- 0:01Speaker 1: When I woke up this morning, I was feeling pretty dangerous.
- 0:03Speaker 1: But we're on a Cincinnati It's my team, it's my quarterback.
- 0:07Speaker 1: They are We thought they were and we got about. Hello,
- 0:11Speaker 1: you play to win the day. They want you to
- 0:14Speaker 1: cook the dinner. At least they ought to let your
- 0:16Speaker 1: shout for some of the grocery. And on the way up,
- 0:18Speaker 1: we're gonna buy a kneecap. All getting me playoffs. I'm
- 0:21Speaker 1: just here so I won't get fine? How could he
- 0:23Speaker 1: not be romantic about football after Oh that means something
- 0:26Speaker 1: a little extra today? Hello, everybody, Welcome to the bench
- 0:31Speaker 1: with Bonetta Podcast. We back Baby Mohan's back in studio.
- 0:35Speaker 1: What whoa? You have a nice time ditching us for
- 0:40Speaker 1: your vacation. Oh, can't come to the combine? How convenient.
- 0:46Speaker 1: It's a tough flight. I'm just kidding, farming one. Happy
- 0:49Speaker 1: to have you back, though, Bud. Thank you look great.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Speaking of people who are looking great, somebody turned thirty.
- 0:55Speaker 1: Whoooooo Junkyard Dog, Happy thirtieth birthday, my friends, Wow, thank
- 0:58Speaker 1: you so much. Yeah, no problem, we're both thirty. So
- 1:00Speaker 1: how does it feel to join the club. It feels
- 1:02Speaker 1: old and wise. I feel wiser today. Bro, we're older
- 1:06Speaker 1: than you. You can't you can't say that I brought
- 1:11Speaker 1: you a little something, something like a little nice warm
- 1:14Speaker 1: bottle of shamps over there. Fancy way you crack it.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Let's a little pop? Oh so I get it? Is
- 1:24Speaker 1: it a twisty? Oh that's not cool? It toppened. I
- 1:27Speaker 1: want to have a little sip of it. I allowed
- 1:29Speaker 1: to do this at work. No one's gonna tell on you.
- 1:30Speaker 1: No one's listening, all right, have a little sip. Yeah,
- 1:33Speaker 1: HR doesn't listen to this. I'm I'm just faking this, bosses.
- 1:36Speaker 1: I think, No, he's not drinking at all. Well that's
- 1:38Speaker 1: a huge goal. Happy birthday, Junkyard Dog. Somebody came out
- 1:43Speaker 1: to me in Indie and said, where's Junkyard Dog? Where's Mohan? Wow?
- 1:48Speaker 1: The actually didn't not squere you, but they did. They
- 1:51Speaker 1: did ask where Justin was? No, and then they elaborate
- 1:54Speaker 1: and they said, well, I really wanted to see like
- 1:56Speaker 1: Mohan and Justin and like Pete. I was like, why
- 1:58Speaker 1: would Pete be here because he used to meet all
- 2:01Speaker 1: the all the Oh yeah right, that's right. He's gonna
- 2:04Speaker 1: get upset if I'm ever around a football player. Again
- 2:06Speaker 1: and he can't introduce himself. Guys, we missed you in
- 2:10Speaker 1: a combine. Everyone wanted you to be there. But we
- 2:12Speaker 1: are back in action. And you know what, I'm a
- 2:14Speaker 1: little bit cheese today because a lot of news hit
- 2:19Speaker 1: the airwaves, and to be honest, it was a little
- 2:23Speaker 1: selfish of everybody. It is International Women's Day. That's where
- 2:27Speaker 1: I'm wearing my Celine Dion shirt. How dare they interrupted
- 2:32Speaker 1: a day that no women actually cares about. But y'all
- 2:36Speaker 1: should y'all men should? Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson absolutely blowing
- 2:41Speaker 1: the world up while I'm trying to golf. How dare they?
- 2:45Speaker 1: This was supposed to be like my nice day off,
- 2:47Speaker 1: ketchup on sleep, Pete made me some breakfast this morning,
- 2:51Speaker 1: going golfing with my brother. No have to be on
- 2:54Speaker 1: my phone the whole time. Got crushed. Got crushed a
- 2:56Speaker 1: golf would have won otherwise probably, But let's get into this.
- 2:59Speaker 1: So the first things first, Aaron Rodgers back and forth.
- 3:02Speaker 1: No one had any idea what this guy was doing.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Is he retiring? Did he break up with Shane Lean?
- 3:08Speaker 1: Everyone saw him at Arawan? Are they back together? There
- 3:10Speaker 1: were so many questions Aaron Rodgers is staying in Green
- 3:14Speaker 1: Bay four Okay, so the Ian Rappaport tweeted that it
- 3:19Speaker 1: was four years and oh my god, he's gonna be
- 3:21Speaker 1: the highest paid football player in the history of the NFL.
