Transcript
- 0:09Speaker 1: What's going on, everybody? This is Jeff Mosher. This is
- 0:12Speaker 1: the Inside the Birds week thirteen review. And if you're saying,
- 0:17Speaker 1: what do you mean review? Don't you usually do the
- 0:20Speaker 1: week thirteen preview? Yes? I did not do one last
- 0:23Speaker 1: week for two reasons. One I was actually away with
- 0:26Speaker 1: my family during the Thanksgiving break, and two, with four
- 0:32Speaker 1: games already played, you know, you get the three Thanksgiving
- 0:36Speaker 1: Gay Day games, you get the Friday game between the
- 0:39Speaker 1: Eagles and the Bears. By the time my show comes
- 0:42Speaker 1: out on Staff, four games would have already been played.
- 0:45Speaker 1: You had a couple of teams on the buy. So
- 0:47Speaker 1: I just made the executive decision. I will look back
- 0:51Speaker 1: on the week that was, and then we'll proceed as
- 0:54Speaker 1: normal this week. So this coming Saturday, I'll do a
- 0:57Speaker 1: Week fourteen preview. And because I didn't do my three
- 1:00Speaker 1: picks last week without doing a show, I'll give you
- 1:03Speaker 1: guys the pleasure of doing six picks coming up on
- 1:08Speaker 1: the next show. Or I could just tell you all
- 1:11Speaker 1: the great picks I would have made in and nobody
- 1:14Speaker 1: would have believed me. But let's take a little bit
- 1:18Speaker 1: of a temperature of where the NFL is right now.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Because I always say that Thanksgiving is when you start
- 1:27Speaker 1: to really learn what the league is, who's for real,
- 1:30Speaker 1: who's not for real, and go from there because the
- 1:34Speaker 1: next you know four weeks are going to be very
- 1:37Speaker 1: critical for a lot of teams. And I will say
- 1:41Speaker 1: that I do think unlike most years, unlike most years,
- 1:47Speaker 1: this is not a normal season. I do not think
- 1:51Speaker 1: at Thanksgiving that the two to three to four teams
- 1:55Speaker 1: or two in each conference have separated themselves. In fact,
- 1:59Speaker 1: I think gets somewhat of the opposite. As I record
- 2:03Speaker 1: this on Monday, the two teams that are currently the
- 2:08Speaker 1: number one seed in their conference I don't think will
- 2:11Speaker 1: be in the Super Bowl, the Broncos of the number
- 2:15Speaker 1: one seed in the AFC, and by the way, I
- 2:17Speaker 1: don't even think that the number two seed right now
- 2:19Speaker 1: in the AFC, the Patriots, And by the way, I'm
- 2:22Speaker 1: recording this before the Patriots play the Giants, so there's
- 2:26Speaker 1: always that that Monday night game. But either way, I
- 2:30Speaker 1: don't think the top two seeds are going to be
- 2:32Speaker 1: in the super Bowl. I might even extend it to
- 2:35Speaker 1: all of the top four Denver, New England, Jacksonville, Baltimore.
- 2:40Speaker 1: I'm not quite sure I see any of those teams
- 2:43Speaker 1: as definitively in the super Bowl. Obviously, the Broncos are
- 2:48Speaker 1: on a great role and what a great win they had.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Now credit the Commander's Commander's played an incredible game, and
- 2:57Speaker 1: we'll get to that in a second. But obviously what
- 3:00Speaker 1: the Broncos are doing is very impressive. Even though they
- 3:03Speaker 1: win every game by one score, you can't take away
- 3:07Speaker 1: the fact that they basically win every game. They have
- 3:11Speaker 1: now won nine straight games since starting over one and two.
- 3:16Speaker 1: So of all the four teams that I sit here
- 3:18Speaker 1: and talk about the division leaders at the moment, the
- 3:21Speaker 1: Broncos clearly to me have the best chance of being
- 3:24Speaker 1: in the Super Bowl. They have an elite defense, but
- 3:27Speaker 1: offensively they are very flawed.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Sky Motor Cars and West Gast there's a different building
- 3:31Speaker 2: dealers in all the Texas one on with their highline
- 3:34Speaker 2: pre owned vehicles, but people all over the country what
- 3:36Speaker 2: the honor French golder make sure you don't spend the
- 3:39Speaker 2: time with your money before you've purchased the car. Sky
- 3:42Speaker 2: Motorcars allows you to make all the decisions regarding your
- 3:45Speaker 2: next vehicle. At Sky Motor Cars, you never have to
- 3:48Speaker 2: spend more than necessary because the Skymotorcars dot Com today
- 3:52Speaker 2: are called six ten, nine to one, eight seventh.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Two fives. Hey it's Jeff Mosher. And if you have

- 5:15Speaker 1: There's no saint like simply say. Then you have the Rams.
