- Vanessa: What does it mean to accept your fate? Is fate even a real thing? And how do we accept it within ourselves? I'm gonna tell you right now, today's episode is all about seeing ourselves clearly and not only seeing ourselves, but accepting what is clear to us. Accepting your fate is the act of surrendering to what you know you desire and following the path that is meant for you. It's just a reminder this episode that you can have everything you want, but the first step is always acceptance. And this episode is how to see yourself clearly so you can live your destiny. My name is Vanessa. This is the Mystic Within Podcast, a podcast designed for women reconnecting with their power, their purpose, and their intuition, one honest conversation at a time. I have been thinking so heavily about self-acceptance. And what does it mean to truly have a thought or a feeling about something we desire and not having shame around it or not having guilt around desiring that in general? What does it mean to know you want something and to actually go for it? And Feel that it is a possibility in your life, in your existence. I think acceptance is the first step to getting everything you want. We have to accept that that can be a possibility for us. When we keep denying ourselves over and over about basically anything, who we are, the values we have, the desires we want, the life we are meant to live. When we keep putting resistance towards those things, even though deep down we have an intuition that it is a hundred percent for us, all we're doing is creating a gap in our story. The power of acceptance comes down to how deeply we can view ourselves with honesty, with love, with pure truth. how deep are you willing to go in your life to be open to whatever is going to show up? I think when we start judging ourselves is when we start digging our own graves, to say the that in the most dramatic terms. But also true, when we start putting labels upon ourselves, well, I couldn't have that because I'm this, then that kind of just limits our experience that we are meant to have here. I do believe in a certain level of fate. I believe in a few things. And let's break them down. I think fate is a really magical way of saying existence. What are we meant to be existing and experiencing here? Existing within, I should say. What are we meant to be doing and the lessons learned? There's something called soul contracts, and it's this understanding that before you even come onto earth, before your soul is physical on earth, we sign off on all of the lessons and experiences and everything else that we will be doing here. Once we arrive, we forget we even signed those contracts. But then as our lives unfold and we start living authentically and truthfully, we end up clearing these contracts or learning the lessons, going through those experiences. But when we can't accept that we are meant to learn a lesson or experience a certain experience, then what is left for us is a desire, a burning desire inside that never become satiated. There's hunger for it. There's desire for it. I do believe in fate to a certain extent. I believe that we have the power and the free will to create whatever we we want in this world. I believe in manifestation. I believe in conscious creation. And I think we can practice that every single day. But it's kind of the theory like what came first, the chicken or the egg, because yes, we have free will and we do what we're wanting to do, but Is that part of our fate? Is it's kind of like, do we have those choices, or has it all been written out for us? So those things kind of keep me up at night, but they also spark a deep sense of curiosity within me. the reason I wanted to honestly just have a little chat today about acceptance is because I've been thinking very deeply about desires and Shame around what I want or what other people want. And there's a certain level of freedom that comes with clarity. When you have a burning desire within you and you release the shame, the guilt, the judgment, the limiting beliefs around why you couldn't have that or why you even want it in the first place, there comes a certain level of freedom with that clarity and with that release, you become so pillar like. In standing in that desire because nothing's holding you back at that point. You've accepted that wait, this is who I am. This is what I want. And this is what I deserve. This is part of my life. For me, I feel like it was always about feeling seen. I wanted to speak. I wanted to be doing a podcast. I wanted to be sharing my messages with the world and you know, really. Becoming that and stepping into the light. But I felt shame around that desire of being seen. And then I started feeling like, wait, what am I even saying? What am I doing? This is who I am. This is my truth. If I'm not standing in that truth, then what am I? What does that say about me? And I've had to accept: this is what I want. This is a foundational part of who I am. Stepping into that clarity and the freedom of that was totally life-changing because it shed all of the guilt that was associated with feeling seen or the desire to be seen, the desire to interact with people, the desire to show up in this way. It's so different than anything I had ever done. And mostly because I was able to accept that this is part of my journey and I know it. I know that this will touch the people