in Latin America and Central America. Eight f
- 9:17Speaker 1: five nine zero seven four six seven three if you
- 9:19Speaker 1: have not yet given your gift. Seventy five dollars helps
- 9:23Speaker 1: one child be fed for the coming year. Two meals
- 9:26Speaker 1: a day, seven hundred and thirty meals is what you're
- 9:29Speaker 1: going to deliver for a seventy five one time dollar gift.
- 9:33Speaker 1: One time, seventy five dollars gift is what I meant
- 9:35Speaker 1: to say, And we would encourage you to call right
- 9:38Speaker 1: now eight hundred eight five five nine zero seven four
- 9:41Speaker 1: six seven three eight five five nine zero seven four
- 9:43Speaker 1: six seven three and it's Kevin mccallor. Everything you need
- 9:47Speaker 1: from me is that that Kevin Show, that kevinshow dot com.
- 9:49Speaker 1: And we give away our first America two fifty signature,
- 9:53Speaker 1: that Kevin Show mug so stick around.
- 9:56Speaker 5: Coming right back.
- 10:01Speaker 3: Here he is from New York.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Kevin McCulloch, All right, welcome, It's the Friday edition of
- 10:23Speaker 1: that Kevin Show, that kevinshow dot Com. Thankful that you're
- 10:26Speaker 1: here and thankful that we get to take this part
- 10:29Speaker 1: of the show every day and just pause everything else
- 10:34Speaker 1: in our lives and say, how do we live?
- 10:36Speaker 5: How do we live?
- 10:37Speaker 1: Going forward from here? As people who love God, love
- 10:41Speaker 1: his word, want to live on mission, want to be
- 10:44Speaker 1: about accomplishing his kingdom work. How do we do that,
- 10:47Speaker 1: especially in a world that hates God, despises his word,
- 10:51Speaker 1: and looks at us with suspicion. Well, this is where
- 10:53Speaker 1: we discuss that. Each day and this week, Pastor Narogrant
- 10:56Speaker 1: has been with us, we've been talking about the theology
- 10:59Speaker 1: of disability and really an eye opening look at what
- 11:02Speaker 1: Scripture has to say from all these different angles. But
- 11:06Speaker 1: nearra if we're going to put it all together kind
- 11:08Speaker 1: of for an action plan from this point, what do
- 11:12Speaker 1: we do?
- 11:14Speaker 5: So you have all this theology, So the very next
- 11:17Speaker 5: step now is what do I do with it? I
- 11:19Speaker 5: think it starts with a bit of theology of thinking
- 11:23Speaker 5: about something. In one Corinthians twelve, right around verse twenty one,
- 11:29Speaker 5: to be specific, it says this the eye cannot say
- 11:32Speaker 5: to the hand, I have no need of you, nor
- 11:35Speaker 5: again the head to the feet, I have no need
- 11:38Speaker 5: of you. On the contrary, and this is really important
- 11:40Speaker 5: verse twenty two. On the contrary, the parts of the
- 11:43Speaker 5: body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, and those
- 11:49Speaker 5: parts of the body that we think less honorable we
- 11:53Speaker 5: bestow the greater honor. And our unpresentable parts are treated
- 11:59Speaker 5: with greater modesty, which our more presentable parts do not require.
- 12:04Speaker 5: But God has so composed the body, giving greater honor
- 12:11Speaker 5: to the parts that lacket, that there would may be
- 12:15Speaker 5: no division in the body, but that the members may
- 12:19Speaker 5: have the same care for one another. All right, let's
- 12:23Speaker 5: talk practical steps, because when we think about the church,
- 12:28Speaker 5: we look at those Let's think of it like the
- 12:31Speaker 5: pinkies of the church, the little fingers of the church,
- 12:33Speaker 5: and we think we don't need them, what are they
- 12:35Speaker 5: there for? And we count them as numbers because we
- 12:38Speaker 5: need the numbers. Right, But what God is saying, No,
- 12:41Speaker 5: I compose this whole body, pinkies and all to build
- 12:46Speaker 5: unity in the church. So then, how then do I
- 12:49Speaker 5: live with this as a pastor? What do I do
- 12:52Speaker 5: with my church? Number One, Accessibility is a big deal.
- 12:55Speaker 5: We see it in the scripture. In fact, just most
- 12:59Speaker 5: of the people who are healed in the New Testament,
- 13:03Speaker 5: they find themselves right back in the place of worship,
- 13:07Speaker 5: whether that be in the synagogue, before the feet of Christ.
- 13:09Speaker 5: It's because the community was built in such a way
- 13:12Speaker 5: that they couldn't get to the worship. They weren't allowed
- 13:16Speaker 5: in the worship. In many cases, But a lot of
- 13:18Speaker 5: times it's like the paralytic on the floor. You just
- 13:20Speaker 5: couldn't get in. So I'm gonna bust open your roof
- 13:22Speaker 5: and drop him inside so that he could be a
- 13:25Speaker 5: part of it and he could be healed. So I
- 13:27Speaker 5: think what we need to do as church leaders and
- 13:30Speaker 5: even members have an outcry to say, how do we
- 13:33Speaker 5: accessorize our church building so that it can invite those
- 13:41Speaker 5: who are part of the body of Christ that deserve
- 13:44Speaker 5: more honor the pinky of the church if you think
- 13:47Speaker 5: about it that way, and that means sitting down at
- 13:50Speaker 5: the table and looking at the charts, looking at the
- 13:54Speaker 5: ways we can make this building better. Number two and
- 13:58Speaker 5: I just want to share three. Really two, preach it
- 14:01Speaker 5: if you're a pastor hearing this, Preach about the power
- 14:04Speaker 5: and weakness. Preach about suffering. Preach about what the church
- 14:07Speaker 5: should do in suffering. How do we pray for one
- 14:10Speaker 5: another in suffering? How do we engage people who are suffering?
- 14:15Speaker 5: How do we walk alongside the Moses and the Jacob's Israels,
- 14:21Speaker 5: And how do we deal with people like the woman
- 14:25Speaker 5: with the issue of blood? How do we treat those
- 14:28Speaker 5: people at the church? Preach about it. That's number two.
- 14:32Speaker 5: And then lastly, teach some etiquette like how to respect
- 14:35Speaker 5: one another, like don't assume that somebody who's mute is dumb.
- 14:40Speaker 5: You can speak right to them. They still have all
- 14:42Speaker 5: their faculties, they just may not speak as a person
- 14:46Speaker 5: in the wheelchair. I can't tell you how many times
- 14:48Speaker 5: I've had people bend down and talk to me in
- 14:52Speaker 5: kissing distance because they think that I'm deaf, or they
- 14:57Speaker 5: talk slower because they think I don't understand are They
- 15:00Speaker 5: ask me, did you ever go to school?
- 15:02Speaker 6: Like you?
- 15:03Speaker 5: What does that even mean that I ever go to school?
- 15:05Speaker 5: All these silly things that we do. We need to
- 15:09Speaker 5: stop that killed that and recognize that these are very
- 15:12Speaker 5: normal people. It's just parts of their body or their
- 15:15Speaker 5: body doesn't work, or maybe they're the they have autism,
- 15:19Speaker 5: but they're high functioning and and so we need to
- 15:23Speaker 5: have better etiquette of treating these people with honor and respect.
- 15:27Speaker 5: And that's something that could be taught to be done
- 15:29Speaker 5: right in our church. I could say so much more,
- 15:31Speaker 5: but anyway.
- 15:33Speaker 1: Well, that is certainly you know, on the on the
- 15:38Speaker 1: ministry side, that's that's practical. It's just and it's and
- 15:41Speaker 1: it's true, and I don't necessarily judge folks error that
- 15:45Speaker 1: that make those kind of mistakes and full pause, because
- 15:48Speaker 1: I think it's the lack of being exposed and dealing
- 15:52Speaker 1: with people that have challenges that create some of those instances.
- 15:59Speaker 1: But it's it's good that we, you know, discuss, confront
- 16:04Speaker 1: if necessary, educate, and hopefully reconcile, because the idea is
- 16:09Speaker 1: that if you've if you've got especially people in your
- 16:15Speaker 1: in your body that you know have access issues, it
- 16:18Speaker 1: should be the heart concern of the church to make
- 16:21Speaker 1: sure that they get those removed correct correct.
- 16:24Speaker 5: I actually have a saying, educate before you aggravate.
- 16:27Speaker 3: Right.
- 16:28Speaker 5: It's so many people just don't know, and that's okay,
- 16:33Speaker 5: educate them because so many times that I've had people
- 16:35Speaker 5: do things and I'll say, oh, you know what the
- 16:38Speaker 5: right thing to do is, and I'll explain to go,
- 16:40Speaker 5: oh my gosh, I'm sorry I didn't know. But where
- 16:44Speaker 5: I'm coming from with this is from the theology of
- 16:48Speaker 5: the body of Christ. I'm a significant part or should
- 16:52Speaker 5: I be considered a part of the body of Christ?
- 16:55Speaker 5: And what we see here as God says yes, in fact,
- 16:58Speaker 5: I've done it on purpose. So that if the church
- 17:03Speaker 5: does not include people of this nature, they will create disunity.
- 17:10Speaker 5: And I think that's important because we don't think we're
- 17:13Speaker 5: doing something wrong if we're not inclusive in this area, right,
- 17:17Speaker 5: we don't think we're doing something wrong. But what the
- 17:19Speaker 5: subscripture teach us, No, you really have to include those
- 17:23Speaker 5: with disability and wounded this into your church because that
- 17:27Speaker 5: is going to build the unity of Christ's body. So
- 17:31Speaker 5: that tells me I'm part of Christ's body. Therefore, if
- 17:34Speaker 5: I'm an able bodied church leader, I have to now
- 17:37Speaker 5: figure out a way to create that unity in my church.
- 17:42Speaker 5: That might be mechanical, but it also can be emotional
- 17:45Speaker 5: and it can be taught.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Yeah, near on a practical level, are there helps for
- 17:55Speaker 1: church leaders, pastors, lay leaders that want to tackle this
- 17:59Speaker 1: and get involved, And what would you point them to
- 18:02Speaker 1: in terms of because it's one thing that kind of
- 18:06Speaker 1: have your heart and eyes open this week to our conversations,
- 18:10Speaker 1: But it's another thing saying, Okay, what's the checklist that
- 18:13Speaker 1: we need to be you know, looking through and making
- 18:16Speaker 1: sure that we're covering the bases on.
