Mamie Takes the Longhorn
Aired: Oct 10th, 1952. Dodge City wakes up to a stunned Front Street: the Longhorn Saloon has a mysterious new sign, a vanished owner, and a brand-new manager nobody expected. When Marshal Matt Dillon goes to investigate, he finds a formidable 190-pound newcomer named Mamie has already laid down her own law behind the bar. It's a lighter, wry entry in the series, with Chester and Doc trading gossip while Dillon tries to figure out what really happened to Herman Bleeker.
