- 0:00Speaker 1: Gallagher. Every day, Mike visits with Mark Davis. Morning host
- 0:03Speaker 1: on 660 AM, The Answer in Dallas. Here's today's Eminem experience.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Interesting thing, fascinating thing. I love what you said about
- 0:13Speaker 2: 11 days from now. You said this isn't going to
- 0:16Speaker 2: be theirs to win. It's going to be ours to lose.
- 0:18Speaker 2: You're so right, Mark. If we show up, we win.
- 0:21Speaker 2: That's all. If we show up, we win. James Tallarico,
- 0:24Speaker 2: another clip, just posted all the things that these crazy,
- 0:27Speaker 2: weird Democrats have said in the past are coming back
- 0:30Speaker 2: to haunt them. He said that he hates voter ID
- 0:34Speaker 2: with every fiber of his being.
- 0:36Speaker 3: Yep.
- 0:38Speaker 2: That's how much he hates election integrity. And he's willing
- 0:42Speaker 2: to say it on the record. Kamala yesterday stumping for
- 0:45Speaker 2: a candidate in Mississippi. Dear Lord God in heaven above,
- 0:49Speaker 2: let them be stupid enough to run with her again.
- 0:51Speaker 1: It's not going to happen. It can't, right? But every
- 0:55Speaker 1: poll says she's the only one.
- 0:56Speaker 3: It's because when you're asking people, hey, who do you
- 1:01Speaker 3: think ought to– who's your pick for Democrat in 28?
- 1:06Speaker 3: The vast majority of people don't even know any, and
- 1:08Speaker 3: they just kind of go, who's a Democrat? Kamala just won.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Who do they have that's better in two years? Who
- 1:15Speaker 2: do they have better than Kamala Harris in their eyes?
- 1:20Speaker 3: Their eyes is an interesting qualifier. I would think sort
- 1:23Speaker 3: of objectively that Josh Shapiro, Wes Moore, Andy Beshear, all
- 1:28Speaker 3: are better than she is because she was terrible. But
- 1:31Speaker 3: they're also largely unknown except to political dorks like us.
- 1:35Speaker 3: So somebody will make themselves known. Did you see what
- 1:37Speaker 3: she said in Mississippi yesterday? She got in front of the–
- 1:40Speaker 3: here's the headline from the New York Post. Kamala Harris
- 1:43Speaker 3: gets crickets from Mississippi rally crowd. after butchering motivational quote,
- 1:48Speaker 3: and then she repeated it. Here's what she said. In fact,
- 1:51Speaker 3: let's play it.
- 1:51Speaker 1: It's quick. It's real quick. Go for it. Yasmin, hit it.
- 1:54Speaker 3: Never let anybody else's, somebody else's limited ability to see
- 1:59Speaker 3: your capacity to be a limitation on your ambitions.
- 2:06Speaker 1: That's the second time she's said it.
- 2:08Speaker 2: That's their limitation. That's not our limitation. That's their limitation.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Can you imagine her on the campaign trail with Marco
- 2:15Speaker 2: Rubio or J.P.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Vance? I know the debates. Please, the debates. Lordy, let
- 2:20Speaker 1: there be debates. Look, there's tapes. There's tapes.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Never let someone else with limited ability to see your
- 2:26Speaker 2: capacity be a limitation on your ambition. What in the
- 2:31Speaker 2: actual hell is that woman expected to— please.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Let her be the one. No chance.
- 2:37Speaker 2: No chance.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Well, don't listen to Mark. Listen to Mike.
- 2:40Speaker 2: Because Nostradamus, you said no chance they'd push Biden out.
- 2:43Speaker 2: That's how bad they are. That's how bad— you would have
- 2:46Speaker 2: never seen that coming, and you didn't, and I'll.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Bet you she's going to be the one.
- 2:49Speaker 3: Somebody will— candidates will— the Democrats do not have a lot of
- 2:53Speaker 3: bench strength. I mean, we were talking yesterday in the podcast.
- 2:56Speaker 3: If we get J.D. Vance, if we get Marco Rubio,
- 2:58Speaker 3: if we get throw in a DeSantis, maybe a couple
- 3:01Speaker 3: of other folks. It's amazing bench strength that we have
- 3:04Speaker 3: to be the 48th president and be the Republican nominee
- 3:07Speaker 3: in 2028. Meanwhile, who do the Democrats have? It is
- 3:10Speaker 3: not a strong list.
- 3:12Speaker 2: They don't have like you said, their deep bench isn't
- 3:15Speaker 2: exactly their forte now. Or as somebody once chastised me,
- 3:19Speaker 2: it's actually fort.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Correct. I'm not supposed to say forte. It's the fort.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Fort.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Who says fort? You say forte.
- 3:24Speaker 3: I know, because when you think about a fort, you
- 3:25Speaker 3: think about where you were building your backyard when you
- 3:27Speaker 3: were 12.
- 3:28Speaker 2: LeBron James' forte is basketball. Evidently, he's not particularly interested
- 3:36Speaker 2: in respecting the national anthem. I saw the post from
- 3:39Speaker 2: Mark Thiessen last night. He said, I loathe LeBron James.
- 3:43Speaker 2: What an insufferable douche. And I thought, hmm, what an
- 3:46Speaker 2: insufferable douche.
- 3:47Speaker 1: What did he do? You've seen the video? Then I
- 3:49Speaker 1: saw the video. Yeah.