- 5:18Speaker 1: The Rams are nine to three. They just lost to
- 5:22Speaker 1: the Carolina Panthers in a game that they turned the
- 5:25Speaker 1: ball over three times. The Rams almost never, especially Stafford,
- 5:30Speaker 1: almost never turned the ball over and they still only
- 5:32Speaker 1: lost by three despite their turnovers. All right, thirty one
- 5:36Speaker 1: twenty eight. Credit to the Panthers. They were at home. Yeah,
- 5:39Speaker 1: they made a ton of big plays. I would say
- 5:42Speaker 1: that Bryce Young has woken from the dead. The Panthers
- 5:46Speaker 1: are the strangest team. They're either scoring no points, or
- 5:49Speaker 1: they're getting killed by somebody, or they're just barely beating
- 5:52Speaker 1: a good team by two or three points. And then
- 5:55Speaker 1: they go and beat the Rams. And they stopped the
- 5:58Speaker 1: Rams who had a six game win. I don't think
- 6:01Speaker 1: any less of the Rams now than I did before
- 6:05Speaker 1: they lost the game. They're nine to three. To me,
- 6:08Speaker 1: they're the best team in the NFC. I can see
- 6:10Speaker 1: them in the Super Bowl. I think they have a
- 6:12Speaker 1: great mix of offense and defense. The quarterback has played
- 6:15Speaker 1: at a high level. He almost never turns the ball over,
- 6:18Speaker 1: so I think that was more flucish than it was
- 6:20Speaker 1: a harbinger for anything. So I like the Rams, but
- 6:24Speaker 1: they can not afford any slippage. You know, they're nine
- 6:28Speaker 1: and three, but so are the Seattle Seahawks, and they
- 6:30Speaker 1: still have to play each other again, so that can change.
- 6:34Speaker 1: The Seahawks are certainly in contention for the number one seed.
- 6:38Speaker 1: The Eagles are eight and four. They have a lot
- 6:41Speaker 1: of issues. I mean, of all the teams right now
- 6:43Speaker 1: that are division leaders. You know, it was just a
- 6:46Speaker 1: few weeks ago that the Eagles looked like the most
- 6:49Speaker 1: obvious division winner. You knew the Bears were gonna have
- 6:53Speaker 1: to fight it out with the Packers and with the Lions.
- 6:55Speaker 1: You knew the Bucks we might have to fight it
- 6:58Speaker 1: out with Carolina. I mean, they were probably the second
- 7:01Speaker 1: favorite to win their division. You knew the Rams were
- 7:04Speaker 1: gonna have to duke it out with San Francisco and Seattle.
- 7:07Speaker 1: The Eagles. The Eagles were the Kings of the Hill.
- 7:11Speaker 1: They had a huge cushion, and now you look at
- 7:14Speaker 1: them at eight and four and they have to play
- 7:16Speaker 1: the Chargers on Monday night. The Chargers are a good team.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Now you look at them, and Dallas is right there
- 7:22Speaker 1: behind them six to five and one, split the series.
- 7:25Speaker 1: What if Dallas wins. Yeah, when they play on Thursday
- 7:30Speaker 1: night against Detroit, which is a tough game. But what
- 7:33Speaker 1: if they win and they get the seven to five
- 7:35Speaker 1: and one and the Eagles lose and they're eight and
- 7:37Speaker 1: five all of a sudden, this race is far from over.
- 7:41Speaker 1: And it is far from over until we see until
- 7:44Speaker 1: the Eagles win another game and Dallas loses another game,
- 7:48Speaker 1: I will not feel comfortable about the Eagles definitively winning
- 7:52Speaker 1: this division. But nonetheless, this team, all it has to
- 7:56Speaker 1: do is figure some little things out. They don't have
- 7:59Speaker 1: to be perfect. They were eight and two, not perfect,
- 8:01Speaker 1: and they beat some very good teams. So if they
- 8:03Speaker 1: can figure a few things out, they can be super
- 8:07Speaker 1: Bowl worthy. Tampa Bay, they are healthy now, er right,
- 8:12Speaker 1: I told you that this was the team to watch.
