- 1:01Friends, we aim to give our great God great glory.
- 1:05You're in for a treat today.
- 1:07Our special guest, Pastor Lorenzo Sewell.
- 1:09He was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan.
- 1:12Grew up in a physically and verbally abusive home.
- 1:15He's got an amazing story.
- 1:17Thank God he is where he is today.
- 1:19High school was a challenge emotionally.
- 1:21His father went to prison.
- 1:23His younger brother was killed.
- 1:25As a result, he became heavily involved in drugs, and Lorenzo was even dealing, ultimately becoming a gang leader.
- 1:32And his life started out rough, but man, God had great plans for him, and he is now giving his great God great glory.
- 1:38On April 18, 1999, during his senior year at Frazier High School in Michigan, he had a Damascus Road encounter with Jesus.
- 1:47And here he is today.
- 1:49Pastor Lorenzo, thank you for your time.
- 1:51Welcome to Worldview Matters, brother.
- 1:52Good to see you.
- 1:54I'm so Holy Ghost happy, David, to be with you today.
- 1:57Well, thank you for your time.
- 1:58I want to give your church site so people can look you up and get more information that we can cover in the podcast.
- 2:04But it's 180church.cc.
- 2:09And you can also look him up on Facebook.
- 2:11You've got a profile, Lorenzo, S-E-W-E-L-L. And you can find him on X.
- 2:17We can show the profile there.
- 2:18So he's on all across.
- 2:19Also, Instagram.
- 2:20You don't want to...
- 2:21Forget that.
- 2:22He posts frequently.
- 2:23He's also doing some either interviews or podcasts to just keep people up to speed, trying to encourage the body of Christ to wake up and stand up for the truth and then vote.
- 2:35So, Lorenzo, let's start with your story.
- 2:37I told you before we got on the podcast, I grew up in the UP.
- 2:41the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
- 2:43And, you know, you grew up in Detroit.
- 2:46Tough area.
- 2:48It has changed dramatically since we were children.
- 2:53First of all, tell us a little bit about your upbringing and what was that like?
- 2:57I mean, the only thing a lot of people know about Detroit is Motown.
- 3:01And then didn't they do a lot of car manufacturing, too?
- 3:04They were known for Ford and everything else.
- 3:07So talk to us about growing up in Detroit and your story, please.
- 3:11Well, I was born and raised on the east side of Detroit, mentored by murderers.
- 3:15Dave, student of the street.
- 3:16My dad is in prison for murder today.
- 3:18I was shot at when I was 11 years old, before there was Xbox, before there was PlayStation.
- 3:24I was playing Atari.
- 3:25Remember Atari video games?
- 3:27Yeah.
- 3:28So I was playing Atari and I was shot at.
- 3:30Can you imagine it?
- 3:32Can you imagine just being a kid playing Atari video games?
- 3:35And in your house?
- 3:38Bullets.
- 3:39At my friend's house.
- 3:40On the corner of Killborn and Queen.
- 3:41Yeah, I'll never forget it.
- 3:43Green home.
- 3:4411 years old.
- 3:46And Jesus, he interrupted my life with his love.
- 3:53This is the best way to describe what happened with me.
- 3:57I was cutting myself.
- 4:00I was on ecstasy, acid, shrooms, all types of barbiturates.
- 4:05Cutting myself.
- 4:06Cutting myself.
- 4:07Can you imagine?
- 4:08Just like the prophets of Baal.
- 4:10Remember the false prophets of Baal?
- 4:11They cut themselves.
- 4:12Yep.
- 4:13Remember how Jesus had that man in a cave?
- 4:16He was what?
- 4:17Cutting himself.
- 4:18Yeah.
- 4:19People tried to bind him and they didn't.
- 4:22They couldn't bind him.
- 4:23No man could bind him.
- 4:25And just like that man who was demon possessed cutting himself.
- 4:29I found myself right after a prayer.
- 4:32Can you imagine somebody praying for me in the midst of that context of
- 4:36The security guard, David, said, can I pray for you?
- 4:41He never told me what church he went to.
- 4:43He didn't tell me if he was Presbyterian or Pentecostal.