- 18:19Speaker 5: Well, there are wonderful organizations like Johnny and Friends that
- 18:23Speaker 5: are out there that will come alongside any church and
- 18:26Speaker 5: help them go through it. There are also, I mean,
- 18:29Speaker 5: there are a lot of groups online that will for
- 18:34Speaker 5: no cost at all, really will come in and measure
- 18:37Speaker 5: your space talk to you about what that would look like.
- 18:40Speaker 5: There are grants that are out there that will help
- 18:43Speaker 5: organizations and churches build the mechanisms necessary to allow people
- 18:51Speaker 5: have mobile disability to come in. There are so many things.
- 18:54Speaker 5: It's just making the step of saying, Okay, I want
- 18:58Speaker 5: to make that step to move forward forward, and how
- 19:01Speaker 5: do I do that?
- 19:02Speaker 1: Friends? I hope that as you've heard us discuss this
- 19:06Speaker 1: week from passages in Scripture that I don't think some
- 19:09Speaker 1: of us have ever thought about applying to this particular
- 19:12Speaker 1: topic before, but really really good convicting discussions this week.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Thank you Nehru for your time and for committing to
- 19:20Speaker 1: us this week to help help us see these things

- 20:26Speaker 5: So I am teaching from Lazarus and the rich Man.
- 20:30Speaker 1: Huh.
- 20:30Speaker 5: We'll be talking about what greed looks like and how
- 20:33Speaker 5: do you know if you're greedy?
- 20:35Speaker 1: All right, it's a good, good practical conversation and I
- 20:39Speaker 1: know it'll be great. Nay Or thank you for a
- 20:41Speaker 1: great week. We'll have you back.
- 20:42Speaker 5: Kevin. Thank you so much for allowing me to be
- 20:44Speaker 5: any show.
- 20:45Speaker 1: You got it, Kevin McCalla, Really glad to have you
- 20:47Speaker 1: two friends on this Friday edition. We've got a big
- 20:50Speaker 1: show still ahead. Stay with us, stick.
- 20:53Speaker 7: Around for more than Ken next here he is from
- 21:17Speaker 7: New York. In fact, Ken Kevin.
- 21:21Speaker 1: McCullough, Welcome back, Kevin McCullough. It is that Kevin Show
- 21:28Speaker 1: everything online at that kevinshow dot com, never behind a paywall,
- 21:31Speaker 1: always wants you to have it for free, and we
- 21:34Speaker 1: also want you to help us with something very very important.
- 21:38Speaker 8: We walked into this wretched little shack. Inside we saw
- 21:43Speaker 8: mother totally with her face showed every line of suffering
- 21:47Speaker 8: possible of a mother who feels frustrated because.
- 21:50Speaker 5: She can't feed her children.
- 21:52Speaker 8: She had two children in the shack with her.
- 21:55Speaker 3: There was a four year old who.
- 21:56Speaker 8: Was actually eating a handful of rice, and the seven
- 21:59Speaker 8: years who was standing there looking very woefully at his
- 22:03Speaker 8: little brother who was eating. And we said to the
- 22:05Speaker 8: seven year old, how come you're not eating also? And
- 22:09Speaker 8: he said to us today it's not my turn to eat.
- 22:15Speaker 8: Can you imagine the pain and a mother to have
- 22:19Speaker 8: to tell one of her children today it's not your
- 22:23Speaker 8: turn to eat perhaps tomorrow, to have that complete food
- 22:29Speaker 8: and security where you cannot plan even one day in
- 22:33Speaker 8: advance for a meal for your children.
- 22:37Speaker 1: That is what we are talking about when it comes
- 22:39Speaker 1: to the effort that we are doing with Food for
- 22:42Speaker 1: the Poor to try to feed those who are hungry.
- 22:44Speaker 1: Paul Jacob's Food for the Poor has been doing this
- 22:46Speaker 1: for a number of years, and in places where the
- 22:48Speaker 1: clean drinking water and the food program does get into
- 22:52Speaker 1: the child's life, take us into a before after picture.
- 22:56Speaker 1: What is the child like before? A year later, when
- 22:59Speaker 1: everything is firing on all cylinders, what is that child like.
- 23:02Speaker 9: Chauvelin is a little girl that we met when we
- 23:04Speaker 9: traveled to Haiti. One of the things that was so
- 23:06Speaker 9: striking about her was how absolutely undernourished she looked as
- 23:11Speaker 9: a twelve year old girl, and she and her other
- 23:14Speaker 9: her friends went to this local water source where she
- 23:18Speaker 9: would siphon out water from this puddle, this little canal.
- 23:23Speaker 9: And on one side there was a gentleman in that
- 23:25Speaker 9: particular day washing his motorcycle, cleaning it like a car wash.
- 23:30Speaker 9: And on the other side were farm animals doing their business.
- 23:32Speaker 9: And in between is this twelve year old girl undernourished,
- 23:35Speaker 9: looking to siphon this green, muddy water and take it
- 23:39Speaker 9: all the way home, about a quarter of a mile
- 23:41Speaker 9: back to her house, with this water on her head,
- 23:43Speaker 9: on her shoulder, the weight of her family resting on
- 23:46Speaker 9: her body. And when we went there, you saw the
- 23:49Speaker 9: reality the rest of the story as we always hear,
- 23:52Speaker 9: and that is there was no food. That her mother
- 23:55Speaker 9: was without work because there was no work for her.
- 23:58Speaker 9: It wasn't that she was a bad mummy that she
- 24:00Speaker 9: didn't feed her children. It was the fact that she
- 24:02Speaker 9: didn't have anything to give these children because she had
- 24:05Speaker 9: no work. Because even if she did work, it was
- 24:07Speaker 9: a dollar or two a day at best, it wouldn't
- 24:10Speaker 9: be able to keep a roof over their head. Maybe
- 24:12Speaker 9: put these children in school which didn't exist for Chauvelin,
- 24:15Speaker 9: and give them food. And so we were really striking
- 24:18Speaker 9: to say that this is one child, this is one
- 24:20Speaker 9: community where we are going to help these children in
- 24:23Speaker 9: La fosse Haiti. Only a year later, when we were
- 24:27Speaker 9: back with a number of broadcasters, we went in and
- 24:29Speaker 9: we took them to several communities and I said, let's
- 24:33Speaker 9: take a special trip, and I told everybody on the
- 24:34Speaker 9: bus I want to take you someplace special because we
- 24:37Speaker 9: knew that there was some progress made. We knew homes
- 24:39Speaker 9: were built, we knew food programs were delivered, and we
- 24:42Speaker 9: went into the community. We parked the bus next to
- 24:45Speaker 9: the water purification unit, this big water tank that brought
- 24:49Speaker 9: this water in ten thousand gallons a day of safe,
- 24:52Speaker 9: portable water to drink. And of course there was a
- 24:54Speaker 9: feeding program there, and there are families that were thriving.
- 24:57Speaker 9: Where it was silence, it was just elation. And then
- 25:00Speaker 9: a girl walked up, early teenage girl. And I asked
- 25:05Speaker 9: the pastor who was with us, I said, who are
- 25:07Speaker 9: these children? He says, don't you recognize Chaufelin. My mind
- 25:12Speaker 9: was blown.
- 25:13Speaker 5: I was shocked.
- 25:14Speaker 9: This girl faithful, her smile was beaming, and she brought
- 25:19Speaker 9: us to her home. She shared with us how the
- 25:21Speaker 9: life has changed for her in just one year. And
- 25:24Speaker 9: so I'm asking you right now, you may not meet
- 25:26Speaker 9: many of these children or these families from this side
- 25:29Speaker 9: of heaven, but please know that when you give your gift,
- 25:32Speaker 9: whether it's one hundred and fifty dollars for two children
- 25:35Speaker 9: or a fifteen hundred dollars for a classroom of twenty children.
- 25:39Speaker 9: The bottom line is, in just a matter of months,
- 25:42Speaker 9: food for the poor and the pastor's on the ground
- 25:43Speaker 9: will be able to make a difference with your generous gift.
- 25:46Speaker 1: Eight five five nine oh seven four six seven three,
- 25:49Speaker 1: eight five five nine zero seven four six seven three.
- 25:52Speaker 1: And when you give right now online and for the
- 25:54Speaker 1: next ten minutes, every gift that does come in will
- 25:57Speaker 1: be matched child for child, meal from meal, plate for plate,
- 26:01Speaker 1: cup of water for cup of water. We need your
- 26:03Speaker 1: help and we want to maximize the good we can
- 26:05Speaker 1: do at this very moment by acting on it right now.
- 26:08Speaker 1: Eight five five nine zero seven four six seven three
- 26:12Speaker 1: eight five five nine zero seven four six seven three.
- 26:16Speaker 1: Thank you to those of you have already helped with
- 26:19Speaker 1: feeding and bringing clean drinking water to several hundred children.
- 26:23Speaker 1: I'm grateful for the sacrifice that every one of you
- 26:25Speaker 1: has made. We do know that there are two hundred
- 26:27Speaker 1: and forty three additional kids that we can help right
- 26:31Speaker 1: now and that need our help right now. So I
- 26:33Speaker 1: need you to act right now. Eight five five nine

- 26:55Speaker 1: your opportunity to help a new young chauvelin or a
- 26:58Speaker 1: new young girl who is facing these challenges and make

- 27:28Speaker 1: immediately because of the immediacy of modern technology, once your
- 27:32Speaker 1: gift is calculated and processed, a child begins to eat.

- 28:26Speaker 6: Here.
- 28:26Speaker 3: He is from New York, Zach Kevin Kevin McCullough.
- 28:33Speaker 1: All right, welcome back, Kevin McCullough, That Kevin Show, that
- 28:37Speaker 1: kevinshow dot Com. Everything online there. We never put anything
- 28:40Speaker 1: behind the paywall, unlike other people in the talk radio business.
- 28:43Speaker 1: We want you to have access to all of it.