- 3:23Speaker 1: And then Pat McAfee was like, well, I have a
- 3:25Speaker 1: source too, and actually that's not what's happening, and nothing
- 3:28Speaker 1: has been agreed upon and blah blah blah blah blah,
- 3:30Speaker 1: and then Aaron Rodgers tweeted out, yes, I'm staying, but
- 3:33Speaker 1: nothing's been signed. So yeah, do we know what the
- 3:36Speaker 1: terms are? Have they? Nothing has come out yet. We
- 3:39Speaker 1: just know that Aaron Rodgers wanted to correct the would
- 3:43Speaker 1: you have cared if somebody said that you're gonna be
- 3:44Speaker 1: the highest paid football player? Actually, there's a different side
- 3:47Speaker 1: to this, because yes, actually maybe you would care if
- 3:50Speaker 1: people thought that you were the highest paid football player.
- 3:52Speaker 1: You're already the quarterback, you're already a superstar celebrity, and
- 3:56Speaker 1: then if you're in the locker room and also people
- 3:59Speaker 1: think that you're making a bajillion dollars, that might be
- 4:02Speaker 1: a little bit weird. I think I would be more
- 4:04Speaker 1: embarrassed if they said I was and then I wasn't
- 4:09Speaker 1: you know, no, I too. I truly think he's going
- 4:12Speaker 1: to be his MVP. Two years in a row. He's
- 4:14Speaker 1: still playing scene amount of one hundred and fifty three
- 4:17Speaker 1: million guarantee? Do we know off the top of our
- 4:19Speaker 1: heads what m Patrick Mahomes was because he's the next
- 4:22Speaker 1: next one, right, Wasn't it like a sixty or three
- 4:25Speaker 1: hundred million dollars insane contract or something like that? But
- 4:28Speaker 1: this one is what four hundred something? I think it
- 4:32Speaker 1: was two. We do a really good job with this podcast.
- 4:35Speaker 1: We have all the numbers right now. Four years, two
- 4:38Speaker 1: hundred million with one hundred and fifty three million guarantee.
- 4:41Speaker 1: One hundred and fifty is that right? Something million guaranteed
- 4:44Speaker 1: is what that's That's what they reported. Then Rogers said
- 4:47Speaker 1: the terms of the contract I signed and he put
- 4:50Speaker 1: signed in air quotes, right, we're incorrect? Or yeah, Lucy
- 4:55Speaker 1: said that he's coming back for years. You know what,
- 4:59Speaker 1: I do kind of feel for him. Okay, Mahomes signed
- 5:01Speaker 1: a five hundred and two million, ten year contract. Okay, wow, Okay,
- 5:06Speaker 1: so it's just absolutely insane. Aaron Rodgers would be, I guess,
- 5:10Speaker 1: the richest guy in the NFL. Right, Listen, I was
- 5:14Speaker 1: ready to come in here and guns ablazing and just say,
- 5:17Speaker 1: no one cares, why do you? Why are you taking
- 5:20Speaker 1: this long to make your decision. You did the exact
- 5:23Speaker 1: same thing last year. You ended up coming back like
- 5:25Speaker 1: just you know, keep it private and whatever. And then
- 5:29Speaker 1: I started thinking to myself, like, in my personal history
- 5:34Speaker 1: of signing contracts, it takes a really long time. And
- 5:37Speaker 1: I'm not a diva like Aaron Rodgers. Maybe Okay, don't
- 5:41Speaker 1: have that smirk on your face. I'm not I'm not
- 5:43Speaker 1: demand I not demanding cars and jewels. They wouldn't give
- 5:47Speaker 1: it to me anyways. Um, But listen, these things take
- 5:50Speaker 1: a lot of time, and it's just crappy that he
- 5:53Speaker 1: is a public figure that everyone cares so much about.
- 5:57Speaker 1: It's like out of his control. Congratulations, Aaron rod You're
- 6:00Speaker 1: probably going to be the richest person in the NFL,
- 6:02Speaker 1: and people shouldn't hate you for that. It's not our fault,
- 6:04Speaker 1: it's not his fault that he's amazing. So I think
- 6:06Speaker 1: that everyone should just kind of like get off his case.
- 6:09Speaker 1: If he was ready to be on his case, and
- 6:11Speaker 1: I'm saying I'm backing away. Listen, this is good for you.
- 6:13Speaker 1: I think if people enjoyed his personality a little bit more,
- 6:16Speaker 1: they would not be so on his case. But who
- 6:19Speaker 1: are they to judge that we're just gonna get to
- 6:20Speaker 1: know him more. We don't know him for we are
- 6:22Speaker 1: only listen four years. You have a lot of money.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Guess what we get way more Aaron Rodgers, because he
- 6:27Speaker 1: is on this tear of being on these podcasts and
- 6:30Speaker 1: sharing his book club, and it's only gonna go up.
- 6:33Speaker 1: It's only he's only going to be more open. And
- 6:35Speaker 1: this is the state of the world social media. If
- 6:38Speaker 1: you want to be a superstar, you gotta let people
- 6:40Speaker 1: into your world. I love how he said his off seat,
- 6:44Speaker 1: his free agency is going to be a beautiful mystery.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Like remember you said that before? And they don't make
- 6:49Speaker 1: change dragged everyone around Listen, he could listen. He could
- 6:54Speaker 1: do what like Kyler Murray did and like totally erase
- 6:57Speaker 1: his Instagram. He could do even what Russell Wilson did
- 7:00Speaker 1: and take Seattle Seahawks out of his Twitter handle. I
- 7:03Speaker 1: don't think he did any of that stuff. I think
- 7:05Speaker 1: he's just he is who he is, and he's just
- 7:08Speaker 1: coming along for the ride. And I think he loves
- 7:11Speaker 1: rolling the people and like just look at his Twitter
- 7:14Speaker 1: avatar picture. It's the toes pick that's sick. He's just
- 7:18Speaker 1: he enjoys. Who put that in the chat today? That
- 7:20Speaker 1: was possibly? Did we already talk about his Wiki feet rating? Yeah?