- 8:15Speaker 1: When they start to get a little bit healthier, all right.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Bucky Irving came back touchdown in his first game. They
- 8:23Speaker 1: beat a Cardinals team that gives almost everybody a tough,
- 8:27Speaker 1: tough time. So they get to seven and five, and
- 8:30Speaker 1: now they have a very easy schedule. They got Irving back,
- 8:33Speaker 1: Godwin came back. Not gonna get Evans back anytime soon,
- 8:37Speaker 1: but Guka, now you got, you got Reddick back. They
- 8:40Speaker 1: have the Horses now at seven and five to beat
- 8:43Speaker 1: the Saints. Then they got to play the Falcons. Win
- 8:46Speaker 1: that game easily. Then they've got Panthers Dolphins Panthers. Six
- 8:52Speaker 1: weeks ago you would have said, oh, that's three and o.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Panthers are playing a little better obviously, and so were
- 8:57Speaker 1: the Dolphins, so it may not be the cakewalk that
- 9:00Speaker 1: it looks like. But nine they should. Honestly, Falcon Saints,
- 9:04Speaker 1: they should get to nine and five as long as
- 9:06Speaker 1: they don't have any major injuries, even though Mayfield is
- 9:10Speaker 1: hurting as well. All right, should get to nine and five,
- 9:13Speaker 1: and then if you can win one or two of
- 9:15Speaker 1: those last three Panthers Dolphins Panthers, you'll get your tenth
- 9:18Speaker 1: to win, probably win the division at that point. So
- 9:22Speaker 1: those are your four division leaders, Chicago, Rams, Eagles, Bucks.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Of those four, I think the Rams are the best team. Obviously,
- 9:30Speaker 1: you're worried about the Eagles. I don't know if Tampa
- 9:32Speaker 1: Bay can make it to the super Bowl. I don't
- 9:35Speaker 1: know if Chicago can make it to the super Bowl.
- 9:37Speaker 1: I feel like Seattle could, I feel like Green Bay.
- 9:42Speaker 1: I know Green Bay has looked bad at times this year,
- 9:46Speaker 1: but they're getting healthier, and they're gonna get Jaden Reid back,
- 9:50Speaker 1: probably get healthier in the wide receiver Cort Christian Watson
- 9:53Speaker 1: is coming along. And since that two game losing streak
- 9:56Speaker 1: against the Panthers and the Eagles, they've rattled off three
- 10:00Speaker 1: straight wins and their offenses looked a lot better. Grant it.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Twenty seven against the Giants, twenty three against the Vikings,
- 10:05Speaker 1: thirty one against the Lions. Very impressive, all right, huge
- 10:09Speaker 1: game coming up against the Bears. Then they got the Broncos,
- 10:12Speaker 1: even bigger game, Then they get the Bears again, and
- 10:16Speaker 1: then they end with the Ravens and the Vikings. So
- 10:18Speaker 1: what I'm saying is this, right now, they're still the Packers.
- 10:22Speaker 1: They're eight and three, they're in it. They're a wildcard team.
- 10:24Speaker 1: Don't look like a super Bowl team, However, against this schedule,
- 10:29Speaker 1: win three, go three and two, get yourself eleven wins,
- 10:33Speaker 1: three and two against those five tough teams. Four, I
- 10:35Speaker 1: won't consider the Vikings stuff four tough games. Bears, Broncos, Bears, Ravens.
- 10:39Speaker 1: All right, win three or more of those games, and
- 10:43Speaker 1: we will look at the Packers as a different editor
- 10:46Speaker 1: of legit legit super Bowl contender. And if you want
- 10:50Speaker 1: to say something similar about the Lions here at seven
- 10:53Speaker 1: to five, if they beat the Cowboys, then they got Rams, Steelers, Vikings, Bears.