that it needs to touch. I know it will grow into something that is bigger than myself and I'm excited about that. And I see a vision associated with that. And it's protected through my love for it. once I found that acceptance for what I knew was for me, intuitively, fate-wise, I started to fully embrace it. And I think that's what acceptance does. It depends what we're accepting, because some truths within ourselves are harder to accept than others. And it takes a longer time and lessons to sometimes see the clarity in that and it finally accept it. I think though everything has a purpose on when and why it would be accepted at a different time. say if there's something that's been a scar on your soul for a long time in your life, that's going to be harder to dissect and get to the root of. we need to be patient with ourselves in the process of acceptance because. When we have a desire or we have even a desire to live differently than how we've lived, we need to accept that there is a version of us that was keeping us there, keeping us planted in a life that we didn't like, or an existence, or behavior, or attitude, or belief, whatever it is. There's a version of us that found safety in that, that found comfort in that. That's why we've stayed. No one's staying somewhere that they don't get something out of it. Whether even that's negative or positive, they could be getting anything out of it. that acceptance is also a deep reckoning within yourself. It's a reckoning, an identification that I can't live like this anymore. I want more. I want whatever else. And I now have to put in the work to get what I want. I think acceptance is actually the final or maybe the first step of just changing your life. I think it's transcendent in that way because when we accept that we want something new or we want a desire or we're going to live out our dreams or we're going to go for something, we're going to change. And we accept that, that truth within ourselves. It is a denial almost of the person we've been. It's almost like shining a direct light on this person. These behaviors, these attitudes, these whatever. And really admitting that this is not, this is a survival mechanism or this was a comfort zone. This was not who I want to be. And I think that can sometimes actually add to a level of shame. But when we are at that pinnacle bridge between who we are and who we are becoming, that act of acceptance is actually a release. It's an energetic release of the shame, of the guilt, and of the chains that hold you to an old identity. The acceptance gives us a moment of pure mercy. And I will have an episode about mercy because it is the one topic in this world that will really just get me the moment I think about it. It gets me so emotional because acceptance is the understanding that we can change. this is why I'm saying it's transcendent, because you can speak about it in both ways. Acceptance can be the end of something. And really accepting, like, thank you for this and release. Or acceptance could be like I'm accepting that I deserve more. And that is a new beginning all in itself. It's the beginning and the end. It's kind of everything. And again, when we have acceptance, we're seeing something clear. And I always say you can't become something if you don't identify it, if you don't visualize it, if you can't pinpoint what it is exactly. when we have an intuition about something, it is able to transform and metamorphosize into something else. I think that's why I always got caught up in intuition sometimes because I wasn't seeing the end result, but I was having an intuition to go somewhere. And then when I'd finally go there, it's like, the story unravels. with the acceptance of that, maybe you can't see the end clearly, but you know the feeling associated. what type of energy you want to step into. That is a sense of acceptance. You've accepted you want to be this way. I think accepting your fate really comes down to accepting your truth. that's the whole thesis of this episode. How honest are you willing to be with yourself? Because the deeper you go into who you are, the more you can see outside of yourself, the more you can understand. You gain so much perspective when you just allow yourself to be. Allow the negative and the positive. I'm very big on neutrality, but allow yourself to just exist and accept who you are. And if you don't like it, you do have the power to change it. If you know 100% you're meant for something, then I believe you are. I believe 110% that you are meant for it. the first step of it is accepting that you are meant for it. it's this like mythical idea. this is your quest. This is your fate. This is your myth. You're creating your story. And I think that is so magical. I'm a big magic person. Person, obviously. And I'm a bigger fantasy person because I believe fantasy is a great genre for life. It's a journey. It's the story. It's the beauty that when you have the ups and the downs, it's the continuation of the quest. You know, a character doesn't just have the the failure. You see their rise, and it's just a metaphor for life. that's an excellent understanding with this idea of fate. Some people are meant to do amazing, great things, some people are meant to live the fullest of lives, and I believe everyone is entitled to that. And that's why I think fate doesn't reward people necessarily, it's more how do you