- 0:01[SPEAKER_04]: Do a listening to, building the Broncos with Nick Kendall and Carl Dumbler.
- 0:06[SPEAKER_04]: Broncos countries leading trapping, scouting analysts.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_04]: Hit on over to milehighhuddle.com to sound off on all things Broncos.
- 0:25[SPEAKER_02]: Bummer, we're coming at you here this super bowl week.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_02]: It should have been the Broncos, the Broncos all interviewing this week, kind of feel the same, but should have could have what are the results of the results, no crying and football.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm Nick, this is Carl, this is building the Broncos, we're obviously here it is.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_02]: Unfortunately, it has been our favorite time of year for the Broncos, but not recently.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_02]: The games have been more enjoyable as a laborer's as the team building aspect, but God, we still love the team building aspect.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_02]: Carl, how are you doing?
- 0:53[SPEAKER_02]: How's the weather been?
- 0:53[SPEAKER_02]: We had a real turn in the weather today in Denver.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_02]: It was like really reaching the 60s, sunny this weekend, and then today.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_02]: I was walking the kid back when the probably pushing about 35 and starting to hailing on us.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, the Colorado weather, I guess, huh?
- 1:10[SPEAKER_02]: That's kind of how it is.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_02]: I know that everybody out here is freaking out for some snow.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if you've seen pictures of like the ski resorts in Utah and whatnot.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_02]: Not good.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_02]: Hopefully not a bad thing for the summer, but of course we have to open up with weather as is tradition.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_01]: It's been, it's been
- 1:27[SPEAKER_01]: it's been nice it's been not as nice as what they predicted it would be it's been a little bit more cloudy as this weekend we went to see my my oldest son and we ran into some snow and really bad weather but I don't know if we've been able to be outside take the dog out have a little fun with that so I can't complain too much especially you know beginning a February
- 1:52[SPEAKER_01]: I should be expecting lots of snow, 20, 30 degree weather not being able to be outside.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_01]: So the fact that I could be outside with the jacket, I'll take it right now.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_01]: Nice.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's, I really needed to be nicer again.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_02]: I've been, I need to really get back into the workout routine.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_02]: It's really hard with full-time job and full-ball stuff and parenthood and social life and everything.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_04]: Yep.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_02]: I think I'm gonna have to start waking up at 4.30 a.m. to get in a workout in before the live streams in the morning.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_02]: So,
- 2:20[SPEAKER_02]: just as what it is.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_02]: But I have been going on a nice hour-long dog walk every evening with my, uh, I got a weight vest for Christmas.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_02]: So it does make me look a little menacing because it's kind of a tactical vest.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_02]: So somebody sees somebody walking around the streets like as you were in.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_02]: body armor like what the heck's going on.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, the golden retriever kind of gives it away that I'm probably not dangerous.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, no, it's a yeah, absolutely.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_02]: And Carl is trying to do a Pacific Northwest back back in ship without me chat.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_02]: Very hurt, very hurt.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_02]: I think I must have scared him or a tease him too much last time, or maybe sharing the tent was a little too intimate.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_02]: But we're not too far into just nothing happened.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_02]: Other than Carl snoring.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_02]: But
- 3:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no, uh, really excited for that excited for somewhere to get here.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_02]: But first, before we get into it, Carl, Broncos players are asked about the Super Bowl score today.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_02]: What are you thinking?
- 3:14[SPEAKER_02]: Let's get it out there.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, with Seahawks Patriots, who's victorious on what's the score?
- 3:20[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I'm going to say Seahawks are victorious.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, I think the Patriots are a little bit of, uh,
- 3:28[SPEAKER_01]: the path that they took to get to the Super Bowl.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_01]: They got a little bit lucky.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they were a good team.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not trying to take that away from them, but you have a quarterback that throws what five picks in a game.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_01]: You've got chargers who were the walking wounded in their game, Broncos lose their starting quarterback.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, Patri fans that are like joking with the Broncos, because Sutton said we should have been there today, let's say they lose Drake May.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_01]: Do they win that game with Josh Dobbs?
- 3:54[SPEAKER_01]: And we have Bonix?
- 3:56[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_01]: They don't win that game.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_01]: So it is, it's a little bit frustrating right now.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_01]: And I understand, I know, I think it was Patrick's or Tan was like 44 to 6 would be the final score.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_01]: It's something like, I mean, it was ridiculous for Seattle beat in the Patriots.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_01]: They, they did not have any kind of respect for the Patriots going into this game.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_01]: And I do think Patriots are the Seahawks have a more well-rounded team.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_01]: Now Drake may could take over and look more like he did during the regular season and that may be balances it out, but C-Hox with that defense, that's a special defense.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_01]: They don't get talked about enough for how good they are.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_01]: And then you throw in good running game.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_01]: Sam Donald can go out there and when you maybe have the best wide receiver in football.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot of things going for Seattle in this one.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, we talked about it on here a lot.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_02]: Broncos defense dipped some at the end.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, obviously not at the very end.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_02]: They were great in playoff game, that they lost.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_02]: But
- 4:57[SPEAKER_02]: the sea hawks and the Texans were the other two dominant defenses in the sea hawks.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_02]: As good as a Broncos were on the defensive line, sea hawks might take them just because of the talent they have on the interior.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_02]: And they're deeper than the Broncos are on the defensive line as well.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_02]: So I think you look at any of the advanced stats.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_02]: Their run defense was like far in a way, far in a way the best in the NFL this season.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_02]: And they also were missing a good amount of guys in the back seven rotating with injury and stuff
- 5:26[SPEAKER_02]: Well, there's food now for a lot of the season.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_02]: So I have the Seahawks winning this one 30 to 10.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_02]: I think that it's going to be not very close.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_02]: I think the dude that's going to make Drake may his life All living you know what and they'll take away the run and I just
- 5:39[SPEAKER_02]: If you talented up front, I think, said it well before the playoffs, but I think NFC championships is probably more the super long glad nobody dug that up when they for blockers were going there, because make me look bad, but maybe that'll be still making it look bad, but I think the Z-Ops are immensely more talented and shout to the truth, I mean, they still had to win the games in front of them.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_02]: but I think that T.C.Ox specifically are just way too talented along with defensive line.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_02]: And are not as injured as the Broncos were obviously in that game.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I have I'll go to twenty seven thirteen C.Oxman in that game.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and you know, I know some people point to Sam Donaldson's head, big game meltdowns.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think he even has to have a good game for them to win.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_01]: I think they can do a lot like they did in the playoffs of really lean into that run game and allow that to be what controls the pace and then like I said, that defense take over.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_01]: So good for the Patriots to make it, I guess.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, good for them.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_01]: They did up when three off three playoff games to get there, but the Broncos, man, should have been there.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_01]: Now whether they would have
- 6:53[SPEAKER_01]: It would have been tough.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, Seahawks, there's a reason they had best record in football.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_01]: Number one seed, so many things going for them.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_01]: So I mean, they are really good team, they deserve to be there, and I'll be cheering for them.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_01]: I always said I'd never cheer for the Seahawks after what they did to us in the Super Bowl.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_01]: But they found the one team that they could play that I'd be like, crap, now I've got a tree for the sea hocks.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I'd cheer for them against the chiefs as well.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, of course.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_02]: And also the Raiders, although Raiders and the Super Bowl.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_02]: That's hilarious.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_02]: Are we going to end the show?