- 4:46He didn't tell me if he was Catholic or charismatic.
- 4:49Only thing he said is, can I pray for you?
- 4:53I'm grateful that God has people that pray for us.
- 4:59I'm just so grateful for a grandmother, a grandfather, a preacher, a teacher, a coach, a Christian who lays hands on us and pray for us.
- 5:07And that's exactly what happened, David.
- 5:08He prayed for me.
- 5:09When he prayed for me, I experienced then what I know now as the conviction.
- 5:13I was convicted by the Holy Spirit that drug dealing was wrong.
- 5:17And I went back up to the only church that I knew, my grandmother's church.
- 5:21Straight gate church.
- 5:22Jesus said, enter ye into the straight gate.
- 5:28And I was in that church, bloody brow, broken heart.
- 5:32I was a street pharmacist, so I had drugs in my pocket, but I was worshiping.
- 5:37Can you imagine that?
- 5:38Can you imagine?
- 5:38Can you imagine you're worshiping?
- 5:41Bloody brow, broken heart, but worshiping and saying, God, would you please do something?
- 5:48I was crying.
- 5:50I didn't know if Jesus was Lord, but I was crying, but worshiping.
- 5:54Drug dealer, but worshiping.
- 5:55Bruised and broken, but worshiping.
- 5:57And Bishop Merritt said, does anybody want to come down and give their life to Christ?
- 6:02I came down and I gave my life to Christ.
- 6:05He gave me the microphone and said, why are you crying?
- 6:07I said, because I love Jesus.
- 6:09I got baptized that same day.
- 6:12Wow.
- 6:12Get filled with the spirit that same day.
- 6:14Can you imagine that?
- 6:15Can you imagine still being a drug dealer, but yet encountering the Holy Ghost as a drug guy?
- 6:23I went back to my neighborhood that same day.
- 6:26It was April 18, 1999.
- 6:28I went back to my same community that day.
- 6:30Listen to me.
- 6:32And I tried to put in my two-week resume.
- 6:36Your two-week notice?
- 6:37Yeah.
- 6:39I tried to put in my two-week note.
- 6:40I tried to cash out my 401k.
- 6:42I tried to say, listen, I'm done.
- 6:47Can you imagine that?
- 6:49That's not how it works.
- 6:50That's not how it works.
- 6:52All of my friends said, you know what's going to happen to you?
- 6:55I said, yeah.
- 6:57So I went to go and talk to my distributor.
- 6:58He was a murderous man.
- 7:00He had bodies under his belt.
- 7:02Just started taking steroids.
- 7:05Had a tattoo of Medusa on his bicep.
- 7:11I walked in on April 18, 1999.
- 7:14I gave him the drugs.
- 7:15I gave him all the money and I said, I'm done.
- 7:18He said, why are you done?
- 7:19Are you sick?
- 7:20Are the cops on to you?
- 7:22I said, no.
- 7:22I said, I gave my life to Jesus.
- 7:26And when I said that to Larry,
- 7:30I got up knowing that he would invoke some type of violence.
- 7:34And you know what he said to me?
- 7:38He said, I respect you.
- 7:42Whoa.
- 7:44I did not know the Bible from a blunt.
- 7:49The only thing I knew about Bible paper is I can roll and smoke weed with it when I ran out of zigzags.
- 7:54That's all I knew about the Bible.
- 7:57But I knew the God of the Bible was real that day.
- 8:00Friday, I was a dope dealer.
- 8:03Monday, I went to school as a hope dealer.
- 8:06People thought I took a bad hit of acid, Dave.
- 8:10They thought I took a bad head of acid.
- 8:12Now, can you imagine God taking a kid born and raised on the east side of Detroit, mentored by a murderer, student of the street, save him.
- 8:20And then on President Trump's birthday weekend, 2024, the president comes to my church.
- 8:26Can you imagine that?
- 8:29So let's stop right there for a second.
- 8:31I was going to ask you, how did that happen?
- 8:33Was he in town for a speech and he ended up at your church?
- 8:37How did that happen?
- 8:38You've got to tell us about that.