want your story to be? What is your story? Who are you? And what is that truth within yourself? And I just there's chills up my body because when you can step into your truth, no one can use anything against you either. I think this was something I was learning deeply with vulnerability. Like when you can be vulnerable, no one can use those things against you because you've accepted who you are. You've accepted your parts of the story. You've accepted the journey. Now I wanna talk about if you're having a hard time accepting yourself. I've been talking a lot on my Instagram at I am MysticWithin, if you'd like to follow. But I was talking on my stories regarding these Venus retrogrades. And if you are not into astrology, that's totally fine. Basically, the energy in the air is that we are going into our own underworld and coming out raw and naked and vulnerable in the best type of way. We're finally seeing who we are, our values, what we want without shame and guilt. this is kind of the genesis of why I started thinking about acceptance in this way, where what happens when we see the darkest parts of ourselves and accept them? And we accept that we have been stuck for a long time. We've been in a shame spiral for a long time. We've told ourselves horrible stories about ourselves and labeled ourselves and hated ourselves and lied to ourselves. What happens when we stare directly into the darkness? What looks back at us? Now, I can tell you one thing. There will be something looking back, and it might surprise you exactly what it will be, but it will be some type of rendition of who you are. It's going to be a version of yourself. That you've denied. when we deny something within ourselves, we shame it subconsciously sometimes. We put it in a box and we hide away. And that's never conducive to growth. That's something that we do as a protection, or something we do to avoid what is wanting to be seen and heard and loved. Now the rendition. That you're probably going to see of yourself that's in the darkness is a little version of yourself. It's you at five years old. It's you when you first got scolded as a child. It's you who was denied. It was you who was shamed as a child. It was you who was told they were too much. It was you always. when we can accept that there is a version of yourself, a little version of yourself who. wants to just be loved and seen and accepted, then it becomes simpler with how we look at communicating with adult versions of ourselves. if you are having a hard time with acceptance, this is something that takes patience. It's something that is very vulnerable. It's something that's very raw. And it takes time to build trust within yourself to feel the safety of acceptance. But when you do feel it, and even if it begins with the question, What am I denying about myself? And what would it look like if I accepted it? You don't have to feel good about it. You don't need to feel happy about it. You don't need to embrace it and hold hands with it down the street, but just witness it. Bear witness to the pain of it. Or the truth of it. Or maybe the lie of it. Maybe you've been telling yourself a story that isn't true at all. Maybe it's a denial of who you are, like wanting to be seen. Wanting to have stability, wanting to be loved. Why is that so shameful? we step into a new version of ourselves where we can show ourselves grace and compassion and love. And we can move forward in mercy for ourselves and into a brand new path. It is the closing of something. It is the finale. It is the the book ending. And it's also the first chapter. It's a brand new beginning. It's something fresh and new. Acceptance is the transcendent time between who you are right now and who you want to be. it takes that level of depth within yourself. It takes you going down to your underworld, seeing yourself, witnessing yourself, and accepting it all with neutrality. I will add. I think neutrality is a vital quality to have when thinking about these things because it's not always going to be a positive acceptance. But acceptance isn't about being positive or negative. It's about giving yourself a chance. It's about witnessing. It's about standing in the truth. It's about being honest with yourself and not being scared of yourself and what might arise. Accepting your fate. Is the first and last step of becoming exactly who you want to be, accepting is a long journey and it's it can be hard, but it also gives you grace, it gives you a flicker of warmth within your heart because that's the universe at work. It truly is. And I believe that with everything I am. I know you have the ability to accept your life, your fate, your destiny, because we need you to. Everyone needs to answer their call. There's a reason the universe is calling. There's a reason your soul made those contracts. There's a reason you want to do something or You want to embrace who you are. If these questions are things that ring in your head, give yourself space, journal about it, put up your phone and just videotape it and don't show anyone ever. Post it online. I don't care. acceptance is a vital part of life. And it's a vital part of becoming your dream. Version of yourself. Thank you so much for listening on my little spiel about accepting your fate. I believe in it 10 toes down. And sorry, this episode came out a little bit late today, but it came out. So I'm I'm proud of that.