- 7:26[SPEAKER_02]: That was good enough for me.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_02]: No, we got to say a little bit of some super chats in these Madrid.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_02]: We got pop of air coming in.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_02]: $2 super chat, good evening, Broncos country.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_02]: We also got Shannon Mills coming in here.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_02]: Love that I always say my son's name is Mills.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_02]: So near and near to my heart, we get to see a Shannon 49.99.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_02]: My God, so frickin' generous.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_02]: Appreciate you, she says good evening.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_02]: Would love to see McMillan and JFM say Broncos.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_02]: Singleton's a good leader.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_02]: So I see that as a reason for him staying, even though his production has been off.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_02]: I think the Super Bowl will be a blowout too.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_02]: Well, for 49.99, I'm not going to disagree with anything you have to say, but it would be, it'll be great to keep those ones.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_02]: And thank you for addressing the, the prompt today we're going to go through these Broncos pending free agents.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_02]: They do have restricted free agents and more times than not.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_02]: It takes a pretty
- 8:14[SPEAKER_02]: unique circumstance, not to bring back your restricted free agent.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_02]: So the question, I think, isn't should they stay or should they go for these RFAs, but going to be what does the tender look like that you're going to place on the restricted.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll get into that.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_02]: But thank you.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_02]: So frickin' much for the 49.99 super chat.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_02]: And if you have a little, you know, 49.99, burning a hole in your pocket with the Super Bowl coming up, maybe want to check out our

- 10:18[SPEAKER_02]: Let's say a lot of folks from the chat.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_02]: We got William coming in.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like they should let singles and go, but I think they might bring him back.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_02]: And he says, we know I need to get so much better at that spot talking my linebacker.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_02]: Nothing against him, what that dude we're just getting older and slower.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, green mod didn't look to have the same.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_02]: Explosiveness, I guess this season and maybe I'll never get that back will be your year further from that injury.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_02]: This offseason, his contract is lovable.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_02]: It'd be hard, but it isn't movable.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm expecting Greenlaw back another year and linebackers, one of the three like, no duh, you have to bring in something.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_02]: It can be bring back, but bring in somebody.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_02]: So we got Chase coming in here too.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sad the season's all as about over, but I enjoy your offseason content offseason a lot of fun.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to talk about the draft.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to talk about free agency and we are kind of in the somewhat of a luxury building phase.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, the stakes are high, right?
- 11:09[SPEAKER_02]: You made the FC Championship game and anything less than that now is going to be a let down, but I mean, we've talked about on here running back, wide tight end, line backer.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_02]: If you feel those three,
- 11:21[SPEAKER_02]: You can go a lot of different directions with this team and the big thing is going to be finding a like a defining offensive weapon that you can build game plans around but I mean really you got a lot of directions if you can fill those three spots and with the picks the Broncos have.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_02]: and the cap that they have at three non-premium positions, they should have avenues to fill those.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_02]: So it should, I mean, it's pretty luxurious spot for the Broncos to be this offseason, very enviable.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_02]: What do you think, Carl?
- 11:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think it won't take much for the Broncos to be even better.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_01]: And you think about the fact that they were three points away from being, well, four points, I guess, to win the game away from being in the Super Bowl.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_01]: And really, you can put a lot of that on, just losing your quarterback.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_01]: Any team loses your quarterback and they have a C-champion game.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_01]: The odds are gonna be very much that no team's gonna win that game.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_01]: And the fact Broncos kept it that close says a lot about that whole entire roster.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_01]: It's like I said that there's some positions.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_01]: Broncos can really improve that, tie it in, running back.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_01]: I think you can prove at wide receiver, I'm pouring on that.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_01]: Because to me, if you're going to improve at wide receiver, you got to improve at the number one spot.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_01]: And move to the number two.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_02]: Right, I think like, you could have proved it too.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_02]: It just has to be at top 40 level wide receiver in the least.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_01]: I just, my fear would be to find another Franklin Mims Bryant kind of guy, you don't know that you're right now.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_01]: They're not a number two.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_01]: So you're right.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_01]: You couldn't prove it.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_01]: Number two, I just, I would lean into trying to find somebody that moves certain number two because that would be great.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_01]: And I know, I think PFF was trying to say Broncos should go out for George Pickins.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not really much for that.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_01]: Just.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_01]: He's one of those guys.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_01]: I'm worried.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe for a year or two.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_01]: He could do a lot of good for you.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_01]: But,
- 13:27[SPEAKER_01]: Beyond that, I think it would be tough because I think he's going to become that locker room cancer where other players could be looking at him going, why does this guy get him this meetings?
- 13:36[SPEAKER_01]: Why is he being paid $40 million a year and gets to miss curve view?
- 13:42[SPEAKER_01]: And if I'm paying $40 million a year for a player, like I want them to be a leader in that locker room that people can look up to.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_01]: So maybe not quite that level guy.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_02]: I will say to that point, I'm with you.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if I'd throw out the C-word with him.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_02]: Totally, I think there's an immaturity no doubt.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_02]: The one thing I come back to though is that,
- 14:06[SPEAKER_02]: If you're good, they will put up with a lot as long as you're not a felon, and Sean Payton dealt with a issue, me, me, me player in New Orleans, in Michael Thomas, and there was reports that he was outspoken in the locker room and in practices, despite being by far the heaviest most target player in football.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_02]: having issues in practice with coaches and players.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_02]: So again, not really somebody I want to pull for necessarily, but
- 14:38[SPEAKER_02]: Dammy is freaking talented and you are in window right now and there's just so many so many avenues.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see What's going on here?
- 14:45[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe Carlson means such an abstaining citizen could balance some of that out.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know Do have a lot more people in here want to say hello to Good to see Denver Luke in the house.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_02]: Howdy.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_02]: I love howdy one of my favorite words.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_02]: I'm open almost all my emails with howdy
- 15:00[SPEAKER_02]: Roy Osborne could even eat Nick and Carl can't forget Scott, yes, Scott's here.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_02]: Of course, we got Daniel Barry in the house happy Tuesday.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_02]: I was of Clayton because he comes with a hey, hey, guys, and then immediately smash that like button and share.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_02]: Appreciate you.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_02]: Hope you're doing well.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_02]: We got Miller time coming in here with sub Broncos fan hope all as well.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_02]: Nick and Carl, thank you for all you do.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_02]: Go Broncos, well, we wouldn't be here without comments like this.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_02]: So,
- 15:21[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, we might be, we might just be, you know, shooting the, you know what, but it's more fun with you guys.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_02]: No doubt.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_02]: So appreciate you coming in and saying hello and all the good tidings.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_02]: Speaking of old friends, we got Paul in the house as well.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_02]: You're the real OG Paul.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_02]: Hope you're doing well.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_02]: Hope your health is okay.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_02]: Jason comes in and says, what wouldn't have affected the Broncos?
- 15:39[SPEAKER_02]: We couldn't run the ball anyway.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, if you had Dobbins in there, you kind of had a little proof of concept that you were able to run the football with him in there.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_02]: So I think that's kind of talking about the Broncos, potentially beating the patriots.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_02]: But Jason comes to, we talked about last week, we'd go on with something that Peyton harped on as well, this off season.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_02]: Number one point was frustration with the Wider Severs catching technique.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_02]: Wider Severs coach is gone.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_02]: But then he emphasized multiple times frustration with the run game in general.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_02]: Both football is like the ultimate interconnected sport.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_02]: Right, like if you add a number one wide receiver, that might impact your run game efficiency as much as anything else because it's dictating box count and coverage and personnel.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_02]: But I just have everything's interdependent, interdependent.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, no, Broncos got to figure out a way to run the freaking football in Chrome.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_02]: And I'll keep this one up to you.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_02]: from Saints fan coming in here said can you guys please answer why Broncos fans and media disrespect Sean Peyton you guys at a top 10 offense and we're a bonus injury away from being in the Super Bowl I'm an answer for this but I don't know who chipset say first Carl I would say a couple things one Sean Peyton says things that will rub people the wrong way and and I think sometimes he thinks he's being funny
- 16:58[SPEAKER_01]: where others find it insulting.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_01]: I think of when he attacked, he didn't attack, but I mean, like he made a comment towards, I think it was a different post media person.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_01]: And national media, like caught onto it, like I can't believe he talked to this way of saying that you're too small to ever played linebacker, those kind of things.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_01]: And then that local media guy came out and was like,
- 17:23[SPEAKER_01]: We were joking about it after the press conference.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_01]: Like, they're not maybe not friends, but they at least respect each other.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_01]: And so I think that's where some people don't get all the context of everything that Sean Payton's saying and doing and the relationships that he has with different people.
