- 1:08Let George Do It. Hi riposo personal not as change is my stock and
- 1:15trade. If the job's too tough for you to handle, you've got a
- 1:18job for me. George Valentine right full detail. Standard Oil Company of California
- 1:30invites you to let George do It. Before we begin tonight's adventure, George
- 1:40Valentine, I'd like to remind you that the oil in your car needs to
- 1:42be changed regularly to keep your engine clean and cut down on those repair bills.
- 1:48So don't neglect this important job. Let car seevers. Drain your crank
- 1:52case and fill it with fresh heavy duty RPM, the motor oil that reduces
- 1:57engineware and greatly increases the time between overhauls. If you're overdue, stop in
- 2:01tomorrow for a complete oil change at any independent Chevron gas station or stands station
- 2:07where they say and mean we take better care of your car. Kay Raposo,
- 2:20a transcribed adventure of George Valentine. There was a Valentine for a man
- 2:32who advertises that dangers is stuck in trade. The assignment I had in mind
- 2:38may possibly turn out to be a bit tame. On the other hand,
- 2:42may suddenly find yourself full of lit I asked Tomate, you can handle the
- 2:46job in about forty eight hours. If all goes well. In that time,
- 2:50we'll travel over six thousand miles and complete a business transaction that unfortunately I
- 2:53can't have for myself. I'll expect you at my office tomorrow afternoon. George,
- 2:59we're I'm a trip to some place more than three thousand miles away.
- 3:01What do you mean we Besides, I'm not particularly interested in going to New
- 3:06York, Darling, it couldn't be New York. It's more than three thousand
- 3:09miles away, and the man says it might be dangerous. You didn't finish
- 3:13the letter who sent it Oh, Thomas Jefferson Moore, President Western Tobacco.
- 3:16Thomas Jefferson Moore, Yes, you know, I'm George only by reputation,
- 3:20big cigar manufacturer, meionnaire sportsman. Oh well, then I guess you'd better
- 3:25be a sport and take the job. Now. Why would Thomas Jefferson Moore
- 3:29want me to complete a business transaction for I don't know learning but it does
- 3:35sound a little bit exciting. Yeah, yeah, it does. Well,
- 3:38I don't guess I'd better go see the big shot and find out what kind
- 3:40of a deal it is. Ah, what do you mean? I mean,
- 3:45we'll go see mister Moore and if you don't fix it so I can
- 3:47make the trip to Georgia, I'm all right, Angel, all right,
- 3:51we'll go see mister Moore. This whole thing was very simple, Valentine.
- 4:01I'll brief you, then you make your plans. Oh what am I supposed
- 4:04to do? There's a man in Havannah, Santus or Lego, big plantation
- 4:09operator, has a large amount of very excellent tobacco I wish to buy.
- 4:13You will go there and close the deal. But mister Moore, why can't
- 4:15you buy buy mail or radiogram a telephone simply because it's being sold at auctions,
- 4:20Brooks. That makes sense, But why can't you go to Havannah and
- 4:25bid on it yourself if it's that important, Because I prefer to keep my
- 4:29health, I'm afraid I don't follow you. I didn't think you would.
- 4:32In this city. There's a certain gentleman, I use the word extremely loosely,
- 4:38a gentleman by the name of Ren Hubbard. Oh, he's a racketeer
- 4:42or something, isn't me? I believe that's one description, except that for
- 4:46the purposes of the moment, he's calling himself a tobacco broker. He figures
- 4:51to buy the same lot, but he can't stop you from bidding against him,
- 4:55and not directly. Now, however, I have it on good authority
- 5:00no less than one of the Hubbart's henchmen, that if I go to Havana
- 5:03on this deal, I stand the chance of having my life abruptly ended.