- 7:25Speaker 1: And the fact that I looked it up. Yeah. I
- 7:27Speaker 1: need a life. I need things to do. Oh boy.
- 7:31Speaker 1: So Aaron Rodgers staying with the Packers. Um, if you're
- 7:35Speaker 1: a Packers fan, are you stoked about this news? But yes,
- 7:39Speaker 1: don't look me. He's an incredible football player, but like
- 7:42Speaker 1: he just kind of dragged you through the mud, and
- 7:43Speaker 1: like you have no idea when this guy is going
- 7:45Speaker 1: to turn around and leave. Jordan Love's probably gonna leave,
- 7:47Speaker 1: so you're not even gonna have that's all out of
- 7:49Speaker 1: a backup quarterback? Are you really like I feel like
- 7:53Speaker 1: in a in a relationship, I don't really trust you anymore. Yeah.
- 7:57Speaker 1: I think, Um, like the Patriots messed up by letting
- 8:01Speaker 1: go of Tom Brady because they thought he was washed
- 8:03Speaker 1: or whatever. Yeah. I think the Packers probably feared if
- 8:05Speaker 1: they let him walk and didn't overpay, he was going
- 8:08Speaker 1: to be another Town Brady, and they like they would
- 8:11Speaker 1: be kicking themselves if they didn't. I mean, he may
- 8:13Speaker 1: have treated Packers fans wrong, but like you said, he's
- 8:15Speaker 1: one MVP twice in a row. He's probably still no.
- 8:18Speaker 1: I know you kind of like gott to let go
- 8:19Speaker 1: of that stuff. But I think that if, like you know,
- 8:20Speaker 1: Baker did that to us, I'd always be like, he's
- 8:23Speaker 1: leaving any minute. I'm not going to get too attached
- 8:24Speaker 1: to him again. Who knows. Speaking of somebody else, they
- 8:28Speaker 1: hit the road. Russell Wilson is out of Seattle and
- 8:33Speaker 1: is on to Denver. Yeah, I can totally there, thank you.
- 8:40Speaker 1: They're gonna be the Duttons. They are going to be
- 8:42Speaker 1: the Duttons of Colorado. I can totally see them buying
- 8:45Speaker 1: up a ranch, having some horses, having some cows, Sira
- 8:50Speaker 1: becoming a cowgirl. And I only say this because I'm
- 8:53Speaker 1: binging Yellowstone right now. It really has nothing to do
- 8:55Speaker 1: with anything, um Russell Wilson. Listen. The most incredible part
- 9:00Speaker 1: of this whole thing, So they're whatever Broncos are setting
- 9:05Speaker 1: Drew lock Noo a fan Shelby Harris, two first rounders,
- 9:08Speaker 1: two second rounders to Seattle for Russell Wilson in the
- 9:11Speaker 1: fourth round pick. The best part about this whole thing
- 9:15Speaker 1: was the tweet that the Seahawks sent out after it happened.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Did you guys see this? That was just honestly who
- 9:22Speaker 1: got fired today because of that? Shout outs to them?
- 9:27Speaker 1: I'm so sorry you probably thought so. Did you see
- 9:29Speaker 1: what happened to the Broncos, I believe, tweeted Tom Hanks,
- 9:33Speaker 1: kind of like playing with the Wilson volleyball with the
- 9:36Speaker 1: bloody champrint. Yeah, And so the Zeahawks tweeted another video
- 9:41Speaker 1: of topics being like nah, well said the famous who exactly?
