- 0:08Speaker 1: Sure, it's time lell welcome through the naughty but nice
- 0:17Speaker 1: sham your house, Rob Shooter. It is Wednesday morning. Now,
- 0:20Speaker 1: normally you're very lucky every Wednesday. Our dear friend Donnie
- 0:24Speaker 1: Meacham joins us. However, today his mommy's visiting him in LA.
- 0:29Speaker 1: I love this. Since Donnie moved to La. His relationship
- 0:33Speaker 1: that he's spoken about on the show, which has been
- 0:36Speaker 1: challenging with his mom in the past, has got really,
- 0:39Speaker 1: really good now and so they're having a fantastic time
- 0:42Speaker 1: together enjoying La. It warms my heart. But what it means, Naughties,
- 0:47Speaker 1: is that we're doing the show together today. It's just
- 0:49Speaker 1: you and me. Don't worry. We've got a ton of
- 0:52Speaker 1: a gossip to get to. Let's jump right in. What
- 0:55Speaker 1: time is it, my friends? It is tea time. Did
- 0:57Speaker 1: you sing along? I bet you did? Thank you very much, Okay.
- 1:01Speaker 1: A sad story at the top of the show. The
- 1:04Speaker 1: Prince of Darkness has taken his final bower. Ozzie Osborne,
- 1:09Speaker 1: the heavy metal icon and founding member of Black Sabbath,
- 1:14Speaker 1: has died at the age of seventy six. His family
- 1:18Speaker 1: confirmed the heartbreaking news with a statement saying the legendary
- 1:22Speaker 1: rocker passed away surrounded by love. Quote. It is with
- 1:29Speaker 1: more sadness than mere words can convey that we have
- 1:34Speaker 1: to report that our beloved Ozzie Osborne passed away this morning.
- 1:39Speaker 1: The statement was signed by his wife Sharon, and his
- 1:43Speaker 1: children Jack, Kelly, Emilie and Lewis. They went on to say, quote,
- 1:51Speaker 1: whilst with his family, he was with his family and
- 1:54Speaker 1: surrounded by love, and we ask everyone to respect our
- 1:57Speaker 1: family privacy. At this time, the exact cause of death
- 2:02Speaker 1: has not been released. Now. This comes just weeks after
- 2:06Speaker 1: he was surrounded on stage by his fans and fellow
- 2:10Speaker 1: rockers for a reunion tour in Birmingham, England, That's where
- 2:13Speaker 1: I'm from. He had a brilliant time that evening. He
- 2:18Speaker 1: spent the entire evening on my throw and clearly he
- 2:21Speaker 1: couldn't walk, but he looked great, he sounded great, and
- 2:25Speaker 1: I think it gave him real, real joy. Just on
- 2:28Speaker 1: a personal note here, I have interviewed, spent time with
- 2:31Speaker 1: pretty much every celebrity out there. OSSI was one of
- 2:34Speaker 1: the best. He was really cool, he was really down
- 2:38Speaker 1: to earth. All the trappings of rock stars screaming and
- 2:41Speaker 1: shouting and managers have mean, difficult and agents. He had those,
- 2:46Speaker 1: but he never ever exploited them. He did not want
- 2:49Speaker 1: some manager shouting at you or being a bully, as
- 2:53Speaker 1: he did it himself. He didn't shout, but he did
- 2:55Speaker 1: all the work himself. And it was remarkable spend time
- 2:59Speaker 1: with somebody so kind. That's not a word I often
- 3:02Speaker 1: use with celebrities. I know a ton of them. They're
- 3:04Speaker 1: not very kind. In fact, a lot of them are
- 3:06Speaker 1: really not very good people. Ossi was and that was
- 3:08Speaker 1: the irony. Once he put on a show of being
- 3:12Speaker 1: the prince of darkness, Satanic dark. My goodness, he bit
- 3:17Speaker 1: the head off a bat. However, he told me he
- 3:22Speaker 1: doesn't want to be remembered for that. He wants to
- 3:24Speaker 1: be remembered as a family man. And we saw that
- 3:27Speaker 1: on the reality show. So not only did he help
- 3:30Speaker 1: create heavy metal, that is absolutely true. A lot of
- 3:33Speaker 1: the music experts are saying that today he also helped
- 3:37Speaker 1: create reality TV. Very few stars have as bigger impact
- 3:42Speaker 1: in two genres as Arsie Osborne. A lot of stars
- 3:46Speaker 1: are superstars, there's no denying that. But what Arsie he
- 3:49Speaker 1: did is later on his quiet career, when often now
- 3:52Speaker 1: your records are not selling so well, you're not playing
- 3:54Speaker 1: as a bigger venues and not on the radio anymore.
