State investigators raided a Columbus strip mall and a Westerville apartment complex, seizing 51 suspected illegal slot machines and an undisclosed amount of cash in a major crackdown on underground gambling. The Ohio Casino Control Commission says they’re following the money — even if it leads from businesses to homes — warning that these illegal rings severely damage communities. With over 195 locations hit and more than 8,500 illegal machines dismantled statewide — more than all legal casinos combined — authorities are still investigating and no charges have been filed yet.