- 17:39[SPEAKER_01]: And I do think there are times where he does get frustrated with media because they don't understand the big picture of everything that he's doing.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_01]: And so then they make these little comments or these questions that he's like, that's a stupid question.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_01]: Why are you asking this question?
- 17:54[SPEAKER_01]: It makes no sense or it's so obvious nobody needs to ask this question.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_01]: And so I think he just, he's one of those people he doesn't feel like he has time for dumb people.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_01]: And if he needs you to be that, he won't give you the time of day.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_02]: Sean is a ego maniacal a whole sometimes to media and he's smart and he's going to let you know that he's smarter than you a lot of times even if he's right you know people don't like that and he will publicly do that as well.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_02]: So there are people that he is rubbed the wrong way and because of that they don't like him and because of that we kind of saw a bill bill.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if he's gonna get in the first ballot because he's not always the nicest to the media.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_02]: He has his, also he has favorites.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_02]: So, he's a little tough as well, but as far as like people disrespecting his play calling, I don't, I don't know.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if Denver was top 10 offensively this year.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_02]: I prefer like advanced metrics, BVO, AEPA, WPA, even.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_02]: But,
- 19:02[SPEAKER_02]: They were top 14 and they had obviously some issues and they also weren't given the ball and had then pages positions very often because they couldn't take the frickin ball away.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_02]: So Overall, I mean chandain is one of the like if there was a redraft of all the head coaches in the NFL right now Sean Paton's probably going Got him time to like go in with roll it extra my head Carl There might be only two head coaches.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_02]: I definitively would take over chandain
- 19:30[SPEAKER_02]: am I crazy for saying that?
- 19:33[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe three.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_02]: I think I just think Kyle Shayna and Sean McVay are so freaking good offensively.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_02]: They're like, I would probably still take them over Sean Payton and also younger.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_02]: And then after that, it's like the Andy Reed Sean Payton discussion.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, you probably,
- 19:54[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's kind of hard because Andy Reed obviously didn't do any.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he did a lot before he got patched my homes, but he never won a super bowl without a home.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_01]: He was consistently pretty damn good with Phil.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_01]: He was.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_01]: He was.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, making the playoffs almost every year, quarterback's playing at very high levels, whoever the quarterback was Alex Smith, Donovan with Nab, Michael Vick, one point.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm not trying to take anything away from him.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_01]: But you're right, I think I'd probably put him right around that kind of conversation.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_01]: It's tough because you got so many other young coaches now, McDonald's with the hawks, what's he going to be moving forward?
- 20:33[SPEAKER_01]: You might start thinking about trying to take him, but there again, I think part of it is, he's just done a great job getting Kubiak as is offensive guy.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_01]: What's going to happen next year when Kubiak's not there now that he's moving on?
- 20:46[SPEAKER_01]: I'm interested to see if their offense continues to play at the level that they're playing
- 20:52[SPEAKER_01]: I'm trying to think who else that that would be out there.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_02]: Tomman's gone hard bob went over the giants, but he's kind of been in and out here as a lead.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you also got Jim Harba, but I'd rather have Sean Payton know that I do, I do respect Jim.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_02]: I know he's cookie, but also he got hit by a male truck and I always said he's so I got to give him a little bit of slack as a kid on his bike.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_02]: But we got George Fox coming in here, says thanks for your invite to the team and your outlook on players and for the agent that might help the team.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we're going to talk about the Denver Broncos own for the agency, we got to start getting to that.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you so much for the super chat and the support George Hope you're doing well.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_02]: We got to talk now about our friends over at cozy earth.

- 22:56[SPEAKER_02]: move it on here.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_02]: More folks say let you fill.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_02]: Good evening Nick Carl and Deacon Scott.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_02]: You had a choice between Peter Woods, Sunny Style is a K2 Lama who are you taking?
- 23:03[SPEAKER_02]: BPA, BPA, BPA, BPA.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_02]: I like position of value.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_02]: You listed two guys who are higher position of value.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_02]: Sunny Style is a special linebacker prospect who's going to be going top 10.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_02]: He's giant.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_02]: He moves like a safety and he is violent.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_02]: I'm probably going Sunny Style's here.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_01]: I was going to say that.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_01]: There's no way he's making it.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_01]: close enough for the Broncos to even trade up to get him.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_01]: So I would trade it for a linebacker.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's true.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_01]: I wouldn't either.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, if we're talking like maybe a third round pick to get a top 10 level talent, 30 to 27, that's what it was.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I'm thinking.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_01]: But they're like you said, there's no way unless he bombs all of his interviews gets arrested.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_01]: The day before has a video with him.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_01]: doing something he shouldn't be doing the day of the draft.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_01]: There's no way he's making it a 30.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't sound like he's that kind of guy either from what I've heard.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_02]: So, I mean, I would, he's, he's a, my backers don't go top 10 very often, and this is the downclass at the top, but he's actually one of the few, I think he'll be probably a consensus first from great for, for.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_02]: probably 28 of the 32 teams.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe all of them, excuse me.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_02]: But thank you so much, Phil, good question.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_02]: Any of them would be good.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_02]: All of them probably gone.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_02]: I've seen Peter with mocked a Broncos a few times.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_02]: He'd be great as with Loma.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_02]: We got Glenn coming in from down under.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_02]: Nick, I know you love the trenches.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_02]: Who do you like for us to draft for our three to six as a powers replacement?
- 24:30[SPEAKER_02]: I generally hope we cut him post-union 30th, Austin Barber, Kalen Ruttlage, Connor Lourde, three I like so far.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_02]: I really like Kalen Ruttlage.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_02]: I'm pretty interested in the Feynman, the Northwestern cat who played Tackle, but I think he's going to kick inside and the Duke left Tackle who's going to kick inside as well.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, it's a good time for the Broncos to probably look the draft day mid-round interior offensive linemen to develop.
- 24:56[SPEAKER_02]: It is a little unfortunate that we're not going to get that additional third-round comic for Vance Joseph, which I'm happy to have him around still.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_02]: I think, you know,
- 25:05[SPEAKER_02]: we would have had options if he left elsewhere and had been nice to have the picks, but players love him and the defense has been great.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_02]: So welcome back, Lance.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, no, the interior offensive line guys.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_02]: I like those ones.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_02]: Kind of lose one who want to hype to start the season, head injuries as the Auburn Cat.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_02]: If I recall, there's a lot of good centers, Steve.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_02]: Never just paid a center.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_02]: I'll see.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_02]: I'm looking for more of like that.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_02]: I want an Orlando Franklin body type coming in here who could be like a mulling right tackle or a guard like that's kind of the the move I'm looking for right now.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm with you there.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_01]: I think you'd rather have that tackle guard combo than guard center combo and and Lou, I think he's
- 25:46[SPEAKER_01]: He's mostly played center.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_01]: So I'd worry about what he would look like, moving him out to guard.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_01]: And like I said, we just paid our Wattenberg, hopefully he's fully healed up.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_01]: And I know his contract is easier to move out of after next year.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_01]: But still, that's not quite the direction I'm looking to go right now.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_01]: You've got four sides round.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_01]: He did okay.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_01]: Wasn't great, but he did okay as a backup option there for the center.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_01]: And you've got him for another season.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_01]: So I think the Broncos are okay there, but finding a guy, I mean, this is talking about that tackle guard thing.