- 8:39Okay, I've got to explain this.
- 8:41Yeah.
- 8:41Yeah.
- 8:42Let me explain this in gang terms.
- 8:44Okay.
- 8:45So I grew up in a context where you had gangs.
- 8:47Every gang represented a territory.
- 8:50So in our community, you have the Bloods, you have the Crips.
- 8:54The Bloods represent the Blue Crips.
- 8:58The Democratic Party in Detroit is like the Bloods.
- 9:01They are like a gang.
- 9:02It's not, this is no gang.
- 9:05You don't bring in a blood into a Crip neighborhood.
- 9:11The Crips represent the blue, that's the Democrats.
- 9:15And when President Trump came as a Blood, he came as a Republican.
- 9:20People thought they said they would blow my church up.
- 9:23They said that they would kill me.
- 9:25Givers left my church.
- 9:27All the teachers, all the union people, they all left.
- 9:30All because a pastor wanted to pray for a president.
- 9:34I never asked him to come.
- 9:35I never asked him to come.
- 9:37Wow.
- 9:38He called me and said he wanted to come to church.
- 9:44Can you picture that?
- 9:46Out of 400,000 places to worship, 400,000 in America, or 400,000, whether it be synagogues, whether it be cathedrals, whether it be sanctuaries, whether it be temples, there are 400,000 places to worship in America.
- 10:00And he picked a nobody from nowhere to come and have me pray over him.
- 10:05Can you see that?
- 10:07Now, why is that?
- 10:08Now, everybody asks me why.
- 10:09Let me tell you why.
- 10:10because God wants to bring the church back into politics.
- 10:15Let me break this down, because this is important.
- 10:18Thank you.
- 10:19In the 70s, we had some of the greatest movements and some of the greatest revivals.
- 10:23We had the Great Jesus Movement.
- 10:25We had Billy Graham crusades.
- 10:26But in the 70s, what happened?
- 10:28Abortion was passed.
- 10:29In the 70s, the Johnson Amendment took place where preachers were no longer allowed to endorse candidates over the pulpit because LBJ was challenged by a preacher in Alabama.
- 10:39So you had prayer taken out of school, you had abortion, and you had the LBJ Amendment all take place while some of the greatest
- 10:48revivals were happening in America why because the church was not involved in politics but Jesus makes it very clear he said upon this rock I will build my ecclesia now what is an ecclesia that is a secular term the first place where the Athens voted ecclesia is a secular term this is not the term for temple this is not the term for synagogue this is not the term for tabernacle
- 11:12This is a secular term that everyone listening at that time would have understood that term as a place where people voted.
- 11:19So it is.
- 11:20The church is called to be a place where the gates of hell will not prevail because the church are binding.
- 11:27We're forbidding things.
- 11:28like the LGBTQ movement, we're binding and forbidding things like Islam, we're binding and forbidding those things that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God, and we're loosing or we're allowing a Judeo-Christian culture.
- 11:44And that's exactly how our country was birthed.
- 11:47People forget the Revolutionary War was not won by George Washington.
- 11:51Not saying he wasn't a great leader.
- 11:53We're not trying to take away from him being one of our founding fathers.
- 11:56What we're saying is it was won because of the militias.
- 12:00It was won because of the black people.
- 12:02Robe regiment.
- 12:04People forget that.
- 12:07Forget it was preachers.
- 12:08It was preachers and it was the men in their congregations that led the revolution.
- 12:14That's how we won the revolution.
- 12:16So when people say that the church shouldn't be involved in politics, listen to this.
- 12:21If a pastor says a church should not be involved in politics, that means he should no longer be a 501c3.
- 12:28Now, what is a 501c3?
- 12:32This is important.
- 12:33This is important.
- 12:35A 501c3 is the only, an ecclesiastical, which churches are, an ecclesiastical 501c3 is the only organization in America, the only one,
- 12:45where we say to the government, not only can you not take our money, we're not telling you who gives in our organization.
- 12:54Think about that.
- 12:55Other nonprofits have to do that, not ecclesiastical ones.
- 12:58Why?
- 12:58Because Jesus wanted the church to understand how powerful they are.