- 3:57Speaker 1: He created reality TV. You can not underestimate the power
- 4:03Speaker 1: of his reality show. I worked at VH one for
- 4:06Speaker 1: a couple of years on my own show, and Ozzie
- 4:09Speaker 1: was the king of the building. He had made VH one,
- 4:12Speaker 1: He had made that company more money than anybody else
- 4:15Speaker 1: with his reality show. And because of his show, we
- 4:18Speaker 1: got Housewives, we got Kardashians, we got Jessica and Nick
- 4:22Speaker 1: and Newlyweds, and so all those reality shows that we
- 4:25Speaker 1: love came after Ozzie Osborne and the secret of the show.
- 4:30Speaker 1: I asked executives, I asked the boss of the company,
- 4:33Speaker 1: what was the secret, and he said it was Ozzi
- 4:36Speaker 1: was the glue that held that family together. And it
- 4:38Speaker 1: was so funny to see him make eggs and shuffle
- 4:41Speaker 1: around the house and then on stage he was the sadistic,
- 4:44Speaker 1: screaming bat eating persona, but in person he was a
- 4:49Speaker 1: really good family man. Hey, rest in power. Moving along
- 4:57Speaker 1: more news. We touched on this yesterday, but Malcolm Jamal Warner,
- 5:02Speaker 1: his family now is in turmoil over the funeral plans
- 5:06Speaker 1: and whether or not to invite Bill Cosby. This has
- 5:10Speaker 1: turned into a big thing. So Hollywood is still reeling
- 5:13Speaker 1: from the shocking death of the Cosby alum, but behind
- 5:17Speaker 1: closed doors, a new heartbreak is taking center stage, whether
- 5:23Speaker 1: or not to invite Bill Cosby to the funeral. So
- 5:26Speaker 1: several sources have told me that the family is grieving
- 5:30Speaker 1: bitterly here. But they're also divided. Quote. Some say Bill
- 5:35Speaker 1: helped launch his career and deserves a moment to say goodbye.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Others are saying his presence would turn the service into
- 5:42Speaker 1: a scandal, a total media circus. They both can be
- 5:46Speaker 1: right here. I think it would be a media circus,
- 5:49Speaker 1: but also to does he deserve a moment to say goodbye? Maybe?
- 5:54Speaker 1: But does that have to be so public now? Cosby,
- 5:57Speaker 1: who is eighty six years old himself, remains one of
- 6:00Speaker 1: pop culture's most controversial figures, despite his twenty twenty one
- 6:05Speaker 1: release from prison after his conviction was overturned. Yet his
- 6:10Speaker 1: name still sparks fury and fear and now threatens to
- 6:15Speaker 1: overshadow the farewell of this beloved star. What do you
- 6:21Speaker 1: do here? No data has been set yet for the funeral,
- 6:24Speaker 1: but these conversations are going on. We spoke about it
- 6:27Speaker 1: very briefly yesterday, but he deserved its own segment on
- 6:30Speaker 1: today's show. It's so deep, isn't it? This is about Malcolm.
- 6:36Speaker 1: This is about Malcolm Jamal Warner say his name tragically
- 6:43Speaker 1: taken away from us way too young. On vacation with
- 6:46Speaker 1: his wife, his daughter was swimming, a riptile ripped him out.
- 6:51Speaker 1: There were no lifeguards on the beach. He is now dead.