- 5:08I don't relish that thought serious. Your mean, if anybody's going to be
- 5:13bumped off, you'd rather it be me. I can see you a young
- 5:17man with rare insight, mister Valentine. Now you will travel United Delta National
- 5:21to Miami your plane leaves at ten fifty five. This even you mean our
- 5:26plane, don't you, mister Moore, Yes, i'd rather anticipated that,
- 5:30remarkless Brooks all right, transportation for both of you expenses of course, and
- 5:36double your daily fee. Valentine, you are better cable for reservations at the
- 5:41Nationale Best hotel in Havannah. You seem to take it for granted, mister
- 5:44Moore, that I'm willing to have people take pot shot set who'd take pot
- 5:47shots at you? Hubbart's men would know you represent me, unless, of
- 5:53course, they should happen to jump at conclusions. Yeah, it's all very
- 5:56cozy, I hope so. Also they won't know that you were have in
- 6:00your pocket my sign check the amount left blank coursing another. What did you
- 6:08say? That's taking a pretty long chance. There's no MISTI Moore. I
- 6:13could fill in that check for anything I liked. I could ruin you.
- 6:15I could also stop payment on the check, couldn't I. Yeah, I
- 6:18guess you're good, and mister Valentine will take the job. Mister more,
- 6:21the plane is at ten fifty five, you say that's right? Oh,
- 6:25and Valentine, don't bid over eighty five thousand dollars on the tobacco. That's
- 6:30as high as I go. Suppose Hubbard's man goes higher. He won't if
- 6:33he did lose money on the deal. Hubbard wouldn't like that any more than
- 6:39I would. I see, well, I still want me assumes the deal's
- 6:43close, Valentine, or have miss Brooks do it for you. Here's the
- 6:47blank check and another one for two thousand dollars expenses and so on. Just
- 6:53a minute, that's all the afternoons, Valentine. But look, I'm enjoys.
- 6:56There isn't much time and we have to pack. That's us. You're
- 7:13now arriving at Blanche Brillero the airport, hasn't it for Havana. May take
- 7:16the bus the aero car, Yes, mister Valentine. How long does it
- 7:19take to get into town at the airport. It's thirty minutes, sir.
- 7:23Have your reservations at a hotel. Yes, we've made reservations at the Nazionale
- 7:27that you won't have any trouble. The bus stops there when it gets in
- 7:30the city. Okay, thanks, not at all, mister Valentine. Fast
- 7:32and seat belts please. We are now arriving at Havanna oh, Senor Valentine,
- 7:38how do you know my name? But Senior twice the young lady said,
- 7:43oh yeah, I've forgotten. What can I do for you? Perhaps
- 7:46the point is what can I do for you? Seniel? What do you
- 7:49mean? I mean, Senorito, that I know Senior Valentine's mission here.
- 7:55You see, I bought it the plane at Miami at the request of Senior
- 7:59Moore. Oh see, I am to be a sort of bodyguard for you.
- 8:03I am to help you as much as possible. Yeah, wow,
- 8:07that's very nice of you and mister Moore. And so I suggest that when
- 8:11we land a Rancho boyars we see miss Brooks on the ero car buss,
- 8:15then I will arrange for an auto and we will drive on to a place
- 8:18where we will meet Senior or Lego. Look, bus, that doesn't quite
- 8:22make sense as I understand it. Our Lego is holding a tobacco auction and
- 8:26it's not until tomorrow morning. I see you say you are quite right about
- 8:30that. But as I understand the matter, it's quite possible to make he
- 8:35shall we say it be? But mister Moore didn't tell us anything about that.
- 8:39Hey, naturally, Senorita, he had his reasons. Well, Senor,
- 8:45shall I arrange for a carna? Oh I think not, my friend.
- 8:48I was given my instructions. I believe I'll play along just as I
- 8:52was told before I left the sticks. He was as your wish. I
- 8:56say, you do not trust me. I suppose I do not blame you,
- 9:01Senno. But one thing. Yeah, if you should need me,
- 9:05I will not be very far away. You might just leave a message at
- 9:09the death of your hotel. I will be there immediately. Well that's very
- 9:13nice of you, mister. My name is Migil. I will see you
- 9:18when we have arrived in Havana, Seno. Yeah, yeah, okay,
- 9:22And it looks as Oway just about in. Come on, Brooks Syne,
- 9:24let's be ready to take that bus to the hotel. Yeah. Who isn't?