- 3:51Speaker 2: And you know what? I shouldn't get so hot-button, rage-filled
- 3:56Speaker 2: anger at this, but I just can't stop thinking about
- 4:00Speaker 2: how many hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of millions of
- 4:02Speaker 2: dollars he's worth, how much he's earned, how this country
- 4:07Speaker 2: rewarded him with this blessing of this rich, famous existence,
- 4:13Speaker 2: all because he plays a child's game and he plays
- 4:16Speaker 2: it well. And he has the audacity to do a
- 4:20Speaker 2: golf swing and throw around his arms and fail.
- 4:24Speaker 3: Swinging his arms and pretending to shoot baskets. And listen,
- 4:27Speaker 3: if an athlete is trying to get his head into
- 4:29Speaker 3: the game during the anthem and stands there kind of
- 4:31Speaker 3: riveted and silent, at least that looks respectful. But LeBron
- 4:35Speaker 3: was involved in this performative garbage now that he's a
- 4:38Speaker 3: Philadelphia 76er before a game. I guess it was their opener.
- 4:43Speaker 3: And it's funny. Mine is for kind of a different reason.
- 4:46Speaker 3: Although I share yours, the notion of showing disrespect to
- 4:51Speaker 3: a country that has allowed him the freedom to make
- 4:54Speaker 3: that much money and be that wealthy. I also think
- 4:57Speaker 3: of how many people have died with that flag on
- 5:01Speaker 3: their shoulder of their uniform. How many people in that
- 5:04Speaker 3: crowd have fought for this country? And how many people
- 5:08Speaker 3: who are Philadelphia 76ers fans or NBA fans or Americans
- 5:11Speaker 3: or anybody who actually believe that the country and the
- 5:14Speaker 3: anthem deserve respect? To see this from him, this is
- 5:17Speaker 3: why he is reviled and he deserves it.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Well, Mark Thiessen is right. He's an insufferable douche. Now,
- 5:24Speaker 2: compare that to the WNBA players. And I'm curious as
- 5:27Speaker 2: to your reaction of this, because I remember years ago
- 5:30Speaker 2: you and I had a debate about this because you
- 5:33Speaker 2: were you. In fact, you boycotted the NFL because you
- 5:37Speaker 2: were so infuriated. at the way they were responding. The
- 5:39Speaker 2: anthem kneeling, absolutely.
- 5:41Speaker 1: That's right.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Kneeling during the Star Spangled Banner. And you said, I'm
- 5:46Speaker 2: not watching a single game. And I'm sure many people
- 5:50Speaker 2: agreed with you. And I said, I wonder if it
- 5:53Speaker 2: would be even better if they just stayed in the
- 5:55Speaker 2: locker room during the anthem so that they don't come
- 5:58Speaker 2: out and disrespect the anthem. And I frankly like that idea. Well,
- 6:02Speaker 2: sure enough, the WNBA, those ladies... There are teams that
- 6:07Speaker 2: don't like the anthem and hate America. What they do
- 6:09Speaker 2: is during the warm-ups, when it's time for the anthem,
- 6:12Speaker 2: they all run into the locker room. They all jog
- 6:15Speaker 2: into the locker room. Let me finish this. They all
- 6:17Speaker 2: jog into the locker room. They wait until the anthem
- 6:20Speaker 2: is over, and then they come back out to start
- 6:22Speaker 2: the game.
- 6:23Speaker 1: What do you think? Please don't tell me you like that.
- 6:26Speaker 1: It's better than kneeling. Okay, now.
- 6:30Speaker 2: It's better than doing a golf swing or shooting imaginary backhits.
- 6:33Speaker 2: It's better than disrespecting. If you can't help yourself.
- 6:37Speaker 3: It is disrespect. It disgusts me less. It disgusts me
- 6:40Speaker 3: less than being out there for the anthem and performatively.
- 6:44Speaker 3: disrespecting it, if you just can't.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Stand the strains of the anthem and you've got to
- 6:48Speaker 1: go hightail.
- 6:49Speaker 3: It to the locker room so we don't see you,
- 6:52Speaker 3: then yes, that is less horrible.
- 6:55Speaker 1: I prefer that.
- 6:56Speaker 3: In the way that I prefer pneumonia to brain cancer.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Correct.
- 7:00Speaker 3: Let's not afford that one ounce of praise, one ounce
- 7:04Speaker 3: of affinity.
- 7:05Speaker 1: No, it's not praise.
- 7:07Speaker 2: But if you're such an insufferable douche, to quote Marquise,
- 7:11Speaker 2: and you can't stand there in attention during the anthem,
- 7:14Speaker 2: then you know what? Then get off the court and
- 7:18Speaker 2: pout in the locker room.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Yes, yes.
- 7:19Speaker 3: But even that is a disgusting show of disrespect.
- 7:24Speaker 2: No one's holding a gun to their heads to stand
- 7:26Speaker 2: there and do the anthem. And they are disgusting. And again,
- 7:30Speaker 2: it's just a reminder of how insufferable the left really is.
- 7:33Speaker 2: I like our chances. Our side is about honoring the flag.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Our side is about respecting the military and remembering the
- 7:42Speaker 2: sacrifice of those who died to make that. That'll do
- 7:59Speaker 2: it for a Friday episode of the Mike Gallagher Show.
- 8:02Speaker 2: Thanks to the team. Alex, pinch hitting for Eric today,
- 8:05Speaker 2: doing another great job. Yasmin, Tony, Tracy, thank you, team.
- 8:09Speaker 2: Let's do it again Monday. Have a great weekend. Be
- 8:11Speaker 2: safe and keep fighting the good fight. I'm Mike Gallagher.
- 8:14Speaker 2: God bless America.
- 8:24Speaker 3: Thank you.
