A 49-year-old man, Joseph Stephens, faces over 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to possessing large quantities of opioids and being a habitual felon. In a recent Columbus County Superior Court sentencing, he received a minimum of 146 months and up to 188 months, plus an additional 40-60 months consecutive time. The investigation, spanning nearly a year, led to raids at two locations — an Econo Lodge and a house on Mt.