- 9:47Speaker 1: Now that you just don't do I kind of get
- 9:51Speaker 1: what they were doing. Like I really feel like teams
- 9:53Speaker 1: kind of create these personas online and you have to
- 9:56Speaker 1: stick with these personas, and like, obviously the persona of
- 9:59Speaker 1: the Seahawks would be sad that Russell Wilson, their quarterback,
- 10:03Speaker 1: is leaving, but there's just so much, so many other
- 10:08Speaker 1: heavy things hangover it. And like I was looking before
- 10:10Speaker 1: it got deleted, because it is now deleted, by the way,
- 10:14Speaker 1: before it got deleted, I was looking in the comments
- 10:16Speaker 1: and everyone was just so pissed. They were already pissed
- 10:20Speaker 1: that he was leaving, and then for the Seahawks to
- 10:22Speaker 1: just pour absolute gasoline onto this fire was I was
- 10:27Speaker 1: just I felt like Elmo with the flames behind me,
- 10:29Speaker 1: Like you traded away your best player in franchise history
- 10:34Speaker 1: and the team that's like the guy that's like carried
- 10:39Speaker 1: this team the rest of the way, Like what are
- 10:40Speaker 1: you gonna do? The saddest thing was watching me and
- 10:43Speaker 1: at Kimes just like tweet into the abyss all day,
- 10:48Speaker 1: like just spiraling out of control. Poor girl. But also
- 10:54Speaker 1: I'm kind of surprized that why would you want to
- 10:58Speaker 1: go to the AFC right now? The AFC is like
- 11:02Speaker 1: stacked and you're going into the same division as Patrick
- 11:05Speaker 1: Mahomes and some pissed off chiefs that are gonna really
- 11:08Speaker 1: want to just smash everybody the next few years. Also,
- 11:13Speaker 1: what are we gonna do? We're never gonna do anything.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Oh no aka the Browns. Ye shout outs to Kevin Sfansky,
- 11:22Speaker 1: my new bff that I met at the combine. Um,
- 11:24Speaker 1: why would you want to go? If Russell Wilson? Okay,
- 11:26Speaker 1: how old is Russell Wilson? He's got to be in
- 11:28Speaker 1: his Is he a part of the thirty club? Please
- 11:30Speaker 1: tell me he's part of the thirty club? So he's
- 11:33Speaker 1: like what thirty four thirty three. Um, I'm assuming he
- 11:38Speaker 1: wants to go to a place right now, that's like, okay,
- 11:40Speaker 1: I might only have a few more years left, even
- 11:42Speaker 1: though he's you know, relatively healthy looking. I need to
- 11:45Speaker 1: go to a place that I'm going to win a
- 11:47Speaker 1: Super Bowl at. Like, I don't know, do you really
- 11:51Speaker 1: think you're gonna do that in the AFC? Like, that's
- 11:53Speaker 1: just really I do not have any faith in these
- 11:56Speaker 1: guys at all. Um, their odds did go up quite
- 12:00Speaker 1: a bit, which we're going to talk about in this
- 12:01Speaker 1: next segment. But let me ask you this right now. Guys,
- 12:03Speaker 1: if you were Russell Wilson and you had your you know,
- 12:06Speaker 1: pick of a bunch of teams, where would you have gone?
- 12:08Speaker 1: I would have gone to Cleveland. Yeah, hero status immediately,
- 12:13Speaker 1: because you're automatically going to be better than Baker Mayfield. Sorry, Baker,
- 12:16Speaker 1: I love you so much. You're already get any better.
- 12:19Speaker 1: There's actually you know, you're still in the AFC, but
- 12:21Speaker 1: you could take a team from the bottom of the
- 12:23Speaker 1: barrel and make them halfway decent, and oh my god,
- 12:26Speaker 1: what an achievement. Where would you go? Would you leave
- 12:29Speaker 1: the AFC? I would maybe I would go to the
- 12:34Speaker 1: forty nine ers and just stick it to the Seahawks.
- 12:37Speaker 1: I would love that. If you could choose anywhere, I
- 12:39Speaker 1: think i'd go Washington. Well, if I was Russ, If
- 12:42Speaker 1: I was Russ, Yeah, Washington. There's that's a little messy.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Washington organization is what it is. We're not going to
- 12:48Speaker 1: comment on it as employees of the NFL. But the fact,
- 12:52Speaker 1: I mean, they have Terry McLaurin, they got Curtis Samuel,
- 12:54Speaker 1: they got Antonio Gibson, their defense is pretty good, they
- 12:57Speaker 1: have a good head coach in Ron Rivera. They're in
- 12:59Speaker 1: the nf NC. NFC is the money spot. I think
- 13:02Speaker 1: he just gotta Russ should have just stated that. And
- 13:05Speaker 1: Washington had three first rounders on the table. God, forty
- 13:09Speaker 1: nine ers all, there were just one great quarterback away
- 13:11Speaker 1: from being like World Champions forex, like two or three
- 13:13Speaker 1: years in a row. Yeah, I think they're such a
- 13:15Speaker 1: solid team. But that's a little dicey because you'd still
- 13:17Speaker 1: be in the same spot as the Rams. It would
- 13:19Speaker 1: be messy, it's but you'd get the revenge game twice
- 13:23Speaker 1: a year against the app. Yeah. Do you think he
- 13:26Speaker 1: wants that thought? Do you think he's leaving because He's
- 13:27Speaker 1: like mad, I don't know. Ably there's like a power
- 13:30Speaker 1: struggle going on between him and I remember two years
- 13:33Speaker 1: ago when we were when I was still at Fox,
- 13:34Speaker 1: we were talking about that on our show all the time.
- 13:36Speaker 1: What's the drama going on with Russell Wilson? What's happening
- 13:39Speaker 1: behind the scenes? Um, anyways, guys, So my day was
- 13:42Speaker 1: ruined by Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson, Thank you very much.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Lots going on, And I'm sure it's so funny because
- 13:50Speaker 1: we launched this podcast as such an interesting time, like
- 13:53Speaker 1: literally right before the Super Bowl, and I was trying
- 13:55Speaker 1: to tell my boss is like, guys, what are we
- 13:57Speaker 1: going to talk about in the offseason? Like that, that's
- 13:59Speaker 1: the majority of what our podcast is going to be
- 14:01Speaker 1: until next season. It is gonna be in the middle
- 14:04Speaker 1: of nowhere. And they're like, oh, just you wait. And
- 14:08Speaker 1: it has been a wild ride ever since. Yea, the
- 14:10Speaker 1: dominos are all gonna fall in now, gonna be crazy.