- 11:00Speaker 1: All right, not easy, all right. The easiest team in
- 11:04Speaker 1: there is the Vikings. Second easiest is the Steelers. So
- 11:07Speaker 1: you'd expect at very least that they win those two games,
- 11:11Speaker 1: and then you hope they win for them one of
- 11:14Speaker 1: those three against the Cowboys, Rams, and Bears. Can they
- 11:16Speaker 1: go three and two, get to ten and seven, might
- 11:19Speaker 1: get them in. We'll see what happens with the rest
- 11:21Speaker 1: of the division. But if they get to eleven wins,
- 11:26Speaker 1: if they go four and one against that schedule, you
- 11:28Speaker 1: will look at them a lot differently. Guess this is
- 11:32Speaker 1: my way of saying that I think the NFC is
- 11:35Speaker 1: pretty strong. I mean, you look at the top seven
- 11:38Speaker 1: teams right now, I mean, the Niners, how good have
- 11:40Speaker 1: they been despite all their injuries this year? I don't
- 11:43Speaker 1: care that they played a cake schedule. You know what,
- 11:45Speaker 1: They're nine to four. They are not a great fifty three.
- 11:49Speaker 1: They have injuries all over the place, all right, and
- 11:52Speaker 1: they still got a two game lead right now over
- 11:54Speaker 1: the Lions for that seventh spot. So for some teams
- 11:59Speaker 1: like Dallas and maybe even Detroit might be easier to
- 12:01Speaker 1: win the division, they're getting a playoff spot. So it's
- 12:05Speaker 1: all very uh, it's all. It's a really good NFC
- 12:10Speaker 1: from top to bottom. I haven't even mentioned, you know,
- 12:12Speaker 1: Carolina's sitting at ten, at ten and six. Suppose would
- 12:16Speaker 1: it shocked me if they went on some kind of run.
- 12:18Speaker 1: I mean, they're a weird team. They beat the good teams,
- 12:22Speaker 1: they lose to the bad teams. They have great games
- 12:24Speaker 1: against good teams, bad games against bad teams. I can't
- 12:27Speaker 1: figure him out. But you know, obviously the drop off
- 12:30Speaker 1: after there you get Atlanta, Minnesota. They they're out of it.
- 12:34Speaker 1: The only team here that you watch as a spoiler
- 12:39Speaker 1: because they're playing hard is Washington. Because Dan Campbell, I'm
- 12:44Speaker 1: not Dan Campbll. Dan Quinn took over play calling. He
- 12:48Speaker 1: wanted to take over play calling on the defense. It
- 12:50Speaker 1: hasn't helped him per se in the way he did it.
- 12:52Speaker 1: After they lost forty four to twenty two to the Lions,
- 12:55Speaker 1: and they fell to three and seven. Then they played
- 12:57Speaker 1: the Dolphins, held the Dolphins to sixteen points, lost sixteen thirteen.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Remember they've been struggling offensively. Okay, going, but you only
- 13:06Speaker 1: you held the Dolphins to sixteen points. Rule of thumb.
- 13:10Speaker 1: You hold the team under eighteen points, you should expect
- 13:12Speaker 1: to win. Learn that from the Jim Johnson Eagles. Hey,
- 13:15Speaker 1: one thing that always scares me is the latest financial scam.
- 13:19Speaker 1: And with the holidays, it's all about finding the perfect gift.

- 15:22Speaker 1: and an experience made for Philly fans twenty one and up.
- 15:26Speaker 1: All right, they go in the bye week, come out
- 15:28Speaker 1: of the bye week, you're at home, play a very
- 15:31Speaker 1: inspired game against the Broncos. Let's be honest, they should
- 15:33Speaker 1: have won the game. And I'm not gonna pile on
- 15:36Speaker 1: the guy. I'm not gonna kick him. But zach Ertz
- 15:40Speaker 1: dropped two big ball you know, drop the deep posts
- 15:43Speaker 1: in the fourth quarter that would have kept the drive going.
- 15:45Speaker 1: And then of course he drops the ball in the
- 15:47Speaker 1: end zone and all that that could all have changed.
- 15:51Speaker 1: I think that he catches one of those two balls
- 15:54Speaker 1: and they probably beat the Broncos. But hey, listen, I
- 15:57Speaker 1: salute their ability to go down by a touchdown the
- 16:01Speaker 1: overtime come by score. Anyway, they can't get the two
- 16:04Speaker 1: point conversion all out blitz. It was a great play
- 16:07Speaker 1: call by the Broncos. I totally get why they went
- 16:11Speaker 1: for it there, because you're three and three and eight.