- 13:03Think about it.
- 13:04Government is so powerful that even Jesus had to pay taxes.
- 13:08But the church is so powerful that the church doesn't have to pay taxes.
- 13:11That's how powerful the church is.
- 13:14Brother, thank you.
- 13:15There's so much in there I would love to follow up on.
- 13:17But for the sake of time, let's talk a little bit about the Johnson Amendment.
- 13:20By the way, friends, I got to tell you, we mentioned briefly at the beginning of this interview, Lorenzo is going to be coming to Green Bay, Wisconsin in a couple of weeks.
- 13:28It's going to be an event called Bread and Bibles.
- 13:32That's going to be at the Rock Garden in Green Bay.
- 13:34Doors open 1230 program starts at 1 p.m.
- 13:38You can get details on Eventbrite.
- 13:39Look up Bread and Bibles.
- 13:40I think people are sharing this event on Facebook as well, but we need to get the word out about this because he's going to be speaking in another local gal who we had in this podcast several months ago.
- 13:50Her name is Myra.
- 13:51She's going to be talking about Sharia La.
- 13:53Lorenzo, you know he's going to bring it.
- 13:55So that's Bread and Bibles in Green Bay Rock Garden Event Center.
- 14:00So look that up.
- 14:01So Pastor Lorenzo, a lot of people— let's go back to the Johnson Amendment because that—
- 14:07a lot of pastors and so-called pastors and Christians are unnecessarily self-censoring because they think the church shouldn't talk about politics.
- 14:19You know, a political issue like destroying a pre-born human life in a mother's womb.
- 14:23A political issue, right?
- 14:25So could you just refresh the memories of our viewing audience and our listeners about,
- 14:31of why it's important for people to understand Christians are to be salt and light.
- 14:36We've kind of lost those concepts.
- 14:38And voting for who's going to represent you locally and nationally is one of the biggest things you can do as far as what you can do for your community and country.
- 14:46Go ahead, sir.
- 14:48Yeah, voting is an act of worship.
- 14:51This is what everyone needs to understand.
- 14:52Now, somebody would say, Lorenzo, why is voting an act of worship?
- 14:55Well, let me tell you why.
- 14:57Because Paul, when he writes his protege, Timothy, he says, first of all, pray for those who are in authority that you may lead an honest and peaceable life unto all godliness and honesty.
- 15:09If you take politics out of the Bible, you have no Bible.
- 15:13Jesus was crucified because of a political statement.
- 15:17Remember the Sanhedrin council, they said to Pontius Pilate, you are no friend of Caesar.
- 15:25That political statement caused Christ to be crucified.
- 15:28If you take politics out of the Bible, you have no Joseph, you have no Nehemiah, you have no Daniel.
- 15:33If you take politics out of the Bible, you have no prophets who.
- 15:38holding kings accountable.
- 15:40You have no Samuel going to Saul.
- 15:42The problem is we in America, we have allowed the people who are the politicians who should be the employees, we've allowed the employees to be the employers.
- 15:54And the Bible says that's evil.
- 15:56That's an evil under the sun.
- 15:58When you have a slave on horseback and a horseback acting like a slave, that is a problem when you have us who should be the voice of God to our nation, the church, we are the mind of Christ.
- 16:11We are speaking for God, the word of God.
- 16:14And we should be telling politicians what to paint, how to paint and where to paint.
- 16:18And the reason why we have not done this, let me tell you why.
- 16:22Because the devil knows
- 16:25that politics is spiritual warfare.
- 16:30He knows that the gates of hell prevail.
- 16:34Let me give you a great example.
- 16:35Me and you, me and you can pray all day.
- 16:37We can fast all day.
- 16:38We can call a national fast.
- 16:40We can pray and fast.
- 16:41And guess what?
- 16:42Babies will still be aborted.
- 16:43That's how powerful politics are.
- 16:45Doesn't matter what we do.
- 16:46We can pray.
- 16:47Politics are so powerful that
- 16:51That the devil knows that if the church gets involved in politics, he knows, hear me, that the church will be the conduit of compassion and we will do what the government was never meant to do.