- 26:20[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the guy that had the video come out, having a guy that you can move out to tackle eventually but start their guard, I would love to see that.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_02]: It's something that would be nice for the Broncos.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_02]: That's no doubt, and we'll be, obviously, a lot of time between now and April.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_02]: I won't get here before you know it, but a lot of the time to talk about it, and never to really start talking trenches as my cat.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_02]: Please have some sanctity for the stream as you look things that you shouldn't be looking at.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_02]: Jordan Lewis, evening fellows, great to see you.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_02]: Appreciate you coming in here, hope you're doing well.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_02]: We see our guy Dylan in the house, Dylan.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_02]: Good to see you, hope you're doing this.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_02]: That's fork over the one and get a playmaker.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_02]: Good to see, Paul says legalized, stick them, appreciate it.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_02]: Great comes in here, good evening, Broncos Country.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_02]: Always love you coming in and saying hello, appreciate you, hope you're doing well.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_02]: Tyler Brooks in the house, we love club, Dub, the yeah, we do, we love winning football.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_02]: uh here, no down.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_02]: Sean Payton's brought winning football.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_02]: Shannon says she thinks the broth will keep Evan Ingram.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the signings from last season are going to be hard to move off of.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_02]: And we'll have a chance to talk about this a stay or go uh here in a second calm bishop.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_02]: I'd love to trade up for Sadieke.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_02]: Uh man, we're going to a lot of off season to talk about this Carl.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_02]: I like Kenyan Sadieke in theory.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_02]: I think training up for a tight end is always risky because there's no such thing as a guarantee in the draft.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_02]: And right now, I think he might be a
- 27:44[SPEAKER_02]: potential than actualization.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I'm worried that you're getting a a Vernon Davis type.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_02]: If you know, we're like, he's like an heck of an athlete.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_02]: Just not always natural as a receiver.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_02]: Right, again, like how to manipulate space.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_02]: Like he always feels like he doesn't have like a throttle.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_02]: He's like one of those players, like we talked about with Noah Fant, we're like A means run and B means stop.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_02]: And there's not that like joystick control that you have.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_02]: Like you saw Tyler Warren,
- 28:13[SPEAKER_02]: or of course, cool some love one as well.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_02]: Like they have a ability like pace there routes to create separation.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_02]: Didn't always see that with sedic.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_02]: But man, he's, he's a hell of an athlete and he's a really underrated blocker to keep being a great weapon.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_02]: Like I would take him trade up.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_02]: It's kind of like the talk we had it earlier.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_02]: Like what would it take for 30 over all on a third round pick?
- 28:35[SPEAKER_02]: Like how high can that get us?
- 28:37[SPEAKER_02]: 25?
- 28:37[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not trading up more than that.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not getting up a future one or two.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not giving up one or two this year to go up for it on proven tight end.
- 28:45[SPEAKER_02]: Well, there's only like six tight ends that are need on movers and the league at any point.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_02]: So,
- 28:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, great.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_01]: The more I watch sedic, the more lucky said, I view him as great athlete, not so much great football player per se.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he does some good football things.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_01]: Underrated is locker physically.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_01]: He can make the really, really tough catch, which is something you love to see where he'll go up and make a catch that you were like, that's part of why everybody fell in love with him.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_01]: their mid-season because he was just making these highlight real catches left and right.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_01]: But if you go back and watch, okay, how many football moves are you watching this guy make?
- 29:26[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of his plays are him staying in to help block on a pass play and then just kind of trickling out two to three yards, catch it, run with football, out athlete the guy to go get the first down.
- 29:37[SPEAKER_01]: Or run the seam route.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_01]: which is just pretty much, hey, you're just running this fast so you can up the middle and you're gonna outrun the line backer or get over the top of the safety and then go make a big catch.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_01]: That's a lot of what his plays were there at the college level.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_01]: And so like I said, I could be okay with him in the first, I'm with you, I'm not trading up.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, like a small trade up, like if you can identify him and there's like a huge discrepancy between him and the rest of the guys and you haven't already filled out Titan, like he is a weapon, especially with like how the Broncos utilize formations and they really are heavy in the short side of the field and you have you can use them out wide alone for the chip and release that the Broncos love to do with their Titans as well on the flat.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he don't don't get me wrong.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_02]: He'd be great.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_02]: But, man, I have a hard time giving a multiple cracks of the bad and draft picks when you were talking about a non-premium position when, like, like, who's the eighth best-tied and end football?
- 30:41[SPEAKER_02]: Right now, would you give up your first and third-ground pick for the eighth best-tied end?
- 30:44[SPEAKER_02]: Cause like, that's a good outcome for Sidney.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_02]: Mm-hmm.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, that's tough.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, right.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_01]: And I think I would like to do more.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_01]: If we went and got ourselves a true free agent tied in a gotter kind of guy that can do that can do more of the traditional tied in work and then you can have a deep in for some specialty kind of plays plus I mean like you said he is a good blocker.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_01]: So you can have them you can do the two tied in looks that the Broncos were not able to do at a great level this year.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_01]: If you go get a free agent tied in like that, that you can trust to be the five to seven hundred yard kind of guy that you can leave on the field and trust him to go out there.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_01]: It's just, if you are thinking of him as being your number one tied in and being a big time guy for you as a rookie,
- 31:41[SPEAKER_01]: I think you're gonna be a little disappointed.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's one of those guys you're gonna have to bring it along pretty slowly.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_01]: He's gonna be more what you've seen traditionally from Titans.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_01]: I think we've gotten a little bit spoiled here lately.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_01]: We had Brock Bowers go out there and have the season that he had as a rookie.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_01]: Then Colson, Lovelin, Tyler, Warren, this year, having the kind of seasons and we're kind of going, oh, well look, these rookie Titans, they can come in and do all these great things.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_01]: Most tight ends, it takes you two to three years.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_01]: And with Broncos being in a two to three year great window to go win a Super Bowl, I'm not exactly sure if you want to use your first round pick on a guy that you're probably not seeing the fullness of what he can bring until the very end of that ability.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_01]: Or that window.
- 32:27[SPEAKER_02]: It's definitely tough.
- 32:30[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see how it plays out, but yeah, good question.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_02]: Here, we do have another ad read to get to the Carl our friends over at Surfshark.

- 34:29[SPEAKER_02]: It will send you two jets here, not a great team, but some good players.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_02]: Sorry to take the wheels.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_02]: And we got Greg coming in here gets his Nick Carl.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_02]: Where do we rank as far as tap space ghosts?
- 34:40[SPEAKER_02]: I don't have the exact rankings in front of me Carl, but I will tell you this.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_02]: The Broncos are going to, the cap is not going to be a limitation for them with how they've set up the contracts.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, everybody's talking about like, oh, look how they've done the season with all the dead money.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_02]: They've already borrowed from the future because of that dead cap hit from Russell Wilson.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_02]: So you obviously don't want to do that like too much all the time.
- 35:03[SPEAKER_02]: At least, I don't know that makes me a little bit cautious, but the cap just keeps exploding and like if you $8 million this year, it takes up what
- 35:14[SPEAKER_02]: X percentage of the cap, but if you push it out, two years from now.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_02]: it's like 80% of X.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_02]: So like if the cap keeps growing like it does and you push it out, you're actually getting a higher proportion of cap availability to you by year because the cap is growing.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_02]: So it's just a smaller total proportional hit against the cap.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_02]: So I think Denver is middle of the pack, but they can move some money around to create a lot more.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_02]: So because the Broncos have cap space the cap is much bigger than originally anticipated this off
- 35:48[SPEAKER_02]: And it doesn't, it doesn't matter, but like, I think the basic is like, any player in the Broncos want the cap is not going to be a hurdle for them.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_02]: They're going to be able to make it happen and get it done.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_01]: So Broncos right now technically are 14th and captains in the NFL.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_01]: But you look at some of the teams ahead of them.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_01]: They have notorious owners for not being willing to spend like Raiders, chargers, bangles,
- 36:15[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I'm trying to think of some other teams here that Cardinals don't always want to spend.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_01]: So, 88 million dollars in the hands of the Charger's owner compared to about 30 million dollars.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_01]: It's about 29 million really for the Broncos right now, technically it's probably almost about even, honestly, because of the cash that they're willing to spend.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_01]: And you already had Greg Pinter come out and say that the Broncos are going to be
- 36:44[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to be aggressive, but they're going to be smart about it.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_01]: But the fact that George Payton, Greg Pinter, Sean Payton, of all said, we're going to be aggressive.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_01]: They all understand that Broncos are in an incredible window right now with phone X on his rookie contract.