- 9:37Oh what a second brook scene? Yeah? What is it? Angel?
- 9:43What's happened? What I came to your room to find out? What
- 9:46do you mean? Come on it? Oh? Thanks? Look what's this
- 9:48all about? Why the mystery? Hasn't anyone's been here? Done? No?
- 9:54No, I've just been relaxing. Figured I'm getting dressed for dinner in
- 9:56a few minutes. George. A girl called me in my room on the
- 10:00her name is Rosa Sintada. Whatever. She wanted to know if a man
- 10:03named mcguel had come to see you since we arrived. Hey, that's the
- 10:07guy who talked to us on the plane. Yeah, I know. Oh
- 10:09why didn't this girl call me instead of you? And what does she say
- 10:13about this miguel? Just that he's crooked, works for round Hubbard and that
- 10:16she's found out he's supposed to get you before you go to that auction tomorrow.
- 10:18Yeah, that guy did sound like a phonny. That's a good thing.
- 10:22I didn't fall for his gag and go with him. But what is
- 10:26this Rosa fit in the picture. She happens to be secretary to sound as
- 10:28our lega. That's all I see. But I still can't figure out she
- 10:33didn't call me. She's afraid that mcgel person might be in your room.
- 10:35And she also said she was going to see you. Listen, angel,
- 10:39Why should she see me? Her boss is auctioning awesome tobacco. I'm supposed
- 10:43to bid on it. It's as simple as that. If the opposition thinks,
- 10:48yeah, who isn't your valen? Yeah? It would you please to
- 10:54let me come in? Rosa? Who are you, George. Did she
- 10:56say about Yeah, that's a secretary. I am a secretary to fan.
- 11:00Yeah, yeah, I know, I understand. Just a second, say
- 11:05your Valentine. Wow, please come in, George. Yeah, that's right.
- 11:11May I come me in? Wow? Yes? Please do now,
- 11:20Valentine, you are in danger. I am see you. You are here
- 11:24on the business transaction for a singer more in these states. No, well,
- 11:28I suppose I am. My employer knows all about it, of course,
- 11:31but he also knows that another person by the name of Hubbard is determined
- 11:37to stop you, even if he has to kill you. I see.
- 11:43I'm afraid you're sen Your Hubbard is still in a state. But Keill in
- 11:46these states is not a man named me. Get George, I told you
- 11:50this girl called. Let me get this straight. What exactly does your boss
- 11:54want me to do? He does not like violence, Senior. He does
- 11:58not like bloodshed. He want you to be safe until the auction tomorrow.
- 12:03I've got to agree with the sentiments, but I still don't know why you're
- 12:05here to take you to my employer, signor Valentine. He does not like
- 12:09these other men, this this Hobbard. He wishes to protect you. I
- 12:13am to take you to him at once. That's very nice of him,
- 12:16But I still don't. I think we better do what she says. Let's
- 12:20go with and not you, Senorita. No on, we cannot all go
- 12:26to many of us. What excites sustation? I am to take Senor Valentine
- 12:31to my employer. Hello. No, hey, now you go to your
- 12:35room, lock yourself in. I'll go spend the night with Senor our lego
- 12:39see in the morning at the auction. But George, suppose something happens to
- 12:41you while you're making your bids. I imagine our Lego will take pretty good
- 12:45precautions against that. So get some sleep, Angela, and I'll see you
- 12:48in the morning. All right, Rosin, let's go, ah, Rosa,
- 13:03See, Senior you're a very good drivers. But you were going to
- 13:09take me to see our lego. See that is right. I happen to
- 13:11know enough about Havannah to be sure we're in the old city. I see
- 13:16you do not understand. I guess I don't understand why, Senior Lego.
- 13:22What was a very oh what do you call? Yes, eccentric man?