- 28:45Speaker 1: And thank you, thank you, thank you. Four hundred and
- 28:47Speaker 1: nineteen cities now with us Monday through Sunday and just
- 28:51Speaker 1: continually continually grateful for your interest. Christine Nicholas rejoins us
- 28:57Speaker 1: on Fridays. She is the well I coined her the
- 29:01Speaker 1: first Lady of Tourism of New York many years ago,
- 29:05Speaker 1: and she didn't like that name, so she was like,
- 29:07Speaker 1: don't do that, and then I just kept calling her
- 29:09Speaker 1: that anyway, and eventually she was like, okay with it.
- 29:11Speaker 2: So anyway, first, well, do I have a choice, Actually,
- 29:14Speaker 2: I mean.
- 29:15Speaker 1: Dean welcome back. It's good to see you. Well, thank you,
- 29:17Speaker 1: thank you your full name right like you're you're the
- 29:19Speaker 1: most important citizen when it comes to tourism.
- 29:21Speaker 6: Well, that's very sweet of you. Yeah, I definitely have
- 29:24Speaker 6: some tourism chops. But I think maybe it harkens back to,
- 29:29Speaker 6: you know, when we were occupied by the British, now
- 29:32Speaker 6: that we're celebrating our two fiftieth.
- 29:34Speaker 1: When you say ladies, because I respect my female co host.
- 29:39Speaker 10: You were called lady back then, and or you were
- 29:42Speaker 10: called something else.
- 29:42Speaker 6: So it kind of just irked me because I would
- 29:44Speaker 6: have been one of those patriots who would have liked ladies. Yes,
- 29:48Speaker 6: I would have had the arms and I would have been,
- 29:50Speaker 6: you know, taking over some batteries or so, along with
- 29:52Speaker 6: Alexander Hamilton and the.
- 29:54Speaker 1: Other cannons down south, making.
- 29:58Speaker 10: A stockpile of cannonballs with my.
- 30:01Speaker 6: Don't tread on Me sign flag, waving it proudly failing
- 30:05Speaker 6: of Hamilton.
- 30:06Speaker 1: Broadway is kicking off back in full swing right now
- 30:09Speaker 1: because the Tonys are looming in a couple of months
- 30:12Speaker 1: and everybody wants to get their show scenes. So for
- 30:14Speaker 1: people that live outside New York, far beyond here, but
- 30:18Speaker 1: they're thinking about coming here in the next sixty days
- 30:19Speaker 1: or so. What do they need to know about the
- 30:22Speaker 1: Broadway scene right now?
- 30:23Speaker 10: It's a very very hot scene.
- 30:26Speaker 6: And I encourage you to come and see any of
- 30:29Speaker 6: the shows on Broadway right now. I don't think there's
- 30:32Speaker 6: a dud, not one. It's all great. There's you know,
- 30:37Speaker 6: as far as the Tonys are concerned, that has to
- 30:39Speaker 6: be a show that has been running that opened after
- 30:44Speaker 6: June last year and then running up. It has to
- 30:47Speaker 6: open before May one of this year, so this is
- 30:50Speaker 6: the time of year or May fifteenth, but everything is opening.
- 30:54Speaker 6: Last night I saw the Rocky Horror Show, not the
- 30:57Speaker 6: Rocky Horror Picture Show, because that's what's shown in the
- 30:59Speaker 6: movie theaters. But the Rocky Horror Show is the original
- 31:02Speaker 6: production which started in London and then of course moved
- 31:06Speaker 6: over here to the United States. It is very funny.
- 31:09Speaker 6: Also Fallen Angels, which is with Kelly O'Hara and also
- 31:14Speaker 6: Rose Byrn, two fabulous leading ladies and they are basically, uh.
- 31:20Speaker 1: What's stay on again? But their husbands are off playing
- 31:23Speaker 1: golf and they just ended the day popping champagne and
- 31:26Speaker 1: telling stories.
- 31:26Speaker 6: And because it was in nineteen twenty four, right in
- 31:29Speaker 6: the heyday. It's in their London flat. Their neighbors and
- 31:32Speaker 6: their husbands are besties, and they go off to play
- 31:35Speaker 6: golf and they just start popping the champagne and it
- 31:39Speaker 6: just gets funnier and funnier and slapsticky, and it's and
- 31:43Speaker 6: they're in these beautiful like they dress. It's just the
- 31:46Speaker 6: two of them, but for dinner they dress in ball
- 31:48Speaker 6: gowns because that's what people did back in nineteen twenty four,
- 31:51Speaker 6: I guess, so you know it was. It was just
- 31:53Speaker 6: a lot of fun and I highly recommend mend it.
- 31:57Speaker 10: There's also you know, two strangers carry a cake.
- 32:02Speaker 6: I know it's a terrible name and it's hard to remember,
- 32:05Speaker 6: but is also fabulous, especially if you're a visitor to
- 32:08Speaker 6: New York, because that storyline is basically of a visitor
- 32:11Speaker 6: from England is coming over for his father's wedding, the
- 32:14Speaker 6: father that he has not.
- 32:16Speaker 10: Met since he was a baby. The father is marrying.
- 32:20Speaker 6: The person who is picking him up at the airport,
- 32:24Speaker 6: her sister so yes, and so they meet at the airport.
- 32:27Speaker 6: They couldn't be further from each other. I mean, he
- 32:30Speaker 6: is just one of these like movie aficionados anything about
- 32:33Speaker 6: New York. He just quotes all the movies we all
- 32:36Speaker 6: know somebody like that. He starts singing songs from the movies.
- 32:40Speaker 6: And she couldn't be less interested in New York City.
- 32:43Speaker 6: She's a barista, you know, working out like a Starbucks
- 32:46Speaker 6: minimum wage, and she just has had enough. And the
- 32:49Speaker 6: two of them get together and he really opens her
- 32:53Speaker 6: eyes to the amazing things that make New York City
- 32:55Speaker 6: so special, and she shows him some of the backside,
- 33:00Speaker 6: the back of house of New York.
- 33:03Speaker 10: But it really is sweet and engaging in a lot
- 33:05Speaker 10: of fun.
- 33:05Speaker 1: And they actually carry a cake across New York trying.
- 33:07Speaker 5: To get to your wedding.
- 33:09Speaker 6: Yes, they do, and that, of course there's some slapstick antics.
- 33:12Speaker 6: Very funny about that as well.
- 33:14Speaker 1: And about that storyline is that it reminds me a
- 33:17Speaker 1: lot because my bride and I had just been married
- 33:21Speaker 1: when we moved to the New York area. We've been
- 33:23Speaker 1: here for twenty four years, and I still have kind
- 33:29Speaker 1: of that magical glint in my eye about what a
- 33:31Speaker 1: cool city this is. Even in the tougher times that
- 33:35Speaker 1: we've had, I still tell people you've got to come
- 33:37Speaker 1: and experience New York for what it is and just
- 33:41Speaker 1: that kid like magic. I don't think I'm ever going
- 33:44Speaker 1: to lose that about this place because I just genuinely
- 33:47Speaker 1: believe that so strongly. And that's why I encourage people
- 33:50Speaker 1: that are listening. That's why I have you on the show.
- 33:51Speaker 1: I want people to come here and see for themselves
- 33:54Speaker 1: just how much fun and what a cool place it is.
- 33:57Speaker 10: Yeah, it really is.
- 33:58Speaker 6: And by the way, you know, just back onto the
- 34:02Speaker 6: Broadway circuit if you want to see people who you know,
- 34:05Speaker 6: there's a lot of stars on Broadway right now.
- 34:08Speaker 10: You've got Death of a Salesman. You've got Leah.
- 34:11Speaker 6: Michelle in Chess, Adrian Brodie in The Fear of Thirteen.
- 34:17Speaker 6: You know who else is Daniel rose Burn Kelly But yeah,
- 34:22Speaker 6: so you know you can't. Oh and also Rachel Drench
- 34:25Speaker 6: last night in Rocky Horror that opened up and she's
- 34:29Speaker 6: just hilarious and pulls it all together.
- 34:31Speaker 1: So you know you'll you ever run at eateries through
- 34:35Speaker 1: the city, because I've run. I've run into Rachel probably
- 34:38Speaker 1: ten or twelve times over the last twenty years, and
- 34:41Speaker 1: every time I do, she's always with a huge crowd
- 34:43Speaker 1: of people. They are having the time of their lives.
- 34:47Speaker 1: At the party that's there at the table, that's like
- 34:49Speaker 1: somewhere in the center of the restaurant whatever, wherever we
- 34:51Speaker 1: meet him at or we just see him at. And
- 34:54Speaker 1: she's always like, she's as funny now as she was
- 34:58Speaker 1: when she was on SNL. But I think she does
- 35:00Speaker 1: most of it and just these gatherings of people that.
- 35:02Speaker 5: She goes to dinner with.
- 35:03Speaker 1: Yeah, and I kid you not, at least a dozen
- 35:05Speaker 1: times over twenty years we've run into her.
- 35:09Speaker 10: Out and she said, well, after the show. I bumped
- 35:11Speaker 10: into her last night at the hard Rock Cafe.
- 35:13Speaker 9: So there you go.
- 35:15Speaker 1: Yeah, she is out to the party with her wherever
- 35:17Speaker 1: it is. All right, Well, Christine, thank you. And if
- 35:20Speaker 1: you are coming to New York, the Macy's Flower Show
- 35:24Speaker 1: is in effect right now. I've known women that have
- 35:26Speaker 1: traveled from southern California to New York City just for
- 35:31Speaker 1: the Macy's Flower Show. Why is that so special?
- 35:33Speaker 10: It's a tradition and it goes until May tenth, and
- 35:37Speaker 10: it is all day. It's free. By the way, all
- 35:40Speaker 10: you need to do is go to Macy's in.
- 35:41Speaker 1: Herald Square just decked it out in nothing min gosh.
- 35:44Speaker 6: And yes, and different designers participate in this, so you're
- 35:48Speaker 6: really seeing the artistic, just fabulous work of many of
- 35:52Speaker 6: these designers. It's on the first floor with you know,
- 35:54Speaker 6: usually the perfumes, but the perfume pales run the scent
- 35:57Speaker 6: of these now, yeah, right.
- 35:59Speaker 1: Now, they got all flowers. All right, Christine, thank you,
- 36:02Speaker 1: have a great weekend. Come all right back that Kevin Show.