- 16:13Speaker 1: You might as well lost the game, but earned a
- 16:16Speaker 1: lot of I think respect, all right, And you can say, well,
- 16:20Speaker 1: they gave up twenty seven points, Yeah, but that was
- 16:23Speaker 1: with an extra overtime. I mean, they're not a great defense,
- 16:27Speaker 1: but and Denver's offense isn't good too. And certainly when
- 16:33Speaker 1: you give up even twenty points to the Bronco offense
- 16:35Speaker 1: where you let him go down in overtime and score
- 16:37Speaker 1: a touchdown, doesn't say much about your defense because the
- 16:40Speaker 1: Broncos is not a good offensive team. But they played hard.
- 16:45Speaker 1: The Commanders played hard. Mariota I thought he played as
- 16:48Speaker 1: well as he could have played. Ertz did catch ten balls,
- 16:51Speaker 1: so I don't want to kick him while he's down
- 16:53Speaker 1: too much. You know, McLaurin had a nice game, even
- 16:57Speaker 1: though he's hobbled. Washington can be spoiler. They play the
- 17:01Speaker 1: Eagles twice over the last three weeks. So if the
- 17:04Speaker 1: Eagles don't figure it out, and by the way, they
- 17:06Speaker 1: play the Cowboys in between, the Commanders go Eagles, Cowboys Eagles.
- 17:12Speaker 1: So do not minimize the role that the Commanders will
- 17:16Speaker 1: play in how the NFC East and the NFC Playoff
- 17:21Speaker 1: picture shakes out. They won't be in it, but they
- 17:26Speaker 1: will have a hand in controlling it, especially if they're
- 17:30Speaker 1: able to play spoiler. What if they play spoiler twice?
- 17:33Speaker 1: What if they beat the Eagles in one of those
- 17:35Speaker 1: two games and beat the Cowboys. It's gonna be really interesting.
- 17:39Speaker 1: But I do think you have to give Washington credit.
- 17:42Speaker 1: They are not laying down and dying for any team.
- 17:47Speaker 1: They're not doing it. They're coming to play now. Sometimes
- 17:50Speaker 1: that you start to lose a few games and guys
- 17:53Speaker 1: just give up. But for now, dan Quinn has them
- 17:57Speaker 1: locked in and ready to go. So that's your NFC picture.
- 18:02Speaker 1: In the AFC. I want to go back to this.
- 18:05Speaker 1: I told you I don't believe as much in the
- 18:08Speaker 1: current top four seeds in the AFC as I do.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Maybe some of the it's amazing. I mean, the teams
- 18:16Speaker 1: you thought going into the year, Buffalo, Kansas City, Houston
- 18:23Speaker 1: Bengals with Joe Burrow. I mean, right now, the Bills
- 18:26Speaker 1: are in the seventh spot, clinging to it, and that
- 18:29Speaker 1: was a huge loss for them in an even bigger
- 18:32Speaker 1: win by the Texans. Now, if you've been listening to
- 18:35Speaker 1: me all year, I have probably been for someone not
- 18:39Speaker 1: living in Houston about as upset at the Texans offense
- 18:44Speaker 1: as an observant. I'm sorry, objective observant could be because
- 18:49Speaker 1: I love the Texans defense, and I happen to be
- 18:51Speaker 1: a very big fan of Demko. I like catching up
- 18:54Speaker 1: with him when I see him at the Combine. He's
- 18:56Speaker 1: a great human being. Enjoyed covering him when he was
- 19:00Speaker 1: with the Eagles, just as classy and as just great
- 19:05Speaker 1: of a dude as you can imagine. And so I
- 19:08Speaker 1: want success for him, and I feel like he's a
- 19:10Speaker 1: very good defensive play caller and he has assembled a
- 19:13Speaker 1: very good defense there that kept getting victimized over and
- 19:17Speaker 1: over by their putrid offense. And then when everything seemed
- 19:24Speaker 1: to be out for them, right when it all seemed lost,
- 19:28Speaker 1: when CJ. Stroud got hurt, you thought that they were done.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Lo and behold, they have won four straight games. Davis
- 19:38Speaker 1: Mills came in at three and five and he beat
- 19:41Speaker 1: the Jaguars and they put points on the board. They
- 19:44Speaker 1: win that game thirty six, twenty nine. Right then he
- 19:46Speaker 1: beats the Titans. He should beat the Titans. It was ugly,
- 19:49Speaker 1: but they won the game sixteen thirteen. Then they beat
- 19:52Speaker 1: the Bills, and then the Colts. That win against the
- 19:57Speaker 1: Bills was so big, all right, twenty three to nineteen.