- 14:15Speaker 1: So in the next like what strap in for the
- 14:16Speaker 1: next week or two? Were we gonna hear me more stuff?
- 14:18Speaker 1: You think? Well? Free agency negotiating window opens on Monday, baby,
- 14:24Speaker 1: all right, guys, Well, next week make sure you're tuning
- 14:26Speaker 1: in as well. All right, do we need to go
- 14:29Speaker 1: to break junkyard dog? Are we going straight into? Depends
- 14:33Speaker 1: how much combine stuff you want to get into. Oh,
- 14:37Speaker 1: I should probably comment on the combine was fun. I've
- 14:41Speaker 1: never been there before. It was really It was quite
- 14:44Speaker 1: stressful actually to be down on the sideline because you
- 14:47Speaker 1: all at all times think that you're in the way,
- 14:50Speaker 1: and these guys are literally having the most important day
- 14:53Speaker 1: of their life. So like I was trying to do
- 14:55Speaker 1: like stand ups. There was the very first day I
- 14:59Speaker 1: was shooting a bit on like the forty yard Dash.
- 15:02Speaker 1: I was the timer. I don't know if you guys
- 15:03Speaker 1: saw that. How did the cud the clocking go? I was.
- 15:06Speaker 1: I was very bad at it actually, um but we
- 15:09Speaker 1: were down there and I had enough common sense not
- 15:12Speaker 1: to move because there was no There was so quiet
- 15:16Speaker 1: and every creak of the like metal stadium seating was
- 15:20Speaker 1: so loud, and so I was like drake my art
- 15:22Speaker 1: shooter and editor. I was like, we are not moving
- 15:24Speaker 1: until these guys are done. And this woman comes down,
- 15:28Speaker 1: go go go. She's holding like chicken fingers and fries
- 15:32Speaker 1: and an extra large coke and she's like smashing her
- 15:36Speaker 1: way down the seats and she got yelled at, and
- 15:40Speaker 1: then I started getting text messages from my boss thinking
- 15:43Speaker 1: that they were yelling at me. Anyways, clip went viral
- 15:48Speaker 1: of me shooting my bit in the stands and I
- 15:53Speaker 1: was pretending to time somebody, and it like blew up
- 15:56Speaker 1: online because people thought it was a real stopwatch time
- 15:59Speaker 1: when they're like, wow, International Women's Day, shout out to
- 16:03Speaker 1: women working in NFL. This lady takes her job seriously.
- 16:06Speaker 1: And like, I wasn't even recording, there was no guy
- 16:09Speaker 1: running in front of me. I was literally just timing it.
- 16:14Speaker 1: Your girl's an actress. Oh yeah, you looked super into it,
- 16:16Speaker 1: I mean following the watch with the guy. But I
- 16:19Speaker 1: felt bad because so many people were tweeting such lovely things.
- 16:23Speaker 1: They're like wow, I wonder which team she's working for,
- 16:25Speaker 1: and I wonder which guy she's watching, and like, oh
- 16:27Speaker 1: my god, she's so great at her job. And I
- 16:29Speaker 1: didn't want to be like, ah, this is for a
- 16:31Speaker 1: dumb sketch that I wrote, and you are absolutely wrong
- 16:37Speaker 1: it yeah, so many people it's crazy when wild, but
- 16:42Speaker 1: the combine was so fun. I avoided Saint Elmo's and
- 16:45Speaker 1: Prime One twelve or whatever the hell that place is called,
- 16:48Speaker 1: which are like the places to go at Combine. So
- 16:50Speaker 1: I think I did actually a pretty good job. Can
- 16:52Speaker 1: I tell you a story that happened at Prime? Here
- 16:55Speaker 1: we go, all right, one of these nights, we're getting
- 16:57Speaker 1: a little bit crazy. We're taking shots with the running
- 17:00Speaker 1: back coach of the Packers, and we're like, we're having
- 17:02Speaker 1: a great time introducing ourselves to people. Yeah, we worked
- 17:05Speaker 1: for NFL media. Yeah, how's it going. Kevin Stefanski is there?
- 17:09Speaker 1: I know you got to meet him? Yes I did.
- 17:11Speaker 1: I had the chance to ask him a very important question.
- 17:13Speaker 1: Oh no, I said, hey, coach, how does it feel
- 17:17Speaker 1: to be the most attractive head coach? And no, you didn't.
- 17:21Speaker 1: And he said, man, Matt Laflour is right over there,
- 17:26Speaker 1: That's what he said. What a cool, classy guy. He
- 17:29Speaker 1: is a classy guy. I gotta say. I saw him
- 17:30Speaker 1: up close and personal. What a lovely gentleman he is.