- 6:56Speaker 1: What do they do? Bill Cosby has put out a
- 6:59Speaker 1: statement that alone was a little bit jarring. Do you
- 7:03Speaker 1: think he should be invited to the funeral? That's gonna
- 7:07Speaker 1: be our poll question of the day. Malcolm Jamal Warner's
- 7:12Speaker 1: family is in turmoil over the funeral and whether or
- 7:15Speaker 1: not to invite Bill Cosby. Our question is very bold today.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Should Bill be invited to the funeral? What do you think? Yes?
- 7:24Speaker 1: Or no? Hey? Go vote on our Twitter page at
- 7:27Speaker 1: Naughty Knights rob our facebook page is Normady Gus in
- 7:30Speaker 1: the amby Sheila to check back tomorrow to hear your results. Okay,
- 7:35Speaker 1: moving along, Megan and Harry are in trouble again as
- 7:38Speaker 1: they vanish from the spotlight. And what makes this even
- 7:42Speaker 1: more painful as nobody seems to have noticed So the
- 7:46Speaker 1: Royal rebels who once ruled the headlines, now they can't
- 7:50Speaker 1: even crack Netflix's top three hundred. So Netflix put out
- 7:56Speaker 1: a list of all their shows in the top three hundred,
- 7:58Speaker 1: and crickets from the Royals. Harry and Meghan are watching
- 8:02Speaker 1: their stardom quietly evaporate. Once not so long ago, they
- 8:07Speaker 1: were the toast of Tinseltown, and now the Sussexes are
- 8:10Speaker 1: struggling to stay relevant. Meghan's new lifestyle show, It's called
- 8:14Speaker 1: With Love, however, it has turned out to be a
- 8:17Speaker 1: complete dud, drawing abysmal viewers and scathing reviews. Now Harry's
- 8:22Speaker 1: documentary about Polo that did even worse, barely making a splash,
- 8:27Speaker 1: and now their one hundred million dollar Netflix deal it
- 8:30Speaker 1: is not going to be renewed. So a couple of
- 8:34Speaker 1: things here, Maybe the most important is the last thing
- 8:36Speaker 1: I said, The money's gone. How are these two going
- 8:39Speaker 1: to earn money? They live like royals, no pun intended.
- 8:43Speaker 1: They live very, very large, but they don't have the
- 8:46Speaker 1: money coming in to support that. They've got to figure
- 8:49Speaker 1: out a way to make money. Maybe equally devastating is
- 8:54Speaker 1: people have just got sick of them. This is what
- 8:56Speaker 1: they call over exposure. In my pr days, in my
- 8:59Speaker 1: magazine days, you could see it happening all the time
- 9:02Speaker 1: to celebrities. They just wouldn't stop, to the point where
- 9:05Speaker 1: you just get sick of them and you just want
- 9:07Speaker 1: to break. It's like an annoying friend who's always there,
- 9:10Speaker 1: just always complaining, always being annoying, and in the end
- 9:13Speaker 1: you just need a break. I think the public need
- 9:16Speaker 1: a break from Harry and Megan. I get it. I
- 9:19Speaker 1: get when they left the Royal family, they felt, this
- 9:22Speaker 1: is our moment, this is our chance to make tens
- 9:25Speaker 1: of hundreds of millions of dollars, set ourselves up for lives,
- 9:28Speaker 1: make ourselves into American royals. And they went at it
- 9:32Speaker 1: in a way that some people are saying is just
- 9:34Speaker 1: it was too aggressive, it wasn't really organic. And also
- 9:39Speaker 1: to constantly bashing the family. I've said this before, I
- 9:42Speaker 1: will say it again. The only reason we are interested
- 9:46Speaker 1: in this couple is the one subject that they seem
- 9:48Speaker 1: to be running away from the Royal family. They've got
- 9:52Speaker 1: to sit down and figure out, who are we, what
- 9:53Speaker 1: are we going to do next? How are we going
- 9:55Speaker 1: to make some money? Do we need to live this big?
- 9:58Speaker 1: Because they sort of blew it. And I think too,
- 10:00Speaker 1: they need new people around them. Whoever is advising them,
- 10:03Speaker 1: I don't think you're doing a very very good job.