- 13:28Is that the right word in English? Sounds right? But how does it
- 13:31figure when he could live anywhere, and Hawanna, he still likes to live
- 13:33in the old city. You mean our lego lives here, see Senior,
- 13:41say hi, here, Kaposa, I see nobody who can go in?
- 13:48Okay, all right, but for a big tobacco planner, I can't see
- 13:52all right, all right, I thought, if there's nobody around, one
- 13:58cannot hear when someone is waiting in the shadows. Here here, this is
- 14:03the place you live here too, on the taking floor. I have an
- 14:07apartment. My employer will take care of you, Senior, until the auction
- 14:13time. After that, what could happen after that? Nothing? Senior?
- 14:18Of course, here he is Senior a lego. I have brought Senior Valentine
- 14:26as you told me. See you know, Lenggo. I can't quite understand
- 14:31all this, but it's pretty decent of you. Wait, I'm gonna show
- 14:33me girl, See Senor. This girl told me that I'm getting out of
- 14:39here. What this girl told you is what you own. Good Senior,
- 14:43as my guest, you will step into the next room. I have no
- 14:46idea on his plantation, and what am I doing? He runned away busting
- 14:50rosa. Please stand back. Our guests does not seem to be interested in
- 14:56staying You're time right, I don't if you think you can keep me,
- 14:58I feel very sure that I I can. Senor Valentine like this, Now,
- 15:05Rosa, we shall take him to his room, lock him in,
- 15:09and you will give the key. We'll return to tonight's adventure of George Valentine
- 15:24in just a moment. Maybe you've already found out how easy it is to
- 15:28forget to have your car lubricated every one thousand miles, and how hard it
- 15:33is to pay unnecessary repair bills. But the two go together. Forget the
- 15:37lubrication and more often than not to end up with trouble. One good pollution
- 15:41is to have your car lubricated regularly at any independent Chevron gas station or standard
- 15:46station. These car savers give guaranteed lubrication. They keep a record of your
- 15:52car and remind you when services due. Car savers have the lubricants and the
- 15:56know how to do the best job on your car. Their guy by an
- 16:00approved chart which assures complete point by point lubrication. Best of all, they
- 16:04take the time to do the work right. Check every fitting to be sure
- 16:08it's lubricated, Inspect transmission and differential level, and all in all, you
- 16:12can be sure of the very best in lubrication service when you turn the job
- 16:17over to car Savers. So if you're a due for service now, why
- 16:19not stop in real soon and get car Savers guaranteed lubrication at any standard station
- 16:25or independent Chevron gas station, or they say and mean we take better care
- 16:32of your car. It's a simple assignment traveling to Cuba to bid in a
- 16:42desirable lot of tobacco. At least it seems that way until you find yourself
- 16:48held prisoner in a dingy house in the old city of Havana, probably to
- 16:52keep you from being present at the auction. If your name is George Valentine,
- 16:56when you come out of your knockout haze in a room on the cairo,
- 17:00so you begin trying to figure your ankles. Oh oh yeah, yeah,
- 17:11Rose, that o brother, I'm going to see you about this.
- 17:18Hello, Hello, Hello, he let me out of here. I'll lock
- 17:22this door down. I would not advise you to do that thing you.
- 17:26That's Rose, isn't it. Well? Look, how long do you think
- 17:30a man can get along without a drink of water? I do not not,
- 17:33in your Valentine. Maybe a long time? Yeah, I suppose so,
- 17:38but I I sort of figured you for a girl who wasn't that tough?
- 17:42You couldn't bring me a glass of water? I suppose. Yeah,
- 17:48I know, but don't bother. The same thing has happened to me before
- 17:52I get interested in a girl. She turns out to be a heel,
- 17:55just like you did. Now, please don't do me any favors. Yeah
- 18:00I am. I am not like you say, I heal, that's all,
- 18:07you know. I figured you for somebody I might, but never mind,
- 18:12Mike watch I said, never mind. But can you read above?
