Priest Arrested on Child Abuse Charges | Wichita News
Father Ryan McCandless, a priest serving three Kansas churches, is now in custody after being arrested on three counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child. Alleged incidents occurred between July and September last year in Belleville, prompting the Diocese of Salina to suspend him before his arrest. Once pastor of St. Edward, St. George, and St. Isidore parishes, McCandless previously served in Hays and Manhattan.