- 20:02Speaker 1: Gotta give a lot of credit again to Davis Mills,
- 20:04Speaker 1: but even more for the defense that held the Bills
- 20:06Speaker 1: to nineteen points. And then C. J. Stroud comes back
- 20:10Speaker 1: and he beats the Colts twenty to sixteen. Listen, you
- 20:14Speaker 1: can question some team schedules, but right now the Colts
- 20:18Speaker 1: were looking like a top three seed. Okay, a couple
- 20:21Speaker 1: of weeks ago. The Bills are the Bills. You know,
- 20:23Speaker 1: I know they're struggling this year. The Jaguars win looks
- 20:27Speaker 1: good because the Jaguars are sitting in the number three
- 20:30Speaker 1: seed right now at eight and four. So you look
- 20:33Speaker 1: at Houston, they're seven to five. They're one game behind
- 20:36Speaker 1: Buffalo for the seventh seed. All right, I would not
- 20:40Speaker 1: be surprised if Houston figures out a way to get
- 20:43Speaker 1: in with that defense, as long as they continue to
- 20:46Speaker 1: play really good defense and just get some offensive sembles.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Now they have a third straight difficult game coming up
- 20:54Speaker 1: against the Chiefs. I mean, you just knocked off the Colts,
- 20:56Speaker 1: you knocked off the Bills a week before, and now
- 20:58Speaker 1: you got the Chiefs on the scale. It's a little
- 21:00Speaker 1: bit of a murderer's row for them. But man, if
- 21:03Speaker 1: they beat the Chiefs, we'll start to look at the
- 21:06Speaker 1: Houston Texans and their stock go way way up. Then
- 21:10Speaker 1: they'll have the Cardinals and Raiders after that, and then
- 21:13Speaker 1: they end against the Chargers and then another game against
- 21:17Speaker 1: the Colts. My god, how incredible is the AC South
- 21:22Speaker 1: Right now? You got Jacksonville leading it. You guys have
- 21:24Speaker 1: heard me all year. I do not believe in Jacksonville.
- 21:27Speaker 1: I just don't. I give them a world of credit.
- 21:32Speaker 1: They are what they are. They're eight and four parcels says,
- 21:34Speaker 1: your record is what it is. They beat the Chargers
- 21:36Speaker 1: thirty five six a couple weeks ago. Since then went
- 21:39Speaker 1: over the Cardinals, went over the Titans. Okay, they got
- 21:41Speaker 1: the Jets coming up after the Colts, so they've got
- 21:44Speaker 1: winnable games on the schedule. They also have the end
- 21:46Speaker 1: of the year on the Titans. So you gotta figure
- 21:49Speaker 1: with the Jets and the Titans on the schedule, they're
- 21:51Speaker 1: at least gonna get to ten wins. Now, they've got
- 21:54Speaker 1: the Colts, the Broncos after the Jets, and then the
- 21:58Speaker 1: Colts again before the Titans. All right, so those are
- 22:03Speaker 1: three games that are gonna help decide the AFC South.
- 22:07Speaker 1: And then, of course I told you about Houston what
- 22:09Speaker 1: they've got, and then you know Tennessee is obviously Tennessee.
- 22:15Speaker 1: But you're I mean, between Houston and Jacksonville and Indianapolis
- 22:19Speaker 1: right now, couldna be a fun one going to be
- 22:23Speaker 1: a fun one. It's a little bit like the NFC North.
- 22:26Speaker 1: I mean, it could be any one of the three
- 22:29Speaker 1: teams when all said and done. I like Houston's defense
- 22:32Speaker 1: the most. I like Indianapolis's offense the most. And yet
- 22:39Speaker 1: Jacksonville is the team right now that is sitting pretty
- 22:43Speaker 1: in the top spot. The Chargers, they hold the fifth
- 22:48Speaker 1: seed at the moment, they're eight and four. They got
- 22:52Speaker 1: a two game leader. Well, I mean, they're not gonna
- 22:53Speaker 1: win the division, obviously. The Broncos are gonna win the
- 22:56Speaker 1: AFC West, So they're just trying to hold on, which
- 22:59Speaker 1: I think they'll be able to do well. I think
- 23:02Speaker 1: that that'll be fine. You know. I think Houston really
- 23:05Speaker 1: at seven and five and maybe Kansas City at six
- 23:09Speaker 1: six are six and six are the only teams that
- 23:12Speaker 1: are trying to kick out the Colts and the Bills
- 23:15Speaker 1: and the Chargers. But I don't know if that's gonna happen.