- 17:04See, watch this.
- 17:04The government was never meant to lead education.
- 17:07It's not the government's job.
- 17:08It's church's job.
- 17:09The government was never meant to lead health care.
- 17:12The government was never meant to lead a disaster relief team.
- 17:16That was never their job.
- 17:17They should have never been leading it.
- 17:19It is our job.
- 17:21And the devil knows that if the church get a revelation of politics, we will be a resource so we can point people to the source.
- 17:34He knows that.
- 17:35So that's why he says the pastors, no, no, don't.
- 17:39Don't do it.
- 17:40Don't get involved in politics.
- 17:41I got to say this.
- 17:42I just got to say this one point.
- 17:43Any pastor out there, and I'm just a pastor.
- 17:47That pastor is a couple hundred people.
- 17:49I just, pastor, I know where you're at.
- 17:51Let me just say this.
- 17:53If you want to wake up to politics, remember COVID-19.
- 17:56If you want to remember how powerful the government is, remember COVID-19.
- 17:59That's all you need to do.
- 18:00Just remember COVID-19.
- 18:02Oh, let me say this.
- 18:04And remember...
- 18:05Muslims are voting at a 95% clip.
- 18:09Thank you for saying that.
- 18:11Come on now.
- 18:12Christians what?
- 18:13During the May of Toms, 65% of Christians do not vote.
- 18:20Do not vote.
- 18:21Think about that.
- 18:22Do not vote.
- 18:23Yes.
- 18:24It's mind-boggling.
- 18:24It's mind-boggling.
- 18:26And yeah, absolutely.
- 18:27Thank you for sharing those numbers, because this is how people radicals are getting elected in New York and Minnesota.
- 18:34We'll see what happens in Texas and the midterms are coming up.
- 18:38That's why one of the reasons we wanted to get you to talk to pastors and basically Christians who have been told your vote doesn't matter, which is a lie.
- 18:48Um, so let me ask you this.
- 18:51The left has done a good job.
- 18:53And when I say good, I mean evil, scheming, deceptive.
- 18:57They've done a good job at convincing people that it's okay for them to talk about whatever issue in their churches, but...
- 19:05True Bible-believing Christians with a solid biblical worldview, conservatives, should not talk about political issues and things like that.
- 19:15Why have we—how did they do such a good job of selling that, Pastor?
- 19:19Can you give us any insight on that?
- 19:21Absolutely.
- 19:22This is what the demonic Democratic Party did.
- 19:24This is what they did.
- 19:25They understood through Margaret Singer.
- 19:27See, Margaret Singer, she understood this.
- 19:30Oh, yeah.
- 19:30She said it herself out of her own mouth.
- 19:32And the first lifetime achievement award she gave was to Dr. King.
- 19:36She knew.
- 19:37He didn't accept it.
- 19:38He sent Coretta because he didn't want to be disrespectful, but he didn't accept it himself.
- 19:42She knew if you could get to the preachers.
- 19:45She understood that.
- 19:47Now, why is that?
- 19:48Because the preachers were always meant to pick the politicians, to anoint the politicians, and to appoint the politicians.
- 19:54It's the preachers.
- 19:55And as a matter of fact, if you look at the history of our church, on the history of America, we know that in the beginning of our emphases, we didn't allow people to run for office.
- 20:08The church picked people.
- 20:10That's what happened.
- 20:11And pastors, this is what I would say to every pastor out there.
- 20:15Every pastor says to me, okay, Lorenzo, I hear you.
- 20:17But I pastor a big church.
- 20:18I don't want to offend anybody.
- 20:19Why would I offend somebody when we're not talking about, and this is what I would say to the pastor.
- 20:23I would say, pastor, this is all I want to say to you.
- 20:25With all due respect, I would say, pastor, listen.
- 20:27I get it.
- 20:28How about we make election day national soul winning day?
- 20:33I like that.
- 20:35How about we win a soul at the poll?
- 20:38Hmm.
- 20:39How about we have our church do prayer evangelism at the polls?
- 20:45Don't make it about a donkey.
- 20:47Don't make it about an elephant.
- 20:48Make it about the lamb that was slain.