- 37:01[SPEAKER_01]: Russell Wilson, dead cap hits are all gone.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_01]: Cap keeps going up like it is where it's exploding more and more each year than what they expect.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_01]: Like I said, even if you're borrowing on the future,
- 37:14[SPEAKER_01]: 13 million borrowed right now turns into about like 10 million by the time you actually get to it.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because of just the inflation that happens with it.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm not really too worried about it.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_01]: I think the broncus are in a really good position with the cap.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_01]: They can go get a couple of players.
- 37:31[SPEAKER_01]: They can maybe reset a couple of players.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to talk about here in just a bit.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_01]: And this roster really could be better, deeper, stronger than they were the year before.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_02]: And as Dark as it sounds, Broncos could be better next season and not go as far on the playoffs or not win the division.
- 37:52[SPEAKER_02]: Just might get a little bit of bounce back in the one score games, but you could still be a better team overall.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_02]: And I honestly I fully expect them to be better next season even if they don't have
- 38:01[SPEAKER_02]: the equal record.
- 38:03[SPEAKER_02]: But we'll see.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_02]: Chase Walner asks, are there any big nose tackles in the class, man?
- 38:08[SPEAKER_02]: You guys, we got to get to the Broncos free agency.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_02]: Now, there's a lot of good nose tackles in this class, Kate McDonald from Ohio State, is freaking awesome.
- 38:17[SPEAKER_02]: Lee Hunter, is somebody also who can do that.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_02]: Of course, Christian Miller can play some nose.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_02]: You got
- 38:27[SPEAKER_02]: freaky, I mean, he's like one of the most like first off the bus guys I've ever seen in my life for his size.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_02]: He doesn't look like he has anybody fat on him.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_02]: He and he's like 330 pounds.
- 38:36[SPEAKER_02]: He and he's got like 98% tile length like he's.
- 38:41[SPEAKER_02]: Well, she had a little bit more juice.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_02]: But man, he is powerful.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_02]: So there's a lot of good interior defensive linemen.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_02]: It's a really good
- 38:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this is where there's some positions linebacker thankfully Broncos need a linebacker.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_01]: This is a pretty good linebacker class.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_01]: There's some safety depth.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_01]: You probably need a safety.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_01]: If we're going to lose lock, I think you could go get yourself a guy for that as well.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_01]: No stack will.
- 39:17[SPEAKER_01]: I do think that would be great for the Broncos go get yourself a 330 pound guy that can man the middle.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_01]: You know, you're talking about playoffs.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_01]: If we play the bills again,
- 39:29[SPEAKER_01]: you need some more size on that defensive line.
- 39:33[SPEAKER_01]: You need some guys that can match up across the line and say, you know what, yeah, you're 330 pounds.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_01]: I'm 330 pounds.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_01]: We're two very grown men ready to go at this, and the Broncos be able to hold their spot.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_01]: And not give up, seven, eight yards of carry.
- 39:47[SPEAKER_01]: You need something like that.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_01]: The Broncos don't have it right now.
- 39:49[SPEAKER_01]: So I would fully expect the Broncos be looking pretty heavy at those nose tackles.
- 39:55[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see lots going to come down the first guy we're going to talk down talked about here Carl John Franklin Myers Broncos for you going to look at spot rack right now for the available for you to send your most expensive predicted one is John Franklin Myers should he say or should he go he should stay he's going to go Broncos have seen I mean I feel like he's the caliber of prospect or player not prospect that the Broncos if they are
- 40:21[SPEAKER_02]: this quality they sign up before they even get close to hitting the market and because of that I'm expecting him to be gone.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_02]: It's a bummer because he is really talented.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_02]: Why would you let him walk?
- 40:32[SPEAKER_02]: You have two young players who may be in the aggregate.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_02]: You can replace him in a Waza Riquei as well as Savion Jones, who's promising athlete just needs to work on his run defense and anchoring,
- 40:49[SPEAKER_02]: John for like a mile is probably going to get, I don't know, the spot rack hasn't come up at 7 million here.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_02]: I'm guessing he's going to get, I think you get 10 to 12 million a year, especially with the exploded cap, much higher than anybody anticipated, means those free agent contracts are going to be all the bigger.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, I would love to keep him.
- 41:08[SPEAKER_02]: I do think he's gone.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_02]: And I don't think, if I was in charge, I don't know if I let him get to this point,
- 41:20[SPEAKER_01]: The problem is you start trying to figure out your cap situation who can who can you keep working you sacrifice and I said you just drafted a guy to be his replacement.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_01]: At some point you got to start trusting that your your draft fixer can be able to step in and take over for some of these guys and.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_01]: You know, kind of like Baron.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_01]: What are you going to do with them next year.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_01]: He's in first round pick.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think you can have him be just this rotational guy next year.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I don't, I don't, I don't even care about that.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_02]: The pick is the pick at this point in the best players play.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_02]: It's kind of like if I bring in a five star recruit and I walk on beats you out.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_02]: Tough shit.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_02]: So I know I'm not supposed to cuss on here, but like best players play.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_02]: And if that walk on ends up being like a first round pick down the line and the five stars like a third rounder, you played the best player.
- 42:10[SPEAKER_02]: Like you would have everybody else miss evaluated to start, but talent is a talent.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_02]: You spent what you spent.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_02]: One thing also with Marin and just talking about the free agents in general, we're gonna weigh it out of ourselves here.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_02]: But
- 42:23[SPEAKER_02]: J-Mac is going to be back.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_02]: I would be shocked unless they trade him, but like there's RFA, put a second round tender on it.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_02]: If somebody wants to pay him and give up a second round pick for him, God bless God speed.
- 42:31[SPEAKER_02]: We got another corner back in here that's great.
- 42:33[SPEAKER_02]: But you have two of your top three cornerbacks hitting for agency a year from now, and you have three years more of control than from with Baron at that point.
- 42:42[SPEAKER_02]: So you built in insurance and
- 42:45[SPEAKER_02]: a plan, a succession plan in place for Baron already.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_02]: Now it's not the best ROI for a first round pick.
- 42:52[SPEAKER_02]: I'm with you there, Carl.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_02]: It's a premium position though.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_02]: You built in a little bit of support and the chance that you go through the whole season again with all three your top corner backs being healthy is not high.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you just were able to survive some of those games without PS2 because you had death at corner backs.
- 43:09[SPEAKER_02]: So, I don't know, it's, I hear what you're saying.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_02]: I just wanted to push back a little bit.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_01]: And I get that, you're right, best player should play.
- 43:17[SPEAKER_01]: But I just think if you really view Baron as a starter, you're going to have to figure it out away.
- 43:22[SPEAKER_01]: How do we get him on the field?
- 43:24[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying that means you get rid of McMillan, but if a team does come and say, okay, we are wanting to give a second round pick, and then you really like Baron, you're going, thanks.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_01]: Helps us solve a little bit of our problem here.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_01]: And we get a second round picked add more talent to this roster and figure out what else we want to do.
- 43:43[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll just have to see how that all plays out this off season.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_01]: But no, I hope McMillan's back.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_01]: He took another step this last year.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_01]: You know, the year before they started out the season very, very solid.
- 43:58[SPEAKER_01]: But probably from about week nine on other than a couple big plays.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_01]: The interception against Cleveland returned for a touchdown.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_01]: There was a lot more miss than hits.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_01]: There were times where he was caught out of position.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_01]: And this year, he just was solid through the entire year.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_01]: I just, I really loved what he brought to the table.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm hoping he sticks around because I do think he is a big part of the defense and what allows him to be able to do what they do.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_01]: And so other free agents who got going on, yeah, singleton.