- 23:18Speaker 1: I can see the Texans doing it, can't see Kansas.
- 23:21Speaker 1: I can't gook Kansas City. Well, have to say, it
- 23:25Speaker 1: all depends on how Indianapolis and Buffalo and the Chargers finish.
- 23:29Speaker 1: But Chargers gonna get Hampton back most likely for this
- 23:32Speaker 1: Eagles game. They've hung in there. I have felt that
- 23:35Speaker 1: a slide for them was coming because they've lost both
- 23:38Speaker 1: of their offensive tackles for the year. They lost to
- 23:41Speaker 1: the Jaguars pretty badly a couple of weeks ago. They
- 23:43Speaker 1: beat the Raiders, but I can't give them much credit.
- 23:46Speaker 1: So they're eight and four, you know, Eagles, Chiefs, Cowboys, Texans,
- 23:50Speaker 1: broncos Man. That is a brutal, brutal finish. So if
- 23:54Speaker 1: there's going to be a team that gets kicked out
- 23:56Speaker 1: of this wild kart spot in the AFC, I could
- 23:59Speaker 1: see it being the Chargers. That that's brutal. They may
- 24:02Speaker 1: not get to ten wins. In fact, I can't believe
- 24:05Speaker 1: I'm saying this, But is the Eagles game the easiest
- 24:08Speaker 1: game left on their schedule Chiefs, Cowboys, Texans, Broncos. After
- 24:12Speaker 1: that could be see the Eagles are the Chiefs. The
- 24:15Speaker 1: two teams that were in the Super Bowl are now
- 24:19Speaker 1: one of the two easiest teams, two easier games left
- 24:23Speaker 1: on their schedule. So if they can get to ten wins,
- 24:27Speaker 1: but they may not get any more than that, and
- 24:29Speaker 1: that might be enough depending on how Houston, Buffalo, and
- 24:34Speaker 1: Indianapolis all finished. But so that's where I'm at. You know,
- 24:39Speaker 1: I do think that the strong the two. If you
- 24:40Speaker 1: ask me right now who are the two strongest teams
- 24:44Speaker 1: in each conference? I will tell you, meaning not by record,
- 24:49Speaker 1: not by strength of win, just by who could I
- 24:52Speaker 1: see in the AFC Championship game. I want to say Baltimore,
- 24:58Speaker 1: But I'm a little worried. They're They've been so banged up.
- 25:03Speaker 1: They're just even when they were winning all those games
- 25:05Speaker 1: and I thought they were back to themselves, which they were,
- 25:09Speaker 1: I mean, they won five in a row, they lost
- 25:11Speaker 1: badly to the Bengals. That's great Joe Burrow came back.
- 25:14Speaker 1: I get it that the Bengals are a totally different team.
- 25:17Speaker 1: They've got the Steelers, Bengals, Patriots, Packers, Steelers, so they're
- 25:24Speaker 1: gonna get to probably seven eight, They're probably gonna win
- 25:28Speaker 1: nine games, maybe get to ten. We'll see if they
- 25:31Speaker 1: can kind of catch fire here. I can see Buffalo
- 25:35Speaker 1: in the in the I'm sorry, I can see Baltimore
- 25:37Speaker 1: in the AFC Championship game as long as they're healthy. Hey,
- 25:41Speaker 1: I still like a good night out, but I'm not
- 25:44Speaker 1: always in the mood to drink. And that's why I

- 27:07Speaker 1: birds for thirty percent off. So is it Broncos and Ravens.
- 27:13Speaker 1: I guess those are the teams that I feel strongest
- 27:15Speaker 1: about now. I know Indianapolis has gone through a rough stretch.
- 27:17Speaker 1: I won't count them out. I'm not gonna erase the
- 27:20Speaker 1: first ten or eleven weeks of football they played really well.
- 27:23Speaker 1: I'm not gonna let a few down games disrupt me.