- 36:05Speaker 7: Let's chick around for more of that Kevin next serving
- 36:27Speaker 7: it up with a no drink minimum. It's that Kevin Show.
- 36:34Speaker 1: All right, Kevin mccallaugh, glad to have you with us.
- 36:36Speaker 1: Welcome back. I forgot friends, earlier in the hour, when
- 36:39Speaker 1: I was telling you about Food for the Poor, I
- 36:41Speaker 1: forgot to mention that you can click through on that
- 36:44Speaker 1: kevinshow dot com to the Food for the Poor banner,
- 36:47Speaker 1: which should be up. You can text the word hunger
- 36:51Speaker 1: to five one five five five. You can also give
- 36:54Speaker 1: that way, or you can call eight five five nine
- 36:57Speaker 1: zero seven four six seven three. And however you give
- 37:01Speaker 1: your gift, if you give it this hour, it will
- 37:04Speaker 1: be matched child for child. So whatever you give, if
- 37:08Speaker 1: you give one hundred and fifty dollars, normally that would
- 37:10Speaker 1: take care of two children for the entire next year,
- 37:13Speaker 1: all the food and all the water that they need
- 37:15Speaker 1: for the entire next year, two meals a day, all
- 37:18Speaker 1: the drinking water that they can have, and it's clean,
- 37:20Speaker 1: it's purified, it's good for them. It's not nasty. One
- 37:23Speaker 1: hundred and fifty dollars two kids for the entire year.
- 37:27Speaker 1: But right now someone will match that if you call,
- 37:30Speaker 1: and that's going to double the impact. You're going to
- 37:33Speaker 1: reach four kids instead of two eight five five nine
- 37:36Speaker 1: zero seven four six seven three eight five five nine
- 37:38Speaker 1: zero seven four six seven three. And I would love
- 37:41Speaker 1: to just like do so well at this friends with you.
- 37:45Speaker 1: I would love to make such a difference with you
- 37:48Speaker 1: that we just we blow away all of our fellow
- 37:52Speaker 1: talk show hosts at Salem Media. I know my buddy
- 37:55Speaker 1: Mike Callagher, he really gets excited about this campaign, and
- 37:58Speaker 1: you know, he's always like talking smack to Hewitt and
- 38:00Speaker 1: some of the others about how many, how many kids
- 38:03Speaker 1: he feeds and so forth. I'd love to show him
- 38:06Speaker 1: that real Christians really do care about the impact. And
- 38:11Speaker 1: that's the beautiful thing about Food for the Poor. It
- 38:13Speaker 1: is a Christian ministry that has been in place for
- 38:16Speaker 1: forty five years in these eighteen countries, and you're gonna
- 38:20Speaker 1: not only give food and clean drinking water to that child,
- 38:23Speaker 1: but that child will be introduced to Jesus at the
- 38:26Speaker 1: same time. So eight five five, nine oh seven four
- 38:28Speaker 1: six seven three, and if you call this hour, every
- 38:31Speaker 1: gift we get will be matched. You give five thousand dollars,
- 38:36Speaker 1: you're going to feed, however many kids that is you're
- 38:38Speaker 1: gonna feed, you're going to double that in terms of
- 38:41Speaker 1: the food in the water that reaches and how many
- 38:43Speaker 1: children are benefited by that. Friends, it's just going to
- 38:45Speaker 1: make such a huge difference, So please don't put it off.
- 38:48Speaker 1: We have until the end of April basically to accomplish
- 38:52Speaker 1: our goal. I'd love to hit our goal in the
- 38:54Speaker 1: next couple of weeks. Just have everybody say, okay, let's go,
- 38:58Speaker 1: let's do it. Eight five five nine zero seven four
- 39:01Speaker 1: six seven three eight five five nine zero seven four
- 39:04Speaker 1: six seven three. But seven hundred and twenty children are
- 39:07Speaker 1: going hungry today, and if we step up and make
- 39:11Speaker 1: that gift, then a name will come off that list
- 39:14Speaker 1: and that number will dwindle. And I want to get
- 39:15Speaker 1: that number down all the way to zero as fast
- 39:18Speaker 1: as we can eight five five nine zero seven four
- 39:21Speaker 1: six seven three eight five five nine zero seven four
- 39:24Speaker 1: six seven three. This is this is a part of
- 39:26Speaker 1: my show. We do good all the time. We believe
- 39:29Speaker 1: in doing good. We believe. One of the things I
- 39:31Speaker 1: tell my kids when I drop them off at school
- 39:33Speaker 1: in the morning, the last thing they hear from their
- 39:35Speaker 1: dad besides I love you, is be good and do good.
- 39:41Speaker 1: And I believe that as Christians, because the Holy Spirit
- 39:44Speaker 1: lives within their heart, they have the ability to be
- 39:47Speaker 1: their identity can be good, and out of that identity,
- 39:53Speaker 1: what they do with their actions can then show that
- 39:56Speaker 1: their actions are consistent with their identity that they will
- 39:59Speaker 1: then do good. But you can't do it backwards. You
- 40:03Speaker 1: can't do good and then become good. You got to
- 40:05Speaker 1: be good and then out of being good, you do good.
- 40:08Speaker 1: And that's what I drill into their head every single
- 40:10Speaker 1: days they're getting out of the car. Okay, I love you,
- 40:12Speaker 1: your dad loves you. Now be good and do good today.
- 40:16Speaker 1: And they always say the same thing back, Okay, dad,
- 40:18Speaker 1: you be good and do good too. Isn't that the best?
- 40:23Speaker 1: Like I'm getting challenged by my ten and thirteen year
- 40:27Speaker 1: old to do the very thing that I'm challenging them
- 40:29Speaker 1: to do. I think that's the way it's supposed to work,
- 40:33Speaker 1: that we spur one another. What does the scripture say,
- 40:35Speaker 1: spur one another on to love and what good deeds.
- 40:39Speaker 1: Let's do that together. Eight five five, nine oh seven,
- 40:42Speaker 1: four six seven three. Feed a couple of children for
- 40:46Speaker 1: one hundred and fifty dollars for the next year, and
- 40:48Speaker 1: give them all the water that they need. But right now,
- 40:50Speaker 1: if you do it, that will be match dollar for
- 40:51Speaker 1: dollar eight five five nine oh seven, four six seven three.
- 40:54Speaker 1: Or go do that kevinshow dot com and click the
- 40:57Speaker 1: banner at the top.
- 40:57Speaker 5: Of the page.
- 41:12Speaker 3: Somewhere in the bowels of the City that Never sleeps.
- 41:15Speaker 2: Kevin McCullough, radio host with Salem Medium.
- 41:18Speaker 3: Is a man also not sleeping.
- 41:22Speaker 1: In the Color and that guy would like a word
- 41:25Speaker 1: with you. Many of you know him from its books
- 41:27Speaker 1: for Damas.
- 41:28Speaker 3: Of course, that Kevin Show is going to be great.
- 41:30Speaker 1: The only thing that could be greater, of course, would
- 41:32Speaker 1: be that Donald Show.
- 41:33Speaker 5: But we don't have that.
- 41:33Speaker 4: So we have that Kevin Show featuring the music of
- 41:37Speaker 4: Dick Tunney and the Dream in Color Orchestraw.
- 41:42Speaker 3: Straight at him.
- 41:51Speaker 4: Everything you need to know about the top headlines of
- 41:54Speaker 4: the day and a perspective that will give you some
- 41:57Speaker 4: eternity to it. Plus tickled tips for family life, spiritual life,
- 42:03Speaker 4: and good old regular life. It's Kevin McCullough Monday through
- 42:08Speaker 4: Friday on.
- 42:10Speaker 5: That Kevin Show.
- 42:17Speaker 4: And now from the Connors in Sullivan Broadcast Studios. The
- 42:21Speaker 4: man who is not what he wants to be, that
- 42:24Speaker 4: is way grateful, that is not who.
- 42:26Speaker 8: He used to be.
- 42:28Speaker 1: Here, Kevin McCullough, glad to have you with us. Hour
- 42:36Speaker 1: two is off and running final hour of That Kevin
- 42:39Speaker 1: Show for the weekday edition kicking off, and we've got
- 42:42Speaker 1: a big hour straight ahead. Doctor Geena Aladdin's gonna be here.
- 42:45Speaker 1: We're going to talk a little bit about the initiative
- 42:48Speaker 1: of reading the Bible to the nation and whether or
- 42:50Speaker 1: not that is of value just inherently doing it, regardless
- 42:54Speaker 1: of kind of who's reading the words. And there's some
- 42:56Speaker 1: other things that I want to get into, but I
- 42:57Speaker 1: also want you to know that I will be reading
- 42:59Speaker 1: part of that. About five hundred of us were asked
- 43:02Speaker 1: to be national readers for this, including the President, the
- 43:06Speaker 1: Secretary of Well to Speaker of the House. I believe
- 43:11Speaker 1: the Secretary of Defense also read a passage, and some
- 43:13Speaker 1: of the other administration members. But Hollywood people, sports people,
- 43:18Speaker 1: music people, radio talk people, we have all come together
- 43:23Speaker 1: this week at the Museum of the Bible in Washington,
- 43:26Speaker 1: d C. To proclaim God's word to the nation. And
- 43:30Speaker 1: I hope, friend, that it has a repercussive benefit to
- 43:34Speaker 1: the life of who we are as a country. I
- 43:35Speaker 1: think we definitely need it, and so glad to be
- 43:38Speaker 1: reading Fir Timothy fourth through on Timothy six, coming up
- 43:43Speaker 1: this Saturday afternoon and evening. All Right, here's the thing,
- 43:47Speaker 1: and the thing is this yesterday. I'm just I'm really
- 43:51Speaker 1: disappointed with Senator Well, Senators Mkowski, Senator Collins, Senator McConnell,
- 44:00Speaker 1: and Senator Tillis. This was a vote that they cast
- 44:07Speaker 1: on an attempt to bring about the Save America Act
- 44:10Speaker 1: to the reconciliation bill that they have attempted to pass
- 44:16Speaker 1: on the on the spending budget stuff that got the
- 44:23Speaker 1: border patrol and the other things passed that they were
- 44:25Speaker 1: trying to attach that, and those four senator, those four
- 44:28Speaker 1: Republican senators voted against it. Friends, I don't understand, and
- 44:32Speaker 1: I'm going to be very very obnoxious about this. I
- 44:35Speaker 1: don't understand how any sitting Republican and most sitting Democrats
- 44:41Speaker 1: can vote against the Save America Act in any form.