- 44:31[SPEAKER_01]: We got singleton is strnot.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yep, both of them.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_01]: Now, strnot is said,
- 44:37[SPEAKER_01]: He wants to sign with the team that believes that he can be a starter.
- 44:43[SPEAKER_01]: This is where I'm torn because I really do want to use a draft pick on a linebacker.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_01]: Good class for that.
- 44:50[SPEAKER_01]: It is.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm just not sure.
- 44:53[SPEAKER_01]: Not that if you kept singleton around that it wouldn't be a problem, but to me, like singleton's a one year rental.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_01]: So you could draft a guy in the mid-round picks, have him get trained up there by Singleton and Green Law, and then be ready to start the next year.
- 45:11[SPEAKER_01]: Or, Sternod, you're probably looking at more of a two to three year contract, and he's not going to like the idea that he's not the starter.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_01]: Now, maybe you're moving on from Green Law at that point, then, I don't know.
- 45:22[SPEAKER_01]: I just think Sternod's probably going to be priced out of Denver, where they're not going to have
- 45:32[SPEAKER_02]: One of the two, I think, will be back.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_02]: If not, you can go to the freedom scene where I kind of know there's been a lot of push for Devin Lloyd as a blade.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if, was he looking for like 25, 30, something ridiculous for a linebacker?
- 45:45[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if I'm looking to spend that.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_02]: I'll keep bang on the table for Kate Nellis, as well, pairing him up with his brother, and he is such a,
- 45:54[SPEAKER_02]: good weapon as a past rusher and i'm not sure what the falcons will be doing with him this season other falcons have money to spend but they also are going to be maybe looking to turn over some of the pieces of the defense and they have to pay coppits potentially drink London and be John Robinson so do they want to be paying
- 46:13[SPEAKER_02]: you know, 15 million year to a linebacker.
- 46:16[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 46:16[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see, but Broncos need to signback a linebacker.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_02]: Charlotte has a good point with Singleton and have suitors outside of Denver.
- 46:22[SPEAKER_02]: He's been productive, but I can't see him having a ton of offers on the open market.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_02]: Well, you did have Jim Leonard head off to Buffalo.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm guessing that implementing the system has been there for a bit.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_02]: He might be somebody that makes some sense.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe Leo Chanel, though, given probably I might have probably recruited him to Wisconsin back in the day.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_02]: That's another one to keep an eye on for Denver.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_02]: Personally, just from what I watched this season, I think having Alex, you're not slightly more than Singleton.
- 46:52[SPEAKER_02]: If I have to bring back one of them, which one can I get back on the cheapest?
- 46:58[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, we don't need to be cheap necessarily, but it's nice to have some spots or you save two million here or there.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_02]: We can put two million more on a tight end.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe to bring in David, Gauderter, and Joker or something.
- 47:10[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see.
- 47:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm probably, I'm with you.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_01]: I'd probably take the cheaper one, which I'm guessing will be single 10.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't mind him for another year.
- 47:21[SPEAKER_01]: I know people want more athleticism, what more playmaking, but he's a good leader, great locker room guy.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_01]: And if you do go draft a guy and give him a year to learn from from Singleton, there's nobody better to learn from.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_01]: Smart guy, leader will show him the ropes
- 47:42[SPEAKER_01]: in the NFL, I just think it's almost like a democracy where, well, the Marxist where is Hall of Fame, but just, he's not going to be upset having to teach his replacement.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 47:54[SPEAKER_01]: And that, whereas, or not, it's not going to want to help his replacement.
- 47:58[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sure he sounds like he's a good guy.
- 48:00[SPEAKER_02]: I think he probably would still help him somewhat.
- 48:04[SPEAKER_02]: And he'd also probably signed.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_02]: He wouldn't sign up one year deal.
- 48:06[SPEAKER_02]: So like he might be training somebody behind him, but he might be training them.
- 48:11[SPEAKER_02]: Like you said, Serenade, you're probably, if you're drafted in a guy, you're probably thinking about them as the replacement.
- 48:17[SPEAKER_01]: That's true.
- 48:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 48:18[SPEAKER_01]: That is very true.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_01]: I just, I love Serenade.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_01]: I'm really, I'm with you.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's a more talented player than Singleton at this point.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_01]: He's younger.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_01]: If I'm trying to remember how old is he, he's, I guess he's 30.
- 48:32[SPEAKER_01]: He's not young.
- 48:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 48:32[SPEAKER_01]: He's been around.
- 48:33[SPEAKER_01]: He might be the longest 10-year-d Bronco.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_01]: Mm.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_01]: Bulls.
- 48:39[SPEAKER_01]: bowls.
- 48:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 48:40[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 48:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_01]: You're right.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_01]: And Sutton would maybe be longer.
- 48:45[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_02]: That's there.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_02]: Not a bit in the same class.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_01]: I can't remember.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_01]: But anyway, let's let's get to some more of the the controversy.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_01]: What are your thoughts?
- 48:58[SPEAKER_01]: Because there are so many good running backs in free agency this year.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_01]: I'm probably looking for somebody that
- 49:06[SPEAKER_01]: I could could last the entire 17 games.
- 49:09[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I mean, there's no guarantee.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody has their chances of getting hurt, but with Dobbins, he hasn't had a single healthy season.
- 49:16[SPEAKER_01]: So you're pretty much guaranteeing, if you've resigned him, you know he's gonna mislead to a few games.
- 49:22[SPEAKER_01]: And he's a great player when healthy.
- 49:24[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I, for a while there I'm going, this might be my favorite free agency signing, and then he gets hurt and it just destroyed our run game, the second he went down.
- 49:36[SPEAKER_01]: So if you do bring him back, you better have a better backup plant plan than Arby.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_01]: I like Arby, but he has a specific role and it's not lead back.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, could we get Dobbins back for the same contract as last you talk about pinching $2 million dollars and just give that to Dobbins and you still may be sign.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_02]: Somebody else as you want to come back at that point.
- 50:02[SPEAKER_02]: I think probably just given his injury history and everything that's happened with him.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_02]: I would imagine the cycle is a little bit similar to last season where he is third, second wave of free agency.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_02]: And at that point, maybe you've lost out on haul or walker or somebody out there, maybe this goes, guys don't even hit the market who knows.
- 50:22[SPEAKER_02]: I'll share.
- 50:23[SPEAKER_02]: And then maybe you come back to that and then look to draft somebody.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_02]: day two, to pair with him as well, a big body back.
- 50:29[SPEAKER_02]: But right now, I'm probably more walk and use that two and a half million to pay in RB1.
- 50:36[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not going to pay in a big contract as far as years go, but like a three year deal that's essentially a two year deal.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, or a four year deal that's essentially a two maybe three year deal.
- 50:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, for sure.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's probably what you're doing.
- 50:49[SPEAKER_02]: I can't use awesome.
- 50:51[SPEAKER_02]: If this was a really deep talent that draft, where you like how you're going to have options no matter what, I'm for it.
- 50:57[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think it's that after love, I don't think it's that great of a running back class on the whole.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_02]: So it makes a little bit harder, because then you're talking about paying two guys.
- 51:07[SPEAKER_02]: Do you want to do that?
- 51:08[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, but it's probably the most, it's not the, how do I put it?
- 51:14[SPEAKER_02]: So most important position for this Broncos team I think going this season, but it's also the one that's one of the easier ones to fill for the Broncos.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_02]: Like big picture offensive weapon, like flagpole, temple for the team building, a big picture, like a big number one pass weapon, big picture, that's a number one need, but like for next season needs to be a running back, I think.
- 51:33[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'll give it my argument though, Carl.
- 51:35[SPEAKER_02]: The white tight end, that brings us to Adam Troutman.