- 27:27Speaker 1: In fact, yeah so I do. If I did my
- 27:30Speaker 1: hierarchy right now, I'd probably say Broncos, Ravens, and Colts
- 27:35Speaker 1: are my top three teams in the AFC West. I
- 27:38Speaker 1: am expecting a Chargers slide. I could be wrong about that.
- 27:41Speaker 1: Trust me. If the Chargers win a bunch of games here,
- 27:43Speaker 1: I'll give them all the props in the world. And
- 27:45Speaker 1: Houston is my dark horse. If Houston gets that offense going,
- 27:48Speaker 1: their defense is very, very it's definitely good enough to
- 27:52Speaker 1: get them into the AFC Championship game. And in the NFC,
- 27:56Speaker 1: I think the Rams and the Seahawks are the two
- 28:00Speaker 1: best overall teams. The Packers have a chance here with
- 28:08Speaker 1: how they finish, to show everybody that their offense is
- 28:12Speaker 1: better and that they are a legit team. I think
- 28:16Speaker 1: the Eagles have a chance to get themselves right. But
- 28:19Speaker 1: you know we're gonna cover that a lot this week
- 28:20Speaker 1: on Inside the Birds. But right now, to me, the
- 28:23Speaker 1: Rams and the Seahawks are the two best teams in
- 28:26Speaker 1: the conference, and I give Green Bay a puncher's chance
- 28:31Speaker 1: to prove that they can knock one of those two teams.
- 28:33Speaker 1: Off I like Tampa. I think they're gonna finish with
- 28:37Speaker 1: a bunch of wins. I just don't know that I
- 28:39Speaker 1: love their defense enough. I like with them getting healthier
- 28:43Speaker 1: on offense, what they can do. Don't know that I
- 28:45Speaker 1: love their defense enough to say that I can see
- 28:47Speaker 1: them in the NFC Championship game. But hey, you never know.
- 28:52Speaker 1: Any given Saturday or Sunday in January, you can get
- 28:55Speaker 1: a big upset and that can be disruptive. So I
- 28:59Speaker 1: just wanted to that because I didn't do my preview.
- 29:03Speaker 1: I didn't want to go through all the games that
- 29:04Speaker 1: were just played. Just you know, we talked about some
- 29:07Speaker 1: of them. The Thanksgiving games that were big. Obviously, the
- 29:10Speaker 1: Bears beating the Eagles was huge. The Texans beating the
- 29:13Speaker 1: Colts I mentioned that was very big as well. You know,
- 29:17Speaker 1: the Buccaneers getting back on track beating beating the Cardinals
- 29:20Speaker 1: was very, very big for them. Same thing with the
- 29:23Speaker 1: Bills sort of to get their mojo back by beating
- 29:26Speaker 1: the Steelers. I think I'm going to be right about
- 29:29Speaker 1: my pick in the preseason that the Steelers are going
- 29:31Speaker 1: to miss the playoffs. I just just don't like that
- 29:34Speaker 1: that roster at all. They're just not good enough. And
- 29:38Speaker 1: you know, I know that they've been able to make
- 29:40Speaker 1: the playoffs when not good enough in the past, but
- 29:43Speaker 1: this time they ran into an AFC picture that I
- 29:46Speaker 1: believe is going to be a little bit too deep
- 29:49Speaker 1: for them. Again, AFC is not more talented the NFC,
- 29:53Speaker 1: but there's too many good teams and I just don't
- 29:55Speaker 1: think the Steelers are going to be able to figure
- 29:57Speaker 1: this thing out and get into the playoffs. I know
- 29:59Speaker 1: they do every year, but not this year. I don't
- 30:02Speaker 1: see it. Anyway. That's gonna do it For my Week
- 30:06Speaker 1: thirteen NFL review. I will absolutely do my Week fourteen preview.
- 30:12Speaker 1: It'll be out on Saturday. I'll do six picks. Like
- 30:15Speaker 1: I said, Well, I mean, you guys really miss me
- 30:17Speaker 1: going one and two on my three picks every week.
- 30:19Speaker 1: Now of course you didn't, So that'll do it. And hey,
- 30:23Speaker 1: you got a great game Monday night and awesome game
- 30:27Speaker 1: Thursday night between the Cowboys and the Lions. So as
- 30:31Speaker 1: I always say, enjoy your football watching.