- 10:06Speaker 1: After they left Britain, there was an opportunity to really
- 10:10Speaker 1: transform not just their lives, but everybody's lives that they
- 10:14Speaker 1: could possibly touch, charities, organizations, building bridges, But no, they've
- 10:20Speaker 1: burnt every bridge out there. You've got to be honest here.
- 10:24Speaker 1: Some of this, too, is Harry and Meghan's fault. You
- 10:27Speaker 1: can always blame people around them, but they're the boss.
- 10:29Speaker 1: If you hire a terrible manager, that's your fault. Yes
- 10:32Speaker 1: you've got an awful manager, but you let it happen.
- 10:35Speaker 1: You're the boss. You're paying all these people to give
- 10:38Speaker 1: you terrible advice. I think it's time for them to
- 10:41Speaker 1: go away for a little bit, to have a reset,
- 10:45Speaker 1: to rethink this. And the big question i'd ask them
- 10:48Speaker 1: is who are you? What are you going to do next?
- 10:52Speaker 1: And if they can answer that, and why that's really important?
- 10:55Speaker 1: Why are you doing this? And if they can answer that,
- 10:57Speaker 1: I think that'd be much much better than sitting down
- 11:00Speaker 1: with Oprah doing tell all books, do something that really
- 11:03Speaker 1: really matters. I'm rooting for you, But I only if
- 11:06Speaker 1: you're going to get another chance. Okay, moving along, Benson Boom,
- 11:11Speaker 1: who exploded onto the pop scene, is having a bit
- 11:13Speaker 1: of a meltdown, worried that he's going to be a
- 11:15Speaker 1: one hit wonder. So the twenty three year old sensation,
- 11:19Speaker 1: let's be honest, he is a sensation, is privately panicking
- 11:22Speaker 1: that his follow up album, American Heart, has flopped. Heart
- 11:27Speaker 1: sales were anemic, reviews Chile and fans they're not biting.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Sources tell me he's terrified. This is every artist's worst nightmare,
- 11:37Speaker 1: that you peak, that your peak came with your last single.
- 11:42Speaker 1: His last single was huge, and it was everywhere, and
- 11:46Speaker 1: we saw him doing backflips off pianos all around the world.
- 11:50Speaker 1: But now the follow up is the really important thing.
- 11:53Speaker 1: This is what turns you from a one hit wonder
- 11:56Speaker 1: into a big star. The next album, and the next
- 11:58Speaker 1: one and the next one. Bett Middler once said you
- 12:01Speaker 1: were only as popular as your last record. So Bet
- 12:03Speaker 1: has sold well fifty sixty million albums. But Beck does
- 12:07Speaker 1: not have a record deal at the moment because her
- 12:10Speaker 1: last album flopped. It didn't sell very well. So it's
- 12:13Speaker 1: not about the history. It's about what you're doing now,
- 12:16Speaker 1: and so Benson boon oh. I try to listen to it.
- 12:19Speaker 1: I think the problem is is he's trying to transition
- 12:22Speaker 1: into a different type of artist. No, we want the
- 12:24Speaker 1: pop music. We want to dance to your songs. That's
- 12:27Speaker 1: who you are. It's like when Jaylo got all deep
- 12:29Speaker 1: and heavy in that love album with Ben and it
- 12:32Speaker 1: wasn't what we go to Jayler for. We go to
- 12:34Speaker 1: Jennifer to shake our booties. And I think Benson maybe
- 12:38Speaker 1: the same. I'm wishing you well, my friend. Maybe you'll
- 12:41Speaker 1: get a third album, maybe sales will pick up, but
- 12:44Speaker 1: I'm not one hundred present, one hundred percent convinced. Okay, quickly,
- 12:50Speaker 1: before we go to break, A very controversial subject is
- 12:54Speaker 1: bubbling up. Billy Porter is going into Cabaret on Broadway.
- 12:59Speaker 1: You know, Cabaret the most amazing musical said in Nazi Germany.