- 18:17She's my secretary, my assistant. That's all. Oh, that is all
- 18:23God, George. Yeah, you decide that I can have a drink of
- 18:26water. Oh I decide more than that. George. Oh, I like
- 18:32you very much. Maybe I get two cute believers. We sit here and
- 18:37and talk about us. And do you remember me? You do like me,
- 18:48don't you? You understand very well? You're a BEAUTI yeah, yeah,
- 18:56why don't you bring those cue believers and we'll talk about us. See,
- 19:02HI will be back a moment. Sure, you'll be back in a
- 19:07moment. But I'm afraid you'll have to drink two Cuba libras alone Rosy,
- 19:22Hey, Proxy, wake up procey. Senor val Hey, what is this
- 19:30West? Miss Brooks. My name is Simon. Please do not be upset
- 19:33in your Valentine. Your miss Brooks is quite all right. There have been
- 19:37some strange things going on in Havana, Senor. My employer thought it best
- 19:41that we prevented another incident. Yeah, I suppose your employer's name is Miguel.
- 19:47Miguel Old News in York. His name is Santos or Legs. Wait
- 19:51a mint a westmiss box ed Senior Legos estate. She is quite safe.
- 19:56We were about to look for you, and I'll Simon, that's a very
- 19:59pretty story. But I don't have to believe you. You do not have
- 20:02to send your valentine. But if you wish, I will take you to
- 20:04sendor A Legos home and you will find that your missus Brooks is there and
- 20:08quite safe. I had a deal like that before. Okay, we'll find
- 20:12out. How what are you going to do, Senor Valment. You'll see
- 20:15an incidental Simon. I've got a gun here, and I suggest you sit
- 20:18right where you are and don't move very well, Senor, as you wish.
- 20:22Oh operator would you know how to call the home of a Senor Santos
- 20:26a Lego. You are I suppose you do it right now? Thanks?
- 20:30I can see you do not believe me, Senor Valentine. Now where have
- 20:34I heard those words before? I beg your pardner. Thanks skipping simple assignment.
- 20:41Oh hello, let me speak to Senor Santos a Lego please, I'm
- 20:45on it. Oh, Senior a Lego. Well, this is George Valentine.
- 20:48You happen to know a Simon. He's one of yous Brooks is there
- 20:55with you? You see I was telling the truth, Senor. Yeah,
- 20:59yeah, all right, all I go. I'll have Simon bring me out
- 21:03there right away. Prosy prosy, al right, of course, George.
- 21:15I'm firstly all right, thank goodness for that. I've been worried, saying,
- 21:19Or Valentine, your fears were quite groundless. We were simply protecting miss
- 21:23Brue. But why why I would tell you as simply as possible, I
- 21:29have a fairly large stock of very fine tobacco. I know there are two
- 21:33people who would like to buy. One is sing Or More, whom you
- 21:36represent. The other is a person named reyn Hobbart. Wow, now you
- 21:40seem to have the facts down packed. Of course he has, George,
- 21:42He's been by no thing to me. I suppose you explained the whole thing
- 21:45to me too, my boy, I should be happy too. You see,
- 21:48I have been through revolutions violence in this country. I'm a peaceful man.
- 21:53I do not like that sort of thing. I have seen what you
- 21:56call gangsters try to take over this country. As I said, I am
- 22:00a peaceful man. I don't like bloodshake. If I hold the auction tomorrow,
- 22:04I am quite sure that that is what would happen. So the whole
- 22:08thing's off. We've made a trip down here to have enough an no good
- 22:11reason, Oh no, no judge, setting ky, Okay, go ahead.
- 22:15I can't let down the man who hired me, you know, or
- 22:17you will not be letting him down and he going. In fact, you
- 22:19will be doing he may service. Now, if my guess is correct,
- 22:22saying or more allowed you to be not more than eighty five thousand dollars on
- 22:26this lot of tobacco. That is correct. You know everything, don't you?