- 51:38[SPEAKER_02]: Sean Peyton loves him, even though he did a dig at him.
- 51:40[SPEAKER_02]: Sean Peyton doesn't, as we talked about him earlier, it doesn't tease you or come at you unless he likes you.
- 51:44[SPEAKER_02]: And he gave Trump in a hard time, it would be unbelievably disappointed if Trump was back without it being in tandem with a more substantial white item.
- 51:55[SPEAKER_02]: No, it does fill a roll.
- 51:56[SPEAKER_02]: He can block like he's not, you know, totally getting whipped out there, but
- 52:02[SPEAKER_02]: it would be great to bring in somebody who is an actual y who can change the math a little bit with blocking because I just did not feel that was the case enough for the season of trauma.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, if we want to talk about improving the run game, I would say finding a consistent run blocking tight end that you can trust to hold up would be pretty big because there's a lot of run plays that were blown up because whoever was playing tight end, Ingram, Troutman,
- 52:31[SPEAKER_01]: even, even Lewis had some times of not looking great, run blocking.
- 52:36[SPEAKER_01]: And it just was frustrating where you'd see everything else blocked up and then boom, here comes a guy, cutting across, making the play.
- 52:43[SPEAKER_01]: And maybe that's some of that's a little bit scheme.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if Sean Payton was,
- 52:48[SPEAKER_01]: depending on them to get kind of that cross-face block where they're having to get clear around that a defense event and against good defense events, that's going to be really tough for any Titan to do.
- 53:01[SPEAKER_01]: I do think that played into it a little bit for sure, so I think there's there's some play calling things that they could change that would help the Titans more, but at the same time like I said, we've got to improve that position.
- 53:13[SPEAKER_01]: You can't go into this next year, go on, hey,
- 53:18[SPEAKER_01]: You're the guy that we're going to have on the field for, try to remember, I think you's probably, what, about 60% of the snaps?
- 53:27[SPEAKER_02]: Probably, that's not good.
- 53:30[SPEAKER_02]: No, it's been ingrams too limited because he can't live in line.
- 53:34[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, Ludby Gurney, we're going to tie that.
- 53:37[SPEAKER_02]: We got Shiloh comin' in his Texas Tech router, you guys goin' round one as a future linebacker.
- 53:42[SPEAKER_02]: All takes his one team.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_02]: I, if you have odds for me, if you give me, I would probably better get it right now, I think it's honestly.
- 53:52[SPEAKER_02]: I think you're probably talking around three at the earliest, but that's still a rather like, not totally premium, but like a big selection for a linebacker.
- 54:02[SPEAKER_02]: So I think he's probably data right now.
- 54:05[SPEAKER_02]: Little smaller, he's really good in coverage, not necessarily explosive.
- 54:11[SPEAKER_02]: And like the linebacker drills, like it's nice to see them at the senior bowl.
- 54:15[SPEAKER_02]: Doesn't necessarily translate to
- 54:17[SPEAKER_02]: the NFL game all the time because like their first responsibility is physicality coming downhill and taking on those guys.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_01]: He's he's got some instincts about him.
- 54:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, which that that can translate well to the NFL game and and so I do like that part of it for him.
- 54:37[SPEAKER_01]: But like I said, there's going to be some limitations to his game compared to I mean, thought about my other sunny styles.
- 54:44[SPEAKER_01]: You're talking
- 54:48[SPEAKER_01]: aggressive and and play as well.
- 54:51[SPEAKER_01]: Like he located locates the ball well on the field and is a playmaker.
- 54:57[SPEAKER_01]: There's a very big difference between these two kind of guys.
- 55:00[SPEAKER_01]: Now they both can work in the NFL.
- 55:02[SPEAKER_01]: There's just one that you see more as, hey, this guy will probably be in all star for the next five, seven years at least compared to the other one where it's kind of like a, I hate to install your guy,
- 55:16[SPEAKER_02]: No, that's kind of what you're talking about there.
- 55:19[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's a slightly better bigger player because Josie had T-Rex arms a little bit.
- 55:24[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah.
- 55:25[SPEAKER_02]: He's getting every ounce of his physical ability because his linebacker a lot of times is a neck up position.
- 55:33[SPEAKER_01]: For sure.
- 55:35[SPEAKER_01]: And so there's a big place for those kind of guys.
- 55:38[SPEAKER_01]: And in the right system, you can really take advantage of him and he can go make you a few plays a year and he's not gonna be at the wrong place
- 55:46[SPEAKER_01]: where you're sitting, they're going crap.
- 55:48[SPEAKER_01]: Where what happened here, you know?
- 55:50[SPEAKER_01]: And so that's where you love those kind of guys.
- 55:52[SPEAKER_01]: You need them on your team, but they're also probably the players at times you're looking at, hey, can we upgrade?
- 55:58[SPEAKER_01]: If not, okay, we'll keep them.
- 56:00[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, Josie Jules stuck around and tell the concussions to go over.
- 56:04[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, there's always gonna be roster spots for them, but at the same, let's time, like I said, you're more looking for the sunny styles kinds if you can ever find them.
- 56:15[SPEAKER_02]: You have some more guys get into Carl, but we're wrapping up here.
- 56:18[SPEAKER_02]: I gotta move it pretty quickly.
- 56:20[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, we want to get into it.
- 56:22[SPEAKER_02]: Let's pull this one down, PJ Locke.
- 56:26[SPEAKER_02]: Probably gone.
- 56:27[SPEAKER_02]: The one dark horse here for that is he's tough if, because the Broncos can save some moving on from Brandon Jones.
- 56:35[SPEAKER_02]: Coming off the injury, Locke was well.
- 56:37[SPEAKER_02]: If you think you can save some money and Mike Locke coming in here, that'd be great.
- 56:42[SPEAKER_02]: He's another one with
- 56:44[SPEAKER_02]: the bills being sold at safety, maybe they bring them in to kind of implement some of the Jim Leonard stuff that he wants to do, but I would rather keep Jones and let lock walk, but there's always, you know, if you can get 90% of the player for 70% of the price, it's a lot of times good math for your team.
- 57:02[SPEAKER_02]: So something I consider I would say no right now though.
- 57:06[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 57:06[SPEAKER_01]: I'm with you.
- 57:13[SPEAKER_01]: The reason that you went got infonga is because there were some limitations to lock's game and how teams are able to take advantage of that.
- 57:21[SPEAKER_01]: So moving on from PJ lock, but let's see a couple other names here.
- 57:26[SPEAKER_02]: I think there's a bunch that are probably like easy guns.
- 57:34[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe you're talking, I mean, you do have 90 men on your roster come camp somewhere like in that you're bringing in to like run things and then practice squad.
- 57:42[SPEAKER_02]: and let leave, but you're talking about Michael Burton, gone the season, but a good fullback and a special team's player.
- 57:48[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe you have him vs. Prentice battle.
- 57:50[SPEAKER_02]: Everybody's gonna get, you know, a little bit ugly about this one, but a little Jordan Humphrey.
- 57:57[SPEAKER_02]: Do I want him on the active 53?
- 57:58[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 57:59[SPEAKER_02]: No, did useful player, but that's kind of an indictment of your roster.
- 58:06[SPEAKER_02]: Do I want them on the 90?
- 58:08[SPEAKER_02]: Sure, fine, that meant 90 signed me up.
- 58:11[SPEAKER_02]: That's correct.
- 58:12[SPEAKER_02]: He can help whatever.
- 58:14[SPEAKER_02]: So that's one, at least that's where I'm at.
- 58:16[SPEAKER_02]: It gets kind of a little spicier with the restricted free agents here.
- 58:21[SPEAKER_02]: I'll just give my quick thoughts.
- 58:22[SPEAKER_02]: You're already talking about Jake Juan Macmillan Carl.
- 58:24[SPEAKER_02]: I put a second round tender on him, Lucas Grohl, original round tender.