- 44:48Speaker 1: The Save America Act asks for two things, that everyone
- 44:52Speaker 1: who registers to vote have proof of citizenship a birth certificate, passport,
- 45:01Speaker 1: legal ID, real ID one that vouches for who you
- 45:04Speaker 1: are in a reliable way, that when you register to vote,
- 45:08Speaker 1: that when you for the first time before you vote,
- 45:09Speaker 1: when you go to register, that you use that to
- 45:12Speaker 1: verify who you are in your identity. The only other
- 45:16Speaker 1: thing that it does, the only other thing that it
- 45:18Speaker 1: asks is that then when you do go to vote,
- 45:20Speaker 1: you bring that ID with you so that you can
- 45:23Speaker 1: verify to the person that's there, yep, see it's me
- 45:25Speaker 1: and I'm here to vote, and friends, I've been doing
- 45:28Speaker 1: this voluntarily anyway. Sometimes it annoys some of the people
- 45:31Speaker 1: that are at my polling station, but I don't care.
- 45:33Speaker 1: I want them to know that I'm an actual citizen,
- 45:36Speaker 1: that I'm actually who I say I am, and that
- 45:37Speaker 1: I'm actually there to exercise my constitutional duty and freedom.
- 45:41Speaker 1: How a cohort of Senate Republicans can join with the
- 45:46Speaker 1: Democrats to sink This is just reprehensible. And it's all
- 45:51Speaker 1: the usual suspects. Tillis, Murkowski, Collins, and McConnell. They all
- 45:56Speaker 1: hate Trump. They all think that just because Trump's attached something,
- 46:00Speaker 1: it must be bad. They don't give it any serious
- 46:04Speaker 1: consideration to what they are supposed to be doing, which
- 46:09Speaker 1: is exercising their powers as senators to make the world
- 46:13Speaker 1: a better place. They're not doing any of the stuff
- 46:17Speaker 1: that really is embodied in their oath of office. And
- 46:20Speaker 1: when you have the opportunity, as this group does, to
- 46:27Speaker 1: use this legislation safeguarding the American vote. That's what the
- 46:33Speaker 1: Save Act stands for, safeguarding American voter eligibility. You know
- 46:38Speaker 1: what that means. It means not letting people who are
- 46:42Speaker 1: not Americans vote in American elections. It means safeguarding making
- 46:48Speaker 1: it safe for that vote to be cast and to
- 46:52Speaker 1: be counted properly. Friends, It's a heinous reality to understand
- 47:00Speaker 1: that just in Georgia alone in twenty twenty, there were
- 47:04Speaker 1: three hundred thousand votes that under audit got thrown out
- 47:10Speaker 1: of that election, and that if there were a majority
- 47:16Speaker 1: of those three hundred thousand that were cast for Biden,
- 47:22Speaker 1: and we don't know the exact numbers on that, but
- 47:24Speaker 1: I'm going to guess the overwhelming majority of those three
- 47:27Speaker 1: hundred votes were for Biden. Then that would have overcome
- 47:30Speaker 1: the eleven thousand vote difference that they had for the
- 47:32Speaker 1: whole state for the presidential election, and if he had
- 47:35Speaker 1: won Georgia, he would have won the presidency. Same thing
- 47:37Speaker 1: could be said in Arizona with all of the hygiinks
- 47:42Speaker 1: that took that went down in Maricopa County around Phoenix,
- 47:45Speaker 1: where you had all of the you know, the mysterious
- 47:48Speaker 1: voting machines not you know, processing Republican ballots, but Democrat
- 47:52Speaker 1: ballots were going through Fine. I know that people don't
- 47:55Speaker 1: want to, you know, revisit twenty twenty. I don't really either.
- 47:59Speaker 1: I think it's kind of a waste time. But this
- 48:01Speaker 1: legislation would prevent those things from happening again. That plus
- 48:05Speaker 1: a Supreme Court win on the issue that they'd heard
- 48:08Speaker 1: earlier this year, and we're waiting for their ruling to
- 48:10Speaker 1: come down any day now. But that an election day
- 48:12Speaker 1: means day in the law.
- 48:13Speaker 3: It means day.
- 48:14Speaker 1: It doesn't mean week, month, years, anything else. It means day.
- 48:18Speaker 1: That election day is the day that the election is decided,
- 48:23Speaker 1: instead of oh, we're going to suspend voting going into
- 48:26Speaker 1: ten PM, and we see how far behind we are,
- 48:28Speaker 1: and then all these ballots show up that we're like,
- 48:30Speaker 1: you know, they were just late. Sorry, we don't want
- 48:33Speaker 1: a lot like not count people's votes.
- 48:35Speaker 8: Do we.
- 48:37Speaker 1: All that garbage, all those hyjinks, all that stuff can
- 48:44Speaker 1: be removed from the system if we just passed the
- 48:48Speaker 1: Save America Act. So I don't understand Senator McConnell, I
- 48:54Speaker 1: don't understand Senator Collins. I don't understand Senator Murkowski or
- 48:58Speaker 1: Senator Tillis for voting against the very thing that would
- 49:05Speaker 1: fix our elections. How do you justify that. I'd love
- 49:10Speaker 1: for you to call their offices and ask them that
- 49:12Speaker 1: the phone number to the Senate switchboard is two O
- 49:15Speaker 1: two two two four thirty one twenty one to zero
- 49:18Speaker 1: two two two four thirty one twenty one two zero
- 49:21Speaker 1: two two two four thirty one twenty one. That's the
- 49:23Speaker 1: number you can actually ask them, Hey, would you please
- 49:27Speaker 1: explain to me why you decided to not vote to
- 49:34Speaker 1: have clean elections. It's to me, it is just obnoxiously inexplicable,
- 49:44Speaker 1: obnoxiously inexplicable. I'm very excited. We've been asking you to
- 49:49Speaker 1: register for your chance to win a mug from the

- 51:20Speaker 3: Here he is from New York exactly, Kevin.
- 51:25Speaker 1: Kevin McCullough, all right, welcome back. It's the Friday edition
- 51:32Speaker 1: Kevin McCullough, that Kevin Show, that kevinshow dot com. Thank
- 51:35Speaker 1: you for being here every single day. You continue to
- 51:38Speaker 1: tell your friends about it. We continue to grow four
- 51:40Speaker 1: hundred and nineteen stations now Monday through Sunday.
- 51:44Speaker 5: Appreciate that.
- 51:45Speaker 1: And this week you heard me say on Monday that
- 51:47Speaker 1: there was a big to do being kicked off at
- 51:50Speaker 1: the Museum of the Bible in our nation's capital, where
- 51:54Speaker 1: the entire scripture will be read cover to cover from
- 51:58Speaker 1: Monday through Saturday, minute night of this coming weekend. And
- 52:02Speaker 1: lots of different people from lots of different walks of life, CEOs,
- 52:06Speaker 1: TV people, pastors, politicians, Speaker of the House, the President,
- 52:13Speaker 1: and others. Have all participated in the public reading of
- 52:17Speaker 1: God's Word. What does it mean to America? Let's talk
- 52:21Speaker 1: to doctor Gena A Louden about that, who you can
- 52:23Speaker 1: see every weekday morning on Real America's Voice. Doctor Gina,
- 52:27Speaker 1: you posted a little something about a president reading scripture
- 52:30Speaker 1: to the nation. You know, I'm sure there are people
- 52:33Speaker 1: that read portions of Scripture this week that may not
- 52:38Speaker 1: even believe what they're reading. But the fact that the
- 52:42Speaker 1: Bible is being read publicly pronounced over our country for
- 52:47Speaker 1: this entire week. I just got to give Bunny Pounds
- 52:49Speaker 1: and the whole Christians Engaged group a lot of credit
- 52:52Speaker 1: for this, because I think it's a good thing. What's
- 52:54Speaker 1: your take on it?
- 52:56Speaker 11: Absolutely love it, Absolutely love it, and I think it's
- 53:00Speaker 11: a call to all of us to remember to actually
- 53:03Speaker 11: read our Bible. And I'm just going to challenge your audience, which,
- 53:06Speaker 11: first of all, I want to congratulate your massive expansion
- 53:10Speaker 11: and ever broadening syndication. I'm so excited for you, Kevin,
- 53:14Speaker 11: and you deserve it. Your audience deserves it. I just
- 53:17Speaker 11: want to get that out of the way because I
- 53:19Speaker 11: think it's so critical, but I love it. You know,
- 53:22Speaker 11: we never I just never thought in my lifetime that
- 53:26Speaker 11: we would be hearing the Bible read from the Oval Office.
- 53:31Speaker 11: I just think it is beautiful, and regardless of what
- 53:34Speaker 11: you think about the war, regardless of what you think
- 53:36Speaker 11: about President Trump, even personally, this is just a beautiful
- 53:41Speaker 11: moment in our history, and I think we need to
- 53:43Speaker 11: recognize it as such such. But it is also a
- 53:45Speaker 11: challenge to each and every one of us. Kevin, because
- 53:48Speaker 11: if I'm honest, the days in a week where I
- 53:52Speaker 11: physically touched the paper of a Bible, they're numbered. I'm
- 53:57Speaker 11: really good about. I listened to my scripture youtubes at night,
- 54:02Speaker 11: I read my Bible on my phone quite often. I
- 54:06Speaker 11: do a Bible verse on my show every single day.
- 54:09Speaker 3: But to tangibly physically touch.
- 54:11Speaker 11: The pages of a Bible, that's what I want to
- 54:14Speaker 11: challenge this audience with right now. And then I want
- 54:17Speaker 11: people to go one stone, because here we are Christians
- 54:21Speaker 11: in this moment, and we have so much to gain
- 54:23Speaker 11: and so much to challenge ourselves with in these critical times,
- 54:27Speaker 11: and that is to consider what version of the Bible
- 54:29Speaker 11: you're using. If you have your whole life used a
- 54:33Speaker 11: milky version of the Bible that's translated upon translation upon translation.