- 22:30I like your saying or more. I do not like this, Hubbard.
- 22:33So the auction is off, and I will make a special concession to
- 22:37saying your mood. I suppose you mean you'll sell him the tobacco at his
- 22:41price with alanash see without an ocean, but for seventy thousand dollars. If
- 22:47you were considered that a deal, I will drive the papers make that sixty
- 22:51five thousand, and it is a deal. But judge, mister mars here
- 22:53what mister Morsea angel, I'm making an offer. How about it? All
- 22:56I go. He did not expect to run into this resistance. But as
- 23:03I said, I do not like. That's a DLM. See. See
- 23:06we make it. I have the contracts here, we will feel in the
- 23:10amount. You will sign for Senior Moore and give me his check, and
- 23:12then we are fi Senior old Lego. You have made the transactions. See,
- 23:18and this man has practically cheated me at the five thousand dollars. But
- 23:21then perhaps you will wish to change your mind about sending Senior more these special
- 23:25cigars as I suggest, No, no, no, no, he is
- 23:26all right. I must be. As they say in the Status the United
- 23:30States, a good sport, send you a Valentine. Someone here suggested that
- 23:37on the completion of this transaction, I send your more four boxes of fine
- 23:41cigars. My own manufacturer. I still wish to do so, huh,
- 23:45just to make him jealous. No, no, not exactly like that.
- 23:49But we are friendly people in Godba. I like to do this. Will
- 23:55you take the cigars eyone has brought to your senior more please with my compliments?
- 23:59Sure? Sure, glad to Santos Clarence. Huh, I've seen your
- 24:03brand in the States gas running die. No, I will have the contractor
- 24:07on up and we will complete our business. You would be sure to give
- 24:10Seniel more this guys. Oh yeah, sure of course. Outside of an
- 24:14unpleasant incident A two, this has been an easy way to earn a feed
- 24:17Rooks. Ye. Look, you've got a call the airport and make a
- 24:21reservation for Miami as soon as possible. And let's just hope that never again
- 24:26will we have to meet anyone from KAY or a postal. George Angel,
- 24:40it doesn't seem possible. What does not seem possible? Well, mister Moore
- 24:42Tolist, the assignment would take about forty eight hours, and it has not
- 24:45much more than that anyway, and it's all over and you get a nice
- 24:48fee, maybe even enough to put a down payment on a piece of good
- 24:52jewels. What makes you think it's over? Well, isn't it. We
- 24:56made the trip, you brought the tobacco, mister Moore wanted. You have
- 25:00the contract in your part, and I'm bringing him four boxes of Santos Alego's
- 25:03best cigars at the suggestion of his many want. Yes, wonderful, job's
- 25:07done? Not quiet? Oh? Now what do you mean, not,

- 25:48mister Moore? No? No, you've done wonderfully. Well, I guess
- 25:52I'll tell you something back on the expensive un nonsense, nonsense. You got
- 25:56the sign contract, yes I did. Oh see, by the way,
- 26:00well they go told me that he'd sent me four boxes of his best cigars
- 26:04just to make jealous. I suppose you bring them with you? Yeah,
- 26:08yeah, sure of course. Oh I wouldn't forget them. Here you are,
- 26:11mister Moore. Well fine, that's nice of him, Thank you,

- 26:47send you up for quite a long time. Come on, George, I
- 26:49don't understand. I don't blame you, Angel. I just had a hunch
- 26:53and it paid off. I'll tell you about it after I've headed it that

- 28:14Brooks, I was asleep again. Yes, I guess it was a very
- 28:17nice dream. He's too about Rosa. Oh oh yeah, I remember.
- 28:23All right, So you kissed her at least you dreamed you did. But
- 28:27tell me something, anything, Age one, How could you have mister Moore
- 28:32arrested just for getting four boxes of cigars from Harvorna. Oh that yeah,
- 28:37Well they were cigars all right, but the cigar part was only on the
- 28:40outside, Well, isn't it always. I was sort of suspicious when our
- 28:45lego on his pal Simon, insisted I bring four boxes of Santos Clara's back
- 28:48to more. Didn't seem necessary, So when we got in, I had
- 28:52them analyzed at the lab and just had happened to be bacco rappers with the
- 28:57instide full of hate worth almost as much as I paid for the tobacco.