- 17:34Speaker 1: It's a strong song, pepper Beard strong. And it was
- 17:37Speaker 1: so nice and normal and kind. And I did not
- 17:39Speaker 1: know his background, Like he comes from some pretty fancy people,
- 17:42Speaker 1: and for him to be like normal and nice, I
- 17:45Speaker 1: was very shocked. But he was lovely. He was like
- 17:48Speaker 1: wearing a really cool like Brown's jacket, just like repping
- 17:52Speaker 1: the brand at all times. That was my coolest thing.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Oh and John Lynch came up to me and said,
- 17:56Speaker 1: you make a really good mooch. That was cool. He's aware. Also,
- 18:01Speaker 1: I couldn't believe how many people, like some people came
- 18:05Speaker 1: up to me and told me like, oh, I loved
- 18:07Speaker 1: your Cooper cup or whatever, And I'm like, how are
- 18:09Speaker 1: these people knowing who I am outside of you know,
- 18:12Speaker 1: facial hair, And I was I thought I was pretty
- 18:17Speaker 1: well hidden because I just keep on dressing up as men,
- 18:19Speaker 1: But I guess not. Combine was cool though. It was
- 18:22Speaker 1: really cool to see these guys just um, it was
- 18:25Speaker 1: nerve racking because you can hear a pin drop in
- 18:27Speaker 1: that place and they're trying to change their lives. So
- 18:30Speaker 1: it was awesome. All right, coming up, let's secure the bag, baby,
- 18:38Speaker 1: Let's take a look ahead to next season, make some
- 18:41Speaker 1: early leans look at Yeah, um, all right, I really
- 18:56Speaker 1: didn't think that we were going to be doing this
- 18:58Speaker 1: so close to the Super Bowl, because like, what is
- 19:00Speaker 1: there to be having early leans on? But now we
- 19:04Speaker 1: now we've got some pretty good material to work with.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Let's talk a little AFC Odds um and where the
- 19:12Speaker 1: Broncos fall After this big old trade with Russell Wilson,
- 19:17Speaker 1: they now have the third best odds to win the
- 19:19Speaker 1: AFC at plus seven hundred. Only the Bills and the
- 19:24Speaker 1: Chiefs are ahead of them. They have they have better
- 19:27Speaker 1: odds than the Bengals who were just in the Super Bowl.
- 19:31Speaker 1: It's pretty crazy. Do you really think that Russell Wilson's
- 19:33Speaker 1: gonna make that big of a Yeah, defense is so good,
- 19:37Speaker 1: they have weapons on off it. It's gonna be like
- 19:39Speaker 1: when Peyton Manning went to Denver and they just had
- 19:43Speaker 1: everything ready but the quarterback. Um. Do we really feel
- 19:47Speaker 1: that confident in Russell Wilson's skills though, because, I mean
- 19:51Speaker 1: the last few years have kind of been like very
- 19:53Speaker 1: wishy washy, Like I remember parts of the season he
- 19:56Speaker 1: was absolutely carrying the team, and then other parts of
- 19:58Speaker 1: the season we were like, what is going on? The
- 20:00Speaker 1: finger must still be absolutely broken. There were times when
- 20:04Speaker 1: it was like let Russ cook, and there were other
- 20:06Speaker 1: times where it was like get this guy out of
- 20:07Speaker 1: get the backup chef. Hit the backup chef. He's gonna
- 20:10Speaker 1: start a fire. But does anyone go all in better
- 20:12Speaker 1: than the Broncos. I mean, Peyton Manning was a huge
- 20:15Speaker 1: swing and it worked out. This one kind of not
- 20:17Speaker 1: fair for the rest of us, Like Bronchos fans must
- 20:20Speaker 1: be having a hoot their whole fandom. Um, but it
- 20:24Speaker 1: must be pretty exciting to get Russell Wilson. I feel
- 20:26Speaker 1: like I would really like him as a quarterback. He's
- 20:27Speaker 1: he's seemingly a little odd. It's definitely cheesy, but pretty like.
- 20:33Speaker 1: I feel like he's a good dude. He's on the
- 20:35Speaker 1: wall upstairs, He's on the wall. And like the word
- 20:38Speaker 1: integrity or like respect, I think it is integrity under it,
- 20:43Speaker 1: just like over his body he represents. He represents integrity. Interesting.
- 20:49Speaker 1: Uh yeah, I guess I would be excited. And maybe
- 20:51Speaker 1: it's good for Russell Wilson, like he's been with Seattle
- 20:54Speaker 1: his whole career. I think it might. You know, sometimes
- 20:57Speaker 1: you just need to change. Sometimes you need to leave
- 21:00Speaker 1: a company and go to a new company and then
- 21:03Speaker 1: all of a sudden you're thriving, right, you know what
- 21:05Speaker 1: I'm saying. On also an interesting effect to change the
- 21:12Speaker 1: subject immediately. Russell Wilson is now going to be the
- 21:15Speaker 1: first quarterback to start for a team you beat in
- 21:17Speaker 1: the Super Bowl, and the Seahawks play and the and
- 21:20Speaker 1: the Broncos played the Seahawks in Seattle. We were talking about, Yeah,
- 21:26Speaker 1: they're also plus two hundred to win AFC West. Uh,
- 21:29Speaker 1: And they jumped around, right, The Broncos jumped from plus
- 21:33Speaker 1: four thirty the third best favorites too, to plus two hundred.
- 21:37Speaker 1: So I wonder plus what were they to win the AFC?
- 21:41Speaker 1: We were just talking about this plus twelve hundred. That
- 21:43Speaker 1: seems really that seems like better odds than I would
- 21:46Speaker 1: give them. But we're thinking that maybe Aaron Rodgers was factoring.