- 58:27[SPEAKER_02]: Undrafted for you know, somebody signs I've got a blast of not we got him on a contract Matt Henningson same thing got a fill out in 90 so original round tender.
- 58:35[SPEAKER_02]: That's a seventh round pick.
- 58:36[SPEAKER_02]: He's not going to cost a lot.
- 58:38[SPEAKER_02]: Then you talk about Jelil McLaughlin.
- 58:40[SPEAKER_02]: Probably at a major round tender.
- 58:42[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe that means he's out the door.
- 58:43[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not sure the two who are tough Carl here are Alex Pelchetsky and mate Atkins.
- 58:50[SPEAKER_02]: Useful players.
- 58:52[SPEAKER_02]: Undrafted for agents.
- 58:54[SPEAKER_02]: Because of that, if you put the original on tender on them, they are peep, a team can sign on for nothing.
- 59:00[SPEAKER_02]: You don't get anything back.
- 59:01[SPEAKER_02]: So right now, I'm probably a original round tender.
- 59:05[SPEAKER_02]: And then if somebody comes out, it's kind of the full of blinzy situation.
- 59:08[SPEAKER_02]: If you guys recall a few years ago, um, was it with Miami?
- 59:11[SPEAKER_02]: I don't remember.
- 59:12[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe Denver even rescinded the tender then.
- 59:13[SPEAKER_02]: But, uh, they put the original on tender and then, uh, use a lot to leave.
- 59:17[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe it's used to, I don't remember what team it was exactly.
- 59:20[SPEAKER_02]: Carl, but, uh,
- 59:21[SPEAKER_02]: I'll just add because I'm not quite sure what to do yet.
- 59:29[SPEAKER_01]: Well, Jessica, because he's been here in the system and offensive linemen are tough to find, and he's got a little bit of starting experience.
- 59:37[SPEAKER_01]: He can move around right tackle.
- 59:39[SPEAKER_01]: He played left guard.
- 59:41[SPEAKER_01]: You could probably put him in a right guard if you absolutely needed them to.
- 59:45[SPEAKER_01]: I would probably worry a lot more about losing him.
- 59:49[SPEAKER_01]: Nate Adkins, I'm not too worried about it.
- 59:52[SPEAKER_01]: Lessers like a team that loses a lot of players to injury at the position, you probably can get him back on the original round tender and be fine, you know, he was banged up this last year.
- 1:00:03[SPEAKER_01]: It's not like he came in and lit the league on fire by any means, so I think you can get away with that one, but offensive line, every team is looking for offensive linemen that have started experience.
- 1:00:15[SPEAKER_02]: held up okay when they were asked to go in there versus two isn't yeah and that versatility so I would probably worry a little bit more about losing him and the project we don't have the exact con numbers yet but over the cap has the second round tender at 5.8 million and the right-of-first refusal so the original round is only 3.5 million so the right-of-first refusal they sign a contract they bring it back to you and you can either match it or let it walk and we'll see
- 1:00:45[SPEAKER_02]: right now I lean into original round tender, but that's I mean that's there's a 2.3 million dollar difference between those so that makes it a little tough.
- 1:00:54[SPEAKER_02]: You haven't restricted free of the same elinger way here at the bottom.
- 1:00:58[SPEAKER_02]: take them really even for me.
- 1:00:59[SPEAKER_02]: No, no, no.
- 1:01:00[SPEAKER_02]: And then you're a exclusive right for agents back easy no question.
- 1:01:05[SPEAKER_02]: Devon key all pro.
- 1:01:07[SPEAKER_02]: Devon key Jordan Jackson.
- 1:01:08[SPEAKER_02]: The Andre Tillman and Tyler biday.
- 1:01:11[SPEAKER_02]: Easy bring them back ER phase.
- 1:01:13[SPEAKER_02]: Even if they don't make the roster, you still need to have 50 90 for.
- 1:01:16[SPEAKER_02]: spring.
- 1:01:17[SPEAKER_02]: So, and summer.
- 1:01:18[SPEAKER_02]: So, that's those are easy ones for me, but some tough decisions here, and we kind of talked about already Carl, but you have some choices to make with Ben Powers, and as well as Brandon Jones, who we talked about also.
- 1:01:29[SPEAKER_02]: So, we really got into it here.
- 1:01:33[SPEAKER_02]: linebackers fascinated me to see what Denver does.
- 1:01:36[SPEAKER_02]: I think they could do clean slate.
- 1:01:38[SPEAKER_02]: They already have a lot of money in degree mall relatively.
- 1:01:41[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see what we'll see what happens.
- 1:01:45[SPEAKER_02]: With that linebackers spot and yeah, bummer to lose probably lose John Franklin Myers, but kind of just as what it is at this point.
- 1:01:53[SPEAKER_01]: It is.
- 1:01:53[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm also interested to see what they do with Evan Ingraham when we get down to it.
- 1:01:58[SPEAKER_01]: doesn't sound like he wants to be back in Denver, not sure the Denver wants him back either.
- 1:02:02[SPEAKER_01]: And we'll just have to see what happens.
- 1:02:05[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, appreciate everyone coming in tonight and being a part of the chat here and getting into this conversation.
- 1:02:11[SPEAKER_01]: And this is, it's better sweet.
- 1:02:15[SPEAKER_01]: I wish we were talking about this another week later where we started actually getting into this.
- 1:02:20[SPEAKER_01]: But it is what it is.
- 1:02:22[SPEAKER_01]: Brown, because that is great season.
- 1:02:24[SPEAKER_01]: Now they got a chance to really build on it even more.
- 1:02:28[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely, it'll be a lot of fun.
- 1:02:30[SPEAKER_02]: Appreciate everyone coming in here today.
- 1:02:31[SPEAKER_02]: Got a lot of super chats, pop-and-bear, Shannon Mills, big-time one.
- 1:02:35[SPEAKER_02]: George Foxville, McLaughlin, of course.
- 1:02:37[SPEAKER_02]: Greg, good to see you Chase Wanderen House.
- 1:02:39[SPEAKER_02]: Shiloh is welcome in here with the linebacker love.
- 1:02:42[SPEAKER_02]: Good linebacker class, it'll be a lot of fun.
- 1:02:44[SPEAKER_02]: Really, good up to spine.
- 1:02:47[SPEAKER_02]: Not a lot of superstars in this class, but if you're looking for good rookie contract, players at defense unfortunately, not a lot of good five technique types, but no tackles, edge, lineback or safety, even coreback, I think, is solid, just not a good offensive line class, especially a tackle, not a good quarterback class, and I think pretty, not a good running back class after love, and I'd say average at wide receiver and tight end, maybe below average for,
- 1:03:15[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 1:03:16[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 1:03:16[SPEAKER_02]: There's a lot of guys around three and four, but just never need another tight end two or three type.
- 1:03:23[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 1:03:24[SPEAKER_02]: They need a needle mover.
- 1:03:25[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see any final thoughts, Carl.
- 1:03:29[SPEAKER_01]: No, just it was fun discussion, guys.
- 1:03:31[SPEAKER_01]: And I will be talking more and more about these guys.
- 1:03:33[SPEAKER_01]: We get closer and we got combine coming up.
- 1:03:36[SPEAKER_01]: We've got obviously free agency we'll be kicking off here in a little over a month.
- 1:03:42[SPEAKER_01]: So it's going to be a busy time here for my little
- 1:03:46[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, absolutely.
- 1:03:47[SPEAKER_02]: So appreciate everyone coming in here.
- 1:03:48[SPEAKER_02]: Make sure you're following Carl.

- 1:04:13[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, so I'm gonna take it off.
- 1:04:15[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, man, my parents are gonna be in town.
- 1:04:17[SPEAKER_02]: So, actually gonna go out and do something because it got a little support here in town.
- 1:04:21[SPEAKER_02]: So that'll be great.