- 54:38Speaker 11: Maybe challenge yourself to take a look at the Geneva
- 54:40Speaker 11: Bible prior translations right. Maybe challenge yourself to look a
- 54:44Speaker 11: little deeper at doctrine. Maybe challenge yourself to look at
- 54:46Speaker 11: Bible history in white certain books of the Bible were eliminated.
- 54:50Speaker 11: Maybe Protestant Reformation look at those kinds of things. I
- 54:54Speaker 11: just think it's easy and interesting time for all of
- 54:57Speaker 11: us as Christians to reflect and go a level deeper.
- 55:00Speaker 1: I think that you're right. And someone else that thinks
- 55:02Speaker 1: that you're right is my sixteen year old son, who
- 55:04Speaker 1: has now passed me in height, and he passed his
- 55:06Speaker 1: mom about a year ago. But he's been he's been
- 55:10Speaker 1: for the last good month. He's been stuck on you know,
- 55:15Speaker 1: what we believe as a family versus you know, levitical
- 55:19Speaker 1: practices of He's like deep in Leviticus. And we had
- 55:22Speaker 1: an we had an appointment where we had to go
- 55:24Speaker 1: to the city the other day and it was about
- 55:26Speaker 1: an hour car rite in about an hour and a
- 55:28Speaker 1: half car ride home, and uh, the whole time he
- 55:32Speaker 1: was like, Dad, I got another question for you. What
- 55:35Speaker 1: what do we believe about this?
- 55:36Speaker 5: And why?
- 55:37Speaker 1: And I love I love this this the fact that
- 55:41Speaker 1: the Scripture reading is happening before the nation this week,
- 55:45Speaker 1: because it's it is raising awareness about scripture. It is
- 55:49Speaker 1: it is once again reminding people that scripture exists. It
- 55:52Speaker 1: is once again pointing people to the truth that is
- 55:55Speaker 1: found in scripture. And his people are, you know, wrestling
- 55:59Speaker 1: with this in the mainstream. I welcome all your challenges
- 56:03Speaker 1: to believers as well, because the more that we can
- 56:06Speaker 1: help them go deeper, uh, the better. It's it's gonna
- 56:09Speaker 1: end up being. And I'm scheduled to read on Saturday.
- 56:14Speaker 1: I think it's sometimes Saturday mid afternoon. But I'm I've
- 56:18Speaker 1: got huge honor. I've got first Timothy, First Timothy six,
- 56:23Speaker 1: which is kind of an interesting, uh set of instructions
- 56:27Speaker 1: from Paul to Timothy.
- 56:28Speaker 7: Uh.
- 56:29Speaker 1: You know, Timothy was the last person that Paul wrote to,
- 56:31Speaker 1: although that was tewod Timothy. That was his final book.
- 56:34Speaker 1: But this was the foundation of the church and he
- 56:37Speaker 1: was getting a young pastor trying to be built up
- 56:40Speaker 1: in his work. And it's it's gonna be it's gonna
- 56:43Speaker 1: be fun now, doctor Gina. A lot of people will say, well,
- 56:48Speaker 1: you guys are hypocrites because you all read this stuff,
- 56:51Speaker 1: but none of you live it out perfectly. What would
- 56:53Speaker 1: you say to that, we're sinners?
- 56:57Speaker 11: And if we didn't, if we weren't sinners, we wouldn't.
- 56:59Speaker 2: Need to say your right.
- 57:00Speaker 1: It's how you get the club.
- 57:03Speaker 11: It's yeah, it's it's kind of part of the of
- 57:04Speaker 11: the human condition is to be a sinner. The question
- 57:07Speaker 11: is are you a redeemed sinner or are you just
- 57:10Speaker 11: lost in your own sin? And that really becomes the
- 57:12Speaker 11: question when you're grappling with eternity and Christianity and all
- 57:15Speaker 11: those things. I want to go one step further, though, Kevin,
- 57:18Speaker 11: and and go just to a little deeper spot if
- 57:21Speaker 11: we can considering current events. This is this is what
- 57:24Speaker 11: really woke me up to how Christians aren't actually reading
- 57:28Speaker 11: our Bibles. And I'm really speaking to the mirror right now,
- 57:32Speaker 11: speaking to myself largely, but I realized that a lot
- 57:35Speaker 11: of the things, you know, we're looking at, you know,
- 57:37Speaker 11: the controversial, the Fisher, the split that's happening in Maga
- 57:41Speaker 11: right now, the rest of it Israel, you know, the
- 57:45Speaker 11: whole let's just call.
- 57:46Speaker 2: It, Candace Tucker, Megan.
- 57:48Speaker 11: You know a thing going on, it's it's it's something.
- 57:53Speaker 5: And I realized.
- 57:53Speaker 11: As I was talking to people about this, people kept
- 57:55Speaker 11: saying to me, well, you just have to look at
- 57:57Speaker 11: what the Bible says about Israel, and what about says
- 58:00Speaker 11: about Israel. I knew one scripture off the top of
- 58:03Speaker 11: my head about what the Bible says about Israel. But
- 58:06Speaker 11: I'll tell you what the Bible talks a lot about Israel.
- 58:10Speaker 11: We have to be so careful, I think, no matter
- 58:13Speaker 11: what the topic is, regardless of like I said, regardless
- 58:16Speaker 11: of Israel, regardless.
- 58:16Speaker 10: Of the current topic.
- 58:18Speaker 11: But every time we think we know what the Bible
- 58:21Speaker 11: says about something because it's been quoted to us over
- 58:25Speaker 11: and over and over again by other people through other translations,
- 58:30Speaker 11: let's go directly to scripture, do your own exe Jesus
- 58:34Speaker 11: on this and come out with what the Bible actually
- 58:38Speaker 11: says about that topic, rather than remembering what someone told
- 58:42Speaker 11: you the Bible said and over and over again. It's
- 58:44Speaker 11: really critical right now, Kevin, More than ever, I think
- 58:47Speaker 11: the remnant is becoming more obvious every day, and I.
- 58:50Speaker 1: Think I just want to echo that and say that
- 58:52Speaker 1: proof texting is not Bible study, trying to find something
- 58:57Speaker 1: that supports your premise without at the thing in context.
- 59:01Speaker 1: That's what proof texting is. It's like, Oh, I have
- 59:03Speaker 1: this idea, where's a verse that supports it. That's almost
- 59:06Speaker 1: always wrong.
- 59:07Speaker 3: Wow.
- 59:08Speaker 1: The only way to really dig into what the meaning
- 59:11Speaker 1: of scripture is, and this is what we talk about
- 59:13Speaker 1: in the second segment every day on the show in
- 59:15Speaker 1: the first hour, is getting into the text, verse by
- 59:20Speaker 1: verse context of what was going on at the time
- 59:22Speaker 1: when the author wrote it, who his audience was, why
- 59:26Speaker 1: he was saying what he said, what it meant to
- 59:29Speaker 1: the people at the time, and what does it mean
- 59:31Speaker 1: to us today. If you're not going through that expository
- 59:35Speaker 1: list of questions about every passage that you're studying, you're
- 59:39Speaker 1: just proof texting. You're just you're just saying, you're just
- 59:41Speaker 1: taking something that sounds good and slapping it to whatever
- 59:44Speaker 1: you want it to mean. And when people do the exegesis,
- 59:49Speaker 1: as you were just saying, it is good to be
- 59:51Speaker 1: discerning because a lot of things that are taken, like
- 59:53Speaker 1: you know, summaries and summations of passages instead of thought
- 59:58Speaker 1: for thought or phrase for translation, you're going to miss
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: a lot.
- 1:00:02Speaker 6: Of the meaning.
- 1:00:04Speaker 11: Absolutely true, Absolutely true. And I think one of the
- 1:00:07Speaker 11: things that God gives us is that he does say
- 1:00:10Speaker 11: in the Bible and again looking up for yourself, but
- 1:00:13Speaker 11: that when you do pray for wisdom, he will grant it.
- 1:00:16Speaker 11: And so I think if we if we're careful to
- 1:00:18Speaker 11: approach it, you know, not just praying for wisdom as
- 1:00:21Speaker 11: we go into you know, diving deeper into scripture, but
- 1:00:25Speaker 11: that we would see that day what God wants to
- 1:00:28Speaker 11: expose to us, because we as Christians have assumed a
- 1:00:32Speaker 11: lot of lies, a lot of lies. There's just a
- 1:00:36Speaker 11: demonic force out there that has a great pr campaign
- 1:00:39Speaker 11: to make us believe things about the Bible that simply
- 1:00:41Speaker 11: are not true. And I think we just have to
- 1:00:43Speaker 11: be And I'm just discovering this as in decades old Christian.
- 1:00:48Speaker 11: It's hard for me to believe how much I believe
- 1:00:50Speaker 11: that simply is not true that I thought was very scriptural.
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: So it's been really.
- 1:00:55Speaker 11: Eye opening for me. And I just hope for your
- 1:00:57Speaker 11: audience that they can have those moments too. And I
- 1:01:00Speaker 11: think that as the President and this White House have
- 1:01:04Speaker 11: given us a week to actually put our hands on
- 1:01:08Speaker 11: the pages of a Bible and read it, that if
- 1:01:10Speaker 11: we take it that one level deeper, it will just
- 1:01:15Speaker 11: I think it will transform whole belief systems, and it
- 1:01:20Speaker 11: could it could transform where we are as Christians in
- 1:01:25Speaker 11: this world right now, because as I said, it looks
- 1:01:27Speaker 11: to me like the Remnant is becoming ever more clear.
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: Yes, no, I appreciate that. All right, Doctor Gina, thank
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: you for being with us as always. And friends, if
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: you go to the Museum of the Bible's website, they
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: have the whole schedule there, or you can just google
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: America Reads the Bible. But again, I'm sometime on Saturday,
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: sometime after twelve noon. I don't know exactly what time
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: it is, but you'll see it as it happens, Doctor Gena.
- 1:01:50Speaker 11: We'll send me the video Kevin, and I'll use it
- 1:01:52Speaker 11: on my show for my Bible firstus the day, So send.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: It to me, all right, all right, doctor Gina, thank
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: you as always. More coming up, stay with us that
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: Kevin Show.