- 13:05Speaker 1: It is very deep, very serious, but also to some
- 13:08Speaker 1: really beautiful tender moments. Well, he's going into Cabaret as
- 13:13Speaker 1: the MC Joel Gray wouldn't Oscar for that role. And
- 13:15Speaker 1: he's doing interviews and he said something very controversial that
- 13:18Speaker 1: he's not sitting well with. I think pretty much anybody.
- 13:21Speaker 1: He said, quote blacks have replaced the Jews. Let me explain.
- 13:26Speaker 1: So he has ignited outrage with a tone deaf comment
- 13:31Speaker 1: that insiders say could tank the cabaret revival once again.
- 13:37Speaker 1: He said, quote blacks have replaced Jews during an interview,
- 13:41Speaker 1: in tempting to compare historical oppression. So his people are
- 13:46Speaker 1: saying this comes from a good place. He's saying that
- 13:49Speaker 1: historically blacks have been oppressed, Jews have been oppressed, and
- 13:53Speaker 1: so we're in this together. But he didn't say together.
- 13:56Speaker 1: He said blacks have replaced Jews. Now, this is the
- 13:59Speaker 1: wrong show and the wrong message and very much the
- 14:01Speaker 1: wrong time. Porter, who is currently headlining in Cabaret, And
- 14:05Speaker 1: let me remind everybody, it's a musical on the persecution.
- 14:10Speaker 1: It is centered on the persecution of choos in Nazi Germany.
- 14:14Speaker 1: If you don't want to tell that story, Billy Porter,
- 14:18Speaker 1: if you want to tell a different story, then do
- 14:21Speaker 1: a different show. I hate it, don't you When people
- 14:24Speaker 1: come in and what we call in show business is
- 14:28Speaker 1: they have to pee on it. What that means is
- 14:30Speaker 1: they have to make it about themselves, no play the character.
- 14:34Speaker 1: It is one of the most beautifully written musicals of
- 14:37Speaker 1: all time. It is a heartbreaking show, and with what's
- 14:40Speaker 1: going on in the world today, it's a really, really
- 14:42Speaker 1: important show. Producers are really worried that this is not
- 14:46Speaker 1: only distorting history, but also too it is going to
- 14:50Speaker 1: stop people from wanting to go to see Cabaret. I'm
- 14:53Speaker 1: one of those people. I've seen it twice already. I
- 14:55Speaker 1: saw it with Eddie rick Naine. He was brilliant. I
- 14:59Speaker 1: have seen it too with Adam Lambert who took over,
- 15:02Speaker 1: and I was hoping to go and see Billy Porter.
- 15:04Speaker 1: He's a brilliant singer, actor, a Tony Award winner. Now
- 15:08Speaker 1: I'm not so sure. Let me remind you one more
- 15:11Speaker 1: time what he said. He said quote blacks replaced the Jews. Ouch. Okay,
- 15:19Speaker 1: We're gonna take a quick break here and we'll be
- 15:22Speaker 1: right back. Welcome back to the Naughty but Night Show.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Your Hostomp Shooter. Hey you, let's get to the polls
- 15:29Speaker 1: that they duh lash shall We talked about Brea Blake
- 15:32Speaker 1: Lively banning Selena Gomez from her birthday bash? Was it
- 15:36Speaker 1: because Taylor Swift was there? So Taylor Swift was at
- 15:38Speaker 1: the party. We know Blake Lively and Taylor have had
- 15:40Speaker 1: a falling out over this lawsuit. They have not spoken
- 15:43Speaker 1: or seen each other since Blake filed this multimillion dollar
- 15:46Speaker 1: LUW suit. So Selena and Taylor are really really close.
- 15:50Speaker 1: Selena and Blake not so much. They know each other obviously,
- 15:53Speaker 1: they've hung out a few times, but they're not close friends.
- 15:55Speaker 1: It's Taylor that's the glue. She's the one that holds
- 15:58Speaker 1: all these three together. And if Taylor's not close with Blake,
- 16:01Speaker 1: Selena's not close with Blake. And so what do you
- 16:04Speaker 1: think here? Was she not invited because Taylor was there? Oh? Gosh,
- 16:08Speaker 1: ninety percent, yes, I think I agree absolutely, Although some
- 16:13Speaker 1: friends say even if Taylor and Blake had not fell out,
- 16:16Speaker 1: Blake probably wouldn't have been invited because this was a
- 16:19Speaker 1: very small, intimate birthday party of just Selena's really close friends.