- 20:50How about you take your entire church and say, church, we are winning souls at the polls.
- 20:58We're going to do prayer evangelism.
- 21:00We're going to invite as many people out to vote.
- 21:02And guess what?
- 21:03We're going to pray for people and we're going to pray for our nation.
- 21:06Amen.
- 21:07That's good.
- 21:08That's good.
- 21:08We need a revival.
- 21:09We need another great awakening.
- 21:12What's interesting is the religious freedoms we have, I think Christians tend to be a little bit more apathetic, and maybe Americans in general, because of, we're spoiled!
- 21:21Our Constitution!
- 21:22our First Amendment, our religious freedoms, go to other countries and try to vote and speak up and share the gospel.
- 21:28If we continue to not show up at the polls, Bible-believing Christians, there will be a time where laws will be passed, like Canada hates speech, and we will not be able to freely share the gospel, although we will still speak it, we'll just be arrested.
- 21:44We don't want that in America.
- 21:46We're trying to wake people up and people to understand this could happen.
- 21:50But I love what you're saying.
- 21:52Let's make it about winning souls, because indirectly, that's what voting.
- 21:56We're trying to do that, get the right people in office, get the right legislation passed.
- 21:59But the answer is not just political.
- 22:01It's spiritual.
- 22:01I know I'm preaching to the choir.
- 22:03Lorenzo, we only have five minutes left, but I don't want to run out of time before I ask you.
- 22:07What's on the horizon for you and your ministry?
- 22:10I know prayer is such an important part of your ministry, and thank you.
- 22:15Thank you for that, an important emphasis.
- 22:17What do you have coming up, or what do you see, I mean, aside from midterms and politics, just for ministry, just for what America needs in this country for Christians just to, I don't know, wake up before it's too late?
- 22:31David, the number one thing is this.
- 22:32I want to lobby for the Lord.
- 22:34I want to caucus for Christ.
- 22:36I want us as pastors to be on Capitol Hill so it can be a city that's set upon a hill that cannot be hidden.
- 22:43We must be in Washington.
- 22:44Our problem is we're absent.
- 22:46Our problem is we're not present.
- 22:48We need to be on there.
- 22:49We need to lobby for HUD.
- 22:50We need to get housing.
- 22:51We need to do housing.
- 22:52Every church should have housing.
- 22:55a charter Christian school, bottom line.
- 22:58Yes.
- 22:59Every church should have an entity where they can be able to make sure that women can choose life.
- 23:05That is not even, that's not negotiable.
- 23:08How can I, why am I saying that?
- 23:10When you look at Planned Parenthood, they get $2 billion every single year to destroy life.
- 23:16You mean to tell me the church can't get $2 billion a year to give life?
- 23:21Mm-hmm.
- 23:21These are the things we need to be doing.
- 23:24And that's my heart right now.
- 23:25I'm looking for a place actually in Washington to represent every single Bible believer.
- 23:30Because I want pastors to run for the Senate.
- 23:33I want pastors to be mayors.
- 23:35I want pastors to be governors.
- 23:37Because Islamists, jihadists, they're doing it.
- 23:40Yes.
- 23:40They're doing it.
- 23:41And you said something, I got to say this to you, Dan.
- 23:44We are up under Sharia law already.
- 23:45See, people don't understand this.
- 23:47Sharia law is two-tier justice.
- 23:48See, people don't get this.
- 23:50Right now, I'm in Detroit.
- 23:51I live right next to three majority Arab communities.
- 23:55Only three in the world next to the Middle East.
- 23:58Listen to me.
- 23:59Dearborn, Dearborn Heights, I haven't tried to.
- 24:01A virtual member from my church, his name is Jake Lane.
- 24:04He was there holding up a sign saying, Dearborn belongs to Jesus.
- 24:07Dearborn belongs to Jesus.
- 24:09And they stoned him in front of the cops.
- 24:12They ran him down.
- 24:13They were trying to kill him.
- 24:16He literally went in.
- 24:17You can see the footage.
- 24:19I went to Dearborn and I asked the council if they would renounce Sharia law.