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: Let's stick around for more of that Kevin next.
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: Here he is from New York. That I Ken Kevin McCullough.
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: And welcome back to Times Square. It's Kevin McCullough from
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: that Kevin Show. And as we have been telling you
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: for some time, we are in the process of doing
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: something very special and when I say special, I'm you know,
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: I think of I just I just love the fact
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: that we get to focus on helping children in this
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: in this day and age, particularly in this way, particularly
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: these children. You've heard me talking already, uh for some
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: time for some of you, but for others of you
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: that have just started in recent days hearing you've heard
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: me talk about the work of Food for the Poor
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: and the children that they reach and the lives that
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: they touch. Well, I'm excited that once again we have
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: the opportunity to actually feed a number of kids for
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: the coming year and to make sure that they have
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: clean drinking water in the days to come. It's a
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: very big lift to try to help seven hundred and
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: twenty children. But when we're talking about these children in particular,
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: and I've been on some of the trips where Food
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: for the Poor would take us into the less glamorous
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: portions of the Caribbean, let's put it that way, the
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: countries and the portions of countries that the tourists don't
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: go to. None of the brochures advertise. But what you're
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: talking about is gross poverty, real true malnutrition, children that
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: are just aching and hurting on a daily basis to
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: have a little bit of something to eat. So talk
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: to us about what kinds of conditions these kids are
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: living in, whether it's Squatemala or Haiti or whatever, and
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: take us inside their life for a little bit.
- 1:04:05Speaker 12: Well, Kevin, thanks for having us on today, and thank
- 1:04:07Speaker 12: you to your audience for letting us in not only
- 1:04:09Speaker 12: into their homes, but also.
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: Into their heart.
- 1:04:11Speaker 12: And unfortunately, in the fifteen countries that Food for the
- 1:04:14Speaker 12: Poor serves, poverty really doesn't have a different face. It's
- 1:04:18Speaker 12: almost the same one, and it is a kid's face,
- 1:04:21Speaker 12: a child's face where unfortunately he doesn't know where the
- 1:04:24Speaker 12: next meal is coming from. And those are the folks
- 1:04:26Speaker 12: that we reach the most. Those are the folks that
- 1:04:29Speaker 12: pray for a daily meal. We pray for I pray
- 1:04:31Speaker 12: with my children every morning that they have a great
- 1:04:34Speaker 12: day at school, that they get to learn everything and
- 1:04:36Speaker 12: then bring it back home so they can teach us.
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: These families are praying for a daily meal.
- 1:04:40Speaker 12: That's that prayer for that daily bread, and it's to
- 1:04:43Speaker 12: get something a little bit different than they had yesterday,
- 1:04:45Speaker 12: because probably yesterday they only had a handful of rice
- 1:04:47Speaker 12: to share amongst four and most of the families that
- 1:04:50Speaker 12: we visited are a little bit more than four people
- 1:04:52Speaker 12: living in a small shack. Think about a shed, a
- 1:04:54Speaker 12: very shed that's holes in the roof. The dirt that's
- 1:04:57Speaker 12: outside is the same dirt that you find in side
- 1:05:00Speaker 12: of the home. Bugs come in and out. It's not
- 1:05:03Speaker 12: a living condition that you would have for anyone, let
- 1:05:07Speaker 12: alone a child. And those are the families that we
- 1:05:10Speaker 12: reach on a daily basis here at Food for the
- 1:05:12Speaker 12: Port and through you the the generosity of your listeners,
- 1:05:15Speaker 12: and that's what we want to reach to today. You
- 1:05:16Speaker 12: said there was a number of seven hundred and twenty children, Well,
- 1:05:18Speaker 12: imagine the faces on those seven hundred and twenty children
- 1:05:21Speaker 12: when we get to tell them you get to eat today, tomorrow,
- 1:05:24Speaker 12: the next day. And it's only for a one time gift.
- 1:05:27Speaker 12: A one time gift of one hundred and fifty dollars
- 1:05:28Speaker 12: is going to feed two children for an entire year.
- 1:05:31Speaker 12: That's three hundred and sixty five days of relief for
- 1:05:35Speaker 12: a parent. I'm a parent myself, so a relief on
- 1:05:37Speaker 12: a parent's shoulders, and as well, a child that gets
- 1:05:39Speaker 12: to grow be a child not having to go to
- 1:05:42Speaker 12: work with mom or dad or having to stay home
- 1:05:44Speaker 12: from school because there's not enough money to go around.
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: Danny, I know that there's a lot of stories that
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: you guys have. Our friend on Hell, who was at
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: the Helm of Food for the Poor for quite a
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: long time, had a classic story that he used to
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: tell all the time, and I was wonderful. You just
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: take a listen to it real quick.
- 1:06:04Speaker 8: We walked into this wretched little shack. Inside we saw
- 1:06:08Speaker 8: mother totally with her face showed every line of suffering
- 1:06:13Speaker 8: possible of a mother who feels frustrated because.
- 1:06:15Speaker 5: She can't feed her children.
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: She had two.
- 1:06:18Speaker 8: Children in the shack with her. There was a four
- 1:06:21Speaker 8: year old who was actually eating a handful of rice,
- 1:06:24Speaker 8: and the seven year old who was standing there looking
- 1:06:27Speaker 8: very woefully at his little brother who was eating.
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: And we said to the seven year old.
- 1:06:32Speaker 8: How come you're not eating also? And he said to
- 1:06:35Speaker 8: us today, it's not my turn to eat. Can you
- 1:06:41Speaker 8: imagine the pain on a mother to have to tell
- 1:06:45Speaker 8: one of her children today it's not your turn to
- 1:06:49Speaker 8: eat perhaps tomorrow. To have that complete food in security
- 1:06:56Speaker 8: where you cannot plan even one day in advance for
- 1:07:00Speaker 8: a meal for your children, that has to break a
- 1:07:04Speaker 8: mother's heart.
- 1:07:07Speaker 12: And that's one seven year old boy in Haiti, and
- 1:07:11Speaker 12: that's one of the countries out of the fifteen that
- 1:07:13Speaker 12: Food for the Poorest serves in.
- 1:07:14Speaker 3: And that right there had to be.
- 1:07:17Speaker 12: A lesson in learning, excuse me, a lesson in fairness,
- 1:07:21Speaker 12: but the hard way. And that's not impatience from a child.
- 1:07:24Speaker 12: That's not resignation from a child. That's a child having
- 1:07:27Speaker 12: to understand I'm not gonna be able to eat today.
- 1:07:29Speaker 12: Probably I'm not gonna be able to eat at all.
- 1:07:31Speaker 12: I'm gonna have to forfeit my meal, either from my
- 1:07:34Speaker 12: little sister, my little brother, or somebody who's next. And
- 1:07:37Speaker 12: then that's a reality these children are living in right now,
- 1:07:41Speaker 12: and that reality you can step in to make a difference.
- 1:07:44Speaker 12: You can be the answer to a prayer from a
- 1:07:46Speaker 12: mother last night that she doesn't have to make this
- 1:07:48Speaker 12: kind of decision on a daily basis. I understand one time,
- 1:07:51Speaker 12: maybe two, but on a daily that's not something folks
- 1:07:54Speaker 12: like that should ever live in, not here nor there.
- 1:07:57Speaker 12: And that's the reality you can step into right now.
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: Yeah, eight five, five, nine, zero, seven, four six seven three. Friends,
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: it's it's food for the poor. I've worked with them
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: for a couple of dozen years. I love these people,
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: I love their hearts, I love everything that they do,
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: and we right now can impact seven hundred and twenty lines.
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: Just like that little seven year old who had to
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: give up his food for the day so his younger
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: brother could eat because it was his term. We can
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: impact that family where two brothers get to eat two
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: meals a day. Food for the Poor can give two
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: meals a day three hundred and sixty five days for
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: the next year for a child with that gift, And
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: if you give it now in the next ten minutes,
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: it will be double. You will reach twice as many kids.
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: The impact will be twice as much because you choose
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: to give it now. Eight five five nine zero seven
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: four six seven three. Take advantage of this match and
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: make that gift right now eight five five nine zero
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: seven four six seven three, or text one hundred five
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: to one five five five, or go give online at
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: that Kevin Show dot com. Clicked a banner at the top.
- 1:09:01Speaker 3: Of the page. Here he is from New York, Kevin.
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: Kevin McCullough, all right, welcome back. It's That Kevin Show.
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: And every Friday we love to check in with Bethany
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: Mandel a blogger, journalist, columnist, author, mom, superwoman in so
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: many different ways. Bethany, always appreciate you being here with us.
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: I was looking at the headlines this morning and President
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: Nanyaho announcing yesterday during this update on the war that
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: he is in act diagnosed with cancer. How is this setting,
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: what's the latest? What are the people thinking in terms
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: of what this means to the current activities.
- 1:10:10Speaker 13: So I'm not sure how much it impacts everything that's
- 1:10:13Speaker 13: going on. He kind of held it very close to
- 1:10:16Speaker 13: the chest and didn't let it out until he had
- 1:10:19Speaker 13: had it, you know, taken care of and had had radiation.
- 1:10:23Speaker 13: I think there's some frustration with him just in general
- 1:10:25Speaker 13: in Israel, and I don't, yeah, I think that this
- 1:10:29Speaker 13: is just sort of part of it. They don't they
- 1:10:30Speaker 13: don't feel like they're they don't feel like he's a
- 1:10:34Speaker 13: straight shooter in a lot of ways, and this just
- 1:10:36Speaker 13: kind of adds to that. But in all likelihood, it
- 1:10:40Speaker 13: seems like things are actually probably okay, and and he
- 1:10:43Speaker 13: kind of waited until that was the case, until he
- 1:10:46Speaker 13: until he announced got it.
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: Let's move over to the Iranian conflict itself. What's your
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: sense of where we're at. I sense that the President
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: is really frustrated that even though he's it seems like
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: he's the only one in UH westernized society that is
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: trying to, you know, bring a sensible conclusion to this
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: thing and do so in a way that the region
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: remains strong after it's over, and that Europe and even
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: Asia on some level can have a better operating relationship
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: going forward. But it appears as though like very few
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: people care.
