- 0:17possibilities, new ways of. Thinking.

- 0:21So welcome to the coop and let's start your day off in a
- 0:24fantastic way. Hey everybody, good morning from
- 0:29the chicken coop Question of the day.
- 0:32Is there something in your life that is confusing you where you
- 0:36don't know what your next move should be?
- 0:39Happens to everybody. We go through it.
- 0:42I'm going through it with something right now and I don't
- 0:45know what my next move should be in this situation yet.
- 0:47So I'm in a contemplative state now.
- 0:50The reason we're bringing this up is because it's so important.
- 0:53Everybody goes through this and it can be a small thing or it
- 0:56could be a big thing, but when you are trying to figure
- 0:59something out, the strategy is very important that you start
- 1:03with first. It's that you can't keep looking
- 1:05at the problem and expect to just have the answer like plop
- 1:09into your lap. Sure, every so often that might
- 1:11happen, but what's really beneficial is to get your mind
- 1:15quiet first. Get the question that you want
- 1:18to have answered. So literally write the question
- 1:21that you are contemplating on a piece of paper and have it in
- 1:24front of you and then fold the paper down and quiet your mind.
- 1:28Say I've got the question and I'm going to quiet my mind and
- 1:32I'm going to get very still. Now for those of you who are
- 1:35like me and say I can't quiet my mind.
- 1:37My mind is like chaos all the time and everyone on my bus is
- 1:40always talking and I wish they would shut the hell up.
- 1:43I understand. I feel your pain and there the
- 1:46way to quiet it down is to you, typically, you know there is
- 1:50something that does quiet your mind.
- 1:52So for some people it's actually watching a movie that's all
- 1:55consuming because during that time you're not thinking about
- 1:58anything else. You're just hunkered down in the
- 2:00movie. For some people, it's
- 2:02meditating. I'm not one of those people.
- 2:04For me, it's gardening because when my hands are dirty of any
- 2:07way, shape or form, it really just settles my soul down.
- 2:11Once you get yourself quiet and you're in that space, you can
- 2:15come back and say, OK, now let me unfold the paper and read the
- 2:19question and then close the paper back down.
- 2:23Then go do something else. Don't keep just every, every so
- 2:28often throughout the day you read the question.
- 2:30You could read the question up to 20 times in the day, but
- 2:33you're not obsessing on it. You're just getting the question
- 2:36in, getting the question in, getting the question in.
- 2:38And then the trick to this whole thing is reaching a point where
- 2:44at before you go to bed, you're going to just pause and say, I
- 2:48am so grateful that that is settled.
- 2:50I'm so grateful it's settled. I'm focused on it being settled,
- 2:54feeling settled, even though you may not have the answer.
- 2:57Because when you go to bed, your subconscious mind is going to
- 3:00ruminate on that question that you've embedded all day.
- 3:03And now you're seeing it as if it's settled and magically good
- 3:07things are going to start to happen.
- 3:08You're going to start to have clarity.
- 3:10This might take a couple of times doing it, you know, a
- 3:13couple days in a row. But I promise you, when you do
- 3:15it, you start to get clarity. You start to get less frenetic
- 3:19about it. You start to get less nervous
- 3:22and all of a sudden you start to feel more empowered because
- 3:24you're working towards the solutions.
- 3:26You're not just working towards being all amped up because
- 3:30there's a problem. But it takes time and patience.
- 3:33And if you are not willing to be be patient with yourself, that's
- 3:37when you get frustrated. Like right now, they're very
- 3:40frustrated with each other. They're all fighting over
- 3:42something. Who knows what they've got.
- 3:44But the point is you have to allow yourself that space.
- 3:49And you can't keep ruminating consistently on the question
- 3:53because if you do, you start to get more amped up about the
- 3:57problem. And as Einstein said, it has
- 4:00occurred me repeat many times, the mind that created the
- 4:02problem is not the mind that can solve the problem.
- 4:05You must change your mind, and changing your focus changes your
- 4:09mind. Unfortunately, changing our
- 4:11focus is not easy for humans. We like to stay focused on that
- 4:14one thing that's driving us crazy.
- 4:17And we like, oh, yeah, I'm going to stay right here.
- 4:20And I'm going to keep thinking about it and drilling it down
- 4:23like a, you know, a dentist with a drill right into the tooth
- 4:26until I get an answer. But that you can't force an
- 4:29answer. So that's what I have for you
- 4:32today. Try that exercise, see if it
- 4:35helps you. Run it for a number of days if
- 4:38you have to. But works for me, my friends.
- 4:41OK, I hope you have a blessed day and I will see you tomorrow.
- 4:44Bye.