- 21:51Speaker 1: They knew they were gonna get somebody good. Um, who
- 21:54Speaker 1: would you have rather, Aaron Rodgers or Rest Wilson on
- 21:56Speaker 1: the Browns Broncos? On the Broncos. If I was the
- 21:59Speaker 1: Broncos fan, who are you chairing for? I would be
- 22:02Speaker 1: chairing for Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers, Yeah, I mean he's just better.
- 22:06Speaker 1: But Aaron Rodgers is a little bit older, true, a
- 22:08Speaker 1: little bit weirder, definitely weird, definitely weird. Well Russ is
- 22:12Speaker 1: pretty weird, no, but I mean it in a different way.
- 22:14Speaker 1: I mean in a like halfway out the door, kind
- 22:16Speaker 1: of like I'm gonna go retire when I shouldn't. True
- 22:19Speaker 1: kind of thing that's true. I don't think Russell Wilson
- 22:21Speaker 1: is all about integrity. I don't think Rogers would want
- 22:23Speaker 1: to like follow in Peyton's footsteps, like the microscope would
- 22:27Speaker 1: be under him if like he didn't win and be like, oh,
- 22:30Speaker 1: he's an older quarterback that left. That's an interesting to
- 22:32Speaker 1: a team that's built. I heard that he was actually
- 22:34Speaker 1: really thinking about the Broncos. I don't think it was
- 22:36Speaker 1: just like a retirement Packers like. I really think that
- 22:38Speaker 1: he was pursuing all options. Yeah. Well, his his offensive
- 22:40Speaker 1: coordinator is the head coach there now, Nathaniel Hackett. So
- 22:43Speaker 1: it would have made sense a lot of people. Just
- 22:45Speaker 1: like being around the NFL people and the insiders, a
- 22:47Speaker 1: lot of people have been telling me things and they
- 22:49Speaker 1: and they, you know, end the sentence by no one's
- 22:53Speaker 1: gonna believe you anyways. Wow. And so I've just I
- 22:56Speaker 1: just go home and tell Pete and we just have
- 22:58Speaker 1: fun with it when it comes true. Nice. Um, Okay,
- 23:01Speaker 1: next thing, I want to talk about his best thing
- 23:02Speaker 1: I saw or heard this week. We've got some really
- 23:05Speaker 1: good things obviously, top of the list. Maybe we got
- 23:09Speaker 1: do we playing the song about this song? Yeah, the
- 23:12Speaker 1: base the top of the list. Number one, best thing
- 23:17Speaker 1: I saw slash worst thing has got crag stopped dancing.
- 23:20Speaker 1: We get it. One sip of the prosecco and he's
- 23:25Speaker 1: we say sip and you just about chugg a lugged
- 23:27Speaker 1: the whole thing. This is a good song. Wo I
- 23:30Speaker 1: gotta say Seahawks tweet is number one. You've done social
- 23:34Speaker 1: media before? Okay, this is actually a really good question.
- 23:36Speaker 1: Mohan's done social media for Fox Sports and you use
- 23:40Speaker 1: a lot of pressure to tweet these things. Has there
- 23:43Speaker 1: ever been anything that's gotten you into trouble? And I
- 23:46Speaker 1: don't mean necessarily with bosses. I just mean like you
- 23:48Speaker 1: see the responses and you're like, Okay, that was not
- 23:50Speaker 1: a good tweet. No, no, what nothing, never because you
- 23:54Speaker 1: just like double check, triple check. Yeah, and I would yeah,
- 23:59Speaker 1: you absolutely sure. I'm trying to think of I've ever
- 24:02Speaker 1: gotten into trouble for tweeting something. Honestly, I am such
- 24:06Speaker 1: a paranoid person, like I will just think about what
- 24:09Speaker 1: how can this be taken any which way? Like I
- 24:12Speaker 1: it's just too it's too dicey. People are just ready
- 24:15Speaker 1: to attack you at any moment. You can't just be
- 24:17Speaker 1: tweeting into the ether. I don't know how Sale gets
- 24:20Speaker 1: away with a lot of the stuff. That's well, That's
- 24:23Speaker 1: the thing is, like some people do have the audience
- 24:25Speaker 1: that they can tweet anything and they don't get in
- 24:27Speaker 1: trouble like sal Like he just he doesn't care. He
- 24:30Speaker 1: doesn't care, so he can tweet all of these crazy
- 24:33Speaker 1: things and you know it doesn't affect him. But that
- 24:36Speaker 1: Seahawks tweet, I'm so sorry. I do actually feel bad
- 24:39Speaker 1: for the person that tweeted that. I bet you one
- 24:40Speaker 1: thousand percent they're fired, especially since they deleted it. They
- 24:44Speaker 1: deleted it because they were being absolutely roasted. Even I
- 24:48Speaker 1: tweeted it, like what are you thinking? Okay, next, another
- 24:51Speaker 1: great thing that I saw, which I actually don't know
- 24:53Speaker 1: how I would feel if I was von Miller's teammate.
- 24:57Speaker 1: He put on Instagram him back in his Broncos jersey
- 25:01Speaker 1: and he's like, I wonder if my locker is still open,
- 25:03Speaker 1: which is crazy because he did that before they got
- 25:06Speaker 1: ross spice of lice. Well, he must have heard the
- 25:09Speaker 1: news or was thinking that Aaron Rodgers was going Yeah,
- 25:12Speaker 1: so that he heard that one of the two was
- 25:13Speaker 1: going and he was psyched about it. I don't know which.