- 1:11:24Speaker 13: I think that's the case. I mean, I think that
- 1:11:25Speaker 13: Americans care when they go to the pump, but in general,
- 1:11:29Speaker 13: it's not it's unless you have someone deployed, it's not
- 1:11:33Speaker 13: really deeply impacting people's lives on a day to day basis,
- 1:11:36Speaker 13: except you know, for those prices. I you know, it's
- 1:11:39Speaker 13: it's hard to know sort of what's going on because
- 1:11:43Speaker 13: you know, kind of like with UH, with with the
- 1:11:46Speaker 13: Prime minister with his with his cancer diagnosis. I don't
- 1:11:49Speaker 13: think that we're getting the full the full picture here.
- 1:11:52Speaker 13: So theoretically, you know, we're out a cease fire, but
- 1:11:55Speaker 13: who knows what's really going on. I think that we'll
- 1:11:57Speaker 13: find out, we'll find out in the weeks sort of
- 1:12:01Speaker 13: what the status is right now.
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: In the last twenty four hours, the President called for
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: the Israel Lebanon ceasefire to be extended. I think it's
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: for another three weeks. What are they actually aiming to
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: accomplish there? Is that even significant or is that just
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: an appeasement towards getting the final solution ready in Iran?
- 1:12:25Speaker 13: I think that you're probably on point there. I think
- 1:12:26Speaker 13: that it's probably, you know, they want to feel a
- 1:12:29Speaker 13: cool down from the north so that they can sort
- 1:12:33Speaker 13: of take care of what's going on through the rest
- 1:12:36Speaker 13: of the country of Israel. And in order to sort
- 1:12:38Speaker 13: of achieve that, they need they need the rockets to
- 1:12:40Speaker 13: stop falling, and they need Israeli's full attention on Iran
- 1:12:45Speaker 13: in case they have to go back in in case
- 1:12:47Speaker 13: they have to do something.
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: Well at some point, and I've been reading Hugh hewittt
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: on this, but you know, the situation there is so
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: confusing in terms of even who to know to negotiate with,
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: but whoever we end up making the final deal with.
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: Part of it has to be all nuclear dust is gone,
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: not just the uranium, but everything that it's touched and
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: everything that can be turned into it. We have to
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: take possession of that and have that possession until it
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: is properly disposed of.
- 1:13:22Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:13:23Speaker 13: Yeah, because then we're just going to end up right
- 1:13:24Speaker 13: back here in another eighteen months, just like we did.
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: You know, we fought that war and we thought.
- 1:13:29Speaker 13: That their program had really been annihilated, and then it
- 1:13:32Speaker 13: turned out no, it didn't, and then we have to
- 1:13:34Speaker 13: sort of come back to this point. And we can't
- 1:13:37Speaker 13: keep doing this, especially given the fact that, you know,
- 1:13:39Speaker 13: we have a president who is willing and able to
- 1:13:41Speaker 13: do this. But he is the exception in a long
- 1:13:43Speaker 13: line of presidents who were not and I think he
- 1:13:46Speaker 13: understands that well.
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: And so many of those presidents before him talked about
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: it and kind of used it as a campaign ploy.
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: And you know, we want freedom for a rent. I
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: remember George W. Bush being, you know, like to the
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: good people of Iran, we see, we want to give
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: you freedom. And yet when it came right down to it,
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: as you said, nobody had the wherewithal to even think
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: about actually implementing anything.
- 1:14:11Speaker 10: Yeah, that's right.
- 1:14:12Speaker 13: I you know, President Trump is a unique person in
- 1:14:16Speaker 13: American history where he's willing to make these hard choices.
- 1:14:20Speaker 13: But he really he fought against a lot of people
- 1:14:22Speaker 13: in his administration this time around to achieve that. And
- 1:14:26Speaker 13: so you know, this is really do or die. This
- 1:14:29Speaker 13: is the moment where this threat needs to be eliminated,
- 1:14:33Speaker 13: and I hope that it is. I hope that he's
- 1:14:35Speaker 13: able to achieve that.
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: Do you think our relationships with Europe should change in
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: the aftermath of their kind of unwillingness to really own
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: any of the necessary action in the Strait of Horror moves?
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: And I want to I just ask that, and I
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: want everyone listening to understand this. The US doesn't need
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: the straight Europe needs it, Asian needs it, but it
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: doesn't really impact us at all. We can can develop
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: our own energy, we can pump our own oil, whatever
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: oil we get from overseas, we don't take it through
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: the Strait. We can bring it in other varieties. It's
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: not us, it's them, And they've been so abdicating of
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: any type of ownership of even getting it open.
- 1:15:17Speaker 13: Yeah, yeah, I mean there's been so many sort of
- 1:15:20Speaker 13: pain points between the the between the United States and
- 1:15:24Speaker 13: Europe during this war that it's just been clear that
- 1:15:27Speaker 13: you know, allyship can really only get you so far.
- 1:15:30Speaker 13: And this is part of what I think has brought
- 1:15:32Speaker 13: American is real much closer together during this time.
- 1:15:34Speaker 5: Is that.
- 1:15:35Speaker 13: You know, in Israel, Trump sees a true ally and
- 1:15:37Speaker 13: he said as such. You know, the Europeans don't invest
- 1:15:42Speaker 13: any of their money in self defense because they viewed
- 1:15:46Speaker 13: America as their insurance policy. And I think President Trump
- 1:15:49Speaker 13: should disiuse them of the notion that they can look
- 1:15:51Speaker 13: they can they can look at us and say, hey,
- 1:15:53Speaker 13: you got our backs because they didn't have ours when
- 1:15:56Speaker 13: we needed it.
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: They didn't have ours well. And that's even more so
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: when it comes to Israel. I feel like, I feel
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: like that the European response to October seventh was palpable,
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: could have been so much more resilient and just wasn't.
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: And I'm glad that we value the relationship to the
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: level and to the degree that we do. And it's
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: you know, it's it's gonna this will be a realignment.
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: I just hope and pray that it comes to an
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: end soon because I want the people of Iran to
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: be free. I want the region to have relative peace.
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: I'd love to see Lebanon and Israel side by side
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: without any issue anymore. And I'd love all of our
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: people to be home. That's what we're praising.
- 1:16:34Speaker 13: An amen, And I just want to note that on
- 1:16:37Speaker 13: that on the point that you made about Europeans post
- 1:16:40Speaker 13: October seventh, they really betrayed their own citizens. There were
- 1:16:43Speaker 13: a lot of citizens from European countries who had dual citizens, more.
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: Than more than US citizens.
- 1:16:49Speaker 13: Yep, and they left. They left their own citizens to
- 1:16:52Speaker 13: drive in Gaza. And it just doesn't get.
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: Lower than that, all right, Bethany Mandel. Always appreciate your insights.
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: Have a great weekend, Thank Heaven. Kevin mccalloch. Coming right
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: back to number we take.
- 1:17:02Speaker 2: Around for more of that Kevin next, serving it up
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: with a no drink minum.
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: It's that Kevin Show, all right. Kevin McCullough, very very
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: glad to have you with us. Thank you for being here.
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: Love being with you Monday through Friday. All seven hundred
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: plus affiliates that take the show Monday through Sunday. Is
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: so grateful for all of you that join us. The
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: email address is that Kevin Show at gmail dot com
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: if you want to weigh in. I also want to
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: say thank you to those of you who continue to
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: help feed and give water to the children that are
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: dying from lack of food and water in our Food
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: for the Poor effort. There were several more children helped yesterday,
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: and friends, I just think that we have until the
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: end of this month, and I believe that in doing so,
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: we could set a precedent that's been very, very difficult
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: for people to handle, you know, in terms of doing
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: what's really really good. Right now, I believe of all
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: of the Salem media hosts that are in the company,
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: I think we are somewhere around let's just say, we're
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: about two hundred children away from being somewhere in the
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: lead on that we have this month to be able
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: to do that. And it doesn't matter to me if
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: I beat my colleagues or not in terms of helping
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: the most kids. What I want to do is just
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: not leave any of the kids behind. And we've already
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: helped seven hundred plus going on near eight hundred before long.
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: Could we could we feed and clothe and give a
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: clean drinking water to a thousand children this year? That
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: would be so amazing if we could pull that off.
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: Eight fy five nine oh seven four six seven three
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: is the number. Eight five five nine zero seven four
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: six seven three. But these are children that don't have
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: food to eat on a regular basis, and when they
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: and when we take care of one for seventy five dollars,
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: that child now immediately begins to get two meals a
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: day for the next year. So they go from maybe
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: having one meal a week or every few days trying
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: to eat some boiled bark or something else like that
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: in the meantime to just satiate their hunger, going from
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: that situation into two nutritionally balanced, nutritionally fit for them meals,
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: which means that they need a lot of really simple
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: carbohydrates and lots of simple proteins that will help their
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: body overcome the malnutrition. And then it begins to help
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: them grow, which is ultimately the purpose of the food
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: is to help the child grow. Equally important, if not
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: more so, the clean drinking water allows them to now
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: have a water source that they don't have to worry
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: about being sick from. They don't have to try to
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: boil all the water that they know carry back from
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: whatever stinky place they got it from. They are now
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: able to up to ten thousand gallons a day for
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: a town have water that is in abundance and clean
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: and usable, and it's just a joy to be able
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: to hear kids say, mister, my water's delicious, Like we
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: don't think about that here, but first time a kid
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: told me that, when I was on a food for
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: the por trip, I just started bowling because it's so
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: it's so true. So anyway, if you have not yet
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: helped us eight five five nine zero seven four six
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: seven three eight five five nine zero seven four six
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: seven three, about two hundred and two kids away from
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: hitting that thousand child mark, and I'd love to. I'd
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: love to help. And every gift you give this hour
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: will be matched child for child. So seventy five dollars
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: helps one, if you give it this hour, it'll help two.
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: One hundred and fifty dollars would help two children. If
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: you give it this hour, that'll help four. And friends,
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: you can see we can. We can knock that out
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: pretty quickly, and I would love to do that here
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: in the month of April. Get a thousand children taken
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: care of, that would be so amazing. Eight fivey five
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: nine zero seven four six seven three eight fivey five
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: nine zero seven four six seven three. Kevin McCollough is
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: my name. It's that Kevin Show. And you can find