- 24:23None of them renounced Sharia law.
- 24:25No.
- 24:27We are up under two-tier justice right now.
- 24:29Yep.
- 24:30And it's spreading.
- 24:32And Christians, we cannot afford to be silent.
- 24:35By the way, thank you, thank you, thank you for bringing up Margaret Sanger.
- 24:38That's a hundred-year history right there, the founder of Planned Parenthood.
- 24:42My very first book, called Eradicate, Blotting Out God in America, I did a chapter on Planned Parenthood's buried history.
- 24:50And Sanger actually inspired...
- 24:53Hitler and eugenicists over with the Nazis, and that's a whole other story, but that's a warped worldview.
- 24:58It's about death, population control, women's so-called rights, reproductive freedom, which is a lie from the pit of hell.
- 25:04Brother, two minutes left.
- 25:06Again, I want to mention his website, guys, 180church.cc.
- 25:11Find Lorenzo.
- 25:13on Instagram and make sure you know if you're in the Northeast Wisconsin area, please share this event, Bread and Bibles.
- 25:21It's going to be October 25.
- 25:23It's a Sunday at the Rock Garden Banquet and Event Center in Green Bay.
- 25:29You know, we didn't have a chance to really dive into some of the details of your take on what happened to Detroit and Michigan because when I was growing up,
- 25:38in the 60s and 70s, it looked a little different.
- 25:42And I know even that was in the upper part of the state where you're at, I know it looked different as well.
- 25:46Lord willing, maybe if we have time, we can have you back another time.
- 25:49But Lord willing, we'll meet you in a couple weeks when you come to Green Bay, brother.
- 25:53Just your closing encouragement in about a minute and a half.
- 25:57To Bible-believing Christians, we have a very generally mature audience that watches and listens and shares this podcast.
- 26:05And they still need encouragement because they might be a little battle-weary because of the warfare out there and because we're put down and shot down.
- 26:13But, brother, go ahead and speak life and encouragement to our audience.
- 26:17There are more for you than against you.
- 26:20I know you might be weary in your worshiper, but I want to encourage you.
- 26:23Your strength is coming.
- 26:25I'm going to encourage you because there is a man that was hung high and he was stretched wide.
- 26:30I want to encourage you because there was a man beaten beyond recognition for you.
- 26:34I'm going to encourage you because if it has not been for America,
- 26:39Millions of missionaries would never been sent.
- 26:41If it had not been for America, we would not be the shining light to be able to protect Israel.
- 26:45If it wasn't for America, you and I wouldn't be able to do what we're doing right now.
- 26:50Would you get out of the boat and vote?
- 26:51Would you go to your young people and tell them that they must walk on water?
- 26:55Because God wants the church to walk on water so we won't drown.
- 26:59You are about to walk on the thing that would normally drown you if you're willing to get out of the boat and vote.
- 27:04Hmm.
- 27:05Brother, thank you.
- 27:07I thank you for your voice.
- 27:08I thank you.
- 27:09I know it's, you know, let's just say it.
- 27:11It's not popular to be a black pastor in Detroit.
- 27:14I'm guessing, I'm guessing and be conservative and even maybe even support Republicans.
- 27:22Oh, anyway, brother, thank you.
- 27:24I know it's not about politics.
- 27:25It is about the will of God and the spirit of God in America.
- 27:28And God had blessed this land.
- 27:30We want to preserve our republic.
- 27:33Thank you so much for all you do and your time.
- 27:34Lord willing, we'll see you in Green Bay in a few weeks.
- 27:37Pastor, God bless you, sir.
- 27:39Bless you.
- 27:40Thank you so much.
- 27:41You're most welcome.
- 27:42Friends, share this one, especially if you are in Wisconsin.
- 27:45We've got to get people out to this event.
- 27:48We've got to get people stirred up before the midterms.
- 27:50And not only that, just for Christ and our ambassadors.
- 27:55We are ambassadors for Christ.
- 27:57We've got to remember that, Lord.
- 27:59Help us be salt and light.
- 28:01God bless you, friends.
- 28:01As always, keep speaking the truth about things that matter.
- 28:04See you next time.