- 25:15Speaker 1: If you were a Rams fan, Like, if you were,
- 25:18Speaker 1: you know, his teammate, I think i'd be a little cheese, like,
- 25:21Speaker 1: we just got you a super Bowl. Yeah, you know,
- 25:24Speaker 1: he also won them one, So it's kind of like
- 25:26Speaker 1: I'd be okay with that. Wow, Okay, I'm giving you
- 25:29Speaker 1: all of these things to jump in on, be spicy about,
- 25:31Speaker 1: and you were just not spicy today. I gotta you know, Um, Kyler.
- 25:37Speaker 1: Another great thing that I saw his Instagram's back, Folks,
- 25:40Speaker 1: Cardinals fans, you can take a deep breath of relief.
- 25:46Speaker 1: What a dumb thing that we all just went through.
- 25:50Speaker 1: Can I can I say that like this was just
- 25:53Speaker 1: such a waste of everyone's time. It was and very immature.
- 25:56Speaker 1: Did you see his interaction with Mina Kimes? That was
- 25:59Speaker 1: pretty interesting? Um? I didn't. I saw the Cardinals tweet
- 26:04Speaker 1: with Mina, and then I saw Mina's rebuttal, and then
- 26:06Speaker 1: Kyler responded. Tyler quoted Mina's picture of him wearing an
- 26:10Speaker 1: A's jersey, three crying laughing emojis. Stop it, dot dot dot,
- 26:18Speaker 1: this is our second Mina. Um shout out on this podcast.
- 26:22Speaker 1: I think this she actually might be the best sports
- 26:24Speaker 1: person on Twitter that exists. Or there was one tweet
- 26:30Speaker 1: Josiah is up there, King Josiah is up there. But
- 26:32Speaker 1: I actually think friend of the Pod Friend of the
- 26:34Speaker 1: Pod Mina's just so fantastic. I remember one time she tweeted,
- 26:38Speaker 1: oh my god, my phone is running off hook. I
- 26:39Speaker 1: remember one time she tweeted. Somebody was just like, how
- 26:42Speaker 1: do you get paid to talk about sports? And she
- 26:45Speaker 1: just answered handsomely and I was like, oh, I love her. Okay, guys,
- 26:51Speaker 1: we are coming to the end of our show and
- 26:55Speaker 1: I don't want to leave this without talking about something
- 26:58Speaker 1: that I think has been on all of our minds
- 27:02Speaker 1: the last week or so. What's happening in Ukraine is
- 27:07Speaker 1: absolutely devastating. I don't even know how to talk about
- 27:09Speaker 1: it without crying. But it is very, very hard to
- 27:13Speaker 1: watch and feel, I'm sure helpless, like you guys are
- 27:16Speaker 1: feeling as well at home, and I just wanted to
- 27:20Speaker 1: encourage anybody that, you know, maybe has some spare change
- 27:24Speaker 1: land around. I think what the hardest thing about, you know,
- 27:29Speaker 1: social media is like you can see all of these
- 27:31Speaker 1: terrible things happening, but it's just like content content, overwhelming
- 27:35Speaker 1: news feed. Everything the world is just happening, and I
- 27:38Speaker 1: think that sometimes it you just have to like take
- 27:41Speaker 1: a second and step away from your phone and realize, like,
- 27:43Speaker 1: oh my god, the world is like kind of on
- 27:45Speaker 1: fire right now, and we should be helping if we
- 27:47Speaker 1: can see the NFL is actually supporting relief efforts in
- 27:50Speaker 1: Ukraine and in the surrounding region, and you can go
- 27:54Speaker 1: to Redcross dot org slash NFL. There's actually they're supporting
- 27:58Speaker 1: a bunch of different things, so just do your research
- 28:00Speaker 1: and but that is definitely one that you can help
- 28:03Speaker 1: out on. I also heard that Airbnb is waiving their
- 28:07Speaker 1: rental fees, so if you go on Airbnb and you
- 28:09Speaker 1: look up Ukraine, you can actually rent out an Airbnb
- 28:13Speaker 1: and that money goes straight to the people who are
- 28:16Speaker 1: renting those rooms. So if you want to do like
- 28:18Speaker 1: an immediate, you know, helping donation, that is definitely one
- 28:23Speaker 1: that you can look into. But I just I really
- 28:25Speaker 1: urge you to just like take a second and stop
- 28:28Speaker 1: and you know, get off TikTok and like Google, how
- 28:32Speaker 1: can I help? Because this this these are real people
- 28:35Speaker 1: who are absolutely struggling, and it's just really devastating to watch,
- 28:42Speaker 1: and so I really hope that we can all chip
- 28:44Speaker 1: in a little bit, and I would really appreciate if
- 28:46Speaker 1: you guys did that. We're gonna be back next week
- 28:49Speaker 1: talking more NFL. So stay tuned, subscribe, and follow us
- 28:53Speaker 1: on Twitter and Instagram to see all the clips and
- 28:55Speaker 1: the tweets and everything that we've been talking about. Love
- 28:58Speaker 1: you guys, Happy Burday, jug your dog. Next