- 29:03Oh then mister Moore really is crooking. Ah yes, in the very profitable
- 29:07sideline. But Havana is so nice and we wouldn't have gone there if it
- 29:12hadn't been for him, that's right. And you made a lot of money
- 29:15on deal, even enough to have any more in Havannah. Yeah, yeah,
- 29:22that's right. And if you know any deserving young kids who want to
- 29:26go there and have it finance, let me know, would you. George

- 30:45You know, I was sure that there was something in the cigars.
- 30:49I didn't know what as far as a who. It could have been a
- 30:55booby trap box of scars meant to kill the Guyhood hired mister Allentine. But
- 31:00she knew something was in there, just because they made such a big deal
- 31:04out of it. You know, you had them say like four or five
- 31:08times, you will take back the four boxes of cigars. You will take
- 31:12back the four boxes of cigars, you know, just calling George's attention.
- 31:18You know, the thing to do is to say, oh, here are
- 31:22four boxes of cigars. Just go ahead and take them back. But the
- 31:27over emphasis you just gave yourself awaite criminals. Goodness? All right, Well,
- 31:33now we turn to listener comments and feedback, and we start with podcast
- 31:41Alley. Adam Graham is a wonderful example of what social media can accomplish.
- 31:47I've enjoyed exploring this new world for me. You have classic radio detectives with
- 31:51him as a knowledgeable and trustworthy guy. He can thenue used to educate himself
- 31:55in both the mystery genre and the world of classic radio. His subjectivity and
- 32:00warm personality make the listening experience seem more real and certainly more enjoyable. He
- 32:05allows his listeners to participate by acknowledging and being open to their corrections and additions
- 32:09to his information. His cowboy accent invites the listener to enjoy the productions in
- 32:15the moment for what they are, rather than to analyze them as a cultural
- 32:21phenomenon of the distant past. I think he does a good job of choosing
- 32:24and organizing the shows for the general audience to explore their own way. The
- 32:30journey can be oddly interesting or strongly sentimental or both Cowboy. Thank you,
- 32:37ma'am. I'm much obliged. Well, we have a Facebook message from Timmy
- 32:44who says I am just about don listening to the Box Start teen series and
- 32:49loving every minute of it. I will miss Dan and Susie for sure.
- 32:52They've been so much fun. What would you suggest for the next suggestion selection
- 32:57to listen to? Thanks again for all that you do them. I've to
- 33:00admit I am not the best person to ask, because the whole basis for
- 33:05a program ending up on this show is me enjoying it. But a few
- 33:09that I'd suggest a Verry Craig Confidential Investigator, Nero Wolf, Kendy Matson,
- 33:16a Rogues Gallery We've got to you know, and of course Pat Novak for
- 33:22higher though that series, I think it tends to be much more a matter
- 33:25of taste. We're about three and a half years in, so we've done
- 33:30a lot of shows. I'd encourage you to check out archives do all our
- 33:36listeners who are perhaps newer to the show, because our because our main archive
- 33:40one goes back two hundred episodes, but if you want more, go to
- 33:44archives dot. Great detectives on that and there we have a list of every
- 33:50program we've done. Occasionally I end up a few weeks behind adding this show
- 33:53that's just been completed, but our major ones are there among them. Jeff
- 33:58Reagan leototis with here. All have at it. And if you're a longtime
- 34:04listener of the show, if you have an idea of what someone who's perhaps
- 34:08newer to the program show you would recommend that we've done in the past,
- 34:13that they go ahead and take a listen to. I'd love to hear from
- 34:15you. Email me that day at the Box thirteen at Great Detectives dot net.
- 34:20All right, well, that will actually do it for today. We