- 16:24Speaker 1: Blake is not one of those. She's not a really
- 16:26Speaker 1: close friend. She's someone she knows. I think they like
- 16:29Speaker 1: each other sort of, but they're not close friends. They
- 16:31Speaker 1: don't text, they don't speak. So I think you're right, naughties.
- 16:34Speaker 1: But maybe maybe even if Taylor wasn't there, I'm not
- 16:37Speaker 1: absolutely convinced that Blake would be there. Either. Okay, don't
- 16:42Speaker 1: forget to vote on today's Paul. Go to our Twitter
- 16:44Speaker 1: page and Norty nys rub Our Facebook page is Naughty Gossip,
- 16:49Speaker 1: and be sure to take back tomorrow to hear your
- 16:52Speaker 1: results are. Now it's time for and nicest of the Day. Oh,
- 16:57Speaker 1: and nicest of the day is Christina Hack. You know
- 17:01Speaker 1: her from Christina on the Coast. Her show just got canceled.
- 17:04Speaker 1: Her HGTV show just got pulled after six seasons. HGTV
- 17:09Speaker 1: going through turmoil. They're canceling all their big, big shows
- 17:13Speaker 1: and so her show was pulled. She was devastated. They
- 17:16Speaker 1: asked her to take a pay court, and she reminded them,
- 17:18Speaker 1: you make millions off of this show, and so why
- 17:21Speaker 1: should I earn less. She earns about fifty thousand dollars
- 17:24Speaker 1: an episode, which is a lot of money, but nowhere
- 17:26Speaker 1: near the one million dollars everyone in the cast of
- 17:30Speaker 1: Friends made for their show. Now, obviously Friends is a
- 17:32Speaker 1: much bigger show, but Christina on the Coast I thought
- 17:35Speaker 1: she could make more than that. I think the Real
- 17:37Speaker 1: Housewives some of them made more than that. And Christina
- 17:39Speaker 1: show was just as popular as though, so the network
- 17:42Speaker 1: was being cheap she would not back down. And now
- 17:45Speaker 1: the show is gone. Don't worry though, I'm told she's
- 17:49Speaker 1: already in talks with other networks about doing a new show.
- 17:53Speaker 1: No You're worth, No You're worth and nicest of the day.
- 17:58Speaker 1: And now I noticed the day. Naughty, naughty. Oh. Denise
- 18:01Speaker 1: Richard's divorce is turning so so nasty, so so quickly.
- 18:06Speaker 1: And now Charlie Sheen has been dragged into the mess.
- 18:09Speaker 1: So her estranged husband Aaron has gone full scorched earth.
- 18:14Speaker 1: He's filed a police report after a blowout July fourth fight.
- 18:19Speaker 1: They had a fight on July fourth. He claims that
- 18:21Speaker 1: Denise smacked his phone, very phone he says has proof
- 18:27Speaker 1: of an affair. Denise was having explicit messages he had
- 18:31Speaker 1: got from her laptop. Denise said he is lying, She's
- 18:34Speaker 1: not having an affair. He also implied that she's a
- 18:37Speaker 1: drug abbict. She's taking Vicardain. She has denied that. Now
- 18:41Speaker 1: I'm told Charlie's name has been brought up and he's
- 18:44Speaker 1: going to get dragged into this too. They are going
- 18:47Speaker 1: at it. This is not going to get nasty, my friends,
- 18:50Speaker 1: It is nasty, insiders. Once one source told me Aaron
- 18:56Speaker 1: wants to win in court and also in the court
- 18:58Speaker 1: of public opinion. Ooh, you know these reality stars. If
- 19:02Speaker 1: this is your life, though, if these are the rules
- 19:05Speaker 1: you live by, we shouldn't be too surprised when it
- 19:08Speaker 1: really becomes your real life as well as your life
- 19:11Speaker 1: on TV. And what is the day? Let's end with
